- 2:18Speaker 1: And so thank you in thank you Now, Before we
- 2:23Speaker 1: get into our recap, I always like to ask whether
- 2:25Speaker 1: you have any takeaways.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Well, my first takeaway is that we've heard so much
- 2:31Speaker 2: about Mary Janelle's relationship and I'm just like, yeah, but
- 2:34Speaker 2: I didn't like how it was framed at the beginning
- 2:36Speaker 2: of this episode, as if like Mary has no fault
- 2:40Speaker 2: and the reason why their relationship is bad. It kind
- 2:43Speaker 2: of felt like to me, like Mary was kind of
- 2:45Speaker 2: pawning it off on Janelle, and you know, she just
- 2:48Speaker 2: doesn't talk to me, and like, I care, I want
- 2:51Speaker 2: to work on things, but she keeps rejecting me. And
- 2:53Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, why is that? Maybe because you're a
- 2:56Speaker 2: mean old bitch.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Maybe because you're actually technically abusive.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Marry, just the thought.
- 3:02Speaker 1: So my takeaway is really uncharitable and rude. And it's
- 3:08Speaker 1: just that I can't stand anytime I see Robin's mother. Oh,
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't know why. There's something about her aura that's
- 3:17Speaker 1: very gargoyle a little bit. It's very she's kind of
- 3:21Speaker 1: the puppet master behind Robin, the puppet master, Like she
- 3:25Speaker 1: taught her how to be the hoe. I see how
- 3:28Speaker 1: you be the hoe and take over the whole family.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Every time she walks into a scene, I'm.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Like, oh, yeah, she doesn't give me good vibes me either.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And that's my only take That's all I got. All right,
- 3:39Speaker 1: without further ado, let's get into our recap. I have
- 3:42Speaker 1: Sister Wives Season ten, episode three.
- 3:45Speaker 2: And to tit tit confessions, and I don't know what
- 3:49Speaker 2: we're confessing here. Oh, because we start off like the
- 3:52Speaker 2: first half of the episode is Janelle and Mary talking
- 3:55Speaker 2: about their relationship, and a lot of it we've heard before.
- 3:59Speaker 2: They're complete opposites. They had a lot of issues. In
- 4:02Speaker 2: the beginning, we talk about like how Janelle kind of
- 4:06Speaker 2: came into the family. She was married to Mary's brother
- 4:10Speaker 2: for a ripe eleven months and then dumped him and
- 4:13Speaker 2: then immediately got with Cody, and Mary was jealous about it.
- 4:19Speaker 2: We all know this, but what we're skating around is
- 4:22Speaker 2: the fact that Mary took out her jealousy on Janelle
- 4:26Speaker 2: a lot and was super mean, and then that caused
- 4:29Speaker 2: a toxic, unhealthy family environment for everyone involved. It wasn't
- 4:34Speaker 2: just Mary and Janelle that we're suffering this, it was
- 4:36Speaker 2: everybody else. And I don't know, like we're we're just
- 4:40Speaker 2: like dancing around, like the core issues. We briefly talk
- 4:45Speaker 2: about Mary with her catfish and how she's like, I'm
- 4:47Speaker 2: still working on it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Can we get back to that. That's the whole reason
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm in season ten and excited is to talk about
- 4:53Speaker 1: the catfish. But once again, it's the whole episode where
- 4:56Speaker 1: we're not dealing with it.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think it's on purpose. I think we're doing a
- 5:00Speaker 2: bunch of other things to distract the public and distract
- 5:03Speaker 2: everybody else from the fact that Mary had a full
- 5:05Speaker 2: on emotional affair.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but if Robin and Kendra and even Cody kind
- 5:11Speaker 1: of were behind the scenes during the Catfish sort of
- 5:14Speaker 1: egging it on or whatever, or participating in some way
- 5:17Speaker 1: with the Catfish, why would they be doing that if
- 5:21Speaker 1: they didn't want anybody to know about it.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Maybe because they thought that they wouldn't get negative publicity
- 5:27Speaker 2: from it, But I bet you even back then, people
- 5:30Speaker 2: were coming for Cody and Robin and being like, why
- 5:32Speaker 2: would Mary even feel this way? I feel like a
- 5:35Speaker 2: lot of people have been kind of on Mary's side
- 5:38Speaker 2: with it, Like you can acknowledge that she cheated and
- 5:41Speaker 2: that was wrong obviously, and having an emotional affair is
- 5:43Speaker 2: not good when you're still a married woman. But I
- 5:46Speaker 2: feel like even people back then saw the writing on
- 5:48Speaker 2: the wall and saw that Cody was favoring Robin and
- 5:51Speaker 2: that he was being a piece of shit, And so
- 5:52Speaker 2: maybe that's why they're like pivoting away from it, or
- 5:55Speaker 2: maybe Mary is just super shameful and doesn't want to
- 5:57Speaker 2: talk about it, which I guess is fair.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I guess, but I mean, I wish they would talk
- 6:02Speaker 1: about it more. But that's the story of our life
- 6:05Speaker 1: and skipping ahead and I won't be labor it. But
- 6:07Speaker 1: when we get to the therapy session, like are we
- 6:09Speaker 1: even talking about anything? Like we're not talking about anything
- 6:13Speaker 1: that's real. What we know about what actually went down
- 6:16Speaker 1: with Mary and Janelle we kind of learned in the
- 6:19Speaker 1: last couple of current seasons from Janelle and Mary, like
- 6:22Speaker 1: talking to Sukanya and from Christine's book, actually, and it
- 6:27Speaker 1: sounds like it was really awful. It sounds like Mary
- 6:30Speaker 1: again was legit abusive. And then as you were mentioning
- 6:34Speaker 1: and I don't want to steal your thunder because you
- 6:35Speaker 1: should probably bring this up with the catfish in her book,
- 6:39Speaker 1: she said, what did she say? She said that Mary
- 6:46Speaker 1: had told her Jackie, who was at the time pretending
- 6:49Speaker 1: to be a dude Sam, Mary had told her that
- 6:53Speaker 1: Janelle and Mary got into such a terrible fight way
- 6:57Speaker 1: back in the day, in the beginning of their marriages,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and that Janelle actually punched Mary in.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Her belly, pregnant belly, her pregnant.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Belly, and it was unforgivable and from that moment on
- 7:10Speaker 1: for Mary, she couldn't go back with Janelle and so
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm thinking, like, what year is that, because Janelle, Mary's Cody.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Three years into Mary's marriage with Cody, Janelle proceeds to
- 7:25Speaker 1: immediately start getting prego, but it takes Mary a while.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Christine comes into the family immediately starts getting prego, and
- 7:33Speaker 1: I don't think Mary gets pregnant.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I feel think Leon was after like two or three kids, right,
- 7:40Speaker 2: because it was like Logan and then Maddie and then
- 7:44Speaker 2: I think as has been and I want to say,
- 7:47Speaker 2: like Leon is like the fourth or fifth or something
- 7:49Speaker 2: like that.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Right, So Mary was sitting back for a while seething
- 7:55Speaker 1: without a child.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So but like by the time she's pregnant with Leon,
- 8:02Speaker 1: they've been together, like Janelle's been in the family maybe
- 8:04Speaker 1: a couple.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Of years, yeah, to three years.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So I just I don't know. I just I want
- 8:09Speaker 1: to know more. And of course, current year of Our Lord,
- 8:13Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, we've got Leon out on the internet,
- 8:16Speaker 1: Oh my god, Yeah, trying to share their story of
- 8:20Speaker 1: their upbringing and basically saying nothing. We have Christine giving
- 8:25Speaker 1: some tidbits in her book, but like we just really
- 8:27Speaker 1: don't have anybody speaking openly about what happened. And it's
- 8:30Speaker 1: a drag Beatrice.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I really feel like the only people in the family
- 8:34Speaker 2: that have said anything kind of outing Mary have been
- 8:37Speaker 2: Christine a little bit in her book and Maddie on
- 8:40Speaker 2: Twitter or whatever that has MICHELTI since been deleted a
- 8:43Speaker 2: ma Chelt. So like, we have these snippets, and to
- 8:47Speaker 2: me and to everybody who's heard this, I'm like, it
- 8:49Speaker 2: sounds like Mary was really bad. And you know, in
- 8:52Speaker 2: this episode, Mary talks about it like, yeah, I would
- 8:55Speaker 2: just you know, say things, would just say what came
- 8:57Speaker 2: to my mind. And Janelle didn't like that.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm like, that's not that's not the full truth, as
- 9:02Speaker 1: if that was what her problem was. Yeah, here's what
- 9:05Speaker 1: I contributed to the toxic vibration of the relationship. I
- 9:09Speaker 1: was very direct because I come from a father who
- 9:12Speaker 1: was a very good communicator, and so that's just who
- 9:14Speaker 1: I am. M I'm like, elaborate what else.
- 9:19Speaker 2: And it's like the verbiage that she's using to frame it,
- 9:22Speaker 2: like to say that you're very direct is not necessarily
- 9:24Speaker 2: a negative trait, But to say like, yeah, I was
- 9:27Speaker 2: verbally abusive, like that would be telling the full truth
- 9:30Speaker 2: of like, you know, cause you can be direct and
- 9:32Speaker 2: verbally abusive. You can be sure, direct and very mean,
- 9:36Speaker 2: but you can also be direct and kind about it,
- 9:38Speaker 2: or you can be honest with kindness. So it's like
- 9:41Speaker 2: Mary is annoying me in this episode because she's not
- 9:44Speaker 2: saying the full truth and she keeps putting it on
- 9:47Speaker 2: Janelle and like blaming Janelle for shutting down, for not
- 9:51Speaker 2: wanting to talk about things, for having to just think
- 9:54Speaker 2: about it for a few minutes of like how she
- 9:57Speaker 2: wants to articulate her feelings or what she's act actually feeling.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Like Mary blames her for that and it's really gross.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Like I just don't like that at all. And I
- 10:08Speaker 2: just wish that Mary could, I don't know, tell the
- 10:10Speaker 2: truth for once in her life.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Yeah, or have some self reflection. And I guess when
- 10:14Speaker 1: we get to therapy there is a little bit of
- 10:15Speaker 1: self reflection, but it seems a bit forced.
- 10:18Speaker 2: It's super superficial.
- 10:19Speaker 1: It's also sad that it took these ladies twenty years
- 10:22Speaker 1: to come to some very basic psychological understanding of each other.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's my other issue with it, is that
- 10:29Speaker 2: we're also skating across the idea that what these women
- 10:32Speaker 2: are actually feeling is jealousy over one another because they're
- 10:35Speaker 2: having to share their husband because they're in this like weird.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I don't even know that Janelle was jealous.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Though probably not, but she probably felt like I don't know,
- 10:43Speaker 2: like Mary, like why are you even upset with me?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Like we join this religion for a reason, this is
- 10:49Speaker 2: the tenet of our religion.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Well, and Janelle says in this episode, I came into
- 10:53Speaker 1: this marriage and I thought like it was going to
- 10:55Speaker 1: be so awesome because I was getting along with Mary
- 10:57Speaker 1: and I knew Mary.
- 10:59Speaker 2: But nope, and now I appreciate in this episode, even
- 11:02Speaker 2: though she's got her own issues obviously, like she's at
- 11:05Speaker 2: least articulating some of her problems, Like I came into
- 11:09Speaker 2: this really naive, like thinking that we could come into
- 11:12Speaker 2: it and everything would work out fine and we'd have
- 11:14Speaker 2: no issues whatsoever. And you know, I underestimated that. And
- 11:18Speaker 2: she talks about how she's learning about herself now that
- 11:22Speaker 2: she does shut down. She checks out that's not a
- 11:25Speaker 2: healthy way of communicating. She wants to be better about it,
- 11:28Speaker 2: but it's uncomfortable for her. It's like something she's not
- 11:31Speaker 2: used to doing. And then we talk about like Christine
- 11:34Speaker 2: joining the family and how she ended up being like
- 11:38Speaker 2: this calming element, and even Cody says this, like Christine
- 11:41Speaker 2: definitely brought in this calming energy, this grounding energy to
- 11:45Speaker 2: this chaosome between Mary and Janelle. Christine had to be
- 11:49Speaker 2: like the mediator between the two of them. She had
- 11:52Speaker 2: to communicate for them to each other, which is just crazy.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And I wonder how Christine actually feels about being in
- 12:00Speaker 2: that position, because if it were me, I probably would
- 12:02Speaker 2: resent that after a while, because like, get a grip.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all are adults.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Holy shit. And so they're gonna end up going to
- 12:09Speaker 2: therapy with Nancy, who's like probably the worst therapist I've
- 12:12Speaker 2: ever seen in my life. But before that, we have
- 12:15Speaker 2: to do Robin's dumbass baby shower.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Because we have even one episode that's not centered on Robin.
- 12:23Speaker 2: The only thing that I thought was interesting was that
- 12:25Speaker 2: we had Mindy, Robin's niece, Oh yes, interviewed a little
- 12:29Speaker 2: bit in this episode because she's helping Christine plan this
- 12:32Speaker 2: baby shower, and we have like a little interstitial with
- 12:35Speaker 2: Mindy kind of talking about plural marriage and how she
- 12:38Speaker 2: grew up around it. She's very familiar with it, and
- 12:41Speaker 2: she says something like, you know, there's a lot of
- 12:43Speaker 2: things that the Browns do that are that's inspiring to
- 12:47Speaker 2: me with plural marriage, Like, I feel like they do
- 12:49Speaker 2: some things right, but there's things that I would do differently,
- 12:52Speaker 2: and they're not perfect, and I wouldn't live plural marriage myself,
- 12:57Speaker 2: but like, you know, it seems like they're good people
- 13:00Speaker 2: and they're trying their best. And I was like, huh,
- 13:02Speaker 2: that's interesting because it seems like Mindy is primarily around
- 13:06Speaker 2: like Robin and Cody, Yes, and so if she's observing
- 13:09Speaker 2: the family from Robin and Cody's vantage point, I'm like,
- 13:13Speaker 2: are you seeing what they're doing wrong?
- 13:15Speaker 1: Or are you like it's probably all being filtered through
- 13:18Speaker 1: Robin and what Robin is saying to Mindy about Mary
- 13:22Speaker 1: being catfished and Christine being insecure and Janelle being this
- 13:26Speaker 1: or that, So that's probably what it's based on.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yikes. Yeah, I just thought that was an interesting little
- 13:31Speaker 2: tidbit there. But we're having everybody get ready for the
- 13:35Speaker 2: baby shower, and Christine's going all out, like she's got
- 13:38Speaker 2: all these decorations, she's got.
- 13:39Speaker 1: The table cloths, she's having fun, she's.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Having so much fun. We know Christine loves to plan
- 13:44Speaker 2: a party. Janelle is like, I'm overwhelmed already, but I'll
- 13:47Speaker 2: bring cupcakes or whatever. So she brings cupcakes over and
- 13:51Speaker 2: it's really sweet. And the whole time we're decorating for
- 13:54Speaker 2: this baby shower, I'm just thinking to myself, how can
- 13:56Speaker 2: Robin say that the family didn't accept her? And like,
- 14:00Speaker 2: how can Robin say to this day that they didn't
- 14:04Speaker 2: care about her, they didn't accept her, they didn't love
- 14:06Speaker 2: her when they threw this huge baby shower for her baby, Like,
- 14:11Speaker 2: they didn't have to do that if they didn't like her,
- 14:13Speaker 2: but they did and it was really fun. And then
- 14:15Speaker 2: when Robin comes over for the ultimate baby shower, like
- 14:19Speaker 2: she comes over with kind of a mean face a
- 14:21Speaker 2: little bit. She's like kind of dour, but then she
- 14:23Speaker 2: ends up having some fun. They play some games or whatever,
- 14:27Speaker 2: and she's like, oh, it was like a good time. Okay,
- 14:30Speaker 2: the family loves you.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 14:32Speaker 2: So what's the deal in season twenty twenty one.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Well, they're rewriting history. It's their revisionist history. It's just
- 14:39Speaker 1: like I also wonder whether all of these family celebrations
- 14:44Speaker 1: are actually driven by production, Like, Okay, we've got to
- 14:47Speaker 1: do another event. It's like this the Real Housewives. They're
- 14:50Speaker 1: always going to some Housewives dinner or some Housewives party,
- 14:54Speaker 1: and that's kind of the scene of the drama that happens.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So it kind of feels a little bit like that.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So maybe if if I'm playing demon Devil's advocate, maybe
- 15:04Speaker 1: Robin looks back at this point and says, well, that
- 15:07Speaker 1: was all disingenuous. That was just for the show. They
- 15:09Speaker 1: didn't really want to do any.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Of that even then, And like, Robin, look at yourself,
- 15:13Speaker 2: though you stole all these women's husband.
- 15:15Speaker 1: What are you doing for any of the other wives? No,
- 15:17Speaker 1: for real, I don't really see any of that from you.
- 15:20Speaker 2: We haven't seen you plan anything for them. Actually, like
- 15:23Speaker 2: literally nothing you get but her. When Mary wants to
- 15:26Speaker 2: go back to college, you don't do anything to support her.
- 15:29Speaker 2: So I don't know, baby shower's cute or whatever. She's
- 15:32Speaker 2: gonna have a baby, girl, it's gonna be a she sucks.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I just don't care.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I don't care either.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And so the last portion of the episode is Janelle
- 15:39Speaker 2: and Mary finally going to therapy with Nancy, who is
- 15:43Speaker 2: totally dud. Like you said at the beginning of this episode,
- 15:46Speaker 2: she's such a dud. And Janelle starts off therapy being like,
- 15:51Speaker 2: I don't want this to turn into something where we
- 15:55Speaker 2: have to rehash the past.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Okay, stop, Yeah, I mean I don't think that's how
- 16:00Speaker 1: therapy works. No, And I think if you have a
- 16:02Speaker 1: long standing, two decade old issue with somebody that has
- 16:06Speaker 1: aspects of abuse and miscommunication, like you're gonna have to
- 16:09Speaker 1: maybe dig into what the problem was. Janelle, you're so avoidant.
- 16:15Speaker 1: You don't want to talk about any of that. You
- 16:16Speaker 1: just want to work on like the building blocks for
- 16:18Speaker 1: a new relationship. Well that's not realistic.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And Mary calls that out in therapy. She's like, I
- 16:24Speaker 2: just don't understand how that can really work if we
- 16:27Speaker 2: don't talk about the past, like we do have to
- 16:29Speaker 2: kind of work through some of that. And then Nancy
- 16:31Speaker 2: comes in saying, well, if you want to reconstruct like
- 16:35Speaker 2: a present what does she say if you want to
- 16:38Speaker 2: reconstruct a present and future relationship? You know, the way
- 16:41Speaker 2: that we can talk about the past is saying when
- 16:44Speaker 2: you didn't feel safe?
- 16:46Speaker 1: And I'm just like, can we got the word safe?
- 16:49Speaker 1: It's not why? Well, because she physically assaulted me, I
- 16:53Speaker 1: don't feel safe literally because she was verbally abusive to
- 16:56Speaker 1: me and called me names. I don't feel safe, Like,
- 16:58Speaker 1: tell me why you're not safe. Yeah, let's bring it
- 17:01Speaker 1: into the light. Sunlight is the greatest disinfectant. Yeah, but
- 17:04Speaker 1: these people are constantly in the shadows and trying to
- 17:08Speaker 1: hide the truth from us obviously, but I think also
- 17:11Speaker 1: from themselves.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Oh totally. And you're right that Janelle is completely avoidant
- 17:16Speaker 2: and like Mary is too in her own way. I
- 17:18Speaker 2: think everybody in this family is kind of avoidant in
- 17:21Speaker 2: some way, shape or form. Christine doesn't seem to be well,
- 17:24Speaker 2: I mean like the opiate's.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Oh well, I mean she's okay, I guess, but it's
- 17:29Speaker 1: like to want to engage in because she does.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and she is more expressive, and even in Mary's regards,
- 17:35Speaker 2: she is a little bit more expressive than somebody like Janelle. Now,
- 17:39Speaker 2: Mary doesn't express in the right way or in like
- 17:42Speaker 2: a healthy way. She expresses lies, yes, but like she
- 17:46Speaker 2: at least kind of brings up some of her feelings.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Janelle did frustrate me with that comment a little bit.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I'm like, girl, that's not what therapy is.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Like.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I have known people in my life, like friends and
- 17:58Speaker 2: people I've encountered who have said that to me, been like,
- 18:01Speaker 2: I don't want to go to therapy because I don't
- 18:04Speaker 2: want to talk about my past because what does my
- 18:06Speaker 2: past have to do with what I'm going through in
- 18:08Speaker 2: my life?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Literally?
- 18:09Speaker 2: Everything, literally everything, Like you have to talk about it, right, like,
- 18:14Speaker 2: and I know it sucks, it's gonna bring up painful
- 18:16Speaker 2: shit and it's gonna get worse before it gets better,
- 18:19Speaker 2: but like, you do have to talk about it. I
- 18:22Speaker 2: think Janelle, if I'm to play a little bit of
- 18:24Speaker 2: Devil's advocate, I think Janelle said that because she doesn't
- 18:27Speaker 2: want shit to escalate with Mary, because probably talking about
- 18:31Speaker 2: their past issues causes more fights between her and Mary
- 18:35Speaker 2: and Mary Janelle doesn't want to deal with that, Like
- 18:38Speaker 2: she doesn't want to deal with conflict. She especially doesn't
- 18:40Speaker 2: want to deal with Mary being super direct with her.
- 18:44Speaker 2: And that's Janelle's words. Janelle's like, I don't want to
- 18:47Speaker 2: deal with your directness because I take offense to it. Yeah,
- 18:50Speaker 2: because she's mean. But we talk in therapy about really nothing.
- 18:55Speaker 2: It's about how different they are in their communication styles.
- 18:58Speaker 2: We have this like little exercize where Nancy's like, Okay,
- 19:02Speaker 2: I want you guys to switch roles and talk as
- 19:04Speaker 2: each other. And Janelle is nervous about this because she
- 19:08Speaker 2: doesn't want to offend Mary. But this is a process
- 19:11Speaker 2: that you have to do. I'm sure in relationship therapy
- 19:14Speaker 2: you just kind of have to think about it from
- 19:16Speaker 2: the other person's perspective, because I think Nancy says something
- 19:20Speaker 2: to Mary like, you can't assume what somebody is going
- 19:25Speaker 2: through in their mind or what they're thinking, because then
- 19:27Speaker 2: you're going to attach yourself to that and it's not
- 19:29Speaker 2: actually reality.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah, And she also says, well, I think Mary is
- 19:33Speaker 1: worried because she's like, well, I don't want to impersonate
- 19:36Speaker 1: Janelle because I only have my thoughts of who Janelle is.
- 19:40Speaker 1: And Nancy says, well, that's a good place to start,
- 19:43Speaker 1: because you can reveal what your thoughts are on Janelle
- 19:46Speaker 1: and then we can kind of deal with it from there.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So that was helpful. But I just felt like both
- 19:51Speaker 1: ladies were so nice to the other, like they didn't
- 19:56Speaker 1: actually speak in the voice of the other person in
- 19:58Speaker 1: a way that was indicative of the conflict that has
- 20:01Speaker 1: happened between them. Yeah, Like if I were Janelle, I
- 20:03Speaker 1: would have maybe mirrored some of the abusive languaging that
- 20:07Speaker 1: Mary has been using over the years, and I would
- 20:09Speaker 1: have brought that out, but this is a fake therapy session,
- 20:12Speaker 1: I guess, And so we're just not going to deal
- 20:14Speaker 1: in realities, Okay.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, we're just going to be there on the
- 20:17Speaker 2: bush and we're just going to talk about how we
- 20:19Speaker 2: just have different communication styles and like that's the issue,
- 20:22Speaker 2: not the fact that Mary's a bully and Janelle's conflict
- 20:25Speaker 2: of wouldn't We're going to talk about, well, I just
- 20:27Speaker 2: don't know how to communicate.
- 20:28Speaker 1: It's just who we are as people. And that's perfectly okay.
- 20:31Speaker 2: And that drives me nuts because there's sometimes like your
- 20:35Speaker 2: behavior is not the right way.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Just because that's who you are, and objectively it's wrong.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Yes, Like just because that's who you are, it doesn't
- 20:42Speaker 2: mean that you have to stay that way. Like some
- 20:44Speaker 2: day you can change, you can grow as a person.
- 20:47Speaker 2: You can learn to be more expressive, or you can
- 20:49Speaker 2: learn to be a little bit more like patient and
- 20:52Speaker 2: listen to people. Like I don't know why we have
- 20:54Speaker 2: to just be like I'm Mary and I'm direct and
- 20:58Speaker 2: I'm honest, and that's just how I'm to be.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I'm going to apologize for it because I'm awesome, Okay,
- 21:04Speaker 1: great therapy. We really changed to shift a lot.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I can't stand there.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's stupid.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And then we hear from Cody and his interstitials while
- 21:13Speaker 2: they're at therapy.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He's not hopeful, no, for these two ladies.
- 21:16Speaker 2: He literally is like Janella and Mary are completely different
- 21:20Speaker 2: people in every single way. Like the only thing they
- 21:23Speaker 2: have in common is that they're both women.
- 21:24Speaker 1: They have a long road ahead of them, and at
- 21:27Speaker 1: some point he says something like all I can really
- 21:29Speaker 1: do is pray to have the faith that they can change. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 1: not pray that they can change, Pray that I can
- 21:38Speaker 1: even believe for a second that they can change, because
- 21:41Speaker 1: at this point I don't have that belief at all.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And I honestly think that hinges on Mary because Cody
- 21:49Speaker 1: detests Mary. And this is all going to come out,
- 21:52Speaker 1: I think, in this next this season and next season,
- 21:55Speaker 1: because he's going to sit down and counseling with Mary
- 21:57Speaker 1: and we're really going to see the scope of his emotions. Yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 1: and he is angry, and he's been angry the entire marriage.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you that, because do you think
- 22:08Speaker 2: Cody was fed up before he met Robin, like fed
- 22:11Speaker 2: up with Mary before he met Robin. Or do you
- 22:13Speaker 2: think that when he met Robin and realized that love
- 22:16Speaker 2: could be like so, I do.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Not think it was an epiphany.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Nope.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I think that they were fighting the entire time. I
- 22:22Speaker 1: think Mary was a problem the entire time. I think
- 22:24Speaker 1: we have Cody in the upcoming therapy session saying something like,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you lied to me. Yeah, and he never explains what
- 22:31Speaker 1: Mary lied to him about, but he says something like,
- 22:33Speaker 1: you lied to me from the beginning, as if the
- 22:36Speaker 1: very premise of their marriage, the reason he proposed in
- 22:40Speaker 1: the first place, was based on a lie. That was
- 22:43Speaker 1: my impression when I saw that particular therapy session which
- 22:46Speaker 1: is coming up in the future. So it's like Mary
- 22:49Speaker 1: from the very beginning has done something wrong in his eyes.
- 22:54Speaker 2: What do you think it would be with your fake psychic.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Don't I don't know. Oh, I mean maybe maybe Mary said, yes,
- 23:04Speaker 1: I think we should have a plural family. Yes, I'm
- 23:07Speaker 1: really into it and I'm supportive of it and I
- 23:09Speaker 1: want it. And then we bring in Janelle and Mary
- 23:11Speaker 1: proceeds to abuse Janelle, and Cody's like, what are you doing?
- 23:16Speaker 1: You lied? And now our entire family is going to
- 23:18Speaker 1: be fucked up because of it. But I don't know.
- 23:20Speaker 1: It could be something different than that. And I always
- 23:23Speaker 1: wondered that, And I'm wondering if you're out there, for example,
- 23:26Speaker 1: if you're on YouTube and you remember the therapy session
- 23:28Speaker 1: I'm talking about, what do you think Cody was referencing
- 23:31Speaker 1: when he said that.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Because I could kind of see that, and you know,
- 23:34Speaker 2: from Cody's like dumb perspective, maybe it is something like,
- 23:37Speaker 2: you know, he thought Mary would be okay with plural marriage,
- 23:40Speaker 2: and so then he starts getting all these whys.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Maybe she wasn't a virgin, Oh.
- 23:45Speaker 2: My god, but he wasn't either.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Yeah, a gay lover. But I mean there's such a
- 23:49Speaker 1: double standard in all religion, but particularly Mormonism. That actually
- 23:52Speaker 1: happened to one of my husbands. I won't just close
- 23:55Speaker 1: with one because I don't want it to be traced
- 23:58Speaker 1: to anybody. Yeah, but he married a woman who said
- 24:02Speaker 1: she was a virgin and he was a virgin, and
- 24:05Speaker 1: she turned out he married her Catholic boy.
- 24:08Speaker 2: And then he didn't find out until they were fugging.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Like three years later later she was not a virgin.
- 24:14Speaker 1: That's horrible. Yeah, so it could be something like that.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Oh my god. Well, but Cody, you had a gay.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Lover, so like well, and maybe the agreement was that
- 24:23Speaker 1: Mary would peg him and she did.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Maybe that was the lie you betrayed me. You didn't
- 24:30Speaker 2: put it on my head.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yes, I don't know, God, but there's something bigger there. Yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 1: It hasn't been written in a book, but it is
- 24:38Speaker 1: constantly implied. M And it's also in the energy. Like
- 24:42Speaker 1: Cody does not like Mary, it doesn't like Christine as well.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But with Christine he's revolted. Yeah, like he's grossed out
- 24:50Speaker 1: by Christine for whatever reason. And if you read Christine's book,
- 24:53Speaker 1: which by the way, we cover on Patreon. We did
- 24:56Speaker 1: four separate episodes like an hour a pop. In christine book,
- 25:00Speaker 1: she talks about when they got married and started having
- 25:06Speaker 1: the sexicals like Cody would make her wear her Mormon underwear, yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 1: or like be almost fully clothed, and it's probably because
- 25:15Speaker 1: he couldn't stand to see her body. I think Cody
- 25:19Speaker 1: has been revolted by Christine from the beginning, and he's
- 25:23Speaker 1: been angry at Mary from the beginning.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I can see that.
- 25:27Speaker 1: And remember in the last season, I know this is
- 25:29Speaker 1: a tangent. But do you remember during his apology tour
- 25:32Speaker 1: when he goes to see Janelle and he's like, I
- 25:36Speaker 1: really should have protected you. Like we had something really special,
- 25:40Speaker 1: me and you, and I didn't protect it from that
- 25:42Speaker 1: awful monster Mary. So I mean, I think I think
- 25:47Speaker 1: that's how he felt about I think he only loved
- 25:50Speaker 1: Janelle until Robin came along.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, And I've seen people comment on our YouTube, on
- 25:55Speaker 2: various other videos saying that, like Janelle was the original
- 25:57Speaker 2: Robin in that he favored her probably over the other
- 26:01Speaker 2: two wives, and then Robin came along, and then she
- 26:04Speaker 2: became his favorite. And I could see that, and you know,
- 26:07Speaker 2: we could have a conversation all day every day about
- 26:09Speaker 2: why that would be the case. But like if Mary's
- 26:12Speaker 2: crazy and Christine's crazy, then yeah, like probably, yeah, Janelle
- 26:17Speaker 2: is probably gonna be the favorite wife because she has
- 26:18Speaker 2: been kind of calm, cool, collected. She's totally Torrian in
- 26:22Speaker 2: this episode. I feel like, yeah, not in the avoidant sense.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, just like a Taurus will tell you how they feel, sure.
- 26:28Speaker 2: The bull, but like in the sense of I just
- 26:30Speaker 2: want everything to be okay. Like after therapy, they go
- 26:34Speaker 2: shopping for Thanksgiving decorations, and Chanelle says something really sweet
- 26:37Speaker 2: where she's just like, you know, I really love the holidays.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I want everybody to be together, even if I'm a
- 26:42Speaker 2: little delusional in thinking that we could all just fake
- 26:45Speaker 2: it for a day, Like I really just want to
- 26:47Speaker 2: have the holidays. I want everybody to be at home
- 26:49Speaker 2: and enjoy good food and enjoy family because that's what
- 26:51Speaker 2: it's all about. And that I'm like, that's really sweet.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And Mary says something like Janelle's always been for the family,
- 26:58Speaker 2: Like despite all of their calm, despite any conflicts that
- 27:01Speaker 2: they've had in the family, Janelle has always been rooted
- 27:05Speaker 2: in the family unit, which is really important. Similar to Christine,
- 27:09Speaker 2: Like Christine was always about the kids and stuff, even
- 27:11Speaker 2: though she wasn't necessarily a perfect mom and she was
- 27:13Speaker 2: high on opiates for a period of time, she was
- 27:16Speaker 2: also very much about the family. And I think that's
- 27:19Speaker 2: why Cody kept those women on it in particular the longest,
- 27:23Speaker 2: because they did kind of maintain the illusion of this
- 27:27Speaker 2: plural marriage thing can kind of work, like, oh, we'll
- 27:30Speaker 2: have all the kids around and we'll have our houses
- 27:33Speaker 2: and we'll pretend like we're a happy family because We've
- 27:35Speaker 2: got these other women that are helping the facade while
- 27:38Speaker 2: I'm fucking my main bitch and my mc mansion with
- 27:41Speaker 2: all of her dolls watching me.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Oh god, you know it's true. Yeah, I can totally
- 27:49Speaker 1: I can totally see that.
- 27:51Speaker 2: So we conclude Mary and Janelle's like dumb fake therapy
- 27:56Speaker 2: session by Nancy saying something like, you guys both have
- 28:00Speaker 2: unique strengths that if you guys actually want to work
- 28:03Speaker 2: on your relationship together, you can help each other. You
- 28:06Speaker 2: can help each other grow, but you know, you have
- 28:09Speaker 2: to try, you have to want to have a better
- 28:12Speaker 2: relationship with each other, and maybe we can do that.
- 28:15Speaker 2: And like you said, Cody says, they have a long road.
- 28:18Speaker 2: He doesn't seem very hopeful about it. And of course
- 28:21Speaker 2: we know in twenty twenty six, like they don't really have.
- 28:24Speaker 1: A relationship together, the same relationship.
- 28:26Speaker 2: It's pretty terrible. And like it was interesting because Mary
- 28:29Speaker 2: in this episode has a comment about, you know, despite
- 28:33Speaker 2: everything that Janelle and I have gone through, I know
- 28:36Speaker 2: that if it came down to it, Janelle would have
- 28:37Speaker 2: my back.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And Janelle says the same thing about Mary.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And it's really interesting because we see in twenty twenty six,
- 28:43Speaker 2: Janelle did have Mary's back, but I was thinking.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Did she I have about the property that she wanted
- 28:48Speaker 1: to sell out from under Mary? Maybe, but she warned.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Her about the divorce, She warned her about the property
- 28:54Speaker 2: situation before all of that, and there was a lot
- 28:57Speaker 2: of gray area with that. But I'm like, did Mary
- 28:59Speaker 2: have Janelle's back? I don't think so.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I don't think so either, certainly not in the last
- 29:05Speaker 1: couple of years Mary was about Mary. I also wanted
- 29:07Speaker 1: to point out at the baby shower, Jen was there,
- 29:10Speaker 1: Jen Mary's friend. Oh I didn't notice from current seasons,
- 29:15Speaker 1: which kind of speaks to the question that we've been asking, like,
- 29:18Speaker 1: did Mary not have any friends during the Catfish that
- 29:21Speaker 1: she could have been talking to about this? She certainly did.
- 29:24Speaker 1: One of those people was Jen, and I wouldn't be
- 29:26Speaker 1: a bit surprised if Jen was encouraging her to do it.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I mean's like, yes, girl, go get it, get out
- 29:31Speaker 1: of this cocked up family. You don't need to be
- 29:33Speaker 1: in this family, which ties into Janelle talking in our
- 29:37Speaker 1: last season in the tell Alls with Sue Kanya talking
- 29:41Speaker 1: about how Jen told Janelle that Gent told Mary take
- 29:45Speaker 1: the money and run. Oh yeah, maybe it's all around.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Maybe it's happening around this time in the season.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, my god, there's so much behind the scenes that
- 29:54Speaker 2: you just not letting on.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It's like that meme with all the things and trying
- 29:58Speaker 1: to figure out.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there's so many pieces that we have to piece
- 30:03Speaker 2: together out of all these seasons. It's crazy. So after therapy,
- 30:07Speaker 2: then Mary and Janelle decide to go shopping for Thanksgiving and.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Darry She's immediately annoyed with Janelle for just being a
- 30:12Speaker 1: normal person having fun picking out a wreath.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Like this is the problem. Like Mary can't just like
- 30:17Speaker 2: chill the fuck out.
- 30:18Speaker 1: But I think she can when she's out with like
- 30:20Speaker 1: Jen and she's out with her other friends and her
- 30:23Speaker 1: wine moms, Like I think she can be a good
- 30:25Speaker 1: friend at Disneyland. But if it's Christine or if it's Janelle,
- 30:29Speaker 1: she just can't do it.
- 30:31Speaker 2: And I don't know if it's because these are her
- 30:34Speaker 2: sister wives and so she's jealous of them, and so
- 30:36Speaker 2: she's just angry and resentful of them in general for
- 30:39Speaker 2: just fucking her husband while she's celibate, Like she doesn't
- 30:43Speaker 2: get to have her Punini touch. She's sucking on a
- 30:46Speaker 2: banana just to get some relief. It's like, maybe that's
- 30:48Speaker 2: the reason, But I don't know if it's because of
- 30:50Speaker 2: that or if it's because her friends that she surrounds
- 30:54Speaker 2: herself with communicate to her in a way that she
- 30:56Speaker 2: finds acceptable, because it does seem like Janelle gets annoy
- 31:00Speaker 2: by these women and how they express themselves and how
- 31:03Speaker 2: they communicate.
- 31:03Speaker 1: And that's what's frustrating to me, Like you have to
- 31:06Speaker 1: marry Mary gets annoyed.
- 31:07Speaker 2: By it, Yeah, okay, And you have to be able
- 31:08Speaker 2: to like accept that people are different from you, like
- 31:10Speaker 2: you're not gonna think like you Capricorn.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And furthermore, Janelle was being really cute and sweet, and
- 31:17Speaker 1: I'm just not like Janelle to care about decorations for Thanksgiving.
- 31:20Speaker 1: And she's kind of going out on a limb and
- 31:22Speaker 1: she's wanting to do it with you because Mary, you're
- 31:24Speaker 1: big into decorations. And so she finds this wreath and
- 31:28Speaker 1: this little boutique and she's like should I get it?
- 31:30Speaker 1: Should I not get it? And Mary becomes exasperated with her,
- 31:33Speaker 1: and she's like, oh my god, just get the wreaths,
- 31:35Speaker 1: like it's not a big deal. I'm like, and that's
- 31:38Speaker 1: that's the problem, Like you don't have any grace for Janelle.
- 31:40Speaker 1: And it's because of everything that has come before. It's
- 31:43Speaker 1: not just because Mary's an awful person, although that too, yeah,
- 31:47Speaker 1: but it's also because of the two decades that preceded
- 31:50Speaker 1: this moment in which they've been having this terrible problem
- 31:52Speaker 1: which they won't talk about at all.
- 31:56Speaker 2: And watching this actually made me have some self reflection
- 31:58Speaker 2: for how I was when I was a teenagers. Like
- 32:01Speaker 2: watching this behavior from a forty four year old for real,
- 32:06Speaker 2: but like watching this behavior from a forty four year
- 32:08Speaker 2: old woman was so unbecoming because I acted like this
- 32:11Speaker 2: to my little sister when I was a.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Teen My god, just get the wreath already.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Literally, Like I was like that with my sister, who
- 32:17Speaker 2: was a very like methodical kind of a person. She
- 32:20Speaker 2: did have to think about things for a while, and
- 32:23Speaker 2: she did things a certain way. Uh aries, but she's
- 32:27Speaker 2: a Libra moon, I think, no librerizing. Oh okay, she's
- 32:31Speaker 2: a Sagittarius moon though.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Oh gosh, so.
- 32:34Speaker 2: We didn't but heads a lot of powder cake, yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 2: a little bit, but growing up, like she would do
- 32:38Speaker 2: things a certain way and it would drive me nuts
- 32:40Speaker 2: because I'm like that's the wrong way to do it.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I would get super stubborn about it, and I would
- 32:45Speaker 2: kind of act like Mary. I would get really exacerbated
- 32:47Speaker 2: with her and frustrated. But you know, I'm an adult
- 32:50Speaker 2: now and I'm thirty and I've had years of therapy
- 32:54Speaker 2: or whatever, and I'm like, oh, that wasn't right, and
- 32:56Speaker 2: i sense apologized to my sister. Okay, I was a kid,
- 33:00Speaker 2: But that's my point is like I acted like that
- 33:03Speaker 2: as an unregulated teenager going through puberty, and Mary is
- 33:08Speaker 2: acting like that as a forty four something year old.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Going through Perrymotoposa. But like, get a grip, though, word,
- 33:15Speaker 1: get a c I don't know what else to say, Like,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I just I'm exasperated by these people.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I just can't. Like it frustrated me that Mary
- 33:23Speaker 2: was getting annoyed with Janelle pondering about if she should
- 33:26Speaker 2: get this wreath. It's like not a.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Big deal at all, No, it's not.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I just but like Christine and Robin are kind of
- 33:32Speaker 2: teasing them on the couch, being like this is so
- 33:35Speaker 2: weird that they're going out to get decorations. Because even
- 33:38Speaker 2: something as simple as this activity, like everybody's like, are
- 33:42Speaker 2: you sure about that? Do you want to hang out
- 33:44Speaker 2: with each other? Like that's super weird. You guys never
- 33:46Speaker 2: do something like this together, Like that's crazy, Like how
- 33:50Speaker 2: their relationship has devolved to a point where you can't
- 33:53Speaker 2: even go to like some bitch ass boutique store and
- 33:56Speaker 2: shop for decorations. But they're trying, and Janelle says, like,
- 33:59Speaker 2: we want to put our therapy into practice, like we
- 34:01Speaker 2: really want to work on things, but we all know.
- 34:04Speaker 1: How'd that work out for you ladies.
- 34:06Speaker 2: It's all for not And so then we get into
- 34:10Speaker 2: the preview for the next episode. We have Thanksgiving coming up.
- 34:14Speaker 2: We have the adult kids coming home from college and
- 34:16Speaker 2: the pawn shop.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And the fuck session in Montana.
- 34:24Speaker 2: And so everyone's coming back home for Thanksgiving. Everybody's excited
- 34:27Speaker 2: about it. And Janelle again extends like an olive branch
- 34:31Speaker 2: to Mary and she wants to decorate the house for
- 34:35Speaker 2: Thanksgiving with Mary, because you, like you said, Mary loves
- 34:38Speaker 2: to decorate. She loves grafts and stuff. And Janelle has
- 34:41Speaker 2: never really helped out before, but she wants to because
- 34:43Speaker 2: she wants to work on their relationship. And even doing this,
- 34:47Speaker 2: it's gonna cause friction because Mary's first thought is like, well,
- 34:51Speaker 2: if we're gonna help out the decorations, I don't want
- 34:54Speaker 2: to do it all by myself, lazy bitch.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so immediately Janelle starts to dis yeah, just float
- 35:02Speaker 1: into the ass rightfully, so because here we go again
- 35:05Speaker 1: with this bitch.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Like it's ridiculous. So ultimately I remember this episode. They
- 35:10Speaker 2: end up decorating a little bit, but Mary bitches the
- 35:12Speaker 2: entire time, so it's like all for nothing. And then
- 35:16Speaker 2: when they're setting up in the preview for Thanksgiving dinner,
- 35:19Speaker 2: Cody comes in with his floppy ass hair, not contributing
- 35:23Speaker 2: a single thing to this entire decoration. He says something
- 35:28Speaker 2: like I don't like the way the tables look, like
- 35:30Speaker 2: what are we doing with this? And he's saying this
- 35:32Speaker 2: to Mary. They're arguing about it, and Mary's first thing
- 35:35Speaker 2: to say is like, well it was Christine's idea. And
- 35:38Speaker 2: Mary says in the preview like, it's easier for me
- 35:41Speaker 2: if Cody's mad at somebody else other than me. So
- 35:44Speaker 2: this again is like proof of Mary's shitty character that
- 35:47Speaker 2: you want to like throw the wives under the bus. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 2: so that way you don't have to deal with the smoke.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I'm just like, okay, get out of here, girl, it's
- 35:56Speaker 2: gonna be an annoying episode.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Well, do you want to talk about some current Yeah, okay,
- 36:02Speaker 1: what do you think about pres Hilton?
- 36:05Speaker 2: Oh my god, dude.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Well, I mean, and here's why I thought about it
- 36:09Speaker 1: just now. And it's kind of crazy. But Mary is
- 36:12Speaker 1: putting herself out now as like this transformed woman who
- 36:17Speaker 1: has word it up. Yeah, like so much better now.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I know the real mean what I deserve, and I'm
- 36:23Speaker 1: a good person. And kind of with Preres Hilton, he
- 36:27Speaker 1: did the same thing. Do you know the story of
- 36:29Speaker 1: Press Hilton y'all?
- 36:30Speaker 2: No, not recently. I saw some videos before his thing
- 36:34Speaker 2: on TikTok. If you guys don't know, don't fucking look
- 36:36Speaker 2: it up. It's horrifying.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I think everybody knows by now. But like, well, but
- 36:40Speaker 1: do you know who he used to be? Yes, of course, yeah,
- 36:42Speaker 1: he used to be a terrible blogger. He was awful
- 36:44Speaker 1: to celebrities. He was constantly humiliating them and putting them
- 36:48Speaker 1: through humiliation rituals online. It was truly terrible, and he
- 36:52Speaker 1: was unapologetic and he was asked to stop and he
- 36:54Speaker 1: never did. And then like three or four months ago,
- 36:59Speaker 1: he got released and he was hospitalized. Yeah, he got sepsis,
- 37:04Speaker 1: so he's really really ill. He claims he had a
- 37:07Speaker 1: near death experience.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and he started like preaching about God a lot.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And he had an experience or an encounter with Jesus
- 37:14Speaker 1: the number one man himself, and he converted I guess
- 37:18Speaker 1: to Well, he never really says what he converted to.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I mean I assume he converted to Christianity or whatever.
- 37:26Speaker 1: And then he had a psychotic break. Yeah, and that
- 37:34Speaker 1: was last week and he's.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Still in the hospital. Right have we heard.
- 37:37Speaker 1: From him since he's still in the hospital, and so
- 37:40Speaker 1: kind of the ironic thing is his team at pres
- 37:42Speaker 1: Hilton dot com released a statement saying, like we're dealing
- 37:45Speaker 1: with this, we just really ask for privacy at this time,
- 37:48Speaker 1: and like everybody's like, well, you never gave that privacy
- 37:52Speaker 1: to anybody else. And if this had happened to any
- 37:55Speaker 1: celebrity when you were out there being like this gum
- 37:57Speaker 1: of the earth back in the day, you'd have absolutely
- 37:59Speaker 1: brought cast is to everybody. But now you want privacy.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I think it really presents such a good question around
- 38:09Speaker 1: compassion and forgiveness and like allowing for the idea. And
- 38:16Speaker 1: this is kind of bringing it back to Mary allowing
- 38:19Speaker 1: for the idea that people actually can change. I think
- 38:23Speaker 1: a lot of people out there don't think that people
- 38:27Speaker 1: can change, and or even if they do, it doesn't
- 38:30Speaker 1: really matter because they formed an opinion of you. And
- 38:32Speaker 1: maybe I'm guilty of this with Mary, but I've formed
- 38:35Speaker 1: an opinion of you that you were an asshole. I'm
- 38:37Speaker 1: never going to forgive you. You don't deserve anybody, no, anybody's forgiveness. Yeah,
- 38:41Speaker 1: And that's kind of how so many people are treating
- 38:45Speaker 1: Perez and what's happened with Perez. And I'm just wondering
- 38:48Speaker 1: what y'all think about it, And I'm wondering what you
- 38:50Speaker 1: think about it.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Oh, I agree. I was actually talking about it with
- 38:53Speaker 2: your daughter because she said it was horrifying. Like she
- 38:56Speaker 2: was the one that told me about it. She's like,
- 38:57Speaker 2: don't look it up, and I did because I let you.
- 39:01Speaker 1: What did you see the actual Yes, I did.
- 39:02Speaker 2: It was horrifying. It was horrifying.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I feel like those that's a mind virus, well, I
- 39:09Speaker 1: feel like they're trying to desensitize us to this type
- 39:12Speaker 1: of violence so that we're not affected by it. When
- 39:14Speaker 1: they perpetrate it on us in the future.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Well, unfortunately, we've been exposed to this kind of violence
- 39:20Speaker 2: for like over a decade, like WikiLeaks used to be
- 39:23Speaker 2: a thing, and live leak used to be a thing.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Like I've seen way work.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I've never seen any of that stuff good.
- 39:27Speaker 2: It would hurt your soul. But like we were talking
- 39:30Speaker 2: about it with Perez Hilton, and she said that her
- 39:33Speaker 2: vibe was like, we don't understand like what sepsis does
- 39:37Speaker 2: to the brain and how it can really fuck your
- 39:39Speaker 2: body up, Like we don't really understand what it does
- 39:43Speaker 2: to the human body, like we think we do, but
- 39:46Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of like long lasting effects.
- 39:48Speaker 2: So like from her perspective, it's like this is from
- 39:51Speaker 2: the sepsis and maybe it was like a psychotic break
- 39:54Speaker 2: from the bacteria and stuff in his brain. I don't know.
- 39:57Speaker 2: My vibe on it was like this is some demonic
- 40:00Speaker 2: shit because and I'm not like, look, I believe in Jesus,
- 40:06Speaker 2: I believe in God or whatever. My thing is like
- 40:10Speaker 2: this is demonic. And if you are somebody who has
- 40:12Speaker 2: been in this state, this vibrational state of like constantly
- 40:16Speaker 2: being a piece of shit to like all of these
- 40:18Speaker 2: people exposing all of their private lives and nudes and
- 40:22Speaker 2: like these really crazy stories and like making your whole
- 40:26Speaker 2: business model off of treating people this way, Like you
- 40:29Speaker 2: kind of open yourself up to that kind of an energy,
- 40:32Speaker 2: and like if you did have a near death experience
- 40:36Speaker 2: and it did make you change your perspective on life
- 40:39Speaker 2: and you did open your heart to Jesus, that's great,
- 40:41Speaker 2: and I think that's awesome or whatever, but that still
- 40:44Speaker 2: doesn't mean that, like you're solved from all of that
- 40:46Speaker 2: if you're still in this like vibration. And so I'm like,
- 40:49Speaker 2: seeing what he did on TikTok Live, I'm like, that's
- 40:54Speaker 2: demon shit.
- 40:55Speaker 1: So I haven't seen it, but some people are saying
- 40:58Speaker 1: they think that that was just all for attention to
- 41:01Speaker 1: like that's crazy. So it was like, do you think
- 41:03Speaker 1: it was an actual psychotic break?
- 41:05Speaker 2: I think yeah, like demon position because Okay, I don't
- 41:09Speaker 2: know with self harm and stuff like that, because if
- 41:11Speaker 2: you guys don't know what he did, like it was
- 41:14Speaker 2: really horrible self harm whatever. You don't do that kind
- 41:17Speaker 2: of stuff for the public. Self harm is something you
- 41:20Speaker 2: do because you hate yourself. It's something that's very private,
- 41:23Speaker 2: you hide your scars usually like it's a really horrible
- 41:27Speaker 2: symptom of depression. I speak from experience doing it like
- 41:31Speaker 2: that in front of a live audience. Like, that's like
- 41:35Speaker 2: psycho demonic, crazy shit right there. That's my opinion.
- 41:40Speaker 1: So to your point about it being demonic, it just
- 41:43Speaker 1: and I actually thought about this because in the bubble,
- 41:49Speaker 1: Jesus casts a demon out of some poor suffering soul.
- 41:55Speaker 1: And I'm gonna paraphrase because I don't have it in
- 41:58Speaker 1: front of me, but Jesus says something like, now, because careful, y'all,
- 42:01Speaker 1: because if you don't change, if you don't clean the
- 42:03Speaker 1: home in which the demon resided, that demon's gonna come back.
- 42:08Speaker 1: But he's gonna bring seven other demons with him, So
- 42:13Speaker 1: you're gonna have an even bigger problem then you started with.
- 42:18Speaker 1: So I mean, with somebody like Perez, I mean, who
- 42:23Speaker 1: are we to say what actually happened? But I do
- 42:27Speaker 1: think there's there is a spiritual component. I do, guys.
- 42:31Speaker 1: I feel like we are we are living in a
- 42:32Speaker 1: spiritual world. Yeah, and we are in such a strange,
- 42:36Speaker 1: freaked out time yeah, in our Earth's history. I truly
- 42:41Speaker 1: believe we came here at this time personally to disrupt
- 42:46Speaker 1: and to bring in some of the light. And so
- 42:49Speaker 1: this is why I want to and I don't know
- 42:51Speaker 1: if this is the right podcast for it, because we
- 42:53Speaker 1: talk about the sister Wives, and I'm trying to make
- 42:55Speaker 1: a connection to Mary, because like, even Mary deserves compassion.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I mean, of course Mary deserves compassion. And we make
- 43:02Speaker 1: fun of Mary. Yeah, we talk about the more critical
- 43:04Speaker 1: or whatever, and we're like, what are you doing worthying of?
- 43:06Speaker 1: Is this just a money grab? And we're constantly critiquing Mary.
- 43:10Speaker 1: But Mary's a person irrespective of what happened in the past,
- 43:14Speaker 1: She's deserving of compassion, love and a happy life. I
- 43:17Speaker 1: wish a happy life for Mary where she's like actualized
- 43:20Speaker 1: and like personally developed and she can reflect and look
- 43:23Speaker 1: at all these aspects of herself that she wants to
- 43:25Speaker 1: change and then change them. That's what I want for her,
- 43:28Speaker 1: And likewise, I want the same thing for somebody like Perez.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Of course, I just wish that people. Gosh could I
- 43:36Speaker 1: feel like Kasha. I feel like social media is on
- 43:40Speaker 1: purpose intentionally creating just hordes of people who don't give
- 43:46Speaker 1: a shit about humans.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Well, then you have all of those CIA created bots
- 43:50Speaker 2: on Instagram and TikTok and everything that are making all
- 43:53Speaker 2: of these comments that are so heinous, like people are
- 43:56Speaker 2: saying that Perez deserve this and like we shouldn't care
- 43:58Speaker 2: about them or whatever, And I'm like, are you, Like,
- 44:00Speaker 2: how can you look at a video like that and
- 44:02Speaker 2: not have any kind of compassion for him? Because that's
- 44:05Speaker 2: literally horrifying.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I don't think it's all bots. I think there are
- 44:08Speaker 1: so many people who feel justified in not having any compassion,
- 44:12Speaker 1: and I just feel like that's that's the least that
- 44:15Speaker 1: we can muster for somebody who's in clear emotional and
- 44:19Speaker 1: physical distress, and like, yeah, we don't have to like him,
- 44:23Speaker 1: and you know, yeah we don't have to support him
- 44:24Speaker 1: or whatever, but like we could absolutely hope for the
- 44:27Speaker 1: best and pray for them.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Well, And that's my point about like social media and
- 44:30Speaker 2: the Internet in general, because you have all of these
- 44:33Speaker 2: like influencing like actors on here, you have all the
- 44:38Speaker 2: CIA bots, you have like all of these crazy headlines,
- 44:41Speaker 2: you have AI algorithms, you have censorship of the ass
- 44:45Speaker 2: everything is controlled, Like all of the information that you
- 44:47Speaker 2: are fed is going through all of these different hands
- 44:50Speaker 2: to try and manipulate you. Into thinking and believing a
- 44:53Speaker 2: certain way. And I think that's what's caused a lot
- 44:55Speaker 2: of this like lack of compassion and like lack of
- 44:58Speaker 2: humanity in regular, regular people, because like you're constantly on
- 45:03Speaker 2: your phone all day, and if you're somebody that can
- 45:06Speaker 2: like try and resist that, that's good, but like nobody's
- 45:10Speaker 2: immune to it. Like if you're on your phone doom
- 45:13Speaker 2: scrolling all the time, like you're gonna eventually succumb to
- 45:15Speaker 2: some of these negative energies.
- 45:16Speaker 1: And I feel like we all are. I'm wondering, is
- 45:19Speaker 1: it even possible anymore to cut the cord from the phone.
- 45:22Speaker 2: I don't know, And I've thought about that too, because
- 45:24Speaker 2: like I.
- 45:24Speaker 1: So heavily addicted to it.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I fucking hate it. You have to do other
- 45:28Speaker 2: things to like distract yourself from your phone, like learn
- 45:31Speaker 2: an instrument or write correct, do some art or whatever.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Get off the fucking internet, because it's going to be
- 45:37Speaker 2: a dead internet anyway thanks to AI.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I know, so nothing that you're interacting with is actually
- 45:42Speaker 1: happening in real life, not at all. And actually the
- 45:45Speaker 1: people that you meet when you're walking down the street,
- 45:47Speaker 1: the people that you meet each day are a lot
- 45:49Speaker 1: more like you than the people that are showing up
- 45:52Speaker 1: on social media exactly, So don't get it twisted exactly.
- 45:56Speaker 1: I believe most people are good. I think so too,
- 45:59Speaker 1: But I mean I think this sort of syop with
- 46:02Speaker 1: social media and like what we're seeing and having like
- 46:04Speaker 1: fucking TikTok allow for this to be broadcast for fifteen
- 46:07Speaker 1: minutes straight without pulling the plug. I feel like this
- 46:10Speaker 1: is trying to change the way collectively we are conscious. Yeah,
- 46:17Speaker 1: and it's a low vibrational bitch, is real. I rebuke it.
- 46:22Speaker 1: I rebuke it me too, And I hope it's okay
- 46:27Speaker 1: that every now and again we talk about I think
- 46:29Speaker 1: we should all current events. I mean, we talk about
- 46:31Speaker 1: this stuff all the time. Off the pot and Sister
- 46:33Speaker 1: Wives can only take us so far.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, it sometimes it's it is.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Yes, we are literally mining for like Robin yeah in Alaska,
- 46:44Speaker 1: for just like a little bit of gold from some
- 46:46Speaker 1: of these episodes. But like we do our very best.
- 46:49Speaker 1: We love to hear from you. We are on Instagram,
- 46:52Speaker 1: as we said, you can always write to Beatrice. She
- 46:54Speaker 1: loves to hear from you, especially if you're nice. Yeah,
- 46:58Speaker 1: and also on YouTube, drop in like leave a comment,
- 47:00Speaker 1: even if it's like a raccoon emoji. Every single thing
- 47:03Speaker 1: helps in the algorithm. And honey, when I tell you
- 47:06Speaker 1: we are shadow band, now we shine like the sun.
- 47:09Speaker 1: We canceled. People are finding us anyway, but like there
- 47:12Speaker 1: is a shadow over this channel. So anything you can
- 47:15Speaker 1: do truly does help us, Beatrice, is there anything else
- 47:19Speaker 1: that we should say to these beautiful raccoons before we
- 47:21Speaker 1: get up on at it here?
- 47:22Speaker 2: As always, if feel of our podcast, please do us
- 47:25Speaker 2: a favor. Go to your favorite podcast platform and leave
- 47:27Speaker 2: us a glowing five star review. And if you want
- 47:30Speaker 2: to hear more weird conversations from us, let us know
- 47:33Speaker 2: in the comments and send us a message or whatever,
- 47:35Speaker 2: and send us some topics. If there's some current events
- 47:38Speaker 2: that we're not privy to, like, let us know. Maybe
- 47:40Speaker 2: we'll talk about it.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe we will. We probably will.
- 47:42Speaker 2: We probably will.
- 47:43Speaker 1: All Right, We're gonna be back next week to continue
- 47:46Speaker 1: Sister Wives. We've got stuff going up on Patreon. Definitely
- 47:49Speaker 1: join us there. It really does. Like we said, it
- 47:51Speaker 1: is the best way to help us. It really does
- 47:54Speaker 1: help us. Yeah, And until then, until we come back,
- 47:56Speaker 1: please do not forget that we have nothing but actual
- 47:59Speaker 1: and real human love for you and peace. L may
- 48:05Speaker 1: my God
