SPEAKER_00: Hello, this is Ken, your podcast preacher.
• 0:16
SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to my podcast, Deep Waters.
• 0:18
SPEAKER_00: This podcast is brought to you by Applied Strengths Ministry, where we believe working together on our strengths is the effect of working out the will and calling of God in and through our lives.
• 0:27
  SPEAKER_00: Thanks for joining me.
• 0:28
SPEAKER_00: Let's open up in prayer.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_00: Blessed be the God and Father of your Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed you with every spiritual blessing and the heavenly places in Christ, just as he chose you and him before the foundation of the world, that you should be holy and without blame before him in love, having predestined you to adoption as your son or daughter by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, which he purposed in himself, to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he made you accepted in the beloved.
• 0:53
SPEAKER_00: In him ye have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace which he made to abound towards you in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to you the mystery of his will, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth in him.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_00: I ask that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, and the knowledge of the mystery of him, and to the deepest knowledge of him that you are willing and able to receive, that the eyes of your understanding would be open wider, and that you would be enlightened to who he is, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in you, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards you, who believe according to the working of his mighty power, which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead, and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, that he would grant that you would be strengthened with might through his spirit in the inner man, and into your spirit and heart, consistently walking in the spirit, so that you would be able to stand against the appetites of your flesh, the corrupted spirit of this world, the devil in his demons, and any in all fleshly desires and temptations.
• 2:00
SPEAKER_00: I pray that your love may abound more and more in all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be real about your Christianity, and unoffendable until the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, which are by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, to the glory and praise of God.
• 2:22
SPEAKER_00: I ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him, being fruitful in every good work, strengthen with all might, according to his glorious power, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints who walk by the Spirit and in the light.
• 2:40
SPEAKER_00: I pray that your hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love and unity, and that you would attain to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
• 2:52
SPEAKER_00: I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which has been given to each of my listeners by Christ Jesus, that you are enriched in everything by him, in all utterance and all knowledge, so that you do not come short in obtaining or operating in your calling and purpose, nor in using any spiritual gifts or talents to perform mighty miracle signs and wonders, and that we would do the greater works of Jesus yet to be accomplished, that we would be found eagerly waiting for the continued revelation of our Lord Jesus, who will confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the near coming of the day of our Lord.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_00: God is faithful by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son Jesus.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so now therefore, my sisters and brothers in Christ, when things get tough, think about whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and whatever things are of a good report.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_00: If there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things alone.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: I pray that in these very end of end time days that you would let your love be without hypocrisy.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_00: Show people your faith by your works and service in love.
• 3:47
SPEAKER_00: Hate and loathe what is evil, cling to what is good and righteous, be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent and fully engulfed in spiritual fire, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, walking in the peace of God, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints, that is each other, and that you would be given to hospitality.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_00: May the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like minded towards one another, according to Christ Jesus, that we learn to be of one mind and one accord, striving to get along, no matter what disagreements we may encounter, operating completely and fully in love, always striving for the working out of God's specific will for each of our lives, while working in partnership with each other, within the church and the Holy Spirit, as he manifests his miracle signs and wonders through the daily activities of our ministry and kingdom work, and while we also go out preaching the gospel in word and deed, let us love and serve one another, our enemy, and those who wouldn't expect us to do so, considering each person better than ourselves.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_00: Bind up any words or thoughts that are contrary to the love of God, or which would set you back in your Christian walk.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_00: Guard your hearts from anything that would hinder the growth of your character.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_00: Never forget that you can do all things in Christ, and don't forget this means all things.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_00: I'll step out on faith today and walk with God and with each other, being assured that nothing will separate you from Him as long as you abide in Him.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_00: All those things that don't exist as though they do.
• 5:10
SPEAKER_00: Remember the faith of God of which we have created the universe by the Rama and Logos Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.
• 5:19
SPEAKER_00: All you need for this life is invisible until you apply your faith to receive it.
• 5:23
SPEAKER_00: But make sure you make your request known to God without fear, doubting, or unbelief.
• 5:27
SPEAKER_00: Always remember he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.
• 5:31
SPEAKER_00: Be more than a conqueror today.
• 5:32
SPEAKER_00: Submit it to the will of God in everything.
• 5:34
SPEAKER_00: Never forget that you can do all things through Christ who will strengthen you this very today.
• 5:39
SPEAKER_00: Let each of us express uncompromising love towards one another in humility, while maintaining a teachable spirit, seeking to grow, no matter how much it challenges our current thinking.
• 5:49
SPEAKER_00: I pray that God will give you the revelation within this message that he intends you to receive with the understanding.
• 5:54
SPEAKER_00: Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
• 6:01
SPEAKER_00: To God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory in majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.
• 6:07
SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name we pray amen.
• 6:09
SPEAKER_00: The title of this message is It's Reigning Blood.
• 6:12
SPEAKER_00: So I asked Google AI the leading supporting question to this message, which is, did Jesus have a good understanding of what his purpose was from beginning to end, for his life?
• 6:22
SPEAKER_00: The first portion is a representative sample with some simple explanation along with some scriptural support.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_00: First we will see if Jesus coming and the purpose thereof was spoken about in the Old Testament, so as to see if we were given a head start into why Jesus, when he came upon the earth, in what manner he would die.
• 6:40
SPEAKER_00: Now keep in mind that Jesus is the Word of God, and so if it is written down in the Bible, it would not catch Jesus off guard.
• 6:46
SPEAKER_00: In some of the explanations about the scripture or basic summaries, I will include the actual scripture because oftentimes it provides a more clearer picture.
• 6:55
SPEAKER_00: The primary passages in the Bible that explicitly identify Jesus as the Word or Word of God are found in the writings of the apostle John.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_00: John one in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_00: And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
• 7:19
SPEAKER_00: This vernects the Word directly to Jesus Christ.
• 7:23
SPEAKER_00: Revelation nineteen thirteen, he is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is the Word of God.
• 7:31
SPEAKER_00: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the Word of life.
• 7:40
SPEAKER_00: Is it any wonder considering how close John was in that, traditionally speaking, he was called the apostle of love?
• 7:47
SPEAKER_00: Was so close to Jesus, knowing that he knew who Jesus was beyond just flesh and blood.
• 7:53
SPEAKER_00: Now we go to the Old Testament to see what's up.
• 7:55
SPEAKER_00: Several Old Testament passages specifically detail or prefigure death by piercing, hanging, and execution akin to crucifixion, centuries before the practice was used.
• 8:06
SPEAKER_00: Psalm twenty two sixteen states They have pierced my hands and my feet, a vivid description matching the physical trauma of crucifixion.
• 8:14
SPEAKER_00: Zechariah twelve ten records the words They will look on me, the one they have pierced, connecting a piercing to the Lord.
• 8:22
SPEAKER_00: Isaiah fifty three five notes that the servant would be pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities.
• 8:30
SPEAKER_00: Deuteronomy twenty one twenty three declares that anyone hung on a tree is under God's curse, which New Testament writers like Paul and Galatians three thirteen applied to the wooden cross.
• 8:41
  SPEAKER_00: Galatians three thirteen.
• 8:43
SPEAKER_00: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.
• 8:51
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so yes, I added one New Testament scripture, but I did so so that you knew that even those or some who follow Jesus understood by what manner Jesus would die.
• 9:01
SPEAKER_00: Now let's go to the New Testament and see if we can find any nuggets in there.
• 9:05
SPEAKER_00: The gospel records many times when Jesus clearly told his disciples that he would suffer, be killed, and rise again.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_00: He also specifically predicted that he would be handed over to be crucified.
• 9:16
SPEAKER_00: Matthew twenty eighteen through nineteen.
• 9:18
SPEAKER_00: Jesus tells the twelve disciples they are going to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be mocked, flogged, and crucified.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_00: Now the actual scripture states Matthew twenty eighteen through nineteen, Behold we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priest and to the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles, to mock and to scourge and to crucify, and the third day he will rise again.
• 9:45
SPEAKER_00: Too many details for this future event to catch Jesus off guard.
• 9:49
  SPEAKER_00: Matthew sixteen twenty one.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_00: Jesus begins to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, suffer many things from the elders and chief priests, be killed, and be raised on the third day.
• 9:59
  SPEAKER_00: Matthew sixteen twenty one.
• 10:01
SPEAKER_00: From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised the third day.
• 10:11
SPEAKER_00: Mark eight thirty one and Luke nine twenty two.
• 10:15
SPEAKER_00: Jesus teaches that the Son of Man must suffer, be rejected, and be killed before rising again.
• 10:20
SPEAKER_00: Mark eight thirty one, and he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
• 10:32
SPEAKER_00: Luke nine twenty two saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised the third day.
• 10:41
SPEAKER_00: Again, he clearly knows why he is on planet Earth.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_00: Notice how clear it is to Jesus that he will be murdered.
• 10:47
SPEAKER_00: Yes, he was nicer about the way he said it, or rather the words he used, but I believe that it is because he needed to use language that wouldn't be so offensive to those who would carry out the dastardly deed, least they get convicted and throw the whole idea of killing God out the window.
• 11:02
SPEAKER_00: Now I asked Google AI to list scriptures that stated Jesus was murdered, so that I could support the biblical use of the strong word, and it came up with alternate scriptures, but not the ones I know that are connected within the Bible.
• 11:14
SPEAKER_00: This is why you must read your Bible as AI will screen out certain language, and be it intentional or not, you know I know and believe that it is intentional, and will happen to a greater degree as we move further into the end time narrative.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_00: And again, this is why you need to know what's on the pages of your Bible.
• 11:32
SPEAKER_00: Use technology, but don't rely on technology.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_00: Acts two twenty three, him being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God.
• 11:41
SPEAKER_00: You have taken by lawless hands, have crucified and put to death.
• 11:45
SPEAKER_00: Acts three fifteen, and killed the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
• 11:52
SPEAKER_00: Hey Podcast preacher, those scriptures don't use the word murder.
• 11:56
SPEAKER_00: Acts five thirty, the God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_00: Acts seven fifty two, which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute?
• 12:07
SPEAKER_00: And they have killed those who foretold the coming of the just one, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers, actual or implied works for us, right?
• 12:16
SPEAKER_00: Of course there are other scriptures that say something similar, but to me the ones that make the truth most impactful is when the writers just say it like it is.
• 12:24
SPEAKER_00: They, we murder Jesus because of our sins.
• 12:28
SPEAKER_00: Salvation sounds so much more blessed when we see ourselves as part of the problem, right?
• 12:32
SPEAKER_00: This event had to happen and Jesus knew it.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so back to Jesus understanding his full purpose and calling in the scriptures.
• 12:39
SPEAKER_00: Mark ten thirty three thirty four.
• 12:42
SPEAKER_00: He gives another detailed prediction of being handed over to the Gentiles to be mocked, spit on, flogged, and killed.
• 12:49
SPEAKER_00: Mark ten thirty three thirty four.
• 12:51
SPEAKER_00: Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priest and to the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles, and they will mock him and scourge him and spit on him, and kill him, and the third day he will rise again.
• 13:08
SPEAKER_00: This statement, the third day he will rise again, wasn't propagated by other sources, such as a Hebrew version of Twitter called something like the pigeon caster's network or similar.
• 13:19
SPEAKER_00: No, but it was Jesus himself that made that statement over and over again.
• 13:24
SPEAKER_00: He knew that death wasn't what way too many of us people today think it is.
• 13:28
SPEAKER_00: He understood it was a foe to be conquered so that we could be free from the tyranny and fear of it Revelation twenty fourteen.
• 13:36
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so but before we continue on with the scriptures that show that Jesus was fully aware of his mission and purpose, I felt the tug that we should pull off to the side of the road and reveal who death really is so that we stop reacting out of fear when someone dies.
• 13:50
SPEAKER_00: The only reason to be undone by death is if someone we know, without a shadow of a doubt, chose hell over heaven, and even in this we should not lose our minds considering how often the Bible warns us that this too will happen.
• 14:04
SPEAKER_00: In the Bible, death is frequently personified as an active, powerful force, a king or a hunter with a maw or string.
• 14:12
SPEAKER_00: Rather than just a passive state of non existence, biblical writers use vivid literary personification to depict death as an adversary holding dominion over humanity until defeated by God.
• 14:25
SPEAKER_00: In the Old Testament it states in Psalm forty nine fourteen, like sheep, they are laid in the grave, death shall feed on them, and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning.
• 14:36
SPEAKER_00: Death is portrayed as a shepherd or a beast that grazes on or consumes humanity.
• 14:41
SPEAKER_00: Isaiah twenty five eight, he will swallow up death forever.
• 14:45
SPEAKER_00: God is pictured as engaging in a combat, whereby he swallows up death as an active entity.
• 14:51
SPEAKER_00: Hosiah thirteen fourteen, O death, where are your plagues?
• 14:55
SPEAKER_00: O grave, shale, where is your destruction?
• 14:58
SPEAKER_00: Death is addressed directly as an active tormentor, possessing plagues.
• 15:03
SPEAKER_00: Job eighteen thirteen, it consumes the limbs of his body.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_00: The firstborn of death consumes his skin.
• 15:10
SPEAKER_00: In this scripture death has a metaphorical offspring or a royal court.
• 15:14
SPEAKER_00: Job twenty eight twenty two.
• 15:16
SPEAKER_00: Destruction and death say we have heard a rumor thereof with our ears.
• 15:20
SPEAKER_00: Destruction and death are given voices and the ability to converse.
• 15:25
SPEAKER_00: The New Testament personifications of death Revelation six eight, and I looked and behold, a pale horse, and the name of him who sat on it was death, and Hades followed with him.
• 15:35
SPEAKER_00: Death is explicitly mounted, given a name, and personified as a rider sweeping across the earth.
• 15:41
  SPEAKER_00: Revelation twenty fourteen.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_00: Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
• 15:46
SPEAKER_00: Death and the grave are personified as defendants, put on trial before the throne of God and sentenced.
• 15:53
  SPEAKER_00: Corinthians fifteen fifty five.
• 15:56
SPEAKER_00: O death where is your victory?
• 15:57
SPEAKER_00: O death where is your sting?
• 15:59
SPEAKER_00: Echoing Hosiah, Paul treats death as a warrior possessing a weaponized sting.
• 16:05
  SPEAKER_00: Romans five fourteen.
• 16:07
SPEAKER_00: Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, death as described as a monarch ruling over people as a tyrant.
• 16:15
SPEAKER_00: Yes, that was a bit long to be sitting on the side of the road, but the Holy Spirit, inasmuch as I know how to follow, must be my leader in these messages.
• 16:22
SPEAKER_00: I will miss a mark on occasions.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_00: Yep, but this is no reason to give up or stop trying.
• 16:27
  SPEAKER_00: Proverbs twenty four sixteen.
• 16:29
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's continue on with the scriptures that show that Jesus was fully aware of his mission and purpose.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_00: John three, fourteen through fifteen.
• 16:37
SPEAKER_00: Jesus compared his upcoming death to Moses, lifting up the bronze snake in the wilderness, saying the Son of Man must be lifted up.
• 16:44
SPEAKER_00: The actual scripture, John thirteen, fourteen through fifteen, and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_00: In John two, nineteen through twenty one, Jesus speaks of destroying the temple, referring to his body and raising it up in three days.
• 17:06
  SPEAKER_00: nineteen through twenty one.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_00: Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
• 17:13
SPEAKER_00: Then the Jews said, It has taken forty six years to build this temple, and you will raise it up in three days.
• 17:19
SPEAKER_00: But he was speaking of the temple of his body.
• 17:22
SPEAKER_00: He was even aware that after he died and kicked the devil in the teeth, and took the keys of death in Hades, keys representing authority, that it would be he himself that would get him out of that disgusting place, a place that all of humanity would have ended up in had he changed his mind about humanity.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_00: I am so beyond excited that he didn't change his mind, even though we gave him plenty of reasons to do so, considering our instability and all things that truly matter.
• 17:50
SPEAKER_00: Are there more scriptures that support that he knew?
• 17:53
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 17:56
SPEAKER_00: If anyone serves me, let him follow me, and where I am, there my servant will be also.
• 18:02
SPEAKER_00: If anyone serves me, him my Father will honor.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_00: Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say?
• 18:09
SPEAKER_00: Father save me from this hour?
• 18:11
SPEAKER_00: But for this purpose I came to this hour.
• 18:13
  SPEAKER_00: Father glorify your name.
• 18:15
SPEAKER_00: Then a voice came from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.
• 18:20
SPEAKER_00: Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered.
• 18:25
SPEAKER_00: Others said, An angel has spoken to him.
• 18:28
SPEAKER_00: Jesus answered and said, This voice did not come because of me, but for your sake.
• 18:33
SPEAKER_00: Now is the judgment of the world.
• 18:35
SPEAKER_00: Now the ruler of this world will be cast out, and I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to myself.
• 18:43
SPEAKER_00: This he said, signifying by what death he would die.
• 18:46
SPEAKER_00: He knew he knew Luke two thirty nine through fifty one.
• 18:51
SPEAKER_00: So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own city Nazareth, and the child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.
• 19:02
SPEAKER_00: His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover, and when he was twelve years old, they went to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.
• 19:11
SPEAKER_00: When they had finished the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem, and Joseph and his mother did not know it, but supposing him to have been in the company, they went a day's journey and sought him among their relatives and acquaintances.
• 19:26
SPEAKER_00: So when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking him.
• 19:30
SPEAKER_00: Now it was so that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
• 19:42
SPEAKER_00: So when they saw him they were amazed, and his mother said to him, Son, why have you done this to us?
• 19:48
SPEAKER_00: Look, your father and I have sought you anxiously.
• 19:51
SPEAKER_00: Mary must have been under stress because Joseph was not Jesus' father.
• 19:55
SPEAKER_00: Verse forty nine and he that is Jesus said to them, Why did you seek me?
• 20:00
SPEAKER_00: Did you not know that I must be about my father's business?
• 20:04
SPEAKER_00: But they did not understand the statement which he spoke to them.
• 20:07
SPEAKER_00: He knew exactly what his father's business was, and how it was going to end and begin.
• 20:12
SPEAKER_00: Matthew twenty six, fifty one through fifty four.
• 20:15
SPEAKER_00: And suddenly one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
• 20:23
SPEAKER_00: But Jesus said to him, Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
• 20:30
SPEAKER_00: Or do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will provide me with more than twelve legions of angels?
• 20:36
SPEAKER_00: How then could the scriptures be fulfilled that it must happen thus?
• 20:41
SPEAKER_00: He had the ability to stop what was coming, but he didn't.
• 20:45
SPEAKER_00: Now therefore the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come, that he should depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_00: Now that we have proven without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus knew his purpose and mission and how things would go down the road for him, we ask the question which in my heart and spirit sparked this message.
• 21:08
SPEAKER_00: Why was Jesus sweating blood in the garden if he had such a clear understanding of what was coming?
• 21:14
SPEAKER_00: Luke twenty two forty three four.
• 21:17
SPEAKER_00: Then an angel appeared to him from heaven, strengthening him, and being in agony, he prayed more earnestly.
• 21:23
SPEAKER_00: Then his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
• 21:27
SPEAKER_00: It was raining blood, and we should inquire as to why, if Jesus had such a clear understanding of his mission and purpose.
• 21:34
SPEAKER_00: Here is one in whom John stated twice that God is love, and Jesus seemed to be under great distress, even though he knew that death would not hold him.
• 21:43
SPEAKER_00: Now here is where we get a little investigative, and I say this because many have indicated that it was because he knew that he was about to be crucified, and that because this is a torturous death, he was terrified.
• 21:56
SPEAKER_00: My thought is that he was dying for his future bride, who would be birthed to Through his death, that is his church.
• 22:02
SPEAKER_00: So why all the blood?
• 22:03
SPEAKER_00: So but I have a question for the God who knows everything, and well to hit the outliers on the sweating blood phenomenon, who may also be partially correct as the others and their reasons, in which you surmise that it was the weight of the world's sins that caused him so much distress, given he was holy, pure, righteous, without sin, and so much more, and that he was God himself who hated sin.
• 22:26
SPEAKER_00: Now, this question is for God who has a clearer picture than we do.
• 22:30
SPEAKER_00: Why sweat it at all?
• 22:32
SPEAKER_00: Now to answer this question, as it was rhetorical, in that it was because of a reason that I missed for so long.
• 22:38
SPEAKER_00: Now the Bible doesn't say why he sweated blood.
• 22:41
SPEAKER_00: Therefore we have the room to play around with what we think as long as we do not get off the scriptures and behaviors and identities in and of God.
• 22:50
SPEAKER_00: Are you ready for my take?
• 22:51
SPEAKER_00: And all the hands go up and say yes.
• 22:53
SPEAKER_00: Jesus sweated blood because he knew that once he took upon himself the world's sins, God the Father and He would be temporarily separated.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_00: Yes, perfect love separated from perfect love.
• 23:05
SPEAKER_00: In Matthew twenty four, forty six and Mark fifteen, thirty four, Jesus cries out, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
• 23:13
SPEAKER_00: This quote Psalm twenty two one, it shows Jesus feeling deep abandonment during his suffering.
• 23:20
SPEAKER_00: We could look up the word abandonment, but I think you know what it means.
• 23:23
SPEAKER_00: Matthew twenty seven forty six.
• 23:25
SPEAKER_00: And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, Lama Sakbanithi, that is my God, my God, why have ye forsaken me?
• 23:35
SPEAKER_00: So before we move on, let's look at the original Greek of those scriptures and see what it states.
• 23:39
SPEAKER_00: Remember, I don't pronounce English so well, so my Greek is going to be really bad, but we'll get down to the English of what it means as we move through it.
• 23:48
SPEAKER_00: In Matthew twenty seven forty six, the phrase Eli Eli Lama Sakpanathani is actually not Greek.
• 23:55
SPEAKER_00: It's a transliteration of a Semitic phrase, Hebrew and Aramaic that the Gospel writers immediately translates into Greek for the reader as Theos mu, Theos Mu Hina T me, Ekatalyps, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
• 24:12
SPEAKER_00: Greek translation breakdown Theomus, my God, Hina tea, why or for what purpose or reason?
• 24:20
SPEAKER_00: Me, me, Echatolips, you have forsaken, abandoned, or left behind.
• 24:26
  SPEAKER_00: Meaning in context.
• 24:27
SPEAKER_00: The direct translation, the original Greek word means absolute abandonment, expressing the intense human and spiritual agony of Jesus as he bore the sins of the world.
• 24:36
  SPEAKER_00: Quoting Psalm twenty two.
• 24:37
SPEAKER_00: By shouting this phrase, Jesus is quoting the opening line of Psalm twenty two, a prophetic Hebrew poem that begins with deep sorrow and rejection, but ends in ultimate triumph and trusting God.
• 24:49
SPEAKER_00: The traditional view, many Christian teachers believe the Father literally hid his faith or turned away because his holy nature cannot tolerate sin.
• 24:57
SPEAKER_00: The cry of dereliction, when Jesus quoted Psalm twenty two one on the cross, many interpret it as a literal separation or the Father looking away because he is too pure to look upon sin, referencing Habakkuk one hundred thirteen.
• 25:13
SPEAKER_00: You are of pure eyes then to behold evil, and cannot look on wickedness.
• 25:18
SPEAKER_00: Why do you look on those who deal treacherously and hold your tongue when the wicked devours a person more righteous than he, bearing sin?
• 25:26
SPEAKER_00: Proponents argue that as Jesus took on the sins of the world, the fellowship between the Father and the Son was momentarily broken or hidden.
• 25:33
SPEAKER_00: In my mind, this was the blood invoking reason he was raining blood on the garden floor.
• 25:39
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so yes there are others who support other theories, but since I am writing this message, I get to support my idea as to why the Son of God was sweating blood, and I think it was because for the first time ever in all of eternity, God the Father and His Son would for a short amount of time be separated.
• 25:57
SPEAKER_00: My last supporting comment, and then we close, leaving it up to my listeners to make up your own minds, as there is room in our Christianity to do so without strife.
• 26:07
SPEAKER_00: I asked Google AI the following question and got this as a result.
• 26:10
SPEAKER_00: Where in the Bible does it state that mankind, because of sin, is separated from God?
• 26:15
SPEAKER_00: The primary most direct statement in the Bible regarding sin, causing a separation from God is found in Isaiah fifty nine two, which states but your iniquities have separated you from your God.
• 26:27
SPEAKER_00: Your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear you.
• 26:31
SPEAKER_00: And remember Jesus became our sins.
• 26:34
SPEAKER_00: So therefore this scripture should apply to him since he was also a man.
• 26:38
SPEAKER_00: Isaiah fifty nine two directly explains that human wrongdoings build up a barrier and hide God's presence.
• 26:45
SPEAKER_00: Genesis three, eight through twenty four illustrates the first historical instance of this separation.
• 26:51
SPEAKER_00: After Adam and Eve sinned, they hid from God's presence and were subsequently driven out of the Garden of Eden.
• 26:58
SPEAKER_00: Romans three twenty three and six twenty three.
• 27:01
SPEAKER_00: The apostle Paul explains that all the people have sinned and that the wages of sin is death, referring to spiritual separation and broken fellowship with the Creator.
• 27:11
SPEAKER_00: Are you starting to see a pattern?
• 27:13
SPEAKER_00: The perspective on sin and separation.
• 27:15
SPEAKER_00: Some believers emphasize that sin inherently breaks fellowship with God until repentance occurs, while others highlight that through Christ's sacrifice, ultimate separation is overcome, and humans are called back into a restored relationship.
• 27:30
SPEAKER_00: If sin had this result, that is, it breaks fellowship between God and us, why wouldn't it with Jesus and the Father?
• 27:37
SPEAKER_00: Next, Hebrews four fifteen, for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
• 27:48
SPEAKER_00: He became our God separating sin, which is so deep because he knew the cost before he did so.
• 27:54
SPEAKER_00: Would you go and serve an eternal punishment for any one of your family members or friends?
• 27:58
SPEAKER_00: How about also becoming everything evil that they committed?
• 28:01
SPEAKER_00: You can see the magnificence of this act that Jesus performed for us, even though we at that time may have been spitting in his face and mocking him as God.
• 28:11
SPEAKER_00: So we must never forget the cost of what Jesus did for us.
• 28:14
  SPEAKER_00: Second Corinthians 5 21.
• 28:16
SPEAKER_00: For he made him, that is God, made Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
• 28:24
SPEAKER_00: Never again will God the Son and God the Father be separated as in the days when Jesus became your sins, so that you would have permission to approach God's throne boldly and become the righteousness of the Father.
• 28:36
  SPEAKER_00: Hebrews four sixteen.
• 28:38
SPEAKER_00: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
• 28:45
SPEAKER_00: Regardless of why he bled in the garden, we must never forget the price our sins asked an innocent and holy man to pay.
• 28:52
SPEAKER_00: Let us close in prayer.
• 28:54
SPEAKER_00: May the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before your God and Father at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
• 29:04
SPEAKER_00: Now may the God of peace, the one in whom we call wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, may He Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• 29:18
SPEAKER_00: To our Lord of Lords and our King of Kings, to our high and lifted up, great high priest, who has once and for all paid the price, that you might see and hear God, may He hear and respond to our prayers.
• 29:27
SPEAKER_00: To our God we stand and pray as He too always lives to make intercession for you while seated at the right hand of the Father.
• 29:33
SPEAKER_00: May the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you what is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever.
• 29:48
SPEAKER_00: Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
• 29:56
SPEAKER_00: To him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, amen.
• 30:01
SPEAKER_00: Well that's it for today.
• 30:03
SPEAKER_00: Remember it's not what you find wrong or disagree with regarding these messages, but what you can take away from it.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_00: Together we can do more to impact the kingdom than if we work alone.
• 30:11
SPEAKER_00: Let's flip the script and steal, kill, and destroy the works of the enemy and create space for the light of lights to shine through into people's lives.
• 30:18

• 30:30
SPEAKER_00: You can be assured it comes from one call to teach, and though imperfect, you have the Word of God to use to test everything I say.
• 30:37
SPEAKER_00: Let's build this ministry together.
• 30:38
