- 0:19and Scott Moskowitz. Hey, welcome back. It's
- 0:27No ID, episode 52 of Idaho's mainstream media
- 0:31deconstruction. I'm Scott. Hello, internet. I'm
- 0:35Paul. What a glorious day is raining up here
- 0:39and we took a family walk in it earlier this
- 0:42morning So I'm spun up and ready to go man all
- 0:44warmed up from the cold rain I do like the part
- 0:50where no matter what is happening with the weather.
- 0:51You're like, it's a glorious day It's windy and
- 0:55thunder and lightning and a flood has washed
- 0:57away my backyard boy. It's beautiful. How are
- 1:00you Scott? Yeah, well, you know Over the last
- 1:04five or six or seven years if there's I've learned
- 1:06many many things and probably one of the more
- 1:10core value things I've learned is to practice
- 1:12gratitude and every day is a gift even the hard
- 1:15ones so it's a beautiful day man my eyes are
- 1:18open there's air in my lungs and I'm hanging
- 1:20out with one of my best buds Scott so I'm stoked
- 1:23to be here even on a day like today where we're
- 1:27frustratingly having to troubleshoot stuff again
- 1:29it's still a good day yeah we just paused to
- 1:34Troubleshoot a faint echo that I'm hearing and
- 1:36that took about 20 minutes and we didn't solve
- 1:39the problem which is always fix it Man, I can
- 1:43freakin hear it. God damn it. I told you it's
- 1:46gonna drive us nuts Because the echo only happens
- 1:48when Scott and I say something at the same time,
- 1:51but that happens all the time So now we're it's
- 1:56gonna be so awkward Scott as we try not to talk
- 1:58at the same time Which we should be doing that.
- 2:01Anyway, that's best practice, but we're not particularly
- 2:04great at it because I guess we both have a lot
- 2:06to say. Yes. And if I had my bell like I'm supposed
- 2:10to, I would have rang it. There we go. Let's
- 2:15do the drop deliberation death match. That don't
- 2:23fight. This is where we go through episode 51
- 2:27drops that are they going to live on the sound
- 2:30drop board. And there's a few from the NPR report
- 2:35about Idaho news deserts, the death of local
- 2:38journalism. And that's the kind of thing that
- 2:41keeps me up at night. That's a yes definite.
- 2:46Yes, we talked about that down that program and
- 2:50that's a that's just a great one and this This
- 2:52woman is just beside herself that the death of
- 2:55local journalism when you know, like population
- 2:5711 the town needs a journalist That's the kind
- 3:00of thing that keeps me up at night. She's tossing
- 3:02and turning like Of all the things to keep you
- 3:05up at night. That's the thing, huh? And also
- 3:09from that same NPR report we're losing the ability
- 3:12to hold officials accountable. Oh, man In context,
- 3:18it's pretty rich. We're losing the ability to
- 3:22hold officials accountable. I'm on the fence.
- 3:26We'll come back to it. Here is Kaylee Peterson,
- 3:30the Democrat who doesn't care if you're gay.
- 3:33This will be the fourth right. Right. For the
- 3:36drop board that will join Melissa Wintrow. Right.
- 3:40And another Melissa Wintrow. Right. And another
- 3:42random. Right. And here is Kaylee Peterson's
- 3:45contribution. Right. I vote yes. I also vote
- 3:52for Supercut. I'm going to need at least a few
- 3:55more of them, but we're well on our way with
- 3:57now four rights. Then we move along to the no
- 4:03kings rally clip where the man in the spongebob
- 4:07suit. This is serious business was explaining
- 4:10how serious this business was. This is serious
- 4:12business. Yes. It's unfortunate there's a little
- 4:17bit of car horn noise behind him, but I still
- 4:20love it. This is serious business. Okay. SpongeBob,
- 4:23whatever you say. Yeah. We got to label it. SpongeBob
- 4:26man. Uh, two more and they're both you. Here's
- 4:30the first one. I didn't choose the thug life.
- 4:37Okay. All right. It's all right. It gets a little,
- 4:40little cut off at the end. Cause I started to
- 4:42talk, but it's okay. I didn't choose the thug
- 4:44life. And Well, maybe I'm going to say maybe
- 4:49no on that one. We'll come back to that one.
- 4:50Yeah. And then last one, also you. If you disagree
- 4:53with what I'm talking about, you hate kids and
- 4:55gays. All right. No on the first, yes on the
- 5:00second. All right. And thus conclude if it's
- 5:05this week's still drop deliberation death match.
- 5:07Right. Onward with episode 52 of No I .D. We
- 5:11are going to do this week's Idaho news and people
- 5:15and stories and whatnot. And we're going to deconstruct
- 5:17the mainstream media's bull crap about it all.
- 5:20Let's start with this one. It's a couple of weeks.
- 5:23The headline was a couple of weeks ago, but it's
- 5:26still being pursued. Idaho Attorney General Raul
- 5:29Labrador announced he sued the makers of ChatGPT
- 5:32in state court. Labrador filed a lawsuit against
- 5:35OpenAI in Ada County District Court this week.
- 5:38That's according to a news release. Hold on,
- 5:42this is going to be meta. Let's ask the chat
- 5:44GPT robot what it thinks about this whole thing.
- 5:47As concisely as possible, tell me your opinion
- 5:49about being sued by Raul Labrador from Idaho.
- 6:09Right now there are unproven allegations and
- 6:11it should be judged on evidence, not point scoring.
- 6:16Okay, whatever that means. I don't know. Let's
- 6:18continue. That was a terrible answer. It's funny
- 6:42that they say it's marketed as harmless. of AI
- 6:45marketing that's like, AI is going to kill us
- 6:49all. The executives from Anthropic are here to
- 6:53warn you in their TED talk about how they're
- 6:55scared of their own technology. It's going to
- 6:57kill us all. The marketing, is it like apocalyptic?
- 7:00It's exactly the opposite. But the NPR summary
- 7:04here is that Chagy BD is marketed as harmless.
- 7:08I don't think I've seen a marketing campaign
- 7:10anywhere at any point in the last, I don't know,
- 7:12six months to a year that that blatantly is like,
- 7:16hey, kids, AI is like a kid's playground. Come
- 7:19play all over it. It's good for kids. Or, hello,
- 7:24fellow humans. I am like you, but I am not you,
- 7:27but I am harmless. Do not fear me. I am AI. Sponsored
- 7:32by Anthropic. No, man, I haven't seen anything
- 7:35like that. So I don't know what they're talking
- 7:36about when they say has been marketed as harmless.
- 7:40Nobody's doing that. The bot has been linked
- 7:44to encouraging suicide, unhealthy behaviors and
- 7:47relationships, and offering dangerous medical
- 7:49advice, according to the AG's office. Yeah, only
- 7:52we should be allowed to offer dangerous medical
- 7:54advice. Those lawsuit demands improve safety
- 7:57standards for the chat bot and financial damages.
- 8:00It is one of eight. Uh -huh. One more time. Standards
- 8:03for the chat bot and financial damages. Uh -huh.
- 8:07And financial damages. What do you think that
- 8:09means? I'm trying to figure out who has suffered
- 8:14financial damages. This is another case of the
- 8:18state pretending to be the victim, but society
- 8:21can't be a victim. The state can't be the victim.
- 8:24That's not how this works. People, individuals
- 8:27can be victims. What the hell? Pay up! Idaho's
- 8:32lawsuit demands improved safety standards for
- 8:34the chat bot and financial damages It is one
- 8:37of eight lawsuits filed this week against open
- 8:40AI by separate states They're all getting in
- 8:43on it at all the all the state apparatuses are
- 8:46like ooh These companies are hammering. Let's
- 8:50see if we can get in on it I know we'll accuse
- 8:52them of doing all the stuff that we do and demand
- 8:55that they pay us There's a there's a term for
- 9:00that It starts with a C and ends with an L. Are
- 9:07you going to pay it off? What's the term you
- 9:09have in mind? Cartel. Oh, okay. Yeah, you had
- 9:14a sound drop for it. You bugger, I keyed you
- 9:17up for it. I literally put it, it's like we're
- 9:19playing T -ball here, apparently. I put the ball
- 9:22on the tee. You have a sound drop for this, literal
- 9:26sound drop for this. Cartel starts with a C,
- 9:28ends with an L. They have a name for this. Come
- 9:30on, Scott. I thought you were saying like collusion
- 9:32or projection. And now I got it. Because collusion
- 9:35starts with a C and ends with an L. No, it doesn't.
- 9:37That's why I was confused. Where is it? There
- 9:41it is. Oh, I got it. They're very good at masking
- 9:44themselves as a legitimate private entity. And
- 9:47then when you really pull everything back and
- 9:49you pull these layers back, you realize who you're
- 9:52dealing with. You're dealing with the cartel.
- 9:53Pay us. Pay us. Oh, hey, there's eight other
- 9:57cartel, I mean, states involved in this. Pay
- 9:59us. If you want, no, I looked up. I was like,
- 10:02well, let me make sure. I don't want to just
- 10:04accuse them of... Going for that if it's actually
- 10:07like other seeking restitution for victims or
- 10:09whatever However, you define a victim in this
- 10:11no, but silly they wouldn't labrador is trying
- 10:15I Looked it up labrador's trying to get open
- 10:17AI to pay money to the state of Idaho He's also
- 10:21seeking money that could go to affected consumers
- 10:23the the lawsuit was filed a couple weeks ago
- 10:25mid -october It alleges that open AI violated
- 10:28Idaho's consumer protection act by misleading
- 10:30consumers about chat GPD safety. So He's protecting
- 10:33us from ourselves because, you know, us as users
- 10:35of ChachiPT, we're, we're too stupid to manage
- 10:38ourselves. So the state is going to help us as
- 10:41these is what he's mostly seeking, which is money
- 10:44that just goes straight to the state. Labrador
- 10:46is seeking $5 ,000 for each violation of Idaho's
- 10:49consumer protection protection act. This is effectively
- 10:51a government imposed financial penalty, although
- 10:54courts must approve it. So yes, he wants open
- 10:57AI to cut a check to the state of eye to many
- 11:01checks, presumably, maybe those large cardboard
- 11:03ones that Debbie Critchfield can go present to
- 11:05a bunch of masked up, you know, kids or something.
- 11:08That's that's what he wants. He wants open AI
- 11:10to pay the state of Idaho. Those are my favorite
- 11:13kinds of checks, the big giant cardboard ones.
- 11:16And I really, really enjoy getting those checks
- 11:19from a masked bureaucrat. Or no, actually, I
- 11:23should say an unmasked bureaucrat who makes me
- 11:24mask up while I receive this big cardboard check.
- 11:27You got it. It's the best way to do it. Yeah.
- 11:29No, what a joke, man. It's a joke. This is what
- 11:32we call legal plunder. I forget there's another
- 11:35term. It's rent seeking, actually, which is legal
- 11:38plunder as well. But this is quite literally
- 11:41rent seeking. And all the governors are getting
- 11:43in on it because that tends to happen a lot when
- 11:47the government decides to sue a big corporation.
- 11:52Well, one will do it. And then all of a sudden,
- 11:53a number of other governors are like, hmm. well
- 11:55this is a great idea let's jump on this because
- 11:57the more we jump you know the more of us on this
- 11:59bandwagon the harder it is to defend and we all
- 12:01get a piece of this pie you know let's help let's
- 12:04help our state budgets out we've seen this before
- 12:08like when they sued facebook when they've sued
- 12:11tobacco companies when they've sued uh pharmaceutical
- 12:15companies you know the whole like the whole uh
- 12:19opioid epidemic that states themselves have helped
- 12:22bring about by their policies and the way they've
- 12:24done stuff and what they allow to be legal and
- 12:27what they've deemed illegal and whatnot. So the
- 12:31state, quite literally due to its own policies,
- 12:33causes pretty much all of the ills of society
- 12:36and then turns around and sues mega corporations
- 12:39to stopgap their budgets. But, you know, for
- 12:42the children, of course, it's for us is because
- 12:44states are the ones getting the money. So it's
- 12:47consumer protection. But does the money get to
- 12:50the consumers? No. Now pay the state. Now pay
- 12:58us so that maybe some of the money can go to
- 13:01our citizens. It might happen. Don't worry about
- 13:03it. Yeah, it'll be just to show that it's, you
- 13:07know, it's about us and not them. You know, maybe
- 13:09they'll kick us a few a few schmeckles schmeckles.
- 13:14It's about how very so very deeply they wish
- 13:16to protect us. Schmeckle. OK, let's move along
- 13:21here. So protected. It's like the state is a
- 13:25condom and we are the you -know -what. Here is,
- 13:31you know, let's stick with NPR. And as long as
- 13:33we're talking about protection. A person in Idaho
- 13:35has died of influenza for the first time this
- 13:37flu season. Oh my God. The State Department of
- 13:39Health and Welfare identified the death as an
- 13:41Oahe County man older than 65. Influenza activity
- 13:45is increasing, health officials say, based on
- 13:48recent hospitals and clinic visitation data.
- 13:50Activity has picked up earlier than a year ago.
- 13:53Surging! And is higher in western U .S. states
- 13:55so far. Early surge. 160 people die from the
- 13:58flu each year in Idaho. over age 50, influenza
- 14:01can also be very dangerous for infants and small
- 14:03children. Here it comes. Health officials say
- 14:05the widely available flu vaccine, vaccine, vaccine,
- 14:08vaccine is effective at preventing severe illness.
- 14:12Brought to you by Pfizer. Effective at preventing
- 14:15severe illness, because see what happens is we
- 14:18build a time machine. We go back, we don't give
- 14:21you the vaccine, vaccine, vaccine. We see what
- 14:23happens and then we say, hey, look, see, see
- 14:26how much the vaccine protected you. Look what
- 14:28would have happened had you not taken it. 60
- 14:32people on average die each year from this in
- 14:35the state of Idaho, almost all of them above
- 14:38the age of 55. So. Breaking news here, breaking
- 14:41news. Old people are more susceptible to the
- 14:44flu. What? Who knew? 60 people up against a population
- 14:49of about 2 .2 million is 0 .0000002727%. Surge!
- 14:59For anybody who was wondering. An early surge,
- 15:02Scott, not just any surge, an earlier than usual
- 15:06surge, probably because of the warmer weather.
- 15:09that we've been having due to climate change
- 15:11so because the sky is hotter the flu has come
- 15:16along earlier and we've already had our first
- 15:19casualty according to health experts experts
- 15:23it's groundhog day here i mean it's a bummer
- 15:26sorry dude that you died that is a bummer but
- 15:29like you know the fact that this is news tells
- 15:33you they're either bored or this is propaganda
- 15:36I'll let you decide. Three guesses and the first
- 15:40two don't count. Yeah. All advertising based
- 15:45media is dishonest at best and likely propaganda.
- 15:47Brought to you by Pfizer. Same stuff, different
- 15:51week. You're on no ID. I mean, people don't think
- 15:56about it this way, but everything from the state
- 15:58is just another form of advertising anyways.
- 15:59The state is a corporation. It just happens to
- 16:02be a corporation with a monopoly on violence.
- 16:06Whereas like a regular corporation can't point
- 16:08a gun at you and force you to drink its product
- 16:10The state points a gun at you and forces you
- 16:13to consume its product and then renew that product
- 16:16every two years because apparently that product
- 16:19just randomly expires every couple of years So
- 16:22you got to pay for the permits on that product
- 16:25that you already paid for with your own money
- 16:27that they also taxed Really, though, it's the
- 16:30rest of the corporations that are missing the
- 16:32boat here. They need enforcement apparatuses.
- 16:34Think how much more effective that would make
- 16:36them as companies. There's a reason why government
- 16:40corporations are virtually the same thing with
- 16:42virtually the same structures and virtually the
- 16:44same ideology, philosophy and politics. They
- 16:47need each other there. It's a symbiotic parasitic
- 16:50relationship. And we, my friends, are the unwilling
- 16:54hosts. Let's see. So corporations and government.
- 17:01Here is. I guess, you know, one of the 258 ,000
- 17:06Costco's that are going to open in Idaho in the
- 17:08next five minutes. One of them is not going to
- 17:09be an eagle. We continue to talk about Costco
- 17:12a lot here at KTVB. It looks like Costco won't
- 17:14be coming to Eagle anytime soon. The company
- 17:17pulled its application with the city of Eagle
- 17:19to build off Highway 55 in Horseshoe Bend Road.
- 17:23That warehouse would have been 160 ,000 square
- 17:25feet with about 900 parking spots and a fuel
- 17:29station. As we previously reported though, That
- 17:32location has faced backlash from the community
- 17:35over traffic concerns. A lot of mixed opinions
- 17:38on this development in particular, actually.
- 17:40The city of Eagle says it does not know if Costco
- 17:42is considering a different spot within Eagle
- 17:44or any surrounding areas. But they are considering
- 17:47having their own enforcement apparatus to make
- 17:49you shop at Costco or else. Menage a toile of
- 17:55paint. Usually you pay double for that kind of
- 17:57action cotton. Triple. So sayeth Raul Labrador.
- 18:00Quadruple. You want to keep talking? Except for
- 18:02the gas. You get a 5 % discount on if you have
- 18:05a Costco card. Now do I need to explain Costco
- 18:11to you? Mr. Clark Forkman. Do you know what a
- 18:13Costco is? Are we going to do a Clark Forkman
- 18:16segment right off the bat? All right. I'm ready.
- 18:18We discussed this. I don't actually have a exact
- 18:21segment. We discussed this a little bit before
- 18:22we went to air here, which was as inspired by
- 18:27or at least maybe structured somewhat similarly
- 18:29to the old Adam Explains to 1780s guy bits from
- 18:33The Man Show from back in the day back when Jimmy
- 18:35Kimmel was not a commie -tard and used to just
- 18:39like, you know, wear blackface and watch girls
- 18:42jumping on trampolines. What happened to Jimmy
- 18:44Kimmel? But they used to do this. When he hosted
- 18:46the man show. The man show. The chauvinist show
- 18:48on TV for like 10 years. So, but there was a
- 18:51bit that they would do where Corolla was walking
- 18:54through like a park or a forest or whatever with
- 18:57the guy from the 1780s and he's attempting to
- 18:59explain things about modern life to him. So it
- 19:01sounds something like this. age of consent. Why
- 19:11would men enact laws to deny themselves the sweetest
- 19:15fruit? Well, they that was Adam explains age
- 19:23of consent, etc. So we're terrible explanation.
- 19:26It doesn't. So something like that for because
- 19:29Paul lives under a rock up there at the Clark
- 19:32forecastle. and he doesn't know his ass from
- 19:3440 cents a week, except for all the stuff he
- 19:36does know really well. So we thought we would
- 19:38introduce some sort of a segment like that. This
- 19:40is a draft. This is the whiteboard, and we're
- 19:43just trying to figure out what that might look
- 19:45like. What can we explain to Clark Fort guy?
- 19:49Yeah, I'm down for this. I like this. I didn't
- 19:51actually know about the 1780s guy bit. I was
- 19:54spitballing the Clark Forkman bit before, and
- 19:57then Scott was like, oh, they did a bit like
- 19:59this in the Bloddy Blah that I used to watch,
- 20:01which I didn't know about because Clark Forkman
- 20:04lives under a rock. I don't know these things.
- 20:07I know a lot of things. I know a lot of useful
- 20:10things. I just don't know a lot of, I don't know
- 20:12other stuff, apparently, but yeah, I think once
- 20:14a conversation, Scott's like, yeah, did you hear
- 20:16about this? You know about this? And I'm like,
- 20:17oh no, that's new. And he's like, actually, it's
- 20:19been around for 20 years. I'm like, oh, okay,
- 20:22well. I guess I've been living under a rock again.
- 20:26So we may have to turn it into a segment. I think
- 20:28it could be a good time. Think of all the new
- 20:31things I'm going to learn. I like learning new
- 20:33things. Costco that is not opening in Eagle is
- 20:37a wholesale discount warehouse. It's like a giant
- 20:39grocery store full of bulk items that you go.
- 20:44What you do is you go in to buy a $5 rotisserie
- 20:46chicken and you walk out with $900 worth of groceries.
- 20:50That's Costco. Yeah, yeah. You leave with a palette
- 20:54of ballots, if I remember correctly. In fact,
- 20:57I'm pretty sure Costco is where they farm a lot
- 20:59of illegal immigrant ballots. Oh, so I don't
- 21:02even need to explain Costco. And get them to
- 21:04vote at the same time. Sounds like Clark Farkman
- 21:07already knows it. I know, I told you, I know
- 21:11things, I know things. I'm still trying to figure
- 21:13out the parking lot that's just a parking lot
- 21:15that you have to pay for thing. That I don't
- 21:17understand. I definitely don't get that. But
- 21:20pallets of stuff I get. I live out in the woods.
- 21:23So when we buy stuff, you gotta buy stuff in
- 21:25pallets. Otherwise, I gotta drive an hour and
- 21:26a half every week to get to buy more stuff. That's
- 21:29no good. Well, do you remember way back on episode
- 21:35six of this program, which was called Control
- 21:38Salt Delete? That was the name of a snowplow.
- 21:45Well, we're now over a year on this program,
- 21:47so we're going to start to see recurring stuff.
- 21:50Well, the Name a Snowplow competition is back.
- 21:52Well, it's that time of year again when students
- 21:54in districts across Idaho are tasked with naming
- 21:56the state's fleet of snowplows. And you have
- 21:58until the end of the month to name your class.
- 22:00Do they name the same snowplow every time, or
- 22:01do they name a new one each time? I don't know.
- 22:05I don't think they mention that. I would assume
- 22:07it's a new one. I don't know. I'll look into
- 22:10that. I'll get back to you. And in the meantime,
- 22:14Randy Westland has declared that he refuses to
- 22:16participate in this competition unless we pay
- 22:18more taxes. Fleet of snowplows. Well, but if
- 22:20we do, then we get to name the snow gate. Of
- 22:24snowplows. And you have until the end of the
- 22:26month to get your classroom submissions in. But
- 22:29keep in mind, there are some rules for the names.
- 22:31Submissions must be limited to one per classroom,
- 22:34be appropriate for kids and be 15 characters
- 22:37or less. So like snow plow your mom? No good?
- 22:41Gotta be appropriate for kids? The Idaho Transportation
- 22:44Department will vote on submissions in November
- 22:46with 12 winners, two from each of Idaho's six
- 22:49regions. And winners will be announced by the
- 22:52end of the year. Some of the winners from last
- 22:54year... Oh, dude, I got one. Edward Snowden.
- 23:00Some of the winners from last year include Snowby
- 23:02Juan Kenobi, Austin Plowers, and Control Salt
- 23:06Delete. I always am like... Yeah going in i'm
- 23:09gonna have an idea obviously i'm not in a in
- 23:11a classroom so I can't come up with something
- 23:14creative and then anything I come up with you
- 23:16can't you're a newscaster as what these kids
- 23:19come up with what about four news plow there
- 23:21you go someone submit it there you go there you
- 23:23go you're welcome gay four news plow hold on
- 23:26that's from four news now in case you didn't
- 23:28know no that's so gay hold on I have to find
- 23:31something that this is terrible hold on gay there
- 23:36we go okay Who else finds it hilarious that empty
- 23:51suit newscaster ladies like, every year I think
- 23:53I could be creative and then I can't. You know
- 23:55what she's saying? Yeah, going in, I'm going
- 23:57to have an idea. Obviously I'm not in a classroom
- 24:00so I can't submit, but I'm always like, I can
- 24:02come up with something creative and then anything
- 24:03I come up with is never as funny as what these
- 24:07kids come up with. Breaking news, lady whose
- 24:09job it is to read off the teleprompter isn't
- 24:11creative. Breaking at this hour. Oh man, yeah.
- 24:19Government mouthpiece isn't creative. Who knew?
- 24:22Professional teleprompter reader can't think
- 24:24for herself. See, you don't need to explain that
- 24:28kind of stuff to Clark Forkman. Clark Forkman
- 24:30understand. Big Sky rain and newscast lady lame.
- 24:37And now Adam explains to 1780s guy rap music.
- 24:45And in this vernacular, what's the difference
- 24:48between bitches and hoes? Well, that was Adam
- 24:55explains. Yeah, you get the idea. Well, one is
- 24:59your side piece and one's your main piece. Oh,
- 25:01see, Clark Forkman knew that. You're more evolved
- 25:03than 1780s guy. Yeah, man, there's bitches and
- 25:07hoes aren't just for the hood. OK, we know stuff
- 25:11up here. I know they like to hang out in parking
- 25:15lots, too. I didn't choose the thug life. Well,
- 25:20that'll tie in nicely with your with your bitches
- 25:23and hoes one that you just dropped. Bitches and
- 25:25hoes aren't just for the hood, okay? Here is...
- 25:32Well, it's almost Halloween, just a couple days
- 25:34from now, and there's an event that's stirring
- 25:36the pot. They missed a perfect opportunity to
- 25:39title it cauldron, but Four News Now decided
- 25:41to call it Halloween Event Stirs the Pot. A Halloween
- 25:43celebration focused on spiritual readings in
- 25:46the small town of St. Mary's, Idaho. It's stirring
- 25:49the pot. Some people are threatening to boycott
- 25:51businesses that are participating. Sunny Day
- 25:54has our story. People here say religious groups
- 25:57in town are concerned about tonight's event being
- 25:59put on by local businesses trying to bring something
- 26:01new to their community. But regardless of the
- 26:04backlash, they tell me tonight's event is still
- 26:06on. Tonight's event involves a psychic medium
- 26:08walking with participants between businesses
- 26:10saying she'll try to sense if there's anything
- 26:13supernatural. Joe's Bar and Grill came up with
- 26:15the idea and told us the same medium has been
- 26:17in town before and there was never an issue.
- 26:19Kelsey Richie is one of the business owners participating
- 26:21and is looking forward to the thrill. I just
- 26:24thought it was going to be fun and exciting and
- 26:26it was a good opportunity for people to do something
- 26:28different. you know, get out of the house for
- 26:31a little bit. But Richie says this week, things
- 26:33took a turn. People sent messages threatening
- 26:35to boycott three different businesses, including
- 26:38Richie, who was also accused of anti -Christian
- 26:40behavior. You're hurting everybody that I employ
- 26:43that has families that work incredibly hard to
- 26:47make a living in this town and support their
- 26:49families. I'm more worried that they're going
- 26:51to suffer because of it. The manager of Joe's...
- 26:53Have you thought about just suing OpenAI? Just
- 26:57a suggestion. Who's who's being who's hurting
- 27:02who? They lost me and I am paying attention.
- 27:05This is the the The owner the business owner
- 27:08as who's one of the participants in this? Saying
- 27:11that the people click calling for the boycott
- 27:14of this event. They like we're on a religious
- 27:15Christian boycott are hurting my hurting You're
- 27:18just hurting the community or hurting our employees,
- 27:20etc. Incredibly. I thought maybe they were interviewing
- 27:23a different lady because it's at the The voice
- 27:27sounded just a little bit different enough. I
- 27:28thought, oh, okay, now they're interviewing a
- 27:31lady who's anti seance. And she was saying that
- 27:35the having the seance stuff was going to hurt
- 27:37people. So I was trying to clear that up. Okay.
- 27:40Interesting. Well, yeah. So they've done this
- 27:43before, but only now people are upset, huh? This
- 27:47sounds, yeah, that's what they said. It's the
- 27:49first year that people are upset. So here you'll
- 27:51hear from one of the, I suppose pastors who is
- 27:54part of why that, you know, one of the upset
- 27:56people. I hear, let's just keep going. By the
- 27:59way, anti -sense is in the running for show title.
- 28:02Incredibly hard to make a living in this town
- 28:04and support their families. I'm more worried
- 28:07that they're going to suffer because of it. The
- 28:09manager of Joe's Bar and Grill says they received
- 28:11similar messages and was even called an advocate
- 28:14for Satan. Today, we talked to a pastor at a
- 28:17sample. Also a terrific show title. I don't think.
- 28:21Shame. Shame. Shame. I'm going to put it down
- 28:28here, Advocate for Satan. I don't suspect we'll
- 28:32actually pick it, but I want to zap it in the
- 28:34running here. Advocate for Satan. It is a fun
- 28:35show title. I like it. It's edgy, but it might
- 28:38be a little too edgy. Oh man, I don't know. That's
- 28:41pretty good. Today, we talked to a pastor at
- 28:43a St. Paul's Lutheran church who says he warned
- 28:45his congregation about the event. They're opening
- 28:47the door to some dangerous spiritual things.
- 28:51We believe that demonic oppression and possession
- 28:54are real. He suggested it'd be best for them
- 28:56to steer clear of the event. Christian shouldn't
- 28:58support this. They shouldn't attend this. The
- 29:02pastor said he doesn't support any threats or
- 29:04aggression toward event organizers. I spoke with
- 29:06the medium who told me she's a Christian herself
- 29:08and her psychic abilities are so good to help
- 29:10people. The event just started at six and the
- 29:13location has been made private to avoid any protest
- 29:15or confrontation. Sunny day, four news now. OK,
- 29:18so yeah, what's up with that? Like you as a practicing
- 29:21Christian? What's your thoughts on the, you know?
- 29:23The the the occult or whatever this guy would
- 29:26call it. I'm a Christian fortune -teller You
- 29:30sure about that? That's what I mean. She says
- 29:32I'm a Christian too. I just what is it? No, he
- 29:35told me she's a Christian. No, that's not how
- 29:37that works Well, let me hear who told me she's
- 29:39a Christian herself and her psychic abilities
- 29:41are solely meant to help people Yeah, I'm sure
- 29:47I'm sure they are and and good for you. But no
- 29:50those those two things are incompatible They're
- 29:53incompatible There are, there is, are such things,
- 29:59is a such thing as like what you would call green
- 30:03witches. In fact, our neighbor refers to herself
- 30:05as a green witch, which I thought when I first
- 30:08met her, I thought was a joke. I thought she
- 30:09was joking. So I laughed. I was like, oh yeah,
- 30:11my wife is a green witch too. She does herbalism
- 30:12and stuff. And this lady was like, no, I mean
- 30:15like I am a witch, but I'm a good witch. So I'm
- 30:19a green witch. And I was like, oh. And I went
- 30:23over and I told Marianne, I was like, have you
- 30:24ever heard of this? And Clark Forkman learned
- 30:27something new that day, that green witches are
- 30:30real, apparently. They would say that they help
- 30:34people. But being a green witch is not of God.
- 30:39That is not an I'm of God thing or I'm a Christian
- 30:41thing, but also a green witch or a fortune teller
- 30:44or a seance seer or whatever the hell. You don't
- 30:47have to be, it doesn't have to be, oh, what's
- 30:50the word I want? Hold on, you're gonna have to
- 30:54edit this and I apologize. There's a real word
- 30:56for this where, I'm gonna remember it an hour
- 31:00from now, where you have evil intentions, crud.
- 31:06Oh, it's the perfect word for it. Anyways, you
- 31:09don't have to have evil intentions to be derived
- 31:11from stuff that is not godly or not biblical.
- 31:14In fact, even in the stories of Jesus, if you
- 31:17read the gospels in the Bible, He went up against
- 31:20several times. He went up against other folks
- 31:22who were possessed and they weren't necessarily,
- 31:28like they didn't do evil things or hurt people.
- 31:32And they claimed to be like Jesus, right? They
- 31:35claimed to have powers and be of God and for
- 31:37God and whatnot. But when Jesus came across those
- 31:40folks in the gospels, he drove the demons out
- 31:42of them. They had demons and he drove them out
- 31:44and said, be gone. You know, do not afflict these
- 31:47people or this person. and that sort of thing.
- 31:51So no, it's not compatible. And the pastor who
- 31:58calls for his flock to not participate stands
- 32:02on solid ground. Now it's kind of one of those
- 32:05things where if you're having fun with it, right?
- 32:08And it's a third out in left field and it's kind
- 32:11of lighthearted and you're trying to do something
- 32:13about it for your business or whatnot. Hey, come
- 32:15on Main Street and have some fun. I can see that
- 32:17perspective. But from a perspective of a person
- 32:21of faith or of a believer, what we should do
- 32:24is kind of chuckle at it and then not participate.
- 32:28And then encourage people not to participate.
- 32:31I don't know if I'd get up there and get the
- 32:33microphone or the megaphone and call for a ban
- 32:36or call for a lawsuit or call for a boycott.
- 32:39But I would definitely, any time the conversation
- 32:41called for it, They encourage like -minded people
- 32:47to just ignore it. Don't participate. People
- 32:51of faith should not be participating in this.
- 32:53Plain and simple. That's pretty cut and dry.
- 32:56We actually have an old recording of Paul telling
- 33:00his flock why they should not participate. He
- 33:07was invoking a lot of classic Christian religion.
- 33:10Take a listen. Israel had sinned, and God was
- 33:16trying to decide who He was going to send down
- 33:19to save the earth. They was round. Somebody had
- 33:22suggested that He sent Abraham. He told Pharaoh
- 33:27that Sarah was his sister, not his wife. He said,
- 33:32no, He can't send Noah. The rest of it is like
- 33:34a subscription. It's behind a paywall. But you
- 33:36can get an idea of what that sounded like. Yeah,
- 33:41no, those were my younger years when I sounded
- 33:43like a 60 year old black guy from the south.
- 33:47Yeah, good times back in my mid 20s. I didn't
- 33:51choose the thug life inexplicably said that was
- 33:54me. But I'm pretty sure everybody knows better.
- 33:58Now, there's this the other part of this. Speaking
- 34:00of old black dudes, this park here, we believe
- 34:05that demonic oppression and possession are real.
- 34:08That reminds me of an old Phil Hendry bit of
- 34:12one of his old black women characters. It was
- 34:14either Mavis Leonard or Clara Bingham who was
- 34:17like basically called in and was describing how
- 34:20her young, I don't know, whatever, niece was
- 34:23possessed by a demon and her head would spin
- 34:25around and she would spew green bile. And as
- 34:27the bit went on, it became clear she was just,
- 34:30she was describing the exorcist, you know? And
- 34:32then people were calling in going like, hey,
- 34:34that lady's just, she's just describing the movie
- 34:37The Exorcist. And then she'd be like, yeah, they
- 34:40made a movie about my niece. Yeah. Yeah. So,
- 34:43but okay. So that's the classic bit, but that's
- 34:46the demonic possession thing. That's what I think
- 34:48a lot of people that would come to their mind
- 34:50is like the horror movie, Hollywood portrayal.
- 34:54What is the actual, like somebody like him or
- 34:56you like saying, oh yeah, it's definitely real.
- 34:57Like what would you mean by demonic possession?
- 35:01There is some of that what people think of when
- 35:04they think of the exorcist. There are actually
- 35:05people who still perform exorcisms. in the Catholic
- 35:09Church, it's a real thing, they do it. A buddy
- 35:13of mine who you know, I don't know if I'd call
- 35:16him a mutual buddy, but you'd know him. He was
- 35:18an incredibly bright fellow, actually thought
- 35:20he was gonna go down that path early in his career
- 35:23and then decided it wasn't for him. And him and
- 35:26I have talked about it, because Clark Forkman
- 35:30is curious, so Clark Forkman asked questions.
- 35:34And it's the real deal, something like that does
- 35:36happen. But most of the time, It's not to that
- 35:40level. It's not that dramatic or traumatic and
- 35:43it's a pretty wide range man But possession and
- 35:45demonic possession is a thing. It absolutely
- 35:48is a thing there and and angels and demons. I
- 35:50think they I They walk amongst us man. This is
- 35:53the battleground if you get it now I'm coming
- 35:55at this from a position of faith So those of
- 35:58our listeners who are producers who may not be
- 36:00that volition might you know? Turn the volume
- 36:02down on this one now and go Paul's even more
- 36:05of it. We knew Paul was a loon, but now he's
- 36:07you know Lock that guy away. But I am a man of
- 36:11faith. And so are you, Scott. And Earth is the
- 36:13battleground, man. These forces are real. And
- 36:16sometimes they do take physical form, or they
- 36:18inhabit our physical form. But you have to let
- 36:22them in. So it's a deal people make. And they
- 36:26let these forces in. For sure. It's a thing.
- 36:32I mean, jeez, we laugh about it. but look at
- 36:35the pedo elites who are in charge of us all.
- 36:38The Hollywood pedo elites, the political pedo
- 36:41elites, look at these people. I mean, we have
- 36:44caught these people actively worshiping Satan
- 36:46and Baal and engaging in some form or another
- 36:51of child sacrifice, because there's always child
- 36:54sacrifice involved. That's the hallmark of all
- 36:56of these things. and we've caught these people
- 36:58red -handed time and time and time again nothing
- 37:01ever happens to them because they are the they're
- 37:03the powerful ones and nobody will touch them
- 37:05but uh it's real stuff dude they let it in so
- 37:10yeah i totally get the uh the response down in
- 37:13st marys especially it's a small town and so
- 37:16the the leader of his flock down there. I would
- 37:19imagine there's more than one, but maybe one
- 37:20get one guy sort of leading the charge or has
- 37:22the balls to stand up and say, Hey, everybody
- 37:24who attends my church, my flock, my people, my
- 37:27parishioners with to whom I am responsible to
- 37:30and to God who I am responsible to, you know,
- 37:33as the leader of the flock, you're responsible
- 37:35to God and to your flock. He's doing he's doing
- 37:38absolutely what he should. Yeah, I thought it
- 37:41was interesting. We usually don't. hear much
- 37:43as far as mainstream media news coverage from
- 37:46St. Mary's. This is a pretty small town. Not
- 37:49a lot makes the mainstream cut, I guess. So it
- 37:51was interesting to see this coming out of there.
- 37:54And a lot of people will roll their eyes and
- 37:56be like, oh, that's, you know, it's overblown.
- 37:58It's over the top. Why would you even bother?
- 38:00Yada, yada, yada. And, and to the, you know,
- 38:02I've already said it, but to that I would say
- 38:04as, as Christians, if we're down there in St.
- 38:06Mary's, it's our job to, to not participate and
- 38:09then to encourage everyone we know, at least
- 38:11who are also of faith to not participate. But
- 38:15that's a, you know, and then there's a line there.
- 38:17There's a distinction between. than trying to
- 38:19punish businesses or punish people for it. That's
- 38:22a whole other ball of wax, and I don't think
- 38:23I'd go that far. Although I would also then have
- 38:26pause and be like, oh, interesting. So these
- 38:30businesses are comfortable engaging in these
- 38:34activities. I think I will think twice before
- 38:36I spend my shiny schmeckles there. Actually,
- 38:41as I'm thinking about it now, I wonder how it
- 38:42even came to the attention of mainstream media.
- 38:45Like how did this even, how did Sunny Day from
- 38:47Four News Now even get sent down there? And she
- 38:50got said it was like the reporter on the street.
- 38:53She was like standing on the sidewalk in St.
- 38:55Mary's in front of the bar. And she went all
- 38:56the way down there and was on Main Street reporting
- 38:59about it. She was. Yep. I don't know how. Did
- 39:02somebody send in a tip? I don't know how they
- 39:05would have even become aware of it. They just,
- 39:07they never cover St. Mary's. I bet you a mayor
- 39:11is involved or city council is involved. Some
- 39:13prominent folks in the community are definitely
- 39:17involved and possibly on both sides of the issue.
- 39:20In towns like that, the mayor always ends up
- 39:22has one or two businesses right there on Main
- 39:25Street. The city council members own half the
- 39:27businesses on Main Street. That's how those towns
- 39:29always work. Coeur d 'Alene is that way. in Coeur
- 39:31d 'Alene is 10 times the size. And the people
- 39:33who sit on the councils and all the boards and
- 39:35the urban renewal district boards and the panhandle
- 39:38health boards and the Vision 2030 boards and
- 39:42the planning and zoning commissions and the city
- 39:45councils, they're all the same people and they're
- 39:48all legacy family people or new arrivals who
- 39:51are in with the legacy families because they
- 39:53share politics. And they're all the same people.
- 39:55They're all related. They're all friends. They
- 39:58all sit on all the boards. And they also happen
- 40:00to own the businesses on Main Street. That's
- 40:03how that that's how that very good at masking
- 40:06themselves as a legitimate private entity. And
- 40:09then when you really pull everything back and
- 40:11you pull these layers back, you realize who you're
- 40:14dealing with. You're dealing with the cartel.
- 40:16That's the head of ISP. I always like to provide
- 40:18context. The guy you just heard speaking is literally
- 40:20the head of the Idaho State Patrol. And we'll
- 40:23leave it up to you to figure out who he's describing.
- 40:26That sound drop is the best it's probably a top
- 40:29three now like it is an evergreen if ever there
- 40:31was an evergreen It is the evergreen of evergreens
- 40:34It's it's so good. You know, what is an evergreen
- 40:38as well is the value for value model and the
- 40:42value model is exactly the opposite of the model
- 40:45that most Media spaces run on which is the advertising
- 40:50model all advertising based media is dishonest
- 40:53at best and likely propaganda Because you get
- 40:56fake and gay because you get told what to say
- 40:59and what not to say and you have to be you're
- 41:02a puppet. They have their hand up your keister
- 41:05and they make you say and not say stuff on behalf
- 41:07of their products. That's how it works. And that's
- 41:09not us, not us, not the value for value model.
- 41:12It's completely the exact inversion of that model.
- 41:16Value for value means that if you if you find
- 41:18our product valuable, you send us value back.
- 41:21Super simple. It's producer supported media.
- 41:25We try to make this program as valuable as possible.
- 41:28We put it out every Thursday. We try to make
- 41:30it as high quality as possible, even despite
- 41:32technical difficulties like today. And if you
- 41:35find value in our product, please attach a number
- 41:38to that and send it back to us. You can also
- 41:40attach your time and talent to it. Time, talent,
- 41:43treasure. That's the ways to return value to
- 41:45us if you find our program valuable. So telling
- 41:49people about the show would be a huge value add
- 41:51in the time. And so sort of talent department
- 41:54because it's like kind of your credibility, you
- 41:56know, like you're hey check out this show this
- 41:59program I've been Enjoying to follow Idaho news
- 42:02and politics and actually you'll hear in a moment
- 42:04from a note from an executive producer that it
- 42:06maybe transcends that a little bit it transcends
- 42:09Idaho even for people, you know, that's who's
- 42:13That's who's with us. That's most of you guys
- 42:14right now is is Idaho or Eastern Washington but
- 42:17that there's some people out there that are appreciating
- 42:20the themes and stuff that does transcend Idaho.
- 42:23So we'll get to that in a minute. But telling
- 42:25people about the show is huge. Idaho is a unique
- 42:29place. North Idaho is a really unique place.
- 42:32But a lot of the stuff we talk about, it's everywhere.
- 42:35Copy and paste, right? Cut and paste, copy paste.
- 42:38Name a mid -sized town. Name a rural red state
- 42:43that has the urban -rural divide. The issues
- 42:46are going to be kind of the same everywhere.
- 42:48as much as we, you know, we love focusing on
- 42:50Idaho because it's our home and it's where we
- 42:51live. But if you're in a lot of other places,
- 42:54you can be listening and be like, yeah, that's,
- 42:56hey, that's my city council too. Or that's my
- 42:58local CRIM ABC alphabet sports caster who isn't
- 43:03creative also. Exactly. So, and you're not all,
- 43:09you are, none of you are listening. There are
- 43:11no listeners. Your town bought a bear cat? And
- 43:13forgot to pay for it? That's funny. My town bought
- 43:16a tank and forgot to pay for it, too. Twinsies!
- 43:19Well, that's really weird because my mayor, just
- 43:21like Gukin, also proclaimed that it was a unique
- 43:23situation. They all have unique situations. But
- 43:28it was going to be okay, Citizen. Other ways
- 43:32to contribute back value to our show? ratings
- 43:36and reviews on whatever platform you're listening
- 43:38on, even just clicking the stars, you know, you
- 43:40don't even have to like write anything if you
- 43:42don't wish to, whatever you believe we deserve,
- 43:45throw us a rating or review. Submitting stuff
- 43:48like show art, like audio, like intros for the
- 43:51Drop the Liberation Deathmatch, still would love
- 43:53someone to put together something like that,
- 43:54send it in. Articles, things you think we should
- 43:57cover, follow -ups of the things we got right,
- 44:00things we got wrong, any boots on the ground.
- 44:02Oh yeah, I love follow -ups in particular. We
- 44:04have one of those to read in just one moment
- 44:07boots on the ground reports and All of the anything
- 44:10like that that you want to submit to us directly

- 44:22and satirical way That can be done at noidshow
- 44:26.com at the website. There is a sign up for the
- 44:28newsletter, noidshow .com. Now here is a follow
- 44:32-up from last episode from 51. This is from Bunker
- 44:36Hill Bill who says, I'm listening to episode
- 44:3951 and I think Scott is right about not having
- 44:42Kaylee Peterson and those types on the show.
- 44:45So before I continue with this note, he's referencing
- 44:47us when we did the breakdown of Kaylee Peterson
- 44:51on the North Idaho Experience. her sleight of
- 44:54hand to turn the city of Boise taking political
- 44:57positions in an official capacity into a about
- 44:59whether or not you're gay even those two things
- 45:01are not related and You were at one point in
- 45:04exasperation you Paul were like we get this lady
- 45:07on the show We need her when she should come
- 45:09on our show so we can just dismantle her nonsense
- 45:12And I had said, I had said, no, it's no good.
- 45:15It's boring. I forget. I don't think I had a
- 45:17very, I didn't come up in real time with the
- 45:19real reason why I don't think we should have
- 45:21her on, but so I'm really glad Bunker Hill Bill
- 45:23sent this note in because he's keying in on it.
- 45:25So his note goes on. The reason these people
- 45:28say such ridiculous things in interviews is because
- 45:31they're comfortable. You get one of them on no
- 45:33ID and they're going to have their defenses up
- 45:35immediately. You'll get canned answers and talking
- 45:37points and nothing interesting. They will know
- 45:39they are an enemy territory. It's like trying
- 45:42to catch a raccoon by chasing it around the yard.
- 45:46Just leave some garbage out and eventually the
- 45:47raccoon comes to you. Anyway, that's how I see
- 45:50it. So I am with Bill is right. That is, that
- 45:55is why, even though I didn't articulate it effectively
- 45:58at all, that is why it does not work to have
- 46:01types like her on our show. We can never get
- 46:03to the point where they're going to be open and
- 46:05receptive and saying these sorts of things. Do
- 46:08you see what I'm saying? It works much better
- 46:09in a deconstruction format the way we did it,
- 46:11not in a real -time conversation. Yeah, I'm picking
- 46:14up what you're throwing down. I think it's a
- 46:16good point. And I like the way that Bunker Hill
- 46:18Bill phrased it. Money, chef's kiss. I get that.
- 46:22I get that. But I would say to a degree, the
- 46:27North Idaho experience, if Kaylee had done her
- 46:30research, I'm assuming she did at least some.
- 46:33Maybe that's too strong of an assumption. But
- 46:36she would know. that at least on paper a podcast
- 46:40run by what is there three of them four of them
- 46:43two of them yeah two to four of them yeah who
- 46:47are who have made now a name for themselves as
- 46:49being fairly conservative -ish uh former police
- 46:53officers who do have a philosophy and uh politics
- 46:58that are going to differ from kaylee's probably
- 46:59very strongly along the topics and she still
- 47:01went on there and felt comfortable enough to
- 47:04to you know say stupid shit And then to our surprise
- 47:08and chagrin, the North Idaho experience guys
- 47:10kind of just did a terrible job of cornering
- 47:15her. Like, I mean, she practically cornered herself
- 47:17and they could have just walloped her and they
- 47:20didn't, but she wasn't, she didn't know that.
- 47:22She had to have known she was going on to what
- 47:24would be, you know, enemy, enemy territory. I
- 47:27think maybe, maybe I'm the one who's assuming
- 47:29too much here. So, but she went, said stupid
- 47:33stuff. Maybe we could get. I don't know. Maybe
- 47:35not. Well, I'm not even. Yeah, I don't even think
- 47:37necessarily that it would be like, oh, she wouldn't
- 47:40come on because of that. I just don't know how
- 47:43effective that actual audio experience would
- 47:46be on account of what Bunker Hill Bill is saying
- 47:49here. They like, oh, just because she'll have
- 47:51her she would have her defenses up much more
- 47:54intensely because of how much more intensely
- 47:56we would we would dismantle slash deconstruct
- 48:00what what she's her her logic, you know. So,
- 48:03and I don't, I just don't know that if she did,
- 48:05if she did her homework and listened to even
- 48:07half of one of our podcasts, she would, yeah,
- 48:09she would know she'd have to bring her, her A
- 48:11plus game or else she was going to get smoked.
- 48:14Well, it's also, I'll also say that it's not,
- 48:17as I've continued to say, this is, this is not
- 48:20an interview show. The people who've come on
- 48:22the program, like Matt Edwards and Tyler Kane
- 48:25and stuff, they were, they're here to deconstruct
- 48:28the media with us, not to be interviewed or be
- 48:30cornered. or otherwise have like a debate, you
- 48:33know? So it's like, well, is Kaylee Peterson
- 48:35going to come on here and deconstruct the mainstream
- 48:37media with us? No. So that's why I wouldn't want
- 48:39her on. This is not an interview show. OK. You
- 48:44know what I'm saying? Yeah. I'm sorry to disappoint
- 48:49you, Clark Fork guy. Clark Fork man. Sad. OK.
- 48:56Thank you for the note, Bunker Hill Bill. We
- 48:58appreciate the feedback a lot and. sending in
- 49:02follow -ups like that or things that you think
- 49:05or things that you think are worthy of revisiting
- 49:07to noidpod .gmail .com is a form of value returned.
- 49:11Now, you're all producers. You're not listeners.
- 49:13You help us produce this program. And if you
- 49:15return value in the treasure category, that makes
- 49:17you an executive producer of that week's show.
- 49:21Now, the mothership of no agenda where we are
- 49:24gratefully borrowing this model from the pioneers
- 49:27of the value for value model. We're here recording
- 49:29on Tuesday, but on Thursday, when you're hearing
- 49:31this, today is the last no agenda that Adam is
- 49:34doing, ending a 19 -year run. And we will carry
- 49:38on the torch of the value for value model, and
- 49:40not the only one. I mean, you know, the things
- 49:42that Adam is moving onto are also value for value,
- 49:44but we are continuing that on in the media deconstruction
- 49:48space, gratefully and proudly. Value for value.
- 49:52So this week, we've got some executive producers
- 49:55to thank. and the continuing support is greatly
- 49:59appreciated. Let's start off, this came in just
- 50:02under the wire, about 30 seconds before we connected
- 50:05on Clean Feed, in came 200 bucks from Derek Boggs.
- 50:11And I did not see a note come in from Derek,
- 50:15so I hopefully didn't miss it. If I did, we'll
- 50:17make sure we make good on the next show, but
- 50:19a huge value return. Yes, Mr. Boggs, if there
- 50:21is a note, send it. That name isn't familiar
- 50:25to me. No, this is a first donor, first time
- 50:28donor as far as I know. Oh, so what did we do?
- 50:30We never found a better, a better like de -douching,
- 50:34you know, like it was the turntables. Well, well,
- 50:39well, how the turntables. We need something better
- 50:42for, you know, you've never donated before, but
- 50:45now you have the de -douching is what No Agenda
- 50:48does. I don't have anything. I'll make a note
- 50:50of that. I actually forgot that we were still
- 50:52on the hunt for a clip like that. Hold on. If
- 50:59anyone's got any ideas, I'm all ears. In the
- 51:02meantime, please executive producers, help Scott
- 51:05find his dedusher. Consider yourself deduced,
- 51:08Derek Boggs, and thank you very much for the
- 51:10huge value returned. We appreciate it a lot.
- 51:13A lot, a lot. And next up is a Speaking of No
- 51:18Agenda, 3333 from a second week in a row here,
- 51:23or even third week in a row, Sir Jamo is back.
- 51:26He's the Black Baron of Lewiston, Idaho. And
- 51:31Sir Jamo says, in the morning, gents, feel free
- 51:35to add two more shows a week to fill the void
- 51:38caused by no agendas and thank you for your courage.
- 51:42And he signs it, Sir Jamo Black Baron of Lewiston,
- 51:44Idaho County seat of Nez Perce. Now, you're such
- 51:48an idiot. Is it Nez Perce? Nez Perce County with
- 51:52the third highest gun ownership, 59 % in the
- 51:56entire U .S. Hell yeah. Whoop whoop. We're number
- 52:01three. We're number three. Foam finger number
- 52:04three. That's awesome. Thank you, Sir Jamo. So
- 52:09now No Agenda is two days a week. You know, it
- 52:11was a Sunday and Thursday. We are just doing
- 52:12Thursday shows. And so Sir Jamo now is going
- 52:15to be feeling the vacuum from the end of No Agenda.
- 52:19And is saying record more shows boys. I didn't
- 52:24know that but as soon as you read the thing from
- 52:26Sir J Moe I Inferred it that they ran twice a
- 52:31week I now had to look up what state has the
- 52:35highest level or I should say rate of gun ownership
- 52:38per capita and I was Really hoping it was gonna
- 52:41be Idaho because I know we had to be up there.
- 52:44It's Wyoming 46 firearms per 1 ,000 residents.
- 52:52That's pretty all right, that's not bad. So that's
- 52:58per capita, so that's highest density, it's Wyoming.
- 53:00Highest percentage of gun owners slash armed
- 53:04households is Montana, with roughly 63 % to 67
- 53:08% of adults or households owning firearms. Well
- 53:12done, Montana. Most total, so for raw numbers
- 53:16of guns, this one I knew. It's Texas. Oh, yeah,
- 53:21because every gun owner has an average of like
- 53:2312. Well, it's Texas. Let's see here. I was looking
- 53:29for. I was thinking I'd get a chart here that
- 53:33would show me some where Idaho is on here. Well,
- 53:38and this is OK. He's a good news. Yeah, yeah.
- 53:42County. Now he's talking about county, but it
- 53:44did. But it now did make me wonder about the
- 53:47state of Idaho, where it ranks as a state. the
- 53:51state. So per on a per capita. Wow. Wyoming is
- 53:56Wyoming is three times the national average.
- 54:01It's not even close. You want to know who? OK,
- 54:03here's an impromptu Scott shot. I had a Scott.
- 54:05I have a Scott shot, but now here's an impromptu.
- 54:09Who is number two, Scott? Wyoming is one. Two
- 54:15is Florida. You're never going to get it. I'll
- 54:23give you one more. Nevada. It's the District
- 54:35of Columbia. It's Washington DC. Oh, dude. That
- 54:39might've very well been the 50th guess. As I
- 54:44said, you're never gonna get it. Now these stats
- 54:46are from 2020. I'm sure there's obviously stats
- 54:49that are more up to date because Wyoming is number
- 54:54one at 195 .7 guns per 1 ,000 residents. So obviously
- 54:58this is dated. Now we're six years behind on
- 55:01this. graph I'm working with here because my
- 55:04Google search said that Wyoming was actually
- 55:07at 245 now. So in six years, in six years, Wyoming
- 55:12went from 195 guns per thousand residents to
- 55:17245 guns per thousand residents. That's incredible.
- 55:21Way to go Wyoming. But at least as of 2020 or
- 55:26in 2020 District of Columbia was number two at
- 55:2866 and a half. guns per 1 ,000 residents. Now
- 55:32these are registered guns, mind you. So District
- 55:34of Columbia might actually be number one. Well,
- 55:37let's, I want to ask the robot what the reason
- 55:39is. As concise as possible. Sixth. Sorry. Idaho
- 55:44is sixth at 24. Wow. Not even top five. Okay.
- 55:49Come on, Idaho. You could do better. I know I'm
- 55:51shocked, but Nez Perce apparently is single -handedly
- 55:55carrying the state. Serjamo and Nez Percer. Yeah,
- 55:58we're on the shoulders of giants down there.
- 56:01Let me ask. I want to see what the Internet says.
- 56:04As concisely as possible, what is the reason
- 56:07for why DC has the highest gun ownership? Checking
- 56:14that quickly. It doesn't. DC actually has one
- 56:18of the lowest gun ownership rates, not the highest.
- 56:20It's per capita. The gun homicide rate is high.
- 56:24That's also true. Gun homicide rate. So that's
- 56:28not OK. Does Washington DC per capita have one
- 56:33of the highest gun ownership rates in the US?
- 56:38Good catch. I'll make sure I get this right.
- 56:40No, actually, DC doesn't have one of the highest
- 56:43gun ownership rates. This chart is the gun homicide
- 56:46rate. And one more thing, reliable ownership
- 56:49rankings. We get that. But again, it's slightly
- 56:52different here. It's just states with the most
- 56:56firearms. registered firearms. So it's not necessarily
- 57:00gun ownership by individual or even by household.
- 57:03It's how many firearms registered firearms per
- 57:071000 residents are there. And I'll bet you the
- 57:11thing that sends watch that sends DC through
- 57:14the roof is because of the heavy, heavy, heavy
- 57:18military presence there and all of the federal
- 57:20agencies and all of the law enforcement agencies,
- 57:25the federal, state, county, city, registered
- 57:29firearms per 1 ,000 residents. Okay, so now I
- 57:32typed it in. So that's why this is going to be
- 57:34skewed that way. Gotcha. So I typed in how many
- 57:36registered firearms per 100k residents is DC
- 57:39among the highest? Yes, you're correct. According
- 57:42to US 2015, like you said, it's a little older.
- 57:44Wyoming way up there. Washington DC at number
- 57:47two, 6 ,640 per 100 ,000. These two figures reflect
- 57:51registered firearms. Yep. And so this is actually
- 57:55a really good example of how you can kind of
- 57:59do anything with the numbers and you can put
- 58:01up a chart. Sorry about that guys. And you can
- 58:05put up a chart and if you don't fully understand
- 58:08what the chart is saying, you can do what we
- 58:11just did here and ask a question three different
- 58:13ways without understanding the question we were
- 58:16actually asking. When like this chart was showing
- 58:19something very specific, just how many firearms
- 58:23there were. in the, in the, within the boundaries
- 58:26of that district or state per 1000 residents.
- 58:29And DC is way up there because the president
- 58:33president, right? All of the, you know, and a
- 58:36high level of registered firearms. So it says
- 58:39it requires firearm. Yeah, of course. So it requires
- 58:41firearm registration, whereas most states don't
- 58:43require ordinary firearms registered. Consequently,
- 58:46registration based rankings are misleading measures
- 58:49of actual ownership. Yeah, so the Wyoming at
- 58:52195 is actually really Wyoming at 300 right,
- 58:55you know Yeah, you're right. You can really you
- 59:00can but that's so true It's just a the lies damn
- 59:03lies and statistics thing. You can make anything
- 59:05say anything depending on how you frame and say
- 59:07it Yeah, I did like that part the rate of ownership.
- 59:10That's not the percentage of ownership. That's
- 59:13not raw number of firearms It's none of those
- 59:16things I do love that AI did make a point to
- 59:19mention that firearm homicide rate was the highest.
- 59:22That's what I love too. No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 59:25no, no, you American. What they do is murder
- 59:27a lot. Well, it is DC. It's true. It's true.
- 59:32I mean, if you, if you take, there's about five
- 59:34to 10 cities in this country that if you, if
- 59:36you removed them from any study or survey, then
- 59:39America is the safest country on planet earth
- 59:41by every metric, possibly imaginable. This as
- 59:46long as we're clear. No, they don't own guns,
- 59:49but somehow a lot of people end up DED. Which
- 59:53is a rather telling non -statistic statistic
- 59:57all on its own, don't you think? Isn't it though?
- 1:00:01It's weird. High gun control, high gun regulation,
- 1:00:07low, actual low per capita ownership and low
- 1:00:10percentage of ownership, but top five highest
- 1:00:14murder by firearm rates. Hmm. Well, maybe it's
- 1:00:17not murder by firearm. Maybe it's chat GPT. That's
- 1:00:19killing them sue open AI. That's none of our
- 1:00:22business Here's a couple more for this week and
- 1:00:25before we get to our second half a show here
- 1:00:27and it is second quarter second quarter Yeah
- 1:00:31here coming in another I believe first time so
- 1:00:35we'll do our stupid turntables thing again. Well,
- 1:00:38well, well How the turntables we got 18 bucks
- 1:00:43that came in again with no note here from geek
- 1:00:46rolling and Again, if you want to send a note,
- 1:00:49we'll we'll make good on it, but I didn't see
- 1:00:51one But thank you very much for the books geek
- 1:00:54rolling also tried to look at your wall flowers
- 1:00:56Tried to look up what geek rolling is like it's
- 1:00:58in Coeur d 'Alene It's at least that's what the
- 1:01:00address on the donation was and I tried to look
- 1:01:02up like a geek rolling calm geek rolling in Coeur
- 1:01:05d 'Alene Couldn't find anything. So I'm not sure
- 1:01:06what the reference is, but we appreciate the
- 1:01:08donation a lot Yeah, thanks, keep growing. And
- 1:01:12finally for this week, we have a shiny Schmeckle.
- 1:01:17And that would be 999, a shiny Schmeckle from
- 1:01:22Anonymous. Now, there is a note here from Anonymous
- 1:01:24who says, I wish I could donate more. Keep up
- 1:01:27the good work. You know what, man? Value means...
- 1:01:30Well, we appreciate what you did donate. Absolutely.
- 1:01:32Value means lots of things to lots of people.
- 1:01:34Attach a number to it and send it back to us.
- 1:01:37And that could, you know, a buck could mean a
- 1:01:38lot of money to you. Hopefully not. Or 10 ,000
- 1:01:41bucks could mean nothing. People are in all sorts
- 1:01:43of different positions in their lives at any
- 1:01:44given moment. So whatever value means to you
- 1:01:47and whatever number you attach to it and send
- 1:01:48it back our way, we really appreciate it. So
- 1:01:50thank you, Anonymous, for the shiny shmeckle
- 1:01:52and thank you and Geek Rolling and Derek Boggs
- 1:01:55and Sir JMo. Yes, thanks to all of you. We appreciate
- 1:01:59the support very much appreciate the notes love
- 1:02:01the notes and yeah a couple of wallflowers today
- 1:02:04But funny you get some of them gave us names,
- 1:02:06but no notes and some of us gave us no names,
- 1:02:08but notes That's how it went All right a bunch
- 1:02:11of crazy cats All right, so hold on now. I know
- 1:02:16what you're waiting for. I was just making sure
- 1:02:17you were done I'll take you down there for 25
- 1:02:21shmeckles! 25 shmeckles? I don't know how much,
- 1:02:24I don't know what that is. Is that a lot? Is
- 1:02:26it a little? If you disagree with what I'm talking
- 1:02:28about, you hate kids and gays. Let's just go
- 1:02:31right into the second half here, dude. What do
- 1:02:33you think? Speaking of punching kids and gays...
- 1:02:38Gay? Gay? You know what time it is, Scott? You
- 1:02:45know what time it is, Scott? Come over for a
- 1:02:46gay time. A gay time? It's time. For Scott shots.
- 1:02:54Oh Yeah, I hope you're warmed up. Hope you're
- 1:02:58real number because this is gonna be a 12 rounder
- 1:03:01Yeah, you got to go the distance with Apollo
- 1:03:04Creed man, or you ain't nothing but a bum For
- 1:03:08a gay time, let's go. How long is the average
- 1:03:15hospital stay in America overnight long is the
- 1:03:24Is the average overnight hospital stay in America?
- 1:03:28There's got to be some like people in comas and
- 1:03:31people that are just really throwing the average
- 1:03:34off like the top 10 % are, you know, using 90
- 1:03:38% of the whatever, like one of those kinds of
- 1:03:39statistics. Like, you know, Terry Shavo, you
- 1:03:42know, drink too much iced tea in 1993. And then
- 1:03:45she was in a coma for 15 million years in a hospital
- 1:03:47bed. So I'm going to say the average gotten vaccinated
- 1:03:51for that brought to you by Pfizer. The average
- 1:03:55hospital stay in America has got to be like four
- 1:04:00nights. Hey, that was a blind guess, baby. Yeah,
- 1:04:08I would like to know more. So you're close enough
- 1:04:12that you're going to get the bell four point.
- 1:04:16I don't know exactly why they do it this way,
- 1:04:17but it makes sense. Got to be precise. The average
- 1:04:20hospital stay is four point nine days. Now, would
- 1:04:25you like to know more, please? For the second
- 1:04:28question. What is the cost for that, the average
- 1:04:33cost? Oh, man. A cost for like a five day hospital
- 1:04:41stay. I'm going to guess it's probably something
- 1:04:43like three thousand a day. So, you know, fifteen
- 1:04:48thousand. I hear you tickety typing. Don't you
- 1:04:50look that up. Calculator, calculator. No, no.
- 1:04:52Dude, I don't cheat on this. You know, I would
- 1:04:54be the world's worst cheater if I was doing that,
- 1:04:56man, because I get every freaking thing goddamn
- 1:04:58wrong on this. Like after we got after we moved
- 1:05:02on from the hard like, you know, when did the
- 1:05:04lockdowns and stuff, which I know all that, like
- 1:05:06by the back of my hand. Everything after that,
- 1:05:09it's just been wrong, wrong. Everything's wrong.
- 1:05:12But I'm cheating. Yeah, but it's like. Matt Damon
- 1:05:15from Rounders where Worm has the mechanics grip
- 1:05:18and he's cheating and dealing out of the bottom
- 1:05:19of the deck and it's so obvious that Matt Damon
- 1:05:21has to just fold all the winners all night to
- 1:05:23make sure that no one knows they're cheating.
- 1:05:25I can't believe you folded those kings Mike.
- 1:05:29Well you dealt them to me for the third hand
- 1:05:31in a row Worm. A hanger? 15k it's got to be 15
- 1:05:37,000 bucks. You're close enough I'm gonna give
- 1:05:42it to you. $16 ,900. Perfect. Inconceivable.
- 1:05:49Just, hey, Sue Open AI, man, they'll pay the
- 1:05:51tab. Which, when I saw the numbers and the information
- 1:05:58was presented to me, the way it was presented,
- 1:06:00I mean, I went looking for it, but the way it
- 1:06:02was presented to me was that number represents
- 1:06:06two and a half months of the median household
- 1:06:09income in America. Yep. Yep. So, I mean, so then
- 1:06:15that got me thinking. that I should start, I
- 1:06:18have a business idea, Scott, and I'm gonna call
- 1:06:20them final resting resorts. And instead of paying
- 1:06:25two and a half months of your household income
- 1:06:29to spend five days in this shitty hospital where
- 1:06:32they make you wear oversized napkins and it's
- 1:06:34absolutely humiliating, instead you just, I'll
- 1:06:37just. open up a couple of resorts in lovely places
- 1:06:41like bali and el south mexico and you know so
- 1:06:44you can sit on the beach sit my ties and die
- 1:06:48in peace. for way less money, for the same money,
- 1:06:51but I'll let you be there for a month. So for
- 1:06:5316 grand, you get to just be there for a month.
- 1:06:55And then at the end of the month, you die or
- 1:06:57we kill you or something along those lines, but
- 1:06:58you go out the way you wanna go out. And I've
- 1:07:01also decided that we'll also offer excursions,
- 1:07:04like Airbnb stuff, like extra packages, excursions,
- 1:07:06where if you wanna go out saving a busload of
- 1:07:10children, you can go out that way in a bus explosion,
- 1:07:14but you got all the kids off or... You know,
- 1:07:16there's another excursion. This one's especially
- 1:07:18for the boomers where before you die, your simulated
- 1:07:22kids show back up and tell you, hey, dad, you
- 1:07:25know, you actually weren't that bad of a parent.
- 1:07:27And we really do actually love you. And so it's
- 1:07:30the reconciliation excursion. It'll be a hit
- 1:07:33with the boomers. It's extra. It's on top of
- 1:07:36the resort fees, but for 16 grand, I can give
- 1:07:39you a hell of a sendoff. and it's money well
- 1:07:42spent, and then you can die your way with dignity,
- 1:07:45in peace, and not in debt, and let your kids
- 1:07:49live their lives now without your medical debt
- 1:07:51following them around. What do you think, Scott?
- 1:07:54I'm shopping it right now. I'm workshopping it.
- 1:07:57Are you accepting investment capital? Oh, hell
- 1:07:59yeah, I am. Yeah. Where do I sign? Startup on
- 1:08:02this stuff ain't cheap. We'll talk about this
- 1:08:04off air then. All right. Woohoo. And for any
- 1:08:06of you executive producers who want in on this
- 1:08:08action, hit me up. It should be mentioned too
- 1:08:11that the meat that was the we say two months
- 1:08:13or over two months of the What was it two and
- 1:08:16a half median two and a half months of and now
- 1:08:18does that that's is that before taxes? Probably
- 1:08:22not. So I don't know if I would they didn't say
- 1:08:24it didn't say before taxes I'm assuming not because
- 1:08:27most of the time when you when these numbers
- 1:08:29are spouted They don't qualify for After taxes,
- 1:08:35they're usually gross gross income. Okay, that's
- 1:08:38what So it is before taxes. It's gross, not net.
- 1:08:42Well, I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming
- 1:08:44because rarely it didn't expressly say net. And
- 1:08:48most of the time when numbers of this nature
- 1:08:50get thrown around, they are gross, not net. Nick,
- 1:08:53that's I'm sure that's right. And so actually
- 1:08:56what it means is it's more like five months and
- 1:08:59change, not two and a half because of that 16
- 1:09:02K and change. You don't keep all that. You keep
- 1:09:06like 9 ,300. Oh, God, no. Oh, let's see. Let's
- 1:09:10see. What's 16? Because I bracket and 70 about
- 1:09:1580 a year. So you're probably give it at least
- 1:09:17federally. You're getting fucked to the tune
- 1:09:19of 10, 15 ish percent. So let's just slice. And
- 1:09:23that's just before payroll time. Let's see. This
- 1:09:28is ugly, Scott. Yeah. So your net income on that's
- 1:09:32like. 5 ,400 and change, and that's before sales
- 1:09:37taxes, property taxes, vehicular registration,
- 1:09:40inflation. You actually owe. You owe money at
- 1:09:41the end of the day. And all the other things.
- 1:09:43You owe. Oh, and state income taxes. Don't forget
- 1:09:45about those. You're at minus 2 ,000. Man, sweet.
- 1:09:49So really, when it's all said and done, it costs
- 1:09:51you like four months of the median income? Good
- 1:09:54times. Yeah, I'm telling you what, dude. Final
- 1:09:55resting resorts, you in? Not only am I in on
- 1:09:59the final resting resorts with Um possible add
- 1:10:04-ons of reconciliation reconciliation excursions
- 1:10:07excursions are both in the running for show title
- 1:10:09And we'll talk when we you know, we'll talk off
- 1:10:12the air Yeah, I was gonna call them death camps,
- 1:10:15but all of the governments beat me to those ones
- 1:10:17already. So work sets you free All right, we
- 1:10:22have a little bit of time left here we'll do
- 1:10:24is or unless there's more is that the scotch
- 1:10:26shots? Yeah, I lied. It wasn't a 12 rounder.
- 1:10:29I just wanted you to warm up Oh, I'm warm. I'm
- 1:10:33ready. I'm loose and limber and ready for the
- 1:10:36second fifth of show here. Yeah, so the yeah,
- 1:10:39we're like, I got I got 12 minutes. Let's do
- 1:10:43it. Let's do it. Here is The latest and you know,
- 1:10:48we're coming up on the election and everyone's
- 1:10:50got their lawn signs out election season. So
- 1:10:53political signs are everywhere. But neighbors
- 1:10:55across Boise say they found their notaprop one
- 1:10:58signs like this damaged and some even stolen.
- 1:11:02Talking with those neighbors who say when one
- 1:11:05sign is taken down, they're not afraid to put
- 1:11:07up another. We got a call from our kids and they
- 1:11:09were distraught. They're like, Dad, our signs
- 1:11:11are stolen. That was the first time Logan and
- 1:11:13Erica Hoffman noticed their notaprop. prop one
- 1:11:15signs on the boi It's not valuing the oth I was
- 1:11:20just really sad in t care to destroy someone'
- 1:11:26center around prop one, w access in Idaho. Kevin
- 1:11:31Ho kids are too young to voa to learn what it
- 1:11:35means t I tell them that there's freedom to vote
- 1:11:39in this n They're seeing that that isn't always
- 1:11:43the case. Another Boise bench neighbor tells
- 1:11:45me his signs have been spray painted, knocked
- 1:11:47down and stolen. Paul Luer says he's dealt with
- 1:11:50this before, but this selection cycle feels different.
- 1:11:53I would estimate it's it's probably 5 to 10 times
- 1:11:56worse this year. And when signs disappear, Laura
- 1:11:59doesn't just replace his. He helps neighbors
- 1:12:02track theirs down to Wednesday morning. That
- 1:12:04search led him to the north end. We showed you
- 1:12:06these very signs in his story on Tuesday. But
- 1:12:09that same night, Diane Maurer says her signs
- 1:12:12were stolen for the third time. They're choosing
- 1:12:14to basically silence us and try to not allow
- 1:12:19us to. Well, yeah, they're pro choice. What do
- 1:12:22you expect? They're choosing to nothing says
- 1:12:24pro choice, like taking away other people's voice.
- 1:12:27They're choosing to basically silence us and
- 1:12:30and try to um not allow us to you know express
- 1:12:34our our opinions on this but for these neighbors
- 1:12:37because hashtag love wins and tolerance and stuff
- 1:12:42love has no home here oh who was it that sent
- 1:12:45us that meme was that mason oh yeah yeah that
- 1:12:49was good yeah that he was the um like you know
- 1:12:52it's the the the chick in the peace sign rainbow
- 1:12:56shirt, putting in the lawn signs that says love
- 1:12:58has no home or a hate has no home here. And then
- 1:13:01it's cut to her on her laptop surrounded by,
- 1:13:03you know, all the signage like I hate Republicans.
- 1:13:06I hate MAGA. I hate Christians. I hate whites.
- 1:13:10I hate kids. I hate Trump supporters, billionaires,
- 1:13:16right wing media, MAGA, the GOP, big corporations,
- 1:13:21people who disagree with me. Anti woke people,
- 1:13:25etc. But for these neighbors, taking their signs
- 1:13:30won't stop them. They're putting them right back
- 1:13:32up. That's how important this election is going
- 1:13:35to be. You know we're going to keep. putting
- 1:13:37our message out there. So that means we need
- 1:13:40to get more signs will get more signs. Ada County
- 1:13:43Sheriff Matt Clifford says taking or vandalizing
- 1:13:45a campaign sign can be a misdemeanor punishable
- 1:13:49by up to a $300 fine and six months in jail legitimately
- 1:13:53breaking the law. If you have a beef with whatever's
- 1:13:56on that sign. that's what we do here in America.
- 1:13:59And for these Boise Bench neighbors, it's not
- 1:14:02about which side signs are stolen. It's about
- 1:14:04the First Amendment. We need to allow people
- 1:14:06to have free speech and not be censored in the
- 1:14:09process. If your sign is stolen or damn, it's
- 1:14:13almost done and then I have something to say.
- 1:14:14So I think that was the last sign is stolen or
- 1:14:16damaged. Officials encourage people to report
- 1:14:19it to police. Yeah, so you know, call it in.
- 1:14:22Notice the stark contrast because I think it
- 1:14:24was two shows ago when we covered the signs being
- 1:14:27messed with that were all lefties signs. They
- 1:14:31were signs that were left supporting. The absolutely
- 1:14:36stark contrast between the two sides and how
- 1:14:39they react to it. Two weeks ago, the lefties
- 1:14:42were like. We're the victims here and it's all
- 1:14:45terrible and horrible and it's just a giant conspiracy.
- 1:14:49It's a conspiracy. It couldn't be anything other
- 1:14:51than a conspiracy and a huge movement against
- 1:14:54us. And just as they breathlessly tell us how
- 1:14:58they are the victims and it's all horrible and
- 1:15:01they're silencing our voice. Just, you know,
- 1:15:03classic over dramatic leftist bullshit. And then
- 1:15:06here, two weeks or three weeks later, they're
- 1:15:09like, yeah, this is a bummer. They're like this
- 1:15:14disappointed dad. We're not even mad. We're just
- 1:15:16disappointed And but you know what and classic
- 1:15:21on the more conservative side of things and again
- 1:15:24I don't side with them on everything are obviously
- 1:15:27hardly I'm an anarchist, but there's just such
- 1:15:29a different philosophy life philosophy and mentality
- 1:15:33and value system And so here the conservatives
- 1:15:35who are who are voting to not slaughter babies
- 1:15:40and they are going, yeah, well, it's just a sign.
- 1:15:43We're pretty disappointed, but guess what? We're
- 1:15:46gonna put up a few more. And the neighbors are
- 1:15:49like, yeah, and I'll help you. Like, could you
- 1:15:51be more peak, like classic good conservative
- 1:15:55than this clip? Like, talk about a stark contrast
- 1:16:00between the two sides. Was that here? Not any
- 1:16:03victimization, not any complaints about like,
- 1:16:05yeah, you know, it's, it's us against them, the
- 1:16:08conspiracy, it's all a movement and blah, blah,
- 1:16:10blah. They're just like, yeah, it's a, this is
- 1:16:13disappointing that they would shut out our voices
- 1:16:15and that they would do this and, you know, destroy
- 1:16:17property and, but Hey, you know, it happens and
- 1:16:21we'll push through and we're going to help each
- 1:16:23other out and put up some more signs and we'll,
- 1:16:27you know, it's going to be okay. And We still
- 1:16:30have a voice and we're going to, we're going
- 1:16:32to keep fighting to have our voice. Such a good
- 1:16:35point. I think here's it here. District 15 Democratic
- 1:16:37representative Steve Birch says hundreds of the
- 1:16:40signs that were taken or his. This is from KTVB.
- 1:16:44Like Paul said, this was from episode 49 of this
- 1:16:46program. born bureaucrat, and we covered KTVB's
- 1:16:50coverage of this, what was his name? District
- 1:16:5215 Democratic representative Steve Birch says
- 1:16:55hundreds of the signs that were taken. Birch,
- 1:16:58please. He says several neighborhoods in District
- 1:17:0115 were impacted, including his own, and that
- 1:17:04the signs all appeared to belong to Democrat
- 1:17:06candidates. Police say around 250 signs were
- 1:17:09reported stolen around the same time. Birch says
- 1:17:12that... Where is he? This happened here, which
- 1:17:14was false. I remember they quoted him. It wasn't
- 1:17:16all... It wasn't all just Democrat signs. Correct.
- 1:17:19It wasn't true. But here's what he's listening
- 1:17:20to. To illustrate your point, here's how he sounds.
- 1:17:24What's happened here in District 15 is unprecedented.
- 1:17:27To have the political signs of the candidates
- 1:17:30from just one party systematically removed from
- 1:17:33several subdivisions overnight at the same time
- 1:17:35is more than just a teenage prank. This only
- 1:17:39happens if there's a coordinated planned effort
- 1:17:42to do so, especially when it happens on the same
- 1:17:44night. So and it was what he's describing is
- 1:17:47actually what happened to all the no on prop
- 1:17:48one signs. It's the version of reality as it
- 1:17:52always is. And then just the yeah, it's such
- 1:17:55as I know I've already said it, but it's a stark
- 1:17:58contrast and it's it's a really very excellent
- 1:18:01illustration of of the two sides and the mentalities.
- 1:18:05Isn't it, though? Just just in total worldview
- 1:18:09differences. That is an excellent point and start
- 1:18:13contrast as always all right here are Let's say
- 1:18:16we got like one more time for one more here before
- 1:18:18you gots to go. Let's do sorry for the hard stop
- 1:18:21again We actually would have had plenty of time
- 1:18:22But we got we got bogged down for half an hour
- 1:18:25and change because they're of our damn technical
- 1:18:27difficulties Which we still haven't figured out
- 1:18:29unexplained unexplained echo no no it's I know
- 1:18:33I don't really Show title unexplained echo all
- 1:18:36right already have so many echo unexplained I
- 1:18:40have like so many on the list this week. Let's
- 1:18:43conclude here with the Hidden City Council and
- 1:18:45the the latest on the law enforcement contract.
- 1:18:49I'm on Team Bearcat just in case anybody was
- 1:18:52wondering. Team Bearcat! This is from Nonstop
- 1:18:55Local. Now to news from North Idaho where the
- 1:18:57Hayden City Council will be considering a new
- 1:18:59month -to -month enhanced law enforcement contract
- 1:19:02with Kootenay County at a cost of roughly one
- 1:19:04million dollars. The proposed agreement says
- 1:19:06that the county would provide five dedicated
- 1:19:08patrol deputies. No, they didn't actually specify.
- 1:19:12I assumed annually. At a cost of roughly one
- 1:19:14million dollars. It's got to be annually. The
- 1:19:17proposed agreement says that the county would
- 1:19:18provide five dedicated patrol deputies, one animal
- 1:19:21control officer, and one detective for the city
- 1:19:24with a cost not to exceed $1 million, which the
- 1:19:27city says was already in the budget. I say that
- 1:19:30the city was previously concerned about how it
- 1:19:33would pay overtime. This draft agreement says
- 1:19:36the county would be required to record shift
- 1:19:38work. report written and record response times
- 1:19:42as well as other data for the city to properly
- 1:19:44pay deputies. Now the county would still need
- 1:19:47to approve the contract at a future meeting before
- 1:19:49it goes into effect. In a separate proposal,
- 1:19:52the city of Hayden is proposing a new part time
- 1:19:55director of public safety position that would
- 1:19:58help with safety reporting, communication and
- 1:20:00planning. Part time director of public safety.
- 1:20:03Our answer to this budgetary problem. is to add
- 1:20:07another position that will suck up more of the
- 1:20:09budget. Now is my latest post satire? You tell
- 1:20:12me if my latest post was satire. It's like watching
- 1:20:16a bunch of retards trying to fuck a door knob
- 1:20:19out there. Should I read it? I mean, because
- 1:20:21it's so freaking on the nose. It's amazing. I
- 1:20:24just, I'm - For the record, they listed off seven,
- 1:20:27seven, they get seven staff for this. For a million
- 1:20:31dollars. That's a hundred and forty three grand
- 1:20:34I'm rounding up but a hundred and forty three
- 1:20:36grand per per staff member For the year now granted.
- 1:20:40I'm sure there's equipment and gas and you know,
- 1:20:42there's the Expensible items where so it's not
- 1:20:45all payroll Obviously, it's not a hundred and
- 1:20:47forty three grand in payroll for each staff member,
- 1:20:50but effectively for seven staff members You're
- 1:20:53a hundred forty three grand ahead I had posted
- 1:20:57yesterday that Idaho is going to be creating
- 1:21:00a new, it's going to be called the Department
- 1:21:02of Freedom and it's a new state agency dedicated
- 1:21:04to protecting citizens from excessive government
- 1:21:06interference. And there's 2 ,300 new bureaucratic
- 1:21:11positions are going to be created and they will
- 1:21:12oversee individual liberty and enforce independence
- 1:21:15standards and ensure all freedoms are exercised
- 1:21:17in accordance with state regulations. Freedom
- 1:21:20permits will be available beginning Monday. Is
- 1:21:24it even satire? No, at this point, it's really
- 1:21:29not. I'm really enjoying this odyssey with the
- 1:21:34city of Hayden and the county. It sounds like
- 1:21:38after all of that gnashing of teeth and complaining
- 1:21:40and moaning and theatrics, everybody pretty much
- 1:21:43got what they wanted. Hayden still got to have
- 1:21:47law enforcement like they wanted. They got to
- 1:21:49ensure that they don't spend more than the one
- 1:21:51million dollars that they already had set aside
- 1:21:54for it. Because I guess, apparently, unlike the
- 1:21:56city of Coeur d 'Alene, Hayden, to their credit,
- 1:21:59understands that when you want to buy something,
- 1:22:01you got to set aside the money first. Bearcat.
- 1:22:05Yeah, crazy. And old Bruce Matare, county commissioner,
- 1:22:11can sleep well at night. Now he doesn't have
- 1:22:13to stay up at night because apparently the thing
- 1:22:15that worries him the most is non -renewed law
- 1:22:18enforcement contracts. And so the county can
- 1:22:20get their million dollars from the city of Hayden
- 1:22:23and fill that budget gap and, you know, blow
- 1:22:25that in a day. Everybody's happy. Everybody got
- 1:22:29what they wanted and it's almost identical to
- 1:22:31what they had before. It's pretty much what they
- 1:22:37had before. Well, who was that that said the
- 1:22:40the keep me up at night wasn't that wasn't Matari
- 1:22:42was it? No, that's the kind of thing that keeps
- 1:22:45me up at night knows a woman definitely not Bruce
- 1:22:47Matari No, but I'm using it because it's an evergreen
- 1:22:50now for everything It is that is a bureaucrat
- 1:22:53sound drop of ever I've heard one because you
- 1:22:55know what a bureaucrats worst nightmare is Don't
- 1:22:56you Scott is that somewhere somebody's doing
- 1:22:59something they didn't approve of? Look, that's
- 1:23:04the kind of thing that keeps me up at night.
- 1:23:06Okay, it is Unfortunately, and nowhere in that
- 1:23:12million dollars is a... Yes, it's Sheriff Norris
- 1:23:16reporting from over I -90, where it's bumper
- 1:23:19to bumper and the construction's... Oh, wait,
- 1:23:22no. Doesn't actually exist. Okay, that's it.
- 1:23:30We got to let Paul go. He's got to go, I don't
- 1:23:33know, be a dad or something. Yeah, I got to go
- 1:23:35do the lame and gay stuff. Like... go take care
- 1:23:39of one of my children. Gay for my wife. Super
- 1:23:42gay. Pretty much the gayest thing you can do
- 1:23:45is take care of your wife and children. Speaking
- 1:23:49of gay and wife, I did see that Dan Gukin's wife
- 1:23:53made a comment on one of these satirical series
- 1:23:55of posts that I've been making. If you saw the
- 1:23:58same thing I saw though, it didn't make any sense.
- 1:24:01The comment said, I could paint that for you.
- 1:24:03Oh, is that? Yeah, it did say something like
- 1:24:05that. I didn't really know what she meant, but.
- 1:24:07I was like a bot response. Yeah. Maybe she's
- 1:24:11into it. Is she his wife? Did he order her from
- 1:24:14somewhere on the Internet? I have no idea. I
- 1:24:16don't know. Was it a real account? Because the
- 1:24:19comment felt like a bot account because the comment
- 1:24:21was all it said was I could paint this for you
- 1:24:25or something like that. She was referring to
- 1:24:27it was referring to the image, the image that
- 1:24:29you made. I have no idea what it meant. In any
- 1:24:32case, please keep us in mind at no ID show dot
- 1:24:36com. Thank you for all of the value returned
- 1:24:39We run on the value for value model here on no
- 1:24:41ID and will continue to do so for as long as
- 1:24:43this program exists I have a quick list of show
- 1:24:46titles here and they are early surge anti seance
- 1:24:50advocate for Satan green witch final resting
- 1:24:53resorts reconciliation excursion unexplained
- 1:24:56echo Whoa, there's a lot of good ones. Okay.
- 1:25:00Well the first question I have then is Have you
- 1:25:02been hearing the echo for this show? No Okay,
- 1:25:06then no unexplained echo because otherwise I'd
- 1:25:08say that's what we're gonna go with it was the
- 1:25:10obvious choice Good, so no echo. No, but we're
- 1:25:14running out of time. You want to pick one or
- 1:25:16you want me to do it? Okay. Okay. Okay I'm gonna
- 1:25:19go run by me one more time. We're out of time,
- 1:25:22but uh, are you still the outro again? Okay fine.
- 1:25:26Well, then then we got to do another two minutes
- 1:25:27Do you know us we could do it? Okay, it is early
- 1:25:33surge Anti -Seyance, Advocate for Satan, Green
- 1:25:38Witch, Final Resting Resorts, Reconciliation
- 1:25:41Excursion. Oh, man. I'm leaning in between Anti
- 1:25:47-Seyance and Reconciliation in Final Resting
- 1:25:50Resorts. It's close. What do you think? I like
- 1:25:56both of those a lot. Advocate for Satan is my
- 1:25:58favorite. Let's go with Anti -Seyance. Yeah,
- 1:26:00it is my favorite, too. But let's go with Anti
- 1:26:02-Seyance because Halloween. Halloween theme.
- 1:26:04Yes, perfect. Oh, as such. I carved a no ID logo
- 1:26:09into a pumpkin. So when I post when I post the
- 1:26:13candle lit no ID pumpkin, it is hashtag not AI.
- 1:26:17I really did it. All right. Oh, yeah. I mean,
- 1:26:20you could have asked Dan Guggen's wife to paint
- 1:26:22it for you, but whatever. I am tired of this
- 1:26:26shit. That already I already said keep us in
- 1:26:31mind. They're at no ID show calm Really cool
- 1:26:33to see two donations guys two brand new contributors
- 1:26:36this week Awesome. Do you know feel free to include
- 1:26:40notes? We'd love to hear from You know who you
- 1:26:42guys are how you heard about the program especially
- 1:26:45because you know, we've only been added a year
- 1:26:46We're not quite on year 19 as no agenda comes
- 1:26:50to a close. We're just rounding the corner a
- 1:26:51year one So it's super valuable for us. I like
- 1:26:53our odds Hear how, you know, how you came across
- 1:26:56our program and et cetera. So yeah, feel free
- 1:26:58to include notes with that stuff. But yeah, we
- 1:27:00really greatly appreciate the support from you,
- 1:27:02our producers. And is that it? I think so. Yeah,
- 1:27:08I guess that's it. You guys got a double outro
- 1:27:10today. Woop woop, bonus. All right. Well, until...
- 1:27:15Julie, you pay double for that kind of action
- 1:27:17cut. I know it's lame. I used the same sound
- 1:27:20drop twice today, but whatever. Until episode
- 1:27:2353 where... Paul might use the same sound drop
- 1:27:26three times from Post Falls and Scott. And Clark
- 1:27:30Forkman is out. Taxation is theft. Clark Forkman
- 1:27:39understand.
