Goo Goo Dolls – Iris | Song Meaning Explained
Iris was written for City of Angels in one hotel pass on a four-string guitar. This episode is the angel trade underneath the wedding-song version: Nicolas Cage giving up forever to feel a body, eighteen weeks at number one on airplay, Diamond in 2024, and two billion streams from a band that used to be nobody on that soundtrack.
