- 0:00Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for May 24th, 2025. Your
- 0:05two-minute play of the day for applying
- 0:07God's word in your life. So, let's
- 0:09huddle up and hear today's play from
- 0:11Luke 8. It says, "Therefore, consider
- 0:13carefully how you listen. Whoever has
- 0:16will be given more. Whoever does not
- 0:18have, even what they think they have,
- 0:21will be taken from them." He replied,
- 0:23"My mother and brothers are those who
- 0:25hear God's word and put it into
- 0:26practice. Where is your faith?" He asked
- 0:29his disciples, "Return home and tell
- 0:31them how much God has done for you." So
- 0:34the man went away and told all over town
- 0:36how much Jesus had done for him. Then he
- 0:39said to her, "Daughter, your faith has
- 0:41healed you. Go in peace." Hearing this,
- 0:43Jesus said to Gyrus, "Don't be afraid.
- 0:46Just believe and she will be healed."
- 0:49Who is Jesus? Jesus himself asked this
- 0:53question of his disciples for their
- 0:55response to who he is and would
- 0:57determine their response to his
- 0:59teaching. The scripture is clear that
- 1:01Jesus is God who has come to earth as a
- 1:04man in order to sacrifice himself for
- 1:06men so that we can live with God
- 1:09forever. Jesus as God warns us to think
- 1:12carefully about how we listen to him. Do
- 1:15we hear him as God speaking or as
- 1:18something else? Most of the world
- 1:20ignores Jesus completely and many
- 1:22believers ignore him as their God. The
- 1:25disciples of Jesus must respond to him
- 1:28in obedience and faith if they are to
- 1:30respond to him as God. The family of o
- 1:34of of God is obedient to the word of
- 1:36God. As God in man, Jesus obeyed
- 1:39perfectly every word of scripture, every
- 1:42directive of the Holy Spirit. And so
- 1:44too, the child of God adopted through
- 1:46the blood of the sacrifice of the Lord
- 1:48Jesus, seeks to perfectly obey God's
- 1:51word, empowered by God's spirit. This
- 1:54will involve the mission of the great
- 1:56commission, telling others what God has
- 1:58done for us as his witness and his
- 2:00invitation to reconcile to him as we
- 2:04have done through faith in Jesus. his
- 2:06faith, his belief in his work for us in
- 2:09the past, his work for us now through
- 2:12the spirit, and his work for us later
- 2:14through the resurrection of the dead. We
- 2:16have faith in Jesus when we acknowledge
- 2:18his work alone for our restoration to
- 2:21God. We have faith when we obey God,
- 2:24trusting him for the results of that
- 2:25obedience.
- 2:26Today, we have faith when we finally
- 2:29pass from this life to the next, knowing
- 2:31he will raise us from the dead and
- 2:33restore us to himself forever as beloved
- 2:36children of God. Who we understand Jesus
- 2:39to be impacts how we respond to Jesus's
- 2:42expectation of
