- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Oh Man Oman the day before the big feast. Mark
- 0:10Speaker 2: is off at a long weekend. Good for him. Former
- 0:13Speaker 2: New York City TV news anchor Ken Rosato reporting for duty.
- 0:17Speaker 2: And you'll probably best remember me. I did twenty years,
- 0:20Speaker 2: twenty years having a great time anchoring the Morning Show
- 0:24Speaker 2: Channel seven here in New York. Before that, I was
- 0:25Speaker 2: on the Morning Show Channel five. And these days I
- 0:28Speaker 2: host a daily show on a New Jersey based news channel.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's called on New Jersey ONANJ dot com. You could
- 0:37Speaker 2: stream it live anywhere in the country. It's New Jersey focus,
- 0:40Speaker 2: but it has all the tri state stuff TOONJ dot com.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I'm on every day there, and I run a food
- 0:46Speaker 2: website for all you foodies called the Food Dude. Thefooddude
- 0:51Speaker 2: dot us check it out. Hundreds of free recipes that
- 0:54Speaker 2: I put on there, in thousands or hundreds of thousands
- 0:57Speaker 2: actually from all over the world. And we've got a
- 0:58Speaker 2: lot to talk about today. But being this is the
- 1:01Speaker 2: day before Thanks to Giving, I'm not only a guy
- 1:04Speaker 2: who does news and politics but also food. Because of
- 1:07Speaker 2: the Food Dude, so feel free to talk Thanksgiving. We
- 1:10Speaker 2: don't have to keep this a hardcore political show. I
- 1:13Speaker 2: know Marcus like saying, Ken, keep it on, keep it on, politics, Mark, Mark,
- 1:17Speaker 2: you enjoy your day off. I'm going to welcome in
- 1:21Speaker 2: some calls about Thanksgiving, turkey, stresses around the holiday table,
- 1:25Speaker 2: politics and family. Whatever you want, open it up here.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Eight hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Do
- 1:31Speaker 2: you have a cool recipe you want to share, because
- 1:33Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about them. We want to hear
- 1:35Speaker 2: about it. What about your family traditions at Thanksgiving? Do
- 1:39Speaker 2: you always just have a turkey or do you have
- 1:41Speaker 2: a turkey and something else or something instead of a turkey?
- 1:46Speaker 2: You know, being an Italian American, we always have you
- 1:49Speaker 2: have to have lasagna. It's just lasagna is a man
- 1:52Speaker 2: made turkey. Okay, it's sort of constructed frank in parts
- 1:56Speaker 2: and then you get a lasagna. So but we always
- 1:59Speaker 2: have a you know, you have alasagna, then you have
- 2:01Speaker 2: the turkey if you have room for turkey. But tell
- 2:04Speaker 2: us what you think and what your family tradition is.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I know a lot of folks do mac and cheese.
- 2:08Speaker 2: We heard that earlier on MENTI in the Morning. Eight
- 2:11Speaker 2: hundred and three to two one zero seven ten. Well
- 2:14Speaker 2: Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy ticked off some people while getting
- 2:18Speaker 2: cheers from a lot of others, including me. Don't know
- 2:21Speaker 2: if you heard him, but he asked people to consider
- 2:24Speaker 2: dressing a little more appropriately when taking flights.
- 2:28Speaker 3: People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly.
- 2:32Speaker 3: You know, I see people getting on the airplanes. They're
- 2:35Speaker 3: having a hard time taking their luggage and getting in
- 2:37Speaker 3: in the oversize or the above band. Help people out,
- 2:41Speaker 3: be nice, be courteous, and so we want to push
- 2:43Speaker 3: people as we come into a really bad busy travel season,
- 2:46Speaker 3: help people out, be in a good mood, dress up,
- 2:49Speaker 3: bring civility back to travel, and I think everyone's experience
- 2:53Speaker 3: is going to be that much better.
- 2:55Speaker 2: And he's right. I fly every couple of weeks because
- 2:58Speaker 2: I live equally between New Jersey and Fort Lauderdale, and
- 3:00Speaker 2: I go back and forth, and depending on the time
- 3:03Speaker 2: of my flight, I cannot tell you how many people
- 3:07Speaker 2: I see boarding the plane looking like they literally rolled
- 3:11Speaker 2: out of bed and intend to go back to bed
- 3:12Speaker 2: when they got on the flight. Dirty hoodies, dirty sweats,
- 3:18Speaker 2: They literally look half asleep. Their hair is a mess,
- 3:21Speaker 2: maybe they didn't brush your teeth. I know, I'm sorry
- 3:23Speaker 2: to be gross. Like I usually catch the first fly
- 3:25Speaker 2: out flight out from a Newark Airport, and so it is.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You know, it's possible people rolled out of bed at
- 3:31Speaker 2: three am, they got their at five am for the
- 3:33Speaker 2: first flight, and they didn't brush your teeth or whatever.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's gross. It's gross you were in public around other people.
- 3:39Speaker 2: But I know the attitude today from so many is
- 3:42Speaker 2: I don't care what people think. Okay, it's not about that.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Have a little self pride. How about that. You want
- 3:48Speaker 2: to be seen looking disgusting and having people kind of
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's just nasty. I've seen people the minute they get
- 3:54Speaker 2: on the plane, they get down to their socks or
- 3:57Speaker 2: bare feet. That grosses me out because then they walk
- 4:00Speaker 2: to the to the lavatory barefooted. You know, when you
- 4:03Speaker 2: walk into a bathroom on a plane, it's all sticky
- 4:06Speaker 2: with urine that splashes, and it's nasty. You want your
- 4:09Speaker 2: bare feet to touch that. I've watched them sit on
- 4:12Speaker 2: their bare feet where they get especially young ladies, they
- 4:15Speaker 2: kind of sit on their feet on their chair, on
- 4:19Speaker 2: their seat, and so they got their bare feet and
- 4:21Speaker 2: they're touching their bare feet. I'm sorry to be on
- 4:22Speaker 2: the foot thing, but it's like now you're going to
- 4:25Speaker 2: touch other things and shake people's hands and stuff. No, no,
- 4:28Speaker 2: learn a little, learn a little decorum. And then the
- 4:31Speaker 2: grossest was about six months ago when I saw this guy,
- 4:34Speaker 2: not kidding, clipping toenails in their seats. I know, I'm
- 4:40Speaker 2: is he Your engineers looking at me like, shut up,
- 4:42Speaker 2: ors out of change it, change it. I'm telling you
- 4:45Speaker 2: it's nasty. I've seen people change their baby diapers on
- 4:48Speaker 2: the pull down table. That's where someone's going to put
- 4:50Speaker 2: their food the next flight. So all I'm saying is
- 4:53Speaker 2: like Sean Duffy said, and he didn't get into this
- 4:55Speaker 2: gross detail, try to act more civilized. That's all just
- 4:59Speaker 2: a little more so liized in society. Think of other people.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Would you like to sit down at a seat where
- 5:05Speaker 2: somebody else had their bare feet? So then don't do it.
- 5:08Speaker 2: To the next guy, call and share. Maybe you have
- 5:10Speaker 2: a nicer story than that. Eight hundred three two one
- 5:13Speaker 2: zero seven ten. This is seven ten w R. The
- 5:17Speaker 2: Voice of New York Ken Rosotto Infra Mark. Well, I'm
- 5:20Speaker 2: sure you heard by now about US District Judge Cameron
- 5:23Speaker 2: McCowan Curry, the radical leftist activist Biden appointee who threw
- 5:28Speaker 2: out the James Comy and Letitia James indictments. Her argument
- 5:33Speaker 2: was that the prosecutor was no longer legally in power
- 5:36Speaker 2: as a prosecutor, so the cases had to be dismissed
- 5:39Speaker 2: on a technicality. So immediately tiss James and James Comy
- 5:43Speaker 2: took victory laps. All arrogant and the ms now types,
- 5:48Speaker 2: all the liberals with the with the you know, the
- 5:51Speaker 2: ear rings through their nose and the pink hair looking
- 5:54Speaker 2: like five hundred pounds like they're on their last breath.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Maybe they maybe they should rethink their joy because the
- 6:03Speaker 2: cases were dismissed without prejudice. Listen to the law professor
- 6:10Speaker 2: Jonathan Turley, listened to what he had to say.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Letitia James took a bit of a victory lap after
- 6:14Speaker 4: this decision, and I think she missed the two words
- 6:18Speaker 4: that followed dismissal. And there was dismissal without prejudice. So
- 6:23Speaker 4: the Trump administration, even if they lose on appeal, could
- 6:28Speaker 4: seek out a new indictment. This is not over for James,
- 6:31Speaker 4: or call me. The judge specifically said, I am not
- 6:35Speaker 4: going to grant your motion to dismiss with prejudice. I'm
- 6:38Speaker 4: going to allow them to cure this problem.
- 6:41Speaker 2: So what that means is it's going to take time,
- 6:44Speaker 2: but the government's going to come back after them. If
- 6:46Speaker 2: call me and James want to ensure the charges will
- 6:49Speaker 2: be refiled, keep gloating, keep gloating. That will ensure that
- 6:53Speaker 2: you will go back to court and next time every
- 6:56Speaker 2: I will be dotted and T will be crossed. So
- 6:59Speaker 2: the Trump administration plans to first appeal the activist judges
- 7:03Speaker 2: decision to the Fourth US Circuit Court of Appeals that's
- 7:06Speaker 2: in Richmond, Virginia. That used to be considered kind of
- 7:09Speaker 2: a conservative stalwart court, but in recent years it shifted
- 7:13Speaker 2: a little more left. So they have a shot at that.
- 7:16Speaker 2: If that doesn't work, they will refile the charges and
- 7:20Speaker 2: this time they'll do it with a different prosecutor and
- 7:22Speaker 2: it will go through because the case is Look, you're
- 7:25Speaker 2: innocent until proven guilty. But certainly the case against Letitia James.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You have documents that she signed that it was unquestionable.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I mean Mark was talking about this yesterday. I heard
- 7:35Speaker 2: him talking about it yesterday. You signed a document that
- 7:38Speaker 2: says you live full time in a residence in Virginia,
- 7:42Speaker 2: and that gives you a lower interest rate on your mortgage.
- 7:45Speaker 2: That's a federal crime. And you get a lower insurance rate,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and you get lower taxes from the local municipality in
- 7:53Speaker 2: the state. So now you are lying to three institutions
- 7:58Speaker 2: using a federal instrument, and you are the Attorney General
- 8:02Speaker 2: of the state of New York. You're not just some
- 8:04Speaker 2: average schmo. So you know how to read a contract? Okay,
- 8:07Speaker 2: how do you defend yourself against that? And on top
- 8:09Speaker 2: of that, to become the Attorney General of New York
- 8:12Speaker 2: you have to live in New York. So how could
- 8:14Speaker 2: you have Virginia as not a residence but your primary residence?
- 8:19Speaker 2: So I'd like to hear you know. Instead, what Letitia
- 8:22Speaker 2: James immediately does is says, this is a Republican trick
- 8:25Speaker 2: and a conspiracy. No, just answer the question did you
- 8:29Speaker 2: sign that document? And if you did so, why, and
- 8:31Speaker 2: then how about the other documents at the other houses.
- 8:33Speaker 2: She has all the other houses she allegedly did the
- 8:35Speaker 2: same thing in So you have to scratch your head
- 8:38Speaker 2: and say, you are the attorney general at the very
- 8:41Speaker 2: least you should you should be out on a level
- 8:44Speaker 2: playing field with everybody else. She's trying to be above
- 8:46Speaker 2: the law here. And remember the Democrats kept saying about Trump.
- 8:49Speaker 2: No one is above the law. Seven ten wr the
- 8:53Speaker 2: Voice of New York. This is Ken Risotto in for
- 8:56Speaker 2: the wonderful Mark Simone and joining his day off. And
- 8:59Speaker 2: in New Jersey, my beloved state of New Jersey. New
- 9:03Speaker 2: Jersey lawmakers have introduced a bill that would ban ice
- 9:06Speaker 2: agents and other law enforcement who interact with the public
- 9:10Speaker 2: from wearing masks or what they call disguises. The bill
- 9:14Speaker 2: would still allow undercover officers and those wearing shields and
- 9:18Speaker 2: don't cover their faces. If the shields don't cover their
- 9:21Speaker 2: faces or medical masks that's permitted. Violators could face fines
- 9:25Speaker 2: of up to one thousand dollars and they could get
- 9:28Speaker 2: up to six months in jail. Senator Benji Wimberley, I
- 9:32Speaker 2: love it. Listen, don't name your kid Benji, because your
- 9:35Speaker 2: kid's going to grow up to be an adult male.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And how would you like to be fifty five years old?
- 9:38Speaker 2: And people say, hey, Benji, it's just not an adult name.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Just think about that, you know, I'm just saying, but
- 9:45Speaker 2: Senator Benji Wimberly said that he's concerned that masked officers
- 9:49Speaker 2: might intimidate immigrant communities, and he said that criminals could
- 9:53Speaker 2: impersonate ICE agents. Okay, really, then here's what I would
- 9:58Speaker 2: say to the ICE ICE senior officers. Tell everybody that
- 10:04Speaker 2: the officers are wearing medical masks, and in that case,
- 10:07Speaker 2: then you can't say that they're violating local law. But
- 10:11Speaker 2: more important than that, technically, because these are not technically
- 10:16Speaker 2: in actuality, because they are federal agents. And we have
- 10:20Speaker 2: something called the supremacy Clause in the Constitution. The state
- 10:24Speaker 2: or local governments can enact all the laws they want.
- 10:26Speaker 2: They do not apply to a federal agent. As long
- 10:29Speaker 2: as a federal agent is following the orders and following
- 10:32Speaker 2: federal law, you can pass all the local laws you want.
- 10:36Speaker 2: And if you try to touch that ICE agent, you
- 10:38Speaker 2: will have your ass holed into jail yourself. So I
- 10:42Speaker 2: guarantee I know a lot of New Jersey State Police officers,
- 10:45Speaker 2: I mean a lot, and they would not follow that order.
- 10:48Speaker 2: You know how, the little cadra of elected officials put
- 10:52Speaker 2: out that internet meme in the last week saying if
- 10:56Speaker 2: you are a member of the military, you do not
- 10:59Speaker 2: have to follow illegal orders. Well, I say the same
- 11:02Speaker 2: thing now to the New Jersey State Police, and I
- 11:04Speaker 2: don't have to because they're well aware of it. If
- 11:07Speaker 2: New Jersey's legislature, which is all far left, radical leftist liberals,
- 11:13Speaker 2: if they enact a passive bill and the governor, the
- 11:16Speaker 2: new governor, Governor Mikey, if they sign that into law
- 11:20Speaker 2: and it says that you must arrest an ice agent
- 11:23Speaker 2: wearing a mask, I guarantee those state police will say no, no,
- 11:28Speaker 2: you go ahead and arrest them yourself. Senator, I'm not
- 11:31Speaker 2: going to arrest them because they know that under the
- 11:34Speaker 2: supremacy Clause of the Constitution, you, as a state police
- 11:37Speaker 2: officer in New Jersey, could be hauled up against the
- 11:39Speaker 2: wall and have your butt cuffed and taken to federal
- 11:42Speaker 2: prison if you try to stop a federal agent from
- 11:45Speaker 2: doing their job. Just a fact. If you doubt me,
- 11:48Speaker 2: or if you have an alternate opinion, try and debate it.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Go ahead, and I'll cite you the Constitution. In fact,
- 11:54Speaker 2: let's just do it right now, save you the time. Okay.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It's a direct violation of Article six, paragraph two US Constitution,
- 12:01Speaker 2: which has quote a state or municipality cannot pass a
- 12:04Speaker 2: law that interferes with the execution of federal law or
- 12:07Speaker 2: the duties of federal agents. So maybe the good state
- 12:11Speaker 2: senators missed that day in school in New Jersey. In
- 12:14Speaker 2: our eleven o'clock hour, we will speak to congressional candidate
- 12:17Speaker 2: Billy Prempe, he is a Republican running for Congress in
- 12:21Speaker 2: New Jersey's ninth congressional district, about the foolishness of states
- 12:26Speaker 2: or local municipalities trying to pass what are obviously symbolic
- 12:30Speaker 2: laws that cannot be enforced. Seven ten wore the Voice
- 12:35Speaker 2: of New York Ken Rosanto in from Mark the day
- 12:37Speaker 2: before Thanks to Giving. Oh man, do I love Thanksgiving?
- 12:41Speaker 2: By the way, here, I remember I told you I
- 12:43Speaker 2: was going to talk about food. For a second, I
- 12:45Speaker 2: talk about food. I used to work with the beautiful
- 12:49Speaker 2: and awesome Laurie Stokes at Channel seven. Remember Laurie. She is,
- 12:54Speaker 2: by the way, off air, as nice and as beautiful
- 12:58Speaker 2: as on air. She's one of my closest friends in
- 13:03Speaker 2: the world. And Laurie is the type person if I
- 13:05Speaker 2: don't talk to her in a year, which isn't the case,
- 13:07Speaker 2: but if I don't talk to her in a year,
- 13:08Speaker 2: and then I talk to her, it's like we've been
- 13:10Speaker 2: talking every day. Just a great lady. She is also
- 13:13Speaker 2: one of the best darn cooks you'll ever encounter. The
- 13:15Speaker 2: food of if you ever find yourself in that situation,
- 13:18Speaker 2: it's delicious. She taught me a recipe for stuffing that
- 13:23Speaker 2: kicks a button. I'm gonna talk about it through the
- 13:25Speaker 2: show a little bit, but I got to share that.
- 13:28Speaker 2: In fact, it was on my show that I do
- 13:30Speaker 2: in New Jersey. We taped it yesterday so I could
- 13:32Speaker 2: put it on the air and still come here. But
- 13:34Speaker 2: the key is layers of flavor, and Laurie takes She
- 13:39Speaker 2: takes three types of breads. She would take like rye
- 13:43Speaker 2: bread sour dough, and like a whole grain chunk type
- 13:47Speaker 2: it in type, cut it into chunks, toasted off with
- 13:51Speaker 2: herbs like fresh stage tons of fresh rosemary and a
- 13:55Speaker 2: little melted butter. Toasts that in the oven and then
- 13:59Speaker 2: put that in a bowl and add to that some
- 14:00Speaker 2: sauteed onions with garlic, a splash of a stock that's reduced,
- 14:06Speaker 2: and then bake that off in the oven with more
- 14:08Speaker 2: butter and more herbs. I'm telling you it's crazy, But
- 14:11Speaker 2: what she does is instead of adding sausage. She takes
- 14:14Speaker 2: dark meat like chicken thigh meat and shreds that and
- 14:17Speaker 2: puts that in. Because you're in the poultry theme, you
- 14:20Speaker 2: roast that off in the oven, or bake that off
- 14:22Speaker 2: in the oven and serve that. I'm telling you it's
- 14:24Speaker 2: the best darned stuffing. Somebody wants more, a more detailed recipe,
- 14:30Speaker 2: you could reach out to me on Instagram, find my
- 14:32Speaker 2: Instagram account Ken Rosotto on Instagram there and you'll you'll
- 14:36Speaker 2: see that. Or on Facebook. I'm Ken Rosotto on Facebook too,
- 14:39Speaker 2: and I will give you this specific recipe. But it
- 14:42Speaker 2: is good. Seven ten w o R the Voice of
- 14:44Speaker 2: New York Again. It's Ken Rosotto in for Mark on
- 14:48Speaker 2: your Wednesday ten twenty is our time right now and
- 14:51Speaker 2: again when we come up come back in just a moment.
- 14:53Speaker 2: We want to take your calls. It's eight hundred three
- 14:55Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten eight hundred three to
- 14:58Speaker 2: two one zero seven for seven to ten WR.
- 15:03Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Ken from today, Here's Ken Rosatto, had a very good Wednesday.
- 15:12Speaker 2: The day before. We go straight to our busy phones
- 15:15Speaker 2: and here's the man who sets off my holiday perfectly
- 15:18Speaker 2: Vincent from Brooklyn.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Good morning, Vincent, Good morning Ken and bonifesta do ringraciamento day.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Hey on a tour for me.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Thank you and you's a for translation. Happy Thanksgiving to
- 15:30Speaker 2: you and your family. Thank you and.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Santis exactly Ken. Ken. Also, they didn't even I don't
- 15:36Speaker 5: know if they filed the case in New York against
- 15:39Speaker 5: Latisha James. But she has a five family house here
- 15:42Speaker 5: and she listed in the fourth family house and that
- 15:45Speaker 5: goes against the rules of building registration, which she just
- 15:50Speaker 5: had to, like I had to fill out and have
- 15:54Speaker 5: submitted by the end of August. Now coming up next
- 15:57Speaker 5: week is the bedbug registration. You have to submit that
- 16:03Speaker 5: your apartments either did and you had the problem fixed
- 16:07Speaker 5: or never did have bad bugs, and you have to
- 16:11Speaker 5: sign that doc. You have to go online and electronically
- 16:15Speaker 5: signed that document and resubmitted to the city. That's next week.
- 16:19Speaker 5: So she's on. She could get her easily in trouble
- 16:23Speaker 5: in New York if yeah decide to pursue it.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Is and also in Massachusetts, remember she has another one
- 16:29Speaker 2: in Massachusetts. She's got homes all over the place, and
- 16:32Speaker 2: I think that's listed as a second home. You could
- 16:35Speaker 2: do that as a second home. That's okay, But I
- 16:37Speaker 2: think in Massachusetts she may and this is I don't
- 16:40Speaker 2: know for sure, but I believe she was renting that out.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Now the question is did she pay her income tax?
- 16:46Speaker 2: She may have, I don't know. I'm asking did she
- 16:49Speaker 2: pay her income tax on rent from that home or
- 16:51Speaker 2: did she list it just as a second home for herself?
- 16:54Speaker 2: But she is allegedly renting that out. So there are
- 16:56Speaker 2: a lot of questions here. And if you're going to
- 16:58Speaker 2: be the chief law enforcement officer of this, say to
- 17:00Speaker 2: New York, you better follow the law yourself exactly.
- 17:03Speaker 5: And there's I don't know how you get around here
- 17:06Speaker 5: in New York. How you get around, say in an
- 17:10Speaker 5: apartment on the building only has four units when it
- 17:13Speaker 5: has five. Because also when you fill out your insurance,
- 17:17Speaker 5: when you have to buy your insurance, whether you buy
- 17:20Speaker 5: it every year or every three years like some people do,
- 17:25Speaker 5: because if you buy it all at once for three years,
- 17:27Speaker 5: you got to get a break on the rate because
- 17:29Speaker 5: you got to pay up all at once. You still
- 17:31Speaker 5: have to put down And she also be maybe liable.
- 17:35Speaker 2: For insurance, right because if you say that it's your
- 17:38Speaker 2: personal residence as opposed to a residence you're renting out.
- 17:41Speaker 2: You get different rates, and you also pay different rates
- 17:44Speaker 2: in taxes in some communities. So no that.
- 17:47Speaker 5: But here's the thing. Can you also you're lying because
- 17:51Speaker 5: it has four units and it has five units, and
- 17:54Speaker 5: you're telling the insurance company it has four So there's
- 17:59Speaker 5: a a liability on you on their pot because it
- 18:03Speaker 5: has five units, and you're lessening the liability by life
- 18:07Speaker 5: it's say hated as.
- 18:09Speaker 2: There's no question. Look, there's no question. There was some
- 18:11Speaker 2: some dancing around fact. The issue is she's she's going
- 18:16Speaker 2: to try to make the argument. I'm sure that it
- 18:19Speaker 2: was the attorney that did this. But you are the
- 18:22Speaker 2: attorney general. You are an attorney, so you should know better.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You should double and triple check anything before you sign it.
- 18:29Speaker 2: If you're going to be in public office.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Ken. On all of the building registrations, it says, are
- 18:34Speaker 5: you an agent for the landlord? Meanwhile you a rental
- 18:38Speaker 5: agent like a big real estate company, right, and if
- 18:41Speaker 5: you are, you still have to have the landlord sign
- 18:45Speaker 5: the official document.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Hey Ben, get out of it. If you did it,
- 18:51Speaker 2: you would be in jail in a heart right now.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You would be we'd be calling you, and you'd be
- 18:55Speaker 2: as a hey, I only got two more minutes left
- 18:57Speaker 2: in two quarters. That's that's what would be the case.
- 18:59Speaker 2: So you know that we would be treated quite differently.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Unfortunately, also she has the legal slush fund here that
- 19:07Speaker 6: Kathy Hkal set up for of ten million dollars that
- 19:10Speaker 6: she could tap into, which we would never have the
- 19:13Speaker 6: advantage of something like that.
- 19:15Speaker 5: And unfortunately all of us New Yorkers are on the
- 19:18Speaker 5: hook for her, for her bill.
- 19:20Speaker 2: That's why I live in New Jersey. Vincent, you are
- 19:22Speaker 2: the best, my friend. Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you are.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Do you By the way, I gotta quickly ask, do
- 19:27Speaker 2: you guys do a pasta with your turkey?
- 19:30Speaker 5: No? Just only when my grandfather used to come home,
- 19:33Speaker 5: because he would he would he would do we'd have
- 19:36Speaker 5: a lesignia and turkey. No, I just do I just
- 19:39Speaker 5: do a turkey.
- 19:41Speaker 2: You're you're an a medigan. You're in a medigan all.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Over Tomorrow night, Tomorrow night, I'll probably I'll leave pasta.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Well maybe tonight. I'll see maybe tonight and Friday night
- 19:54Speaker 5: I'll leave pasta.
- 19:55Speaker 2: There you go, listen, enjoy it, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
- 19:58Speaker 2: We will talk to you. I'm back on Friday for
- 20:00Speaker 2: to So what do you hear it? All one?
- 20:01Speaker 5: All right?
- 20:03Speaker 2: You thank you, sir, oh Man, I love talking Vincent
- 20:07Speaker 2: and and robbed you too, and Franklin score Happy Thanksgiving?
- 20:10Speaker 2: How are you, sir?
- 20:11Speaker 7: Happy Thanksgiving to you, Ken and you and your family,
- 20:14Speaker 7: you know, uh you and uh and and uh Laurie
- 20:18Speaker 7: you had you It was it was great listening to you.
- 20:20Speaker 7: I listened as a retired transit cup. I listened to
- 20:23Speaker 7: you guys when you're on in mid day, you know, yeah, yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 7: The thing is with with the cases with Tommy and
- 20:32Speaker 7: and and Letitia.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Uh they're both guilty.
- 20:36Speaker 7: But the thing is like Pam Bonding was against uh
- 20:39Speaker 7: uh prosecuting call me. I mean she did. She thought
- 20:42Speaker 7: it was a weak case. She she had the assistant,
- 20:45Speaker 7: her assistant d A. He didn't he uh didn't want to,
- 20:49Speaker 7: you know, file charges. And then when the time was
- 20:52Speaker 7: running out, what did they ext What did Trump expect?
- 20:55Speaker 7: I was a real estate uh attorney to to you know,
- 20:59Speaker 7: and the time was running out, she got you can
- 21:02Speaker 7: you can indict a ham Sandwich and uh and and
- 21:07Speaker 7: Ady McCarty said on Fox about two months ago he said,
- 21:10Speaker 7: this case will never go against Tom, It'll never go
- 21:13Speaker 7: to front.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Let me say this, if I may rub only only
- 21:15Speaker 2: a couple of things. Number One, I think part of
- 21:17Speaker 2: the punishment is this. You know they knew. I think
- 21:20Speaker 2: deep down this wasn't going to go very far. But
- 21:22Speaker 2: they want to bankrupt the guy. Let's make his life. Hell,
- 21:24Speaker 2: see the difference. When they did this to Trump, he
- 21:26Speaker 2: had five billion in the bank, So I lose half
- 21:29Speaker 2: a billion. What's a big deal when you do it
- 21:31Speaker 2: to Komy. Now, I grant that he probably has a
- 21:33Speaker 2: lot of money stashed here and there, but he probably
- 21:35Speaker 2: will lose that money in defending himself. So I think
- 21:38Speaker 2: that's part. If they want to make it as painful
- 21:39Speaker 2: in existence as possible, let him have some sleepless nights
- 21:42Speaker 2: after what he put other people through. And I'm sure
- 21:44Speaker 2: that is the punishment in the back of their minds.
- 21:46Speaker 2: In terms of indicting a ham Sandwich, though, if you
- 21:48Speaker 2: look at the district where it was done, yes and no.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I mean you never can tell with a grand jury.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I've seen Steph where you say grand Juri will never
- 21:56Speaker 2: indict and they indict, and other cases where you say
- 21:58Speaker 2: this is a slam dunk and they don't, so you
- 22:00Speaker 2: never really know, but we'll see what happens. Look, they're
- 22:03Speaker 2: gonna appeal, and if the appeal doesn't work, they will
- 22:05Speaker 2: refile charges that.
- 22:07Speaker 7: It makes a lot of sense what you're saying.
- 22:10Speaker 2: More importantly, though, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? Are you?
- 22:13Speaker 2: And what does your family?
- 22:14Speaker 7: My sister, my sister has us over my You know,
- 22:17Speaker 7: a lot of relatives are no longer with us, but
- 22:20Speaker 7: my sister, my brother and sister in law. She cooks
- 22:23Speaker 7: turkey and pasta.
- 22:24Speaker 2: There you go.
- 22:24Speaker 7: We're Irish, mostly Irish, a little German, but you know
- 22:28Speaker 7: we're into the pasta with the turkey down with him.
- 22:30Speaker 2: By the way, my friends, I'm not kidding about this,
- 22:33Speaker 2: and I mean no insult to my family. I had
- 22:35Speaker 2: my one of my dearest friends growing up. His name
- 22:37Speaker 2: is Bill Dirton Gerald. Give me a shout out. His
- 22:39Speaker 2: dad Irish and German. His dad used to make the
- 22:42Speaker 2: best damn pasta and pasta sauce ever ever, and I
- 22:46Speaker 2: used to love and yet he never ate it himself.
- 22:48Speaker 2: He didn't like pasta, but he made nobody's business. Something
- 22:52Speaker 2: about following the rules and the and the anyway, just delicious.
- 22:55Speaker 2: He's out there listening right now. So I give a
- 22:57Speaker 2: shout out to mister Dirtinger.
- 22:58Speaker 7: God, God bless you can. Thanks for bringing up Lawi's name.
- 23:01Speaker 8: You know.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Yeah, I just saw you guys were great. You guys
- 23:04Speaker 7: were great together on the news.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Thank you. Bill. Bill Evans had us all out in
- 23:08Speaker 2: the Hamptons a couple of weeks ago, so I was
- 23:10Speaker 2: at with her and we had a good time. It
- 23:11Speaker 2: was nice to see her again. And Rob, you have
- 23:13Speaker 2: a happy Thanksgiving, my friend. Thanks for checking in all right.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Seven to ten WR the Voice of New York. This
- 23:19Speaker 2: is Ken Rootto win from Mark the day before Thanksgiving.
- 23:22Speaker 2: A little bit later we'll speak with financial expert Ron
- 23:24Speaker 2: Glasgow about how Americans planned to spend their money this
- 23:27Speaker 2: Black Friday. At least one survey suggests people plan to
- 23:30Speaker 2: spend less this year than last.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven to
- 23:35Speaker 1: ten woor filling in for Mark.
- 23:38Speaker 9: Here again is Ken Rosatto.
- 23:40Speaker 2: And good to be with you on the Wednesday before
- 23:43Speaker 2: Thanksgiving and Mark has enjoined a nice long weekend.
- 23:46Speaker 5: You know.
- 23:46Speaker 2: New data from Deloitte shows that Americans are planning on
- 23:49Speaker 2: spending less this Black Friday. Than in years past. It's
- 23:53Speaker 2: a reversal from tradition. Financial expert Ron Glasgow is here
- 23:57Speaker 2: to talk about some possible reasons why and what MA
- 24:01Speaker 2: way you want to do to ensure that we have
- 24:03Speaker 2: our budgets done to control in twenty twenty six.
- 24:05Speaker 9: Good morning, Ron.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Glasgow, Good morning. How are you good? Very good? Happy
- 24:09Speaker 2: Thanksgiving in a little early So this Deloitte data should
- 24:13Speaker 2: be a little concerning, right does it suggest a contraction
- 24:16Speaker 2: of economy? The economy could be on the way.
- 24:19Speaker 8: Yeah, I think it makes that suggestion. And I always
- 24:21Speaker 8: say you never want to look at any one article.
- 24:23Speaker 8: You want to look at a spattering. But you know,
- 24:25Speaker 8: article after article shows that consumer confidence is really down,
- 24:30Speaker 8: probably for the lowest sense three or four years ago,
- 24:32Speaker 8: when interest rates were really spiking. So, you know, to me,
- 24:37Speaker 8: it just feels like we've been on this bull market
- 24:39Speaker 8: for so long. You know, stocks are at all time high,
- 24:42Speaker 8: golden at all time high, everything's sort of at all
- 24:45Speaker 8: time high, and you know, nothing goes up forever. So
- 24:48Speaker 8: to me, it kind of feels like a jack in
- 24:49Speaker 8: the box. And you know, every quarter that goes by
- 24:51Speaker 8: when we have these new highs, it's kind of turning
- 24:54Speaker 8: that crank a quarter of return and soon or later
- 24:56Speaker 8: that jack's going to come out of the box.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, like musical chairs, music stops. No extra chair. Sorry.
- 25:02Speaker 2: The data is showing now that people who make under
- 25:04Speaker 2: fifty thousand a year plan on scaling back spending by
- 25:07Speaker 2: twelve percent. People who weren't over two hundred thousand plan
- 25:10Speaker 2: on cutting back eighteen percent. That shocked me because I
- 25:13Speaker 2: thought the people who made over two hundred thousand, well,
- 25:15Speaker 2: they'll make it up. Yeah, they'll be spending more money.
- 25:17Speaker 2: So is it just that people don't feel secure now
- 25:20Speaker 2: overall about what's coming up in the next couple of quarters.
- 25:24Speaker 8: Yeah, I think that's really it. You know, the markets
- 25:27Speaker 8: hate uncertainty, and there's quite a bit of that right now.
- 25:29Speaker 8: But just everyday people, you know, I'm pretty plugged into
- 25:33Speaker 8: my community and it's a fairly well to do community,
- 25:36Speaker 8: and people are, you know, concerned about prices. You know,
- 25:39Speaker 8: I did a podcast a while ago and on that
- 25:42Speaker 8: particular day, inflation came in at three percent instead of
- 25:45Speaker 8: three point one, and the market cent are all time high.
- 25:48Speaker 8: Well that's great for eggheads like me, but for everyday
- 25:51Speaker 8: people it doesn't matter, you know, it's you have this
- 25:55Speaker 8: massive run up in inflation. So now this set are control,
- 25:57Speaker 8: it doesn't mean that prices dial back. People were just
- 26:00Speaker 8: still gaining at a reasonable pace on top of that
- 26:03Speaker 8: massive jump, and that's very difficult to deal with.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I've heard some people say that. In fact,
- 26:08Speaker 2: Sean Hennedy was talking about this the other night. He said, look,
- 26:10Speaker 2: it's going to take until at least the middle of
- 26:12Speaker 2: next year before you see some of the changes that
- 26:17Speaker 2: were enacted by the Trump administration in terms of positively
- 26:21Speaker 2: affecting the economy. And then, if you know, you're maybe
- 26:23Speaker 2: too young to remember this, I'm fifty eight. Back in
- 26:26Speaker 2: the Reagan days, everybody said, oh, look it's reconomics isn't working.
- 26:30Speaker 2: It's a big failure. It took till two years, and
- 26:33Speaker 2: at two years, all of a sudden the economy flips.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Because in the late seventies we had total malays. It
- 26:39Speaker 2: was a horrible economy, and people thought that was the
- 26:42Speaker 2: new normal. But it shifted. Nineteen eighty two to nineteen
- 26:46Speaker 2: eighty eight, the economy was gangbusters. So do we just
- 26:48Speaker 2: have to be patient or do you think this might
- 26:50Speaker 2: be kind of a long term deal to deal with.
- 26:54Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, I do think that we need to
- 26:57Speaker 8: be patient, and that's one thing Americans just aren't very
- 26:59Speaker 8: good at.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 27:01Speaker 8: You know, you people like love to throw darts at
- 27:03Speaker 8: President Trump, and I get it. The guy's a lightning
- 27:06Speaker 8: rod more than any other president I've ever seen in
- 27:08Speaker 8: my lifetime. And I do remember the great round of
- 27:09Speaker 8: Riggan by the way, Yes, but but uh, you know,
- 27:13Speaker 8: he's the lightning rod. So he's gonna get his share
- 27:15Speaker 8: of criticism and his followers are gonna love what he says.
- 27:17Speaker 8: But you know, the things you do with tariffs. You know,
- 27:20Speaker 8: I grew up with a steel mill town, and I
- 27:22Speaker 8: know that the Chinese would take advantage of us in
- 27:25Speaker 8: the seventies. So it's good he's doing some things. I
- 27:28Speaker 8: think what makes people nervous is is sort of this
- 27:31Speaker 8: back and forth. You know, we're gonna tax Brazil on coffee.
- 27:35Speaker 8: We're gonna tax Vietnam on coffee. Now we're gonna take
- 27:37Speaker 8: that away. So but that's his style. You know, the
- 27:39Speaker 8: guy gets results and that's just the way he works
- 27:41Speaker 8: and just unsettling to some people. But yes, I think
- 27:44Speaker 8: patients is key, and don't be afraid for the market.
- 27:47Speaker 5: To pull back.
- 27:48Speaker 8: That's a very normal thing. You know, earlier this year
- 27:51Speaker 8: we had one, and man, you just before we were in
- 27:53Speaker 8: the middle of a great recession again. People are kind
- 27:55Speaker 8: of freaking out, and you know, you've got to uh
- 27:58Speaker 8: manage your savings and your investments for sort of an
- 28:01Speaker 8: all weather portfolio and anticipate those pullbacks because they do occur.
- 28:05Speaker 2: I think Trump is doing kind of a ropidope. You know,
- 28:07Speaker 2: he confuses you, he makes you look over here, and
- 28:09Speaker 2: then he does something on the other side. He really
- 28:12Speaker 2: is the kind of guy people, you know, many on
- 28:14Speaker 2: the left call him nuts, they call him he's losing it.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I think he is genius on a level that we
- 28:20Speaker 2: don't understand, and he plays chess on such a level
- 28:24Speaker 2: that we can't comprehend. And I just really do think
- 28:28Speaker 2: that what we look at as confusion or as lack
- 28:31Speaker 2: of planning is very planned on his part.
- 28:35Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, clearly he's much more than I am.
- 28:38Speaker 8: You know, I'm a former marine. I could barely play checkers,
- 28:42Speaker 8: let alone, so he's got me.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I can't even play checkers.
- 28:45Speaker 10: So you know, another guy.
- 28:46Speaker 8: That reminds me of is Jim Harbaugh, the football you know,
- 28:49Speaker 8: supposedly he thrives on a chaotic environment and that's how
- 28:52Speaker 8: he coaches and very successful. It is rare, but it
- 28:55Speaker 8: works for certain people.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Absolutely. Well. Look, the only thing that really concerns me,
- 28:59Speaker 2: I'm sure if you're you clearly know, but better than
- 29:02Speaker 2: the economy. Better on the economy than me. Consumer spending
- 29:06Speaker 2: accounts for seventy percent of the GDP, and so how
- 29:10Speaker 2: will a possible downswing of four percent and spending impact
- 29:14Speaker 2: our gross domestic product?
- 29:17Speaker 8: Yeah, and you know, I can't do the calculations on
- 29:19Speaker 8: the fly, but that is a massive concern. America's business
- 29:23Speaker 8: is business, and so when people stop spending and doing business,
- 29:26Speaker 8: it kind of has an avalanche effect. So that's the
- 29:29Speaker 8: real concern, is that people stop, and you know, I
- 29:32Speaker 8: think you're good to see it slow just because people
- 29:35Speaker 8: are starting to run out of money.
- 29:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:37Speaker 8: Something that is a little silly, but it comes to mind,
- 29:40Speaker 8: is if you remember the subway commercial five five dollars
- 29:42Speaker 8: foot long. I don't know how long ago that was,
- 29:45Speaker 8: but it wasn't very long.
- 29:46Speaker 5: You know.
- 29:46Speaker 8: I had to have my oil changed a couple of
- 29:47Speaker 8: weeks ago, and I stopped in the subway for the
- 29:49Speaker 8: first time in a long time. The cheapest sub on
- 29:52Speaker 8: the Mediu was the Vegie sub at ten dollars.
- 29:53Speaker 2: And twenty cents.
- 29:54Speaker 8: Yeah, so again, I can't remember exactly when that jingle stopped,
- 29:57Speaker 8: but I know no one's income is doubled in that time.
- 30:00Speaker 2: You know what I just went for? Listen. I never
- 30:02Speaker 2: went for a fancy haircut my whole life, honestly. I
- 30:05Speaker 2: mean even when I was a news anchor over at
- 30:07Speaker 2: over at Channel seven here in New York, I always
- 30:09Speaker 2: went to supercuts. I'm sorry, people are gonna laugh. They
- 30:12Speaker 2: tease me all the time. Oh, you must go to
- 30:14Speaker 2: one of those fancy French places. Now I go to
- 30:16Speaker 2: sup I call it sup Pekup. I go to Li supercou.
- 30:19Speaker 2: It used to be like twelve ninety five, it's twenty
- 30:22Speaker 2: six dollars and you could go to a barber and
- 30:25Speaker 2: spend less. Now it seems than it's some supercuts. It's
- 30:28Speaker 2: just amazing. And yes, like you said, in a year,
- 30:31Speaker 2: it jumped from like seventeen or whatever to twenty six.
- 30:34Speaker 2: It's amazing. What's happening to with inflation right now? So
- 30:38Speaker 2: it's a little unnerving, I'm sure. So what's a website
- 30:40Speaker 2: for people to read more about.
- 30:41Speaker 8: You run Oh sure, Glasgow Investments dot com Glasgow like
- 30:45Speaker 8: the City of Scotland Investments dot com.
- 30:47Speaker 2: There you go, Financial expert Ron Glasgow. Thank you for
- 30:50Speaker 2: coming on the Mark Simon Show today. Happy Thanksgiving to.
- 30:52Speaker 8: You you too, Thank you very.

- 31:20Speaker 2: going to be like ridiculously windy and a lot cooler.

- 31:25Speaker 2: feel colder than that. Phone lines are open. We'll take
- 31:28Speaker 2: your calls next eight hundred three to two one zero
- 31:31Speaker 2: seven ten. Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 31:34Speaker 2: It's Ken Rosotto win from Mark on your Wednesday seven
- 31:37Speaker 2: to ten WR coming right back.
- 31:39Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR
- 31:43Speaker 1: Ken from Mark Today, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 31:46Speaker 2: And straight to our busy phones. On this Wednesday, yes,
- 31:49Speaker 2: even the day before Thanksgiving, we go to Robert in Westchester.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Good morning Robert, Good morning Kit.
- 31:56Speaker 11: How are you in? Happy Thanksgiving?
- 31:57Speaker 2: Happy Thanksgiving? What care you for a Robert?
- 32:03Speaker 11: This is my problem with the Democrats and.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Especially the people that vote for them.
- 32:08Speaker 11: For four years, they lied to the entire nation about
- 32:13Speaker 11: immigration and the border. For four years we had the
- 32:17Speaker 11: barbarian hordes stampede our country. And now every taxpayer is
- 32:21Speaker 11: afflicted with having to use their tax dollars not only
- 32:26Speaker 11: to get these people out who are the criminals and
- 32:29Speaker 11: the people who broke the law, but also to feed them,
- 32:31Speaker 11: house them, give them medical attention and aid. So now
- 32:37Speaker 11: when they think about voting next year for the interms,
- 32:41Speaker 11: think about what the Democrats plagued you with. Don't just
- 32:45Speaker 11: think of the present, but think of the future and
- 32:48Speaker 11: the past and what they had done to all of us,
- 32:51Speaker 11: because they lied to you before and they will lie
- 32:54Speaker 11: to you again. Just to do one thing, achieve power.
- 32:58Speaker 11: Impeach Trump, who's doing gangbusters. He's done more for not
- 33:03Speaker 11: only our nation but the world in ten months. Good
- 33:06Speaker 11: bat Ken, I wish you just all the best. By
- 33:09Speaker 11: the way, I will be having palpit tomorrow. But the
- 33:13Speaker 11: Turkey's primary yes on Americano Americano first.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I'm with you too. Thank you, Ken, Thank you Robert.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Happy Thanksgiving again. It's funny Robert says that I remember
- 33:24Speaker 2: asking my grandfather from who was born in Italy, my
- 33:26Speaker 2: father's both both my grandparents. I remember asking my father's father,
- 33:30Speaker 2: what would happen? I was four, what would happen if
- 33:32Speaker 2: we ever went to war with Italy? And he put
- 33:34Speaker 2: his finger in my face and says, you are an American.
- 33:37Speaker 2: If we ever went to war with Italy, you are
- 33:39Speaker 2: an American. You fight for America because you are an American.
- 33:42Speaker 2: You are not an Italian. You may come from the
- 33:45Speaker 2: extraction of Italy, but you are an American. I never
- 33:48Speaker 2: forgot that America first. There you have, and I'm with him.
- 33:51Speaker 2: It is ten fifty nine right now, mostly cloudy mile today,
- 33:54Speaker 2: high's low sixties and partly cloudy tomorrow for Thanksgiving, windy
- 33:57Speaker 2: and cooler, high's low forties. Out on from Mark on
- 34:00Speaker 2: your Wednesday. Coming up a little later, we'll talk with
- 34:02Speaker 2: New Jersey Republican congressional candidate Billy Prempa about the Garden
- 34:06Speaker 2: State's new bill to make it illegal for ice agents
- 34:08Speaker 2: to wear masks. W Oar is the voice of New
- 34:11Speaker 2: York Back after the News.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor filling
- 34:17Speaker 1: in for Mark, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 34:20Speaker 2: That's so nice to be with you. The day before Thanksgiving,
- 34:23Speaker 2: Mark and joined in ice long weekend former New York
- 34:25Speaker 2: City TV news sacred Ken Versato in the seat. I
- 34:28Speaker 2: feel very privileged to be in this seat. I always
- 34:30Speaker 2: feel like when I get up from the seat, I
- 34:31Speaker 2: kind of brush it off from Mark to make sure
- 34:33Speaker 2: it's back to the way it was. For those who
- 34:36Speaker 2: may or may not remember, I'll remind you I was
- 34:39Speaker 2: at Channel seven here in New York doing the morning
- 34:41Speaker 2: and noon show there for about twenty years. A great
- 34:44Speaker 2: time there, and then prior to that, I was a
- 34:46Speaker 2: Channel five. A lot of people don't remember. I did
- 34:48Speaker 2: Good Day Wake Up for about a year and before
- 34:53Speaker 2: I went to seven, but it was it was also
- 34:54Speaker 2: a lot of fun. I still have friends there and
- 34:56Speaker 2: these days I work at a New Jersey based TV
- 35:00Speaker 2: news channel is called on New Jersey and you could
- 35:03Speaker 2: stream it live or watch reruns that we do at
- 35:06Speaker 2: o NNJ dot com n NJ dot com little shameless
- 35:11Speaker 2: plug for my channel Era and it's a good time
- 35:14Speaker 2: there too. I run a food website too for you
- 35:16Speaker 2: foodies called the food Dude. You can check it out
- 35:19Speaker 2: at the food Dude dot us. The food Dude dot Us.
- 35:23Speaker 2: A lot to talk about today. I'm sure you've heard
- 35:26Speaker 2: about the US District Judge Cameron McCowan Curry. That's the
- 35:31Speaker 2: radical leftist activist Biden appointee. Does that sound negative on
- 35:35Speaker 2: my part? Who threw out the James Comy and Letitia
- 35:38Speaker 2: James indictments, And of course Comy he's so smug, He's
- 35:43Speaker 2: so smug. But me thinks James Comy is not going
- 35:46Speaker 2: to end up happy at the end, because even if
- 35:49Speaker 2: he doesn't get convicted of anything, I think the point
- 35:53Speaker 2: of the Justice Department's actions are to make it so
- 35:56Speaker 2: that James Comy spends so much money defending himself that
- 36:00Speaker 2: he will be bankrupt. And I think that's the point.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Does that sound malicious? Yes? Is it something the Democrats
- 36:06Speaker 2: have a PhD In doing it to Republicans over the years,
- 36:09Speaker 2: apps so frickin lutely, and it's about time they get
- 36:12Speaker 2: a little taste of their own medicine. Same thing with
- 36:14Speaker 2: little tissue, James. You know she thinks she's off the hook,
- 36:17Speaker 2: you know, Tish. Sorry, Tish, you signed, allegedly signed all
- 36:21Speaker 2: these documents saying that you would have as your primary
- 36:24Speaker 2: residence your residence in Virginia when you are the Attorney
- 36:27Speaker 2: general of the state of New York and must have
- 36:29Speaker 2: there's a residency requirement here. Than who are you lying to?
- 36:32Speaker 2: Maybe you should leave the position of Attorney general in
- 36:35Speaker 2: New York, right because technically you're saying that Virginia's your
- 36:38Speaker 2: primary residence, so you should leave your position. That's what
- 36:43Speaker 2: you're saying. You lied to somebody, Either you lied on
- 36:46Speaker 2: your documents in Virginia or you lied to the people
- 36:49Speaker 2: of New York saying that this was your primary residence
- 36:52Speaker 2: when it wasn't. So one has to give. You can't
- 36:54Speaker 2: have both simultaneously. They're mutually exclusive. And of course her
- 36:59Speaker 2: argument was that the prosecutor her the judge in this
- 37:03Speaker 2: case who threw out the cases. The argument was the
- 37:06Speaker 2: prosecutor appointed by Trump was no longer legally in power
- 37:10Speaker 2: because it was a temporary and interim appointment by the
- 37:13Speaker 2: Justice Department. So the cases had to be thrown out. Well,
- 37:18Speaker 2: before you get too excited, the cases were dismissed in
- 37:21Speaker 2: a way called without prejudice. To explain that is the
- 37:27Speaker 2: big professor at George Washington University, Jonathan Turley.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Listen up, Poleticia James took a bit of a victory
- 37:33Speaker 4: lap after this decision, and I think she missed the
- 37:37Speaker 4: two words that followed dismissal, and it was dismissal without prejudice.
- 37:43Speaker 4: So the Trump administration, even if they lose on appeal,
- 37:47Speaker 4: could seek out a new indictment. This is not over
- 37:50Speaker 4: for James, or call me. The judge specifically said, I
- 37:54Speaker 4: am not going to grant your motion to dismiss with prejudice.
- 37:58Speaker 4: I'm going to allow them to this problem.
- 38:01Speaker 2: So this means the Justice Department can refile the charges
- 38:06Speaker 2: if they want to ensure Comy and James, if they
- 38:09Speaker 2: want to ensure those charges will be refiled. Keep gloating,
- 38:12Speaker 2: keep besmirching the Trump administration. You will guarantee or be
- 38:18Speaker 2: guaranteed that you will be back in court very soon.
- 38:20Speaker 2: The Trump administration, apparently will first appeal the Act of
- 38:24Speaker 2: as Judges decision to the Fourth US Circuit Court of
- 38:27Speaker 2: appeals in Richmond, Virginia, which used to be considered kind
- 38:30Speaker 2: of a conservative court, but in recent years because of
- 38:33Speaker 2: Biden packing the courts with left wing extremists on purpose,
- 38:38Speaker 2: it's not so much it's more to a left, but
- 38:40Speaker 2: you know the people who are in those districts who
- 38:45Speaker 2: would be on the grand jury, they tend to still
- 38:48Speaker 2: be a little right of center. So we'll see what
- 38:50Speaker 2: happens if it gets to that point. Seven ten wo
- 38:53Speaker 2: r the Voice of New York. It's Ken rostto in
- 38:56Speaker 2: for Mark and New Jersey lawmakers also have been busy.
- 39:01Speaker 2: They've been talking about all sorts of stuff. They want
- 39:02Speaker 2: to ban ice agents and other law enforcement who interact
- 39:07Speaker 2: with the public from wearing masks or disguises. There's a
- 39:11Speaker 2: bill that they introduce. It would allow undercover officers those
- 39:14Speaker 2: wearing shields that don't cover their faces or medical masks,
- 39:17Speaker 2: but they cannot wear something that specifically covers their masks.
- 39:21Speaker 2: It covers their faces rather not revealing their identities to
- 39:24Speaker 2: people on the street, and violators would face fines of
- 39:28Speaker 2: up to one thousand dollars and could get up to
- 39:30Speaker 2: six months in jail. But apparently they have not seen
- 39:34Speaker 2: something called the Constitution and the supremacy clause. So allow
- 39:39Speaker 2: me to read what the supremacy clause is. It's Article six,
- 39:43Speaker 2: paragraph two of the US Constitution. It says, quote, a
- 39:46Speaker 2: state or municipality cannot pass a law that interferes with
- 39:51Speaker 2: the execution of federal law or the duties of federal agents.
- 39:56Speaker 2: So maybe the good state senators in New Jersey and
- 39:58Speaker 2: maybe they missed that day in school. In our later
- 40:02Speaker 2: in this hour, in our next half hour, we will
- 40:04Speaker 2: speak with Congressional candidate Billy Prempa. He is a Republican
- 40:07Speaker 2: running for Congress in New Jersey's ninth congressional district, and
- 40:11Speaker 2: we'll talk to him about the foolishness of states or
- 40:13Speaker 2: local municipalities trying to pass what are obviously just symbolic
- 40:18Speaker 2: laws that cannot be enforced. And also in New Jersey,
- 40:22Speaker 2: funding for beach replenishment was eliminated in the fiscal twenty
- 40:26Speaker 2: twenty five federal budget, and that could spell trouble for
- 40:29Speaker 2: the New Jersey Sure only four of the twelve required
- 40:32Speaker 2: federal spending bills passed. The bill that would fund the
- 40:35Speaker 2: Army Corps of Engineers is now under continuing resolution thanks
- 40:39Speaker 2: to the Democrats without federal dollars, many New Jersey beach
- 40:43Speaker 2: towns are going to have to self fund erosion control
- 40:46Speaker 2: or look for another solution. Well, some local officials are
- 40:50Speaker 2: even looking into new erosion control systems that would be
- 40:53Speaker 2: less expensive, including offshore sand filled barriers. That's what they
- 40:57Speaker 2: do down in Florida, by the way, because if they
- 40:59Speaker 2: had to replenish the sand after every storm, they'd have
- 41:02Speaker 2: been bankrupt decades ago. So look to states like Florida,
- 41:06Speaker 2: Texas or even other countries where they're constantly figuring a
- 41:10Speaker 2: way to preserve their sand. So now the question is,
- 41:13Speaker 2: with the Continuing Resolution still providing funding at last year's level,
- 41:17Speaker 2: why does New Jersey need so much more money in
- 41:19Speaker 2: this year's budget? I mean, seriously, how much more expensive
- 41:23Speaker 2: is it to preserve your shore this year versus last
- 41:25Speaker 2: Did the Army Corps engineers like jack up their prices?
- 41:29Speaker 2: You know, we didn't have a big event like Superstorm Sandy,
- 41:32Speaker 2: So why do you think it's going to be so
- 41:33Speaker 2: much more money this year to replenish your shoreline. It's
- 41:37Speaker 2: because Democrats in a state like New Jersey are always
- 41:39Speaker 2: looking for more money, more money, more money, more money.
- 41:42Speaker 2: In their mindset, just can't get enough. It's just money, money, money,
- 41:45Speaker 2: and it's about taking it from you and giving it
- 41:48Speaker 2: to me. If the state of New Jersey wasn't wasting
- 41:51Speaker 2: billions upon billions of dollars to pay for the nine
- 41:54Speaker 2: hundred thousand plus illegal aliens that we currently know of,
- 41:59Speaker 2: let alone the countless more that we and I say
- 42:01Speaker 2: week as I live in New Jersey, not counting the
- 42:04Speaker 2: countless more that we don't know of, New Jersey would
- 42:06Speaker 2: have tons of extra money without having to raise taxes.
- 42:09Speaker 2: It's liberals in New Jersey who simply do not put
- 42:12Speaker 2: two and two together, nor do they care to do so.
- 42:15Speaker 2: To realize that if you want lower electric rates, less
- 42:18Speaker 2: congestion on highways, teachers who could take better care of
- 42:21Speaker 2: your child because there would be fewer students per classroom,
- 42:25Speaker 2: not to mention lower crime, stop voting Democrat in order
- 42:30Speaker 2: to change the state's sanctuary status so as not to
- 42:34Speaker 2: permit this huge number of illegal aliens. And this is
- 42:37Speaker 2: not an anti immigrant sentiment because my family are immigrants.
- 42:41Speaker 2: This is an anti illegal immigrant sentiment, So stop conflating
- 42:45Speaker 2: all immigrants with illegal immigrants. If the immigrants were here illegally,
- 42:49Speaker 2: they'd be paying taxes, they would have Social Security numbers,
- 42:53Speaker 2: they would be contributing members of society. Okay, we would
- 42:56Speaker 2: have kids that we could account for in schools, and
- 43:00Speaker 2: with the additional local taxes the parents would be paying,
- 43:02Speaker 2: we could build more schools and hire more teachers. But
- 43:05Speaker 2: under the current federal law, we have to educate every
- 43:08Speaker 2: student who comes in, whether legal or not. If they
- 43:11Speaker 2: don't speak English, we have to hire teachers who can
- 43:13Speaker 2: speak multiple languages, and that costs even more. Plus we
- 43:17Speaker 2: have to provide two to three meals a day at
- 43:19Speaker 2: public schools for all students, including the children of the
- 43:22Speaker 2: illegal migrants, under the law. Liberals love to use the
- 43:25Speaker 2: word sustainable. Sustainable, Well, look, it is simply not sustainable
- 43:31Speaker 2: in the state of New Jersey when ten percent of
- 43:35Speaker 2: the current population is illegal, think about that. How staggering
- 43:39Speaker 2: is that a tent one in ten people in the
- 43:42Speaker 2: state of New Jersey that we know of, that's an
- 43:44Speaker 2: absolute fact that we know of is an illegal alien.
- 43:48Speaker 2: That is the approximate number, probably more than that. At
- 43:52Speaker 2: what point do we say enough is enough? You just
- 43:55Speaker 2: can't have an open door and let anybody in and
- 43:59Speaker 2: expect that's not going to have a negative, deleterious impact
- 44:02Speaker 2: on our community. Do we stop when it's fifty percent
- 44:05Speaker 2: of legal aliens. It's ridiculous. We literally have handed over
- 44:09Speaker 2: our nation to anybody who wanted it for the taking.
- 44:12Speaker 2: And you could thank the Democrats and the Biden administration
- 44:15Speaker 2: for the last four years for doing that to us.
- 44:18Speaker 2: That's exactly the legacy of Joe Biden and the Democrats.
- 44:22Speaker 2: But yet they get rewarded for it because you have
- 44:25Speaker 2: liberal Democrats especially and I might let me single out
- 44:29Speaker 2: some groups tends to be white liberal women who are
- 44:33Speaker 2: like thirty thirty five and under. They specifically, they're like
- 44:37Speaker 2: the largest group of hardcore Democrats who will never vote
- 44:40Speaker 2: anything else. I know you're going to say, I'm a
- 44:42Speaker 2: Republican cat, I read it.
- 44:44Speaker 9: No.
- 44:44Speaker 2: But in terms of groups and painting a broad brush there,
- 44:47Speaker 2: that group seems to be like unapologetically Democrat. You cannot
- 44:52Speaker 2: even bring it up with that group for whatever reason.
- 44:55Speaker 2: I think a lot of brainwashing in school and on
- 44:57Speaker 2: social media has to do with that. Seven ten wr
- 45:01Speaker 2: The Voice of New York Ken Rosatto in for Mark.
- 45:04Speaker 2: The phone lines are open eight hundred three two one
- 45:07Speaker 2: zero seven ten. Hey, there was a new Rutgers University
- 45:10Speaker 2: led climate study trying to scare the dickens out of
- 45:13Speaker 2: people into thinking New Jersey could see up to a
- 45:16Speaker 2: three point eight foot sea level rise by the year
- 45:19Speaker 2: twenty one hundred under current carbon emission. By the way,
- 45:23Speaker 2: whenever I do liberal talk, I'm going to add a lisp.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I have that prerogative. That number could rise to four
- 45:29Speaker 2: point five feet if ice sheet melt accelerates. I'll tell
- 45:32Speaker 2: you what. Let's give cows broccoli to eat, and their
- 45:36Speaker 2: farts will cause the oceans to rise a bazillion feet.
- 45:39Speaker 2: I mean. Scientists warned, Can I say farts?
- 45:42Speaker 8: Oh?
- 45:42Speaker 2: Okay? Mark doesn't say farts, does he? Okay, Let's say flatulence.
- 45:46Speaker 2: I'm sorry, so rewind the tape. Is he okay? Good?
- 45:49Speaker 2: So we'll say flatchelo okay, replace the word farts with flatulence. Good.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Scientists warned that flood risk is increasing rapidly across the state,
- 45:57Speaker 2: particularly for coastal and tidal river communities. That's the quote
- 46:01Speaker 2: they gave us from Rutgers. Now, it should be mentioned
- 46:03Speaker 2: that many environmental studies make these scary predictions that can
- 46:07Speaker 2: never be proven. Rush Limbay used to talk about this.
- 46:10Speaker 2: God rest your soul rush, because by the time this
- 46:14Speaker 2: would come true, you and I are going to be
- 46:17Speaker 2: dead twenty one hundred. That's the year twenty one hundred.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Let's see, I'll be one hundred and how many years old?
- 46:23Speaker 2: Not So why don't we all get together in seventy
- 46:25Speaker 2: five years and see if it was true. Every prediction
- 46:28Speaker 2: these liberals, environmentalists, they've all made. It has not come
- 46:31Speaker 2: to pass, none of it. It should also be mentioned,
- 46:34Speaker 2: by the way, the organizations that finance studies like this
- 46:37Speaker 2: one at Rutgers only finance studies that set out to
- 46:41Speaker 2: prove sea levels arising and the cause is human negligence.
- 46:45Speaker 2: You do not get the financing unless that is the premise.
- 46:50Speaker 2: So in others, if I say, well, I'll take a
- 46:52Speaker 2: look at whether humans have an influence on the environment
- 46:55Speaker 2: and sea levels rising, you don't get the money. So
- 46:59Speaker 2: an organization, and like Rutger says okay, we're going to
- 47:02Speaker 2: set out to prove this is so now they get
- 47:05Speaker 2: one hundred million dollar just making up the number one
- 47:07Speaker 2: hundred minion. Now they've get one hundred million. They go
- 47:09Speaker 2: out and they could finance whatever classes and they could
- 47:12Speaker 2: run these studies. But you have to have that as
- 47:15Speaker 2: the premise, So you start out on a liberal premise.
- 47:19Speaker 2: So just to qualify that's what you have to say,
- 47:21Speaker 2: it's unbelievable. Nowhere in the equation is whether sea levels
- 47:26Speaker 2: are actually rising? Are humans impacting sea levels? Is carbon
- 47:31Speaker 2: emission the cause? These leftist radical scientists environmentalists are convinced
- 47:37Speaker 2: that humans are causing too much carbon to be emitted,
- 47:39Speaker 2: and that the excess carbon is raising temperatures, and the
- 47:42Speaker 2: temperatures are melting polarized caps, and the polarized caps melting
- 47:45Speaker 2: are causing sea levels to rise. So they start off
- 47:47Speaker 2: with that foregone conclusion. Then they ask scientists and collegists
- 47:51Speaker 2: to reinforce their crackpot theories that can't be proven by
- 47:55Speaker 2: giving them lots of money they get from environmentalists, wacko donors,
- 47:59Speaker 2: and liberal government entities. Now, there are a lot of
- 48:02Speaker 2: scientists who don't believe those theories at all. They believe
- 48:04Speaker 2: climate is changing, but they don't believe humans have a
- 48:08Speaker 2: significant impact. Maybe a tiny one, but not much because
- 48:11Speaker 2: climate has been changing way before humans came and way
- 48:14Speaker 2: after humans are going to be gone. Climate has always changed.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Just look at history, and there is a way to
- 48:18Speaker 2: do that by taking ice core samples, et cetera. The
- 48:21Speaker 2: Earth has gotten warmer, then it's gotten colder, then it's
- 48:24Speaker 2: gotten warmer, then it's gotten colder. Greenland, perfect example. The
- 48:28Speaker 2: name greenland is called greenland because it used to be green.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Now it's ice covered. So yes, there is climate change,
- 48:34Speaker 2: but humans didn't cause it because it turned icy way
- 48:37Speaker 2: before we had carbon emissions like this. There's documentation all
- 48:41Speaker 2: about it, but we could talk about that on and
- 48:43Speaker 2: on and on. Just don't take what the liberals are
- 48:46Speaker 2: saying seriously and always take these studies with a grain
- 48:48Speaker 2: of salt. Seven ten w R. The Voice of New

- 49:30Speaker 8: Mess great talk to you.
- 49:32Speaker 12: Listen, you were talking about all the illegal aliens in Jersey.
- 49:35Speaker 12: You know, in the South, we work with ice for
- 49:38Speaker 12: the most part, and we find illegal alien so we
- 49:40Speaker 12: send them back. But do you remember a while back
- 49:42Speaker 12: those escapees. One of them went to two Jersey troopers
- 49:47Speaker 12: and they sent him away.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Yes, that was in Newark. They went into the police
- 49:52Speaker 2: precinct in Newark. Yeah. See, and that's where you got

- 50:05Speaker 2: sanctuary city, you don't want to actively go out and
- 50:07Speaker 2: arrest illegal aliens. But when they come to you and
- 50:11Speaker 2: say here I am come on really, I mean.
- 50:15Speaker 12: When I heard that, how was that? Poplecic? I said,
- 50:19Speaker 12: this is phenomenal but you know, it is unbelievable. Tish says,
- 50:23Speaker 12: she has the backs of the police officers and the NYPD,
- 50:26Speaker 12: but then will not work for ICE. So in other words,
- 50:29Speaker 12: the police officers have got to go against these illegal,
- 50:31Speaker 12: hardened criminals and risk their lives. So you tell me
- 50:34Speaker 12: how the two makes sense. Everybody's expounding how wonderful tissue is.
- 50:39Speaker 12: I don't look at it that way. If she was wonderful,
- 50:42Speaker 12: she would be working with ICE to get those hardened
- 50:45Speaker 12: criminals out of that state, out of that city and
- 50:48Speaker 12: protect the police officers and the civilians.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Yeah, the problem, dude, the problem is it's not her,
- 50:54Speaker 2: it's the law. You know, the law in New York
- 50:57Speaker 2: is sanctuary law means that you know, they the city
- 51:00Speaker 2: tells the police what law you know, you're a police officer,
- 51:04Speaker 2: what laws they can and can enforce. And that's part
- 51:07Speaker 2: of the problem. And the prosecutors won't prosecute. I mean,
- 51:09Speaker 2: this is my argument has always been. Look, they talk
- 51:13Speaker 2: about the fact that, you know, that's a federal crime.
- 51:15Speaker 2: We don't have to go after federal crimes. Well, the
- 51:18Speaker 2: problem is robbing a bank, that's an FBI case, that's
- 51:21Speaker 2: a federal crime. How about counterfeiting, how about kidnapping? How
- 51:24Speaker 2: about illegally transporting across state lines? Sex traffick? And these
- 51:29Speaker 2: are all federal crimes, yet local police always always take part.
- 51:34Speaker 2: You pursuing somebody across the state line, that's when it
- 51:36Speaker 2: becomes a federal crime. Yet local police still do it.
- 51:39Speaker 2: I mean, it's pick and choose. You can choose not to.
- 51:43Speaker 2: But how is it if what they're saying is true.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Where you know, we're local police, we can't enforce those crimes.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Then the other thirty five states that do enforce them
- 51:51Speaker 2: and help out ICE, then they're somehow breaking the law.
- 51:55Speaker 12: That exactly right. I'll never forget when Deblasio had a
- 51:59Speaker 12: gallon bad with I think the police commissioner and pill
- 52:02Speaker 12: of marijuana and say you can legally carry this around
- 52:05Speaker 12: New York City. Now, now, apparently in New York City,
- 52:08Speaker 12: everywhere you go, you're smelling marijuana being smoked everywhere. But
- 52:12Speaker 12: that is still against federal law. I do not understand
- 52:16Speaker 12: how New York City is allowing a gallon bag of
- 52:19Speaker 12: marijuana be carried legally in that city.
- 52:21Speaker 2: And technically, as you know, ICE agents or whatever, federal
- 52:24Speaker 2: agents can go around and say all right. I know
- 52:26Speaker 2: that you think it's cool to be smoking pot in public,
- 52:29Speaker 2: but you're under federal arrest. I mean, they could do that, right,
- 52:32Speaker 2: The question is will they and what will the response
- 52:34Speaker 2: from the people be. But you know, now we're finding
- 52:36Speaker 2: out more and more. For years we were told, oh, pot,
- 52:38Speaker 2: it's innocuous, it's not addictive. Now we find out, yeah,
- 52:41Speaker 2: it is addictive. The high, the high THHC pot right
- 52:45Speaker 2: now is dangerous. It causes all sorts of problems.
- 52:48Speaker 12: The THC level in pot used to be three percent
- 52:50Speaker 12: when I was a kid, and I'll be seventy two.
- 52:53Speaker 12: Now it's eighteen to nineteen to twenty percent DHC. This
- 52:57Speaker 12: is engineered marijuana. This is not your grandparents marijuana anymore.
- 53:01Speaker 12: And people are driving on this all the time and
- 53:04Speaker 12: they're extremely dangerous, And I don't know, I just don't
- 53:09Speaker 12: understand how the public is not outraged by all the
- 53:12Speaker 12: money the illegals are causing them and living like this
- 53:16Speaker 12: with people stoned all the time.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Colorado State Police Steward, Colorado State Police, said that the
- 53:22Speaker 2: head of Colorado State Police, where it was first legalized, said,
- 53:25Speaker 2: if he knew then what he knows now about the
- 53:27Speaker 2: number of highway deaths and the fact that you can't
- 53:30Speaker 2: do public enforcement. There is no breathalyzer or roadside test
- 53:34Speaker 2: right that. If he knew that, he he would have said,
- 53:36Speaker 2: absolutely not. We cannot make this legal.
- 53:39Speaker 12: You have to have a blood test. There's no side
- 53:41Speaker 12: of the road other than stigmas and things like that,
- 53:44Speaker 12: and then you can take them in for the blood test.
- 53:45Speaker 12: But as far as as any kind of alcacins or
- 53:48Speaker 12: thing like that, there's nothing except for maybe alcohol, DUIs.
- 53:52Speaker 12: But when you're talking about marijuana, my son was doing
- 53:55Speaker 12: seventy five miles an hour, is a deputy, and he
- 54:00Speaker 12: calls me. He said, Dad, I'm not in my county.
- 54:02Speaker 12: He said, I'm smelling marijuana coming from the car in
- 54:04Speaker 12: front of me and we're doing seventy five miles later
- 54:06Speaker 12: on the interstate.
- 54:07Speaker 2: My god, I mean to laugh, but it's like how
- 54:08Speaker 2: much pods you got to be smoking that you could
- 54:10Speaker 2: smell it in the police car behind your good lord,
- 54:13Speaker 2: it's like arresting Cheech and Chong Stuart. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.
- 54:17Speaker 2: We got to go to news. But I appreciate you
- 54:19Speaker 2: all the time when you call enjoy all right, My gosh,
- 54:23Speaker 2: seven ten wr the Voice of New York and as
- 54:27Speaker 2: Stewart is right, it's crazy, you know. Look, marijuana, you
- 54:31Speaker 2: want to do whatever you want to do in the
- 54:32Speaker 2: privacy of your own home. I'm not going to judge you.
- 54:35Speaker 2: But let's just make one thing clear. Let's you and
- 54:37Speaker 2: I and our friends in relative let's all agree on
- 54:39Speaker 2: one thing. Don't get behind the wheel. Even if you
- 54:42Speaker 2: have a couple of drinks. Let your relative who didn't drink,
- 54:45Speaker 2: let them drive. Because if you have a couple of
- 54:47Speaker 2: drinks and the guy behind you and the guy in
- 54:48Speaker 2: front of you has a couple of drinks, it doesn't
- 54:50Speaker 2: make for a good highway situation. And you don't want
- 54:53Speaker 2: the holidays to become tragic, all right, So let's please
- 54:55Speaker 2: promise that it is a Wednesday. Ken Zattowin from Mark.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Coming up in our next half hour, New Jersey Republican
- 55:01Speaker 2: congressional candidate Billy Prempa. We'll talk about the Garden State's
- 55:05Speaker 2: new bill to make it illegal for ice agents to
- 55:07Speaker 2: wear masks.
- 55:09Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven to ten.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Wor Kin from Mark Today, Here's Ken Rosanna.
- 55:16Speaker 2: And it's so good to be with you that day
- 55:18Speaker 2: before Thanksgiving and our friend here. Billy Prempa is an
- 55:21Speaker 2: Air Force veteran who is running for Congress in New
- 55:24Speaker 2: Jersey's ninth congressional district, which includes the city of Patterson,
- 55:28Speaker 2: a heavily Hispanic district which voted for President Trump. The
- 55:32Speaker 2: New Jersey State Senate recently introduced a bill that would
- 55:35Speaker 2: make it illegal illegal for ice agents to wear masks
- 55:39Speaker 2: when doing their work. It would be punishable by a
- 55:42Speaker 2: fine of up to one thousand dollars in time behind bars.
- 55:45Speaker 2: So we say good morning to Billy Prempa. What do
- 55:48Speaker 2: you think about the nuttiness of the New Jersey State Senate.
- 55:52Speaker 10: I mean, I think you nailed it right there, straight
- 55:54Speaker 10: up nuttiness. I mean, I think Democratic Party is trying
- 55:57Speaker 10: to find any opportunity tobstruct the president Trump is trying
- 56:00Speaker 10: to do in this country. The people want safer streets.
- 56:03Speaker 10: We want to have these people out of our country.
- 56:05Speaker 10: And the truth is that working as an ice agent,
- 56:07Speaker 10: it's a very difficult job. It could be very dangerous.
- 56:10Speaker 10: It even puts you at a risk. And I think
- 56:12Speaker 10: that's having someone arrested and put in jail and find
- 56:16Speaker 10: it only solely done to try and disincentivize our ice
- 56:19Speaker 10: agis from getting their work done. But it only empowers
- 56:22Speaker 10: a criminal at the end of the day.
- 56:24Speaker 2: You know, Billy, I thought the Democrats were the party
- 56:26Speaker 2: that loved masks about it exactly, But they are saying
- 56:32Speaker 2: there would be an exemption to medical masks or to
- 56:35Speaker 2: masks that are see through, like the face shields. So
- 56:37Speaker 2: here's what I would do if I was the head
- 56:40Speaker 2: of ice in the region, I would say, well, these
- 56:41Speaker 2: are medical masks. They're medically required because every one of
- 56:44Speaker 2: our agents was exposed to a substance at work, so
- 56:47Speaker 2: they have to wear medical masks. I mean, technically there's
- 56:50Speaker 2: vagueness in the way the law is written, but I
- 56:53Speaker 2: mean it's unenforceable nonetheless, because right the supremacy Clause of
- 56:57Speaker 2: the Constitution says state and local laws cannot be enacted
- 57:01Speaker 2: that would supersede federal laws.
- 57:05Speaker 10: Yeah, and that's the issue that I think that are
- 57:09Speaker 10: the Democratic Party is doing here is the rules for
- 57:11Speaker 10: the rules, not for me kind of scenario. When the
- 57:15Speaker 10: pandemic was going on, they all weren't favored for it,
- 57:17Speaker 10: but now when people are trying to do their job,
- 57:21Speaker 10: they're completely against it. And the issue is that you
- 57:23Speaker 10: also bring up a very valid point is like, we
- 57:25Speaker 10: don't know who's coming in, what they have, or what
- 57:28Speaker 10: the situation may be. I think it's more different than
- 57:30Speaker 10: police officers even covering their face when they're entering certain circumstances.
- 57:34Speaker 10: We don't know what they may have.
- 57:37Speaker 5: I mean.
- 57:37Speaker 10: And the frustrating thing is is a lot of the
- 57:39Speaker 10: drugs that are coming into this country, pencil particularly, it
- 57:43Speaker 10: only takes a very small amount to hurt you and
- 57:45Speaker 10: affect you. And I think that the safety and the
- 57:48Speaker 10: well being of our ice officers of this paramount, especially
- 57:51Speaker 10: when we don't know who we're dealing with.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Look, the Democrat Party of the United States is responsible
- 57:56Speaker 2: for the greatest trafficking of individual humans in history. Think
- 58:02Speaker 2: about the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of kids
- 58:05Speaker 2: miners who were sex trafficked and permitted to have that
- 58:09Speaker 2: done to them. Literally, with the blessing of the Biden administration,
- 58:14Speaker 2: we lost track of hundreds of thousands of kids. They
- 58:17Speaker 2: came in, they went to sponsor family, sponsor families that
- 58:19Speaker 2: weren't veted. In some cases, you had families literally who
- 58:23Speaker 2: received three hundred kids and then there was no follow
- 58:26Speaker 2: up done. You had phone numbers, And this is not
- 58:29Speaker 2: my opinion. This isn't rumor. This is in a congressional hearing.
- 58:33Speaker 2: You had an agent of the federal government under the
- 58:36Speaker 2: Biden administration saying that there was an eight hundred number
- 58:39Speaker 2: given to these miners when they got to their homes,
- 58:43Speaker 2: their homes of their sponsors in the United States, and
- 58:46Speaker 2: they were told, if there's a problem, if you're stress,
- 58:49Speaker 2: if there's an issue, if you're being abused, call this number.
- 58:51Speaker 2: And apparently only one human being was assigned to answer
- 58:55Speaker 2: that call, and some fifty thousand plus calls came in
- 58:58Speaker 2: and went unanswered. That is disgusting. Where is the prosecution
- 59:03Speaker 2: of these individuals.
- 59:05Speaker 10: Well, I think they're complicit in the human trafficking. And
- 59:09Speaker 10: it's interesting that you mentioned that because in twenty twenty one,
- 59:12Speaker 10: when I went over to the southern border, we were
- 59:13Speaker 10: able to speak with some of the migrants that were
- 59:15Speaker 10: crossing over, and this was something that I've heard frequently
- 59:19Speaker 10: that if you had any issue, you'd reach out to
- 59:22Speaker 10: the government, but it's like once you cross the border
- 59:24Speaker 10: and you get into the United States, they don't care anymore.
- 59:26Speaker 10: I think that was more of a virtue signal to
- 59:28Speaker 10: make the nation believe that something was being done on
- 59:32Speaker 10: their behalf and their benefit. But I think once they
- 59:34Speaker 10: got inside, nobody really cared. It just became our problem
- 59:37Speaker 10: at the end of the day.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Yeah, And I don't know about you. I'm sure you
- 59:40Speaker 2: probably feel similar to me on this one. The conflation
- 59:44Speaker 2: by Democrats of illegal migrants and migrants, there is a difference.
- 59:51Speaker 2: There are so many millions of people in this country
- 59:53Speaker 2: who migrated here legally, and then you have illegal migrants.
- 59:57Speaker 2: There is a difference. It's like you inviting somebody into
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: your house for dinner or somebody burglarized at your house
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: in the middle of the night. Yes, they're both at
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: your house. One was invited in, one was not. What
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: is so hard to understand? Do they think we're all stupid?
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: And as the grandchild of migrants who came legally, I
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: am so highly offended when I hear that conflation, and
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: I'm sure many legal migrants.
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: Are, Yeah, including myself. I mean, both of my parents
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: immigrated here from Ghana legally nineteen eighty four. They also
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: brought fourteen other relatives into the country, each and every
- 1:00:30Speaker 10: one of them swearing as an American citizen, taking the
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: oath and doing it the right way. So when I
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: see when I see people on the left claiming that
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: no one is illegal and everyone is legal, and they
- 1:00:41Speaker 10: all have claims that it's a country, it's not just
- 1:00:43Speaker 10: a flap in the face to mine, But it's a
- 1:00:45Speaker 10: flap in the face and my parents and all those
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: who have spent the money, who've invested will pay their taxes,
- 1:00:49Speaker 10: who have done it the right way to happily become
- 1:00:52Speaker 10: an American citizen. And the fact that there's people that
- 1:00:55Speaker 10: want to hop the border or overstay their visas and
- 1:00:57Speaker 10: then take advantage of our nation, and we have a
- 1:00:59Speaker 10: party that's cpposed to be representing the American people representing
- 1:01:02Speaker 10: them on the other side, it's ridiculous and I think
- 1:01:05Speaker 10: it's pretty much treacherous.
- 1:01:07Speaker 11: It's treasonous. Man.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: You nailed at seven to ten wo r the Voice
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: of New York hen Risotto win from Mark on the
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Wednesday before Thanksgiving with Billy Prepp. But who, by the way,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: is an Air Force veteran running for Congress in New
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Jersey's ninth congressional district. So look at that. You were
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: the child of immigrants and you've became a member of
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: our military to be to show your pride in America.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: And it's funny my parents same situation. My grandparents came
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: from Italy. My father comes from a family of nine boys,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: and I believe eight of the nine, including my dad,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: we're all in the military. I mean, it's just it's
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: that pride of being American. But what's said is you
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: see too many people by the third, fourth, fifth generation,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: they sort of get so used to being American that
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: they lose the sense of how special it.
- 1:01:52Speaker 10: Is, absolutely and I don't want that to ever be lost.
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: I think that's something that America is starting to lose
- 1:02:00Speaker 10: because of that conflation between migrants and immigrants and illegals
- 1:02:04Speaker 10: and actual citizens. And I think a lot of that
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: is being done at person. It's done on purpose to
- 1:02:09Speaker 10: try and destroy the fabric of our nation. So it's
- 1:02:12Speaker 10: up to us to do what's right. I support ICE,
- 1:02:15Speaker 10: and I believe that all of our citizens should support ICE,
- 1:02:17Speaker 10: and we need to put America first above all, not
- 1:02:19Speaker 10: the means of others.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Now, I'd like to see if this bill makes it
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: through the Assembly and then gets to either the current
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: governor at Governor Murphy or Governor Mikey in January. Like
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: to see if it gets to their desks if they
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: sign it into law, would New Jersey State police arrest
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: US federal agents? And then what would happen, because the
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: federal relations could turn around and arrest in the New
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Jersey State Police for doing that, right, I mean, that's
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: interfering with the federal officer.
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: It's just about again in and I was watching not
- 1:02:47Speaker 10: too long ago that she was voting an idea to
- 1:02:49Speaker 10: not paid federal taxes to the federal government. So I
- 1:02:51Speaker 10: can only see the situation getting worse before it actually
- 1:02:54Speaker 10: gets good.
- 1:02:55Speaker 11: But who knows.
- 1:02:55Speaker 10: I mean, similar to how President Trump was able to
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: get mob Donnie to the table, and it seems like
- 1:03:00Speaker 10: they've been able to make some sense of what can
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: be done for the betterman of the people of New York.
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: I'm hoping that Mikey Cheryl is a talking rhetoric right
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: now and she actually realizes the responsibility that she has
- 1:03:10Speaker 10: and tries to do the right thing. I won't hold
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: my breath, but I really hope.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: So Hey, Billy, just the funny thing again, Democrat hypocrisy.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Here she her argument. Mikey Cheryl's argument was New Jersey
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: is paying more money to the federal government than it
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: gets back. Well, how about the same argument democrats use
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: with take the rich and make the rich pay more
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: taxes for what it's redistribution of wealth. Same thing with
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: the states. Sometimes New Jersey will be making more money
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: and having to pay more money to the federal government.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Sometimes it'll be on the recipient and it all depends.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: As New Jersey continues to lose population to southern states,
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: there will be a point when Florida will be paying
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: more income taxes than New Jersey to the federal government
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: and New Jersey will be on the recipient end. That's
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: the way it works. But I love how Democrats love
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: it when it's taxed the rich, but when it comes
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: to tax the rich, state, no, and then you can't
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: do that. Now we got to get more money back.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I'd like to see Mikey if she tries to do that,
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: she'll be hauled off in cuffs. That would be quite
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: interesting to see. But I'm not saying one way or
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: the other. Hey, Billy, tell us once again, tell us
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: your website how they can find out more about your campaign,
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: and if they want to make a domnation.
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: They can follow me on social media.
- 1:04:14Speaker 10: Just go to Billy premp ed b I L Y
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: P R E M P E H or Billy prempeed
- 1:04:19Speaker 10: dot com to visit my website, my policies. If you
- 1:04:21Speaker 10: had to volunteer, donate, get on board because we got
- 1:04:24Speaker 10: a big mission to do it. Twenty twenty six. Everyone
- 1:04:26Speaker 10: across the state of New Jersey look forward to supporting
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: you and representing you in Washington, DC come twenty twenty six.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Yeah, especially to counter the I see that the person
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: who may be running in Mikey Cheryl's old congressional seat
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: is a Bernie Sanders person. So somebody ultra ultra ultra left.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: So we need to counter that with a Billy Preppa
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: in congress. Air Force, Yes, Air Force veteran running for
