CDs see a resurgence as listeners value ownership and choice
CDs seem to be experiencing a resurgence. John Lewis reported that searches for CD players have increased by 96 percent since July, and another report on this year's music and film trends found a 16 percent rise in CD sales. Andrew Wales, a collector from London, owns well over 10,000 CDs and has always favored owning music in physical form. Some classical music he buys is available only on CD.
