  haven't gotten around to it because I've been doing X Men stuff for Krakoa and

  then watching Will of Time first two seasons and then yeah, and you still

  got to finish the Tales of Varinia. I don't finish. No, I

  have no. You said you only read like three books. There's like five

  I know. I only I only read listen to technically the first one.

  I had the other two to the next two. I just haven't done anything

  with them yet. They're on my list. You gotta read, you gotta

  finish them. They're they're hysterical. I love those books. I know they're

  so good. They're not They're not even like serious books. They're just like
• 1:40
  when I started reading this, I was just like I was expecting something more
• 1:42
  of like wait, like something like on the same level of Green Creek and
• 1:47
  bear Out and the Kid. But what I got was basically Meet the Spartans.

  But yeah, you know, it was of Varania. Yeah, but
• 1:56
  it was hilarious. I loved it. But that's not what we're talking about
• 1:59
  today. Today we are talking about the third installment of the Wheel of Time
• 2:04
  series. So this is book three, The Dragon Reborn. So this book
• 2:07
  is it's kind of like a turning point in the series in total, because
• 2:15
  the first two books were really like more like setting the stage for the rest
• 2:22
  of the story, and so like book one is like the start of everything,
• 2:30
  and Book two kind of brings us closer to the revelation of Ran being
• 2:37
  the Dragon Reborn and him beginning to fulfill prophecies of the Dragon Reborn. And
• 2:42
  now book three is gonna be focused on him fulfilling another prophecy of the Dragon
• 2:47
  Reborn, because there are dozens of prophecies concerning the Dragon Reborn, things that
• 2:53
  he's going to do that will basically determine like what he's gonna do next,
• 3:00
  Like these prophecies actually helped him determine what to do next, especially after the
• 3:06
  events of Foam at Toban's Head. Because so at the end of book two,
• 3:09
  I forgot to mention this last in the last episode part of review.

  Part of the prophecy that he fulfilled was that he would battle the Dark One
• 3:20
  quote unquote the Dark One in the sky, and an image of him and
• 3:24
  the Dark One could be seen in the sky, so everyone around so everyone
• 3:30
  for like like dozens of miles around the city could see these massive projection of
• 3:35
  him in the Dark One fighting each other. And also part of the that
• 3:40
  very same prophecy was that his banner would be flown over the city. Now,
• 3:46
  at the end of season two, the banner, the dragon banner,
• 3:51
  was just more rain creating a dragon out of fire. But in the book
• 3:54
  it's an actual banner. It's loose things dragon banner. It's like a plain
• 4:00
  white banner made of a material that is described as being like one whole piece
• 4:05
  and not like woven threads like a tapestry, and it has a has an
• 4:12
  image of a serpentine dragon four legs red and gold scales lines main kind of
• 4:18
  thing like a traditional Asian lung dragon. So basically like that. There's another
• 4:28
  thing I gotta I need to like make a correction on because last couple of
• 4:32
  novels. I when talking about the development of these of these books, I
• 4:38
  said, Robert Jordan originally plans on writing a three novel series, but then
• 4:43
  like ended up writing more books for the same story because he just had so
• 4:46
  much and more lore wise. I was doing some research recently and I realized,
• 4:51
  oh, I got that wrong, So it was actually originally supposed to
• 4:54
  be six novels, not three, and yeah, and but he just kept
• 5:00
  going because there was just so much that he put into, like so much
• 5:02
  work that he put into this series alone, that it ended up just going
• 5:05
  further than just three, just six books. But of course, unfortunately he
• 5:11
  passed away in two thousand and seven before he could finish his last book,
• 5:17
  May Rest in Peace, and Brian Sanderson came in to review his notes and
• 5:24
  wrote the last three novels because he had just finished, uh, he had
• 5:30
  just finished writing book eleven. I believe it was. Was he a close
• 5:32
  friend to the author the author was he hired for the job. I believe
• 5:42
  Brian Sanderson was hired for the job. I got to look that up later.
• 5:46
  But he did follow Yeah, he did follow h Robert Robert Jordan's work,
• 5:54
  and he was familiar with the story, and I think they were colleagues.
• 5:58
  So that's why they picked him, because he was more like familiar with
• 6:02
  H right with with Jordan's work and was able to like cohesively bring the story
• 6:10
  to a close without really deviating from the yeah or the source material. And
• 6:15
  plus Jordan wrote like so many notes on his stories that Sanderson really didn't even
• 6:21
  had to like fill in the blanks much. Was like, oh, it's
• 6:24
  all here, so he just had to like put it together. Uh.
• 6:27
  The end result is the last three novels of the series. And today we
• 6:33
  were talking about the Dragon Reborn, Like I said, this one, this
• 6:36
  story is gonna be more about Rand coming into himself and accepting that he is
• 6:44
  the Dragon Reborn. So this book's this book takes place like several months after
• 6:54
  the events of book two. So so uh winter had come. Winter had
• 7:02
  blown in, and Rand, Parrin, Moraine, and a few and the
• 7:09
  uh Tineran warriors that had traveled with them in book two. They all had
• 7:14
  taken shelter in the mountains to the to the east. This very mountain range
• 7:19
  was actually I think it's called the mountain it's the Mountains of Miss. You
• 7:24
  know that part out? Devant me actually double check the part out. Yeah,
• 7:30
  I don't want them to say like I think, Wait, no,
• 7:33
  I know. Oh no. I watched these. I spent a couple of
• 7:39
  days editing these videos, like the American Gods one ooof that one was a
• 7:44
  rough one for me. I'm still editing it. It's a lot anyway,
• 7:48
  Okay, okay, so they okay, they are called the mountains and Miss.
• 7:55
  Okay. Uh so this this so, after the events of falm And
• 8:03
  in the Battle of Toman's Head, Ran Moraine and their friends, they all
• 8:09
  head east and take shelter in the mountains of Miss. That's where they wade
• 8:13
  out the winter. They along with them, they brought the soldiers that traveled
• 8:18
  with them in book two, the soldiers from Shinar And so they all took
• 8:22
  shelter the The Shineerans pledged themselves to the Dragon Reborn, so they loyally follow
• 8:28
  Ran now as the Dragon Reborn. Barren Sadai, who had traveled with Rands
• 8:37
  and parent throughout most of the book of the previous book. She decided to
• 8:41
  take Elaine, I, Guayne, and Ninive back to the White Tower so
• 8:46
  they can first of all explain themselves why they had left the tower and continue
• 8:50
  their training to be Isadai. And along with them they brought They brought Matt
• 8:56
  because Matt is still bound to the from Shahdar look Off and unfortunately the dagger
• 9:03
  is killing him. It's slowly siphoning his life force and if they don't separate
• 9:09
  him fully from the dagger soon he will die. Yeah, and he very
• 9:15
  nearly does die. Their group they were forced to take shelter throughout most of
• 9:20
  the winter too, until the cold weather receded and they were able to continue
• 9:24
  on their journey. They do make it to Tarbolan, and barely in the
• 9:30
  nick of time because Rand sorry not R, Matt was pretty much komatose by
• 9:37
  that point, so he he very nearly died. They did have a brief
• 9:41
  encounter with some white cloaks. So Tarbolan does control a large territory north of
• 9:48
  the Kingdom of and Or, and the thing is white cloaks. They technically
• 9:54
  it's not illegal for them to be in the country itself in and around.

  They're not permitted in the city itself, but they do regularly patrol the lands
• 10:09
  around Tarbalon, and that they can't do anything to the Ice at Ie because
• 10:13
  especially that close to the tower. The if the Ice did I find out
• 10:16
  that White Cloaks executed some of their sisters in their territory, they would definitely
• 10:20
  send an entire regiment of troops to come and take care of them. But
• 10:26
  they did run into a small battalion of White Cloaks, but varionically de escalated
• 10:33
  the situation and led them on to Tarbalon. There was a small outburst from
• 10:37
  the three girls because Igwayne, for one, still very traumatized from her time
• 10:41
  as a demani with the shan Chan, is terrified of being bound again and
• 10:48
  being imprisoned, so she ended up lashing out at the White Cloaks and scared
• 10:52
  them off alongside Ninive and Elaine Barren. Chastise the fuck after that because for
• 11:01
  the Isid Eye, it is or bidden to use the powers as a weapon,
• 11:07
  so you can't. Really they don't believe that you should use it for
• 11:09
  anything else other than extreme self like self defense in the extreme sit in the
• 11:15
  most extreme situations, so they really limit themselves in what they can use the
• 11:20
  power for. But that doesn't mean that they're no less powerful. Yeah uh
• 11:28
  so, so they do make it to the city. The thing about I
• 11:35
  felt really bad for the girls because even though they had a valid excuse and
• 11:45
  begrudgingly the ambulance seat was able to back them up, uh, they still
• 11:48
  ended up getting punished and treated as if they were runaways because when they left
• 11:54
  Tarbalon, they were under the impression that they had permission to leave Tarbaalon and
• 12:00
  they and they had this on good authority from Leandren Sedi, a member who
• 12:05
  is who is a member of the Red Aja, and she lied to them
• 12:11
  saying that she got permission to take them out of the city. But she
• 12:15
  ended up taking them through the ways to Toby's head and from there she turned
• 12:20
  them over to the Shan Shan and it was revealed that Leandren as well as
• 12:24
  the high Lord Souroth are Dark friends, and that Leandren herself, yep,
• 12:30
  Leandren herself is a member of the unofficial Eighth Aja, that the rest of
• 12:37
  the tower denies its existence vehemently. In fact, they will bite your head
• 12:41
  off if even mentioned this Aja, and that is the Black Aja. So
• 12:46
  the Black Aja is the uh is sort of is a hidden Aja. It
• 12:50
  is like a parasite that grew within the UH, within the White Tower.
• 12:56
  And they were made up of sisters every Asia, and they serve the Dark
• 13:01
  One. They've pledged themselves to the Dark One, and they act as as
• 13:05
  agents in the Tower. And they are Isidie so they can channel and they
• 13:09
  can use their power, and somehow they are not affected by the Three Oaths.
• 13:16
  So, like I've mentioned before, the three Oaths are they can the
• 13:20
  isid I cannot tell any lies. They cannot make weapons for which men can
• 13:26
  kill other men with, and they cannot use the power as a weapon and
• 13:33
  can only act in extreme unless, of course, it is used in extreme
• 13:37
  cases of self defense or in the fight against the Dark. Yeah. So
• 13:43
  for the Black Aza, for some reason aren't bound by these oaths. It
• 13:50
  hasn't been really like even now Ino in book seven, they haven't really talked
• 13:54
  much about the Black Asia because that's not the folk like right now that they're
• 13:58
  not focus of the story. They haven't really been the focus of the story
• 14:03
  since book four. We're not I know, I know, So you're talking
• 14:11
  about they weren't the focus tell book four. Yeah, no, so like
• 14:16
  they're gonna be the Black Asia is going to be part of the focus in
• 14:20
  book three and also book four, but after the book four, it's like
• 14:24
  they're kind of like they're just there. They're just there. They're not really
• 14:28
  the focus of the story. Butcha, so the ambulance seat had to So
• 14:35
  they were about before the ambulance seat, and Suan was forced like she really
• 14:39
  didn't have much of a choice but to chastise them because they left the city
• 14:45
  because for one thing, she can't she's not ready to acknowledge, at least
• 14:48
  publicly acknowledged that the Black Asha exists, though she does tell the girls that,
• 14:54
  well, your story does have some truth to it because not long after
• 14:58
  you disappeared and reappeared in the Tower, and she, along with all other
• 15:05
  sisters, rated the vaults of the city of the Tower and stole a large
• 15:11
  number of Tarangriol and Ongriol, mainly tarangri al so the White Tower that they
• 15:22
  have a massive collection of the magical artifacts of Tarangriol, Ongriel and even a
• 15:30
  few saw Ariel Saint Riel are very rare because they're more powerful versions of the
• 15:35
  Onril. But uh, but the Black Azure revealed themselves and thirteen sisters,
• 15:46
  including Leandrin, stole a large number of Tarangreil from the vaults and they disappeared.
• 15:50
  They killed a few servants as well, and I believe they did end
• 15:54
  up killing a couple of sisters, although this burglary was covered up because the
• 15:58
  Amber and does not want uh knowledge of the Black Azure to become like commonplace.

  So the best thing she tells the girls is that, well, I
• 16:11
  believe you, but until we can figure out what to do about the Black
• 16:15
  Asia, uh, you're I'm turning you over to the Mistress of Novices and
• 16:21
  well light have mercy on your souls. That's some bull I know, with
• 16:27
  some bullshit like they're being punished for being victims. And the thing is is
• 16:33
  that the girls did tell, including Barren. They all told the Ambulance of
• 16:37
  the existence of the Sean Shan, which is a very which is a threat
• 16:41
  to the Tower because the Sean Shan believe in collaring every channeler and in slaving
• 16:48
  channelers. So but had Swan dismisses this and says like, well they well,
• 16:56
  they're not here anymore. They they've been from what you can, from
• 17:00
  what you say, they've been chased out of the continent. So that's problem
• 17:07
  for another day. That's that's tomorrow Swan's problem, not today Swans. So
• 17:14
  the girls begin their training again, they continue in their studies and really have
• 17:21
  to deal with unjust punishment. That's the way I see it. They were
• 17:25
  being punished unjustly because they were victims in this whole situation. But that's neither
• 17:30
  hero there. Going over to Rand and Moraine, Rand has become since he's
• 17:38
  been hiding in the mountains for the whole winter, he's becoming increasingly restless,
• 17:44
  and one thing he's having trouble accepting is that he has trouble accepting that he
• 17:48
  is the Dragon Reborn, even though Moraine says, you've like is thoroughly convinced
• 17:53
  he is the Dragon Reborn, and tells him that the two of them are
• 17:57
  constantly bickering. And while Moraine outwardly seems like it's she's unfazed by this,
• 18:04
  she is really frustrated by by Ram's behavior and just the fact that he that
• 18:14
  they're just constantly butting heads. UH. Their whole team UH is trying is
• 18:21
  just basically waiting at this point for what to do next. Moraine is organizing
• 18:26
  a kind of like a recruitment effort. She is uh trying to get the
• 18:30
  word of the Dragon Reborn spread to every corner of the land, try to
• 18:34
  get sympathizers people to swear to the Dragon Reborn. She's managing a spine network.
• 18:41
  Basically, she's using the Blue Ages and network of spies to spread information
• 18:45
  and get information. At one point, though, their camp is found by
• 18:52
  a team by a horde of Trolliks and they are attacked. Their team does
• 18:57
  bite off the troll fight off the troot forces. Rand is forced to use
• 19:03
  his power more rather than use his hair, using his Heron Mark blade because
• 19:11
  in the end of book two, his sword, which was a blade Master's
• 19:15
  sword. It's supposed to blade master's swords were created by the Isida thousands of
• 19:21
  years ago before they began taking the Three ohs. And if anything, it
• 19:25
  was because of these weapons that they made, is why they started taking the
• 19:30
  three o's. Because they made these virtually indestructible weapons, and well, they
• 19:34
  gave him to the wrong people, and these people waged war and killed a
• 19:37
  lot and just started killing a lot of people. So after that matter was
• 19:41
  settled, the weapons the isid Iye sword will never make weapons like that again,
• 19:47
  but there's still remnants of them out there. And Rand had his father's
• 19:52
  blade, but unfortunately it was destroyed. And at the end of book two,
• 19:56
  with his confrontation with the Shamel, the dark the dark one ah and
• 20:04
  when he when that happens, uh, he channeled some of his own power
• 20:10
  into the blade to deal a to strike a much heavier blow against the shamel,
• 20:14
  and when he did that, this caused the heron marks, so like
• 20:19
  the heron itself was imprinted along the blade as well as the hilt of the
• 20:23
  blade of the sword. So when he stabbed a Shawmel, he uh his
• 20:30
  when he was channeling through the blade this end. This ended up causing the
• 20:33
  herons that were branded that were stamped onto the blade to be branded into his
• 20:38
  palms. So that also fulfilled part of the prophecy because he will be twice
• 20:44
  marked. And well now he has two marks on his hands and the shape
• 20:48
  of the hair, but he doesn't have his sword anymore, so he has
• 20:52
  to use his power to fight off the to fight off the trolks. When
• 20:56
  he does this, he does shape the mountain more, and it creates like
• 21:00
  a kind of like splits the mountain in half a bit, not by much.
• 21:04
  He just leaves a large crack and half of the battle rands. So
• 21:11
  up until this point Rand had he had begun obsessing with profit over the prophecies
• 21:17
  of the dragon reborn, and particularly he became more obsessed with the prophecies concerning
• 21:23
  a powerful weapon that was left behind from the age of legends. And this
• 21:30
  weapon is a sword that cannot be wielded, or the sword that cannot be
• 21:34
  touched. Yep. And this sword is called Kalandor or it sounds I'm trying
• 21:44
  to insert picture of Kalandor. Yeah, so I'm trying to make sure I
• 21:49
  say klendor certain way instead of calling it calendar calendar uh huh, but it's
• 21:57
  so klendor is it is actually a sangreal Uhangrials are much more powerful versions of
• 22:06
  ongriols, which if a channeler wields one, they can The angril allows them
• 22:11
  to channel more energy from the source safely without burning themselves out or killing themselves.
• 22:17
  Uh. So they're like magnifying glasses for their like their magnifiers for the
• 22:22
  power and Kalandor was one of three incredibly powerful sangreals that were created at the
• 22:32
  end of the Age of Legends. Uh it never was. It wasn't used
• 22:36
  for it was never used back then because it was made right when the the
• 22:44
  war ended and men began going mad from the taint on side and and uh
• 22:49
  so the remnants of the ancient isid Eye. What they ended up doing is
• 22:53
  they built a fortress in a kingdom called Tyr, and it is called this
• 22:59
  fortress is called the Stone of Tier. And inside the Stone of Tier is
• 23:03
  a large column filled room with a dome in it. And inside the middle
• 23:11
  of this domed room is Colandor, so they place Colandor there. It's suspended
• 23:17
  in mid air using weaves of the source, and it's protected by a powerful
• 23:22
  barrier. Now this barrier, so that's why it's called the sword that cannot
• 23:26
  be touched or wielded, is because anybody who tries to reach out and grab
• 23:30
  the sword, their hands meet like an invisible barrier. So nobody can reach
• 23:36
  it or touch it, or even break this barrier. And it is prophesied
• 23:41
  it is said that only the dragon to be born will be able to take
• 23:44
  the sword and Rand still still not convinced he's a dragon born. He realizes
• 23:52
  that all right, well, the only way to prove myself or Moraine right,
• 23:57
  to settle this matter is to go and take Coalandor. Now he does
• 24:03
  mention that he they He does briefly mention this to Moraine, that this is
• 24:07
  what they should do, but Moraine is like, no, no, it's
• 24:11
  too dangerous, So you need to stay here. We need to make sure
• 24:14
  that we garner, get support and spread the word. He's like, well,
• 24:18
  how, like, how can we be sure that I'm the dragon reborn?
• 24:21
  Like, this is the only way to prove it. So, after
• 24:23
  the Trials invade, the Trillic attack on their camp, Uh and Rand's power
• 24:29
  split the mountain. It also created a path for which Rand was able to
• 24:33
  sneak out of the out of the encampment without anybody seeing. So really,
• 24:38
  throughout most of the book, we're not going to see much of Rand because
• 24:41
  he'll be traveling alone. So he spends the next several weeks traveling by himself,
• 24:48
  heading east from the mountains to Tier so that way he can so that
• 24:52
  way he can either claim or not claim colandor Moraine. After he leaves Moraine,
• 25:00
  understandably pissed, sets off after him, and uh Lan and paren Booth
• 25:10
  go along with him. I believe Men also goes with them as well.

  Mm hmmm, as she honestly, I keep for Men as often like for
• 25:21
  at least through the first couple of books. She's such a footnote in the
• 25:23
  story that I don't really like pay attention to what she's doing. Didn't really
• 25:27
  pay attention to what she was doing. It was just like, oh,
• 25:30
  what was what? Because it wasn't just okay, It wasn't until a book
• 25:41
  for that Men gets sent to Tarblong and she has to pretend to be like
• 25:48
  Okay, I okay, so it is Men because she does travel with them
• 25:53
  for a bit anyway. Uh So they also begin their journey east to find
• 26:03
  the track down Rand along the way. Sorry, I just really needed to
• 26:10
  touch the story because I forgot a lot about it. I mean, it's
• 26:14
  like I mean it will it's I mean, it's been a couple months since
• 26:17
  I've read it, but like, just like fuck, what am I blinking
• 26:21
  on? Okay, So Maureen, So Rand takes off in his own journey
• 26:26
  towards Tyr to claim the sword that cannot be touched, and along the way
• 26:33
  he is chased by both dark friends and halfman and even at one point shadow
• 26:37
  hounds and shadow hounds are nasty buggers. But as he's traveling, Rand is
• 26:44
  beginning to experiment more with the power, basically learn learn how to control it,
• 26:51
  because thing about the true power is he He can't really learn how to
• 26:57
  use his gifts from Moraine because the thing is is that the way a female
• 27:03
  channeler learns how to use their power is very different from how men learn how
• 27:07
  to use A man can learn how to use their power, like how they
• 27:10
  use it is very differently is it happens very differently. So whenever a female
• 27:15
  channeler begins learning how to channel, they are first taught one of the first
• 27:21
  things they're taught is that they do not actually control the source. It's the
• 27:29
  same more or less the same for men. But the way that they have
• 27:33
  to embrace they're able they have to embrace the source is not by like taking
• 27:36
  hold of it and controlling it, but rather surrendering to it. And when
• 27:40
  they surrender to it, then they can control it from there because otherwise if
• 27:45
  they try to like take control of it and try to man handle it,
• 27:49
  it'll burn them away, whereas it's the opposite for men. So when a
• 27:53
  man embraces this source, they can't surrender to the to site, and because
• 28:00
  they do, then siding will burn them away. So what they have to
• 28:03
  do is reach out, grab it, grab it by the horns, and
• 28:07
  man handle it into doing what they want. They have to take control.
• 28:11
  So men when they channel sid and, they have to take control of it,
• 28:15
  whereas women when they channel sidear, they have to surrender to it.
• 28:22
  And it's the same concept for everything they do. So like how they channel,
• 28:26
  how they we create their weaves, it's very different. So Rern unfortunately,
• 28:32
  because he doesn't have anybody to teach him, he has to figure this
• 28:34
  stuff out on his own, and at one point, when he's cornered by
• 28:41
  a pack of shadow hounds, he actually he accidentally discovers how to create bellfire,
• 28:52
  which is a very which if you're a D and D player, bailfire
• 28:55
  is like ray of disintegration, except instead of turning you into ash, it
• 29:00
  erases you from time. So like depending on how powerful you are, it'll
• 29:06
  only like erase you. If you're not very strong and you use bellfire,
• 29:10
  it'll only erase that person from like the last few seconds or even a few
• 29:12
  minutes Moraine. It's revealed later on in this book that she read she herself
• 29:19
  had rediscovered how to use bailfire, because bailfire is considered illegal and forbidden to
• 29:26
  even know how to use, so she uh in their journey, she and
• 29:33
  their she and her group gets cornered by shadow hounds too, and the only
• 29:37
  way to effectively kill shadow hounds is to completely destroy their bodies, and the
• 29:42
  best way to do that is bailfire, and she uses bailfire. So yeah,
• 29:52
  so it's been based. It's like an It's basically one long chase.

  At one point, while they're stopped, they're stopped in a village, Paren
• 30:00
  notices that this village had captured a an, a eel, which is very
• 30:06
  unusual for this which is very unusual because the Iel rarely come, if not
• 30:11
  ever come out of the threefold Lands or the Iel Waste as it's known by
• 30:17
  the west by the west Lands. And in fact, they actually encountered several
• 30:23
  Aeel in book two. I didn't really mention them before, but they do
• 30:29

  the city, Uh, they all make a run for it. They flee

  the city and Samuel does send out a party of shadow hounds against them.

  a secluded area, she faces the shadow hounds, raises her hands and a

  called dream walk. She doesn't realize what it is at first, she just

  knows that she will occasionally have these vivid dreams that she believes may be prophetic

  the tower. They suspect that she might be a dream walker, and they

  do test her, but unfortunately, since they don't really there hasn't been a

  dream walker in the tower for over three hundred years, they don't really know

  what they're doing and they don't know how to test her, so for the

  most part, they brush it off and saying, well, you're just probably

  suffering from the after effects of your time in vallm. But the only person

  that actually takes her seriously and actually tries to help her figure out if she

  does have the power is Varren, and Varren at one point tells Agwayne to

  come to her so they can discuss it, and Varren talks to her about

  reflection of the real world. But the only thing that will appear in there

  are things that will stay in one place that is like a permanent, like

  a permanent or near permanent fixture of a place. And since Kalandor has been

  sitting in that domed room for or rather floating in the air in that dome

  room for like three thousand years, it appears in Telendriode and she studies it

  and tries to actually touch it and reach out for it, but she finds

  that there's a barrier keeping her from getting any closer. And she reaches out

  with the source to try to study the barrier, and she notices that half

  of the barrier is woven from a complex weave of cider, but there are

  gaps in the weave that she suspects maybe a weave from the male half's sidon,

  because when she tries to like probe those gaps, there's still something there

  is something there that she can't see that's blocking her. But anyway, she

  suspects that, and during one of her dreams, she actually sees Leandrin and

  world of the game of houses because the King of Carrahin figured out that Tom

  had dealings with Rand, and since Rand had went to go meet accepted an

  invitation from the king's greatest rival, the king wanted to get back at Rand

  somehow, and he figured out that Tom was associated with Rand, so using

  that as his only form of leverage, he tried to attack. He sent

  the men to attack Tom, and Tom had actually taken up with a young
• 1:02:02
  woman, so he was training this young woman to be a a gleeman.

  And this young woman also happened to be Tom's lover, and well, the

  men that attacked Tom kill her. And while we don't really know what Tom

  did, it is heavily hinted that Tom assassinated the King of Carahin, because

  by the time book three happens, they received word that Carahine had sent had

  devolved into a total state of civil war, with all the noble houses fighting

  so many refugees trying to flee into and Or. But they're shocked to find

  out that the Andorans are blocking any further any more refugees from coming across the

  river. For them, it's neither here or there. They make their way

  to they make their way to Camelin, and they do manage to get an

  audience with the queen because since Elaine had her own little signet and seal,

  he showed the letter to the to the guards at the at the palace and

  seeing the seal, they take him to more Gaze and he's actually shot to

  find that more Gaze is not what he expected. She seems somewhat diminished,

  a guy calling himself Lord Gabriel, And he notices that Gabriel has this weird

  it, and while she's still skeptical about the sisters of Tarbalan about the tower,

  she more or less accepts it, and she but her stance. She

  still like clings to her stants until Elaine is returned to Camlin. She's not

  really gonna have any further dealings with Tarbalon. And she also notices that Lord

  Gabriel is like, actually like encouraging her to continue this this split from Tarbalaan.

  And still Matt's like, all right, whatever, I'm out. But

  as he's leaving the castle, he can't help but notice that he he actually

  he accidentally wanders through a garden and while he's going through this garden, he

  notices that there are some nobles coming through and he and Matt has a very

  strong distaste for nobles and high borns, so he hides from them, and

  he realizes that one of the nobles is Lord Gabriel and another is like some
• 1:05:45
  other like advisor kind of guy. Matt realizes that Lord Gabriel is commanding another

  advisor, a guy named Komar, to track down three girls that were sent

  out of Camlin, one of them including a Lane, and to assassinate them.

  And realizing this, Matt's plan of completely like cutting ties with Tarbalan anything

  to do with like this whole mess is now gonna have to be put on
• 1:06:20
  hold because he needs to protect these girls. So Matt goes back to the

  end he and Tom were staying at and he tells Tom of what he had

  just heard. And while Tom is like skeptical, like, oh, these

  girls, those girls can take care of themselves. They're training to be I
• 1:06:40
  ad I now they can at least defend themselves, Matt's like, no,

  I can't just I can't just leave them be let leave them to be taken

  off guard like that, he makes plans to head to Tear and so Matt

  and Tom Marilyn both with Tom Marilyn and so start heading east to try to

  uh to try to catch the girls in tier and save them before anything bad

  happens. So the girls themselves they make their way down the tier. UH

  well, they spend most of the time on the They spend most of the

  time on a ferry going down river, but eventually do they do have to

  disembark on Ironically, they actually disembark on the carahind side of the river,

  and along the way they do encounter some Iel. In fact, they encounter

  Ieel shield maidens and UH. These shield maidens ask them for their help because

  one of their sisters was injured, and Ninive using her actually uses her own
• 1:07:54
  abilities to heal this sister and send the send these shield maidens on their way.

  But not long after this, UH, the girls are captured by dark
• 1:08:04
  friends of all people and they were about to be given over to uh a
• 1:08:12
  trio of Mirar Drawl, but the girls were able to uh free, were
• 1:08:16
  able to free themselves, and they actually end up killing the mere draw using
• 1:08:23
  their power and uh Elaine sets them up. The thing is, they kind
• 1:08:28
  of go uh, they kind of go a little overboard with their with how
• 1:08:30
  they killed the mere draw, so Igwayne sets them on fire. Elaine uses
• 1:08:36
  a like vacuum to squish them all into like a ball, and then Ninive
• 1:08:42
  accidentally discovers that she too can use bellfire and disintegrates them. Uh. The

  girls freed themselves and killed the Mirror Drawl just as the I Eels. In

  fact, the very Ideel that they had just helped came to rescue them.

  So while they did, while Elaine, Igwayne, and Ninive deal with the

  Mire Drawl, the a Eel, the shield maid the shield Maidens alongside uh

  some other I yealmen come in and they completely take They completely wipe out the

  dark Front camp and after exchanging like pleasantries like what like what you know?

  Thank you for saving us? Uh, Ninive is upset to learn that the

  girl that she just healed died in the raid. But either way, the
• 1:09:38
  shield Maidens and the a Eel in general, they are warriors. They they
• 1:09:43
  embrace death like it's They embrace death, they're not afraid of it. They
• 1:09:49
  tell them that they are making their way down to Tear and the Ieel tell
• 1:09:55
  them that U that's also where they're heading because they have reason, they've heard
• 1:10:04
  rumors that their caracorn is heading there. So the girls end up traveling with

  two of the shield Maidens, two of the shield Maidens that they had met
• 1:10:17
  the shield Madidens feeling like they not only have their honor bound to help to
• 1:10:24
  help the girls, but also because they became good friends with them. So

  their group eventually does make it to Tier, and now the thing is being
• 1:10:34
  in Tier, they need to figure out where the black Azra is. Yeah,

  Igwayne has been careful, has been carefully exploring tele around Riode and seeing
• 1:10:46
  if she could figure out clues of where they are, and she suspects that
• 1:10:50
  these women are actually hiding in the Stone of Teer itself, which is used
• 1:10:57
  as like the palace for the high lords of Tier. And still they're trying,
• 1:11:04
  they are trying to figure out different ways to uh, they're trying to
• 1:11:10
  figure out how they're going to track them down. At one point nine,
• 1:11:13
  when they enter Tier, Ninive notices that there is a house that has like
• 1:11:20
  herbs and things like that, and she thinks, well, she gets this
• 1:11:25
  idea, why not speak to the city's healer, the local healers, because
• 1:11:30
  as a wisdom she herself is a healer, and she can recognize when other
• 1:11:34
  healers when she sees them. So they approach this healer and after exchanging like
• 1:11:41
  pleasantries, really it is just more of like a dick measuring contest between Ninive
• 1:11:45
  and the local healer, like they basically test themselves each other, like how
• 1:11:48
  much they know about healing and herbs and things like that. This woman agrees
• 1:11:55
  to help them, and they and without really revealing too much of what they're
• 1:11:59
  looking for, they reveal that they're looking for some women who are criminals and
• 1:12:05
  they stole some very important objects and they need to find them. And the
• 1:12:11
  healer tells them that she knows of a guy who can track these people down,
• 1:12:16
  and this guy is called a thief catcher. Thief catchers are basically like
• 1:12:20
  they're like detectives. They do investigations and track down criminals and things like that,
• 1:12:28
  and they have connections to the criminal They kind of have connections to the
• 1:12:31
  criminal underbelly, and that's how they're able to figure out, like, you
• 1:12:34
  know, where the criminals are track these people down. So she enlists the
• 1:12:39
  help of a thief catcher by the name of Joilin, and Juliet agrees to
• 1:12:45
  track these women down for nine, even the girls. But unfortunately, the
• 1:12:55
  Black Asia really does have friends in higher places, because it is revealed later
• 1:13:02
  that the Black Asa were being show not only being sheltered in the Stone Tier,
• 1:13:06
  but currently the new the more recent excuse me, high Lord the now
• 1:13:15
  the current high Lord of Tyr is actually none other than one of the Forsaken,
• 1:13:20
  a man named the Law, and they catch when the thief, the
• 1:13:29
  Thief Catcher basically gets caught by the Black Aja, who forced him to reveal
• 1:13:33
  who sent him to take to find them, and he reveals that it was
• 1:13:38
  the three girls and Leandrin and the other the other Black Asja. Realizing who
• 1:13:43
  they are, they corner them and capture them and take them prisoner into the
• 1:13:47
  into the Stone itself. So sadly, Ninieve and the girls are all now
• 1:13:55
  being shielded and locked in uh in the dungeon. But Nini but Igwaine gets
• 1:14:04
  this brilliant idea because when they captured them, the Black Asia didn't really check
• 1:14:12
  them like pat them down or see if they hadn't for any weapons, and
• 1:14:17
  Egwaine still had the Stone Ring, and so using the Stone Ring, she
• 1:14:25
  enters the dream world and after doing some exploring and figuring out where she is,
• 1:14:30
  like like where the part of the dungeon she is. She finds that
• 1:14:34
  one of the Black Sister that was guarding them is kind of like dozing off
• 1:14:41
  a bit, so she can see her form drifting in and out of the
• 1:14:45
  dream world. So nini so I'm sorry, nini Igwaine waits like waits for

  the moment when she flickers into the dream world and weaving a shield, she
• 1:15:00
  traps the Black Sister in a shield while she just as she drifts into the
• 1:15:08
  dream world and this and she figures out that she can actually tie off weaves,

  so when she traps the sister in a shield in the dream world,
• 1:15:19
  she ties it off and returns to her main body. Still, they find
• 1:15:25
  that while they still they're still being shielded, but now the sister is being
• 1:15:32
  is it the Black Sister is being is incapacitated, But despite the fact that

  they're still being shielded and everything. It's at that point they realize, oh,
• 1:15:43
  hey, Matt is here, because that is when Matt shows up to

  rescue them. So Matt and Tom Marilynd make it too tear and they spend

  the next They spent a few days trying to find the girls. At one

  point, they actually track the girls down to the herbalist's shop and she tells

  them of what had happened and tells them that they are being held in the
• 1:16:13
  stone up here itself. So during the night, Matt decides to go by

  himself because Tom with his bad leg, wouldn't be able to be of much
• 1:16:23
  help. He decides to try to figure out a way to sneak into the
• 1:16:29
  stone in the middle of the night. While he's sneaking, while he is
• 1:16:35
  exploring the city at night, he's going by a rooftop to get closer to
• 1:16:39
  this to the fortress itself, he encounters Julian, the very man who betrayed
• 1:16:45
  the girls to the Black Sisters, also trying to do the same thing figure
• 1:16:49
  out a way into the stone, and he reveals that he betrayed the girls
• 1:16:56
  and he feels bad about it because he was coerced by the Black Azure to
• 1:17:00
  do it. Leandron had used her little trick of compulsion to get them to
• 1:17:05
  spill the beans and betray the girls, So now he wants to make it
• 1:17:09
  right by trying to break them out. But while they're getting while they're scouting
• 1:17:13
  out the wall to find a good place to enter. Uh. They really
• 1:17:16
  They actually come across a large group of a Eel who had snuck into the
• 1:17:21
  city, and the Ael incapacitated the two men and after uh after questioning them,
• 1:17:30
  they realized, okay, they're not really not exactly harmless, but they're
• 1:17:35
  not of any threat and they ask them, what are you guys trying to?
• 1:17:40
  Like? The Ael asked them what they're doing. They said, they're
• 1:17:43
  trying to get into the stone to rescue some some girls that are in prison
• 1:17:45
  there. They asked, Ael, why are you here? They say,
• 1:17:49
  because we believe that are that the Cara corn is here and inside the fortress
• 1:17:58
  already. M hm. So they go their separate ways. Matt can dimly.

  Since it's in the middle of the night, he can barely see anything,
• 1:18:06
  but he does see that he can see the Aeel begin climbing up the
• 1:18:13
  walls and entering the stone itself. But when trying to but knowing that he
• 1:18:19
  wouldn't be able to climb up the walls as definitely as the Ayeel, Matt
• 1:18:24
  comes up with a different plan. So all along the walls are narrow slits.

  These are like in medieval architecture, especially in castles. They're in the
• 1:18:34
  battlements, there are these narrow slits for archers to be able to fire their
• 1:18:40
  arrows through, and Matt gets an idea of how to gets this brilliant idea
• 1:18:45
  to go in through one of them, but since they're so narrow, he
• 1:18:50
  needs to make it wider. Early in the book, Matt had met an
• 1:18:57
  illuminator who is a member Loominators are guild of people that construct and use fireworks

  h so they so basically like they they're they're often hired by nobility to put

  on their firework displays, and he had encountered a illuminator who actually worked at

  a guild that Randon his friends had snuck into in the past in the Past

  book while they were trying to during their hunt for the Horn, and they

  ended up helping her, and she in repayment for helping her, she gives

  them several fireworks, and Matt, being very curious he wanted he actually opened

  up a few of them to see how they work, and he kept the
• 1:19:45
  rest, and since he still had the fireworks on him, he slides the
• 1:19:49
  fireworks into the arrow slits and sets it and lights it up. When the

  firework goes off, it actually blows a hole big enough for him to slip
• 1:19:58
  through, so he enjoys him and Julian go into going through this hole that
• 1:20:02
  they blew into the wall, and they realized that the alarm had already been
• 1:20:08
  sounded inside the inside the stone, but it wasn't because of them, but
• 1:20:14
  it was because of the a Eel. The Iel were already fighting the guards,
• 1:20:17
  so Julan and Matt were able to sneak by all the guards while they
• 1:20:21
  were preoccupied with the a Eel and make it down to the dungeons and what
• 1:20:26
  they find. They do find the black sister that was guarding the girls,
• 1:20:30
  but they noticed that she's kind of in a weird state, like she looks
• 1:20:33
  like she's hit, like she's being she's restrained and almost like she's half asleep.
• 1:20:41
  And that's because when Iguayne shielded her, she also this kind of locked
• 1:20:48
  her in like halfway into like a dream state and full consciousness. So even
• 1:20:56
  though she's shielded and restrained, she's still able, like she still had her
• 1:21:00
  connection to the source, so she's that's why she's still able to shield the
• 1:21:04
  girls in their cell. But when she sees Uh, when he sees her.
• 1:21:12
  Uh, he doesn't think much of her. He just grabs the keys
• 1:21:15
  and unlocks the door, and he sees the three girls are shocked to see
• 1:21:18
  him and are incredulous that he's there even there, but they immediately leave the
• 1:21:23
  cell. And as soon as they walk out and see the black sister,
• 1:21:27
  Ninive rushes up to her and punches her in the face, knocking her out.

  Damn. And this look this causes her to lose her connection to the

  source and the shield, and the three girls are no longer being shielded.

  Uh. So Matt tells him, all right, let's get the fuck out

  of here. Uh. Because he tells Elaine that her mom's new boy toy,

  Lord Gabriel, had uh sent somebody here to tear to kill, to

  assassinate her and the girls. And one thing I want to mention, uh,

  Matt actually did foil the assassination attempts because when he reached Tier, he

  had actually reached Tier around the same time that Lord Kolmar, the man that
• 1:22:15
  Gabriel ordered to find the girls and kill them, He actually had had an
• 1:22:19
  encounter with him in an inn and manages to kill him before he could do
• 1:22:24
  anything. Damn. But The thing is that Matt didn't want to take any
• 1:22:28
  chances because there could be others in the city looking for the girls, So
• 1:22:31
  he's trying to convince them, like, let's get the fuck out of here.
• 1:22:33
  But the girls are like, nope, we came here. We came
• 1:22:36
  here with a job to do, and that's to find the Black Azen.

  We're going to do it. So they set off to find Leandren and the
• 1:22:43
  other sisters. But sadly then and in the fight, during the fight,

  the sisters slip away and actually escape from Tan Chico O, I'm sorry,

  not ten Chico from Tier, and they do manage to capture another of the
• 1:23:00
  of the Black Asia like knock incapacity, hate her and knock her out,

  But other than that, the others the other ten Sisters escaped from the city.

  Now around the same time, just as this around the same time,
• 1:23:14
  Moraine and her group make it to the city, and while they're trying to
• 1:23:18
  figure out their next course of action, Morain was planning on just going to
• 1:23:25
  the Stone Tier by herself to confront Belaal because she realizes that there's another forsaken
• 1:23:30
  in the city and that is Fulal, and she thinks that, and she
• 1:23:33
  comes up with a plan because thing about bellfire is that bailfire is unblockable even
• 1:23:40
  by someone as powerful as a forsaken, so there's no counter for it.
• 1:23:46
  So that was her course of action. She tells Perrin and Land to stay
• 1:23:53
  behind, or rather either come or stay behind, doesn't matter if she's going.
• 1:23:58
  But before they could go, she was gonna discuss their course. She
• 1:24:01
  was gonna have like a little quick round up with them in the end's private
• 1:24:04
  room. Uh. But just before she could walk in, Fayel walked in
• 1:24:09
  ahead of her and parent and she immediately passes out. And there parent is
• 1:24:16
  confused and concerned because boiler alert. Fayel is uh parent's love interests and he's
• 1:24:25
  actually beginning, he's actually developing feelings for her, and uh Paren wants to
• 1:24:31
  help her, but Morain holds him back from going into the room. And
• 1:24:34
  she peers into the room and she's like, look on the table, you
• 1:24:39
  see that? And on the table is a little wooden statue of like a
• 1:24:43
  what looks like a hedgehog, and she recognizes it, and she said,
• 1:24:47
  and she tells them that's a that's a prongry all anybody who you if any
• 1:24:55
  anybody who like channels into it falls into a deep sleep. Someone must have
• 1:25:00
  got that there and channeled something in it as a trap, so that way
• 1:25:04
  anyone who comes near it falls asleep. And Marine suspects that whoever gets caught

  in the trap, and she was she believed that the trap was set,

  was set specifically for her. Whoever falls into the trap will fall into like
• 1:25:20
  some sort of illusion to that, like some sort of like tortuous illusion.

  And Paren begs her to help her, but Marian says, there's nothing I

  can do until the trap, until the Torangriela itself wears off, like the

  effects wear off, And she tells Paren that listen, there's more important things

  that we need to get to, particularly dealing with the forsaken in in tear

  and if Ran, if Ran is already in the stone, then he's in
• 1:25:47
  danger, so they need to help him. And Paren doesn't want to leave

  Fayel behind, so Marian says, all right, do what you do,

  what you gotta do, and she turns and leaves. So Paren, wanting

  to help fail, decides like before she leaves, he says, how can
• 1:26:05
  I help her then? And he said, and she tells him, well,

  the only way to undo this illusion is to do it from within the

  dream itself. But that's why Moraine didn't want to risk it, because she

  didn't want to like risk going in there and getting caught it, caught in

  the trap herself, and so she goes and leaves to deal with what to

  deal with the long So Paren decides to go into the room and he gets

  caught up in the dream sequence himself. And he does get caught up in

  the dream, but the thing about him is being a wolf brother. Wolves
• 1:26:43
  actually have a connection to the dream world itself, and wolf brothers are able
• 1:26:47
  to enter the dream world too, so wolf brothers are a form of dream
• 1:26:50
  walkers. So he realizes this and his strong affections for fayelke over and he
• 1:27:00
  in his dream form, he takes on the form of a wolf and he
• 1:27:03
  begins chasing and like he begins like chasing Fayel through the dream sequences, there's
• 1:27:14
  like a number of traps and locks that are keeping her bound there. So

  he goes through all of them, he breaks them, and he's every time
• 1:27:23
  he breaks one, Fayel disappears and appears in another trap, So he has
• 1:27:27
  to systematically break each of them down and at one point he see like while
• 1:27:31
  he's undoing these traps, he sees what he thinks is Rn running through with
• 1:27:35
  a running around chasing after a guy with a glowing sword. Because while this
• 1:27:41
  is happening other uh, this is happening at the same time events are unfolding
• 1:27:45
  in the town in the stone itself. But Paren does eventually break the last
• 1:27:50
  trap and both him and Fayel come out of the dream. Uh when this
• 1:27:55
  When this happens, they notice that the little wooden taran griol is broken.

  Mh. So when Parent breaks through all the traps, this destabilizes the Tarangreal
• 1:28:09
  and it breaks. Think about tarangrioles. If those of you who are wondering,

  like, wait, aren't ungre all unbreakable ingre all and are all are

  the only are the only artifacts made out of quindiar hearthstone, which is truly
• 1:28:23
  unbreakable. Tarangreol are just enchanted objects, so they can be made out of
• 1:28:30
  anything. They could like wooden like stone rings, wooden statues. Really,

  they can be made out of anything, and they can also break. So
• 1:28:41
  that sword that Ran had the blade Master's sword technically at Tarangreal because it was
• 1:28:46
  designed to be unbreakable, but it's not a it's not a quindiar weapon.

  and there's Rant. He shows up and he's making his way towards the

  sword to try to grab it, but he's immediately confronted by the forsaken Belal.

  The Law reveals that he used to be He used to know Rant in

  his past life as Loose. Then in fact, the two of them,
• 1:29:43
  Uh could you could say that the two of them were friends? Uh and
• 1:29:47
  bellaal like it begins monologuing and tells him that the two of us, that
• 1:29:51
  that that both him and Loose thearn actually resurrected the ancients, uh like the
• 1:29:58
  they resurrected the old actice of sword play because in the age of Legends,
• 1:30:01
  there was no wars and there was no really real need to be able to
• 1:30:06
  learn how to fight. But loose Tharren and Ballall apparently resurrected the art of
• 1:30:14
  sword play just from studying old records, and so Rand begins to So the
• 1:30:20
  two of them begin fighting. Ran conjures up a sword made a flame,
• 1:30:25
  and Ballaal does the same thing, except his his sword is made out of
• 1:30:29
  black blackfire, and when Rand summons his sword, his fire sword, you
• 1:30:35
  could see the image of some of herons on the blade, so like unconsciously,
• 1:30:43
  he still like sees himself. He's like conjuring an image of his blades
• 1:30:48
  master blade. And well, Ballall does the same thing because his sword also
• 1:30:53
  has the herons on it, and Ran realizes that means that this guy is
• 1:30:58
  a swords master, a blades master too. So the two fight. Rand

  is almost overwhelmed by Ballall because Ballaw is clearly a better sword, a better,
• 1:31:12
  more experienced sword fighter. But during a break in their fight, Moraine

  shows up and confronts Ballal, and Ballah looks at her. I'm like,

  please you you modern day I sidized, I said, I don't hold any
• 1:31:26
  kind of power towards me and uh, don't even come close to my power.

  And Moraine basically is like that. She raises her hands and Ballall realizes
• 1:31:35
  what she's about to do, and he's like, oh ship, and she
• 1:31:39
  fires bail fire at him and kills him. Who Yeah, So Moraine,

  I gotta say, you gotta give I gotta give her respect because she becomes
• 1:31:49
  a legend. She's she becomes a bit of a legend herself because she's one.

  She's one of the only isid I to have faced a forsaken and wan

  because modern day I said, I, they are not as powerful as channelers

  from the age of legend. Like the weakest of the forsaken is still like

  one hundred times more powerful than modern day is Sidi. Well, okay,

  I wouldn't say a one hundred times more like like ten times more powerful.

  Still very like the weakest of the forsaken is still like ten times more powerful

  than the average Isidi. And so Moraine tell uh, tells, Rand,

  Klandor, which is still suspended in mid air, but before he could do

  before either him or Moraine could do anything. Uh. Black smoke at the

  dome of the at the top of the dome above them, and from it

  Balzamon's face appears. Lightning shoots down and strikes Morain, knocking her out,

  and Balzamon begins to assault Rant. Ran narrowly avoids the assault and counters it
• 1:33:20
  with his own power, but he's still like, oh, he's still He's
• 1:33:26
  still too inexperienced with the power to actually do anything effective against Balzamon. But
• 1:33:32
  as he's ducking and weaving and avoiding Balzieman's attack, Ran actually manages to maneuver
• 1:33:39
  himself up to the sword of the Sword Kalandor, and he takes it.
• 1:33:45
  He reaches out and he grabs it. And when he does, while everything
• 1:33:53
  has happened, there is still fighting going on. The ay Eel and the
• 1:33:57
  Tyrants are all fighting each other. But he wraps the sword, holds it
• 1:34:00
  up and it begins to glow, and he proclaims that he is the dragon
• 1:34:05
  Reborn, and the Iel and the Tyrants stop fighting and they all immediately kneel
• 1:34:12
  before him as But it's at that point. It's at that point that Balzamon
• 1:34:20
  manifests himself fully and begins to attack Ran again. Ran, using Colandor's the
• 1:34:27
  power he gets from Colandor, fights back, and Balzemon quickly realizes he's now
• 1:34:32
  overpowered. He's outmatched by Kran, so he flees into the dream world itself
• 1:34:40
  because that's where Balziemon has been hiding this whole time. And when he does
• 1:34:44
  this, Rand notices the weave that can see the weave that Balzimon used to
• 1:34:49
  open a door into the dream world because Balizmon himself physically entered the dream world
• 1:34:55
  instead of projecting his mind. So when Reren sees that, he's able to
• 1:34:59
  copy it and open the doorway into into Teleandriod and physically enter it himself,
• 1:35:06
  it's there he starts chasing Balzaman through the dream world, and that's when Parent
• 1:35:12
  sees him running through with the glowing sword. With his experience and power over
• 1:35:16
  the dream world, the Balzamon begins warping it and throwing things at Ran to
• 1:35:20
  try to kill him or trap him, but Ran, using his power,
• 1:35:26
  using his own power and the power and the boost he's getting from Kalandor,
• 1:35:30
  he keeps countering and negating everything that Balzemon is doing. Eventually he does manage
• 1:35:36
  to corner Balzamon and run him through, killing him. And when he kills
• 1:35:43
  Balizmon, he notices something's off, like Balzemon still like kept this dark image
• 1:35:49
  of like a burning face over over his like a mask of a burning face
• 1:35:55
  over his own face. So when he kills Balzamon, he notices that that
• 1:35:59
  image just peers and he sees what looks like to be a normal man,
• 1:36:03
  and he suspects that he didn't actually kill the Dark One himself. And later
• 1:36:09
  on, when he's discussing things with Moraine and he Moraine tells him this that
• 1:36:16
  was probably most likely a Shamel, the Dark One's chief lieutenant, And after
• 1:36:21
  review and after considering the course of events throughout history, she suspects that Ishamel
• 1:36:30
  was only half sealed away and he would go through these sleep wake cycles throughout
• 1:36:36
  the last three thousand years, and every time he was awake, he would
• 1:36:42
  use his dream walker abilities to reach out and influence the world, so he
• 1:36:45
  would direct his So Ishamel would direct his dark the Dark friends and send them
• 1:36:55
  in whatever direction he wants. He would control the the Trolocks and the Marriagraw
• 1:36:59
  and have him attack like start attacking people. So Shamel for the past three
• 1:37:04
  thousand years has been orchestrating all the major catastrophes and wars, from the one
• 1:37:12
  hundred Year War, the Troloc Wars, the War Archi, Pendrag's conquests,
• 1:37:18
  everything is Shamel was that driving factor because historically speaking, a lot of these
• 1:37:27
  people that were at the center, that were at the center of these conflicts,
• 1:37:30
  they all reported or like in their journals, or like in discussions,
• 1:37:35
  or like if the isida I managed to capture one of them and interrogate them,
• 1:37:41
  they all agreed that they were being tormented by this figure with a fiery
• 1:37:47
  face in their dreams. Now Rand has fulfilled another one of the prophecies,

  and this one was very important because this uh this determined one hundred percent without
• 1:38:03
  a doubt that Rand is the Dragon Reborn, because Colandor can only be claimed

  by the Dragon Reborn. And it also fulfilled another prophecy because in the prophecy,

  not only would he take up with the Dragon Reborn claim Colandor, but

  the stone of Tear would fall and it would fall to the people of the
• 1:38:25
  Dragon and it's revealed it's not actually revealed until book four, but I'll go

  ahead and spoil it for you guys. It's revealed that the Eye Eel referred

  to themselves as the people of the Dragon in secret, though that this is
• 1:38:40
  something that they say to them. They refer to them to themselves away from
• 1:38:45
  other like from Wetlanders as they call them, because they refer to people in
• 1:38:49
  the Westlands as wetlanders and ladies and gentlemen. That is the end of book
• 1:38:58
  three. The book pretty much ends where the sun is rising and people of
• 1:39:04
  Tier they began to suspect people outside of the fortress. They had gotten like
• 1:39:11
  they could tell something was going on because they there was. Of course,
• 1:39:14
  you know, you can't have a major battle going on in your fortress without
• 1:39:18
  somebody noticing outside of it. Yeah, And so the regular people are waking
• 1:39:24
  up and they're beginning to hear rumors that something went down in the Stone,

  and when they look towards the Stone of Tier, they see a ban a
• 1:39:31
  new banner is flying over the stone, and that is the Dragon Banner itself.

  So the Stone of Tier, which is which has been boasted as as
• 1:39:45
  never being able to fall as an impenetrable fortress, had fallen to the dragon

  reborn and the Dragon and people of the Dragon. Oh my, oh my,

  and the booty thick and the booty thickens. Mm hmm. Now,

  had more or less succeeded in tracking down the Black Asia and managed to capture

  two of them. Yeah, and Moraine learns that is now convinced that the

  that all of the Forsaken have a skit have been released and that now most
• 1:40:53
  likely each of them has hidden themselves in major cities all across the Westlands.

  Il is in uh Ilian. The law is was here in tier before U
• 1:41:10
  before Rand killed him, and now she knows that as Shamel is dead,

  or at least she suspects that that he's dead, and now they can continue

  on with their plans and figuring uh and bringing the world together. So and

  Rand now also is technically the high Lord of Tyr because since now since the

  Aeel also the ay Eel have pledged themselves to him because they believe he is

  their Cara Corn. And it also helps that they recognize him as an a

  eel because since rand has the general appearance of an a eel, red hair,

  he's like over six foot five feet tall, and because that's pretty much

  the general appearance of the ay Eel. There race of warrior gingers, tall

  warrior gingers, not people. I'm just not tall, not as tall as

  them. Yeah, yeah, Matt and parent. Basically, their whole group

  got separated, like the whole group got separated in this story. But now

  they're back together in Tier and now we will be leading up into this will

  now lead up into book four of the real time book for the Shadows,

  The Shadow Rising. Mm hmmm, so a lot does so Book three was

  important, and that it was an important turning point in the overall story because

  begin his journey in bringing people together, the people of all the lands together

  he started studying extensively the the prophecies of the Dragon Reborn and to help God.

  This way, it'll help him, It'll help guide his actions because he

  knows that he's going to need to figure out that he's going to have to

  lead everyone in the fight against the Dark One, and that fight will become

  begin preparing the world for this final battle, and it started here in Tier.

  Now Tyr is under his belt and the ie Ol chieftains that were the

  Iel chief that appear that showed up in Tier tell him that they need him

  to fulfill their prophecies of the Carra Corn and Ran Will. After studying his

  own prophecies, the prophecies of the Dragon Reborn, he realizes that yeah,

  that's his next course of action is to get the Iel too, is to
• 1:44:06
  unite the Iel clans, get them under his belt and and have them serve
• 1:44:13
  as the bulk of his army and begin bringing the other nations together. So
• 1:44:19
  book four will uh for the most part, will for the most part focus
• 1:44:26
  on Rand uniting the Ael plans and he'll actually go into the Threefold Lands to
• 1:44:30
  fulfill those prophecies and get the Iel to cut to serve him and bring them
• 1:44:36
  over into the Westlands so they can start bringing everybody else together. Now,

  so most In most cases, he hopes to unite the people through like reason
• 1:44:48
  and diplomacy. Other people he's definitely going to have to put put down a
• 1:44:59

  finish, because we're gonna see uh, we're gonna see more of the Forsaken

  because so far we've only seen Uh for the most part is Shamel as he
• 1:46:26
  pretends to be the Dark One, as as Balsamoll. We don't actually see

  Samul in this one. He does make an appearance in the next book as
• 1:46:38
  several of the Forsaken begins. UH plot and scheme together. And this is
• 1:46:43
  mainly uh. This is actually mainly from land Fear because land Fear herself actually
• 1:46:49
  does appear in this book. She does. She is seen by Igwayne uh

  while they were still at the White Tower. Uh. Land Fear herself was

  actually kind of just perusing the White Tower looking for something that doesn't really doesn't

  really say what exactly she was looking for, but uh, it's confused.
