- 0:00Speaker 1: Well here he is Jonathan dee Zing. He is or
- 0:03Speaker 1: JD as we call him. He is the host or
- 0:06Speaker 1: one of the hosts of the three Bit Gamer Show, Yeah,
- 0:09Speaker 1: which you can hear new every Tuesday for Tuesday. He's
- 0:12Speaker 1: also a cookie king and I like that one. And
- 0:17Speaker 1: he's he lurks about the Internet, yes, and he's here
- 0:21Speaker 1: to little tech talk, tell us what's going on on
- 0:23Speaker 1: the internet.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:25Speaker 3: So a couple of game related things we've got this month,
- 0:28Speaker 3: not a ton of news, but the big one I
- 0:31Speaker 3: think that's going to be on a lot of people's
- 0:32Speaker 3: radar is Doom the Dark Ages.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Guys. Everyone knows Doom. Sure, it's one of the one
- 0:38Speaker 2: of the first ones, right, one of the classic my
- 0:40Speaker 2: first person shooters.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And they kind of had a revamp in twenty sixteen
- 0:44Speaker 3: with the New Doom game, and then they did Doom Eternal,
- 0:47Speaker 3: and you know those are set in like i'd say,
- 0:49Speaker 3: like the not the far future, but like the near
- 0:51Speaker 3: future kind of idea. But this one, for whatever reason,
- 0:55Speaker 3: they go back to the medieval ages and it is
- 0:59Speaker 3: set in the Dark Ages. But you are still the
- 1:01Speaker 3: Doom Slayer, your Doom guy. You are just this this
- 1:05Speaker 3: like unstoppable force of killing looks good.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I mean, if you like just the.
- 1:10Speaker 3: The over the top crazy levels of violence. You've got
- 1:15Speaker 3: like a flail, you can get a mace. Your shield
- 1:18Speaker 3: is like a big saw, and you could drive like
- 1:21Speaker 3: a cybernetic dragon.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Like everything I'm saying.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Should want everyone to race out, Make everyone race out
- 1:27Speaker 3: here and you're off and you're mad, right really, because
- 1:30Speaker 3: there's demons and you kill demons and there shouldn't be
- 1:33Speaker 3: any So yeah, this one is is.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It's on Xbox, PlayStation PC. It's out now.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I also think it's available if you have Xbox Game Pass,
- 1:42Speaker 3: which is like the monthly service that Xbox offers, So
- 1:45Speaker 3: this is free on that. If you want to just
- 1:46Speaker 3: pick it up for a month, it'll be a lot
- 1:47Speaker 3: cheaper than spending eighty dollars on it. I've heard only
- 1:51Speaker 3: good things about this game so far. I loved the
- 1:53Speaker 3: first two of the new kind of generation of Dooms,
- 1:56Speaker 3: so Doom Dark Ages, ooh, this one. This one's kind
- 1:59Speaker 3: of like anyway. And then the other big news, and
- 2:03Speaker 3: a lot bigger than Doom is the Nintendo Switch to
- 2:06Speaker 3: is out June.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Fifth, and is it gonna be expensive?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Oh boy? And then that answer gets bigger. It starts
- 2:15Speaker 3: at four fifty.
- 2:15Speaker 2: We're putting tariffs on the on the switch. It could
- 2:20Speaker 2: be eight hundred dollars by the end of the summer.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Honest to god, we made it may be like flirting
- 2:24Speaker 3: with one thousand dollars, like we don't know. Nintendo hasn't
- 2:27Speaker 3: made any firm commitments to it now they I mean
- 2:31Speaker 3: they diverted all of so a lot of these are
- 2:33Speaker 3: made in Vietnam, a lot are made in China, and
- 2:35Speaker 3: they diverted almost all the ones that are made in
- 2:37Speaker 3: Vietnam to the US in anticipation of the sheriffs. But
- 2:40Speaker 3: eventually that glut is going to run out. Yeah, and
- 2:43Speaker 3: then the prices are gonna skyrocket. So the problem is
- 2:46Speaker 3: this is kind of like a cash twenty two because
- 2:48Speaker 3: there's no real great games.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Out on it right now.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Sometimes like new consoles come out and they've got like
- 2:53Speaker 3: a awesome new Zelda game or like a must buy game,
- 2:56Speaker 3: and you're like, that's okay, this, I'll play this for
- 2:58Speaker 3: the next year.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Not the case on the Nintendo Switch too.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I'm sure there's some games that are coming with it
- 3:03Speaker 3: that people are like shouting at the radios now.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Like, why do you forget this one or that one?
- 3:08Speaker 3: But really there's not there's not a lot of console
- 3:10Speaker 3: movers coming out with the Nintendo Switch to at least
- 3:13Speaker 3: June fifth.
- 3:15Speaker 2: A couple of things on this. It's gonna be a
- 3:17Speaker 2: little bit.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Bigger than a normal Nintendo Switch or original Nintendo Switch.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It has the joysticks are a little bit better. The
- 3:23Speaker 3: joy cons those little things that slide off the side
- 3:25Speaker 3: instead of sliding they like snap on the side. They're
- 3:28Speaker 3: always kind of an issue, especially with kids. They like
- 3:32Speaker 3: snap or whatever. So these might make it more durable,
- 3:34Speaker 3: they might make it less durable, we'll see. It will
- 3:37Speaker 3: also be mostly backwards compatible with like all switch games,
- 3:40Speaker 3: so if you just want to get one and sit
- 3:42Speaker 3: on it, you.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Could still just replace your switch with it.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, on it.
- 3:45Speaker 3: But I don't know, like if this is in your market,
- 3:49Speaker 3: if you're if I were a parent, I would buy
- 3:52Speaker 3: one now and put it in a closet for Christmas.
- 3:54Speaker 2: For Christmas, And I think that's smart. Hit probable to
- 3:57Speaker 2: do the same with an.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Xbox or you buy two and then you sell the
- 4:01Speaker 3: second one at Christmas entire Christmas, But yeah, it's smart.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Though Nintendo switched to June fifth, four hundred and fifty dollars.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Uh.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And then I've got some internet things, a couple of
- 4:12Speaker 3: random things. This first one I just thought it was cool.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I've been looking at it super high deaf scans of things,
- 4:17Speaker 3: and this is the Girl with a Pearl Earring painting
- 4:23Speaker 3: and it has uh, this is a one hundred and
- 4:26Speaker 3: eight billion pixel scanning, so you can just you can scan.
- 4:31Speaker 3: You can just scroll in and see the the like
- 4:34Speaker 3: little tiniest little tiny cracks where the paint has dried.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I kind of like this.
- 4:40Speaker 3: It's soothing, and it's kind of crazy because even if
- 4:43Speaker 3: you were in a museum and you stood right face
- 4:46Speaker 3: face in front of the thing, you wouldn't be able
- 4:47Speaker 3: to see it.
- 4:47Speaker 4: As well.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It makes you realize, it makes you realize to what
- 4:51Speaker 1: a brilliant painter he was, because you can you can
- 4:55Speaker 1: see the just he captures this expression on her face.
- 5:00Speaker 1: That's that's just I mean, it's almost like she's alive.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And then that was her distribution and that was painted
- 5:05Speaker 1: how many hundreds of years ago?
- 5:07Speaker 3: Now?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Right?
- 5:08Speaker 3: Yeah? No, it is like so that that link I
- 5:12Speaker 3: won't even read to you. You got to get these
- 5:13Speaker 3: at x ninety six dot com. Uh, the other, the
- 5:16Speaker 3: next one. This one is so amazing. I found this
- 5:19Speaker 3: and it is it's End Times meditation.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Although I'm sorry, but just to go back for one second. Yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 1: it's now frozen my computer. Oh it's a pretty big file.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it took a while for my padda.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yeah, not good for.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Weeks of dehydration. It's a beautiful husk of dried corn
- 5:41Speaker 4: from a failed harvest. Just let the husk drop onto
- 5:45Speaker 4: the crack turf below. Start scanning through your body, noticing
- 5:52Speaker 4: any discomfort, starting from your potch lips, moving down to
- 5:59Speaker 4: your dry skin, and then down to your shoes. You're
- 6:04Speaker 4: not wearing any shoes. They were stolen. And now place
- 6:11Speaker 4: your hand on your stomach, ignoring any tremors of hunger,
- 6:18Speaker 4: and take a deep, deep breath and not thinking about
- 6:24Speaker 4: the planet's long term prospects in the face of shameless poverdearing,
- 6:30Speaker 4: just focusing on this present moment of First of everything
- 6:37Speaker 4: is calm, everything stry.
- 6:43Speaker 2: So this is the drought one. Yeah, there's a bunch
- 6:45Speaker 2: of them.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Oil well dot app is the link. There's a bunch
- 6:50Speaker 3: of them, Like they're all like this.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Small breathing exercise.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Let go of your attachment to breathable air. This small
- 6:59Speaker 4: breathing exercise from oil Well picture is strong, powerful col
- 7:05Speaker 4: fired power station. It's just been built new childhood home.
- 7:12Speaker 4: The station smokestacks so pumping out soft, pillowy clouds, so small,
- 7:18Speaker 4: taking out any unsuspecting birds. Now take a deep breath
- 7:26Speaker 4: and breathing all the sulfur dioxide, all the particular matter.
- 7:32Speaker 4: You know.
- 7:32Speaker 5: This went from being funny to yeah, I only recommend
- 7:36Speaker 5: one of the time.
- 7:37Speaker 3: It's there a little bit too much. But those are
- 7:40Speaker 3: so funny. This one's actually really cool. It is a
- 7:45Speaker 3: it's a crystal ball. Now you type in any question.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I was just typing simple questions like who are you?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Or what time is it? Or what's the date today,
- 7:53Speaker 3: and it will just randomly pull a Simpsons quote that
- 7:56Speaker 3: kind of answers your question.
- 7:59Speaker 2: There's a Simpsons quote for anything. I may have stumped it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I may have stumped it. What did you ask it?
- 8:03Speaker 2: How much does this cost?
- 8:05Speaker 5: My prices are so low You'll think I've suffered brain damage.
- 8:10Speaker 3: It's fantastic because, like I said, there's a Simpsons quote
- 8:13Speaker 3: for everything.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Most questions.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I think it just it will pull from a gigantic
- 8:17Speaker 3: resource or a library of these different quotes, and it
- 8:21Speaker 3: will just kind of like word association.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I do think like AI powers it somehow.
- 8:26Speaker 5: I asked how old are you? And then it goes
- 8:29Speaker 5: through a search. It's just TV static, so how old
- 8:33Speaker 5: are you is the question it's searching.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It makes sense that it takes it takes a minute.
- 8:39Speaker 3: My mortals mortals mortals, so they're not all great, but
- 8:44Speaker 3: some of them are pretty funny. It's tvsimulator dot com
- 8:47Speaker 3: all right, and I got two more really quick. This
- 8:51Speaker 3: this one is I love this. It's TV wall dot Live.
- 8:55Speaker 3: You ever see a movie, like a James Bond movie
- 8:57Speaker 3: and there's like a crisis, there's like a Marvel movie.
- 8:59Speaker 3: There's a crisis going around the world and there's like
- 9:02Speaker 3: a bank of like news channels.
- 9:05Speaker 2: This gives you that and it's real.
- 9:07Speaker 3: So it pulls YouTube like live YouTube channels of news
- 9:11Speaker 3: stations and all over the world. You can you can
- 9:14Speaker 3: filter it by local news, global news. And I turned
- 9:19Speaker 3: on it always looks like a Marvel movie. There's like
- 9:21Speaker 3: people like refugees, wars, things exploding, crime.
- 9:25Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 9:26Speaker 3: If you ever need like some b roll going on
- 9:28Speaker 3: background make you feel like a Bond villain. This is
- 9:31Speaker 3: the one TV Wall dot Live. It's kind of fun,
- 9:35Speaker 3: like just how you have a third monitors out up. Oh,
- 9:37Speaker 3: it's kind of interesting. And then this last one is
- 9:41Speaker 3: very stupid. This is something you send to your friends
- 9:43Speaker 3: tontrol them. It is a movie recommendation. Uh it's it's
- 9:47Speaker 3: Tuesday movie Tuesday Night, Movie Night dot com slash quiz
- 9:51Speaker 3: and uh it will it'll pull you on certain like
- 9:55Speaker 3: what you're looking for?
- 9:56Speaker 2: What color? It will make a suggestion.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Suggestion can always be Cats twenty nineteen's Cats.
- 10:03Speaker 5: It was going to say, because because it leads the questions.
- 10:08Speaker 5: It leads your questions, what kind of show do you like?
- 10:12Speaker 5: I hit Space show? Yeah, and then it would but
- 10:14Speaker 5: who do you like in it? Andres all but I
- 10:17Speaker 5: thought it was going to go Star Trek.
- 10:18Speaker 2: But no, no, So your your spouse is like, what
- 10:20Speaker 2: do we watch tonight?
- 10:21Speaker 3: You're like, oh, I have this really good at recommendation,
- 10:24Speaker 3: Like check this out, see if it will spit out.
- 10:26Speaker 2: It's always going to be as cats Cats in twenty nineteen.
- 10:29Speaker 1: That's kind of mean.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty fantastic, all right.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Jonathan Easing The three Big Gamer show. It's a brand.
- 10:38Speaker 2: New today, yes sir, and go eat cookie? What cookie?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Brave cookies, Brave cook brave cookies.
