- 0:48Speaker 1: Hello, lovely. It seems like it has been for ever
- 0:54Speaker 1: since I've been here. I know it's only been a
- 0:56Speaker 1: couple of weeks, but I appreciate you all being paid
- 1:01Speaker 1: while I was out handling some not so fun medical stuff.
- 1:05Speaker 1: But I'm back so I did miss you all, so
- 1:09Speaker 1: thank you for being here. I am Terry True Crime
- 1:12Speaker 1: and welcome to Midday Missing, where we highlight current missing
- 1:17Speaker 1: person cases that need more attention. Now. We do live

- 1:24Speaker 1: I like to say, Texas Time. Then we also release
- 1:28Speaker 1: them on the podcast apps the next day, so if
- 1:30Speaker 1: you're listening on the podcast app, just know you always
- 1:33Speaker 1: get it a day later. If you want to get
- 1:35Speaker 1: it the same day. And if you want to see
- 1:39Speaker 1: me and chat with our community in the chat, come
- 1:43Speaker 1: on over to our YouTube channel because it's a great
- 1:45Speaker 1: place to hang out. Now, guys, before we get into
- 1:51Speaker 1: today's cases, I want to take a moment to acknowledge
- 1:56Speaker 1: the devastating floods that impacted so many communities across the
- 2:01Speaker 1: extended Austin Hill Country area and throughout central Texas this
- 2:06Speaker 1: past weekend and is still ongoing. I live here in Austin,
- 2:11Speaker 1: as you know, and we do still have rain coming.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Our hearts go out to everyone affected, those who have
- 2:19Speaker 1: lost loved ones, their homes, guys, their sense of stability,
- 2:24Speaker 1: all of their safety that they've lost. Some individuals are
- 2:28Speaker 1: still missing and search search efforts continue. Okay, the families
- 2:34Speaker 1: are waiting for answers. I want them to know you're
- 2:38Speaker 1: not alone in that Texas. One thing that's great about
- 2:42Speaker 1: this community. We will stand beside you as you begin
- 2:46Speaker 1: to heal and rebuild. Also, guys, let's keep the first
- 2:50Speaker 1: responders and everyone involved in the search efforts in our
- 2:55Speaker 1: hearts because, guys, it is very dangerous. What's going on
- 3:01Speaker 1: for those of you that maybe are new here. I
- 3:04Speaker 1: am the director for our local county Community Emergency Response Team. Guys,
- 3:10Speaker 1: the first responders, the volunteers who are out doing the
- 3:13Speaker 1: search and rescue, it is very dangerous. The waters are
- 3:19Speaker 1: flowing very fast, rapid. There are houses that have been
- 3:25Speaker 1: torn off of their foundations, trees. I'm trying not to
- 3:30Speaker 1: get emotional. It is horrific. So we want everyone to know.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Our hearts go out to all the families, but also
- 3:39Speaker 1: please stay safe. Responders and searchers. We do not need
- 3:44Speaker 1: this tragedy to get even wors There is still rain coming,
- 3:49Speaker 1: so please everyone just stay safe. Okay. Now, let's turn
- 3:56Speaker 1: our attention to today's missing person cases and our continued
- 4:02Speaker 1: ongoing commitment to bringing awareness and hope. Okay. Echo Michelle
- 4:08Speaker 1: Lloyd was last seen on or around Mother's Day twenty
- 4:12Speaker 1: twenty in Edwards, Missouri. Now, her disappearance remains one of
- 4:18Speaker 1: the most troubling and underreported missing person cases in recent
- 4:24Speaker 1: Missouri history. Let's change that. Let's make sure we share this.
- 4:29Speaker 1: She's with four children, a tight knit family, and a
- 4:33Speaker 1: life she was actively rebuilding after drama and separation. Echo's
- 4:40Speaker 1: sudden vanishing raised red flax immediately guys, but authorities, as
- 4:47Speaker 1: we hear all too often, they failed to act decisively
- 4:52Speaker 1: and quickly. What followed was a confusing, frustrating, and devastating
- 4:59Speaker 1: chain of events that still leave her family searching for
- 5:04Speaker 1: answers today years later. Now Born on May twenty third,
- 5:10Speaker 1: nineteen seventy two, Echo Michelle Lloyd grew up in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Her parents worked in law enforcement, and she maintained lifelong
- 5:20Speaker 1: friendships with many people from her hometown. She later married
- 5:25Speaker 1: Tony Lloyd and together. They raised four children, Kelsey, Case, Caitlin,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and Kylie. Now, Echo was a dedicated stay at home
- 5:36Speaker 1: mom for many years, picking up the occasional side jobs. Guys.
- 5:41Speaker 1: See also rescued and fostered animals. Woman after my Own
- 5:46Speaker 1: Heart Okay. Now. In twenty nineteen, Echo moved into a
- 5:51Speaker 1: lakefront home on ten Acres in rural Edwards, Missouri, after
- 5:56Speaker 1: separating from her husband Tony. Guys, the split was able
- 6:00Speaker 1: and was not meant to be permanent. She wanted some
- 6:05Speaker 1: space to find herself again after enduring a sexual assault
- 6:10Speaker 1: about a decade earlier that strained her mental health and
- 6:14Speaker 1: her marriage. Guys, I just want to give props to
- 6:19Speaker 1: Echo because making that decision to step away from your
- 6:24Speaker 1: marriage and move into a house away from your kids
- 6:28Speaker 1: to try to work on you, to try to gather
- 6:32Speaker 1: some ner peace after suffering that takes a lot of courage. Okay. Now,
- 6:39Speaker 1: Echo found solace in the outdoors, in creating art and
- 6:44Speaker 1: enjoying the peace of her new rural setting. Now, despite
- 6:48Speaker 1: the distance, Echo remained close with her family, Okay. She
- 6:53Speaker 1: regularly spoke to her children, especially Kelsey and guys. She
- 6:57Speaker 1: was overjoyed to become a grandmother, Her children and friends
- 7:02Speaker 1: described her as compassionate, artistic, and deeply devoted to her family. Guys,
- 7:10Speaker 1: all of those could be said about me except for artistic.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So I love that Echo is also artistic. Echo and
- 7:17Speaker 1: Kelsey had spoken on the phone on May ninth. Echo
- 7:21Speaker 1: was said to be cheerful and loving and reminding Kelsey
- 7:25Speaker 1: about cards left for her kids and checking on other
- 7:29Speaker 1: family members. There was nothing unusual about this call. Now.
- 7:35Speaker 1: On May tenth, twenty twenty, which was Mother's Day, Kelsey
- 7:39Speaker 1: visited her mother's home around three pm. She brought flowers
- 7:43Speaker 1: on a card, but Echo wasn't home. Her black Kia
- 7:46Speaker 1: Optimum was not in the driveway, and thinking she was
- 7:50Speaker 1: out shopping picking wildflowers, just off doing things, Kelsey left
- 7:55Speaker 1: the gifts on the back porch with a note asking
- 7:58Speaker 1: her mother to call now. On May fifteenth, Kelsey drove
- 8:03Speaker 1: back to the house. She arrived at her mother's house
- 8:06Speaker 1: just after ten thirty am, and this time Echo's black
- 8:11Speaker 1: Kia Optima was in the driveway and it hadn't been
- 8:15Speaker 1: there previously. Guys, A wave of relief washed over Kelsey.
- 8:20Speaker 1: As we could all imagine now, she knocked on the
- 8:24Speaker 1: door and there was no answer, so she knocked on
- 8:30Speaker 1: her mother mother's bedroom window, thinking maybe she might be
- 8:34Speaker 1: sleeping and this was the usual way that you could
- 8:37Speaker 1: wake her. Still nothing. The front door was locked, and
- 8:42Speaker 1: she checked the backyard and Echo. She said, she shed,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I always have trouble saying that. Still nothing. Now, the
- 8:51Speaker 1: flower plant, but not the card she had left a
- 8:54Speaker 1: few days ago was there, but not where she had
- 8:56Speaker 1: originally placed it. Now, Kelsey walked down to the neighbor's house,
- 9:02Speaker 1: asking if he had seen her mom and to get
- 9:04Speaker 1: the spare keys to her house. Now. The neighbor told
- 9:08Speaker 1: Echo that told her that Echo recently had taken back
- 9:14Speaker 1: her keys and wanted to be left alone. Now we're
- 9:18Speaker 1: going to talk more about this neighbor later. Okay, so
- 9:20Speaker 1: put a pin in that. He also said she might
- 9:23Speaker 1: have been picking flowers or at the dump for art supplies.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Something that just didn't sit right. Okay. Kelsey returned to
- 9:32Speaker 1: the house and made a decision. She was going in. Kelsey, Kudos, kudos, kudos. Okay,
- 9:40Speaker 1: I would have done the same thing. I would have
- 9:43Speaker 1: gone into the house. Now, one of the windows on
- 9:46Speaker 1: the house was damaged and partly dislodged. This was not
- 9:50Speaker 1: new damage. Kelsey knew this was there. Now, Kelsey slid
- 9:55Speaker 1: it open and climbed through and stepped into her mother's home. Now,
- 10:00Speaker 1: inside the house didn't look ransacked, but it didn't look
- 10:04Speaker 1: right either. Guys, if you know somebody well, you can
- 10:09Speaker 1: tell the difference between ransacked and just something not being right.
- 10:14Speaker 1: So follow your gut. Okay. It was cluttered and chaotic,
- 10:20Speaker 1: not at all like Echoes usually neat, meticulous style. Now
- 10:26Speaker 1: there was a can of food that sat moldy on
- 10:29Speaker 1: the kitchen counter, Piles of discarded items and trash like
- 10:34Speaker 1: debris dotted the floor and placed in strange piles. Totally
- 10:40Speaker 1: not how Echo lived. So Kelsey said, something felt off immediately, Okay,
- 10:51Speaker 1: just yeah. Now, Kelsey moved carefully down the hallway to
- 10:58Speaker 1: her mother's bedroom, and there her heart sank. Okay, Guys,
- 11:03Speaker 1: on the nightstand where Echoes lighter and a pack of
- 11:06Speaker 1: cigarettes beneath it sat her purse intact and untouched. Okay,
- 11:14Speaker 1: that was an instant red flag. Echo never went anywhere,
- 11:19Speaker 1: guys without her purse or her cigarettes. Now, even if
- 11:24Speaker 1: she was just stepping outside, she would have them on her. Now,
- 11:28Speaker 1: Kelsey opened the purse. Inside was Echo's wallets complete with
- 11:32Speaker 1: cash and ID, but several critical items were missing. There
- 11:38Speaker 1: were no car keys, no cell phone, no prescription medication,
- 11:43Speaker 1: and no pistol, which was the firearm Echo normally carried
- 11:47Speaker 1: on her hip or kept in her bag. Smart thing
- 11:51Speaker 1: to do, Echo, if you live out in a rural
- 11:53Speaker 1: area and you know how to shoot. Kelsey scanned the
- 11:56Speaker 1: rest of the house. It was as if Echo had
- 12:00Speaker 1: in the middle of her routine. Back in the bedroom,
- 12:03Speaker 1: she noticed something else. The mother's day card she had
- 12:07Speaker 1: left on the backstoop five days earlier was now inside,
- 12:12Speaker 1: sitting upright on Echoes dresser, and the air conditioner was
- 12:16Speaker 1: running full blast. So Kelsey knew then her mother hadn't
- 12:22Speaker 1: just gone somewhere. She hadn't walked away. Something had happened now.
- 12:29Speaker 1: She picked up the phone and called the Benton County
- 12:31Speaker 1: Sheriff's office, and that neighbor we briefly mentioned joined Kelsey
- 12:36Speaker 1: to search the property that day, but disappeared right before
- 12:41Speaker 1: the police arrived. Okay, guys, I'm going to just say,
- 12:45Speaker 1: red flag, SUS, sus, sus. You come to help, but
- 12:50Speaker 1: you'll leave before the cops get there. Anybody else thinking
- 12:54Speaker 1: this is weird anybody, Oh, I see we have Polly
- 12:59Speaker 1: hereros and feathers. Looks like got several here. Guys, Am
- 13:03Speaker 1: I the only one that finds that suspicious. You go
- 13:05Speaker 1: to help search the property, but yell yif before the
- 13:09Speaker 1: cops get there, why wouldn't you stay and talk to
- 13:12Speaker 1: the cops or is it just me? Is it just me?
- 13:16Speaker 1: I don't know. But police arrived thirty minutes later and
- 13:20Speaker 1: they took a report. Kelsey told them she believed her
- 13:23Speaker 1: mother was being held against her will and that she
- 13:26Speaker 1: suspected a specific individual. Now, despite the condition of the
- 13:32Speaker 1: home and Echo's absence, it was not declared a crime scene.
- 13:38Speaker 1: What the fuck? Guys? What is up with that? We
- 13:42Speaker 1: see that in so many cases. First of all, it's suspicious.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Glad to see Sammy Sunshine agrees with me. Totally suspicious,
- 13:54Speaker 1: red flags. You all are agreeing with me. But why
- 13:56Speaker 1: wouldn't you make the house a crime scene? Her car's there,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but the car keys are gone, her purse is there.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I don't know, guys, I don't know. That just says
- 14:11Speaker 1: a lot to me, and that is extremely suspicious to me. Okay,
- 14:17Speaker 1: but as we all know, I think a lot of
- 14:20Speaker 1: things are suspicious that maybe others do not think are suspicious.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Now it took the police. Oh my, okay, guys, I
- 14:29Speaker 1: don't know what happened. My monitors just all freaked out
- 14:34Speaker 1: on me. Okay, that was kind of weird. I don't
- 14:38Speaker 1: know if I blipped on y'all screen, but I blipped
- 14:40Speaker 1: on mine. So anyway, the police arrived around thirty minutes later.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Like I said, they took the report. Now, remember what
- 14:51Speaker 1: I said. The neighbor we mentioned earlier, his name is
- 14:55Speaker 1: Joshua Dwayne Smith. I am going to go ahead and
- 14:58Speaker 1: label him pee, and I can almost guarantee you everyone
- 15:04Speaker 1: in the chat will agree with me. Okay. Echo had
- 15:08Speaker 1: a troubling history with Joshua, who lived close by. When
- 15:12Speaker 1: she first moved in, he introduced himself and became a
- 15:16Speaker 1: frequent presence. At first, they were friendly, but over time
- 15:21Speaker 1: he grew more possessive. Okay, guys, hold on to your
- 15:26Speaker 1: butt seats. He would enter her home uninvited, linger for hours,
- 15:31Speaker 1: and ignore her requests to leave. Dude seriously. Now, just
- 15:40Speaker 1: three weeks before she vanished, Echo told Kelsey that this
- 15:43Speaker 1: man had taken over her house, finances, keys, and cars,
- 15:49Speaker 1: and she seemed afraid but was unsure how to confront him. Okay, guys,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I need to unpack some of this. I need to
- 15:58Speaker 1: unpack this. It is your home. Yeah. I know, as
- 16:04Speaker 1: women sometimes we feel like we can't stand up and
- 16:08Speaker 1: say something. I agree with you, Polly, I'm looking at you, Josh.
- 16:12Speaker 1: But it is your home. You have the right to
- 16:15Speaker 1: tell anyone to leave, okay, And if you're scared of them,
- 16:20Speaker 1: I am going to just tell you to call the police.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Tell the police to get the person out of there. Okay.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Do not let them get involved in your finances or
- 16:30Speaker 1: your car, or come into your house and invite it. Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't do it. I mean, echoes a kind hearted person.
- 16:37Speaker 1: She didn't want to escalate things, and I totally can
- 16:40Speaker 1: understand that sometime, especially in the South, we could be
- 16:43Speaker 1: a little kind okay, and we don't want to cause trauma.
- 16:48Speaker 1: We don't want conflict. Kelsey warned her mom to be careful, okay,
- 16:54Speaker 1: and she also said that during that visit, her mom
- 16:57Speaker 1: seemed determined that she was going to take her home
- 17:00Speaker 1: and her life back. Okay, good for you, Echo, But
- 17:06Speaker 1: the comment by that neighbor that she took her keys
- 17:08Speaker 1: and said she wanted to be alone. Seeing that, Echo said,
- 17:15Speaker 1: it made me think. The conversation didn't perhaps go well.
- 17:19Speaker 1: So where are her car keys? There were cars there,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and she took her keys back. Guys, I have so
- 17:28Speaker 1: many questions. Uh oh, I just got the couch court
- 17:34Speaker 1: signal of death, Lama, the little WiFi thing. Guys, if
- 17:40Speaker 1: I get glitchy, I'm sorry. I don't know why. I'm
- 17:44Speaker 1: not using a virtual background. That's a real background. I
- 17:47Speaker 1: obviously did not touch up my appearance because it's not
- 17:52Speaker 1: touched up because we know Streamyard has some issues. But
- 17:58Speaker 1: if I have any problems, let me know, guys. Okay, now,
- 18:03Speaker 1: despite Kelsey identifying the neighbor as a suspect, police did
- 18:08Speaker 1: not enter or search his home. They claimed they lacked
- 18:12Speaker 1: probable cause. I can understand that. But finally days later
- 18:18Speaker 1: they knocked on his door and spoke to him. Okay, now, guys,
- 18:24Speaker 1: it's about to get worse. Okay, It's about to get worse.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Two weeks later, the police were called to Joshua's house. Inside,
- 18:34Speaker 1: they found the body of Joshua's grandfather, Larry, He had
- 18:39Speaker 1: reportedly been deceased for several days in the home with
- 18:44Speaker 1: a broken back and other injuries. Excuse me, excuse me,
- 18:49Speaker 1: he has a dead person in his house, would not
- 18:55Speaker 1: be probable calls to go in right then? Okay, Now,
- 18:59Speaker 1: some horses allege that echoes prescription bottles were found in
- 19:03Speaker 1: the basement. Okay, guys, the grandfather was cremated without an autopsy,
- 19:10Speaker 1: and no search warrant was executed for the house even
- 19:13Speaker 1: after the body was discovered. Guys, I'm gonna try to
- 19:17Speaker 1: control my rent here, but what the actual hell? Why
- 19:24Speaker 1: what's the house not search? If you find a person dead,
- 19:27Speaker 1: who's been dead for several days, and they're living with
- 19:29Speaker 1: the dead body even before an autopsy is done, in
- 19:35Speaker 1: that suspicious because who lives with their dead grandfather for days?
- 19:43Speaker 1: And I don't know about misery, but I'm thinking that's
- 19:46Speaker 1: probable cause anybody out there knew, because that tells me
- 19:53Speaker 1: you need to go and find out. And then to
- 19:54Speaker 1: find out he had a broken back in other injuries.
- 19:57Speaker 1: That's not a natural death, right because if you fall
- 20:02Speaker 1: and hurt yourself, you'll break a hip, you'll break a
- 20:06Speaker 1: knee or thing. I've never heard of anyone breaking their bag.
- 20:10Speaker 1: But then why would you just leave the person there
- 20:13Speaker 1: for several days. Okay, I agree, lady, and great, this
- 20:17Speaker 1: guy isn't normal. But what about the police? Are y'all
- 20:21Speaker 1: not normal? Do y'all not follow you find a suspicious body?
- 20:26Speaker 1: This has been dead, it's decomposing. The guy was the
- 20:30Speaker 1: last person to maybe see a person who's missing. Do
- 20:35Speaker 1: you need an invitation to go in and search the house?
- 20:39Speaker 1: And then why did they cremate him and not do
- 20:41Speaker 1: an autopsy? Guys? I have so many questions. I'm sorry,
- 20:47Speaker 1: I have so many questions. Okay, it makes zero syns
- 20:51Speaker 1: to me, and it makes the red flags even bigger
- 20:56Speaker 1: about Echo and guys, that's not all. Get it ready,
- 21:00Speaker 1: there's more. In twenty twenty four, Just last year, Joshua
- 21:05Speaker 1: Dwayne Smith was arrested in charge with first degree rape
- 21:10Speaker 1: an attempted rape unrelated to Echo's case, with bond set
- 21:15Speaker 1: at seventy five thousand dollars. Now there's a court hearing
- 21:19Speaker 1: scheduled for that case this Wednesday. Guys, I can guarantee
- 21:25Speaker 1: you Amos is going to go down that rabbit hole.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I'm going to go down and with her, we are
- 21:33Speaker 1: going to find this court stuff and we are going
- 21:36Speaker 1: to find out more about this attempted rape. How please,
- 21:41Speaker 1: somebody tell me how that does not make the police
- 21:46Speaker 1: look into Echo's case more. Kelsey, if for some reason
- 21:51Speaker 1: you see this video someone tags you in it, would
- 21:54Speaker 1: you reach out to me. I would love to have
- 21:57Speaker 1: you on the show and talk with you. I have
- 22:00Speaker 1: so many questions. Now. I understand that where Echo was
- 22:05Speaker 1: living at the time was like a population of two
- 22:08Speaker 1: thousand people, So it's not like they have thousands of
- 22:12Speaker 1: crimes that they're trying to look into that. I'm thinking
- 22:16Speaker 1: there's not that much, so the cops should be able
- 22:18Speaker 1: to be looking into this. The guy last person to
- 22:23Speaker 1: see somebody who goes missing. You find a dead body
- 22:27Speaker 1: in his house that's been decomposing, who's got injuries in
- 22:32Speaker 1: a broken back. You don't search the guy's house. Then
- 22:35Speaker 1: he gets arrested for rape and attempted rape. Now, please
- 22:39Speaker 1: tell me how the hell you are not going hard
- 22:43Speaker 1: at this guy? Somebody? Okay, So kelsee any of the
- 22:47Speaker 1: other families. We want to help you in any way
- 22:52Speaker 1: we can, Okay, email me now, Kelsey Smith. Echo's eldest
- 22:58Speaker 1: daughter has been the unwavering force behind the ongoing efforts
- 23:02Speaker 1: to find her mother. Remember, guys, Echo was excited to
- 23:06Speaker 1: become a grandmother. Okay, so that means Kelsey has a
- 23:10Speaker 1: new baby too. Now, she provided authorities with detailed knowledge
- 23:14Speaker 1: of Echo's habits and concerns. Kelsey contacted Echo's phone carrier
- 23:20Speaker 1: and bank for activity, relayed tips, and pushed for law
- 23:24Speaker 1: enforcement to follow up on leads, including potential surveillance footage
- 23:29Speaker 1: and witness accounts, like a receipt from Walmart in Warsaw,
- 23:33Speaker 1: which is about twenty minutes away, that was dated May tenth,
- 23:37Speaker 1: and it was found in Echo's home. Her signature was
- 23:40Speaker 1: on it, suggesting she returned home after Kelsey's visit. Now,
- 23:46Speaker 1: a Dollar General clerk in Warsaw said Echo came in
- 23:49Speaker 1: that day to buy a prepaid phone, but her check
- 23:53Speaker 1: was declined. Now Echo allegedly told the clerk her bank
- 23:57Speaker 1: account had been emptied and that people were waiting for
- 24:01Speaker 1: her outside. What the hell? What the hell? Where was
- 24:07Speaker 1: Joshua on May temp? Does anybody know? Did anybody pull
- 24:12Speaker 1: surveillance footage to look at this lady? And gray amos
- 24:17Speaker 1: rabbit hole here we go? I need to know was
- 24:20Speaker 1: that footage? Who was outside waiting for her? Who? Why
- 24:24Speaker 1: did they m be her bank account She told her
- 24:27Speaker 1: daughter that he was Oh, guys, amos, you find the
- 24:34Speaker 1: cases that make me want to pull my hair out
- 24:39Speaker 1: and scream at these people. Okay. Now, the Missouri State
- 24:43Speaker 1: Police have taken over the investigation. Though it's been five
- 24:48Speaker 1: years since Echo vanished, Kelsey continues to share her mother's
- 24:52Speaker 1: story with the hope of finding answers. Now. She acknowledges
- 24:57Speaker 1: the emotional strain of uncertainty. Says she's striving to learn
- 25:01Speaker 1: to breathe through it and keep moving forward and just
- 25:06Speaker 1: hope for the best and pray that justice will come. Kelsey,
- 25:11Speaker 1: I see you and I feel you. I have so
- 25:16Speaker 1: many goosebumps. Now, Kelsey is optimistic, sharing that the renewed
- 25:21Speaker 1: collaboration between state patrol and search organizations is the most
- 25:26Speaker 1: progress she's witnessed in years. She continues to advocate publicly,
- 25:31Speaker 1: driven by hope and prayer, even among the long wait. Now.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Echo Lloyd is described as five foot four inches tall,
- 25:41Speaker 1: weighing approximately one hundred to one hundred and ten pounds,
- 25:44Speaker 1: with brown hair and brown eyes. She has to let
- 25:47Speaker 1: it be tattooed with birds on her fore arm, her
- 25:51Speaker 1: children's name on her wrist. Kelsey case Caitlin and Kylie.
- 25:56Speaker 1: She was forty seven at the time she disappeared. Guys, hey, Dave,
- 26:04Speaker 1: I want to also remind you that she was living
- 26:10Speaker 1: on that property trying. Oh my goodness, amos found surveillance
- 26:18Speaker 1: from that Walmart did show Echo with Joshua on May tenth.
- 26:22Speaker 1: He didn't added to the story. Girl, I need to
- 26:25Speaker 1: see that footage. Please add it to our Google drive.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I why has Joshua not been investigated? But guys, what
- 26:35Speaker 1: I want you to remember she was living away from
- 26:40Speaker 1: her husband and family because she was trying to find
- 26:44Speaker 1: peace after being sexually assaulted. And then this happens to her.
- 26:49Speaker 1: She was retraumatized again and her family is retraumatized. I
- 27:01Speaker 1: this makes me feel she deserves justice even more, Okay,
- 27:06Speaker 1: and we need to all do what we can do.
- 27:10Speaker 1: We need to share the missing missing person poster. We
- 27:15Speaker 1: need to share this video. Okay. There is a reward
- 27:19Speaker 1: for anyone that has information that leads to the whereabouts.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Echo did not walk away. Her daughter knows it, her
- 27:26Speaker 1: family knows it. Guys, I don't know Echo, but I
- 27:29Speaker 1: am going to go on record and say I know it. Okay.
- 27:33Speaker 1: There's too many signs pointing to something darker, and no
- 27:37Speaker 1: one's been held accountable. Kelsey continues to lead the charge
- 27:41Speaker 1: for justice, balancing motherhood grief with a tireless fight to
- 27:45Speaker 1: bring Echo home. Someone knows what happened. It's time they
- 27:51Speaker 1: speak up and help Echo's family get the answers they deserve.
- 27:55Speaker 1: And if you are related to Joshua, you need to
- 27:59Speaker 1: go visit him and find out what the hell he knows.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Find out why he was going into this woman's home
- 28:09Speaker 1: controlling her. You need to find out what's wrong with him. Okay.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You need to get him to talk. I don't know
- 28:14Speaker 1: how you do it, but I'm going to tell you
- 28:16Speaker 1: you need to do it. Okay. If you have any information,
- 28:20Speaker 1: please contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol Missing Persons Unit
- 28:25Speaker 1: at five seven three, five two six, six one seven eight.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Because this case is screwed up. Okay. It sounds like
- 28:36Speaker 1: law enforcement drop the ball. I'm glad the state police
- 28:39Speaker 1: is involved. But as we've said before, getting involved late
- 28:45Speaker 1: means clues, evidence and stuff disappears. Okay. And the fact
- 28:52Speaker 1: that they didn't search his house he could have gotten
- 28:56Speaker 1: rid of everything. What if there was evidence in that
- 28:59Speaker 1: home of what he did dar and they didn't check it,
- 29:04Speaker 1: so that is a problem. Okay. Now, guys, if you
- 29:11Speaker 1: know or if you have a left one missing and
- 29:14Speaker 1: your interested in having their story featured on an upcoming episode,
- 29:18Speaker 1: or if you want to also join us for a
- 29:20Speaker 1: live interview, you can contact Amy, our assistant producer, by
- 29:25Speaker 1: emailing Amy at tcwtmedia dot com or send us a
- 29:30Speaker 1: DM on our Facebook page. Okay, Okay, sorry, guys, I
- 29:39Speaker 1: was asking DOUBLEH to shut us door real quick, rain
- 29:43Speaker 1: jobs and feathers. It happened in twenty two. Was probably
- 29:47Speaker 1: occupied with the pandemic, that is true. But I'm going
- 29:51Speaker 1: to just say, a missing person Trump's pandemic to me,
- 29:56Speaker 1: especially in a town I think it said nine hundred
- 29:59Speaker 1: and ninety four households two thousand people, and I'm sure
- 30:02Speaker 1: it's pretty small law enforcement, But why didn't you call
- 30:05Speaker 1: the state police? In call the state police? In next
- 30:12Speaker 1: we're going to talk about Kennedy Walton. Okay. On the
- 30:18Speaker 1: night of March third, twenty twenty two, twenty six year
- 30:21Speaker 1: old Kennedy A. Walton left her mother's home in Belleville,
- 30:25Speaker 1: Illinois around ten thirty pm. She was driving her mother's
- 30:29Speaker 1: white two thousand and seven Chevrolet Tahoe because her own
- 30:33Speaker 1: car wasn't working very well. Now, Kennedy had been staying
- 30:37Speaker 1: at her mother's home to help her for her and
- 30:41Speaker 1: her younger siblings after her mother had underwent surgery. Now,
- 30:46Speaker 1: instead of heading straight home to her residence in Saint Here,
- 30:50Speaker 1: we go. Cappain's not on. So I'm okay, Saint Louis, Missouri.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Saint Louis for me. Kennedy drove to Saint Charles, Missouri,
- 31:00Speaker 1: where she met friends and roommates at show Me's Bar
- 31:03Speaker 1: and Grille to celebrate a friend's birthday. Guys, I have
- 31:08Speaker 1: to tell you when I saw that she had been
- 31:11Speaker 1: in Illinois and she was driving to Missouri, I had
- 31:14Speaker 1: to go look at the map because I'm geographically challenged.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Did you know Saint Louis is only twenty minutes away
- 31:22Speaker 1: from Illinois? So I learned something new now. Surveillance footage
- 31:28Speaker 1: captured Kennedy leaving the bar alone at approximately one ten
- 31:32Speaker 1: am on March fourth. She walked toward the Tahoe that
- 31:37Speaker 1: was parked nearby. Now, Shortly after she left the bar,
- 31:41Speaker 1: a friend found Kennedy sitting in her vehicle crying. When
- 31:45Speaker 1: she asked if she was okay. She reportedly replied that
- 31:50Speaker 1: she would be fine, but she then abruptly drove away,
- 31:55Speaker 1: passing the friend's vehicle. Now, the friend was worried, so
- 31:59Speaker 1: she decided to towards Kennedy's house and saw that Kennedy
- 32:03Speaker 1: had pulled up at the house, but then was pulling
- 32:05Speaker 1: away from her Saint Louis residence. Guys. That is the
- 32:11Speaker 1: last known sighting of Kennedy Walton now guys. The following morning.
- 32:16Speaker 1: The morning Kennedy failed to show up at her mom's house,
- 32:21Speaker 1: her younger sisters, whom she was supposed to wake up
- 32:24Speaker 1: and get ready for school, hadn't heard from her. They
- 32:28Speaker 1: didn't get out and so they were all concerned. Her
- 32:30Speaker 1: phone went unanswered and it then reportedly stopped working. Around
- 32:35Speaker 1: noon that day, her family became concerned and reported her
- 32:40Speaker 1: missing to the police. Now, Lady and Gray, that is correct.
- 32:49Speaker 1: You can also DM us here on our Facebook. You
- 32:53Speaker 1: can dm You could DM me anywhere you can find me. Okay. Now.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Six days later, on March tenth, Kennedy's mother's white Chevrolet
- 33:02Speaker 1: Tahoe was located just two blocks from Kennedy's home. Okay.
- 33:08Speaker 1: A nearby resident reported seeing an unidentified man park the
- 33:13Speaker 1: vehicle and walk away. Guys, that is chilling. There was
- 33:21Speaker 1: no visible signs of damage or foul play, and all
- 33:26Speaker 1: of Kennedy's personal belongings were missing. Okay, the vehicle's processed
- 33:32Speaker 1: for fingerprints by law enforcement and later returned to the family. Guys,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I gotta ask, why would law enforcement check for fingerprints
- 33:44Speaker 1: and then release it? Why didn't they keep it and
- 33:49Speaker 1: go through it? I mean, did they rip out the carpet?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Were about the seats for DNA to see if something happened.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Once again, Terry, we ask so many questions. Kennedy Walton
- 34:03Speaker 1: is described as a tall woman, standing between five foot
- 34:07Speaker 1: ten inches and five foot eleven inches and weighing between
- 34:10Speaker 1: two sixty and two hundred and seventy pounds. She has
- 34:14Speaker 1: black or dark brown hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears.
- 34:18Speaker 1: On the night she disappeared, she was last seen wearing
- 34:21Speaker 1: black leggings, a black T shirt, and a black jacket.
- 34:26Speaker 1: At the time of her disappearance, Kennedy was living in
- 34:30Speaker 1: Saint Louis. I can say that because Captain's not here
- 34:33Speaker 1: with two roommates. She had deep ties to her family,
- 34:37Speaker 1: especially her younger sisters, and was known to be very
- 34:40Speaker 1: protective and nurturing towards them. Her relatives described her as
- 34:45Speaker 1: a gentle giant who loved loud music, spontaneous drives, and
- 34:50Speaker 1: spending timed with loved ones. She was especially attentant of
- 34:54Speaker 1: her siblings, often taping them swimming or helping them through
- 34:59Speaker 1: difficult time. Basically, guys, what I'm saying she wouldn't just
- 35:05Speaker 1: walk away. Uh oh, guys, I'm in trouble. She's in
- 35:10Speaker 1: the house Saint Louis, Missouri, Saint Louis. Anyway, she didn't
- 35:19Speaker 1: just walk away from her family. Okay, look at her.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I mean she didn't, Okay. The Belleville Police Department opened
- 35:29Speaker 1: an investigation into her disappearance under case number twenty two
- 35:33Speaker 1: DASH zero zero ninety eight three. Kennedy's DNA was entered
- 35:38Speaker 1: into a national database, the vehicle was processed for forensic evidence.
- 35:44Speaker 1: But guys, I still want to know why they returned it.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Why did they return it? I have never heard of that. Okay,
- 35:51Speaker 1: never heard of that. And police conducted interviews with friends
- 35:56Speaker 1: and individuals who had seen her the night she disappeared.
- 36:00Speaker 1: As of now, suspects have been named and no arrest
- 36:04Speaker 1: have been named. Now. Kennedy's family has continued to raise
- 36:11Speaker 1: awareness about her disappearance through the community outreach, poster campaigns,
- 36:15Speaker 1: and social media. They have held vigils and called on
- 36:19Speaker 1: the public to help share her story. Guys, she didn't
- 36:24Speaker 1: just disappear, okay, Aliens didn't beam her up, okay, some
- 36:29Speaker 1: family Some of the family have expressed fears that she
- 36:32Speaker 1: may have become a victim of human trafficking or foul play.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Law enforcement has not publicly confirmed any theories. Guys, I
- 36:44Speaker 1: am just gonna say that I think because she is
- 36:54Speaker 1: not a blonde haired, blue eyed, white girl, they aren't
- 37:01Speaker 1: looking into this as much. And if I'm wrong, law enforcement,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I will be happy to say I'm wrong. Prove me wrong.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I would love for you to prove me wrong. Okay,
- 37:10Speaker 1: But you gave the vehicle back. What if DNA evidence
- 37:16Speaker 1: gets even better than it has now. What if in
- 37:19Speaker 1: four years there was something microscopic that you didn't catch
- 37:23Speaker 1: in that vehicle that you could have found now, But
- 37:25Speaker 1: yet you gave the vehicle back. I need to know.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Did you check her phone records? Was she crying? Did
- 37:32Speaker 1: she have an argument or something? Via tacks with somebody
- 37:37Speaker 1: what made her upset? I need the deeds, I need
- 37:41Speaker 1: more details. Yes, I agree that captain did an entire
- 37:51Speaker 1: promo for them, and it is Saint Louis. But if
- 37:54Speaker 1: you're a sex and the city girl like me, it
- 37:56Speaker 1: is Saint Louis. Okay, just saying. And yes, Polly, I'm
- 38:01Speaker 1: gonna say. Both of these women are beautiful and they
- 38:07Speaker 1: are loved ones. They are families, somebody's family. And you
- 38:12Speaker 1: know they weren't living in high risk lifestyles that law
- 38:16Speaker 1: enforcement likes to say causes them to go missing. We
- 38:20Speaker 1: didn't see any of that. So law enforcement, do better. Okay,
- 38:24Speaker 1: do better, and yes, I will give you credit. Twenty
- 38:27Speaker 1: twenty two, the pandemic. Life was different. Things were going on.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I don't give a shift. We're talking about missing persons. Okay,
- 38:37Speaker 1: bye day, Thank you for stopping in. I've missed you too.
- 38:43Speaker 1: You need to do better. Okay, you need to do better.
- 38:46Speaker 1: As of now, the case remains open and active, but
- 38:51Speaker 1: Kennedy has not been seen or heard from since March fourth,
- 38:54Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. Anyone with information is urged to contact
- 38:59Speaker 1: the Belleville to Play Police Department at six one, eight,
- 39:02Speaker 1: two three four one, two, one two, and because they
- 39:06Speaker 1: can't remember her name, they would like to ask you
- 39:09Speaker 1: to reference the case number twenty two dash zero zero
- 39:13Speaker 1: nine eight three. Guys, once again, I'm gonna say, what
- 39:17Speaker 1: the hell? Can't we just say her name? Do we
- 39:20Speaker 1: have to give her a number? She's more than a number.
- 39:23Speaker 1: She is more than a number. Okay, Now, guys, please
- 39:29Speaker 1: go to our Facebook page for Midday Missing share the
- 39:32Speaker 1: missing person posters for Echo and Kennedy. Just sharing their
- 39:37Speaker 1: posters helps keep their cases in the community spotlight, and guys,
- 39:43Speaker 1: you never know, it might just help lead to a tip. Okay, guys,
- 39:48Speaker 1: I am so worked up. I'm sorry. I feel like
- 39:52Speaker 1: I am talking ninety to nothing, but I'm worked up now.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Today my tips in light of the recent tragedy in Texas,
- 40:06Speaker 1: I wanted to share some tips that I've learned in
- 40:10Speaker 1: the community Emergency Response Team training that we do on
- 40:14Speaker 1: what to do with flooding or flash flooding is predicted
- 40:17Speaker 1: or occurs in your area. I also want to say
- 40:23Speaker 1: I get alerts for flash flooding. I've never thought about
- 40:27Speaker 1: them unless there was a hurricane. And we lived pretty
- 40:31Speaker 1: close to the Colorado River half a mile and from
- 40:37Speaker 1: the Guadalupe where the actual flooding forty five minutes to
- 40:42Speaker 1: an hour. Maybe it didn't. The Guadalupe runs through so
- 40:47Speaker 1: many areas, not just Wemberley, Kerrville. Georgetown was also so
- 40:53Speaker 1: it was pretty widespread. New Bronswolls had some. It went
- 40:57Speaker 1: across several counties and I have goosebumps just thinking about it. So, guys,
- 41:03Speaker 1: first thing I want to tell you, guys, let's start
- 41:06Speaker 1: paying attention to those flash flood warnings. I get them
- 41:10Speaker 1: and I isy go, oh yeah, whatever, Guys, this is
- 41:14Speaker 1: a wake up call to me. Okay, this happened at
- 41:19Speaker 1: night and it was was instilled, severely tragic. So first thing,
- 41:27Speaker 1: never walk or drive through floodwater. Sky. First of all,
- 41:31Speaker 1: driving through you don't know how deep that water is. Okay,
- 41:35Speaker 1: you don't know. And guys, you may not know this.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Just six inches of moving water can knock you off
- 41:42Speaker 1: your feet, Okay. One foot of moving water can sweep
- 41:48Speaker 1: your car away. Guys. The waters are moving so fast
- 41:57Speaker 1: it's insane. Okay, So think about this at get to
- 42:01Speaker 1: higher ground immediately. If you see the water start rising,
- 42:06Speaker 1: quickly move to the highest level of your home or
- 42:10Speaker 1: nearby terrain. Okay, try to avoid and close attics unless
- 42:16Speaker 1: you have a way to signal for help. Guys, what
- 42:19Speaker 1: I want to tell you the houses on the lake
- 42:23Speaker 1: and on the Guadalupe where this happened. The water was
- 42:27Speaker 1: moving so fast. Some homes were taken off their foundation.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Some people were rescued floating on the roof of the
- 42:36Speaker 1: house down the river. Okay, get as high as you can. Okay,
- 42:45Speaker 1: stay informed, guys. Keep a battery powered weather radio or
- 42:51Speaker 1: phone alerts active to receive emergency updates and vaccination notices
- 42:56Speaker 1: and flash flood warnings. Guys, you can go on a
- 43:00Speaker 1: Mazon home depot. You can get very inexpensively those water radios.
- 43:06Speaker 1: We all have become so reliant on our cell phones.
- 43:09Speaker 1: A lot of people don't even have landlines here in
- 43:13Speaker 1: Central Texas. We can get calls to our landlines our
- 43:17Speaker 1: cell phone and text messages from more in Central Texas.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Check in your area to see if you have something
- 43:24Speaker 1: like that. But definitely get a watter radio. Okay. Now,
- 43:30Speaker 1: if there's an alert, you need to prepare immediately. Okay.
- 43:35Speaker 1: If you get an alert, make sure your valuables and
- 43:38Speaker 1: important documents and stuff are moved to higher shelves. Guys,
- 43:42Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you do that always. Okay. Put
- 43:47Speaker 1: your important documents in valuable somewhere. Don't wait till the
- 43:52Speaker 1: last minute. Now when you get an alert like this alert,
- 43:57Speaker 1: they had three hours notice. Okay. If you get a lot.
- 44:00Speaker 1: When we get the high wind and alerts here, first
- 44:04Speaker 1: thing we do, bring outdoor furniture. Trash bends inside because
- 44:09Speaker 1: strong winds, flowing waters can get them. Okay. Make sure
- 44:13Speaker 1: your car's gas tank. Never let it go below empty.
- 44:18Speaker 1: If are below empty, duh, terry, I mean to say
- 44:21Speaker 1: below half fold during the springtime, deur in the fall,
- 44:26Speaker 1: when we know there's crazy weather, keep your car half
- 44:29Speaker 1: full or more. Okay. Make sure your phones are charged okay.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Make sure you have an emergency kit. Okay, have that
- 44:40Speaker 1: to go because you don't know. Also review your evacuation roots.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Share your plans with your loved ones. If you're going
- 44:48Speaker 1: to leave, share your location people, okay. Also avoid electrical hazards.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Never touch electrical equipment if you're wet or standing in water,
- 45:00Speaker 1: it's unsafe. In fact, you should keep your toaster, your
- 45:05Speaker 1: coffee pot. All of your plants should be kept unplugged
- 45:07Speaker 1: when you're not using them. Okay, have a go bag ready, guys.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Me and DOUBLEH have one in each of our vehicles.
- 45:15Speaker 1: We have one in our closet as well. You want
- 45:18Speaker 1: to pack medication, important documents that you could need, water, snacks, flashlight,
- 45:24Speaker 1: pet supplies, and chargers ahead of time. Okay. Now, after
- 45:30Speaker 1: flooding occurs, be cautious. Watch for debris. Watch for down
- 45:35Speaker 1: power lines. Okay, guys, a downpower line can turn that
- 45:40Speaker 1: water into full electricity pot. Okay. If you're driving, do
- 45:46Speaker 1: not drive into a puddle of water. Okay, you don't
- 45:50Speaker 1: know if it's a sink coal. Okay. Also, pay attention
- 45:55Speaker 1: to alerts for drinking your tap water. Sometimes the tap
- 45:59Speaker 1: water gets contaminated. Guys. I also want to recommend getting
- 46:05Speaker 1: the Red Cross app on your phone, setting the weather
- 46:08Speaker 1: alerts for your area. Guys. We've had it for years.
- 46:11Speaker 1: We had it up when we lived in the DFW
- 46:13Speaker 1: area and we were in Tornado Alley. It helped get
- 46:18Speaker 1: me to the closet when we needed to. Okay, Sammy,
- 46:25Speaker 1: I agree. Practice of a plane, especially when living, is
- 46:29Speaker 1: truly helpful. Guys. You need to stay ready because you
- 46:35Speaker 1: never know what's going to happen. Okay, And Amos is
- 46:42Speaker 1: putting things in the chat of places that are secure
- 46:46Speaker 1: places to donate. So Pilola's mom, some areas do have
- 46:53Speaker 1: alarm siren systems down in this area. They did not.
- 46:58Speaker 1: They have been trying to get the funds to do that,
- 47:01Speaker 1: I bet you, because this is the second time this
- 47:06Speaker 1: has happened. Okay, I suspect they're going to do something now.
- 47:11Speaker 1: But if you get the Red Cross app, what's great
- 47:13Speaker 1: about it? Guys? You can even monitor loved ones so
- 47:18Speaker 1: that you get an alert when they're areas. So before
- 47:22Speaker 1: my mother in law lived with us, I had Abilene
- 47:24Speaker 1: on there, so if we knew if something was happening
- 47:27Speaker 1: in Abilene, so get it. It will go off even
- 47:32Speaker 1: if your phone is on. Do not disturb. It is
- 47:35Speaker 1: a siren. I will tell you. The tornado siren will
- 47:38Speaker 1: wake you up it goes tornado, tornado, Take cover. It
- 47:43Speaker 1: is a really good app and they work directly with
- 47:47Speaker 1: the National Weather Association. To be honest, guys, I will
- 47:52Speaker 1: get alert from that app before I do the local
- 47:55Speaker 1: news stations. So it is definitely a good good app
- 48:00Speaker 1: to use and you can put it whether your want
- 48:03Speaker 1: for flooding, severe weather, hail, fire, you can choose what
- 48:09Speaker 1: you want to get because in your area you may
- 48:13Speaker 1: not need to worry about one, but need to worry
- 48:15Speaker 1: about the other. Like I never thought living here we
- 48:17Speaker 1: would need to worry about a hurricane anymore. Well, guess
- 48:20Speaker 1: what we moved in Harvey came. Harvey decided to sit over.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Everything flooded. Thank goodness, I had my app So don't
- 48:30Speaker 1: want to tell you what to do. But if you've
- 48:33Speaker 1: ever listened to me, this is a time to listen
- 48:35Speaker 1: to me. Okay, it's a time to listen to me now.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I want to thank you. Ooh my ear fallout. I
- 48:43Speaker 1: want to thank you all for joining me today for
- 48:47Speaker 1: another episode of Midday Missing. It's the missing person cases
- 48:53Speaker 1: are very close near and dear to all of our hearts.
