  Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin.

  It is a Thursday edition. Can you believe?

  Can you believe? Think about this for just a second.

  We are closing in on the final week of October.

  Holiday season is around the corner. It's crazy how fast 2026 has gone by.

  And for many of us, we are welcoming 2027.

  It has been a difficult year for most of us. I know a lot of you that have been
• 1:00
  on my show or have written to us have expressed the difficulty 2026 has been.

  So I got to thinking, normally I do these episodes at the very end of the year.

  But let's talk about what your year has brought to you.

  Many of you have shared in your displeasure of 2026, the gas prices and all
• 1:21
  these different things that I normally don't like to talk about because they bring you down.
• 1:25
  Everything is up. Cost is up. Everything is up. Yes.
• 1:29
  Even myself, I feel it. I feel it. And in a major way as a podcaster,
• 1:36
  I don't know if that didn't sound right. As a podcaster, let's try it again.

  As a podcaster, as a father, let me tell you, as a pastor in school,
• 1:45
  or I should say a student in school to become a pastor.
• 1:48
  Yeah, all these factors have been huge.
• 1:52
  Tuition's up, books are up, everything's up.
• 1:55
  But you know what I started thinking? And this is the way I live my life.
• 1:59
  And again, this is my opinion. I'm not here to tell any of you how to live. But.

  We have to find the positive guys in the negative you have to because there's
• 2:08
  so much negativity now in the world i mean so much hatred.
• 2:13
  And it feels like any channel you put on my goodness even if you feel like you
• 2:17
  put on like the nickelodeon channel there's some kind of hate there's some kind
• 2:21
  of crime i mean just the other day turning on the channel and hearing about rachel you know,
• 2:28
  the star on YouTube, Rachel,
• 2:31
  even that's controversial. Everything is controversial.
• 2:34
  You can't even go to McDonald's, order yourself a number two special without
• 2:40
  losing out on the fact that they only give you one barbecue sauce and they charge you for more.
• 2:44
  I mean, it's, listen, we can go on and on, but you know, I'm going to turn this
• 2:49
  around, right? You know, I'm going to make this spiritual.
• 2:52
  You know, I'm going to make this motivational.
• 2:54
  God died for us. Jesus Christ died on the cross for us.
• 2:58
  He saved us and he loves us.
• 3:03
  The tide is gonna turn and it will be in our favor.
• 3:08
  I'm not talking about elections. I'm not talking about anything other than the
• 3:11
  love that Jesus Christ has for you.
• 3:14
  You know, just this morning, I went to Dunkin' Donuts and I pulled in and I
• 3:18
  spoke with one of the young ladies who yesterday clearly was upset.
• 3:21
  People were calling out of work and they had to close the kitchen down so much
• 3:26
  because they could not have enough manpower to run the kitchen,
• 3:29
  but they had enough manpower to do donuts and coffee.
• 3:32
  What's happening in the world today? Nobody wants to work.
• 3:36
  And here's a manager, clearly shook up, and I stopped by this morning on the
• 3:41
  drive-thru, and I stopped for a second, and I just reached out my hand,
• 3:45
  and I told her that I appreciate you,
• 3:47
  that I appreciate that you're there every morning to get me a cup of coffee,
• 3:51
  to get my day jump-started.
• 3:53
  And she teared up because she said it was nice to hear a compliment.
• 3:57
  We need to compliment each other. We need to show compassion to one another.
• 4:02
  We need to have patience with one another because many of us are struggling,
• 4:07
  trust and believe yes I am a very very happy go lucky guy I come on the air
• 4:12
  and I come across extremely happy which I am most of the time.
• 4:17
  But there are times when I'm not so happy I'm not saying I fake it but there
• 4:22
  are times when I come on the air and I say wait a minute how am I going to give
• 4:26
  the best of my ability here on the show.
• 4:28
  And I don't. I tell you what's happening.
• 4:31
  I share with you my frustrations. I share with you my struggles.
• 4:35
  I share with you my early nuances of depression again.
• 4:39
  I've shared with you music, songs that I've tried to write to express how I
• 4:43
  feel, the heartache that I go through, the constant non-understanding of where
• 4:49
  I'm going to be in a year or two from now.
• 4:52
  But the one thing that has never changed and never will is the amount of love
• 4:58
  and respect that Jesus Christ has for me and for you.
• 5:02
  And even though I know that things can get rough and I know that we feel like
• 5:05
  we're backed up in a corner, I have to believe, and I do believe,
• 5:09
  without a shadow of a doubt, we're not doing it alone.
• 5:13
  Yes, I understand you're thinking and the naysayers out there,
• 5:16
  well, if he's there with us, why can't he just snap his fingers and make things all better?
• 5:21
  I understand. in. I get the frustration, but they wouldn't call it faith.
• 5:26
  If you didn't have any, you have to believe and trust in God.
• 5:29
  He'll see it through and we will be fine.
• 5:34
  So let's close out with a prayer. Let us lift each other up because a day without
• 5:40
  prayer is a day without power.
• 5:42
  Heavenly father, we thank you for all that you do.
• 5:46
  We thank you for coming together with us and allowing us to break bread with
• 5:51
  each other, to listen to the word together, and most importantly,
• 5:56
  for allowing us the ability to trust in you and have faith in you.
• 6:00
  We know that you can and will do everything in your power to make this world
• 6:04
  a better place with our guidance, with our understanding that you are with us.
• 6:11
  We pray this unto you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  In Jesus' name we pray, amen. So may God be with you. may he shine his light
• 6:19
  upon you and grant you peace on earth.
