Welcome to Nate's daily wager. I ain't picking winners, but I
• 0:10
am making wagers. Time to put my money where my
• 0:13
mouth is. This is Nate's daily wager for
• 0:21
May 5th, 2026. That is a Cinco de Mayo, the
• 0:27
wonderful American holiday of Corona coming out of Chicago, IL
• 0:33
or Illinois, and also the day that the Mexicans defeated the
• 0:39
French at the Battle of La Puebla.
• 0:42
And then of course, this year it wonderfully lands on a Taco
• 0:46
Tuesday. So got that working for us too.
• 0:50
So happy Cinco de Mayo Taco Tuesday celebration de Pueblo to
• 0:56
all who celebrate. So last night, man, it was one
• 1:00
of those wrong, but a good wrong there.
• 1:03
The T Wolves went out there. We had us a little French on
• 1:07
French crime between Gobert and Wimby and man, well, I thought T
• 1:12
Wolves would be able to keep it close.
• 1:14
I went with the wonderful sabot logic with the 2 + 3 = 5 and Ant
• 1:20
was coming back, got that last minute update.
• 1:23
So that equals 5 and that's his number.
• 1:26
So all that logic played in for us.
• 1:27
We had those points in the pocket and didn't even need
• 1:30
them. Maybe this team ain't that bad,
• 1:32
or maybe they're just set up for these type of teams like the
• 1:36
Nuggets and the Spurs, but we'll see what happens in the next
• 1:40
round or maybe this round, who knows?
• 1:42
I'm not giving them the series off of game one.
• 1:44
But anyways, tonight we're going to stay out West again, kind of
• 1:49
right, Basically just heading up north to Oklahoma City.
• 1:53
We got the Lakers coming in. Ironically, we're from
• 1:56
Minnesota. And now anyways, it's the Lakers
• 1:59
and OKC tonight. Oklahoma's going to win this
• 2:02
one. I think everybody knows that, or
• 2:04
at least we all feel feel that way.
• 2:05
  But they're giving up 15 1/2. That's a lot of points.
• 2:08
Now, the Thunder are a superior team to the Lakers, but what
• 2:13
Lakers are going to show up and is LeBron going to go out there
• 2:16
and get his doors blown off by over 2 touchdowns?
• 2:19
Maybe that's very possible. And then will he try to come
• 2:22
back and get us a backdoor cover?
• 2:24
  Maybe? I'm thinking so.
• 2:26
So that's actually what I'm hoping on here is that there's a
• 2:29
little bit of pride that comes in and the Lakers just get it
• 2:32
back to under 15. And although they're losing by
• 2:36
20 late, then the Thunder kind of sit there people and the
• 2:41
Lakers make a small little run, get it down, make it look semi
• 2:45
respectable and we get a backdoor cover.
• 2:48
So that's my thought for tonight.
• 2:50
So we're going to go LA Lakers plus 15 1/2 against the OKC
• 2:55
Thunder and tonight's NBA Western Conference second round
• 3:00
playoff basketball action. Is there anything better than
• 3:02
  that? Pound it.
• 3:03
That's my pick and I'm sticking to to it man.
