- 0:07Speaker 1: This is Chuck's Cantina podcast, where anything and everything is
- 0:13Speaker 1: up for discussion. And now here's your barman, Chuck O'Donnell,
- 0:19Speaker 1: I've came a gap.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yeah, there you can. I want to send music in
- 0:30Speaker 2: the background.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I had to hear that fucking thing one more time
- 0:35Speaker 3: on socialism Chuck my phone.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I didn't I didn't hear what it was.
- 0:41Speaker 4: You ever heard the shoe Box?
- 0:43Speaker 2: I see. I watched that before people were even onto it.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what, it's funny. People should actually watch
- 0:48Speaker 3: a video.
- 0:50Speaker 4: It's actually kind of.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that guy. I've seen that guy's animation for a minute,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and uh, he's pretty funny.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Bro was watching it, I'm like, what the fuck? Everyone's like,
- 1:03Speaker 3: everyone's just taking like that one part out of the clip,
- 1:06Speaker 3: and it's like, uh, there's some context here you're not
- 1:08Speaker 3: looking at Oh my god. Anyway, let's get into it.
- 1:15Speaker 3: How are you doing, brother?
- 1:17Speaker 2: I am doing.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:18Speaker 2: By the way, you can always.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Find us at Trucks Canteen on your social trucks dot cop.
- 1:22Speaker 2: But yes, I'm doing okay, I'm doing all right. Life'
- 1:27Speaker 2: spin passing me, passing me some pretty tough cards lately
- 1:35Speaker 2: and uh yeah, yeah, yeah, But we're doing okay, we're decent.
- 1:42Speaker 4: You drinking anything, you know, I won't drinking that.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Age and drinking some coffee as well, a little bit
- 1:51Speaker 2: of white Moca creamery from White cosponsoring white chocolate Mocha
- 1:58Speaker 2: White Bad Chabani.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Well, I am a man who does not like lemon.
- 2:04Speaker 3: But there's something like the shoe Bodies, there's something we
- 2:11Speaker 3: are not gonna understand. I am drinking a Kirkland sparkling
- 2:16Speaker 3: water lemon. I don't know why this shit is fantastic.
- 2:23Speaker 2: M hm oh, my coffee is hitting good today, buddy.
- 2:26Speaker 2: These things mustards.
- 2:30Speaker 3: No, and I apologize my little horse, So I don't know.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I'm gonna give you a quick story, the quick story,
- 2:35Speaker 3: and I do have a Sunna story for you. This
- 2:37Speaker 3: is not a Sunner story. I was at like a
- 2:41Speaker 3: little mini I mean yeah, I said it was a
- 2:43Speaker 3: bar crap. It was just on like Milwaukee folks, some
- 2:45Speaker 3: Milwaukee peeps. Anyway, we went to a few places and
- 2:50Speaker 3: obviously it's been I mean in the Midwest, not that
- 2:52Speaker 3: it's crappy out, but it's kind of it's chilly still
- 2:54Speaker 3: like in the thirties and forties and stuff like that.
- 2:58Speaker 3: For some reason we went to like six different bars.
- 3:01Speaker 3: We you know, we weren't like getting hammered or anything
- 3:03Speaker 3: like that, at least I didn't, or in the friends
- 3:07Speaker 3: I was hanging out with didn't. I don't know why.
- 3:12Speaker 3: My friend, I don't know, what's that. We're getting older
- 3:14Speaker 3: and ship like that. But like the few bars we
- 3:17Speaker 3: went to were more people other than us were there.
- 3:21Speaker 3: It was like, Hey, I'm gonna scream at the top
- 3:24Speaker 3: of my fucking LUNs that talk to you, like, yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 3: someplace they had music playing, someplace they had like sports going,
- 3:32Speaker 3: especially with like the college basketball tournament's going on right now,
- 3:35Speaker 3: but enough to warrant where it's like, you know, you're
- 3:38Speaker 3: like fucking in the kitchen the bear, you know, getting
- 3:41Speaker 3: yelled at because you mess up with.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Sue Flay or some bullshit.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Like I'm just like, what the fuck are your hands?
- 3:48Speaker 4: No where.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Was supposed to be anyway, Jesus see, yeah, I can't even.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Do that right there, just saying that's a throwback and
- 4:01Speaker 2: a half.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Man, You're welcome. I just wonder if you're gonna catch
- 4:04Speaker 4: that one.
- 4:05Speaker 3: But no, dude, I don't and like for some reason,
- 4:08Speaker 3: and I didn't, you know, after the thing we did.
- 4:10Speaker 3: It was like a day drinking things.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Like.
- 4:11Speaker 3: After the thing was over, we went back to our
- 4:13Speaker 3: friend's house, had some have some za, some pizza some Milwaukee,
- 4:17Speaker 3: which I will.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Say it was actually pretty good. And that's my one
- 4:20Speaker 4: thing I technically didn't do it.
- 4:23Speaker 3: But I did was the one thing one Comba will.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Never do again.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Is I will never do pizza and beer again, because
- 4:29Speaker 3: with all that grease and that pizza and beer, I
- 4:31Speaker 3: don't know why. It focks me up to the point
- 4:34Speaker 3: where I want to literally it's so bad, it's so annoying.
- 4:39Speaker 3: How can I make you understand this? I hate it
- 4:41Speaker 3: so much. I would rather get in a fight with
- 4:43Speaker 3: two thousand and.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Nine Randy Orton, flating around and shit.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Just punting people everywhere.
- 4:53Speaker 4: But no.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And then so I drove home last night after hours
- 4:58Speaker 3: of sobering up, and I was signed all that stuff,
- 5:01Speaker 3: you know, as we always say, calling uber all you
- 5:03Speaker 3: know stuff. Anyway, driving home, get home and I'm just tired,
- 5:08Speaker 3: and I'm literally like going to bed. And I wake
- 5:10Speaker 3: up this morning and I sound like shit, I sound
- 5:16Speaker 3: a lot better than I did this morning, but I'm
- 5:18Speaker 3: just like what the fuck? And like I had to
- 5:21Speaker 3: be from the drink. I mean probably was a mix everything.
- 5:23Speaker 3: But I'm just like, like, we literally went to two
- 5:24Speaker 3: bars where like we had to like scream at the
- 5:26Speaker 3: top of our fucking lungs just to talk. And I
- 5:29Speaker 3: was just like, why, like people, why.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Welcome back your throat recuperated?
- 5:36Speaker 4: God?
- 5:36Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like such a boomer being like,
- 5:38Speaker 3: oh god, he was that tile down.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Hey, yeah, if you're going to be so loud and
- 5:46Speaker 2: go back home.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Oh and then when we hear the even funnier part
- 5:52Speaker 3: about that yesterday, you'll love this. So I was thinking
- 5:56Speaker 3: I was feeling generous, okay, with some good friends of mine.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I haven't seen the minute. We're just hanging out and
- 6:01Speaker 3: having a good time, some older friends, some other acquaenses
- 6:04Speaker 3: and shit. And I had a five dollar bill on me,
- 6:07Speaker 3: and I'm like, you know what, when in Wisconsin, you
- 6:09Speaker 3: gotta find the poll tab machine.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:13Speaker 3: So I pull up five tabs, put in five bucks,
- 6:15Speaker 3: got five dollars of tabs. I gave the first one
- 6:17Speaker 3: that my buddy Alex, I took the second one, and
- 6:20Speaker 3: then I gave you the other three Out two other people,
- 6:24Speaker 3: I pull mine nothing. My friend Leah pulls nothing. The
- 6:29Speaker 3: other two people that had pull tabs nothing, Alex wins
- 6:34Speaker 3: two hundred and fifty fucking dollars. Fuck, and I just look
- 6:39Speaker 3: at him like, motherfucker. He's like that right, And he's
- 6:45Speaker 3: like he's like, I literally never win any of these,
- 6:49Speaker 3: like the son of oh no, he got me a
- 6:52Speaker 3: few drinks, let's just say that. And I'm just like
- 6:54Speaker 3: the son of a bitch, Like the one time, I'm like,
- 6:57Speaker 3: you know what, yeah here, I'm generous. You know, I
- 6:58Speaker 3: can never win. I can ever win those fucking pull
- 7:00Speaker 3: tabs in northern Wisconsin nowhere. I can never win them
- 7:03Speaker 3: in any other place. But yeah, random bar, Milwaukee, I'm like,
- 7:06Speaker 3: oh here, here we go.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And I pulled one more than five dollars on any
- 7:09Speaker 2: like scratch off or anything I've ever done.
- 7:12Speaker 3: So I care what someone else ya won, Like, I
- 7:14Speaker 3: never want one like twenty bucks. I think the most
- 7:16Speaker 3: eiver I wanted ten once. I know that, but like
- 7:19Speaker 3: it's just like come on, yeah, yeah, so that was
- 7:23Speaker 3: That's how that's how my weekend's going. Where I sound
- 7:25Speaker 3: like I got uh someone spiked in the throat and uh, I.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You can't tell everybody this is gonna be a wrestling
- 7:35Speaker 2: themed episode. We've already referenced two thousand.
- 7:40Speaker 3: We already referenced two thousand nine, or and someone spikes, wait,
- 7:47Speaker 3: is that it no anyway? But yeah, probably probably, But in.
- 7:50Speaker 2: That nindset, we're in that mood before we get in
- 7:54Speaker 2: tis the season, Yeah, like going on, we're on the
- 7:58Speaker 2: road to wrestle her, and they know, like for me,
- 8:05Speaker 2: this past week has been a mix of good and bad,
- 8:08Speaker 2: frustrating and like, you know, like stress relieving, you know,
- 8:14Speaker 2: long story short, my partner has been in the hospital.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Jesus every time every time he says the H word,
- 8:23Speaker 3: he sneezes.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah. And so we finally got home, got settled past Thursday,
- 8:34Speaker 2: and and yeah, man, it's been a big adjustment. Obviously,
- 8:40Speaker 2: her her family kind of came into town and helped
- 8:44Speaker 2: us out, helped me clean up the you know, thet
- 8:49Speaker 2: little town home as best I can, the best we can.
- 8:52Speaker 2: We hired a cleaning crew, cleaning company because we had
- 8:55Speaker 2: like a little voucher thing. Because I've always been trepidacious
- 8:58Speaker 2: about it. I'm like, I'm not boogie at it other
- 9:00Speaker 2: people coming in and cleaning my house. But like she
- 9:02Speaker 2: had a voucher, so I was like, oh.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Okay, we already have it. If you're offering, I mean,
- 9:10Speaker 5: if it's there, you know it. It's there, it's gonna
- 9:14Speaker 5: go to waste. But it's gonna expire.
- 9:20Speaker 4: We it's gonna expire. Yeah, it's good.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I mean we might as well use it, like we
- 9:26Speaker 3: have to use it before next Thursday.
- 9:30Speaker 2: But yeah, no, But we hired them and then obviously,
- 9:33Speaker 2: you know, she went to the hospital. We weren't gonna
- 9:35Speaker 2: be home. We had asked to reschedule. They're like sure,
- 9:38Speaker 2: and then the weekend they were gonna come after we rescheduled,
- 9:40Speaker 2: They're like, oh, our machines aren't working. I was like, okay, whatever,
- 9:44Speaker 2: and then they rescheduled for this past Wednesday. We found
- 9:49Speaker 2: out that was the case the morning of, So I run,
- 9:52Speaker 2: I drive back to Lafayette to get there, and I'm
- 9:56Speaker 2: waiting and you know, they give you a window like
- 9:58Speaker 2: twelve to one or whatever, waiting and it's like one fifteen.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I and then it's like two nineteen.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I was like, babe, I don't think they're going to
- 10:07Speaker 2: show up. And they didn't email, they didn't message, they
- 10:10Speaker 2: didn't say, hey, we're not going to be there La
- 10:12Speaker 2: Da da, and they just ghosted us. So that was
- 10:14Speaker 2: frustrating Jesus. Luckily she didn't have to put any money
- 10:18Speaker 2: down the front or whatever, but like, it's still somebody's
- 10:22Speaker 2: getting a bad review. And if I knew the name
- 10:24Speaker 2: of the company, I probably not waste my time gassing
- 10:27Speaker 2: them or like torching them here. But like it was frustrating.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So anyway, when we get her home, we get her situated,
- 10:35Speaker 2: and she's like pretty exhausted from the trip. Right, imagine
- 10:38Speaker 2: having a giant like laceration staple together on your abdomen
- 10:43Speaker 2: and then having to drive an hour on shitty Indiana highways.
- 10:48Speaker 2: To be fair, her car handles them pretty well, good
- 10:51Speaker 2: suspension and everything, but.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Really quick does Indiana have really quick? Sorry?
- 10:55Speaker 3: Does Indiana have toys? I'm pretty sure they do it right.
- 10:58Speaker 2: No, No, they don't.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Oh they do not know why it's not corrected in
- 11:02Speaker 3: their mind. So so what the fuck? Where are the
- 11:04Speaker 3: roads fixed? That's a classic Illinois.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Looking parent hallways.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Why how fuck are these roads massed up?
- 11:11Speaker 4: Please continue?
- 11:12Speaker 2: No? I mean, well, you would think that Chicago having tolls,
- 11:15Speaker 2: they'd have more money to put into the roads.
- 11:16Speaker 4: But I digress.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I wish I had a gift, we might didn't have
- 11:23Speaker 3: to put into the tacks.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well, at least, I mean, I'm fairly certain we don't.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But like on the stretch of highway that I've been
- 11:34Speaker 2: driving pretty much every day over the last two weeks,
- 11:40Speaker 2: I haven't had to pay a toll. Obviously there's no
- 11:42Speaker 2: tolls there. That's not like they're just gonna randomly pop
- 11:45Speaker 2: up anyway, somebody runs out with a toll booth and
- 11:49Speaker 2: just sets it down.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna send you a bill.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Speaking of roads, dude, speaking of driving so much, I've
- 11:59Speaker 2: seen some crazy fucking accidents. You know, I hope everybody's okay.
- 12:04Speaker 2: But like, dude, I swear to god, I saw on
- 12:07Speaker 2: the other side of the road, thankfully, there was a
- 12:10Speaker 2: semi that either this other box truck, you know, like
- 12:14Speaker 2: a moving truck, had like veered into his lane or something.
- 12:19Speaker 2: But like the corner of this box truck was just
- 12:22Speaker 2: fucking sheered off. It was gone, and the semi had
- 12:26Speaker 2: gone down into the ditch, flattened like a good stretch
- 12:30Speaker 2: of guard rail guardrail, and his trailer was just up
- 12:33Speaker 2: in an angle, like sticking up into the air. It
- 12:36Speaker 2: was fucking wild so so Strangely enough, I was almost
- 12:42Speaker 2: always on the other side of the road, but like
- 12:45Speaker 2: driving so much and seeing that, I'm like, oh my god,
- 12:50Speaker 2: feeling like the pressure of it, like feeling like I'm
- 12:53Speaker 2: due free. Uh what's the name of that movie Final
- 12:56Speaker 2: Destination Moment? Oh? No, you know what I mean. Like, Okay,
- 13:00Speaker 2: these are signs, but we're good.
- 13:03Speaker 3: If you're a kid, if you're a nineties kid, anytime
- 13:05Speaker 3: you see a truck full of lumber.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Or like just tree bark, you fucking change.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Lanes, it's it's just a no handstick we all have.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Like you don't have to see the movie, but everyone's
- 13:18Speaker 3: seen the trailer.
- 13:20Speaker 6: I don't know who installed those ratchet straps holding all
- 13:23Speaker 6: that wood together or like rebar, but I'm like, any
- 13:28Speaker 6: gust of wind, any single testive wind, could n't do
- 13:31Speaker 6: all that.
- 13:33Speaker 2: See.
- 13:33Speaker 3: The problem is the problem is real quick. Of course,
- 13:35Speaker 3: with our luck, we would be driving behind that fucking truck.
- 13:37Speaker 3: And then, for some reason, even though it's not in
- 13:39Speaker 3: our Spotify save playlist, fucking Kansas Dust with the wind
- 13:42Speaker 3: that starts playing for no.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Fucking reason, things are adding up.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I'm sorting.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Somebody calls us and says, Hey, I'm about to retire.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It's my last week. Like, no, stay, don't go anywhere.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Don't you know what season it is? This is this
- 14:06Speaker 4: prime lumber season.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Stick off the roads, traveled by horseback through the trails.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Oh my god. So anyway, we get her home, we
- 14:16Speaker 2: get her situated. I have to call my buddy that
- 14:21Speaker 2: night because obviously, like she has her mattress, I have
- 14:25Speaker 2: my mattress, purple mattress, not sponsored.
- 14:29Speaker 4: And so.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Not to brag, it was on sale anyway, it's christmas
- 14:36Speaker 2: Que for a few years, so it's pretty worn down
- 14:42Speaker 2: in any anyway. Yeah. Also, fun fact, purple pillows, they
- 14:47Speaker 2: start to really stink after a while, so you gotta
- 14:50Speaker 2: really clean them. Dude, I'm not kidding, just because like
- 14:53Speaker 2: they have these pores ulmost it's like this flexible like
- 14:59Speaker 2: almost like a mess design, but made of this like
- 15:01Speaker 2: really firm plastic. Anyway, like I sweat a lot when
- 15:04Speaker 2: I sleep. I'm sure people here can relate, but like
- 15:08Speaker 2: it gets down in there and you gotta really get
- 15:11Speaker 2: in there with something lesol or some ship. Anyway, anyway,
- 15:14Speaker 2: I call my friend. Anyway, we switched the two mattresship
- 15:16Speaker 2: mattresses because hers is like more of like a memory
- 15:21Speaker 2: foam situation. It's a bit firmer. Mine has a bit
- 15:24Speaker 2: of like give to support and flexibleness and ship. So
- 15:27Speaker 2: then I have my friend come. We switched those out.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Shout out to Nathan. I don't I think has he
- 15:35Speaker 2: ever been? Has he been on with us once? I
- 15:38Speaker 2: can't remember the podcast? I don't think, so I must
- 15:42Speaker 2: have been. I don't know.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I mean, like, I'll let's just say this, like I
- 15:45Speaker 3: forget sometimes like Shagsla's sister's been on here, and I'm like, oh, try,
- 15:49Speaker 3: I forgot.
- 15:49Speaker 4: You to come on here.
- 15:51Speaker 3: The sister of shags, the sister of Shagsla. Yes, that's
- 15:54Speaker 3: what will be known as the sister of shag Zillazila.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Anyway, Whila's shagg.
- 16:03Speaker 2: To reverse it. Okay, I don't know. We should try
- 16:07Speaker 2: to get him on because he's a he's a big
- 16:09Speaker 2: it's a big I feel like he would fit in
- 16:12Speaker 2: with the crew. But anyway he came in. He's a
- 16:14Speaker 2: big dude, big Viking blooded dude. So he's like lifting
- 16:19Speaker 2: up the memory foam like nothing, and I'm like, okay, cool,
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm glad you're here. We live everything around you. Get
- 16:25Speaker 2: her situated, We get like all of our supplies laid
- 16:30Speaker 2: out on this little folding table that her sister bought
- 16:34Speaker 2: off of door Dash. She can ship anything anywhere these days.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Yeah, but uh yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 2: And then like you know, I don't know if I
- 16:45Speaker 2: want to get into it, but like the hardest part
- 16:47Speaker 2: of everything right now isn't doing like the infusions because
- 16:51Speaker 2: we've done it before. It's not changed like flushing the drain,
- 16:54Speaker 2: which we've done before. It's not even like doing the
- 16:58Speaker 2: whole showering thing where you know, I get it. We
- 17:01Speaker 2: can't really she can't take a shower because we would
- 17:03Speaker 2: have to tape up half.
- 17:05Speaker 7: Of her body right now with everything that she's got,
- 17:09Speaker 7: you know. So we're doing the hand washing thing, which
- 17:11Speaker 7: I don't mind. That's part of the job, the role,
- 17:14Speaker 7: what I signed up for. But it's this packing of
- 17:20Speaker 7: her of her wounds. So she's had a couple of
- 17:22Speaker 7: drains placed, and.
- 17:25Speaker 2: You know, I don't know, we don't have to get
- 17:27Speaker 2: into it, but I'm going to get into it anyway.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Exhibition do you do?
- 17:30Speaker 4: You man?
- 17:31Speaker 2: So basically there's this process, right, so these drain tracts, right,
- 17:36Speaker 2: you have these drains placed to like take out fluid
- 17:40Speaker 2: or infected fluid whatever, but they leave this kind of
- 17:43Speaker 2: like hole in your skin that goes into your body.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It's like this track that's like a tunnel almost, And
- 17:51Speaker 2: what you have to do to heal them, at least
- 17:54Speaker 2: in her situation, is that you have to take this
- 18:00Speaker 2: medicated sort of little strip, like this cotton strip, and
- 18:04Speaker 2: you have to like use this almost like a big
- 18:08Speaker 2: old Q tip that's like, you know, sanitized. You have
- 18:12Speaker 2: to take it and fold the strip in there and
- 18:14Speaker 2: push it in as far as it'll go to kind
- 18:17Speaker 2: of create space enough for it to heal from the
- 18:20Speaker 2: inside out. And you know, she has one near like
- 18:27Speaker 2: back by her ribs, which is almos. It's healed at
- 18:31Speaker 2: this point, it's healed. It's just like a surface sort
- 18:33Speaker 2: of scab sort of thing, and it's healed. It worked
- 18:36Speaker 2: out fine. The other one is basically a gaping fucking
- 18:41Speaker 2: hole and it's horrible. And imagine like you're trying to
- 18:46Speaker 2: push things into that and everything's so sensitive and it sucks.
- 18:52Speaker 2: And like I'd watched a couple of people do it
- 18:56Speaker 2: in the hospital, but like obviously doing it yourself is
- 19:00Speaker 2: fucking a different story. And like the first time we
- 19:04Speaker 2: went to do it Thursday night, it was just the
- 19:07Speaker 2: worst experience because again, you know, first time doing it,
- 19:13Speaker 2: I'm not really sure of the sign. So I'm looking
- 19:15Speaker 2: at the smaller one that's basically almost like just a
- 19:17Speaker 2: little slit. At that point, it wasn't fully healed, so
- 19:20Speaker 2: I'm like trying to like get the shit in there,
- 19:22Speaker 2: and it's super sensitive because it's near the skin, and
- 19:25Speaker 2: I'm just like, Babe, I'm I don't want to I
- 19:27Speaker 2: can't keep doing this because like I'm hurting you so
- 19:29Speaker 2: much and I don't want to keep doing it. And
- 19:31Speaker 2: then like we take a break, we go back to
- 19:33Speaker 2: the other one, or like we go back to it later,
- 19:36Speaker 2: and then I do the first one first, or the
- 19:40Speaker 2: one that's farther, like farther to the front of her abdomen,
- 19:42Speaker 2: and I open it up and I see that as
- 19:44Speaker 2: just this fucking hole, and I'm like at one point horrified,
- 19:49Speaker 2: at one point relieved because I'm like, this is this
- 19:52Speaker 2: is horrible to see just this hole in your in
- 19:55Speaker 2: your stomach basically, and it's not like it's the size
- 19:58Speaker 2: when maybe like a dime, you know what I mean,
- 20:01Speaker 2: less than that, but it's still like crazy.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I mean, it's still a person.
- 20:06Speaker 2: At this. At the other hand, I'm like, well, this
- 20:08Speaker 2: is going to be a lot easier. I'm relieved I
- 20:11Speaker 2: can I can manage this. There's a lot of room
- 20:13Speaker 2: to work with. The other one we ended up having
- 20:15Speaker 2: like an in home nurse, which shout out to her.
- 20:19Speaker 2: She's gonna be awesome to work with. She's gonna be
- 20:21Speaker 2: here every Tuesday, and she seems super knowledgeable and super
- 20:26Speaker 2: just chill and collected. I feel bad for her because
- 20:30Speaker 2: she's got kind of like allergies to cats, and we
- 20:34Speaker 2: have a cat obviously, right, and she's going to power
- 20:39Speaker 2: through it. And she's one of those people where it's
- 20:41Speaker 2: like I'm allergious to cats, but I have cats and
- 20:43Speaker 2: I hold my cat, and I you know, I'm like,
- 20:46Speaker 2: more power to you, lady. Fight the system, you know,
- 20:49Speaker 2: build up your immunity or whatever. And it was a
- 20:52Speaker 2: good omen because she has the same kind of car
- 20:54Speaker 2: as my lady, so they're gonna work off fine. Anyway.
- 20:59Speaker 2: But she came in and was looking at the h
- 21:04Speaker 2: the wound that we had to do the packing on
- 21:06Speaker 2: farther back by her ribs, and she's like, yeah, this
- 21:09Speaker 2: is almost healed. Yeah, you don't really have to do
- 21:11Speaker 2: too much with this. You just laying on top and
- 21:13Speaker 2: I'm like, thank you God. Yeah, yeah, well that's the thing.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It's like getting to see the body heel in real time.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I've never seen anybody with a
- 21:28Speaker 2: giant like I mean imagine like starting right at the
- 21:33Speaker 2: base of your sternum, going down to just above your
- 21:36Speaker 2: belly button, and then all the way to like you're
- 21:39Speaker 2: like above your hip. Mm hmmm, that's how large her
- 21:43Speaker 2: incision is. Maybe not that long to the hip, but
- 21:46Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Yeah, but like seeing that
- 21:49Speaker 2: kind of you know, stitch itself together has been crazy.
- 21:55Speaker 2: What they did in the hospital, which I didn't know
- 21:57Speaker 2: this was a device they use, but they have a
- 22:00Speaker 2: this there's like a long blue strip and it had
- 22:05Speaker 2: connected to it was this almost like a vacuum pump,
- 22:09Speaker 2: which I don't know if you've ever seen anybody with
- 22:11Speaker 2: one of these, but you basically turn it on and
- 22:13Speaker 2: it like vacuum seals that wound and wound so there's
- 22:19Speaker 2: nothing that can get into that. This is like the
- 22:21Speaker 2: medical episode. People. They're like watching.
- 22:24Speaker 3: House if you like watching House or thinking you know House,
- 22:30Speaker 3: because you've seen the fifteen hundred episodes on TikTok where
- 22:33Speaker 3: it's a clip but really quick before you you know,
- 22:36Speaker 3: I hate about those. It's like you'll be watching a
- 22:38Speaker 3: clip and like you're like, oh, okay, there's you watch
- 22:40Speaker 3: like five parts of it, but the whole time you
- 22:43Speaker 3: just hear this in the background because obviously it's copyright
- 22:45Speaker 3: and something that you just hear Part one, part two,
- 22:48Speaker 3: Part three, Part four, Part five, Part six, watch part four.
- 22:55Speaker 4: It's some guy's voice.
- 22:56Speaker 2: In the background, trying to be like some AI.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Yeah, it's little AI.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yeah, wait till you see what happens next.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I love the ones.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I love the ones where it's just a clip and
- 23:10Speaker 3: it's like a short movie and you.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Have the very generic AI.
- 23:13Speaker 3: The girl jumped into the ball and then the guy
- 23:15Speaker 3: punched her in the face, and then the girl kicked
- 23:17Speaker 3: him in the dick, and then they had dinner. What
- 23:19Speaker 3: will she do next? We'll check out for next four
- 23:21Speaker 3: whether the check out next part?
- 23:23Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, I can't believe it. And then you go
- 23:28Speaker 2: to the simplest meal you'll ever make.
- 23:32Speaker 3: You go to the comments or like the time, what's
- 23:34Speaker 3: the video called? No fuck, there's nothing you don't know
- 23:37Speaker 3: what the fuck the show's called, which is.
- 23:39Speaker 2: All the ads for games like the little mobile games,
- 23:42Speaker 2: like they say, the Triple Arrow is thet God. But
- 23:47Speaker 2: watch this.
- 23:49Speaker 3: We are not like all the games that have fake ads.
- 23:53Speaker 4: We're a real game.
- 23:55Speaker 2: They saw the fake ads and made a real game, then.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Don't don't believe.
- 24:00Speaker 3: We hired the guy from the Boys who plays home
- 24:05Speaker 3: Land to talk about it.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I remember seeing those and he's just like Soul just
- 24:12Speaker 2: has left his body and playing on this massive touch screen.
- 24:15Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, they they made a real game out
- 24:19Speaker 2: of the fake ads. Oh, where is the check cleared yet?
- 24:24Speaker 3: Okay, we gone from Wesley to medical fake ship.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Well, it's kind of funny that you mentioned that, because
- 24:36Speaker 2: like to pass the time in the hospital, obviously there's
- 24:39Speaker 2: not a whole lot to do, so and this happened.
- 24:42Speaker 2: We started this before she went in. But she introduced
- 24:45Speaker 2: me to this game called Karen c A R R
- 24:50Speaker 2: oh I believe. And it's basically a combination. It's basically pool, right,
- 24:57Speaker 2: but you use in the real like the physical game.
- 25:01Speaker 2: You would take these little discs and you have all
- 25:03Speaker 2: these almost like checker pieces in the center of the board,
- 25:08Speaker 2: and you and one red piece, like one that's called
- 25:11Speaker 2: the Queen and you basically have to flick your striker
- 25:15Speaker 2: to get your pieces into the pockets, and there's four pockets.
- 25:19Speaker 2: We have a mobile version that we've been playing, and
- 25:23Speaker 2: it's one of those where it's like, all right, you
- 25:25Speaker 2: played a game, here's he played. You finished a game.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Here's here's an ad or like you look between the
- 25:30Speaker 2: menus too often, here's an ad or, like you want
- 25:34Speaker 2: some more coins? Watch these ads And basically, yeah, you
- 25:39Speaker 2: get a bunch of shitty, shitty ads. But one of
- 25:43Speaker 2: them that I get that she hasn't gotten on her
- 25:47Speaker 2: end because obviously she they know she's a woman somehow,
- 25:50Speaker 2: or like they see what she's looked at and it's
- 25:52Speaker 2: like here, just your princess. Or here go cook this
- 25:55Speaker 2: shit and the White Out Survival a polar Bear and
- 26:01Speaker 2: take its meat, cook it and sell it and buy
- 26:04Speaker 2: a gun and then But like, luckily lately, I've been
- 26:07Speaker 2: getting the ones. Lately, I've been getting the ones where
- 26:11Speaker 2: it's like, boss, I'm changing, you have to make Oh
- 26:15Speaker 2: my god, what is up with that?
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yes, I've been okay, dude, I'm changing.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I literally i've been.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Getting that on my not just like my the games
- 26:25Speaker 3: I play on my phone, which I only played that
- 26:27Speaker 3: one Gods of the Game, and then I play this
- 26:29Speaker 3: like little like uh like put the correct color balls
- 26:34Speaker 3: in the cup ship it's like a puzzle stuff like that.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, put the correct color balls in the cup.
- 26:38Speaker 3: And yeah, yeah, that's that's the actual title. And I'll
- 26:41Speaker 3: get those ads, and I'm like, this is a game
- 26:42Speaker 3: that's like supposed to be like rated E for like
- 26:45Speaker 3: everyone essentially, and like there's Boss I'm changing and it's
- 26:49Speaker 3: like and it's like, what will you do next?
- 26:51Speaker 4: And it's like nothing. I don't want to watch.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Her or watch her watch her change or pretend to
- 26:58Speaker 2: watch her change, or pretend you're not watching her change.
- 27:02Speaker 3: So essentially gas Light.
- 27:06Speaker 2: But no.
- 27:07Speaker 3: The thing I really hate, The thing I really hate
- 27:09Speaker 3: about those like phone ads is when like it gives
- 27:12Speaker 3: you like that option to like skip, but it's just
- 27:14Speaker 3: like a fake X because then you press it and
- 27:17Speaker 3: it opens the fucking game.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 3: And then but then also there's that one where it's like, oh,
- 27:23Speaker 3: you want to you want to exit out, you must
- 27:25Speaker 3: wait forty five seconds.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Oh dude, yeah, you're watching people like in Times Square
- 27:30Speaker 2: with like a fake script or like the Rocket Money
- 27:32Speaker 2: ones where it's like, dude, you're paying thirty subscriptions you
- 27:35Speaker 2: need I hate them back.
- 27:38Speaker 4: You're Gucci, but no, like we had a door.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Dash th oh door dash.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Well, and that's the thing, Like that's the thing, Like
- 27:46Speaker 3: with any ads, obviously, the point is like see.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Obviously like get YouTube invested and interested.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I just hatew I say, it's not being made. There
- 27:56Speaker 3: is no way. It's like look, just not even highering
- 28:02Speaker 3: actors just making it not seem like here we go, Hi, sir,
- 28:07Speaker 3: how many subscriptions do you have?
- 28:10Speaker 4: I don't know?
- 28:11Speaker 3: And it's like no, these people are like supposed to
- 28:13Speaker 3: be like, hey, I don't know who the fuck you are.
- 28:14Speaker 4: I don't know who the all you are.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Like, hey, buddy, you want to make twenty bucks, let
- 28:17Speaker 3: me get how many subscriptions you have?
- 28:19Speaker 2: Dude, there's one for Rocking Money.
- 28:22Speaker 4: I'm saying the name. I'm kidding.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I'm sorry. There's one. There's one for blank blank and
- 28:28Speaker 2: it's this dude driving and like his friends filming him
- 28:33Speaker 2: from the passenger seat. It's like, dude, what are you doing?
- 28:36Speaker 2: You're going to back fast food again? I thought you
- 28:38Speaker 2: were trying to budget. Why do you have two subscriptions
- 28:41Speaker 2: of X xbox or whatever? You just bought a PS
- 28:44Speaker 2: five and his friends just like just indignant, just like
- 28:47Speaker 2: I don't know, man, just fuck fuck up, leave me alone.
- 28:52Speaker 2: So yeah, no, go ahead. Sorry, I'm just saying, like
- 28:55Speaker 2: that's I don't know how we even got on the
- 28:58Speaker 2: topic of ads, do.
- 29:00Speaker 3: I oh, because we're talking about uh like game ads
- 29:04Speaker 3: on your phone.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but still anyway, you know, I mean, other than that,
- 29:13Speaker 2: like we've just been chilling, trying to keep her comfy
- 29:16Speaker 2: and getting back on topic of her like medical ship,
- 29:20Speaker 2: Like it's been good to be home, but obviously there's
- 29:23Speaker 2: like a lot of hurdles still and like or you know,
- 29:26Speaker 2: her recovery is still still in the works. So yeah,
- 29:32Speaker 2: there's been a lot. There's been a lot of stuff
- 29:34Speaker 2: trying to keep us busy, trying to keep us entertained
- 29:37Speaker 2: and watching some shows, playing some games and ship. But obviously,
- 29:42Speaker 2: like the world's got to turn, Like I'm starting a
- 29:44Speaker 2: new job tomorrow, doing an orientation tomorrow, and she's going
- 29:51Speaker 2: to be home. Her family headed out or went back
- 29:56Speaker 2: went back home yesterday, and then my mo coming down
- 30:00Speaker 2: Tuesday afternoon for a few days to help us out
- 30:03Speaker 2: a little bit. So it's been good, man. It's good
- 30:06Speaker 2: to have the sense of community. Yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 3: I I just remember like anytime, like unfortunately, like any
- 30:13Speaker 3: like my family members or anything, but in the hospital,
- 30:15Speaker 3: like coming home, it's always like the whole like and
- 30:17Speaker 3: again you're just like, all right, cool, they made it
- 30:20Speaker 3: through whatever to go home.
- 30:21Speaker 4: Everything's could be all find it.
- 30:22Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, you ever always forgets like the recovery
- 30:24Speaker 3: process and shit, like it's like, uh, that's it, that's it.
- 30:28Speaker 3: That's it's not like a quick like overnight thing.
- 30:31Speaker 2: No. No, I mean you would hope, you would hope
- 30:33Speaker 2: that like by the time you leave the hospital you're
- 30:35Speaker 2: good to go. And no, she's got a few few
- 30:38Speaker 2: weeks left of this antibiotic and uh and then I
- 30:42Speaker 2: alone like seeing that that is the ticket, you know
- 30:46Speaker 2: what I mean. We gotta try to get her more protein,
- 30:50Speaker 2: get her jacked to you. Yeah, so that was actually
- 30:55Speaker 2: one of the things in Dooridast she got was these
- 30:57Speaker 2: inshore protein max shakes or so we'll see, man, we'll
- 31:02Speaker 2: see long intro today.
- 31:04Speaker 3: But yeah, that's the wrong with that.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Do you remember.
- 31:09Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know if I've ever told
- 31:10Speaker 3: the story because I'm thinking not about like just medical stuff,
- 31:13Speaker 3: speaking of recovery. Full closure. I don't know I told
- 31:16Speaker 3: this sory on the podcast. I want to say I have,
- 31:18Speaker 3: but I don't know if I have. Did I ever
- 31:19Speaker 3: tell I know, you know the story. I think I
- 31:20Speaker 3: ever told the story about the girl's nose I accidentally
- 31:23Speaker 3: busted open when I left the hospital after my first
- 31:25Speaker 3: knee surgery.
- 31:28Speaker 2: No, I don't know that story.
- 31:31Speaker 4: You don't know the story.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Seriously, Okay, all right, pulls closure.
- 31:38Speaker 4: This was a complete accident.
- 31:42Speaker 3: I was fucking heavily medicated, and yeah, so uh lonstory short,
- 31:51Speaker 3: my first knee surgery, my partially torn acl meniscus and
- 31:55Speaker 3: other shit. They found it there while they were doing it.
- 31:59Speaker 3: So they the surgery. They say, oh, so resounding success.
- 32:04Speaker 3: We come to find out later the or some other things.
- 32:06Speaker 2: But then.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Star anyway, so this is the this was the Okay,
- 32:12Speaker 3: let me just say this in terms of this medical
- 32:16Speaker 3: facility where I got my first knee op done okay,
- 32:20Speaker 3: with a different surgeon which went to my I guess
- 32:25Speaker 3: current surgeon or old Schurch Wheneber. He said he did
- 32:27Speaker 3: everything as he was supposed to do. My great So
- 32:30Speaker 3: this was one of those ones where like I'm not
- 32:32Speaker 3: gonna lie to you. This is like you're driving to
- 32:36Speaker 3: like we'll see like for example, I don't know what
- 32:38Speaker 3: I think.
- 32:39Speaker 4: I mean, Bruce went probab make sense.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I think like count ole Off, like this guy, you know,
- 32:43Speaker 3: he's a bad guy. You're driving up to like his
- 32:46Speaker 3: like castle, medical building, layership and the entrance of this building.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Okay, you know, like how like with like.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Especially like hotels, like a hotel lobby, like it's easy
- 32:58Speaker 3: to get in and it's easy to get it's almost
- 33:00Speaker 3: like its own circle kind of thing.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Okay, I think like that.
- 33:03Speaker 3: And there's obviously like a little you know, crevice balcony
- 33:06Speaker 3: or balcony, little sun thing whatever the fuck cover over
- 33:10Speaker 3: the main entryway. Thank you Jesus Christ. Sorry, it's been
- 33:15Speaker 3: a long weekend anyway. For some reason though, instead of
- 33:17Speaker 3: these being on flat land, I'm not into the flat
- 33:22Speaker 3: or shit, and so these being on flat land, they're
- 33:24Speaker 3: on a hill. They're going up, so one goes up
- 33:27Speaker 3: and one comes. Yeah, you get where I'm going with this,
- 33:29Speaker 3: by the way, and not like at an angle, so
- 33:31Speaker 3: when you're at the top, you're so kind of like
- 33:32Speaker 3: trugging along a little bit. So the story pretty much
- 33:36Speaker 3: goes like this. So they do my operation. Oh, get
- 33:39Speaker 3: ready for this. They do my operation. They keep in
- 33:41Speaker 3: mind this is my first knee, my first anything surgery.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Obviously I was nervous. Of course, the one day they
- 33:48Speaker 3: say is you can't eat or drink anything like. It's like, like
- 33:49Speaker 3: what twelve hours before and all that shit. Yeah, So
- 33:52Speaker 3: I am parched, I am tired, I am in pain,
- 33:57Speaker 3: I am fucked up.
- 34:00Speaker 4: I am very fucked up.
- 34:04Speaker 3: So we're leaving this hospital and my father's with me,
- 34:09Speaker 3: my stepfather's with me, my mom's with me, and we're
- 34:12Speaker 3: walking out and of course, like you know, let's just
- 34:16Speaker 3: put it this way. Uh, everyone like we're trying to
- 34:20Speaker 3: get me to the sayne first and again, I full disclosure.
- 34:24Speaker 4: I don't know why.
- 34:26Speaker 3: For some reason, this hilltop thing, okay.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Okay, this is the this is the key part. This
- 34:36Speaker 4: like hilltop entryway thing. Patrick. You weren't allowed to drive
- 34:40Speaker 4: up it. It was like a walkway.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Oh of course, great surgery impending.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Right, So okay, So here's what happens.
- 34:47Speaker 3: So we leave the place, and of course my they
- 34:50Speaker 3: were like, okay, how do we get this giant ass
- 34:52Speaker 3: kid in a wheelchair down to the car without eating
- 34:56Speaker 3: shit fucking crazy, or have him walk down a hill
- 35:01Speaker 3: with a fucking surgically torn acl knee repair.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Again, So I'm picturing this right. You have to go
- 35:07Speaker 2: downhill to get to your car, right, correct, because the
- 35:10Speaker 2: curb is right there, right. So what happened was so
- 35:14Speaker 2: the late is.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Late this like very nice nurse assistant. She comes out,
- 35:17Speaker 4: and I thought this.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Is not a correct term for her profession. She comes out,
- 35:21Speaker 3: she goes, Hey, don't worry about it. We do this
- 35:22Speaker 3: all the time. She goes, We've had guys bigger than him.
- 35:25Speaker 3: We got this one. They're like really like, yeah, we're
- 35:26Speaker 3: gonna wheel him down. We went to your car. She's like, oh, okay.
- 35:30Speaker 3: So my dad goes gets his truck. My mom and
- 35:35Speaker 3: Scott they go get their car. So they do is
- 35:38Speaker 3: they both pull up right the curb and because while
- 35:41Speaker 3: I just had my knee done, I'm gonna get to
- 35:42Speaker 3: my dad's pickup truck because there's a lot more room
- 35:44Speaker 3: and I should be, you know, be bending my fucking
- 35:46Speaker 3: knee right away, even though the house were like you
- 35:48Speaker 3: want to try to bend in t which I literally,
- 35:50Speaker 3: I'll never forget this. I was in was the freshman
- 35:52Speaker 3: in high school, and the doctor's like, hey, Charlie, freely,
- 35:54Speaker 3: let's just try to get one bed to inch I
- 35:56Speaker 3: pretty much I literally said, fuck, no.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Thought it was. I was so fucked up.
- 36:03Speaker 3: So and like it's actually kind of funny, like, well,
- 36:06Speaker 3: I'm talking about this because like with how like my
- 36:08Speaker 3: throat is right now, Like my throat was really dry
- 36:10Speaker 3: and shit.
- 36:11Speaker 4: So like I'm like pounding waters.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Okay, But for some reason, of course we're in this
- 36:15Speaker 3: medical facility and the only waters are giving me are
- 36:18Speaker 3: these the waters like the little Dixie cups you take
- 36:20Speaker 3: with your pills.
- 36:20Speaker 4: I'm like, what, like, give me the fucking jug man, So.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Show me, show me where the faucet is.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Seriously, you want to see me walk, let me go,
- 36:30Speaker 3: fucking point me to the faucet. So anyway, for some reason,
- 36:34Speaker 3: the point being, my throat is dry, I'm tired, I'm
- 36:36Speaker 3: in a lot of pain. All I wanted, and I
- 36:39Speaker 3: don't know why. All I wanted was a mountain dew.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Classic.
- 36:46Speaker 4: This is all I wanted.
- 36:49Speaker 3: So my dad he goes to get his truck.
- 36:53Speaker 8: My mom goes back into the hospital to the vending
- 36:55Speaker 8: machine to get me a mountain dew, and that was
- 36:58Speaker 8: the one thing I remember about this. This mount by
- 37:00Speaker 8: the way, was ice fucking cold, so I literally had
- 37:06Speaker 8: the thing on my leg because where's my knees, like
- 37:08Speaker 8: fucking swollen.
- 37:10Speaker 3: I'm like, oh great, this will be nice, like oh cool,
- 37:12Speaker 3: you know, kind of nothing a little bit more. Anyway,
- 37:15Speaker 3: So we're walking down this hill and the reason my
- 37:17Speaker 3: dad was so nervous was because while yes, I am
- 37:19Speaker 3: a bigger guy, you had this little scrawny medical assistant
- 37:22Speaker 3: helping me down this hill. This was a surgery and January,
- 37:25Speaker 3: end of January, beginning of February, so it's cold, icy
- 37:28Speaker 3: and shit your salt everywhere.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Okay.
- 37:31Speaker 3: So finally, after all this worry, after me telling the
- 37:34Speaker 3: doctor the fuck off all this shit, we get down
- 37:37Speaker 3: to the bottom and she and me, being me, I'm
- 37:42Speaker 3: trying to help a little bit, so I'm kind of rushing.
- 37:46Speaker 3: So this nurse gets me down to the curb and
- 37:50Speaker 3: she proceeds to start trying to lock my wheelchair because
- 37:52Speaker 3: they're gonna help me up, put me in the truck
- 37:55Speaker 3: and to drive off. I'm trying to be one step ahead,
- 37:57Speaker 3: and I'm trying to help her. So for some reason,
- 38:00Speaker 3: I'll never forget this. She couldn't get the left side locked,
- 38:04Speaker 3: so I did beyond and I locked the right side myself.
- 38:11Speaker 3: And so I have the bottle of moundw in my
- 38:13Speaker 3: left hand and I go to hand it to my
- 38:15Speaker 3: mom because she's approaching me, and I go hey, and
- 38:19Speaker 3: I'll never forget I go, hey, mom, can you take
- 38:21Speaker 3: this mountain dew? Can you take this mound du I
- 38:24Speaker 3: didn't say, I'm sure. I give the bush like hey,
- 38:26Speaker 3: he thinks mandhu, So I can do this shit. So
- 38:29Speaker 3: as I go to give her the mond du I don't.
- 38:31Speaker 3: I don't gradually slowly gently put the mountain dew out.
- 38:35Speaker 4: For her grasp. I just go here, grab this mountain dew.
- 38:39Speaker 4: And as I do that.
- 38:41Speaker 3: This medicalists for some reason, decides to hunch down by
- 38:44Speaker 3: the wheel to lock it, and she proceeds to full
- 38:47Speaker 3: force put her fucking nose into the top of the
- 38:51Speaker 3: mountain dew.
- 38:52Speaker 4: As I full for it's fucking bad.
- 38:54Speaker 3: She Let's just say this that mound dew had a
- 38:58Speaker 3: little code read to it.
- 38:59Speaker 2: After damn, her nose busts it up. Damn.
- 39:08Speaker 3: And of course we're all like, oh, ship, thankfully, not
- 39:12Speaker 3: that she nothing happened, but like, thankfully some other people
- 39:15Speaker 3: saw this that worked there, and they came right away
- 39:18Speaker 3: and like snatched her to make sure she was all good.
- 39:21Speaker 3: And Ship, yeah, I'm and she's like, she's like it's okay,
- 39:26Speaker 3: and me, I'm all fucked up.
- 39:27Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm I'm sorry.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I know what I did so.
- 39:39Speaker 3: So bust her nose and I feel terrible.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Okay, but here's the thing though, I didn't.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Realize how much blood it was. I thought I was
- 39:46Speaker 3: just like, oh, Ship, like she might just like her.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Nose was bleeding a little bit.
- 39:49Speaker 3: So they get me in the car. This nurse is
- 39:54Speaker 3: still trying to help, and my dad my dad is.
- 39:56Speaker 4: Doing like the go like please, we don't want to.
- 40:00Speaker 3: My Dad's like, we don't want to make your day
- 40:02Speaker 3: any worse.
- 40:03Speaker 4: So I get in the truck.
- 40:07Speaker 3: And there's all these people they also like all these
- 40:09Speaker 3: people like are circling her, like checking her out on
- 40:11Speaker 3: her nose and Ship, and I finally like like the
- 40:13Speaker 3: first time, like I fully like see the damage I did.
- 40:15Speaker 3: She was literally in like the typical blue scrubs. That
- 40:21Speaker 3: ship was Yeah, that ship got tossed, dude. We're driving
- 40:28Speaker 3: off and we're driving off and I just look, here's
- 40:31Speaker 3: the thing.
- 40:33Speaker 4: And I look at it.
- 40:33Speaker 3: I could see like the sidewalker's blood. And then it
- 40:36Speaker 3: was this when that's why I make the core because
- 40:37Speaker 3: I finally at I look at the mound duwe bottle.
- 40:39Speaker 2: And I saw them.
- 40:40Speaker 4: My mom the best she could to wipe it off.
- 40:43Speaker 3: My dad and my dad goes, you're not gonna drink it?
- 40:46Speaker 3: Are you touch? I'm like, I didn't touch the cap,
- 40:48Speaker 3: didn't get in the drink.
- 40:50Speaker 4: D I chuck. I chucked that ship and.
- 40:55Speaker 3: It's fucking gross, dude.
- 40:57Speaker 9: Like I'm like I was to me, nothing was stopping
- 41:02Speaker 9: me from heavy my muttain de. Nothing stops me when
- 41:07Speaker 9: I want something. I said, I don't care how much
- 41:11Speaker 9: bud too much bed, I don't care.
- 41:13Speaker 4: Didn't affect me. At the end of the day. The
- 41:16Speaker 4: goal was to get a do and I got the do.
- 41:19Speaker 2: So yeah, mild I've never heard that story.
- 41:23Speaker 3: I am shocked because literally, you were the first person
- 41:26Speaker 3: other than like the extended family that came to the house.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Because I don't know if you remember, because that my
- 41:30Speaker 3: dad bought us a crave case from that one miniature
- 41:34Speaker 3: you burger place that we demolished.
- 41:37Speaker 2: God, dude, those days are well past us now. Anytime
- 41:43Speaker 2: I eat it that specific burger place, I was gonna say,
- 41:50Speaker 2: burger place named after a medieval structure. I was gonna
- 41:54Speaker 2: that has a color we will not name. Dude, I
- 41:58Speaker 2: can't do it anymore. But no, that is wild. I don't.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Maybe maybe back then you told me what happened, but like, yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 2: it's been so long.
- 42:06Speaker 3: No, And it was one of those things where I
- 42:08Speaker 3: literally I'll never forget I got home, it was still
- 42:11Speaker 3: a long day because.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I'll never forget that.
- 42:14Speaker 2: This is why.
- 42:14Speaker 3: This is why it's like it's I hate this shit now.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Like maybe it's because we're in our thirties.
- 42:19Speaker 2: You know.
- 42:21Speaker 3: I typically remember a lot of like what I do
- 42:23Speaker 3: and eat. There's some meals I couldn't tell you what
- 42:26Speaker 3: I had for lunch, breakfast or dinner last week. But
- 42:29Speaker 3: I literally remember that specific day because you had the surgery.
- 42:33Speaker 3: I busted this nurse's nose up and that was the
- 42:35Speaker 3: first day of NFL free agency.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Don't why I remember that.
- 42:40Speaker 3: So I'm like watching all these news and of course
- 42:42Speaker 3: I'm I'm messed up, and I'm like what the fuck
- 42:45Speaker 3: how are you doing in terms of the bears, which
- 42:47Speaker 3: is nothing? Now we're doing something.
- 42:49Speaker 4: And then the next day I wake up, I'm on
- 42:52Speaker 4: the couch.
- 42:53Speaker 3: I'm still a lot of pain, but I can actually
- 42:55Speaker 3: kind of start moving my leg a little bit, and
- 42:58Speaker 3: my mom comes in with like some like like a
- 43:00Speaker 3: little breakfast, and I'm just like, I just remember I
- 43:04Speaker 3: just went Please tell me that nose thing was fake.
- 43:07Speaker 3: She goes, oh, you thought you didn't do that, And
- 43:09Speaker 3: I'm like, I feel so bad, and to my mom
- 43:13Speaker 3: what she tried to do? She and I this is
- 43:15Speaker 3: the weird part full culture. Nothing ever happened after that,
- 43:18Speaker 3: but like I tried to my like my mom tried
- 43:20Speaker 3: to do on my behalf.
- 43:21Speaker 4: She tried to contact the uh.
- 43:25Speaker 3: The medical center to get that person's name, which I
- 43:28Speaker 3: mean might sound a little sketch. Hi, this is this
- 43:30Speaker 3: is a nice little old lady, nice little lady Colleen
- 43:33Speaker 3: to get information on someone.
- 43:35Speaker 4: My mom is a different accent.
- 43:38Speaker 3: She she called it, try to get the ladies information
- 43:40Speaker 3: because she wanted like I wanted, Like I said, I
- 43:42Speaker 3: want to send her like some flowers, like like a
- 43:44Speaker 3: handwritten apology because I.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Feel I felt terrible like, what do you want?
- 43:51Speaker 3: I felt so bad and they wouldn't give it to her,
- 43:53Speaker 3: and all they tod was like like, ma'am, she's fine.
- 43:56Speaker 3: She didn't break her nose. She didn't she to my
- 43:59Speaker 3: mom said that.
- 43:59Speaker 4: He said that. He said that you.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Literally, you literally just got the you just got the
- 44:03Speaker 3: perfect hit. And I'm like, I'm not proud of that either, Mother, Like, like,
- 44:11Speaker 3: I literally hit this moment's nose on axe with.
- 44:13Speaker 4: A Mondo bottle and her fucking nose split.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Worse. I know, actually makes me feel worse. Not only
- 44:20Speaker 2: did I not only did I break somebody's nose, but
- 44:24Speaker 2: I did it perfectly. Thank god, thank god.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Yeah, thank god I didn't break your nose. But I
- 44:31Speaker 3: apparently got the perfect aim in terms of like, hmm, okay,
- 44:33Speaker 3: if we hit right here, we'll bring it. But we
- 44:35Speaker 3: hit right here, is gonna be a guer.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah, when when you're drugged up, you turn into fucking
- 44:40Speaker 2: Bruce Lee.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Apparently, Apparently when I'm drunk, when I'm fucked up on
- 44:43Speaker 3: drugs after a medical procedure, I Bruce Lee with with
- 44:46Speaker 3: the aiming skills of Hawkeye.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Jackie Jackie Chan, you just grab whatever you have and
- 44:53Speaker 2: John wick before you, John, Wait.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Any anything anything within my vicinity, weapon anything so weapon
- 45:00Speaker 3: even the mountain, dude, I'll never forget till we get home.
- 45:05Speaker 3: We got to the house finally, and like my dad
- 45:07Speaker 3: also get out of the car and my.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Stepfather comes up to me.
- 45:11Speaker 3: He goes to him, did he really drink him out
- 45:14Speaker 3: on too? And my dad just chakes his hand. He goes, Charlie,
- 45:16Speaker 3: you're fucking sick.
- 45:18Speaker 4: I'm like it was clean. I wiped it off. The
- 45:20Speaker 4: fucking won for me. I'm fucked up for this.
- 45:26Speaker 10: You know, I have a point being eat Sorry, even
- 45:29Speaker 10: in these hours of times with like medical stuff, you
- 45:33Speaker 10: always got to try to find the ways to like
- 45:35Speaker 10: make light of it and like have not say, have
- 45:37Speaker 10: a good time, but like you know, put a smile
- 45:39Speaker 10: on a face.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Well, now I wouldn't accidentally hitting a medical assist in
- 45:43Speaker 3: the face.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I wouldn't. It'd been like, h it's funny
- 45:48Speaker 2: you mention that because you remind me of a story.
- 45:50Speaker 2: So she had been moved to a couple of different
- 45:53Speaker 2: rooms at different points in her stay, and uh, one
- 45:56Speaker 2: one day, like we were next door to this old
- 45:58Speaker 2: lady who was just losing her ship, just being like,
- 46:03Speaker 2: how do you can't stick me with any drugs? You're
- 46:06Speaker 2: trying to kill me. I don't want to die of
- 46:09Speaker 2: my own free you will like crazy stuff, And so
- 46:12Speaker 2: I asked, is she a crazy old ladyer?
- 46:14Speaker 4: She's a crazy layer from the mist? What the fuck?
- 46:18Speaker 2: Well, anyway, so I learned a new expression and uh
- 46:22Speaker 2: in in banga and it's I'll give it to you
- 46:27Speaker 2: daughter Mata got up, which basically translates to that bitch
- 46:34Speaker 2: is crazy. And you say that, I say it fasta
- 46:39Speaker 2: got up? No, trust me, I have to practice a lot. Okay,
- 46:51Speaker 2: repeat after me, buddy, dar Mata Mata got up, caught up,
- 47:03Speaker 2: We got chacha, that bitch is crazy. And it was
- 47:09Speaker 2: fun and it's become like kind of a running inside
- 47:12Speaker 2: joke between us.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Well, like what is this?
- 47:14Speaker 2: It's it's called it's Bangala, which is what they speak
- 47:17Speaker 2: in West Bengal. Okay, there's a lot of different languages
- 47:24Speaker 2: in India, because Indias I've got very distinct different regions
- 47:28Speaker 2: and influences from different parts of the world. Obviously, but yeah, no,
- 47:33Speaker 2: that became a running joke. So, yeah, the bit of
- 47:35Speaker 2: levity helps to go a long way, especially just to
- 47:40Speaker 2: keep people's minds off of things and anyway
