- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's up you guys. I'm Andrea and I'm Haley,
- 0:03Speaker 1: and you're listening to Inhuman, a true crime podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Okay, before we get into Andrea's episode this week, I
- 0:11Speaker 2: need to share about what happened to me this last weekend.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yes, so I was.
- 0:16Speaker 2: In Indiana for a wedding. My like one of my
- 0:20Speaker 2: best friends from college was getting married and we were
- 0:23Speaker 2: in Indianapolis for the wedding and something uh not so
- 0:29Speaker 2: happy happened on the wedding day. Let me preface this
- 0:32Speaker 2: with everyone is okay, Everything is fine. The wedding was
- 0:37Speaker 2: beautiful and went really well. And it's nothing like, oh
- 0:41Speaker 2: my gosh, like I posted on my Instagram story like,
- 0:43Speaker 2: oh some sort of true crime happened to me this weekend,
- 0:47Speaker 2: and everybody was like, oh my god, are you okay?
- 0:48Speaker 1: And I was like, yes, yeah, it is crazy though,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I mean it is.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It is so basically, the wedding was in this place
- 0:58Speaker 2: that's uh restaurant and like a public building that has ballrooms,
- 1:03Speaker 2: and where the ballrooms are, there's a coffee shop and
- 1:06Speaker 2: that's where our like getting ready rooms were, where the
- 1:08Speaker 2: bridesmaids were. I was one of the bridesmaids. I guess
- 1:10Speaker 2: I should say that. And so we were getting ready
- 1:13Speaker 2: in this room and we left to go take photos
- 1:17Speaker 2: because you know, before the wedding, go to your bridesmaids. Yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 2: and we left and all of our stuff was still
- 1:23Speaker 2: in the room, like every everybody's purses and bags with
- 1:26Speaker 2: like our clothes, and there was food in there and
- 1:28Speaker 2: all that stuff. And we come back probably like thirty
- 1:31Speaker 2: forty five minutes later, and nothing was wrong. And then
- 1:34Speaker 2: all of a sudden, one girl is like, wait, I
- 1:36Speaker 2: just got a frodd alert, like this is weird. Let
- 1:38Speaker 2: me go figure this out. And then another girl was like,
- 1:41Speaker 2: wait a minute, I did too, and then the bride
- 1:45Speaker 2: was like, wait a minute, Oh my god, I did too,
- 1:48Speaker 2: and you're like did I right, Everybody's like, oh my god.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And so then everybody like looked for their wallets and
- 1:56Speaker 2: it was just this moment of like, oh my god,
- 1:59Speaker 2: what is happening.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And in my mind, like I checked.
- 2:04Speaker 2: My purse for my wallet but wasn't even registering like
- 2:08Speaker 2: what was going on. And this was like as everybody
- 2:12Speaker 2: else was realizing or some of the other girls were
- 2:14Speaker 2: realizing that their wallets were gone. So somebody robbed us.
- 2:19Speaker 2: They came in and took four wallets, and I think
- 2:23Speaker 2: that he just took the ones that are like that
- 2:26Speaker 2: were like on the top of bags, like they were
- 2:29Speaker 2: still inside purses, but like mine was in my bag
- 2:34Speaker 2: and then it was under like my clothes and stuff
- 2:37Speaker 2: because we had changed and I put my old clothes
- 2:39Speaker 2: like on the top of my bag so they couldn't
- 2:42Speaker 2: just grab it. But then other girls had like purses
- 2:45Speaker 2: and so they could just grab it. So it was like,
- 2:48Speaker 2: like how shitty of a person do you have to
- 2:50Speaker 2: be to rob a bridal party, including the bride. I mean,
- 2:54Speaker 2: he didn't know which ones he took, but like seriously
- 2:57Speaker 2: and thankfully everybody got it figured out. The people that
- 3:02Speaker 2: had to travel, their passports were at home. Everybody was
- 3:05Speaker 2: able to like cancel their cards, and they apparently actually
- 3:08Speaker 2: did get a photo of the guy through security footage.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And the police came, which was like the most surreal
- 3:15Speaker 2: thing because it's like the ceremony happened, and then by
- 3:18Speaker 2: the time the police came, the reception was starting and
- 3:21Speaker 2: it was like this, there's a police officer like outside
- 3:23Speaker 2: taking this police report, as like the father of the
- 3:26Speaker 2: of the bride is giving his speech.
- 3:28Speaker 3: It was so weird.
- 3:29Speaker 1: That is so weird. That's gonna be one that one
- 3:31Speaker 1: for the books to tell for.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Twenty years, you know.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but yeah, apparently they he said, and I
- 3:39Speaker 2: heard this from somebody else that talked to him. I
- 3:42Speaker 2: didn't hear this directly from him, but apparently he said
- 3:45Speaker 2: that this guy has done this before, but they don't
- 3:47Speaker 2: know who he is. They just like have had similar report.
- 3:51Speaker 1: How do people have access to that space? Like is
- 3:54Speaker 1: it just a free for all, like come and go?
- 3:57Speaker 2: So it's like a public coffee shop that's in that space,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and the room wasn't locked, and so you know, somebody
- 4:03Speaker 2: probably would have just thought he was in this area.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But also I don't think the police meant it had
- 4:08Speaker 2: happened before here. It was like the charges that he
- 4:12Speaker 2: made on the card was very distinct. So yeah, it
- 4:16Speaker 2: was just so distinct that they knew it was likely
- 4:19Speaker 2: the same guy. But I haven't heard anything about what happened.
- 4:22Speaker 2: But everyone was able to cancel their cards. The ceremony happened.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It was beautiful and wonderful, and nobody got hurt or anything.
- 4:29Speaker 2: That's good, but it was just so surreal having that
- 4:33Speaker 2: happen to us and it's not like it was like
- 4:36Speaker 2: a sketchy area, you know, like it wasn't You're like, yes,
- 4:41Speaker 2: it was a public building, but it wasn't like anything sketchy.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Well, hopefully that they have his picture and like this
- 4:46Speaker 1: is a reoccurring thing. Hopefully somebody maybe they can like
- 4:49Speaker 1: put it out there and someone will come forward and
- 4:51Speaker 1: be like I know that motherfucker and like, yeah, exactly,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the criminal taken to jail.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope. So it's so crazy, but yeah, it was.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It was wild. And then that same night, like later
- 5:04Speaker 2: on in the reception, all of a sudden, I get
- 5:06Speaker 2: an alert on my phone that our home security system.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Ohh and I was like, we're not home, nobody's home,
- 5:16Speaker 2: and what is happening?
- 5:18Speaker 3: There's like it was so sketchy.
- 5:20Speaker 2: So like then Rob, I like ran over to Rob
- 5:22Speaker 2: because I'm like in the bridal party, so I'm like
- 5:25Speaker 2: trying to help out with other stuff. So I like
- 5:29Speaker 2: sprint over to Rob and I'm like, hey, look at this.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So he took it and like took care of it,
- 5:34Speaker 2: and the cops came and checked it out and didn't
- 5:36Speaker 2: see anything. And when we got home, there was nothing.
- 5:39Speaker 2: So I'm not sure exactly what set it off, but
- 5:41Speaker 2: I'm glad that our security system works works and that
- 5:44Speaker 2: we have it.
- 5:44Speaker 3: So that's good.
- 5:46Speaker 1: That's crazy. What an eventful weekend you had.
- 5:48Speaker 2: It really, it really was, and I'm just so thankful
- 5:51Speaker 2: mine wasn't stolen because I wouldn't have been able to
- 5:54Speaker 2: get back home on Sunday because like I wouldn't have
- 5:59Speaker 2: had my IDA and other people had their passports but
- 6:02Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Obviously, so that's crazy.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But yeah, you know, that was my little true crime
- 6:08Speaker 2: ish experience. You know, like I said, no one was hurt,
- 6:11Speaker 2: but it was still still kind of scary.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, definitely scary. Okay, so now we're going to
- 6:18Speaker 1: dive into my case for this week. This one came
- 6:24Speaker 1: I thought highly requested for some reason. I thought there
- 6:26Speaker 1: was like four listeners that requested this. And if I
- 6:30Speaker 1: if you did request it, and I'm not naming you
- 6:32Speaker 1: off right now, I'm very sorry, please like message me
- 6:36Speaker 1: on Instagram or something, but this case was recommended. I
- 6:41Speaker 1: guess you could say by Juliet and Matt. They're not together.
- 6:46Speaker 1: They're two suparate entities, but two separate entities. Thank you
- 6:52Speaker 1: guys for sending in your case suggestions because we definitely
- 6:55Speaker 1: want to give you, guys, you know what you want
- 6:57Speaker 1: to hear. And this case is fucking crazy. I had
- 7:02Speaker 1: heard this case, but I had totally like poofed it
- 7:05Speaker 1: out of my brain and didn't remember any of the details.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And then I was telling Haley earlier that there's like
- 7:12Speaker 1: recent developments in the last couple of days, so it's
- 7:17Speaker 1: you know, it's pretty current, and I'm assuming that's probably
- 7:20Speaker 1: why people want to like hear what's going on and
- 7:22Speaker 1: what happened and stuff.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't heard this one. Maybe when you start
- 7:26Speaker 2: diving into it, I might remember some of the details,
- 7:28Speaker 2: but that by the name, I don't know it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think you if you've heard it,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you will know, okay, because some of the details are
- 7:39Speaker 1: very gruesome, and I will just give a trigger. I'll
- 7:42Speaker 1: give a trigger closer to the time too. But there
- 7:45Speaker 1: is a lot of like gruesome details to this case.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So if that's not your it's not my jam either, honestly.
- 7:53Speaker 1: But it's these kind of cases like are like it
- 7:58Speaker 1: takes a lot for a case to really get to me.
- 8:00Speaker 1: These kind of cases really get to me because gosh,
- 8:02Speaker 1: it's pretty it's pretty morbid. So now I will give
- 8:05Speaker 1: you a trigger so you can just stop listening to
- 8:08Speaker 1: talk and except I can't. Yeah, yeah, but I am
- 8:13Speaker 1: going to be covering the case of Sidney Loof. So
- 8:17Speaker 1: twenty four year old Cindy Loof was sweet, generous, she
- 8:21Speaker 1: loved cats, and by all accounts, would do anything for anyone,
- 8:26Speaker 1: despite having her own issues. So some of the reports
- 8:30Speaker 1: I read like she had some mental health issues. She
- 8:33Speaker 1: was kind of struggling with things financially, you know, typical.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Like I feel like, kind of typical twenty four year
- 8:39Speaker 1: old shit. I mean when I was twenty four, I
- 8:40Speaker 1: was like, I didn't know things.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I mean, I'm twenty four right now, and I don't
- 8:44Speaker 2: know what the hell is going on ninety nine percent
- 8:47Speaker 2: of the time.
- 8:48Speaker 1: So exactly. So, I mean, you know, everyone has issues,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and I feel like when you're young, it's kind of
- 8:53Speaker 1: a ride of passage. She had graduated from Nee Lai
- 8:57Speaker 1: Oakdale High School. I believe that that's announce correctly in
- 9:01Speaker 1: twenty eleven, which is in Nebraska.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I'm just gonna ask what state, okay, in Nebraska?
- 9:06Speaker 1: In Nebraska. Yeah, she was currently at that time working
- 9:10Speaker 1: as a cashier at a local hardware store called Manards.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I've heard of Manards, Oh my god, I have to.
- 9:18Speaker 2: That was like some like a place that people would
- 9:21Speaker 2: talk about all the time when I went to school
- 9:22Speaker 2: in Indiana, and I was like, I don't know what
- 9:24Speaker 2: that is and like, but everybody would talk about it.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Ah, I feel so like in the know.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I used to watch a YouTuber and she I can't remember.
- 9:34Speaker 1: She lived in like I think she lived in like
- 9:37Speaker 1: South Dakota or something. She lives like where it was
- 9:39Speaker 1: really cold, like most of the year, and she would
- 9:42Speaker 1: always get like her well not always, but she would
- 9:45Speaker 1: get a lot of her seasonal decor from Manars. So
- 9:49Speaker 1: it is a hardware store, but I guess they have
- 9:51Speaker 1: like house stuff there. You I'm pretty sure correct.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Me, isn't it.
- 9:55Speaker 2: But isn't the jingle like save big money at Mona?
- 10:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 10:01Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure it is.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I think I did. Okay, Yeah it may be.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That is funny.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Okay, now that's stuck in my head.
- 10:14Speaker 1: So she was working at Minards and she had also
- 10:19Speaker 1: much like you know, some people at her age had
- 10:23Speaker 1: begun using the dating app tender.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yep, I say, yep, as if I've ever used.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Tender, Never have I ever, And I'm so thankful because
- 10:34Speaker 1: I've heard nothing but horror stories, literal this, literal horror
- 10:38Speaker 1: story and then you know the yea quote unquote horror stories.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I know a lot of people have met their significant
- 10:44Speaker 2: other through Tender or other dating apps. I'm lucky enough
- 10:47Speaker 2: to have met my significant other in high school, but
- 10:51Speaker 2: I was, I'm just like, I'm sitting here like, yep, Tender,
- 10:54Speaker 2: and I'm like, I've never used, because you know, it's a.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Common thing with people your age that are not already
- 11:01Speaker 1: married or engaged. On November fifteenth, twenty seventeen, she had
- 11:07Speaker 1: plans to go on a date with a girl named Audrey.
- 11:10Speaker 1: And she had met Audrey obviously through Tender, and they
- 11:13Speaker 1: had exchange messages and she was really excited about meeting
- 11:16Speaker 1: up with her. They'd been talking for a while and
- 11:19Speaker 1: it was, you know, flirtatious and fun, all that good stuff.
- 11:22Speaker 1: And she reportedly sent pictures of Audrey to some of
- 11:25Speaker 1: her friends prior to the date just in case anything
- 11:28Speaker 1: went awry, which like could go girl, because that's really smart.
- 11:33Speaker 1: And she had also made the comment to a couple
- 11:35Speaker 1: of those friends that She really hoped that this girl
- 11:38Speaker 1: was honest and didn't have a boyfriend, because I guess
- 11:41Speaker 1: that's kind of a thing with tender people lie about
- 11:44Speaker 1: their sexuality, which I don't know why you would do
- 11:47Speaker 1: that unless you.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Just unless it's like people wanting to experiment, and so
- 11:52Speaker 2: they like, yeah, I get that to not be straight
- 11:55Speaker 2: so that they can experiment, but they really like have
- 11:58Speaker 2: a boyfriend or something.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I mean, but you're not straight if you're experimenting, I
- 12:04Speaker 1: don't know whatever exactly, don't do that. Don't lie about
- 12:07Speaker 1: your sexuality.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Yeah, just be honest.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Yeah, we're accepting here, do whatever you want to do.
- 12:14Speaker 2: It's none of my business. Yeah, we're accepting. Just don't lie. Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 2: you could do whatever you want, just don't lie about
- 12:20Speaker 2: it exactly.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So earlier the evening before her date, she had posted
- 12:25Speaker 1: on Snapchat the caption like a picture with the caption
- 12:30Speaker 1: ready for my date, and her mom, Susie Luf, recalls
- 12:35Speaker 1: seeing that snapchat and she actually took a screenshot, which
- 12:38Speaker 1: is something she did often with her children, which is
- 12:41Speaker 1: so cute because like it tells you, you know, when
- 12:43Speaker 1: people say a screenshot.
- 12:45Speaker 2: My mom, like, I don't pose on Snapchat anymore really,
- 12:48Speaker 2: but my mom would always do that, like in college,
- 12:51Speaker 2: because she'd be like, oh, I want I want to
- 12:53Speaker 2: have like the photos of you and you never seen photos,
- 12:55Speaker 2: so I screenshot your Snapchat story.
- 12:57Speaker 1: It's so cute. That is really cute. But her mom,
- 13:02Speaker 1: you know, was like, wait, you're going on a day
- 13:04Speaker 1: and had texted her like hey, like who you going
- 13:07Speaker 1: out with? Like where are you guys going? But Sydney
- 13:10Speaker 1: didn't respond, which you know.
- 13:12Speaker 3: I know you said how old she was? But four? Oh.
- 13:17Speaker 2: He literally had a whole conversation about this. It's been
- 13:20Speaker 2: a long damn sorry.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So she lived on her own. She was on her own,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but she was really close with her parents and like
- 13:25Speaker 1: had a good relationship with her parents and her parents
- 13:28Speaker 1: parents would do that so sweet and so cute. And
- 13:32Speaker 1: so the following day, Sidney had been scheduled to go
- 13:35Speaker 1: into her shift at Minards, but she never showed up.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Oh no, her coworkers and friends began calling Sidney trying
- 13:44Speaker 1: to get in touch with her, because I guess you know.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Her friends were like, how was your day? How did
- 13:48Speaker 1: it go? Like give us all the tea and especially yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: so you know, they everyone began to grow a little
- 13:57Speaker 1: bit worried, and they tried were trying to get in
- 13:59Speaker 1: touch with her, but they were unable to do so. Finally,
- 14:03Speaker 1: they reached out to Susie, her mom, to see if
- 14:06Speaker 1: she had heard or seen Sydney, but she hadn't, and
- 14:10Speaker 1: of course she immediately began to grow concern knowing that
- 14:13Speaker 1: Sidney had gone on a date the night before and
- 14:16Speaker 1: that she herself hadn't been able to contact her either.
- 14:20Speaker 2: That's gotta be the scariest thing when you, like, your
- 14:23Speaker 2: child's friends come to you and say, hey, have you
- 14:26Speaker 2: heard from your daughter?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, like, because you would think she's probably more in
- 14:32Speaker 1: touch with her friends than she has my mom, and
- 14:35Speaker 1: then they're not able to get in touch with her. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's got to be a sinking feeling for sure.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 1: So she tried again to reach out to Sydney, but
- 14:45Speaker 1: there was no answer, and so she immediately notified police.
- 14:49Speaker 1: And it seems like police did a pretty good job
- 14:51Speaker 1: of like getting on top of things, because they pretty
- 14:56Speaker 1: quickly went to her apartment where they found her vehicle
- 15:00Speaker 1: parked outside. I guess her parents didn't really say if
- 15:03Speaker 1: her parents had a key or if they knew where
- 15:06Speaker 1: her spare key was, but they were able to enter
- 15:09Speaker 1: her apartment and her mom noticed that her purse, her phone,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and her keys were all there and some of the
- 15:17Speaker 1: lights were on as well.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Oh that's not a good sign.
- 15:21Speaker 1: No, So three days later police would they began the search,
- 15:25Speaker 1: of course, and three days later they would search the
- 15:29Speaker 1: location or a location in Wilburn, Nebraska, including an apartment,
- 15:34Speaker 1: looking for Sydney, after reports that she was last seen
- 15:37Speaker 1: in that area. And two days after that, Lincoln's police chief,
- 15:42Speaker 1: which is the area that she lived in, called her
- 15:45Speaker 1: disappearance concerning and urged the public to help in the
- 15:50Speaker 1: search for her or to come forward if they had
- 15:52Speaker 1: any information. Okay, Soline police police launched a full search
- 15:59Speaker 1: and devestigation into Sidney's disappearance. After more than two weeks
- 16:03Speaker 1: of searching, on December fourth, twenty seventeen, Sydney's body had
- 16:09Speaker 1: been located. Authorities had blocked off in access and Clay Center,
- 16:15Speaker 1: which is a rural a rural town ninety miles west
- 16:23Speaker 1: southwest of Lincoln, Okay, And at that time, investigator investigators
- 16:29Speaker 1: said that they suspected foul play in her death. Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 1: So here is the trigger, the additional trigger, I guess
- 16:36Speaker 1: I should say. It was later revealed that foul play
- 16:39Speaker 1: was most definitely the cause of Sidney's death due to
- 16:43Speaker 1: the fact that Sidney's body had been dismembered into fourteen
- 16:49Speaker 1: pieces and was found stuffed into garbage bags and scattered
- 16:54Speaker 1: along rural roads in Clay County.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Oh my god. They were able to.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So find this thanks to cell phone pings off the
- 17:02Speaker 1: towers in that area.
- 17:04Speaker 2: So they found her body by cell phone pings. Yes,
- 17:08Speaker 2: but her cell phone was at home.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Oh that's a good question. Wait, okay, maybe it was
- 17:14Speaker 1: just her purse, her keys that were there.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Why I put phone. Maybe something did say phone and
- 17:22Speaker 1: then this was differing.
- 17:23Speaker 3: That could be something that was.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah, okay. Not only had Sidney been dismembered, her body
- 17:31Speaker 1: had been fully drained of blood and all of her organs,
- 17:36Speaker 1: including her tongue, had been removed.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Oh my god. Yeah, and were they there?
- 17:41Speaker 1: They were never recovered. The autopsy ruled that Sidney's cause
- 17:48Speaker 1: of death was a homicidal violence due to strangulation. She
- 17:53Speaker 1: had bruises on her wrists, indicating she had been bound.
- 17:58Speaker 1: She had bruising consistent with the strangulation. As well as
- 18:01Speaker 1: bruising to the back of her neck, she also had
- 18:05Speaker 1: several false start cuts, which like they started to cut
- 18:10Speaker 1: into her and then stopped for whatever reason.
- 18:13Speaker 3: What the fuck?
- 18:15Speaker 1: Yeah, this is like some sinister, like very sinister, yeah stuff, evil,
- 18:23Speaker 1: horrific sinister people that did this to her, and a
- 18:27Speaker 1: specialist would later testify that there was clearly a couple
- 18:31Speaker 1: of different tools used to dismember her, mainly a hack saw. So,
- 18:36Speaker 1: as I mentioned earlier, Sidney had sent pictures to some
- 18:41Speaker 1: of her friends of this girl that she was meeting
- 18:43Speaker 1: up with, and one of those friends was Brooklyn mic Crystal,
- 18:49Speaker 1: and she actually thought up this genius idea to try
- 18:55Speaker 1: and catch this catfish person who lowered Sidney on this
- 19:00Speaker 1: date that clearly had cost her her life. So she
- 19:03Speaker 1: had the picture of quote unquote Audrey, and Brooklyn created
- 19:10Speaker 1: a fake tender profile and swiped until she stumbled across
- 19:14Speaker 1: the Audrey profile. Oh wow, Yeah, that's commitment right there.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 1: She immediately messaged the profile and you know, acted like
- 19:25Speaker 1: she was interested, and the Audrey person was instantly flirty
- 19:30Speaker 1: and was trying to meet up with Brooklyn. Brooklyn was
- 19:33Speaker 1: able to get a phone number for this person and
- 19:36Speaker 1: immediately handed it over to police. And I wrote, let's
- 19:39Speaker 1: get Brooklyn a standing ovation because this is some next
- 19:42Speaker 1: level shit and she deserves a reward for going way
- 19:45Speaker 1: above and beyond for her friend, because I feel like
- 19:48Speaker 1: a lot of people would not do that.
- 19:50Speaker 2: No one, that's like scary. I mean, I know her,
- 19:53Speaker 2: she created a fake profile and stuff, but you're still
- 19:56Speaker 2: talking to someone who.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You're potentially murdered your friend, And yeah, I mean that
- 20:02Speaker 1: is scary. You're putting yourself at risk.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Why didn't the police do that?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Like, I know, I was gonna say that, but I
- 20:09Speaker 2: was like, I'm not gonna sex like, you know, I mean,
- 20:11Speaker 2: I'm sure that they were doing their investigation.
- 20:15Speaker 1: But yeah, it seems like they did. They did a
- 20:17Speaker 1: good job. I mean, for the most part, a lot
- 20:19Speaker 1: of stuff was just kind of like fell into their lap.
- 20:21Speaker 3: I think. Yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Now, while all of this is transpiring, not too far
- 20:26Speaker 1: away from Sydney's apartment in the neighboring town of wilbur
- 20:30Speaker 1: which I mentioned, they searched that area earlier, a couple
- 20:34Speaker 1: had been renting out their basement to an Aubrey Trail
- 20:40Speaker 1: who was fifty one at the time, and Bailey Boswell,
- 20:44Speaker 1: who was twenty three and noticed the extremely powerful smell
- 20:50Speaker 1: of bleach and cleaner radiating from the couple's apartment. Oh my,
- 20:55Speaker 1: Aubrey is a man, by the way.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:59Speaker 1: It was really confus using to me when I was
- 21:00Speaker 1: doing my research because I kept seeing pictures of a
- 21:04Speaker 1: like an older man and a younger girl, and I
- 21:06Speaker 1: was like, Aubrey, who's this Audrey person? Oh, I don't
- 21:11Speaker 1: know any Aubrey's that are male, so that that's to me.
- 21:14Speaker 3: But and Audrey was the name of the girl.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Fake profile.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Okay, Oh wow, that's real creative.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I know, dumbasses.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Really.
- 21:26Speaker 1: So this couple, this couple was known by the people
- 21:31Speaker 1: renting them the apartment to be antique dealers. However, they
- 21:35Speaker 1: were actually into much worse. Oh god, They were con artists.
- 21:43Speaker 1: They would lie and manipulate people out of their money
- 21:46Speaker 1: by selling them fake antiques. It was reported that at
- 21:51Speaker 1: one point they sold a fake antique coin to a
- 21:56Speaker 1: couple for four hundred thousand dollars.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Oh my god, that is a lot.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Of money to be like swindled out of.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:06Speaker 1: It was also reported that Trail and Boswell were into
- 22:11Speaker 1: some pretty kinky things sexually, which like I'm not kink shaman,
- 22:16Speaker 1: but like, fuck these people. Yeah, they allegedly were ringleaders
- 22:21Speaker 1: and a sex cult, and Trail would often refer to
- 22:26Speaker 1: himself as Daddy and would make others in the sex
- 22:31Speaker 1: cult call him this no like gag me with a
- 22:36Speaker 1: fucking spoon, disgusting and this dude is grotesque. I feel
- 22:43Speaker 1: like they always arete Yeah exactly, and they and like
- 22:46Speaker 1: they supposedly one of those sources I read was like
- 22:50Speaker 1: he had this following of young women around him and
- 22:54Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't why. Yeah, you're fucking disgusting physically, emotionally,
- 23:00Speaker 1: mentally everything. How how And then the girl that Bailey Boswell,
- 23:06Speaker 1: she's like twenty three, She's not like super you know, attractive,
- 23:11Speaker 1: but still like, how do you pull a twenty three
- 23:13Speaker 1: year old when you look like that and you're like
- 23:15Speaker 1: fifty something.
- 23:16Speaker 3: That's just so gross? Like yeah, we're not.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean very well. And he he probably was
- 23:24Speaker 2: really good at talking his way through things.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Yeah, he probably didn't have money if he was living
- 23:30Speaker 1: in someone's basement.
- 23:31Speaker 2: But yeah, but he also swindled somebody out of.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Four hundred thousand dollars.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's just you know, to each their own,
- 23:40Speaker 2: do whatever you want, but that's just disgusting.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Allegedly they also thought and told people that they could
- 23:49Speaker 1: harness certain abilities, like magical abilities.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Like he claimed that he was a vampire and she
- 23:58Speaker 1: claimed that she was a like head witch. I'm like, okay,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you know, like I claim I'm a little witchy and
- 24:08Speaker 1: like I love vampires, but not like in this capacity
- 24:11Speaker 1: at all. Yeah, And I guess people believed it. I
- 24:15Speaker 1: don't know. Seems like some didn't, some didn't. And they
- 24:20Speaker 1: also spoke on wanting to film and sell snuff films, which,
- 24:28Speaker 1: if you don't know, listeners, I'm sure you do. A
- 24:33Speaker 1: snuff film is basically like a pornographic movie where an
- 24:37Speaker 1: actual murder takes place, And there was evidence of this,
- 24:43Speaker 1: like them saying they wanted this on camera, so it
- 24:46Speaker 1: wasn't just you know he said. She said. Okay, so
- 24:50Speaker 1: now that I've told you guys a little bit about
- 24:52Speaker 1: those shitbags, remember that phone number that Brooklyn handed over
- 24:58Speaker 1: to the police. Yes, it belonged to Bailey Boswell.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Oh so like it just they're just like not smart though,
- 25:08Speaker 4: like no use a burner number, you know, or like
- 25:12Speaker 4: an app.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I'm glad they didn't, because, like,
- 25:15Speaker 1: you know, police started to piece together that Sidney must
- 25:18Speaker 1: have actually gone on a date with Bailey pretending to
- 25:21Speaker 1: be Audrey based on like that information and the area
- 25:25Speaker 1: that they lived in and then the apartment smelling like bleach.
- 25:29Speaker 1: They were able to get in contact with Boswell and
- 25:32Speaker 1: she of course claimed, yes, she went out with Sidney
- 25:36Speaker 1: that night, but later had dropped her off at a
- 25:38Speaker 1: friend's house.
- 25:40Speaker 2: That's interesting that she admitted to like knowing her and
- 25:45Speaker 2: going on a date with her.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think she probably thought that, like they would
- 25:50Speaker 1: figure that out pretty quickly, but she could lie. There
- 25:52Speaker 1: was no proof that they were together the whole evening
- 25:55Speaker 1: and right, you know that kind of stuff. They requested
- 25:59Speaker 1: that Boswell come down to the police station so they
- 26:01Speaker 1: could question her formally, and she said, no, I can't,
- 26:06Speaker 1: and they were just like okay, fine, okay. It was
- 26:09Speaker 1: at this time, though, that they did a formal search
- 26:12Speaker 1: of the bleach covered apartment, which belonged to Boswell and
- 26:16Speaker 1: her gross fifty one year old boyfriend, Daddy Aubrey Trail.
- 26:21Speaker 1: And I'm like laughing, but I'm laughing at just how
- 26:24Speaker 1: disgusting and grotesque and ridiculous these people are. I'm definitely
- 26:27Speaker 1: not laughing at the case or any of the details
- 26:30Speaker 1: of that.
- 26:30Speaker 3: So we're laughing fast. We're uncomfortable.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Yeah. So in the apartment they found multiple bottles of bleach.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Most of them were empty, but some were half empty.
- 26:41Speaker 1: They found sex toys and other sexual paraphernalia, but they
- 26:48Speaker 1: did not find one single drop of Sydney's DNA. Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 1: and the apartment so it's November, mind you or December. November. December,
- 27:00Speaker 1: apartment ac was on and it was set to sixty three.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Ooh, that's weird.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Yeah, very weird. Even though police had no evidence, they
- 27:10Speaker 1: officially named Bailey Boswell and Aubrey Trail persons of interest
- 27:15Speaker 1: in Sydney's murder. However, the couple had already high tailed
- 27:19Speaker 1: it at a dodge and were officially on the run.
- 27:22Speaker 1: They posted several disturbing videos on Facebook claiming they were
- 27:26Speaker 1: not involved in Sydney's murder, which to me is like
- 27:30Speaker 1: a huge red flag and also very narcissistic, because like,
- 27:35Speaker 1: why are you even putting yourself out there if you're
- 27:37Speaker 1: if you're not guilty.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Right, One, don't run. Two, if you're claiming you're innocent,
- 27:43Speaker 2: talk to police. Brian Laundry, Yeah exactly. It just yeah,
- 27:49Speaker 2: that's so dumb and just makes you seem guilty in
- 27:54Speaker 2: my eyes.
- 27:54Speaker 1: It does. There were sightings of them and not only
- 27:58Speaker 1: Nebraska but states around Nebraska, and police were able to
- 28:04Speaker 1: eventually track them down in Branson, Missouri, and they were
- 28:08Speaker 1: able to bring them in on fraud indictments since they
- 28:11Speaker 1: had no official evidence to link them to Sydney's you know, murder.
- 28:16Speaker 1: They only had circumstantial evidence at that point in the
- 28:19Speaker 1: hotel room they found, because they found them in a hotel.
- 28:22Speaker 1: They found a few phones in their possession. Two were
- 28:26Speaker 1: Burner type phones that were pretty new from what they
- 28:29Speaker 1: could tell, and they also found an iPhone, but the
- 28:34Speaker 1: iPhone had recently been factory reset about two to three
- 28:38Speaker 1: days after Sydney had went missing. Oh interesting, Yeah, like
- 28:43Speaker 1: what do you hide in there?
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 1: They also were eventually able to get tower pings for
- 28:48Speaker 1: Boswell and Trail's cell phones. Like I mentioned earlier, the
- 28:54Speaker 1: Sydney's phone that evidently was with her, not in her apartment, helped.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Like the pings from that helped locate Sidney's remains, and
- 29:03Speaker 1: Boswell's phone pained one tower in Clay County on November sixteenth,
- 29:09Speaker 1: which was the day after Sidney went missing, and in
- 29:12Speaker 1: the same county, an area that they found Sydney's remains. So,
- 29:18Speaker 1: of course Boswell and Trail were arrested officially in the
- 29:23Speaker 1: murder of Sidney loof Wow.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Okay, And at this point it's still pretty much all circumstantial.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Correct, Okay. While in jail waiting trial, footage was uncovered
- 29:35Speaker 1: from a home depot store showing the couple buying a
- 29:40Speaker 1: hack saw, ten snips which are like needlenosed pliers, like
- 29:47Speaker 1: really narrow type plyers, bleach, a fine tooth saw, and
- 29:54Speaker 1: a drop cloth, and all of these items were purchased
- 29:57Speaker 1: on November fifteenth in the morning, which was the same
- 30:02Speaker 1: day that Sidney went on her date with Boswell and
- 30:05Speaker 1: went missing. Okay, So that right there proves premeditation since
- 30:11Speaker 1: Sidney was still alive at that time.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:14Speaker 1: It's also reported that Boswell was seen on security footage
- 30:19Speaker 1: at Minards, the store that Sidney worked at the same
- 30:23Speaker 1: freaking day, So after she picked up all of those
- 30:26Speaker 1: all of those tools and whatever, bullshit. She needed to
- 30:30Speaker 1: kill Sidney. She went to her work to stalk her. Essentially,
- 30:34Speaker 1: oh my god, like she was seen on camera like
- 30:37Speaker 1: walking behind her. They were never seen like talking or
- 30:40Speaker 1: like communicating with each other, but she was definitely in
- 30:44Speaker 1: the store, and she was definitely in close range to Sydney,
- 30:47Speaker 1: which is creepy as fuck. Creepy as fuck.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and again just like shows some sort of premeditation.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yes, the following morning, Boswell was seen again on secure
- 31:00Speaker 1: footage buying more bleach roasting pans, trash bags, and coffee.
- 31:08Speaker 1: And there was also one report I could not confirm
- 31:11Speaker 1: this in any other reports, but at one at some
- 31:14Speaker 1: point in time. But you know, during all of this,
- 31:18Speaker 1: they also bought a vintage meat grinder from a like
- 31:26Speaker 1: a vintage type store or whatever. But I don't I
- 31:32Speaker 1: don't know if those were ever recovered or if that
- 31:35Speaker 1: was even true. It could have just like you know,
- 31:38Speaker 1: people trying to sound juicier and more disgusting than a
- 31:44Speaker 1: lot of people suspected that the couple planned to perform
- 31:47Speaker 1: some sort of ritual with Sydney her like with her
- 31:51Speaker 1: organs or her body, or that they planned to sell
- 31:55Speaker 1: her organs on the dark web, since, like I mentioned before,
- 32:00Speaker 1: the police were never ever able to recover them, and
- 32:03Speaker 1: there was actually, like I guess, other parts of her
- 32:06Speaker 1: body that they were never able to recover. It didn't
- 32:09Speaker 1: specify us to what, so I don't really know what
- 32:13Speaker 1: exactly they were referring to. But so trial Trail, when questioned,
- 32:19Speaker 1: had changed his story many times, like the narcissist he is.
- 32:25Speaker 1: One of the stories he told was that Sidney was
- 32:28Speaker 1: involved in some of their sex games and things had
- 32:31Speaker 1: gone awry, that he, Sidney and two other women had
- 32:36Speaker 1: been having sex and accidentally and he accidentally sexually asphyxiated
- 32:42Speaker 1: Sidney with an extension cord, but that she was completely
- 32:46Speaker 1: compliant and that things had just gone wrong and he
- 32:49Speaker 1: accidentally killed her, which, based on the security footage, was
- 32:55Speaker 1: a fucking why because he planned to kill someone made
- 33:00Speaker 1: maybe not Sydney specifically, but he definitely planned to kill
- 33:03Speaker 1: someone with.
- 33:04Speaker 2: All of that, and you're just coming up with this
- 33:06Speaker 2: random story.
- 33:08Speaker 1: No no, no, like you're you're caught, You're done, dude,
- 33:13Speaker 1: Like just yeah, stop, stop while you're ahead. Also, while
- 33:17Speaker 1: in jail, the couple began sending letters to one another
- 33:22Speaker 1: to get their story straight, like someone wasn't going to
- 33:25Speaker 1: read them. They read them. They read all the letters.
- 33:29Speaker 1: So they're like idiots trying to like say, yeah, babe,
- 33:36Speaker 1: like when this happened, we did this right, and like
- 33:38Speaker 1: shit like that, And I'm like, get the fuck out
- 33:42Speaker 1: of here. They're dumb. They're just fucking stupid. Yeah, And
- 33:46Speaker 1: of course the trial for these two was a fucking
- 33:50Speaker 1: shit show. First of all, Aubrey Trails, dumbass, decided to
- 33:55Speaker 1: represent his self, which is.
- 33:58Speaker 3: At they do that.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I know, like, how vain can you be? Yeah, it's
- 34:04Speaker 1: not a good idea. You're not educated, you know nothing
- 34:07Speaker 1: about the justice system or law.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Both Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell faced charges of first
- 34:18Speaker 1: degree murder and the improper disposal of human skeletal remains,
- 34:24Speaker 1: and then later another charge was brought in which was
- 34:27Speaker 1: basically like premeditated conspiracy to kill or conspiracy.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 34:33Speaker 1: The Nebraska Attorney General's office, who was prosecuting their cases
- 34:38Speaker 1: said right off the bat they were considering seeking the
- 34:41Speaker 1: death penalty for both of them.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Wow, okay.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Yeah, And if Bailey Boswell was convicted and did get
- 34:52Speaker 1: the death penalty, she would have been the first female
- 34:55Speaker 1: like killed by the death penalty in the state of Nebraska.
- 34:59Speaker 1: During the trial, Trail, it's so hard I keep seeing
- 35:03Speaker 1: it's spelt the same American grammar.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Am I right?
- 35:08Speaker 1: During the Trail trial, No, no, that's right. Fuck. During
- 35:14Speaker 1: the trial, Trail claimed that Boswell at the time was
- 35:22Speaker 1: high in another room when he killed Sidney, claiming she
- 35:25Speaker 1: had nothing to do with it. However, prosecutors suspected that
- 35:29Speaker 1: Boswell helped Trail dismember Sydney and get rid of her remains.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Trail was also quoted as saying, a life for a life,
- 35:40Speaker 1: that's the rules in my world. I should be put
- 35:42Speaker 1: to death after his confession.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Okay, so came fast.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Yeah he did, okay, because he said it was an accident.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Like he's still confess. Yeah, he's still saying by this
- 35:56Speaker 1: accident of bullshit. Yeah exactly. Now this part right here,
- 36:01Speaker 1: let me tell you. During trails trial, he also yelled
- 36:08Speaker 1: out during a witness testimony, Bailey is innocent. I curse
- 36:13Speaker 1: you all and then slit his own throat. But of
- 36:18Speaker 1: course this was all for dramatic effect, and the wound
- 36:22Speaker 1: was basically superficial and he didn't fucking die, which he
- 36:27Speaker 1: doesn't deserve to get out that easily, but like, what
- 36:30Speaker 1: are you doing? What did he slid to start with?
- 36:34Speaker 1: I don't know. They I could not find anywhere like
- 36:38Speaker 1: what it was. It was probably like a pin or
- 36:40Speaker 1: something like, you know, because they are allowed to have pins.
- 36:43Speaker 1: But some people said like he had a razor and
- 36:45Speaker 1: like there was other reports that he like made a
- 36:47Speaker 1: shank or something. But they check you before you go
- 36:50Speaker 1: and I mean, I guess you could hide it and like,
- 36:52Speaker 1: you know, we're your places, but they check you before
- 36:55Speaker 1: you go into the courtroom, Like, yeah, I can't go
- 36:58Speaker 1: in there with weapons.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:01Speaker 2: So my other question is do you think he was
- 37:04Speaker 2: trying to kill himself or do you think he was
- 37:07Speaker 2: just trying to be dramatic.
- 37:08Speaker 1: I think he was being dramatic because he is a
- 37:10Speaker 1: fucking psychopathic, sociopathic narcissist.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, and was doing.
- 37:18Speaker 1: It for like for this for us to tell about
- 37:21Speaker 1: it and be like, oh my god, can you believe
- 37:22Speaker 1: this crazy thing this dumbast did? Right, So Trail only
- 37:26Speaker 1: pled guilty to improper disposal a skeletal remains, but pled
- 37:31Speaker 1: not guilty to first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Like what the way to.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Say that again. So he pled guilty.
- 37:38Speaker 1: To improper disposal a skeletal remains, Okay, but he pled
- 37:43Speaker 1: not guilty to first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
- 37:48Speaker 2: So he's basically saying it was an accidental death. But yes,
- 37:51Speaker 2: I did improperly dispose of her remains because I should
- 37:55Speaker 2: have member.
- 37:56Speaker 1: And yeah, right, that's not improper.
- 37:58Speaker 2: That is, Like, that's right, because because if it's if
- 38:02Speaker 2: it would have been an accident and you went to police,
- 38:05Speaker 2: that would have been proper. I guess you're not disposing
- 38:08Speaker 2: of it, but like whatever, yeah, or if.
- 38:10Speaker 1: He just like left her there or like left her
- 38:12Speaker 1: on the side.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Of the road, right, but he cut her up? Yeah?
- 38:17Speaker 2: No, man, no, Like I don't care if you're saying
- 38:22Speaker 2: you didn't do this, but her body was found dismembered
- 38:26Speaker 2: with the organs gone.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Yeah, where are those?
- 38:29Speaker 2: You're saying you did this. You're admitting that you did this.
- 38:34Speaker 2: So how did her body end up like that?
- 38:37Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:37Speaker 1: There's a lot of a lot of other a lot
- 38:39Speaker 1: of question unanswered questions.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:42Speaker 1: However, Aubrey Trail was convicted on first degree murder and
- 38:49Speaker 1: in proper disposal of human remains However, he was not
- 38:54Speaker 1: charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Oh, so I wonder if I guess it just wasn't
- 39:00Speaker 2: like the jury wasn't unanimous on that. But my question is,
- 39:05Speaker 2: isn't first degree premeditated?
- 39:08Speaker 3: Yes?
- 39:08Speaker 1: I believe so first degree is premeditated, second degree is heeded.
- 39:13Speaker 2: The meditating moment, right kind of thing, and then but
- 39:16Speaker 2: still purposeful, and then there's like accidental.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and then man's theater.
- 39:21Speaker 2: That's interesting that they also had the conspiracy to commit
- 39:27Speaker 2: charge on top of a first degree murder charge. But
- 39:31Speaker 2: I know nothing about the line.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I'm sure there's I'm sure when you get down to
- 39:35Speaker 1: the nitty gritty of it, there's some big difference between
- 39:37Speaker 1: the two of them, and that's why they were being
- 39:40Speaker 1: charged with it. Now. During Bailey Boswell's trial, a witness
- 39:44Speaker 1: claimed that quote Bailey Boswell got off sexually talking about
- 39:49Speaker 1: those kinds of things, referring to killing and torture. And
- 39:53Speaker 1: during both of their trials, three women testified about how
- 39:57Speaker 1: the couple would lure women into their sex cult via
- 40:01Speaker 1: the dating app Tender, and then they would convince or
- 40:05Speaker 1: try to convince them that Trail was a vampire who
- 40:10Speaker 1: could fly and read minds and that Bailey Boswell was
- 40:14Speaker 1: a witch. Oh and the women said they were all
- 40:19Speaker 1: recruited via Boswell's tender account between July and November of
- 40:23Speaker 1: twenty seventeen.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Wow.
- 40:26Speaker 1: So based on this, this is why I think. So
- 40:30Speaker 1: Bailey Boswell was convicted of first degree murder, conspiracy to
- 40:35Speaker 1: commit murder, and improper disposal of human remains. And I
- 40:39Speaker 1: think the reason why she got that was because she
- 40:42Speaker 1: was the one doing the recruiting and the luring on
- 40:47Speaker 1: her tender account.
- 40:48Speaker 3: It was her tender Okay.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Even though I'm I'm sure he was like behind a
- 40:53Speaker 1: lot of it.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Too, right, but it was connected to her cell phone number.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Yeah, So I think that's why she did get that
- 41:00Speaker 1: charge and he didn't, Okay. And like I mentioned, both
- 41:06Speaker 1: the both of them were facing the death penalty, right, so,
- 41:10Speaker 1: due to good old COVID, they're sentencing dates were postponed.
- 41:15Speaker 1: But as of Monday, November eighth, so just a couple
- 41:21Speaker 1: of days ago, twenty twenty one, Bailey Boswell was unfortunately
- 41:28Speaker 1: spared the death penalty, but was sentenced to life in
- 41:33Speaker 1: prison without the possibility of parole.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Wow.
- 41:37Speaker 2: I'm like Gray Area on the death penalty.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I am too, but I feel like these people
- 41:44Speaker 1: they can't. I don't feel like they could be rehabilitated
- 41:48Speaker 1: to the point where they deserve to live. I don't know,
- 41:53Speaker 1: it's not really my choice, or.
- 41:54Speaker 3: They don't have disuge on her in jail forever.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but is jail really that bad and you get hostils? Yeah,
- 42:03Speaker 1: but like a lot of these high security prisons they
- 42:05Speaker 1: have like fucking tablets, cable TV, like dub soap.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Dumb soap.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I like how that's on the same part as tablets
- 42:16Speaker 2: and TV.
- 42:19Speaker 1: It's just like, yeah, it sucks you're you're locked in
- 42:22Speaker 1: a cell and probably, like you know, depending on what
- 42:26Speaker 1: kind of prison she's at, she might have like one
- 42:28Speaker 1: hour of like what do they call it, like free
- 42:31Speaker 1: time or whatever? Public time. Yeah, so it may super
- 42:36Speaker 1: suck for her, but also may not be that bad. Yeah, okay,
- 42:40Speaker 1: but yeah, I'm with you on the gray area, Like
- 42:43Speaker 1: it's definitely not my place to decide whether someone should
- 42:45Speaker 1: live or die, But if somebody else wants to decide it,
- 42:48Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, do it, that's okay. So Judge
- 42:53Speaker 1: Vicki Johnson, who was the person who read the decision,
- 42:59Speaker 1: said quote the murder was coldly calculated. Boswell relished in
- 43:04Speaker 1: the murder. There was needless viewd mutilation of the body,
- 43:09Speaker 1: the murder was senseless, and Sidney Loof was a helpless victim.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Sidney Loof was needlessly mutilated by Trail and Boswell as
- 43:19Speaker 1: part of a plan to satisfy their sexual desire. The
- 43:23Speaker 1: mutilation was not done as an afterthought to hide the body.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Interesting. Yeah.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Aubrey Trail, on the other hand, wasn't as lucky. And
- 43:35Speaker 1: on June ninth of twenty twenty one, so this was
- 43:38Speaker 1: like several months ago, he was sentenced to death after
- 43:42Speaker 1: telling the court that he couldn't care less what kind
- 43:45Speaker 1: of punishment received. He also did not apologize to Sidney's family,
- 43:50Speaker 1: saying it would be a quote insult to do so,
- 43:53Speaker 1: and he repeated again the earlier claims that Boswell was
- 43:57Speaker 1: innocent and did not take part in the killer.
- 44:00Speaker 2: All Right, well, dude, she was convicted, so get the
- 44:03Speaker 2: fuck over it.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Yeah, she was there. She was fucking there.
- 44:07Speaker 3: What like, why would she be allowed to be there?
- 44:11Speaker 1: No, no, no, I'm saying she was there for the murder.
- 44:15Speaker 3: I thought you might have the trial.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I was like, what the fuck Okay, yes, agree, she
- 44:19Speaker 2: was there.
- 44:20Speaker 3: She was not innocent, like.
- 44:22Speaker 1: No, and maybe she was under some kind of like
- 44:26Speaker 1: vampire blood curse or something and was like, you know,
- 44:31Speaker 1: mystified by him or something. But regardless, still there. You're
- 44:36Speaker 1: a consenting adult and you signed up for that shit
- 44:39Speaker 1: and you were there.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Yep.
- 44:41Speaker 1: So I guess during at least one of their trials,
- 44:45Speaker 1: Cinny's parents did testify. I'm assuming they did, like a
- 44:48Speaker 1: victim statement impact yeah, an impact statement. Yeah. But aside
- 44:53Speaker 1: from that, they didn't really speak out much during the trial. However,
- 44:58Speaker 1: they did take to Facebook and express their sadness about
- 45:03Speaker 1: what happened to their daughter. Of course, yeah, they said, quote,
- 45:08Speaker 1: she was looking for that one special person when with
- 45:11Speaker 1: whom she could spend her time. She took to Tender
- 45:15Speaker 1: to look for that person, and unfortunately found someone that
- 45:18Speaker 1: had nothing but evil plans for her. They are thankful
- 45:21Speaker 1: Cindy's murderers will never again see the light of day,
- 45:26Speaker 1: and it's so sad that she like this one.
- 45:29Speaker 3: She was like, oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
- 45:31Speaker 2: I really hope that this person isn't lying and that
- 45:34Speaker 2: this is going to be as good as I think
- 45:35Speaker 2: it is.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. It's awful. Yeah, this case is like
- 45:40Speaker 1: it's horrific, it's yeah.
- 45:42Speaker 2: And they still never said what they did with the
- 45:46Speaker 2: organs or what they're and it was literally like most
- 45:50Speaker 2: likely a sexual fantasy type of thing.
- 45:53Speaker 1: The murder itself. Yeah, yeah, I think the murder itself
- 45:57Speaker 1: was like some kind of sick sexual fulfilled the organs
- 46:02Speaker 1: and and all that. I have no idea what their
- 46:05Speaker 1: thought process was and what they did with that. I mean, obviously,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I guess if you like try to sell something on
- 46:11Speaker 1: the dark web or the what was it called black market, like,
- 46:15Speaker 1: there's probably not not a paper trail back to you, So,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you know, I don't I don't know if that's what
- 46:21Speaker 1: happened necessarily or I don't know, like they don't. Police
- 46:25Speaker 1: could never recover it and can never get anything out
- 46:28Speaker 1: of them as far as like what they did with that.
- 46:30Speaker 1: But like no family, especially you know, bury their child
- 46:36Speaker 1: in those circumstances, Like it's yeah, terrible evil, the worst
- 46:41Speaker 1: of the worst.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Mm hm.
- 46:43Speaker 1: So yeah, that was a that was a heavy one.
- 46:46Speaker 2: So well, thank god Sidney sent her friend a photo
- 46:52Speaker 2: of that girl that literally could have.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Been the the red herring that solved the case, you know,
- 46:59Speaker 1: I mean I think they would eventually probably figured it out,
- 47:02Speaker 1: just because some of the other stuff like the apartment
- 47:05Speaker 1: and the pains and side security footage. Yeah, but but
- 47:10Speaker 1: you still maybe not. You never know, and it may
- 47:12Speaker 1: have taken away longer. So that's like kind of like
- 47:16Speaker 1: how we always say, if you see something, say something.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Don't be afraid to step up and say something, even
- 47:21Speaker 1: if it's I've made this fake tender profile for my
- 47:25Speaker 1: friend to try to find these people, and here's their
- 47:28Speaker 1: phone number. I mean, it could lead nowhere, or it
- 47:30Speaker 1: could lead to a break in a case exactly. And
- 47:35Speaker 1: always always always share where you are going with your friends.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Share your phone location with your friends.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Like any time you're going anywhere alone or with somebody
- 47:46Speaker 2: you don't know, just share. Just share with somebody where
- 47:50Speaker 2: you're going, what you're doing, who you're with, whatever.
- 47:53Speaker 1: It's there for a reason. This technology is there for
- 47:55Speaker 1: a reason. We live in a very crazy world.
- 47:58Speaker 3: I mean, there's so.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Much crazy stuff going on every day. It's very sad.

- 48:23Speaker 1: I mean, there's just no possible way we could, you know,

- 49:41Speaker 2: in real life. I mean, I know all of this
- 49:43Speaker 2: is real life, but like when somebody that you know
- 49:46Speaker 2: or is telling you about something that happened to them,
- 49:48Speaker 2: it's very different.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Yeah it is, it's yeah for sure. And we're going
