- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables, risk.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Is temporary and regrets forever.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Also take the risk.
- 0:07Speaker 4: Oh did you come up with that on the spot?
- 0:13Speaker 1: That was a bar.
- 0:14Speaker 5: Dude inspiring friendship and I think you know when you
- 0:18Speaker 5: feel like you've got those people in your life and
- 0:20Speaker 5: you're like, I just know I need to let go
- 0:22Speaker 5: of it, just let go because otherwise you're going to
- 0:25Speaker 5: be stuck in that people pleasing giving person all the
- 0:30Speaker 5: time and not allowing people in your life to give
- 0:33Speaker 5: the energy back that you use out.
- 0:35Speaker 6: If that makes sense. I love that one.
- 0:37Speaker 1: That is amazing advice, inspiring, friendship, relatable.
- 0:51Speaker 6: The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself, Jake Craig aka
- 0:55Speaker 6: Study my partner in Crime, Audie Clark a ka mummy.
- 1:01Speaker 6: I'm thinking I might start saying my podcaster in crime.
- 1:04Speaker 6: Well we always say my partner in crime, my podcaster
- 1:08Speaker 6: in crime.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I kind of like that very on theme.
- 1:11Speaker 6: Something like that my podcast something we'll think of something.
- 1:13Speaker 6: But today, guys, we have a kind of special episode.
- 1:17Speaker 6: It is a little bit a very wholesome. This is
- 1:21Speaker 6: going to be a special wholesome. We really got the idea,
- 1:26Speaker 6: so I already got the idea actually from a couple
- 1:28Speaker 6: episodes ago we had because we call people at the
- 1:31Speaker 6: end to sign off, but the listener, Beth, she gave
- 1:34Speaker 6: just like really good advice. Yeah, And so we thought,
- 1:37Speaker 6: let's do an episode where we get all quite a
- 1:41Speaker 6: few of the baddies to send in their like name, number, age, right,
- 1:45Speaker 6: and then we said, the reason that they like signing
- 1:49Speaker 6: up is because we're gonna call them for an episode
- 1:51Speaker 6: and they're gonna we're gonna ask them for like advice
- 1:53Speaker 6: that they would give to their self when they were twenty,
- 1:55Speaker 6: or like their younger self if they're only twenty at
- 1:57Speaker 6: the moment, and just see what everyone's got, because everyone's
- 1:59Speaker 6: got a different pearl here and there.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I like this for a couple of reasons. Actually, One
- 2:03Speaker 1: because we get to talk to the baddies, which is
- 2:06Speaker 1: very good plug if you want to join in in
- 2:08Speaker 1: any of these things in the future. It's on the
- 2:10Speaker 1: Facebook group yep Relatables Batties Unite. But two also, when
- 2:15Speaker 1: we first started this podcast, I thought it was going
- 2:17Speaker 1: to be so cool to create this audience but also
- 2:21Speaker 1: give back to them in a way, because it's kind
- 2:23Speaker 1: of rare when you can give someone a voice to
- 2:26Speaker 1: thousands of people. So the people were calling their advice
- 2:28Speaker 1: is going to impact more than just one two people
- 2:31Speaker 1: in a conversation, which I think is such a cool concept.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 6: Yeah, well, we would think we think because of the
- 2:37Speaker 6: question that we're going to be asking everyone, we should
- 2:40Speaker 6: start off quickly with advice that we would give to
- 2:42Speaker 6: our twenty year olds.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I feel like there's some pressure on us to give
- 2:44Speaker 1: some good advice. Yeah wait is there?
- 2:46Speaker 6: Yeah? It should we thought of people that would give
- 2:48Speaker 6: really great advice.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I think we need to take that away, and like
- 2:51Speaker 1: every advice is individualized, Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Because I'm thinking about my twenty year old self.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Like someone's advice might just be like, save you money,
- 2:57Speaker 1: which is good advice. That's a good that's good advice. Yeah.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Ye see if someone wants their twenty five year OLDLF,
- 3:02Speaker 6: if someone's their twenty year old self to have.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Saved money, to be fair, I wish I did. Yeah exactly. Yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but okay, what is your advice you would give your
- 3:10Speaker 1: twenty year old self?
- 3:11Speaker 6: Jake, shit, Okay, I reckon. So I'm happy that I
- 3:19Speaker 6: I finished my apprenticeship and everything. What's my twenty four you?
- 3:24Speaker 6: I'm the advice I will give myself is like as
- 3:29Speaker 6: of when I was twenty, right, Yeah, I would say, like,
- 3:34Speaker 6: really feel the feelings you're feeling, because I know what
- 3:36Speaker 6: I was feeling at the time, and like back yourself
- 3:40Speaker 6: and go with your gut. Don't just do something because
- 3:45Speaker 6: you think it's right. Do it because it's right for you.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Do it because that's how you're feeling. Yeah, because when
- 3:50Speaker 6: I was twenty, I was really like it was it
- 3:53Speaker 6: was just a massive Oh man, I don't want to
- 3:56Speaker 6: finish this apprenticeship. I don't want to fuck it. I
- 3:58Speaker 6: hate what I'm doing. There was so much. Yeah, I
- 4:01Speaker 6: think just more confidence in.
- 4:03Speaker 1: The decisions, doing things for you how you feel, Yeah,
- 4:07Speaker 1: because that's what you want to do.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Yeah. Maybe the best advice I would say actually is
- 4:13Speaker 6: start the podcast now started at twenty, Please please start.
- 4:17Speaker 1: At a twenty I'm happy about journey. That would be
- 4:20Speaker 1: sick that magically it would be.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Yeah, i'd say back myself like I didn't, Yeah I had,
- 4:25Speaker 6: I had didn't feel pressure from anyone.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But it's funny how much maturing really does. Yeah help. Yeah,
- 4:32Speaker 1: you don't think of when you're twenty, but you're like
- 4:34Speaker 1: you're like, no, I know everything about now Yeah, maturing
- 4:37Speaker 1: and going through life really does wonders, doesn't it?
- 4:39Speaker 6: One hundred percent? Have you got any what advice would
- 4:42Speaker 6: you give to twenty year old Bodie A.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Few things floating around in the brain.
- 4:46Speaker 6: There's so much you could give. Yeah, yeah, what's your favorite?
- 4:49Speaker 1: My favorite one right now, which is sort of reoccurring,
- 4:53Speaker 1: what would I tell myself in my twenties? The world
- 4:56Speaker 1: gives back the amount of effort you put in, So, like,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I think a big misconception in life is that doing
- 5:05Speaker 1: something that is stereotypically good in society's eyes, but doing
- 5:11Speaker 1: that because that's told what you're meant to do, but
- 5:13Speaker 1: putting in a minimalist way, like not putting in a
- 5:16Speaker 1: lot of effort isn't very good in my eyes. And
- 5:19Speaker 1: I think rather putting a lot of effort into something
- 5:22Speaker 1: you loved that stereotypically isn't that good, is such a
- 5:25Speaker 1: better avenue to go through in life because you enjoy
- 5:27Speaker 1: things a lot more, and like life will give back
- 5:30Speaker 1: because you're putting so much in rather than just doing
- 5:33Speaker 1: something because that's what you're told to do, sort of
- 5:34Speaker 1: along the same lines as yours.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Yeah, shit, fux, that's a good one. Wow, God, there's
- 5:39Speaker 6: got to be more. I actually think another one that
- 5:44Speaker 6: I would want to give myself, maybe my younger self, right,
- 5:47Speaker 6: is you were right when you thought it was manipulation, controversy,
- 5:59Speaker 6: You were when you thought it goes goes to trust
- 6:02Speaker 6: your gut. You were right when you thought it was
- 6:05Speaker 6: a manipulation. You did have a bit of a that
- 6:08Speaker 6: would go back to younger than twenty. That would be
- 6:10Speaker 6: for my late sixteen, all of seventeen year old self.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You did have a tough way of figuring out what
- 6:17Speaker 1: love is like. Yeah, a bit of a tricky journey.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Didn't you give me some advice mate? That ain't love?
- 6:22Speaker 1: I feel like your best advice would be break up?
- 6:25Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you've thought about it so
- 6:28Speaker 6: much as do it. Actually, the best bit of advice
- 6:35Speaker 6: would be for my eighteen year old self, don't get
- 6:37Speaker 6: back together with her, don't have sex of her, don't
- 6:42Speaker 6: get back together with the trust me you don't want
- 6:44Speaker 6: to know.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Your best advice would be don't message your in the
- 6:46Speaker 1: first place.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, blocker, no contract were oute.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Oh but we're starting in a very special way today,
- 6:54Speaker 1: j can't.
- 6:54Speaker 2: We we are?
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah, we're actually gonna the first caller we're going to
- 6:58Speaker 6: have is the first person calling. He's going to be
- 7:01Speaker 6: my dad, because I don't know, I think he might
- 7:04Speaker 6: hit us with a pearler. So I've called he he's
- 7:06Speaker 6: had a four warning warning. Yeah, I called him beforehand,
- 7:09Speaker 6: and the question the advice he's doing is. I said, like,
- 7:13Speaker 6: what's advice you, now, at fifty two, would give your
- 7:17Speaker 6: twenty five year old self.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I think this one's good too, because he's the only
- 7:20Speaker 1: person over fifty we're calling.
- 7:22Speaker 6: Yeah, so he was a bit like and fair enough too.
- 7:26Speaker 6: He's probably like, oh she's I was okay, you got
- 7:28Speaker 6: ten minutes. He was like, oh, okay, imagine comes and
- 7:31Speaker 6: spits a bar.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah hopefully. I mean you're like Brett, who, Yeah, who
- 7:35Speaker 1: is that?
- 7:36Speaker 6: So we've told yeah, I.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Mean, I'm I'm I'm intrigued. Let's give him a ring.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Ah, Hello, Dad, is that you?
- 7:50Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 7:50Speaker 6: I didn't kind of even call you or anything.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That's crazy, Brett, there's a garden. Good, very good. Uh.
- 7:58Speaker 6: So we've told everyone that you've had forewarning of what
- 8:02Speaker 6: the question would be, so we don't know what your
- 8:04Speaker 6: advice to your twenty five year old self is going
- 8:06Speaker 6: to be though, but we're very intrigued. Have you thought
- 8:08Speaker 6: of something?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:10Speaker 3: I have.
- 8:12Speaker 6: So what advice would you give you twenty five year
- 8:14Speaker 6: old self? As a fifty two year old man, what
- 8:17Speaker 6: advice would you give your twenty five year old self?
- 8:20Speaker 8: Oh? I thought about a few things. I think definitely
- 8:25Speaker 8: start hair transplant therapy.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Is this advice for Jay?
- 8:32Speaker 6: This is advice for me?
- 8:35Speaker 8: Have a look at the family tree.
- 8:39Speaker 1: No, no, that's all we need.
- 8:43Speaker 8: I did think of one thing, honestly, Yeah, I reckon.
- 8:47Speaker 8: The best advice would be to myself and on twenty
- 8:50Speaker 8: five is just don't take life too seriously.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Oh I like that.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I love that.
- 8:55Speaker 6: That's a good one.
- 8:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Thanks, that's actually really good, Thank you very much.
- 9:00Speaker 8: Sometimes it's not real easy to do.
- 9:02Speaker 6: No, no, I mean it's to be fair like I mean,
- 9:07Speaker 6: how seriously do you reckon? You have taken it because
- 9:09Speaker 6: you're not like a very high guy.
- 9:13Speaker 5: No I'm not.
- 9:13Speaker 8: But I reckon too seriously at times I do think. Yeah,
- 9:17Speaker 8: I mean, you know, you just you just see what
- 9:19Speaker 8: you do.
- 9:19Speaker 1: But yeah, it's easy to get caught up in the
- 9:22Speaker 1: hustle and bustle, isn't it.
- 9:24Speaker 8: Absolutely Yeah, I.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Didn't like it. Well, thank you very much.
- 9:31Speaker 8: Too easy, and have a good day.
- 9:33Speaker 6: I'll see you at the end of this month.
- 9:36Speaker 8: Yeah, you will not worried.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Happy birthday for the other day.
- 9:39Speaker 8: But to sorry, I'm trying to go Gold Coast traffic
- 9:43Speaker 8: and I'm still that way around.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Fair enough, Thank you, sell you guys. Bye.
- 9:52Speaker 6: That's fun. He didn't see it. He didn't hear his
- 9:54Speaker 6: happy birthday. That's so funny. That was actually good advice.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I like that. I like the theme of what the
- 10:01Speaker 1: episode is going to be.
- 10:02Speaker 6: Yeah, don't take yourself too seriously. Yeah, I think that's
- 10:05Speaker 6: good for us too. Like I was trying to it's
- 10:09Speaker 6: kind of hard, like over the phone. It's probably like
- 10:11Speaker 6: easier that you and I maybe like kind of dissected
- 10:14Speaker 6: a bit, right. I was trying to think about, like
- 10:18Speaker 6: what it would really mean because I was trying to
- 10:19Speaker 6: apply it to how how we are.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's it's like our job is very cool and we're
- 10:24Speaker 1: very appreciative of that, although we do let the little
- 10:29Speaker 1: business side of things well I do anyone. I don't
- 10:31Speaker 1: know about you, what i't want to talk for you
- 10:32Speaker 1: like sometimes get in the way and it gets a
- 10:33Speaker 1: little bit stressful. But like honestly, if we just took
- 10:36Speaker 1: a little step back and like, yeah, well, like it's
- 10:38Speaker 1: just gonna work itself out. Like the difference between what
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm doing right now and if I didn't care, like really,
- 10:43Speaker 1: isn't that big?
- 10:44Speaker 6: No, Yeah, it's kind of like, again, what's another way
- 10:49Speaker 6: to say? It's kind of so don't take everything, like,
- 10:51Speaker 6: don't take life so seriously? Is it kind of like
- 10:55Speaker 6: a way of saying, don't sweat the small things, Like, yeah, reckon,
- 10:58Speaker 6: it's because some people obviously sweat the small things. You
- 11:01Speaker 6: don't want to say like, oh you shouldn't because maybe
- 11:03Speaker 6: I don't know how they're feeling.
- 11:04Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 11:06Speaker 6: I think we're pretty cruisy, like we aren't too much.
- 11:11Speaker 6: But even like when we did Shits and Gigs the
- 11:15Speaker 6: podcast studio that we hired, a great looking studio, final
- 11:19Speaker 6: product was amazing, but the customer service we have spoken
- 11:24Speaker 6: about to this day terrible. With our manager. Yeah, we
- 11:27Speaker 6: have spoken about it via WhatsApp chat group at least
- 11:30Speaker 6: three times a week to this Yeah, and I mean, look,
- 11:34Speaker 6: I stand by everything we've said, but again, it's kind
- 11:37Speaker 6: of like I guess it's over.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I guess and it worked. If it all works out. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 1: don't sweat the small stuff. But it's so hard. Like
- 11:43Speaker 1: when we're in it, sort of your emotions takeover and
- 11:45Speaker 1: we're like this is so shit, Like, oh, that's bullshit.
- 11:47Speaker 1: They didn't remember that. So it's sort of like I
- 11:50Speaker 1: guess taking a step away and being like does it
- 11:52Speaker 1: really matter? No? No, No, it's all going to work out. Yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 1: you're just going to play with the cards your dell mate.
- 11:59Speaker 1: We're starting off with a bit of a bang up.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Yeah shit, Okay, who's next? Who's next? Okay? Ready, yeah, okay,
- 12:04Speaker 6: we'll go. We've got Amity.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Amity. That's a cool name.
- 12:09Speaker 9: Hello.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Hello, is that Amity?
- 12:11Speaker 7: Yes it is.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I just want to say a big thank you for
- 12:14Speaker 1: picking up first ring. Firstly, this is Jake and Odi
- 12:16Speaker 1: from the Relatables podcast. How you going here? You going?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:25Speaker 6: Good.
- 12:27Speaker 1: We have a couple of questions we would like to
- 12:30Speaker 1: ask you, if that's all right? Yeah. First one is
- 12:33Speaker 1: are we all right to ask your age?
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:36Speaker 1: I'm twenty twenty. Okay, okay, this one is interesting. We
- 12:41Speaker 1: would love to ask what's some advice you would give
- 12:44Speaker 1: your younger self.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Don't get too deep into the fields and just let
- 12:50Speaker 2: shit happens because at the end of the day, everything
- 12:54Speaker 2: happens for a reason, and people aren't going to change just.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Because you make your old mail or something.
- 13:00Speaker 6: Oh drop, that was so good at the end.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's apite a bit of a bar the end. Wow,
- 13:06Speaker 1: twenty two.
- 13:07Speaker 6: That is very very it's twenty years old as well.
- 13:10Speaker 1: That's way better than I would have given. I think
- 13:12Speaker 1: a lot of people would love to hear that. Like,
- 13:15Speaker 1: drama feels good when you're trying to like cause it,
- 13:17Speaker 1: but it really doesn't get anything out.
- 13:19Speaker 9: Yeah in the moment, but like it's just not worth it.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Couldn't agree, but it just creates just.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Like so much bullshit people just don't need.
- 13:28Speaker 5: And it doesn't change.
- 13:29Speaker 9: It doesn't change what's going to happen at the end
- 13:31Speaker 9: of the day. I suppose.
- 13:32Speaker 6: Oh that's a good point.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Actually it doesn't change the outcome does very good point.
- 13:35Speaker 6: So yeah, that's that's a good one. Thank you very much, Amity.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, so you later have a good day.
- 13:41Speaker 6: By Oh shit, man, that was good.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm loving this episode. This is interesting. This is very interesting.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Let's dissect it.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Okay, wait the mic drop at the.
- 13:52Speaker 1: End though, Yeah, the drama. Oh just let it happen,
- 13:58Speaker 1: like it's not get caught up in the field. It's
- 13:59Speaker 1: sort of like it's hard to hear, but it's like
- 14:01Speaker 1: it's not that deep.
- 14:03Speaker 6: True, some things, some things are that deep, yes, but
- 14:07Speaker 6: some things genuinely just are not that deep.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely a time and a place
- 14:12Speaker 1: to deep it. But yeah, most of the time, as
- 14:16Speaker 1: little as like I don't know, maybe.
- 14:20Speaker 6: Something doesn't go right at a restaurant, like there's so
- 14:23Speaker 6: many people in this world that would be more than
- 14:25Speaker 6: happy or fucking cause a scene, yeah, waiter, or what else.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Like I'm thinking, like taking myself back to high school,
- 14:34Speaker 1: seeing something from like a third's point of view, like
- 14:39Speaker 1: a third person POV. You saw a lot of girl
- 14:42Speaker 1: groups have drama.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Yeah, that was a bit kind of a common theme
- 14:47Speaker 6: at our school. Yeah, I think that's relatable.
- 14:49Speaker 1: A lot of girl groups do these things and someone
- 14:51Speaker 1: retaliates because something bad has happened to them, and fair enough,
- 14:55Speaker 1: it's made you feel a certain way. But the older
- 14:58Speaker 1: we get, I'm trying to interpret what she was saying.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm thinking, like, just that person's done that for a reason,
- 15:05Speaker 1: move on, like you don't have to continue the drama
- 15:08Speaker 1: and make it go on and on and on.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like causing a scene out of something someone
- 15:12Speaker 6: has done to you isn't going to change what they did.
- 15:14Speaker 1: To you exactly.
- 15:15Speaker 6: You know. It's it's a lot easier and a lot
- 15:20Speaker 6: a lot less energy consuming to just Oh.
- 15:23Speaker 1: There's a good case of advice that I'll give my
- 15:25Speaker 1: younger self, protect your peace or protect your energy. Facts, bro.
- 15:30Speaker 1: It took me a while to realize where all my
- 15:33Speaker 1: energy was going. And I was getting to the end
- 15:34Speaker 1: of the day.
- 15:35Speaker 6: My god, I'm exhausted.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, facts, And I was trying to please all these
- 15:38Speaker 1: people I didn't need to please, and I was doing
- 15:39Speaker 1: all these things I didn't do, like and I stopped
- 15:42Speaker 1: like prioritizing other people's feelings.
- 15:44Speaker 6: That kind of sounds to be a little selfish. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 6: I think there's a time and a place to be selfish.
- 15:48Speaker 6: I agree. Okay, we'll go. We've got Alex.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Hello.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Hello, is this Alex?
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yes speaking Alex.
- 15:58Speaker 6: This is Jake and Addie from the relator. Was how
- 16:00Speaker 6: you going well? How are you doing really well?
- 16:04Speaker 1: We got your your.
- 16:06Speaker 6: Name and number from the submissions that are you put
- 16:08Speaker 6: in the Facebook group? Yes, and so I think what
- 16:14Speaker 6: was the we've got a question for you.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Is it all right if we asked your age first?
- 16:20Speaker 3: Yes, that's fine.
- 16:21Speaker 9: How Alex Tue.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Thirty three, Well, firstly, thank you for submitting, and we
- 16:25Speaker 1: have a question for you. Yes, we would like to
- 16:29Speaker 1: ask some advice you would tell yourself in your twenties
- 16:32Speaker 1: or your younger self.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Advice I would tell my younger self. I think it
- 16:42Speaker 3: would be just to not care so much about what
- 16:45Speaker 3: other people think.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, it really impacts I think how you then
- 16:57Speaker 3: do things in your life, Like you kind of, you know,
- 17:01Speaker 3: follow their passway or something like that. But if you
- 17:03Speaker 3: just kind of don't give a crap about it, What age.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Do you create that you sort of start to figure
- 17:08Speaker 1: that out.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I'd probably say, like, honestly myself mid to late twenties,
- 17:14Speaker 3: but I wish I worked it out sort of early
- 17:16Speaker 3: to mid twenties.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Fair enough.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, that's a good developmental phase in life.
- 17:24Speaker 6: It's like a super relatable one. Though everyone cares what
- 17:27Speaker 6: everyone thinks when you're younger, Hey, they.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Do, and I think, yeah, we need to stop caring
- 17:32Speaker 3: so much about it.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I feel like you have more freedom and more fun
- 17:35Speaker 1: and you start being yourself and you stop caring.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely one hundred percent.
- 17:41Speaker 1: We thank you so much.
- 17:43Speaker 3: No, you're very welcome. Thank you for calling. I forgot
- 17:47Speaker 3: you guys. I forgot you. Guys were calling and I'm like,
- 17:49Speaker 3: I reckon, this is them. I was like, I'm in
- 17:51Speaker 3: a study day with work and I'm like, oh, I'm
- 17:53Speaker 3: just going to excuse myself for a second and walk out.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I'm like, don't normally answer private calls, but that's fine.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Appreciate a work.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Oh that was good.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Don't care for people think.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I feel like we're really trying to implement that. That's funny.
- 18:13Speaker 1: You said the other day. Was it on Patreon or
- 18:16Speaker 1: normal episode where the comments sort of affected you? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 18:19Speaker 1: that's Patreon.
- 18:19Speaker 6: I think it was Patreon, I believe.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Yeah, And you're like, really dying and it only affected
- 18:24Speaker 1: you for a couple of minutes, but you're like, it
- 18:25Speaker 1: almost ruined your whole day.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I could have lucky.
- 18:27Speaker 1: It was at the end of the day. I was
- 18:28Speaker 1: about to go to bed. I slept it off. Oh man.
- 18:32Speaker 6: But yeah, not caring what people think, it's I find
- 18:35Speaker 6: I'm trying to think like there's so many even like
- 18:41Speaker 6: when when people are young, they have way less of
- 18:44Speaker 6: a filter. Yes, I feel like when you're young you
- 18:47Speaker 6: have less empathy because you haven't really discovered what empathy
- 18:49Speaker 6: is yet, right, true. And as little as like someone
- 18:56Speaker 6: buying a pair of shoes that they thought they liked
- 18:58Speaker 6: and then wearing them to school and then someone's like,
- 19:02Speaker 6: nice choice, like those are fucking shit.
- 19:05Speaker 1: No, you said that to me the other day, and
- 19:06Speaker 1: then on what on my Nike? Would stand by it?
- 19:10Speaker 1: I stand by it? Yeah, my tens I bought.
- 19:14Speaker 6: But here's a thing. I know what you're saying is
- 19:17Speaker 6: the advice is you shouldn't care what I say.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but you also take it one step further. You
- 19:22Speaker 1: shouldn't say anything.
- 19:24Speaker 6: No, true, I shouldn't say anything. I shouldn't care. I
- 19:27Speaker 6: shouldn't care. To be fair, I mean, if you wore
- 19:29Speaker 6: I'm not going to fucking in public. I'm not gonna
- 19:31Speaker 6: be like, OHI what the fuck in front of each
- 19:33Speaker 6: of people. But it's just like you really I don't
- 19:38Speaker 6: know little things. But then it's like if that happened
- 19:41Speaker 6: when you were younger, or if it happened to me
- 19:44Speaker 6: when I was younger, like I wouldn't never wear those
- 19:45Speaker 6: shoes again, probably even when I'm thirty.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it takes a lot to come out of your
- 19:51Speaker 1: shell and start like expressing yourself. Like me, for example,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I wear quite bright and colorful clothes, which during school,
- 20:00Speaker 1: when a couple of years out of I didn't do
- 20:02Speaker 1: because I always like that and I knew I liked that,
- 20:05Speaker 1: but that wasn't normal, so instead I would just wear
- 20:08Speaker 1: what like every other boy wore. Simple thing is that
- 20:12Speaker 1: now I'm wearing color and I really like I like
- 20:14Speaker 1: on the gym and a bright pink shirt and a
- 20:15Speaker 1: pink hat. I wear my gold t ns there. Mate, Like,
- 20:19Speaker 1: that sounds like such a neat but it sounds like
- 20:23Speaker 1: it's so true though. I think that's really good advice
- 20:25Speaker 1: and the sooner you can implement that and hearing that
- 20:27Speaker 1: from other it's so good to hear advice from like
- 20:30Speaker 1: your dad, for example. But even when I hear advice
- 20:32Speaker 1: from my parents, I'm like, hey, whatever, dad, Yeah, it's
- 20:35Speaker 1: just like, because they're like so much older, you just
- 20:37Speaker 1: like sort of take it and don't really take it
- 20:39Speaker 1: in I'm not saying it's bad advice by any means.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I feel like that's what every kid does. But hearing
- 20:43Speaker 1: it from people who are of similar age, I think
- 20:45Speaker 1: is a really useful tool because I don't know something
- 20:47Speaker 1: about that dynamic makes the information, even though it's not
- 20:50Speaker 1: more valuable, seem more valuable. You know what I'm saying.
- 20:52Speaker 6: I think it's it's more when it comes from certain people,
- 20:55Speaker 6: it's more valuable.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, if you gave me a piece of advice
- 20:57Speaker 1: and my dad's gave me the insame piece advice, I
- 21:00Speaker 1: would listen to you more fair. Yeah. Fair. I find
- 21:03Speaker 1: like in certain things, like if it's something with life experience,
- 21:07Speaker 1: you would listen to the elderly, like I was giving
- 21:09Speaker 1: like fashion advice.
- 21:10Speaker 6: Y yeah, but like the best bit of advice my
- 21:13Speaker 6: dad ever gave me, and for some reason I didn't.
- 21:15Speaker 6: I think he kind of just gave it as like
- 21:16Speaker 6: a throwaway thing. Remember he gave me was like a
- 21:20Speaker 6: throwaway thing, and he was just like he was just like, yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 6: if you like to be the happiest in life, you
- 21:27Speaker 6: just figure out what you love and try and make
- 21:29Speaker 6: money doing that. I was like, oh, unintentionally, I've done
- 21:33Speaker 6: that subconsciously.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah, isn't that funny?
- 21:36Speaker 6: I reckon of advice you gave me.
- 21:38Speaker 1: You hear that, and you're like, yeah, man, Dad.
- 21:41Speaker 6: At the time, I was like, that's ship advice. Yes,
- 21:44Speaker 6: I was like, genuinely, that's fucking terrible advice because act
- 21:46Speaker 6: like I'm not gonna make like there's I'm not good
- 21:50Speaker 6: enough to be a professional athlete. I like riding my bike,
- 21:55Speaker 6: but I don't want to be a mountain bike rider.
- 21:57Speaker 6: I liked it. What.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like, what do you mean when you're a kid?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Advice sort of sounds cliche or unrealistic because you're like whatever.
- 22:04Speaker 6: It does grow into it. Advice is most cliche thing ever.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, who should we?
- 22:10Speaker 6: We will go next, We'll go let's call someone else. Okay,
- 22:12Speaker 6: we got Chloe. This is Jake and Oddy from the Relatables.
- 22:15Speaker 2: How are you no? Why swell.
- 22:25Speaker 1: The How how are you going?
- 22:29Speaker 2: Oh good? We're just finished up finishing up her work?
- 22:32Speaker 6: So nice?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Nice?
- 22:34Speaker 6: Well, yeah, we would like to ask you a couple
- 22:36Speaker 6: of questions.
- 22:36Speaker 2: If that's okay, Yeah, that's that's fine.
- 22:39Speaker 6: First one, are we all right to ask your age?
- 22:42Speaker 2: Yes?
- 22:43Speaker 6: How old are you?
- 22:44Speaker 2: I'm twenty three.
- 22:45Speaker 6: Twenty three okay. Next question is what is some advice
- 22:49Speaker 6: that you would give to your twenty year old self
- 22:52Speaker 6: or maybe younger self.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Hmm, take your time, no rush.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Probably that risk is temporary and regret it is forever.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Also take the risk.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Oh did you come up there on the spot?
- 23:19Speaker 1: That was a bar too?
- 23:22Speaker 3: Why that?
- 23:24Speaker 5: I can't believe you guys are calling me.
- 23:28Speaker 6: I'm happy we did under pressure.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It did good.
- 23:31Speaker 6: It was a great one. What would you?
- 23:34Speaker 4: Uh?
- 23:35Speaker 6: Wow, I'm just thinking what time for risks are you
- 23:37Speaker 6: going to start taking?
- 23:38Speaker 1: Or what risk have you taken at twenty three already?
- 23:40Speaker 1: Do you think.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I opened a business with my dad? Yeah, like coroner,
- 23:48Speaker 2: like co owners of the business.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Oh what's your business? If you don't mind just asking?
- 23:53Speaker 6: Ah?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Sorry, we're in like a shopping center and we do
- 23:55Speaker 2: like through cafe thought part thing.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Oh where is it? Give it a shower in Ballarat? Yep?
- 24:03Speaker 6: Yeah from Ballarat?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Oh really yeah?
- 24:08Speaker 6: There you go and it's in wat shopping center.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Stop player, awesome, there you go.
- 24:13Speaker 6: Everybody go find it.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Well thanks for so much that No, thank you.
- 24:20Speaker 6: Keep killing it, Chloe, wo killing it you guys, thank you,
- 24:24Speaker 6: thank you having.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Today by you two bye? Wait that was Oi.
- 24:29Speaker 6: When she was saying it, I was like it was
- 24:32Speaker 6: like being nice, and I was like, wait, I'm not
- 24:35Speaker 6: sure how I feel about this.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Say it again.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Risk is temporary, Okay, risk is temporary, Regret is forever,
- 24:43Speaker 6: So take the risk.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I feel like that should be like a tattoo or
- 24:47Speaker 1: something that was so sick. Honestly, I can relate to
- 24:51Speaker 1: that in so many different ways as well, like honestly, oh,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I'm talking away. That's a fucking sick one. Thinking about
- 24:58Speaker 1: myself at twenty and all the things I want to
- 25:00Speaker 1: do and I didn't do it, and I sort of regret,
- 25:02Speaker 1: like you said at the start, like starting the podcast,
- 25:04Speaker 1: even though we didn't have the idea we were written
- 25:05Speaker 1: on starting earlier, like every single person take the risks. Yeah.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I might have been twenty at the time.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Actually it would have been. It's probably I could go
- 25:15Speaker 6: check my Instagram. The video is probably still up. But
- 25:18Speaker 6: I remember for my birthday when I for my twenty
- 25:20Speaker 6: year old birthday, I got my I wanted a camera.
- 25:23Speaker 6: I remember this and I was like, the fuck, wouldn't
- 25:26Speaker 6: it be sick like to just make videos?
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:28Speaker 6: I wouldn't just be fucking actic. I made one video.
- 25:32Speaker 6: I might have made two videos, but yeah, my girlfriend
- 25:37Speaker 6: at the time. I just remember like going out one
- 25:39Speaker 6: AVO to a party. We got drunk and I was
- 25:43Speaker 6: like getting to a point where the relationship was getting
- 25:45Speaker 6: like back end and we used to fight when we
- 25:49Speaker 6: were drunk a bit, and yeah, I don't know. She
- 25:53Speaker 6: just was like, you're changing.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I remember this is a video thing.
- 25:57Speaker 6: I was like, it's fine.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I was like, I like it changing.
- 26:00Speaker 6: I was like, I want to try.
- 26:00Speaker 1: It's like, has that bad?
- 26:02Speaker 6: And at the time I didn't realize I was growing.
- 26:07Speaker 6: I was like, well, maybe I'm changing, And so I
- 26:09Speaker 6: stopped making I stopped doing it, and like, I guess
- 26:12Speaker 6: if I really wanted to do it, I would have
- 26:13Speaker 6: kept doing it. But yeah, it was just like, yeah,
- 26:16Speaker 6: so I kind of wish maybe And again fear of
- 26:19Speaker 6: what people think.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Hmm. It comes back to that. And also like it's
- 26:23Speaker 1: hard to realize what barriers you will face when you
- 26:28Speaker 1: take the risk, but it's sort of like staying true
- 26:31Speaker 1: to what you want to do and who you want
- 26:34Speaker 1: to be. Whereas like your barrier was your girlfriend, Like
- 26:37Speaker 1: it's not her fault, you didn't do it, it was just
- 26:38Speaker 1: a barrier that popped up, But like in hindsight, you
- 26:42Speaker 1: knew what you wanted, and if you could have told
- 26:44Speaker 1: yourself just tapped you on the shoulder and been like,
- 26:46Speaker 1: just keep going, yeah, just do it, Just keep doing it.
- 26:48Speaker 6: Those ideas that you've got. One time, Jack and I
- 26:51Speaker 6: actually filmed a video that I never edited or posted,
- 26:54Speaker 6: and I'd say that the footage is long gone in
- 26:57Speaker 6: existence somewhere and terrible idea. The video is definitely shit,
- 27:03Speaker 6: but it just makes me think, like, imagine, if like you,
- 27:05Speaker 6: just because that's where you start, you stick to it, right, Yeah,
- 27:09Speaker 6: it's like, it's funny.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I'll tell you. Another piece of advice they are coming
- 27:12Speaker 1: to me now that I'll tell my younger self is
- 27:16Speaker 1: you're going to be bad at something when you try
- 27:18Speaker 1: something new, and that's okay.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Oh my god, no one is an expert on the
- 27:22Speaker 6: first fucking try.
- 27:24Speaker 1: The hardest thing about we obviously bring it back to
- 27:26Speaker 1: social media because we did this podcast, But the hardest
- 27:29Speaker 1: thing about doing anything new, especially on social media is
- 27:31Speaker 1: because you're open to so many eyes, is there's the
- 27:34Speaker 1: assumption that you have to be a pro at it
- 27:36Speaker 1: straight away, where in reality, imagine if you tried to
- 27:40Speaker 1: ride a bike for the first time at like twenty
- 27:43Speaker 1: and you just like fell over, you'd be like, well,
- 27:45Speaker 1: that's normal, I've never done it before. But for some
- 27:46Speaker 1: reason on social media, when you post a video and
- 27:48Speaker 1: it doesn't go viral, you're like that was disheartening, wasn't it.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Yeah that again, Yeah, yeah, that way. It's the same
- 27:56Speaker 1: thing riding vike. Yeah, but I bet you'd get up
- 27:59Speaker 1: from falling over on the bike. Try again, try again
- 28:02Speaker 1: after a couple of months, six months, give you a
- 28:04Speaker 1: fucking pro mate.
- 28:06Speaker 6: But yes, risk is temporary, regret last forever, So take
- 28:10Speaker 6: the risk is crazy?
- 28:11Speaker 1: The baddie coming with some heat.
- 28:12Speaker 6: That okay. Next we have Olivia Helene.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Hello Olivia, it's Audi and Jake from the laateds podcast.
- 28:19Speaker 1: How are you going good?
- 28:21Speaker 3: Thank you? How are you?
- 28:22Speaker 1: We're very very good. Firstly, we want to say thank
- 28:25Speaker 1: you for picking up. Do you mind if we ask
- 28:27Speaker 1: your age?
- 28:28Speaker 6: Yes?
- 28:29Speaker 1: Twenty six, twenty six six perfect And today's theme of
- 28:33Speaker 1: the episode is giving your twenty year old self some
- 28:36Speaker 1: advice or your younger self if that suits better. Could
- 28:39Speaker 1: we please pose that question to you? You can, oh god,
- 28:44Speaker 1: take your time to no rush.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Don't sweat the small stuff.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Don't sweat this. There you go. When do you reckon
- 28:54Speaker 1: you start to implement that a little bit more.
- 28:56Speaker 3: The older you got, umm, probably the last year and
- 29:00Speaker 3: a half, two years.
- 29:01Speaker 6: I'd say, yeah, yeah, fair enough.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah, fair enough. Well that's some great advice. Thank you
- 29:06Speaker 1: very much.
- 29:07Speaker 6: Thank you, have a good day. Okay. Next we have Lotus.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Oh another cool name.
- 29:20Speaker 6: Unique, Hello, missus, Socius. Hello is so Lotus? Sorry you
- 29:26Speaker 6: caught us off guard there. You answered that very properly.
- 29:27Speaker 6: This is jaking andy from the relatables. How are you?
- 29:30Speaker 9: No, it's not, it is.
- 29:32Speaker 6: You're the first person to answer with their name. Each
- 29:35Speaker 6: time some of everyone says hello, and we'll be like, oh, Lotus,
- 29:37Speaker 6: is that you go?
- 29:44Speaker 1: How are you going?
- 29:46Speaker 9: I'm really well?
- 29:47Speaker 8: How are you doing?
- 29:49Speaker 1: Really really good?
- 29:50Speaker 6: We would like to ask you a couple of questions
- 29:52Speaker 6: if that's okay, oh so, first one is is it
- 29:56Speaker 6: all right if we ask how old you are?
- 29:59Speaker 9: Yes?
- 30:00Speaker 3: Oh shit?
- 30:01Speaker 9: How old am I? Twenty four?
- 30:03Speaker 6: Twenty four? Next question is, yep, what is some advice
- 30:08Speaker 6: that you would give your twenty year old self or
- 30:11Speaker 6: maybe your younger self?
- 30:13Speaker 9: Oh my god, am I love to swear?
- 30:14Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 30:17Speaker 9: The motto is fuck it, just do it.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Honestly.
- 30:20Speaker 9: I can get yourself. Just go for it?
- 30:26Speaker 6: Have you? Have you implemented that at twenty four?
- 30:31Speaker 9: Yes, that's this year's what I'll just fuck it and
- 30:34Speaker 9: go for it.
- 30:35Speaker 1: What sort of things are you doing this year? If
- 30:37Speaker 1: you don't mind us asking?
- 30:38Speaker 9: I am starting my own social media marketing agency. Yeah
- 30:47Speaker 9: I know, but happening. And then I just moved back
- 30:51Speaker 9: from the Goldie back to the Hunter Valley to save
- 30:54Speaker 9: to then move to my dream city.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Oh where do you dream city?
- 30:59Speaker 9: It's so gross?
- 31:00Speaker 6: But pers Oh, Per's supposed to be beautiful up.
- 31:04Speaker 1: And coming up there?
- 31:06Speaker 7: It's up and common it.
- 31:08Speaker 6: So are you going to start the your agency now?
- 31:11Speaker 6: Are you waiting till you get to Perth?
- 31:13Speaker 5: I am no.
- 31:15Speaker 9: It's going live on the twentieth of this month. It's
- 31:18Speaker 9: called Solace Socials and it's a hospitality based agency.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Very cool.
- 31:25Speaker 6: So what are we going to as a hospitality Will
- 31:26Speaker 6: you go to like hospitality venues and asked to run
- 31:30Speaker 6: their socials? Is that how it works?
- 31:32Speaker 3: Yeah? Pretty well.
- 31:33Speaker 9: So I live in the Hunter Valley and I pretty
- 31:36Speaker 9: well worked in the lot. So it's the wineries for
- 31:39Speaker 9: a few years and I love wine and food and whatnot,
- 31:42Speaker 9: So I've got a few contacts already, but just need
- 31:45Speaker 9: a branch out.
- 31:46Speaker 6: That's awesome. Actually, I I when I was a carpenter apprentice,
- 31:50Speaker 6: I worked at per Colbyn at A one. Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 6: I was working for a company that built a winery
- 31:57Speaker 6: and I was working winery.
- 31:59Speaker 9: Oh crap, Oh my god, don't come to you with
- 32:01Speaker 9: half a story.
- 32:05Speaker 6: It's it's called Oh it's like just like the whole
- 32:11Speaker 6: winery is made of like really nice hardwood.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Every winery.
- 32:16Speaker 9: Yeah, that's all of them. Oh my god, I live
- 32:20Speaker 9: in per COLBN.
- 32:21Speaker 1: No, I have to know what this is.
- 32:23Speaker 6: I actually could tell you if you give me two seconds.
- 32:24Speaker 6: I have.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I got a question to ask why Jay figures that out?
- 32:28Speaker 1: Is what sort of hurdles have you encountered starting your
- 32:31Speaker 1: or before starting your social media management company?
- 32:36Speaker 9: Probably myself, self criticism and comparing myself to all the
- 32:41Speaker 9: other social media marketing managers in the business, I guess
- 32:44Speaker 9: because it's just one of those careers that everyone is
- 32:49Speaker 9: doing at the moment, but everyone is so different. So
- 32:51Speaker 9: I think you just need to remember that of your
- 32:53Speaker 9: your own person, you have your own taste, and go
- 32:56Speaker 9: along with that.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Definitely, I love that advice is your unique cell is
- 33:00Speaker 1: like what people are going to love about your business.
- 33:03Speaker 1: I think Jake's got it too.
- 33:04Speaker 6: I got it. Okay, it's called broken wood.
- 33:07Speaker 5: No it's not.
- 33:08Speaker 9: I literally lived down the road way.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I worked on that. Let's go.
- 33:14Speaker 9: That would have been a bazillion years ago.
- 33:16Speaker 6: Yeah, no, it was. It was a long long time ago.
- 33:19Speaker 6: I would have been Oh man, I must have been eighteen,
- 33:22Speaker 6: a child, I know, crazy.
- 33:24Speaker 9: And you got from the coast pay yees to Mumbo jumbosh.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, we've yeah ten minutes.
- 33:34Speaker 9: My dad opened that back in the day with his
- 33:38Speaker 9: old shepherd princes show.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Well, so it's in your blood to run a good business.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Yeah, Mumbo's are still going, yeah, yeah, it's it.
- 33:48Speaker 9: No, No, there you go.
- 33:49Speaker 6: What a small world that is.
- 33:51Speaker 1: So thank you very much.
- 33:52Speaker 6: Letters.
- 33:53Speaker 9: Oh my gosh, you're so welcome.
- 33:55Speaker 6: Have a lovely day.
- 33:56Speaker 9: Thank you, have a great day. I'll listen to you
- 33:59Speaker 9: guys soon like you.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Oh wow, that was sick. That was good advice. Oh wow,
- 34:04Speaker 1: small world.
- 34:05Speaker 6: I can't believe that.
- 34:06Speaker 1: She was so cool.
- 34:08Speaker 6: That was a lotus cool name, cool girl. That was sick.
- 34:11Speaker 6: Just do it, just do fuck it, just do it. Literally,
- 34:15Speaker 6: when I was looking for that thing, I didn't hear.
- 34:16Speaker 6: Her answer for the hurdles she run into. It was
- 34:19Speaker 6: it was herself just like self confidence.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and comparison to other companies doing the same thing,
- 34:25Speaker 1: which is so relatable. Comparing yourself to other people in
- 34:28Speaker 1: the industry the.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Hardest thing about You're right, comparing yourself to people in
- 34:31Speaker 6: the industry that have been doing it for so much
- 34:33Speaker 6: longer than you. You're like, wait, I feel behind, but
- 34:36Speaker 6: you've just started. Yeah, yeah, you're obviously going to be
- 34:39Speaker 6: there behind.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I didn't want to like give her advice just then,
- 34:42Speaker 1: but like, thinking about it now, I was like, what
- 34:45Speaker 1: made us good is we sort of had our own
- 34:49Speaker 1: trajectory and we kept being ourselves. We didn't try and
- 34:54Speaker 1: be someone when not or like we took certain parts
- 34:57Speaker 1: of different podcasts, but we kept our core what makes
- 35:01Speaker 1: up Jake and Oddie, which I think is a really
- 35:04Speaker 1: good tip.
- 35:05Speaker 6: It's like, don't try and be another company.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a lot of you see a lot
- 35:08Speaker 1: of fashion companies, like clothing brands is the easiest example,
- 35:12Speaker 1: come out of the woodworks. They've got a good quality product,
- 35:14Speaker 1: but then they try and copy another brand that's being successful.
- 35:18Speaker 1: You're like, man, like I can already buy it if
- 35:19Speaker 1: I want to, Why would I buy it from you? Yeah,
- 35:21Speaker 1: that's an easy example.
- 35:22Speaker 6: It's a good point.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Just be a very good point yourself. And yeah, I
- 35:25Speaker 1: got confidence in Lotus. Yes, so do I. I mean
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm excited to see I like cash.
- 35:30Speaker 6: You go over with the plug. Yeah, hopefully people go
- 35:31Speaker 6: look it up and.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah, imagine imagine someone's like, oh I heard from the
- 35:36Speaker 1: Relatables podcast and they go sick.
- 35:40Speaker 6: I need to piss so bad. Okay, guys, Next up
- 35:44Speaker 6: we have Amelia.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Hello, Hello, is that Amelia?
- 35:49Speaker 9: It is?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Audie and Jake from the Relatables podcast. How
- 35:53Speaker 1: are you going?
- 35:54Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, how are you guys?
- 35:55Speaker 1: We are doing terrific, actually doing very well.
- 35:58Speaker 6: We're very happy you picked up. Yes, no, I'm surprised.
- 36:01Speaker 5: I was like, I didn't even think it was going
- 36:03Speaker 5: to happen. So now I'm very grateful.
- 36:05Speaker 6: Oh that's good.
- 36:07Speaker 1: We're glad. We have a couple of questions, if you
- 36:09Speaker 1: don't mind us asking, go for.
- 36:12Speaker 5: It, guys, and I ext it first the way.
- 36:14Speaker 1: The first one is, if you don't mind us asking,
- 36:16Speaker 1: how old are you?
- 36:18Speaker 5: I'm thirty two, thirty two?
- 36:20Speaker 1: Okay, this could be some good advice. I don't want
- 36:22Speaker 1: to put any I don't want to put any pressure on.
- 36:27Speaker 1: What's some advice you would give your twenty year old
- 36:29Speaker 1: self if you could tap yourself on the shoulder and
- 36:32Speaker 1: be like, hey, listen.
- 36:33Speaker 5: To me, Well, how much time have we got?
- 36:38Speaker 1: We've got all the time? Lot, Yeah, we can go
- 36:41Speaker 1: through it all. You can get more than one. Yeah, Okay.
- 36:44Speaker 5: I love a couple And I think it's like I
- 36:47Speaker 5: constantly reflect on myself and always look at my younger
- 36:50Speaker 5: self and what would I tell myself? But I think
- 36:53Speaker 5: one of the things is I have eighty h d
- 36:56Speaker 5: in autism, and I think at the time I didn't
- 36:59Speaker 5: know when I was younger, But to tell myself, like, hey,
- 37:01Speaker 5: it's a superpower and it can be a strength of
- 37:04Speaker 5: your so just go with it and don't let anyone
- 37:07Speaker 5: kind of kinder in your strength. That would probably be
- 37:10Speaker 5: the first one that you know, which.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I absolutely love that and sort of relate to it
- 37:14Speaker 1: a little bit. I definitely, yeah, but when I struggle
- 37:17Speaker 1: to read as well a lot, and like I sort
- 37:18Speaker 1: of leaned into it because I think in a.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Different way one hundred percent. So everyone's got different levels
- 37:25Speaker 5: of it, but it's like, hey, it's a positive thing.
- 37:27Speaker 5: It's not something to be like negatively. Oh you know,
- 37:31Speaker 5: that's probably the first one. And I was actually watching
- 37:35Speaker 5: this podcast for the day, but I thought it was
- 37:38Speaker 5: really interesting. It's talking about like expiring friendships, and I
- 37:43Speaker 5: think you know when you feel like you've got those
- 37:45Speaker 5: people in your life where you're like, oh, I just
- 37:47Speaker 5: know I need to let.
- 37:47Speaker 7: Go of it.
- 37:48Speaker 5: Just let go, because otherwise you're going to be stuck
- 37:51Speaker 5: in that people pleasing giving person all the time and
- 37:56Speaker 5: not allowing people in your life to give energy back
- 37:59Speaker 5: to you use out, If that makes sense.
- 38:01Speaker 6: I love that one.
- 38:03Speaker 1: That is amazing advice inspiring friendships. I've never thought of
- 38:07Speaker 1: it like that too, neither.
- 38:09Speaker 6: I've always kind of been like, if you struggle to
- 38:11Speaker 6: accept that you are growing apart, like you're growing in
- 38:14Speaker 6: different ways and stuff, and.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Wow, it affects you more than you know when they
- 38:19Speaker 1: start they start.
- 38:20Speaker 8: To take it.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Yeah, and you can apply it to like work, relationships, family,
- 38:25Speaker 5: everything too. But I was like, wow, that's so interesting
- 38:28Speaker 5: because I'm very like, you've got to let people go.
- 38:30Speaker 5: They're not for you, they're not for you. But the times,
- 38:33Speaker 5: the times up.
- 38:35Speaker 6: Wow, that's a great one. Thank you so much. Have
- 38:37Speaker 6: you got any more?
- 38:39Speaker 5: But I can think of I think maybe just probably
- 38:42Speaker 5: one other thing is like just remember to be still
- 38:46Speaker 5: and be present because we're so used to like being
- 38:50Speaker 5: on the go and moving and trying to get to
- 38:53Speaker 5: the next steps that we forget to smell the flowers
- 38:55Speaker 5: or in the sunshine, or just like you miss a
- 38:59Speaker 5: lot of really important things if you don't just sit
- 39:02Speaker 5: still and just take a breath, like why, it's still
- 39:05Speaker 5: going to be there, but there's no rush to get
- 39:06Speaker 5: to the next thing. You know.
- 39:08Speaker 6: Wait, that's a good point. That is, Oh yeah, life
- 39:11Speaker 6: is going to be actual, life is going to be there.
- 39:14Speaker 6: That's such a good point.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of people want need to hear that, Hey,
- 39:16Speaker 1: we get so caught up in the hustle and bustle
- 39:18Speaker 1: when you're just like the next thing, the next thing,
- 39:20Speaker 1: the next thing, when yeah, you just need to sit
- 39:22Speaker 1: down and have your lunch, eat your food and just
- 39:24Speaker 1: smell the roses.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Like you said, yeah, pretty much.
- 39:27Speaker 5: But that's kind of things that I would tell myself.
- 39:33Speaker 6: When now that you are thirty two, sorry I have
- 39:37Speaker 6: your age next to me. Now that you are thirty,
- 39:42Speaker 6: do you live by, like did it take you a
- 39:44Speaker 6: while to figure out those things? Like is it a
- 39:47Speaker 6: recent or was it more maybe like mid twenties, you
- 39:49Speaker 6: figured it out and you wish you could give your
- 39:51Speaker 6: younger self that advice.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Or I think it was probably I don't know something
- 39:55Speaker 5: that the number twenty seven in my life was like
- 39:57Speaker 5: a big turning point for me. I think I just
- 39:59Speaker 5: got speak of being stuck and I was like, what
- 40:02Speaker 5: can I do to change and break all these patterns
- 40:04Speaker 5: and get out of the life that I was living.
- 40:06Speaker 5: And it's just like I want to go there that
- 40:08Speaker 5: I need to work on myself. And I think it
- 40:11Speaker 5: was just like you know, you start as a woman,
- 40:13Speaker 5: you start to be like, oh, I've got to get married,
- 40:15Speaker 5: have kids, and I'm not big at either, but you
- 40:18Speaker 5: start thinking about all those things and you're like, where
- 40:21Speaker 5: can I start. So it's just like taking that moment
- 40:24Speaker 5: to understand yourself a bit more connect with yourself and
- 40:26Speaker 5: just making sure that everything you're doing now is in
- 40:29Speaker 5: alignment with the person that you're becoming and your values
- 40:31Speaker 5: and things like that.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Oh god, this is great, Well that's great. It kind
- 40:35Speaker 1: of makes me look forward to like how much will
- 40:38Speaker 1: grow when we get older.
- 40:39Speaker 6: I know, yeah, I feel like, yeah, I can't then
- 40:42Speaker 6: when I was twenty, I can't see myself being twenty five,
- 40:44Speaker 6: And then when you're twenty five, obviously it's like you think, oh,
- 40:46Speaker 6: what am I going to be like when I'm thirty?
- 40:47Speaker 6: And I'm thinking, am I going to be different?
- 40:49Speaker 1: But I bet I will.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Yeah, you're start starving when you're thirty. You really do
- 40:54Speaker 5: like life is just like your twenties are for learning
- 40:57Speaker 5: and lessons and making mistakes. And you said you are
- 40:59Speaker 5: just having.
- 41:00Speaker 6: Oh well, I'm glad you're having fun.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah that was being some great advice.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Yeah, well, thank you for calling and then asking me
- 41:08Speaker 5: those questions.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I loved it, Thank you very much.
- 41:10Speaker 9: Anything else?
- 41:12Speaker 1: What else do we want to know? Maybe?
- 41:14Speaker 6: Like, what do I want to know about being thirty?
- 41:24Speaker 6: What does it feel like when you go from twenty
- 41:25Speaker 6: nine to thirty? Any different?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll leave it on that.
- 41:28Speaker 5: I think it's just more like a society thing. It's
- 41:31Speaker 5: like a big thing. But I think it's just like
- 41:33Speaker 5: exciting because you're letting go of everything that no longer
- 41:36Speaker 5: serves you and just ready to like take that next step.
- 41:39Speaker 5: And I think it's just more sure of yourself as
- 41:41Speaker 5: a person, so every decision moving for you're like, yeah,
- 41:44Speaker 5: it's for.
- 41:44Speaker 6: Me, damn you are if you are way wiser than that.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I don't like to don't. I don't like to pick favorites.
- 41:52Speaker 6: But we even called my dad on this, and.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I like your advice. Thanks very much for coming on.
- 42:07Speaker 5: You're welcome, guys, thanks for calling.
- 42:08Speaker 6: Have a great day.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Amelia is a legend. Wow, she was wise.
- 42:16Speaker 6: Yeah, thirty two gets your hate.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I'll tell you what that kind of felt like. It
- 42:20Speaker 1: kind of felt like, let's give like a Star Wars analogy. Right,
- 42:24Speaker 1: She's like Yoda and we're like Luke Skywalker. And what's
- 42:28Speaker 1: another Obie? Is that one? No's he's older but you
- 42:32Speaker 1: see him young? Yeah yeah, yeah Obi one Kenobian. She's
- 42:35Speaker 1: just like, come in with all the superpowers that she's learnt,
- 42:38Speaker 1: and we just like, wow, yeah, we're we need more.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I don't know what this called. The end. That was great.
- 42:47Speaker 1: I find it's really good.
- 42:48Speaker 6: I do find like the ADHD and stuff interesting because
- 42:54Speaker 6: it almost I feel like it still does kind of
- 42:56Speaker 6: have I don't want to say negative stick around it,
- 43:00Speaker 6: but people will still like I feel as though, maybe
- 43:05Speaker 6: apologize for their ADHD. You know, like they'll do a
- 43:09Speaker 6: bunch of stuff and then someone will be like, oh,
- 43:11Speaker 6: well well and they'll be like, oh sorry my ADHD.
- 43:12Speaker 6: It's like I feel like I feel bad they feel
- 43:14Speaker 6: they need to apologize for it. I think that's yeah,
- 43:17Speaker 6: think of it more of like a superher and like
- 43:19Speaker 6: fucking keep up.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly how I keep up. Yeah, I
- 43:23Speaker 1: really like that. I wish I asked if she got
- 43:25Speaker 1: diagnosed too, Yeah, because I feel like that's a bit
- 43:30Speaker 1: of a hard like heard or you come across, come across.
- 43:32Speaker 1: It's like, am I actually like do I actually have ADHD?
- 43:35Speaker 6: Do I actually have this lexia?
- 43:36Speaker 1: Or am I just being like you feel like you
- 43:38Speaker 1: don't owe yourself the question of getting diagnosed.
- 43:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I assume, like I think maybe because she said
- 43:43Speaker 6: ADHD autism, maybe she has been diagnosed. But yeah, superpower
- 43:48Speaker 6: that shit up.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Like everyone's like different and have superpowers in different ways.
- 43:53Speaker 1: It's just like figuring out how to use what you've
- 43:55Speaker 1: been given, the cards you've been dealt, which aren't always even,
- 43:57Speaker 1: but you just figure out how to use them.
- 43:59Speaker 6: Yeah, it's really hard to accept when someone you haven't
- 44:02Speaker 6: been dealt like the same cards as someone else.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, so I know one of our friends. He
- 44:06Speaker 1: has a learning disability. He's diagnosed too, And my god,
- 44:10Speaker 1: is he like one of the best like fall drive
- 44:12Speaker 1: car drivers I've ever made.
- 44:14Speaker 6: The thing he loves, yes, yeah, the thing that he
- 44:16Speaker 6: loves he's really good at.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's really like dove into that because it's
- 44:19Speaker 1: a skill that uses his cognitive skills and made him
- 44:22Speaker 1: doing anything.
- 44:23Speaker 6: Like that, trusting with my life. Oh one hundred cents. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:26Speaker 6: yea yeah, yeah, wow, yeah, I never thought of that.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Wow. Do you have one more or not?
- 44:30Speaker 6: All right? No, we got last one? Is Brook? Hello
- 44:33Speaker 6: Brook speaking Hello Brook. This is Jake and Oddy from
- 44:35Speaker 6: the Relatables.
- 44:36Speaker 1: How are you good?
- 44:37Speaker 6: How are you doing really well?
- 44:40Speaker 1: Were?
- 44:40Speaker 6: I got a couple of questions for you? If that's
- 44:42Speaker 6: all right? Yeah?
- 44:44Speaker 2: Sure?
- 44:45Speaker 1: Is it okay? If I ask how old you are?
- 44:47Speaker 7: I'm twenty five?
- 44:48Speaker 6: Twenty five okay, Brook. We would like to know what
- 44:53Speaker 6: is the what a bit of advice that you would
- 44:56Speaker 6: give to your twenty year old self or your your
- 44:59Speaker 6: youngest self.
- 45:02Speaker 7: I think the main thing would be just to hang
- 45:06Speaker 7: in there and everything's gonna be okay. Like I got
- 45:10Speaker 7: a lot of that advice when I was younger and
- 45:14Speaker 7: I didn't believe it, and now I'm sitting here and I'm.
- 45:19Speaker 9: Truth.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good to hear everything is always going to
- 45:23Speaker 1: be all right. It's hard to hear at the time
- 45:24Speaker 1: when you're going through something that.
- 45:26Speaker 6: Like I've definitely heard that advice. When I was like
- 45:29Speaker 6: going through something, I remember just being like, yeah, but
- 45:31Speaker 6: that's it's like, that's the worst bit of advice give
- 45:33Speaker 6: someone going through something. But then when you get through
- 45:35Speaker 6: it and you're like, oh, yeah, it was sweet, you're
- 45:37Speaker 6: kind of like it's actually the best bit of advice.
- 45:39Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly. You think it's ship and that nobody understands,
- 45:43Speaker 7: but then looking back, it's like, well I was I
- 45:46Speaker 7: was wrong.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's good that you can admit when you're wrong. Dude.
- 45:50Speaker 6: Yeah, very true, very true. Well, thank you so much, Brooke,
- 45:53Speaker 6: Thank you and have a lovely afternoon you too, see us.
- 46:00Speaker 7: Good.
- 46:00Speaker 1: That is good.
- 46:00Speaker 6: Good way to end it. I reckon, theyre no, that's
- 46:02Speaker 6: a good bit of advice.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Man. This episode was like cool to hear everyone's different
- 46:07Speaker 1: perspectives and journeys they've gone on through life, all about it.
- 46:10Speaker 6: Have good advice.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't get over Amelia. How good.
- 46:13Speaker 6: I wait, no, Amelia and Lotusue was good to Lotus
- 46:18Speaker 6: was good too. I mean, I'll give props to Dad.
- 46:21Speaker 6: I appreciate I.
- 46:21Speaker 1: They're all good, They're all, they are all very I
- 46:23Speaker 1: don't want a single one out. I mean, hey, Amelia,
- 46:26Speaker 1: it was really I guess, like what you can take
- 46:30Speaker 1: away is I think that last one was a really
- 46:33Speaker 1: good way to end it, because she's just like there
- 46:36Speaker 1: is light at the end of the tunnel when you
- 46:37Speaker 1: are going through something bad and you never want to
- 46:40Speaker 1: hear it, but you can get through anything. And life
- 46:44Speaker 1: is a journey, a unique journey that no one else
- 46:46Speaker 1: is going on and no one else is going to
- 46:48Speaker 1: go through the same one you do. And the more
- 46:51Speaker 1: you can be in the present moment and sit back
- 46:53Speaker 1: and relax and realize that everything isn't as fast paced
- 46:58Speaker 1: and as serious as you make it. Life is there
- 47:00Speaker 1: to be enjoyed. Do certain like sense. Yeah it's easy
- 47:04Speaker 1: to say that then actually do it, but yeah, you
- 47:06Speaker 1: start to realize it was good to see the different
- 47:08Speaker 1: like mindsets of someone from twenty all the way to
- 47:09Speaker 1: your dad's fifty five. Yeah, and like thirty seems like
- 47:12Speaker 1: quite a sweet spot if you ask me to be fair, Yeah,
- 47:14Speaker 1: it seems like a good age.
- 47:16Speaker 6: I'm fucking keen, mate, I'm very keen, but now you're right.
- 47:20Speaker 6: It's I've been. I just lately, I've been trying to
- 47:26Speaker 6: appreciate a lot more what was lowered down a lot more.
- 47:31Speaker 6: Like the last couple of nights, I've had the time
- 47:33Speaker 6: to watch like three episodes of the Netflix thing. I'm
- 47:37Speaker 6: watching and letting myself do it like six pm right,
- 47:42Speaker 6: like start watching it, and I'm usually like I look
- 47:45Speaker 6: at like six pm, like six pm scenes like early
- 47:47Speaker 6: to start. I could edit a bit to start, yeah,
- 47:49Speaker 6: do something binging a shot, Yeah. And I'm like, everything
- 47:53Speaker 6: I wrote down that I wanted to get done today
- 47:54Speaker 6: I did. So It's like, why would I add more
- 47:56Speaker 6: to it when I can just do that tomorrow. Doesn't
- 47:58Speaker 6: have to be done today. It can be done tomorrow
- 48:00Speaker 6: exactly like enjoy the show for a couple of hours.
- 48:03Speaker 6: It is enjoy it, stop and smell the roses. That's
- 48:07Speaker 6: the That's one mass. I think one massive thing is
- 48:09Speaker 6: don't let all the fucking like societal norms of people
- 48:12Speaker 6: being like you could be reach in a month if
- 48:16Speaker 6: you tried like all that stupid, annoying shit.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I feel like another piece of really good advice is
- 48:21Speaker 1: like money isn't everything. Yeah, true, Like growing up, especially
- 48:26Speaker 1: when we're younger, we think like, once I have the job,
- 48:28Speaker 1: once I start earning a good income, once I start
- 48:31Speaker 1: making good money, I'll be happy. Then once I have
- 48:33Speaker 1: a house, I'll be happy then. But it's like taking
- 48:36Speaker 1: a step back and making a journey that is happy
- 48:38Speaker 1: the whole time. True.
- 48:39Speaker 6: Yeah, Like I'm I feel very lucky. I'm trying to think,
- 48:43Speaker 6: like what would let's say, like a million dollars in
- 48:47Speaker 6: my bank account, Like what would that do for me
- 48:49Speaker 6: right now? Because I don't think I'd changed my lifestyle.
- 48:52Speaker 1: No, we're in a lucky position. I probably wouldn't budget
- 48:54Speaker 1: with groceries, yeah, little stuff. I'd always put ninety eight
- 48:58Speaker 1: in my car, probably get a new car. Let's be real.
- 49:02Speaker 6: But it's like all those things aren't gonna make you happy. Like,
- 49:04Speaker 6: if you think about it, you buy a new car,
- 49:06Speaker 6: right when you go pick it up, you're like, this
- 49:07Speaker 6: is fucking sick. You drive it home, you get out,
- 49:09Speaker 6: and you just go back in the same house you
- 49:10Speaker 6: fucking left. Yeah, and you go back and sleep in
- 49:13Speaker 6: the same bed, and it's like you're not changed as
- 49:15Speaker 6: a person. You just never have a car that you
- 49:17Speaker 6: drive for me to be that's different and it's nice,
- 49:20Speaker 6: Like it's kind of like those are kind of like
- 49:22Speaker 6: the fruits of it. I guess. Just enjoy the Yeah,
- 49:25Speaker 6: don't make them think that you're gonna it's not gonna
- 49:27Speaker 6: make you happy.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Yeah. And I also think like when you're stopping and
- 49:32Speaker 1: smelling the roses, Like, although that piece of advice where
- 49:37Speaker 1: friends are expiring, that was really good too, But I
- 49:40Speaker 1: was thinking about like everyone has like one or two
- 49:44Speaker 1: people in their life that really really matter, parents, girlfriends, boyfriends, dogs,
- 49:50Speaker 1: and like really enjoying these experiences with them, I think
- 49:54Speaker 1: is good advice. And I'm trying to get better at
- 49:56Speaker 1: that where like taking a step back and just going
- 49:59Speaker 1: for a walk with them, Yeah, and like enjoying the
- 50:01Speaker 1: hour long conversation with the person that.
- 50:03Speaker 6: I love, Yeah, trying to switch off from fun.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I love this person I'm with right now
- 50:08Speaker 1: in whichever context it is, and like just switching off
- 50:11Speaker 1: and being like, fuck, is this good to be here
- 50:12Speaker 1: with you? Just talk like appreciate that. Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 6: When I go to Queensland in the next in two weeks.
- 50:18Speaker 6: I really want to try and just like all because
- 50:22Speaker 6: you're going to BALI like pre recording, I want to
- 50:25Speaker 6: try and get I don't know if I'll get all
- 50:28Speaker 6: the work done. Then I need to get done for
- 50:29Speaker 6: the whole like ten days you're gone, but for like
- 50:31Speaker 6: the four days I'm in Queensland, I want to make
- 50:33Speaker 6: it so I'm not doing any work and just really
- 50:36Speaker 6: like be with it. Yeah, because like Beth has the
- 50:38Speaker 6: time off work, my parents they don't work, and then yeah,
- 50:43Speaker 6: I think it'll just be it'd be nice not to
- 50:44Speaker 6: be like, oh, so it's been like three hours in
- 50:46Speaker 6: the morning doing this.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly. And we're lucky enough to be in
- 50:49Speaker 1: a position where we can make that work. Yeah. Yeah,
- 50:55Speaker 1: it's been a long day to recording, not making excuses
- 50:59Speaker 1: a second episode, but thank you. What I wanted to
- 51:02Speaker 1: say was, if you like this episode, please leave a comment,
- 51:06Speaker 1: because we can do more. It is a lot more
- 51:10Speaker 1: work on the back end organizing all the baddies. But
- 51:13Speaker 1: if you guys like it, please leave a comment where
- 51:15Speaker 1: you like which piece of advice or anything like that,
- 51:16Speaker 1: and they'll be a good indication If you want to
- 51:18Speaker 1: see more of this, Yeah, because I think that was
- 51:20Speaker 1: a really good, insightful episode, and I really like hearing
- 51:25Speaker 1: other people's advice. I love talking to you, man, but
- 51:27Speaker 1: like also getting other people's perspective. At the end of
- 51:30Speaker 1: the day, we're only two brains. The more brains we
- 51:32Speaker 1: can add together, the more advice and a better sense
- 51:34Speaker 1: of belonging you can get here. Because I feel like
- 51:36Speaker 1: that episode was so relatable.
- 51:37Speaker 6: Let's be honest with kind of just one brain.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, one point, Like, let's give us like one
- 51:43Speaker 1: point three. Yeah, you think of a number between one
- 51:48Speaker 1: and ten. Okay, ready, three to one, seven? Maybe one
- 51:52Speaker 1: point back to one?
- 51:52Speaker 6: Right, Stay bad everyone.
