- 0:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It is titled, um, not only is it episode 352, uh, but we are actually gonna dub this particular episode AX and Sophia Waters.
- 1:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So uh I'm gonna let our guest uh get ready, set, go.
- 1:16David Solomon: And thank you, Justin.
- 1:18David Solomon: Uh so you guys all know me as David Solomon.
- 1:23David Solomon: And uh today I wanted to go over some really interesting facts because it's it's the anniversary of uh of when I became a Christian fantasy author.
- 1:41David Solomon: So I thought it was appropriate to uh to go over this.
- 1:49David Solomon: So um many of you know that I survived human trafficking at the hands of Bryan Davis and other individuals, allegedly, for purposes saying that.
- 2:12David Solomon: And here's the deal.
- 2:16David Solomon: In 2011, on this day, I wrote a story called AX, because God told me to do it.
- 2:31David Solomon: And I was going to a youth group at the time in Oregon City, and Bryan Davis called my youth pastor up and had a five-hour conversation about my well-being, and uh, and then everything changed in my church.
- 3:03David Solomon: Well, I wrote this, and um the next day, Bryan Davis just happened to be in our town, so my mom and I visited him and tried to figure out why he had a five-hour conversation with my youth pastor.
- 3:30David Solomon: So AX is a Christian fantasy story about Saul who became Paul only.
- 3:48David Solomon: Saul was a vampire in this fantasy world modern day, which is a soul sucker.
- 3:57David Solomon: He sucks souls or a soul taker, and then he became a soul saver, so then he saves souls.
- 4:07David Solomon: And AX was a parallel to the Bible, like veggie toes for a supernatural crowd.
- 4:16David Solomon: When I met Bryan in 2011, on October the 26th at 5.30 p.m.
- 4:31David Solomon: We also discussed another idea, and that was Sophia Waters, because he, for some odd reason, was fascinated with what I was writing these days.
- 4:47David Solomon: Because I used to write for him, literally.
- 4:52David Solomon: So Susie, his wife, sat down with me, and um she loved the idea of Sophia Waters being this girl who uses her sirene voice to open portals, and it's tied to the Tower of Babel.
- 5:27David Solomon: And Bryan loved it too.
- 5:29David Solomon: In fact, Bryan and I brainstormed a book idea called Superheroes Wanted by James Art Ville and Bryan Davis.
- 5:40David Solomon: We'll get to that in a moment.
- 5:41David Solomon: So Bryan picked my brain because I wrote for him before, and my mom didn't appreciate him reaching out to my youth pastor.
- 5:51David Solomon: Um, that would be an understatement.
- 5:55David Solomon: And um he said, So, what are your ideas for a superhero book, David?
- 6:04David Solomon: Now, at the time, I wasn't known as David, I was known as Jeremiah.
- 6:12David Solomon: To confuse you, my mom, because of my talent as a prodigy, hid my real name from people.
- 6:24David Solomon: And then I had a dad who blew up our home who was in and out of prison, and so my mom was terrified of him for good reason.
- 6:35David Solomon: She stuck the living, he stuck the living heck out of her.
- 6:39David Solomon: So I was known as Jeremiah Paul Song.
- 6:44David Solomon: And Bryan knew me as Jeremiah, not David or Solomon, if you will.
- 6:59David Solomon: I remember that day, almost like it was yesterday.
- 7:13David Solomon: It was very scary.
- 7:16David Solomon: Where Bryan um he wanted to know my ideas, and my mom said, Well, why did you talk to his youth pastor?
- 7:34David Solomon: And Bryan goes, I was just checking in on him, and she goes, There's no need, everything's fine.
- 7:40David Solomon: What are you doing here?
- 7:41David Solomon: And he goes, You moved, you didn't tell me.
- 7:45David Solomon: So I get that.
- 7:51David Solomon: My best friend, who also uh was like me and very talented, autistic, um has tret, if you will, they uh they also, if you will, were manipulated by Mr.
- 8:18David Solomon: Davis in many ways.
- 8:20David Solomon: And when we started talking about books, when we started talking about me doing his books and him wanting my mom to uh screenplay one of his books, and my mom said, It's creepy that you contacted his youth pastor after we left a situation, and we did, very intense situation, and uh we moved to Oregon City because of it, and you know it wasn't okay, so he got me outside and we talked for about three hours, maybe two, about ideas.
- 9:17David Solomon: He wanted to pick my brain.
- 9:20David Solomon: I was autistic and naive.
- 9:22David Solomon: My mom talked to Susie and Amanda, not to be confused with my wife, Amanda Davis, who at the time was on tour with her father because she came out with a dystopian book, um, which actually, honestly, people is very good and doesn't have all this crap in it, so you should read it.
- 9:46David Solomon: Um, it's under Amanda L.
- 9:48David Solomon: Davis, if anybody ever wants to pick it up.
- 9:51David Solomon: Um, but nevertheless, it was really hard that day after he talked to me for those hours, because then he wanted to meet me again the next day, and my mom found it creepy, but we did it anyway, and this was in Newburgh this time, and I had a friend that went to the Newburgh school there, and so we met up as a family and we talked to Bryan for four hours, maybe five, and he just picked my brain about all my writing, and uh we actually created with his daughter uh Starlighter, which technically was created a little bit before, but then he started putting everything together to make everything fit in the narrative, and at that point it was uh third Starlighter that we were plotting, and then he wanted to do the superhero series and then the children of the bard.
- 11:16David Solomon: I was doing Legos for him.
- 11:19David Solomon: You can look it up of Dragons in Our Midst because I'm really good at what I do, and it was his words.
- 11:31David Solomon: So then Sophia Waters he said that would be a really cool story, and you know, it could fit in well with dragons in our midst, the story world, and pretty soon Bryan messaged me on uh on Facebook and started pursuing the idea of uh these Chinese dragons.
- 11:58David Solomon: Um there were purple dragons.
- 12:03David Solomon: There was a folklore that he was obsessed with that I posted on mythical creatures after I was trafficked.
- 12:11David Solomon: Now we'll fast forward that he kept private messaging me about.
- 12:16David Solomon: He wanted to know information on it.
- 12:19David Solomon: It's a purple dragon folklore, and he and I went back and forth, even after trafficking me, he would not leave me alone, and then he kept asking me about Sophia Waters, and this idea actually works, and that idea doesn't, and um it was a whole mess, and after being trafficked, I was even more of a mess.
- 12:49David Solomon: My mom, you had to understand, my mom was helping him write a screenplay based on Starlighter, which I have, by the way, Mr.
- 13:00David Solomon: Davis, if you're listening, the original documents for that screenplay, if you would like to see them.
- 13:08David Solomon: Oh, and they are notarized by my mom.
- 13:16David Solomon: To you.
- 13:20David Solomon: The name of that story is called Blood Brothers, based on Masters and Slayers and Starlighter, and it's about Jason Masters and Adrian, and they're two brothers.
- 13:36David Solomon: And the story is about how this girl has gone missing because dragons are taking girls, right?
- 13:44David Solomon: And they're enslaving them and breeding them on another planet, but that's folklore and legend.
- 13:51David Solomon: And Adrian's brother Frederick has also gone missing trying to find these girls.
- 13:57David Solomon: Isn't this like sounding familiar, people?
- 13:59David Solomon: So um they're taken to the cattle camp, which is where these dragons, for all tents and purposes, sex traffic these children.
- 14:12David Solomon: A cattle camp that a boy gets away from.
- 14:20David Solomon: I'll let your mind wonder.
- 14:25David Solomon: So this story is about human trafficking, and before I was trafficked, my mom was a big supporter of making people aware.
- 14:44David Solomon: So we did a cartoon screenplay for Mr.
- 14:46David Solomon: Bryan Davis with three months to live for her.
- 14:54David Solomon: Okay.
- 14:57David Solomon: So then I got trafficked, and we know that part.
- 15:05David Solomon: It boggles the mind.
- 15:09David Solomon: Why after that, Bryan did not let go and was obsessed with mythical creatures around the world and kept private messaging.
- 15:23David Solomon: I have those messages, by the way, Mr.
- 15:25David Solomon: Davis.
- 15:26David Solomon: I really do.
- 15:28David Solomon: And my Facebook got hacked through that too.
- 15:32David Solomon: My old Facebook, Solomon O Stone, which is why I have AX up there.
- 15:36David Solomon: Um, AX was going to be published.
- 15:42David Solomon: Bryan stood in the way of it being published, and that was when the car accidents started in Oregon City for two years.
- 15:52David Solomon: They would start.
- 15:53David Solomon: Um after that, I started doing my own thing with mythical and distancing myself from people like Bryan, who kept hurting me and my mom and other people.
- 16:24David Solomon: I looked up to Bryan Davis as a mentor and a father figure, and I was groomed since the age of eleven, in his words, because he met me at eleven, because I was a prodigy, and it is the biggest mistake I made letting that man get close to me or my mom.
- 17:05David Solomon: Big mistake.
- 17:10David Solomon: That's why I wrote the film Sound of Freedom.
- 17:17David Solomon: It's why he wrote the film Center Soul.
- 17:25David Solomon: I'm not here to wage war on Bryan or Scott or Realm or anyone.
- 17:45David Solomon: I just want people held accountable for what they did in the Christian world, which makes it worse.
- 17:53David Solomon: And I'm gonna resurrect the story, and I'm also gonna resurrect that screenplay for Starlighter, and I'm gonna put it out that my mom was forced to write that for Bryan And Sound of Freedom.
- 18:28David Solomon: That was our baby that was that was mom and me and a few other people.
- 18:46David Solomon: It's just so sad that we're here in this moment.
- 18:56David Solomon: Someone that loves God and yet can be so dark and cruel and hates his children, God's children.
- 19:20David Solomon: Here's a man who writes about dragons in our midst.
- 19:28David Solomon: You know, book one was amazing, book two was really good, book three, book four.
- 19:48David Solomon: I truly believe that God chose this man to write.
- 19:53David Solomon: But then I think greed and power, and I stand by that, came to Bryan somewhere in there.
- 20:04David Solomon: He changed.
- 20:06David Solomon: You know, I pray for Bryan all my life, actually.
- 20:16David Solomon: Every day I get up and I pray for Bryan Davis.
- 20:20David Solomon: So funny.
- 20:22David Solomon: I pray for my trafficker.
- 20:24David Solomon: I'm such an evil person.
- 20:26David Solomon: But I don't pray because I want to be around him.
- 20:34David Solomon: I pray that he A turns himself in, B, repents, and C gets caught somehow.
- 20:48David Solomon: But I do pray for his family.
- 20:55David Solomon: But I do not pray that he dies.
- 21:02David Solomon: I don't think he can say the same.
- 21:08David Solomon: I've been called every name in the book today.
- 21:15David Solomon: I even had someone stab me with a knife today.
- 21:25David Solomon: I'm fine.
- 21:27David Solomon: I'll get over it.
- 21:29David Solomon: It was a little wound, but still happened.
- 21:34David Solomon: It was a scary moment.
- 21:39David Solomon: People with all this hate.
- 21:42David Solomon: This is the America we live in.
- 21:47David Solomon: We let monsters like this, dragons like this roam free.
- 21:51David Solomon: This man should have been locked up fourteen years ago when he talks about talking to minor children about sex porn and cutting behind their parents' backs on the harvest interview.
- 22:08David Solomon: We would not be here today.
- 22:11David Solomon: I would not have gotten taken.
- 22:15David Solomon: The other children would not have gotten taken.
- 22:19David Solomon: So that's the story of AX and Sophia Waters.
- 22:29David Solomon: He wanted those stories for himself, and he wanted me to make the uh uh Children of the Bard, uh Sila and Joran, um from uh Children of the Bard.
- 22:51David Solomon: It was chapter one, it was every other chapter they would have a chapter.
- 22:56David Solomon: So there's Bonnie in the prologue, and then we flash back to the uh second Eden, and it would be their story, and then it would be Bonnie's story, and then it would be uh present, which is Matt and Lauren, the children of Billy and Bonnie, which is how we wrote it.
- 23:18David Solomon: Now that sequence continued in book two a little bit, but it triggered a uh a new character, and he brought Joan of Arc in uh book two towards the end, along with the prostitute for book three.
- 23:40David Solomon: He brought everything in.
- 23:42David Solomon: So my point is me and my mom were really working for him, and I became a better Christian writer because I learned from him, but I did not let that define who I am today.
- 24:00David Solomon: So let me be hated for setting the standard on what true Christian fantasy should be, and that is something like mythical creatures around the world where a seven-year-old or an eight-year-old can pick up a book and not worry about little girls being raped by dragons in a kid's book, nevertheless.
- 24:27David Solomon: I mean, it just boggles the mind how we get here.
- 24:39David Solomon: And we say, Oh, it's fantasy until that fantasy becomes a reality.
- 24:48David Solomon: And that that reality happened to me, literally.
- 24:54David Solomon: So AX, I will be resurrecting, because it's a worthy story to be told that could save someone's life and lead them to Christ.
- 25:09David Solomon: And Sophia Waters, I will also be resurrecting because that's a worthy story too.
- 25:24David Solomon: But it breaks my heart that that Bryan, out of all people, just will not let this go.
- 25:35David Solomon: You know, Bryan has talked to everybody but me now, literally.
- 25:45David Solomon: Targeted everybody but me now.
- 25:48David Solomon: He's literally had everybody else harass me.
- 25:53David Solomon: But he won't actually be not a coward and actually have a conversation to me.
- 26:08David Solomon: He has to do it in the shadows or have other people do it.
- 26:14David Solomon: And today was the last straw.
- 26:21David Solomon: AX is the story that uh my mom was very fond of.
- 26:33David Solomon: It's a redemption story about a vampire who changes and doesn't become a vampire anymore.
- 26:44David Solomon: God changes him.
- 26:46David Solomon: It's a very powerful and profound story.
- 26:50David Solomon: So that's the story of Sophia Waters and Axe.
- 27:02David Solomon: It's painful to imagine that was twelve years ago.
- 27:11David Solomon: And here we are.
- 27:16David Solomon: Now and now, you know, we're doing sacred scales and dragons of camelot.
- 27:30David Solomon: We haven't learned our lesson.
- 27:33David Solomon: You know, in the new book we describe um a minor child not wearing undergarments.
- 27:45David Solomon: It's kind of a weird detail.
- 27:51David Solomon: The character looked under the girl.
- 27:58David Solomon: Curious.
- 28:04David Solomon: So that's for ages what, eight and up, I think.
- 28:08David Solomon: Or seven and up one or the other.
- 28:13David Solomon: It's a little innuendos like that that really piss me off.
- 28:22David Solomon: You know, I'm at all.
- 28:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, thanks for sharing.
- 28:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know it's deeply um just transparent into your heart and your soul.
- 28:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and before we end uh this particular episode, uh, we want to thank our guests, uh David uh Salman, for coming forward for being a voice, not just for himself, but so many others.
- 29:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Regardless of all the hate, regardless of everything.
- 29:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We experienced that as well.
- 29:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Voices for voices.
- 29:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have people that intervene, people that uh I don't know.
- 29:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, so I want to give a I want to give a big shout out uh to all the Rockstar attorneys and lawyers out there.
- 29:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know it's not an easy uh it's not an easy profession.
- 29:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh a lot of emotions can uh come uh come up through that line of work, so I wanna give the shout out.
- 29:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: To those rockstar attorneys who are following the law, who are listening to their clients, not going behind the backs of their clients, not reaching out to individuals or individual on the opposing side.
- 30:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so we're not giving a shout out to those people.
- 30:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Those people, in our estimation, and good faith, are not attorneys.
- 30:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They have no business anywhere near a legal document, a courtroom, a deposition room, none whatsoever.
- 30:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so wanted to take this opportunity again to say thank you to all the rock star attorneys who day in, day out deal with just some just tough topics, tough experiences, and uh that can definitely eat into uh kind of that personal life of those uh those rock star attorneys.
- 31:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um want to say thank you for those rock star attorneys because uh it is uh people like you who keep the uh the American justice system, uh the the wheels of justice uh turning, and we want to say thank you.
- 31:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And however we want to uh be sure to um if you're experiencing any type of uh activity from an attorney that you have or somebody that you know has, don't be don't be shy about it.
- 32:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Gonna come on our show, you have a voice just like just like I do, just like David does, just like our our other guests do.
- 32:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so let us know because we want a world where people are held accountable, and that includes people posing like attorneys, posing like they are representing you, or I hypothetically, and they're really not, they are doing shady business just to call it um just to keep it just to keep it uh you know children uh appropriate.
- 33:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we do pray for those attorneys who may, after watching and listening to this episode or any of the other 351 episodes in our catalog, that the your heart does change, that you actually want to uphold the rule of law, that you really want to represent your clients and not the opposing side, that you want to represent and do what your clients want, not spending hours on the phone with individuals that have no business having conversations with with uh with an attorney.
- 34:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, and and so for those, we we pray for you.
- 34:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We hope that uh that again we're all sinners.
- 34:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we pray for ourselves and we pray for you if you are one of those attorneys.
- 34:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We would pray for all attorneys, but especially those that uh are making decisions outside the purview of what they should be doing, and especially that attorney client privilege.
- 34:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's that that's one of the hallmarks that we're you know, we we're supposed to be able to put our hat on, um uh hang our hat on.
- 35:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And and so don't be afraid to reach out to your your bar association and report those attorneys.
- 35:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thanks, David Solomon, for this episode.
- 35:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Please be a voice for you or somebody in need, and celebrate all the voices and all of us.
- 35:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you next time.
