- 0:44Rick Costa: It's actually a lot.
- 0:45Rick Costa: Did you do it?
- 0:46Carmen Lezeth: on your show.
- 0:47Carmen Lezeth: Did you talk about it on your show?
- 0:49Rick Costa: I think more or less Mr Dawson and Bill, and Joyful, joyful.
- 0:54Carmen Lezeth: Hey, mario.
- 0:55Carmen Lezeth: Mario, did I send you a link?
- 0:57Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know if I sent you a link, because I'm in such a bad space.
- 1:00Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry if I didn't.
- 1:01Carmen Lezeth: I think I did, but I'm in such a bad space I'm sorry if I didn't.
- 1:03Rick Costa: I think I did, but you don't have to come on, I'm just saying.
- 1:05Rick Costa: But if you want to, no, tony's too busy.
- 1:08Carmen Lezeth: Hi, melanie.
- 1:09Carmen Lezeth: Melanie's the only one who makes me happy because she's reliable.
- 1:13Carmen Lezeth: Melanie, thank you for always being reliable.
- 1:19Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, I appreciate you so much.
- 1:22Carmen Lezeth: Not like these other jokers.
- 1:23Rick Costa: Okay, thank you, I appreciate you so much, Not like these other jokers.
- 1:26Rick Costa: Okay, so there actually is one piece of not so great news and I just want to make sure people know this.
- 1:32Rick Costa: So some people that maybe we used to watch this on HAPS there was somebody that used to broadcast on there as well that unfortunately, we just got the news that she passed.
- 1:43Carmen Lezeth: Oh wait, do I know this person?
- 1:45Rick Costa: Oh, I don't know if you remember her, but she was definitely up there quite a bit on HAPS.
- 1:50Carmen Lezeth: Are you going to share the person's name?
- 1:52Rick Costa: Yeah, she was known as Badger.
- 1:53Rick Costa: I also have a GoFundMe.
- 1:55Rick Costa: Do you think I should post that?
- 1:58Carmen Lezeth: You can post it.
- 1:58Carmen Lezeth: I don't mind that at all.
- 2:00Rick Costa: She and her family were in the car.
- 2:04Carmen Lezeth: Melanie, thank you.
- 2:05Carmen Lezeth: Something's wrong with your volume, Rick.
- 2:07Rick Costa: Me.
- 2:08Carmen Lezeth: Rick, your volume sounds low.
- 2:10Carmen Lezeth: It's low, I hear you fine here, but then when I go to edit that's how my week started People want to know why I didn't post anything this week.
- 2:18Carmen Lezeth: It's because, hi, alma, ooh Alma, I need your direct email.
- 2:23Rick Costa: Ooh, you got a new picture.
- 2:23Rick Costa: I need your direct email.
- 2:24Rick Costa: Oh, you got a new picture.
- 2:25Carmen Lezeth: I need your direct email so I can send you emails.
- 2:27Carmen Lezeth: To come on the show without your husband.
- 2:31Cynthia Ruiz: No.
- 2:31Carmen Lezeth: I'm just kidding, that was so mean.
- 2:33Carmen Lezeth: Anyways, yeah, hi Alma, hi Alma.
- 2:36Rick Costa: I like your picture Alma, that's nice.
- 2:39Carmen Lezeth: I think I have that picture up on our site now.
- 2:41Carmen Lezeth: Oh, not on the site now.
- 2:42Carmen Lezeth: Oh, not on the site, not on the live site.
- 2:43Carmen Lezeth: Never mind, never, okay, okay.
- 2:44Rick Costa: So badger was on haps and yeah, she did artwork basically, and lindsey was her actual name, lindsey badger maybe if I saw her.
- 2:56Carmen Lezeth: Thing yeah, you're gonna put up the gofundme page, the gofundme thing yeah, and there's a picture on there so her name was lindsey lindsey badger I think here's the last name too.
- 3:05Rick Costa: I don't know why YouTube is taking forever for the chat box to come up.
- 3:08Rick Costa: Oh, there it goes.
- 3:09Carmen Lezeth: Why don't you do it on the private and then I can put it up?
- 3:11Carmen Lezeth: Hi, dana D.
- 3:14Rick Costa: Oops, that's too long, hold on.
- 3:16Carmen Lezeth: Did you put it in the private chat and then I can.
- 3:18Carmen Lezeth: You'd rather.
- 3:20Carmen Lezeth: I can try to.
- 3:20Carmen Lezeth: I'm not saying I'll be able to do it, but I'm going to do my best, because you know I do my best.
- 3:25Carmen Lezeth: But if people want to contribute to the GoFundMe page, is this for her family?
- 3:33Rick Costa: Yes, because obviously this was very unexpected.
- 3:36Rick Costa: She was young.
- 3:37Rick Costa: There we go, and so what happened was her and her family.
- 3:46Rick Costa: It was her husband, husband or two kids.
- 3:47Rick Costa: They were in the car, hey Dana, and a guy blew through a stop sign, going 80 miles an hour at a 20 mile an hour zone.
- 3:52Rick Costa: She was killed on impact.
- 3:55Rick Costa: Husband ended up on a ventilator, but I think he's doing better.
- 3:58Rick Costa: Kids were okay, thank God.
- 4:00Rick Costa: And when the boy woke up he didn't know anything.
- 4:03Rick Costa: He was like what's going on?
- 4:04Rick Costa: And they had to say your mom died and he was devastated, of course.
- 4:09Rick Costa: So it's just really sad.
- 4:11Rick Costa: Oh, and the guy it was a hit and run, he left.
- 4:14Rick Costa: I'm like, are you kidding me?
- 4:15Rick Costa: But they found him, they caught him.
- 4:17Rick Costa: He's going to get charged with manslaughter.
- 4:19Rick Costa: Yeah, it's just really sad.
- 4:21Rick Costa: She was so young.
- 4:22Carmen Lezeth: So the GoFundMe, I just put it in the chat.
- 4:29Rick Costa: How did it come up on YouTube?
- 4:31Carmen Lezeth: Oh, because I think we have that thing where it sends messages to oh, so my message goes to everybody.
- 4:33Carmen Lezeth: Oh, that's cool.
- 4:35Rick Costa: Most of them, yeah, okay, and it's also in the ticker below.
- 4:36Carmen Lezeth: I don't remember the person, but still that's a horrible thing to happen.
- 4:39Carmen Lezeth: If we can help another person, but still that's a horrible thing to happen.
- 4:42Carmen Lezeth: If we can help another person, a cyber neighbor, that would be really nice and they were one of the artists on the site.
- 4:50Rick Costa: Yeah, she would do artwork all the time.
- 4:52Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah, so I'm all cool with helping people best way we can, any way we can, for people listening in the audio.
- 5:01Carmen Lezeth: It's gofundme forward slash 7728C518 if that helps in the future.
- 5:08Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so that's sad, terrible news.
- 5:11Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, you were supposed to be lifting me up and somehow.
- 5:14Rick Costa: I just wanted to get that out of the way first.
- 5:16Rick Costa: Hello, Gene Dawson.
- 5:18Carmen Lezeth: Hi Gene Dawson.
- 5:19Rick Costa: Exactly.
- 5:20Rick Costa: Rest in peace badges.
- 5:21Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, rest in peace, tony remembers her.
- 5:23Rick Costa: Yeah, I talked to him already about it.
- 5:24Rick Costa: So anyway, yeah, if you can help the family, that'd be awesome better news now.
- 5:32Rick Costa: All the rest of it's gonna be really good.
- 5:34Rick Costa: Update on my leg because remember I was up along cassidy for a while from the wasp attack today.
- 5:40Rick Costa: Today is the first day I did not use the cane at all, so you were using the cane the whole time.
- 5:47Rick Costa: Until yesterday yep, yesterday, part of the day I didn't use it, but today is the first day I absolutely did not use the cane at all.
- 5:53Rick Costa: So, yay, I'm getting better, a little better.
- 5:55Rick Costa: Still have to be really careful.
- 5:57Rick Costa: It can hurt if I twist it a little bit, weird.
- 6:00Rick Costa: But yeah so I'm on the mend, so that's another good thing.
- 6:03Rick Costa: Okay, weird, but yeah, so I'm on the mend, so that's another good thing.
- 6:06Carmen Lezeth: Okay, all right.
- 6:07Carmen Lezeth: So another piece of news now this I'm really glad that you're on the mend.
- 6:08Carmen Lezeth: It's just been a really ridiculously funny not so funny story I'm just saying not the wasp attack not the wasp attack.
- 6:15Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you're mario's mom hi mario's mom oh, no way, hi, I think we met at.
- 6:23Carmen Lezeth: Wait a minute, we did meet, because I was at the shower for Alma before Marissa was born.
- 6:32Carmen Lezeth: Hi, ms Dawson, that is so cool.
- 6:35Carmen Lezeth: I'm sure you remember me.
- 6:37Carmen Lezeth: I'm sure I'm just kidding.
- 6:40Rick Costa: You raised an amazing son.
- 6:41Rick Costa: Thumbs up to you.
- 6:43Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, and a great granddaughter.
- 6:56Rick Costa: Yeah, so that is good.
- 6:56Rick Costa: And then this was bad, but then good.
- 6:57Rick Costa: So mom was acting really extra for a while there and I was like I don't understand why she's so mean to me.
- 7:02Rick Costa: This is too much what is happening.
- 7:04Rick Costa: Did she have a stroke and personality change?
- 7:06Rick Costa: I couldn't get it.
- 7:07Rick Costa: Then it dawned on me when I was doing her pills for the week.
- 7:10Rick Costa: I was like, wait a minute, I'm missing one of the pills and I forgot that.
- 7:16Rick Costa: I called the pharmacy, called the doctor, and nobody ever got back to me.
- 7:19Rick Costa: So I called the doctor again and looked up what the medicine was.
- 7:23Rick Costa: It was for depression, anxiety, all that kind of stuff, and from day one of picking up that medicine, night and day, drastic change, so it was your fault.
- 7:34Rick Costa: It was my fault.
- 7:34Carmen Lezeth: You're trying to put it on your mama and it's your fault.
- 7:37Carmen Lezeth: It was my fault For people who don't know, rick is a caretaker, caretaker.
- 7:42Cynthia Ruiz: I'm a caretaker.
- 7:46Rick Costa: Because, I was going to give the ticker Care star tricker.
- 7:48Carmen Lezeth: Hey Tony.
- 7:48Carmen Lezeth: Thanks See, LinkedIn is working now.
- 7:50Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, Tony.
- 7:52Rick Costa: Awesome.
- 7:52Carmen Lezeth: Why is Mario saying hi again?
- 7:53Carmen Lezeth: He's saying hi to his mama, Probably.
- 7:56Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, you know what I'm just going to.
- 7:58Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if he wants to come online.
- 8:00Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what he wants.
- 8:01Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what Mario needs.
- 8:04Rick Costa: Tony says does this thing work?
- 8:05Rick Costa: Yes, tony it works, it works.
- 8:08Carmen Lezeth: So you messed up, you put your mother through torture, you tried to blame her for what was your fault, and now she's better again.
- 8:16Carmen Lezeth: So that's what I heard there.
- 8:20Cynthia Ruiz: Sure.
- 8:21Carmen Lezeth: Alma just said oh, no, I know you were confused.
- 8:24Carmen Lezeth: What's happening?
- 8:25Rick Costa: He's at her house.
- 8:26Rick Costa: He's at his mom's house.
- 8:29Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I'm at her house and it's a lot of noise.
- 8:34Rick Costa: Tell everyone to calm down and just watch the show.
- 8:36Rick Costa: I'm just kidding, we are the hottest podcast out there, I'm just saying it was so funny.
- 8:41Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so here's my thing I'm not complaining, I'm not complaining, I'm not complaining, I'm not complaining.
- 8:47Cynthia Ruiz: I am venting though.
- 8:49Carmen Lezeth: Now I you know what.
- 8:50Carmen Lezeth: I got a couple of, uh, direct messages from people and, um, somebody was mad at me because of the last episode I posted.
- 9:00Carmen Lezeth: By the way, I posted a last episode and I didn't even promote it at all, okay, and all I was doing was it was an extension from last week's conversation we had, because last week's conversation went on too long.
- 9:12Carmen Lezeth: Wait, rick, did you fix your mic so that the volume is up?
- 9:18Rick Costa: The problem I was having has not happened since.
- 9:20Rick Costa: I looked up how to fix it and I did it, and it hasn't happened since.
- 9:23Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but I trust Melanie.
- 9:25Carmen Lezeth: Melanie said you were low.
- 9:26Rick Costa: But what about on your thingy?
- 9:27Rick Costa: You can't see my levels.
- 9:28Rick Costa: No, I can hear you fine.
- 9:30Carmen Lezeth: I'm just worried about the recording because-.
- 9:32Rick Costa: Well, if it's only me, then maybe it should be easier, hopefully, to jack me up a little bit.
- 9:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 9:39Carmen Lezeth: You know what I'm going to make you edit an episode.
- 9:41Carmen Lezeth: I can't believe.
- 9:42Carmen Lezeth: You just said that.
- 9:42Carmen Lezeth: If it's only me, okay, let me do the process, so you understand?
- 9:46Carmen Lezeth: Okay.
- 9:47Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you pull down the recording.
- 9:49Carmen Lezeth: Okay, everyone needs to understand that rick has been doing this for eight years, non-stop, right, is it eight years?
- 9:55Carmen Lezeth: Over eight years and he does it every day.
- 9:59Carmen Lezeth: I do this once a week, but the difference, she said it's still low what about everybody else, is it?
- 10:05Rick Costa: you hear me though?
- 10:05Rick Costa: She would say, carmen, you're low, yeah, but your voice is like a higher pitch, so it's easier to hear you.
- 10:11Carmen Lezeth: He was trying to say I'm allowed, no, I'm being scientific.
- 10:14Rick Costa: No, I'm being scientific.
- 10:15Rick Costa: It's true, lower voices are harder to hear than higher voices, that's a scientific fact.
- 10:19Carmen Lezeth: You're not Tony and we've never had this problem with you in the past.
- 10:23Carmen Lezeth: Hey, can everyone else hear Rick, Tony, can you hear Rick?
- 10:28Carmen Lezeth: Fine, on your end.
- 10:30Rick Costa: Tony, can you hear me?
- 10:31Rick Costa: This is why Tony talks.
- 10:31Rick Costa: Tony talks like this.
- 10:32Carmen Lezeth: Tony doesn't talk like that, because if he did, we could hear him.
- 10:34Carmen Lezeth: He's like Loud and clear.
- 10:36Carmen Lezeth: Hey, Tony said loud and clear on my end.
- 10:39Carmen Lezeth: Okay, tony, greatanie said eight and three quarter.
- 10:48Carmen Lezeth: You oh, look at melanie on point, you're keeping track oh yeah, she's just riding down melanie tony just said he can hear rick fine on his end.
- 10:56Carmen Lezeth: So I don't know.
- 10:57Carmen Lezeth: But thank you for saying that mr dawson can hear me too he can hear you fine too.
- 11:02Carmen Lezeth: okay, my volume is all the way up.
- 11:04Carmen Lezeth: You know what, melanie?
- 11:05Carmen Lezeth: I'm on team Melanie.
- 11:06Carmen Lezeth: I believe it's Rick's fault, but here's what's going to happen.
- 11:08Carmen Lezeth: Let me explain something.
- 11:08Carmen Lezeth: So the difference between what me and Rick do is simply, first of all, I have a guest, or I have guests on the show, and then the other part of this is I actually download it.
- 11:26Rick Costa: I edit, put it on.
- 11:26Carmen Lezeth: Carmen is fine, that's the end of the sentence.
- 11:29Carmen Lezeth: Carmen is fine, you got to say it right, carmen is fine, rick is low.
- 11:34Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia said she's on her way.
- 11:36Carmen Lezeth: She said sorry, she must've been sleeping or whatever.
- 11:40Carmen Lezeth: So let me finish what it is that I do.
- 11:42Carmen Lezeth: So I download the audio and the video and I edit it, but when I can't hear somebody or this cross talking, I have to download not just the entire thing, I have to download each individual track, right.
- 11:58Carmen Lezeth: So I have my voice, only Rick's voice, only Tony's book.
- 12:03Carmen Lezeth: It depends on how many people, and last week, not only did it go way over an hour, I forget how long it was, but I couldn't hear Rick, I could barely hear Tony, and I was so mad because I thought it was a really good episode, but you couldn't hear it.
- 12:17Carmen Lezeth: So it was just too much work.
- 12:20Rick Costa: Can I get closer to my microphone?
- 12:22Rick Costa: I can jack my microphone all the way up if you want to.
- 12:24Rick Costa: Here it's all the way up now.
- 12:28Carmen Lezeth: What an attitude.
- 12:29Carmen Lezeth: It's all the way up now, melanie.
- 12:30Carmen Lezeth: Hello, sleeping Beauty, what?
- 12:33Cynthia Ruiz: happened.
- 12:34Cynthia Ruiz: I actually fell asleep on the couch.
- 12:39Carmen Lezeth: Didn't I say Okay, here's me, I'm texting everybody.
- 12:42Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, are you coming on this show?
- 12:44Carmen Lezeth: I know I said it was fine.
- 12:45Carmen Lezeth: Okay, here's me.
- 12:45Carmen Lezeth: I'm texting everybody.
- 12:46Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, are you coming on this show?
- 12:47Carmen Lezeth: Like by myself, I know I said it was fine, but I think I'm gonna cancel.
- 12:50Carmen Lezeth: And then when rick came on, I'm like I think I'm just gonna cancel.
- 12:53Carmen Lezeth: He's I'm on, let's go, let's go.
- 12:55Carmen Lezeth: Rick comes on one minute before now because he knows you're on the show all the time.
- 13:00Rick Costa: It's not just that.
- 13:01Rick Costa: It's not just that, it's because I'm trying to get mom to bed and I do everything I can to hurry it up, but you can't rush dementia.
- 13:08Carmen Lezeth: I think if you told her kindly.
- 13:10Carmen Lezeth: You know what.
- 13:10Carmen Lezeth: Carmen, who's your familia, from Portugal, has a show with kids.
- 13:15Cynthia Ruiz: That's true.
- 13:16Carmen Lezeth: I need you to calm down and go rest so that I can be on the show Wait let me say hi, who's her mother, who's her father, who's her family?
- 13:26Carmen Lezeth: I'll be like, oh, so scary.
- 13:30Carmen Lezeth: How are you, Cynthia?
- 13:32Carmen Lezeth: Welcome to the show.
- 13:34Carmen Lezeth: Better Than Never.
- 13:35Carmen Lezeth: What's up, girl?
- 13:37Carmen Lezeth: How you doing?
- 13:37Carmen Lezeth: I'm good, I'm good.
- 13:40Cynthia Ruiz: Did I wake you up?
- 13:41Cynthia Ruiz: Yeah, I know it was funny, because I like took a quick little nap around eight o'clock.
- 13:45Cynthia Ruiz: I was like, let me just stay for like a half hour or whatever, and once aren't you supposed to be on the show.
- 13:51Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, oh my God, I jumped up and today I had a little bit of a panic attack because nobody was showing up and I was like all of them said they'd be on, like everybody was like, okay, great, yes.
- 14:04Carmen Lezeth: And I'm like, oh my God, so I'm going to make rules now.
- 14:08Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding, but I did freak out a little bit, but I'm just having a time of it.
- 14:12Carmen Lezeth: I was telling Rick I didn't post anything this week.
- 14:15Carmen Lezeth: I posted some stuff this week, but I didn't post anything about the show this week because I didn't edit it.
- 14:21Carmen Lezeth: So anyway, let me finish.
- 14:27Carmen Lezeth: I have to download all these separate tracks and then I have to edit them separately and it's just so time consuming.
- 14:30Carmen Lezeth: I also don't like doing it like I assume people who are editors love editing.
- 14:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm like I hate it and I hate it more and more every day.
- 14:36Carmen Lezeth: I thought by now I'd be like faster at it and love it or whatever, but then it just becomes this thing.
- 14:41Carmen Lezeth: And this past week I was like you know what?
- 14:43Carmen Lezeth: I'm not, I'm just done.
- 14:43Carmen Lezeth: I'm'm not, I'm just done, I'm not doing it, I'm just one week.
- 14:46Carmen Lezeth: I'm not doing it.
- 14:47Carmen Lezeth: I'm not sending out any socials, I'm not going to do anything.
- 14:50Carmen Lezeth: Let's see what happens.
- 14:51Carmen Lezeth: The show's going to falter, it's going to be over, there'll be no more.
- 14:54Carmen Lezeth: All about the joy.
- 14:55Carmen Lezeth: But then I did a little podcast myself, which was just an extension of what we had.
- 15:09Carmen Lezeth: It went fine.
- 15:09Carmen Lezeth: It actually got just as many listens.
- 15:11Rick Costa: So that was cool, because I guess you have your regular hey darcy, shout out to dark darcy's the one with the new book out right, yep put your book in the chat so people can go check it out.
- 15:17Rick Costa: Is it out today or no, tuesday, I think it gets released out on tuesday, darcy, put your book.
- 15:23Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know what it's about, but see, I'm trusting my regular people got good stuff.
- 15:27Carmen Lezeth: So if she has a website, I thought she had a website or something.
- 15:30Rick Costa: I don't know if it's ready for the public.
- 15:33Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I thought you were promoting it on your show.
- 15:35Carmen Lezeth: That's how I knew.
- 15:37Rick Costa: Yeah, we're gonna be talking about it on Saturday, yeah.
- 15:40Carmen Lezeth: Oh okay.
- 15:40Carmen Lezeth: So on Saturday, if you want to go to Rick's show, oh okay, darcy, go ahead.
- 15:44Carmen Lezeth: Rick, what's your show on Saturday?
- 15:46Carmen Lezeth: Is that with all the other pastor people?
- 15:48Rick Costa: I say it respectfully, because I don't know, it's just going to be me and Darcy, and if her husband wants to join, he'll be there too.
- 15:53Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you're having like a private show with just Darcy yeah.
- 15:57Rick Costa: Yeah, and her husband if he wants to be there.
- 16:00Rick Costa: It's her life story basically.
- 16:03Rick Costa: Oh it's a memoir.
- 16:05Carmen Lezeth: It's like my book.
- 16:06Carmen Lezeth: Oh Darcy, oh okay.
- 16:08Carmen Lezeth: So Darcy's going to be on Rick Costa's show on Saturday.
- 16:12Carmen Lezeth: At what time?
- 16:13Rick Costa: So 1 pm your time, 4 pm Eastern time.
- 16:17Carmen Lezeth: So my time is PST Pacific for those listening on the audio Rick.
- 16:23Rick Costa: Yes, ma'am audio.
- 16:24Carmen Lezeth: Rick and Darcy's website is wwwdarcyhafercom.
- 16:32Carmen Lezeth: Let me spell that out D-A-R-C-I-H-A-Y-F-O-R-Dcom.
- 16:39Carmen Lezeth: Go there, check her out, figure out what's going on with Darcy, who's cool, always coming on my show and hanging out and check out her book.
- 16:47Carmen Lezeth: That's going to with Darcy, who's cool, always coming on my show and hanging out and check out her book.
- 16:48Carmen Lezeth: That's going to be available on Tuesday, august 6th.
- 16:50Carmen Lezeth: Okay, that was nice of me, because I don't even know Darcy but I'm going to read her book because I'm all about the memoirs man.
- 16:56Carmen Lezeth: All about the memoirs, okay, cool.
- 16:59Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, writing a book is a thing, that's right.
- 17:02Carmen Lezeth: Alma just said congratulations, darcy.
- 17:04Carmen Lezeth: It's true, writing a book is a thing, that's right.
- 17:05Carmen Lezeth: Alma just said congratulations, darcy.
- 17:06Carmen Lezeth: It's true, writing a book is a thing.
- 17:07Carmen Lezeth: I'm trying to write the second one to Canela, and let me tell you, it's hard, especially when you're working full time and everything.
- 17:12Carmen Lezeth: Is this Darcy's first book or is it like her third or fourth?
- 17:16Rick Costa: I think it's the first one.
- 17:17Rick Costa: I think yeah.
- 17:17Carmen Lezeth: And it's her memoir.
- 17:18Carmen Lezeth: Oh, so good, I'm so excited.
- 17:20Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm going to read it, I'm going to buy it.
- 17:21Carmen Lezeth: I'm a buy it, I'm a read it, girl.
- 17:23Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so I got to.
- 17:25Carmen Lezeth: Oh, darcy just said thank you, that was very sweet.
- 17:28Carmen Lezeth: I talk about a lot of intense thing.
- 17:30Carmen Lezeth: That just made me more interested, okay.
- 17:32Carmen Lezeth: So I got a couple of DMS this weekend and, listen, I have a right to talk about whatever I want to talk about on my show.
- 17:42Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying this as a thing to everyone.
- 17:44Carmen Lezeth: Rick talks about whatever he wants to talk about on his show.
- 17:47Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia talks about whatever she wants on her imaginary show.
- 17:51Carmen Lezeth: And here's the thing people can bring up whatever they want.
- 17:56Carmen Lezeth: I only have two rules.
- 17:57Carmen Lezeth: Oh wait, mr Dawson just said that Alma is working on an erotica novel.
- 18:02Rick Costa: Oh, my Okay.
- 18:03Carmen Lezeth: And I know Alma, know alma, that's gonna be good.
- 18:06Carmen Lezeth: Now, mario, did alma want you to put that out there right now?
- 18:14Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying like, maybe it's gonna be like a rollout that she wants to do.
- 18:18Carmen Lezeth: I don't know, that's husband, wife, they're pretty close.
- 18:20Carmen Lezeth: She wouldn't do it if she didn't want it, although wouldn't it be interesting if she did?
- 18:24Carmen Lezeth: it somebody's in the dark house we're making up stories now about who they fight and I think they're getting divorced.
- 18:35Carmen Lezeth: It's not like a whole thing um so here's what I want to say the only rules I have on my show that I usually break, and I can't break them because it's my show.
- 18:45Carmen Lezeth: Is this we try not to talk.
- 18:46Carmen Lezeth: Is this we try not to talk about religion and we try not to talk about politics.
- 18:50Carmen Lezeth: I've changed the wording to try.
- 18:52Carmen Lezeth: I always say don't, but when there's something in the news, we're going to talk about it.
- 18:56Carmen Lezeth: Here's the thing.
- 18:57Carmen Lezeth: If I choose to change my mind, it's my show.
- 19:00Rick Costa: That's right.
- 19:01Carmen Lezeth: No one is forcing you to stay here.
- 19:05Carmen Lezeth: On the one hand, I have people who want people say they will come on the show.
- 19:08Carmen Lezeth: People I love will come on the show if I talk about politics and I'm like I don't want you.
- 19:13Carmen Lezeth: There's so many, create your own show.
- 19:16Carmen Lezeth: You don't even have to create a show people, you can just go live.
- 19:18Carmen Lezeth: You can go live on Facebook.
- 19:21Carmen Lezeth: You don't have to buy anything whatever.
- 19:22Carmen Lezeth: If you have a Facebook page or you have a YouTube, you can.
- 19:25Carmen Lezeth: Oh, but on YouTube I think you have to have a certain amount of followers or something.
- 19:30Carmen Lezeth: I think you can do it from your phone regardless, but if you do it, what I'm saying is you don't have to find other people who are having shows to complain, and I feel like everybody is finding reasons to complain all the time.
- 19:45Carmen Lezeth: So that was one of the DMs I got, and then the other one was somebody was like you're so pretty, why do you always look so ugly on your show?
- 19:54Carmen Lezeth: I was like what I know.
- 19:57Carmen Lezeth: I was like wow, here's the thing, I know this person.
- 20:00Carmen Lezeth: This wasn't like a spam thing or whatever and I didn't even answer that because I was like, wow, that is the weirdest thing.
- 20:06Carmen Lezeth: So I only look pretty if I wear makeup.
- 20:09Carmen Lezeth: Does that make sense?
- 20:12Carmen Lezeth: I want everyone to think about that for a moment.
- 20:14Carmen Lezeth: So women look pretty if they wear makeup, but if they don't wear makeup, they're not pretty.
- 20:19Carmen Lezeth: That's corny, totally corny.
- 20:21Carmen Lezeth: So I'm no longer friends with that person.
- 20:23Carmen Lezeth: Blocked, blocked.
- 20:24Carmen Lezeth: I thought it was mean and cruel.
- 20:26Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 20:27Carmen Lezeth: I feel like Cynthia's going to say something or she's just waking up.
- 20:29Carmen Lezeth: No, no, no.
- 20:32Carmen Lezeth: How was your week, cynthia?
- 20:38Cynthia Ruiz: At your new job, week five.
- 20:39Cynthia Ruiz: Yes, it's been very busy, oh, but in a good way in a good way.
- 20:45Carmen Lezeth: In a good way, okay, I know, because it seemed not, but in a good way.
- 20:46Carmen Lezeth: In a good way, in a good way, okay, I know, because it seemed not really in a good way.
- 20:47Carmen Lezeth: Good way, good way.
- 20:48Cynthia Ruiz: No, no, it's in a good way, because I'm learning more things now.
- 20:53Carmen Lezeth: Any gossip with your husband, anything juicy, anything you want to reveal.
- 20:57Cynthia Ruiz: No.
- 20:59Carmen Lezeth: Nothing, no, nothing, nothing, rick, anything else Nothing, I guess we're going to be done.
- 21:05Rick Costa: Yes, yes, yes, I got more.
- 21:07Rick Costa: I'm going to do a little teaching lesson in a moment.
- 21:10Carmen Lezeth: That's why I don't want to bore people right now.
- 21:11Carmen Lezeth: So while there's a nice audience, let's give them joy.
- 21:23Rick Costa: So I think I might have mentioned I'm not sure if I did or not that my son had to do a test for his physical therapy license for.
- 21:26Rick Costa: Connecticut.
- 21:26Rick Costa: He's already a doctor, right, you still have to do the test to be official in.
- 21:28Carmen Lezeth: Connecticut.
- 21:29Carmen Lezeth: It's like a lawyer.
- 21:30Rick Costa: You finish?
- 21:30Carmen Lezeth: law school and then you have to get the LSATs or whatever.
- 21:33Carmen Lezeth: Oh, okay, we're going to get to Darcy in a minute.
- 21:36Carmen Lezeth: Go ahead.
- 21:36Carmen Lezeth: So he took the test.
- 21:38Carmen Lezeth: He passed.
- 21:40Rick Costa: He passed.
- 21:41Rick Costa: He was so happy.
- 21:43Rick Costa: And then today that was yesterday I found out on my broadcast and I was, of course, screaming on my broadcast.
- 21:48Rick Costa: And then today, my niece, my brother's daughter, she just got promoted to the nursing job that she wanted.
- 21:54Rick Costa: I was like, let's go with the young costas, let's go.
- 21:57Carmen Lezeth: Come on, that's so good.
- 22:00Carmen Lezeth: Mario just said let's set it off.
- 22:02Carmen Lezeth: What does that?
- 22:02Carmen Lezeth: Mean, I don't know Well, read what Darcy wrote.
- 22:05Carmen Lezeth: Okay, no, I'm going to Darcy.
- 22:07Carmen Lezeth: Me and my so-called best friend split yesterday.
- 22:09Carmen Lezeth: Ooh, I will never befriend her again, rest.
- 22:12Carmen Lezeth: Ooh, is that in the book?
- 22:15Carmen Lezeth: No, it happened yesterday.
- 22:16Cynthia Ruiz: Yeah, that'll be a part two.
- 22:20Carmen Lezeth: Ooh, darcy, okay.
- 22:22Carmen Lezeth: So on the one hand, I must say I'm sorry because she said so-called best friend that means they were best friends.
- 22:30Carmen Lezeth: That's hard, that's hard, that's hard.
- 22:32Carmen Lezeth: I will say this, and I hope Mia is not listening.
- 22:35Carmen Lezeth: So Mia is one of my best friends.
- 22:36Carmen Lezeth: We went to college together.
- 22:38Carmen Lezeth: We lived together in college.
- 22:39Carmen Lezeth: Yep, mia and I had the same thing.
- 22:41Carmen Lezeth: It happens.
- 22:42Carmen Lezeth: It happens.
- 22:44Carmen Lezeth: Mia and I didn't talk for seven months, which was weird.
- 22:47Carmen Lezeth: We were just done with each other.
- 22:49Carmen Lezeth: And I was done with her because she was dating somebody I didn't like.
- 22:52Carmen Lezeth: And I am that person.
- 22:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm that person.
- 22:55Carmen Lezeth: I will tell you I do not like this person, but I knew this wasn't just somebody.
- 22:59Carmen Lezeth: She was dating Like he had already met her parents, like I knew she always wanted to get married.
- 23:04Carmen Lezeth: I was afraid and so I was like no, this is not working.
- 23:07Carmen Lezeth: And we connected again because she dumped his ass after whatever not me, many people, whatever and we're still best friends today.
- 23:16Carmen Lezeth: So you never know what can happen, but I'm really sorry about that.
- 23:19Carmen Lezeth: It's a 20 year friendship.
- 23:21Carmen Lezeth: That's terrible.
- 23:21Carmen Lezeth: Mario said, when I say let's set it off, it means let's go whoop, whoop their butt because nobody talks about my friend.
- 23:28Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I think friendships are hard, though.
- 23:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm always shocked by what friends think they can get away with, and that's when you really know they're not really a friend.
- 23:40Rick Costa: Yep, it's true.
- 23:42Carmen Lezeth: And sometimes it really hurts because you think somebody's your friend and you can't see what you can't see because you're so in it.
- 23:46Carmen Lezeth: And sometimes it really hurts because you think somebody's your friend and then and you can't see what you can't see because you're so in it, and then other people will tell you things.
- 23:52Carmen Lezeth: The same thing with Mia.
- 23:53Carmen Lezeth: Like we were all telling I met the man.
- 23:55Carmen Lezeth: I was like uh-uh, I'm in his face.
- 23:57Carmen Lezeth: You can already tell what I did.
- 24:00Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 24:00Carmen Lezeth: I don't even have to explain it because you can feel the energy.
- 24:03Carmen Lezeth: But she couldn't see it and it wasn't just me, it was all of her friends.
- 24:09Carmen Lezeth: And then we had to just let it be.
- 24:11Carmen Lezeth: And then she figured it out.
- 24:12Carmen Lezeth: And whenever I bring it up and I'm sure if she's listening, she's gonna be like I can't fucking believe and I better not make a clip of this because she'll be pissed.
- 24:22Carmen Lezeth: But I'm just saying sometimes, yeah, and it's hard.
- 24:26Carmen Lezeth: It's hard.
- 24:27Carmen Lezeth: 20 years friendship.
- 24:28Carmen Lezeth: What's the longest friendship you've had, cynthia, with a best friend?
- 24:32Cynthia Ruiz: let's see, I was friends with someone since the fourth grade and we stopped being friends probably about six months after I met Juan.
- 24:45Cynthia Ruiz: I was 18.
- 24:46Cynthia Ruiz: No, 19.
- 24:47Cynthia Ruiz: That was a long time.
- 24:49Cynthia Ruiz: Was she the one that liked Juan?
- 24:52Cynthia Ruiz: She liked Juan at first, but there was some jealousy, issues of spending too much time with him and not with her.
- 25:01Cynthia Ruiz: We got into a fight, yeah, and that friendship Now it's blown over.
- 25:07Cynthia Ruiz: We're friends on Facebook and friends on Facebook are for real and forever.
- 25:17Carmen Lezeth: Rick, you have a best friend now that I never heard of.
- 25:20Carmen Lezeth: I remember recently.
- 25:21Carmen Lezeth: So Cynthia and I talk every once in a while, once a month, like our own conversation, whatever.
- 25:27Carmen Lezeth: And I've known Cynthia since she was born basically I'm older than she is and then one day, out of the blue, she's like oh Carmen, can I call you back?
- 25:37Carmen Lezeth: I have to talk to my best friend or something.
- 25:38Carmen Lezeth: And I was like.
- 25:39Carmen Lezeth: I was like is she just making up shit to get off the phone with me because I'd never heard of his best friend.
- 25:46Carmen Lezeth: I was like is she just making up shit to get off the phone with me Because I'd never heard of his best friend.
- 25:49Carmen Lezeth: I was so humiliated Again, it wasn't about me, she actually has a best friend.
- 25:53Carmen Lezeth: So that best friend you've known for how long?
- 25:57Cynthia Ruiz: That one for about.
- 25:58Cynthia Ruiz: Let me see 20 years.
- 26:01Cynthia Ruiz: I have another one that's been 26 years.
- 26:04Carmen Lezeth: Okay, these best friends, though, are they imaginary friends?
- 26:06Carmen Lezeth: They're best friends, my best friends, yes, okay.
- 26:12Carmen Lezeth: Darcy said the thing, oh, the thing.
- 26:15Carmen Lezeth: She called me will ensure that I never make up with her.
- 26:19Carmen Lezeth: Ooh, ooh, okay.
- 26:24Carmen Lezeth: Mario said my best friend and I have been friends for over 40 years.
- 26:27Carmen Lezeth: Whatever, mario no, I'm just kidding Can you imagine being best friends with Mario for 40 years?
- 26:33Carmen Lezeth: I can't, I can't.
- 26:37Carmen Lezeth: I was going to say something like funny, but then it didn't seem funny in my head when I went over it, so I had to let it go.
- 26:42Carmen Lezeth: Rick, what's the longest friend you've ever had?
- 26:47Rick Costa: You said friend or best friend.
- 26:48Carmen Lezeth: Best friend.
- 26:49Rick Costa: Best friend, probably maybe 15 years, but it could be longer, could have been longer, but every time I had a best friend, most of them ended up moving away somewhere.
- 27:00Carmen Lezeth: Oh, but moving shouldn't matter, in best friendship-ness.
- 27:03Rick Costa: I agree.
- 27:04Carmen Lezeth: I agree, but they let you down.
- 27:07Rick Costa: But people distance does not make the heart grow fonder in this case, apparently.
- 27:12Carmen Lezeth: So wait, was your best friend, like someone you were romantically involved with, or just?
- 27:16Rick Costa: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 27:17Rick Costa: But in my heart, in my mind, when you're my friend, you're my friend always, like forever.
- 27:23Rick Costa: But apparently, if you move away, out of sight, out of mind, and who is you?
- 27:29Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but who is you?
- 27:30Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but did you reach out to them and call and try to be friends Of?
- 27:33Rick Costa: course.
- 27:34Carmen Lezeth: Is it possible that you could just lose touch and then you reconnect again, or did you really get hurt because they didn't reach out to you?
- 27:41Rick Costa: I mean it's been several people.
- 27:42Rick Costa: Oh, thank you, darcy.
- 27:43Rick Costa: She said Rick's always come through for me.
- 27:45Rick Costa: You're so sweet, thank you.
- 27:47Carmen Lezeth: Rick lets me down every Thursday night, sorry.
- 27:54Rick Costa: And who's been with you every Thursday for how long I'm sorry.
- 27:58Carmen Lezeth: Tonight I was scared.
- 27:59Carmen Lezeth: I had to send you an Instagram.
- 28:01Rick Costa: I was like oh did you?
- 28:02Rick Costa: I didn't even see it.
- 28:03Carmen Lezeth: I know, because you don't even look at my Instagrams.
- 28:05Carmen Lezeth: No more.
- 28:05Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding.
- 28:06Rick Costa: No, because I'm busy with mom, I'm just saying but anyway, you know what I really was like.
- 28:11Carmen Lezeth: I was just too tired to do this on my own.
- 28:13Carmen Lezeth: Darcy said that the name that her ex-best friend called her was really bad.
- 28:20Carmen Lezeth: I think the idea that any friend of mine would call me a name A best friend would never call me a name that's just wrong.
- 28:27Carmen Lezeth: That's a whole other connection I can't even deal with.
- 28:33Carmen Lezeth: That's strange.
- 28:34Carmen Lezeth: So I'm really sorry about that, Cause that must hurt your feelings.
- 28:37Carmen Lezeth: I know that would hurt my feelings.
- 28:39Carmen Lezeth: I don't think I've ever had a friend call me a name not to my face, and certainly not anything I heard about Cause I would.
- 28:45Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 28:47Carmen Lezeth: I think if you're in a heat, like in a moment of anger, if your best friend still calls you like me and Andrea have never had an all out fight.
- 28:55Carmen Lezeth: We've been mad at each other, but we just don't talk to each other for five days you know what I mean Like in silence, but there's no like name calling or yeah and Cynthia, when you and I had a fight, you were vile.
- 29:13Cynthia Ruiz: You apologized, but the words out of your mouth were so bad.
- 29:15Rick Costa: Every name in the book Wow In Spanish and English Right.
- 29:19Carmen Lezeth: It was because you can imagine Cynthia being.
- 29:21Carmen Lezeth: I mean, you guys can?
- 29:23Carmen Lezeth: It's usually the quiet ones, right?
- 29:25Carmen Lezeth: You see what I'm saying?
- 29:26Carmen Lezeth: The giggly quiet ones Am.
- 29:28Cynthia Ruiz: I right Am I?
- 29:28Carmen Lezeth: right.
- 29:29Carmen Lezeth: Darcy said after she called me that I hate to admit it, but I let it rip on her and I went crazy on her booty.
- 29:37Carmen Lezeth: I'm being all like casual now and I'm usually staring at her ass.
- 29:42Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I can't wait to read this book.
- 29:44Carmen Lezeth: I was talking about that, but you can already tell she got juice going.
- 29:48Carmen Lezeth: Okay, she got juice going, darcy.
- 29:50Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry, it feels like it's really raw and new and that's the hardest part and I have no words to share to say it's going to get better.
- 29:59Carmen Lezeth: Blah, blah, blah.
- 29:59Carmen Lezeth: Now that bullshittery everyone tries to do to make you feel better, because it just sucks and I'm sorry you're going through it and I'm sorry she hurt you.
- 30:07Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 30:09Carmen Lezeth: I have a hard time with friendships that are not really friendships and I let them go pretty quickly.
- 30:14Carmen Lezeth: But I don't know.
- 30:16Carmen Lezeth: We've talked about relationships before, about friendships and the definitions of friendship, but I think, like for me, mario and I had stopped just out of circumstance, like I, he moved on from city, national bank, I had left brand new school, little distance, you know what I mean.
- 30:34Carmen Lezeth: We hadn't talked for a while.
- 30:35Carmen Lezeth: But then the definition of friendship that became.
- 30:38Carmen Lezeth: The thing is that once we reconnected, it was like just yesterday yeah.
- 30:44Rick Costa: That's the way I am.
- 30:45Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 30:46Rick Costa: Everybody is.
- 30:47Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I think it's about connection, though.
- 30:49Carmen Lezeth: So maybe the people that moved away weren't really connected to you in the way you thought.
- 30:54Carmen Lezeth: Is that possible that hours and hours and drove to his house like a half an hour, so other people understand?
- 31:10Carmen Lezeth: The definition of friendship from my point of view is like it's not.
- 31:14Carmen Lezeth: It doesn't matter what we do as individuals in the friendship.
- 31:18Carmen Lezeth: What matters is understand the reciprocation and understand what they're going through.
- 31:24Carmen Lezeth: Right and understanding.
- 31:25Carmen Lezeth: Are they really that friend?
- 31:27Rick Costa: Right, yeah, like the friend I have now.
- 31:30Cynthia Ruiz: Me.
- 31:31Rick Costa: Definitely.
- 31:35Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, of course, my actual best breath, like you, literally you said, like actual, I'm not actually a friend best I'm not your best what the fuck am I in my book?
- 31:44Rick Costa: best friends talk almost every day, almost every day you have to talk every day.
- 31:49Rick Costa: We, my best friend we talk pretty much every day, yeah okay, I'm on it.
- 31:53Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna call you tomorrow.
- 31:55Carmen Lezeth: Boo, I'm just kidding, I'm just messing with you.
- 31:57Carmen Lezeth: Alma just said my bestie sister and I have been together for 36 years.
- 32:01Carmen Lezeth: That's really cool.
- 32:02Carmen Lezeth: Darcy said she was never a true friend and I kept thinking she would change, but she didn't.
- 32:07Carmen Lezeth: Oh, that's hard.
- 32:08Carmen Lezeth: Oh, that's right, mar Mario.
- 32:11Carmen Lezeth: It's about authenticity what I said.
- 32:14Cynthia Ruiz: That's tough because in Darcy's eyes that she was her best friend.
- 32:17Cynthia Ruiz: But this woman obviously didn't see Darcy as hers because she she said it right there she thought she would change over time but she didn't but look at Darcy looking out.
- 32:28Carmen Lezeth: She's like hey, am I your best friend, rick?
- 32:30Carmen Lezeth: Exactly, you need to choose, you need to choose, you need to choose.
- 32:33Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding, I'm just messing with you.
- 32:34Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so you and your best friend talk every day.
- 32:37Carmen Lezeth: I used to do that when I was like in my 20s, me and I used to talk every day, but now we don't, yeah.
- 32:52Rick Costa: And he's proven over and over again like he's.
- 32:53Rick Costa: When I got in my car accident a few years ago, he was like an hour away.
- 32:55Rick Costa: He immediately drove to me to help me.
- 32:56Rick Costa: We're there for each other.
- 32:56Rick Costa: It's like constantly, anytime he needs me.
- 32:57Rick Costa: Vice versa.
- 32:58Carmen Lezeth: Does he watch the show?
- 32:58Carmen Lezeth: Because that would define my understanding if he's really your best friend.
- 33:02Rick Costa: I don't know if he watches this show.
- 33:04Carmen Lezeth: Oh, but he watches your show every day.
- 33:07Rick Costa: No, not every day.
- 33:09Carmen Lezeth: He needs to watch this show.
- 33:10Carmen Lezeth: If he wants to be considered your best friend, he needs to support the show.
- 33:14Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying, I'm just kidding.
- 33:16Carmen Lezeth: Darcy said she always wanted to see how much money she could get out of me.
- 33:19Carmen Lezeth: That's why I'm thinking this really no, I don't want to define it just based on a chat thing or whatever.
- 33:24Carmen Lezeth: But again it goes back to that thing I was saying before is I think sometimes we put more into the relationship than we understand the other person's putting in as well.
- 33:37Carmen Lezeth: This is with all friendships.
- 33:38Carmen Lezeth: This is it.
- 33:38Carmen Lezeth: It's all relationships.
- 33:38Carmen Lezeth: It's mother, daughter, sister, brother, it's friendships, romance, whatever you.
- 33:42Carmen Lezeth: There's a give and take.
- 33:44Carmen Lezeth: Sometimes your friend needs more, more love, more hugs, more understanding, more compassion, and then it switches right.
- 33:53Carmen Lezeth: So it balances out.
- 33:55Carmen Lezeth: If you're not getting that, if you're not getting that like I have one friend who I don't talk to anymore and I know he gets it because he stopped calling me he really was just a good friend.
- 34:05Carmen Lezeth: We actually met in church at Agape and he's a good guy.
- 34:09Carmen Lezeth: But it's just the constant.
- 34:11Carmen Lezeth: I felt like there was a constant grievance, constant negativity, constant doing bad and I was just like I can't take on this all the time.
- 34:21Carmen Lezeth: I can't do it.
- 34:23Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 34:24Carmen Lezeth: And it's not that I, if he called tomorrow and said he needed something, I would help him.
- 34:28Carmen Lezeth: But and then so it's been like a year or two.
- 34:31Carmen Lezeth: And it's so funny because I was just thinking about him the other day.
- 34:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm hoping he was doing well and but I would never say he was my best friend and we were friends.
- 34:42Carmen Lezeth: But now I'm like, okay, it's just changed.
- 34:43Carmen Lezeth: Right now he needs to get into a better space, to be in my aura or whatever you want to call it, cause I can't take all that negativity.
- 34:50Carmen Lezeth: I don't mean that in an ego way.
- 34:51Carmen Lezeth: I think we all need to do that.
- 34:52Carmen Lezeth: We all need to find ways to protect our aura, our spirit, our joy and I'm not saying that in a funny way, I'm saying that for real, like if there's anything being older has taught me is exactly that you can't let toxicity be in your life, especially when you see it.
- 35:11Carmen Lezeth: And people see toxicity and then they stay in it, which I don't understand.
- 35:15Carmen Lezeth: I don't get it.
- 35:16Carmen Lezeth: But why are you laughing, cynthia?
- 35:19Carmen Lezeth: Because it's true.
- 35:21Cynthia Ruiz: It's so true.
- 35:25Carmen Lezeth: Expand on your truth.
- 35:28Cynthia Ruiz: No, it's very true, and I know you are very quick to get rid of negativity in your life we're going back to me and my past.
- 35:39Carmen Lezeth: Look it.
- 35:40Carmen Lezeth: We all have different paths.
- 35:41Carmen Lezeth: We all have strengths and weaknesses and I've said this before our strengths and our weaknesses are always also the opposite.
- 35:48Carmen Lezeth: So a lot of my strength is also my weakness.
- 35:50Carmen Lezeth: It's hard for me after my three-time rule to give people another chance.
- 35:58Carmen Lezeth: I really have the inability.
- 36:01Carmen Lezeth: I can forgive you, but I don't want to see a dumb ass in my life ever again.
- 36:05Cynthia Ruiz: You know what I mean.
- 36:06Carmen Lezeth: You can go do your thing, but after three times of hurting me and hurting me.
- 36:12Carmen Lezeth: It takes a lot to hurt me, but if you hurt me more than three times you're done out of my life.
- 36:17Carmen Lezeth: It's a really simple rule that works for me.
- 36:21Carmen Lezeth: And the reason why Cynthia's laughing is because I've done it with blood DNA people and I did it a long time ago.
- 36:27Carmen Lezeth: I was much younger and everybody was stunned that I had done it Not stunned, but it was a pretty remarkable thing for me to be able to do.
- 36:36Carmen Lezeth: But I did it because I had support elsewhere and I think that's the difference, right, I had a whole support network somewhere else so I could walk away from pain.
- 36:48Carmen Lezeth: And also, by the way, it wasn't just for me, it was also for them.
- 36:53Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 36:54Carmen Lezeth: I didn't think of it that way because it was selfish on my part I was protecting me, but at the end of the day, I think they live happier, lovelier lives without me in it.
- 37:03Rick Costa: That's how I see it Cynthia's.
- 37:04Carmen Lezeth: I ain't even going to say a word.
- 37:06Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to leave that alone.
- 37:10Carmen Lezeth: Because Cynthia's in touch with those people, so that's why she's staying.
- 37:14Cynthia Ruiz: I don't act like I call them every day.
- 37:16Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just saying, and I understand there's issues, complications, whatever.
- 37:22Rick Costa: I think with some people they've just grown up with that and that's literally all they've experienced and known, and so for them that's just the way it is.
- 37:30Rick Costa: They don't realize there's a way out of the toxicity.
- 37:32Rick Costa: They just think this is normal and they don't realize no, this is definitely not normal.
- 37:39Carmen Lezeth: Darcy just said her name is okay.
- 37:40Carmen Lezeth: We're not going to do that.
- 37:41Carmen Lezeth: She started putting down my son, who has.
- 37:43Carmen Lezeth: I'm surprised I didn't go after her.
- 37:46Carmen Lezeth: Okay, darcy, here's what I'm going to suggest, though I'm going to suggest something.
- 37:51Carmen Lezeth: Girl, I don't want you to write anything.
- 37:53Carmen Lezeth: I know I don't know you, but I say this from love and from a place of experience.
- 37:58Carmen Lezeth: I don't want you to write no more in the chat that you may regret 10 years later or three months later and it's still on my chat because it's going to be on Rick's and Cynthia's.
- 38:10Carmen Lezeth: And I say that because I think sometimes, when things happen close, like in time period, we haven't had a moment.
- 38:15Carmen Lezeth: I'm not saying you're going to forgive her, I'm not saying she's ever going to be a friend again or whatever, but I don't know you at all.
- 38:22Carmen Lezeth: But I feel very comfortable saying that you don't want to hurt somebody else.
- 38:27Carmen Lezeth: I know you wanted to hurt her yesterday or whenever this happened, but I think in the bigger picture of who you are, you know.
- 38:34Carmen Lezeth: You see what I'm saying, though Like I, I just I just feel like you have a good energy and I'm not even into energy, but you know what I'm saying.
- 38:41Carmen Lezeth: I think most people sometimes in the heat of the moment, will say things and then be like, ooh, I wish I didn't do, you know.
- 38:49Carmen Lezeth: So I just I'm trying to protect you in a way.
- 38:51Carmen Lezeth: You have every right to feel the way you feel.
- 38:53Carmen Lezeth: So that's not what I'm saying.
- 38:54Carmen Lezeth: I just don't want you to put it down and regret it in a few weeks, especially when the podcast goes viral and crazy.
- 39:02Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 39:03Carmen Lezeth: And then people are like who is this Darcy woman?
- 39:04Carmen Lezeth: But that would be good, because then they're going to buy her book because we talked about it earlier.
- 39:09Carmen Lezeth: It's going to be available on Tuesday.
- 39:11Carmen Lezeth: What's the date?
- 39:12Carmen Lezeth: August 4th, sixth, Sixth Wait, what's the name of the book?
- 39:18Rick Costa: Scapegoat.
- 39:19Carmen Lezeth: Scapegoat on Amazon.
- 39:21Carmen Lezeth: Look at me doing all this free publicity no.
- 39:24Cynthia Ruiz: I'm happy.
- 39:25Carmen Lezeth: Hey, I know what it's like to be an author first time author writing your pain and your whatever down and then putting it out there.
- 39:32Carmen Lezeth: I know.
- 39:33Carmen Lezeth: So I'm just so happy for you.
- 39:35Carmen Lezeth: Again, bravo, and don't write the second book right away.
- 39:39Carmen Lezeth: Give it some time.
- 39:40Carmen Lezeth: We don't want to talk about this in the book too much.
- 39:43Carmen Lezeth: It comes out on her birthday.
- 39:47Carmen Lezeth: Oh okay, oh, that's going to be good.
- 39:50Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to try to watch on Saturday.
- 39:52Carmen Lezeth: What time?
- 39:52Rick Costa: Saturday One o'clock my time, your time, one o'clock.
- 39:55Rick Costa: Yeah, one o'clock I'm going to try.
- 39:56Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to try At rickkostacom oh there's always a replay too.
- 39:59Carmen Lezeth: I could do the replay if I wasn't so busy.
- 40:05Rick Costa: All the editing.
- 40:07Carmen Lezeth: You know what?
- 40:07Carmen Lezeth: I don't think I'm going to do it again.
- 40:09Carmen Lezeth: I know I'm trying not to complain.
- 40:11Rick Costa: Oh, so you were explaining.
- 40:12Rick Costa: The difference between you and me is I don't do any editing, I just go live and it's done and that's it.
- 40:17Rick Costa: I don't think about it, but not yours.
- 40:18Rick Costa: You have to go back because you got to fix the audio and the podcast.
- 40:21Rick Costa: It's a lot more work.
- 40:22Carmen Lezeth: And then I upload it on the podcast and then I do clips so that we can hey.
- 40:27Rick Costa: I don't know how to say Rina Rafia.
- 40:30Carmen Lezeth: Rafia.
- 40:30Carmen Lezeth: Do you know, rafia?
- 40:32Rick Costa: Yeah, she's my Muslim friend from England.
- 40:34Carmen Lezeth: Hi, rafia, I love the name, but I didn't want to mess it up.
- 40:37Carmen Lezeth: I wasn't sure.
- 40:38Carmen Lezeth: Hi, yeah, so it's because we're trying to gain an audience on the podcast and I had first started doing the podcast before I did the live stream, so it became Bing.
- 40:51Carmen Lezeth: Oh, she's so cute.
- 40:51Carmen Lezeth: Darcy's like deleted that comment with her name on it.
- 40:53Carmen Lezeth: Good, hey, mr Mate, what's his name?
- 40:55Rick Costa: Anthony.
- 40:56Carmen Lezeth: Hi, Anthony Rick.
- 40:58Carmen Lezeth: How do you know?
- 40:59Carmen Lezeth: Because people come on your show all the time, so you remember everybody.
- 41:01Carmen Lezeth: I don't remember people's like their moniker and then their real name.
- 41:06Carmen Lezeth: I try, my memory sucks usually, but I try, but it's eight years, so I guess that's different.
- 41:11Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, but your show is also.
- 41:14Carmen Lezeth: You do it every day, you do it solo.
- 41:16Carmen Lezeth: So even if you had to edit anything or even if you wanted to edit anything, it's just new, so it'd be one track.
- 41:21Carmen Lezeth: But again, I'm not trying to complain, I'm trying to just figure out a way to give myself a break once in a while.
- 41:27Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what my.
- 41:34Carmen Lezeth: It's not my rush, but it's I just liked.
- 41:35Carmen Lezeth: I like the end result, I like that somehow people are laughing or telling me oh my God, that show is so funny, who's that guy?
- 41:39Carmen Lezeth: Or?
- 41:40Carmen Lezeth: And then I realized I haven't finished the website, I haven't put up our store yet, even though the store is ready, I just haven't put it up yet.
- 41:46Carmen Lezeth: I haven't.
- 41:47Carmen Lezeth: I have everybody's bios ready.
- 41:49Carmen Lezeth: I just I.
- 41:50Carmen Lezeth: And I realized you know what I got to calm down, I gave myself a three year business plan and I don't know why I came up with that.
- 41:58Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 41:59Carmen Lezeth: Like I put myself in a box and then I was like suffocating in it because I put up all these rules, because I want it to be something substantial, and I want, but we do have an thank you everyone who's listening.
- 42:15Carmen Lezeth: I appreciate you all.
- 42:16Carmen Lezeth: I really do, and I should just be okay with the fact that we're having fun and chit chatting.
- 42:20Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 42:21Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 42:21Rick Costa: And no matter what, we're here every Thursday, so they always have something to watch and listen to.
- 42:26Carmen Lezeth: Sadie.
- 42:26Carmen Lezeth: Okay, sadie, I asked Tony for your information so that I could email you, so you and I could chat.
- 42:33Carmen Lezeth: We don't have to do a live stream or whatever, but I thought you and I could have a separate chat.
- 42:36Carmen Lezeth: Can you go to my contact page or something?
- 42:39Carmen Lezeth: Go to aatjoycom and send me your information, or tell Tony to send me your email or something.
- 42:48Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know Sadie's real name, like her last name, to find her on anything.
- 42:53Carmen Lezeth: But hi, sadie, thank you for stopping by.
- 42:55Carmen Lezeth: I appreciate you so much, oh thank you.
- 42:58Carmen Lezeth: Alma.
- 42:58Carmen Lezeth: Okay, no problem, cool, thank you, sadie.
- 43:01Carmen Lezeth: So, yeah, so that's what my realization was this year, this past weekend, if you're stressed, just eat chocolate.
- 43:08Carmen Lezeth: You have no idea.
- 43:11Carmen Lezeth: Honey, my hips will tell you I do.
- 43:13Carmen Lezeth: Hey, Darcy, tony D just said happy birthday.
- 43:20Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, happy birthday, sadie.
- 43:23Rick Costa: Oh yeah.
- 43:24Carmen Lezeth: Oh, it's Sadie's birthday.
- 43:25Carmen Lezeth: Okay, Happy birthday.
- 43:27Carmen Lezeth: I thought he was saying happy birthday to Darcy.
- 43:29Carmen Lezeth: Oh, Darcy, you can find me at Carmen Lisette.
- 43:35Carmen Lezeth: So if you go to, I guess I could do the little thing here.
- 43:38Cynthia Ruiz: Let me just I never said it to her.
- 43:41Carmen Lezeth: No, but don't I have this right here where I do?
- 43:44Carmen Lezeth: Is it showing?
- 43:46Carmen Lezeth: No, there it is.
- 43:48Carmen Lezeth: If you go there you can find all my links.
- 43:50Carmen Lezeth: Yep, the AT joycom, all about the joycom.
- 43:57Carmen Lezeth: But even if you go to the website all about the joycom you can find all my links there.
- 44:01Carmen Lezeth: But it's at Carmen Lee sat and Lee said is L-E-Z-E-T-H.
- 44:06Carmen Lezeth: Why is Tony doing that?
- 44:08Rick Costa: I don't know.
- 44:11Carmen Lezeth: Tony, if you have time to do all that in the chat, you could come online and say it to my face.
- 44:16Carmen Lezeth: Okay, he knows what I'm saying.
- 44:18Carmen Lezeth: He knows what I'm trying to say there you got something to say baby, say it to my face.
- 44:25Cynthia Ruiz: What he's going to come in with this look like what did you say?
- 44:31Carmen Lezeth: he afraid, he afraid, he afraid.
- 44:32Carmen Lezeth: There is something I want to talk about in the last 10 minutes.
- 44:35Carmen Lezeth: Rick, you don't have to reward me, because now I'm not sure I already had it ready.
- 44:38Rick Costa: You're right, I already typed it in, ready to go here's the thing everyone you should also know.
- 44:42Carmen Lezeth: The other thing is we keep going long, which is really fun, or whatever, and I think one of the things I talked to rick about is that eventually I'd love to do a maybe friday night, which is just for fun.
- 44:53Carmen Lezeth: We could stay on for as long as people want to stay on, but then people don't have to work in the morning.
- 44:57Carmen Lezeth: Blah, blah, blah.
- 44:58Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, but the thursday night show really is what I want to try to promote for the podcast and have it on a regular basis.
- 45:06Rick Costa: Oh, Sorry Go ahead, man, I thought it was going to go like this.
- 45:13Rick Costa: I was close.
- 45:13Rick Costa: I thought it was going to go like this.
- 45:16Carmen Lezeth: Say it to my face Go ahead.
- 45:23Tony D.: I don't know why everybody can understand me, but you.
- 45:27Tony D.: Hey, his mic is working good today and you're going to say somebody else's name, then read it and be like oh, it's her birthday.
- 45:35Carmen Lezeth: Wait, you said happy birthday, Sadie.
- 45:39Tony D.: How's everybody doing?
- 45:40Carmen Lezeth: Wait, did that not say happy birthday Sadie.
- 45:43Tony D.: At first you didn't.
- 45:43Tony D.: You'll see it on the replay.
- 45:44Carmen Lezeth: Because I thought you would, because you missed.
- 45:46Carmen Lezeth: It was Darcy's birthday on Tuesday, that's when her book's coming out.
- 45:49Carmen Lezeth: Happy birthday, Darcy.
- 45:49Carmen Lezeth: I did not know.
- 45:50Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, so.
- 45:51Carmen Lezeth: I thought okay, you want to apologize to me now.
- 45:53Carmen Lezeth: No, it was just.
- 45:54Carmen Lezeth: I thought you were saying happy birthday to Darcy.
- 45:57Carmen Lezeth: What name is behind the happy birthday?
- 45:59Carmen Lezeth: I just saw the happy B and then a D.
- 46:02Carmen Lezeth: I didn't see the S because I was going so fast because I'm trying to host the show.
- 46:07Tony D.: We've been around each other for a year, I have to tell you it is not that hard.
- 46:13Carmen Lezeth: It is not that hard.
- 46:15Carmen Lezeth: Here's the thing.
- 46:16Carmen Lezeth: I think you want me to understand you better than I have the capability of doing, or that I care to.
- 46:26Cynthia Ruiz: You care to See.
- 46:29Tony D.: Excuse me, I've been up here a lot.
- 46:32Tony D.: I said I was going to sit back.
- 46:33Tony D.: I went and got something to eat.
- 46:34Tony D.: I was taking my time, I was getting situated.
- 46:36Tony D.: You got something to say to my face.
- 46:37Cynthia Ruiz: I will click the hell out of it.
- 46:38Cynthia Ruiz: You know why I said that.
- 46:40Carmen Lezeth: Did you not get?
- 46:40Carmen Lezeth: Why I said that?
- 46:41Carmen Lezeth: You did not.
- 46:42Carmen Lezeth: You have no.
- 46:43Carmen Lezeth: Sadie understood why I said it.
- 46:44Carmen Lezeth: They understood why I said it.
- 46:47Carmen Lezeth: You have no idea.
- 46:48Carmen Lezeth: Okay, let me just give my little lesson I want to give today.
- 46:51Carmen Lezeth: I have a little lesson I want to share with you.
- 46:53Carmen Lezeth: How's everybody doing?
- 46:54Carmen Lezeth: Tony, we down to nine minutes?
- 46:58Carmen Lezeth: Alma, alma, no.
- 47:03Carmen Lezeth: Never ever, ever do that.
- 47:06Tony D.: We're going to have people coming down in this room.
- 47:09Tony D.: How are you all a hold of me?
- 47:10Tony D.: This is what me and her do.
- 47:11Tony D.: This is why we are on the opposite sides of the country.
- 47:14Carmen Lezeth: That's right, this is what we do.
- 47:15Carmen Lezeth: We fight, but we love, but we fight.
- 47:22Tony D.: Don't tell her her voice changing on me.
- 47:23Tony D.: We love, but we fight.
- 47:26Carmen Lezeth: That's the way it is, though.
- 47:27Carmen Lezeth: Okay, wait, I do have to do this lesson.
- 47:30Carmen Lezeth: There's a reason why this is not about politics.
- 47:33Carmen Lezeth: Like Spole siblings, that's a good one.
- 47:35Carmen Lezeth: That's right, anthony.
- 47:35Carmen Lezeth: Okay, here's the thing.
- 47:37Carmen Lezeth: So, on TikTok, I posted a TikTok explaining to people that I was both Latina and Black.
- 47:43Carmen Lezeth: So we're not getting into politics, but I do want to explain to people in case there's any confusion.
- 47:49Carmen Lezeth: This past week Was it yesterday, the day before Donald Trump was at the I'm taking the day off.
- 47:56Carmen Lezeth: I didn't tell you to come up.
- 47:57Carmen Lezeth: I did not tell you to come up.
- 47:58Carmen Lezeth: We're not going to talk about politics.
- 48:00Carmen Lezeth: You said it in my face.
- 48:01Carmen Lezeth: That's what you did.
- 48:01Carmen Lezeth: I said it in my face and you said nothing.
- 48:03Tony D.: You said nothing in my face.
- 48:04Tony D.: I got all zoomed up, I pulled a Mario, I got all in the camera.
- 48:08Carmen Lezeth: That's my boy, mario, but you said nothing, and then you realized that it was just a little mistake and that you understood that I was saying.
- 48:14Carmen Lezeth: I thought you said happy birthday to Darcy.
- 48:17Rick Costa: Is this a black job?
- 48:18Rick Costa: We kids in the house?
- 48:28Rick Costa: That's an excellent question.
- 48:29Rick Costa: Go ahead.
- 48:34Carmen Lezeth: Here's what I do.
- 48:34Carmen Lezeth: Want to explain something because I think it's important For everyone who's listening.
- 48:37Carmen Lezeth: This is not just about politics.
- 48:39Tony D.: Six and a half minutes.
- 48:40Carmen Lezeth: There are four races.
- 48:42Carmen Lezeth: There are only four races.
- 48:44Carmen Lezeth: Okay, this is how Vice President Harris and we we're gonna put respect on her name.
- 48:53Carmen Lezeth: If you don't know how to say her first name, you can call her.
- 48:55Carmen Lezeth: Vice president harris can be both with tony la cara.
- 48:57Carmen Lezeth: What's with the face?
- 48:58Carmen Lezeth: Why are you?
- 49:00Carmen Lezeth: I'm keeping my opinion to myself.
- 49:02Carmen Lezeth: I've been in opinion.
- 49:04Carmen Lezeth: I am trying to just put a smile with I'm this about opinion.
- 49:08Carmen Lezeth: This is a fact.
- 49:09Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to explain why people are confused, because I get the same drama from people when you're mixed.
- 49:15Carmen Lezeth: Okay, there are four races.
- 49:17Carmen Lezeth: The four races are black, white, asian, and then the fourth one is called and this I get it wrong all the time.
- 49:26Carmen Lezeth: It's called where is it?
- 49:28Carmen Lezeth: It used to be called it's like Austrioid, okay, austrioid.
- 49:35Carmen Lezeth: It's like Australia, but with an IOD.
- 49:38Carmen Lezeth: Okay, and it says it's a historical grouping of people indigenous to Australia and Melanesia.
- 49:47Carmen Lezeth: It can also refer to people from parts of Southeast Asia and South Asia.
- 49:52Carmen Lezeth: So the thing about race that's interesting is that race is a construct, about what we look like.
- 49:58Carmen Lezeth: It's usually about skin color, right, it's usually about characteristics, like what our nose looks like, our hair, whatever, but usually race is about we see something and we have we look alike.
- 50:10Carmen Lezeth: There's more like of me and Tony than maybe me and Rick.
- 50:14Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so, race, there's only four races.
- 50:17Carmen Lezeth: Kamala Harris, vice president Harris, has two races One is black and one is Asian.
- 50:25Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I have, I am black and my ethnicity is Latina, so ethnicity is different from race.
- 50:34Carmen Lezeth: Ethnicity is where you come from, so you can be white and be Irish.
- 50:40Carmen Lezeth: Your race is white, your ethnicity is Irish or Scottish or whatever.
- 50:48Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean Latino, like my mother's from Honduras.
- 50:52Carmen Lezeth: The reason why this is so important is because people are trying to disparage Vice President Harris for being both Black and Asian.
- 51:02Carmen Lezeth: Her family is very mixed, like all of ours, all of us if you're white, you're not just white, exactly, and now let me explain the last part of this that I think is really important.
- 51:10Carmen Lezeth: Like all of ours, all of us If you're white, you're not just white.
- 51:12Carmen Lezeth: And now let me explain the last part of this that I think is really important.
- 51:17Carmen Lezeth: Nationality is where we come from as a nation.
- 51:21Carmen Lezeth: So everyone on this live right now is from the United States of America.
- 51:23Carmen Lezeth: That's our nationality from America.
- 51:26Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so please Google and understand before you start making accusations.
- 51:32Carmen Lezeth: You can find different ways to disapprove of Donald Trump or disapprove of Kamala Harris.
- 51:41Carmen Lezeth: You can have your differences about whoever you want, but be better than trying to knock people down because of where they come from and who they are as individuals.
- 51:52Carmen Lezeth: That's like the lowest you can go, like I'm and this isn't just about the political thing, I'm just saying in general.
- 51:59Carmen Lezeth: We're so afraid of people that don't look like us, so we don't understand, instead of embracing the possibility that we could learn something and be somebody and do something.
- 52:10Carmen Lezeth: How do you, rafia?
- 52:11Carmen Lezeth: Is that how?
- 52:12Rick Costa: you say it, rafia.
- 52:13Carmen Lezeth: Rafia, I've been seeing the images on X as well.
- 52:16Carmen Lezeth: I think it's not fair to disparage her like that.
- 52:18Carmen Lezeth: Albeit, I don't live in USA.
- 52:20Carmen Lezeth: Oh, okay, thank you for saying that.
- 52:22Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry I didn't mean to say everybody in the chat as well, I meant here, but you're right.
- 52:25Carmen Lezeth: But thank you for saying that.
- 52:27Carmen Lezeth: I think it's just the lowest of low when we become those people, and I think the smarter thing to do, the better thing to do, is not only be educated and know those differences but also understand.
- 52:40Carmen Lezeth: That's the if you.
- 52:41Carmen Lezeth: There are so many other things you can argue with her about If you want to.
- 52:45Carmen Lezeth: If you can find something in her policies or things that she's done that you don't agree with, then that's going to be the high watermark for you to have a really good, solid argument.
- 52:56Carmen Lezeth: But to be taking people down and look at I said this when I was a kid, not that I would ever change where I come from, who I am or what I look like, but none of us have any control over that it's like being mad at somebody because they have blue eyes or brown eyes.
- 53:14Carmen Lezeth: It's the most ridiculous, pathetic thing, and all you're doing is showing I'm going to say it, your racism and your uneducated-ness and I just showed mine, because that's not really a word educated-ness.
- 53:27Carmen Lezeth: But you see what I'm saying there?
- 53:30Carmen Lezeth: It's like you're just showing who you are and how little you know.
- 53:34Carmen Lezeth: So please, I'm gonna say it one last time race, ethnicity, nationality, those are three different things and we all fit under those categories.
- 53:45Carmen Lezeth: Okay, go, tony, I feel like you have something you want to say about that.
- 53:51Carmen Lezeth: Do you disagree with those?
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: You got one minute left, sid.
- 53:54Carmen Lezeth: Now he's on the thing, cynthia.
- 53:58Cynthia Ruiz: No, I agree 100%.
- 54:02Carmen Lezeth: Rick.
- 54:03Rick Costa: Humans are weird.
- 54:04Rick Costa: I've always said this that if something happened and the world and they did a TV show about this something happened and the world went blind, everybody we would find something else to nitpick about.
- 54:17Rick Costa: Yeah, and it's crazy.
- 54:19Rick Costa: Why are humans like this?
- 54:20Rick Costa: I don't understand.
- 54:22Carmen Lezeth: I think it's just an easy way.
- 54:23Carmen Lezeth: Look, I've said this before.
- 54:25Carmen Lezeth: That's why I love this show and I love all about the joy as the concept and I love that I figured that out about myself that no matter what I went through as a kid, I always tried to find the joy.
- 54:35Carmen Lezeth: I think as humans, we tend to I don't know we always want to see the car accident, we always want to be in the drama.
- 54:44Carmen Lezeth: I think it takes a lot of effort to get out of the drama, to get out of to drama, to get out of, to force yourself to move away from that.
- 54:50Carmen Lezeth: And I have to tell you, it's like we were saying earlier getting toxic people out of your life.
- 54:55Carmen Lezeth: Why do we stay in it?
- 54:56Carmen Lezeth: Why do we stay in it?
- 54:57Carmen Lezeth: Because I think there's something that gravitates us to be in that situation.
- 55:03Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean To be in that situation, so we can maybe be figuring out something or trying to fix other people or whatever, when the easier thing to do is to walk away and fix yourself.
- 55:13Carmen Lezeth: Melanie, this will be the last comment I say, because we're going to jump off.
- 55:16Carmen Lezeth: Melanie said I wish politicians would just talk about their policies and not putting down their opponent.
- 55:21Carmen Lezeth: Melanie, you and I, we agree all the time.
- 55:25Carmen Lezeth: We have political differences, and yet you and I always agree on the same fundamental things, and this is why I believe our country is far more in the middle and agree on more things than we don't.
- 55:37Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, that's happening way too much.
- 55:40Carmen Lezeth: We're putting down each other instead of talking about our policies and arguing about things that are of substance, that really matter.
- 55:47Carmen Lezeth: With that said, I just want to say thank you to everyone who stopped by today.
- 55:52Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what's happening, but I'm grateful.
- 55:55Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 55:56Carmen Lezeth: Shout out to everyone watching the show.
- 55:58Carmen Lezeth: Thank you for everyone who stopped by in the chat.
- 56:00Carmen Lezeth: I adore you so much.
- 56:02Carmen Lezeth: I appreciate all the new people.
- 56:04Carmen Lezeth: So, with all that said, please remember everyone.
- 56:06Carmen Lezeth: It really is all about the joy.
- 56:08Carmen Lezeth: Please smash that like button, please, please.
- 56:12Carmen Lezeth: We really could use that, and we'll see you guys again next week.
- 56:15Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, bye everyone, see ya.
- 56:21Carmen Lezeth: Thanks for stopping by.
- 56:22Carmen Lezeth: All about the joy be better and stay beautiful.
- 56:25Carmen Lezeth: Folks have a sweet day.
