  before their lifetimes, then that will drive kids or drive,

  I think as as we get further from, as we get further from

  technologically advanced society with AI and such, people are

  going to want relics of the past to hold on to, to touch, to

  feel, to, to, to interact with the trade and sell and have fun

  we're OK buying this stuff. I could not agree more.

  I could not agree more. So similarly I guess I asked buy

  or sell post war vintage. So basically stuff from 1945 up

  to like 1980 by yourself. Say it again.

  Do you think there's more risk or less Less risk with the post

  war stuff? I guess maybe it depends on the

  So like early 50s Mantle, Maze and Aaron feel very, very good,

  And I mean, those are the guys for that generation, right?

  Williams feels real good, real, real good DiMaggio.

  He doesn't have a lot of cards. That's the problem with

  DiMaggio. So I would get on you to my I

  have a question for you. This literally just hit me

  I I just picked this up for my PC.

  Kareem So it's it's a Kareem rookie card.

  PSA 1. So I needed this for my PC.

  Really glad to pick it up at a local show.

  And I was looking at this card and I said, boy, is this thing

  undervalued like at, at, at one point.

  And I know Ross in the the conversation about Bill Russell

  and such, but I mean, when he retired, was he the best player
• 4:55
  ever? Like in the conversation, like
• 4:57
  kind of he was a scoring leader for sure.

  So I mean, people were definitely having that
• 5:01
  conversation. I'm sure of it.

  I mean, I, I wasn't there, but I'm sure of it, right.

  And boy, if you could get Joe Dimaggio's rookie card for 350

  bucks today. Because I just think like

  DiMaggio. I think Kareem is a DiMaggio

  baseball and basketball. I think they're very.

  Similar. Yeah, I.

  Think they're very similar, Yeah.

  And yeah, I think, boy, I'm not. Again, I only have one that I'm

  So I'm not trying to outsell Kareem or anything cards, but

  boy does that feel undervalued. Yeah, So it's the question about

  Kareem is interesting. And my take on it same thing

  like I wasn't there. He retired in what like 80, not

  8889 somewhere in there is that I think he yeah, he had amassed

  he was the all time points leader when he retired.

  But I think that because of there's a few different reasons,

  but I think like Wilt and and Russell were kind of considered

  better than him for a bunch of different reasons.

  I do think like this is a little unfair because I feel like you

  could say this about Wilt and Russell too.

  I do think that there was like a little bit of a personality
• 6:17
  thing with Kareem, and This is why he's a good comparison to

  DiMaggio. Yeah, I know.

  Because they both, they all we're talking about people who

  reputations as being kind of prickly.

  If there was a PTI when Kareem retired, it definitely would

  the all time scoring leader. So it definitely would have been

  you're doing that, if you worry about collecting vintage stuff

  for value, I think you're very safe hoops.

  I think it's an unfortunate situation that we're in where

  it's like when we talked about this, I think on last week's,

  kind of hear him a bit, but but it's not it's nothing too crazy.

  situation where there's one company that has this kind of

  situation where, you know, there's too many bad actors out

  And we're not going to grade our cards anymore and everything's

  just going to be raw. It's like, especially in

  Vintage, like you could maybe get away with that a little bit

  in Modern A. Little bit too, but they they

  got these films now they put on the shiny cards or the cards

  that are not shiny and they make them shiny do.

  Yeah. So yeah, no, we need grading.

  I wish, I wish we could get a better situation, but no, we

  just, we need it. OK, so then let's let's talk

  about the different slabs then. Are you buying or selling PSA

  slabs? Yeah, yeah, you're, you're

  buying. What do you mean?

  Yeah, you got to buy. Yeah, PSA is the boss.

  SGC slabs. Well, listen, if you like how

  SGC slabs look for vintage cards that you want, I would do it now

  just because I'm afraid SGC may not be around forever.

  But yeah, I mean, if you want to get SGC slabs of your vintage

  cards, I would do it now. Buy or sell Beckett slabs.

  Guess CGC is going to come up. They got the clearest slab.

  Yeah. I think the tag slabs are really

  cool. Like I think I like that they're

  too, where people are like cracking slabs and they can take

  That's the one thing about tag and the way that they grade that

  I would encourage other companies to try at least so

  that you can like take that piece of security out of it.
