- 0:19Speaker 1: I do Part two. I'm here with Brian Austin Green.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm Kathy Schwartz, and we are here with Farmer Sean
- 0:27Speaker 1: and we are here to talk about all things from
- 0:30Speaker 1: Farmer Wants a Wife. Then season four coming up, So
- 0:33Speaker 1: what do you say we get started?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 0:35Speaker 3: It's exciting season four coming out. How did you feel
- 0:38Speaker 3: when you when they first reached out to you and
- 0:41Speaker 3: they were like, hey, come, come bead Well, I mean.
- 0:43Speaker 4: I got an Instagram DM one random day. I honestly
- 0:46Speaker 4: thought it was a scam, and I told my parents
- 0:48Speaker 4: about it. They just started laughing. And then as I
- 0:51Speaker 4: was talking to people in Fox, more and more it
- 0:54Speaker 4: sounded like a crazy opportunity. So I was like, I'm
- 0:57Speaker 4: only young once. I'm gonna go ahead and do it.
- 0:58Speaker 4: And I had been single for like a year before
- 1:01Speaker 4: I did the show, So I was like, what a
- 1:03Speaker 4: what a crazy time in my life and there's I
- 1:05Speaker 4: don't think there's gonna be a better opportunity to find
- 1:07Speaker 4: my potential future wife.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Unbelievable. Wow. So I got to ask you, do you
- 1:12Speaker 1: believe in love at first sight?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Sorry to believe now you are?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:19Speaker 4: I mean I think love at first sight is a
- 1:21Speaker 4: crazy saying because obviously you don't know anyone when you
- 1:24Speaker 4: first see him. But I think I kind of believe
- 1:26Speaker 4: in this thing called like the invisible string theory, where
- 1:29Speaker 4: like two people are just kind of drawn to each other.
- 1:32Speaker 4: And I think, when you know, you know.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Hold on, I got to back up invisible string. If
- 1:38Speaker 1: you'd said magnet I was with you.
- 1:40Speaker 4: It's a visible I don't necessarily know if I fully
- 1:43Speaker 4: understand it myself. The way I perceive it is that
- 1:47Speaker 4: there's almost like a string between two people and it
- 1:49Speaker 4: just draws them closer and closer, and it's just like
- 1:52Speaker 4: it's just kind of like when you have chemistry with
- 1:54Speaker 4: someone you know you know.
- 1:55Speaker 3: And you never know when you're supposed to run into somebody,
- 1:58Speaker 3: but eventually you always do.
- 1:59Speaker 2: It's like that meant to be.
- 2:01Speaker 1: But I heard what you just said, When you know
- 2:05Speaker 1: you know, are you one of those guys?
- 2:07Speaker 4: I absolutely am when you know you know? And if
- 2:10Speaker 4: he wanted to, he would, So I think I live by.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Those I love it.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I love it.
- 2:15Speaker 3: So besides the farm, your family also has an amazing
- 2:19Speaker 3: farm to table restaurant, the Gathering Table. In your perspective,
- 2:23Speaker 3: why is gathering around the table every day so important
- 2:26Speaker 3: when building a solid relationship.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Well, I think.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I mean, I grew up eating dinner with my family
- 2:32Speaker 4: at least five nights a week. It's something that was
- 2:35Speaker 4: pretty strong in my family. My dad loves to make dinner,
- 2:38Speaker 4: and I just think gathering around a table, especially over
- 2:41Speaker 4: good food and good drinks, it's an amazing thing. And
- 2:44Speaker 4: it's just all about connecting with the people you love.
- 2:46Speaker 4: And I think that's kind of what the restaurant is
- 2:48Speaker 4: all about, is bringing people together and especially experiencing good food.
- 2:51Speaker 4: And then in this valley and specific is the whole
- 2:53Speaker 4: farmer table thing. But then also partnering with local wineries
- 2:56Speaker 4: and pairing our food with the local wineries.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It's such a fulfilling experience.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 3:01Speaker 3: With my fiance, we always do we always make sure
- 3:04Speaker 3: that we have like full family dinners, and I love it.
- 3:07Speaker 3: That's that's one of the times where you get everybody
- 3:09Speaker 3: out of their room, everybody out of there stuff, and
- 3:11Speaker 3: we sit and we have these games on the table
- 3:14Speaker 3: that are just questions you answer, and so we'll pull
- 3:17Speaker 3: questions and then you go around the table and you answer,
- 3:19Speaker 3: and so I love that it's silly things, but it
- 3:22Speaker 3: really it's amazing how it brings things together and forces
- 3:27Speaker 3: you guys to just kind of slow down, that you make.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Time to eat meals with each other because you both
- 3:32Speaker 1: live busy lives, have to. Okay, So speaking of cooking,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I I met your mom and she gave me some
- 3:39Speaker 1: fabulous pistachio cake. And I looked at her because I
- 3:42Speaker 1: love to bake. I said, did you bake this?
- 3:44Speaker 2: She up?
- 3:45Speaker 1: She said no, And I'm that's.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Okaynest And my family, my dad is the restaurant connoisseur,
- 3:53Speaker 4: so he's the chef in my fan Okay.
- 3:55Speaker 3: My dad is the one that made me a coffee
- 3:58Speaker 3: and asking me what kind of can I just say, you.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Have not stopped talking about that coffee since I can't stop. Okay, Well,
- 4:05Speaker 1: if if you're that easy to please, just give the
- 4:07Speaker 1: guy a cup of coffee. Okay. I am not a
- 4:09Speaker 1: great cook. I can cook. I love to bake. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: baked from scratch. Okay. So here's my question. And I'm
- 4:17Speaker 1: not a big eater. I look like I am, but
- 4:18Speaker 1: I'm really not. Would you rather date a picky eater
- 4:23Speaker 1: or a woman like I who burns everything? She attempts
- 4:27Speaker 1: to cook.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Well, I think I'd rather date a girl that burns
- 4:30Speaker 4: everything she attempts to cook, because at least she's trying
- 4:32Speaker 4: to cook something, you know, And I think.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Such a good answers, such a good I'm just going
- 4:41Speaker 1: to tell you I already told your mother, So I'm
- 4:44Speaker 1: just gonna get silly here for a second and sappy.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You know, you are a wonderful guy in my opinion,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and I could be your mom, almost your grandmother, but
- 4:52Speaker 1: let's call let's go with mom. And I told your mother.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Behind every you said this earlier, Brian, behind every good
- 4:59Speaker 1: man is a woman. But guess what when you find
- 5:03Speaker 1: a good young man like this guy, it didn't happen
- 5:06Speaker 1: by magic. It's because you have great parents.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I totally agree.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I credit everything in my life to my parents. I mean,
- 5:11Speaker 4: they raised me so well and I couldn't ask for
- 5:14Speaker 4: better parents. Everything I have, everything I know, is a
- 5:17Speaker 4: credit to them.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Have you ever had your heart broken?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Oh? Surprisingly?
- 5:23Speaker 4: I mean I've I've had difficult situations in a relationship,
- 5:26Speaker 4: but I've never been broken up with.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Surprisingly, Yeah, you've never been broken up with?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Broken up?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Damn?
- 5:32Speaker 3: So then you didn't have any red flags going into
- 5:34Speaker 3: this you weren't concerned of.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I guess I felt the control. But
- 5:41Speaker 4: I just think in every relationship at least i've been in.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Is okay, how mad you break up with right now?
- 5:47Speaker 2: In my life? Probably four? Oh yeah, I really I haven't.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Been in a lot of relationships in my life, and
- 5:52Speaker 4: it's just because my ideologies.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I I date to Mary, you know, and.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Every girl you date you date to Mary.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Well, I wouldn't be in a relation if I didn't
- 6:00Speaker 4: think of own potential future spouse. I mean, that's the thing.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Is like, I don't just go date a round just
- 6:05Speaker 4: for fun. I do it for seriousness.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Okay, so wait, you are twenty two years old. You
- 6:10Speaker 1: are incredibly handsome.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:12Speaker 1: What characteristics do you embody? Forget that you've never been
- 6:16Speaker 1: broken up with. What characteristics do you embody that you
- 6:21Speaker 1: think would make you a good husband.
- 6:23Speaker 4: I would say leading the relationship, being the rock my
- 6:27Speaker 4: wife can always lean on my children in the future.
- 6:30Speaker 4: I think if a man is able to handle everything
- 6:33Speaker 4: and his wife can be his biggest supporter. I'm full
- 6:35Speaker 4: belief that behind every good man is a good woman,
- 6:38Speaker 4: and I fully believe that. But I also think in
- 6:40Speaker 4: every good family, there's a good man that leads the
- 6:43Speaker 4: entire house.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Wow, are you ever concerned that because you always dated
- 6:49Speaker 3: for marriage, that you didn't necessarily experience everything and you
- 6:55Speaker 3: may get into something and then later on down the
- 6:57Speaker 3: line feel like I missed out on on life or
- 7:01Speaker 3: any of that, or do you think so?
- 7:02Speaker 4: I mean, I think at least the way I was raised,
- 7:04Speaker 4: I mean, I came from a Christian background and I'm
- 7:07Speaker 4: a man of faith. So I think I've never been
- 7:09Speaker 4: the one to go, like, want to hook up with
- 7:11Speaker 4: a bunch of people or go out to a bunch
- 7:13Speaker 4: of bars and stuff like that. It's not me, and
- 7:14Speaker 4: so I've never had the curiosity to go and do it.
- 7:17Speaker 1: How important is it to you to date a woman
- 7:22Speaker 1: of faith or marry a woman?
- 7:23Speaker 2: Examely important. That's what I said going into this whole show.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I said, Hey, that's like check list number one, and
- 7:29Speaker 4: if they're not a woman of faith, they can go home.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Did you literally on your show, I'm just a little
- 7:34Speaker 1: teaser here. Did you ask that.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Question all the time to every girl that was on
- 7:38Speaker 4: the farm? Wow, that was one of the first ones
- 7:42Speaker 4: I asked each of them.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Wow, that's well, I got to say, you're a man
- 7:46Speaker 1: that stands by your faith and that's to be respected.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. What was the hardest part of this
- 7:51Speaker 1: journey for you to navigate? Because you know on my
- 7:54Speaker 1: show there were some tough times. What was the hardest
- 7:56Speaker 1: part for you?
- 7:56Speaker 4: I would say for me, it was although I like,
- 7:59Speaker 4: I know you the girl I was going to choose,
- 8:01Speaker 4: I just think it's never a good feeling to break
- 8:04Speaker 4: somebody's heart. So, I mean, when we were at the
- 8:07Speaker 4: mixer at the first episode, I knew which girls I
- 8:10Speaker 4: was going to bring back to the farm, and the
- 8:12Speaker 4: toughest part was sending the girls home and not bringing
- 8:15Speaker 4: them back to the farm because I knew which ones
- 8:18Speaker 4: I was going to bring back, And I think it
- 8:20Speaker 4: was just tough to sit there and break their heart
- 8:22Speaker 4: as they're standing there looking.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I can only imagine. And yet you have to let
- 8:26Speaker 1: some go to move forward in your journey.
- 8:29Speaker 2: That's how the process works.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Right, And I'm assuming you believe in the process.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Leaving the process. Wow, especially in the first episode, I mean,
- 8:39Speaker 4: we're all sitting there in the barn, and just the
- 8:41Speaker 4: layout of it is so incredibly tough, Like all nine
- 8:43Speaker 4: girls are sitting up there and you call each one
- 8:45Speaker 4: out by name.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It's kind of like a dodgeball game.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And you sit there and call them out and the
- 8:48Speaker 4: girls that you don't pick are still standing there looking
- 8:50Speaker 4: at you, and you can just.
- 8:51Speaker 2: See their heart crushed. And it's just not a good feeling.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Yeah, And they put themselves out there, and I kind
- 8:56Speaker 4: of put them myself in their shoes and just like,
- 8:58Speaker 4: it's got to be a bad feeling to guess be
- 9:00Speaker 4: sent home.
- 9:00Speaker 3: And yet it's part of it, it's part of it's
- 9:04Speaker 3: double edged. Yeah, this is the way some guys.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Forced to make this choice.
- 9:10Speaker 3: And it's not personal, it's this is a very specific situation.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 1: M So it's coffee and Brian, we're back here. That's me, Brian,
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's you, Brian. It is absolutely you haven't changed a bit.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I have not. We are back with another farmer, and
- 9:34Speaker 1: this time we have farmer Braidon with us. Hi, Braiden,
- 9:37Speaker 1: how's going it's going great. We're so glad to have
- 9:39Speaker 1: you here.
- 9:40Speaker 3: It's going great. Look at I show it up today
- 9:41Speaker 3: and now I have, like, you know, a nice hat on.
- 9:44Speaker 3: We have our cowboy. I'm straight cowboy. I came with
- 9:49Speaker 3: my boots. Where are yours?
- 9:51Speaker 1: I these are my boots? Yeah?
- 9:53Speaker 3: Well yeah, sneakers on a farm not there, made by Vans.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's a it's a whole new thing. Okay, Well two
- 9:59Speaker 1: of the three of us have on. But so we
- 10:00Speaker 1: know who's really a firmer here and who isn't. I
- 10:02Speaker 1: don't like your attitude. Okay, I'm sorry, So let's move
- 10:05Speaker 1: just let's just jump in here. Okay. Question for you?
- 10:10Speaker 1: What really made you want to take a leap of
- 10:12Speaker 1: faith and go on this show? Because there's a lot
- 10:14Speaker 1: of dating shows out there you could have chosen. You're
- 10:17Speaker 1: a handsome young dude, you could have chosen any of them.
- 10:19Speaker 1: What made you want to do this?
- 10:21Speaker 5: I mean, so I wasn't real familiar with the reality
- 10:25Speaker 5: TV world before this, if I'm being honest, and you know,
- 10:29Speaker 5: they kind of reached out, kind of fell in my lap,
- 10:31Speaker 5: and you know, I didn't know what to expect at first,
- 10:33Speaker 5: and honestly, I thought it was fake at first.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I was going to say, did you think it was
- 10:37Speaker 1: a prank or something?
- 10:38Speaker 2: Ye all?
- 10:39Speaker 5: And I showed a couple of my buddies and I
- 10:41Speaker 5: was like, this is funny, and they're like, well, you're
- 10:43Speaker 5: gonna do it. I was like, no, no, no, nobody's.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You said. You said in Santa Claus is coming.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Over next Yeah, And so then they finally they're just like,
- 10:54Speaker 5: well just answer it. And answered it and they're like, dude,
- 10:58Speaker 5: just take a phone call, just see what they say.
- 11:00Speaker 5: And then took a phone call and now I'm here.
- 11:03Speaker 6: So here you are?
- 11:04Speaker 1: You are season four.
- 11:06Speaker 6: Of answer your question.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Honestly, I started running out of reasons not to do
- 11:12Speaker 5: it because I was kind of like almost trying to
- 11:14Speaker 5: talk myself out of it, just because it's a crazy thing.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Had you been single a long time?
- 11:20Speaker 5: Uh? Yeah, I had a brief relationship a little bit
- 11:24Speaker 5: before the show, but that was about it.
- 11:26Speaker 3: How did they how did they know? Do you think
- 11:28Speaker 3: that the producers of this to even reach out to
- 11:30Speaker 3: you in the first time? How did they know your
- 11:33Speaker 3: story and know that you were single and know that
- 11:35Speaker 3: you were looking.
- 11:36Speaker 6: For Well, they asked me, they asked me like, are
- 11:38Speaker 6: you single.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm not a producer, but I'm going to go with
- 11:42Speaker 1: the obvious answer. Here. He's a damn good looking guy,
- 11:46Speaker 1: so let's just see if they need.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Too for sure, But I would assume then that he
- 11:50Speaker 3: was in something, but he was already to ask you, I.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Ask are you in a relationship? Damn? Okay, I'm happily engaged.
- 12:00Speaker 5: So they don't want you for season five A possibility.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Not as yet. Okay, that's not that I'm not a farmer.
- 12:07Speaker 3: So that's female completely outside the box and what they're looking.
- 12:12Speaker 3: So now you're a fifth generation, right, has there has
- 12:16Speaker 3: there any been a part ever been a part of
- 12:19Speaker 3: you that is, like, I don't want to be in
- 12:21Speaker 3: the family business. I don't want to do this. I
- 12:22Speaker 3: want to like rebel and do my own thing, and
- 12:25Speaker 3: I have all these other ideas or has farming just that.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Was honestly no, I mean, like the cliche like it's
- 12:31Speaker 5: in your blood, you know what I mean? And like
- 12:33Speaker 5: I I grew up kind of idolizing my grandpa and
- 12:37Speaker 5: idolizing my dad, and I just grew up wanting to be.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Just like your grandpa A lot a lot they all live.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I spent probably every Sunday with my grandpa
- 12:48Speaker 5: growing up, every weekend. Yeah, so he he kind of
- 12:50Speaker 5: molded me. My mom says, good. And helping him on
- 12:53Speaker 5: the farm, is that, yeah, helping him on the farm
- 12:55Speaker 5: or just getting in trouble doing whatever.
- 12:57Speaker 1: So I'm thinking a little more getting in trouble here.
- 12:59Speaker 5: Teach me all the good things and some of the
- 13:02Speaker 5: bad times. You know, that's called life.
- 13:04Speaker 1: So I we just met today. I've thoroughly impressed with you.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I think you're a great guy. I love music, and
- 13:13Speaker 1: I understand that you love music as well I do.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So do you want to find a woman who's musically
- 13:21Speaker 1: inclined or do you not like to take people who
- 13:24Speaker 1: are similar to you? Because I'm going to tell you
- 13:26Speaker 1: I love music and in dating, if a guy says
- 13:29Speaker 1: to me he doesn't like music.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Well that's a weird thing for somebody to say, I
- 13:34Speaker 3: don't like Well say that one, I don't really like music.
- 13:38Speaker 1: It's like, what do you know? You only have a
- 13:43Speaker 1: few senses to use all of them? How's your sense
- 13:47Speaker 1: of smell? I'm saying. Then, I love to listen to music.
- 13:53Speaker 1: If I'm whatever I'm doing, if I'm out walking, I've
- 13:55Speaker 1: got a button, I'm listening, I've got playlists. I love
- 13:58Speaker 1: to listen to music. What do you think about that?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Like?
- 14:01Speaker 1: It's it important to you? How how simpatico? There's a
- 14:05Speaker 1: word for I mean, do you have to be.
- 14:07Speaker 5: I don't think it's a complete deal break. I mean,
- 14:10Speaker 5: if she says she doesn't like music, I think there's
- 14:12Speaker 5: something else going on other than just not like music.
- 14:16Speaker 5: But like, no, I do love music, you know. I
- 14:19Speaker 5: love playing music. I write music when I'm not farming.
- 14:22Speaker 6: That's kind of.
- 14:23Speaker 1: My world outside of farm, a hidden desire to be
- 14:26Speaker 1: a singer songwriter.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Not like I'll say this, I'll never be able to
- 14:32Speaker 5: like totally give up the farm, Like that's just something
- 14:34Speaker 5: I don't think I could ever do, and like, no
- 14:36Speaker 5: matter where life would take me, like I would always
- 14:39Speaker 5: come back to it.
- 14:40Speaker 6: And it's such a family thing.
- 14:42Speaker 5: So I feel like leaving the farm would feel like
- 14:44Speaker 5: I'm kind of turning away from my family in a sense.
- 14:47Speaker 5: But am I Like Dad, who I work with on
- 14:51Speaker 5: the farm, Like he's never forced it on me. He's like,
- 14:53Speaker 5: you can go do whatever you want, Like, don't ever
- 14:55Speaker 5: feel like you're chaining this farm.
- 14:57Speaker 6: But you know, the songwriting is something very.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Have you produced any music that's like are you? Are
- 15:03Speaker 1: you on your way to Nashville when we finished this.
- 15:06Speaker 5: I've been in Nashville a little bit, you know, and
- 15:08Speaker 5: I got friends down there, and I haven't put out
- 15:11Speaker 5: any music on my own, just because I've never claimed
- 15:14Speaker 5: to be too much of like a great singer. I
- 15:17Speaker 5: make the joke good enough for drunk people. Okay, the
- 15:21Speaker 5: more you drink about sound, but no, I play like
- 15:26Speaker 5: every dive bar and rule Illinois.
- 15:29Speaker 3: But I have to imagine this like that working out
- 15:32Speaker 3: on the farm is I And I always talk about
- 15:36Speaker 3: this with like meditation that for me, meditating is doing
- 15:39Speaker 3: like di I y and and gardening and things like that.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I would have to imagine that being out on the
- 15:45Speaker 3: farm by yourself for a lot of the time, being
- 15:48Speaker 3: creative and using music as an outlet, is that they
- 15:51Speaker 3: go hand in hand because so many musicians and artists
- 15:55Speaker 3: come from that that life.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Absolutely, I mean like that's where a lot of the
- 16:00Speaker 5: song ideas come from. Like when you're just this is
- 16:03Speaker 5: gonna sound like the most like country cliche thing I've
- 16:06Speaker 5: ever said, But like when I'm on the tractor like
- 16:08Speaker 5: working ground or something like that, like some just kind
- 16:11Speaker 5: of pops in your head and you're just, oh, you
- 16:13Speaker 5: got nothing but time to think.
- 16:15Speaker 3: You know, when you have nobody distracting you, you don't
- 16:17Speaker 3: have conversations going on with somebody else, and that's when.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You when you on the tractor and you and some
- 16:23Speaker 1: idea comes to you and is it a theme? Is
- 16:25Speaker 1: it words? Is it a is it a series of chords?
- 16:28Speaker 5: What comes to It's always like when you know I'm
- 16:31Speaker 5: not around my guitar or anything, it's always like like
- 16:34Speaker 5: a line or a.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Phrase, like like you never know.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Yeah, So I'm just like usually it's like just an
- 16:40Speaker 5: idea or a phrase.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I'm like, I do yeah, really music, give me a
- 16:46Speaker 3: c see.
- 16:47Speaker 6: I don't know music, so like if you put music like,
- 16:51Speaker 6: I can't read.
- 16:52Speaker 1: So wait when you come off the tractor and and
- 16:55Speaker 1: you as well, Brian, do you guys like write down?
- 16:58Speaker 1: I don't even know what it's called. Do you train? Subscribe?
- 17:00Speaker 3: But it depends, so I'm sure for you because you
- 17:03Speaker 3: play guitar, you pick up a guitar and then you
- 17:05Speaker 3: start working out the.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Melody of what you heard in your head and do it.
- 17:08Speaker 3: It's you kind of find whatever tool you can to
- 17:13Speaker 3: immortalize what it is you were thinking. Because those ideas
- 17:17Speaker 3: they go as fast as they come, so don't put
- 17:20Speaker 3: them down right away. Nine times out of ten they're
- 17:23Speaker 3: gone and you wake up the next day and you
- 17:25Speaker 3: kick yourself.
- 17:25Speaker 1: You're like, oh, so, such a good idea. That's why they.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Keep a notebook and a pen phone, Like I just
- 17:32Speaker 3: put it in app Yeah, phones, man, like having the
- 17:35Speaker 3: voice recorder and the phone.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Like, I want to know meeting us, do you feel
- 17:39Speaker 1: like the urge to write a song about meeting us,
- 17:42Speaker 1: about hating this experience.
- 17:43Speaker 6: I'm going after this right for sure?
- 17:48Speaker 1: You and I to be famous.
- 17:49Speaker 3: We're gonna be were We're the ones that get forced
- 17:53Speaker 3: yeah person into that like that song about how much he.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Hates No, I'm loving this.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I'm loving that.
- 18:10Speaker 3: If you're dating a woman she makes you a playlist
- 18:12Speaker 3: of her favorite songs, are you judge your music choices
- 18:15Speaker 3: or are you embracing whatever music she likes?
- 18:18Speaker 5: So the honest answer is yeah, I'm probably judging a lot.
- 18:22Speaker 5: It's like, you know, I'm you know, I kind of
- 18:25Speaker 5: nerd out about music, you know, I want to know
- 18:27Speaker 5: like who wrote the song, like how how they wrote it,
- 18:30Speaker 5: what's the story behind? And I'm pretty like anymore. This
- 18:35Speaker 5: is kind of the controversial thing is like I can't
- 18:38Speaker 5: stand listening to like country radio.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I just I really because a fan of like of
- 18:45Speaker 3: old country compared.
- 18:47Speaker 5: To yeah and just like kind of like the singer
- 18:50Speaker 5: songwriter stuff, like.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Just like who is your favorite man? That's give me
- 18:54Speaker 1: the top what's your favorite genre?
- 18:57Speaker 6: That country? I can't really can.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I interrupt here? He said he loves country. Country is
- 19:04Speaker 1: a genre. Then I said who your top three? And
- 19:08Speaker 1: you said what's your favorite genre? So that's pete and repeat,
- 19:13Speaker 1: thank you.
- 19:14Speaker 5: I mean that's so hard. You know, I grew up
- 19:17Speaker 5: on a lot of Alan Jackson. Oh yeah, and uh,
- 19:21Speaker 5: but like.
- 19:23Speaker 6: Like Dean Dylan probably never heard that name.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I've never heard that name, and I.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Like every George Straight hit you can think, you know
- 19:30Speaker 5: what I mean? Like, and that's just like what I
- 19:32Speaker 5: kind of nerd out that because I'm just like, nobody
- 19:35Speaker 5: knows who this guy is and he's written every song
- 19:38Speaker 5: in all of your favorite songs.
- 19:39Speaker 1: What do you think of the new like the country?
- 19:43Speaker 1: How do I say this pop country that's so prevalent today?
- 19:46Speaker 5: This is what I say, Like, I I don't mind
- 19:49Speaker 5: a lot of it, but when I'm listening to somebody
- 19:51Speaker 5: like this is my biggest thing if I like believe it,
- 19:54Speaker 5: Like if I believe what you're saying, even if it's
- 19:56Speaker 5: like that poppy stuff like if I believe it then
- 20:00Speaker 5: if it like it's a feeling. But if it's if
- 20:03Speaker 5: I just see you know whoever like singing this song
- 20:06Speaker 5: and I can tell they're kind of like playing this
- 20:08Speaker 5: act like that's just kind of what turns me, turns
- 20:11Speaker 5: me off to it.
- 20:12Speaker 1: This is a true country music man here. It's like,
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'm I love my I mean, you know, I've got
- 20:17Speaker 1: my country music literally all the time going. But I
- 20:20Speaker 1: like the pop country I do too.
- 20:23Speaker 6: I mean I like some of it, and like.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Music is a tough one, like for me, I know,
- 20:27Speaker 3: whenever I hear music where you can tell that it's
- 20:30Speaker 3: been produced for like perfection, then it loses the emotion
- 20:35Speaker 3: that's tied to it, and then I don't like it
- 20:37Speaker 3: as much because to me, music invokes emotion. That's the
- 20:41Speaker 3: beauty of it. I grew up, I grew up in it.
- 20:43Speaker 3: My dad is a he was a country drummer. He
- 20:46Speaker 3: was turning off Glenn Campbell. That's so awesome for Campbell,
- 20:49Speaker 3: Glenn Campbell, Rhinestone cowboy kidding So my dad, Okay, my
- 20:53Speaker 3: dad played drums on that.
- 20:55Speaker 6: That is so cool. That is so cool.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, I hadn't thought about it, but I do
- 21:00Speaker 1: know there's some music purists who don't like exactly describing
- 21:05Speaker 1: what you're saying.
- 21:06Speaker 5: And like I said, I do like you know, I
- 21:08Speaker 5: like Morgan Law and like I like that. I was
- 21:10Speaker 5: going to ask you, yeah, And it's just like sometimes
- 21:13Speaker 5: I don't know if this is like me being bitter
- 21:16Speaker 5: or like being a songwriter, but like sometimes you hear
- 21:19Speaker 5: a song on the radio and you're like, I could
- 21:22Speaker 5: write this in five minutes, you know what I mean?
- 21:24Speaker 5: Like this guy's making millions of dollars.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Like okay, So, speaking of being retired and moving back
- 21:30Speaker 1: to farming, I have one question that I still want
- 21:32Speaker 1: to ask you going through this experience of being on
- 21:35Speaker 1: the Farmer Wants a Wife and how to have its
- 21:38Speaker 1: ups and downs. You're a positive guy, you you know,
- 21:40Speaker 1: you seem to have a good vibe about you. What
- 21:44Speaker 1: did you lean on to get you through the difficult
- 21:47Speaker 1: decisions during the show, because I know that they were
- 21:53Speaker 1: it had to be tough. You have lovely women. That's
- 21:55Speaker 1: got to be tough to let people go. Who what
- 21:57Speaker 1: how did you get through it? Well?
- 21:59Speaker 5: That was the hard and that never like just sending
- 22:03Speaker 5: somebody home just felt horrible.
- 22:06Speaker 2: It just.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I mean, like it's because sometimes like with
- 22:12Speaker 5: this world is like you got to send some people home,
- 22:16Speaker 5: like especially early on, that don't really deserve it, you
- 22:19Speaker 5: know what I mean, Like it's you don't really have
- 22:21Speaker 5: a reason to send them home sometimes just it's just
- 22:25Speaker 5: kind of like what you have to do this kind
- 22:27Speaker 5: of name of the game. And so that was really tough.
- 22:30Speaker 1: And did you used to send people? And if you,
- 22:33Speaker 1: assuming you.
- 22:33Speaker 5: Did, honestly, well, they wouldn't let me keep everybody.
- 22:41Speaker 3: He was like.
- 22:46Speaker 5: The quick you know, I mean, like honestly, like when
- 22:50Speaker 5: it got down, so it became super real for me.
- 22:55Speaker 5: And that's like something that I wasn't really expecting. But honestly,
- 23:00Speaker 5: again as cliche as it sounds, is like you really
- 23:02Speaker 5: just got to like trust your gut and like follow
- 23:05Speaker 5: your heart, and like, you know, I just was always
- 23:09Speaker 5: thinking about like who am I thinking about right now?
- 23:11Speaker 6: Like who's like whom I.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Think when I'm not like around them, and like who's
- 23:17Speaker 5: sticking out to me.
- 23:18Speaker 1: At the end of the day, Like you'd go to
- 23:19Speaker 1: bed whom I thinking, right, Wow.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Wake up in the morning, you can't wait to see
- 23:24Speaker 3: somebody or you get there. Yeah, I can only imagine yeah.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I could trust me. I really can only imagine.
- 23:32Speaker 3: It seems like you would start having those moments that's
- 23:35Speaker 3: got to be really, really scary.
- 23:39Speaker 1: And then also really exciting at the same time. It's
- 23:42Speaker 1: like a push and pull because you hate to send
- 23:44Speaker 1: people home, but the same time, sending people home is
- 23:48Speaker 1: getting you to closer, too closer to the goal of finding,
- 23:52Speaker 1: hopefully finding your person.
- 23:53Speaker 5: One thing I was kind of guilty of, and you
- 23:55Speaker 5: know talking with other guys is like it's easy to
- 23:58Speaker 5: get this way is sometimes you're you're just constantly thinking
- 24:02Speaker 5: about like who you're going to send home because it's
- 24:04Speaker 5: like such a hard decision, so you.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Get you want to get it over with.
- 24:07Speaker 5: You get hung up on that instead of like thinking
- 24:09Speaker 5: about like you know, oh, like it's her, like yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 5: you know, so, yeah, there's a lot going.
- 24:20Speaker 3: On that's unbelievable. I can't imagine. I mean, I'm being honest.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I was not the chosen one on my show, and
- 24:29Speaker 1: so I didn't have to do what you had to
- 24:32Speaker 1: do as a lead. Yeah, because I wasn't one. But
- 24:35Speaker 1: I think that's got to be really tough to look
- 24:38Speaker 1: at people who are potentially theoretically they've been vetted they're
- 24:42Speaker 1: all lovely human beings and you to say bye bye.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Yeah, what's amazing is you watch the show and you think,
- 24:50Speaker 3: oh my god, how are like, how are these women
- 24:51Speaker 3: so especially episode one, how are they already so committed
- 24:56Speaker 3: and in this? But you forget You don't think about
- 25:00Speaker 3: what it's like to be on the other side of that,
- 25:01Speaker 3: having to choose people and knowing that you're going to
- 25:04Speaker 3: hurt people's feelings.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah, well, can I tell you what I've been thinking?
- 25:07Speaker 1: How lucky Brian you and I are to have met
- 25:10Speaker 1: today than an amazing you are an amazing guy. We
- 25:13Speaker 1: wish you all the best.
- 25:15Speaker 6: I appreciate.
- 25:15Speaker 1: We hope your season is everything you want it to be,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and that you find the beautiful, lovely, incredible woman so
