  forward to Christmas and New Year's Eve.

  A lot of really cool things going to happen for the keen and

  23-year. Yeah.

  So I'm excited about that today. I thought about talking about
• 0:22
  Genesis and Adam and Eve and giving a different perspective
• 0:28
  or interpretation that I have of the story and I got this
• 0:32
  inspiration from actually watching a movie called
• 0:35
  Pleasantville, but I think a lot of Christians and a lot of
• 0:39
  non-believers might actually find this interpretation very
• 0:43
  fascinating as many of, you know, when some Christians
• 0:48
  actually sit down and read the Bible, the story of Genesis, we
• 0:52
  get this idea that Adam and Eve were two innocent people who
• 0:57
  lived in a garden and were convinced by Talking walking
• 1:01
  serpent, who was the manifestation of the devil?
• 1:05
  Some people might interpret as Lilith, the first wife of Adam
• 1:09
  returned and tricking the woman and order to cause corruption
• 1:14
  death and send in the world. But what if I were to tell you
• 1:18
  that this is kind of a shallow the perspective of Adam and Eve
• 1:24
  and the tree and their innocence and all this.
• 1:27
  What if there was a lot more to it, we know.
• 1:30
  Know for a fact that God knows everything.
• 1:33
  So God would have known how everything was going to turn
• 1:36
  out. We know for a fact that the
• 1:40
  moment that Adam and Eve actually ate from the tree, they
• 1:42
  didn't in fact die. Like the Bible said they were
• 1:46
  going to die that they were this day you shall die.
• 1:50
  Now usually when people read that passage, they get the idea
• 1:54
  that this meant that in the very second that they ate from the
• 1:57
  tree, they were going to die. And we have this perspective of
• 2:01
  death as if you die, then you fall down holding your chest or
• 2:05
  clutching your body going and falling over.
• 2:11
  I would have the perspective that they did in fact, die in a
• 2:16
  way. There's two forms of death in
• 2:20
  the Bible. Although for atheists there's
• 2:24
  only one idea or concept of death for Christians and people
• 2:28
  who believe in the afterlife, whether you're a pagan or Muslim
• 2:32
  or Jew, you believe that there's this death and then there's a
• 2:38
  judgment. And then what is referred to as
• 2:40
  the second death. Where you're completely, your
• 2:43
  soul is basically deteriorating. It's being wiped out almost A
• 2:48
  form of the Nile ation as am, and some part of you is left to
• 2:51
  be tormented. I personally, believe the soul
• 2:54
  will be completely wiped out where others believe that it's
• 2:58
  an eternal punishment that last forever and ever and ever, we
• 3:03
  can get into that discussion some other time.
• 3:05
  I've talked about that on my old version of God TV radio show and
• 3:13
  and seem to bother some people other people they accepted it.
• 3:17
  But let's get into it with every curse, comes a blessing and with
• 3:22
  every blessing comes a curse I believe that.
• 3:26
  And I believe that God didn't intend on harming Adam and Eve.
• 3:31
  And what Adam and Eve did wasn't exactly some form of terrible
• 3:35
  evil or horribleness either, and I'll explain why.
• 3:42
  When I watch the film Pleasantville, I'm going to have
• 3:47
  to give you a little bit of spoilers in order to give you an
• 3:50
  idea where I'm going with this. But you have Tobey Maguire and
• 3:54
  this other young lady, I forget what her name is.
• 3:58
  There's brother and sister and Tobey Maguire.
• 4:03
  As a young man who's having problems in his life and he
• 4:07
  likes to after school sit down on his couch and watch
• 4:12
  television show called Pleasantville and Pleasantville
• 4:16
  represents the perfect world where moms and dads, don't
• 4:20
  divorce where families don't fight, where there's no
• 4:23
  dysfunction in the world whatsoever.
• 4:27
  There's just simply black black and white.
• 4:29
  The shows are 1952 1920 ish looking and everybody's all
• 4:35
  clean and proper. There's no one who's obese or
• 4:38
  fat. Everyone looks like they belong
• 4:41
  in a modeling magazine, just the way when you watch Leave it to
• 4:46
  Beaver, or I Love Lucy, or anything like that.
• 4:50
  And the kid, of course wishes that the world was perfect like
• 4:54
  that. He's even got to the point where
• 4:56
  he watches the show so much he can.
• 4:58
  Remember the lines from the reruns that are going on,
• 5:02
  beautiful houses with fenced-in yard, the lawn is always mode
• 5:08
  and everybody is loving towards one.
• 5:12
  Another, if you basically, if you have a problem, your
• 5:16
  neighbor will give you what you need.
• 5:18
  In order to survive, everybody looks out for each other in
• 5:22
  Pleasantville. And in Pleasantville, there's no
• 5:25
  such thing as losing, if you play.
• 5:28
  A, a basketball game, no matter what direction, you throw the
• 5:31
  ball, somehow, it's going to swish, it's going to go right
• 5:35
  through the hole. The point is that the show was
• 5:39
  designed for the perfect family, the perfect neighbors, the
• 5:44
  perfect world, where nobody suffers nobody gets scratched,
• 5:48
  nobody gets cut. Well this is the same type of
• 5:54
  world that God made in the beginning.
• 5:56
  A lot of atheists ask, why didn't God just create the world
• 6:00
  this way in the right off the bat which tells me that they
• 6:04
  don't remember. The story in Genesis, they say
• 6:07
  they read the Bible. Christian say they read the
• 6:10
  Bible but the point is that God did actually create the Leave it
• 6:15
  to Beaver world, he did create this.
• 6:19
  Goodness in this Perfection. That had no corruption or
• 6:24
  nothing bad happening whatsoever.
• 6:27
  But God did just like the TV guy in Pleasantville somewhere along
• 6:33
  the time in the movie. You got these two kids living in
• 6:38
  the modern day, who are seen, as very clear to you right off the
• 6:44
  bat. Whenever you're watching that
• 6:46
  these kids, when they're in a classroom, they're talking about
• 6:49
  the modern problem problems of the world, such as climate
• 6:52
  control diseases, sickness has HIV.
• 6:56
  They're talking about all the kind of things that humans worry
• 6:59
  about nowadays and modern time and Tobey Maguire.
• 7:03
  Can't stand it. He hates living.
• 7:05
  Living in the world that he does, with all the dangers, all
• 7:08
  the sicknesses, all the pain and suffering.
• 7:12
  So he constantly envisions himself and that perfect world
• 7:16
  the same world that God talks about in the Bible that he
• 7:19
  originally created For All Mankind.
• 7:23
  Well, what ends up happening is him and his sister end up
• 7:26
  fighting over the remote control and that ends up getting broken
• 7:29
  in the process. He gets a knock at the door
• 7:32
  immediately without making any phone calls or doing anything.
• 7:36
  Thing, a TV repairman knocks on the door.
• 7:40
  Now they never tell you who this TV repairman is.
• 7:44
  But they give you these hints that.
• 7:46
  The TV repairman might actually be God.
• 7:50
  It's an old man who played are now.
• 7:53
  Old show called Andy Griffith and at this time, he's like 70,
• 7:57
  80 years old. And he gives mr.
• 8:01
  Tobey Maguire, a special remote control and doesn't exactly give
• 8:07
  him the instructions on anything about the remote control.
• 8:10
  He just says, if you pointed at your television, it'll work so
• 8:14
  Toby and his sister after the TV repairman leaves.
• 8:19
  He flips around the channels and all that, and the next thing he
• 8:22
  knows him and the sisters fighting over the remote again
• 8:26
  and they appear inside the Pleasantville.
• 8:30
  What's fascinating about this story is a immediately find
• 8:34
  themselves. Shocked, even though the boy, I
• 8:36
  always wanted the idea of living in that perfect world now that
• 8:40
  he found himself in it, he was terrified, he was scared.
• 8:44
  He actually wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.
• 8:47
  He didn't want to be trapped in the television show, he didn't
• 8:50
  want to be in there and his sister, she didn't even care for
• 8:54
  the perfect world in the first place.
• 8:55
  She just wanted to make the world, what she wanted it to be
• 8:59
  the whole time. She was actually kind of happy
• 9:03
  with herself in the modern world.
• 9:05
  She wasn't interested in living in the Leave it to Beaver style
• 9:09
  conversion. Well, in the movie it's in the
• 9:15
  television show that their existing within everything is
• 9:18
  black and white. Nothing has any actual, meaning
• 9:21
  color doesn't have purpose, so everything remains black and
• 9:25
  white, including them well, throughout the story.
• 9:30
  They continuously Tobey Maguire seems very concerned about doing
• 9:36
  different routine, things like doing things that he would
• 9:39
  normally do in this world. World because he was afraid that
• 9:42
  he would destroy the universe and he would corrupt it.
• 9:46
  He didn't want to bring his flaws and then Perfection.
• 9:49
  So he tried to watch out what he said, what he taught the people
• 9:53
  while he was there. However, the girl didn't have
• 9:55
  the same morals and ethics, she didn't give a damn if she
• 9:59
  changed the world or not. And she ends up immediately
• 10:04
  making a lot of decisions and choices that change everything.
• 10:08
  And she doesn't see any negativity in it at all.
• 10:12
  She actually figures. Well, I'm in Paradise, so I
• 10:15
  should be able to do whatever I want.
• 10:17
  And she does well, unfortunately, because Tobey
• 10:21
  Maguire wants to help people so badly and make people happy He
• 10:26
  ends up sharing a lot of information and knowledge that
• 10:29
  he shouldn't have and the knowledge ends up, making these
• 10:33
  people realize that they're not stuck, they're not in a
• 10:36
  subroutine that they could make choices.
• 10:40
  And this is exactly what God did in the Book of Genesis.

  It wasn't so much that it was a sin or an evil thing to do the
• 10:49
  entire concept of what Adam and Eve did was they went against
• 10:52
  the grain. God told them not to do
• 10:55
  something and they they did it. It wasn't so much about it being
• 10:58
  a tree or if it's an apple or a banana are fruit, it was about
• 11:04
  something that symbolized knowledge and the ability to
• 11:07
  choose against what God wants for you.
• 11:13
  Now, I know some people out there going to find that
• 11:15
  unusual. How can you do something else
• 11:17
  outside of God's will or what God wants?
• 11:20
  And I believe that God actually wanted us to realize that we
• 11:25
  have the choice but God wasn't going to endorse all of our
• 11:29
  choices. God wanted us to be happy.
• 11:33
  He wanted us to be able to have good things in our life, but he
• 11:37
  also wanted us to be able to make decisions on our self and
• 11:41
  be in Pendant where we weren't where he wasn't required, to
• 11:45
  hold our hand and guide us through every subroutine where
• 11:49
  we could choose to do things that we wanted to do, but it
• 11:53
  would come with a price. It would come with a
• 11:56
  consequence, the more and more Tobey Maguire and his sister
• 12:00
  continue to change the world that they were in the more color
• 12:04
  and meaning and purpose started to happen into existence.
• 12:08
  You started seeing the black and white show becoming more and
• 12:11
  more. I like the modern time you
• 12:13
  started seeing people become racist.
• 12:16
  People started becoming angry people started getting mad at
• 12:21
  the idea that their world was changing for something that they
• 12:24
  didn't want some. People were happy with the way
• 12:28
  the world was, but other people wanted it to go back to the
• 12:31
  perfect world that it used to be and Tobey Maguire says something
• 12:36
  interesting, while he was in the jail when he was in a jail cell
• 12:40
  after We breaking the laws of the Town, his black and white
• 12:46
  father, said to him. What is I don't understand
• 12:51
  what's going on. I don't understand what's
• 12:53
  happening with my life and Tobey Maguire said, it's normal.
• 12:59
  People are just simply changing its what happens.

  It's natural for people to change and the father asked a
• 13:07
  really interesting question. He said, is it possible to
• 13:09
  change back and Tobey Maguire said?

  I think it's harder to change back to unchanged.

  What has Open, once you get the ball rolling, there's no taking
• 13:23
  it back and that's what Jesus Christ offers later on in the
• 13:28
  story, The People are given the opportunity.
• 13:32
  Once again, they're faced with a choice.
• 13:36
  They're faced with the choice to either accept doing as God tells
• 13:40
  them to and follow God or continue to live their choices,
• 13:45
  but ultimately, the choices are going to end and people die.
• 13:50
  People are going to suffer and people are going to be in pain
• 13:53
  because the world will unravel. It will become unstable because
• 13:58
  Humanity has so many flaws and Imperfections and you put this
• 14:03
  abundance of problems. On top of more problems of every
• 14:07
  soul that exists in the world. While your world starts, getting
• 14:11
  really clouded and strange and confusing.
• 14:16
  And the movie Pleasantville, it ended up getting to the point
• 14:20
  where the entire world became like modern times again.
• 14:24
  And everybody seemed happy everybody realized it was a
• 14:28
  lesson to be learned at the end of it.
• 14:31
  All everybody went their separate ways and just learned
• 14:35
  how to live in the new world that they found themselves in
• 14:39
  and things were not quite as black and white as they assumed.
• 14:44
  And that's the same with the Bible.
• 14:47
  It's not so much just about a sin or disobeying God.
• 14:53
  It's about a choice that you'll make, that will take your
• 14:58
  existence down a different hallway that it could have never
• 15:04
  even been had it not been for them changing the
• 15:09
  black-and-white world. There would have never been sex.
• 15:12
  There would have never been babies, there would have never
• 15:15
  been Rock and roll color, none of these things.
• 15:19
  Everything would have remained a subroutine.
• 15:23
  So if you enjoy all the things that you see in life, if there
• 15:27
  are things in your world that bring you Joy and bring you
• 15:30
  happiness, it's because of the choices that people have made,
• 15:36
  but what those choices and with that happiness, in order to be
• 15:40
  able to feel happiness, in order to feel good, you also have to
• 15:44
  have the ability to feel A pain and what it's like to lose.
• 15:48
  You will not be able to win them all.
• 15:51
  And not every basket will be a shot.
• 15:57
  I found it amazing and I think that any atheist or religious
• 16:00
  person who sits down and remembers their concept of
• 16:06
  Genesis and the tree and you know the fall of Man and all
• 16:10
  this. And you watch Pleasantville,
• 16:14
  it'll actually bring you a sort of peace and I sort of
• 16:17
  contentment and you'll realize that God wasn't just punishing
• 16:21
  us that he wasn't just trying to hurt us for a decision that we
• 16:25
  made against him. But he also gave us a blessing.
• 16:30
  He offered us the ability to experience the world as he does
• 16:35
  to be able to open our eyes like God and be able to see things
• 16:39
  for what they are and be able to create our self and be able to
• 16:43
  build and enhance reality as we go along every day.

  Every minute, every hour And that's what life is, ladies and
• 16:54
  gentlemen. It's living through this reality
• 16:58
  in this existence and we can either go out of this world,
• 17:02
  enhancing and bringing good to it and color or we can be the
• 17:09
  very thing that never changes and everything can remain black
• 17:13
  and white. It really depends on your
• 17:16
  perspective of what makes you happy and what brings you
• 17:20
  contentment and Bliss. I hope you enjoyed this video.

  It's a Pleasantville has got to be one of the most fascinating
• 17:31
  movies I've ever seen in my life.

  It's an older one and I can't believe after all the many
• 17:36
  times, people told me I should watch it and see it.

  I finally just got around to seeing at this year after all
• 17:44
  these years and it's been around.

  This was the first time I sat down with my wife and kids and I
• 17:49
