- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: And we're on!
- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: This is BYPC CFB.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_03]: There is no family clients here today.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's in Italy.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: Wouldn't we all want to be there?
- 0:29[SPEAKER_03]: Right-crap, right-call-crap?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_03]: I've been there before.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Let's check the box.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_03]: But in this place, we have Aliyah Jskinson of FIFN.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_03]: How are you, Ali, and introduce yourself to our audience.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm doing really well.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'll appreciate you guys having me on a great to get a message from size to see and look.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to swing myself in it early.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's raining outside because I'm talking to you guys.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: So he's clearly I'm in a bad, but it's not a bit weather-wise than me.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, great to join you guys.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: As you said, from PFF and Pro football, and that work I've been there, close for one list there for a long time.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Start just in a field draft analyst there in 2021.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: very passionate about college football which might seem unusual from this side of the pond.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm looking forward to chopping up what you guys.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_03]: And as always this show is brought to you by Progressive Insurance America's number one auto-insuregoderprogressive.com for more details.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: All right, we're going to start here with the new guy in place of Simon Klein said we usually start with Simon.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_03]: There was one show where I started with Kyle and Simon was like, what's going on?
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: Why aren't you asking me the first question?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: So, uh, what were the best things you saw last week?
- 1:43[SPEAKER_03]: Because I thought, look, I had a very, very good time watching college football.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: It was polar to post.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: Miami Clemson night everybody knows I'm a I'm a hurricane's fan.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_03]: So I was watching with great interest Although a lot of people are saying well why would that why was that game none not not on at night and You know, why was the SEC getting all the bad all the bad spots up against each other and by the way the SEC has Laged a complaint with ESPN about not getting any night games the last three weeks So we'll start here Ali what were the best things you saw last week?
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so I didn't realize, so he's TV so quite nice.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I didn't realize you were a Kane's man.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to talk a little bit about Cooper Barkay because this Miami Clemson game, obviously from a college football perspective, was one of the biggest games of the ACC calendar.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: Or at least it should be because Clemson should be competitive and obviously the season isn't really going in the tag as way for a number of different reasons.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: And we could talk about that all day, but we were one of the biggest things for me from that game was look.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone wants to dare immense and perform against a competent team, because Miami's schedule hasn't been that difficult.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone wants to see Malak and I tell many perform against a competent team for the same reason.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: For me, when you look at that game, it's the emergence of Cooper Barker as a legitimate, not just college football, why receivable, and an illegitimate NFL draft prospect, as we move into the 2007 NFL draft cycle.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: We knew going into this game or suddenly if you want to do glasses and like you know what Cooper Barker can do is at the catch point in his excellent as a blocker is excellent.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's like it's very underrated nationally, but he does a lot of the core parts of playing wire receiver to be very well.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: What blew me away was the speed on the touchdown run for Cooper Barker.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: I was like I did not know that this guy had it in him, like Malachi Tony, you expect it.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: like you expect Malikai Tony to be this absolute weapon after the catch.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Cooper Barker, I was like, got down there and shut up Malikai Tony's blocking on that play as well, to be fair, like he's not necessarily open the land all the way for Cooper Barker, but like for a diminutive guy like Malikai Tony's going at it, so yeah, I thought I was awesome to see from the Miami Clemson game and that was one of the first
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: So one of the things, this is a lot to take away from the week five slate of college football from both a college perspective and an NFL draft perspective, but I just to start with your wheelhouse out of then as a Keynes, as a Keynes guy like Cooper Barker, for me like incredible performance and an announcement himself as an emerging NFL draft tell.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, um, that was something that I remember in training camp, Kyle, we were talking and I told you, you want to, you want to hot take and you're like, what?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, what did I tell you?
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: Cooper Barcait is faster than Malachi Tony and he runs sub four five and he hit 21 miles an hour in that game against Clemson.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_03]: So what were the best things you saw, Kyle?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: Because I got a special one when you're done here.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: God, I don't know.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: I got a pretty special one too.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: I have two.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: The first one being Will Stein and Kentucky choosing to go for two at the end of overtime.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: The walk off South Carolina and say we're not going to do this whole song and dance and play 12 overtime periods like A&M and LSU did a few years back and do the dueling 2 point conversions.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: That was one thing that I thought was awesome and to get rewarded for that decision to get the walkoff when I thought was one of my favorite decisions throughout college football in a very entertaining game.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: But what would you guys say if I told you that James Franklin's football team had a two touchdown lead in a big game against the big opponent that didn't have any losses and they managed to find the way to lose the football game.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: Tigers never changed their stripes.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: James Franklin football team finding a way to do the thing that they did for years at Penn State.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing that was missing was pit being ranked because that would have been like the last box to check for the narrative on what is a stone cold lock James Franklin heartbreaking loss.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't Penn State grads.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: So like I've endured a lot of them.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: I've experienced a lot of them.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: So to see that game play out exactly the way that it did was
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: Low and behold, there you go.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously heart breaking fashion on the field goal and everybody had a different angle in the stadium of where their camera was and whether they thought it was a missed kick or a made kick.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: All I know is the final score reads pit 35 for junior attack 33 and that was for the narratives and the bit for James Franklin alone makes it one of the best things that I saw in college football as we get.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: And since that game, by the way, that game was not helpful to my bank account.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: But since that game, somebody has posted like a video and made a physics-based model of where the ball actually passed when it reached the point of the uprights and it was 14 inches wide to the left.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: So there is no conspiracy.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: the refs actually did get it correct this time uh... i got a few and as customary i'll give you three actual ones but i'll give you a funny one to start okay colorado texas tech there's a sequence in that game i didn't watch it okay mind you i did not watch it so i i can't i'm not gonna lie to you and say i saw it live i went back and saw it because i didn't believe what i was hearing they lined up
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: So naturally, you got a panic, right?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: So you call a timeout, you regroup, send out your correct 11, right?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: You call timeout, you organize what you're going to send out there.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: And this time you send eight players.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: And the player gets, and the player gets run.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_03]: Now, to top it all off, I did not know this either.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: Colorado does not have a special team's coach.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they need to hire one.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess I'll ask you very briefly and then I'll give you my three.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_03]: We're nearing the end here with the on Sanders correctly.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think that.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: The longer it goes on, the less you can make a claim or an argument, the deonsanders who's doing anything positive for that program, because now all the attention that, you know, about second season where they look like, oh, well, they may actually be a legitimate football team and like the whole attention that Coach Prime brings to the Colorado is really having a positive impact on this program.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: And right now, there's nothing to hang it out on from the positive
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: or are there?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's every single week that's something else.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: So like on the field to your point there, like the special teams, lack of a special teams coordinator, like coach prime's always so on and we don't need to worry about the special teams coordinator.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like, well, this is what this is it you do.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's the whole thing like before the Northwestern game with the players, more players released in the last week, like there is something every week with this
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: you just cannot, but you just cannot continue in this direction with the on-field product, but also everything that comes off-field as well.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I've seen a few posts this week about a future of Julian Leris at that program and what a heralded capture for Colorado and like the thing that you want to hang your hat on with having Deon Sanders as you coach is like, hey, we can recruit these guys that we have never been able to bring this hip to Colorado.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, look what you did with it.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you write really screwed the whole thing up with Julian Larry, so it was who could be an incredible talent.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: Probably will be an incredible talent somewhere else over the then Colorado.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I just can't see how it goes beyond this season with the on-field and the off-field products, Colorado.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: Carl?
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: You have to, if he survives, they will have earned it because they've got number 12 Utah, Oklahoma State in at Oklahoma State the next two weeks.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: They've got Houston on the schedule.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: They have to go to ASU.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: So at two and three and having lost all three of their consecutive losses by multiple
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: The smack talk before the Northwestern game, just to get boat race by five touchdowns in that contest, it feels very unsustainable.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I kind of agree is, you know, we got through having Shiloh and Shudder go through the program and got the coach him through till the end of the college, their college careers and now it might be time to turn the page for everybody.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's just so many times you could just say, hey, I brought you nine wins and I brought you a Heisman, you know, it's four years later and his standard was we're going to compete for a national championship.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: They haven't competed for a conference championship as of yet.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: And it doesn't seem like it's, and all he does is really complain about, wow, we don't have any money.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they're paying you $11 million a year at the end, okay?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's part of the problem.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_03]: All right, as customer, I'll give you my three, my number three is Damon Wilson.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's as good as a key measure to her.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_03]: He just has, by the way, some news on my case life foot, you know that, you know, the University of Miami will not release any information as far as injury.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: So what I can tell you is it's either a shoulder injury or a concussion and nobody knows.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_03]: He threw either way, but it's not season ending and Mark East Life will be back, but Damon Wilson's my number three, two and a half stacks, 11 pressures.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: If there was a stat for holding penalties not called, I think he would have won that one too, because
- 11:59[SPEAKER_03]: just watching the broadcast.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: It was shocking how many times he was just flat out being held and nothing was being called.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: So they went well since my number three.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: Number two is Austin Simmons and Missouri.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of clowned them last week saying, welcome to the top 25 again.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: Missouri Tigers, they showed that they deserved to be there.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: They're a fabulous team.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: To my Robert with two 70 yard plus touchdown runs, we knew that they could run the ball, they could play, they could play some physical defense.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: They have a star quarterback now, but don't get too excited because check out this schedule.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: this murder.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't care what you think about A&M.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's still the necessary C-game against a decent quarterback and what's supposed to be a decent roster.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_03]: They got Ole Miss, Arkansas is, that's the pushover.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_03]: Then Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, which is not that good.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_03]: But so, yeah, if you think that this is their first step towards
- 13:08[SPEAKER_03]: But he's my number two.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: Number one was Alabama Mississippi State Kielan Russell.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_03]: He was spectacular.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: Kielan the board is now 18 and five in ranked versus ranked games.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: So Alabama overall was the best thing I saw last week.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_03]: They look like a national championship contender.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to go to break and when we come back we'll tell you what we're
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: Right, Ali, what are you watching this week?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: I looked at the scheduling Saturdays not too appetizing except for, of course, the main event.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: But I kind of like Friday.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: Friday is gonna be a pretty big day in college football.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: But what are you watching this coming weekend?
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm an unashamed weekday conference here at SAF and so I'm not looking forward to watching only two teams with a winning record of play in cross four games over the next two nights, but when it comes to Saturday, I think there's one game with all those circles which we're going to get to in a little while, but for me, as a pure college football fan, rivalry games don't get too much bigger than Texas O'Clauma, and obviously you're too stunning then,
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: the greatest team in the country right now, but I think when you talk about the Red River rivalry or the Red River shooter or the showdown where you want to call it year on year like for some reason they bring it both teams seem to bring it every year.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: So you would think it would be a Texas walkover and just based on everything we know about both teams coming into this game and particularly the offensive struggles for.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: for the soon as, but when the, when the state fairs were rocking and you, half crimson cream, half been orange or anything can happen in that game.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm super excited for that.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see excited see how our tomorrow handles the pressure of that game but environment and probably the toughest defense that he's faced this season and then Colin Simmons against an Oklahoma offensive line.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: We just recorded our prediction for this game for
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: The Oklahoma offensive wine has been something you've been able to hang your hat on as a soon as a fan for so many years and like you guys on those NFL draft year on year is always a guy or two guys sometimes three of four guys on that soon as a offensive line.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: It just isn't there this year to call in Simmons against that defensive air of offensive wine like I'm super intrigued to see that.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: I've definitely got Texas Oklahoma ring this, sit down, don't move for four hours, but this was sneaky good games too, UCLA and Oregon, Stanford and Notre Dame, UCF and Oklahoma state like they're this was sneaky good games in what like a surface level doesn't walk like a really appetizing slate, but there isn't some really sneaky games in that.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I feel like I come on here every week and I stand for some West Coast football.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm glad that Oliver mentioned the UCLA Oregon game where obviously the the Dante more injury is a buzz kill, but they have Dylan rail behind him and obviously such a compelling player with what he showed you in flashes at Nebraska if you could get yourself over the Patrick
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: much better than what he did at the end of the 10 to 10 year and obviously that was a bumpy and rocky road and I think there's some chances for some really prolific quarterback play in that game and and if you're on the hunt for that kind of thing at least at the college level has he has to be very entertaining game and.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think that has a chance to sneaky be as good as or as entertaining of a game is as what the USC Washington game was last weekend where those two teams played each other pretty competitively and I thought that was a great game So that's a game for me.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very much looking forward to watching and seeing if those guys can continue to trend upward
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for me, Friday, Friday is a pretty big day and I think when the season started nobody ever thought that week six, you know, Nico, Amy Layba versus Dylan Riala, like, that's gonna be a big matchup, but it actually is a pretty big matchup.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the biggest one on Friday.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_03]: I have a bunch of like loser-go-home games on Friday.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: If you pay attention,
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: loser of that game, uh, goodbye, your seasons essentially over.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_03]: You can't play in the ACC championship game, uh, especially Louisville who's lost two games in Explicably.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: Iowa, Washington.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_03]: that one's another one that I would look at.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I will lose it still Ohio State.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's no, you know, it's, it's not a shame to lose to Ohio State.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: But you lose another one.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_03]: And you're probably on the outside looking in.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_03]: And we pretty much have the big 10 championship locked up in week six, which is odd to say, but it's the truth.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: And I will state BYU's another one.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking at
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: They look much better this past week.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_03]: BYU did not look all that great.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_03]: The ranked eighth.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's an important game also for BYU.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's move on to our biggest game of the week.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_03]: There's a hurricane on the way over there and depending on who you listen to This thing is gonna be postponed moved played on Sunday Which would be just awful like if you're gonna play this thing played on Monday night Don't don't put it up against the NFL on a Sunday
- 18:53[SPEAKER_03]: Can you imagine the SEC is already complaining about not getting that game at night?
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: Now and not getting any night games like they're complaining about Clemson Miami.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: They're complaining about FSU Miami next week, which is also a night game.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: So imagine putting them up against the NFL.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard, yeah, they might move it to Sunday and I saw that and I'm like,
- 19:15[SPEAKER_03]: If you've heard me complain about call a football on Friday nights, which I don't think is a good thing, because you're going up against high school football, and people like to go see their kids play, or even catch, like, especially locally here in Miami, like, we have some pretty, some nationally ranked teams.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like that.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: Imagine putting it now up against the NFL, like that would be an awful thing.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_03]: But more likely or not, I hope that they move it to Monday if they are going to move the game at all.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, that's my game of the week.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: What is your game of the week, Ollie?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_03]: And what do you see as far as happening in your game of the week?
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty certain it's going to be three for three.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: We're all going to say Georgia Alabama.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: So your thoughts, Ollie.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's comfortably Georgia, Al-Banner-I, and we're talking about who ever wins this game, should be viewed as a number one team in the country, regardless of what happens in back to the playroom.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: And these two teams, I think, so far, have put on display another resume to say who ever wins this game is a number one team in the country.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: And they're two very different teams for two very different reasons.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: When you touched on Keelum Russell, and his performance last week, like Keelum Russell is a Ferrari for this Alabama offense.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is a kid who has got all the arm talent.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's got all the athletic capability.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's still young.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's still relatively inexperienced.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: But when you watch that Alabama Mississippi State game, he was everything you wanted to be for an Alabama quarterback if you're an Alabama fan.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got this like Ferrari driving the Alabama or offense in Kielan, Russell, and Ryan Coleman Williams looks good again.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like he looks like he can catch a ball for the first time in God knows how long.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: And they've got guys appearing left right and sent her on there on there.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Why have you seen the room and running back in the offensive line looks good.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then you compare up to Georgia, which I think Georgia is far in a way the best football team in the country.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: but they do it in a very different way and it's a very like Kirby Smart way for me like we think back to Kirby Smart's best teams that are ones that were the came into the season where it was like oh I'm not really sure if George is the best team in the country and they have a guy at court back who isn't flashy in the same way with Kiel and Russell it's been going to stop to there's a legitimate
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: college football quarterback.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then in some respects it reminds me of Statson Bennett's time at Georgia where no one gave Statson Bennett really credit for what he could do as a quarterback.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: And we're not talking about as an NFL draft prospect or like what his pro prospects are going to be where he gets to the NFL.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's a legitimate college football quarterback who will win you a game on you, on his shoulders, we can weak out.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think this Georgia team has got all those hallmarks of the most successful Bulldogs teams that Kirby smart has got.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think the difference is there's not like what I would call it a star necessary.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: When you think back to those dominant Georgia teams, I was like, oh, they've got Jordan Davis and they've got Nicole Bedean and they've got like calaringo and there was always a name like you nationally recognised now.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: They've got some guys coming through, but
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: They just saw it, front to back, left to right, top to bottom, offense to defense specialty, and like this Georgia Bulldogs team has got very, very few holes, and so I think this game is fascinating because it's a clash of like flashy Alabama.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is truly solid, juvenile in Georgia.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it will be a close game.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think this isn't the first time that we potentially see these two teams play each other.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: But as I sit and do bold projections and call you to all playoff predictions each week, I might... You know what?
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's a world where this is the first of the trilogy.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I would absolutely be all in for that this season.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think wherever you look, there's a battle that's going to be what amongst the best one on one battles in the country this weekend.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: a just thing, this game, and I don't want to steal the SEC's mile, this game will legitimately just does me more because it means so much for the SEC, means so much for the college football playoff, and it means so much for the trajectory for the rest of the SEC, the rest of the season for the two programs, because they're essentially going to go out of this game as a number one team in a country.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm probably, I'm probably co-host down the rest of the way to selection Sundays in a number one team in a country.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I completely agree with you on Georgia.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_03]: They look like the best football team I've seen all year.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that there were the best team last year.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_03]: But for the playoff started last year, I famously picked Miami and Georgia to meet in the semi-final and everybody thought I was crazy on Miami's part.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_03]: But I tried to explain to everybody when your defensive line in your offensive line is as good as Miami's.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: It tends to push you along the way.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: George I thought was they were upset by Ole Miss last year.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_03]: I was that was the biggest shock of the college football season last year I do think that Georgia is the best team in the country this year.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing I struggle with is gunner stocked in the most Georgia quarterback of all Georgia quarterbacks Man, he's gonna be the inferior quarterback in this game and I don't I'm
- 24:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not putting a dime on the game.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not comfortable picking one way or the other.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: Alvin will look great to me.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's my, that's my game of the week as well.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_03]: Kyle, what is your game of the week?
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: Let me get that.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: Come on.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: He guys have some that are perfectly.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the last thing that she said there is the prevailing thought that I have is,
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: If you ask me to put something down with conviction on this game, I wouldn't have any.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, it's, you could tell me that it plays out either way, and I would totally believe it.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's what has the makings with great teams and what the stakes that are at hand, and especially with Georgia kind of has like a murderers row.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think the next month they play three ranked teams in the top 20, and so that their schedules really start to mount up and they have to get it off on the right foot to make sure
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: uh leave the space and behind this game to have the wiggle room to have it play out and if you get a bad bounce of the ball you still have everything in front of each one of halves so I think George has got a little bit more in the line in this game personally and obviously it's it's in Tuscaloosa so um it should be a very very entertaining game it is the game in the week most NFL town on the field to boot.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to watch this game or not.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they're going to play this game.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_03]: Who knows one Tuesday, Monday, whatever.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think they're going to have a decision on this by tomorrow, which Thursday, they're cutting it kind of close because I think teams should be traveling already by Friday.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we shall see.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, we're going to call it right here.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's been it's been a great show.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: Sam and Clancy's replacement for the episode was very, very good.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_03]: How did you like your first alright for a into through IPCC FBI?
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll see a little to go.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to spend an hour two hours just trying to coach for more of you.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: I say I appreciate you having me on.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we're going to call it right here.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_03]: Next week kind of a big week on this show because
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: Simon is partial to FSU, and you know who I'm partial to, uh, spoiler alert, Miami by 40.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_03]: But that's it for today.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about it next week.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: But until then.
