- 0:04Speaker 1: At horrible plane crash occurred last night. I was headed
- 0:08Speaker 1: to do this podcast and I just felt so heavy.
- 0:11Speaker 1: So I think it's it's better to say that it's
- 0:14Speaker 1: on our minds rather than try and ignore it.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it's tragic, man, Oh my god, in the fires.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Sorry audience, We're gonna pivot to not be talking about
- 0:24Speaker 1: tragedy in a second. But it's just it's really overwhelming
- 0:26Speaker 1: with the fires and and so many people we know
- 0:31Speaker 1: here in l A lost everything. It just it's just
- 0:35Speaker 1: like I was like, now there's a plane crash. It
- 0:38Speaker 1: just just feels really really scary time. Joelle, will you
- 0:43Speaker 1: say a prayer?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Fucking that's not.
- 0:49Speaker 4: A very religious person, but let.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Us in a non secular prayer.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Joell, you join your peers. I do got this. Join
- 1:01Speaker 4: your peers the line, resist by back, organize, find piece
- 1:07Speaker 4: where you can.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I find peace where I in my foster dog. That's
- 1:12Speaker 1: where I find my joy. In my foster pit bull.
- 1:14Speaker 4: He's a cute one.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Sorry, my adopted pitbull who's now longer a foster, but
- 1:18Speaker 1: she brings me joy.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I find my joy in my family and my animation.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You know. In Star Wars.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yes, I saw a video. I know you saw it too.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I think I sent it to you. And it looked
- 1:32Speaker 1: like the happiest man in the world.
- 1:33Speaker 3: And he is the happiest man in the world.
- 1:35Speaker 1: He had a Star Wars room that must have looks
- 1:38Speaker 1: like it costs to decorate with all his one hundred
- 1:41Speaker 1: thousand dollars not even close more less Okay, well, anyway,
- 1:46Speaker 1: it was the most tricked out Star Wars room. He
- 1:49Speaker 1: was sitting at his Star Wars table building Star Wars legos,
- 1:52Speaker 1: watching Star.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Wars, watching The Empire Strikes Back.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And he was like, it reminded me of you. I
- 1:57Speaker 1: was like, that would be Donald's happy place if someone
- 1:59Speaker 1: could just leave'm alone. Yeah, to be in his Star
- 2:02Speaker 1: Wars room building Star Wars leg I was watching The
- 2:04Speaker 1: Empire strikes Back. Yeah, and his wife, I assume was
- 2:07Speaker 1: filming him being like, look at my look at my
- 2:10Speaker 1: man in his happy place.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah. I think she was trying to make fun of him.
- 2:14Speaker 5: But oh, really, what made you think that?
- 2:16Speaker 3: Well, because she's.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Let him build that fucking room. She must have been
- 2:19Speaker 1: quite supportive.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's because she loves him. That's the only
- 2:22Speaker 2: reason why. Like, my wife makes so much fun of
- 2:25Speaker 2: me for.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Having really she called her blurred, well.
- 2:28Speaker 3: She calls me. She calls me other names.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Blurred isn't one of them, but you know she you know,
- 2:34Speaker 2: but she's very supportive of my Star Wars addiction because
- 2:37Speaker 2: it really is an addiction. Like if a toy comes out,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'm on the internet already, like, okay, let me see
- 2:43Speaker 2: by the.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Way, I'm supportive.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Do you know how many things I DM Donald that
- 2:46Speaker 1: are Star Wars related? Because now the algorithm thinks I
- 2:50Speaker 1: like this shit.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Yeah, and I have no interest in any of this ship.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I look, the algorithm because I send every wacky Star
- 3:00Speaker 1: Wars thing to Donald, thinks that I'm into it, so
- 3:03Speaker 1: I get all this ship.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You know, I'm so addicted to Star Wars that I
- 3:06Speaker 2: watch YouTube videos about theories on Star Wars, like I
- 3:11Speaker 2: watch new rock star shout out what's his name? Voss
- 3:17Speaker 2: Eric Voss. I watched freaking scream crush, what's that dude's name?
- 3:21Speaker 2: Freaking uh yo, dude, I saw.
- 3:27Speaker 1: You a deleted scene from Star Wars that got sent to.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Me, which one and I had seen it already.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm sure you've seen it already. Tell Joel seen it once.
- 3:37Speaker 2: It's when Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker are fighting in
- 3:40Speaker 2: Cloud Citty on the on the platform, and there's this
- 3:45Speaker 2: whole dialogue after he says the Force is strong with you,
- 3:49Speaker 2: young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet, and
- 3:52Speaker 2: they're fighting and Luke is doing some really dope moves
- 3:56Speaker 2: and Vader's like.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yeah, come on, that's what I want. Pretty much, take
- 4:00Speaker 3: your revenge. I destroyed your family.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And they cut that out of the movie, thank goodness,
- 4:05Speaker 2: because it would have been a weird turn.
- 4:07Speaker 3: When he says, no, I am your father.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Is it the extra dialogue they wrote so they could
- 4:13Speaker 4: do the ad R because they didn't do that on set, right,
- 4:15Speaker 4: but I am your father?
- 4:16Speaker 3: No, it wasn't.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Well, the extra dialogue comes after he gets his hand
- 4:21Speaker 2: chopped off. This is literally when they're they're fighting where
- 4:25Speaker 2: Han Solo has just been frozen, uh and uh and
- 4:30Speaker 2: says I know to Lea they're fighting in that area
- 4:33Speaker 2: god on an.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Orange room with the orange orange lit up floor. Just
- 4:40Speaker 3: it just so social faces face.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I don't have a snore button on the on the panels,
- 4:47Speaker 1: so what.
- 4:48Speaker 3: You're trying to get into a day show.
- 4:51Speaker 5: What you're trying to do? What are you trying to
- 4:54Speaker 5: get into?
- 4:55Speaker 3: You know, I'm trying to get into a lot of things.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Man, we're doing the next Friday.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I know what we're doing next Friday. Do you know?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Are we allowed to talk about what we're doing? Well?
- 5:04Speaker 5: Why not?
- 5:05Speaker 1: We can say we're going to drop another T mobile commercial.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Well it doesn't drop on Friday.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Sorry, what's that we shoot on Friday? Donald, we're going
- 5:15Speaker 1: to drop it. We're not going to drop it. We're
- 5:18Speaker 1: going to record it. We're going to film it. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and it's very funny. Have you read it yet?
- 5:23Speaker 3: I haven't received anything. If you have it, i'd love
- 5:25Speaker 3: to see it.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Well, i'll send it to you.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Donald.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Have nice, very nice.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's not for the bull unless the universe decides that
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's so efing funny.
- 5:37Speaker 3: They would have to turn that shit around so quick.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Well, when's the Bowl?
- 5:41Speaker 3: Not this weekend but next weekend.
- 5:43Speaker 5: No, anything is possible. That's probably not possible.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I got invited to go to this thing tonight, the
- 5:48Speaker 1: Fire Aid Concert. I'm deciding whether I should go. But
- 5:51Speaker 1: let me tell you who's playing at the Into It Dome. Oh,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I mean there's people playing also with the key of form.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Where's the key of form across the street?
- 6:01Speaker 3: I think it's it's the old Forum, so I guess
- 6:05Speaker 3: they oh, because there's so many acts, they put him
- 6:07Speaker 3: into next door the Forum.
- 6:10Speaker 2: The Forum has been turned into pretty much a concert hall.
- 6:17Speaker 2: It's made for concerts now, whereas before.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I'm ready to sit in the Into It Dome so
- 6:22Speaker 1: I would see live Billie Eilish, earth Wind and Fire,
- 6:25Speaker 1: Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Little Baby, Olivia, Orrigo, Peso, Pluma,
- 6:31Speaker 1: Rod Stewart, Stevie Wondersting and Tate McCrae.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Okay, that's at the Forum.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And at the Forum you got Alenis Morris, Set Anderson, Pack,
- 6:39Speaker 1: John Mayer, Dawes Graham, Nash green Day, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell,
- 6:44Speaker 1: No Doubt, Pink, Red Hudgelei Pepper, Steven Still, Stevie Nickson,
- 6:46Speaker 1: the Black Crows.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Okay, I'm not good.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I'm not that's that's I'm not gonna say anything.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Rude about in the Forum. I would rather be at
- 6:58Speaker 3: the Into It, the Into It.
- 7:00Speaker 7: That's the one I've been invited to.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I should I go?
- 7:10Speaker 8: I mean, you should go?
- 7:14Speaker 1: Well, obviously the cause is great, and I would I
- 7:19Speaker 1: don't know. I'll tell you what the fellow wrote me.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Do you want to hear what the fellow wrote me?
- 7:24Speaker 9: Please?
- 7:25Speaker 1: The fellow wrote me, got you some great floor seats
- 7:32Speaker 1: by the stage.
- 7:35Speaker 5: Two.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Okay, Also would love it if you can quickly do
- 7:39Speaker 1: the carpet before all, just to raise awareness, uh for
- 7:42Speaker 1: donations to the cause.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Uh.
- 7:45Speaker 1: The after party will be quote off the.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Hook, Okay, bring a lady.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Friend anyway, I'll probably go. I guess I have to
- 7:54Speaker 1: figure out who's worthy of bringing in terms of like
- 7:57Speaker 1: do I bring a date to that?
- 7:58Speaker 2: I think you should bring a date. That sounds like
- 7:59Speaker 2: a fun time to take. I mean to it sounds
- 8:02Speaker 2: like a fun time to spend with a date, right.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I'm just not sure who I would bring to that
- 8:11Speaker 5: plan as casey, Yeah, I mean you.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You know, Zach I love you, Zach, I love you.
- 8:18Speaker 7: She might enjoy that, Zach I love you.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, and she did think she'd be down
- 8:23Speaker 1: to be my day.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure she'd be down to go with
- 8:28Speaker 3: you as a friend for.
- 8:30Speaker 8: Fox's sake, just stop talking about your willies.
- 8:34Speaker 3: And I'm confused on why you press that button.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Because I was going to start talking about my.
- 8:39Speaker 3: WILLI whoa and my wife?
- 8:42Speaker 1: No, no, no, unrelated, unrelated what.
- 8:44Speaker 8: I'm talking about.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm just having fun with the seal machine because I
- 8:48Speaker 1: realize I haven't really used it in no while.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Everybody likes a little ass flay. Don't even act like
- 8:51Speaker 3: you don't.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean some of these buttons have not been
- 8:54Speaker 1: appreciated in a very long time.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Your sound effects machine, Well, let's stick with that once
- 9:00Speaker 3: for now.
- 9:00Speaker 1: How about that's your favorite one? Or is this your
- 9:03Speaker 1: favorite one?
- 9:04Speaker 3: Eat these balls? You know my favorite?
- 9:08Speaker 1: What's your favorite one?
- 9:10Speaker 3: Do or do not? There is no try?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Let me hit that for you, baby girl. Where is
- 9:14Speaker 1: that fucking thing?
- 9:15Speaker 3: Do or do not?
- 9:18Speaker 4: There is no try?
- 9:19Speaker 5: You know my favorite sounds like Yoda?
- 9:21Speaker 10: Bro?
- 9:21Speaker 5: You know my favorite one.
- 9:22Speaker 8: Is Zach and Donald Gay newly wentz in House Arrest.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Donald.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Did you watch any of the show that Zach Cherry
- 9:33Speaker 1: is on.
- 9:33Speaker 3: It's called I've seen some of the stop I saw
- 9:35Speaker 3: the stop motion.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That's all you watched?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Well, that's all I really care about.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Really good as is amazing I know.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I get that I do not. I do not watch television.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Like I'm just starting to watch squid Game for the
- 9:50Speaker 2: first time and that ship is fire ho.
- 9:52Speaker 1: No, but we're not having a squid Game guy on
- 9:54Speaker 1: our show today. We're having the guy from Severance on
- 9:56Speaker 1: our show today.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I know. And he's a very funny guy and very funny.
- 10:02Speaker 2: You know that's that whole cast is actually pretty funny, Adams.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I need Jillian Toki to guide us through a conversation.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Why are you upset?
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yes?
- 10:14Speaker 3: Really? Yes, because I don't watch Separates.
- 10:18Speaker 1: No, because I asked you last night to make sure
- 10:20Speaker 1: you at least watched the pilot. Because we were having
- 10:23Speaker 1: the star of the show on.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I get.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I know the premise of the show though already, and
- 10:28Speaker 2: I know I know who he is, and I mean.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I just wish Jillian Tareki was here to lead us
- 10:34Speaker 1: through a conversation.
- 10:36Speaker 3: You know, I just don't. I want to know the man,
- 10:41Speaker 3: not necessarily the work. Okay, let's put it that.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Way, all right.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Well, hopefully Joel and Daniel have watched.
- 10:47Speaker 4: The show, big old yeah, I fallout are.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Him?
- 10:56Speaker 2: I've got to say, are you a fan of him?
- 10:58Speaker 2: Because of Fallout or because of.
- 11:00Speaker 9: Severans discovered him because of Severance fell in love with
- 11:03Speaker 9: him on Fallout. He's also one of my favorite new
- 11:06Speaker 9: guests on a different podcast to listen to.
- 11:08Speaker 1: So what's that podcast?
- 11:09Speaker 3: What podcast is dough Boys.
- 11:11Speaker 9: It's a podcast about fast food restaurants, and he is
- 11:13Speaker 9: an all time new guest. He's great.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Is he really knowledgeable about fast food?
- 11:18Speaker 5: Yeah? He is. And I didn't know about.
- 11:21Speaker 1: This because I didn't watch Spider Man movies, but in
- 11:24Speaker 1: Spider Man Homecoming he got quite famous because he said,
- 11:28Speaker 1: do a flip, Spider.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Man, Yeah, backflip, and then he does the backflip.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And that kind of made him like a viral hit
- 11:37Speaker 1: as the street vender.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I want to ask him about that because I just
- 11:44Speaker 1: want to know a question for him.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I want to know what he did to get into
- 11:48Speaker 2: Marvel movies man, Like I'm trying to crack that code
- 11:51Speaker 2: like every other actor in Hollywood who hasn't been in one.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm trying to crack that Star Wars code too, like
- 11:57Speaker 2: every other actor who hasn't been in one. Jude Law
- 12:00Speaker 2: just did it. And Jude Law did a great job
- 12:03Speaker 2: in fucking Skeleton Crew. I want to crack that code,
- 12:07Speaker 2: crack that code?
- 12:08Speaker 3: What a chant going? No?
- 12:10Speaker 5: What is shang Chi?
- 12:12Speaker 1: And the legend of the Ten Rings?
- 12:14Speaker 4: That is a Marvel property?
- 12:17Speaker 5: Okay, was that possu?
- 12:19Speaker 3: That sh was fire? Dude, you didn't see I don't
- 12:22Speaker 3: really want.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, yes, that's I mean. That boy does
- 12:28Speaker 2: his own stunts too. And so if you want to
- 12:30Speaker 2: see something really cool, just watch the behind the scenes
- 12:33Speaker 2: of shang Chi. And this boy is literally jumping on
- 12:36Speaker 2: a bus, swinging, doing flips like.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It was also in that movie as in a cameo,
- 12:43Speaker 1: and there were some questions about whether it was the
- 12:46Speaker 1: same guy. Was it the street fender?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Well, shang Chi takes place in San Francisco, and.
- 12:53Speaker 5: So I would have had to move to.
- 12:55Speaker 3: From New York from Queens to Sam.
- 13:01Speaker 4: No, thank you man, time to play, ma'am.
- 13:07Speaker 1: No, she's barking at the next her neighbor's gardener. But
- 13:10Speaker 1: you're not supposed to admonish them. You're supposed to say no,
- 13:13Speaker 1: thank you. You still want them to guard, but you
- 13:16Speaker 1: want to be like, hey, I got this, We're good.
- 13:18Speaker 4: That's just so apparently dogs can't understand yelling, Like if
- 13:21Speaker 4: you're just yelling. They're just like, oh, you're loud, and
- 13:23Speaker 4: maybe anybody can't process what you're trying to tell them.
- 13:25Speaker 1: When you when you when they're barking and you yell
- 13:27Speaker 1: at them, when you're when they're barking and you yell
- 13:29Speaker 1: at them, they think you're barking along with them.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I'll be telling my dog shut the fuck up.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Trainer would tell you that's not the most effective thing.
- 13:38Speaker 3: That shit works every time.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'm going to try and train this dog so well,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I'm really going to put in the effort to have this.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I've already got go to your bed when she's when
- 13:49Speaker 1: it's feeding time and she races to her bed. It's
- 13:52Speaker 1: really cute.
- 13:53Speaker 5: I'm really proud of that.
- 13:55Speaker 4: You should be. I caught up on the Pit zach Oh,
- 14:00Speaker 4: Night of the Pit, I'm so I was so mad
- 14:02Speaker 4: when I ran out of episodes, so they can't only
- 14:04Speaker 4: be four out? What is happening was really bad?
- 14:07Speaker 5: Great?
- 14:07Speaker 4: It is so. I'd already seen the pilot and you
- 14:10Speaker 4: I loved it, but I just hadn't gone back to
- 14:12Speaker 4: catch up. And now I was like, well, let me
- 14:14Speaker 4: just answering emails, let me just pop it on in
- 14:16Speaker 4: the background. Two hours later, I have to turn this
- 14:17Speaker 4: off because it requires my full attention.
- 14:19Speaker 1: It's yeah, you can, but on your phone. No, you
- 14:23Speaker 1: got to really pay attention.
- 14:25Speaker 4: That is not second screen viewing. I would say the
- 14:28Speaker 4: from a like medical show, prosthetics and makeup are so fabulous,
- 14:34Speaker 4: and there's this really good and kind of gross, but
- 14:36Speaker 4: then the emotional impact it's wonderful.
- 14:40Speaker 1: You don't already realized the er couldn't have been as
- 14:43Speaker 1: graphic as they are because it was a network show,
- 14:46Speaker 1: whereas they show they don't hide the the gore. I mean,
- 14:50Speaker 1: it's not there's moments where'ts super gory, like with that foot.
- 14:54Speaker 1: But I just had that realization when I was watching it, like, wow,
- 14:58Speaker 1: this is so realistic. Look and whoever's in charge of
- 15:01Speaker 1: the prosthetics and the special effects makeup is just one hundred.
- 15:05Speaker 1: It's so intense and so realistic. But I had I
- 15:09Speaker 1: had that thought that, oh, they couldn't do this on
- 15:11Speaker 1: a r because it's now our TV.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm blown away at the way they're able
- 15:16Speaker 4: to manage so many characters moving so consistently mean, And
- 15:20Speaker 4: that's kind of a trope of medical TV where you
- 15:23Speaker 4: have a lot of doctors and a lot of moving
- 15:24Speaker 4: parts and new patients. But because this is all taking
- 15:26Speaker 4: place in one day across the season, hour to hour,
- 15:31Speaker 4: you're so much more invested in these folks. And it's
- 15:34Speaker 4: it's just genuinely brilliant and heartbreaking and lovely and inspiring,
- 15:38Speaker 4: and it's a great show. It's a wonderful TV.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yes, do the days connect or is it just random days?
- 15:44Speaker 4: It's one day, one day for the season.
- 15:47Speaker 1: The whole season is his Yes, the whole season is
- 15:51Speaker 1: his fifteen hour shift. He's he's the lead doctor on
- 15:55Speaker 1: this er board in Pittsburgh, and he's got medical students
- 16:01Speaker 1: and residents and interns and nurses and he oversees everything.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And the waiting room is there's not a seat left
- 16:08Speaker 1: in the waiting room. It's all packed. And this is
- 16:11Speaker 1: like a typical fifteen hour shift and.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Fifteen episodes total.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's not you know what I like about it,
- 16:17Speaker 1: It's all believable. You know, went with er even though
- 16:20Speaker 1: I only didn't really watch it, but it got to
- 16:21Speaker 1: be like, you know, how could all of these crazy
- 16:24Speaker 1: things happen? This is all intense, but I think it's
- 16:28Speaker 1: completely believable in that all these things would happen in
- 16:31Speaker 1: a typical fifteen hour shift in a busy.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Er because twenty four was not believable at all. I
- 16:37Speaker 2: was a hYP show ever in the history. This motherfucker
- 16:40Speaker 2: would get shot and then two episodes later he's fine
- 16:44Speaker 2: and running, and shit, it's like, nigga, you just got
- 16:46Speaker 2: shot two hours ago.
- 16:48Speaker 3: What the fuck? They better not do that on this show.
- 16:54Speaker 3: That's all.
- 16:54Speaker 5: I never watched twenty four.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I feel like something big is going to happen though,
- 16:59Speaker 1: Oh well, I feel like they're laying foundation for something
- 17:03Speaker 1: big to occur.
- 17:04Speaker 3: I feel in the mid season.
- 17:06Speaker 4: In the mid they started off with this big revelation
- 17:09Speaker 4: that this doctor's mentor passed on this day and it's
- 17:13Speaker 4: been multiple years since he worked this specific day, and
- 17:17Speaker 4: he's really struggling to keep his composure throughout the day.
- 17:21Speaker 4: And so as that tension ramps up, you're like, is
- 17:24Speaker 4: he gonna break? Is he gonna be okay? Like you're
- 17:27Speaker 4: very I'm just a family.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Can I can I say a theory that Daniel can
- 17:31Speaker 1: beep out and you just tell your reaction. Yeah, Daniel,
- 17:34Speaker 1: do you watch the show or no?
- 17:36Speaker 9: No, not yet.
- 17:36Speaker 1: You should watch it, Donald, you should watch it I
- 17:39Speaker 1: know you won't. All right, just beep this out. But
- 17:41Speaker 1: I have a theory that.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Well, I am not emotionally prepared for that, Zach, but
- 17:46Speaker 4: they are really like they went really hard.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Wait but don't, don't, don't, don't don't do that. Don't
- 17:53Speaker 1: but I don't go to the spoiler. But don't you
- 17:55Speaker 1: think that that it would be an insane possibility.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I think it would break my heart. But this show
- 18:01Speaker 4: seems very concerned about the emotional and mental health of
- 18:05Speaker 4: us as a country, and that is an quintessential element
- 18:09Speaker 4: of our emotional health, and so it seems appropriate that
- 18:12Speaker 4: they venture down that way. But I'm just not I'm
- 18:13Speaker 4: not ready. Oh God, can we get I can't?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Oh can we get Noah?
- 18:19Speaker 4: We've sent so I'm getting to hear back.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I really want to know since we've since this podcast
- 18:23Speaker 1: has become an ad for the pit, I really would
- 18:25Speaker 1: love to get Noah whiley on the show. Another reason
- 18:29Speaker 1: why I talk to Noah whiley is that he's just
- 18:31Speaker 1: you know, there's so many incredible actors that that you
- 18:35Speaker 1: go here, what happened to them? And I don't really
- 18:37Speaker 1: know what. I'm sure know Whyley's been working and I'm
- 18:39Speaker 1: sure he's Yeah, I know. I'm just saying he hasn't
- 18:42Speaker 1: been on my radar. That's all I'm saying. I love
- 18:45Speaker 1: him as an actor, always have. He hasn't been on
- 18:47Speaker 1: my raidar. I'm sure he's working, I'm sure he's a
- 18:49Speaker 1: family all the things. But I'm just so happy that
- 18:51Speaker 1: he's front and center and starring the Great Show again
- 18:54Speaker 1: because he's so talented. Yes, Daniel, all right, let him jen.
- 19:03Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 19:04Speaker 10: We made about a bunch of talks and nurses and
- 19:08Speaker 10: the janitor.
- 19:10Speaker 11: I said he's the Stormies nets. So yetta round you here,
- 19:18Speaker 11: yeada round you here.
- 19:20Speaker 3: We I haven't slept. I'm having a hard time sleeping. Man.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Last night kind of fucked me up between you between
- 19:31Speaker 2: squid games because.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Your lights are all off. No, bro, I'm going to
- 19:35Speaker 1: send you a ring light for Christmas.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I'd like that.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Actually, do you need a ring light? Don't you have
- 19:41Speaker 4: a ring light?
- 19:41Speaker 5: I thought you had a ring light? He won't use it,
- 19:44Speaker 5: but one.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Hey, what up, big Zach?
- 19:56Speaker 8: Howdy? How's it going?
- 19:58Speaker 5: Man?
- 19:58Speaker 3: Howdy that guys?
- 20:00Speaker 8: Do you guys need a second to finish your ring
- 20:02Speaker 8: light conversation?
- 20:04Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 20:04Speaker 1: We see how you can barely see Donald. I really
- 20:06Speaker 1: would like to be able to take.
- 20:08Speaker 8: A handsome I see how I can barely see him?
- 20:10Speaker 5: Yeah, well I can see me.
- 20:13Speaker 3: And y'all get you know what, It's not going to
- 20:15Speaker 3: look like that when you.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Producer Joel Monique is offering to send him a ring light,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and I know Donald well enough to know that that
- 20:21Speaker 1: ring light will not leave the cardboard box.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Yeah, well I'll use it on my animation. That's all.
- 20:27Speaker 6: Yeah, Zach, Welcome, Welcome, Aloha.
- 20:38Speaker 8: Aloha as well to you.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Zach.
- 20:41Speaker 5: We're so happy to have you. Man.
- 20:43Speaker 1: We have been obsessively talking about Severance like so many people,
- 20:48Speaker 1: and I'm just I'm really so happy for you.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Man.
- 20:49Speaker 1: You're on a giant monster hit of a TV show.
- 20:52Speaker 8: Thanks. Thanks, I'm I'm very excited. I'm huge fans of
- 20:57Speaker 8: of both of yours, so this is truly appreciate you.
- 21:01Speaker 1: We appreciate you, man. We were just talking about Before
- 21:05Speaker 1: we get to Severn's, I just want to talk for
- 21:06Speaker 1: a second about the Spider Man do a flip thing,
- 21:09Speaker 1: because I have a tribute question for you that not
- 21:11Speaker 1: a lot of people would get unless you're a film geek.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Is the man standing next to you radio Man.
- 21:19Speaker 8: Uh My answer is I think so, but I need
- 21:23Speaker 8: you to provide more context for who is radio Man?
- 21:26Speaker 1: So I got it, Okay, I just thought it might
- 21:27Speaker 1: be obvious, yes, but it probably is. All right, So
- 21:30Speaker 1: for anyone who works in film in New York and
- 21:33Speaker 1: New York City, did you shoot in New York City
- 21:34Speaker 1: that scene?
- 21:35Speaker 5: Okay?
- 21:36Speaker 1: There's a guy named radio Man who I believe was
- 21:39Speaker 1: the inspiration for Robin Williams in What's that movie? H
- 21:44Speaker 1: help me? He's almost Come.
- 21:46Speaker 3: On, man, I like New York in June. How about you?
- 21:49Speaker 3: The Fisher King.
- 21:50Speaker 1: The Fisher King, and he is a very unique individual.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He is obsessed with.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Movies and he's obsessed with.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Production.
- 22:05Speaker 1: For two he shows films and he shows up to sets.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He is always carrying.
- 22:08Speaker 3: A radio, a bike in a radio.
- 22:11Speaker 1: He rides a bicycle. He has a radio around his neck.
- 22:15Speaker 1: People often think he's a almost person, but I believe
- 22:19Speaker 1: he isn't. But he is a very interesting character anyway,
- 22:23Speaker 1: if you talk to him, he knows everyone's names. He
- 22:25Speaker 1: shows up on sets and a lot of directors know him.
- 22:28Speaker 1: A lot of actors know him because he's on every
- 22:30Speaker 1: set in New York and they give him cameos, and
- 22:33Speaker 1: so he's in lots and lots of films. He's in
- 22:35Speaker 1: my film Going in Style, He's he's in many, many,
- 22:40Speaker 1: minut any films.
- 22:41Speaker 5: You can google this.
- 22:42Speaker 1: If you're confused and this doesn't making sense, just google
- 22:44Speaker 1: radio Man, New York City. But when I was watching
- 22:47Speaker 1: that clip of you, there's a guy that looks a
- 22:49Speaker 1: lot like him holding a radio, and I said, I
- 22:51Speaker 1: think that's radio Man.
- 22:52Speaker 8: So I do have an answer, and it's actually a
- 22:55Speaker 8: maybe even a deeper dive trivia fact, it is not
- 22:59Speaker 8: radio And it's a guy named Kirk Thatcher who he
- 23:04Speaker 8: appears in a Star Trek movie as the same character
- 23:09Speaker 8: he appears in my Spider Man clip. A guy as
- 23:13Speaker 8: a guy holding a boombox, and he's like, I think
- 23:17Speaker 8: he has something to do with the hens In company
- 23:18Speaker 8: he worked with, Like, he's directed a bunch of commercials
- 23:21Speaker 8: with muppets, and he was telling me on set about
- 23:24Speaker 8: directing like Miss Piggy and stuff like that. Also, a
- 23:27Speaker 8: really interesting guy also has ties to a radio I
- 23:32Speaker 8: believe a different gentleman.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Okay, that's bizarre, but and whoever cast him definitely said
- 23:38Speaker 1: showed him a picture of radio man and said be
- 23:40Speaker 1: like this because that's uh, that's who radio man is.
- 23:44Speaker 1: But what that must have been crazy? But I just
- 23:46Speaker 1: watched your segment on Colbert. We were very funny going
- 23:49Speaker 1: to Comic Con. Was that How did that call about?
- 23:53Speaker 1: And were you surprised when that when that little clip
- 23:56Speaker 1: went so viral?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Zach? How did you crack the code? Tell us how
- 24:00Speaker 3: you cracked.
- 24:02Speaker 2: There are so many actors like yourself who want to
- 24:05Speaker 2: crack the code, and.
- 24:07Speaker 3: You did it. What did you do?
- 24:11Speaker 8: I have no idea. I was shocked.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Uh.
- 24:14Speaker 8: I mean, it was like really exciting to get to
- 24:16Speaker 8: do that, that tiny little thing. But then it has
- 24:19Speaker 8: been surprising a the level of response I got and
- 24:23Speaker 8: be the staying power where I still get people who
- 24:26Speaker 8: will yell do a flip to me, just like randomly.
- 24:30Speaker 8: The Colbert thing came about also sort of randomly where
- 24:35Speaker 8: I was performing at the UCB Theater in New York
- 24:37Speaker 8: at the time. And I think that Colbert writers just
- 24:41Speaker 8: had an idea for a segment. They didn't have me
- 24:44Speaker 8: in mind in particular, but they had an idea of
- 24:46Speaker 8: they wanted to send someone who was a small character
- 24:49Speaker 8: in a Marvel project to Comic Con. And like really
- 24:54Speaker 8: have them pretend that they were very important. And so
- 24:57Speaker 8: the artistic director emailed me and was like, it kind
- 25:01Speaker 8: of seems like, you know, you're the guy for this,
- 25:04Speaker 8: and I was like, yeah, absolutely, and it was it
- 25:07Speaker 8: was very surprising and uh strange to have the entire
- 25:12Speaker 8: sort of like Colbert mechanism operating behind me because of
- 25:16Speaker 8: this one line basically that I said in a.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Well, we're the perfect person because of your UCB background.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I thought you were. You were riffing with all those
- 25:24Speaker 1: people and you were so funny. I mean, I was like,
- 25:25Speaker 1: I want to see more segments of this, like I'd
- 25:27Speaker 1: watch more of this Man on the street.
- 25:30Speaker 8: They definitely wanted someone who had like an improvved background
- 25:33Speaker 8: for it.
- 25:34Speaker 2: But your character now has its own, Like there are
- 25:36Speaker 2: people who are creating your character's own backstory.
- 25:39Speaker 3: And stuff like that, like you know what I mean,
- 25:41Speaker 3: Like you could connect it to Shang Chi also, you
- 25:44Speaker 3: know what I mean?
- 25:44Speaker 1: Yeah, people are people are people ruminating that that's the
- 25:47Speaker 1: same guy.
- 25:49Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, And and the and the truth is, I
- 25:51Speaker 8: don't know if it is the same because because they're
- 25:56Speaker 8: so you know, they keep thinking so under wraps. But
- 26:00Speaker 8: I think it is very rare to appear in multiple
- 26:04Speaker 8: Marvel Universe things as different people. So yeah, I genuinely
- 26:10Speaker 8: don't know.
- 26:10Speaker 1: So that character moved to San Francisco or.
- 26:13Speaker 8: He was vacationing, who knows.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Let's take a break.
- 26:22Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. Well, tell
- 26:31Speaker 1: us about Severn's please, because it's so crazy and unique.
- 26:36Speaker 1: And what was your We'll just first tell us what
- 26:38Speaker 1: was your audition process? Like, how did how did it
- 26:41Speaker 1: come about that you you got cast by uh, you know,
- 26:44Speaker 1: Ben Stiller for this incredible show.
- 26:46Speaker 8: For that, I sent him a tape and I think
- 26:49Speaker 8: Ben had maybe seen I think he had seen I'm
- 26:53Speaker 8: in one episode of Succession, like sort of very briefly,
- 26:58Speaker 8: and I think he had seen and had seen some
- 27:01Speaker 8: of my other kind of comedy stuff. So I sent
- 27:05Speaker 8: in a tape for the part, and then got brought
- 27:08Speaker 8: in in person with him and Dan Erickson, who are
- 27:11Speaker 8: the who's the creator of the show, and and Ben
- 27:15Speaker 8: sort of just had me like again, my my improv
- 27:19Speaker 8: background came into effect where he was like, let's kind
- 27:22Speaker 8: of like play around with the scene and riff a
- 27:23Speaker 8: little bit, because I think he was looking to, you know,
- 27:27Speaker 8: he always wanted the show to have a little bit
- 27:29Speaker 8: of an office comedy feel to it, especially in the
- 27:33Speaker 8: segments in the office in that first season, so I
- 27:36Speaker 8: think he kind of wanted to just, you know, see
- 27:39Speaker 8: what that would be.
- 27:40Speaker 1: And then.
- 27:41Speaker 8: And then our show has historically long processes, where the
- 27:48Speaker 8: first season we were about to go into production, and
- 27:50Speaker 8: then COVID happened, and then our second season was interrupted
- 27:53Speaker 8: by the strikes and everything. But so after auditioning, it
- 27:55Speaker 8: took quite a while to actually to get in there
- 27:58Speaker 8: and get started. But as soon as we did, it
- 28:01Speaker 8: was like, Oh, I think we're making something really cool
- 28:03Speaker 8: and weird.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Did you well, it's funny. I'm a funny story. I
- 28:07Speaker 1: was sent the pilot to read audition for the part
- 28:10Speaker 1: that Adam got, and it is incredible at and is
- 28:14Speaker 1: so so brilliant in but I didn't really understand it.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I remember reading it and being like, I don't know
- 28:21Speaker 1: if I could do this because I don't really know
- 28:23Speaker 1: what's happening. When you when you first read it, were
- 28:26Speaker 1: you like what it's very hard to describe what the
- 28:29Speaker 1: show is.
- 28:30Speaker 8: It is very hard to describe. I like pretty quickly
- 28:34Speaker 8: liked it and was like, Ooh, I think this is
- 28:36Speaker 8: my kind of show, Like, I think this is something
- 28:40Speaker 8: I would love to watch. But as we were making
- 28:43Speaker 8: it and then before the first season was coming out,
- 28:45Speaker 8: it was really hard to describe it to like friends
- 28:48Speaker 8: or anyone and be like, well, it's like it's kind
- 28:52Speaker 8: of a sci fi show but only a little bit,
- 28:54Speaker 8: and like it is funny, but it's also scary and
- 28:57Speaker 8: it's you know, it is kind of hard to pin down,
- 29:02Speaker 8: but I knew I liked the vibe of it.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys have incredible chemistry. I mean, the four
- 29:08Speaker 1: of you together, and and I feel like you do
- 29:11Speaker 1: have a lot of the laughs. I feel like you're
- 29:13Speaker 1: kind of like the comic relief to everybody else's straight men.
- 29:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I think I think, uh, we do have a
- 29:22Speaker 8: really fun chemistry and dynamic and a lot of that
- 29:25Speaker 8: I do think came from the like unusual circumstances of
- 29:29Speaker 8: the first season of We were like one of the
- 29:31Speaker 8: first shows back when COVID happened, So it was this
- 29:35Speaker 8: very weird time of like, you know, you were in
- 29:37Speaker 8: masks and you also had these face shields that you
- 29:39Speaker 8: weren't under the netch like a dog, you know those
- 29:43Speaker 8: collars dogs a collar. Yeah, like it was. It was
- 29:47Speaker 8: very strange, and the only people who would ever take
- 29:50Speaker 8: their masks off were the actors in the scenes, so
- 29:53Speaker 8: like we would go all day only seeing each other's faces,
- 29:57Speaker 8: you know.
- 29:57Speaker 1: So, yeah, you don't see the crew at all.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Yeah, at all.
- 30:00Speaker 3: It was.
- 30:00Speaker 8: It was very strange, But I do think that kind
- 30:02Speaker 8: of helped accelerate our sort of comfort level and like
- 30:07Speaker 8: intimacy because it was it was really weird. But it's
- 30:10Speaker 8: also such a great group that, uh, I think it's
- 30:15Speaker 8: like that also makes it easy. It's such a great
- 30:16Speaker 8: group of performers and also people. Everyone is like really
- 30:19Speaker 8: fun to be around, and it's great. It's my I'm
- 30:22Speaker 8: so lucky.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Zach, do you remember the COVID times when you were
- 30:25Speaker 2: working on sets and didn't know what Like you could
- 30:28Speaker 2: run into people from work at a bar and not
- 30:32Speaker 2: know who the fuck they were because they had masks
- 30:34Speaker 2: on all the time. Do you remember that, Like, I'm
- 30:37Speaker 2: just I'm sure. I'm sure Zach Braft too, I'm sure
- 30:40Speaker 2: you both remember this time.
- 30:42Speaker 8: We got to we need a nomenclature.
- 30:44Speaker 1: For which Zach Zach Graft and Zach Cherry both know.
- 30:47Speaker 5: Yeah, that was really weird.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I remember directing something right in the beginning of COVID
- 30:52Speaker 1: where they that where everyone had the yeah, like Zach saying,
- 30:58Speaker 1: not only have a mask, but have a shield, and
- 31:01Speaker 1: then only the actor could. I mean, what a surreal
- 31:04Speaker 1: crazy time.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Now it was nutty time, bro. And did you guys
- 31:08Speaker 2: have to stop in the middle of shooting till.
- 31:10Speaker 1: The people get COVID when you were shooting.
- 31:12Speaker 8: Uh, I don't think we had any like full on
- 31:15Speaker 8: shutdowns we got. We got pretty lucky. But like you
- 31:20Speaker 8: were saying, I do remember not only not recognizing people,
- 31:22Speaker 8: but when you did finally see their face, you I
- 31:25Speaker 8: would have invented a whole different face under their masks,
- 31:29Speaker 8: just like yes, and that's what I thought they looked like.
- 31:32Speaker 8: And then they take their mask off and you'd be like, oh, okay,
- 31:35Speaker 8: you're not way off. Yeah, you're not a person who
- 31:38Speaker 8: I've been having conversations with.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember I had a first a d I
- 31:42Speaker 1: was working with for a long time, and I just
- 31:44Speaker 1: never saw the bottom I did, never saw anything but
- 31:46Speaker 1: his eyes. And then I saw him without his mask.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that's not that was not my guest, No, nothing.
- 31:51Speaker 8: Surprise mustache has shown up and yeah, I.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Want to ask you about this set. Is the set
- 31:58Speaker 1: for this show enormous, because if it's not, they sure
- 32:01Speaker 1: do make it seem endless and enormous.
- 32:03Speaker 8: And is it an homage to THX that I don't know.
- 32:07Speaker 8: That would be a question for Dan and Ben. It
- 32:12Speaker 8: is pretty enormous. Like the hallways, there are a lot
- 32:14Speaker 8: of hallways, even more even more this season than last season.
- 32:19Speaker 8: But it's also it's like a labyrinth where all the hallways.
- 32:25Speaker 8: Sometimes it'll be a doorway and then sometimes they'll put
- 32:29Speaker 8: in a wall there, or sometimes you could get around
- 32:32Speaker 8: this way, but then now you know, so it's always
- 32:35Speaker 8: moving and changing kind of like you know it really
- 32:39Speaker 8: it is sort of disorienting, like being in the office
- 32:41Speaker 8: on the show. It it really helps you be like, I.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Can't find how they put that all together. Because I
- 32:47Speaker 1: want to point the audience to the opening shot of
- 32:49Speaker 1: season two, which if you just watching the show, you
- 32:52Speaker 1: might go, wow, that's cool, but go watch a video
- 32:55Speaker 1: on YouTube about how they executed it. I mean, it
- 32:58Speaker 1: just it's hard to describe vibe what they did. And
- 33:02Speaker 1: I saw it. I was so interested because I'm a
- 33:04Speaker 1: film geek. I saw an interview with Ben and talking
- 33:08Speaker 1: about how they shot this opening shot over the course
- 33:12Speaker 1: of about five months or so. The whole time they
- 33:15Speaker 1: were working on the show. They would just get little bits,
- 33:17Speaker 1: but it's all made to look like a Wonner with
- 33:19Speaker 1: these stitches. You can't see. Some of it's a robotic arm,
- 33:22Speaker 1: some of it's running with a tiny little Sony FX three.
- 33:26Speaker 1: It's all these techniques that they used, but they but
- 33:30Speaker 1: and a lot of its effects and Adam running on
- 33:33Speaker 1: a treadmill and just all this stuff. But it's stitched
- 33:35Speaker 1: together so seamlessly that it looks like this epic Wonner.
- 33:40Speaker 2: And it's just a shot where his face kind of
- 33:41Speaker 2: shakes hand and then he starts running through the hallways
- 33:44Speaker 2: and stuff like that.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 8: Fuck, And I will say, while we were shooting the season,
- 33:49Speaker 8: I don't think I really knew that they were shooting
- 33:51Speaker 8: that over the course of so many months. So there
- 33:55Speaker 8: were days where I would just come in and Adam
- 33:57Speaker 8: would be running on a treadmill and I like, what
- 34:01Speaker 8: is what is happening here? I did not know that
- 34:03Speaker 8: they were like working all on that one that one shot.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Basically, it's so I mean, the show is beautifully photographed,
- 34:10Speaker 1: every like the framing and Ben Ben and your dps.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Does Ben direct every episode or noo uh?
- 34:17Speaker 8: He directs. He directed five of the ten in season
- 34:20Speaker 8: two and I think six of the nine in season one,
- 34:22Speaker 8: so he directs about half quite a bit.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Well everyone, everyone, uh, everyone creating the look in addition
- 34:29Speaker 1: to the wonderful actors, but the look, the way it shot,
- 34:31Speaker 1: the cinematography, and just just really cool, unique choices, and
- 34:36Speaker 1: anyone who's interested in film, first of all, watched Severance,
- 34:40Speaker 1: but also check out that shot because it it's just
- 34:43Speaker 1: kind of like groundbreaking. I thought in how you can
- 34:46Speaker 1: hide stitches in these days and make it look make
- 34:48Speaker 1: things look like the camera never cut. I mean, it's
- 34:51Speaker 1: just really really cool.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Zach did you have it?
- 34:53Speaker 1: I'm an Ilma worked on that. Sorry, go ahead, Donald,
- 34:56Speaker 1: you need to see Zach Brafforzac Cherry.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Zach Cherry. Did you have a favorite Ben Stiller project
- 35:01Speaker 2: before auditioning for this?
- 35:06Speaker 8: I mean a lot of them. I love I love
- 35:09Speaker 8: Meet to Parents, I love Tropic Thunder. I also I
- 35:13Speaker 8: low key, even though I'm like a little too old
- 35:16Speaker 8: for this, I love The Night at the Museum movies
- 35:18Speaker 8: like they they came out when I was already, Like,
- 35:22Speaker 8: you know, this isn't for me necessarily, but the scenes
- 35:25Speaker 8: with him and that little monkey are are particular favorites
- 35:29Speaker 8: for me.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I have two movies that I love of his, and
- 35:32Speaker 2: not a lot of people say these movies. One is
- 35:34Speaker 2: Flirting with Disaster, which I think is fucking a phenomenal movie.
- 35:39Speaker 2: And then he directed a movie with him Winona Ryder,
- 35:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, how I forget Ethan Hawk? Janine Garofalo
- 35:49Speaker 2: Reality Bites, Reality Bites, Oh, that's one of my favorites
- 35:54Speaker 2: of his from back in the day. And then the
- 35:56Speaker 2: Cable Guy also, man, like, holy shit, dude, who knew.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I mean, the dude's a genius though. Man, he's a
- 36:04Speaker 2: comedic genius in a lot of ways and tells great stories.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Was that in the back of your mind when you auditioned.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Was that something that you were like, I gotta get
- 36:12Speaker 2: this part because I know I'm gonna work with somebody
- 36:14Speaker 2: who has a real voice in Hollywood.
- 36:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, it was definitely like exciting, and he's
- 36:22Speaker 8: someone who I would say, you know, comedically, has had
- 36:28Speaker 8: a big impact on me. You know, like I watched
- 36:30Speaker 8: all of his stuff coming up as I was kind
- 36:33Speaker 8: of like figuring out what I thought was funny. So
- 36:35Speaker 8: it was very like pressure isn't the exact word, but
- 36:41Speaker 8: it's sort of surreal. You're like, oh, here I am
- 36:44Speaker 8: in this room with this guy who is like a
- 36:46Speaker 8: part of my mental makeup, you know, and then for
- 36:51Speaker 8: it to be on such a strange show that isn't
- 36:54Speaker 8: really necessarily a comedy all the time and is often
- 36:57Speaker 8: not at all. I do sometimes when we're doing our
- 37:03Speaker 8: sort of like serious stuff, I do sometimes wish I
- 37:05Speaker 8: could get to work with him on like one of
- 37:08Speaker 8: his pure kind of silly comedies to see what he
- 37:11Speaker 8: you know, to see if he operates in the same way.
- 37:14Speaker 8: But yeah, that was definitely in my mind.
- 37:16Speaker 1: As as when you put it like that, it's like,
- 37:19Speaker 1: here's a guy who's, you know, one of the most
- 37:21Speaker 1: successful comic actor directors alive, and he chose you to
- 37:26Speaker 1: be the comic relief of the show.
- 37:28Speaker 5: That's pretty cool.
- 37:30Speaker 8: It is he he his trust in me has been
- 37:35Speaker 8: very very meaningful, very cool, very very exciting.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Let's take a break.
- 37:39Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. Daniel and Joelle,
- 37:50Speaker 1: I know you're big fans of the show. Do you
- 37:51Speaker 1: have any severance questions? You'd like to ask Zach. He's
- 37:54Speaker 1: not going to give you spoilers, just so you know.
- 37:56Speaker 8: I might.
- 37:57Speaker 5: You might.
- 37:57Speaker 9: Oh shit, Joel, do you want to go first? I
- 38:00Speaker 9: definitely got one, but if you want to go, I also.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Have Uh, okay, yeah I can go. Thank you, Daniel.
- 38:05Speaker 4: I wanted to ask you. You have a big hero
- 38:07Speaker 4: moment towards the end of season one, and I think
- 38:11Speaker 4: for actors, getting moments like that is kind of rare
- 38:14Speaker 4: and really juicy, unless you're like an action star and
- 38:16Speaker 4: you're constantly kind of fed those. And I wondered for you,
- 38:19Speaker 4: you know, did you get a heads up about that
- 38:22Speaker 4: or did you learn about it when you were reading
- 38:23Speaker 4: this script and then when you stepped in to perform it.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Did you feel any pressure? Was it different for you
- 38:28Speaker 4: for a difference. I don't want to spoil it for
- 38:30Speaker 4: people who haven't seen, but it's like a very epic,
- 38:32Speaker 4: cool moment that's sort of everything that's been built up
- 38:34Speaker 4: in the seas and hinges on.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Sure.
- 38:37Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, you know, the really cool thing about
- 38:39Speaker 8: this show for me, especially as someone who has sort
- 38:44Speaker 8: of my bread and butter, has been like Spiderman do
- 38:47Speaker 8: flip type roles where I pop in and I, you know,
- 38:51Speaker 8: say something silly and then I'm kind of out of there.
- 38:53Speaker 8: It has been really cool on this show to get
- 38:55Speaker 8: to do more than that, so I I do still
- 38:59Speaker 8: get to have a lot of fun and and have
- 39:00Speaker 8: a lot of funny stuff going on, but they really
- 39:04Speaker 8: have like allowed me to uh show some different sides
- 39:08Speaker 8: of things I've just never been asked to do before.
- 39:11Speaker 8: And yeah, that moment was I think I knew about
- 39:15Speaker 8: it pretty early on and it was cool and exciting.
- 39:18Speaker 8: And then the process of shooting it was a little
- 39:23Speaker 8: difficult because it's like it's a situation that my character
- 39:26Speaker 8: is exhibiting a lot of endurance that that's what I'll say,
- 39:31Speaker 8: a non spoilery way of talking about it. And like
- 39:34Speaker 8: obviously I didn't have to really be there for the
- 39:37Speaker 8: entire time, but it did. I was extremely sore the
- 39:41Speaker 8: next day.
- 39:44Speaker 1: All Right, Dale, are you going to ask your fast
- 39:46Speaker 1: food question?
- 39:47Speaker 5: That's what I know.
- 39:49Speaker 9: I was telling the guys earlier that as well as
- 39:50Speaker 9: a big fan of your appearance on all these TV shows,
- 39:53Speaker 9: I'm a huge dough Boys fan and you are just
- 39:55Speaker 9: you know, a top tier guest already on.
- 39:57Speaker 1: The appreciate that but Dan Daniel, sorry, but before you
- 40:02Speaker 1: move on, dough Boys is about fast food, yes, and Zach,
- 40:06Speaker 1: are you as fast food aficionado?
- 40:08Speaker 7: Uh?
- 40:09Speaker 8: I'm I guess honestly, yeah, I was gonna try. I
- 40:13Speaker 8: was gonna try and say no.
- 40:14Speaker 1: But can we ask you? I know this isn't a
- 40:23Speaker 1: fast food pious. So what's your like if your go
- 40:25Speaker 1: to you can have any meal at any of the restaurants,
- 40:27Speaker 1: what would it be?
- 40:28Speaker 8: Taco Bell is for sure, for sure my go to.
- 40:31Speaker 8: I'm a few years ago I started, I became vegetarian,
- 40:36Speaker 8: and so Taco Bell is like the number especially for vegetarians,
- 40:40Speaker 8: the number one spot. They'll let you swap beans or
- 40:46Speaker 8: potatoes for anything at Taco Bell. So even if they're like,
- 40:51Speaker 8: we have this chicken enchilada that only the only it's
- 40:55Speaker 8: on the menu says chicken, you can go in there
- 40:58Speaker 8: and put in beans.
- 41:00Speaker 9: Exciting for you vegetarians who want us a very customizable place.
- 41:05Speaker 5: All right, go ahead.
- 41:06Speaker 9: Yeah, my question was related to severance though, So you know,
- 41:09Speaker 9: the image of the office in TV and media is
- 41:12Speaker 9: like very well worn territory, and your role is the
- 41:15Speaker 9: comic relief is is always one of the best parts
- 41:18Speaker 9: of the kind of office setting. And my question for
- 41:21Speaker 9: you is what parts of your character were inspired by
- 41:25Speaker 9: other kind of office comics, and what parts of your
- 41:28Speaker 9: character do you think were original creation from you.
- 41:31Speaker 8: Hmm, that's a good question. You know, there was nothing
- 41:34Speaker 8: I was like intentionally pulling from. Honestly, it was more
- 41:41Speaker 8: it was more just pulled from like a type a
- 41:44Speaker 8: type of annoying guy that I know, you know, like like, yeah,
- 41:49Speaker 8: I think there's just there's certain types of guys who
- 41:54Speaker 8: who just have a level of confidence that so outstrips
- 41:59Speaker 8: their level of not knowledge or really you know. Yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 8: I just found that kind of interesting that this guy who,
- 42:09Speaker 8: especially this character who literally is essentially a child, like
- 42:13Speaker 8: he doesn't really know anything, but he's so sure of
- 42:16Speaker 8: the things that he believes he knows. I just thought
- 42:20Speaker 8: that was like really fun to to kind of play
- 42:22Speaker 8: around with that.
- 42:23Speaker 3: You just described me to a team.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I don't really know anything, but I'm so passionate about
- 42:29Speaker 2: things I believe.
- 42:30Speaker 8: I mean me too.
- 42:32Speaker 1: It's funny because I've been watching the Office and it's
- 42:35Speaker 1: a funny thing to bounce back and forth between the
- 42:37Speaker 1: Office and Severance.
- 42:39Speaker 5: I think that's what you're leading to.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Dane is obviously completely different tones, but there is overlap
- 42:45Speaker 1: in some places that that's that's that's pretty funny with
- 42:47Speaker 1: them cubicles.
- 42:50Speaker 8: Yeah, and I'm sure that was intentional on Ben and
- 42:52Speaker 8: Dan's part. Like I do know, Ben has talked a
- 42:55Speaker 8: lot about how he he wanted to ground it in
- 42:58Speaker 8: the like office sitcom world very much.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Yeah, go ahead, you all.
- 43:03Speaker 4: I was gonna ask about having John Taturo as like
- 43:06Speaker 4: a scene partner. I think he's like one of the
- 43:08Speaker 4: all time great It's like when you see like he's
- 43:10Speaker 4: gonna be in a project, you're like, oh, this is
- 43:12Speaker 4: about to be elevated as hell. Like he's so funny,
- 43:14Speaker 4: but he gets the drab stuff, and you guys have
- 43:16Speaker 4: some really like both intense and comedic moments here. I think,
- 43:20Speaker 4: like you, he's so good at swinging back and forth
- 43:22Speaker 4: between like very intense drama and like hysterics. What's so
- 43:25Speaker 4: like working with such an icon?
- 43:28Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean it's like, so I feel so lucky
- 43:32Speaker 8: on this show because John and Ben and Adam all
- 43:36Speaker 8: have such a history of of comedic chops but also
- 43:42Speaker 8: you know, other things. So it's been really cool to
- 43:44Speaker 8: kind of like, uh, I don't know if I I
- 43:47Speaker 8: don't know if they have taken me under their wing,
- 43:50Speaker 8: but I've put myself under their wing.
- 43:52Speaker 5: I think they've taken you under their way.
- 43:53Speaker 8: I wiggled my way under there. And I think John, especially,
- 43:58Speaker 8: I've just like learned so much from about He's so
- 44:01Speaker 8: prepared and he's so professional, but he's also so good
- 44:05Speaker 8: to be around on set, and he takes care of
- 44:07Speaker 8: everyone so well. It's been very amazing working with him,
- 44:11Speaker 8: and with him in particular, I'm like obsessed with the
- 44:15Speaker 8: show Monk which John appears on but only in two
- 44:19Speaker 8: and a half episodes, So like I was like super
- 44:23Speaker 8: geeked out about that and and had to pretend I
- 44:28Speaker 8: wasn't obsessive about it for like a month, and then
- 44:31Speaker 8: finally I was like, hey, John, I love the show
- 44:36Speaker 8: Monk Man. You have no idea. And I started talking
- 44:38Speaker 8: to him about there's all these novels that came out
- 44:41Speaker 8: where his character continues on and I was like, they
- 44:43Speaker 8: wrote these books and your care and he was like, Okay,
- 44:46Speaker 8: thank you.
- 44:47Speaker 2: About does he even remember being all his roles?
- 44:51Speaker 8: You're like, he definitely remembers being on it, because I
- 44:55Speaker 8: think him and Tony Shaloubar are close, but he does
- 44:59Speaker 8: not care about it as much as I do.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Is he a lot like the character he plays? I've
- 45:04Speaker 1: never met him, but I wonder if you, like I.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Christopher Walkin's a guy who I always was in a
- 45:09Speaker 1: similar place with, Like I just adore him, and then
- 45:11Speaker 1: I finally got to work with him, I go, oh it'
- 45:13Speaker 1: it's kind of the same guy.
- 45:16Speaker 8: I think definitely in some ways, in the sense that,
- 45:19Speaker 8: like you know, his character, there's like a gentleness about him.
- 45:25Speaker 8: And I do think that John has that that gentleness,
- 45:29Speaker 8: which which I don't. You know, a lot of his
- 45:31Speaker 8: roles are not that gentle. A lot of his roles are,
- 45:35Speaker 8: you know, sort of very different than that. But but
- 45:38Speaker 8: I do think that part of him is is for
- 45:40Speaker 8: sure in there.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Yeah, he's so interesting to watch. You and I share
- 45:46Speaker 1: something in common in that we both well yours. I
- 45:48Speaker 1: don't know how long ago you adopted a rescue.
- 45:51Speaker 8: Pup, about a year ago, a little over a year ago.
- 45:54Speaker 1: I just did myself. I foster failed, I thought I
- 45:58Speaker 1: was going to successfully foster, and then I fell in love.
- 46:02Speaker 1: But how's that going for you? How's having a dog
- 46:05Speaker 1: in the city?
- 46:05Speaker 5: Are you are? You're in Brooklyn or Bushwick.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, Brooklyn.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Okay, sorry, I want to bring be able to bring
- 46:15Speaker 1: my dog back and forth. But it's it's a tricky
- 46:17Speaker 1: to have a dog in the city, isn't it.
- 46:20Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, and we also we have we also
- 46:23Speaker 8: have other things in common. I thought I didn't know
- 46:25Speaker 8: what you were going to say because we share the
- 46:26Speaker 8: same name. I also grew up in New Jersey. So
- 46:30Speaker 8: the hits are just really adding.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Up from Jersey with a rusty dog who's funny as fuck.
- 46:35Speaker 5: Just kidding about the last one.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Do you want to cut the last part?
- 46:40Speaker 1: I don't want to brag, brag, double.
- 46:43Speaker 8: It, double down. It's but it's it's great. She's great.
- 46:49Speaker 8: She she came up from Kentucky. Uh is really all
- 46:52Speaker 8: we know about her. So it was like a big
- 46:54Speaker 8: adjustment for her. For sure, the noises of the city
- 46:59Speaker 8: she was not a fan of. Yeah, the people of
- 47:03Speaker 8: the city. She was not a fan of the dogs
- 47:05Speaker 8: of the city. She was not not a fan of.
- 47:08Speaker 1: That's what I'm worried about, is like the adjustment to
- 47:10Speaker 1: like so much stimuli for my dog, who'd be like,
- 47:12Speaker 1: what what the fuck is going on?
- 47:14Speaker 8: You know, we've had her for a little over a
- 47:15Speaker 8: year now, and it's like gotten so much better. She
- 47:17Speaker 8: now has a little group of dog friends that she
- 47:21Speaker 8: sees every morning that she's so excited for, and she
- 47:24Speaker 8: doesn't she used to. I mean, I'm shocked she's been
- 47:28Speaker 8: asleep this whole time. Six months ago, it would have
- 47:30Speaker 8: been impossible for me to do a podcast with her
- 47:33Speaker 8: in the house because any noise she was like losing
- 47:37Speaker 8: her shit. So the progress is the truth is right here.
- 47:42Speaker 1: My rescue pup is looking at me like if I
- 47:44Speaker 1: could put subtitles onto her face, it would be I'm
- 47:47Speaker 1: so fucking bored. I mean to do something.
- 47:51Speaker 8: In some ways, that's a win.
- 47:53Speaker 5: I know, my dog.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I feel like guilty because I like want to I
- 47:56Speaker 1: realize this is not healthy, and this is I'd have
- 47:58Speaker 1: to work on this if I was a parent. But
- 47:59Speaker 1: it's it's like I want to be like, am I
- 48:01Speaker 1: being fun enough for you? Like, I know we just
- 48:04Speaker 1: went on a walk, but like and I know I
- 48:06Speaker 1: rescued you from a horrible existence, but like, should I
- 48:09Speaker 1: be entertaining you more?
- 48:10Speaker 8: Like I relate to that thoroughly, thoroughly.
- 48:15Speaker 5: Yeah, how did.
- 48:17Speaker 3: You come with the name Shrek?
- 48:21Speaker 8: You know, my wife and I for We've lived in
- 48:24Speaker 8: this apartment for a while and for a long time, uh,
- 48:28Speaker 8: you know, we kind of weren't supposed to have pets,
- 48:30Speaker 8: and my wife had these two stuffed animals that I,
- 48:33Speaker 8: without consulting with her, named Shrek and Donkey, and I
- 48:39Speaker 8: would just be like, Hey, that's Shrek, and a's Donkey.
- 48:42Speaker 8: And then eventually we started kind of joking that when
- 48:46Speaker 8: we did get pets, we would name the first two,
- 48:48Speaker 8: no matter what they were, Shrek and Donkey. And we
- 48:51Speaker 8: followed through on that you have a donkey. We don't
- 48:55Speaker 8: have a donkey yet. Someday, someday Donkey will will appear.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Well, Zach, thank you for taking the time in. I'm
- 49:02Speaker 1: so happy for you. You made me laugh a lot.
- 49:05Speaker 1: I've seen your work before, and then when I saw
- 49:08Speaker 1: you got this big show, I was just really happy
- 49:10Speaker 1: for you. And I haven't not caught up yet, but
- 49:14Speaker 1: I was watching the first episode of season two and
- 49:17Speaker 1: just laughing at everything you said, and I was like,
- 49:20Speaker 1: this show is so interesting, and I'm so happy for
- 49:22Speaker 1: you that you get to be the comic relief and
- 49:25Speaker 1: you're really really great on it.
- 49:27Speaker 8: Thank you so much, and truly I am I'm not joking.
- 49:30Speaker 8: I'm such huge fans of both of you are. Scrubs

- 49:36Speaker 8: this is truly very very surreal and excult.
- 49:40Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 49:40Speaker 1: And if we do a reboot and Severance is over,
- 49:43Speaker 1: maybe you'll come play with us and be even if it's.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Not over, just come hang out for like a couple.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Of ARC or something. That'd be amazing. Zach Cherry, everybody
- 49:52Speaker 1: check out Severance. If you're not watching Severance, what's going

- 50:16Speaker 1: just so naturally funny.
- 50:18Speaker 5: You know, he's just.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Kind of I like that when people don't have to
- 50:21Speaker 2: put on a character or anything like that and just
- 50:24Speaker 2: can be themselves and talk, you know what I mean.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Like he looks like could be a really fun guy
- 50:28Speaker 1: to hang out with him, just like watch TV and joke.
- 50:31Speaker 5: Yeah, any Taco Bell.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I can't believe he's a vegetarian who eats taco Bell.
- 50:37Speaker 1: I mean, I know it's I know you can have beans,
- 50:39Speaker 1: but it's still bizarre. What of their fast food places
- 50:42Speaker 1: can you eat as a vegetarian.
- 50:45Speaker 9: A lot, but I will say, you know, it's one
- 50:48Speaker 9: of the best. Taco Bell is definitely one of the
- 50:50Speaker 9: best for serving vegetarian.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I remember I don't need it in fucking decade, probably,
- 50:54Speaker 1: but I remember thinking of bean and cheese burrito was
- 50:57Speaker 1: pretty fantastic.
- 50:58Speaker 5: From Taco Bell.
- 50:59Speaker 3: It's delicious, It's still us.
- 51:02Speaker 4: It's a magnificent.

- 51:11Speaker 5: get me wrong.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I my problem fast food really is I stopped eating gluten,
- 51:15Speaker 1: so I can't really eat any of the buns or anything.
- 51:17Speaker 1: And but I could probably eat a flour tortilla from Tacobout.
- 51:20Speaker 3: What's the last time you had an in and out
- 51:22Speaker 3: Burger bro.
- 51:25Speaker 1: I just you know, I I I stopped eating gluten,
- 51:29Speaker 1: and now when you eat gluten, if you stop, it's
- 51:31Speaker 1: even worse.
- 51:32Speaker 5: I just get it.
- 51:33Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna get a stomach ache and cramps
- 51:35Speaker 1: and feel horrible. So there's some like, um, sorry, what's
- 51:41Speaker 1: that other fancy one shake shack has a gluten free
- 51:46Speaker 1: bun that's not too shabby. So I can have shakeshack
- 51:50Speaker 1: in and out. I think I've gone and gotten. They
- 51:52Speaker 1: do a lettuce.
- 51:53Speaker 9: Rapt protein style.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I love, Don't get me wrong.
- 51:57Speaker 5: I love the.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Fast food burger every now and then. But when if
- 52:01Speaker 1: you know you're gonna get a stomach ache from the pawn,
- 52:03Speaker 1: it sucks, so it's not worth it.
- 52:06Speaker 3: I remember you were a huge ice cream fan. Can
- 52:08Speaker 3: you still do that?
- 52:09Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 52:09Speaker 1: Ice cream is not gluten, baby girl.
- 52:11Speaker 3: But it's lactose.
- 52:13Speaker 5: Doesn't have a dairy problem. Okay, I love a fuck
- 52:16Speaker 5: up a milkshake. Can you kidding me?
- 52:18Speaker 3: I'm just trying to say.
- 52:19Speaker 1: That's when I was my hangover treat would be shake
- 52:23Speaker 1: shack of like a double shake shack with a double
- 52:26Speaker 1: burger with a double stack with a shake they have
- 52:29Speaker 1: like an oreo cookie and ship.
- 52:31Speaker 4: Mmm.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Hell yeah, I'm getting a boner word.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Right word.
- 52:40Speaker 5: I'm trying.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to like eat healthy now, But as I'm
- 52:44Speaker 1: like talking about shake shack, I'm getting all worked up.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I'm getting hot and bothered.
- 52:50Speaker 3: Doude, should we talk OnlyFans?
- 52:52Speaker 1: Why do you want to talk about only fans?
- 52:54Speaker 3: Because I'm really thinking that maybe you're.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Thinking about doing only fans for real.
- 53:00Speaker 3: The bid I need to raise some money for this,
- 53:05Speaker 3: but you're serious. We listen watching your feet. Well my
- 53:11Speaker 3: feet are gnarly, dude.

- 53:18Speaker 5: People love feet.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Did you get any more uh collars about Donald's only fans?
- 53:25Speaker 1: Because that guy from Hilarious and I wondered if he actually.
- 53:29Speaker 4: Reached out to me on social and was like, I
- 53:32Speaker 4: would absolutely love to come on. So I'm I'm plotting
- 53:35Speaker 4: and scheming and planning.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Yea, when you have him on, I.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Have a full segment, But I'd like to do like
- 53:39Speaker 1: ten minutes with him about what he would do if
- 53:41Speaker 1: he was watching Donald's.
- 53:43Speaker 2: No, not what he would do that, we don't have
- 53:45Speaker 2: to go that far into it.
- 53:46Speaker 3: I would like to know.
- 53:48Speaker 2: I would like to know what I would need to
- 53:51Speaker 2: do to have a successful only fans.
- 53:54Speaker 3: I don't have to shout Donald.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Through he.

- 54:06Speaker 1: Who are the people that I know that? Uh, who
- 54:08Speaker 1: are the people that are famous?
- 54:10Speaker 4: Like in the Australian rapper Lady had a successful only fans.
- 54:15Speaker 1: And Andrea de Mateo from Sopranos I believe has a
- 54:18Speaker 1: successful one.
- 54:19Speaker 2: And I know I know that she was black, she
- 54:24Speaker 2: pretended she was. And the head of the NUA A
- 54:26Speaker 2: c P. I heard she has only fans. Now, yeah,
- 54:31Speaker 2: how how much you want to bet?
- 54:33Speaker 5: I think you're right?

- 54:55Speaker 3: I don't think she would.
- 54:56Speaker 5: She be pissed if you were spending money on only fans.
- 54:58Speaker 2: I think the moment I start spending money on my porn,

- 55:10Speaker 1: Yes, you're allowed to watch porn. She doesn't care about that.
- 55:12Speaker 1: But if she saw the credit if she saw on
- 55:14Speaker 1: the credit card the only fans charges, she'd be pissed.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and like if I'm giving tips too?
- 55:20Speaker 1: Right, if the credit card bill came through with only
- 55:23Speaker 1: fans tips, she'd be.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Like, what the fuck is this?
- 55:30Speaker 5: All right? Yeah?
- 55:30Speaker 1: I was wondering what the line was for your porn consumption.
- 55:35Speaker 3: I can watch it.
- 55:37Speaker 5: You can watch it, but not pace.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Are you allowed to come out in the living room
- 55:41Speaker 1: and be like, oh, baby, I just watched the most
- 55:43Speaker 1: insane video.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I sometimes say to her. I sometimes say, you know
- 55:46Speaker 2: that move we did the other day? I got that
- 55:48Speaker 2: from porn And she'd be like, oh really, And I'll
- 55:51Speaker 2: be like, you want to do it right now?
- 55:52Speaker 3: You want to practice it right now? She goes no.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Then I'll say something like, well, I'm going to go
- 55:56Speaker 2: practice in the other room.
- 55:58Speaker 1: I see, so you give her a chance before you
- 56:03Speaker 1: want to give her a chance to give you give
- 56:05Speaker 1: her a chance to step up, and if she doesn't
- 56:07Speaker 1: step up, I want to take care of it.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Do you want to play fantasy? No? Okay, well I'm
- 56:13Speaker 3: going to practice some of the moves.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Do you have any words or things you can say
- 56:16Speaker 1: that you know can convert her?
- 56:19Speaker 8: Like?
- 56:19Speaker 1: Can you say like certain trigger words for her that
- 56:23Speaker 1: will make her change her mind?
- 56:25Speaker 2: No, but I can say trigger words that'll make her
- 56:27Speaker 2: say get the fuck out of here.
- 56:32Speaker 3: I can't.
- 56:32Speaker 2: There are no trigger words that like I could try
- 56:35Speaker 2: and be Look, my Instagram algorithm has things like.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Words to say to your spouse when you want to
- 56:42Speaker 3: have sex and she doesn't, and I will try that
- 56:45Speaker 3: ship and it never works.
- 56:47Speaker 2: Like one time, one of the things was like, you know,
- 56:49Speaker 2: I really enjoy us spending this quality time together.
- 56:52Speaker 3: You're sitting down.
- 56:58Speaker 2: Right when you're sitting down on the couch and you're
- 57:00Speaker 2: not doing anything, and like one of you is on
- 57:02Speaker 2: her phone or on their phone.
- 57:04Speaker 1: This was an algorithm. This was a thing on Instagram
- 57:06Speaker 1: giving you advice.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like that's where you say something like you know,
- 57:10Speaker 2: I enjoy our time. I enjoy our quality time together.
- 57:13Speaker 2: And she looked up and said, oh my god, babe,
- 57:15Speaker 2: you mean like just hanging out and not doing anything.
- 57:20Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah, I really really enjoy that,

- 57:36Speaker 1: send the lines on Instagram. I love spending this quality
- 57:39Speaker 1: time together.
- 57:40Speaker 3: And then you just.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Thought she was gonna fucking mount you.
- 57:42Speaker 3: I thought she would be like, you know, baby, I
- 57:44Speaker 3: love it too. I love you so much. Wow, thank

- 57:55Speaker 3: was like, no, no, baby, quality time.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Maybe just start whisp bring in her ear, something gentle
- 58:02Speaker 1: and soft and dirty.

- 58:08Speaker 3: Okay, do it now.
- 58:09Speaker 1: You're just gonna cuddle up to her on the couch.
- 58:11Speaker 7: That doesn't work, and you can be like, baby, I
- 58:14Speaker 7: want to tell you a secret, and then you're gonna
