• 0:00
and laced up let's go it's time for banter with
• 0:04
the boys Welcome back to Banter with the Boys.
• 0:16
Gridiron updates our week 10 tent talk, if you
• 0:20
will. Tent talk. There it is. Skol, by the way.
• 0:24
We've got to work on that. If you were on YouTube,
• 0:28
I'm sorry. Rob and Dan are working on it. We're
• 0:33
working on it. Our dance coach has got us working
• 0:35
overtime. They're going to work overtime with
• 0:37
the choreographer after this one. Rob. You're
• 0:41
here again. Yes. Just like the last episode.
• 0:43
Excited. And guess what? You're going to be here
• 0:45
the next episode. This is. I'm excited for the
• 0:46
news and injuries coming up so I can get ready
• 0:49
for my fantasy team. There it is. Dan, welcome
• 0:52
back for another episode. Glad to be here. Wouldn't
• 0:55
want to be anywhere else. Where would you rather
• 0:57
be? Not anywhere else but Banterwood Boys. I
• 1:00
thought he started thinking about it for a second.
• 1:01
Like, dude, just get out of here. Kev, obviously
• 1:05
getting everything done for us behind the camera.
• 1:08
Yes, let's get into the injuries. Let's start
• 1:11
off with the Washington Commanders. What a horrible
• 1:14
week for them. Dislocated elbow for Jaden Daniels.
• 1:18
He was ruled out indefinitely. If you did not
• 1:21
see a video of it, if you do not have a weak
• 1:23
stomach, go check it out. Yeah. Not cool. Why
• 1:26
are we playing our starting quarterback down
• 1:28
40? Well, and some people have said that, too,
• 1:31
you know. That's definitely. That's definitely
• 1:35
a topic of discussion. For me, I'm 50 -50 on
• 1:38
it, right? Yeah, I was kind of 50 -50, actually.
• 1:40
I see it, but the 50 % that I'm for having him
• 1:43
out there is like, well, whatever you've done
• 1:45
this game hasn't worked, so no time like the
• 1:47
present to figure it out, right? Like, that's
• 1:49
me. And then something like this happens, and
• 1:52
I get it. So it just sucks to see another commander's
• 1:56
injury, Marshawn Lattimore. The corner is believed
• 1:58
to have suffered a torn ACL. Done for the season.
• 2:01
Luke McCaffrey. Broke his collarbone. On the
• 2:05
opening kickoff. Oh, man. He's done for the season.
• 2:08
And they're already thin on receiver. So, Commander's
• 2:10
taking some L's there. Mike. Oh, man. I don't
• 2:14
know how to pronounce his last name. DN for the
• 2:17
Buffalo Bills. Michael. Is it just Hecht? Hecht?
• 2:21
Hoyt? Carry the one. You're in. Let me just move
• 2:24
the. Okay. He tore his Achilles week nine, ending
• 2:27
his season. Let's see. And Samalo was back, but
• 2:33
now he's the guard for the Steelers, but then
• 2:36
he has now sustained a pectoral injury in their
• 2:39
Week 9 win and did not end up returning. Tucker
• 2:43
Craft, we mentioned him in the preview, or I'm
• 2:45
sorry, in our Week 9 recap episode, if you missed
• 2:50
that. We talked about Tucker's impact on the
• 2:52
Green Bay Packers there, but they will miss him
• 2:55
probably for the rest of the season at this point.
• 2:57
Yeah, that sucks. Let's see. That sucks. Dayo
• 3:03
Odenabo. Did I say that right? Dayo Odenabo.
• 3:05
Odenabo. Dang. I'm slaughtered. D for effort.
• 3:08
Say it again. Dayo Odenabo. Odenabo. All right.
• 3:12
I'll never say that wrong again. Dayo Odenabo.
• 3:14
D -line Chicago Bears. He suffered an Achilles
• 3:17
injury as well as expected to miss the rest of
• 3:20
the season. CJ Stroud. Rob mentioned again in
• 3:26
our recap episode. He is concussed and has gone
• 3:29
into concussion protocol. We will see. His status
• 3:32
right now for Week 10 is uncertain. Probably
• 3:34
not playing. Did that David Mills? Yeah, Davis.
• 3:38
Davis Mills. Jawan Taylor, right tackle for the
• 3:42
Chiefs. Suffered an ankle injury during Week
• 3:44
  9. He's expected to miss some time. That's all
• 3:46
I got right now on that. Not looking good. Ernest
• 3:49
Jones, linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks. Sustained
• 3:51
an ankle injury and is also expected. to be sidelined
• 3:54
for a length of time. That'll hurt. That defense
• 3:57
is on fire right now. Oh, for sure. That team.
• 4:01
I mean, look out. Any other injuries that you
• 4:06
can think of? Ardarius Washington, Baltimore
• 4:08
safety, Torres Achilles. Ah, man. Man, a lot
• 4:12
of Achilles this week. It sucks. That kind of
• 4:14
happened last week, too. There was a length of
• 4:15
a couple weeks where there was a bunch of Achilles
• 4:18
all of a sudden. And then, of course, FedEx Field.
• 4:23
Is it still called FedEx Field currently? I believe
• 4:25
they delivered. You know, taking another casualty.
• 4:27
You know, just all the injuries on that field
• 4:29
is just astonishing of top -level players. Let's
• 4:34
get into some of the news. Most and all of the
• 4:37
news is going to be trade -related. Lots of trades.
• 4:42
The biggest one that came out today obviously
• 4:43
got to be Sauce Gardner, right? Yes, sir. You
• 4:47
know, going to the Colts for a 2026 and 2027
• 4:50
first round pick and receiver Adoni Mitchell.
• 4:55
Yeah, Mike loves that guy. Our Colts fan. He
• 4:59
was a big fan preseason of Mitchell. I wonder
• 5:02
how he's going to feel about sauce. Well, I bet
• 5:04
you sitting at 7 '2", you're going to take sauce
• 5:06
all day right now. I would think so. And I wanted
• 5:09
him here in Minnesota, you know. Maybe last -minute
• 5:11
deal, try to figure it out. But two firsts. Yeah,
• 5:14
that's a lot. Get it done. Get it done. I think
• 5:18
PFF has him like the 22nd ranked. cornerback
• 5:21
right now let's get a change of scenery now you're
• 5:23
  now you're now you're in a winning room it's
• 5:25
going to be a it's going to be different discussions
• 5:27
different energy than what's going on right now
• 5:29
in the new york jets organization i'd imagine
• 5:31
so yeah that could up once play nearly instantly
• 5:35
yes if you're already fairly elite you know i
• 5:39
mean now i have four first round picks in this
• 5:41
next draft that's that's crazy so much you can
• 5:44
work with uh aaron glenn's going the detroit
• 5:49
lions route Trying to get all those first round
• 5:51
picks, all that draft capital. They're loaded.
• 5:53
He had when Holmes, Brad Holmes. And he also
• 5:57
just picked up. When he was at Detroit. He also
• 5:59
just picked up a second round pick by training
• 6:01
Quinn and William. Yeah. You want to hear their
• 6:02
draft picks? To the Cowboys. Here they are. Yes,
• 6:05
please. 26. They got two firsts. And two seconds,
• 6:09
27, three firsts. Okay, never mind. And a second.
• 6:13
But they could trade one of those 27. They could.
• 6:15
To get into 26 if they wanted to. They could
• 6:18
do whatever they wanted to do. You know, they
• 6:20
got a lot of. Five first rounders in the next
• 6:22
two years. Yeah, they got a lot of draft capital
• 6:24
that they can play around with. Will be interesting
• 6:26
to watch. Logan Wilson, linebacker for the Bengals.
• 6:31
traded to Dallas. So another day, you know, Dallas
• 6:33
picking up another piece, trying to do something
• 6:36
with their season. You know what I mean? Not
• 6:39
giving up by any means. So if you're a Dallas
• 6:40
fan, I'm at least feeling pretty good that you're
• 6:43
not just rolling over right now after, you know,
• 6:45
a couple tough games. Jermont Jones, edge rusher,
• 6:49
traded to the Bills from the Titans for just
• 6:52
a fifth round pick. So Ravens just trying to
• 6:55
help bolster that defense. Roger McCreary, corner.
• 7:01
Also leaving the Titans to the Rams. That was
• 7:04
like a week ago. Yeah, that was just a smaller
• 7:06
deal. What else happened today? Jacoby Myers.
• 7:09
Jacoby Myers. Jacoby Myers to the Jaguars. And
• 7:14
then you had Rashid. Went to the Seattle Seahawks.
• 7:21
So they're picking up. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
• 7:25
For a fourth and a fifth rounder. Kind of like
• 7:28
that move to the Seahawks. And the Eagles made
• 7:29
a couple moves, too. He's probably going to return
• 7:31
pawns, return kicks for them. One of those. Low
• 7:35
-key gadget players kind of need to do it all.
• 7:37
Jalen Phillips from the Dolphins and then Alexander
• 7:40
from the Ravens went over to the Eagles. Yeah,
• 7:44
he wasn't doing super hot with the Ravens. He's
• 7:46
more of a name right now than he is. And allegedly
• 7:48
kind of a locker room cancer. People say, you
• 7:50
know, those rumors are out there. Maybe it's
• 7:53
because I have a lot of Vikes fans around me
• 7:55
and everybody talked crap on Jair for so long.
• 7:57
Well, if he's been on four or five teams the
• 8:00
past two years. I don't know. You know what I
• 8:02
mean? If even. I can see where he's coming from.
• 8:06
Yeah, Jalen Phillips is interesting. I'm curious
• 8:08
how Philly's going to use him. Curious if he
• 8:11
can kind of have a little rejuvenation. Yeah,
• 8:13
they were missing a little edge. They even brought
• 8:16
Brandon Graham back a couple weeks ago, too,
• 8:18
looking for somebody to get around the edge.
• 8:21
So obviously they're identifying that as an issue
• 8:23
currently with that defense right now. So I think
• 8:27
that's a great pickup for them. Yeah. So for
• 8:30
them fantasy people out there. If they lost Jaden
• 8:34
Daniels, who's it going to be right now? Who's
• 8:38
the commanders? I mean, I don't even know if
• 8:40
I'd go with Marcus Mariota. Mariota? Right now,
• 8:44
if you had the option, are you picking up Mariota
• 8:45
or Jacoby Bursette? Bursette, for sure. Yeah,
• 8:49
way before that. Yeah, Mariota is not even in
• 8:53
the top 20, I think, in fantasy. He just doesn't
• 8:55
produce enough. yardage and then capability as
• 8:59
a passing. His ceiling is like two touchdowns
• 9:02
a week almost, it feels like, especially with
• 9:04
Terry McLaren dealing with the injuries constantly.
• 9:09
He's dealing with the calf. Now you were talking
• 9:11
about McCaffrey, too, out for the season, too.
• 9:13
They're just starting to get super thin on that.
• 9:15
That whole team is beat up, so I don't expect
• 9:18
much out of the commanders the rest of the season.
• 9:20
You taking Jacoby Brissett over Davis Mills?
• 9:23
For the Texans? Yeah. They just got more. I mean,
• 9:26
McBride and Harrison. No, for sure. And he looked
• 9:29
good last night. Yeah, they did. He looked good
• 9:31
last night. Clint's a fantasy one for me. There
• 9:33
you go. There you go. Any other real quick fantasy
• 9:36
tidbits you want to let the people know? Nothing
• 9:40
crazy. Just draft better next year. That's all
• 9:44
I got for you, dude. There it is. That's our
• 9:45
fantasy five seconds. Draft better next year.
• 9:49
You got it. You heard it here first. Banter with
• 9:52
the boys, Gridiron Updates. But, Dan, thanks
