- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The rex was
- 0:06Speaker 2: not chasing the jeep. Murray Murry, you there. You love sandwiches. Huh,
- 0:11Speaker 2: let's go to eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It was bo wow that Prime time. Maybe I had
- 0:18Speaker 1: a crush on Betty Rubbell. I honestly, until after the
- 0:21Speaker 1: segment ended and we went to commercial break, had no
- 0:23Speaker 1: idea that Jonathan Coachman was black. He caught them the
- 0:26Speaker 1: game last night, although they won the game. You're listening
- 0:30Speaker 1: to ste Gotson Company. Team Bob is with us on
- 0:33Speaker 1: Stewgotts and Company. You can check them out. Wake Up
- 0:35Speaker 1: Barstool Monday through Friday, eight to ten am Eastern. We
- 0:40Speaker 1: have three sports radio segments for tea Bob coming up
- 0:43Speaker 1: in just a second here. I'm certain he is very
- 0:45Speaker 1: excited for those. You could choose one of the three,
- 0:48Speaker 1: two of the three, or all three of them. We
- 0:50Speaker 1: are down to play all three if you'd like.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Okay, okay, wait, wait, so okay, so just so what's up, guys?
- 0:55Speaker 3: I love you, guys, Thank you for having me back.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Okay, sow pleasant trees. Look at that that was quick.
- 0:59Speaker 4: That was quick.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Well, you know, let's get let's get straight to the well.
- 1:02Speaker 5: I was gonna say, straight to the.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Copulating, but are we on radio?
- 1:07Speaker 5: Are we doing a podcasts's get straight to the set. Okay, okay,
- 1:11Speaker 5: let's just straight to the fucking then. Okay, that's what
- 1:13Speaker 5: I was just worrying. So we're doing radio segments, four podcasts.
- 1:15Speaker 3: You know I love radio and backgrounds of radio. Let's
- 1:18Speaker 3: fucking do it.
- 1:19Speaker 5: I want all three, get about one, talking about one?
- 1:23Speaker 3: I won all three.
- 1:24Speaker 4: All right, you're gonna get all three? Go ahead, Mikey.
- 1:27Speaker 6: For the record, Taylor did text us earlier and say, hey,
- 1:31Speaker 6: if we don't curse, we could use this on radio.
- 1:34Speaker 3: And then you just threw that right out.
- 1:35Speaker 1: The damn it.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Let's run.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Asking know we have beeps, we could beep it out,
- 1:44Speaker 1: we could edit, we could just play the games like
- 1:46Speaker 1: we're fine.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I think we're fine, Taylor, Are we fine?
- 1:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Are we fine? We're fine?
- 1:50Speaker 3: I think I'll keep it clean. I'll keep it clean.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I know this game. I don't have to exist in
- 1:54Speaker 3: a way.
- 1:56Speaker 1: The one they're worried about is me. I think I
- 2:00Speaker 1: dropped the first curse. You were trying to do it correctly.
- 2:03Speaker 1: The wind they wanted you to do it.
- 2:05Speaker 4: And I just hammered it and said, you know, fucking
- 2:07Speaker 4: sex or.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Something like that. Well, I just did it again, Jesus
- 2:10Speaker 3: I am.
- 2:12Speaker 5: I'm still excited for the day when you all come
- 2:14Speaker 5: to Chicago and we do a true radio show together,
- 2:18Speaker 5: live on the radio where my heart truly lies, not
- 2:22Speaker 5: in this.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Television and internet bullshit that surrounds us everywhere nowadays.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Well, it feels antiseptic to you doing it that way,
- 2:32Speaker 1: because no.
- 2:34Speaker 3: There's just something.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I think it's because I grew up loving radio and
- 2:39Speaker 5: the relationship that you have with your favorite radio hosts
- 2:42Speaker 5: and what that feels like. It's just different. It's just different, man.
- 2:44Speaker 5: It's different than podcasting. It's different than TV, which are
- 2:47Speaker 5: both great and all serious. Just like I love this job,
- 2:49Speaker 5: very thinkable, this job. But radio is radios, well, radios
- 2:52Speaker 5: where I cut my teeth. It will always be where
- 2:54Speaker 5: my heart lies.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yes, that was a kicksaveing a butte right there, saying
- 2:57Speaker 1: you loved your job, you love where.
- 2:58Speaker 4: You're at, and I know you love it there. That
- 3:01Speaker 4: place is a play that it's unbelievable.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It's sound.
- 3:04Speaker 5: You know.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We taught to Salacano all the time and he says
- 3:06Speaker 1: live radio makes him feel a lot. That's what it
- 3:08Speaker 1: makes him feel like.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Next door, right now, we have two human beings that
- 3:13Speaker 5: are locked inside of a room that they've been standing
- 3:18Speaker 5: holding the same golf cart for coming up, I think
- 3:21Speaker 5: on forty eight hours.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Really, there's it's, it's it's like, it's, it's, it's whatever.
- 3:26Speaker 3: It's it's a weird place to work. It's awesome. There's
- 3:28Speaker 3: always crazy shit going on. Anyway, let's do some radio segments. Boys.
- 3:32Speaker 7: I am excited.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I am shocked. Bigcat is holding up a car right now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I mean, that's it's amazing. Anyway, Uh, tea Bob. Before
- 3:40Speaker 1: we get to the games. Okay, yes, your thoughts here?
- 3:43Speaker 1: The coaches are pitching an expanded college football playoff.
- 3:46Speaker 4: What are your thoughts here?
- 3:48Speaker 5: So okay, so I'll just go ahead, and this was
- 3:53Speaker 5: kind of going to be the basis for one of
- 3:56Speaker 5: my one of the games that we're gonna do, because
- 3:58Speaker 5: my thoughts are this, everything I just so everything's just
- 4:05Speaker 5: like just slow down. And I don't even mean I
- 4:09Speaker 5: don't even mean like college football specifically, but like like
- 4:14Speaker 5: the college basketball term and the announce what is it's
- 4:16Speaker 5: seventy two teams, seventy six teams.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Now, yes, they want to get rid of conference championships.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Are gonna have twenty four teams in the college Football Playoff.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Now they're releasing files on UFOs to cover up the
- 4:30Speaker 5: fact that we're an a war, to cover up the
- 4:31Speaker 5: fact that there's billionaire pedophile rings being exposed.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Like like, like, I have no idea.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Like every day AI's making new breakthroughs where videos are easy.
- 4:42Speaker 3: To create, they can do anything, Audios either create through
- 4:44Speaker 3: the images. Everything just slow the fuck down. Yep.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I don't know how to parse anything. I don't know
- 4:49Speaker 5: what's real or what's not real.
- 4:51Speaker 3: And everything's moving so fast and like and and and
- 4:56Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 4:57Speaker 5: That this is something that everybody who's gotten older goes through, right,
- 5:00Speaker 5: that every generation has ever felt.
- 5:02Speaker 3: But Dan Carlin has that wonderful quote.
- 5:04Speaker 5: When he's in his World War two series about the Japanese,
- 5:07Speaker 5: and he says, they're just like everybody else, only more so. Yes,
- 5:10Speaker 5: And I can't help, but wonder, I mean, surely these
- 5:13Speaker 5: times are more so? Yeah, I mean the iPhone just
- 5:16Speaker 5: came out in two thousand and seven, and look at
- 5:19Speaker 5: where we are now here Like eighteen years later. It
- 5:22Speaker 5: just I feel so overwhelmed by the news cycle twenty
- 5:27Speaker 5: four to seven and a sandwich that used to cost
- 5:30Speaker 5: five dollars cost twenty dollars. I'm pump pumping gas and
- 5:32Speaker 5: five dollars of fucking pop.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Like I I nothing, it just none of that makes sense,
- 5:37Speaker 3: none of it.
- 5:37Speaker 7: It just needs to slow. It's just chill out.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Just pump the brakes for a little bit, guys, and
- 5:45Speaker 5: just enjoy where we're at. Let's be present, yes, be present?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Yeah the pole? Hey, everyone slow down? Yes or no?
- 5:54Speaker 5: Just pumped the tap the brakes, pumped them even and
- 5:56Speaker 5: then the balls, well, hey everyone tap the brakes. Like,
- 6:01Speaker 5: I need a documentary made and this will you can
- 6:05Speaker 5: probably only do this with a benefit of hindsight, but like,
- 6:07Speaker 5: there is some sort of sociological documentary to be made
- 6:11Speaker 5: about power dynamics and the power vacuum that was created
- 6:16Speaker 5: by an old and stagnant and decrepit n cuaa uh
- 6:22Speaker 5: and and then the people who filled that vacuum, the lawyers,
- 6:25Speaker 5: the agents, the TV executives, the revenue and and and
- 6:29Speaker 5: them taking control of what was the second largest sport
- 6:34Speaker 5: in America in college football, and then probably the largest
- 6:37Speaker 5: single event in the NCAA basketball tournament. I mean, it
- 6:40Speaker 5: is it is insane that you have something like college football,
- 6:46Speaker 5: which again the second biggest sport in the NFL, most money,
- 6:48Speaker 5: most eyeballs, all this sort of stuff, and there is
- 6:51Speaker 5: just no leadership whatsoever. There's no governing body, there's no
- 6:55Speaker 5: central anything. And what it's led to.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Is the the just just just just madness and chaos.
- 7:02Speaker 7: And I've been with it.
- 7:03Speaker 5: I've been with it, but I'm overwhelmed and I feel
- 7:04Speaker 5: like a leaf on the historical win.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I have no agency, so fuck it. I'm just along
- 7:09Speaker 3: for the ride because.
- 7:10Speaker 5: You know what, at the end of the day, you
- 7:11Speaker 5: get what you asked for.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And I'm a dumb piece of shit. And I'm gonna
- 7:14Speaker 3: watch the games anyway.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I'm gonna watch the twenty fourteen playoff. I'm gonna bitch
- 7:19Speaker 5: about the conference championships.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I'll be there, but I'll still watch it.
- 7:22Speaker 5: It is what they win in the end, anyway. They
- 7:23Speaker 5: have my eyesballs, they're monetize.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It's all over.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he just cursed twice, guys.
- 7:27Speaker 4: I mean that wasn't me.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I mean yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:31Speaker 4: But your overall point is a good one.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Hey, fucking slow it down, man, everyone, I mean Jesus, Like, like.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Who is asking for a twenty four team playoff? I
- 7:39Speaker 5: nobody amongst the fan, the common man. Nobody wants it, right,
- 7:44Speaker 5: nobody wanted expanded INTAA tournament.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just the money and interest that wanted.
- 7:48Speaker 5: It's coaches who want more job security. All these SEC
- 7:51Speaker 5: coaches going around complain and I went in and voted
- 7:55Speaker 5: for comfort.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I winned and voted for a nine game schedule.
- 7:58Speaker 5: If if I knew that we weren't, can immediately get
- 8:00Speaker 5: the playoffs.
- 8:01Speaker 7: Shut up, Shut up.
- 8:05Speaker 8: You get paid millions of dollars to win seven games
- 8:10Speaker 8: a year, and then when you get fired, you get
- 8:13Speaker 8: paid millions of dollars to not work.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Shut up at work.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I feel no one's asking for it.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I feel like Lincoln Riley is the one pitching it though,
- 8:23Speaker 1: Like what the coaches who are always on the fringe
- 8:26Speaker 1: of making the playoff are the guys who are now pitching.
- 8:28Speaker 1: If Brian Kelly we're still coaching, he'd be pitching it.
- 8:31Speaker 5: It's like okay, It's like okay, great. I want to
- 8:34Speaker 5: see everything about the say, like everything with the sports
- 8:36Speaker 5: that I grew uple me. I want to see it
- 8:38Speaker 5: all change, said Eli Drink, which can make a playoff.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And lose in the first round, And I like drink.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Drink's a cool dude.
- 8:46Speaker 5: But nobody wants this except for coaches that want to
- 8:49Speaker 5: have job security by saying, well, we make the playoff,
- 8:51Speaker 5: and schools that want to make more money by beating
- 8:54Speaker 5: these these revenue do some playoff gas, and people that
- 8:56Speaker 5: want to make more money selling more ads. It's yeah, no, no,
- 8:59Speaker 5: like the and in a very real way, in a
- 9:04Speaker 5: very real way, it is a depressing reflection of our
- 9:10Speaker 5: entire society as a whole.
- 9:12Speaker 3: When it comes to politics.
- 9:14Speaker 5: One of the things that I read that most broke
- 9:16Speaker 5: me back in the day. I think it was like
- 9:18Speaker 5: a twenty sixteen Princeton study and they looked at the
- 9:22Speaker 5: chances that a bill had to pass based on democratic support,
- 9:29Speaker 5: like the will of the people, right, I mean more favor,
- 9:31Speaker 5: how many against? And then what were the chances they
- 9:33Speaker 5: did then pass or fail? And then they took that
- 9:36Speaker 5: and they put it up against Okay, well, what are
- 9:38Speaker 5: the chances of bill has based on special interests lobbyist groups,
- 9:42Speaker 5: you know, like the moneyed interests, and what they basically
- 9:44Speaker 5: found was that the will of people was wholly irrelevant
- 9:48Speaker 5: and that the only thing that actually mattered.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Is what the special interest groups wanted.
- 9:52Speaker 5: In that same way, in college sports, the will of
- 9:55Speaker 5: the people wholly irrelevant.
- 9:57Speaker 3: The only thing.
- 9:58Speaker 5: That matters are the money interests and making more money,
- 10:02Speaker 5: and and and I wonder is there ever a price that.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Will be too high?
- 10:07Speaker 5: Like, like, is is there ever a time in which
- 10:12Speaker 5: you do cross the rubicon and viewership goes down?
- 10:16Speaker 3: People get fed up, people.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Get sick of it because so much of this and
- 10:19Speaker 5: you see this all the time in corporate.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Policy as well.
- 10:22Speaker 5: You sacrifice uh, long term kind of customer values, the
- 10:28Speaker 5: things the customer originally like, short term dividends and short term.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Gains, and it cats up to you, like, look at Disney.
- 10:36Speaker 3: They've been struggling to for this. They reason they're trying
- 10:38Speaker 3: to doll something exact, they're trying to make some changes.
- 10:39Speaker 5: But that's when and it's not just dizzy, it's it's
- 10:41Speaker 5: it's it's it's corporations.
- 10:43Speaker 4: All happens all the time.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Chipotle.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Like whoever you want to highlight, right, Uh, And and
- 10:48Speaker 5: my question is, will college sports eventually have to pay
- 10:51Speaker 5: the piper, or in this day and age where live
- 10:55Speaker 5: sports is the last bastion of humanity that we have,
- 10:59Speaker 5: where where we act appreciate the people being involved as
- 11:01Speaker 5: being real people and real human pain and trap, well,
- 11:04Speaker 5: they just continue to succeed because it's really all we got.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know, but I am excited
- 11:09Speaker 3: to coach my daughter's soccer game on.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Oh Wow, money to watch you coach your daughter's soccer game,
- 11:15Speaker 1: I would, yes, money.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Where I feel overwhelmed. That's what I focus on. Bring
- 11:21Speaker 3: this kind of intensity, bring this kind of intensity.
- 11:24Speaker 4: The sideline, this kind of passion. Yes, I mean, you
- 11:26Speaker 4: won't win a fucking champion.
- 11:28Speaker 7: Charls, do we even give a damn?
- 11:30Speaker 5: They're like, we're six, We're named the Shakira Strikers name.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Who came up with that name?
- 11:39Speaker 5: The girls did, apparently, so I didn't realize this. So
- 11:42Speaker 5: if you have young kids, you probably have seen The
- 11:44Speaker 5: Utopias and the pop star in Zutopia is played by Shakira,
- 11:49Speaker 5: and I was shocked to learn. I think Shakira is
- 11:52Speaker 5: like a top ten most streamed artist in the world
- 11:54Speaker 5: on Spotify.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Wow. I was not shocked.
- 11:57Speaker 1: If that's if that's the case, I am not shocked
- 11:59Speaker 1: by that, I.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Guess because you know, from the American culture though, we
- 12:01Speaker 5: just think about like hips don't Lie and some of
- 12:03Speaker 5: the hitch you have back then. But obviously she's huge
- 12:05Speaker 5: in Latin America's utopia is massive. And this is a crazy.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Thing about Spotify. I don't seen by the other day.
- 12:10Speaker 5: You're not just competing with your contemporaries like on a
- 12:14Speaker 5: Billboard Top one hundred, You're competing with the literal entire
- 12:18Speaker 5: history of music.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Like like Shakira.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Is going toe to toe with Bach and coming out
- 12:24Speaker 5: on top. Shout out to shout out to anybody who
- 12:27Speaker 5: can break through to the top Spotify.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Because like because like Michael didn't.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Have to really compete with Wilt. Yeah, bro, like we
- 12:34Speaker 5: we talk about it, but they didn't have.
- 12:35Speaker 3: To music it. We got to It's impressive.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yes, we have figured out a way.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Generation Shakra is giving back his First.
- 12:43Speaker 9: Of all, what about the Madonna midfielders?
- 12:48Speaker 5: H Uh yeah, you want me to go tell these
- 12:51Speaker 5: six and seven year olds, Hey, what about Madonna? This
- 12:55Speaker 5: isn't Spotify. They don't know who the fuck Madonna is.
- 12:59Speaker 4: A defenders, Yes.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that might work actually do a leave of defenders
- 13:04Speaker 3: will probably work.
- 13:05Speaker 6: In our town because we're in Connecticut, between Boston and
- 13:08Speaker 6: New York. No team on Littlely can be the Yankees,
- 13:11Speaker 6: and no team could be the Red Sox because just
- 13:13Speaker 6: everybody would either have to be on that team or
- 13:15Speaker 6: can't be on that team. I imagine for you guys,
- 13:18Speaker 6: nobody can be Taylor Swift.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I would look everybody. Everybody would want
- 13:24Speaker 5: to be a Swifty if that were the case. That's
- 13:26Speaker 5: a spot on assessment.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Yes, I'm glad that you're coaching soccer. That delights me,
- 13:32Speaker 1: quality time with your daughter, a teacher, teacher, some great
- 13:36Speaker 1: sportsman him. But it leads us perfectly into one of
- 13:39Speaker 1: our three games. I'm gonna let you choose here. Okay,
- 13:42Speaker 1: we have Taylor fixes American sports with something he learned
- 13:45Speaker 1: from soccer. Okay, okay, we have a game called do
- 13:49Speaker 1: Me a Favor, and we have a new game called
- 13:52Speaker 1: one Table, which one would t Bob like to play?
- 13:55Speaker 4: First?
- 13:55Speaker 3: Here, let's start with the new one. Let's start with
- 13:58Speaker 3: one table.
- 13:58Speaker 1: First, all right? So one table tailing choice? Yes, amazing,
- 14:02Speaker 1: very bold. Do we have imaging for this tailor?
- 14:05Speaker 4: One table?
- 14:06Speaker 9: We do have new imaging. And here it is, right here.
- 14:09Speaker 2: There's one table left at the hottest spot in town,
- 14:13Speaker 2: and everybody wants it.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Who's getting it and who's getting left?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Outside greatness gets seated, everyone else waits.
- 14:24Speaker 1: This is one table. We started this yesterday. It delights
- 14:31Speaker 1: me that today we have fucking imaging. What amazing imaging
- 14:35Speaker 1: that is? But who did that?
- 14:37Speaker 9: Fox Sports?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Oh wow, fantastic work. Yes the Fox crew. Yes, so
- 14:44Speaker 1: hopefully the imaging. Well did the imaging explain it correctly
- 14:47Speaker 1: to you? Do you understand the game?
- 14:48Speaker 4: Ta Bob?
- 14:49Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely absolutely so how we got to it, Ta Bob?
- 14:52Speaker 9: Was yesterday?
- 14:54Speaker 10: If there was one table at a New York restaurant,
- 14:57Speaker 10: Jalen Brunton or Aaron Judge, they both walk in.
- 15:00Speaker 9: Who gets the table?
- 15:02Speaker 3: Right now?
- 15:03Speaker 5: I'm just gonna go with postseason like like Sue Gott knows,
- 15:07Speaker 5: She's success is everything. Judge is awesome. Jalen Brunton is
- 15:12Speaker 5: a man about town right now. Brunton's getting my.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Seat, all right?
- 15:16Speaker 1: So New Orleans, Okay, popular restaurant. Very crowded in this restaurant,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, yeah, very great. It's bustling. Jesus Christ.
- 15:25Speaker 1: So there's one table left. Yeah, Rees and his family
- 15:29Speaker 1: walk in, and Archie Manning and his family walks in.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And it dawned on me.
- 15:34Speaker 1: That Archie Manning's family could include Eli, could include Peyton.
- 15:39Speaker 4: This might be unfair.
- 15:40Speaker 3: I was gonna say, just make it the one, make
- 15:42Speaker 3: it No.
- 15:43Speaker 5: No, I actually I actually don't think it is unfair.
- 15:45Speaker 5: I say, bring the whole Manning sweet And I think
- 15:47Speaker 5: it's still more of a competition than you realize.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Wow, that's out.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Wow because think about it, because think about it, look
- 15:53Speaker 5: and and and in many ways, Peyton Eli beloved sons
- 16:00Speaker 5: of Louisiana, but and Archie Saints, Yeah, loves on Louisiana.
- 16:07Speaker 5: But Peyton went to Tennessee. Archie and Eliral miss legends.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Arch is doing into Texas. Peyton played for the Colts
- 16:16Speaker 5: and the Broncos. Eli's a Giants guy. YEA. New Orleans
- 16:20Speaker 5: is a town that solely exists for the New Orleans Saints. Yes,
- 16:26Speaker 5: you would be hard pressed to find a city in America.
- 16:29Speaker 5: And everybody's walking to challenge me on this, because everybody
- 16:31Speaker 5: loves their scene. But like whether it's Buffalo, maybe like
- 16:34Speaker 5: New Orleans or Saints through and through Saints success is
- 16:37Speaker 5: above all, and Drew Brees led you to fifteen years
- 16:40Speaker 5: of a golden era that you hope you could maybe
- 16:44Speaker 5: be kick started some shade up with Tyler Shuck.
- 16:47Speaker 3: But no, I think Breeze gets the table. Dude, all right, what.
- 16:51Speaker 1: If walks in at the same time as Sean Payton
- 16:56Speaker 1: or Greeson or how about Lisa?
- 17:00Speaker 5: Well, no, I I think Look, I think I think
- 17:06Speaker 5: it would be Breeze still over Peyton because we love
- 17:10Speaker 5: Sean and we're thankful. But Sean straight up said fuck it,
- 17:15Speaker 5: I'm out, Like he fake retired for a year so
- 17:18Speaker 5: we could go live in Denver, get hooked up with
- 17:21Speaker 5: the Walton Kronkey Ola Garcs and get to own that,
- 17:25Speaker 5: you know, get to run that team. So like Sean
- 17:27Speaker 5: Payton left you high and drive, Drew Brees literally died
- 17:31Speaker 5: out there in the field for you. Now, Steve Gleeson, Uh,
- 17:39Speaker 5: I would, I would?
- 17:40Speaker 3: I would. I'm gonna give.
- 17:43Speaker 1: It's a tough one and we can take that out
- 17:44Speaker 1: of the equation.
- 17:45Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no no no no no, no, Gleason,
- 17:48Speaker 5: We're gonna go.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna go Gleason simply because it would Well, I
- 17:54Speaker 3: think the table. Breez would give Gleason the table.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Also, like what Gleson means the city, no white flags,
- 18:02Speaker 5: the inspiration that he's caused. It's it's astronomical, and you're
- 18:07Speaker 5: a bad person if you give that table to Breeze
- 18:09Speaker 5: over at Gleason, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, bad for
- 18:13Speaker 5: everybody involved.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Yeah, Gleason's the guy.
- 18:16Speaker 9: Yes, So now we're going to baton rouge to you, Bob.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 1: By the way, if Breeze walks in and your dad
- 18:21Speaker 1: walks in, who's getting that table? Your dad thinks he's
- 18:24Speaker 1: getting that table, right, he deserves that table.
- 18:26Speaker 5: My dad would he would, he would he I can
- 18:31Speaker 5: tell you almost exactly how my dad would play it, right,
- 18:34Speaker 5: because playing quarterbackly that he's an outpha, he's an asshole.
- 18:38Speaker 5: He thinks he's better than everyone, but there are a
- 18:40Speaker 5: few people that he knows he wasn't better than.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And so what that.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Leads to, like Joe Montana is like probably the only
- 18:46Speaker 5: one of his contemporaries they'll give it to and then
- 18:49Speaker 5: and then and then he will always say that, like
- 18:51Speaker 5: Drew Brees is better than right, So like he would
- 18:54Speaker 5: go out of his way to be showing about like no.
- 18:56Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, no no no, it's just Drew's table.
- 18:58Speaker 3: This is give it, Give it to Drew, Give it
- 19:00Speaker 3: to Drew.
- 19:01Speaker 5: He would, he would, he would do the the eight
- 19:03Speaker 5: mile thing of getting ahead of the conversation.
- 19:06Speaker 3: And actually giving the table to breathe.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I love that.
- 19:09Speaker 9: So in Baton Rouge, one table Joe Burrow or Shack.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Oh wow, so Baton Rouge Shack played basketball there. I
- 19:18Speaker 1: never won a title. Joe Burrow quarterback. The greatest team
- 19:21Speaker 1: in college football history.
- 19:23Speaker 5: I think it's I think it's Borough, dude. I think
- 19:26Speaker 5: it's Burrow. And and the reason being is in God.
- 19:30Speaker 5: I mean again, this is splitting hairs or this is
- 19:33Speaker 5: like causing you to whatever.
- 19:34Speaker 9: Both.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Everybody loves Shack, everybody loves Burrow. But football success reigns supreme.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Talking about all the time, dude, you're a basketball school
- 19:43Speaker 5: until you get a taste of football.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Look at they're looking at They're so out on basketball.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Look at Kentucky when they won like nine games.
- 19:53Speaker 5: They were like, fuck coach town, dude, stoops out there.
- 19:56Speaker 7: I don't know, we might be.
- 19:57Speaker 5: A football school, like like they want. They won't games
- 20:01Speaker 5: and they were so high up the supply that all
- 20:04Speaker 5: they could think about was Kroger Field. So no I
- 20:08Speaker 5: Football Ransom Preme fifteen to oh best team of all time,
- 20:11Speaker 5: Joe Burrow gets the table.
- 20:12Speaker 6: Okoy staying in Baton Rouge, Jamar Chase, and Justin Jefferson
- 20:17Speaker 6: walk in.
- 20:18Speaker 7: Oh wow.
- 20:19Speaker 5: So if it was right after college, it would have
- 20:23Speaker 5: been Chase.
- 20:24Speaker 3: But now it's Jets. And that's not hard to see why, right.
- 20:27Speaker 5: I mean, like Jets has gone on to be the
- 20:30Speaker 5: best receive in the NFL, and he's just like he's
- 20:31Speaker 5: a cultural phenomenon, Like kids love him throughout the country
- 20:36Speaker 5: where Jets jerseys and they all wear those like old
- 20:39Speaker 5: like early two thousand sunglasses like he do, and they
- 20:42Speaker 5: do the gritty and everything.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Jack's his favorite play, That's what I'm saying.
- 20:46Speaker 5: And that's like throughout the country there's.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Got also Jets and Kyler Murray.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Okay, rebirth guys, Rebirth koc Jets, Kyler Murray. They're done
- 20:59Speaker 5: with his stupid JJ McCarthy experience experiment on the way
- 21:05Speaker 5: of Brian Kelly. I'm I'm expecting big things from the
- 21:08Speaker 5: Vikings again this year.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Okay, I'm glad you got that in there. Let's stay
- 21:12Speaker 1: in uh, I love you. Let's stay in Baton Rouge
- 21:16Speaker 1: for a second.
- 21:17Speaker 5: It's May six market down big things from the Vikings
- 21:20Speaker 5: fall by big things, I mean like winning eleven games
- 21:25Speaker 5: and getting knocked down the second round.
- 21:26Speaker 4: But still yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Well listen, a month ago, Taylor and I had the
- 21:29Speaker 1: Raiders winning their division. So that's the good stuff. Yes,
- 21:34Speaker 1: never too early. All right, we're staying in Baton Rouge.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Lane Kippin ed Orgeron.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Go Coacho goods, coach o easy.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Joe's getting it over everyone.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I think not close, yeah, not not not even close. Look,
- 21:47Speaker 3: Lane is beloved right now.
- 21:49Speaker 5: I have never seen such a positive PR campaign from
- 21:56Speaker 5: someone before they've ever coached the gate right right, Like
- 21:58Speaker 5: that's that's it's I think we've ever seen. Uh.
- 22:02Speaker 3: But he still has to win, yes, and it could
- 22:04Speaker 3: still go rye and he's still.
- 22:08Speaker 5: You know, he's still the f boy that you kind
- 22:10Speaker 5: of invited into your bedroom because you want to achieve
- 22:13Speaker 5: climax and you want to have some fun like Coacho
- 22:16Speaker 5: is a favored son of Louisiana, born and bred a
- 22:19Speaker 5: true Cajun man who speaks Cajun French and came back
- 22:24Speaker 5: and built that program up with it consecutive seasons to
- 22:27Speaker 5: go fifteen.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, coach O, No, that was a terrible question, Taylor,
- 22:30Speaker 1: Do you have one for him?
- 22:33Speaker 3: I have one more?
- 22:34Speaker 4: All right?
- 22:34Speaker 1: When it happened to the restaurant, by the way, it's
- 22:36Speaker 1: like it's petered out. What happened to the crowd, the
- 22:38Speaker 1: bustling restaurant.
- 22:39Speaker 4: It's late, it's late.
- 22:41Speaker 3: We got we got a lot of them in. We
- 22:42Speaker 3: went three games.
- 22:43Speaker 1: We want to Yeah, well, so I have one more
- 22:45Speaker 1: if you want to end this game, I have one
- 22:47Speaker 1: more for him. Okay, you have one seating, all right.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Let's do it in New York. Let's take it out
- 22:51Speaker 1: of Chicago. Okay, no one has any sort of home
- 22:53Speaker 1: field advantage. Okay, so we're in New York City and
- 22:57Speaker 1: it's PFT walking in with his family and Big Cat
- 23:01Speaker 1: walking in with his family, one table remaining.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Who gets it?
- 23:06Speaker 3: I think, I mean, I think it's probably both.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Think they're getting it right, they yeah it.
- 23:12Speaker 5: Yes, I would say this. I think it's probably Big Cat.
- 23:17Speaker 5: And I think that is partially because I think I
- 23:24Speaker 5: think I think Big Cat has you know, he's got
- 23:28Speaker 5: he's got the yak, he's got the college football sho.
- 23:30Speaker 5: He's got the NFL show like the man runs himself ragged. Yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 5: Ift does a ton too.
- 23:36Speaker 3: He's part of my take.
- 23:37Speaker 5: He has macrodosing, but PFT does seem he's kind of
- 23:40Speaker 5: like me. He's a little bit nerdier. He kind of
- 23:42Speaker 5: likes to exist in his own little bubblet a little
- 23:44Speaker 5: bit more like. He loves to play the guitar. He
- 23:46Speaker 5: learned how to play free Bird. He plays his band
- 23:48Speaker 5: pop punk. He he uh.
- 23:50Speaker 3: He loves his flight simulator that he plays with at home.
- 23:54Speaker 5: So so yes, I I think Big Cat is slightly
- 23:57Speaker 5: more of a man about town than his pf T.
- 24:00Speaker 1: All right, here here's the difference between the two. Lake Tahoe.
- 24:04Speaker 1: A Big Cat was screeching around the premises in a truck, okay,
- 24:08Speaker 1: going like sixty seventy miles per hour. Hey, Stu, let's
- 24:12Speaker 1: go to Kittle's house.
- 24:13Speaker 4: And I'm like, okay.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Then I get a text like ten minutes later from PFT.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Hey man, want to gamble to casino?
- 24:20Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, yes, yes, that's why Dan is
- 24:24Speaker 5: getting the table.
- 24:24Speaker 3: That's why Dan's getting the table right there.
- 24:26Speaker 1: He's aggressive.
- 24:27Speaker 4: All right, what's the next game you want?
- 24:28Speaker 1: To go to Taylor has rules from soccer that he
- 24:30Speaker 1: wants to incorporate to US sports.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Or we can go with do me a favor rules.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Oh, Taylor's rules, don't hear Taylor's got cooktar.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Taylor has rules here to fix American sports with something
- 24:41Speaker 1: he learned from soccer.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Do we have imaging for this tailor?
- 24:45Speaker 9: Of course we have imaging.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Oh wow, look you, I am so proud of you.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Time now for how Taylor would fix American sports with
- 24:55Speaker 1: something in from soccer.
- 25:00Speaker 9: So t Bob, before we've done.
- 25:03Speaker 10: Loaning out players and instead of playoffs, we do double
- 25:09Speaker 10: legged games where each team gets a home game and
- 25:11Speaker 10: then the aggregate score goes through today this is probably
- 25:16Speaker 10: the most popular one promotion and relegation.
- 25:20Speaker 9: We're bringing it to American sports where Stu.
- 25:24Speaker 10: We'll say the NFL, for example, We'll put the NFL
- 25:28Speaker 10: into two leagues, the NFL Premier League in the NFL Championship,
- 25:33Speaker 10: sixteen teams in the Premier League, sixteen teams in the Championship.
- 25:38Speaker 10: And we're gonna combat tanking with this because the bottom
- 25:42Speaker 10: three teams from the Premier League in the NFL gets
- 25:45Speaker 10: sent down to the championship and the top three teams
- 25:48Speaker 10: from the championship gets sent up to the Premier League.
- 25:50Speaker 10: And in the championship you have less money, your stadiums
- 25:54Speaker 10: are normally smaller because your budget is a lot smaller,
- 25:57Speaker 10: and your teams aren't as good.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Okay, you always have something to play for. You're eliminating
- 26:01Speaker 1: tanking by doing this, I understand that, right.
- 26:04Speaker 5: It's it's, it's it's it's crazy because it is one
- 26:08Speaker 5: of those things where I think if you were from
- 26:09Speaker 5: Mars and you came down and you looked to the
- 26:11Speaker 5: Earth and you see us all running around.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Like how do we fix tanking? I don't know what
- 26:16Speaker 3: to do?
- 26:16Speaker 5: If only there was a solution, and like this is
- 26:19Speaker 5: right here, like like this literally is the solution. This
- 26:24Speaker 5: incentive ize losing to the point where you get kicked
- 26:27Speaker 5: out of the fucking league.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Right but but but but again, a chance to make
- 26:32Speaker 1: the league.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yes, yes, no, like it's it's it's actually it makes
- 26:36Speaker 3: all the sense in the world.
- 26:37Speaker 5: But then money, nobody's ever going to agree to it,
- 26:39Speaker 5: right but yeah, Like, bro, imagine applying this to college sports,
- 26:43Speaker 5: like as as we've been reworking the sport in conferenceary
- 26:46Speaker 5: alignment and everything and and you've almost been moving towards
- 26:49Speaker 5: these super conferences like the SEC and the Big Ten.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Uh yeah, what if you had a situation where it
- 26:57Speaker 5: like like if if you didn't win enough that you
- 26:59Speaker 5: were basically down to like one double A or group
- 27:01Speaker 5: of five or whatnot. And the other best part about
- 27:04Speaker 5: it is all of a sudden, Cardinals Raiders at the
- 27:10Speaker 5: end of the year is an existential battle for survival.
- 27:14Speaker 5: If you're telling me, you wouldn't want to watch that,
- 27:16Speaker 5: and the quality of the football is now good. Those
- 27:17Speaker 5: are bad teams, but it would be fascinating to watch
- 27:20Speaker 5: those guys fight for their lives.
- 27:21Speaker 1: All right, So here's my issue though, the Premier League
- 27:24Speaker 1: and the Championship League both feel like you're being rewarded, like.
- 27:28Speaker 9: Not the Championship League.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It's the Championship okay, let's just make it the Jets. Okay.
- 27:34Speaker 4: If that's the lesser of the two leagues, let's call
- 27:37Speaker 4: it Premiere.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And the Jets. Okay, and the Jets are stuck of
- 27:40Speaker 1: the Jets forever?
- 27:41Speaker 3: Is that?
- 27:41Speaker 4: Okay?
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah? But how about this.
- 27:44Speaker 5: The Jets have a pretty good chance of winning the
- 27:46Speaker 5: Jets and then you get to celebrate a championship it's
- 27:49Speaker 5: like that may be your only path forward to a
- 27:52Speaker 5: Jets championship has to.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Get relegated win the lower league, and.
- 27:57Speaker 7: You're like, we're back in the NFL.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Hell, I will take a lower league title any day.
- 28:03Speaker 3: My friend. Then it just becomes the Browns. So we
- 28:07Speaker 3: want something you know in all serious is Taylor. Tottenham
- 28:14Speaker 3: is about to get relegated, aren't they. They're very close.
- 28:18Speaker 10: They got a very good result this past weekend and
- 28:21Speaker 10: I believe they're they're above.
- 28:24Speaker 9: The relegation zone right now.
- 28:25Speaker 10: But that last spot is gonna come down to Tottenham
- 28:28Speaker 10: or west Ham, two pretty big clubs.
- 28:29Speaker 5: Stude, you're talking about Tottenham here, who what just built
- 28:34Speaker 5: a multi billion dollars stadium.
- 28:36Speaker 9: Yeah, where the NFL plays its London games.
- 28:39Speaker 5: And and all of a sudden they're gonna have to
- 28:40Speaker 5: play a bunch of Western Kentuckys like they're going.
- 28:44Speaker 3: To be playing in the.
- 28:47Speaker 9: Stadium and TeamUp.
- 28:53Speaker 10: Some teams have the thought like or some fan bases
- 28:56Speaker 10: are like, oh, we'll just go down to the championship
- 28:58Speaker 10: for one year. It's a one year penalty. We'll be
- 29:00Speaker 10: right back to the Premier League and they're stuck there.
- 29:02Speaker 9: Yes, some teams like Leicester City just keep moving down
- 29:06Speaker 9: and down.
- 29:07Speaker 1: This So the Chiefs, based on last year not making
- 29:10Speaker 1: the playoffs, they'd be relegated down right.
- 29:12Speaker 5: Well, you got to finish like bottom three or four, Okay,
- 29:15Speaker 5: so they would have still been they they probably would have.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Of the cut line.
- 29:19Speaker 4: All right.
- 29:20Speaker 1: So we ever had the top three or four picks
- 29:21Speaker 1: in the draft, those are the teams being relegated.
- 29:24Speaker 9: The Raiders, the Jets.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Yeah, advice not tanking.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Uh, maybe they get like a draft pick penalty or
- 29:33Speaker 5: something that they get relegated as well. Yeah, it makes
- 29:35Speaker 5: all this, It makes too much sense, but nobody's ever
- 29:39Speaker 5: going to agree to it.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, the Giants dominate the Jets division.
- 29:43Speaker 6: No, I mean number one pick goes to the last
- 29:48Speaker 6: team that doesn't get regulated in the Premier League.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Yes, yes, relegated, relegated regulated, I do like regular regulators.
- 29:57Speaker 3: A good idea.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Soccer has a good idea, bords good idea, so it does.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I have heard a lot there's a there's a book
- 30:04Speaker 3: on the creation of the ep L.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I can't remember what the name of it is, but
- 30:08Speaker 5: a lot of college football fans have have have recommended
- 30:11Speaker 5: to read it because of some of the similarities in
- 30:14Speaker 5: the tumultuous times and when it came about.
- 30:16Speaker 4: What's it called Neil Nel totally meaningly shout at soccer.
- 30:25Speaker 4: I'm sorry about that, all right? Are we done with this?
- 30:28Speaker 4: We're moving on to do me a favorite club?
- 30:30Speaker 3: The club is, it's called the club.
- 30:31Speaker 5: How the English Premier League became the wildest, richest, most disruptive.
- 30:35Speaker 3: For some sports?
- 30:36Speaker 4: Yeah, are you concerned at all about your daughter?
- 30:39Speaker 3: Maybe?
- 30:39Speaker 4: You know soccer? You're sitting out there, you're in the grass.
- 30:42Speaker 1: You're kind of picking through the grass because the ball
- 30:44Speaker 1: never comes your way, and once it comes your way,
- 30:46Speaker 1: it's very hard because you're playing with your feet, not
- 30:47Speaker 1: in your hands. Are you concerned your daughter's gonna get
- 30:49Speaker 1: bored with soccer?
- 30:50Speaker 5: Or what?
- 30:50Speaker 3: Do you think?
- 30:51Speaker 5: No?
- 30:51Speaker 3: I mean, look, I am not. There's there's a lot
- 30:57Speaker 3: of uh and and and know stud I'm not. I'm not.
- 31:01Speaker 5: I'm not with you on this soccer take, by the way, either.
- 31:03Speaker 5: I I love the beautiful game. I think the great
- 31:06Speaker 5: irony of soccer is that you think it's boring? Right?
- 31:10Speaker 9: Is what this is?
- 31:10Speaker 3: Kind of what you're alluding to a ton of goals?
- 31:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, okay, do you think but then you talk
- 31:14Speaker 5: to a European who loves soccer and they think football
- 31:19Speaker 5: is boring.
- 31:19Speaker 3: So like you take breaks every fucking second, go to
- 31:22Speaker 3: commercial break.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Constantly, like if nothing else, he's telling them in the Jaguars,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I mean, that's my month.
- 31:32Speaker 3: That is fair. They have a war perspective.
- 31:34Speaker 5: But it is interesting that like I love when I
- 31:36Speaker 5: turn on a soccer game, I know I'm getting forty
- 31:39Speaker 5: five minutes of action.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Nothing in between. Forty five minutes of action.
- 31:42Speaker 1: That part I like, yes, that part it's quick, yes,
- 31:46Speaker 1: but but no in all.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Seriously, I don't take you sports like some of the
- 31:50Speaker 5: dads and people out there are crazy.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Dude, like these are six seven year old.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Let's just have some fun, Mikey, you want to tell
- 31:56Speaker 1: them your story. I was speaking of crazy fucking dads.
- 32:02Speaker 6: No, we played little league against the dad that was
- 32:05Speaker 6: going around telling everybody that he's going to kick everybody's ass.
- 32:08Speaker 3: And I might have over celebrated and beat him at
- 32:14Speaker 3: a point where like like it was it was like
- 32:18Speaker 3: I was everything that he is just because we beat him.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Yeah, No, they're nine year old. No, there's an old
- 32:30Speaker 3: there's an old saying.
- 32:31Speaker 5: I believe it was Voltaire. I could be wrong, though,
- 32:34Speaker 5: but be careful fighting monsters lest you become one. You you,
- 32:39Speaker 5: you became the very thing that you hated.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Yes, yes, the.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Asshole dad dragged it as.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Someone's going to do that, the ute bomb.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I promise they're going to try to beat you, because
- 32:52Speaker 1: there's always that guy that takes this thing way too seriously.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Six year old soccer.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Oh dude, I've I've I've I've seen it.
- 32:58Speaker 5: Have another facet in my life, Like I spent my
- 33:01Speaker 5: entire life fighting angry star wars nerds, and then the
- 33:04Speaker 5: abomination known as the Rise of Skywalker came out, and
- 33:09Speaker 5: suddenly I find myself as the heavy, breathing, nasally angry
- 33:14Speaker 5: old man bitching about why these children films aren't more
- 33:17Speaker 5: aligned with my vision for them.
- 33:20Speaker 3: I get it, it happen.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Yeah, let's just bring it back.
- 33:26Speaker 7: Fuck it.
- 33:26Speaker 5: Original trilogy didn't mean anything, I guess. Yeah, whatever, it
- 33:30Speaker 5: was apt in the entire time.
- 33:33Speaker 4: All right, let's get to do me a favor.
- 33:35Speaker 10: Here.
- 33:35Speaker 4: We have to get t Bob here, Taylor, do we
- 33:38Speaker 4: have imaging for doing me a favor?
- 33:41Speaker 9: Yes, we have a music bead that goes under it.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Oh wow, music, Look at this all right, Bob.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I'm not certain if you're familiar with the game. We
- 33:50Speaker 1: go around the horn here here, and we asked someone
- 33:53Speaker 1: to do me a favor. I'll give you an example.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I go to Starbucks every day. I'm spending you know,
- 33:57Speaker 1: six dollars on two double espressos.
- 33:59Speaker 4: I get it real cheese. One time, they don't cut
- 34:01Speaker 4: it in half. I asked them to cut it in half.
- 34:03Speaker 4: They say they can't cut it in a half.
- 34:05Speaker 1: And I said, do me a favor. Cut the fucking
- 34:06Speaker 1: sandwich in half. I mean, seriously, I'm spending twelve dollars
- 34:10Speaker 1: a day in your fucking coffee shop.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Cut my sandwich in half. A point?
- 34:17Speaker 10: All right, So let's go to Taylor first. Hell you
- 34:19Speaker 10: got one, yep, NHL, do me a favor. Make your
- 34:24Speaker 10: lottery simpler. I turn on the NHL draft lottery yesterday
- 34:28Speaker 10: because the Rangers have a chance to get the number
- 34:30Speaker 10: one pick. Admittedly, I'm a hockey casual. I didn't know
- 34:33Speaker 10: what I was getting myself into. Stup, they draw four
- 34:37Speaker 10: ping pong balls, and every four number combo belongs to
- 34:41Speaker 10: a different team, right, mad teams get more combos, is
- 34:44Speaker 10: what I surmised was happening. But the balls come out
- 34:48Speaker 10: and it's like two five, nine thirteen, and one person's like, oh,
- 34:52Speaker 10: this means it's the Florida Panthers, and everybody else is like,
- 34:56Speaker 10: wait is that even right?
- 34:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:58Speaker 10: And for how confusing it is, it's not even climatic
- 35:01Speaker 10: because the first ball they draw is to announce who
- 35:05Speaker 10: gets the number one pick?
- 35:06Speaker 3: Right what.
- 35:11Speaker 10: They draw them the first ball and it's like, the
- 35:13Speaker 10: maple Leafs have the number one pick. We'll see what
- 35:15Speaker 10: the rest of the draft order is later.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Okay, I mean I do like the lottery elements of it.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I do like there's something I don't know. It's different, unique,
- 35:22Speaker 1: But I understand what you're saying. Well, yeah, I mean
- 35:24Speaker 1: it allows you to I'm confused with you explaining it
- 35:26Speaker 1: to me.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Yeah, but I mean to a lottery element. You know,
- 35:29Speaker 5: it allows you to give the maple Leafs the.
- 35:32Speaker 3: First pick.
- 35:34Speaker 4: That you can because has lost hockey.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Right, yeah, the sport and keeps the best teams at
- 35:38Speaker 5: the top. It's like it's like the old bent corner
- 35:42Speaker 5: of the envelope with you ing and.
- 35:43Speaker 3: The knicks back in the d.
- 35:45Speaker 5: Yeah. Is that what it was?
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 35:46Speaker 1: The frozen Yeah, exactly, yes, Mikey, you got one here,
- 35:50Speaker 1: I got one.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Uh listen.
- 35:52Speaker 6: I understand the rise of the self checkout line. I
- 35:55Speaker 6: understand that it makes things more efficient. But all these
- 36:00Speaker 6: ors that have it, do me a favor. Have somebody
- 36:02Speaker 6: who knows what the hell they're doing standing by at
- 36:05Speaker 6: all times, because I'm sick of skanting behind the ninety
- 36:08Speaker 6: five year old woman who can't figure out what button
- 36:11Speaker 6: to press.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I scan that twy. Have somebody standing by. It's one
- 36:15Speaker 3: person for like six checkouts. It's not gonna cost you munch.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Just do me a favor. Have somebody there right, like
- 36:22Speaker 3: a pit boss exactly.
- 36:25Speaker 11: With the card, I need the person that has the
- 36:28Speaker 11: card in another part of the store so that the
- 36:30Speaker 11: person that goes up goes, hey, I need Bob up
- 36:33Speaker 11: front so that he can so that he can bring
- 36:35Speaker 11: over the card so we can scan it.
- 36:37Speaker 3: No, I needs to be up front.
- 36:39Speaker 10: This sounds less like you need somebody watching it and
- 36:42Speaker 10: more like a test to see if you could even
- 36:45Speaker 10: qualify to go to self.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Chem okay with that? No, no, no, no, like we
- 36:49Speaker 3: need humans, we need.
- 36:50Speaker 4: We need humans.
- 36:51Speaker 1: But I think what Taylor is saying, it's like a
- 36:53Speaker 1: driver's license. You need permission to go into that area.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, you have to.
- 36:58Speaker 1: You have to pass itself count test.
- 37:02Speaker 9: In a certain amount of time.
- 37:04Speaker 4: There's cones and.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Everything, and parallel park those bananas. Let's go. I can't
- 37:11Speaker 3: get it to scam. You can't find the sticker that's
- 37:15Speaker 3: on you.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Move along?
- 37:16Speaker 7: Excuse me, sir?
- 37:20Speaker 4: All right, all right, team.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I'm go ahead, all right, I got a bit a
- 37:23Speaker 3: million of them, but I'll go here. Uh, do me
- 37:26Speaker 3: a favor.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Just goes back to fran bra Valdez last night, right. Uh,
- 37:31Speaker 5: he gets a little frustrated they're they're tipping his pitches.
- 37:34Speaker 5: He ends up beating story benches. Clear, Hey, do me
- 37:39Speaker 5: a favor. If we're gonna leave the dugout, somebody throw
- 37:42Speaker 5: a fucking punch.
- 37:43Speaker 3: I mean that thing was the most.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Performative waste of time and the funniest part about it.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Wats the highlight?
- 37:51Speaker 5: Later is the bullpen feeling like, I guess we got
- 37:57Speaker 5: a jog out there. Their hearts are not in it
- 38:00Speaker 5: at all. They have way too far of a distance ago.
- 38:03Speaker 5: They should have just stayed in outfield and relax. But like, yeah, guys,
- 38:06Speaker 5: do me.
- 38:07Speaker 3: If you're gonna clear out, do me. A favor and
- 38:09Speaker 3: at least fine, at least.
- 38:10Speaker 5: At least get something going on. Yeah, I mean give
- 38:13Speaker 5: me Walt Weiss tackling a man. There was nothing, nothing
- 38:17Speaker 5: at all there. And then my second one, a I
- 38:20Speaker 5: brought my son to Wrigley for the first time last
- 38:22Speaker 5: week and it was incredible. Dude, just a bucket list
- 38:24Speaker 5: core memory day. But but this goes to life in general. Hey,
- 38:28Speaker 5: do me a favor. Don't expect more than a dollar
- 38:31Speaker 5: tip on a.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Fucking beer or a coffee.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Okay, I've been.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Doing my whole life.
- 38:36Speaker 5: I don't care if you a holes in society inflating
- 38:40Speaker 5: my beer to eighteen dollars a beer at the stadium.
- 38:42Speaker 5: I'm not giving you twenty percent on eighteen dollars for
- 38:46Speaker 5: a domestic light beer.
- 38:48Speaker 7: It's not happening.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Okay.
- 38:50Speaker 5: Yeah, you're charging me five bucks for a cup of
- 38:54Speaker 5: bean juice to give me caffeine.
- 38:56Speaker 7: Fine, I get it, black, it's no.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Sweat off your back. I want to give you a dollar,
- 39:01Speaker 3: but don't look at me and shame me because I'm
- 39:03Speaker 3: not going more than a dollar.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Okay, it's a dollar per drink that works, that will
- 39:07Speaker 5: always work as long as I'm here.
- 39:09Speaker 4: Well, you read my mind, because that leads me right
- 39:12Speaker 4: into mind.
- 39:13Speaker 1: The guy who gets a five dollar tip when he
- 39:15Speaker 1: gets a beer at a game, do me a favor.
- 39:16Speaker 4: Stop fucking doing it.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Get out of here.
- 39:19Speaker 1: What you're making, you're making the rest of us, and
- 39:22Speaker 1: you do it with the idea of making the person
- 39:24Speaker 1: behind you or next to you look terrible. It happens
- 39:27Speaker 1: to me all the time. Here's five bucks. I'm a
- 39:29Speaker 1: big shot. Here's a tip. Bucks, Hey, keep the fucking change.
- 39:32Speaker 1: How about one dollar a rwe dollar, one dollar. Here's
- 39:36Speaker 1: your tip. It's a stadium rule. You don't tip anymore,
- 39:39Speaker 1: and you don't tip any less. That way, they all
- 39:41Speaker 1: get a dollar from every single person who comes by
- 39:44Speaker 1: and buys a beer.
- 39:45Speaker 4: I hate when people do that. They show off. A
- 39:47Speaker 4: guy left at twenty.
- 39:48Speaker 1: The last time I went to a game a twenty
- 39:50Speaker 1: a twenty dollars tip, and so all I'm up next,
- 39:53Speaker 1: and what am I gonna do?
- 39:55Speaker 4: I left a twenty because.
- 39:58Speaker 3: After twenty is for me.
- 40:02Speaker 10: My least favorite thing is when you're in line at
- 40:04Speaker 10: Starbucks and they're like, it's gonna ask you a question.
- 40:06Speaker 3: It's like, I know what the question is.
- 40:08Speaker 10: It's just ask for the tip, don't ask, don't say
- 40:12Speaker 10: the answer your question is no.
- 40:14Speaker 4: And also do me a favor on surveys. I mean,
- 40:16Speaker 4: enough of the surveys.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Do I have to fill out your fucking customer service survey?
- 40:21Speaker 4: Do me a favor?
- 40:22Speaker 1: I come in, I spend my harder money, I consume
- 40:25Speaker 1: your product, and I just want to get in my
- 40:28Speaker 1: car and go home. Do I have to fill out
- 40:30Speaker 1: a fucking survey for the home depot guy?
- 40:33Speaker 11: Enough?
- 40:34Speaker 3: Seriously? Well, and it's it's it's and and and then.
- 40:38Speaker 5: But it's it's like it's it's it's it's these it's
- 40:40Speaker 5: these uh these business leaders as well, though, like like yesterday,
- 40:44Speaker 5: the Chipotle CEOs out there and he's like.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Oh, guys, I mean, just ask for more food.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Like I know, I I know that we've created a
- 40:54Speaker 5: corporate policy where we're trying to save money wherever he
- 40:56Speaker 5: can it, so we're exactly giving less portions so we
- 40:58Speaker 5: can cut costs.
- 40:58Speaker 3: But like, just ask more food. There's an employee on
- 41:01Speaker 3: the line that will say, no.
- 41:02Speaker 5: Fuck you, do me a favor and shut the fuck up,
- 41:07Speaker 5: because first off, it's a good test. You won't get
- 41:11Speaker 5: more food or are you gonna get charge more, and
- 41:12Speaker 5: simply you're putting your employees who don't have the million
- 41:16Speaker 5: dollars gold like they're in a bad spot.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Are they supposed to listen to their boss? Are they
- 41:21Speaker 3: supposed to listen to the customer?
- 41:23Speaker 7: Do me a favor?
- 41:24Speaker 3: And how about you lead the way and you fix
- 41:26Speaker 3: it and you give us more food?
- 41:28Speaker 4: Yes, do me a favor.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Stop making promises you can't deliver on.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Yes, Yes, she bob.
- 41:32Speaker 10: That was a great amendment because it had to be said.
- 41:35Speaker 10: We are anti tipping, we are pro fair wages.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Yes, I'm pro And again I'm not anti tipping restaurant
- 41:44Speaker 5: twenty percent.
- 41:44Speaker 1: And not anti tipping. I broke giving money in my pocket.
- 41:48Speaker 5: But but I have specifically been shamed a few times
- 41:51Speaker 5: recently and given looks when I have tipped a dollar
- 41:54Speaker 5: on a beer and or coffee. You're not even telling
- 41:57Speaker 5: cocktail talking a beer or a coffee. And it's crazy
- 42:01Speaker 5: that I should be shamed for not winning to it more.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Than a dollar a drink.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Right now, they give you attitude.
- 42:05Speaker 1: You feel like you're being judge, You feel terrible, You
- 42:06Speaker 1: walk away feeling where can I How can I just
- 42:09Speaker 1: walk away from a beer feeling good? About myself. I
- 42:11Speaker 1: can't anymore.
- 42:12Speaker 4: I mean it's unbelievable.
- 42:13Speaker 10: Set I have another one said it is, Yes, do
- 42:16Speaker 10: me a favor, stadiums, let me keep my bottle cap.
- 42:19Speaker 10: I promise I'll sign something that says I won't use
- 42:22Speaker 10: it as a projectile from.
- 42:25Speaker 1: That's a good point, dude, Just to put a bowt Yes,
- 42:28Speaker 1: that is a great point to go ahead to.
- 42:31Speaker 5: I was just just say, little kids too. They get
- 42:32Speaker 5: a hold of that beer, they start spilling it everywhere.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Yet terrible to your point. Just to put a bow
- 42:38Speaker 4: on this segment. We love doing this with you. College football,
- 42:40Speaker 4: do me a favor.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Slow the fuck, dad, That was gonna be yes. I
- 42:44Speaker 1: mean enough, enough is enough, Lincoln Riley. Enough If you're
- 42:47Speaker 1: not good enough to be in the top eight, the
- 42:49Speaker 1: top twelve, you're just not good enough.
- 42:51Speaker 4: I don't need twenty four teams. I don't need twenty teams.
- 42:53Speaker 4: I don't need thirty teams. I four was fine. I'm
- 42:57Speaker 4: good with where we're at.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Stop expanding the playoff, Lincoln Riley, do me a favor.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Shut up?
- 43:02Speaker 4: How about that?
- 43:03Speaker 5: I would say this, I would say, uh, hockey fans,
- 43:07Speaker 5: do me a favor. Just enjoy the hockey like like
- 43:12Speaker 5: like like, I am loving the NHL and NBA playoffs,
- 43:16Speaker 5: but any time you say anything about either to a
- 43:19Speaker 5: hockey fan, it just immediately is like.
- 43:22Speaker 7: Oh, another blowout.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Huh he ship, I watched three overtime games last night, son,
- 43:29Speaker 5: Could it be my playoffs?
- 43:30Speaker 7: No, let's just enjoy the games you enjoyed to be
- 43:34Speaker 7: a favor.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Enjoy this incredible playoff run that you're heavy right now.
- 43:38Speaker 3: It's awesome. I'm loving it too.
- 43:41Speaker 1: I love you so much, man, Thank you for doing this.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Check him out, wake up barstool, late to tend hey recently?
- 43:46Speaker 3: Allright, you call me in a spicy weird today. I
- 43:49Speaker 3: love you very much, all very much. Always be here, Yes, no,
- 43:53Speaker 3: I want this version of you every time we have
- 43:57Speaker 3: I
