- 1:28Speaker 4: along with us as we go through the Word. So
- 1:31Speaker 4: that better yet, read ahead. You know you can tell
- 1:36Speaker 4: where we're gonna be every day by where we left
- 1:40Speaker 4: off from the previous episode. So just read ahead and
- 1:44Speaker 4: just get the revelation to allow the Lord and the
- 1:48Speaker 4: Word of God to saturate your heart. And then it
- 1:51Speaker 4: will be even better when we come together and go
- 1:54Speaker 4: over it together as well. So but today we're going
- 1:58Speaker 4: to be in Jeremiah chapter thirteen. We're going to start
- 2:04Speaker 4: a whole new chapter today, which is always exciting to
- 2:07Speaker 4: me that the Lord allows us to travel through the
- 2:11Speaker 4: Word of God together and verse by verse and chapter
- 2:15Speaker 4: by chapter and we can just get the rich revelation
- 2:19Speaker 4: straight from his heart and his mind and his word.

- 2:27Speaker 4: And so that's why I love doing it that way.
- 2:31Speaker 4: And if you want to get all you can out
- 2:33Speaker 4: of the podcast, we invite you to join us in
- 2:36Speaker 4: the life chat. That's where we hold each other accountable.
- 2:39Speaker 4: That's where we pray for one another. That's where we
- 2:42Speaker 4: encourage each other. Iron sharpens iron. This is more than
- 2:46Speaker 4: just a regular podcast. This is a fellowship, a brotherhood,
- 2:52Speaker 4: a belonging. And we believe that the path to life
- 2:57Speaker 4: is a narrow road. We believe that because Jesus himself
- 3:02Speaker 4: said it. He said that the broad road is the
- 3:06Speaker 4: road that leads to destruction. And many are those who
- 3:11Speaker 4: travel on that road. And so on this podcast, we
- 3:14Speaker 4: are trying to get as many off that road as
- 3:17Speaker 4: possible and narrow is the road that leads to life,
- 3:23Speaker 4: and there are a few that find it. But we
- 3:29Speaker 4: don't have to be alone. We can fellowship with each other,
- 3:32Speaker 4: we can encourage each other, and so that's what we
- 3:36Speaker 4: do in a life chat. We encourage you to download
- 3:40Speaker 4: that His Hour radio app Hishop on all platforms, and
- 3:45Speaker 4: once you download it, go ahead and click the top
- 3:49Speaker 4: left menu and hit the drop down and all you
- 3:53Speaker 4: have to do is type in your username, email address,
- 3:56Speaker 4: and password. Very simple, very easy, only takes a few seconds,
- 4:01Speaker 4: and get registered. And once you log in, we want
- 4:04Speaker 4: to say welcome to the family, and we definitely want

- 4:27Speaker 4: let's go ahead and prayer. Emily. Father, we thank you
- 4:30Speaker 4: for this platform. We thank you for another opportunity to
- 4:34Speaker 4: be able to reach people, Father Guy, that we probably
- 4:38Speaker 4: wouldn't have been able to reach. Lord, we think you
- 4:40Speaker 4: that this podcast is in Japan, is in Europe. It's
- 4:44Speaker 4: all over the world. It's on different continents. We thank you,
- 4:48Speaker 4: O God. For every person who downloads it. We pray,
- 4:53Speaker 4: Father God, let it be a blessing to the hearer.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Let it deliver, let it set free, O God. Oh Lord,
- 4:59Speaker 4: let this be the year you believe. Right here, O God,
- 5:02Speaker 4: on this podcast. For everyone who listens and participates, we
- 5:06Speaker 4: thank you, Lord for your heart to deliver us and
- 5:09Speaker 4: to heal us and to set us free. We pray
- 5:12Speaker 4: for the God that you bless us podcasts as it
- 5:14Speaker 4: goes out to every year in Jesus' name. Hey man,
- 5:20Speaker 4: all right, y'all, all right, well, let's uh not delay,
- 5:25Speaker 4: but let's get into it now. In chapter twelve, we're
- 5:29Speaker 4: still looking at the destruction of Judah. We still we
- 5:35Speaker 4: see the heart of God. Where even though he said
- 5:38Speaker 4: that he was going to take them out of the land,
- 5:40Speaker 4: even though he said that he was gonna call the
- 5:43Speaker 4: wild beast to come and devour the inhabitants, even though
- 5:48Speaker 4: his anger was kindled and his judgment was unavoidable, at
- 5:54Speaker 4: this point, he turns around and he says that he
- 5:57Speaker 4: was going to have mercy. He said that he was
- 6:00Speaker 4: going to bring them back into the land, and even
- 6:04Speaker 4: the inhabitants around them. He's told, He said that if
- 6:07Speaker 4: they were to observe his commandments and walking his way,
- 6:13Speaker 4: that they would be established. That there's a blessing for us.
- 6:16Speaker 4: And we could, you know, be encouraged in those scriptures
- 6:22Speaker 4: to know that God is a merciful god. He doesn't
- 6:26Speaker 4: want to judge. Judgment is not his first reaction. He
- 6:31Speaker 4: wants us to repent. He delays judgment. He is so
- 6:35Speaker 4: patient and long suffering. Amen, So what has the Lord
- 6:40Speaker 4: been patient concerning us? What area in our lives have
- 6:45Speaker 4: we been struggling to surrender over to the Lord? And
- 6:50Speaker 4: the Lord has been so long suffering and patient waiting
- 6:54Speaker 4: for us to surrender all to him. Well, guess what
- 6:57Speaker 4: today's your day today is?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Today?
- 6:59Speaker 4: That said that thing down, bring it to the altar
- 7:02Speaker 4: and leave it there and allow God to work it
- 7:06Speaker 4: out for us. Say man, hey, man, So today we're
- 7:12Speaker 4: going to see an object lesson. God loves to teach
- 7:18Speaker 4: using objects and illustrations. He is when Jesus was on
- 7:23Speaker 4: this earth and he would teach the multitudes, he would
- 7:26Speaker 4: use parables. He was an amazing storyteller. He would always
- 7:31Speaker 4: use object lessons and things like that. So people can
- 7:35Speaker 4: really get the message and understand it. And so we're
- 7:39Speaker 4: going to see that here in the Book of Jeremiah.
- 7:43Speaker 4: So we're going to start in verse one. Actually we're
- 7:48Speaker 4: gonna read it, and then we'll drop back and we'll
- 7:51Speaker 4: break it down. So verse one it says, thus the
- 7:57Speaker 4: Lord said to me, go and get yourself a linen sash. Now,
- 8:03Speaker 4: this linen sash is something like a belt. They would
- 8:07Speaker 4: wear ropes back then in the ancient days, and they
- 8:10Speaker 4: would use a sash to go around their waist or
- 8:14Speaker 4: sometimes it would come around their chest. And it was
- 8:18Speaker 4: actually very useful because when they needed to get to work.
- 8:22Speaker 4: You know, it's kind of hard and cumberingsome to try
- 8:27Speaker 4: to work in a robe, you know, and so especially
- 8:31Speaker 4: if you're working out in the field or doing things
- 8:33Speaker 4: like that. So there was a thing that they would do.
- 8:36Speaker 4: They would call it gird up your loins. And so
- 8:39Speaker 4: they were able to take the bottom half of their robe,
- 8:43Speaker 4: fold it over, fold it between their legs, and use
- 8:47Speaker 4: the sash to tie it to keep it up so
- 8:51Speaker 4: their legs could be free, especially if they had to run.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Imagine trying to run in a long robe. You know.
- 8:59Speaker 4: The ladies relate trying to run or do things in
- 9:02Speaker 4: a long dress. It's kind of hard, it's kind of restrictive.
- 9:06Speaker 4: And so the men would gird up their loins so
- 9:10Speaker 4: that they could run, possibly go to battle or something
- 9:13Speaker 4: like that, or they had to respond quickly to something
- 9:18Speaker 4: they need to get freed up in their legs. They
- 9:21Speaker 4: would do so, and they would use a linen sash
- 9:26Speaker 4: kind of like a belt type of a thing around
- 9:29Speaker 4: their waist to do this. And so he says, and
- 9:34Speaker 4: put it on around your waist, but do not put
- 9:38Speaker 4: it in water. So he was told not to wash it,
- 9:44Speaker 4: like to allow it to get dirty, right and back
- 9:49Speaker 4: then the sash would be like a different color, almost
- 9:53Speaker 4: like an accessory, right, almost like it was like the
- 9:58Speaker 4: you can say the the beauty of the robel like
- 10:04Speaker 4: it was decorative.
- 10:06Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 10:07Speaker 4: And it was kind of stylish, I guess you can
- 10:10Speaker 4: say that it's like a stylish thing to have your
- 10:14Speaker 4: sash and to have it cleaning cap. But the Lord
- 10:18Speaker 4: told him not to wash it. So I got a
- 10:22Speaker 4: sash according to the word of the Lord, and put
- 10:25Speaker 4: it around my waist. And the word of the Lord
- 10:29Speaker 4: came to me the second time saying, take the sash
- 10:33Speaker 4: that you acquired, which is around your waist, and arise,
- 10:39Speaker 4: and go to the Euphrates and hide it there in
- 10:43Speaker 4: a hole in the rock. So I went, and I
- 10:49Speaker 4: hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Now this is an object lesson amen, and I love
- 10:59Speaker 4: the obedient. So the prophet to carry out all the
- 11:02Speaker 4: commandments that the Lord gave him, or else we would
- 11:06Speaker 4: not have been able to read this and understand it
- 11:11Speaker 4: years later verse six. Now it came to pass, after
- 11:17Speaker 4: many days, that the Lord said to me, arise, go
- 11:21Speaker 4: to the Euphrates, and take from there the sash, which
- 11:25Speaker 4: I can manage you to hide there. Then I went
- 11:28Speaker 4: to the Euphrates and dug and I took the sash
- 11:32Speaker 4: from the place where I had hid it. And there
- 11:37Speaker 4: was the sash ruined. It was profitable for nothing, profitable
- 11:45Speaker 4: for nothing. He couldn't sell it, he couldn't really use it. It
- 11:49Speaker 4: was ruined it probably at this point he probably couldn't
- 11:52Speaker 4: even gird up his loins with it. At this point,
- 11:57Speaker 4: then the word of the Lord came to me, singing,
- 11:59Speaker 4: Thus says the Lord, in this manner, I will ruin
- 12:03Speaker 4: the pride of Judah. Now here's the object lesson and
- 12:07Speaker 4: the great pride of Jerusalem. This evil people who refuse
- 12:12Speaker 4: to hear my words, Now that's important. We cannot refuse
- 12:17Speaker 4: to hear his words. We cannot take his words lightly.
- 12:21Speaker 4: We cannot ignore his word. Amen, who follow the dictates
- 12:26Speaker 4: of their hearts. Man, now you see how evil our
- 12:30Speaker 4: hearts are. You see how much trouble we can get
- 12:34Speaker 4: into just by listening to our own hearts. A lot
- 12:38Speaker 4: of us put too much stock in our hearts. We
- 12:41Speaker 4: put too much feeling, emotion. Our hearts control us. The
- 12:46Speaker 4: world will tell you to follow your heart, But the
- 12:51Speaker 4: word of God tells us not to follow the dictates
- 12:54Speaker 4: of it. And it doesn't even say evil heart. It
- 12:59Speaker 4: just says, takets of your heart in general, and walk
- 13:03Speaker 4: after other guys, to serve them and worship them. Shall
- 13:08Speaker 4: be just like this sash, which is profitable for nothing.
- 13:14Speaker 4: For as the sash clings to the waste of a man,
- 13:18Speaker 4: so I have caused the whole house of Israel and
- 13:22Speaker 4: the whole house of Judah to cling to me, says
- 13:26Speaker 4: the Lord. Thus they may become my people for renown,
- 13:35Speaker 4: for praise, and for glory. But they would not hear. Amen. Okay,
- 13:44Speaker 4: this is good. So let's begin to break this down
- 13:48Speaker 4: a little bit now. As I said, God tells Jeremiah
- 13:55Speaker 4: to take the belt to the Euphrates River. Now, if
- 14:02Speaker 4: you have studied the Book of Revelation, you would know
- 14:05Speaker 4: how significant the Euphrates River is. This is the river
- 14:10Speaker 4: that will be dried up in the last days in
- 14:15Speaker 4: the armies of the world, we'll be able to fit
- 14:17Speaker 4: into this river. And this is where the Lord is
- 14:21Speaker 4: going to come back on a white horse with the
- 14:23Speaker 4: armies of heaven and destroy the Antichrist, the beast, and
- 14:28Speaker 4: the false prophet, and he will take over the world.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Hey man, but the Euphrates River right here in this
- 14:38Speaker 4: story is where Jeremiah was to hide this sash in
- 14:43Speaker 4: the rocks. And then sometimes later we don't know how
- 14:48Speaker 4: long it was. We don't know if it could have
- 14:50Speaker 4: been a year or six months. But God tells him
- 14:54Speaker 4: to go and retrieve it. Then Jeremiah turns and when
- 15:02Speaker 4: he finds the belt, the belt was ruined. It was unprofitable,
- 15:07Speaker 4: it was good for nothing. It was You can imagine
- 15:10Speaker 4: by the river how it could have decayed. I don't
- 15:14Speaker 4: know if you've ever been to the beach and you've
- 15:17Speaker 4: found an old you know, jacket or old clothing or
- 15:23Speaker 4: you know, we know that there's you know, fish and
- 15:27Speaker 4: birds and all kinds of stuff that is in the water,
- 15:32Speaker 4: or you know, stuff that could crawl up, product that
- 15:35Speaker 4: could eat holes in this garment. You know who knows
- 15:40Speaker 4: the you know the way that it was ruined. But
- 15:44Speaker 4: the point is is that now it is ruined as
- 15:48Speaker 4: an object lesson and it was completely useless at this point. Now,
- 15:56Speaker 4: imagine Jeremiah would wonder why God would have him destroy
- 16:02Speaker 4: something that was perfectly good. Like I said, the sash
- 16:07Speaker 4: was kind of like your style. They had different colors.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Maybe your family had a certain color, different clans maybe,
- 16:16Speaker 4: or you know, a different beauty point in your garment.
- 16:22Speaker 4: But now it is ruined, and so God was painting
- 16:27Speaker 4: a picture here. Now in verse eight and verse eleven,
- 16:33Speaker 4: you see the meaning the meaning. God explains what's going
- 16:37Speaker 4: on to Jeremiah. He says, just as the belt became ruined,
- 16:45Speaker 4: so had Judah in Israel, his people, his inheritance. God
- 16:54Speaker 4: says that his inherited people were supposed to cling to him, right,
- 17:03Speaker 4: they were supposed to bring him glory. They're supposed to
- 17:07Speaker 4: bring him honor and praise. God wanted to take them
- 17:15Speaker 4: and put them around his waist, just like this, this
- 17:20Speaker 4: sash right. In other words, what God wants to do
- 17:24Speaker 4: is he wants to keep us close to him. We
- 17:29Speaker 4: are supposed to be close. We're supposed to be walking
- 17:33Speaker 4: close with our heavenly Father on a consistent daily basis.
- 17:39Speaker 4: And how many times do we and I'm guilty of
- 17:42Speaker 4: this myself, how many times do we wake up late,
- 17:46Speaker 4: you know, late to get to the barbershop, or we
- 17:49Speaker 4: have plans for the day and we wake up like
- 17:53Speaker 4: ten minutes before we have to be there, and then
- 17:55Speaker 4: we're rushing, We're yelling at everybody in the house to
- 17:58Speaker 4: get ready, And do we take time out to be
- 18:02Speaker 4: intimate with our heavenly Father. It's kind of hard to do.
- 18:06Speaker 4: So now, it's understandable if it happens every once in
- 18:13Speaker 4: a while, you know, But if this is something that
- 18:19Speaker 4: is a pattern in our lives to where we're always rushing,
- 18:22Speaker 4: we're always late, and we're always missing our time with
- 18:27Speaker 4: our heavenly Father, that's an issue. That's something that we
- 18:33Speaker 4: got to figure that out. Like maybe we need to
- 18:35Speaker 4: prepare the night before so that we don't have to rush.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Maybe we need to put our clothes out, get them ready.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Maybe we need to get food ready, so all we
- 18:45Speaker 4: have to do is grab it on our way out.
- 18:48Speaker 4: You know, what could we do to make sure we
- 18:52Speaker 4: guard our time with our heavenly Father, our time in prayer,
- 18:58Speaker 4: our time and his word, hey man, so that we
- 19:02Speaker 4: can have this close walk with him right and not
- 19:08Speaker 4: be like Judah or Israel in this story they totally
- 19:13Speaker 4: missed it instead of walking close to him, instead of
- 19:18Speaker 4: them being close to him like a sash, like he
- 19:22Speaker 4: wanted to put them around his waist. Right. He wanted
- 19:26Speaker 4: to wear the nation as a beauty mark, as an accessory,
- 19:33Speaker 4: you know, a part of them. You can imagine how
- 19:37Speaker 4: beautiful the robe of God is. You know, the Bible
- 19:41Speaker 4: says that he's beautiful in holiness, and he wants He
- 19:46Speaker 4: wanted the nation to be a part to take part
- 19:50Speaker 4: in that. God has so much for us, He has
- 19:53Speaker 4: so many blessings for us. Just if we can press
- 19:57Speaker 4: into his presence. There's so much much there. There's joy,
- 20:02Speaker 4: unspeakable joy in his presence. There's safety, there's protection, there's rest.
- 20:07Speaker 4: A lot of us are striving on a daily basis.
- 20:11Speaker 4: A lot of us are stressed out. A lot of
- 20:14Speaker 4: us are deal with fear and jealousy. We fear the future,
- 20:18Speaker 4: we fear the economy, we fear the war in Iran.
- 20:22Speaker 4: We fear so many things. But if we only press
- 20:27Speaker 4: into his presence, we will find the benefits and the
- 20:32Speaker 4: goodness of the Lord. That this is how close he
- 20:36Speaker 4: wants us to be just like Judah. But instead they
- 20:41Speaker 4: chose a fidal to follow idols, and they became proud.
- 20:50Speaker 4: They thought it was a badge of honor to be independent,
- 20:54Speaker 4: and to be rebellious, and to be stubborn. These are
- 20:58Speaker 4: characteristics of Satan himself. Pride is what caused him to
- 21:03Speaker 4: fall from heaven. He got kicked out of heaven because
- 21:06Speaker 4: of pride. And they refused to listen. What areas in
- 21:13Speaker 4: our lives are we refusing to listen? I can understand
- 21:18Speaker 4: that there's times where we struggle, but that's it's a
- 21:22Speaker 4: difference when we refuse to listen to the Lord. We
- 21:26Speaker 4: refuse to listen to his word. Amen, And the results
- 21:30Speaker 4: of it was spiritual declay. One of the saddest verses
- 21:36Speaker 4: here is verse eleven. God says that he wanted his
- 21:43Speaker 4: people to be his own possession. That was his intent
- 21:49Speaker 4: and his desire that they would not listen if we could,
- 21:57Speaker 4: if we would only listen to the voice of God. Amen.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Now that should challenge each in every believer. God desires closeness,
- 22:12Speaker 4: not merely our word religious activity. He wants to be close.
- 22:18Speaker 4: He wants to be a part of our every day life. Amen.
- 22:25Speaker 4: So this is how we should applies. This is how
- 22:31Speaker 4: we should apply this to our lives. This is our
- 22:36Speaker 4: life application right here. Now, this is where we're going
- 22:43Speaker 4: to ask several important questions right as we finish this
- 22:50Speaker 4: section of Scripture, as we spend some time on this,
- 22:54Speaker 4: and I want to encourage you to go back and
- 22:56Speaker 4: even read this even after this podcast, ask ourselves, am
- 23:02Speaker 4: I staying close to God each and every day? Like?
- 23:08Speaker 4: What is getting in the way of your prayer life?
- 23:14Speaker 4: Is it sleeping too late to where you're you gotta
- 23:19Speaker 4: hurt and get up and rush off to work? Is
- 23:22Speaker 4: it the Internet? Is it the Xbox? Like? What habits
- 23:30Speaker 4: do you have to change so that you can give
- 23:33Speaker 4: God his rifle place? Then? As has pride solely crept
- 23:39Speaker 4: into my life? Right? So, just like the sash was
- 23:45Speaker 4: buried there and after some time it was ruined. Sin
- 23:51Speaker 4: has a way of progressingly, gradually ruining our lives. That's
- 24:00Speaker 4: a deceptive thing about sin. We can sin today and
- 24:05Speaker 4: think we're okay. We can go out and cheat on
- 24:08Speaker 4: our spouse. We can go in steal some money or
- 24:14Speaker 4: something and think we're not We don't get caught, you know,
- 24:18Speaker 4: we thinking that we're thinking that everything's okay. Right. We
- 24:23Speaker 4: can develop bad habits and behaviors for so long until
- 24:30Speaker 4: finally one day it catches up to us and we
- 24:34Speaker 4: find ourselves distant from God? Am I listening when God speaks? Hey? Man,
- 24:47Speaker 4: that's a question. Are you making that a priority? Be
- 24:53Speaker 4: right down some of the things that you hear in
- 24:56Speaker 4: your prayer time that God has spoken to you. You
- 25:00Speaker 4: has God giving you dreams or visions? And have you
- 25:04Speaker 4: gotten the interpretation? Have you applied your heart? Have you
- 25:07Speaker 4: taken it to heart? Just like we said in the
- 25:10Speaker 4: last episode, God was looking for someone not there was
- 25:15Speaker 4: now one person who took us to heart. Amen, is
- 25:23Speaker 4: my life bringing glory to God? Like I said, sin
- 25:29Speaker 4: really destroys us overnight. Decay happens gradually. It happens with
- 25:39Speaker 4: one compromise, one ignored conviction. One simple act of disobedience
- 25:54Speaker 4: can start us down that slow drift away from God.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Hey man, they say it's the small foxes that spoils
- 26:06Speaker 4: the vineyard. We have to deal with the small compromises
- 26:12Speaker 4: that we're confronted with on a daily basis. But the
- 26:17Speaker 4: good news is this God still causes people back. He
- 26:24Speaker 4: calls them back, he still loves them, he still works
- 26:27Speaker 4: with them, He still wants them to come back to himself. Amen,
- 26:34Speaker 4: all right, let's take it break.
- 26:36Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 26:40Speaker 5: is the hiss hop radio shows.
- 26:53Speaker 6: Will in this was peeping your know you're always taking
- 27:00Speaker 6: it back again. My feet impossible when man is made
- 27:03Speaker 6: possible in Christ.
- 27:04Speaker 7: I'm not saying I don't like me. I see Christ
- 27:06Speaker 7: up in my mind. You no wish you no, I
- 27:08Speaker 7: feel alive. You know what we casing poor straight? The
- 27:10Speaker 7: prayer got us washing my plans with you like you
- 27:12Speaker 7: want to player. But I'm walking in this paper. If
- 27:14Speaker 7: I'm called up in that drama, got it? Tell you
- 27:16Speaker 7: think you may God looks I'm the way.
- 27:18Speaker 6: I'm going up like that look bates taseness. The Lord
- 27:20Speaker 6: is girl. Now I'm gonna take this left day it
- 27:23Speaker 6: was tack and it was peck with the stretches every place.
- 27:25Speaker 7: To me, he had got some in the guy back
- 27:27Speaker 7: in st the sick because some people love whoever's pressing.
- 27:30Speaker 6: So let's how y'all focused. Only how I left the pushing.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Thank you cloud the man.
- 27:33Speaker 7: That's why I saw about the message, found the bread
- 27:36Speaker 7: of life, and now fool like it was resting.
- 27:38Speaker 6: Welcome to the journey.
- 27:39Speaker 7: If this is your first impression, I'm a shout of
- 27:40Speaker 7: God first and plus the citizener. And then if I'm cleaning
- 27:43Speaker 7: on it all, then I don't run out of the lyrics.
- 27:45Speaker 7: They ain't no chatgey between o AA, the holy liar Rene.
- 27:47Speaker 7: If I'm leaning on his leading, suddenly within the mirror
- 27:50Speaker 7: it's a little version of Christ. Then I pray these
- 27:52Speaker 7: people your own mega plans for me, hope in the future.
- 27:55Speaker 7: He got his hand on me in the NDC. And
- 27:57Speaker 7: then when this luck with your.
- 27:58Speaker 6: Vitation, gos but Max Shire, this is in a place here.
- 28:03Speaker 6: The only thing that matters is what you're doing for Christ.
- 28:05Speaker 7: Right got to be consisted. Did not trust his hand
- 28:07Speaker 7: on minds, only the medicine. What you're doing for Christ right,
- 28:11Speaker 7: Christ right, Christ like, what you're doing for Christ. The
- 28:13Speaker 7: only thing that matters is what you're doing for Christ right.
- 28:16Speaker 7: You got to be consisted, did not trust his hand
- 28:18Speaker 7: on mine. Only the matter is what you're doing.
- 28:20Speaker 6: For Christ right, Christ right? Christ like? What you do
- 28:23Speaker 6: for Christ right? Christ right, Christ right, Christ right? The
- 28:31Speaker 6: only thing that mad is what you're doing.
- 28:35Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 28:39Speaker 5: is the hiss Hop Radio show.
- 28:58Speaker 4: All right, all right, we are back from a break.
- 29:00Speaker 4: That's our sister kid Lee. Only thing that matters is
- 29:04Speaker 4: what you do for Christ. Come on now, hey, we
- 29:07Speaker 4: want to give a quick shout out to those in
- 29:09Speaker 4: a life chat. Shout out to our brothers Zone three,
- 29:13Speaker 4: always faithfully coming into the life Chat getting that encouragement
- 29:21Speaker 4: in a quick shout out. Also to missus his house.
- 29:24Speaker 4: She kind of hijacked the Accountability Championship yesterday. So let's
- 29:31Speaker 4: see what's Let's see we have any new challengers today.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Let's see if our brothers Zone can get his spot
- 29:38Speaker 4: back as the trivia champ. We appreciate you brother always
- 29:44Speaker 4: showing up. Check him out, man, He's got some great
- 29:47Speaker 4: music out there. Check out his Spotify link is under
- 29:51Speaker 4: Zone three z O n E three, the number three
- 29:56Speaker 4: one of the sickest Christian hip hop artists in Vegas.
- 30:01Speaker 3: And that.
- 30:04Speaker 4: With that, it is time for our accountability partner segments.
- 30:13Speaker 4: This is where discipleship happens. And it's a healthy thing
- 30:20Speaker 4: to have people in our lives that can speak into
- 30:24Speaker 4: our hearts and our minds, especially when we, as we
- 30:27Speaker 4: saw in this chapter, begin to follow the dictates of
- 30:30Speaker 4: our own hearts. Sometimes we need to be brought back
- 30:33Speaker 4: to the Word of God, and the Bible challenges us
- 30:38Speaker 4: and tells us to renew our minds, and the only
- 30:41Speaker 4: way we can do that is by the Word of God.
- 30:44Speaker 4: And it's good to have a prayer partner, someone to say, hey,
- 30:48Speaker 4: that's not the word, that's not the will of God
- 30:50Speaker 4: for your life. Hopefully you get it from your home church,
- 30:54Speaker 4: but also we would love to come alongside you as
- 30:57Speaker 4: your accountability partner. Meet us in a live chat if
- 31:01Speaker 4: you have questions or if you're dealing with some type
- 31:05Speaker 4: of issue, some type of sin, or something like that.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Sometimes it takes agreement in prayer to break those things.
- 31:14Speaker 4: The Bible says one can chase one thousand, but two
- 31:16Speaker 4: can chase ten thousand and so there's nothing wrong with
- 31:19Speaker 4: this saying hey, I need prayer, I need help, or
- 31:23Speaker 4: this or that and the other. And so that's what
- 31:25Speaker 4: we do here on the podcast, and that's one of
- 31:28Speaker 4: the functions of the live chat is our accountability partner,
- 31:34Speaker 4: and we give you daily challenges. We tell you to
- 31:37Speaker 4: call your partner, text or email or however, FaceTime them,
- 31:42Speaker 4: however you contact them and hit them up sometime this week,
- 31:46Speaker 4: and you can use this as one of your topics
- 31:51Speaker 4: to go over. And the question is is there any
- 31:57Speaker 4: area of pride or compromise as you notice in my
- 32:01Speaker 4: life that I may not see? That's a good, honest
- 32:06Speaker 4: question right there. Let me repeat it, Is there any
- 32:11Speaker 4: area of pride or compromise you've noticed in my life
- 32:17Speaker 4: that I may not see a man and be willing
- 32:22Speaker 4: to listen without becoming defensive. Right, The only way this
- 32:26Speaker 4: works is if we have integrity with ourselves. Is one
- 32:31Speaker 4: thing to lie to other people, but it's dangerous when
- 32:34Speaker 4: you're lying to yourself, right, because we ain't fooling over,
- 32:38Speaker 4: We ain't fooling God. God can see anyway, and so
- 32:42Speaker 4: it's good to just have integrity and to be honest.
- 32:46Speaker 4: God will resist a pride, but it gives grace to
- 32:49Speaker 4: the humble. It takes humility to have an accountability partner,
- 32:53Speaker 4: but guess what, it takes humility to get into the kingdom. Amen.
- 33:01Speaker 4: And then after you talk about it, and after you
- 33:05Speaker 4: listen and hear and pray together, encourage one another to
- 33:10Speaker 4: remain close to God. Right, that's his desire. He wants
- 33:14Speaker 4: to put us on like a belt and man. And
- 33:23Speaker 4: we want to find you that. His Hop Radio is
- 33:27Speaker 4: a monitored and a reporting radio station. If you'll like
- 33:32Speaker 4: to sing your music our way, just go to our
- 33:34Speaker 4: website Hishopnation dot com. We have very affordable advertisement on there.
- 33:41Speaker 4: We're not trying to break the bank. We report to
- 33:45Speaker 4: three different charts and yes, every time your song gets played,
- 33:51Speaker 4: we collect the data so that you can get credit
- 33:57Speaker 4: for it, and we do pay royalties here on the station.
- 34:02Speaker 4: So go ahead and hit us up or even hit
- 34:05Speaker 4: us up on our app. His Hot Radio on all platforms.
- 34:12Speaker 4: And now once again it's time for trivia. So the
- 34:20Speaker 4: question is will Zone three get his spot back today? Amen?
- 34:27Speaker 4: All right, get your fingers ready, hand on over to
- 34:31Speaker 4: the life chat and the first one to answer the
- 34:35Speaker 4: question gets the answer. Well, the first one to answer
- 34:41Speaker 4: the question correctly becomes the trivia champ for today. So
- 34:49Speaker 4: here's the question, what object did God tells Jeremiah to
- 34:56Speaker 4: buy to? Where as an illustration? Let me ask you
- 35:02Speaker 4: get again, what object did God tell Jeremiah to buy to?
- 35:08Speaker 4: Where as an illustration in another clue, I'm gonna give
- 35:12Speaker 4: you he wore it around his waist. So what item
- 35:18Speaker 4: was that that he used for his object? Lesson hey
- 35:27Speaker 4: Man posted in the Life chat. And now it's time
- 35:33Speaker 4: for our community shout out. This is the time we
- 35:37Speaker 4: love to let people know about our organization, the events
- 35:42Speaker 4: and the things that we got coming up, or even
- 35:46Speaker 4: just if you want to volunteer or get involved, or
- 35:52Speaker 4: if you have an event or something like that, we
- 35:54Speaker 4: would love to shout you out. Let us know. Just
- 35:57Speaker 4: go to our website and let us know what you got.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Go when our next event we got coming up is
- 36:04Speaker 4: actually in August August twenty ninth, we will be at
- 36:07Speaker 4: the Resort World, the Business Mixer type of a setting,
- 36:11Speaker 4: but I'm gonna bring the podcast and we're gonna bring
- 36:15Speaker 4: our three sixty booth to come and take some cool
- 36:19Speaker 4: videos inside the Resort World, and we're gonna bring the music,
- 36:25Speaker 4: so we're gonna have some fun as we meet some
- 36:28Speaker 4: of the leading people in our community. We're gonna meet
- 36:31Speaker 4: with some business owners and some leaders in our community.
- 36:35Speaker 4: If you desire to start a business, or if you
- 36:39Speaker 4: have a business you need to expand your network, we
- 36:42Speaker 4: invite you to come out. It's gonna be all day
- 36:45Speaker 4: event at the Resort World August the twenty ninth. You
- 36:51Speaker 4: can catch us there. And also we want to let
- 36:57Speaker 4: you know that His Hot Nation is is a nonprofit organization.
- 37:04Speaker 4: We are a five oh one ceed three. We opened
- 37:08Speaker 4: a Christian club back in twenty twelve. We ministered for
- 37:13Speaker 4: seven years straight and man, God has blessed us. We
- 37:16Speaker 4: did concerts and events every month. We impacted our community
- 37:21Speaker 4: and we believe that this ministry is still needed and
- 37:27Speaker 4: it's still God's will to reopen and to operate it.
- 37:32Speaker 4: But we're also humble enough to say that we cannot
- 37:35Speaker 4: do it ourselves. We need help from our brothers and sisters.
- 37:39Speaker 4: We need help from our community. So if you can
- 37:44Speaker 4: sponsor us, or become a monthly donor, or if you
- 37:48Speaker 4: know of any grants, or if you are a grant writer,
- 37:51Speaker 4: if you want to volunteer and help our organization financially,
- 37:58Speaker 4: and we appreciate it. You can donate and you can
- 38:01Speaker 4: do all that on our website, his hot nation dot com.
- 38:05Speaker 4: You can also donate on our app, his hot Radio
- 38:08Speaker 4: and all platforms, and you can also go to our
- 38:13Speaker 4: nonprofit website, his hot nation dot org and you can
- 38:17Speaker 4: support us on that and get more information on that
- 38:21Speaker 4: side of our organization. And with that, beloved, it is
- 38:31Speaker 4: time for me to get them up out of here.
- 38:37Speaker 4: It's my time here on the podcast. But I'm not
- 38:41Speaker 4: gonna go without closing remarks in, without closing out in prayer.
- 38:52Speaker 4: So actually I'm gonna I'm gonna give us a reflection
- 38:58Speaker 4: question right here, right, what area of your life has
- 39:02Speaker 4: slowly drifted away from God?
- 39:06Speaker 3: Right?
- 39:06Speaker 4: I think it's a healthy thing if we can just
- 39:08Speaker 4: sit down and reflect from time to time. Right, this
- 39:12Speaker 4: is something we should be doing on a consistent basis.
- 39:15Speaker 4: What area, what area in your life have you been
- 39:22Speaker 4: not submitted to the Lord. It could be the area
- 39:25Speaker 4: of finances. It could be your tongue, It could be
- 39:29Speaker 4: the way you speak where you speak to others. It
- 39:32Speaker 4: could be an attitude. If it's sinple and God says
- 39:36Speaker 4: not to do it, then we need to be obedient. Amen,
- 39:43Speaker 4: what practical steps can you take today to draw closer
- 39:47Speaker 4: to him? Now take a few minutes this week and
- 39:52Speaker 4: pray honestly about that question and discuss it with your
- 39:58Speaker 4: accountability partner. The linen belt teaches us something we should
- 40:06Speaker 4: never forget. Our purpose is found in our relationship with God.
- 40:12Speaker 4: When we remain close to him, our lives reflect his glory. Amen.
- 40:19Speaker 4: But when pride, compromise, and disobedience create distance, we begin
- 40:26Speaker 4: to lose the purpose for which we were created. Hey, man,
- 40:32Speaker 4: the nation of Israel would have been glorious if they
- 40:36Speaker 4: would have stayed around his waist. That they just would
- 40:40Speaker 4: have listened to God. Now, God's desire has never changed.
- 40:48Speaker 4: He still wants a people who cling to him, listen
- 40:53Speaker 4: to his voice, and bring him honor through the way
- 40:58Speaker 4: that they live. So today, choose closeness over compromise. That's
- 41:04Speaker 4: a T shirt right there. Choose humility over pride and
- 41:09Speaker 4: obedience over convenience. Now remember, stay in the word, stay
- 41:17Speaker 4: close to God, and let's stay faithful to him. Amen,
- 41:23Speaker 4: let's close out in prayer. Only Father, We thank you,
- 41:26Speaker 4: Oh God. We ask Father God that you will help
- 41:30Speaker 4: us in every area for which we struggle. We ask Father, God, Lord,
- 41:35Speaker 4: that you would draw us close to you, Oh God,
- 41:38Speaker 4: that we will be around your way, So God, that
- 41:43Speaker 4: you can use us, So God as a belt, that
- 41:47Speaker 4: you can use us. So God, O Lord, that we'll
- 41:50Speaker 4: be so close to your chest, that our heart beats
- 41:54Speaker 4: will have the same rhythm. Lord, help us, Lord God,
- 41:57Speaker 4: to draw closer to you. Help us to be faith full,
- 42:01Speaker 4: help us to bring you glory. We ask, o God,
- 42:04Speaker 4: Oh Lord, that you'll help us guard our hearts against pride,
- 42:08Speaker 4: against drifting slowly away, against compromise, against anything that is
- 42:15Speaker 4: offensive to you. Oh God. We asked this in Jesus' name. Amen,
- 42:19Speaker 4: Remember it's not about us, It's all about the Christ
- 42:23Speaker 4: in us.
- 42:32Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 42:36Speaker 5: is the Hiss Hop radio show.
