- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Go to your room.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Get under the bed.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Mama needs to get her guns.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Onslaught A24 trailer breakdown.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Adrian Arjona battles super soldiers.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Hey everyone, it's Kilbert K here.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to my channel.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: What happens when a director of Godzilla vs.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Kong stops playing with giant monsters and gives Adria Arjona a chainsaw?
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: You get Onslaught, a wild mix of action, horror, military secrets, and genetically engineered super soldiers who definitely didn't escape the lab to make friends.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: The trailer is fast, bloody strange, and completely unhinged, but underneath all the violence, there may be a powerful story about a mother trying to protect her daughter.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: So is Onslaught Adam Winger's big return to horror?
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Is Adri Arjona about to become our next action star?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: And what is the surprising connection to the guests?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Let's break it all down.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Now grab maybe just a very strong cup of coffee because Onslaught is coming.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: The story, Onslaught, follows Celeste, played by Adri Arjona.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: She's a single mother, a former army sniper, and someone still carrying emotional scars from her military past.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Celeste lives with her young daughter, Daisy, in a trailer park in New Mexico.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: She's trying to live a normal life, but normal disappears when genetically engineered super soldier escape from a secret military facility.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Their orders are simple: kill.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: And once they start, they do not stop.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: The government wants to contain the situation, but Celeste and Daisy are caught directly in the middle of it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Big mistake.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Celeste may be struggling with her past, but she's still a trained sniper.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: If these soldiers want her daughter, she's ready to remind everyone why she was once considered dangerous.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: This is not just another mission, it's personal.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: The super soldiers, these are not normal soldiers.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: They are genetically engineered killing machines.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: The trailer presents them almost like slasher villains.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: They move slowly and confidently.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: They can take a lot of punishment, and no matter what happens, they keep common.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Imagine Jason Voorhees receiving military training.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Now imagine Jason bringing two friends.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: That is Celeste's problem.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: One of the soldiers is called the Butcher, played by UFC fighter Alex Pereira.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: When you hire a professional fighter nicknamed Potin, you play someone called the Butcher.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You're not asking him to deliver a romantic speech in the rain.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: You want him to look dangerous, and he does.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Pereira barely needs to speak.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: His sighs, his face, and the way the trader introduces him tell us everything.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: This man looks like he could punch throughout your front door and complain that the door was too soft.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Just hold on a sack before we continue.

- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I truly appreciate your being part of the show.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Now let's get back to it.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Adria Arjona takes control.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Adria Arjona is clearly the center of this trailer.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Many people know her from Endor, Hitman, and Blink Twice, but Onslaught gives her a very different role.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Celeste is not presented as a perfect action hero.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: She looks tired, angry, frightened, and emotionally damaged.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: People may also believe that she's paranoid.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: She has suspected that something dangerous is happening near her home, but nobody takes her seriously.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Then the super soldiers arrive.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: Suddenly, the woman, everyone doubted, becomes the only person prepared for the truth.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: The trailer shows Celeste using rifles, handguns, close combats, and yes, a chainsaw.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Once the chainsaw appears, the movie officially stops asking for permission.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: That moment tells us Celeste is not going to spend the entire movie running and hiding.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: She's going to fight back with everything she has.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: And these super soldiers may soon learn an important lesson.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Never get between a mother and her child.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: The heart of the movie.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: This could have been a simple movie about sniper fighting monsters, but the relationship between Celeste and Daisy gives the story emotional weight.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Celeste is not trying to save the whole world, she's trying to save her daughter.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Adam Wingard has said that becoming a father influenced the movie.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: After working on Godzilla vs.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Kong, the New Empire, he wanted to tell a story about a parent.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Apparently, his version of a touching family story includes machine guns, super soldiers, and a chainsaw.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Some parents pack school launches, Celeste pack ammunition, but the main question is very simple.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: How far would you go to protect your child?
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: That could make Onslaught more than just a selection, collection of violent action scenes.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: The trailer park, the New Mexico trailer park, is the perfect setting for the story.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: It's isolated and surrounded by open desert.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: You can see danger coming, but there are very few places to hide.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: The homes also feel fragile a genetically.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Engineer Soldier is not going to knock politely and wait for someone to answer.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Help is not five minutes away, and even if the military arrives, can Celeste trust them?
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Because when a secret government experiment goes wrong, the government ready shows up to explain everything and offer free counseling.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: It normally arrives to remove the evidence.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: The bigger conspiracy, the super soldiers, are the physical threat, but the people who created them may be even more dangerous.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: The trailer gives us a quick look at Trebeka Hall and Dan Stevens, but keeps the truth about their characters hidden.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: This is not an accident.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Dan Stevens is specially mysterious, and when a trailer hides, Dan Stevens becomes suspicious.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: He doesn't usually enter a movie, offer everyone tea, and leave without causing problems.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: The trailer makes us wonder if the soldiers really escaped by accident.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: What if this is a test?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: What if the people living near the facility were never supposed to survive?
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: And what if the weapons are not out of control?
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: What if they're doing exactly what they were created to do?
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: The guest connection.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Here's the biggest fun fact about Onslaught.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Adam Wingard had confirmed that the movie takes place in the same word at his 2014 cult thriller, The Guest.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: If you have not watched The Guest, add it to your list.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Dan Stevens played David, a mysterious former soldier who enters the life of a grieving family.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: At first, he's polite, calm, and helpful, then things become much more complicated and much more violent.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Onslaught is not a direct sequel, and Dan Stevens is playing a different character.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: However, his character appears connected to the type of secret military experiments explored in the guest.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Could these super soldiers be newer versions of the program that created David?
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Could Wingard be quietly building his own connected horror world?
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Fans online were already asking why Dan Stevens was kept mostly hidden from the early market.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Some believe Onslaught could secretly be a spiritual sequel to the guest.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I do not expect David to walk into the final scene wearing sunglasses while dramatic music plays.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: But would I enjoy it?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: The history behind the horror, the movie also has a darker idea behind a super soldier story.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Wingard has said the film explores Operation Paperclip, The Real American Program, that brought German scientists to the United States after Second World War.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Onslaught imagines what could happen if their experiment and ideas continued secretly for generations.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Dan Stevens' character was partly inspired by Hans Kammler, a high-ranking massive figure connected to secret weapons program.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Do not worry, I do not think this will become a three-hour history lesson.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: The trader is still selling bullets, blood, and mayhem, but it suggests that something serious may be hiding underneath the action.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: The new force may change and the technology may improve, but dangerous ideas can survive.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Adam Wingard returns to his roots.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: Adam Wingard spent the last few years directing huge movies like Godzilla vs.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: Kong and Godzilla vs.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Kong the New Empire.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Onslaught looks like his return to the smaller, darker movies that first made horror fans notice him.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: You're next and the guest had sharp action, dark humor, sudden violence, and characters who were never exactly what they seemed.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: Onslaught appears to bring that energy back, but with everything Wingard learned from making giant blockbusters, it feels bigger than his earlier horror movies, but more personal than his Godzilla films.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: And according to Wingard, this movie goes further into horror than anything he has directed before.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Translation: Do not take your five-year-old just because they enjoyed Godzilla.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: The cast.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Adria Arjona leads a great cast that includes Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, Drew Starkey, Michael Bean, Erica Wareham, Reginald Valjonson, and Alex Pereira.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Michael Bean is a perfect addition because he has experience fighting unstoppable killing machines in the Terminator and Aliens.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: If Michael Bean tells you that a machine is coming to kill you, believe him.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Do not ask follow-up questions.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: Reginald Valjohnson is also a fun choice.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Many viewers know him from Family Matters, but action fans remember him from Thy Heart.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: The cast connects the Terminator Alien, Thy Heart, The Guest, Godzilla vs.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Kong, Andor, and the UFC.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: It feels like Adam Wingard invited several generations of action and horror movies to the same party and locked the doors.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: My final verdict, based on this trailer, I'm excited for Onslaught.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: The main story is simple: a mother protects her daughter from super soldiers, but a trader suggests something deeper involving PTSD, government secrets, military experiments, and the danger of creating weapons you cannot control.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Adria Arjona looks fully committed.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: She's not playing an untouchable superhero.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: She looks scared, angry, damaged, and ready to survive.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Alex Perrard looks terrifying, and the connection to the guest gives Adam Wingard fans another reason to pay attention.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: My only concern is that the trailer may be showing too many of the biggest action moments.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: I hope the movie is hiding several surprises.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I also hope the relationship between Celeste and Daisy is strong.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: If we care about them, every attack will matter.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Without that emotional connection, the movie could become nothing more than people shooting at monsters for 90 minutes.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: Right now, Onslaught looks like The Terminator.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: The guest and a bloody trailer park survival movie were thrown into Blender.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: And somebody forgot to put Cladid on.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Onslaught arrives in theaters on September 4th, but now I want to know what you think.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Are you excited to see Adria Arjona fight an army of super soldiers?
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Do you think Onslaught will have a bigger connection to the guest?
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And what would you choose against the butcher?
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: A rifle, a chainsaw, or your car key so you can drive in the opposite direction?
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Let me know in the comments below.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: That's all folks.
