- 0:18Hello and welcome to episode 41 of the All Systems Go Sports
- 0:24Betting podcast Powered by Rhythm.
- 0:27I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone?
- 0:34Happy Friday. Our work week is coming to an
- 0:37end. We got a big weekend ahead and
- 0:39we got a lot to talk about on today's podcast.
- 0:41I have a six pack of sweats to breakdown you guys say,
- 0:44including four Major League Baseball bets, one NHL bet.
- 0:47I'm going to look for some goals tonight in one game and then
- 0:50also an NBA bet. This is going to be a rhythm
- 0:53suggested bet. Our friends at rhythm who who do
- 0:55a fantastic job of their AI generated picks and props have a
- 1:00recommendation for us in one of the NBA games.
- 1:02So excited to share that with you.
- 1:03And then also we do have some biting a little bit of UFC, big
- 1:07UFC Fight Night for tomorrow and there was one fighter or biter
- 1:12as I like to call them who is checking off every single box.
- 1:15Younger, taller, longer reach line move, good bet, split, low
- 1:20bets, higher dollars. And the cherry on top is he has
- 1:23a tattoo on his back from his hometown and guess what UFC will
- 1:27be played or fought in his hometown.
- 1:30So looking for a little hometown edge here in the UFC.
- 1:33So six pack cross Major League Baseball, NHL and NBA playoffs
- 1:36as well as AUFC bet for tomorrow night.
- 1:39Now looking back to her last night guys, it was a bad 1/2 and
- 1:425 -, 3.3 units. Winners were the Royals who came
- 1:46through late night which was nice 'cause they were pretty
- 1:48cheap price. They're like -115.
- 1:51The Dallas Stars came through, really had a big lead there and
- 1:54almost got a little dicey. They're coughing up the lead
- 1:56late, but got an empty neck goal and got that winner.
- 1:59Now the losers, the one that hurt was Carolina.
- 2:01The Carolina Hurricanes. I can't believe they're down
- 2:04three O in the series, but they had a one O lead and they blew
- 2:07it. And then they went to overtime
- 2:08and they lost in overtime to the Rangers.
- 2:10So maybe the Rangers are just a team of destiny, but I was
- 2:12surprised Carolina could not win that one for us last night.
- 2:16OK, C let us down as well. I thought that was a good spot
- 2:19with a little bit of line movement and some good system
- 2:21matches on. OK C and Doncic was banged up
- 2:23but shot the lights out with Dallas.
- 2:27They pretty much hit every single three pointer.
- 2:29And then baseball, who were basically, usually a sport that
- 2:32we can pretty much rely on to be pretty decent each night, just
- 2:36was not good. One and three, the Yankees let
- 2:38us down. Cleveland losing to the White
- 2:41Sox. The White Sox might as well tip
- 2:42my cap, Calling my daddy. I've lost two straight games
- 2:45fading. The White Sox.
- 2:46So how dumb am I? And then Saint Louis.
- 2:49That one was just annoying but predictable because there's a
- 2:51super sharp move on Saint Louis, but I I remember saying it on
- 2:54the pod, like, man, this is a bad team.
- 2:57I don't like the spot. The Brewers are pretty good, but
- 2:59I got to trust the market. Well that's one of the rare
- 3:01occasions the market let us down as the Brewers beat the Saint
- 3:05Louis Cardinals. So either way guys 2 and 5, -,
- 3:083.3 units, let's see if we can claw back on a big Friday, get
- 3:11some of those units back and steam into a big weekend.
- 3:15So that being said, I want to start off with as we usually do
- 3:17on the pod Major League Baseball cause MLB it's a grind from
- 3:21opening day all the way to the last out of the World Series and
- 3:23we are still relatively early in the season.
- 3:25So first, but on the board for me, Houston and Detroit, I'm
- 3:29going to go with Houston Astros. I know they haven't been very
- 3:32good this year. They're 13 and 24, but they got
- 3:35a pretty good steam move here today against the Detroit team.
- 3:37That's been pretty good, but has been on a bit of a slide here
- 3:39recently. So going into it, as I
- 3:41mentioned, Astros 13 and 24, they just lost two or three
- 3:45against the Yankees, but they did avoid a sweep.
- 3:47They won the finale 4 to 3 yesterday as a + 125 Rd. dog.
- 3:51Not good because I took the Yankees.
- 3:53Meanwhile, the Tigers 19 and 18, but they just dropped two or
- 3:56three against the Guardians. They lost 5 to 4 and extra
- 3:59innings as a plus one O 5 Rd. dog in the finale of that
- 4:02series. So pitching match up here for
- 4:04tonight we have the Astros going with lefty framber Valdez who's
- 4:08one in one 3.97 ERA who'll be opposed by Casey Mize who's also
- 4:12one in one with a 3.98 ERA. But to me guys play here is all
- 4:16about the line move and the system matches on Houston and
- 4:19maybe a bit of a buy low spot just because they haven't played
- 4:21very well this year. But this game open with Houston
- 4:24around a -, 135 Rd. favorite. Now Houston is up to -145 S,
- 4:28about a 10 cent steam move in favor of the Astros telling us
- 4:32the bigger sharper wagers here on the Stroh's maybe that when
- 4:36yesterday in Yankee Stadium will give him a little bit of
- 4:37momentum coming into today. But also the bet splits about
- 4:4065% Bets in dollars on Houston. Combination of both pro and Joe
- 4:44support. But I'm going to lean on the
- 4:45bats of the Astros. They're hitting 258.
- 4:47The bats haven't been the problem, it's been the pitching.
- 4:49Hopefully Valdez will have a good start today, but they're
- 4:52hitting 258 versus only 227 for Detroit and a good system match
- 4:56here. If we look at the road
- 4:58favorites, just in general, very simple system Rd. favorites,
- 5:01they're 114 and 7760% this year with a 5% ROI.
- 5:07They'd also match as a non division favorite with the lack
- 5:10of film of familiarity benefiting the better team.
- 5:12I have another system match here, non division Rd. favorite,
- 5:15awful win. So it's combining a few
- 5:17different elements here, but that would also match with
- 5:19Houston. That system is 60% consistently
- 5:22since 2021. So pretty sharp line move.
- 5:25Couple system matches. I'm going with the Houston
- 5:27Astros, baby. Give me the Stroh's at -145.
- 5:31Keep on cruising. One of the teams this year that
- 5:33very rarely left, Very rarely lets us down.
- 5:37I should say. Hopefully they don't let us down
- 5:38tonight. Go with the Philadelphia
- 5:40Phillies. Phillies are on the road at the
- 5:42Miami Marlins. Phillies are 26 and 12.
- 5:45Best record in baseball. They're 18 and four over their
- 5:48last 22 games. However, they did just split a
- 5:51brief 2 game series against the Jays.
- 5:52They lost Wednesday's finale 5 to 3 as a -, 165 home favorite.
- 5:57Meanwhile, the Marlins, as good as the Phillies have been,
- 5:59Marlins have been worse. How bad they've been.
- 6:01They're 10 and 29. They're 4 and 12 over the last
- 6:0416 games. Just got swept by the Dodgers.
- 6:06They lost the finale on Wednesday 3:00 to 1:00 as a +
- 6:10220 Rd. dog for tonight's pitching matchup.
- 6:12Hopefully a big advantage for Philly.
- 6:14They're going with the lefty Ranger Suarez, who's been great
- 6:17six and O 1.72 ERA. He'll be opposed by the Marlin
- 6:21southpaw Trevor Rogers O 156.15 ERA, but once again, big sharp
- 6:27move steam, move in favor of Philly.
- 6:29Philly open this game around -165 -, 170.
- 6:33Now Philly is all the way up to -180 -, 190.
- 6:37So again shop around. I see one book at -178, I see
- 6:40another book at -200. So as always you want to have
- 6:43multiple outs, don't just bet through one sports book, make
- 6:45sure you go bet your game at the book that gives you the best
- 6:48price. So right now you can again find
- 6:50Philly around -180. They're getting around 95% of
- 6:53bets, 96% of dollars. So heavy, sharp money in their
- 6:56favor as well as public support. But remember public isn't really
- 6:59that big on a day-to-day grinding and MLB.
- 7:02So I don't get too worried about, you know, being on a 90%
- 7:05side if it's NFL, no way I'm on a 90% side 'cause it's just a
- 7:09public sport, unlike baseball. But Philly is going to bank on
- 7:13their offense, starting 257 with 46 homers, 191 runs scored.
- 7:19Marlins are only hitting 225 with 31 homers and 143 runs
- 7:22scored. And then good system matches
- 7:24here. Rd. favorites off a loss like
- 7:26the Phillies here, though, they are 48 and 2764% with a 12% ROI
- 7:31this season. Then remember this system when
- 7:34both teams had the day off the previous day.
- 7:36Just take the favorite. Very simple.
- 7:37But it's 467 and two 8362% with a 3% ROI since 2020.
- 7:43So it's a pretty big sample size.
- 7:45And then home Rd. Miami 5 and 15 at home.
- 7:49Philly 11:00 and 5:00 on the road.
- 7:51So good steam, good system matches.
- 7:53Hopefully Suarez is a big advantage over Rogers.
- 7:55I'm going with Suarez and the phills shop around.
- 7:58I got the phills at -180. Keep on cruising.
- 8:03Let's look at Kansas City and the LA Angels.
- 8:06I'm going right back to the well, one of the few teams that
- 8:08came through for us last night, going back to the well with the
- 8:11Royals. So Royals here after they had a
- 8:15big win for us yesterday, bats really got going.
- 8:17They won 3:50 as running -115 Rd. favorite member.
- 8:21That was dog to fave line move. Well, similar situation here.
- 8:23Let's start off with the pitching match up.
- 8:25Alec Marsh is going for Kansas City.
- 8:28He's three and O 2.7 OERA. He's coming off the injured list
- 8:32but he but the the Royals are five and O in the five starts
- 8:35that he's made this year. Meanwhile, Griffin Canning who's
- 8:38going for the Angels one and four 6.69 ERA and the Angels are
- 8:43only two and five in the seven starts that he's made this year.
- 8:46Now looking at the line move here, we pretty much open at
- 8:49around a pick em. So both shops or both sides are
- 8:51around -1 O 5 odds. Basically a virtual pick em.
- 8:55And it was pretty much sitting around pick em all early
- 8:58morning, late morning. But right as I'm getting into
- 9:01the pod, I saw a big steam move hit the Kansas City Royals,
- 9:04moving the Royals here from around -1 O 5 now up to around
- 9:09-115 -, 120. So we're starting to see this
- 9:13line creep back up in favor of the Kansas City Royals.
- 9:16So tells tells me the Royals are getting some smart money in
- 9:19their favor. Now they're getting 86% of bets,
- 9:2293% of dollars. So big Sharp Pro pro and Joe
- 9:26Betts, but they're in their favor.
- 9:27I'm going to bank on the offense of Kansas City.
- 9:30They've scored 185 runs versus only 158 for the Angels run
- 9:34differential. Big advantage for Kansas City
- 9:36plus 52 versus -40. The Angels by the way, are only
- 9:40four and 12 at home this year. They've really struggled, hasn't
- 9:43been a home field advantage, and we got a lot of system matches
- 9:46on Kansas City Rd. Favorites Simple System.
- 9:49We mentioned quite a bit on the pod 114 and 7760% this Year, 5%
- 9:54ROI. You'd also have that non
- 9:55division Rd. favorite off a win and short Rd. favorites -130 or
- 10:00or more or sorry -130 or less. Our sweet spot short Rd.
- 10:03favorites that system is 62 and 4458% with a 9% ROI.
- 10:09So it would also match on Kansas City.
- 10:11So you had it all up here guys. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- 10:14We had a pretty much a pick em game.
- 10:16Now it's creeping up toward KC. I'm going with the Royals in
- 10:18this one. Guys shop around.
- 10:19I got Kansas City at -115 last bit of the night.
- 10:24Let's go to Used to be Safeco. Now it's T-Mobile.
- 10:27Let's go to Seattle. Let's go to Pacific Northwest.
- 10:30Let's listen to some Nirvana. Let's eat some sushi.
- 10:33I've actually never been to Seattle.
- 10:34I'd like to go one day. But anyway, Oakland at Seattle.
- 10:37Interesting match up here in the AO W The Athletics come in 18
- 10:40and 21. They just dropped three or four
- 10:43though. Against the Rangers, they lost
- 10:44the finale 12 to 11 as a + 125 home dog.
- 10:47Remember, that was the second game of the double header.
- 10:49Meanwhile, the Mariners 20 and 18, but they've lost three of
- 10:52their last four games here against the Twins.
- 10:55They got crushed 11 to 1 yesterday as a + 100 row dog.
- 10:59So I may be looking for a bounce back spot with Seattle here.
- 11:02Now for the starting pitcher pitching match up here, the
- 11:05Athletics are going with Pete Blackburn.
- 11:07The righty. He's three and one with a
- 11:09three-point OOERA on the year, Mariners are going with fellow
- 11:13righty Brian Wu. Remember Brian Wu?
- 11:15He's making his first start of 2024, but back last season in
- 11:202023, he was four and five with a 4.21 ERA.
- 11:23Now what have we seen across the market here?
- 11:25Good movement towards Seattle. This game open with the Mariners
- 11:28listed as low as a -, 140 home favorite.
- 11:31We've now seen the Mariners creep up to -150, even -155
- 11:35across the board. So some good movement in favor
- 11:37of Seattle. Now they'll match a couple good
- 11:39systems here. The generic system will be
- 11:42favorites off a loss 143 and 9560% this season with 3% ROI.
- 11:47But remember earlier this week on the Pod?
- 11:50I kind of edited that system a little bit and said hey, not
- 11:53just favorites awful loss, but a winning favorite awful loss.
- 11:55So if you have a above 500 record, you're expected to win
- 11:59and you're coming off a loss. Those teams are 70 and 35 this
- 12:02year, 67% with a 12% ROI, so that's pretty good return on
- 12:07investment there, that system match.
- 12:09Now also, Seattle has some correlative betting value as a
- 12:12favorite in a low total game, so total in this one is 7 1/2.
- 12:16So if your amount of expected run scored more likely to come
- 12:18from, quote, UN quote, that better team run differential.
- 12:21Seattle's +2. Nothing amazing, but Oakland is
- 12:23-28 and I'm going to bank on the Mariners bullpen.
- 12:27They have the better bullpen ERA of 2.79 versus 3.47.
- 12:32So Seattle at home, a team that's been, you know, turning
- 12:35it around here pretty nicely. I'm going to ride them tonight
- 12:37against Oakland with a decent line move and some good system
- 12:40matches. I'm on Seattle, Shop around.
- 12:42I got the Mariners at -155 S, Houston, Philly, Seattle and
- 12:47Kansas City. Four pack Titan MLB.
- 12:50Can we get three or more of those?
- 12:52That is the goal. Now let's go over to the NHLI.
- 12:55Can tell you right now guys. I cannot wait for the Panthers
- 12:58and Bruins game three tonight. Now the line did move a little
- 13:01bit toward Florida. Florida open around -115 -, 120.
- 13:06They're upwards of -130 now. Line's starting to come back
- 13:09down a little bit. I've also seen some juice toward
- 13:11the under, under. I was leaning under 5 1/2 in
- 13:13this one. I decided not to play it because
- 13:16I'm going to just be a fan of my Boston Bruins and sweat my you
- 13:20know what off tonight rooting on the Boston Bruins.
- 13:23Let's see if they can get a win here hopefully and take a two
- 13:26one series lead. So I'm not playing that game.
- 13:28I can't wait to watch it, but I am going to play the second
- 13:31game, 10:00 Edmonton and Vancouver.
- 13:34Now don't get me started with Edmonton.
- 13:36They ripped our heart out and danced to the beat in game one
- 13:39because Edmonton had a big lead in that game, ended up blowing
- 13:42it and losing it for us. So Edmonton, you are the weakest
- 13:46link. Goodbye now.
- 13:47Line hasn't moved too much. It's pretty much a state
- 13:49Edmonton around -130, but I'm going to focus on the total
- 13:52here. I'm going to go over six.
- 13:54Now ideally we at least get a push, but I want the win here.
- 13:58I want seven goals or more. And I think there's an angle
- 14:00here for this over tonight. First off, the over 6 is really
- 14:04juiced up -120 across the board. You'll get any book here.
- 14:08It's all 6 / -, 120. I see it 6 / -, 125.
- 14:12I see one book 6 / -, 130. You might be able to shop
- 14:15around, find a 6 / -, 115. So try to save as much juice as
- 14:20you can. But either way, that's been
- 14:22consistently juiced up across the board, painted across the
- 14:25board, as my buddy Patrick Maher likes to say.
- 14:27So basically, pull back the curtain.
- 14:29Odds makers are telling us they're making us pay a higher
- 14:31price on the over because that's where the liability is.
- 14:34Now let's just look at First off, the bet splits. 85% bets,
- 14:3994% money is on this over. So once again, a low bets,
- 14:43higher dollars, bet split heavy prone Joe action on the over.
- 14:47Remember game four was a 5 to 4 game so he landed on 9/9 goals.
- 14:51But also that really wasn't a fluke.
- 14:53If you look at all the games these teams have played so far
- 14:55this year, you had the five four win by Vancouver, which again,
- 15:00don't get me started 'cause they blew the lead with Edmonton
- 15:03there. But then they played four games
- 15:05in the regular season, 8 to 1/4 to 3/6 to 2/3 to 1.
- 15:09So they've averaged 7.4 goals per game.
- 15:11I know it's rudimentary and you don't always want to just
- 15:14average things out because you want to take each game
- 15:16individually, but I think it just supports the fact that,
- 15:18hey, these teams are really good offensively.
- 15:20So Edmonton averages 3.6 goals per game.
- 15:24That is fourth most in the NHL. Vancouver averages 3.4 goals per
- 15:28game. That's the sixth most in the
- 15:29NHL. And not only that do they have
- 15:32good offense here, but the goalies are a little bit
- 15:35questionable. Stuart Skinner, who again was a
- 15:38sieve in the third period in game one he's got a three-point
- 15:42O one goals against 893 save percentage in the playoffs.
- 15:45Not very good. Sea Lobes, who is Vancouver
- 15:49starting goalie. He's been better 2.289 O eight
- 15:52save percentage. But I mentioned this prior to
- 15:55game one, which I thought was an advantage ended up not being as
- 15:58they lost but Edmonton's advantage over Sea Lobes because
- 16:02he's a six round pick. You know a guy whose third
- 16:05string came out of nowhere thrust into this spot.
- 16:07It's kind of a tough situation. Now you got to go up against of
- 16:10course, McDavid, dry Seidel, this really high-powered
- 16:13offensive Edmonton. So you add it all up here guys,
- 16:16we have a juiced up six over liability over good bet split
- 16:22two, good offenses, 2 questionable goaltenders.
- 16:24I'm looking for goals tonight. Give me the Edmonton, Vancouver
- 16:28over six and hopefully a Bruins win as well.
- 16:31Now to finish up the pod here before we get to our UFC biting
- 16:35play of the weekend. I do have a bet in the NBA.
- 16:38Now this one caught my eye. The Knicks and the Pacers.
- 16:41So this one's really interesting. 7:00 game tonight.
- 16:44Remember the Knicks are up to two and O or they're two and O
- 16:47in the series looking to take a three O lead.
- 16:49But there's some injuries here. Looks like Brunson's going to
- 16:53play. He's questionable expected to
- 16:54play. Remember in the last game he
- 16:56missed the whole second quarter, came back and went off and
- 16:59helped the Knicks win. Helped us cash that over.
- 17:02But you also look at OG Anunabi. Remember they picked him up a
- 17:06really good deadline deal, or it was around the deadline from the
- 17:09Toronto Raptors. Anunabi is expected to be out
- 17:12and they not only ruled him out tonight, but probably the second
- 17:14game. So no Anunabi and Brunson's
- 17:16banged up, which is why we're seeing such a big spread for the
- 17:20Pacers. The Pacers are -7, 1/2 tonight.
- 17:23Some shops open as low as like six, 6 1/2.
- 17:26Now it's up to seven, 7 1/2. So we've seen this line really
- 17:29creep up with the injuries to the Knicks.
- 17:31But I'm going to attack this total instead of the side.
- 17:35I'm going to focus on the total. I'm going to do exactly what we
- 17:37did the last game. I'm going to buy low and take
- 17:39the over. So this total open at 2:25.
- 17:42You know, healthy, Brunson healthy and noonaby 225.
- 17:46Those guys are one's out. One's questionable, although I
- 17:49do expect Brunson to play. Guy's a warrior.
- 17:51I think he's a really good player just in general.
- 17:54But Mark Cuban isn't happy to have let him go.
- 17:56Go for not a not a very big contract but anyway same thing.
- 17:59Remember last game the total fell a bunch.
- 18:01We bi load. I think it was 218 1/2 took the
- 18:04over. Same thing here this open 225.
- 18:06It's now down to 225 1/2 so 2 1/2 points.
- 18:10You can think of it this way. If you play the under, yes
- 18:12you're with the move but you're also getting the worst of it.
- 18:15Mentioned this last game but you know if this game lands two
- 18:1823224, the wise guys with the early under 225 win, you lose
- 18:24'cause you got the the worst of the number.
- 18:25So I'm going to buy a loan and go over over 225 1/2 and my
- 18:28angle here, a couple things going on.
- 18:31One, this Pacers team, they're six and two to the over this
- 18:34post season. They've scored, they score a
- 18:37lot. They have the number two
- 18:39offensive efficiency #2 pace. So they're fast, they score a
- 18:43lot and they're bad defensively #24 defensive efficiency.
- 18:46You also get the the, the referees here, all three refs.
- 18:50It's not a Scott Foster game, but all three refs are over.
- 18:53Refs. Brent Bernanke, Kevin Scott,
- 18:56James Capers. They're all between 51 and 54%
- 19:00to the over. And on the topic of referees,
- 19:03you also had Rick Carlisle really complain about the refs
- 19:07saying that they're missing a ton of calls.
- 19:09I think he listed like 78 calls that they missed or something.
- 19:12So usually in Carlisle got, he got fined $35,000.
- 19:17But usually when you complain about the refs that you just
- 19:19plant the little seed in their head and maybe they are a little
- 19:22more, I don't know, they call more fouls tonight because of it
- 19:25because of Carlisle's whining. Which will be fine with me
- 19:28'cause calling fouls is good for the over.
- 19:30You stop the clock, get free throws, add some points without
- 19:34take taking time off the clock. Hopefully that is an advantage
- 19:37there for the over. Also the over is 2 and O the
- 19:40series they've averaged 244 1/2 a game and Precious Precious
- 19:45Ochuwa I believe is expected to start in favor of a Noonabee and
- 19:49by the way to to put a little bow and bow and ribbon on this
- 19:53or a bow and rhythm I should say rhythm.
- 19:55Who powers this pod and does a great job of doing so is
- 19:58projecting A226 final score and yes that does account for the
- 20:03injuries. So if rhythm is projecting a 226
- 20:06and we're going to buy low and get the low watermark of an over
- 20:08225 1/2 that opened 225. That sounds like a value play to
- 20:12me guys. So it's not a sharp bet but a
- 20:14buy low value play. I'm going Knicks, Pacers over
- 20:18225. Again, Rhythm is projecting 226
- 20:22now to finish up the pod. We got some UFC little bit of
- 20:26biting in the arena. We have UFC Fight Night, Lewis
- 20:30versus Nachumento, and I'm going to focus on a big match up here
- 20:35between. Let me just pull it up.
- 20:38I always get these guys, their weights and their weight class
- 20:40screwed up, but this is going to be the featherweight bout
- 20:44between Alex Caceres and Sean Woodson.
- 20:48Now let's take a step back because, you know, we don't talk
- 20:51a ton of UFC. Usually I leave it up to Fridays
- 20:54because I want to let the data, you know, kind of pool in and
- 20:57look out for system matches and sharp line moves.
- 20:58But for those who are new to UFC, again, it's a sweat.
- 21:02Like like like no other. It's just insane when you're
- 21:05sweating one fighter or the other, 'cause you could
- 21:07literally win or lose at on any, at any moment.
- 21:09Kick, submission, choke, you know, whatever the case may be,
- 21:13guillotine choke. It is just a crazy sweat in
- 21:16general. Your heart's racing the whole
- 21:18time, so that's the appeal of course.
- 21:20But also, I developed a rudimentary model with the UFCI
- 21:24want a fighter who is younger, taller, has a longer reach, has
- 21:28a line move in their favor and has a good bet split in their
- 21:30favor. And then also there's some
- 21:31supplementary factors that I like to look at.
- 21:33So there is a perfect match here on Sean Woodson.
- 21:39I'm going Sean Woodson now. I got Sean Woodson at -215.
- 21:43I know it's kind of a hefty price here, but of course, bet
- 21:45Tris not bet to win. But let's first look at the line
- 21:48movement with the betting markets doing the betting market
- 21:51is moving toward Woodson. Woodson open around -185, now
- 21:55he's up to -215, so about a 30 cent steam move in favor of
- 21:58Woodson. Now at bet MGM, my buddy John
- 22:02Ewing gave me this bet fresh batch of data this morning.
- 22:04Woodson is getting 48% of bets but 82% of the money.
- 22:10So that is a massive low bets, higher dollars bet split,
- 22:13basically telling us public split.
- 22:15Yet all the big money is on Woodson 48% but 82% money.
- 22:19So we have the line move in the in the low bets, higher dollars.
- 22:24Now let's go to the tail of the tape.
- 22:25Sean Woodson is 31 years old. Alex Caceres is 35 years old.
- 22:30So Woodson is younger. Fade fighters 35 or older now
- 22:35Sean Woodson is 6 foot 2. Alex Caceres is 5 foot eight.
- 22:40That is a big height advantage for Woodson.
- 22:43Reach 78 inches for Woodson, 73, 1/2 for Caseras.
- 22:47So Woodson is literally checking off every box, younger, taller,
- 22:51longer reach line, move, bet, split.
- 22:54And also two other things I want to factor in.
- 22:56One look at the offense 'cause if a guy doesn't, you know,
- 23:00submit the other guy or knock him out.
- 23:03It goes to a decision and one thing that the the judges really
- 23:06look at is offense. How much offensive production
- 23:08have you put out? So advantage here, Woodson he is
- 23:12significant. Strikes landed per minute, 5.4
- 23:15versus 4.2 for Caceres. So Woodson is a little bit more
- 23:19offensive. And then I I joked about this at
- 23:20the beginning of the pod but this is a hometown bout for Sean
- 23:24Woodson. Sean Woodson hails from St.
- 23:26Louis, MO and this UFC bout takes place in St.
- 23:30Louis, MO and he has AI was reading about this, the little
- 23:34Nuggets you find when you're trying to get some info on a
- 23:36game. He's got a huge tattoo on his
- 23:38back. I don't know what it looks like
- 23:39but I guess it says Saint Louis. So you can imagine he's going to
- 23:42be amped and getting ready for and really up for this bout.
- 23:44Hopefully to win in front of his home crowd.
- 23:46So hopefully a home Octagon. Advantage, but younger, taller,
- 23:50taller reach. Younger, taller, longer reach
- 23:52line move low bets. Higher dollars.
- 23:54It's got it all hometown advantage.
- 23:56I'm going Sean Woodson to win this fight at -215.
- 24:02So that about does it for episode 41 of the All Systems Go
- 24:05sports betting podcast. Now reminder, if you enjoyed
- 24:08this pod then please will you help me grow this podcast,
- 24:11recommend it to a friend, but also you can do one thing to
- 24:14make my day and help us grow organically and that would be to
- 24:17give this pod a five star review.
- 24:19So if you're listening on on iTunes, Apple or of course
- 24:23Spotify, hey go pause this pod and then just go give it five
- 24:27stars really, really make a big difference as we continue to
- 24:31grow up the charts or rise the charts, which is great.
- 24:34Secondly, if you enjoy these type of breakdowns, of course it
- 24:38wasn't a good night last night. But hey, that's betting every
- 24:40now and again. You're going to have those
- 24:41nights where nothing goes your way, but you keep your head up,
- 24:44you keep grinding, you stick to it.
- 24:46I gotta have thick skin. Of course.
- 24:48What do you have to have to have thicker skin for?
- 24:50To be a sports bet or to be roasted like Tom Brady?
- 24:53I think you got to have a little bit of both.
- 24:54But anyway, if you enjoy these breakdowns, you want to learn
- 24:57more about how to be a sharp, data-driven contrarian.
- 24:59Better than guess what? I wrote a book.
- 25:01So just go to Amazon.com and type in the Everything Guide to
- 25:04Sports betting. Pick up a copy for you or for a
- 25:06friend. It would mean the world to me
- 25:08guys. It's got everything I've learned
- 25:09in the industry. How lines are set, how and why
- 25:11they move, how to read line movement, how to locate sharp
- 25:13action, how to place a bet in person or online.
- 25:16How to shop for the best line, how to set up a bankroll
- 25:18management plan, all included in the Everything Guide to Sports
- 25:21Betting. Then lastly, of course, I want
- 25:23to give a shout out to my two favorite sports betting apps.
- 25:26One is rhythm. As you guys all know, rhythm
- 25:29does a great job of powering this pod.
- 25:30But rhythm is as good as it gets for their AI data backed pics
- 25:34and props. Right now, obviously it's all
- 25:36about NBAI don't give enough love for golf.
- 25:38They're doing a fantastic job for golf as well.
- 25:41But if you haven't done it yet, I want you to give rhythm a shot
- 25:44so you can use rhythm to help you help you cash some plays.
- 25:48All you got to do is go to the bio or the description of this
- 25:51podcast within iTunes or Spotify.
- 25:54It'll give you a breakdown of today's pod at with kind of the
- 25:57itinerary what we're talking about.
- 25:58And then you Scroll down, boom, it's got a link to rhythm.
- 26:01Click that link. Give it a 7 day free trial.
- 26:03I think you're going to enjoy it.
- 26:05And then of course the second best sports betting pod out
- 26:07there is Juice Reel. Juice Reel is incredible.
- 26:10You can sync your sports book to the app that way.
- 26:13When you bet in your sports book, it automatically gets
- 26:15loaded on Juice Reel. It tracks your performance.
- 26:17You can learn more about yourself as a better.
- 26:19But the one I love is it gives you the sharp mush plays of the
- 26:22day where they give you the bets that their best betters are on
- 26:26on the same game as their worst betters are on and the worst
- 26:29betters are on one side and the best betters are on the other
- 26:31side. We'll take the other side.
- 26:33So again, it's not like you got to play everyone, but it's just
- 26:36more info you can use to make informed decisions.
- 26:39Also the Robo Jackson plays which come out twice a day at
- 26:42noon. Also the arbitrage place.
- 26:44You can grind out five bucks here, 10 bucks there.
- 26:47So it's all included when you sign up for Juice Reel.
- 26:50So if you haven't done it yet, give Juice Reel a shot with a 7
- 26:53day free trial. You can also sign up via that
- 26:55bio or description of this podcast.
- 26:57There'll be a link there for Juice Reel as well as Rhythm.
- 27:00With that being said, guys, another pod here in the books.
- 27:02Let's see if we can bounce back after a frustrating night last
- 27:05night. Let's see if the bees come out
- 27:07fighting, literally and figuratively, here tonight
- 27:09against the Florida Panthers. Let's see if we can cash some of
- 27:11these baseball, hockey, NBA and UFC tickets for tomorrow night.
- 27:16But that about does it, of course.
- 27:18Whether I see you at the Borgata in Atlantic City, Twin River and
- 27:21Rhode Island, in the Brooklyn, New Hampshire Foxwoods or
- 27:23Mohegan Sun. Down in Connecticut.
- 27:25At the encore in Boston or Plain Ridge Park Casino or MGM
- 27:28Springfield. In my neck of the woods in
- 27:29Massachusetts. Or out in the desert where the
- 27:32true grinders get down. Where Billy Walters sends his
- 27:34number runners. Where the lowest juice possible
- 27:36is found at the South Point. Or, of course, when sharp
- 27:38contrarian plays in the desert, at circa, jumping in the stadium
- 27:42swim pool. When you cash a ticket, wherever
- 27:44it may be, you're going to walk up to me.
- 27:45You're going to show me a Royals ticket and a Stars ticket.
- 27:48You got at least celebrate a couple wins there, But man.
- 27:50OK, C, Carolina, Yankees, Cleveland, St.
- 27:54Louis. That was disappointing.
- 27:55So if you got those tickets, we're going to rip them up.
- 27:57Make sure we recycle them, don't just throw them away.
- 27:59But that's all right. We'll bounce back here for
- 28:02today. So my parting words, as always,
- 28:03stay sharp, stay contrarian, Bet against the public, Place
- 28:06yourself on the side of the house.
- 28:07Always be with the smart money. Never against the, well, smart
- 28:10money one every time. Of course not.
- 28:12Again, a few of these losses would beat the closing line on.
- 28:15Just didn't go our way. But never get down on yourself.
- 28:18That's really important. It took me a while.
- 28:20And sports betting, you go 2 and 5, -, 3 units, you know you feel
- 28:24terrible. It ruins your day.
- 28:26Just try to brush it off. That's going to happen.
- 28:28You're going to go two and five. You're going to go five and two.
- 28:30Never get down on yourself when you're struggling.
- 28:32Never get cocky or arrogant when you're winning.
- 28:34Always. Even Keeling.
- 28:35If we can find that sweet spot games that fit our model against
- 28:38the public, with the house, with the pros, flat bet, avoid
- 28:42parlays, Get some closing line value.
- 28:44If we can do that, we're going to be successful sports bettors.
- 28:46So have a fantastic Friday night, everyone.
- 28:49Have an even better weekend Reminder.
- 28:51No pod on the weekends. Although when football comes
- 28:53back, I got some plans for some weekend pods which could be very
- 28:57special and exciting, but long while until football returns.
- 29:01But we'll be back at it on Monday for episode 42 of the All
- 29:05Systems Go Sports Betting Podcast.
- 29:07Presented by and powered by rhythm.
- 29:09Have a great Friday, everyone. Have an even better weekend.
- 29:12I'll see you back on Monday. Good luck.
