- 0:59Speaker 3: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well, last night was
- 1:03Speaker 3: so exciting. I sat in my house and I was
- 1:06Speaker 3: able to watch my live Juicy Scoop from Sunday in
- 1:09Speaker 3: my home. And so did so many of you. And
- 1:12Speaker 3: you can still watch it. You go to heathermcdonald.net and
- 1:15Speaker 3: you click right on there to watch this. And you
- 1:17Speaker 3: can watch it from now until Saturday at 6 p.m.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Pacific time.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And then it is gone. It's gone from the universe.
- 1:25Speaker 3: But let me tell you, It was so funny. It's
- 1:27Speaker 3: almost two hours. It's Chris, Sarah, Justin, and Spencer Pratt.
- 1:32Speaker 3: And they were hilarious. And I was really pleased with it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And I loved all the comments of how much you
- 1:37Speaker 3: guys liked it. So thank you so much. You can
- 1:40Speaker 3: check that out. Also, I'm coming back April 9th. Two
- 1:44Speaker 3: shows at the Tempe Improv. The first one is sold out.
- 1:46Speaker 3: The second one, there's still tickets. Come see me. I
- 1:48Speaker 3: had a great time doing stand-up at Brea. I wore
- 1:51Speaker 3: tennis shoes, and I have a bedazzled Juicy Scoop ski
- 1:54Speaker 3: helmet in case I need it. So you do not
- 1:57Speaker 3: need to worry, Tempe. I just want to get into,
- 2:01Speaker 3: before I bring out Josh Wolfe, who's a hilarious comedian,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and we get really into some juice today, I just
- 2:06Speaker 3: want to talk about The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Because, listen,
- 2:10Speaker 3: I'm all for charity, and I love that Dolores thing.
- 2:14Speaker 3: had a celebrity baseball game with all the cast of
- 2:17Speaker 3: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the husbands and everything,
- 2:20Speaker 3: against some corporation. And they sold 2,000 tickets that went
- 2:24Speaker 3: to charity. Good for her. I know that's part of
- 2:28Speaker 3: her life. I'm glad we got to see it. I'm
- 2:29Speaker 3: glad we got to see Teresa have a collab with
- 2:33Speaker 3: her daughter, Gia, bring leggings to everybody. And then Margaret go,
- 2:37Speaker 3: I don't want to wear them.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:38Speaker 3: You weren't nice to me at the tree when we
- 2:40Speaker 3: went ziplining at the tree thing. I don't want to
- 2:43Speaker 3: talk about it. I can ask you a question about Louie.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I don't like the way you're talking about me, so
- 2:47Speaker 3: I'm not going to wear your leggings. And then we
- 2:51Speaker 3: have to sit through, and we checked it. How many
- 2:54Speaker 3: minutes was it, 18? It was 14 minutes. It was
- 2:58Speaker 3: 14 minutes of just the actual baseball game. I mean,
- 3:02Speaker 3: first inning, second inning, third inning, fourth inning. The only
- 3:07Speaker 3: juicy part, which I don't even think was juicy, was
- 3:10Speaker 3: when Teresa– basically body shamed Margaret and said to some people,
- 3:15Speaker 3: if Margaret would have worn my leggings, her ass wouldn't
- 3:18Speaker 3: jiggle so much and she'd probably be a better baseball
- 3:21Speaker 3: player and maybe she would score a point. That's what
- 3:25Speaker 3: we had to sit through 18 minutes of. I love you,
- 3:28Speaker 3: New Jersey. Your girls are being real, but I do
- 3:31Speaker 3: not appreciate the editors that maybe sit through 18 minutes
- 3:34Speaker 3: of a baseball game, okay? Now let's get to the
- 3:38Speaker 3: fun and the juice from comedian Josh Wolfe. Hello and
- 3:43Speaker 3: welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have a returning favorite, an
- 3:46Speaker 3: old friend, a total delight, comedian, musician, model, Josh Wolf.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I have to tell you.
- 3:55Speaker 3: How are you?
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'm good. Nobody's ever described me as a total delight before.
- 3:59Speaker 2: That felt pretty good.
- 4:00Speaker 3: You're pretty delightful.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I like that.
- 4:01Speaker 3: You've always been, you know, nice guy. So, you know,
- 4:07Speaker 3: we had you on the schedule to come.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yep.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And I was really like, wow, I think maybe by
- 4:11Speaker 3: the time we record this on Wednesday, this Will Smith,
- 4:15Speaker 3: Chris Rock thing, no. I still have so many thoughts
- 4:19Speaker 3: and so much more has come out and other people
- 4:21Speaker 3: have spoken. Will, of course, apologized. And Chris was just
- 4:28Speaker 3: seen in Boston. The shows are sold out, which, you know,
- 4:34Speaker 3: that's also amazing. I mean, I'm sure he was doing fine,
- 4:37Speaker 3: but you know, and not only, even if this didn't happen,
- 4:41Speaker 3: audience would have been reminded that he's a great comedian.
- 4:44Speaker 3: They should go buy his tickets.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 3: But I really feel like if you were going to
- 4:49Speaker 3: buy a ticket for him now, even if you are
- 4:51Speaker 3: dying to hear what he's going to say about it,
- 4:53Speaker 3: you're just like, I just want to support Chris Rock.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I just want to support Chris Rock and know that
- 4:57Speaker 3: I am a fan of comedy. Yeah. And I'm not
- 4:59Speaker 3: okay with what happened is what I feel people are.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I agree. I've been reading about the ticket sales and
- 5:05Speaker 2: it made me laugh because they were writing it like,
- 5:07Speaker 2: This little underdog, Chris Rock, is finally selling tickets. I'm like,
- 5:12Speaker 2: what are we talking about? He was going to sell
- 5:14Speaker 2: out anyways.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Yes, he would have.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Yes.
- 5:15Speaker 2: But I'm so curious as a comic.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 2: What he's going to say.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? Because he, look, if
- 5:26Speaker 2: he goes back, there's a couple ways to handle this.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Just like that night. That night, he had three choices
- 5:32Speaker 2: to handle it. As a professional. He could have handled
- 5:35Speaker 2: it as a comic or he could have handled it
- 5:37Speaker 2: with his ego. His, if he handled with his ego,
- 5:39Speaker 2: there's a fight. If he handles it as a comic,
- 5:42Speaker 2: which I almost expected him to do, I thought he
- 5:46Speaker 2: was going to say something about.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Well, interesting. They say that. So I was talking to
- 5:49Speaker 3: my son, Drake, we're talking about it. And he goes,
- 5:52Speaker 3: you know, did you see how the first time, uh,
- 5:57Speaker 3: You know, Will heckled him as he sat down and
- 6:00Speaker 3: he said, keep my wife's name out of your fucking mouth.
- 6:05Speaker 3: There's a moment where Chris is about to say something back.
- 6:09Speaker 3: And then it's like he checked himself and was like,
- 6:12Speaker 3: I'm not in a comedy club. This isn't a random dude.
- 6:17Speaker 3: This is the Oscars. And he went back into full-blown
- 6:22Speaker 3: professional mode. And we've all had our act interrupted. And
- 6:27Speaker 3: we've had someone yell or be disruptive or whatever. And
- 6:31Speaker 3: I've had to be like, stop. I'm sorry. You're going
- 6:33Speaker 3: to have to leave. And I hate that. But I
- 6:36Speaker 3: am able to go back to literally the next word
- 6:39Speaker 3: that I was going to say before I was interrupted.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And it's just something that as comedians... We are really,
- 6:46Speaker 3: it's the greatest talent. It's like you have to go
- 6:48Speaker 3: on stage when you got in a fight with your
- 6:50Speaker 3: spouse two minutes before, got word that a high school
- 6:53Speaker 3: friend died. You have to be on stage for 110
- 6:57Speaker 3: minutes being funny, and you have to do it. And
- 7:00Speaker 3: it's why it's such a unique talent that we can
- 7:03Speaker 3: pat ourselves on the back for and why so few people.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Can do it. You're talking about getting a room full
- 7:11Speaker 2: of people together who have never met, And to get
- 7:14Speaker 2: them to all laugh at the same thing and then
- 7:16Speaker 2: to get stopped midway and to pick up. But I'll
- 7:19Speaker 2: tell you something, you know, when I hear people stay.
- 7:20Speaker 3: In a regular comedy, because those people know each other.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah. But when I, when I hear people stay, you know,
- 7:27Speaker 2: be like, well, Will Smith stuck up for his wife. Yo,
- 7:30Speaker 2: even if you're going to run that narrative, here's what
- 7:33Speaker 2: I would say. As a, cause people like he did
- 7:36Speaker 2: grown man stuff. I consider myself to be a grown
- 7:39Speaker 2: man too. Do you know what me as a grown
- 7:40Speaker 2: man would have done? If I looked at Beth and
- 7:42Speaker 2: saw her that upset, I would have looked at her.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I would have patted her on the knee. I would
- 7:47Speaker 2: have stood up at the joke. I would have walked,
- 7:49Speaker 2: waited side stage for him. When he walked off stage,
- 7:52Speaker 2: I would have said to him, as a man, hey man,
- 7:54Speaker 2: not in front of the cameras, because when you do
- 7:56Speaker 2: something in front of the cameras, that's a show. Yo,
- 7:58Speaker 2: what Will Smith did was a show for party of one.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That was 100% for Jada. To be like, look, Jada,
- 8:06Speaker 2: I can be a man. That was show for party one.
- 8:09Speaker 2: A real man, what you do is you don't make
- 8:12Speaker 2: a spectacle. It's not like you don't post on Instagram,
- 8:15Speaker 2: this is how many charities I gave to. You just
- 8:17Speaker 2: give to charities, right? So this dude, what he should
- 8:19Speaker 2: have done, walked to the side of the stage and
- 8:22Speaker 2: been like, hey, man, I don't know if you know
- 8:24Speaker 2: what my wife's going through, but this is her disease.
- 8:27Speaker 2: What you said really bothered her. I'm going to need
- 8:30Speaker 2: you to apologize to her. Or when we come back
- 8:32Speaker 2: from commercial, All they're going to be talking about is
- 8:35Speaker 2: that you and I are fighting backstage.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's grown man shit. Not a show for everybody to see.
- 8:42Speaker 2: That's a dude who feels like he has to prove
- 8:46Speaker 2: that he's there for... Do you know what I mean?
- 8:49Speaker 3: That was sad. I think it's so many things with
- 8:51Speaker 3: Will Smith. I think it's extreme Hollywood privilege that supersedes
- 8:56Speaker 3: any kind of sex, gender, whatever.
- 8:58Speaker 2: No doubt.
- 8:59Speaker 3: I don't know how old he was when he got...
- 9:02Speaker 3: Can you look up how old he was when he
- 9:03Speaker 3: got Prince of Bel-Air? And he already was successful prior
- 9:07Speaker 3: to that. He already had the song and the music. Very,
- 9:10Speaker 3: very young. This isn't a person who got their first
- 9:12Speaker 3: break at 32. This is someone that has been beloved.
- 9:17Speaker 3: There has never been a scratch on his reputation. People
- 9:20Speaker 3: across the globe love him. 22 is when he got that.
- 9:24Speaker 3: And as a couple... For many years, they were couple
- 9:31Speaker 3: goals before people were using the word couple goals.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And untouchable.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Untouchable. They dressed like they were cute. They would sit
- 9:37Speaker 3: on Oprah and, you know, it was she, even though
- 9:41Speaker 3: she's five feet tall, she wears the pants. Oh, isn't
- 9:44Speaker 3: it cute when a wife treats her husband like shit?
- 9:47Speaker 3: Isn't that funny? Isn't it funny? But if a man does,
- 9:52Speaker 3: it's complete abuse. Run for the hills. We're picking up
- 9:55Speaker 3: a van and taking you to a shelter.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Think about the joke, Regina King, right? And by the way,
- 10:00Speaker 2: you know what was lost that night is how great
- 10:02Speaker 2: of a job that she Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer
- 10:05Speaker 2: did I thought they were really funny.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Well that's interesting that you bring that up because no
- 10:10Speaker 3: but I want to get back to the couple goals
- 10:11Speaker 3: thing so the couple goals thing has changed though the
- 10:14Speaker 3: narrative of the couple goals change for so long I
- 10:17Speaker 3: remember being in a writer's room and Like, maybe I
- 10:20Speaker 3: was on, I think I was writing White Chicks or something,
- 10:23Speaker 3: and some couple had broke up. I think Tom Cruise
- 10:25Speaker 3: and Nicole Kidman broke up. And I said, my gosh,
- 10:30Speaker 3: you know, anyone can break up except for Jada and Will.
- 10:32Speaker 3: And the whole place, like, exploded in laughter because we're like,
- 10:36Speaker 3: the world will lose their minds. Like, they are the
- 10:38Speaker 3: most beloved couple. Everybody wants to be them. They have
- 10:40Speaker 3: the two cute kids. They're funny. They're funny on Oprah.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Oprah loves their relationships. They jab at each other. That
- 10:46Speaker 3: was all exposed. Yeah. When her lover, who was her
- 10:50Speaker 3: stepson's friend.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yep.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Okay. How gross is that? If you found out that
- 10:56Speaker 3: a man was having sex with his stepdaughter's friend.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Yep.
- 11:00Speaker 3: It would not be an entanglement.
- 11:02Speaker 2: No.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Okay. So that comes out and then they had to address, well,
- 11:06Speaker 3: we have an open marriage. Here's the thing. The girl
- 11:10Speaker 3: that's sitting at home that's 28, who's single, her couple goal.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Is not to be having an open marriage at 50.
- 11:17Speaker 5: No.
- 11:17Speaker 3: It's not. So the whole narrative changed. The whole way
- 11:21Speaker 3: we feel about them changed. And yeah, people joke about
- 11:24Speaker 3: it on stage. And you're right. So the girls did
- 11:27Speaker 3: a great job. Wanda, I don't know if you saw,
- 11:28Speaker 3: Wanda just was on Ellen. Wanda Sykes. And, you know,
- 11:32Speaker 3: Wanda obviously, you know, is a comedian, but she's also,
- 11:36Speaker 3: her first job was writing on the Chris Rock variety
- 11:39Speaker 3: show because I worked with her on Kenan. They're extremely close.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I wrote on all of us. I wrote on Will
- 11:44Speaker 2: and Jada's show.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Oh.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So I've known about their relationship for a long time.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Okay, well, let me finish this and then I want
- 11:50Speaker 3: to hear about that. So anyway, she basically said, And
- 11:54Speaker 3: Ellen was great. And she was like, the three of
- 11:56Speaker 3: you did a great job. And she goes, the first
- 11:57Speaker 3: thing that Chris Rock said to me when I saw
- 11:59Speaker 3: him at the after party was he said, I went
- 12:02Speaker 3: up to him to talk to my friend. And he
- 12:05Speaker 3: was like, I am so sorry. She goes, what do
- 12:06Speaker 3: you mean you're sorry? And he's like, this was supposed
- 12:08Speaker 3: to be your night. You and Regina and Amy did
- 12:11Speaker 3: so great. And this is like– and she's like, obviously,
- 12:14Speaker 3: it's not your fault, Chris. But that's the kind of
- 12:16Speaker 3: person he is. And that's the kind– a person, a
- 12:18Speaker 3: good performer is, it's like, I'm the secondary player. That
- 12:22Speaker 3: was your night, all that. And he, um, but anyway, so,
- 12:26Speaker 3: so they talked about that, but, uh, and, and they
- 12:29Speaker 3: did do a good job and everything and it was
- 12:31Speaker 3: fun and they joked about it, but no one, of course,
- 12:34Speaker 3: you know, no one's talking about that really, but tell
- 12:37Speaker 3: me about working on the show.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Let me just also make one small note about, you know,
- 12:41Speaker 2: there was a joke about how Regina King was single and,
- 12:45Speaker 2: And she was calling dudes on stage to give them
- 12:48Speaker 2: COVID tests with their tongue.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And so I was laughing at that. I was laughing.
- 12:52Speaker 2: And Beth was like, why are you laughing at that?
- 12:53Speaker 2: I'm like, it's funny. She said, can you imagine if
- 12:55Speaker 2: it was a male host calling women on stage to
- 12:58Speaker 2: say that they're cute and they're hot and I'm going
- 13:00Speaker 2: to give you a COVID test with my tongue? What
- 13:02Speaker 2: that entire crowd would be doing? Right. I was like,
- 13:05Speaker 2: I hadn't even thought of that. That's not where my
- 13:07Speaker 2: brain goes. You know, they can do it, but I
- 13:09Speaker 2: can't and all that. But so crazy because that was
- 13:11Speaker 2: like– She was like, it's a direct, I'm going to
- 13:14Speaker 2: violate you with my tongue. You have no choice because
- 13:17Speaker 2: you're a good looking dude and that's what I want
- 13:19Speaker 2: to do. And I was like, I had, this is
- 13:21Speaker 2: where my brain goes.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I know everybody, you know, talks about the straight males
- 13:26Speaker 3: in comedy and all that. But I'm the first to
- 13:29Speaker 3: say that as a female, we get a lot, get
- 13:32Speaker 3: away with a lot more on stage than the guys
- 13:35Speaker 3: can today.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Today, for sure.
- 13:37Speaker 3: A hundred percent. Yeah, yeah. You know, like, especially when
- 13:40Speaker 3: you talk about men and spouse and or even messing
- 13:44Speaker 3: with men in the audience versus messing with women, but
- 13:47Speaker 3: it is a different thing. And, and men are raised different.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I mean, it shouldn't all be the same. I don't
- 13:51Speaker 3: want it to be the same. There are different standards
- 13:54Speaker 3: for different people for different things.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I do think though, that like when you make somebody unjokeable,
- 14:01Speaker 2: you separate them in a way that I don't think
- 14:04Speaker 2: is good.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I agree. Great point.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I don't look, if you're unjokeable, that is, I mean,
- 14:09Speaker 2: you're better than me. Like, I don't quite understand. Like,
- 14:13Speaker 2: how that works. And I'm all bored. Look, either you
- 14:15Speaker 2: get to laugh at everybody or you can laugh at nobody.
- 14:18Speaker 2: But to me, you don't get to pick and choose.
- 14:19Speaker 2: That one touches my heart a little bit, but I
- 14:22Speaker 2: like to laugh at fat people. Do you know what
- 14:23Speaker 2: I mean? Like, I don't think you can, you can
- 14:25Speaker 2: choose those two.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Although fat people are fun to laugh at.
- 14:28Speaker 3: But here, you know, here's the thing.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 14:31Speaker 3: But here's the thing. Beth, like Bethany Frankel, someone sent
- 14:33Speaker 3: me something. She's a housewife of New York, but she's
- 14:36Speaker 3: also very established and she's And someone's like, what do
- 14:39Speaker 3: you think of this? And she's like, I mean, why
- 14:41Speaker 3: does Will Smith get to say this? Is there some
- 14:44Speaker 3: certificate you get as a comedian? First of all, I
- 14:47Speaker 3: met Bethany Frankel 20 years ago and she was obsessed
- 14:50Speaker 3: with the fact that I was a comedian. She's always
- 14:52Speaker 3: wanted to be a comedian and she couldn't. So in
- 14:55Speaker 3: her world, she feels like, oh, I can't say– I
- 14:58Speaker 3: say something and I get shit. Here's the thing, people.
- 15:01Speaker 3: We're all getting shit for what we say. Comedians, politicians,
- 15:06Speaker 3: normal people, people on podcasts, because it's so easy to
- 15:11Speaker 3: make a comment. But what concerns me in the realm
- 15:14Speaker 3: of comedy and live stand-up, which is still the purest
- 15:17Speaker 3: form of comedy, it's more pure than a TikTok, a podcast,
- 15:21Speaker 3: than a sketch, because you're completely vulnerable by yourself, and
- 15:25Speaker 3: why I do think it's the hardest craft and why
- 15:27Speaker 3: so few people can do it successfully, is that It's
- 15:32Speaker 3: just you saying this. For people now, in their mind,
- 15:38Speaker 3: whenever somebody says something on a podcast, on an Instagram,
- 15:41Speaker 3: on a TikTok, they can write a comment. Now they're
- 15:44Speaker 3: going to be in the club. Hopefully this will be
- 15:48Speaker 3: the thing that stops this, but I think the fear is,
- 15:51Speaker 3: is this going to be more of a thing? That
- 15:53Speaker 3: you're at a comedy club, someone says something you don't like,
- 15:56Speaker 3: and they're ready to start a fight with you because
- 15:59Speaker 3: their opinion gets to be heard in every other medium
- 16:02Speaker 3: and venue except in an actual live room.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I think 100% you're going to see an uptick on
- 16:09Speaker 2: people walking to the stage. And when I say uptick,
- 16:11Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think it's going to last, it'll
- 16:13Speaker 2: be one of those things, but there's going to be
- 16:17Speaker 2: people coming to the stage. There is, someone is going
- 16:20Speaker 2: to get hurt. And I don't know if it's going
- 16:21Speaker 2: to be a comic or an audience member. I don't
- 16:24Speaker 2: know if it's going to translate and maybe not happen
- 16:26Speaker 2: on stage, but it happens at meet and greets. We're
- 16:29Speaker 2: so exposed at meet and greets, Heather. Like there's no
- 16:33Speaker 2: security standing there. It's a line of fucking strangers. You
- 16:38Speaker 2: don't know. It's dark too. When I say something to
- 16:40Speaker 2: somebody talking in the crowd, I don't remember what that
- 16:42Speaker 2: person looks like. But they could be in that meet
- 16:45Speaker 2: and greet line.
- 16:45Speaker 3: And they could be brewing the whole time.
- 16:47Speaker 2: The entire time.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I mean, the thing is, is that, you know, this
- 16:52Speaker 3: is where I'm always afraid of where the future's going
- 16:55Speaker 3: on all levels. It's like the haves and the have-nots. Now,
- 16:58Speaker 3: someone who's very successful can go on the road. And
- 17:00Speaker 3: even if they're playing small comedy clubs, they can hire
- 17:03Speaker 3: private security. They can have local security. They can have
- 17:07Speaker 3: security with them. And Average Comics is making a couple
- 17:10Speaker 3: grand to do four shows. The club... doesn't even have
- 17:14Speaker 3: the staff for security, you're certainly not going to be
- 17:17Speaker 3: able to afford your own security.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It's probably a papered show. So the people aren't true
- 17:24Speaker 2: fans of yours. And so if you say something, you know,
- 17:28Speaker 2: all it takes is for you to embarrass the wrong
- 17:31Speaker 2: guy sitting with his wife or girlfriend.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:34Speaker 2: When I was in Nashville, okay. Zanies years ago. Um,
- 17:38Speaker 2: I was making fun of this dude and, um, he
- 17:42Speaker 2: got up and started to walk to the stage.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And by the way, not too long ago, and I'm
- 17:47Speaker 2: not going to mention the club because they asked me
- 17:48Speaker 2: not to. And I have a video of this, but
- 17:51Speaker 2: they asked me not to post it. It was a
- 17:52Speaker 2: dude at my show who pulled a knife on a
- 17:56Speaker 2: security guard. There's no metal detector walking in. No one's
- 18:03Speaker 2: getting patted down. It is the Wild West. And you've
- 18:06Speaker 2: taken it for granted that people are just there to
- 18:08Speaker 2: have fun. but you have no idea who's sitting out there.
- 18:11Speaker 3: And the thing, what I was saying about being a
- 18:12Speaker 3: standup is like, you're completely vulnerable. You don't have a
- 18:15Speaker 3: band behind you. You don't have a co-star. You don't
- 18:18Speaker 3: have furniture, which is why, you know, why I, when
- 18:21Speaker 3: I fainted, I fell because like, if I felt, you know, faint,
- 18:24Speaker 3: I would have grabbed on someone's arm, grabbed on a
- 18:26Speaker 3: piece of furniture. When are you really just by yourself
- 18:29Speaker 3: like that? And so I also think like going back
- 18:33Speaker 3: to the, to the, you know, the situation is, I wonder, like,
- 18:37Speaker 3: was Chris like, ha ha, you know, Will's going to
- 18:39Speaker 3: come in and take the mic from me or say something.
- 18:42Speaker 3: And then I think, you know, when he was hit,
- 18:45Speaker 3: he was so shocked. And now there's a lot going
- 18:48Speaker 3: into Chris Rock's background. and people are analyzing interviews that
- 18:52Speaker 3: he's done, which are very sad. He did a Howard
- 18:56Speaker 3: Stern interview many years ago, and he talked about that
- 19:01Speaker 3: there was child abuse, there was sexual abuse in his childhood,
- 19:05Speaker 3: and he found himself in a white school where he
- 19:07Speaker 3: felt very ostracized, and he was a small kid, and
- 19:10Speaker 3: he was physically bullied and hit. And so people are like, oh,
- 19:15Speaker 3: his reaction to that. And I'm like, it's a combination
- 19:18Speaker 3: of that, but it's also the combination of being a
- 19:20Speaker 3: professional doing this business since he was a teenager, like,
- 19:23Speaker 3: and just, and also being like, okay, dude, and like,
- 19:26Speaker 3: trying to diffuse it. My question is, though, um, very
- 19:32Speaker 3: weird that, I don't know if the cameras caught it,
- 19:36Speaker 3: but if that happened, what, how is Jada as a
- 19:39Speaker 3: normal spouse? We've all seen her husband's, you have to
- 19:43Speaker 3: put your hand on your husband, or even just driving
- 19:46Speaker 3: in traffic, maybe your husband's, feet. You're like, chill out, dude. Like,
- 19:49Speaker 3: you know, whatever. Did she love this moment? What is
- 19:54Speaker 3: going on?
- 19:55Speaker 2: My personal opinion?
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 19:56Speaker 2: My personal opinion is he laughed. She didn't. He looked
- 20:01Speaker 2: at her. She gave him the Look, again, personal opinion,
- 20:05Speaker 2: I don't know them personally.
- 20:07Speaker 3: You do know them personally. You said you worked on
- 20:08Speaker 3: the show.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I did work on the show, but we've all seen
- 20:10Speaker 2: the red table talk. We've seen him emasculated. Yeah. So
- 20:16Speaker 2: you kind of have a window into what's happening at
- 20:19Speaker 2: that house.
- 20:19Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. It was cute on Oprah 12
- 20:21Speaker 3: years ago that she wore her tiny pants around the
- 20:25Speaker 3: 6'2 husband. Yeah. You know what? It's not cute anymore.
- 20:29Speaker 2: No.
- 20:29Speaker 3: It's not okay. And women and wives can be toxic too, okay?
- 20:33Speaker 3: And women can be narcissists too. It's not always the horrible.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Christmas shopping has already started in our house. My daughter
- 20:40Speaker 4: is so organized, already planning Christmas gifts from Macaulay. Hair
- 20:44Speaker 4: care for her aunt and a fab fragrance for her bestie.
- 20:47Speaker 4: But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm
- 20:50Speaker 4: an early bird, buying one present a week from now
- 20:52Speaker 4: till Christmas, which makes budgeting less stressful. I can buy
- 20:55Speaker 4: in-store or online from macaulay.ie. For home delivery or free
- 20:59Speaker 4: click and collect.
- 21:00Speaker 3: So easy.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Gifts they'll cherish at prices you'll love.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 21:09Speaker 5: you had to succeed in.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Order to feel loved? He said, I have a work dad.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I need a home dad. What happens next? When I
- 21:40Speaker 2: came in, he started crying.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 21:46Speaker 5: those hard moments that they go through.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It's about what happens next.
- 21:50Speaker 3: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 21:52Speaker 3: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 21:56Speaker 3: You can use your voice even if it shakes.
- 21:58Speaker 5: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 22:12Speaker 3: Husband.
- 22:13Speaker 2: She basically, without a doubt, what she did to him
- 22:16Speaker 2: on Red Table Talk was so like... I think it
- 22:20Speaker 2: changed everybody's view.
- 22:21Speaker 3: You mean the episode about the open marriage?
- 22:23Speaker 2: About the open marriage. She basically said he was doo-doo
- 22:27Speaker 2: stew in bed. Like, she did not... No real glowing
- 22:31Speaker 2: reviews of Will Smith's penis. You know what I mean?
- 22:34Speaker 2: And so, like... You're getting smashed and you got to
- 22:38Speaker 2: sit there and take it like a dude. Like, yep,
- 22:41Speaker 2: this is the type of open relationship we have. She
- 22:43Speaker 2: can tell everybody about my tiny dick on a live stream.
- 22:47Speaker 2: And I just sit there and be like, we got
- 22:48Speaker 2: a great marriage.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:50Speaker 2: And so now not only that, you're fucking my son's friend.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Just emasculated spot after spot after spot. So this was
- 23:02Speaker 2: in my mind. He wasn't slapping Chris. He was slapping
- 23:04Speaker 2: Jada anyways.
- 23:05Speaker 3: I was never a fan of Jada's. Because I felt
- 23:09Speaker 3: in talk shows and things, she was always so arrogant. Like,
- 23:14Speaker 3: I'm so above it. My kids are so smart. They
- 23:17Speaker 3: don't have to finish high school. They don't have to
- 23:19Speaker 3: go to school. They're so this, you know, they're so that.
- 23:21Speaker 3: And I'm not putting the kids down. They are talented kids.
- 23:24Speaker 3: I met Jaden once and he was like completely delightful.
- 23:29Speaker 3: But I mean, talk about, you know, giving a lot
- 23:31Speaker 3: handed to you and everything. I mean, off the bat.
- 23:33Speaker 3: And I just think, and then the kid wrote, that's
- 23:35Speaker 3: how we do it. Heather, here's what's crazy. Jaden tweeted that.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Here's what's crazy. First of all, That's how we do it.
- 23:42Speaker 2: That dude's never been in a fight in his life, Jaden.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Well, you trip on the skirt. He wears skirts and stuff.
- 23:48Speaker 3: It's all good.
- 23:49Speaker 2: It's all fine.
- 23:50Speaker 3: But my kids have never been in a fight. Let's
- 23:52Speaker 3: talk about the fact that kids of a certain age
- 23:56Speaker 3: and where they grew up, my sons have never been
- 23:59Speaker 3: in a fight because fights just don't happen in their
- 24:04Speaker 3: environment and they shouldn't be fighting.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Look at Will's open-handed... falling backwards, slap. He's never been
- 24:12Speaker 2: in a fight either, except in a movie. Like this
- 24:15Speaker 2: is not, this is a dude who was already, he
- 24:17Speaker 2: swung on a guy who was six inches smaller, probably
- 24:21Speaker 2: 80 pounds lighter, whose hands were behind his back.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:25Speaker 2: He was standing like this the whole time.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 2: And Will was so unsure of what he was, he
- 24:32Speaker 2: barely knocked him off his spot. Like it just seemed
- 24:35Speaker 2: like two dudes who were just, this is not a
- 24:37Speaker 2: normal situation for either one of these guys. I will
- 24:39Speaker 2: tell you, I felt sad for Will Smith. I'm not
- 24:43Speaker 2: angry at him. I'm not one of those dudes who's like,
- 24:44Speaker 2: his Oscar needs to be taken. If you're taking his,
- 24:47Speaker 2: you better take Woody Allen's.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:49Speaker 2: And you better take Roman Polanski's.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 24:51Speaker 2: If we're going down the line, you know what I mean?
- 24:53Speaker 2: So I don't think, and I don't think this makes
- 24:55Speaker 2: him a bad guy.
- 24:55Speaker 3: But I do think, you know, he should have been removed.
- 25:02Speaker 2: 100%.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Should have been removed. 100%. And if they still wanted
- 25:05Speaker 3: to have him win the award, then he could have
- 25:07Speaker 3: that moment to apologize. I agree. But he should have
- 25:09Speaker 3: been in a room just like anybody else at a
- 25:11Speaker 3: comedy club. But I just think, in defense, I just
- 25:15Speaker 3: don't even think they knew how to react. I don't
- 25:17Speaker 3: know what they were thinking. They knew that he was
- 25:19Speaker 3: going to win. And, you know, yeah. But the rumors
- 25:24Speaker 3: are flying. The rumors are also flying. Was this beef
- 25:28Speaker 3: about them because Chris and Jada had an affair? What? Now,
- 25:34Speaker 3: these are just blogs coming out, and these are rumors, right?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Um oh maybe that's what chris was gonna say you
- 25:40Speaker 2: know what you should have hit me when i fucked
- 25:41Speaker 2: your wife i.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Think he wanted to say something like that or what
- 25:46Speaker 3: you know well there's a lot of you know a
- 25:48Speaker 3: lot of things other parts of your wife that's been
- 25:50Speaker 3: in my mouth um but the rumor the rumor i
- 25:56Speaker 3: don't think is that strong it's just that they worked
- 25:58Speaker 3: jada and chris worked on um Madagascar, which is cartoon,
- 26:04Speaker 3: which the greatest thing about doing a voiceover is that
- 26:07Speaker 3: you don't even have to be in the same room
- 26:09Speaker 3: with the person.
- 26:09Speaker 2: And you show up in sweats.
- 26:10Speaker 3: And they're like, and in the article, it's like, well,
- 26:12Speaker 3: they had great chemistry. I'm like, as cartoon characters? It
- 26:16Speaker 3: wasn't like they were in a movie about having an
- 26:19Speaker 3: affair or something.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And a lot of times they're not even in the
- 26:23Speaker 2: same room doing their lines. You know what I mean?
- 26:25Speaker 2: You just say your line and another line. You're not
- 26:27Speaker 2: actually doing it with the other people.
- 26:29Speaker 3: The other joke was from 2016. Chris Rock said, Jada...
- 26:32Speaker 3: It was a great joke. Jada, yeah. And it was...
- 26:36Speaker 3: That's like me not... Something about Rihanna's panties.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I wasn't invited to that either.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I wasn't invited to Rihanna's panties either. She wouldn't be invited.
- 26:43Speaker 3: She wouldn't be invited. I do think there's been a
- 26:47Speaker 3: jealousy about Jada's career with Will because that's another rumor
- 26:52Speaker 3: that came out is that when they started, yeah, he
- 26:56Speaker 3: had Fresh Prince, but she was like a guest star.
- 27:00Speaker 3: And she's had a decent career, but is there a
- 27:04Speaker 3: movie that you're like, when Jada Pinkett was in this part,
- 27:07Speaker 3: I remember her having... A small part in the Tiffany
- 27:09Speaker 3: Haddish Girls Night. She's gotten thrown a few little things.
- 27:14Speaker 3: She's not hilarious. She's not a strong actress. She didn't
- 27:17Speaker 3: have a great sitcom where she was the star of it.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I couldn't have.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Named one thing that she was in, actually.
- 27:24Speaker 3: No, there isn't.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Not that I think about it.
- 27:25Speaker 3: She is best known to be Will's wife and to
- 27:29Speaker 3: be this couple goals.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I will say, when they walked the red carpet, I
- 27:35Speaker 2: remember saying to Beth, my wife to whoever's doesn't know.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I remember saying, yo, she looks amazing. I love, I love,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and I didn't know about the disease either. I said
- 27:46Speaker 2: that too.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I was like, women are rocking like, like shaved heads.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I really looked like she was in shape.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I was like in her eyes. I was like, she
- 27:53Speaker 2: looks gorgeous. And so that joke, when you break it down,
- 27:59Speaker 2: even he was basically saying, Hey, you buff. Good looking girl,
- 28:03Speaker 2: woman in the front row.
- 28:04Speaker 3: It's a positive.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Yo, if you look at Demi Moore in G.I. Jane,
- 28:08Speaker 2: she was jacked and gorgeous.
- 28:10Speaker 3: And also her dress.
- 28:11Speaker 2: What are we talking about?
- 28:11Speaker 3: It was green. It was green. Like army green. Yeah.
- 28:14Speaker 2: What the fuck are we talking about?
- 28:16Speaker 3: Right, exactly.
- 28:17Speaker 2: So crazy to me.
- 28:19Speaker 3: And I just watched something that she did within the
- 28:22Speaker 3: last couple weeks where she talks about how, Her hair
- 28:26Speaker 3: was a burden. Every casting director wanted it to be
- 28:29Speaker 3: either curly or straight or she had to blow it
- 28:31Speaker 3: or she had to do this or that. And now
- 28:33Speaker 3: she doesn't have it anymore and she doesn't give a
- 28:34Speaker 3: fuck what anyone says. So if anything, she could have
- 28:38Speaker 3: been like, yeah, sign me up. I'd finally get a
- 28:41Speaker 3: lead in a movie.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:42Speaker 3: You know what? I will tell you.
- 28:43Speaker 2: So she feels like somebody to me who feels like
- 28:46Speaker 2: she's above comedians. Dance around clown.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:51Speaker 2: That's what she feels like. But let me ask you
- 28:53Speaker 2: a question.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Oh, you also know that Chris Rock, one of his
- 28:56Speaker 3: bucket list things when he turned 50. Also, I love
- 28:58Speaker 3: it when people's bucket list is to do stand up. Yeah.
- 29:01Speaker 3: As if it's just something you just can't get up
- 29:03Speaker 3: and do once.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 3: So his bucket list was to do stand up. Someone
- 29:06Speaker 3: sent me a video. Of course, he's got a gorgeous crowd. Will.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember that.
- 29:10Speaker 3: So he did it. Not funny.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Neil Brennan, I think, wrote that set.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Well, one of the jokes was, and one of the
- 29:15Speaker 3: other things I want to do is fuck Kathy Griffin.
- 29:17Speaker 3: And someone wrote like, wow, I wonder how Kathy Griffin's
- 29:20Speaker 3: husband feels about that joke. Yeah.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Like, By the way, there's a.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Joke of him making fun of a bald guy on Arsenio.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Complete hypocrisy. But I think we can also say he's
- 29:31Speaker 3: not right. Here's what I would say. Maybe because of
- 29:34Speaker 3: being in this awful marriage. Maybe it's always been brewing.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Maybe he hasn't faced his sexuality. There's rumors about his sexuality.
- 29:42Speaker 2: There was when I was on that show.
- 29:43Speaker 3: And there has always been. Yeah.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Yes.
- 29:46Speaker 2: And I think you and I feel the same way,
- 29:47Speaker 2: and Beth and I were talking about this.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Open marriages.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yo, I know people go into them with good intention,
- 29:54Speaker 2: but that shit's got a shelf life. Don't you think?
- 29:57Speaker 2: Like maybe it works when people are in their 20s
- 30:00Speaker 2: or 30s, but you're a 50-year-old person and your spouse
- 30:04Speaker 2: is like, hey, I'm not going to fuck you, but
- 30:05Speaker 2: that 20-year-old looks good. I don't think you can ever.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Like that guy's ego, I'm the head of Hollywood. I
- 30:13Speaker 2: am untouchable literally by my wife who also only fucks
- 30:17Speaker 2: young dudes. Like it's got to mess with your head.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Can you imagine in your life an open marriage working?
- 30:26Speaker 2: Not for me.
- 30:27Speaker 3: But there has been one thing that I thought that
- 30:31Speaker 3: I've been trying to, that I've mentioned that I thought
- 30:33Speaker 3: this is the only way I could work. Okay. You
- 30:36Speaker 3: know how Mormons go on like a two-year mission?
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:43Speaker 3: If this became a standard in marriage, that on year,
- 30:47Speaker 3: I mean, provided you don't have kids, but let's say
- 30:51Speaker 3: childless kids, people, whatever, on a certain year, And everybody
- 30:54Speaker 3: does it where you're like, oh, you're coming up on
- 30:56Speaker 3: your 11th year or whatever. You're coming on your. Yeah.
- 30:59Speaker 3: So where are you going to do your sabbatical? Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I'm going to Spain.
- 31:04Speaker 3: He's going here. And you go do your thing for
- 31:07Speaker 3: two years and then you come back.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I love that.
- 31:09Speaker 3: And it's like no questions asked or maybe we don't
- 31:12Speaker 3: want to say it. But the point is you get
- 31:14Speaker 3: you get to have some new experiences. But you come
- 31:17Speaker 3: back to the person that you committed to life. But
- 31:19Speaker 3: you aren't on a day-to-day where they know that you're
- 31:23Speaker 3: only screwing during that sabbatical, not anywhere you go it
- 31:27Speaker 3: could happen.
- 31:27Speaker 2: And there has to be a rule, no fucking your
- 31:30Speaker 2: kids' friends.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 31:32Speaker 2: That has to be. It's got to be called like
- 31:34Speaker 2: the Woody Allen rule.
- 31:37Speaker 3: I mean, it's just, yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I mean, it is.
- 31:39Speaker 3: I mean, that's what really bothers me because as a
- 31:42Speaker 3: mom of boys and a stepmother and she She met
- 31:47Speaker 3: the stepson when the stepson was like four. She's been
- 31:51Speaker 3: in that child's life. And also, I felt really bad
- 31:55Speaker 3: for the boy of August, whatever his name is, who's
- 31:58Speaker 3: a successful guy, but still, why I'm not for older
- 32:02Speaker 3: men preying on young women and why I'm not for
- 32:05Speaker 3: older women preying on young men, whether they're over 18
- 32:07Speaker 3: or not, it's because if it's one of... That sexual
- 32:11Speaker 3: relationship can be very... Such a power dynamic if the
- 32:16Speaker 3: younger person is not experienced.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 32:18Speaker 3: And not mentally mature.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:20Speaker 3: So he gets with this woman who she is smart. Okay. And,
- 32:24Speaker 3: you know, and all this and probably fell in love.
- 32:29Speaker 3: And then she broke his heart. And mentally, I don't
- 32:32Speaker 3: think he was right. And that's why he shared it.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I agree.
- 32:35Speaker 3: It screwed him up.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I will say, this, like everything else, has a ton
- 32:41Speaker 2: of gray area. So for Jada, honestly, I love that.
- 32:46Speaker 2: I've watched a couple of those Red Table talks. And
- 32:48Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, she's really good at this. Because she's
- 32:50Speaker 2: so direct and so pointed in her comments. And she's
- 32:54Speaker 2: smart and articulate. This thing with Will, man, he's a
- 32:59Speaker 2: good dude. But you think about how he treats people
- 33:02Speaker 2: and the amount of money he's put in charity. Everybody's
- 33:04Speaker 2: got their breaking point.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:06Speaker 2: But, like, I really don't know how– what happens with
- 33:12Speaker 2: his career. Like, do you think the roles roll in?
- 33:15Speaker 2: Do you think people are like, nah. Do you think
- 33:18Speaker 2: he's going to have to do self-funded stuff?
- 33:21Speaker 3: No, listen. Everybody will be forgiven. But you need to
- 33:26Speaker 3: go away for a while.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:28Speaker 3: And then you do either an Oprah interview in Santa
- 33:32Speaker 3: Barbara or you.
- 33:34Speaker 2: You're in a Quentin Tarantino movie for eight minutes.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Or you do a little documentary type of thing. You
- 33:40Speaker 3: have a moment where you really come to it. And
- 33:43Speaker 3: I think the moment might be that they break up.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Wow.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Like in a couple years. Like they're gone their separate ways.
- 33:53Speaker 3: And he's either living his truth, whatever that might be.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:57Speaker 3: By himself with someone else. with someone of the same
- 34:00Speaker 3: sex i don't know if you're and whatever and then
- 34:03Speaker 3: we forgive him because then we go that's why he
- 34:06Speaker 3: was being weird yeah because he wasn't being authentic he
- 34:09Speaker 3: was hiding a secret he wasn't you know do you.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Think so so many questions about the comedy part of
- 34:15Speaker 2: this for me do you think chris ignores it do
- 34:19Speaker 2: you think he does writes five or seven minutes on
- 34:22Speaker 2: stage and takes it on the tour. Do you think
- 34:24Speaker 2: he lays into Will and Jada more? Because honestly, I thought, I.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Think if it had been Chappelle. He has a show tonight, right?
- 34:32Speaker 3: So we're going to know tonight what he says.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but, so for me, Chappelle would have, for me
- 34:38Speaker 2: if it was Chappelle, I don't know, man. Like I
- 34:41Speaker 2: go back and forth, like other comics I think wouldn't
- 34:43Speaker 2: have been a professional and they would have just started
- 34:46Speaker 2: laying into him.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Well, I think if you want me to predict what
- 34:49Speaker 3: he'll say tonight, if his show is tonight or tomorrow,
- 34:51Speaker 3: I'm not sure in Boston. It will be that he
- 34:54Speaker 3: comes out and he absolutely addresses it with whatever he feels,
- 35:01Speaker 3: wants to do, but is funny for like maybe five
- 35:05Speaker 3: minutes and then goes into what he's been working on
- 35:09Speaker 3: for a year.
- 35:10Speaker 2: They should let him host the Oscars next year. A
- 35:12Speaker 2: hundred percent.
- 35:13Speaker 3: I'm sure they will.
- 35:14Speaker 2: They should be offering him.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Yeah, but he may not want to. I don't know.
- 35:17Speaker 3: This could be– I don't know. We'll see.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I think he will. I think he will. I think
- 35:21Speaker 2: he'll do a bunch of jokes about it. I think
- 35:23Speaker 2: he– they'll do a sketch next year, he and Will. Right.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I think they'll lean into it to just make all
- 35:31Speaker 2: the jokes and then just get it out.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Of the way. So I was watching this and I–
- 35:36Speaker 3: you know, this whole thing, and I remembered something unbelievable.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I have only been slapped in the face once in
- 35:44Speaker 3: my entire life, I'm proud to say. I'm lucky to say. Yeah.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Because I know a lot of people can't say that.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 3: And it was caught by complete surprise and on camera.
- 35:56Speaker 2: When?
- 35:57Speaker 3: Chelsea Lately. So they told me, okay, the producer.
- 36:03Speaker 2: What season?
- 36:04Speaker 3: I don't know the season.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Which studio are we at?
- 36:07Speaker 3: If someone can find this, please find it and send
- 36:10Speaker 3: it because- I definitely never watched it. So we were
- 36:14Speaker 3: at this studio at Universal. Okay. Because I'm remembering like
- 36:19Speaker 3: the steps where I was. You know what? I don't
- 36:23Speaker 3: know because the writers room was always, the writers were
- 36:25Speaker 3: always above the stage. So I remember, I'm pretty sure
- 36:29Speaker 3: it was Universal.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 36:32Speaker 3: So towards the end of the run. And they just
- 36:35Speaker 3: were like, okay, so in this cold open, you're going
- 36:37Speaker 3: to come down and stand where the cold open is.
- 36:41Speaker 3: with Chewy and you're going to say this dumb line
- 36:44Speaker 3: or whatever. Okay. You know, I say the dumb line
- 36:48Speaker 3: or whatever it is. And I, I guess I had
- 36:51Speaker 3: to come down or something. So he's at my level.
- 36:54Speaker 3: And I say something like dah, dah, dah, dah, dah.
- 36:57Speaker 3: And Chewy opened hand smacks my face.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I vaguely remember that.
- 37:06Speaker 3: And then that was it. And then I was done
- 37:09Speaker 3: and I was just like shocked and like it hurt.
- 37:13Speaker 3: And I go upstairs to where all the writers are.
- 37:17Speaker 3: They would always watch in like Jen and Chris's room, right?
- 37:21Speaker 3: I go to that room and I remember Chris exactly
- 37:23Speaker 3: where he was. And he's sitting in the chair and
- 37:27Speaker 3: I walk in and everybody– because they didn't know this
- 37:30Speaker 3: joke was happening either– And they were looked at me
- 37:34Speaker 3: and like, I remember Chris was like, that was not okay. Like,
- 37:37Speaker 3: I'm going to cry. Like, it was so, that's why
- 37:41Speaker 3: I'm saying like I have such a feeling for Chris
- 37:43Speaker 3: because it's like you didn't know and you're like, it
- 37:46Speaker 3: just takes you a minute. And then when you get
- 37:48Speaker 3: the love that like he's getting, like I'm telling you,
- 37:50Speaker 3: he's probably been going through it for three days, Chris.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Because sometimes it's the love that you get that almost
- 37:57Speaker 3: brings on the tears and the emotion. Because then you
- 38:00Speaker 3: realize how awful it was. And they were just like,
- 38:03Speaker 3: they were horrified. It's wrong. I burst into tears and everything.
- 38:08Speaker 3: And then I come, you know, and so I'm telling
- 38:10Speaker 3: Peter the story and Annie's like, did you remember that?
- 38:14Speaker 3: And he goes, No. He's like, there's no way you
- 38:17Speaker 3: would have told me that. I go, yeah, I wouldn't
- 38:20Speaker 3: have told you because you might have gotten pissed and
- 38:23Speaker 3: I didn't want to lose my job. And he's like,
- 38:25Speaker 3: what about NBC Universal? I go, I don't even know
- 38:27Speaker 3: if they ever watched our shows, but they certainly weren't
- 38:29Speaker 3: going to tell Chelsea what she couldn't do. And they
- 38:31Speaker 3: certainly didn't care about me. And it was also a
- 38:34Speaker 3: different time. And I think we are a much more
- 38:36Speaker 3: sensitive society than we were eight, nine years ago.
- 38:39Speaker 2: I felt.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Empathy for Chewy. I thought it was disgusting that they
- 38:44Speaker 3: made him hit me. He would have never done it
- 38:48Speaker 3: on his own, and he wouldn't have.
- 38:50Speaker 2: That was not his.
- 38:51Speaker 3: No.
- 38:52Speaker 5: No.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I mean, he would do anything they tell him to do. He's,
- 38:55Speaker 3: you know, an immigrant on a TV show. He's a
- 38:57Speaker 3: little person. This was it.
- 38:59Speaker 2: And, you know, I mean, there was that.
- 39:00Speaker 3: There were opportunities. And when the show ended, there weren't
- 39:02Speaker 3: opportunities for him, you know? So, like, he was smart
- 39:05Speaker 3: enough to know, like, I'm not going to rock this boat.
- 39:08Speaker 3: And I was smart enough to know... I wasn't going
- 39:10Speaker 3: to rock the boat either. And I just, I was like, wow, that,
- 39:14Speaker 3: that was such, I never went up to our executive
- 39:16Speaker 3: producers and was like, what the hell? No one ever
- 39:18Speaker 3: apologized to me. Like that was just what somebody decided
- 39:24Speaker 3: at the top, Chelsea or the executive producer decided this
- 39:27Speaker 3: is funny. And nobody thought like, wait, we're going to have, like,
- 39:31Speaker 3: a man smack a woman on stage. And, like, but
- 39:36Speaker 3: I also think, like, even Will in that moment, I don't,
- 39:42Speaker 3: you know, definitely don't think he thought it through of, like,
- 39:45Speaker 3: you're hitting another vulnerable person. You're hitting another person. man,
- 39:48Speaker 3: you're hitting another black man. I don't think he thought
- 39:51Speaker 3: of any of the... But still, his was in a
- 39:55Speaker 3: moment and this was written out and the director knew
- 39:57Speaker 3: it was happening at Chelsea lately and everything.
- 39:59Speaker 2: If they had asked you about it, would you have
- 40:01Speaker 2: said okay? And would that have made a difference? If
- 40:04Speaker 2: they had been like, hey, this is the joke. We're
- 40:07Speaker 2: going to have Chewie slap you in the face. Are
- 40:10Speaker 2: you okay with that?
- 40:12Speaker 3: I mean... If I knew it was like a set
- 40:17Speaker 3: bit and maybe I'm like, if it was light, it
- 40:20Speaker 3: just was so hard.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Part of it also is.
- 40:24Speaker 3: But still, it's such a surprise.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Violated.
- 40:26Speaker 3: So I don't think... You know, honestly, maybe I would
- 40:30Speaker 3: have said yes. I never said no once on that show.
- 40:33Speaker 2: None of us ever said no on that show.
- 40:34Speaker 3: I never said no and I, you know... But I
- 40:38Speaker 3: definitely was not asked.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Heather.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Because I remember how shocked I was and I remember
- 40:41Speaker 3: how shocked everybody else was. And that is my memory...
- 40:46Speaker 3: you know, my memory is pretty good. If, if there,
- 40:48Speaker 3: if someone remembers that they did ask me, I don't know.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Chewy's gone, but no, the shock of the smack and everything.
- 40:56Speaker 3: And I know I didn't watch it that night. Like
- 40:58Speaker 3: I purposely didn't want to watch it back. And, but
- 41:02Speaker 3: you know, there was a time there was three stooges.
- 41:03Speaker 3: I mean, there was a time where people hit each
- 41:05Speaker 3: other and there was a time where like people did
- 41:08Speaker 3: surprise smack people like in the Oscars and stuff in
- 41:12Speaker 3: the past. So it's like, but yeah, You know, this
- 41:15Speaker 3: was just a lot.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Listen, we are all so lucky that E! Universal has
- 41:23Speaker 2: decided not to put any of that shit on YouTube
- 41:27Speaker 2: because we would all be in trouble. The shit that
- 41:31Speaker 2: we did on that show just eight years ago.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Yeah. And this being one of them. This being one
- 41:36Speaker 3: of them is not cool to have somebody hit a woman.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Leave me alone? we not only did we do that
- 41:46Speaker 2: I mean like it's so crazy what happened on that.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Show because of the and social media too but there
- 41:53Speaker 3: were a couple other things I want to talk about
- 41:55Speaker 3: Tony's my that's my buddy Tony. Oh, what I want
- 41:59Speaker 3: to talk about. So what about the Will and Jada
- 42:00Speaker 3: show that you worked on? What was your opinion of
- 42:02Speaker 3: them as a couple? Because they were not featured in it.
- 42:04Speaker 3: They were executive producers, right? It was a scripted show
- 42:07Speaker 3: about their life, about a blended family.
- 42:12Speaker 2: What I got from it is that she was in charge.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Without a doubt, she had somebody on, just one of
- 42:20Speaker 2: her friends on the writing staff. Just Yeah.
- 42:24Speaker 3: No writing. Yeah.
- 42:24Speaker 2: No, no, no. Just one of her friends.
- 42:27Speaker 3: And how would that person write? Just throw it out ideas?
- 42:29Speaker 3: Or were they... Obviously, they weren't going off for two
- 42:31Speaker 3: weeks to write a full episode.
- 42:33Speaker 2: I think that person was really there just so... To
- 42:39Speaker 2: be the spy? Yeah. Just so Jada knew what was happening.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Who was up and who's saying anything.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I will tell you, like,
- 42:46Speaker 2: their dynamic was very interesting. And the dynamic with the
- 42:50Speaker 2: kids was very interesting.
- 42:51Speaker 5: Like, I.
- 42:52Speaker 2: I'm not above, like you raise your kid how you
- 42:54Speaker 2: want to raise your kid.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 42:55Speaker 2: But it was just way different than anything that I. Why?
- 42:59Speaker 3: What was the difference?
- 43:01Speaker 2: I think the way they allow, they raised, so I'm not.
- 43:04Speaker 3: They've talked about it.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm not somebody who.
- 43:07Speaker 3: They're like, we don't scold them. Yeah. We let them,
- 43:09Speaker 3: you know.
- 43:09Speaker 2: I don't agree with that.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Like literally, I think Jaden said like, I don't read books,
- 43:13Speaker 3: but I might write one. I mean, just things like
- 43:15Speaker 3: that where you're like, okay.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Your eight year old.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Should not be addressing adults in my mind.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Yeah. But they always treated their kids, not like kids,
- 43:23Speaker 2: like adults.
- 43:24Speaker 3: Well, that's a Scientology thing too.
- 43:26Speaker 2: So like it was always– so that was– and I
- 43:30Speaker 2: don't know these– I don't know them now. They could
- 43:31Speaker 2: be great kids. It was not my cup of tea
- 43:34Speaker 2: to have an eight-year-old talking to me like that. So
- 43:37Speaker 2: I always kind of avoided this.
- 43:39Speaker 3: What would they say to you?
- 43:39Speaker 2: Just they would talk to you like– he called people Mr.
- 43:44Speaker 2: and Mrs.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Your son.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry. Jacob called people Mr. and Mrs., There
- 43:48Speaker 2: is a certain level of respect.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Right.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you're a kid. And I'll tell you straight up,
- 43:52Speaker 2: you're a kid. You're not like a human. You're a child. Yeah.
- 43:55Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like you haven't hit the–
- 43:56Speaker 2: you're human obviously.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 43:57Speaker 2: But like I'm not treating you like an adult and
- 44:00Speaker 2: you don't get to talk to me like I'm just
- 44:03Speaker 2: one of your buddies. That's just not the way I
- 44:05Speaker 2: get down. But their kids seem very evolved I guess.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Like I don't– again.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I'm not going to tell somebody how to raise their kids.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I wouldn't want somebody to tell me how to raise mine.
- 44:15Speaker 2: But it was very clear. There were all the rumors
- 44:17Speaker 2: about Will and his sexuality. I'm not sure I ever
- 44:21Speaker 2: bought into that. And I will tell you this, man.
- 44:24Speaker 2: That dude came to the set and shook every hand,
- 44:29Speaker 2: said hello to everybody, took every picture. The only person
- 44:32Speaker 2: that didn't take a picture with him, actually, was Jacob.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Will asked, do you want a picture? And he was like, no.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Just because you were a little kid.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a little kid. He didn't even know
- 44:42Speaker 2: who he was. He was like, yeah, I don't want
- 44:43Speaker 2: a picture with you. I don't know. I don't know
- 44:45Speaker 2: who you are.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Right. No, I mean, I think, I think he's always
- 44:48Speaker 3: been so well liked and has such a great reputation.
- 44:51Speaker 3: That's another thing that like, is like very shocking to
- 44:54Speaker 3: the world.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Um, uh, okay. So then, okay, well, we see that
- 45:00Speaker 3: he's at his shows.
- 45:01Speaker 2: So this was.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Interesting that Tiffany Haddish called Will Smith slapping Chris Rock,
- 45:07Speaker 3: the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I, And, you know,
- 45:12Speaker 3: Tiffany is a black female comedian. She is friends with Jada.
- 45:16Speaker 3: They did Girls Trip together. I assume they're friends. I
- 45:20Speaker 3: would say to Tiffany, I don't know when you gave
- 45:23Speaker 3: this statement, but you didn't think it through because as
- 45:26Speaker 3: a comic. I think that your top priority should be
- 45:33Speaker 3: thinking about the point of view of the comic in
- 45:36Speaker 3: this situation, not the woman, not the man, not the
- 45:38Speaker 3: audience member, the comic, because that's what, that's what you are.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I think I go back to, yo, when somebody says
- 45:47Speaker 2: words and your reaction is violence.
- 45:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:51Speaker 2: That that's wrong. I am somebody who would stick up.
- 45:55Speaker 2: for my wife if i felt like she needed sticking
- 45:57Speaker 2: up for right but again the way he did it
- 46:01Speaker 2: was not what grown people do that was a dude
- 46:04Speaker 2: who's been it pushed into a corner and weak and
- 46:07Speaker 2: feels like he needs a public display to show everybody
- 46:11Speaker 2: what type of man he is but a man goes
- 46:14Speaker 2: backstage and goes well exactly.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Well it's like there's one thing to defend your woman
- 46:17Speaker 3: when you know somebody on the streets attacking her or whatever. But,
- 46:21Speaker 3: you know, when you're in a full ball gown, no
- 46:23Speaker 3: one could even get to her if they wanted.
- 46:24Speaker 2: It was enormous.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Like, she was definitely safe.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Watching her get down that red carpet, that thing was heavy.
- 46:30Speaker 3: But, yeah, I mean, to say the most beautiful thing,
- 46:32Speaker 3: I mean, Tiffany, don't agree.
- 46:34Speaker 2: I don't agree either. Don't agree.
- 46:36Speaker 3: But wait, I wanted to also get to.
- 46:38Speaker 2: By the way, Jada looks so good in that. Gorgeous.
- 46:43Speaker 3: So this was interesting. This came out yesterday. Amy Schumer's
- 46:48Speaker 3: joke on Leonardo DiCaprio at Oscars from this Oscars was stolen,
- 46:54Speaker 3: they're saying. There was a tweet that came out in 2021.
- 46:59Speaker 3: It was December 23rd, 2021, by this girl. Her Twitter
- 47:04Speaker 3: name is PJORK, Nicole Conlon. She wrote, Leonardo DiCaprio is
- 47:11Speaker 3: so passionate about climate change because he wants to leave
- 47:14Speaker 3: a better world for his girlfriends. So Amy's, I should
- 47:17Speaker 3: have read Amy's joke, but Amy's joke was basically the
- 47:20Speaker 3: same thing. However, doesn't mean that Amy wrote it. Doesn't
- 47:25Speaker 3: mean that, you know, hey, you're in a writer's room
- 47:28Speaker 3: and you could have read that tweet and you could have,
- 47:32Speaker 3: it could have gone in your head and could have,
- 47:34Speaker 3: you know, it could have come out. Also, since this
- 47:37Speaker 3: article came out, there was another tweet even prior to
- 47:41Speaker 3: it that was very similar to that girl's tweet.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Also, it's an easy joke.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 47:47Speaker 2: It's an E. If I were in the writer's room,
- 47:49Speaker 2: I promise you someone's going to have a joke similar
- 47:53Speaker 2: to that. Once you start guys, the way the writer's
- 47:55Speaker 2: room works is so Heather tells, says a joke and
- 47:57Speaker 2: people just start changing it or maybe tagging it. You're
- 48:02Speaker 2: going to end up with a, this is an easy
- 48:04Speaker 2: Leo joke to me. You know what it is? It's
- 48:07Speaker 2: like the, you know, a couple of years ago and
- 48:09Speaker 2: Carlos Mencia did still jokes, but a couple of years
- 48:11Speaker 2: ago there was that whole thing with him and Joe
- 48:13Speaker 2: Rogan and Ari Shaffir and, And they were like, he
- 48:16Speaker 2: stole Ari's joke because the joke was super similar.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:19Speaker 2: But also it turns out a gazillion comics had similar
- 48:22Speaker 2: jokes because it was an easy joke. Like there's only
- 48:25Speaker 2: so many ideas and there's so many of us writing
- 48:28Speaker 2: jokes out there. Do you know what I mean?
- 48:29Speaker 3: But also I just think sometimes writers, you know, are
- 48:32Speaker 3: kind of lazy and they keep it to themselves. And
- 48:35Speaker 3: there was a whole chapter in Jay Moore's book many
- 48:38Speaker 3: years ago that I read that he was completely honest
- 48:41Speaker 3: about of how he– was doing standup and he was
- 48:45Speaker 3: on SNL or he saw standup do something and he
- 48:48Speaker 3: stole it and he admitted to stealing it. And he admitted,
- 48:51Speaker 3: and it was really, it was really over. It was,
- 48:53Speaker 3: what do you, do you remember more about it? Cause
- 48:55Speaker 3: I just remember reading about it and being like, I,
- 48:58Speaker 3: I love that he was honest and the vulnerability and like,
- 49:02Speaker 3: this is what happened. And I knew it was wrong,
- 49:04Speaker 3: but I was like, Oh, well, you know? And, and
- 49:07Speaker 3: so sometimes with being accused of, and Amy has, um,
- 49:11Speaker 3: You know, I'm like, well, who was around her? Because
- 49:13Speaker 3: when I was, my first writing joke was Keenan Everwaynes
- 49:15Speaker 3: and he'd come up with some funny thing and the
- 49:18Speaker 3: writers would be like, Joe, so-and-so does that in his act.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Keenan was like, really? Okay, well, then I'm not going
- 49:24Speaker 3: to use it. Because similar people come up with things.
- 49:27Speaker 3: Keenan wasn't trying to steal that person's joke. Keenan never
- 49:29Speaker 3: saw that in the club. We saw it in the
- 49:30Speaker 3: club and it was our job.
- 49:32Speaker 2: That's right.
- 49:33Speaker 3: To make sure that he doesn't do someone else's joke
- 49:35Speaker 3: and look like he stole a joke.
- 49:37Speaker 1: 100%.
- 49:37Speaker 3: So if I was Amy Schumer right now, I'd be
- 49:39Speaker 3: kind of pissed at whoever handed me that joke.
- 49:42Speaker 2: There's no doubt that there's an entire writer's room coming
- 49:46Speaker 2: up with this stuff. I've always been like, do you
- 49:49Speaker 2: ever write something and be like, wait a second, this
- 49:51Speaker 2: is too funny and it came too easy. Have you
- 49:55Speaker 2: ever Googled it and been like, that's why I knew,
- 49:57Speaker 2: that's why it was funny this quick because somebody, I
- 50:00Speaker 2: heard it somewhere. Like, there are times where I'm like,
- 50:03Speaker 2: wait a second.
- 50:03Speaker 3: I've never Googled it, but I've done stuff where then
- 50:06Speaker 3: I've seen other people do too much stuff. And then
- 50:09Speaker 3: I kind of go, maybe this is a little hacky.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Do you ever.
- 50:12Speaker 3: And then I just kind of stop doing it. Even
- 50:13Speaker 3: though I believe I was the first person and probably
- 50:16Speaker 3: put it in other people's minds, I'm like, I'm okay
- 50:18Speaker 3: to release it.
- 50:19Speaker 2: I do the same thing, too. You know what my
- 50:20Speaker 2: theory is? My theory is basically, yo, if I think
- 50:23Speaker 2: this is the last joke I'm going to write, I
- 50:25Speaker 2: should quit.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:26Speaker 2: So, have it. Take it. Whatever. Whatever. But, like... These
- 50:32Speaker 2: are easy topics.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 50:34Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Now, Jacob went to kindergarten
- 50:38Speaker 2: with Leo's current girlfriend. So, like, we... Your son, yeah. Yeah,
- 50:45Speaker 2: and her mom dates Al Pacino.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 3: What a similar type. Always dating.
- 50:54Speaker 2: By the way, when Pacino.
- 50:55Speaker 3: When.
- 50:55Speaker 2: They came out on the Oscars.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Wait, was Al Pacino... No, it's Robert De Niro who
- 51:00Speaker 3: is married to his wife for a long time and
- 51:01Speaker 3: now they're going through an ugly divorce. Al Pacino, I guess,
- 51:04Speaker 3: is single. Robert De Niro is married to someone for
- 51:06Speaker 3: a really long time and now they're getting divorced.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Pacino is dating, I think her name is Lucila or Camilla? Lucila.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Lucila is Camilla's... Lucila is the young woman's mom. She's
- 51:19Speaker 2: dating Pacino. Did you see Pacino on the Oscars?
- 51:22Speaker 3: No, I didn't watch the Oscars. I was performing in Brea.
- 51:25Speaker 2: When he came out, I was like, oh no. Oh, no.
- 51:30Speaker 3: People age. I know.
- 51:32Speaker 2: But when him and Coppola and De Niro came out,
- 51:35Speaker 2: I was like, this is not a good... You know
- 51:38Speaker 2: what the Chris Rock Will Smith thing covered up? That
- 51:41Speaker 2: they wheeled out like 1,200-year-old people to read lines off
- 51:46Speaker 2: the prompter. That Liza Minnelli thing was the most cringeworthy.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Oh, yes. I saw that.
- 51:51Speaker 2: I was like, come on, man. What are we doing?
- 51:53Speaker 2: And then when you had, you know, it was like
- 51:57Speaker 2: between Coppola and Pacino and De Niro, there was so
- 52:01Speaker 2: much shaking up there. It looked like they were doing
- 52:03Speaker 2: some weird dance. Like it was not, it was like
- 52:07Speaker 2: the old, it covered up a lot of holes in
- 52:10Speaker 2: that entire broadcast. Yeah. I feel bad for the other
- 52:13Speaker 2: people that won. You know, Beth and I, when the
- 52:15Speaker 2: broadcast ended, I was like, did they do best director?
- 52:18Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't remember. It's all you could think about.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:22Speaker 2: I got to tell you, I, if someone, I think
- 52:26Speaker 2: I might ask for a security bump by the front
- 52:28Speaker 2: of the stage for my shows. I think I might.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Just have someone sit there.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Well, you know what though? Unfortunately you can do that,
- 52:37Speaker 3: but it might come out of your pay at the
- 52:39Speaker 3: end because not every club can afford to have extra security.
- 52:43Speaker 3: You might want to ask before we'll ask, are you
- 52:45Speaker 3: still with Silvio?
- 52:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:50Speaker 3: You know, I have to say, Oh, I was at
- 52:52Speaker 3: Chicago city winery and it was like two years ago
- 52:56Speaker 3: or whatever before COVID. And they're like, And this is
- 52:59Speaker 3: your security. And they were like off-duty Chicago cops or whatever.
- 53:04Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, my God, this is so hot. Like,
- 53:07Speaker 3: this is so exciting.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:08Speaker 3: But I didn't have it this year.
- 53:10Speaker 2: You didn't?
- 53:12Speaker 3: I didn't. I don't know if they weren't available. I
- 53:14Speaker 3: don't know who paid for it. I certainly didn't ask
- 53:17Speaker 3: for it. I loved it. But it was not– I
- 53:20Speaker 3: think I had somebody help with the meet and greet,
- 53:22Speaker 3: but I did not– it was not like how I
- 53:25Speaker 3: had like these two like– you know, hot Chicago cops that,
- 53:28Speaker 3: you know, yeah, that's what I want. And, um, yeah,
- 53:32Speaker 3: I remember one time I was doing a show in
- 53:34Speaker 3: San Diego and, um, and I got out of my car.
- 53:37Speaker 3: It was the La Jolla comedy store. And this guy
- 53:39Speaker 3: walks up and he's like, got these, you know, this
- 53:41Speaker 3: paper and he, and he's like, um, excuse me. And,
- 53:44Speaker 3: and I, and he shows his like badge. And I
- 53:48Speaker 3: was like, Oh my God, hot. Like La Jolla comedy
- 53:51Speaker 3: store got me another like off duty cop.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:54Speaker 3: And he was like, I'm serving you. So I was served.
- 53:57Speaker 2: No. Yes. What did you get served for?
- 54:03Speaker 3: I got served by the American Comedy Place suing me.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Mark this in case I can't keep this in the show.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Okay. So that guy, you're talking about the– Yeah.
- 54:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Should we tell a story about that?
- 54:18Speaker 3: Well, you can tell a story, and then if we
- 54:20Speaker 3: have to cut it out, we have to cut it out.
- 54:23Speaker 3: This whole thing, we are going to share when it's complete.
- 54:28Speaker 3: It's basically complete, but Peter and I just haven't taken
- 54:31Speaker 3: the time. But you had a story about it, right?
- 54:33Speaker 3: The San Diego American Comedy Club sued me.
- 54:38Speaker 2: I used to do a joke where I would let
- 54:40Speaker 2: the microphone slide between my hands, and it would stop
- 54:43Speaker 2: about an inch before the stage.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 54:46Speaker 2: One show, the microphone hit the stage.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 54:49Speaker 2: So my manager at the time, he emails me. He
- 54:53Speaker 2: calls me like three days when I get back in town.
- 54:55Speaker 2: And he goes, what the fuck happened down there? I go,
- 54:58Speaker 2: what do you mean? He goes, let me read you
- 54:59Speaker 2: this email. And it went on to say like, you know,
- 55:03Speaker 2: if your client, you know, insists on breaking our club's equipment,
- 55:08Speaker 2: we'll have no choice but to. And tried to charge
- 55:11Speaker 2: me like $ 500 for a new microphone.
- 55:15Speaker 3: But you continued with the show, so the mic was working, right?
- 55:18Speaker 2: 100% working.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 2: It might have maybe had a little dent in it, maybe.
- 55:22Speaker 2: But by the way, and if I had broken it,
- 55:24Speaker 2: I'll pay for your mic.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:26Speaker 2: But the email we got, it made it sound like
- 55:29Speaker 2: I walked in there, took a shit on the stage,
- 55:32Speaker 2: smeared it on the walls, did like this with the microphone.
- 55:35Speaker 2: It was hitting people like insanity. But the more I
- 55:39Speaker 2: talk to other comics, they're like, yeah, this dude, that's
- 55:42Speaker 2: his MO.
- 55:42Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I can't wait to hear about yours.
- 55:46Speaker 3: I mean, the story, there's so much to the story.
- 55:49Speaker 3: I'll save it for another day. But it's like an
- 55:51Speaker 3: unbelievable thing like that that just got out of control.
- 55:54Speaker 3: But anyway, so, but about security, like, yeah, I don't know.
- 55:58Speaker 3: You know, we'll see. Hopefully this is a check and
- 56:03Speaker 3: people don't try this shit and don't do this. And,
- 56:07Speaker 3: you know, so there you go. Let's get into some
- 56:09Speaker 3: other news. Speaking of other stuff.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Look at that guy.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Eric Church said, I guess he's some hot country guy.
- 56:15Speaker 3: He is. Anyway, he canceled a sold out show in
- 56:19Speaker 3: an arena and sold out. And because he's some he's
- 56:24Speaker 3: a fan of some team and he wants to go
- 56:27Speaker 3: to the game with his family. And he has said
- 56:29Speaker 3: that is why. And he's like, I'm sorry, this is
- 56:31Speaker 3: my team. And they're going to whatever.
- 56:34Speaker 2: So his team must be in the final four.
- 56:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:37Speaker 2: And he has... Yo, this is what that tells me.
- 56:41Speaker 3: And he said, I know it's selfish, but I want
- 56:43Speaker 3: to go to the game with my family.
- 56:44Speaker 2: He's got so much money.
- 56:45Speaker 3: And they just refunded all the tickets.
- 56:47Speaker 2: He basically is like, I've got so much money. Four
- 56:49Speaker 2: days before.
- 56:50Speaker 3: It was a show in San Antonio. Four days before.
- 56:53Speaker 2: But you can already tell how confident he is. He's
- 56:56Speaker 2: wearing a purple suede coat, which I'm sure for a
- 56:59Speaker 2: country star is probably out of step a little bit.
- 57:01Speaker 2: But his music is fantastic. But... You know, the balls
- 57:05Speaker 2: it takes to do that, like probably 40,000 people and
- 57:10Speaker 2: just be like, I'm going to go.
- 57:11Speaker 3: I remember when you and I and Brad went to
- 57:15Speaker 3: Atlanta to do the show and it was the only
- 57:20Speaker 3: time Chelsea ever was sick and she was beyond sick.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:26Speaker 3: And so they had to cancel the show.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:29Speaker 3: And the tweets and the things that I was getting were,
- 57:34Speaker 3: No one was mean. They were just like, what? We've
- 57:37Speaker 3: been driving six hours. We came from our college. We
- 57:41Speaker 3: got this motel. We ate people in a room. They
- 57:44Speaker 3: scraped their money to come see us. And it was
- 57:47Speaker 3: always that part that I was like, it's not about
- 57:51Speaker 3: that you refunded the ticket. And that's the way I
- 57:53Speaker 3: felt about Adele. And I'm sorry. It's so shitty because
- 57:57Speaker 3: it's not just– the ticket for the money it's i
- 58:00Speaker 3: got time off from work this is my wife's anniversary
- 58:03Speaker 3: this is our baby moon this was that's the whatever
- 58:05Speaker 3: and it's like and they're such loyal fans that they
- 58:09Speaker 3: made a trip around to see you it's a major dick.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Move i agree i i i don't think login and
- 58:15Speaker 2: i don't think you get points for being honest no
- 58:18Speaker 2: i got that you know i mean like police out
- 58:20Speaker 2: i i love what people feel like they can do
- 58:22Speaker 2: shitty things and as long as they're honest about it
- 58:24Speaker 2: yeah but i was honest about it yet but you
- 58:26Speaker 2: did still a shitty that's like saying no offense Yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 58:30Speaker 3: No, I was saying like when Adele canceled her shows,
- 58:33Speaker 3: I was like, she is dick whipped. She is worried
- 58:36Speaker 3: about this boyfriend. Yeah. Along with everything else. She just
- 58:39Speaker 3: was like, you know.
- 58:40Speaker 2: Is dick whipped a real thing?
- 58:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 58:42Speaker 2: I've heard pussy whipped. I've never heard dick whipped before.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Oh, there's girls that are dick whipped that are, maybe
- 58:47Speaker 3: it's not just dick whipped, like, oh my God, the sex,
- 58:49Speaker 3: but just the relationship, the insecurity. I don't want to
- 58:52Speaker 3: leave this guy alone. I'm like, I just, whatever. And, um, Yeah,
- 58:57Speaker 3: and I was like, well, I've never canceled a show.
- 58:58Speaker 3: I don't know what that says about Peter's dick, but
- 59:00Speaker 3: I have never canceled a show.
- 59:01Speaker 2: Sorry about your tiny dick, Peter.
- 59:03Speaker 3: No, I've never, ever canceled.
- 59:09Speaker 2: You've never canceled a show for being sick?
- 59:11Speaker 3: No, the only time was when I fell on my head.
- 59:13Speaker 3: That's the only time I've ever canceled a trip.
- 59:15Speaker 2: Do you know the only time I canceled without being
- 59:19Speaker 2: sick was recently. I was supposed to go to Edmonton.
- 59:24Speaker 2: And Edmonton at the time was like hotbed for COVID-19.
- 59:28Speaker 2: And it wasn't even the fear of COVID. I was like,
- 59:31Speaker 2: I don't want to get fucking stuck in Canada for
- 59:33Speaker 2: 14 days.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Well, first of all, anything that was canceled in and
- 59:36Speaker 3: around COVID is forgiven.
- 59:37Speaker 2: It's forgiven. Then I'm good.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:39Speaker 2: Then I'm good.
- 59:40Speaker 3: No, just like, you know what? I'm not in the mood. Listen,
- 59:43Speaker 3: we've all been not in the mood. We've all had
- 59:46Speaker 3: moments where I'm like, I hope no one's hurt. But
- 59:49Speaker 3: if I got a call right now that the place
- 59:51Speaker 3: got flooded and they had a good insurance policy, I
- 59:53Speaker 3: would be so thrilled. I don't have to pack the
- 59:55Speaker 3: suitcase right now. Just because the laziness of packing. Once
- 59:58Speaker 3: I'm there, I'm always happy. But sometimes just like you're
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: tired and the thought of getting on another plane or whatever.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: But never like because there's a fun party that weekend.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Yeah, because the housewives.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: Or I'm just burnt. Yeah, or the housewives invited me
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: to something. And listen, I've missed up and I've been
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: so sad when there's been a fun party.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: By the way, I did tell you that this was
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: my first season of The Bachelor.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: That you watched it?
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: And do you have any thoughts?
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: I do. Okay. I, so I watched that and I
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: was really curious to see the live, you know, and.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: The, Oh, you mean that after the rose where all
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: the people in the audience.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Yo, for anybody to be mad that somebody else was
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: having sex with, have you not watched the show?
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: That was so lame.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: The fact that they were both so shocked. I was like,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: are you new? Have you not?
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: You've been watching it since you were six. It's been
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: on for 18 years.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: This is what happens.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: And by the way, if I was on the show
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: and I was like, I'm going to propose to somebody,
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I'm having sex with as many people as I can
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: to know. I don't want to get married to you
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: if I haven't had sex with you.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: Also, isn't the whole thing is, like, you're about to
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: get married, so get all your sex with strange pussy before,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: and that might be, you know, number three and number two. Yeah.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Like, this was so crazy to me. And then what
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: got me, like, to see people in the crowd, like, yeah,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: fuck this guy. I'm like, what? He's on a, basically,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: game show.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: To find a wife. What are we doing? But, like,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: I was fascinated by the, by just... how shocked and
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: like the indignant and that, and a couple like the
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: women's fathers, like I'll hold my tongue.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: I'm like, dude, like, you know, that your wife, that
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: your daughter is boning people on TV.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: How about that part? Oh my God.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: That would have never been okay with my parents, by
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: the way.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: No, ever.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: No. Did you watch the, the vegan?
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: A hundred percent.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Okay. All right. So she, um, I knew you would love,
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: she just posted this. There was a photo of her
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: in tears next to her billboard where she's eating, you know,
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: for the Netflix show. This is Sarma. She wrote, Dear Mr. Fox,
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: putting these photos side by side for a reason, even
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: though it's fresh raw meat for those who say I'm
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: playing the victim. There are more important things going on
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: in the world than the misrepresentation of my story. But
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: I'll continue to speak out in objection to the mocking
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: of psychological abuse by Netflix and the misretrail of these
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: kinds of stories in general. Me looking like a glamorized
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: villain eating cash salad is not me. It may help
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: Netflix sensationalize the story, but at my expense and the
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: expense of the greater understanding are the larger issues including,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: and then she did hashtag, coercive control, narcissistic abuse, and
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: cult mind control. I think my opinion is she thought
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: this Netflix special was With the amount of, you know,
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Dirty John type of stories and cult stories and what
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: was the one where the vow where the girls all
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: that she was like, well, I'm going to get my
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: story out and everyone is going to feel they're going
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: to realize that I didn't screw over the staff, that
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: I was coerced by this weird guy. And people saw
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: it for what it was. Yes, he was a weird
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: guy because you believe that he could make your dog
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: live forever.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: And you married him because you needed $ 2 million. Yeah.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: After you started a business with your boyfriend, who you
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: scooted out and snuggled up to the investor, that guy,
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: who was like, I don't care that she doesn't pay me. Yeah. Like, you...
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: You're more privileged than Will Smith.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: By the way.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: What about the very last two minutes of the entire
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: series where she's on the phone with them and they're
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: laughing with each other. I was like, what is happening?
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: And for her to feel like a victim was absolutely crazy.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: But if you, here's my, and I don't have a
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: lot of rules in life and I didn't know I
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: had this rule, but. if you think somebody can make
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: your dog immortal, you deserve whatever the fuck happens to you.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Like I don't, if you're a grown human and you're like,
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: you know what? I'm going to stick around with this
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: guy because I think Fido is going to live forever.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: You know how like stars, like really rich people are
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: doing the cloning of their pets.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: So I was talking about with, with my boys and, um,
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: And I was talking about Drake, my older son, and
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: I go, and he goes, I mean, that's so weird.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Do you think anyone will ever do that with their child?
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: And I said, a hundred percent, if it's available, you know,
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: and he goes, I guess like if your son died
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: when he was little or whatever. And I go, well,
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: I don't think that you'd have to be dead. I'm like,
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: if I had the opportunity to reclone you, I would.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: He goes, you would? I go, yeah, because I would
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: want to do a better job. I want, and I'm like,
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: he goes, what kind of better job would you do?
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: I'm like, you'd eat such better food. You'd probably be
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: in a better school. I would like, I would have
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: been more of like the tiger mom. I would have been,
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: and then, and he goes, do you think Drake 2.0
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: would be a better golfer than me? And I'm like, probably.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: He's like, I would hate Drake 2.0. I go, but he's,
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: I go, but he's your brother and yourself. And then
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: they got so obsessed with the idea of it, they
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: were furious that I was going to remake them and
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: re-raise them as better humans. That's hilarious. Because that's why
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: parents become really amazing grandparents.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: That's right.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Because you're like, oh my God, I want to do
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: this better or I want to spend more time. And
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: no pressure. Yes. I want to spend more time. I
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: want to read this whole book for two hours that
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: you didn't want to do when you were 30. And like,
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: that is exactly it.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Do you know what else? Cloning your kid. That would
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: be the new threat of, like, instead of, hey, we're
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: going to turn this car around, I'm going to clone you!
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Yeah, and Drake 2.0 is
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: going to be smarter. Yeah. You know, better looking, everything.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: I'm going to get the braces on earlier.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I'm going to do this.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: I'm going to do that. Because, like, I always think, like,
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: I wanted to.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: Drake 2.0.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: I mean, what I'd really love to do.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Would you clone yourself?
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: I would love to clone myself and raise it. A
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: hundred percent.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Oh, clone yourself so I have a baby, Heather.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: I want to clone... My own kids and redo them.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: But I'm a little old to do that from start.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: But when I was younger, if there was an option,
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: I would like to clone, reclone Heather. Because I would
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: be like, don't focus on this. Focus on this. Like,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: this is where your talent is. This isn't it. Forget it. Yeah. Like,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: I know where you should spend your energy.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Can I tell you?
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: My dad was really good at that. My dad was like,
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: not one of those dudes. I remember my brother and I,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: we each brought a drawing into him and my brother
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: was a great drawer. I remember my dad being like, Hey,
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: you're really good at this. Like you should look into
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: keep doing this. This is something for you in your future.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: And I remember handing him my drawing and him looking
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: at it and going, this is not for you. Find
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: something else. And I, and I know I've told people
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: that and they're like, that's harsh. I'm like, to me,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: that's good parenting actually. Cause I didn't, I never drew again.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: I don't doodle. I don't draw smiley faces. Like, but
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: that's not my skillset, man.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: But it's funny. Cause I said to Drake, I go,
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: is there anything you would do different, you know, in
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: high school? Granted two years of COVID, they got fucked,
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: you know, but I'm like, is there anything you would
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: do different in high school that you might want to
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: give advice? Like, you know, would you study harder or whatever?
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: And he's like, um, I think I would have played
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: baseball instead of golf. And I go, were you that
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: good at baseball? And he goes, yeah. And I go,
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: I don't remember that. And he goes, no, I had
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: a batting average or whatever. And I go, oh, all right.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: I go, he goes, they always put me in. They
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: did this and that. And I was like. You never,
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: you were not sad when that Sunrise League, Little League
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: thing ended. I'm like, okay, all right. Well, Drake 2.0
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: is staying in baseball. Wait, speaking of this thing, you know,
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: they talked about how Alec Baldwin met Hilaria there. The
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: latest news is, wait a minute, I skipped it. Did
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: you hear that Hilaria is pregnant with the seventh baby? What? Yes.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Now, how many of those babies has she had personally?
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Supposedly, because there's, Theories about her and there's moments where
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: she's been in video with the Beyonce fake tummy that
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: people think.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Theory, theory. What's the– The only one that she has
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: admitted to not caring is I think there's a– like
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: there's like a 13-month-old and then there's an 8-month-old. And
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: the 8-month-old, she had a miscarriage in there and in
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: that time of the miscarriage, she went through a surrogate
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: fertility thing. Then she did get pregnant.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: So, or maybe, I don't know, but so then a
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: baby was brewing in someone else and she was pregnant
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: and that's why they're even closer than Irish twins. The
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: two little ones are like six months apart.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: And that's why. And now she's pregnant again is what
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: she's saying with her seventh baby, yes.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: I have to tell you some, as somebody who raised kids,
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: seven kids sounds terrible. It sounds, like a like a
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: horror story. You imagine coming home to seven kids. What
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: does that mean? When that last kid gets out of
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: the house, is he going to be 80?
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: I mean... 80? I mean, that's why he was doing
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: shitty movies with not enough budget for, you know, the
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: right armorist. I'm sorry, but that is why.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: But what kind of baby is that old sperm producing?
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Does the age of the sperm change anything about the kid?
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: I mean, people don't want to hear this, but if
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: you look up, yes, there is a little bit of
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: a risk with an older sperm. There's a larger risk
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: with an older egg. But an older sperm, sometimes there
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: has been A link to kids having some issues. But,
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: you know, I don't think people think about that. And
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: I think her kids all appear to be fine. She's
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: not revealed anything that they're not.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: She must be so fertile. Look, I know that guys
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: can't have babies, but I can't be the only dude.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Let me just tell you, fertility is a brag.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: With certain women.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: Is it? Is it a brag?
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: With certain rich women, it's a brag. Because it's like, I'm,
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: you know, this like, you know, woman that's just, and
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: also because she gets her body back and she's all
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: about it. And the baby, then she calls them little baldwinos,
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: you know, in Spanish and like all of this.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Does she do it with the accent?
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: And so she, so I think it's, I think it's
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: kind of her, her brand, her identity. And I think,
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: you know, but on the other hand, you know, hey,
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: you're pregnant. listen, I know big families. I grew up
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: next to some big families and they are fabulous today.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: They're all adults. They're all close and their stories are
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: really kind of beautiful.
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: But was their dad a senior citizen?
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: No. Okay. And their dad, and their dad wasn't like,
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: and they weren't all over Instagram and they, their mom
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: wasn't pretending to be Spanish and they weren't, they didn't
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: accidentally kill someone on a movie set. But I mean, I'm,
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: I will never say that someone shouldn't have more kids.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Like if you're pregnant and you have that baby, like
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: that is your, that is your thing. These kids are
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: not going to suffer at all as far as like
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: education and housing and everything like that. So I do
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: remember my mom said when she was in the grocery
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: store with the five kids and I'm number five, this
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: was the 70s and someone walked up to her and said,
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: how dare you overpopulate the world like this?
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: In the 70s?
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: In the 70s. And, you know, what would the world
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: be without Heather McDonald? Not a happy place. I will say, though,
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: it's like, you know, I'm I'm very much like don't
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: like when people criticize.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: I'm the youngest of four boys.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: But the youngest are like a lot of comedians are
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: the youngest.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: We figured that out. I remember in the writers room.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: And I just and I was just watching. I was
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: just watching. Wait, hold on. Stephen Colbert. And he was
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: interviewing somebody, and he's the youngest of a big Irish
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: Catholic family. And there are so many that are the youngest.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: And just like presidents, all but one is a firstborn male.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: What?
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: The only one that's not a firstborn male is JFK.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: And it's only because his brother was supposed to be
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: the president, and the brother died in the war.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: Wait.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: I mean, they're grooming him to be the president.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Every president has been a firstborn male. Like the oldest?
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Firstborn male. And if people, look it up, if I'm
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: off by two or three people, but the majority.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Andrew Polk or James Polk, whatever.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: The majority is a firstborn male.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Because you raise, I just remember like this one mom
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: I knew, she was at this beach club and I
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: went to college with her and she had like three
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: kids really close in age. Or maybe she had four
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: and they were all cute and they were little. And
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: the oldest was the four-year-old. but she had a three
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: and a two and like one of her poop. And,
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: and the way she talked to that four year old,
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: she was giving him so much more responsibility and he
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: had to versus the, if you had a family of
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: five and that's the four year old, like you're still like,
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: I mean, I just remember I sat in a high
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: chair and I remembered being like pointing and knowing in
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: my head that I knew how to say the word,
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: but they all got it for me. And I was
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: just like, yeah. And I was just like, And just
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: the fun of it, how everyone thought I was fun,
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: and your parents treat you different.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: The oldest, basically, is the guinea pig. Because as a parent,
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: you're just trying to figure it out, too. You're young,
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: you just have this little human, and you make mistakes.
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: By the time we came around, our parents were just like, look,
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: don't die. We would like you to, and we don't
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: want to parent too much.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: But then also, as the youngest, it's like, you know,
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: what I was exposed to was completely inappropriate because I
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: could watch whatever TV I want. I heard their jokes.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: They were raising me. The older kids were watching me
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: and they weren't, they were a 12 year old watching
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: a little kid. They weren't a 30 year old that
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: has a master's in child development watching a little kid.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: They're like, you know, so it's like, it changes your
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: perspective of life. But also in these big families, maybe
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: not in hers because they're close in age and all that.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: But like, I remember when there'd be families that were like,
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: 11 kids, 12. If you talk to them, it was
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: almost like they get assigned a kid to raise and
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: they'd be like, Oh, well my sister, you know, I'm number,
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I'm number 11 and my sister Kayla, who was number three,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: she's re she was really the one that like raised me.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: She was in charge. Like they literally go, you're in
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: charge of changing her, giving her a bath, feeding her. Like,
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: and so that's, That's kind of interesting. I don't want
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: to see like 11, 13, but we're seven is a lot.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: It's a ton. And then he has an eight with Ireland.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: But what, what, what, like why this picture? Like, I'm
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: so curious why, how he's blurry. Like who, who picked
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: that picture.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: To go with her? She did some post with all
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: her kids announcing it. And so they, the Us Weekly
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: just grabbed the post.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: Got it. Yeah. So there you go. Um, wait, I
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: want to get to, if there was anything else I
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: wanted to talk to you about. Britney Spears.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: I feel so bad.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: I just have to say this is, might be the
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: weirdest post I've ever read in my life. So she's dancing.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Let's say it's something for her, by the way.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: This one's pretty weird. She's wearing like a, an outfit
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: and she's dancing to that, this Cardi B song, you know,
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: that's like pretty thrusting and she's doing these thrusting moves,
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: but she's still like pulling down her skirt to make
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: sure it doesn't show her ass. And then she writes this, um,
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: I don't even have it at all. I'm doing online
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: classes with like little book emoji in Minneapolis, getting a
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: deposit on the gift. My uncle Roy got my cousin
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: because Leroy found a turtle in the drawer and the
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: fucking car went into flames because the tire busted on
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: the highway. So the police saved. And that was, I
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: cut it out.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: But thank God, free Brittany, huh? Come on, man.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: What is this about?
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: I'll tell you what it's about. It makes me laugh
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: when people were like, free Britney. She's got some problems, everybody.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Maybe she should be free, but not 100%. Like, this
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: is not normal shit.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: And then recently, like, she posted photos of her boys
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: that are like teenagers now, but she just posts the
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: ones when they're little. Yeah. I really don't, I really
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: feel badly because I really, I would like to know
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: Does she really see those boys or hang out with
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: them at all? I mean, my God. My boy got
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: embarrassed because I dropped him off at Crest Beauty, forgot something,
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: and I was wearing a completely appropriate outfit, but I
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: was wearing shorts. And he was like, can you not
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: wear shorts here? And I was like... Oh, my God. Now,
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: imagine if your mom is rolling around topless in the
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: sand and like, I mean, come on.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's got to be rough, especially. I mean, I
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: wonder how hard it is to be a teenager and
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: have people make jokes about having sex with your mom.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Do you know people like I would do it? I
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: would totally have sex with your mom.
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: I mean, the only thing is, I don't know.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: Did that happen to you?
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: All the time.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: All the time.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: To your face. To my face.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: People would come up to me when he came to school.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: Wait, come over. This is Jacob. Hello.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Oh. Well, when you came to school, all the girls
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: would say, I want to fuck your dad. But then
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: when mom came to school.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: They'd say it to your face.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: Every time. No, 100%.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: There was no behind the back. They would just come
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: up and say, hey, I want to fuck one of
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: your parents. Ew.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: This cannot be at Notre Dame.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: It was specifically at Notre Dame and at my middle
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: school as well. The Catholics. The Catholics, Heather. It's the Catholics. Yep.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: God.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: Well, I did. There was a story where Brandon told
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: me that some kid was saying that your mom's hot.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: And how did that make you feel?
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: I could not stop smiling. I was like, what? And
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: I paid this much to go to school for you
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: to be bullied? Do you want me to go up
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: to the cute baseball coach and complain? Like, yeah.
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: But then Drake kind of explained what it is and
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: like that it's like a bullying thing and like it's
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: like a little thing that, you know, but I mean,
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: but as far as this thing goes, there is this
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: girl that's on TikTok that will read her stuff in
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: like a Louisiana way.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: And then people go, oh, now it makes more sense.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: But even in a Louisiana way.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: That's not right.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: I'm doing online classes in Minneapolis, getting a deposit on
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: the gift that my Uncle Roy got my cousin because
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Leroy found a turtle in the drawer and the fucking
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: car went into flames. Because the tire busted on the highway,
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: so the police saved my... No.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: But by the way.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: It doesn't work in a Southern accent either.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: It's weird. That caption with that picture... I mean, what
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: is happening? It looks like somebody combined Britney Spears and
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: Amy Schumer's face together. And then, like, this picture... Why
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: she decided to go, hey, maybe we should just take
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: another shot. You know what I mean?
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: Well, this was a dancing thing. So I screen-grabbed it.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: Oh, you screen-grabbed it, okay.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: I screen-grabbed it dancing, yeah.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's a tough... But, I mean.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Otherwise, I mean, if she was just going to lunch
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: and her dress was normal, that's okay.
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: Sure.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: But, like, she was doing this, like, angry dance, and
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: then this post, and I'm just like.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: Would you go see her concert right now?
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, so I could talk about it on
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: Juicy Scoop.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course you would.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: Of course you would. And she doesn't even need Will
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: Smith to hit her. I can see it.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: Do you think, by the way, do you think if
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: you switch Kanye out You put Kanye in with Will Smith.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: I think we're having a completely different conversation. By the way,
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: what you said was, I think if you switch out
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: just white dudes.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, even if two, what I said is if
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: two straight white guys, like if it was, let me
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: just think of like two movie stars of the same
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: age that are like both fit, maybe one's bigger.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Let's say it was Channing Tatum and.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: Chris Pratt or whatever. And Chris Pratt, I'm just saying.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: That would be kind of hot.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: And yeah, and he hit him. I think the reaction
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: would be the same. I think people would be mad
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: at the person that hit the comic or whatever. But
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: it would be that there would be this level that
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: it would be a lot worse if they weren't two
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: equal people. In stature, in industry, in sexuality, in gender.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: You know what that shows you also? It shows you
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: that sometimes we read into things where things don't need
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: to be read into. This was what it was. This
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: dude got his feelings hurt and he went up and
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: took a swing. Like if you– but now if you
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: make black, white, man, woman, sometimes we inject things that
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: were just– that fit that narrative instead of just, yeah,
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: that person was mad. They took a swing at that person.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: It has nothing to do with black, white, man, woman
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: or whatever. You know what I mean?
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: Well, I think what you were saying like violence and
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: stuff and I've thought about that. I've thought about the
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: fact that I'm very grateful that my sons have actually
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: never gotten in a fight and they really don't even
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: like– only once in a while have they physically– wrestled
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: and it's usually because they're like bored and then it
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: gets violent, but it started out as just like a
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: fun thing. And then I have to be like, stop it.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: I'm afraid you're going to like, you know, boast a
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: wall in the, you know, but for the most part,
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: like it's just not when you're not around violence, if you're,
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: you know, if it's not something that's happening around you,
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: fortunately you don't go to it. And also the screaming,
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: a lot of people are saying the screaming of him screaming.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: It's like, Whoa, what's it like to be in his house?
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: You know, like, I don't know. That was weird. That,
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: that was, the screaming was really very weird too.
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: I just, to me, I guess less of indictment maybe
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: about his house. For me, it was just more about
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: this dude who seemed like he was a little out
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: of control. Like, maybe that is what's happening at his house.
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: Maybe it is a little out of control. It was
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: so sad though, because you know what it did also?
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: I like the idea, the idea of, of Hollywood. I
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: like The Shine. I like... You know what I loved?
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: I loved that Jack Nicholson didn't give a lot of interviews.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: I like Leo not giving a lot of interviews. Yes.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: The mystery.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: The mystery.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: The movie star.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? And this took a
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: lot of that away from me.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: And it was... I've said this before. The Oscars have
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: fallen off for many reasons. One, there's so many more
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: things to watch. We don't go to the movies. You know,
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: that kind of... You know, it's not like there's five
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: movies everyone saw. But also... We were like, what is
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: Meryl Streep going to wear? Well, now everybody has their
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: own Instagram, their own podcast. We know what they're wearing.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: We don't care. We know every intimate thing about them.
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: Even Madonna in her heyday did very, very few interviews.
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: Once every five years, she'd go on Oprah. We didn't
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: really know who she was. And it's like, yeah, now
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: you know everything about everybody. And it's just like, who cares?
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: Yeah. yeah i do i miss that like yeah you
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: know what i used to say the difference with people
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: would be like uh about comics they said you know
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: does it bother you when people come up to you
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: in the airport or whatever i'm like no because i
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: understand my role here's how it used to break down
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: for me movie star like when tom cruise if he
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: would walk through public people yeah.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: There's tom cruise that's tom cruise he's so small.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: And right yeah yeah yeah what size he Like that
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: kind of stuff, right? But nobody's walking up to them
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: because movies is we leave our house, we go to
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: a dark room, and they're larger than life and taking
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: us to fantasy land. Not approachable.
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: And that's how it began 100 years ago.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: TV, they're in my living room. I can walk up
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: to you. Comedy, I know your name, man. You're not Chandler.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: You're Josh Wolfe. So I feel like I know you.
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: All those lines have been, they're gone.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: They're gone. They're absolutely gone now. And I miss, like,
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: I liked the fact that there was that kind of
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: movie star.
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: I like that Leo doesn't give a ton of interviews.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: Good for him, man.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: Just be a movie star.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: Day your 20 year old girl.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: And you know what? He's living a pretty good life.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: And he doesn't need, that dude never has to hit
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: the gym. Not one time in his life. He can
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: just be skinny fat for the rest of his life.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Still got a cute face.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: Is that all it takes?
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: Well, not all it takes. He's a huge movie star.
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: He's rich. I mean, come on. These 22-year-old girls now,
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: they'll screw the grossest person for a handbag. Like, they're
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: happy to be with Leonardo on his yacht. So, like,
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: don't even worry. Their standards are so low. Like, sorry.
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: I need to up the standards of these girls. Well,
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: let's wrap it up. Josh, tell everybody what you're doing,
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: where they can find you, what's happening.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: I do a podcast with Jacob Wolf, my son called
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Hey Man.
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: I love it. It's so funny. The clips are great.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: We have such a good time together. You know, he's
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: admitted something. Heather, you know what he admitted to me
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: on a live stream?
- 1:25:26Speaker 5: What?
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: He was like, it's like that time I walked in
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: on you and mom. I was like, what? I go,
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: you walked in on me and Beth? And he was like, yeah.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: And so I go, oh, I'm so sorry, dude. I go,
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: how old were you? And he goes, 17. I was like, yeah, yeah.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: Because you had a story from when he was a baby, right?
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: That you got, went viral.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: When he was like four.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: Yes, that you got on Last Comic Standing. So I
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: literally was like, God, Josh, why are you bringing up
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: that old bit? Oh, no, 17.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: That's because when he brought it up, I was like, oh,
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: that's what we're going to talk about. I go, what happened?
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: He goes, I was, he was, he was 17. He
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: was driving himself to school in the morning and he
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: was looking for the keys and he thought we were
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: going to be asleep. And he walked into the room
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: looking for the keys. Like, at 17, I felt so.
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: And you never heard it. You did not know.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: No, I was working.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: And then... Was it just horrifying? Yeah.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: You know what else he admitted to me?
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: What?
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: This is why I love this podcast so much. He
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: was like, you know, when you used to go to sleep,
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: I used to take your car out for a joyride.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: I was like, what? I was like, how old are you?
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: He was like 15, 14, 16. I was like, when
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: I was asleep, just hop it in my car.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: When you're out of town, it's a little easier for me.
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: My God. Oh, jeez.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: But the podcast is a ton of fun.
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: I'm also comedianjoshwolf.com for tour dates. I'm having more fun
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: on stage than I ever have in my life. I'm
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: really like, I care less about what other people think
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: are funny, and I'm really just having fun. He comes
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: out on stage with me sometimes. It's like a whole,
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: I play the guitar.
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: Why doesn't he, he's a tall drink of water. Why
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: doesn't he double his security? Save yourself a dollar. I
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: do anyways. Yeah, he really does.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Well, I sell merch. I'm not like people who stay
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: in too long. I'm like, all right, so we can
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: get next photos. Let's all move it. He does. He does.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: He's pretty good at moving it along. He's pretty good.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: Well, awesome. Thank you.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: Heather, thank you so much.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: Josh Wolf. Always a delight. Wolf Jr. Glad you're here.
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: Handsome.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: Met you so long ago. I know. Turned out to
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: be a real cute little boy.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: How long?
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Cute little boy got big.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: 20 years?
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: I remember talking to you on the phone and you're like, Joe. Now,
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: I don't know if this is true and I really
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: hope it wasn't because the visual has never left me.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: But you told me we're doing shows at night. I
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: was calling you like, what time or where are we
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: going or whatever? And you're like, I'm here. And Joey
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: Diaz is in the bath with Jacob. Did you really
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: put Joey in the bath?
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Not in the bath. He gave Jacob baths. Joey Diaz
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: was the babysitter.
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: No, I know, but I did imagine Joey Diaz in
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: a bath.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: With a baby, like an eight-month-old.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: By the way, that was Joey over 300 pounds. In
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: those tiny little bathtubs, it would have been like a
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: half a gallon of water.
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: I know, but I just feel like we were going.
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: I remember thinking it was actually really cute that you
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: guys were watching him and stuff, but I also got
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: a visual.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Yeah, no, but he definitely, he was Jacob's babysitter, but
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: not naked in the bath.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Thank God. All right. Thank you. Thank you.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: for it?
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: It's Dunaidial.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: Where?
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: Do you mean.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: Yes, I got it on Done Deal Cars. Lift, please.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: You're going past Kimmage. Oh, Kimmage. No. Done Deal Cars.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
