- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Jadge nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And Welcome Back to Scotti and Abbey Unfiltered Abbey, Welcome
- 0:08Speaker 2: back from Nantucket.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Who She's back? She is back?
- 0:12Speaker 3: Are you feeling refreshed?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Is this actually a vacation where you feel like, Ah,
- 0:16Speaker 2: I feel like I finally got a break.
- 0:17Speaker 4: I feel like it was I feel like in the
- 0:19Speaker 4: world of vacations, there's trips and then there's vacation. I
- 0:23Speaker 4: feel like this was somewhere in the middle. Like I
- 0:25Speaker 4: felt like it was a lot of trip and a
- 0:26Speaker 4: little bit of vacation. So I'm feeling I'm feeling pretty good.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I think at least you got to go on the
- 0:31Speaker 2: trip because this all happened, because you're supposed to originally
- 0:33Speaker 2: go to Charleston.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Yes, back in April, ip and that didn't happen.
- 0:37Speaker 2: But would you say Nantucket is a elevated Charleston.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Nantucket is a different Is Charleston in a different font?
- 0:48Speaker 4: I will say it's Nantucket and Charleston are very different
- 0:51Speaker 4: in the sense that it's very hard to get on Nantucket,
- 0:54Speaker 4: Like you have to fly into either Providence or Boston,
- 0:56Speaker 4: And I guess you could technically fly onto Nantucket it's
- 0:59Speaker 4: just I think more really expensive, Whereas we stayed on
- 1:03Speaker 4: the Cape and then we ferried in, so you're kind
- 1:06Speaker 4: of always on this schedule of like when is the
- 1:09Speaker 4: faery you gotta get on the ferry and then what
- 1:11Speaker 4: time does your fairy leave at night?
- 1:13Speaker 1: So you're sort of.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Always on this running clock. But Nantucket itself is beautiful, historic,
- 1:19Speaker 4: very quaint. It is very It feels like a small town,
- 1:23Speaker 4: a small beach town, but it's where some of the
- 1:26Speaker 4: richest people in the world live.
- 1:27Speaker 2: See. I loved looking at the pictures in the videos
- 1:29Speaker 2: because when I look at towns like that, it reminds
- 1:32Speaker 2: me of And you weren't the biggest fan of the show,
- 1:33Speaker 2: but I liked it. This summer I turned pretty Oh yeah,
- 1:36Speaker 2: it kind of looked like that.
- 1:37Speaker 3: It looked like it in your picture.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I think summer I turned pretty based off maybe not Nantucket,
- 1:41Speaker 4: but like the Cape Cod the Hampton's that whole vibe,
- 1:45Speaker 4: even though it was filmed I think in Wilmington, North Carolina.
- 1:47Speaker 4: But yes, it's very much that vibe, like New England, quaint,
- 1:50Speaker 4: cutc that kind of thing.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:52Speaker 2: So when you were there, what is the highlight of
- 1:55Speaker 2: Nantucket because I make the joke, but I really didn't
- 1:58Speaker 2: think Nantucket was real before where you went on this trip,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I was like, it just sounds like a made up
- 2:02Speaker 2: It sounds like a clothing brand.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It really does.
- 2:04Speaker 4: It sounds like a faraway place that somebody made up
- 2:07Speaker 4: in like a Tom Sawyer novel exactly.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 2: What is the whole appeal of it though? Like, was
- 2:12Speaker 2: it like the food that you got to experience? Was
- 2:14Speaker 2: it the drinks? I know you and our boss always
- 2:16Speaker 2: make the joke about the hydrangs.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Yes, the hydrange I was very excited to see a hydrangea.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I was actually shocked at the lack of hydrangeas. Really,
- 2:23Speaker 4: I kept saying that the two things I cared about
- 2:26Speaker 4: most were the hydrangas and the lobsterle, and both kind
- 2:31Speaker 4: of let me down.
- 2:32Speaker 2: See, I think, do you think it's because the expectation
- 2:36Speaker 2: was so high that is just it almost as impossible
- 2:38Speaker 2: to hit.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Maybe? I think so.
- 2:41Speaker 4: My two things were again, the lobsterle and the hydrangeas.
- 2:44Speaker 4: When we got to Cape Cod like we were in
- 2:47Speaker 4: Hyenas Hyena's Port, which is where like the Kennedy Compound
- 2:50Speaker 4: is just for context like that, it's very very quick,
- 2:53Speaker 4: essential New England. And I'm walking around like there's not
- 2:55Speaker 4: a lot of hydrangs around and of the ones that
- 2:58Speaker 4: we saw, they looked like they were starting to die.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And so I don't know if we just.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Missed like peak season, but while we were there, it
- 3:05Speaker 4: was literally the high range of festival. So in my head,
- 3:08Speaker 4: I'm like, there is no better time to see a
- 3:10Speaker 4: hydranger than the high drange of festival. Like, call me crazy,
- 3:13Speaker 4: but I thought I picked like the best dates and
- 3:17Speaker 4: I really didn't see that many. The most that I
- 3:19Speaker 4: saw where when we went to this resort that I
- 3:21Speaker 4: had been dying to go to.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And I will say this.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Is the one thing that didn't disappoint me. The weather
- 3:26Speaker 4: disappointing me, but the actual place didn't disappoint me. Was
- 3:30Speaker 4: I've been wanting to go to this resort called Chatham
- 3:32Speaker 4: Bars In It's in Chatham, Massachusetts on the cape, and
- 3:36Speaker 4: it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
- 3:39Speaker 2: What is it okay? Cause I got to see pictures
- 3:41Speaker 2: of this place. If it's that good? Because you talked
- 3:42Speaker 2: about the other place was like, if we're going down
- 3:46Speaker 2: resorts that you'd say are like top of the line,
- 3:48Speaker 2: because I really do like Abby has such great taste
- 3:50Speaker 2: when it comes to like restaurants, places to day, where
- 3:52Speaker 2: to go.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm the Samantha Brown and my Friend group. If
- 3:54Speaker 4: you know who Samantha Brown is, you.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Know what's the place that was in like Palm Beach
- 3:58Speaker 3: that you were like.
- 3:59Speaker 4: The Breaker, that's a huge I don't know that I
- 4:01Speaker 4: would put Chatham Bars in quite in the same because
- 4:04Speaker 4: the Breakers is like is regal, like exceptionally regal. It
- 4:09Speaker 4: was built I believe by Henry Flagler, and you know
- 4:12Speaker 4: he's like a historic historic figure. He also I don't
- 4:16Speaker 4: know if he's also in charge of or built the
- 4:18Speaker 4: Breakers in Newport. But like if you've ever googled the
- 4:20Speaker 4: Breakers in Newport, like that's an insane, insane property. It's
- 4:24Speaker 4: not a hotel. I think it's like a Gilded Age mansion.
- 4:27Speaker 4: But yeah, I would put Chatham Bars in. I would
- 4:30Speaker 4: put the Breakers as like insane historic, Yeah, insane historic, iconic.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I stayed there.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I don't know if I would necessarily say it's like
- 4:38Speaker 4: the best hotel I've ever stayed at, But in terms
- 4:39Speaker 4: of like prestige, the Breakers is like very fancy Chatham
- 4:44Speaker 4: Bars in is probably up there in price range, maybe
- 4:48Speaker 4: not quite as bougie as the Breakers, but it's very
- 4:52Speaker 4: like old money, you know, New England, and everybody is
- 4:56Speaker 4: dressed exactly as you would think they were dressed they
- 5:00Speaker 4: would be dressed. It's a lot of like sun dresses,
- 5:02Speaker 4: and people really do wear the sweaters over their shoulders.
- 5:05Speaker 4: And I was as we were walking around, I was thinking,
- 5:08Speaker 4: I'm like, are we all just cosplaying what we think
- 5:11Speaker 4: we should be wearing or is this genuinely how the
- 5:13Speaker 4: people here dress? Because I'm walking around and we all
- 5:16Speaker 4: kind of look like caricatures of people I would I'm like,
- 5:19Speaker 4: the White Lotus needs to be filmed here.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Like that was the vibe. It's very waspy.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Everyone's wearing their their sweaters and there you know, their
- 5:26Speaker 4: tennis outfits, and it's it's giving Old money for sure.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Looked absolutely beautiful and it is nice to like. I
- 5:32Speaker 2: don't know, and I think of places like that. I
- 5:34Speaker 2: think of a slowed lifestyle where you sit there either
- 5:38Speaker 2: have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You sit on a beautiful porch with like white pillars
- 5:43Speaker 2: and it's like you're in a rock and chair.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, and you look out at the bay. That sounds
- 5:48Speaker 3: like heaven.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 4: So, if you haven't seen the photos on my Instagram,
- 5:51Speaker 4: chattambars In is and you can google it on your
- 5:53Speaker 4: Instagram as well. It is a historic hotel. It's very
- 5:58Speaker 4: it's a lot of dark wood. It's built in the
- 6:01Speaker 4: Cape Cod style with the gray shingles, and it sits
- 6:04Speaker 4: on top of this really big hill that overlooks the ocean.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And there's two parts of the property.
- 6:09Speaker 4: So there's the inn and then there's a road right
- 6:11Speaker 4: in front of it, and then there's a bunch of
- 6:13Speaker 4: like their beachfront restaurants. We got a really great seat
- 6:16Speaker 4: at their beachfront restaurant, which was so cute and picturesque,
- 6:18Speaker 4: and we had lunch out there. And then they also
- 6:20Speaker 4: have a spa that's in like a separate part of
- 6:23Speaker 4: the property.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You have to go walk down some roads.
- 6:25Speaker 4: But as you're walking down the roads you see all
- 6:28Speaker 4: of their I don't know if they have cottages or
- 6:30Speaker 4: like houses that you can rent, but they're part of
- 6:31Speaker 4: the property and they're just the most beautiful, picturesque again,
- 6:35Speaker 4: gray shingled Cape Cod style houses with big lush hydrangas
- 6:41Speaker 4: lining the sidewalks and pink and purple flowers that look
- 6:46Speaker 4: so beautiful because the buildings are so gray and bland
- 6:50Speaker 4: that it really highlights how everything.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Just feels like you're in this garden.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Like my favorite part of the property, which I was
- 6:57Speaker 4: really bummed out about. This is like the one thing
- 6:58Speaker 4: I wanted to do while we were there, was they
- 7:00Speaker 4: have this beautiful patio and these adironduck chairs that just
- 7:03Speaker 4: overlook the ocean. Yeh. And it poured down rain by
- 7:07Speaker 4: the time we were ready for cocktail hour.
- 7:09Speaker 1: But literally, you.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Walk in and you walk under this beautiful white trellis,
- 7:13Speaker 4: and you go onto this patio that has a big
- 7:15Speaker 4: gazebo bar and all these beautiful fire pits and wicker
- 7:18Speaker 4: chairs and string lights, and I'm literally like, this is
- 7:21Speaker 4: the garden of my dreams. Yeah, I just want to
- 7:24Speaker 4: sit here and hang out with everybody.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But once we were.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Done with our spot treatments, it started pouring, which was
- 7:29Speaker 4: so sad ash.
- 7:30Speaker 3: It's like, you know, you can't have it all, but
- 7:33Speaker 3: you got close, we.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Got closed and listen. I think I convinced my family
- 7:36Speaker 4: to go back because this is where I actually wanted
- 7:39Speaker 4: to stay. I was like, all I want to do
- 7:40Speaker 4: for my birthdays, go stay at Chattambar's in for a
- 7:42Speaker 4: couple of days. But it's really expensive. So my mom
- 7:44Speaker 4: was like, no, so understandable. Which you know, we got
- 7:47Speaker 4: to see more of Nantucket because we didn't stay there.
- 7:50Speaker 4: But when we showed up, everyone was like, oh my god,
- 7:52Speaker 4: this is breathtaking.
- 7:54Speaker 1: And I was like, I know. I told you, guys, do.
- 7:57Speaker 2: You find these places on Instagra? Like how do you
- 7:59Speaker 2: find these? Because again I have no idea.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I follow this girl.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Who's from the Northeast and she and her family like
- 8:05Speaker 4: bowed around the Northeast during the summer, and she said
- 8:08Speaker 4: that she liked having drinks on the patio there, and
- 8:11Speaker 4: I was like, that's the most beautiful place I've ever seen.
- 8:13Speaker 4: And so I've been following this resort on Instagram for
- 8:16Speaker 4: like three or four years, and every single summer I say,
- 8:19Speaker 4: I want to go to Chatdam bars N.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I want to go to Chadden bars In.
- 8:21Speaker 4: And you know it's expensive, so we're not just like
- 8:23Speaker 4: flying up to Chatham to go. And I got close
- 8:26Speaker 4: last summer because my brother needed my help planning his proposal,
- 8:31Speaker 4: and so because he had no idea, I was like well,
- 8:33Speaker 4: I really think Kylie's now wife would love like a
- 8:36Speaker 4: New England Nantuckety type summer. You could propose her at
- 8:40Speaker 4: Chatdam Barzenn on the beach or they have a bunch
- 8:42Speaker 4: of beautiful rooms. They planned the proposal for you, and
- 8:45Speaker 4: so we were making plans to do that, and then
- 8:48Speaker 4: I think, for whatever reason, my brother was like, no,
- 8:50Speaker 4: let's just do it in Tampa Ah.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You're so close, so close, And.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I was going to let another summer go by and
- 8:56Speaker 4: not go to New England or Chatham or whatever. And
- 8:58Speaker 4: then you know, this happy accident, and I guess happened,
- 9:01Speaker 4: and I finally, well, I don't know if i'd call
- 9:03Speaker 4: it happy concerning my grandma almost died and that's the
- 9:07Speaker 4: reason we had to reschedule this trip.
- 9:09Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm excited. I think we might go back
- 9:11Speaker 1: next year.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I think I'm I'm for sure going back to Nantucket
- 9:14Speaker 4: next year. I'm actually looking at like verbos and Airbnbs.
- 9:17Speaker 4: I'm like, I want to host another girls trip, but
- 9:20Speaker 4: the hotels are really expensive. But I'm looking at like
- 9:23Speaker 4: sharehouses on Nantucket. I'm like, I think girls would want
- 9:26Speaker 4: to go in on a house for like a week.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I think that would be fun.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Especially if you get that kind of scenery. Yeah, And
- 9:31Speaker 2: what I always say is like, yes, it's expensive, but
- 9:33Speaker 2: as long as you and I do this to my
- 9:35Speaker 2: friends all the time, like if we put it a
- 9:36Speaker 2: year or a year and a half out and you're
- 9:38Speaker 2: just putting a little bit toward it everything, we feel.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah, like it doesn't feel like this whole.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Entire daunting trip.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, where you're like, oh my god, Scott, I can't
- 9:46Speaker 2: go on that cause it's so and so many thousands
- 9:49Speaker 2: of dollars.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, yeah, I get that.
- 9:51Speaker 2: But if we're looking at twenty twenty seven, twenty twenty eight,
- 9:54Speaker 2: just you know, put a little money aside here and there,
- 9:57Speaker 2: and let's make that dream trip happen.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I know, I have so many trips that I like
- 10:00Speaker 4: have in my mind and I want to plan, and
- 10:01Speaker 4: I think Nantucket makes the most sense. I think it'd
- 10:04Speaker 4: be really fun to do like a work and stay
- 10:06Speaker 4: trip with a bunch of girls. Like again, like we
- 10:08Speaker 4: all just get a big hotel block in London and
- 10:10Speaker 4: you just you don't have to take time off work,
- 10:12Speaker 4: just work from from your hotel in London, and like
- 10:14Speaker 4: maybe we like go on tours in the morning, you
- 10:16Speaker 4: work in the afternoon.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I don't know, I thinking about the time difference actually
- 10:19Speaker 2: works in your favor. Oh that is so cool though,
- 10:21Speaker 2: because I think the trip it just shows us and
- 10:23Speaker 2: I love that we get to see the comments when
- 10:24Speaker 2: you listen to this. And one of the things that
- 10:27Speaker 2: we were joking about was my trip to Key West
- 10:28Speaker 2: that I have coming up, and Aby, You're like, this
- 10:31Speaker 2: is you don't stand out a cat ran Oh.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah, see, we're on very opposite I'm like, let's spend
- 10:36Speaker 4: one thousand dollars a night at Chatham and You're like,
- 10:38Speaker 4: let's spend one thousand dollars for a week on a
- 10:40Speaker 4: catamaran where everyone has ibs and sea lyac disease.
- 10:44Speaker 1: We're all squeezing into like a two why two bathroom
- 10:46Speaker 1: and there's one bathroom and no air conditioning.
- 10:48Speaker 2: But I did get a message from one of our
- 10:50Speaker 2: incredible listeners that was like, send me that boat.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I want to get on it. You're kiddy, I swear
- 10:55Speaker 3: to you. I have the message. And I was like, oh,
- 10:57Speaker 3: how cool.
- 10:58Speaker 1: You guys are so adventurous. I love it's so adventurous.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I and that think that's the appeal is. It's different.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It's and when we get to talk about these things,
- 11:06Speaker 2: it's like, oh, I would have not. I don't think
- 11:08Speaker 2: I knew about Nantucket before we talked about it.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Uh huh, awesome.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Let me put it on my list for twenty twenty eight. Okay,
- 11:13Speaker 3: not next year.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I ain't got that.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna put it way off. But it is
- 11:17Speaker 3: cool to see.
- 11:18Speaker 2: And the last podcast we talked about who would potentially
- 11:23Speaker 2: be on the island because Nantucket is prestigious. Yeah, and
- 11:27Speaker 2: celebrities love either to the vacation there or they live there.
- 11:31Speaker 4: It's like the New England elite. That's where they go Nantucket,
- 11:34Speaker 4: Nantucket and then the Hampton's. I think it's more the
- 11:36Speaker 4: New Yorkers. So let's talk about if it actually came true.
- 11:39Speaker 2: And I feel I thought about this over the weekend
- 11:41Speaker 2: because I thought maybe I jinxed it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Maybe in the last podcast I jinxed.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I'm telling you, we talked about it so much that
- 11:48Speaker 4: I knew we jinxed it.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Well, now it's over, so we might as well talk
- 11:51Speaker 3: about it. I know.
- 11:51Speaker 4: So I really thought I was going to meet Carl
- 11:53Speaker 4: and Aya from Love Island. So Love Island literally finished
- 11:57Speaker 4: last weekend, and then this weekend when I was going
- 12:00Speaker 4: to Nantucket, I was like, well, he's got to go home.
- 12:03Speaker 4: And I know he was talking about going to Nantucket
- 12:05Speaker 4: with an Ie. I'm like, why would they not go
- 12:07Speaker 4: immediately after Fiji?
- 12:09Speaker 1: And he didn't. He wasn't even on Nantucket. He was
- 12:11Speaker 1: in Denver. That's I was so annoyed. They weren't even together.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Carl and I weren't even together. I was like, what
- 12:17Speaker 1: are you guys doing?
- 12:17Speaker 2: But isn't she from God. I didn't know that much
- 12:20Speaker 2: about the show, but I thought she was from Denver.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I thought I remember them talking about how they'd have
- 12:23Speaker 2: a little bit of distance between them.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I think Carl lives in Denver full time, but summer's
- 12:29Speaker 4: on Nantucket.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Like that's what I mean. He's one of those family I.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Want to be able to say I summer somewhere, so
- 12:33Speaker 4: technically I summer on Nantucket. She summred for a weekend
- 12:36Speaker 4: on Nantucket counts, which, by the way, some of the
- 12:39Speaker 4: conversations I had with Oh my God, like we we
- 12:42Speaker 4: ran into this group of I mean picture like gossip Girl.
- 12:46Speaker 4: It's like this girl guy friend group, and they were
- 12:49Speaker 4: all on Molly oh and which.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I found out and I'll tell you why. And literally
- 12:54Speaker 1: one of.
- 12:54Speaker 4: The girls was like, so, you guys summer here and
- 12:58Speaker 4: I was like, well, yeah, we're like visiting and she goes, oh,
- 13:00Speaker 4: you're just like renting a place, and I like she
- 13:02Speaker 4: kept like she couldn't fathom that I was just here
- 13:04Speaker 4: visiting that I at one point I was just like, yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 4: we're renting.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Place, Like, I guess what's the problem there.
- 13:09Speaker 3: She's like, you know, I actually belong.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Yeah, But I'm like looking around and I'm like having
- 13:12Speaker 4: conversations with all these like gossip Girl people and they're like, yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 4: we've had a house here since the seventies. I'm like
- 13:16Speaker 4: tear God, Like, good lord, it is the oldest of
- 13:20Speaker 4: the old money.
- 13:20Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I don't even know what that lifestyle is like where
- 13:23Speaker 2: it's just I don't think that kind of like they
- 13:26Speaker 2: don't comprehend what it actually feels like, like you can't
- 13:30Speaker 2: appreciate it at that point.
- 13:31Speaker 3: And I don't know.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I mean, we have plenty of vast listeners here on
- 13:34Speaker 2: the podcast, so maybe you do come from old money.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Maybe you're listening like I do understand.
- 13:38Speaker 2: I just don't know if you would appreciate it anymore, if.
- 13:42Speaker 4: You summer on Nantucket or summer, if you summer anywhere
- 13:45Speaker 4: and you're listening to us, thank you.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly donate to the podcast fund.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, don't you pay her salaries. But it's like, where
- 13:53Speaker 1: do you go?
- 13:53Speaker 2: That is then special to you if you are summering
- 13:56Speaker 2: and you have been your entire life on Nantucket, Yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 2: where do you go?
- 13:59Speaker 3: That's like, oh my god.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Well I think they also euro Summer. Some people Eurosummer.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That's how I'm trying to be.
- 14:05Speaker 4: That's the step up from Nantucket. Like the people that
- 14:07Speaker 4: euro Summer they look down on the people are like, oh,
- 14:09Speaker 4: you're second.
- 14:10Speaker 3: You're just staying in your country.
- 14:11Speaker 1: You're just staying on Nantucket for the summer.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Oh crazy, gross. Okay, so you didn't see Carl.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I did not see Carl very upseicks. I know I
- 14:18Speaker 4: did see on my Instagram though, man's he looks good.
- 14:20Speaker 3: That looks good.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I hope he's still I want that. I think they
- 14:23Speaker 2: are still together, okay, because I want him to actually
- 14:25Speaker 2: work out. Like a lot of I don't know why
- 14:26Speaker 2: I'm invested in their love, but I'm like I hope
- 14:28Speaker 2: it's real because it's fun to watch, and it's also
- 14:31Speaker 2: nice to get invested and think that it actually is
- 14:33Speaker 2: gonna pay off.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Very fun to get invested.
- 14:35Speaker 2: So no, Carl, I jinxed that one. I'm gonna go
- 14:37Speaker 2: ahead and rip that's on me, Scott negative one. My bad,
- 14:41Speaker 2: My bad, But you're out there anyway. Was there any
- 14:44Speaker 2: like spotted in the wild? Influencer in the wild, celebrity
- 14:47Speaker 2: in the wild.
- 14:47Speaker 4: The only person I saw with my two eyes was
- 14:50Speaker 4: and this is very niche Nantucket TikTok celeb stuff is
- 14:55Speaker 4: there's an influencer that I follow. Her name is Halle Batchelder.
- 14:59Speaker 4: She he is in a family. Think of them like
- 15:03Speaker 4: the Kardashians on Nantucket. They are this very rich family.
- 15:08Speaker 4: The sons are very handsome but chaotic, definitely have a
- 15:11Speaker 4: drug problem for sure. She's a podcaster on Alex Cooper's
- 15:14Speaker 4: network and they summer on Nantucket. And my cousin and
- 15:17Speaker 4: I we are both like huge fans. We like love
- 15:20Speaker 4: watching them. They're so funny to us and literally our
- 15:23Speaker 4: first day getting on the ferry on Nantucket, my cousin
- 15:26Speaker 4: goes abby. I think that's the batch elder Dad like
- 15:28Speaker 4: that there's no way. There's literally no way. Our first
- 15:31Speaker 4: Dan Nantucket, we're seeing somebody that we know, and I
- 15:33Speaker 4: turn around. I'm like, oh my god, that's the batcholder's dad.
- 15:36Speaker 4: That's the guy that is funding all of their lifestyles.
- 15:38Speaker 3: That's the guy with the actual money.
- 15:40Speaker 4: That's him.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I'm like, we need to co comptives.
- 15:41Speaker 4: We can go hang out with them, but we had
- 15:43Speaker 4: seen that the whole the younger, the younger ones like
- 15:45Speaker 4: Hallie and Sam and like her siblings and stuff, they
- 15:48Speaker 4: weren't on the island, and so I'm like, what are
- 15:49Speaker 4: we gonna do?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Say hi to him and then like not see his family,
- 15:52Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 15:52Speaker 3: Like, yeah, that would have been cool to at least
- 15:54Speaker 3: say hi.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It would have been fun. But it was cool to
- 15:56Speaker 1: see him. I was like, there's no way, and it
- 15:57Speaker 1: was him.
- 15:58Speaker 2: That is wild because it's like it's almost like an allue,
- 16:00Speaker 2: Like wait a second, you're real. Yeah, that's how Instagram
- 16:03Speaker 2: feels with some of these people. Like and I swear
- 16:04Speaker 2: I saw somebody that I follow. He's a local influencer
- 16:08Speaker 2: in Tampa, but I was at the rodeo very different
- 16:11Speaker 2: that guy, what's his name?
- 16:12Speaker 3: It's like Jake Ruth, Jake Roth.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Jake Roth.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, the guy from Stride Social Correct.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, And I swear I was at the
- 16:19Speaker 2: Tampa Rodeo and I'm like, wait a second, that dude
- 16:22Speaker 2: looks really familiar.
- 16:23Speaker 3: It looks like that guy. And I was like, did
- 16:25Speaker 3: he have a shirt on?
- 16:25Speaker 2: Now? He had a shirt like it was a tank
- 16:28Speaker 2: top with his sleeves cut out like he normally does. Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 2: and he had some good hair like he has, and
- 16:32Speaker 2: he had some like weird sunglasses that he normally wears.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And I was like, what a.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Weird place, the rodeo.
- 16:37Speaker 4: You're just funny to see people out in public like
- 16:39Speaker 4: I've seen feel like, I've seen a couple of influencers
- 16:41Speaker 4: out on Water Street and I'm like, oh my god,
- 16:42Speaker 4: they're real.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you're like, oh my god, that's high.
- 16:45Speaker 2: But it just the influencer world is weird because you're like,
- 16:48Speaker 2: you're Internet famous, but you're not really famous, and you're
- 16:52Speaker 2: kind of just a normal humor like me. Like that's
- 16:53Speaker 2: what I always get the impression of when I see
- 16:55Speaker 2: him out in the wild. I'm like, oh, we're literally
- 16:57Speaker 2: doing the same thing. Like if I saw Tom Brady. Oh,
- 17:00Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, like, here's the greatest athlete ever.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Like I would keeck out because I'm like, wow, you're
- 17:04Speaker 2: like youre's something that I cannot be Now.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Other influences are like, oh, you have a camera like
- 17:08Speaker 3: I do.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're just one of us, one of us
- 17:11Speaker 1: on one of us. So that's kind of cool.
- 17:13Speaker 2: At least you got to see someone that you wouldn't
- 17:15Speaker 2: have seen elsewhere.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 4: The air quality was also horrible in the Northeast this
- 17:18Speaker 4: weekend because there were wildfires in Canada, so I think
- 17:21Speaker 4: a lot of people were staying inside. We had like
- 17:23Speaker 4: one decent day. I was at the airport at the
- 17:26Speaker 4: same time as Taylor Swift, which was huge. I was
- 17:28Speaker 4: literally leaving the Rhode Island airport as she was flying in,
- 17:32Speaker 4: and I was like, are you kidding me?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Like I could could have gotten so close to just
- 17:35Speaker 1: seeing her with my own eyes.
- 17:36Speaker 2: So if you were just delayed by like fifteen minutes,
- 17:39Speaker 2: do you think you would have been able to look
- 17:40Speaker 2: out the window and see her on the tarmact?
- 17:41Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 17:42Speaker 4: I was never going to see this woman, But it
- 17:44Speaker 4: was cool that we were in the same area for
- 17:45Speaker 4: like five minutes.
- 17:46Speaker 2: It's like the odds, I mean very low, but it
- 17:49Speaker 2: happened and never zero.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It's just crazy though you can be because I was
- 17:52Speaker 1: on Nantucket.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I'm sure there was somebody famous on Nantucket, but you
- 17:55Speaker 4: have no idea, Like you're in such proximity to great wealth,
- 17:59Speaker 4: great fame, but if.
- 18:00Speaker 1: You're not paying attention, you're not paying attention. See.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Those are cool circles to be around, though, because I
- 18:04Speaker 2: feel like that's where you heard like I don't know,
- 18:06Speaker 2: like come secret conversations like how did you get so wealthy?
- 18:09Speaker 2: What are you involved in? What you yeah, like what
- 18:11Speaker 2: kind of illegal activities are you doing? That?
- 18:13Speaker 3: Like you can't be traced by.
- 18:14Speaker 1: It's a stock market. It's always the stock market.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but those are the people that like no more
- 18:19Speaker 2: than like the common thought knows like those are the
- 18:22Speaker 2: conversations I know, Like my chat GBT does not understand
- 18:24Speaker 2: stocks no matter how much I talk to it.
- 18:26Speaker 3: It doesn't have that infro that could get me on Nantucket.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I know.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I think there's a website where you can sign up
- 18:31Speaker 4: to just like put stock in, what like Nancy Pelosi
- 18:33Speaker 4: puts stock in.
- 18:34Speaker 1: That's what you have to do is to follow your
- 18:36Speaker 1: local politician.
- 18:37Speaker 3: That's right.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you don't need a wealth advisor, just
- 18:40Speaker 4: like what is I don't know what's Pelosi doing?
- 18:42Speaker 1: What's uh, I don't know what's Obama doing. That's true.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, if they're putting their money in and
- 18:47Speaker 2: they're so high up on what they know in the world, chances.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Are it'll probably pay off.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, our lives are very different at because that's what
- 18:54Speaker 2: Like on Friday, I was over at the rodeo. I've
- 18:56Speaker 2: never really gone to a rodeo before and it was
- 18:59Speaker 2: the weirdest but coolest experience.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So while I was in New England, you were at
- 19:03Speaker 1: the rodeo.
- 19:04Speaker 2: While you were having a lobster role I was eating
- 19:06Speaker 2: a turkey l like, Okay, very different lifestyles. But we
- 19:09Speaker 2: got there and all of a sudden, like the first
- 19:11Speaker 2: thing I see is they walk out with these big
- 19:13Speaker 2: ass water buffalo. Like you think of a rodeo when
- 19:16Speaker 2: you think of horse, Yeah, you think of a rodeo
- 19:18Speaker 2: and you think of bowl.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I see, Why is the water buffalo out of the water.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I don't know, but it was one of those things.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I was like, Oh, this is so dope.
- 19:27Speaker 2: They come riding and they literally are standing on top
- 19:29Speaker 2: of water buffalo is like doing flips off of them.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I'm gonna grab myself a seat.
- 19:33Speaker 1: This is sick.
- 19:34Speaker 3: But I didn't realize how intense the rodeo gets.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It do be intense. I mean it's literally wild animals.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It literally is a guy on a horse chasing down
- 19:45Speaker 2: a freaking cattle, throwing a rope around the cattle, and
- 19:48Speaker 2: then just like what do they call that, I don't know,
- 19:50Speaker 2: hog tying, yeah, and seeing how fast they could do it.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I was watching these guys with my jaw on the floor.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I'm like, that dude, not only God on his horse,
- 19:57Speaker 2: wrote it down the dang thing, caught a cow, tied
- 20:00Speaker 2: it up in less than fifteen seconds.
- 20:03Speaker 1: It's very impressive what they do.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I was blown away.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And then on top of it, I saw people actually
- 20:07Speaker 2: bull ride for the first time, which first off terrifying.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Horrifye.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Unless it's at a bar and there's a mattress round,
- 20:15Speaker 4: I'm not getting on that. Yeah, I was actually did
- 20:17Speaker 4: I ever tell you I'm really good at mechanical bull riding?
- 20:20Speaker 4: Like it's my secret talent. I'm an incredible mechanical bull rider.
- 20:24Speaker 2: That's such an interesting comment to make. There's gonna be
- 20:29Speaker 2: a place and a time.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Oh, there will be. There's videos, there's there's video evidence.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Have you done like that? Oh God?
- 20:34Speaker 2: This tangent mechanical bull riding seems to me like the
- 20:41Speaker 2: pervious thing at the bar.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why they're there, I know.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And I don't think it's because of us watching. I
- 20:46Speaker 2: don't think that's the perfey part. I think it's the
- 20:48Speaker 2: mechanical rider. So that's where I'm wondering. I'm like, where
- 20:51Speaker 2: did you mechanical bull ride at? Oh?
- 20:53Speaker 1: I don't do it in like a slutty way. It's
- 20:54Speaker 1: actually kind of like, I love you actually get real like,
- 20:57Speaker 1: I'm very.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Particular about my technique. Like because the technique and there's
- 21:02Speaker 4: really no secret to it.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You can google. This is when the bull goes forward,
- 21:05Speaker 1: you've got to go back.
- 21:07Speaker 4: So I'm just very aggressive with when the bull goes forward,
- 21:10Speaker 4: I'm way back.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yes? I do. I do.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm actually impressed.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I would not you know, this is not I don't know,
- 21:18Speaker 2: take it as you want it. I just would not
- 21:20Speaker 2: have thought of you saying that you're extremely good at
- 21:22Speaker 2: bull riding.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Well, I mean, yeah, the thing is if you look
- 21:24Speaker 4: sexy while you're doing it, you're probably you're.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Probably gonna fly off.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're trying to be up there all la
- 21:29Speaker 2: la la, Yeah, you're not gonna last more than four seconds.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Well, I'm up there in my sweats and my sweatshirt
- 21:35Speaker 4: and I'm like, I'm just.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Here to show up everybody.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I'm here to win, and there's nothing to win.
- 21:39Speaker 1: There's nothing to win. I'm just very competitive.
- 21:42Speaker 2: But we had a blast actually seeing real bull riders,
- 21:44Speaker 2: like get out there and these massive animals. But we
- 21:47Speaker 2: were kind of disimpressed with, like unimpressed with. It was
- 21:51Speaker 2: like a second they would be on the bull, It's like,
- 21:53Speaker 2: here we go. We got Johnny he's been bull riding
- 21:55Speaker 2: since he.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Was three, and it's like thing and it's eight seconds
- 21:59Speaker 4: of your life.
- 22:00Speaker 2: But not even that, it was like one second. I
- 22:02Speaker 2: was like the falls bull runs off.
- 22:05Speaker 4: It makes you wonder how this even became a competition
- 22:07Speaker 4: because it is so quick where it's like, of course
- 22:09Speaker 4: men are impressed by the fact that they can last
- 22:10Speaker 4: for eight seconds, and then they've made a whole sport
- 22:12Speaker 4: out of it.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Meanwhile, I'm on the mechanical bowl, like twenty five seconds in.
- 22:18Speaker 4: No, I'm like three minutes in God, dang Abby, I'm
- 22:21Speaker 4: really I think I.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Did like two minutes last sumer No two minutes.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Everyone around you is like actually booing now because they're like,
- 22:28Speaker 2: that's okay. Well, you know what, in one of these days,
- 22:31Speaker 2: maybe that should be on one of your stops for
- 22:33Speaker 2: the Girls get Away.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You should swing by with it.
- 22:36Speaker 4: There was a mechanical bowl in Colombia, of all places,
- 22:38Speaker 4: and somebody tried to get me on one, but I
- 22:40Speaker 4: think I was like, I was like really drunk.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I was like, I don't want to go on the
- 22:43Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I can't live up to the name.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I can't live up to the name here in Colombia.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Also two minutes.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I feel like somebody here grew up on a farm
- 22:50Speaker 4: and they're going to show me up and I can't
- 22:51Speaker 4: be I can't be booed in Colombia.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah, not in Columbia, not in a foreign country, but
- 22:55Speaker 2: down the street in Saint.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Pete, downstreet and sat one night stand on a mechanical bowl.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Get me on the mechanical boom show everybody there it is.
- 23:01Speaker 3: They have a whole group of girls that are gonna
- 23:02Speaker 3: be cheering.
- 23:03Speaker 4: You on the trumpet getaway kicks off in exactly one month.
- 23:07Speaker 2: That's super fun. Hell, I have it marked on the calendar.
- 23:10Speaker 2: We'll be out there with you.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Oh, you will be.
- 23:11Speaker 3: We'll be out there supporting, will be. Oh, I know
- 23:14Speaker 3: we had to finally a cheer chill weekend.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And I'm just I'm realizing in the relationship that I
- 23:19Speaker 2: got to share and we've talked about here, I think
- 23:21Speaker 2: the relationship's making me soft emotionally.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Oh you're You're softer. I could be a hard shelled man.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Okay, yes, sometimes I felt like I could. But I
- 23:34Speaker 2: feel like I've cried more in the past couple of
- 23:37Speaker 2: months than I haven't like a couple of years.
- 23:40Speaker 4: You've like crying with your girlfriend. Yes, about what we see.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I can't go into all the details with that, but
- 23:47Speaker 2: one of the things is, like, have you seen that
- 23:49Speaker 2: movie on Netflix voicemails for Isabelle.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Yes, Oh my god, I was sobbing in the first
- 23:53Speaker 4: ten minutes, sobby, it's so sad.
- 23:57Speaker 1: What's so beautiful?
- 23:58Speaker 2: Like I didn't even I kind of got emotional at
- 24:02Speaker 2: the sad parts in the beginning.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was the.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Part where she was diagnosed with cancer.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Yes, that part that got me choked up. But then
- 24:12Speaker 2: at the end, I was like, oh my god, like
- 24:16Speaker 2: we're both sitting there watching the show and uncontrollably sobbing
- 24:20Speaker 2: watching this love story. But then I caught myself and
- 24:23Speaker 2: I was like, holy shit, like I have now a
- 24:25Speaker 2: pattern of doing this with my girlfriend. Because on our
- 24:28Speaker 2: flight back from Denver, we watched Wuthering Heights.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Oh my god, did that make you cry?
- 24:34Speaker 2: Not only did it make me cry, it made my
- 24:35Speaker 2: girlfriend uncontrollably cry.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Really, yes, it's like the most toxic relationship. I was
- 24:40Speaker 4: thrilled when they were broken, Oh my god.
- 24:42Speaker 2: But the love that they had for each other, especially
- 24:45Speaker 2: at the end because I went to see that movie
- 24:48Speaker 2: the day that I met my girlfriend. Yeah, I left
- 24:51Speaker 2: halfway through the movie because I needed to go get
- 24:53Speaker 2: on the date, so I never finished it. So I
- 24:56Speaker 2: was like, oh, we're on the plane, we got some time,
- 24:57Speaker 2: let's put it on. They that it was going to
- 25:01Speaker 2: end the way it did, And so spoiler alert, if
- 25:04Speaker 2: you haven't seen with Her in Heights, good time to
- 25:07Speaker 2: skip forward.
- 25:08Speaker 1: But when you see in the movie.
- 25:10Speaker 2: That he literally is the reason she dies and has
- 25:16Speaker 2: so much love for her that he can't even see
- 25:18Speaker 2: her in her last moments, only when she withers away,
- 25:21Speaker 2: and they can never let their love truly live up
- 25:23Speaker 2: to what it's supposed to be destroyed.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Listen, none of that would have happened if he'd just
- 25:27Speaker 1: gotten a job. That to me, that's what I that's
- 25:30Speaker 1: what I took away from it. I'm like, you got
- 25:32Speaker 1: a job, No, he didn't.
- 25:33Speaker 4: He was like, he was a farm hand, and he
- 25:36Speaker 4: was like, well, I guess she's moving on. Maybe I
- 25:38Speaker 4: should try and make something of myself.
- 25:40Speaker 1: But he went off and then made something of himself.
- 25:42Speaker 1: But if he'd done that two years earlier, they would
- 25:45Speaker 1: have been together.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Sometimes you need that deeper reason of why this is broke.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Boyfriend propaganda, and I will not stand for it.
- 25:51Speaker 2: So you're upset that he does not acting fast enough
- 25:54Speaker 2: for his love.
- 25:54Speaker 4: That's exactly if you really loved her and you really
- 25:56Speaker 4: wanted to be with her, you knew she was never
- 25:59Speaker 4: gonna marry you.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Being a farm hand, you should.
- 26:02Speaker 4: If you had the capacity, because he made something of himself,
- 26:05Speaker 4: then go out there and make some time of yourself
- 26:07Speaker 4: and then you can be together with your love. And
- 26:09Speaker 4: she doesn't have to go Mary what's his face?
- 26:11Speaker 2: Gosh, yeah, the whatever, the boring man. But it's frustrating
- 26:16Speaker 2: because that that time period, you can't leave that relationship,
- 26:18Speaker 2: Like that's where I was. I'm like, just walk away,
- 26:21Speaker 2: But I guess you can't do that, and they can't.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I don't know when that time period was, the sixteen hundreds,
- 26:24Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:25Speaker 1: You can't just walk away from nineteenth century.
- 26:27Speaker 2: You can't just leave and just be with the person
- 26:30Speaker 2: that you love. You have to suffer through a life
- 26:33Speaker 2: and then die because of it.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah. How horrible is that? Yeah? Well, I mean they
- 26:38Speaker 1: kind of did it to themselves, That's what I'm saying,
- 26:40Speaker 1: you know.
- 26:40Speaker 3: But then you're sitting there and like, that's what we're
- 26:42Speaker 3: just bawling, just.
- 26:43Speaker 4: They destroyed their lives and the lives of everyone around them,
- 26:45Speaker 4: just because he couldn't get a job, but.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Also because the girl, you know, Margot, Robbie's caretaker or
- 26:50Speaker 2: whatever is what do you call her?
- 26:52Speaker 3: A maid?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Uh? What's her?
- 26:54Speaker 4: She has a name, Nessy, Nessy.
- 26:58Speaker 3: It's not mesty. It's something with an end. Nelly. Nelly
- 27:01Speaker 3: don't want to be honest about you know.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I guess we sobbed and now I've sobbed almost every
- 27:08Speaker 2: romance movie that we've watched together.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It is, you, guys, see a happy one to watch.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Well, that's why we started the Minions. I was like,
- 27:16Speaker 2: I was joking with Abby about this, but I swear
- 27:18Speaker 2: to you, I think we actually enjoyed the Minions we've
- 27:20Speaker 2: now watched too.
- 27:21Speaker 4: I mean they do have like fifteen films and it's
- 27:23Speaker 4: truly good. Oh my god, that's my dream. If I
- 27:25Speaker 4: could go back and redo my life, I would want
- 27:27Speaker 4: to become an actor that you retire around forty because
- 27:31Speaker 4: you just make so much money off of these freaking
- 27:33Speaker 4: Pixar films.
- 27:35Speaker 3: You're a voice actor in the Minions, Christen Bell and Frozen.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Oh my god, just kind of do whatever you want. Yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 4: starring a Pixar film once every ten years.
- 27:44Speaker 2: How do you become a voice actor in an animated
- 27:46Speaker 2: movie unless you're Tom like Hanks like that, that's different.
- 27:50Speaker 1: The thing is with Hang On My Life.
- 27:53Speaker 4: The thing is with these animated films is they only
- 27:58Speaker 4: want to hire people with big names because that's how
- 27:59Speaker 4: they mark at these films too. Adults, So like, oh,
- 28:01Speaker 4: we I'll go see that with my kid. Because Margot
- 28:03Speaker 4: Robbie is staring as the dancing elf.
- 28:05Speaker 1: You know, but how.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Okay when you think of Frozen, like did we know of?
- 28:11Speaker 2: I could be so wrong here, so please correct me
- 28:12Speaker 2: in the comments. But the snowman, what's his name?
- 28:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:17Speaker 1: We knew him? What's his name? Who plays Olof?
- 28:19Speaker 3: Wasn't it like I want to say, Josh? I think
- 28:22Speaker 3: Josh Gad We.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Knew who he was? We did?
- 28:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I think he's He was a comedic actor. He
- 28:27Speaker 4: was in brook Book of Mormon, And so.
- 28:32Speaker 3: There's no chance for us to get into an animated movie.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Maybe you never know, and just.
- 28:37Speaker 3: To be like one of the backgrounds.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Because if I could be the background of a minion
- 28:40Speaker 2: like matter, that would be so easy in seven movies okay,
- 28:47Speaker 2: and other drugs. Okay, then I guess he's actually a star.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I guess I didn't know his name based off of Oloff? Yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 2: but okay, so there's no hope because I thought it
- 28:54Speaker 2: was like, maybe that could be your way in. You
- 28:55Speaker 2: don't actually have to know how to act, You just
- 28:57Speaker 2: have to know how to speak. I'm like, I'll do
- 28:58Speaker 2: it for free, just to be an a minion.
- 29:01Speaker 1: But you know, I learned this because I was. I
- 29:03Speaker 1: was hanging out with.
- 29:05Speaker 2: One of my friend's sons was telling me that the
- 29:08Speaker 2: minions and if you're a parent, you know this. But
- 29:12Speaker 2: like Minyonese you probably saw on Instagram, like all the
- 29:14Speaker 2: sing singing combination.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Is it a real language and people just sound like
- 29:17Speaker 1: they're speaking.
- 29:18Speaker 2: It's like a real language. That's the combination of all
- 29:21Speaker 2: the languages in the world. Here's how my friend's son
- 29:23Speaker 2: explained it to me. The minions have been around for
- 29:26Speaker 2: the entire timeline of Earth, and so they've lived in
- 29:31Speaker 2: every location. So as they live in that location, they
- 29:34Speaker 2: learned the language. As they move, they learned that language.
- 29:36Speaker 1: So Menyonese is now the minions have been actual lore.
- 29:39Speaker 2: They do and now it's the combination of all those
- 29:42Speaker 2: languages combined. So every now and then you'll hear Spanish,
- 29:45Speaker 2: I've even heard Hebrew.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Oh you've heard like all these different languages.
- 29:50Speaker 1: And then what wordsmine?
- 29:53Speaker 3: I think mackus kiss kiss, that's what I know. Belo
- 29:57Speaker 3: is hello bello.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yeah. See that was good, was like a opinion, so cute.
- 30:01Speaker 2: We've like become so obsessed with the minions. We're now
- 30:03Speaker 2: two in I think we got like seven more to go.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Who doesn't love a Minion? I weirdly I say it.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I hated it for so long I wanted to hate
- 30:10Speaker 3: the Minions.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You do have minion energy, you have the you have
- 30:14Speaker 1: the aura of a Minion.
- 30:15Speaker 3: I will take it.
- 30:17Speaker 2: But I also like, I could definitely see that as
- 30:19Speaker 2: a disc now that I know the Minions good, I
- 30:22Speaker 2: can definitely.
- 30:23Speaker 4: I have the the aura of Groop what's his name? Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 4: I have grew aura.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Oh grew from Despicable to me from.
- 30:31Speaker 1: The mint Because this isn't the leader of the Minions.
- 30:34Speaker 3: He's the evil like leader.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yes, yes, but he's played by Steve Carell.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah, who nails it. I wonder how much he got
- 30:40Speaker 2: paid for all those movies.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Millions of dollars.
- 30:42Speaker 3: He's set for life, even though he won't be.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Done millions of dollars.
- 30:45Speaker 2: But it's actually so entertaining. Have you actually sat down
- 30:48Speaker 2: and watched an entire Minion movie?
- 30:49Speaker 1: And what scenario would I sit down and be like?
- 30:51Speaker 1: You know what?
- 30:52Speaker 2: I don't know plane ride random Saturday morning, because the
- 30:55Speaker 2: only movie I watch on planes is Crazy Occasions.
- 30:58Speaker 3: That's actually a really good one too, such a plane movie.
- 31:00Speaker 3: I do love that.
- 31:01Speaker 1: You know what?
- 31:01Speaker 4: Makes a good plane movie is A it has to
- 31:04Speaker 4: be pretty long. B it has to be enjoyable and light.
- 31:08Speaker 4: But see, they have to be on a plane at
- 31:09Speaker 4: some point. Oh, that's what makes a plane movie. I've
- 31:11Speaker 4: decided the connection, yes, because I think people associate plane
- 31:15Speaker 4: movies with the characters getting on a plane.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Ah, does it makes sense?
- 31:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Also think about anyone but you they get on a
- 31:23Speaker 4: plane in like the first twenty minutes.
- 31:24Speaker 3: God, that's a good one too.
- 31:25Speaker 1: That's another good plane movie.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Dang, I'm trying to think of horrible plane movies then,
- 31:28Speaker 2: because the last one I said on this podcast with
- 31:32Speaker 2: no sex, so no sex scene.
- 31:34Speaker 1: That was a mistake.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I realized that was a mistake. I knew it then,
- 31:37Speaker 3: I know it now.
- 31:37Speaker 1: I learned it.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Going forward, we've learned.
- 31:40Speaker 1: It's got to be PG. Thirteen.
- 31:41Speaker 2: We've grown from that moment you have, We definitely have.
- 31:44Speaker 2: We've gone from there, but now we have Oh my gosh,
- 31:47Speaker 2: well I can't even even talk. I'm gonna just say
- 31:49Speaker 2: that then because this is my my girlfriend's birthday week,
- 31:52Speaker 2: very exciting and I got some things planned that I'm
- 31:54Speaker 2: glad we talk plane movies.
- 31:56Speaker 4: This comes out Wednesday, what can what will have been
- 31:58Speaker 4: done by Wednesday because.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It all really kicks off Thursday.
- 32:01Speaker 2: After Thursday, I then could reveal like, Okay, what we're doing,
- 32:06Speaker 2: what I've got, the gift I have give, I've given
- 32:10Speaker 2: all those things after Thursday, but I gotta make it
- 32:12Speaker 2: to Thursday first.
- 32:14Speaker 3: That will be the biggest thing.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Which I also realize, like, ohn't know, there's a lot
- 32:19Speaker 2: of birthday stress that comes with it. I realize I'm
- 32:21Speaker 2: not really a planner until this relationship. Hmm. I've never
- 32:24Speaker 2: been that person that's like, Ooh, I got a surprise
- 32:26Speaker 2: for you. I have things lined up, I have things
- 32:29Speaker 2: ready to go that I can't tell you about.
- 32:31Speaker 1: This crap is stressful, like beyond like even when I.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Thought, because what's stressful about it getting other people involved, Okay,
- 32:39Speaker 2: matching other people's schedules, lining up things to line up
- 32:42Speaker 2: perfectly with the time, Like there are things I have
- 32:45Speaker 2: lined up that I'm like, the timing needs to be
- 32:47Speaker 2: like spot on one red light, one delay, and the
- 32:52Speaker 2: whole plan foils. Okay, it's crazy, but it's also so exciting.
- 32:57Speaker 2: But it's also stressful because my girlfriend's usually a planner,
- 33:00Speaker 2: and so I've taken that role and now she's like, well,
- 33:02Speaker 2: what the hell's happening. I'm like, I can either tell
- 33:04Speaker 2: you the plan or sit back and enjoy the ride, baby, like,
- 33:09Speaker 2: strap on it.
- 33:09Speaker 1: That's it.
- 33:10Speaker 3: That's literally what I've said for the past couple weeks.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I'm like, strap up, well, better be a good ride.
- 33:15Speaker 2: That's where I think the stress is now. I'm like, God, dang,
- 33:18Speaker 2: I've raised the bar where I'm like, I hope I
- 33:21Speaker 2: live up to that bar, but yeah, you.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Gotta be careful because this is your your one, so
- 33:25Speaker 4: everything after this you don't want it to be a letdown.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Well, that's where I'm okay, and the fact that at
- 33:31Speaker 2: least I'll have another year of like all right, this
- 33:33Speaker 2: is where the bar is.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Now, where do we go from there? How can we
- 33:37Speaker 3: open this thing up?
- 33:38Speaker 2: But I do feel bad because I was like, God,
- 33:40Speaker 2: to get her friends in on this, it was virtually.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Impossible in what way. They're all out of town. It's like, well,
- 33:47Speaker 3: that's rood of them for leaving town.
- 33:48Speaker 2: That's what I thought. That's that's exactly how I know.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I was just joking, but I did like start reaching out.
- 33:53Speaker 2: But I was like, dang, I think I reached out
- 33:55Speaker 2: too quick a couple weeks ago, and it's like, oh,
- 33:57Speaker 2: we're out of town. We're out of town, we're not there,
- 33:58Speaker 2: We're not I'm like, well, damn it. I feel like
- 34:01Speaker 2: that's on me. I should have probably put something out
- 34:03Speaker 2: there a little quicker. So it's a little bit of
- 34:05Speaker 2: the stress of not revealing what it is too early
- 34:09Speaker 2: and not having key people that could be a part
- 34:12Speaker 2: of it on the actual day.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Gotcha.
- 34:14Speaker 3: That's where it gets a little tough.
- 34:15Speaker 2: But I'll be able to share it all at the
- 34:17Speaker 2: end of this week, as I've already revealed what we're doing,
- 34:20Speaker 2: and you're probably gonna look at it me like, Scott,
- 34:21Speaker 2: you're so corny.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yes, yes i am, But corny's cute when you're in love.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I think anything when you're in love is lovely.
- 34:29Speaker 2: As long as what I've learned is like just effort
- 34:31Speaker 2: and trusting, like you know your partner and just do
- 34:35Speaker 2: the little bit of effort that could show that you
- 34:37Speaker 2: actually thought.
- 34:38Speaker 3: It wasn't a last minute like put together rushing to
- 34:41Speaker 3: the goal line.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Sometimes it's just show me that you care. Yes, it's
- 34:44Speaker 4: not necessarily about what you buy her or what you do.
- 34:46Speaker 4: It's just I cared enough to plan something m and
- 34:49Speaker 4: you know, first year, you got nothing to compare it against.
- 34:52Speaker 1: So she's just gonna be thrilled. That's exactly. Whereas in
- 34:55Speaker 1: your three sigma year one, do.
- 34:57Speaker 3: You remember you put in all this effort.
- 34:59Speaker 1: You did all on this. Do you even listen to me?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Very very rare.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Yeah, see, I'm setting the bar that would be till
- 35:05Speaker 3: you're ten.
- 35:06Speaker 1: There you go, you're ten. You guys, you have a
- 35:07Speaker 1: good five years. I don't know how many good ideas
- 35:09Speaker 1: I could come up. I feel like this one.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I'll share it and then you'll be like, oh, that's
- 35:12Speaker 2: that's kind of corny.
- 35:14Speaker 4: You'll get creative, and then you'll have kids to help you,
- 35:16Speaker 4: Like my dad is always texting me for a gift device.
- 35:19Speaker 1: And I'm a great gift giver.
- 35:21Speaker 4: For when it comes to like your mom, for anybody.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Oh I'm I think what I have learned about gift
- 35:27Speaker 4: giving is it shows how.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Observant you are or how good of a listener you are.
- 35:34Speaker 4: But you also have to combine it with competence, because
- 35:36Speaker 4: it's one thing to like listen to somebody, but can
- 35:39Speaker 4: you turn that into something that.
- 35:40Speaker 1: They're actually gonna care about, Like.
- 35:42Speaker 4: My mom's birthday gift. I don't know that she has
- 35:47Speaker 4: received it yet. I think she might be receiving it at.
- 35:49Speaker 1: A later date.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Was your mom's birthday? It was July tenth, okay.
- 35:55Speaker 4: But I think they were on vacation or something, and
- 35:58Speaker 4: I think it's the gift still in production.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Oh wow, Okay, So you don't have to reveal that
- 36:03Speaker 2: one unless you want to. But what is one in
- 36:05Speaker 2: the past, or like somebody that you have helped give
- 36:07Speaker 2: a gift too that you're like, I'm pretty damn proud
- 36:09Speaker 2: of that.
- 36:09Speaker 4: My dad was very intentional for the twenty fifth anniversary,
- 36:12Speaker 4: and so he decided to do twenty five gifts leading
- 36:15Speaker 4: up to the twenty fifth anniversary gius. And of course
- 36:18Speaker 4: when you come up with twenty five gifts, you need
- 36:19Speaker 4: a little bit of help.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 36:21Speaker 4: One gift I came up with, which I think he's
- 36:23Speaker 4: still proud up to this day is I told him
- 36:25Speaker 4: to get a build a Bear. But in the build
- 36:29Speaker 4: a Bear, I can't remember if I was like, oh,
- 36:31Speaker 4: you should put your wedding song in the build a
- 36:33Speaker 4: Bear to where you like press it. There was something
- 36:35Speaker 4: audio wise, I can't remember what it was. I don't
- 36:37Speaker 4: know if it was like a callback to their wedding
- 36:39Speaker 4: day or if I was like, you should dress them
- 36:41Speaker 4: up like a little tuxedo or something. I told him
- 36:44Speaker 4: one of the bigger gifts should be a diamond necklace.
- 36:48Speaker 4: But the diamond necklace should have four Marquis diamonds because
- 36:51Speaker 4: four is like their number, and then Marquis is the
- 36:56Speaker 4: diamond shape that my mom has. And then in between
- 37:00Speaker 4: the Marquis diamonds there should be four pearls because they
- 37:03Speaker 4: got married in June and pearl is the birthstone of June.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Damn it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: See, I'm really fucking good.
- 37:07Speaker 4: You're really I should actually for these ideas, you really
- 37:10Speaker 4: should have I should have a planning service.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I really think you should because you're very thoughtful.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Like everything you've talked about has been so well thought through,
- 37:18Speaker 2: Like the trips have been thought through, the girl getaways
- 37:20Speaker 2: have been thought through. The gift ideas have been thought through.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Like that's that is something I don't know. Does that
- 37:27Speaker 2: come easy for you? I think it's like creativity.
- 37:30Speaker 4: You know, sometimes creativity is really easy, and then sometimes
- 37:32Speaker 4: it's like you have writer's block. So I think it's
- 37:36Speaker 4: easier sometimes when the pressure isn't on you, Like my
- 37:38Speaker 4: dad is a great gift giver. Yeah, but after thirty
- 37:40Speaker 4: four years or whatever of like coming up with gifts,
- 37:43Speaker 4: I think there's a lot of pressure and it's like, oh,
- 37:44Speaker 4: it's my wife, and oh I waited till the last second.
- 37:46Speaker 4: I not that I forgot, but like, oh my god,
- 37:48Speaker 4: I only have a week and this idea is going
- 37:50Speaker 4: to take two weeks to where having somebody that has
- 37:53Speaker 4: the same brain as you but has less pressure, I
- 37:55Speaker 4: think maybe the creativity flows.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yeah, like you're getting an outside perspective.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but like and sometimes the gifts creep up on you,
- 38:02Speaker 4: like you don't realize just how good a gift is
- 38:03Speaker 4: gonna be. Like, for example, I got my whole family
- 38:07Speaker 4: gifts for Christmas. Yere, I always get them one gift,
- 38:09Speaker 4: and like, I was really excited about my mom and
- 38:11Speaker 4: my dad's gifts because I got them like monogram towels
- 38:14Speaker 4: for their house that they bought down here.
- 38:15Speaker 1: I'm like, you guys go to the beach and use
- 38:17Speaker 1: the towels. They say Murphy on them and they're like, oh,
- 38:18Speaker 1: that's so great.
- 38:20Speaker 4: And then I got my brother's wife a love shack.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Fancy Stanley cup, which you know she was excited about,
- 38:26Speaker 4: but you know, like, but I was like, oh, I'm
- 38:28Speaker 4: so good. And then I gave my brother a fucking uh.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I went to Storm, which is an electrolyte drink place
- 38:34Speaker 4: here in Tampa. I'm in my mind thinking this is
- 38:37Speaker 4: the dinkiest gift of them all. I got him a
- 38:41Speaker 4: Storm branded Yettie water bottle with a pack of his
- 38:46Speaker 4: favorite Storm mixed you can like mix it at home.
- 38:51Speaker 1: And when I tell you, this man was fucking elated.
- 38:54Speaker 1: God dang.
- 38:55Speaker 4: And it's so funny because the entire time I'm thinking, oh,
- 38:57Speaker 4: this is so dinky compared to everybody else, Like I
- 38:59Speaker 4: got her the love fancying. I got my mother br
- 39:01Speaker 4: a towel, and my brother was like, I have been
- 39:04Speaker 4: saving up my Storm points for this Yetti water bottle
- 39:08Speaker 4: and my Storm packets.
- 39:09Speaker 1: And I was like, Ben, it's only like fifty bucks.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Like you make a lot of money. You could have
- 39:15Speaker 1: gotten this yourself. You really could have just bodies like no,
- 39:17Speaker 1: I was saving up with my stormpoints. But now I
- 39:19Speaker 1: don't have to use my Storm points. I can just
- 39:21Speaker 1: you just have it.
- 39:22Speaker 2: You can use the Storm points or something else, I know,
- 39:23Speaker 2: And it just worked out really really well.
- 39:25Speaker 1: That's super fun.
- 39:26Speaker 2: That's super thoughtful of you to be able to go
- 39:28Speaker 2: that extra step to see what everyone would actually appreciate.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Yeah, like those things go.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I think, like you said, like that's that's the bigger
- 39:35Speaker 2: distance where it's not just oh, something could be expensive,
- 39:38Speaker 2: but that doesn't mean it's thoughtful.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I feel.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Like, just because you got someone a five thousand dollars bracelet,
- 39:44Speaker 4: it doesn't necessarily mean that you care about them, because
- 39:46Speaker 4: sometimes five thousand dollars doesn't mean that much to somebody,
- 39:49Speaker 4: Like if Taylor Swift gifted what's his face Travis Kelce
- 39:52Speaker 4: a five thousand dollars watch, we'd be like five thousand dollars,
- 39:56Speaker 4: But maybe that five thousand dollars watch means something more.
- 39:58Speaker 1: You just don't know.
- 39:59Speaker 2: You have to be able to pay attention, Yeah, and
- 40:01Speaker 2: go that a little extra effort.
- 40:02Speaker 3: That is the biggest thing.
- 40:03Speaker 4: But if my parents got me a five thousand dollars watch,
- 40:05Speaker 4: it be like that's a big deal for my parents
- 40:06Speaker 4: give me a five thousand dollars gift, that's crazy.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, that'd be super What is the best
- 40:11Speaker 2: gift that's been given to you then do you have
- 40:13Speaker 2: somebody in your life that's pretty good at giving gifts now?
- 40:16Speaker 1: And that's a really good question.
- 40:18Speaker 4: You know what gift I bring up a lot on
- 40:20Speaker 4: my birthday every year is one of my really close
- 40:22Speaker 4: friends from middle school brought me a red velvet cupcake
- 40:27Speaker 4: for my birthday, like in middle school, and I think
- 40:29Speaker 4: I like off handedly mentioned that I like love red
- 40:31Speaker 4: velvet cake. And because she remembered that I loved red
- 40:34Speaker 4: velvet cake. The fact that she just like brought me
- 40:36Speaker 4: the cupcake and remember just like listened and remembered that
- 40:40Speaker 4: meant a.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Lot to me.
- 40:41Speaker 4: That's cool, like someone going, oh, you said that once
- 40:43Speaker 4: three months ago, and it I remembered because I just
- 40:47Speaker 4: my love language is just being considered, like did someone
- 40:51Speaker 4: think about you? Did?
- 40:53Speaker 1: Like, did someone consider how you would feel in a situation?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Yeah? Were you thought for?
- 40:58Speaker 1: Was I thought for?
- 40:58Speaker 4: And she she remembered my birthday and she remembered I
- 41:01Speaker 4: like red velvet cake, and she brought me a revel
- 41:03Speaker 4: food cake.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I know, I'm so sweet.
- 41:06Speaker 2: That is sweet because it's not even it's a perfect
- 41:08Speaker 2: example like a cupcake, but how much more is that
- 41:12Speaker 2: cupcake in those moments?
- 41:14Speaker 1: It's the brain power behind it. Dang.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Okay, well now though, but don't get me.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Wrong, you want to even a five thousand dollars watch
- 41:18Speaker 4: Mom and Dad. I'm on board, I'm I'm ready for it.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Well, one of the things, I'm excited because you said
- 41:25Speaker 2: your mom's coming to Scotti and Abbey Live. She is.
- 41:27Speaker 4: She's bringing our number one fan. Who have I told
- 41:31Speaker 4: you about Miss Middleton?
- 41:32Speaker 3: Is she coming?
- 41:33Speaker 1: She is coming? She can all wait to meet you.
- 41:34Speaker 2: That.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Oh, I can't wait to meet her.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Yeah, my mom is a friend who I guess is
- 41:39Speaker 4: like a passionate listener.
- 41:40Speaker 1: So hello, Miss Middleton. Hello, that's amazing.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Is that the one that has the the hot sun?
- 41:46Speaker 1: The two hot suns? And my mom's like freaking out
- 41:47Speaker 1: over Yes, yes, they come in too. I don't think
- 41:50Speaker 1: they're coming. That is so funny. That would be funny though.
- 41:52Speaker 2: So keeping the line, well, that would be super excited
- 41:54Speaker 2: to be able to see and meet some of the
- 41:56Speaker 2: folks that do actually get to listen. If you are
- 41:57Speaker 2: in the Tampa area and you want to be a
- 41:59Speaker 2: part of it, this is.
