- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cat's. My
- 0:13Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennett. On this Wednesday, April day, stop
- 0:18Speaker 2: that April twenty second, A little bit of a cloudy day,
- 0:22Speaker 2: but it's nice out. Is it supposed to rain today?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Justin I did not think it was supposed to at all.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I let my dog out of the house this morning.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Right next thing I know, I am hearing rain drops
- 0:33Speaker 3: on my roof. Yeah, and it poured for about five minutes.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Oh it did really. Oh yeah, so okay that put
- 0:39Speaker 3: me behind. I had to sit there and dry him
- 0:41Speaker 3: off and do all the things.
- 0:43Speaker 2: But yeah, well you know you can rely on the
- 0:44Speaker 2: Big X and Just the Cats, Michael Bennett as your
- 0:47Speaker 2: ten day forecast is right here, that's right, Yeah, seventy
- 0:50Speaker 2: eight degrees sunny today, Sunday tomorrow at eighty degrees and
- 0:54Speaker 2: sixty five percent chance of rain on Friday with the
- 0:56Speaker 2: highest seventy eight. I'd be a great meteorologist, by the way.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Just let everybody else do the work and I'll just
- 1:02Speaker 2: read it. Just just make certain the content is out
- 1:05Speaker 2: there for the listeners, okay, or the viewers. If you're
- 1:08Speaker 2: on YouTube. But yeah, uh, Friday before Oaks or Friday
- 1:13Speaker 2: of Oaks is looking. Eh. We haven't seen Saturday yet though.
- 1:17Speaker 2: But next week there's a couple of chilly days. Wednesday's
- 1:20Speaker 2: little chili with sixty six degrees. Thursday, we're gonna be
- 1:23Speaker 2: cold on the backside of the with a high of
- 1:25Speaker 2: fifty seven. Yeah, not good. No, No, Monday's gonna rain.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Tuesday's gonna be seventy percent chance of rain. I uh,
- 1:34Speaker 2: I don't know. Should we go to the backside that day.
- 1:37Speaker 2: We'll see, we'll play it all by here. Yeah, well,
- 1:40Speaker 2: I mean if what does that mean? Play it by ear?
- 1:43Speaker 2: I don't. I don't want my ear leading me.
- 1:44Speaker 3: If there's one crappy day, then yeah, I say we
- 1:48Speaker 3: set it out. Really, that's all we've done in years past.
- 1:51Speaker 3: It's just not worth it.
- 1:52Speaker 2: You know. We have that uh, that guy that does
- 1:54Speaker 2: that commercial, Jim Daily Focus on the Family. Yeah. Can
- 1:59Speaker 2: I say, have never wanted to tell a person shut
- 2:01Speaker 2: up more than today? Wow? That seems actually really rude?
- 2:06Speaker 2: Does it really does? It doesn't seems rude? It does? Okay, Well,
- 2:10Speaker 2: I just why doesn't Jim just focus on himself instead
- 2:14Speaker 2: of the family. Okay, he needs to stop with his
- 2:17Speaker 2: little thirty second infomercial or whatever and just focus on yourself. Jeff,
- 2:22Speaker 2: I've got no problems with it, do you really? I'm
- 2:24Speaker 2: surprised you have such a Yeah, yeah, today I do.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I mean it's always a little creepy to me. Crumpy. No,
- 2:31Speaker 2: I'm not grumpy. Well maybe I am. You're grumpy. I
- 2:34Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess because you know, like I
- 2:37Speaker 2: told you, somebody pulled down in front of me. It
- 2:39Speaker 2: changed my entire mood. You gotta let it go. It did.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It's just it's it's getting on my nerves. Now you're
- 2:46Speaker 2: out there listening to me. I apologize. Okay, I'll do
- 2:49Speaker 2: the best I can to get into better mood. I will,
- 2:51Speaker 2: I will. I'll be positive. People don't listen to this
- 2:53Speaker 2: show to hear dal trodden. No, I'm not gonna be
- 2:55Speaker 2: down Troy. No, no, no, no, no, We're not gonna be
- 2:57Speaker 2: that way. No, We're gonna be happy. We're gonna be happy.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Go look Michael Bennett. Okay, yeah, are we on YouTube again? Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 2: so if you want to, if you want to see
- 3:05Speaker 2: grumpy Michael Bennett, you can tune in YouTube. What is
- 3:08Speaker 2: it Big X Sports Radio Louisville. How do you like that? Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'm getting that right. For some reason, I couldn't get
- 3:13Speaker 2: the number for right forever, but I finally get that
- 3:16Speaker 2: five O two three four fourteen fifty. You want to
- 3:18Speaker 2: call in five two four to one four fourteen fifty
- 3:20Speaker 2: if you want to text in on the Whiskey Thief
- 3:21Speaker 2: text line. But uh, there has been a change on
- 3:24Speaker 2: Apple iPhones. Have you noticed this? By the way, Whereas
- 3:31Speaker 2: the change is when somebody is calling you, they and
- 3:35Speaker 2: you don't have them in their car in your contact,
- 3:38Speaker 2: they have to announce their name before the phone will ring.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Have you not noticed that? You know?
- 3:46Speaker 3: I feel like I've dealt with that. There have been
- 3:49Speaker 3: people that I've called that have been like, state your
- 3:52Speaker 3: name exactly, but I I don't personally have that on
- 3:56Speaker 3: my You don't for on my phone.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Listen, I didn't put it on my phone. It wasn't
- 4:01Speaker 2: an option or anything, you know. I downloaded the latest
- 4:04Speaker 2: software for the phone like I normally do, because sometimes
- 4:09Speaker 2: there are screw ups by Apple and it makes things
- 4:12Speaker 2: change that I don't like. And then there are times
- 4:15Speaker 2: that okay, you just fix that chain that I hated.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Now there's a change that came up where I'm accepting calls, which,
- 4:22Speaker 2: like you know, I've got a couple of friends that
- 4:24Speaker 2: are coaches, and they always have no caller ID when
- 4:28Speaker 2: they call in. Well I know exactly who they are typically,
- 4:31Speaker 2: And now that person has to announce his name every
- 4:35Speaker 2: time he calls me, which makes me smile every time.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Surely you can turn that off. I'm not sure. I
- 4:43Speaker 2: don't know, but don't call me surely. So it's a
- 4:45Speaker 2: bad joke. But it's the worst bad joke. I know
- 4:48Speaker 2: it is, but that's what I think of. I think
- 4:50Speaker 2: an airplane every time I hear that joke. But I'm thinking, Okay,
- 4:54Speaker 2: there has to be something. Oh, I know why I
- 4:55Speaker 2: don't feel good. I'm on penicillin. That's why the hell's
- 4:59Speaker 2: that mean? That's why I feel funky. I guarantee you
- 5:02Speaker 2: we'll talk about that later. But uh uh yeah, I
- 5:05Speaker 2: feel like that. It's it's it's a weird move that
- 5:09Speaker 2: Apple did. Now you have to go in and actually approve,
- 5:12Speaker 2: you know, these numbers so that when they call back in,
- 5:16Speaker 2: they don't have to put their name in. That's so annoying.
- 5:18Speaker 2: It is annoying. Part of it. But on the other hand,
- 5:22Speaker 2: if it's somebody, if it's these spam calls, it's eliminating
- 5:25Speaker 2: all the spam calls I have, So that from that standpoint,
- 5:28Speaker 2: I really like it.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I would hate it, you would. My life wouldn't be
- 5:32Speaker 3: the same without the spam calls. Oh you like the
- 5:34Speaker 3: spam call. I just it's entertaining. You know, you never
- 5:37Speaker 3: know when you're gonna get one, and you just you
- 5:39Speaker 3: look down and see potential spam and yeah, oh, just
- 5:42Speaker 3: you get the satisfaction of declining it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: No, you gotta answer it all because if it's a lady,
- 5:48Speaker 2: I you know, I act like I'm interested in taking
- 5:50Speaker 2: her out in the date.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Michael, I just had my Twitter hacked. I'm not going
- 5:53Speaker 3: to answer a spam call, because what's a spam call
- 5:55Speaker 3: is going to do? If I fall for a link
- 5:57Speaker 3: on Twitter, You're.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Not going to fall for a spam call. No, you
- 6:01Speaker 2: just if it's a lady, you just say, hey, you
- 6:03Speaker 2: sound really nice. Where do you live? You want to
- 6:06Speaker 2: go out sometimes and see how long it lasts. Not
- 6:08Speaker 2: creepy at all, of course it's creepy. It's creepy of
- 6:11Speaker 2: them calling me. So I'm gonna have a little fun
- 6:14Speaker 2: with it. Why not? They're annoying me, so I'm going
- 6:17Speaker 2: to annoy him back. I don't have any issue with that.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Why do you have an issue with a spam call
- 6:22Speaker 2: and acting a little creepy back to him? I just
- 6:24Speaker 2: I don't really need to do all that. Yeah you do. No,
- 6:28Speaker 2: when you have extra time, just say, hey, this is
- 6:30Speaker 2: going to be fun. I got nobody else to talk to.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'll do it via text. But I am definitely not talking. No,
- 6:36Speaker 2: I am definitely talking with a scammer and having a
- 6:39Speaker 2: lot of fun with it. And I don't care what
- 6:41Speaker 2: sex you are out there. I'm going to be calling
- 6:43Speaker 2: and be acting interested in them. So don't call me
- 6:46Speaker 2: now and look up my phone number and annoy me
- 6:48Speaker 2: by that. I hope you get scammed. I've been scammed before,
- 6:52Speaker 2: you know the Twitter account. I hope it happens again. No,
- 6:54Speaker 2: why would you say so? I hope nobody's so open. Okay,
- 6:59Speaker 2: that's not very See who's grumpy now? I'm in a
- 7:02Speaker 2: great mood talking about scam.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I wasn't a great moon and then you came in
- 7:05Speaker 3: all downtrodden and put me in a bad I'm in
- 7:07Speaker 3: a great mood. Now it's hum thing. I don't like
- 7:10Speaker 3: doing radio with angry Michael Bennett. Oh, I'm not angry
- 7:13Speaker 3: radio of fun Michael binn I'm.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Funny'm Michael Bennett. Right now. I'm talking about, you know,
- 7:19Speaker 2: scamming back the scammers. I just would be curious what
- 7:22Speaker 2: other people do, because you know, I'm not alone. I
- 7:24Speaker 2: do like those accounts out there that have fun with
- 7:27Speaker 2: the scammers. There's one that goes back and gets the
- 7:30Speaker 2: money that they're trying to scam out of old people,
- 7:34Speaker 2: and they get into their bank accounts. They know their names,
- 7:36Speaker 2: they know where they are, and they get the money.
- 7:39Speaker 2: That part is fun I do enjoy, though sometimes they're
- 7:42Speaker 2: a little too long. Though they need to edit until
- 7:45Speaker 2: the shorter. My attention span is only thirty seconds, I do.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I worry, not daily, but at least weekly about my
- 7:55Speaker 3: grandparents with stuff like this, Yes, cause it's like if
- 7:58Speaker 3: I can't I don't have a Twitter account because I
- 8:01Speaker 3: clicked on a link. I'm thirty six years old. I
- 8:04Speaker 3: shouldn't be falling for that crap. What's my eighty year
- 8:07Speaker 3: old grandparents do it?
- 8:08Speaker 2: You know? Yeah? It worries me. I hear you because
- 8:13Speaker 2: there's I think there's only been one time that I
- 8:16Speaker 2: almost fell for one. But you know how you figure
- 8:18Speaker 2: it out. It's emails that usually get me, and you're like, oh,
- 8:22Speaker 2: this has got to be something. When it's coming from
- 8:24Speaker 2: a friend or something like that, you got to build
- 8:27Speaker 2: a pay or the tolls. That one almost got me.
- 8:32Speaker 2: But then when I look at the text are very convincing.
- 8:35Speaker 2: They are. But if you go look at the phone number,
- 8:38Speaker 2: that's the dead giveaway, either the phone number or the
- 8:42Speaker 2: email address. That is when that's when I know to
- 8:46Speaker 2: look next. If it looks convincing, then guess what. I
- 8:49Speaker 2: go look at the phone number number one, or if
- 8:51Speaker 2: it's an email, I see where it's from, and if
- 8:53Speaker 2: it's from some weird email, you know, oh this is fake.
- 8:58Speaker 2: That's how I know to get away from it. Now,
- 9:01Speaker 2: if somebody's calling in my house, you know, I have
- 9:02Speaker 2: a do nut call on my cell phone and I'll
- 9:06Speaker 2: ask them, Okay, what is the name of your company?
- 9:07Speaker 2: And I'll say perfect. You know a lot of times
- 9:10Speaker 2: they don't want to say the name of the company,
- 9:12Speaker 2: but I'll say I'm reporting you to the state of Kentucky.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I am a part of the donut call list, but
- 9:20Speaker 2: usually they don't want to say the name of the company. No, yeah, yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 2: because it's not a company. I'm getting more calls about
- 9:25Speaker 2: real estate more than anything else, and it probably isn't
- 9:28Speaker 2: the company that they're giving me. They're just outright line. Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So then I'll go to State of Kentucky donut call
- 9:35Speaker 2: and put the name of the company in. If they
- 9:37Speaker 2: give some random company name, I do it. I go
- 9:40Speaker 2: the extra mile and guess what, my calls have gone
- 9:44Speaker 2: down ever since I've done this. Maybe I should do
- 9:46Speaker 2: the same. It helps. You'll have to do State of Indiana.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I can't do Kentucky. Well, you're not a resident of Kentucky.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I assume that you your phone number is an eight
- 9:57Speaker 2: one two or a five h two. I forget too, Okay,
- 9:59Speaker 2: yeah you I.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Wouldn't stand for having a five oh two number. No really, no,
- 10:05Speaker 3: okay eight one two till I die.
- 10:08Speaker 2: That was kind of rude. Well, I'm five o two
- 10:09Speaker 2: till I die. So there you go. That's what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: that's we all grow up a certain way. I can't
- 10:14Speaker 2: have five o two, I can't have eight one two. Correct,
- 10:18Speaker 2: nothing but a bunch of toothless rednecks over there. Although, hey,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I have heard were running out of five o twos?
- 10:26Speaker 2: Is that you? Yeah? Didn't we talk about that about
- 10:30Speaker 2: a year ago? They were coming out with a new
- 10:32Speaker 2: area code. Yeah, I don't like that. I really had
- 10:36Speaker 2: a hard time when Lexington left six oh six and
- 10:39Speaker 2: became eight five to nine. I remember when that happened.
- 10:42Speaker 2: It was frustrated. It's like, okay, you're changing numbers now.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Florida's done the same way. It used to be eight
- 10:48Speaker 2: one three was my parents' home area code, and then
- 10:51Speaker 2: it changed to seven two seven. That's because Florida has
- 10:54Speaker 2: a million people. Yeah, that is true. I mean for years,
- 10:57Speaker 2: my parent's phone number was eight one three three, six
- 10:59Speaker 2: zero nine five oh three. Can you remember numbers like that,
- 11:03Speaker 2: your phone numbers from when you were growing up?
- 11:05Speaker 3: A few of them? Yeah, like the house phone I
- 11:08Speaker 3: can remember, well, yeah, my dad's number. Well, the house
- 11:12Speaker 3: number I grew up on. Well, I can't even remember
- 11:14Speaker 3: when I was in elementary school when we lived in Virginia.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Eight zero four two eight two six two five six
- 11:20Speaker 3: my house growing up here in Louisville five h zero
- 11:22Speaker 3: two two two eight four seven five five. Yeah, I
- 11:25Speaker 3: think I only remember like our house phone when I
- 11:29Speaker 3: was growing up, and then I remember my grandparents' numbers. Well,
- 11:32Speaker 3: I have to remember one of my grandma's numbers because
- 11:35Speaker 3: she's a uh retiree from Kroger. So I punched that
- 11:38Speaker 3: number in every time I go grocery shopping. Oh, really,
- 11:41Speaker 3: get a nice little ten percent off everything?
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah. See, I I don't even know my boy's cell
- 11:45Speaker 2: phone numbers. Now I don't. I don't remember as I
- 11:49Speaker 2: know my wife's cell phone numbers. So if I ever
- 11:51Speaker 2: get in trouble, I only know my wife's numbers. She
- 11:53Speaker 2: didn't answer. I'm in trouble because I couldn't tell you
- 11:56Speaker 2: what anybody. I don't know what your number is by heart.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I don't know what my boy's numbers are by heart.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I don't know nobody else's. I can probably do four
- 12:05Speaker 2: numbers by heart. Can you really better? I could do
- 12:09Speaker 2: my dad's. I still remember my mom's twenty five years later.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Well it doesn't help if you no, well exactly, So
- 12:16Speaker 2: I'm calling my wife and I'm even in bigger trouble
- 12:19Speaker 2: than forget the judge. I'm in trouble by the judge
- 12:21Speaker 2: of Patricia Bennett so uh, but no, I don't remember
- 12:24Speaker 2: anybody else's number. Yeah, she didn't answer, which most times
- 12:27Speaker 2: she doesn't answer. I'm in real trouble. I know no
- 12:29Speaker 2: one else's number. I'd say, dude, just calling you by
- 12:32Speaker 2: you one? Can I call your wife? So that would
- 12:38Speaker 2: be a big deal, all right. Uh, A lot of
- 12:40Speaker 2: big news came out yesterday. I've had a tough time
- 12:44Speaker 2: deciding which I want to talk about, and I think
- 12:50Speaker 2: really the big one because they're both related to Kentucky.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Uh yeah, yeah, well just the cats. Well that is true.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Uh but uh, I will say that I'm probably gonna
- 13:02Speaker 2: go with this one because and it goes against my
- 13:05Speaker 2: my firm beliefs of the show of not talking politics.
- 13:09Speaker 2: But something about the University of Kentucky Athletic Department came
- 13:12Speaker 2: out yesterday that I think is important. Andy Basheer came
- 13:18Speaker 2: out yesterday with a tweet and if you hadn't seen
- 13:21Speaker 2: it yet, I've retweeted it just to cat rad who
- 13:23Speaker 2: you can go look it up right there. But he said,
- 13:26Speaker 2: I am losing confidence and growing increasingly concerned with the
- 13:30Speaker 2: management and decision making as the University of Kentucky. That's
- 13:34Speaker 2: a strong sentence right there to start off. My concerns
- 13:38Speaker 2: include the creation of a new one million dollar job
- 13:40Speaker 2: that has no defined duties, and the announcement that the
- 13:43Speaker 2: new Dean of Law was the only candidate not recommended
- 13:48Speaker 2: by law school faculty. I've been told that despite previously
- 13:52Speaker 2: saying the Dean must be approved by the UK Board
- 13:55Speaker 2: of Trustees, the university has shifted now and now states
- 13:59Speaker 2: at approval is not needed. I worry that these actions
- 14:02Speaker 2: are related to certain donors pushing partisan and undo outside
- 14:06Speaker 2: influence onto the university. I hope students, faculty, trustees, in
- 14:10Speaker 2: the community attend this week's board meetings and ask the
- 14:13Speaker 2: tough questions that should be answered. All right now, my
- 14:19Speaker 2: question is is Andy Basheer a Mitch Barnhardt knucklehead? Because
- 14:27Speaker 2: that's what That's what Mitch Barnhart said. There's a few
- 14:29Speaker 2: knuckleheads that are questioning this. Do you feel like Mitch
- 14:33Speaker 2: Barnhart is now a knucklehead? I mean, I already thought
- 14:37Speaker 2: that this isn't a relationshish. I like that you said that.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I'm not gonna well, I am going to cast a
- 14:45Speaker 2: little judgment towards Andy Basher, But if you don't know,
- 14:49Speaker 2: there's a new dean within the law school at Universit Kentucky,
- 14:53Speaker 2: and they didn't vote on it, and they feel like
- 14:57Speaker 2: what has been said that one donor's suggested it and
- 15:00Speaker 2: wanted him hired, and it was done. The other part, obviously,
- 15:04Speaker 2: is towards Mitch Barnhart and no one knowing about this,
- 15:08Speaker 2: no one being allowed to ask questions, and no one
- 15:11Speaker 2: understanding what the position is that Mitch Barnhart is now
- 15:14Speaker 2: going to have. I love that he has the governor
- 15:16Speaker 2: calling him out. That's awesome. That's crazy that it's happening. Yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 2: because you know, they've been friends. Eli Capoluto and Andy
- 15:25Speaker 2: Basheer have been friends, and now that this is going on.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Because here's the other part. People don't want to talk
- 15:31Speaker 2: about this, and that's the underhanded money that they've been
- 15:35Speaker 2: receiving from JMI as well. It's like, okay, why don't
- 15:38Speaker 2: you investigate that? To everybody? But my question, Andy Basheer
- 15:42Speaker 2: is why have you taken so long? Why are you
- 15:45Speaker 2: just now doing this. I'll credit you for doing it, Andy,
- 15:49Speaker 2: but why did it take you so long? You know? Why?
- 15:54Speaker 2: Can somebody explain why it took him this long?
- 15:56Speaker 3: Maybe it's just one of those things where he had
- 15:58Speaker 3: to weigh his options. Is it worth coming out and
- 16:01Speaker 3: saying something or not.
- 16:03Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean there's probably a lot of
- 16:05Speaker 2: thought there. Here's what I think. I think one of
- 16:08Speaker 2: the donors got to Andy and said, guess what, Andy,
- 16:11Speaker 2: you need to say something about this. I think he
- 16:14Speaker 2: was influenced by donors of his campaign and UK donors.
- 16:19Speaker 2: It's like, you know, come on, Andy, I mean, I
- 16:23Speaker 2: don't have much confidence in you, but I don't want
- 16:25Speaker 2: to get into politics. Not a fan of Andy, but
- 16:30Speaker 2: it's about Tom and I'll credit you for at least
- 16:33Speaker 2: doing it. So I will do that. Because there's a
- 16:36Speaker 2: lot of people I'm criticizing him for coming out and
- 16:39Speaker 2: saying anything. It's like, why are you criticizing him? This
- 16:42Speaker 2: should be said and it should not end because people
- 16:45Speaker 2: should be allowed to ask questions about this shop. And
- 16:49Speaker 2: Eli Kapello, who now needs to resign, and Mitch Barnhardt
- 16:53Speaker 2: needs to resign immediately. They need to be gone from
- 16:57Speaker 2: the University of Kentucky. I've talked to a number of
- 17:00Speaker 2: people that support University Kentucky financially and as a fan,
- 17:05Speaker 2: and I haven't heard a single person out there in
- 17:09Speaker 2: support of either one of them.
- 17:13Speaker 3: I mean, it's tough, Like I don't really have an
- 17:15Speaker 3: opinion that they should be gone.
- 17:17Speaker 2: But why not. They're doing some underhanded things here that
- 17:24Speaker 2: nobody else is allowed to question, nobody else is allowed
- 17:27Speaker 2: to vote on. It's just been Eli Coppoluto dictating and saying, Okay,
- 17:31Speaker 2: you got this job. We're gonna give you a million
- 17:33Speaker 2: dollars a year.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I mean, look, there are some definite issues going on.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I agree with you one thousand percent, some underlying stuff
- 17:40Speaker 3: that nobody probably knows about. But I mean that's I
- 17:44Speaker 3: don't want to write it off and say that's just college.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Going on probably at every university across the country. Something
- 17:52Speaker 3: something shady is happening.
- 17:53Speaker 2: But I'm not worried about every university across the country.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I'm worried about the University Lentucky. I know you're not,
- 17:58Speaker 2: but we don't know all the specifics of it, you know. So,
- 18:03Speaker 2: I mean, I'm glad that Andy Basheer called him out
- 18:05Speaker 2: and and got his thoughts out on the situation, because
- 18:09Speaker 2: there is a lot of shady stuff going on. But
- 18:11Speaker 2: this is a public university, and yes, you're right, we
- 18:14Speaker 2: don't know any of the inside doings that have happened
- 18:17Speaker 2: because we haven't been allowed to ask. He hasn't Mitch Barnhart,
- 18:21Speaker 2: Eli cap Capoluto have not made themselves available for people
- 18:25Speaker 2: to ask them. Yes, Eli Cappoluto did some friendly interview
- 18:31Speaker 2: not too long ago. And then Mitch Barnhart, Yeah, sure,
- 18:34Speaker 2: he did that open interview at Memorial Coliseum. Nobody tried,
- 18:38Speaker 2: people tried to ask questions, and then you know, he
- 18:41Speaker 2: was interviewed by no offense to Tom Leach. And I'm
- 18:44Speaker 2: not trying to throw Tom Leach under the bus because
- 18:46Speaker 2: I really like Tom Leach. I consider Tom Leach a friend.
- 18:50Speaker 2: But Tom Leach is not gonna ask the tough question
- 18:53Speaker 2: because he works as an employee for the university. When
- 18:57Speaker 2: you're the employee, you're not gonna ask questions that could
- 19:00Speaker 2: be detrimental to your position. You need to have an
- 19:04Speaker 2: independent person.
- 19:06Speaker 3: But he doesn't work for the university, right, he would
- 19:09Speaker 3: work for JMI who.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Well yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean you're right about not
- 19:16Speaker 2: going to let him ask the tough question. Of course
- 19:18Speaker 2: not but he Okay, he works for UK indirectly, so
- 19:23Speaker 2: uh but I just uh, I look at this. It's
- 19:27Speaker 2: been a scam the end. You talk about scams, it's
- 19:29Speaker 2: been a scam the entire time. And I'm I'm just
- 19:31Speaker 2: glad finally somebody spoke out. I don't know why it
- 19:35Speaker 2: took Andy Bashier so long to come out and say something,
- 19:39Speaker 2: but credit to him for at least saying something, because
- 19:43Speaker 2: you know, there's a lot of scrutiny going towards his
- 19:45Speaker 2: way too. But again, we're not going to get into politics.
- 19:48Speaker 2: That was a bombshell yesterday when that tweet came. He
- 19:50Speaker 2: really was. I mean, whoa. My phone blew up and Michael,
- 19:56Speaker 2: did you see have you been on Twitter? And I
- 19:58Speaker 2: hadn't been on Twitter all day, so I had to
- 20:00Speaker 2: stop what I was doing. And all of a sudden,
- 20:03Speaker 2: I'm looking down and Oscar Combs has called me four
- 20:06Speaker 2: times and I'm like, I, yeah, something's up, miss something. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 2: something's up. So I called it back. He goes, have
- 20:13Speaker 2: you been on Twitter? And then I, you know, I
- 20:15Speaker 2: had all these other phone calls? Have you been on Twitter?
- 20:18Speaker 2: And it's like, oh my gosh, man, So yeah, because
- 20:21Speaker 2: I don't really follow Andy, I might have blocked him.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I had to unblock and go read what he had
- 20:28Speaker 2: to say, so anyway, is that terrible to me to
- 20:31Speaker 2: I'll mute him, that's fine. Yeah, I'm just not interested
- 20:33Speaker 2: in his Uh yeah, then why do you even follow up?
- 20:36Speaker 2: I'm not following him. Then how do you see his stuff?
- 20:39Speaker 2: I don't. I had to go unblock him to go
- 20:41Speaker 2: see it. See. I block all politics. I don't care
- 20:45Speaker 2: what side you're on. I block it all. If they're
- 20:47Speaker 2: not so that I'm confused. So on Twitter, they're not
- 20:51Speaker 2: following him, then you shouldn't see his stuff. I wouldn't
- 20:54Speaker 2: have seen it exactly, but I had everybody telling me
- 20:56Speaker 2: to go read it. So I had to go unblock
- 20:58Speaker 2: him on Twitter. Oh why do you have it locked
- 21:00Speaker 2: in the first place? If you don't follow him, you're
- 21:02Speaker 2: not gonna see his tweets? Yeah, I am, because people
- 21:04Speaker 2: will bag Oh yeah yeah yeah, and you know, and
- 21:08Speaker 2: it's not just one side. I block both sides. I
- 21:11Speaker 2: just I don't want anything to do with politics in general.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I have no interest in it. Just it's too divisive.
- 21:18Speaker 2: So even for people I support, I block them. I'm
- 21:21Speaker 2: just not interested. You're laughing at me. You're just an
- 21:25Speaker 2: interesting cat? Why is that interesting? You're just all right? Well,
- 21:30Speaker 2: we're gonna take a break. I can't make sense of it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Nobody can listen. I look in the mirror and every
- 21:35Speaker 2: day and I say, I can't make sense of Michael Bennett. Okay, Uh,
- 21:38Speaker 2: but that's that's who I am. All right, I'm not Popeye,
- 21:41Speaker 2: but I am who I am. But anyway, uh, let
- 21:44Speaker 2: me let me take a break. Follow two three eight
- 21:46Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. If you want to call in follow
- 21:48Speaker 2: two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Uh.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, the text line is just blown up. So we'll
- 21:53Speaker 2: get to your text as soon as we get back.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Or you can tweet me at just the Cat Radio.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I won't block, yeah, I promise you can. You can
- 22:00Speaker 2: be on there, but we'll have some fun. Stay right there.
- 22:03Speaker 2: A lot more just CAATs coming out.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Sop up your mind, see open up your present, damn
- 22:13Speaker 4: Unlet you get to your hall and you will find it.
- 22:15Speaker 2: The sky is it's so please don't please don't, please don't.
- 22:21Speaker 2: There's no naked to go.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Okay, because cleaving show this this so this is all bad.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Andreas hair is always mans cats stealing, she won't cook pens,
- 22:39Speaker 4: she's beautiful, smokes pecked day. You wait, that's me even anyway.
- 22:46Speaker 4: She doesn't care a thing about that. She thinks something
- 22:50Speaker 4: beautiful meet you.
- 23:03Speaker 2: She knew two three four fourteen fifty. If you want
- 23:06Speaker 2: to call in five two fourteen fifty, I hate for
- 23:09Speaker 2: you to turn that down, But I like that song
- 23:10Speaker 2: right there. That's a good train song. By the way,
- 23:12Speaker 2: Pet Monahey, that's right. Yeah, Uh, it's well, I'm thinking
- 23:20Speaker 2: of j Monaghan. Yeah yeah. But if you want to
- 23:24Speaker 2: Texas on the Whiskey Thief text, I'm not get back
- 23:26Speaker 2: to those in just a couple of minutes. But uh.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Big news out of Chicago yesterday Billy Donovan leaving the
- 23:32Speaker 2: Bulls after six seasons. Yep. Do you get the idea
- 23:38Speaker 2: that he had zero interest in taking the North Carolina job?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Is that your impression, because I will tell you that's
- 23:47Speaker 2: the first thing I thought of. If he was truly
- 23:50Speaker 2: interested in becoming the head coach of the Tar Hills,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you think he would have said, listen, guys, just let
- 23:56Speaker 2: me finish out the year. It'll be okay. I promise
- 23:58Speaker 2: you we'll be able to get some players in there.
- 24:00Speaker 2: But I'm not going to quit until the season's over,
- 24:02Speaker 2: and we're not going to announce it.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I don't think that's the case at all. I just
- 24:06Speaker 3: really with the timing of everything, it was kind of impossible, right.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I mean, if you obviously, if you're North Carolina, you
- 24:14Speaker 3: want Billy Donovan to take the job two weeks ago,
- 24:16Speaker 3: so he has that two weeks to build a roster.
- 24:19Speaker 3: But on the other side of things, if you're Billy Donovan,
- 24:22Speaker 3: there's a certain level of professionalism that you want to
- 24:25Speaker 3: carry throughout your career, and you're not just gonna walk
- 24:28Speaker 3: away from a job before the season's reached its conclusion.
- 24:32Speaker 2: So North Carolina made a mistake.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I'm not saying that. I mean I am now. I
- 24:39Speaker 3: did talk about it on my show this morning. If
- 24:41Speaker 3: I would have rather had Billy Donovan over Michael Malone, yeah,
- 24:45Speaker 3: I probably would have.
- 24:46Speaker 2: But Michael Malone's done with the transport portal, He's done
- 24:51Speaker 2: absolutely zero. I mean, yeah, he's gotten maybe what one
- 24:54Speaker 2: or two players, but they're nothing of significance.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I mean, it may work out with Mike Malone. I
- 25:00Speaker 3: have no idea, but I would have much rather had
- 25:03Speaker 3: Billy Donovan. But yeah, I just think the timing of
- 25:05Speaker 3: everything was so wonky that it just wasn't a possibility.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Now, they're already just as of yesterday, less than twenty
- 25:12Speaker 2: four hours of this announcement, he's already been linked to
- 25:17Speaker 2: the University of Kentucky. That's cute, That's cute. Why are
- 25:26Speaker 2: you saying that that way?
- 25:28Speaker 3: I mean, is that not the most disrespectful thing that
- 25:32Speaker 3: happened for Mark Pope?
- 25:34Speaker 2: It is, but it's Matt Orlander that's saying. A few
- 25:37Speaker 2: people have already said from CBS Sports that you know,
- 25:40Speaker 2: he's being linked to the Universe of Kentucky job.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Look as someone who criticized Mark Stoops all of last
- 25:47Speaker 3: year saying that he had to go talking about Billy
- 25:51Speaker 3: Donovan potentially taking over for Mark Pope when Pope still
- 25:56Speaker 3: has this job for at least another eleven months, and
- 25:59Speaker 3: who knows, maybe a ends up being longer, maybe overachieves
- 26:02Speaker 3: with this team coming in and they make a deep
- 26:04Speaker 3: run into the tournament, then you're bringing all this up
- 26:07Speaker 3: for what.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Well, A lot of people want the glory days of
- 26:11Speaker 2: Rick Patino back. Those were fun days, and they feel
- 26:16Speaker 2: like Billy Donovan can bring back that as they used
- 26:19Speaker 2: to call it, which I never liked this comparison. They
- 26:22Speaker 2: called it camelot. I never liked that even Rick Pattino
- 26:25Speaker 2: will say, yeah, those were the camelot days. It's like, oh,
- 26:27Speaker 2: please stop. It sounds so cheesy, but they feel like
- 26:31Speaker 2: that Billy Donovan could do it now. That's not a
- 26:33Speaker 2: guarantee though he didn't.
- 26:35Speaker 3: None of the way that college basketball operates now was
- 26:38Speaker 3: operating like this when he was a coach. So much
- 26:41Speaker 3: has changed. So it's not a guarantee that he comes
- 26:44Speaker 3: back into the college scene and falls right back into
- 26:47Speaker 3: being a damn good coach and recruits and does all
- 26:50Speaker 3: this and that. And I just I don't think that's
- 26:53Speaker 3: a guarantee.
- 26:54Speaker 2: It's not, but it's awfully tempting. I will say that.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And you're right, We've got to give Mark Pope another
- 27:02Speaker 2: year before we say anything about that. But man, if
- 27:06Speaker 2: it doesn't work out, I would be very open to
- 27:12Speaker 2: him joining UK if if you know, a lot of
- 27:15Speaker 2: people claim that Rick Patino kept him from taking it
- 27:18Speaker 2: the last time, that when Tubby Smith took over, when
- 27:21Speaker 2: Billy Killispie took over, Uh, they didn't. Rick Patino did
- 27:25Speaker 2: not want him going back to you or going to UK.
- 27:29Speaker 2: All right, Well, Rick Patino's not a UK anymore, so
- 27:31Speaker 2: he shouldn't have so much power. No, and now he's
- 27:36Speaker 2: keeping players from coming to UK. So anyway, what if
- 27:39Speaker 2: that's a good thing? Though?
- 27:41Speaker 3: What if he took Donnie Freeman? I heard this yesterday.
- 27:44Speaker 3: What if he took Donnie Freeman to save Mark Pope
- 27:47Speaker 3: because he knew Donnie Freeman wouldn't work out in Lexington.
- 27:53Speaker 2: It's a lot of interesting behind the scenes. I know
- 27:55Speaker 2: there is, and I know a lot of people talking
- 27:58Speaker 2: about the that he's prone to injury and all that
- 28:01Speaker 2: kind of stuff, and that that's an you know, we
- 28:03Speaker 2: can't have it to where it's another you know, jqu
- 28:06Speaker 2: situation at UK. So uh, I know, I get it.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I'm right there with you. I mean, let's play Devil's advocate.
- 28:15Speaker 2: If he'd come to you, If Donnie Freeman had come
- 28:17Speaker 2: to UK and played and then continue to have all
- 28:22Speaker 2: kinds of injuries, fans are gonna get frustrated, exactly. And
- 28:26Speaker 2: yet they you know, two weeks ago, they didn't know
- 28:29Speaker 2: who Donnie Freeman was. I didn't know who Donnie Freeman was.
- 28:32Speaker 2: But I'm like, okay, this is great. He seems like
- 28:34Speaker 2: he'd be a great fit. Comes here, We're in great shape,
- 28:38Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna make a Final four and then
- 28:41Speaker 2: he has injury issues. I mean, you're right, I mean
- 28:44Speaker 2: they're always is, but you know you can have that
- 28:46Speaker 2: with a healthy player too, sure, right, yeah, Jayden low
- 28:49Speaker 2: healthy shoulder injury anyway, All right, Yeah, don't don't get
- 28:54Speaker 2: me started on that kind of stuff. But I just
- 28:56Speaker 2: I found it interesting that people were already and you're right,
- 29:00Speaker 2: it is disrespectful to link Billy Donovan to UK, but
- 29:05Speaker 2: it does make sense. It just you know, his assistant
- 29:08Speaker 2: coach at UK under Rick Patino. And yes, time has passed,
- 29:13Speaker 2: but I think that if, if, and when, All right,
- 29:16Speaker 2: let's just say, for instance, if the U of L
- 29:19Speaker 2: job or the Tennessee job became open. Neither of them
- 29:22Speaker 2: are open, but I would not like Billy Donovan going
- 29:25Speaker 2: to those schools. I would not like Billy Donovan going
- 29:27Speaker 2: to IU because you know, you're right, he's been out
- 29:31Speaker 2: of it for a while. But a coach is a coach.
- 29:34Speaker 2: And he's won two titles, even though it's been a
- 29:37Speaker 2: little while, and I would be a little nervous that
- 29:41Speaker 2: he would be going to one of the places I
- 29:43Speaker 2: wouldn't want him to go.
- 29:45Speaker 3: He's won two titles with twenty percent of the responsibility
- 29:48Speaker 3: that he would have.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Now. Yeah, but he might be the smart one. Say,
- 29:51Speaker 2: you know what, I'm getting a GM. He's already been
- 29:53Speaker 2: in the NBA where he's worked with gms. Why not
- 29:56Speaker 2: bring his former GM to Kentucky or whatever school he's
- 29:59Speaker 2: going to go to and you're you're running it like
- 30:03Speaker 2: an NBA team. I kind of like that aspect because
- 30:06Speaker 2: you know, there's a lot of people talking about Todd
- 30:08Speaker 2: Golden from Florida heading out to the Warriors and taking
- 30:13Speaker 2: that job. Todd Golden at University of Florida is the
- 30:16Speaker 2: hottest name right now for the next NBA job, and
- 30:20Speaker 2: he's being mentioned for a lot of them. What if
- 30:23Speaker 2: he took that and then Billy Donovan goes back to
- 30:25Speaker 2: foot Why wouldn't he take it? Bob?
- 30:27Speaker 3: He's had so much success at Florida and in the
- 30:30Speaker 3: limited time he's been there, it just it wouldn't make sense.
- 30:32Speaker 2: And also sure would make sense. Are you kidding me?
- 30:35Speaker 2: And make all the sense of the world. I mean,
- 30:37Speaker 2: their ego gets the best of you. You think you
- 30:40Speaker 2: can succeed at every level, and you want to try,
- 30:43Speaker 2: so that's why you want to get to the next
- 30:45Speaker 2: level and let me see if I can succeed. I
- 30:47Speaker 2: can always come back to college.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Here's the thing about the NBA and what I would
- 30:50Speaker 3: worry about with Billy Donovan. Okay, you don't have to
- 30:53Speaker 3: coach in the NBA, not never, correct, not nearly as
- 30:58Speaker 3: much as you have to in college. So Billy Donovan's
- 31:01Speaker 3: just been sitting on the sidelines for six years letting
- 31:04Speaker 3: these guys run the offense and defense. Whereas when you
- 31:08Speaker 3: get back into college game, you have to coach. So
- 31:12Speaker 3: you don't thought I would worry. You don't think that
- 31:15Speaker 3: managing a team in college would work. It's more coaching
- 31:21Speaker 3: than it is managing. Correct, you bring that kind of
- 31:25Speaker 3: style to college basket NBA, you're just managing egos and
- 31:28Speaker 3: you just you trust that those guys know what they're
- 31:30Speaker 3: going out and there and doing because they've been playing
- 31:32Speaker 3: basketball for years and years, whereas these college kids they're
- 31:36Speaker 3: still trying to figure all that stuff out.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but they've been playing for years and years. They're
- 31:40Speaker 2: playing fifty five days a year, so why not hold on?
- 31:44Speaker 2: Why not bring that style of basketball. They're bringing the
- 31:47Speaker 2: offensive style back to college, they're bringing the defensive style
- 31:50Speaker 2: back to college. I think it could succeed if somebody try.
- 31:54Speaker 3: I don't because you need special players like Cooper Flag
- 31:57Speaker 3: that have yeah, ridiculously high IQ. But you're not gonna
- 32:00Speaker 3: ever have a team full of those guys.
- 32:03Speaker 2: John CALIPERI would have a team full of those Yeah,
- 32:06Speaker 2: they've all seventeen years old and gonna make dumb mistakes.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I know. But you know what, you can get a
- 32:11Speaker 2: team full of those from the transfer portal and guess what,
- 32:13Speaker 2: it's working. We gotta take a break. Our two coming up.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Send me those texts fable two three four fourteen fifty
- 32:19Speaker 2: five two four one four fourteen fifty. We'll see him
- 32:22Speaker 2: in This is Just a Cat Real.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Queen Dannisol's allegas Mama marks on Carba Ras Brothers a
- 32:33Speaker 4: fine media.
- 32:36Speaker 2: President.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Yes she is again on phone just like me, studio.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 32:54Speaker 2: All right now number two on this Thursday. If you
- 32:57Speaker 2: want to call in Wednesday? Did I say Thursday?
- 33:00Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 33:00Speaker 2: I totally did. I know I did. On this I'm
- 33:02Speaker 2: wishing my life away. I wish it was Thursday. But uh,
- 33:06Speaker 2: if you I don't even know what I was saying.
- 33:07Speaker 2: If you want to text us on this Wedursday. Yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 2: you can do it at five O two three four
- 33:12Speaker 2: four no four one four fourteen fifteen text I'll get
- 33:15Speaker 2: it right and minute. I'm totally blown off. If you
- 33:19Speaker 2: want to call it in five O two three four
- 33:20Speaker 2: fourteen fifteen, tweet me just cat radio. Uh what you
- 33:23Speaker 2: know a lot of people are going nuts yesterday because
- 33:26Speaker 2: of Tyrone Stokes tweeting out the three schools Oregon, Kansas, Kentucky.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Why is he tweeting that out? We all know that's
- 33:36Speaker 2: his three Yeah, well why by responding all of a sudden,
- 33:40Speaker 2: well where did Oregon come from? He's been He's included
- 33:43Speaker 2: Oregon since last year. Yeah, so what's the big surprise.
- 33:48Speaker 2: People are writing posts and people are tweeting where did Oregon? Well,
- 33:52Speaker 2: Organ's been in there. Let me let me make a point.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Oregon has been in there the mix the entire time.
- 33:59Speaker 2: It's been the big boys that have said, well, there
- 34:02Speaker 2: are only two schools that are in the lead, Kentucky
- 34:05Speaker 2: and Kansas. Well, it was Kentucky forever and then Kansas
- 34:09Speaker 2: took over. And now a lot of people say, ain't
- 34:12Speaker 2: Organs take it over now at this point? And so
- 34:15Speaker 2: don't be surprised if he commits to Oregon. I would
- 34:20Speaker 2: love it. Okay, I'm glad you'd love it. I love it. Okay,
- 34:24Speaker 2: this is a UK show. Don't say something like that.
- 34:27Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say that on your show. I don't
- 34:29Speaker 2: say it on Just the Cat. I'm just so tired
- 34:32Speaker 2: of this whole diary on him. I just think for
- 34:36Speaker 2: drama purposes, it would be the absolute best if he
- 34:38Speaker 2: went to or what do you think it is? Is
- 34:41Speaker 2: it attention? Or is he is he trying to get
- 34:45Speaker 2: something out of one of the schools? Is it is
- 34:49Speaker 2: he trying to get more money? What do you honestly
- 34:53Speaker 2: take all the bias out, because you and I definitely
- 34:56Speaker 2: have a bias where we're sick of this whole recruitment.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Take that away. What do you think the main culprit
- 35:03Speaker 2: is on him taking so long to make a decision.
- 35:07Speaker 3: I would say twenty five percent attention, Yeah, sixty five
- 35:14Speaker 3: percent wanting to see how the rosters shake up, and
- 35:19Speaker 3: then ten percent money.
- 35:20Speaker 2: And see if that is the case. Because I don't
- 35:22Speaker 2: necessarily disagree with you. If that is the case, he's
- 35:27Speaker 2: only hurting himself and the team he's going to commit to.
- 35:32Speaker 2: If he had committed before the portal had opened up.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Don't you think a lot of those players would have
- 35:40Speaker 2: committed with him instead of well I can't wait. I mean,
- 35:43Speaker 2: I got this money here, and if I don't take this,
- 35:46Speaker 2: this not contract, but if I don't take this opening
- 35:53Speaker 2: at a school, I might lose out because the school's
- 35:56Speaker 2: telling me, listen, we've got these players. You want it
- 35:58Speaker 2: or not. We need to know in such such time period.
- 36:00Speaker 2: If you don't take it, we're going to the next one.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but then he's potentially playing with guys he doesn't
- 36:05Speaker 3: want to play with, Whereas the way he's doing it now,
- 36:08Speaker 3: he's letting these rosters set up and then he'll look
- 36:11Speaker 3: into him and see, well, who would be the most fun.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Group to play with? Yeah, well it's.
- 36:17Speaker 3: All about Tyron. Yeah, Tyrone's all about Tyron. If there's
- 36:21Speaker 3: anything I've learned through this recruitment, kids about as selfish
- 36:25Speaker 3: as a kid.
- 36:25Speaker 2: And if that's the case, you really want to player
- 36:27Speaker 2: like that on your team, then that thing, yeah is
- 36:31Speaker 2: remember what Shaquille O'Neil said to Kobe Bryant. There's no
- 36:35Speaker 2: I in team though, Oh, don't say that far. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 2: but yeah, I I I just make a decision. I mean,
- 36:49Speaker 2: this is ridiculous. I'm sorr ready for it to be over.
- 36:52Speaker 2: People have been asking, well, when does he have to
- 36:54Speaker 2: make a decision. Well, he doesn't have to make a
- 36:56Speaker 2: decision until school starts. Now, I think that's a mistake.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Teams want their players in place by the end of May,
- 37:03Speaker 2: isn't it that?
- 37:04Speaker 3: Yeah, especially now that you can do all these over trips,
- 37:07Speaker 3: right overseas trips every year. Yeah, it's you'd want him
- 37:10Speaker 3: to be a part of it, And now I think
- 37:11Speaker 3: I think he will be. I don't think he'll hold
- 37:14Speaker 3: out to like the middle of summer, but I'm with.
- 37:17Speaker 2: You, he might hold out to that. Yeah. I don't
- 37:21Speaker 2: know if you saw it or not, but BYU men's
- 37:23Speaker 2: basketball put up a post yesterday with a picture of
- 37:27Speaker 2: Robert Wright and you know, the the guard that UK
- 37:31Speaker 2: was really wanted to get, thought they had and ultimately
- 37:34Speaker 2: he decided to go back to BYU because he took
- 37:39Speaker 2: him to Did you see Yeah, Okay, did you see
- 37:42Speaker 2: the picture that they put up that they posted. No,
- 37:44Speaker 2: here's the caption. It's it's him hugging the coach saying, ultimately,
- 37:49Speaker 2: I just wanted to play for Kentucky. This is BYU
- 37:54Speaker 2: putting this out and it's in big words. And then
- 37:58Speaker 2: underneath that, I didn't think I wanted to play for
- 38:00Speaker 2: another coach. That's really confusing. Ultimately, I just wanted to
- 38:06Speaker 2: play for Kentucky. I didn't think I wanted to play
- 38:09Speaker 2: for another coach. That doesn't make any sense. It makes
- 38:12Speaker 2: zero sense. So I'm assuming what he means is I
- 38:16Speaker 2: only went to Kentucky to look at it because of
- 38:18Speaker 2: the fact I've always wanted to play for UK, you know, historic,
- 38:24Speaker 2: historically successful university in basketball. So but he said, it's
- 38:29Speaker 2: not the coach that I wanted to play for. I
- 38:31Speaker 2: want to play for the coach I'm playing for now
- 38:33Speaker 2: at b YU. So you're telling me if the BYU
- 38:35Speaker 2: coach was at Kentucky, he would have gone, Yeah, it's
- 38:38Speaker 2: a weird, weird tweet. I mean, it's it's so confusing
- 38:43Speaker 2: to me. It's like, why would BYU, of all places
- 38:46Speaker 2: put that up. Is it a knock towards Mark Pope?
- 38:50Speaker 2: I'd say, yeah, a little bit, A little bit, yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 2: I mean that's that they're kind of throwing some shade. No,
- 38:57Speaker 2: it's not, but it's a knock you grow close to
- 38:59Speaker 2: the coach. I get that. Yeah. Well I just I
- 39:04Speaker 2: looked at that and I thought that's a weird thing
- 39:06Speaker 2: to put up there. But uh, anyway, I thought I
- 39:10Speaker 2: would just mention that for a minute, more of a
- 39:13Speaker 2: knock on Kentucky than Mark Pope. No, I think it's
- 39:15Speaker 2: more of a knock on Mark Pope because that's her
- 39:18Speaker 2: former coach. I think it's directed towards Mark. Rob Wright
- 39:22Speaker 2: never played for Mark Pope, did he? Well, isn't he
- 39:25Speaker 2: gonna be this year? Yeah? But he was probably recruiting him.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Maybe so. Mike Davis, former North Carolina coach, got hired yesterday.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Did you see that? No, Mississippi Valley State is who
- 39:38Speaker 2: picked him up. Oh my god. Yeah. And they they
- 39:41Speaker 2: they were bragging about all his record and stuff. His
- 39:44Speaker 2: record is for twelve over three sixty with a win
- 39:48Speaker 2: percentage of fifty three percent. I'm like, I don't know
- 39:50Speaker 2: if I'd be bragging about that, but but you know,
- 39:53Speaker 2: the Delta Devils were boasting that yesterday. You like that
- 39:57Speaker 2: the Delta Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. Great mascot. I
- 40:03Speaker 2: don't know if I've ever seen it before.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Is it really great? Mascot Delta Devils. I mean, I
- 40:08Speaker 3: don't know if I've seen their mascot either, but I
- 40:10Speaker 3: like the like the name.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, all right, then let's talk about their Cincinnati Reds,
- 40:15Speaker 2: your team. Yeah, whoa, how you feeling about.
- 40:19Speaker 3: That red freaking hot baby? Yeah, I am loving life
- 40:24Speaker 3: right now. They have the best start that they've had
- 40:27Speaker 3: since two thousand and six. Oh by the way, they
- 40:29Speaker 3: are last place in the Major League Baseball and batting
- 40:31Speaker 3: average six is that sixteen and eight?
- 40:35Speaker 2: How does that happen? I'm all, there's sixteen and eight.
- 40:40Speaker 3: All I'm saying is when these guys start hitting like
- 40:42Speaker 3: you saw last night.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yeah, oh okay, watch out. Yeah, I know I'm feeling great.
- 40:47Speaker 2: I was happy, but on the other hand, I was
- 40:49Speaker 2: kind of sad because it just made it suck for
- 40:52Speaker 2: my team. At least they let him back in it
- 40:54Speaker 2: in the ninth ending. Yeah, okay, thanks, could have been
- 40:58Speaker 2: a ten, ten run win. Instead it was all yeah, okay, thanks,
- 41:02Speaker 2: thank you very much. But listen, here's how I look
- 41:05Speaker 2: at it. If the Reds are at Tampa Bay, I
- 41:09Speaker 2: root for Tampa Bay. If the Rays are up in Cincinnati,
- 41:12Speaker 2: I root for Cincinnati. But since the Rays have been
- 41:16Speaker 2: hosting Sincena. I've been rooting for the Rays and they
- 41:18Speaker 2: just all of a sudden suck and they had the
- 41:21Speaker 2: best record in American League until the Red scheme down there.
- 41:27Speaker 2: How long do you think this lasts for the Reds?
- 41:30Speaker 2: Do you think you think this can last the entire
- 41:32Speaker 2: season or you think really I do. Yeah, they're confident.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Their roster is just so young that these guys they're
- 41:43Speaker 2: not thinking about what they have to do every day.
- 41:45Speaker 2: They're going out there and they're playing baseball. And a
- 41:48Speaker 2: lot of times when you.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Got guys that just go out there and play, that
- 41:52Speaker 3: leads to a lot of success. And that's what you're
- 41:54Speaker 3: seeing how the Reds so far, pitching has been incredible.
- 41:57Speaker 3: In years past, the pitching has been awful. Oh and
- 42:00Speaker 3: you don't have two of your top pitchers that are
- 42:03Speaker 3: out due to injury with Hunter Green and Nicolodolo. So yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 3: I don't. I mean, I don't have any reason to
- 42:08Speaker 3: think this doesn't keep going.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I that would be fun if they could get
- 42:13Speaker 2: to the playoffs and go beyond just the the initial
- 42:18Speaker 2: play in game A. Cincinnati in the region would be
- 42:22Speaker 2: going nuts for Cincinnati Reds face.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It's been a long time since I've seen the Reds
- 42:26Speaker 3: win a postseason division or postseason playoff.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I agree, series, Yeah, it's been a long time, and
- 42:33Speaker 2: it's time they do something, Okay, because I know we've
- 42:35Speaker 2: always you've made fun of management up there and well
- 42:39Speaker 2: not management ownership, because ownership is for some reason so
- 42:43Speaker 2: cheap up there or has been awesome. Terry Francona is
- 42:47Speaker 2: the man. I like Terry Francona. You know, he was
- 42:50Speaker 2: famously at Boston. They fired him, is that right? They
- 42:54Speaker 2: fired him, he goes to Cleveland and now he's at Cincinnati.
- 42:58Speaker 2: I'm a big fan of Terry franco I'd love to
- 43:01Speaker 2: meet that guy. I don't know how we could ever
- 43:03Speaker 2: do it, but that would be fun to meet him. Yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 2: I just say, man, I hated you with the Red Sox,
- 43:09Speaker 2: but I love you now. You think that would be
- 43:12Speaker 2: a good somebody that would be positively responding if I
- 43:16Speaker 2: said something like that, I hated you there, but yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 2: he would just laughing off. Yeah. I think so too.
- 43:21Speaker 2: But yeah, I'm a big fan of Terry Francona. I
- 43:23Speaker 2: hope he does it. Did you see what?
- 43:25Speaker 4: Uh?
- 43:25Speaker 2: Tyler Stevenson, the Reds catcher, did to Terry Francona. No
- 43:29Speaker 2: with the speedos. No, I did not so.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Terry Francona apparently every day he swims laps like that's
- 43:37Speaker 3: his form of exercise. He just goes to the pool
- 43:40Speaker 3: and swim.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Please don't tell me he's wearing speedos. No, okay, good.
- 43:43Speaker 3: But Tyler Stevenson, as a joke, told Terry Francona that
- 43:49Speaker 3: he wanted help with swimming. So he shows up. Tyler
- 43:53Speaker 3: Stevenson does in a speedo with Terry Francona's face all over.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Oh no, that is so gross. Was it was it
- 44:06Speaker 2: perfectly positioned?
- 44:07Speaker 3: Well no, so he it was just like little faces
- 44:10Speaker 3: all over the speedo. But then he handed up giving
- 44:13Speaker 3: it to Francona. He hung it in his office. Oh
- 44:15Speaker 3: my god, hopefully they were washed. Okay, I I don't
- 44:20Speaker 3: want any remnants of another baseball player that was wearing
- 44:23Speaker 3: those before. But yeah, that's that's hilarious. I do like that.
- 44:26Speaker 2: No, I had not heard that, and usually I get
- 44:28Speaker 2: those kind of stories that that's a good one right there.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I laughed. That's all that last week. You should uh
- 44:33Speaker 2: sick with baseball. Unfortunately, UK Baseball did not have a
- 44:36Speaker 2: good night last night. Did you go? No, I didn't go.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Uh but but yeah, you know, I hadn't been more
- 44:44Speaker 2: around my wife lately that much, the last couple of months,
- 44:46Speaker 2: since we got back from our big trip, and she
- 44:50Speaker 2: just got back in town last night. I figured I'd
- 44:51Speaker 2: better stay with her for a little while. So, yeah,
- 44:54Speaker 2: it was, it was. It was not a good UK
- 44:56Speaker 2: lost to u of L fourteen to eleven. And here's
- 44:59Speaker 2: the problem. Fourteen ten, wasn't it? I had eleven? But
- 45:03Speaker 2: it doesn't matter semantics. At this point. UK loss is
- 45:07Speaker 2: a loss. Yeah, well it is exactly. And here's the
- 45:09Speaker 2: other bad part. UK pitching. Are you ready for this?
- 45:13Speaker 2: The first they had fourteen walks. Pitching is a real
- 45:21Speaker 2: issue with UK baseball right now. What happened? It was
- 45:24Speaker 2: so good at the beginning of the year. Fourteen batters
- 45:27Speaker 2: were walked in three eras in three innings. Man, that's
- 45:32Speaker 2: really bad. And the game that lasted. Not only that,
- 45:35Speaker 2: here's the other bad part. The game lasted over four hours.
- 45:38Speaker 2: What yeah? Yeah, So now UK has lost five of
- 45:43Speaker 2: its last seven games. I mean, justin this, I mean it,
- 45:48Speaker 2: just simply put, this is not looking good. No, it's not.
- 45:52Speaker 3: But I mean I still think and I talked about
- 45:54Speaker 3: it a little bit on my show this morning, but
- 45:56Speaker 3: it if as long as you can go five hundred
- 45:58Speaker 3: and SEC, I don't think you're in a spot where
- 46:01Speaker 3: you'll miss the tournament. Their what twenty six and thirteen now,
- 46:05Speaker 3: I think, Yeah, it's still a respectable record. Yeah, but
- 46:08Speaker 3: you've got to start winning some games in conference. You
- 46:10Speaker 3: got to start winning some home series. That's the other
- 46:13Speaker 3: big thing, because you know, the heat of the conference
- 46:15Speaker 3: is coming right are Yeah, the conference play is coming
- 46:18Speaker 3: right now. And the fact that they continue to lose
- 46:22Speaker 3: at home in Kentucky Park series after series, it's that's bad.
- 46:27Speaker 3: And yeah, if they want to make a deep run
- 46:29Speaker 3: in the SEC, they want to try and make the
- 46:32Speaker 3: College World Series playoffs and play in postseason, it's time
- 46:36Speaker 3: to change that. And something is really off with the pitching,
- 46:41Speaker 3: and it's it's not just last night, it's been the
- 46:43Speaker 3: entire year. Yeah, pitching has been horrendous. So maybe Nick
- 46:48Speaker 3: mn Jalen in the off season needs to look at
- 46:50Speaker 3: a brand new pitching coach. Now it's not working out.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Matt Well, that's the other comment.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, you know It's funny you bring that up
- 46:58Speaker 2: because Matt Ponitowski I was saying yesterday, it's you know,
- 47:01Speaker 2: it's football or baseball. One is A one is B.
- 47:04Speaker 2: It's gonna be interesting to see if how high up
- 47:07Speaker 2: he gets drafted. I still think he comes to Kentucky.
- 47:10Speaker 2: But wouldn't it be fun if he did go and
- 47:13Speaker 2: and uh will Stein allows him to do some pitching
- 47:15Speaker 2: for the UK baseball team, because yeah, more times than not,
- 47:19Speaker 2: a quarterback is a really good pitcher in high school
- 47:22Speaker 2: and that that can turn into good pitching in college.
- 47:25Speaker 3: For sure, that would be fun. Yeah, if kids want
- 47:28Speaker 3: to play two sports, let him play two sports. That's
- 47:31Speaker 3: my mind.
- 47:32Speaker 2: So I mean you're only talking about a couple of
- 47:34Speaker 2: weeks the spring football practice. Well that's your starting quarterback though, potentially,
- 47:39Speaker 2: do you still let your starting quarterback maybe miss some
- 47:44Speaker 2: football practice because of baseball? I would, would you? Really?
- 47:49Speaker 2: So if Mendoza, if Fernando goes uh and says, you
- 47:53Speaker 2: know what, I want to play a little baseball. By
- 47:56Speaker 2: the way he threw out the first pitch last night
- 47:58Speaker 2: probably was a strike. It was terrible. Oh my gosh,
- 48:01Speaker 2: you looked like John Wall out there. I don't understand
- 48:05Speaker 2: how a football player, a basketball player great ones cannot
- 48:09Speaker 2: throw the baseball. Oh he looked ridiculous. No it was.
- 48:13Speaker 2: It was a horrible throw anyway, all right, Uh, I
- 48:17Speaker 2: do want to talk about this before we go, because
- 48:19Speaker 2: I do before we go to break. But pull the
- 48:23Speaker 2: video up and watch it. I've got you totally distracted
- 48:26Speaker 2: on that. You can listen and do other things. I
- 48:28Speaker 2: know you can. I've told you multiple times. I know
- 48:30Speaker 2: it will tell me multiple one one. Okay, I'm good
- 48:32Speaker 2: at multiple time. I don't know if you saw this
- 48:35Speaker 2: or not. But Steve Smith, Stephen A. Smith, but I
- 48:38Speaker 2: like to call aka Steve Smith. He announced yesterday that
- 48:43Speaker 2: NASCAR in an interview that NASCAR drivers and golfers are
- 48:47Speaker 2: not athletes. Here we go, you might enjoy this. I
- 48:55Speaker 2: want to know from Justin a k A mister Scoots himself.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Are golfers and NASCAR drivers athletes? Yes? One thousand? So
- 49:07Speaker 2: you think both are? Yes? Wow, there's more so I
- 49:11Speaker 2: think so to drivers, yes, because they're walking literally five
- 49:16Speaker 2: hours a day every day, and they're working out. I mean,
- 49:20Speaker 2: the way golfers work out today are completely different than
- 49:25Speaker 2: the way they walked out years ago. Sure, yeah worked out.
- 49:29Speaker 2: There was no workout. I mean they just went and
- 49:31Speaker 2: swung golf clubs. I mean there are real routines. I mean,
- 49:34Speaker 2: look at Bryson De'shambo. I mean that guy is so ripped.
- 49:37Speaker 2: I think he could go to Steve Smith and say listen,
- 49:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna beat the crap out of you, and Steve
- 49:42Speaker 2: Smith would be running away as fast as he could. Hey,
- 49:44Speaker 2: this is essentially saying Tiger Woods was not an athlete.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Bryceon Deshambo is not an athlete. Rory McElroy is not
- 49:54Speaker 2: an athlete. Nascar drivers I kind of have a hard
- 49:57Speaker 2: time with I I'm a almost to the point where
- 50:02Speaker 2: I agree with him a little bit. Nascar drivers are
- 50:05Speaker 2: not always Michael.
- 50:06Speaker 3: You cannot sit in a car for four hours and
- 50:09Speaker 3: drive two hundred miles an hour. You cannot physically, But
- 50:13Speaker 3: does that take athleticism to be able to do that?
- 50:17Speaker 3: I mean, have you ever seen a fat NASCAR driver?
- 50:20Speaker 3: I've seen a fat golfer, Well yeah, he too, But
- 50:24Speaker 3: have you ever seen a fat NASCAR driver?
- 50:26Speaker 2: Well? They're tiny, they're tiny cars they have to sit in.
- 50:31Speaker 2: These guys are all in incredible shit, right. Jeff Gordon,
- 50:34Speaker 2: one of the most famous successful NASCAR drivers ever? Right?
- 50:37Speaker 2: Is that fair to say? Isn't he like five foot two?
- 50:41Speaker 2: I don't think. I mean, are there all? Right? Forget
- 50:44Speaker 2: that they're small? Are they aren't? Most of them short?
- 50:48Speaker 2: Are there any tall NASCAR drivers? Oh? Yeah, there are,
- 50:52Speaker 2: I'm sure. Yeah, like Kyle Busch. I think they probably
- 50:57Speaker 2: name somebody over six foot four. That's a six that's
- 51:00Speaker 2: the on NASCAR driver. Oh now, I gotta look it up.
- 51:03Speaker 2: I'm ready for you to look it up. We're gonna
- 51:05Speaker 2: take a break in just a minute. Buddy Baker was
- 51:06Speaker 2: six foot six, was he really? I don't even know
- 51:09Speaker 2: who Buddy Baker is won? But he won nineteen races.
- 51:13Speaker 2: See that's not successful. Michael Waltrip six foot five. Michael
- 51:17Speaker 2: Waltrip was six foot five. Yeah, okay, I take it back.
- 51:21Speaker 2: There's Austin Sindrick. He's a current driver. He's six four.
- 51:24Speaker 2: I just want to know. I understand that. But you
- 51:27Speaker 2: know there are guys that play video games. Are they athletic? No? Well,
- 51:31Speaker 2: they're sitting there driving a car on video two hundred
- 51:35Speaker 2: miles an hour over four hours. Are they sweating and
- 51:39Speaker 2: peeing in their pants? Wait? Wait? Wait? Wait? Are they
- 51:42Speaker 2: doing that in the car, I would be wow, I
- 51:46Speaker 2: get the sweat, but you're going to the bathroom. Yeah,
- 51:48Speaker 2: throw me to Catherin. Oh my gosh. Okay, I'd like
- 51:51Speaker 2: to see you insert that Catherter by the way, on
- 51:53Speaker 2: your own. Let's take another break. Five of two, three
- 51:56Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty four one four fourteen fifty If you
- 51:58Speaker 2: want to text in, get to your text as soon
- 52:00Speaker 2: as you got Are NASCAR drivers and golfers athletes? That's
- 52:05Speaker 2: that's the true question. That is the defining question of today.
- 52:09Speaker 2: I can't believe we're discussing something Steve Smith talked about
- 52:13Speaker 2: well I know, but I saw that. It did make
- 52:15Speaker 2: me smile when he said that, because he's gotten just
- 52:18Speaker 2: ripped for. My comeback to him was, well, ESPN announcers
- 52:23Speaker 2: are not athletes, That's what I'd say right back to him.
- 52:26Speaker 2: He sits in his chair, exactly happen exactly? How does
- 52:31Speaker 2: he still have a job? Do people really like him?
- 52:34Speaker 2: And that is an honest question. I know somebody has
- 52:38Speaker 2: evidently he's doing something. He's laughing all the way to
- 52:41Speaker 2: the bank about it. So all right, we're gonna take
- 52:42Speaker 2: a break. Stay right there. More just cats coming up,
- 53:00Speaker 2: no more of what I gotta do. I'm so hot
- 53:03Speaker 2: of me, no one of me than this.
- 53:24Speaker 1: That is a my passionate love.
- 53:28Speaker 3: The neighbors tomplain about the noises above.
- 53:32Speaker 4: But she only comes when she's onsong.
- 53:40Speaker 2: My father said not to see you no more. She said,
- 53:44Speaker 2: you like it? Decease without any chore. She said, up
- 53:48Speaker 2: so obsessed?
- 53:49Speaker 4: Better become a for Oh.
- 53:52Speaker 2: No, I think you're so good. All right, remacca for
- 53:57Speaker 2: another segment of But just like that's on this windy
- 54:00Speaker 2: this is not appropriate. Why those lyrics were wild? What
- 54:06Speaker 2: part was wild? Please be specific. No, I'm not gonna
- 54:10Speaker 2: do This song is called laid. What do you expect
- 54:14Speaker 2: when you got a song called that? Good point? You
- 54:17Speaker 2: should have caught it if you didn't like it. I
- 54:19Speaker 2: like that song. I don't dislike the song. I'm just
- 54:22Speaker 2: not sure about the lyrics. Say. Look, somebody already said
- 54:25Speaker 2: great tune. Right there, there you go. I like Matt
- 54:29Speaker 2: Nathan sec Look at this. Tell the song choice. Look
- 54:34Speaker 2: at that. So don't give me crap about the songs.
- 54:36Speaker 2: I pick it again.
- 54:37Speaker 3: People like the song again. I don't have an issue
- 54:40Speaker 3: with the song. The lyrics there were a little bit raunchy.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's okay every now and then. I mean,
- 54:48Speaker 2: come on, I like the fact that people are you.
- 54:51Speaker 2: You're giving me criticism, and people are already texting in
- 54:53Speaker 2: how much they liked that song. Anyway, I like the
- 54:57Speaker 2: song as well. For what it's worth, that just made
- 55:02Speaker 2: I mean, what timing right there, You're criticizing the song
- 55:05Speaker 2: and people are typing in there, texting and saying how
- 55:08Speaker 2: much they liked that song. One person texted in make
- 55:13Speaker 2: tea of course, you know at the beginning. Well, when
- 55:15Speaker 2: when I was on with you Go man on our
- 55:18Speaker 2: daily cross talk, I told you to go make me
- 55:20Speaker 2: some tea, and he said, uh uh, who are you, Michael?
- 55:24Speaker 2: Mister t kil got them chains on it. Uh No,
- 55:28Speaker 2: I like tea, I mean, sue me. I like. I
- 55:32Speaker 2: like hot tea. I like cold tea. I've always liked it.
- 55:35Speaker 2: I'll take tea over anything out there, hot tea, hot
- 55:40Speaker 2: or cold tea. I don't like hot tea. Oh you
- 55:42Speaker 2: don't like hot tea, really, so when you.
- 55:44Speaker 3: I don't like hot drinks in general, really no, but
- 55:48Speaker 3: the perception of hot chocolate.
- 55:49Speaker 2: I have literally never heard anybody say something like that.
- 55:52Speaker 2: I mean, if I If I'm having coffee, I want
- 55:54Speaker 2: it cold. Yea.
- 55:55Speaker 3: If I'm having tea, I want cold tea. Hot Chocolate's
- 55:58Speaker 3: literally the only thing I want.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, yeah, when I go to the Chinese restaurant,
- 56:03Speaker 2: I like having hot tea. Interesting, okay, yeah, there are
- 56:09Speaker 2: many times I will have hot tea. All right, then? Yeah,
- 56:12Speaker 2: make fun of me. Huh, don't call me Shirley is
- 56:15Speaker 2: an awesome joke, and never apologize for making it looks
- 56:19Speaker 2: like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
- 56:23Speaker 2: That's another great line from Airplane. That's the other one
- 56:27Speaker 2: is excuse me, miss I speak jive. I think that's
- 56:31Speaker 2: one of the funniest lines speaking of a something that
- 56:34Speaker 2: makes me uncomfortable? Airplane? Does it really? The movie? Airplane?
- 56:39Speaker 2: Or Airplanes? Is? No the movie? Why does that make you?
- 56:42Speaker 2: When that little boys in the cockpit?
- 56:44Speaker 1: Oh?
- 56:44Speaker 2: I love that. You ever seen a grown man naked?
- 56:46Speaker 2: It makes me love that? Oh no, that is an
- 56:50Speaker 2: awesome part. Yeah you ever seen a grown man naked?
- 56:54Speaker 2: I mean that is one of my all time favorite
- 56:56Speaker 2: lines as well. You like candy? I love that, can't
- 57:01Speaker 2: do it? I have used those lines so many times
- 57:04Speaker 2: and nobody gets them anymore. Oh yeah, you're not using
- 57:07Speaker 2: them on kids are of course not. It is funny though.
- 57:11Speaker 2: I was with some friends a couple of weeks ago
- 57:14Speaker 2: in Tampa when when I was talking about you know,
- 57:17Speaker 2: I was riding down the elevator with this little girl.
- 57:20Speaker 2: It's just the two of us, and I I just
- 57:24Speaker 2: she was probably twelve years old, eleven or twelve, and
- 57:27Speaker 2: I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable with me, so
- 57:30Speaker 2: I started chatting it up with her. Come on, I'm
- 57:34Speaker 2: just sitting there and I'm saying and I'm telling the
- 57:36Speaker 2: story to this friends, and I said, you look very
- 57:39Speaker 2: pretty today. I said I like your dress, and she
- 57:43Speaker 2: said thank you and just gave me a nice smile.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I said, don't I look nice? Don't don't I look pretty?
- 57:49Speaker 2: And she starts shaking her head. No. I was like, why,
- 57:53Speaker 2: she goes, boys don't look pretty, and I'm like, good point.
- 57:57Speaker 2: It's not very good at elevator ethics. Come on now.
- 58:00Speaker 2: So I'm just trying to tease her and make her
- 58:03Speaker 2: feel comfortable. So she didn't think some creepy old guys
- 58:05Speaker 2: with her on. You're on an elevator, you just stare
- 58:08Speaker 2: up at the now, not when it's just with a
- 58:10Speaker 2: little kid out there, I don't want them to feel nervous.
- 58:13Speaker 2: So I was telling my parking I was shop stop it.
- 58:19Speaker 2: She was smiling and enjoying what I was saying, and
- 58:21Speaker 2: she liked me kidding with her. So you weren't there.
- 58:24Speaker 2: You don't know, but you're probably right most of the time.
- 58:29Speaker 2: So I'm telling the story and one of my buddies girlfriends,
- 58:32Speaker 2: who I was meeting for the first time, She's like, yeah,
- 58:36Speaker 2: and then this story ended up with you and handcuffs
- 58:38Speaker 2: in the back of a police car. I started laughing. Well,
- 58:42Speaker 2: they were dying laughing because I didn't know she was
- 58:45Speaker 2: a prosecutor in the city of Tampa Bay or Tampa, Florida,
- 58:49Speaker 2: and what she really concentrates on is child molestation and pornography.
- 58:56Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh boy, I've gotten myself in trouble here.
- 58:59Speaker 2: So that's what she really Yeah, she went after those
- 59:02Speaker 2: kinds of guys for all the story. Don't talk to people,
- 59:04Speaker 2: Yes you can, I don't care. If there's one place
- 59:08Speaker 2: I do not talk to anybody, its elevators. One person
- 59:11Speaker 2: texted four five nine twenty two, mister Gaddy's jingles is
- 59:15Speaker 2: locked in my brain from the eighties. Yeah, I know.
- 59:19Speaker 2: And there's a lawyer here in town that has one
- 59:22Speaker 2: of those kind of jingles as well with the phone
- 59:26Speaker 2: number on it. That just drives me nuts. Michael is
- 59:30Speaker 2: White Tea. Should that be my nickname? White Tea? I
- 59:36Speaker 2: like it. That's terrible. No, you shouldn't like that kind
- 59:39Speaker 2: of stuff. Let me see here trying to catch up,
- 59:43Speaker 2: and I'm trying to make sure I get all of it.
- 59:46Speaker 2: If I was governor, I would shut the basketball program down.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I would fire everyone in position of power other than
- 59:55Speaker 2: Will will Stein and Kenny Brooks, and I'd start from scratch.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: All that money going to fraud and illegitimate jobs would
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: go to Billy Donovan's fifteen million a year contract and
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: give him this whole season to start getting together what
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: he needs for twenty twenty seven. What do you think?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just see that. I think that's
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: a good portion. I'm not gonna say that's fifty percent
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: or more, but I think a fairly good portion of
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the UK fan base is right where this Texter is
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: I mean, if you offer me Jay Lucas or Billy Donovan,
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna go Billy Donovan. Like I said yesterday, I
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: don't really understand the whole j Lucas thing, but I'm
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: still not convinced that that would be my number one target,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Billy Donovan.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Who would be your number one target? Then? Who is
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: going to be ahead of Billy Donovan that legitimately would
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: take the job. There's your problem, coaches. And I had
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: this conversation Sunday at church with a good friend of mine.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: The coaches do not want to move today because there
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: and we've talked about this, there is a comfort level
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: that they have knowing what kind of money they have
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: coming in for the NIL, so they don't want to
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: leave and go reinvent the wheel. There is more pressure
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: on them with the NIL and raising money than there
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: is anything else. They know they can go recruit, but
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: where's the money coming from? I bet that's one of
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: the top questions they ask if they do go interview
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: with another position in college. Probably tell me about your donors,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Tell me about your nil, how much money you're bringing in,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: How much if I'm hired here, how much money do
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: you think will bring in? How much money will I
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: have available to me to go spend on players? So
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: you know when you look at Scott Drew, when you
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: look at Natoats, when you look at Todd Golden, when
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: you look got Hurley, Uh, Danny Hurley, they're not going
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: to leave. There's one name you said that doesn't belong
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: with Scott Drew. We got I know, and I'm right.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: I'm probably right there with you after this past season.
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: But all right, let's put in Dusty Dusty may How
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: you like that one. He's not leaving. No, just like
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: North Carolina thought they could go bring him down, why
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: would he leave Michigan. I guarantee you there's more money
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: in Michigan than there is down in North Carolina. I
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: don't think he would even leave Michigan for Indiana and
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: he's no. Why would he? So, I that that is
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: the biggest concern. So you're not going to see a
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: lot of turnover of coaches going from one place to
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: another unless it's more of a mid major and they're
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: going to a major school. That's the only time you're
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: going to see it. So I so as far as
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: you're what you're saying about who's going to be ahead
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: of now? I would see Jay lou if he's successful
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: at Miami I don't see him staying there. It's still
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: it's not a mid major, but they don't have big
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: donors down there. It's it's all about it's all about football.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: That money's going to football majority, but they basketball gets money,
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: not as much as football. I'll put a few schools
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: in there. No school gets more money for basketball than
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: they do football. Yes, no, I agree, I'm agreeing with you.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: So I just I think that if you're asking me
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: if the job became open today, and it's not, I'm
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: in full of support of Mark Pope, but if it did, Yeah,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: my first phone call is Billy Donovan. I like the
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: aspect of him potentially coming back. I think he could
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: do it. Well, I'm just.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Going to I mean, I'm not not going to root
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: for him. I'm rooting for Billy Donovan. I'm not convinced
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: that they'll be able to step back in and be
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: comfortable right away.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Texas said he wanted to play. Uh. He said he
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: wanted to play for Kentucky short for Kevin Young. Jesus
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Christ Michael read my other text too. I just did
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: you're oh your other one? I did read that one.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: I read both of them. What are you talking about Michael.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: You must have the fancy rich version of an iPhone.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: I read that. I don't know what other one I'm missing.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: So am I missing something? I don't know what texture?
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Uh the eight five nine one? All right? Let me
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: get back to a couple others. I think I read
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: them all. Textter, you can text me back again and
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: fuss at me if I miss something there. One Texter said,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: isn't Basher the guy who sent law enforcement to copied
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: down license plates of people who defied his order to
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: not congregate together in worship? Yes, that's all I'll say
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: about that. That was a weird time. I'm in his defense.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Uh yeah, okay, let's not Yeah, move on. Listening to
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: this Stokes dia tribe? Is that how you pronounce that? Diatribe?
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Every day brings to mind the term water logged. I'm saturated.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: That's a great word right, by the way, that's a
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: forty eight handily. That's a perfect way to describe this.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: If you're saturated forty handily than I am already something
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: the bottom of the way.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Water logged What a great word. Yeah, I think that
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: is the perfect way to describe it. I love the
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: camelot a reference not cheesy at all. Great musical was
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: emblematic of the hope surrounding the Kennedy era for a
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: rejuvenate in America. It's probably why I don't like it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: I was never a fan of the Kennedy So there
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: you go. Let me get to this one here. One
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: person said, Michael, you need to send John a gift
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: card because he gets the text line fired up? Is that?
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: What is it John that gets the text line all
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: fired up? Or what kind of gift card? Texter? And
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: this is coming from Josh, Josh, what kind of gift
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: cards should I send John? All Right? Billy Donovan has
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: the personality of a table? Does he really? Does he
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: have a person out of the table. I didn't think
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: it was that bad. I'm not saying anything because I don't.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: That's the thing is, I don't really remember. Billy Donovan's
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: been gone from the college game for a long time.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: And it's it's not like I pay attention to the bulls.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Everyone that doesn't think NASCAR drivers aren't athletic should have
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: to challenge them and get in one hundred and thirty
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: degree race car and drive it a one hundred and
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: seventy five miles per hour for four hours. You would
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: be done in ten minutes, arms falling off, sweating profusely,
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: and body cramping due to fluid loss. Agreed, Well do
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: they drink when they're in there? What do they do
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: they have at They so a straw? Are they eating anything?
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: No?
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: So, no eating, it's only drinking. I mean unless I
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: didn't think about the sweat part. Maybe if there's like
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: a red flag or something, they'll fit a snack in,
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: But no during the race. I don't think they're actively eating.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Okay, one person said John here, I see on Tina
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: on X that JD. Shelburne said, Mark Pope, go ahead
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: and hire Billy D to be the GM. What are
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: your thoughts? I don't think, well, I don't think easier transition. Well,
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: that's true. I just don't think he would take the job.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: I think he wants to be the head man, and
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: he's been the head my man his entire career since
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: before Florida. Uh so, yeah, I don't think JD gets
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: really excited about certain things. And it puts a smile
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: on my face, and I'll make fun of him in
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: front of his face too about it and he'll laugh.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: But yeah, he gets a little. I don't think it
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: would happen, do you know? Yes, NASCAR drivers are athletic.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: The g forces that they drive in make everything harder
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: for their mind and body. For a four hour race,
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: their heart rates are elevated. They lose tons of sweat
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: in the race, equal to a marathon runner. Is that true?
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: The race is equal to a marathon runner. They even
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: lose weight. This might be the reason some are smaller
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: and are not so heavy. Not to mention dehydration because
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: of the sweat loss and extreme temperatures in the car.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Even if you know how to drive a race car,
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: an average Joe could not come off the street in
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: an actual four hour race and finish the race. Agreed,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: they are athletes. I didn't realize about all the sweat
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's not You're not driving seventy mile
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: an hour down I seventy five, you know, like you're
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: going almost two hundred for four hours and a car
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: that's really hot, like Josh Sly.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Okay, one person at least. Michael didn't mention the song
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Aerosmith about elevators to her. I don't kid it loving
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: an elevator. Uh yeah, yeah, No, I didn't do that, Jamie.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: I'm sure you'd be on your way right now to
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: erase me. Uh Well, one person wants to know if
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: I was a Jimmy Carter fan. Well, I was a kid.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: I mean I all I remember about Jimmy Carter is
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: that credit card interest rates were is the most that
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: they had ever been in the history of credit cards.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: I'm listen. The part I do well that is as
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: a kid too. I mean my dad said it all
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: the time, interest rate. I mean he said it all
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: the time. And but I will say, uh, maybe not
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: during his presidency because I was a kid, but after
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: his presidency and him doing what he did building houses
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: because he was responsible. What's the what's the thing he
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: was responsible for? Or where he built houses for free
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: for people and they got to as long as you qualified.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Habitat habitat for humanity. Yes, that's Jimmy Carter. Why okay,
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: now we're getting text about political people. Come on now,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: we got to take our last break. Stay right there.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: Five we're getting Are you seeing the political talk? Now?
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: I hate political talk. Please stop anyway, stay right there.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: This is Jessicay in a way.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Need to change from the spurn out scene, another time,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: another town, another everything, but it's always back to you.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: It's funny to me that the song you played is
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: the one that I picked. That people commented love that song,
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: hell of a song, great pick. You think those people
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: are surprised that I'm the one that picked that song,
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: not you. No, really, Okay, how much you're pumping your
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: chest about it? Because okay, well that is true. Okay,
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: I'll pump my chest a little more. It doesn't happen often. Okay,
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: let me just enjoy the moment for just a little
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: bit longer. You're a moment to enjoy, big all right, Yeah,
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: well now I'm not the big dog. I mean, there's
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: only one big dog out there. Dog. Yeah, that is true.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: Braydon Hawthorne announced yesterday that he's going to be coming
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: back to the University Kentucky. Was that not already out there? Yeah?
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: It was. And the other part is his brother is
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: committing to the University of Kentucky six foot one guard.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: He also had offers from rich Chall State, will sal
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: Arkansas State, and Bethune Cookman. What's the first thought you
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: think of when you hear his little brother, Zion is
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: committing to uk.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: My first thought that I heard yesterday or that I
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: that I came to yesterday, it was okay, Braden Hawthorne
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: was gonna leave. Yeah, unless the staff agreed to also
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: bring in his brother. Yeah, that's the first thing. So
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: it's a two fer.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Is that the right thing to be doing
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: right now? Sure? I mean, is that it is? Why not?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: It's okay? I just I don't know. I uh nice, Okay,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: that's that's that's that's that's all I can say. I mean,
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I won't say what I really think, but I think
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: you get the idea. I just like, Okay, that's that's different.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Congratulations there. Uh. ESPN announced that they're going to be
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: doing in ESPN Jeopardy. That's all that.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: Joe Buck's gonna Joe Buck is gonna host. Think of
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: the worst host? Oh, come on, I like Joe Buck.
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: I love Joe Buck. I don't know that I see
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: him in a role of playing a host for Jeopardy.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Really, I say, give it a shot. But are you
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: a Jeopardy fan? I like Jeopardy? Are you do? I
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: always hated it? I mean, I've never been any good
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: at it. Well, so I'm curious why you liked it
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: because I'm terrible at it. Because it makes why did
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: you like it?
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: It makes you feel good when you get one of
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: like one, one of like the four questions you get right.
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: It makes you feel great, like, hell yeah, I'm so smart.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: My favorite scene is with Bill Murray in uh, what's
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: the movie where he's Groundhog Day and he's sitting there
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: on the couch in his pajamas with all these old
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: people and he's answering the questions to Jeopardy, and then
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: he even answers it when uh trebec is out there
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: saying like one or two words, and he looks at
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: the other lady next to him and give the answer
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: and they're all clapping, Oh, well done, mister Jeopardy. I
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: got I love Bill Murray. Okay, just let you know
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: that's that's a guy. Of all the celebrities out there
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: in the world right now, he is the number one
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: guy I would love to sit down and have dinner with.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: Not you, No, not with that answer. I can tell
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: you what's wrong with Bill Murray.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Nothing, that's just that wouldn't be. He wouldn't even make
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: my top twenty five.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Oh he's my number one. Between him, Clint Eastwood, Vaughn,
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Vince Vaughan would be up there. No, Will Ferrell, No,
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: it wouldn't be Will Ferrell. Will Ferrell will be in
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: my top five. Really. Yeah. Adam Sandler would probably be
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: my top guy. Yeah, he might be there, but I
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: go for the obscure ones. I no, I lied. John
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: Lovett would want to be my top My top guys definitely,
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, why did I my blanking on his
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: name right now? Great pick?
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Love that Seth Rogan, give me Seth Rogen really just
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: because again I would like to think that I would
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: say something funny along the way and he would do
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: that like and it would just I would fall out
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: of my chair laughing so hard. Eddie Murphy would be there,
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: and probably Kevin Hart. Those are my picks right there.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: I mean, I think Kevin Hart is hilarious. I think
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: Eddie Murphy is hilarious. John Lovett and Bill Murray. I
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: know that's a weird combination. But I'll tell you who,
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: not Will Will. I almost said Will Levice, Uh not
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: Will Ferrell, but it would probably John c Riley would
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: be there.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Okay. I think John c Riley is equally and he
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: doesn't get enough credit. Equally as funny as Will Ferrell.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: And I'd probably put Steve Carell in there too. I
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: think i'd be boring. Why would Steve CORRELLI Steve Carell? Okay, well,
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: you don't know what you've missed. I happen to enjoy that.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: But anyway, did you see where Mike Tomlin, the former
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Steelers coach for the last nineteen years, will be joining
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: the NBC's Football Night in America, replacing his former coach
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: that he was assistant for at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tony Dungee.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: I think he'll do a great job. I think he'll
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: do a phenomenal job. As much as I've always disliked
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: the Steelers, I have always respected that organization, and I've
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: always really liked Mike Tomlin. I mean I was I
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: get it nineteen years. I mean, you know, name another organism,
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: a professional organism, major league organization that has kept their
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: coach as long as they have, not just Mike Tomlin,
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: but every coach that they've had. I've had three coaches
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: since the sixties, isn't that crazy? And then you bring
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: in Mike McCarthy to ruin that that was a bad pick.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Now they're going to keep them unfortunately. I just I
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: wonder because here's what I think. What do the Titans
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: think about Mike Rable? Forget all the bad publicity he's
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: getting right now, which is deserved. But do you think
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: the Titans look back and think maybe we shouldn't have
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: fired Rabel? Yeah? I do, so do I But Titans
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: are a disaster. But they are. And but I will
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: say NBC great hire with Mike Tomlins. I really like
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: that hire. I think it's going to be a success,
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: and I think he'll be able to give a lot
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: of input that we normally don't hear. Let's go back
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: to the text line before we take off for the
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: take because he just days gone by so fast it's
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: not even funny. One person said, I think the Sports
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: Jeopardy will work and would want to try out as
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: a contestant. I think it'd be so so you think
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: it'll work. I do. Yeah, would Michael ever pity the
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: fool since he's white tea. That's a great text right there.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: I'm the white tea. One person as far as Stokes
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: UK should bow out, there are a few big time
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: players there that are in the draft, and you throw
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: the money at one of them if they withdraw plus
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: the screws Stokes game he is playing, plus that screw
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: Stokes game that he's playing. I'm right there with you.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: I think you do too. Justin throw it out, just
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: be done with him. I agree. UK finally got a Zion,
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: only almost a decade too late. Oh my gosh. Man. Anyway,
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: one person similar to us wishing that Matt Jones Colt
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: hadn't run cal Off. He should have retired here so dumb. Yeah, okay,
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: I'm a Titans fan. Screw our ownership. They traded away
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: AJ Brown and drafted Will Levis and left Rabel out
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: to dry. Yeah, I'm right there too. One person said, yeah,
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Bernie Mac and Ron White, great, we should. We should
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: do a an all time who would you have dinner with?
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: Alive or dead?
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: Ron White would be tough, though, because he probably smells
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: like bourbon and cigars, and I don't know if that's
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: I kind.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: Of like that, if it's a good cigar, I like
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: the smell of that. I know that's weird, but I do.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: I like the smell of enough it's a crappy cigar. Yeah,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: I'm passing right there, but no, let's come up with
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: list you'll forget. And of course I forgot to text
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: you yesterday to watch uh, to watch? Yeah, I was
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: watching Full Swing instead. What was the movie I told
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: you to watch? Yeah? I don't either anyway, all right, well, uh,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: let's talk about that tomorrow. Let's who would you like
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: that dead or alive, have dinner with and come up
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: with your top five. I'll text you so you remember.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: All right, everybody, have a great day. We'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: And just the cats. How many times can braids as
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: I can? The fucker way to
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: Recover any of breaking lem bake a cost
