Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's early morning praise party. I am a Sherry Mackie
- 0:04Speaker 1: at its time right now. Four Today's word, whose voice
- 0:10Speaker 1: are you listening to? Whose voice are you listening to?
- 0:15Speaker 1: Genesis three, four and five says you won't die. The
- 0:19Speaker 1: serpent replied to the woman, God knows that your eyes
- 0:22Speaker 1: will be open as soon as you eat it, and
- 0:24Speaker 1: you'll be like God, knowing both good and evil. You know,
- 0:28Speaker 1: the enemy knows that if he can deceive you into
- 0:32Speaker 1: listening to the wrong voices, he can distract you from
- 0:35Speaker 1: your purpose and keep you from walking into your destiny.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It all started, y'all, in the garden of Eden. God
- 0:40Speaker 1: had already spoken clearly to Adam and Eve. He had
- 0:44Speaker 1: blessed them, placed them in a beautiful garden, and given
- 0:47Speaker 1: them everything they needed. There was only one tree they
- 0:50Speaker 1: were told not to eat, from the tree of knowledge
- 0:52Speaker 1: of good and evil. But then the serpent came to
- 0:55Speaker 1: Eve and began to question what God had said. Eve
- 0:59Speaker 1: knew the truth, she told the serpent, and in fact,
- 1:01Speaker 1: God said we shouldn't eat it, or we will die.
- 1:04Speaker 1: But the enemy didn't stop there. He challenged God's word,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you won't die. God knows that when you eat it,
- 1:09Speaker 1: your eyes will be open. You'll be like God. The
- 1:12Speaker 1: enemy planeted seeds of doubt, y'all, just like he's still
- 1:15Speaker 1: doing today. And instead of immediately rejecting the lie, Eve
- 1:18Speaker 1: began to entertain that lie. She looked at the fruit,
- 1:21Speaker 1: she thought about the fruit, she listened to the voice,
- 1:23Speaker 1: and eventually, y'all, she acted on what she heard. That's
- 1:26Speaker 1: how deception works. The enemy doesn't always come with something
- 1:29Speaker 1: that looks obviously evil. Sometimes he comes with a voice
- 1:33Speaker 1: that sounds reasonable. It's okay, everybody, does it? Just com
- 1:37Speaker 1: fromise this one time. You have every right to get revenge.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Don't forgive them. They don't deserve it. God couldn't possibly
- 1:45Speaker 1: use someone like you. You'll never change, You'll always be
- 1:48Speaker 1: this way. All lies from the enemy, y'all. The enemy
- 1:52Speaker 1: don't have any new tricks. He still tries to get
- 1:54Speaker 1: God's people to question what God has already said. And
- 1:57Speaker 1: sometimes the wrong voice isn't coming from someone else. Sometimes
- 2:02Speaker 1: it's the voice inside your own mind. See, that's why
- 2:06Speaker 1: you got to be careful what you allow to take
- 2:08Speaker 1: root in your heart. You can't stop every thought from
- 2:11Speaker 1: coming to your mind, but you can decide which selce
- 2:14Speaker 1: you choose to entertain and which ones you're gonna reject.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You've got to learn to recognize the voice that is
- 2:20Speaker 1: leading you toward fear, compromise, bitterness, and doubt, and turn
- 2:25Speaker 1: that voice down. When the enemy says you can't forgive,
- 2:29Speaker 1: remember God's word says to forgive. When the enemy says
- 2:32Speaker 1: you're not enough, remember God says you're fearfully and wonderfully made.
- 2:36Speaker 1: When he says you'll never overcome this, remember that you
- 2:39Speaker 1: can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you. When
- 2:42Speaker 1: he says your best days are behind you, remember that
- 2:45Speaker 1: God still has a purpose for your life. So don't
- 2:48Speaker 1: you let the wrong voices become the loudest voices in
- 2:51Speaker 1: your life. The voice you listen to will influence the
- 2:54Speaker 1: choices that you make, and the choices you make will
- 2:56Speaker 1: shape the direction of your life. So today, God your heart,
- 3:00Speaker 1: God your heart, God your mind, God your ears, and
- 3:03Speaker 1: above all, stay anchored in the word of God. When
- 3:06Speaker 1: you know what God has said, you won't be easily
- 3:08Speaker 1: deceived by what the enemy says. The wrong voices may
- 3:11Speaker 1: be loud, but God's voice is greater. Listen to him,
- 3:14Speaker 1: trust him, follow him, and never ever allow the enemy's
- 3:18Speaker 1: lives to talk you out of your destiny that God
- 3:21Speaker 1: already has prepared for you. Father, thank you for giving
- 3:24Speaker 1: us wisdom and deserveman to recognize the voice that it
- 3:28Speaker 1: is not from you. Help us to be careful about
- 3:30Speaker 1: what we listen to and what we allow to take
- 3:32Speaker 1: root in our hearts and minds. God, when the enemy
- 3:35Speaker 1: tries to make us doubt your word, remind us of
- 3:37Speaker 1: what you've already spoken over our lives. Help us to
- 3:40Speaker 1: reject every voice that leads us toward fear, bitterness, compromised discouragement,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and even unbeliefs. Give us the strength to forgive when
- 3:47Speaker 1: we're heard, stand firm when we're tempted, and to trust
- 3:50Speaker 1: you when we don't understand. We declare that we will
- 3:53Speaker 1: not allow the wrong voices to distract us from our
- 3:56Speaker 1: purpose or derail our destiny. Our ears are turned to
- 3:59Speaker 1: your voice, and we acts that you touch our heart's
- 4:02Speaker 1: God today in Jesus' name, that's your word for today.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Take an applied to your everyday life, and you continue
- 4:07Speaker 1: to be encouraged and inspired at your early morning praise party.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I am Sherry macke
