  Speaker 3: appointment and this chapter sets up one of the most

  Speaker 3: powerful miracles that we read about in the New Testament. Hallelujah.

  Speaker 3: Just a little bit of background. In the Book of Acts,

  Speaker 3: Jesus ascends. We see that Jesus will ascend into heaven

  Speaker 3: and tells us that these are the things that Jesus

  Speaker 3: began to do and teach. So that means Jesus is

  Speaker 3: still working today, but he's working by the power the

  Speaker 3: Holy Spirit. The promise has come and falling. Once the

  Speaker 3: we saw the dunamus power, the dynamite power of the

  Speaker 3: Holy Spirit fall on the one hundred and twenty, which

  Speaker 3: These people changed. These people were different because they were

  Speaker 3: empowered by the Holy Spirit. And not only that, we

  Speaker 3: see that Peter stood up boldly proclaiming the Word to

  Speaker 3: the whole nation. At once he was afraid of a

  Speaker 3: servant girl. Now he is bold confronted the nation with

  Speaker 3: the Word of God. So they were empowered by the

  Speaker 3: Spirit mixed with word of God and our obedience. That's

  Speaker 3: a deadly combination. Amen, that means revival is gonna fall.

  Speaker 3: can win back our communities. So we can see the

  Speaker 3: power and the effect of the Spirit once we are empowered. Now,

  Speaker 3: Verse seven and eight. And he took him by the

  Speaker 3: strength came, strength came into his ankles. Then after he

  Speaker 3: received strength, he leaked and he started praising God. Hallelujah.

  Speaker 3: Sometimes worship will hit after we step out in faith,

  Speaker 3: before you see the miracle, Hallelujah, verse nine through ten.

  Speaker 3: were filled with wonder and amazement. A true miracle will

  Speaker 3: we use the gift of prophecy or word in the

  Speaker 3: wisdom and word of knowledge, when we're able to help

  Speaker 3: It's not you and it's not me. When we see

  Speaker 3: people healed, I was thinking about Elijah. The message was
• 16:54
  Speaker 3: passed a couple of sundays ago about Elijah. And when

  Speaker 3: a general king to get healed, and Elijah told him

• 17:07
  Speaker 3: coming to give Elijah gifts like this was the king's servant.

  Speaker 3: So this guy had money, He was a mighty man

  Speaker 3: He says, I will not receive anything from you like

  Speaker 3: Elijah was not about to receive the glory that only

  Speaker 3: Verse eleven through twelve. Peter quickly redirected the attention. He said,

  Speaker 3: why look so intently on us, as though by our

  Speaker 3: own power or godliness we made this man walk. Peter

  Speaker 3: rejects credit and points every want to Jesus, every gift,
• 18:03
  Speaker 3: every breakthrough, every blessing. Make sure the glory goes back

  Speaker 3: to the one who gave it. Hallelujah. And I could

  Speaker 3: testify myself. God has fought so many battles in my life. Amen,

  Speaker 3: I am still here only because of him, Thank you Lord. Now,

  Speaker 3: Peter preaches Jesus boldly in verse thirteen through sixteen, connecting

  Speaker 3: the miracle to the resurrected Christ. Now Peter wants you see,

  Speaker 3: people people will want not Peter, but people want signs.

  Speaker 3: But Peter gave him the Savior. This is the greater need,

  Speaker 3: of the Holy Spirit. If that's not what we're doing,

  Speaker 3: then we're failing. If you're not. If I'm pointing you

  Speaker 3: to myself, and if I'm drawing you to me, then

  Speaker 3: I have failed as a servant of Christ. Paul said,

  Speaker 3: follow me as I follow Christ. My job is to
• 20:48
  Speaker 3: point you to the Savior so that you can yield
• 20:52
  Speaker 3: your life and have a real relationship with Him yourself.

  Speaker 3: And I want to share this with you. It starts

  Speaker 3: with your mind. Your mind is always going to lead

  Speaker 3: your life. That's why Satan tried so hard to put

  Speaker 3: thoughts in your head. He wants control of your mind.

  Speaker 3: If he can control your mind, he can control your life.

  Speaker 3: But if we renew our minds with the Word of God,
• 21:26
  Speaker 3: and we learn how to cast down imaginations and take
• 21:30
  Speaker 3: every thought captive into the mind of Christ, we need
• 21:33
  Speaker 3: That's why we need to constantly be crying out to
• 21:35
  Speaker 3: the Holy Spirit. We need to think about what we
• 21:38
  Speaker 3: think about. A lot of people don't know they have
• 21:42
  Speaker 3: an option or choice. A lot of people just roll

  Speaker 3: with whatever thought falls into their head because they don't
• 21:48
  Speaker 3: know that the enemy is able to plant thoughts there.

  Speaker 3: But we can recognize that that's from the enemy. I

  Speaker 3: cast that down in the name of Jesus. Cry to

  Speaker 3: the Holy Spirit. Focused, start worshiping and in praising God,

  Speaker 3: start quoting the word, start memorizing the word a man,

  Speaker 3: use the word just like Jesus did when he was tempted.

  Speaker 3: Because a carnal mind is death, but the spiritual mind

  Speaker 3: is life. We need to contend for the mind of

  Speaker 3: Christ to stay spiritually minded. We're going to be attackted

  Speaker 3: with worry, with lust, with jealousy, with fear. All these

  Speaker 3: things do not come from God. And that's we should

  Speaker 3: easily recognize that. And then we just take our heart

  Speaker 3: before the Lord. Like, Lord, look at my heart right now,

  Speaker 3: right now, I want to lust after this female or male.

  Speaker 3: And Lord, I know this is not your will for

  Speaker 3: my life. So I surrendered these thoughts and desires to

  Speaker 3: the Holy Spirit. Burn them by your holy presence. I

  Speaker 3: cast them down in the name of Jesus. I bind them,

  Speaker 3: and I bring my thoughts to the obedience of Christ.

  Speaker 3: That's just a quick example of how your prayer life
