- 0:22Speaker 1: You are listening to Eagles postgame analysis here at the
- 0:24Speaker 1: Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly
- 0:28Speaker 1: sports podcast show in the world, over twelve and a
- 0:29Speaker 1: half years strong. In the Philadelphia Eagles losing Week fourteen
- 0:35Speaker 1: of this season two the Los Angeles Chargers out in
- 0:38Speaker 1: Los Angeles by a score of twenty two to nineteen
- 0:41Speaker 1: in a game that went to overtime, In a game
- 0:45Speaker 1: that this Eagles offense absolutely sucked in terms of playing
- 0:50Speaker 1: professional football. My goodness, defense not looking too bad at all,
- 0:55Speaker 1: but the Eagles offense, Jalen Hurts, the offensive line, even
- 0:59Speaker 1: the receivers from time to time absolutely sucked. We're going
- 1:03Speaker 1: to dive into our themes from this game and dish
- 1:05Speaker 1: out some grades as well. I'm Jeff Warren. I'm here
- 1:08Speaker 1: at my good buddy Josh Shuster from Philadelphia soccernow dot com.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Appreciate you, buddy, filling in for the guys. I'm sorry
- 1:15Speaker 1: you have to actually at this point stayed up late
- 1:19Speaker 1: to do this. I do appreciate it, buddy. Thank you,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and I say thank you, Josh, but I also say
- 1:25Speaker 1: fuck you to this Eagles offense. What a bunch of bullshit.
- 1:31Speaker 1: We watched. In this game, they had a mini bye week. Basically,
- 1:35Speaker 1: this Eagles team basically had a mini bye week. We
- 1:38Speaker 1: saw five turnovers and eleven plays in the second quarter.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yes, you know ye Nick was involved this week.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yes, Nick Sirianni, the head coach, apparently was involved in
- 1:50Speaker 1: terms of the offensive coordinating and offensive game planning. Folks,
- 1:55Speaker 1: we had a quarterback that through four interceptions in this
- 1:58Speaker 1: game also so fumbled after one of those interceptions, he
- 2:03Speaker 1: actually turned the ball over two times in one play,
- 2:07Speaker 1: which actually made NFL history. No quarterback had actually done that.
- 2:11Speaker 1: From a tweet that I saw from our old friend
- 2:13Speaker 1: of the show, Ben Solak, so, I don't even know
- 2:17Speaker 1: where to start in terms of the shit that is
- 2:19Speaker 1: this offense. There's good stuff in this game from the
- 2:22Speaker 1: from the Eagles defense, for sure, and we're gonna certainly
- 2:25Speaker 1: talk about it. There was good stuff. Seven sacks, eleven
- 2:29Speaker 1: quarterback hits. We're gonna dive into this Eagles defense for sure,
- 2:33Speaker 1: but we gotta tell I'm gonna let you start, buddy.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I know every time that you know, we get on
- 2:37Speaker 1: here and we do the postgame shows together, I know
- 2:39Speaker 1: I usually go off and I go crazy at first
- 2:42Speaker 1: but I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna hand that mantle
- 2:44Speaker 1: over to you right now. Feel free, feel free, first
- 2:48Speaker 1: theme of the game.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I I don't. I don't even have passion left.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It's tough. They sucked it out of us, man, they
- 2:57Speaker 1: really did it. It's just pain.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I I the Eagles can't even muster in four quarters
- 3:06Speaker 2: twenty points. I mean, this isn't you know the third
- 3:10Speaker 2: week of September where we can kind of look and say, well,
- 3:14Speaker 2: they're just trying to figure things out. I mean, all
- 3:18Speaker 2: week we heard about how the energy is good, right,
- 3:23Speaker 2: like Saquon was talking about that and giving interviews and
- 3:28Speaker 2: Nick is getting more involved. Jeff, I'm gonna be honest.
- 3:31Speaker 2: The offense was exactly the same, same, absolutely, except for
- 3:35Speaker 2: you know, the Chargers have a horrible run defense, so
- 3:40Speaker 2: the Eagles were able to run it a little more.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So it makes sense in the second half that they
- 3:44Speaker 2: decide to just not run the ball anymore after being
- 3:48Speaker 2: completely successful in the first half, and they went to
- 3:53Speaker 2: just deep throws or you know what's working over the
- 3:59Speaker 2: middle of utilizing Goddard over the middle or aj Brown
- 4:04Speaker 2: in contact areas. Right, that makes sense. The first play
- 4:09Speaker 2: of the game. What they decide to do is aj
- 4:12Speaker 2: Brown goes along. Why and at this rate, like, to
- 4:17Speaker 2: be perfectly honest, it's probably better to throw an incomplete
- 4:20Speaker 2: pass on first down than actually trying to run the ball.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And how we've gotten there. Yeah, because at least you
- 4:27Speaker 2: start second and ten with an incomplete pass right right,
- 4:30Speaker 2: opposed to second and eleven, thirteen fifteen. Yep, I don't know,
- 4:37Speaker 2: I it is. I use a lot of words for
- 4:41Speaker 2: my profession, and I don't have many left. I just
- 4:46Speaker 2: I don't even know what I watched tonight.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah, both way back, five.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Turnovers, don't I don't even know what I watched tonight.
- 4:55Speaker 1: This is the I'm dumbfounded. I think I think the rest
- 5:00Speaker 1: of Eagles Nation is dumbfounded at this point. Both of
- 5:03Speaker 1: these offenses in this game, both Eagles and Chargers offenses,
- 5:06Speaker 1: didn't seem like they wanted to win this game. Both
- 5:09Speaker 1: they both defenses were playing really well, but from an
- 5:12Speaker 1: offensive standpoint. As we get into the theme. As we continued,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I should say to dive into the themes here, I mean,
- 5:20Speaker 1: where do we start. I wanted to see Jalen Hurts
- 5:22Speaker 1: play better than he did against Chicago. We all did
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know the narrative coming out of that game? It
- 5:28Speaker 1: was windy during that Black Friday game. Yes, he struggled
- 5:31Speaker 1: with accuracy and more importantly, didn't seem to see receivers
- 5:37Speaker 1: that were open. We wanted to see a little something
- 5:39Speaker 1: different this week, and we saw the same Jalen Hurts
- 5:43Speaker 1: that we saw about a week and a half ago,
- 5:45Speaker 1: if not a worse version, of course, of Jalen Hurts
- 5:48Speaker 1: with foreig interceptions. It was absolutely, absolutely How many times
- 5:53Speaker 1: did we have to hear Troy Aikman say on the
- 5:56Speaker 1: broadcast that Hurts was missing wide open receivers. I must
- 5:59Speaker 1: have that at least five or six times for God's sake.
- 6:04Speaker 1: As bad as Jalen Hurts played though, as well, and
- 6:06Speaker 1: it goes to what you initially said, Josh, goes to
- 6:09Speaker 1: what you initially said about the time that this offensive
- 6:13Speaker 1: coaching staff had the positive energy. I want to say this,
- 6:17Speaker 1: for whatever deficiencies that Jalen Hurts has, and there are
- 6:22Speaker 1: certainly a number of them, after this Week fourteen game
- 6:25Speaker 1: against the Chargers, this coaching staff has done a horrible
- 6:30Speaker 1: job of creating a game plan, an attacking type of
- 6:34Speaker 1: game plan that actually highlights what Jalen Hurts does well.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It's hard to wrap my head around. And yes, Jalen
- 6:41Speaker 1: Hurts does do things well in this league and during
- 6:46Speaker 1: his tenure as the Eagles quarterback the Super Bowl MVP,
- 6:50Speaker 1: he does good things, but this coaching staff is doing
- 6:54Speaker 1: a horrible job of creating a game plan that actually
- 6:57Speaker 1: highlights what he does well. Before where we hit the
- 7:00Speaker 1: record button, you're like, Jeff, you know, check out, check out,
- 7:03Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts is rushing four fucking carries for eight yards?
- 7:07Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 7:09Speaker 2: With three of those attempts coming in the first half?
- 7:11Speaker 1: There you go, yes, absolutely, So we're talking themes of
- 7:16Speaker 1: this game, and yes we're disappointed, we're pissed off. You know,
- 7:19Speaker 1: all we want to do is just completely take a
- 7:22Speaker 1: piss all over this game. Really, but I also wanted
- 7:26Speaker 1: to see if the offensive line was gonna help Saquon
- 7:28Speaker 1: Barkley out in this game, you know, and I guess
- 7:32Speaker 1: they did. I would say they were, they were better.
- 7:35Speaker 1: They weren't great in the run game at all. Saquon
- 7:38Speaker 1: had to break a few off there, Josh and and
- 7:41Speaker 1: and I think that right from the start of the
- 7:46Speaker 1: game though, we started to see that exact same predictable
- 7:49Speaker 1: play calling that we've been seeing week after week. You
- 7:51Speaker 1: just knew on that opening drive they were gonna throw
- 7:54Speaker 1: those hitch routes to the receivers every single time. Guess
- 7:57Speaker 1: what they did. We saw it. I mean, they continued
- 8:01Speaker 1: with going with eleven personnel just about the whole time,
- 8:04Speaker 1: right out of the gate, predictable as always. Grant cal Katara,
- 8:08Speaker 1: for some reason, is still out on the perimeter blocking
- 8:12Speaker 1: in the rushing attack for some reason when it does
- 8:16Speaker 1: not work. Check this out. In the first quarter, the
- 8:19Speaker 1: Chargers gained eighty three yards on nine plays, the Eagles
- 8:22Speaker 1: gained sixty four yards on seventeen plays.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And the Eagles got the ball first. I just want
- 8:29Speaker 2: to point that.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Out, absolutely, absolutely so. The theme there is you're getting
- 8:34Speaker 1: the Eagles are getting yards, but they're doing hitch routes,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and then there's no yards after the catch. There's hardly
- 8:42Speaker 1: any yards after the catch at all. With this team.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Oh gosh, it's just it's so disenchanting to know the
- 8:52Speaker 1: talent that is on this team. They're not playing well.
- 8:57Speaker 1: The players themselves and the coaches are still doing the
- 9:01Speaker 1: same fucking thing that they've been doing for weeks and
- 9:04Speaker 1: weeks and weeks now. It's just there's so many other
- 9:10Speaker 1: things to get into with this game. I'm gonna stop
- 9:12Speaker 1: pontificating right now. Where do you want to go next?
- 9:15Speaker 1: In terms of the direction here.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I think the Eagles have two big problems. The first
- 9:23Speaker 2: is I don't know how you figure out the offensive
- 9:27Speaker 2: issue without causing major ripple effects. What I mean by
- 9:32Speaker 2: that is, Okay, so you want to put Tanner McKee
- 9:35Speaker 2: in to figure out if it's play calling or the quarterback.
- 9:40Speaker 2: How does that not blow up in your face?
- 9:42Speaker 1: Right right?
- 9:43Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just I'm being realistic and I'm wearing
- 9:46Speaker 2: a Jalen Hurts jersey right now. Yeah, I like Jalen Hurts.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But I have listened to and this isn't just people
- 9:58Speaker 2: calling into like WIP. I'm talking about former players, but
- 10:02Speaker 2: talk about the fact that the playbook is extremely limited
- 10:05Speaker 2: because of him. I don't know that the playbook is
- 10:10Speaker 2: doing him any favors, but the problem is you can't
- 10:15Speaker 2: bench him while he's making a bazillion dollars a year. Yes,
- 10:20Speaker 2: I looked, he's the eleventh highest paid quarterback in the NFL.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I go based off of catpit. That's what actually matters.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I don't care about signing botuses or any of this stuff.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Like I'm looking at Cappit. He's the eleventh highest paid
- 10:35Speaker 2: quarterback in the NFL. He has not played that way
- 10:37Speaker 2: this year. He has not been good this year and
- 10:40Speaker 2: tonight has really not been good. And I think, you know,
- 10:43Speaker 2: you'll probably get the cookie cutting answers from him after
- 10:47Speaker 2: the game, which is at this point, it's starting to
- 10:50Speaker 2: get all my nerves, like I'm tired of him talking
- 10:53Speaker 2: about how he needs to do better. It starts with him,
- 10:57Speaker 2: YadA YadA, YadA, fix it.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 11:01Speaker 2: The other problem is, you know, you're looking at the
- 11:05Speaker 2: fourth quarter and this isn't to make the AJ Brown
- 11:08Speaker 2: thing a thing. He's just happy because he's getting the ball.
- 11:13Speaker 2: He doesn't care that they're losing. He doesn't care that
- 11:16Speaker 2: it's tied, he doesn't care that they're winning. He's just
- 11:19Speaker 2: happy when he gets the ball. And that's that's a
- 11:22Speaker 2: problem because it's stopping DeVante Smith, who is the number
- 11:26Speaker 2: one wide receiver on this team. Yeah, there's a very
- 11:32Speaker 2: real situation that the Eagles are looking at. And I
- 11:36Speaker 2: forget who mentioned it this week, but they talked about
- 11:40Speaker 2: the fact that actually I guess it was Ike Reece,
- 11:44Speaker 2: who has you know, come around been a Jalen Hurts defender.
- 11:48Speaker 2: He you know, was a Bronco guy, a once guy,
- 11:51Speaker 2: but he's come around and become a Hurts defender. And
- 11:56Speaker 2: he talked about the fact that in watching football this weekend,
- 11:59Speaker 2: you watch quarterbacks make their progressions and Hurts doesn't do that.
- 12:05Speaker 2: He decides who was going to ahead of the ahead
- 12:08Speaker 2: of the play, and that's what's going to The Other
- 12:12Speaker 2: thing is, you know, I text you you know Will
- 12:15Speaker 2: Shipley was out and and Meryl Reese talked about this
- 12:18Speaker 2: weeks ago when Meryl, when Will Shipley is out, it's
- 12:22Speaker 2: going to be a pass play. Yep, he's out for
- 12:24Speaker 2: two consecutive plays. What do they do when those two
- 12:26Speaker 2: consecutive plays pass plays? Like again, as a South Carolina fan,
- 12:32Speaker 2: I watched Will Shipley run all over the South Carolina defense.
- 12:37Speaker 2: For the record, actually has the most interceptions of any
- 12:42Speaker 2: collegiate team in the NFL this year, so they actually
- 12:45Speaker 2: have a legitimate defense. I watched him run all over
- 12:49Speaker 2: the South Carolina defense for years.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yeah they don't run with it, Yeah they don't. They don't.
- 12:56Speaker 1: They're not running with him at all out there. It's
- 12:58Speaker 1: so so it's the predictability still of this offense.
- 13:03Speaker 2: But here's the bigger problem. It doesn't matter if it's
- 13:06Speaker 2: Tank Bigsby, it doesn't matter if it's Will Shipley. If
- 13:10Speaker 2: we're at the point where we're talking about these two
- 13:12Speaker 2: individuals making an impact, we got problems.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And I don't know. I don't even know if
- 13:20Speaker 2: I got it in my second point. My second point
- 13:22Speaker 2: was I don't know where this team goes in the draft.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I mean, they need multiple players on the offensive line,
- 13:29Speaker 2: they need two defensive ends, they need a second corner,
- 13:33Speaker 2: they need depth at safety. I mean you can go
- 13:38Speaker 2: all and if you get rid of aj Brown. Now
- 13:40Speaker 2: you're talking about needing a wide receiver because you don't
- 13:43Speaker 2: have a slot wide receiver. Yeah, you still don't have
- 13:46Speaker 2: a slot wide receiver. It's been years, Like, I don't
- 13:50Speaker 2: know where this team goes in the draft. But it's
- 13:53Speaker 2: a problem.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. And you see that the holes that
- 13:59Speaker 1: this team has as not just from a personnel standpoint,
- 14:04Speaker 1: which they've certainly seem to have been exposed in different
- 14:08Speaker 1: areas on the offense for sure, But I also want
- 14:12Speaker 1: to talk about certain play calling and certain in game situations.
- 14:17Speaker 1: If you don't mind here, Yeah, first one is going
- 14:21Speaker 1: to that play call. It was third and eleven, there
- 14:24Speaker 1: were about two minutes and twenty seconds left in the game.
- 14:29Speaker 1: A horrendous play call by Kevin Petulo. It was a
- 14:32Speaker 1: terrible throw by Jalen Hurtz out into the flats to
- 14:36Speaker 1: Devonte Smith. I cannot understand that particular play call in
- 14:42Speaker 1: that situation, in that in game situation where you are
- 14:46Speaker 1: at the end of the game, you are driving, it
- 14:48Speaker 1: is third and eleven and you are going to throw
- 14:51Speaker 1: that far behind the sticks. It just absolutely baffles me.
- 14:58Speaker 1: From a scheming standpoint, an in game type of situation.
- 15:03Speaker 1: It's it's a call. In all honesty, everybody's been saying,
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know, we gotta fire Kevin Patoola like that, Like
- 15:07Speaker 1: that particular play right there should have been like, Okay,
- 15:11Speaker 1: we have to get rid of this guy. Absolutely have
- 15:14Speaker 1: to get rid of him. We see it time and
- 15:17Speaker 1: time again, these type of calls that are just baffling,
- 15:21Speaker 1: and we're look, I'm a dope here in my home
- 15:25Speaker 1: studio with a microphone in front of me. Yes, I've
- 15:28Speaker 1: been watching football my whole life. I understand the game
- 15:31Speaker 1: pretty well. A lot of folks out there understand the
- 15:33Speaker 1: game much better than I do and provide this type
- 15:38Speaker 1: of analysis as well. But if folks like myself are
- 15:42Speaker 1: seeing this, other folks are seeing this as well. I
- 15:45Speaker 1: don't understand the lack of being able to alter and
- 15:50Speaker 1: change things. I don't understand that. Yes, there's only a
- 15:54Speaker 1: few more games left in the regular season, but why
- 15:57Speaker 1: can't small alteration be made. We keep seeing the same shit,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and it's crazy. It is absolutely crazy to me, Josh,
- 16:08Speaker 1: that we see the same type of play designs week
- 16:11Speaker 1: after week. But I'll say this, how about this, though
- 16:16Speaker 1: the Eagles look the offense looks dramatically better when they
- 16:19Speaker 1: mix up the tempo and utilize no huddle. It's truly
- 16:24Speaker 1: like a night and day difference type of thing, Like
- 16:26Speaker 1: we saw it a couple times tonight. And they were
- 16:28Speaker 1: actually able to drive the ball down the field. I mean,
- 16:31Speaker 1: the old Chip Kelly way of doing things, I guess,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but my goodness, they were actually able to be productive
- 16:37Speaker 1: in terms of going tempo. I it's so frustrating, and
- 16:43Speaker 1: it's not gonna get any better, folks, Folks, It's not
- 16:45Speaker 1: gonna get any better. From now until the end of
- 16:47Speaker 1: the regular season, and if and when this team is
- 16:49Speaker 1: in the playoffs, it's just not gonna get any better here.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I feel like I'm already looking towards twenty twenty six.
- 16:56Speaker 2: So I'm gonna ring poker in for an example here. Okay,
- 17:01Speaker 2: I am a pretty successful poker player. It was kind
- 17:06Speaker 2: of crazy for a pastor to be a successful but
- 17:12Speaker 2: you know, my my school ran a tournament and I
- 17:15Speaker 2: finished very well every year that they ran. And part
- 17:18Speaker 2: of it is is just being able to read people.
- 17:22Speaker 2: And it's no difference with defensive coordinators reading an offense.
- 17:28Speaker 2: There's two ways that you can use motion. One is
- 17:34Speaker 2: to set it up where you keep the opposition guessing,
- 17:39Speaker 2: and the other, in a poker term, is as a tell.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And the way the Eagles are running motion right now
- 17:47Speaker 2: it is absolutely a tell.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And that's a great point.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Oh man, I'm gonna I'm gonna kick myself. Who was
- 17:57Speaker 2: the Eagles linebacker Seth Yes, he's on WYP talks about
- 18:03Speaker 2: it literally, it's become a weekly segment where he basically
- 18:07Speaker 2: talks about the fact that when DeVante Smith goes into motion, yes,
- 18:12Speaker 2: it's run play. So not only do you have Smith
- 18:15Speaker 2: in motion, it's a run play. You have Shipley in
- 18:18Speaker 2: it's going to be a pass play. They are tipping
- 18:22Speaker 2: their hand in terms of what they have, and they
- 18:26Speaker 2: are the best people to have at a poker table
- 18:29Speaker 2: because you already know, right, like you can eliminate three
- 18:33Speaker 2: people at the poker table because you know their tell yes,
- 18:37Speaker 2: and it's super easy to tell. The problem for the
- 18:41Speaker 2: Eagles is this offense, like they they dominated the first half. Jeff,
- 18:48Speaker 2: do you want to guess at what the time of
- 18:50Speaker 2: possession was by the end of the game?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Ooh, I don't. I don't. I'm not gonna look. I'm
- 18:55Speaker 1: not gonna look, even though I have the stats up.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Was it? Did the Eagles have twenty four twenty four minutes?
- 19:04Speaker 2: No, they actually had twenty nine. But here's the problem.
- 19:07Speaker 2: They were at about nineteen minutes of possession in the
- 19:11Speaker 2: first half, nineteen of the thirty minutes of the first half. Yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 2: they had possession on which means in the second half
- 19:18Speaker 2: they just got completely obliterated.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yep.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah, your defense can't keep up with that. Like, I don't,
- 19:26Speaker 2: I don't know what to tell you and my other
- 19:30Speaker 2: I guess I'll use a final thought here, I felt
- 19:33Speaker 2: like I was setting a pretty low bar that Jalen Hurts,
- 19:37Speaker 2: as the eleventh highest paid quarterback in the NFL, would
- 19:41Speaker 2: be able to outperform a quarterback who literally had surgery
- 19:46Speaker 2: on Monday, literally seven days ago, had surgery. He couldn't
- 19:51Speaker 2: do it in perfect literally perfect weather conditions. Now your
- 19:58Speaker 2: terminology of perfect perfect weather conditions is minus thirty, but
- 20:02Speaker 2: it was seventy degrees on the field with no wind.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I don't anyway, Yeah, I'll just leave it at that. Yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 2: I am. I don't understand why you're not running the
- 20:15Speaker 2: ball in the fourth quarter. I don't. I don't get it.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I mean, if you look at the stats, So Saquon Barkley, right,
- 20:23Speaker 2: who has had a very off season, I feel like
- 20:28Speaker 2: is kind of fair to say, right, like he hasn't
- 20:30Speaker 2: been great this.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Year, right, Yes, but if you look.
- 20:34Speaker 2: At his stats, he had over one hundred yards tonight, yeah, right,
- 20:39Speaker 2: Like he averaged six yards to carry. But we're not
- 20:42Speaker 2: going to use him in the fourth quarter.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Right right, not going to utilize them at all. Yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 1: not going to utilize them at all. Didn't see any
- 20:51Speaker 1: of those swing passes to him really at all throughout
- 20:54Speaker 1: this game.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I'm okay with that. Yeah, Like Barkley is not a
- 20:57Speaker 2: great receiver, right, but if he he's having a night
- 21:01Speaker 2: where he's got six yards of carry, he's got over
- 21:04Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty yards on the game, why are
- 21:06Speaker 2: we not using him in the fourth quarter? Right? I
- 21:08Speaker 2: don't get that.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And if he's able to break runs on the outside,
- 21:12Speaker 1: like we saw a number of times tonight, Yeah, you
- 21:14Speaker 1: know what going through the A gap wasn't It wasn't
- 21:16Speaker 1: a great thing tonight by any stretch when he was
- 21:20Speaker 1: running trying to run through the A gap, not a
- 21:22Speaker 1: lot was going on. Why because the Eagles interior offensive
- 21:25Speaker 1: line just stinks and they have this entire season. But
- 21:30Speaker 1: you're running him to the outside, he's able to break
- 21:33Speaker 1: some off, he's able to get six yards.
- 21:35Speaker 2: He stopped trying to run it up the middle in
- 21:38Speaker 2: the second half, Yeah, because he was aware that it
- 21:40Speaker 2: wasn't working. Because he's a smart player. I would be
- 21:47Speaker 2: very interested to see the breakdown of running plays in
- 21:50Speaker 2: the first half in the second half. I don't have
- 21:52Speaker 2: it here with me, but I would be very interested anyway.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if you got anything else for
- 21:58Speaker 1: the do you want to move over the defense because
- 22:00Speaker 1: I want to give the defense props. To be honest
- 22:02Speaker 1: with you, I really do as much as yes, it's
- 22:04Speaker 1: a team game, a team effort. This defense really showed
- 22:09Speaker 1: us something. And I do want to say too. The
- 22:10Speaker 1: caveat is that this Chargers offensive line, the interior of
- 22:15Speaker 1: that Chargers offensive line is not good. They are not
- 22:18Speaker 1: very talented. Left guard and tackles and both tackles were
- 22:22Speaker 1: out horrible offensive line. Absolutely they did, and that is
- 22:26Speaker 1: why this Eagles team had seven sacks, They had seven
- 22:30Speaker 1: tackles for loss. They had eleven quarterback hits. I mean
- 22:36Speaker 1: Justin Herbert got the crap kicked out of him tonight,
- 22:39Speaker 1: and that team still ended up winning this game. And
- 22:44Speaker 1: I gotta say the defense did its job. At the
- 22:46Speaker 1: end of the day. The defense did its job, Josh,
- 22:50Speaker 1: and I don't know what more they can do. This
- 22:53Speaker 1: is a crew that has to be incredibly frustrated with
- 22:56Speaker 1: what's going on on the other side of the ball.
- 22:59Speaker 1: They consist are keeping this team in games. They're consistently
- 23:04Speaker 1: keeping them in games. There was a stat that I
- 23:09Speaker 1: saw and where do I have that stat? And I'm
- 23:12Speaker 1: not sure if I have it right now? And I
- 23:14Speaker 1: don't have it right now, darn it, but just dealing
- 23:18Speaker 1: with the pressure, consistent pressure that they were able to get.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Jalen Phillips has been such a fantastic addition. And I
- 23:27Speaker 1: also got to give some props to one A Dori Jackson.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I have to look, I give him credit for playing
- 23:35Speaker 1: some very good defense in the first half. He was
- 23:39Speaker 1: injured for a bit, came back. You know, he did
- 23:41Speaker 1: give up some yards here and there, but it wasn't
- 23:44Speaker 1: critical yards. It wasn't yards where there was a touchdown scored.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I mean, he A Dori Jackson played extremely well tonight,
- 23:53Speaker 1: and I gotta give him props because he has been
- 23:55Speaker 1: that one guy that we've all been shitting on for
- 23:59Speaker 1: the majority of this season, and rightfully so during games.
- 24:01Speaker 1: But I got to give him credit where it's due.
- 24:03Speaker 1: He had a really good game tonight. Linebackers, my gosh,
- 24:06Speaker 1: they were getting there. I mean, na, Kobe Dean probably
- 24:09Speaker 1: should have had another two sacks in this game. And
- 24:13Speaker 1: the defensive front just absolutely dominant. Jordan Davis specifically, I
- 24:20Speaker 1: love that Daddy has been able to get this defense
- 24:25Speaker 1: where and Daddy is Vic Fangio. That's what I've been
- 24:27Speaker 1: calling him now over these past few weeks. You know,
- 24:30Speaker 1: he's daddy because he's the grown up that is on
- 24:34Speaker 1: this coaching staff right now who is actually making some
- 24:37Speaker 1: sort of difference with personnel on this team. Vic Fangio
- 24:41Speaker 1: is putting this defense in a good position to be
- 24:43Speaker 1: a playoff team. In the playoffs, you need to have
- 24:48Speaker 1: a solid defense. That's what this Eagles team has right now.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But it's been squandered by the offense. So I don't
- 24:53Speaker 1: know if you have any thoughts on the defense before
- 24:55Speaker 1: we go to break, buddy, but I just want to
- 24:57Speaker 1: give the defense their props in this game.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel bad for him. I feel bad for
- 25:02Speaker 2: the defense. You know, even tonight. You know, when you
- 25:08Speaker 2: look at rushing, you know, Hampton had the highest I'm
- 25:14Speaker 2: not going to count Herbert, but in terms of rushers,
- 25:18Speaker 2: he had the highest yards per carry and it was around.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Four four point three.
- 25:23Speaker 2: And that's without Jalen Carter. Like that, that's a big thing.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Great point.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I will never get upset in twenty twenty five at
- 25:35Speaker 2: a defense giving up less than twenty points through four quarters.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I honestly don't think in twenty twenty five, with the
- 25:43Speaker 2: game the way the game is officiated. With the way
- 25:47Speaker 2: the game is moving towards offense, I don't think you
- 25:51Speaker 2: can be upset when the defense gives up nineteen points
- 25:54Speaker 2: or fewer. I'm not upset at the defense last week.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I don't think it was the defense last week that cost.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Them in the game.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I agree, sure they didn't have a great appearance, but
- 26:05Speaker 2: they also kept him out of the end zone a lot.
- 26:08Speaker 2: So I don't with Vic Fangio. You have to do
- 26:14Speaker 2: the trade off, Right, you're gonna give up yards, They're
- 26:17Speaker 2: gonna move the ball. They may get into field goal range,
- 26:20Speaker 2: but they're not really getting in the end zone, right,
- 26:22Speaker 2: And I would rather have that give me a field
- 26:25Speaker 2: goal every day of the week over a touchdown because
- 26:28Speaker 2: it takes three field goals to get more points than
- 26:31Speaker 2: one touchdown.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely, And what this defense did this week as well,
- 26:36Speaker 1: especially the secondary. When you hold lad McConkie to one
- 26:40Speaker 1: catch for twelve yards, he was targeted five times. Lad
- 26:44Speaker 1: McConkie came down with one ball for twelve yards. Keenan
- 26:48Speaker 1: Allen was targeted three times. Yes, it came down with
- 26:50Speaker 1: all three balls, but only for twenty two yards. Trey
- 26:53Speaker 1: Harris only caught one ball for eighteen yards, and Quentin Johnson,
- 26:58Speaker 1: he was targeted three times, came down with two for
- 27:00Speaker 1: eight yards. This defense did their job, and then some tonight,
- 27:05Speaker 1: especially in the passing game, they really did. So why
- 27:09Speaker 1: do we go to break here?
- 27:10Speaker 2: Not not not to my own horn. Oh okay, but
- 27:13Speaker 2: I have Maconkey on my fantasy team, and my fantasy
- 27:16Speaker 2: team has been a disaster this year, and I desperately
- 27:20Speaker 2: needed something from him. Gonna chuck this up, not to Vic,
- 27:25Speaker 2: but to Josh Schuster's fantasy management of fantasy football this year.
- 27:30Speaker 1: There you go, there you go.
- 27:32Speaker 2: You're welcome, Eagles fans. But yeah, it was they did
- 27:38Speaker 2: overall very good job. I don't think you'll see this
- 27:42Speaker 2: kind of sack output again this year. It just involved
- 27:48Speaker 2: both tackles being out and a horrible, horrible interior line play. Yea,
- 27:55Speaker 2: they just happened to be able to get this many sacks.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yep, yep. All right, folks, We are going to take

- 28:32Speaker 1: We're gonna get into the grades really quick, as we
- 28:34Speaker 1: do every week. There's gonna be a lot of f's
- 28:36Speaker 1: on the offensive side of the ball, so we'll be
- 28:39Speaker 1: back in just a bit. All right, We are back
- 28:43Speaker 1: here with my good buddy Joshchuster from Philadelphia soccernow dot
- 28:47Speaker 1: com filling in for the guys here again as the
- 28:50Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles lose this game to the Los Angeles Chargers
- 28:54Speaker 1: by a score of twenty two to nineteen. Grading. Jalen
- 28:59Speaker 1: Hurts grating on the offense as we always do. To start,
- 29:01Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts gets an F for me twenty one to
- 29:04Speaker 1: forty forty yards. He averaged six point six yards per
- 29:09Speaker 1: attempt for interceptions. He ended with a rating of thirty
- 29:12Speaker 1: one point two, probably one of his worst games that
- 29:15Speaker 1: he's ever played in an Eagles uniform. He gets an F.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I would imagine you're giving him an F as well, josh.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Oh, Jeff, Jeff, I saw your text message that instead
- 29:24Speaker 2: of breaking down the offensive grades, you want to break
- 29:26Speaker 2: down the first four episodes of Stranger Things, So I
- 29:29Speaker 2: figured you should spend time talking about that.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I haven't seen it yet.
- 29:34Speaker 2: All right, Well that still may it be more productive
- 29:38Speaker 2: than the Eagles offense.
- 29:39Speaker 1: That's true, that's true.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Jalen Hurts gets an F and I do a
- 29:46Speaker 2: lot to defend him. Tonight was just I I I
- 29:52Speaker 2: don't even have words, e F F.
- 29:55Speaker 1: All right, let's do. Let's go to the running back
- 29:57Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley average, like you mentioned earlier, six point one
- 30:01Speaker 1: yards per carry on twenty carries, one hundred twenty two yards.
- 30:04Speaker 1: This was the Saquon Barkley that we have come to
- 30:07Speaker 1: know for the most part. I mean, there were times
- 30:10Speaker 1: when he was stopped behind the line of scrimmage again
- 30:12Speaker 1: because that interior of the offensive line just not having
- 30:15Speaker 1: a good season here in terms of the rush blocking.
- 30:19Speaker 1: So I'm actually I'm gonna give Saquon Barkley this week
- 30:22Speaker 1: a B. What do you give him?
- 30:24Speaker 2: He gets an A?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Okay, Jeff, there's only one play you know what he does.
- 30:28Speaker 2: He gets an offense that gets an A.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yeah, like A J.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Brown had four drops tonight.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yep.
- 30:34Speaker 2: You know DeVante Smith wasn't around tonight, and that's not
- 30:37Speaker 2: through his own doing. He was wide open plenty. Yepquon
- 30:42Speaker 2: gets an A.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Okay, you're absolutely right. He absolutely gets an A. I'm
- 30:46Speaker 1: thinking too much of the offensive line on that one.
- 30:48Speaker 1: He absolutely gets an A. Moving to the receivers, though,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna give the receivers tonight a C plus. Actually
- 30:54Speaker 1: you mentioned all those drops. But I do wonder, Josh,
- 30:59Speaker 1: I do want under if it's more the scheming, because
- 31:03Speaker 1: they're not scheming. These guys open either. No, they are open, well,
- 31:06Speaker 1: some of them are, some of them are, some of
- 31:08Speaker 1: them are. It depends on the play.
- 31:10Speaker 2: There is an open wide receiver every single play, just
- 31:13Speaker 2: about and watch. Yes, there is an open wide receiver
- 31:16Speaker 2: every single play. So what that means to me is
- 31:20Speaker 2: like it's talked about, and I'm talking about former NFL players.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I'm not talking about some guy that calls in and says,
- 31:27Speaker 2: I watch the All twenty two. I don't believe that
- 31:30Speaker 2: you watch that, But I believe former players. If they're
- 31:33Speaker 2: talking about how open. Players are I'm leaning more towards
- 31:37Speaker 2: we have a quarterback problem than we have an offensive
- 31:41Speaker 2: coordinator problem. Yeah, the players are being schemed open. I
- 31:46Speaker 2: just I don't we talk about the receivers. I'm going
- 31:51Speaker 2: to again go to the first play of the game.
- 31:54Speaker 2: AJ Brown going down the field. That is not his strength.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Send him over the middle, send him into contested play catches.
- 32:03Speaker 2: He's great that way. Why are we sending him deep
- 32:06Speaker 2: down the field on first down the first play of
- 32:09Speaker 2: the game. If you want to do it, Davonte Smith,
- 32:14Speaker 2: yeah yeah, Don Dotson yeah yeah.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Well what do you give that? What do you give
- 32:19Speaker 1: the receivers? I was gonna go with C plus and
- 32:21Speaker 1: a lot of them is because of those drops, key
- 32:23Speaker 1: drops and key situations, specifically by A. J. Brown. What
- 32:27Speaker 1: are you going to give the receivers.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna give A J.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Brown.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I don't care that he got one hundred yards. He
- 32:33Speaker 2: gets a D minus from me. Everyone else gets a B.
- 32:36Speaker 2: I mean, like Goddard came up with very clutch throws tonight, right,
- 32:41Speaker 2: very clutch catches tonight, Like I I need to separate
- 32:47Speaker 2: AJ Brown from the rest of the receiving core. AJ
- 32:50Speaker 2: Brown at this point. He just wants his stats.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 32:55Speaker 2: The rest of the receiving corps did a good.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Job, okay, all right, Uh the offensive line really good,
- 33:02Speaker 1: really pretty good in past protection quite frankly, run blocking
- 33:06Speaker 1: absolutely like I just didn't think they were fantastic and
- 33:09Speaker 1: run blocking again, I think we'll yeah, Jeff, yeah, Jeff?
- 33:14Speaker 2: What yards of carry? I think they did okay tonight
- 33:19Speaker 2: in terms of run blocking, it was better comparison.
- 33:22Speaker 1: It was better, It was better. I'm still going with
- 33:25Speaker 1: a C. I'm actually going with a C. What do
- 33:27Speaker 1: you give him?
- 33:29Speaker 2: You gotta give him at least the B plus we
- 33:31Speaker 2: have we have and not to mention, yeah, Cam, Jurgen's
- 33:35Speaker 2: going out again. I'm moving it to an A minus
- 33:38Speaker 2: like I, oh, you have your primary running back going
- 33:43Speaker 2: over one hundred and twenty yards over six yards of carry.
- 33:48Speaker 1: They did fine. I am attributing that to Saquon himself.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I really am, I really am, because he was able
- 33:55Speaker 1: to see those gaps, he was able to use his
- 33:59Speaker 1: vision more than he was able to utilize the blockers
- 34:02Speaker 1: with regard except for the fifty if what was it
- 34:05Speaker 1: fifty two yard? Or was that? Is that? What it was?
- 34:07Speaker 1: Is that? What it was fifty two yard touchdown. He
- 34:10Speaker 1: was able to utilize his blockers there the rest of
- 34:13Speaker 1: the game. There are plenty of.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Holes that were open for him, more so than previous weeks.
- 34:20Speaker 1: I gotta go back and here here's where, Yes.
- 34:23Speaker 2: We can't be super critical on them, okay and then
- 34:27Speaker 2: not give them their flowers when they had a good game. Okay,
- 34:31Speaker 2: So like it's got to be one or the other.
- 34:34Speaker 2: It can't be both.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Okay, Okay, I think that's fair. I'm
- 34:39Speaker 1: gonna keep my seat, I'm gonna keep my sea. I
- 34:41Speaker 1: thought it was an average showing you're wrong. I'm wrong.
- 34:44Speaker 2: All right.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Let's move over to the defensive line. They're they're gonna
- 34:48Speaker 1: get an A plus for me this week. What do
- 34:50Speaker 1: you give them?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean, you know, we talk about all the
- 34:53Speaker 2: injuries and just how terrible the Chargers offensive line is.
- 34:58Speaker 2: But if you don't take advantage of it, doesn't mean
- 35:01Speaker 2: anything to get an A plus from me. They took
- 35:03Speaker 2: advantage of it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Same with the linebackers. I mean, the linebackers they're getting
- 35:07Speaker 1: a plus as well. You would say the same. Yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 1: all right.
- 35:11Speaker 2: The one thing is that I'll add and I agree
- 35:14Speaker 2: with the grade. I'm not changing the grade. Zach Bond
- 35:18Speaker 2: has not been mentioned as much as I would like
- 35:22Speaker 2: him to be, okay, considering that he was one of
- 35:25Speaker 2: the financial commitments. And again, Jeff, I'm very consistent with this,
- 35:29Speaker 2: Like I'm very hard on the offense, that's where all
- 35:32Speaker 2: the financial commitments are. On the defense, Zach Bond is
- 35:38Speaker 2: their financial commitment. I need I need a little more.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Something I want to mention as well, which you
- 35:45Speaker 1: mentioned over in a text message to me, the lack
- 35:48Speaker 1: of seeing Jihad Campbell out there. Yes, Johad Campbell is
- 35:52Speaker 1: is like nowhere since Nakobe Dean has come back. Not
- 35:55Speaker 1: sure and understand I don't understand why Vic Fangio is
- 35:58Speaker 1: not bringing him out there more. Maybe trying to implement
- 36:01Speaker 1: him in the pass rush a little bit more. You
- 36:04Speaker 1: made a good point over text message with that with me,
- 36:07Speaker 1: and I was like, you know what, this past draft
- 36:10Speaker 1: class really has not shown up this year at all.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I mean, Campbell was playing when Nakobe Dean was out, but.
- 36:16Speaker 2: We didn't good yeah and injured yep, right, yep.
- 36:20Speaker 1: So like.
- 36:24Speaker 2: First round draft pick on a special teams player and
- 36:28Speaker 2: it's not like they have this tremendous pass rush outside
- 36:32Speaker 2: of this week, right, I'm really struggling as to why
- 36:36Speaker 2: we're playing and I like BG, don't get me wrong,
- 36:39Speaker 2: but he should be a rotation guy. Yeah, he's going
- 36:42Speaker 2: to be a regular and really Jahad Campbell needs to
- 36:45Speaker 2: be on the end and he needs to figure it out. Yeah,
- 36:50Speaker 2: it's just it's bizarre.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, hope hopefully they will these next few weeks here
- 36:54Speaker 1: as this season comes to a conclusion for this team.
- 36:57Speaker 2: So thank god.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yes. Anyway, the secondary, I'm gonna give the secondary an
- 37:02Speaker 1: A plus this week as well. Actually, I thought they
- 37:04Speaker 1: did fantastic. What are your thoughts?
- 37:07Speaker 2: Uh, I would I'll give him an A okay, I'm
- 37:13Speaker 2: not gonna go eight plus.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I'll give him an A okay. I thought it was
- 37:18Speaker 1: their best game of the season, to be honest, I
- 37:20Speaker 1: really did, in terms of the talent that was on
- 37:23Speaker 1: the offensive side, with those with the receivers that you
- 37:26Speaker 1: have again with lad McConkie Keenan Allen keeping them under
- 37:32Speaker 1: under I mean under one hundred yards, you know, like
- 37:37Speaker 1: basically it was one hundred and thirty nine total receiving yards,
- 37:40Speaker 1: which is not considering that da Vidal Vidal Vidaal had
- 37:47Speaker 1: a sixty yarder. You know, I thought it was pretty
- 37:50Speaker 1: impressive from the secondary.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I think part of it for me is the Chargers
- 37:56Speaker 2: offensive line was so horrible. Justin her Herbert had served
- 38:00Speaker 2: on Monday. The guy, I just I didn't expect great
- 38:04Speaker 2: things from them. I I don't know, I feel I'll
- 38:12Speaker 2: give him an a.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Okay, are sounds good? All right, Let's get to the coaching.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Let's get first two special teams and our thoughts here.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Jake Elliott nailing a forty one yarder than a forty
- 38:23Speaker 1: six yarder he missed from forty eight yards and uh. Overall,
- 38:30Speaker 1: Bradon Man averaged fifty one point seven yards on three
- 38:34Speaker 1: punts in this game. A phrase that I never thought
- 38:37Speaker 1: that I would actually say is that I and I
- 38:41Speaker 1: can't believe I'm going to say this sentence right now.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Britain Covey should have been returning punts for this Eagles
- 38:46Speaker 1: team all freaking season. There it is, my goodness. I mean,
- 38:52Speaker 1: he was a spark in this game that was needed.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I mean, the spark fizzled out, of course because the
- 38:58Speaker 1: offense was coming onto the field, But my goodness, Britain
- 39:02Speaker 1: Covey with with with with an incredible return game. He
- 39:07Speaker 1: was averaging on his punt returns eighteen yards per punt
- 39:11Speaker 1: return on three punt returns. His kick returns, he was
- 39:15Speaker 1: averaging twenty five point eight yards. You know, probably average there,
- 39:20Speaker 1: but man, I'm gonna have his special teams this week
- 39:22Speaker 1: could be what do you give them?
- 39:24Speaker 2: Well, I think it's two different greates. Okay, we're talking
- 39:27Speaker 2: about the players. They get an A. The coaching staff
- 39:30Speaker 2: for special teams gets anth. Okay, I don't know why
- 39:33Speaker 2: Covey has not been playing. I mean, we've gone through
- 39:36Speaker 2: a number of players at this point, yeah, who have
- 39:38Speaker 2: not been good. And I mean, I know Covey had
- 39:42Speaker 2: a rough start here in Philly, but last year he
- 39:44Speaker 2: was great.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Like, I don't I don't.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Understand why he was not playing and returning kicks before now.
- 39:51Speaker 1: I just it's battling, absolutely baffling.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Yep, yep, and it's almost borderline criminal.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:00Speaker 2: So I think the players get an A. The coaching staff,
- 40:04Speaker 2: considering it took until December eighth for them to figure
- 40:08Speaker 2: out that the best returner from last year should get
- 40:12Speaker 2: another run this year, they get an f.
- 40:14Speaker 1: All right, Vic Fangio and the defensive coaching giving them
- 40:19Speaker 1: a straight up A. Here, what do you give him?
- 40:21Speaker 2: Yep, hey, I don't think we need I actually give
- 40:24Speaker 2: him an A plus. They were on the field longer
- 40:27Speaker 2: than the offense was by the end of the game,
- 40:30Speaker 2: and they it took overtime for the Chargers to hit
- 40:35Speaker 2: three scores.
- 40:36Speaker 1: All right, yeah, let's let's move to the defense. I
- 40:40Speaker 1: mean move to the offense. Sorry, I just I just
- 40:42Speaker 1: don't want to talk about the offense. That's what I
- 40:44Speaker 1: just said. Let's keep on the defense here. Offense. Obviously,
- 40:48Speaker 1: I think it's safe to say an F for coaching
- 40:51Speaker 1: this week. F do you give him an F?
- 40:54Speaker 2: I give him a Z.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 2: All we heard this week was that Nick Siriani is
- 41:00Speaker 2: is getting involved. All we heard about was how the
- 41:03Speaker 2: vibes are different on the offensive side of the ball,
- 41:06Speaker 2: and then you come out and you give this is
- 41:08Speaker 2: just it's inexcusable. And it's not like the Chargers have
- 41:12Speaker 2: a great defense like I don't we're now following this
- 41:16Speaker 2: is three straight weeks of them facing a bottom third
- 41:20Speaker 2: defense in the NFL and not being able to put
- 41:23Speaker 2: up points. I don't this this is they aren't facing
- 41:27Speaker 2: playoff defenses. This is not good. The Cowboys, the Chargers
- 41:32Speaker 2: and the Bears do not have good defenses and they
- 41:35Speaker 2: cannot score points. The one refreshing thing that I will
- 41:40Speaker 2: say from tonight involving the offense is they didn't go
- 41:44Speaker 2: three and out a ton They gave you hope. It's
- 41:47Speaker 2: the hope that kills you. To quote, I forget, I
- 41:55Speaker 2: forget the show anyway, the hope that kills you, and
- 41:59Speaker 2: they that tonight and just just horrible. It will, however,
- 42:07Speaker 2: be a fun week of sports talk.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I do think it definitely will be. It really will
- 42:12Speaker 1: be with a lot of the with those cast of
- 42:14Speaker 1: characters at that WIP place down there. So yep, all right,
- 42:19Speaker 1: that's gonna do it for us folks again. The Philadelphia
- 42:21Speaker 1: Eagles losing Week fourteen here against the Los Angeles Chargers
- 42:25Speaker 1: by a score of twenty two to nineteen out at
- 42:28Speaker 1: SOFI Stadium in Los Angeles. My good friend Josh Schuster
- 42:32Speaker 1: from Philadelphia soccernow dot com. Buddy, thanks so much for
