- 0:07Drama, Darling Drama, Darling Drama, Darling Yello. Happy Thursday. Everybody,
- 0:23Are you ready for a doubleheader of a Top Chef finale and eighteen recap
- 0:30episodes of Love Island eighteen episodes? Another one just dropped. Oh shit,
- 0:36we'll be right back you guys. It's been a great show. See in
- 0:39about forty five minutes and we are back. Oh my gosh. Oh no,
- 0:46there's a Top Chef like kitchen, uh, last chance kitchen that just
- 0:51started. Hold on, be right back. Oh boy. Deanna Chang and
- 0:57Emily Teresis little darlings are here. Hi, guys, what's up? Hell?
- 1:00Hey, hey, I'm so okay. Yeah, this is gonna be
- 1:04nice. I mean, I really have a lot to say about Love Island,
- 1:08so I'm just gonna shelve that all right. I know we have tons
- 1:11to say, but because we have a lot to discuss, first of all,
- 1:18what we need to do is serve up a little dish. First.
- 1:21That serving dish, Oh so much dish. Okay, that was that was
- 1:27sexual. So first of all, it looks like Lindsey Hubbard is going to
- 1:34be auctioning off her wedding dresses for charity, which is very exciting. Yes,
- 1:42and uh, I mean good for hers is a great, great way
- 1:47to do it. You know, she's turning lemon into lemonade and and doing
- 1:51it all in the name of charity. You can find more about that.
- 1:53There's a page six article and Lindsay posted Also. I don't know if we'd
- 1:59mentioned this. I've been screenshotting this quite a bit, but and now it's
- 2:04heating up. It looks like there's gonna be a Bravo TV Experience coming to
- 2:07New York City. You can whoop it up for the Diamonds and Rose Experience
- 2:14in New York City. The tickets are now live, so head on over
- 2:19to well, you can check out at Bravo TV Experience on Instagram. I'm
- 2:27sure that the tickets are in the bio or if you go to Bravo TV,
- 2:30tickets are in bio, or go to BravoTV dot com and look for
- 2:35the Bravo TV Experience. These these things are popping up here and there and
- 2:39everywhere. Well just smart, have we? Yeah, have you heard about
- 2:44the Netflix announcement that was this past week about all, They're in Dallas and
- 2:50at the King of Prussiam Mall in Pennsylvania. Wow, shout out, didn't
- 2:53know that. Okay, well you've got locations, okay, yes, well
- 2:59yeah, I mean like they're kind of using like kind of the mall space
- 3:02which is up for grabs a lot of places in Santa Clarita. Come on
- 3:07over here because it's it's bleak bleak. Yeah. But they they're making these
- 3:13interactive experiences based on their you know, their movie hit but Stranger Things,
- 3:22you know, interactive things like that, And AMC is usually still the flagship
- 3:29brick and mortar at a lot of these malls, but they're not part of
- 3:31the Netflix thing. So now it's like, is AMC going to then also
- 3:37do interactive so are? So I guess what I'm saying is in a time
- 3:40when no one is sure what's going to happen in Los Angeles with the film
- 3:45and uh television world, it's looking kind of positive in terms of reinvention of
- 3:53that foot space. But without actors though, I mean, these are all
- 3:57experiences for the people, Yeah, but they've got to create content for the
- 4:01people to go experience. So that's oh, I see, So you're saying
- 4:05that they would hire the actors from like Stranger Things to no, no,
- 4:11no, I'm saying like maybe this will be something like if this is going
- 4:15to make money, that they will be like, we need more content to
- 4:18show in the space, like let's make more movies, let's make more television
- 4:21shows. I see you, well, I did see something like they're going
- 4:26to hire actors to be a part of these spaces. Obviously not you know,
- 4:30you're not going to get the people who originated the roles, but sure
- 4:34you can hire some non union performers too. Well. Who knows, Like
- 4:40maybe this is gen Z wants experiences, They want content to post to their
- 4:45social media, so they want these experiences, and so maybe we're going to
- 4:49back to a time when live performance, like back in the day where you
- 4:54know, the Wizard of Oz cast would tour with the movie. There was
- 4:57like that one thousand Beavers movie that just came mount and it like destroyed tour
- 5:01wise did awesome? Wait where are we right now? I've never heard of
- 5:06a thousand beavers? Am I on my own island? Is this a porno?
- 5:12No? No, no, no? Whose only fans is a thousand
- 5:15Beavers? Because that is going to make a lot of money. It sounds
- 5:18like so late nineties, early two thousands, But a bunch of dudes in
- 5:23Milwaukee or in the Midwest somewhere, maybe Minnesota made a silent movie dressed in
- 5:29all beaver costumes and it's like irony on irony, and it's like a full
- 5:34like a sixties ninety minute film. And then they, with their own money,
- 5:41took it out to theaters and like it just became this cult thing.
- 5:45I read about it in the New York Times, so I'm not alone on
- 5:47this, Like it's is this thing? Well? Is it the Are the
- 5:50beavers supposed to represent a female's anatomy? No, it's just dumb fun Okay,
- 5:58all right, good. I just want to make sure that that we're
- 6:00not you know, we're building dance. We're not building walls against feminism,
- 6:06you know and celebrating. No, no, no, But man, if
- 6:11it brings movies back, let's do it. Emily's into it. Well,
- 6:15what I'm hearing, and I could be wrong, could be mistaken. I
- 6:18don't know if I'm correct or not. But what I'm hearing, yes,
- 6:24is that the Darlings meaning your guest hosts at large, can be bought as
- 6:32a group to act out. We come as a team and we are available
- 6:39to act out some of these experience as a team, and the Devers be
- 6:44it whatever movie they need acted upon. We have a group rate, That's
- 6:49what I'm hearing. I'm hearing that too. And and if we were,
- 6:55we'll have to negotiate, We'll have to crunch the numbers. But I think
- 6:57that we would do very well. So Villa's back, Baby, Vonville,
- 7:02And here we are. Vonvilla's back. You heard it here first, yes,
- 7:08or last usually. But in other news, the Real Housewives of Salt
- 7:14Lake City star Lisa Barlow and Vida Tequila is being sued for four hundred and
- 7:18ten thousand dollars of unpaid loans alleged Please stop, no, I'm serious.
- 7:28Page six is reporting no, I'll tell you what happened. Happen. Well,
- 7:32here's what happened. It's getting strange, it's getting abstract. A bunch
- 7:41of beavers took over Vida in a live interactive performance space in Milwaukee. What
- 7:51okay? Page six is reporting that a former friend and business partner filed a
- 7:56lawsuit against Lisa Barlow and Vita Tequila on an alleged on alleged unpaid loans to
- 8:01a total of four to ten k In a statement released on page six,
- 8:05Lisa says Bart Carlson. I mean that is there's always a Bart Carlson folluling
- 8:11a lawsuit, right am? I right here to get on sue. It's
- 8:16by Bart Carlson. Bart Carlson was once a business partner and in a restaurant
- 8:20in Park City, And she said, and I thought a friend. I
- 8:24am deeply saddened that he has decided, nine years after our restaurant business ceased
- 8:30ceased, to claim that I owe him money. I mean nine years.
- 8:33That is, to be very clear, the claim that I owe Bart or
- 8:37his company money is untrue. I pay my bills and obligations and I always
- 8:43have. I look forward to the truth coming out, and I intend to
- 8:46hold Bart fully accountable for any damage this personal attack may cause me or my
- 8:54business. Okay, do you believe it or not? Do you believe Bart
- 9:01Carlson? Has I believe a number? Have you really big number? Yeah?
- 9:07So something has to be behind the number, right, Yeah, I
- 9:13think something has to be there. I do believe Lisa that she does,
- 9:18you know, take care for obligations. However, the fact that this is
- 9:22nine years later that sus to me. You know that means like you've waited
- 9:28this long and now you know that she's a celebrity, Salt Lake City is
- 9:33going to be coming out, you know, in the fall, you're you
- 9:37know, I don't know. This does seem sus on him. You know,
- 9:39there's a lot of thirsty people out there. However, four ten is
- 9:41a concerning number, and I say, well is it though? Because it's
- 9:45a not Usually it would be like a million dollars and then you would settle
- 9:50at four ten. So to start at four ten seems not that it's a
- 9:54ton of money. Don't get me wrong, but if your goal is for
- 9:58ten, you wouldn't start at four ten, do you know what I mean?
- 10:01Like, if you're trying to settle out, so like they'll probably settle.
- 10:05If this settles, it'll probably settle for like two hundred or one hundred.
- 10:09I would think. I guess the four to ten, which is kind
- 10:11of small, it's large, it's in the middle. That's what makes me
- 10:16think, because it's so specific, that there is something to it. Yeah,
- 10:18maybe that I think there's something to it. I mean four to ten
- 10:24for someone like Lisa, I think I don't know what her business does,
- 10:28to be fair, but even if it's a couple hundred thousand that she actually
- 10:35owes. That seems I mean to me, what do you think Lisa's worth?
- 10:41Do we have a sense of it? Three million? I mean that
- 10:48worth thing online is always so wrong, so I've no idea. Yeah,
- 10:50yeah, I asked my dad. He's constantly Hey, Siri, how much
- 10:56does Alisha Malone on Turner Classic Movies make a No, I'm not kidding you,
- 11:01oh my series, Oh my god, but he is. He's the
- 11:03king of asking everyone's net worth. You know who else does that on air
- 11:09is Howard Stern. It's always like, oh wow, that checks out because
- 11:13he's getting older, so so funny. All right, well that's that piece
- 11:20of news. You know, time will tell. What are you gonna do?
- 11:26Okay, so you guys, since we have a lot to discuss,
- 11:31let's get into it. Yeah. Oh but duh. Now, Top Chef
- 11:37finale happened last night, and here we are to discuss it. We are
- 11:43definitely not gonna be piecing through every single ingredient. It goes into each one
- 11:50of the amazing cooks, but we are going to mention it all. So
- 11:54if you haven't watched it, spoiler alert on Top Chef Season twenty one fin
- 12:01So we walk away and guess who has crowned the Top Chef Chef of season
- 12:07twenty one. It is Danny. Round of applause for Danny, round of
- 12:11applause. Yayay not surprised, say yes, don't watch. You guys are
- 12:16super fans. I haven't seen Top Chef and a few seasons, and then
- 12:22I caught the tail end of this, So I just want to apologize up
- 12:24front of the Darling zone. You don't need to, but I to have
- 12:28a fresh eye on it. It is because, like I, when they
- 12:33were standing there at the end and they were about to announce Top Chef,
- 12:37I at first, when they were cooking, cooking, I thought, oh,
- 12:39Danny's got this. But then when they were standing there at the end,
- 12:43I thought, I don't know what it's going to be. I don't
- 12:46know what it's going to be. Is that how you guys felt really ill?
- 12:52Dan? I thought it was going to go to Danny. You know,
- 12:56you have the name that kind of emerges floats up right before they say
- 13:01it, Yes, and the name Danny floated up. But I did see,
- 13:11you know, Savannah was a bit of a hard break because she's sort
- 13:16of well, we will get into it. I think I know what happened
- 13:20there. Well, on one word, also, like Michelle, like she
- 13:33leaned on her partner too much. As much as that feels like it could
- 13:37be a good thing, I think she lost her vision with Michelle. And
- 13:43yeah, yeah, total collaboration all of a sudden, especially on the heels
- 13:50of like Danny and Manny, and I just thought like they like went from
- 13:54them to Michelle, like telling Savannah she wanted I know, and she let
- 14:03her. She basically gave her. It was like fill in the blank,
- 14:07you know, and then Michelle would fill in the blank. I'm thinking about
- 14:09doing this. This is kind of like what I want to do plantains.
- 14:13I'm thinking about doing this. This is kind of what I want to do
- 14:16Fritter. You know. It was just it was too like you said,
- 14:20collaborative, and then in the end I think that she sort of lost herself.
- 14:24But also what a kiss of death. Kristen has worked at, as
- 14:30we all know, you know, one of the most premier restaurants for pasta.
- 14:33She knows pasta like the back of her hand. We all know that
- 14:37Savannah biffed it hard early on. Emily if he didn't know that Savannah made
- 14:41pasta and totally biffed it earlier in the Yeah, I did, so that
- 14:46was really like a rookie mistake. And I thought, Okay, obviously this
- 14:52is either gonna She's gonna redeem herself. But I thought, I have no
- 14:54hope in her redeeming yourself because pasta is not her thing, So don't do
- 14:58it again. To me, that was, like you said, Deanna a
- 15:01heartbreak that she decided to go that route. And you know, look,
- 15:07she was definitely feeling the excitement and feeling her confidence. But like anyone,
- 15:15you start to lose it and you start to like give way, and you're
- 15:18like, well, what do you think? What do you think? You
- 15:20had to be more like Danny? And I felt bad for Danny in the
- 15:22kitchen with Manny almost ruining his lob I mean pretty much ruining his lobster.
- 15:28He's lucky he even won because the inconsistency of the way that he cooked that
- 15:33lobster. Because the Manny was a disaster and Manny could barely keep up with
- 15:37him, and that was like very stressful. Manny was such a disappointment all
- 15:43season. Emily, like Manny checked out. He really checked out halfway through.
- 15:50I was like, he's done, he wants to go home, and
- 15:58something went left with Manny. So to call him up to the plate was
- 16:03such a surprising move. Who would you have called out? Who would you
- 16:07have instead picked instead of Manny Lara? Maybe she's solid as hell. What's
- 16:15the other Asian chef or the Asian chef? Right, Yeah, she was
- 16:22great, but she's tough in the no no, no, no. The
- 16:30gentleman who did not go we loved him. He came from Last Chance Kitchen.
- 16:33I'm spacing on his name right now. Yeah, they're all passed,
- 16:37so we can't think of him. But yeah, I know what we're talking
- 16:38about. He's amazing and like he's easy. Energy is easy. Like I
- 16:44think I would have chosen him or Laura Lara. So, but like for
- 16:48Manny to be even working at a half step or half fifty to still be
- 16:56in the top five, he must there must be some mayor to him,
- 17:00even though like to pick him, I'm saying, like if he if he's
- 17:03been checked out half the season and still was able to get to the top
- 17:07five, Yeah, I think by default of other people messing up pretty hard,
- 17:14well, that and I think, you know, they may they may
- 17:17have a connection as just you know, and good vibes only guys, you
- 17:22know. Yeah, I think Danny just needed execution, and so he maybe
- 17:26thought he could boss him around. He could just do what I say and
- 17:30he'll do it. But he couldn't execute even that, which was a real
- 17:33disappointment. Danny seemed to be on his own. The four course meal is
- 17:38always a delight to see. I love that they were cooking on the ship.
- 17:42I felt bad for Dan when he went to the market and he ordered
- 17:47the sardines and then the lady was cooking them. That was a strange moment.
- 17:52I mean, it was a language barrier, that's I mean, that
- 17:56was it. It just felt bad that that was all the sardines. It's
- 18:00tough. You wonder why. You wonder why why why why not more sardines?
- 18:07Yeah, yeah, to wonder it. And you also have to wonder,
- 18:11was that woman like sabotaging him because she knows Danny or Savannah. And
- 18:15I'm just throwing just throw it out there, you know, that is a
- 18:18different take. I like it. Listen, you know who got me freaking
- 18:23out was when they didn't tell them who the last guest chef was going to
- 18:29be for Judge's table, and when they when Emeral Lagassi came through that kitchen,
- 18:33I just about cried, Okay, how well do you think Emerald Lagassi
- 18:37is? Wow? Seven seventy six, seventy seventy four? What know you?
- 18:47No? I just love that you dialed it? Do you got there?
- 18:49You died? Like? You just have it? You have what you
- 18:52have. I don't like. I liked. I liked watching the journey of
- 18:56getting of getting there? Do you think danna I have the animl It's like,
- 19:02okay, great, so I'm gonna do. I'm gonna crunch some numbers
- 19:06and okay, there's no right, we're not doing prices right? All right,
- 19:10Well I want a gift if I win. I like, we've known
- 19:14him for over twenty times up, let's go, okay, times up.
- 19:18All right. I want to just say this. We knew him when he
- 19:22was probably in his fifties. It was twenty years ago, so seventies makes
- 19:25sense. But I'm gonna take I'm gonna say, uh, seventy nine.
- 19:32Ooh nice that he is sixty four and he is ten years younger than Bruce
- 19:42Springsteen. Of course, Bruce has gotta be brought into this. I'm like,
- 19:48I love. I thought he looked like he was eighty five. Well
- 19:52I was. I was about to go eighty. My dad looks younger than
- 19:56him, and my dad is eighty four. Damn, I'm all catching a
- 20:00stray. He listen, he cooks hard, he lives hard, you know,
- 20:06And that's what we saw. Look, I am shocked. Are you
- 20:08sure? Where did you get this number? Yeah? Yeah? Can we
- 20:11get a double on this? Can we get a Pricet check and aile Emerald?
- 20:15And then I was like, this can't be right, like somebody messed
- 20:18with his Wikipedia page. Yeah, then you didn't get it, Okay,
- 20:22I went to like three other sources. Wow, here's the problem. I
- 20:26see it, Emily. He looked older. Yeah, yeah, that's the
- 20:33problem. Do you know what I'm saying. So that's because I actually I
- 20:38didn't think he looked that old personally, I don't. I didn't think he
- 20:42looked late seventies. What I did think was his movements. That what got
- 20:48me. Yeah, Well, when he was in the kitchen, Yeah,
- 20:52it wasn't face, it was lethargy, you know. When he was sitting
- 20:57at the table, I was like, oh, I get it, okay,
- 21:03but when he was in the kitchen moving that weird like, yeah,
- 21:07well maybe he's got a condition. Well I looked at that too, and
- 21:12does not I mean high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heavy cream sauces.
- 21:22It's too much every cream sauces and too much sausage. I love sausage and
- 21:29sauces. Amy was like so touched and thrilled to see him, had tears
- 21:34in her eyes, and Emily's like, yeah, not so fast. We're
- 21:38gonna take him down a few pegs. Actually, we're going to question how
- 21:42many breaths he has left before we go forward. Person. No, we
- 21:52needed it. We needed it. We needed to get sorted on that because
- 21:56it was it was alarming. Yeah, but also I I do also want
- 22:00to mention that our precious Donald Sutherland actor has passed. Yes, I saw
- 22:08that, right, Yeah, we got yes, and he is. He
- 22:11was eighty eight, and I don't see too much of a difference between him
- 22:17and Emerald Agassi. Wow, I rest my case, your honor, the
- 22:22defense rest wait the prosecution, right, So we said it, but I
- 22:33am so. I was so thrilled to see Emeral Legassi, a hero of
- 22:36mine, just a legend. I just think that he did. He did
- 22:40revolutionize. He was the first, like one of the first TV personalities that
- 22:45kicked it up or not. You know, obviously we have Julia Childs,
- 22:48we have plenty of other people and chefs on television that came before him,
- 22:52but he really did. He infused personality into that genre. He was kind
- 22:57of like the first personality chef, and I mean just wonderful. Yeah,
- 23:03there's like Julia child and then like a ton of like is it child?
- 23:07Is it one child? Or is it child? Is it several childs?
- 23:10Yeah? Yeah, and then yeah yeah yeah, then him, I mean
- 23:18like in terms of like it is just one child. I was. I
- 23:22was right then after him came all this after the two of them, like
- 23:27he reinvigorated it, and then it was like Rachel right like everybody else yep.
- 23:33And he gave us a catch you know, a catchphrase, which is
- 23:37you know what everybody else did after we had our e v oh oh after
- 23:41and you know this that and the other. Yeah, delish, delish,
- 23:45Yeah, totally. Oh. I'm just I like to delight in that.
- 23:48I know. I slammed him pretty hard by the way he looks. I
- 23:52apologize. He slammed himself. At the end of the day, I did
- 23:55that. You were merely defending your choices when I introduced it. I still
- 24:02stand by the fact that he's seventy four, But that's fine, all right.
- 24:07When they all go to lunch with Tom and Kristen and Emeral was Gail
- 24:11there? I can't remember, Yeah, Ms Gail and and you know,
- 24:17it was great to hear a little bit of their backstory. Dan had tried
- 24:21out eleven times for Top Chef Wow, eleven times, so that was interesting.
- 24:27And then Savannah and Danny were like, I mean, I just applied
- 24:30and we got a It's just like, no, all right. Do you
- 24:36think there's anything to them because they were all like, oh, when's your
- 24:38restaurant opening, and He's like one year. And then I looked it up
- 24:41and they were filming this in twenty twenty three. They filmed this August through
- 24:45September in twenty twenty three. Do you think in their judgement and they know
- 24:49he's opening a restaurant, do you think there's anything any part of the decision
- 24:55that's like, well, he is opening a restaurant. This could really help
- 24:57him. Danny like, yeah, down to the final wire, Like,
- 25:00do you think that factors into their decision on choosing the winner? Oh?
- 25:07Choosing the winner? Oh, I think he meant just a contestant. No,
- 25:11no, no, no, I don't. I really don't. I
- 25:15think that they. I don't. I don't know. I don't think so.
- 25:18I think that they take the food very seriously. I think that they
- 25:23really I think they take in their body of work that they've done on Top
- 25:26Chef, But I don't necessarily think that they take in the idea of their
- 25:30careers outside of Top Chef. That's just my opinion. What do you think
- 25:34Dan I would agree with that. I think that he had more technique than
- 25:41everyone the finalists, and I think that that was in the dishes, and
- 25:48so I feel like his technique, his high level of cooking, is what
- 25:56pushed it over. Even if maybe Dan had better tasting food by a little
- 26:03bit, I don't know. It's always like on bake Off, I kind
- 26:07of feel bad for the people that are clearly the better bakers because once they
- 26:12set that bar high, they're basically then competing with themselves, and then when
- 26:17they don't hit that level, but it's still better than the other bakers,
- 26:21they get they can get cut, so I don't. I feel like Top
- 26:25Chef is better about like this is today and that doesn't matter. Yeah,
- 26:30it's really you know. Yeah, you're just as you're as good as your
- 26:33last dish, you know. Yeah, yeah, but I did really love
- 26:37I mean, when you see Danny's plating and the way that he constructs his
- 26:41food, it is so incredible and very unique. I mean that the first
- 26:45dish of the scallops, it needed salt obviously, but I mean it was
- 26:52just a jaw dropping thing to see. To have that little I don't,
- 26:56for lack of better words, shell cracker shell on the well yeah, the
- 27:00show cracker, you know, and like they said, he had a lot
- 27:03of complexity, So I mean I appreciated that the smoked muscle thing that did
- 27:10seem confusing, And they really did a good job of throwing us off because
- 27:14they're like, I don't know how to eat this. Oh I don't even
- 27:15know it's too Oh this is absolutely stunningly delicious. I was like, wait
- 27:19are you They're like this this is not cook for the sauces. Sauces are
- 27:25amazing, and I was like, you guys are throwing me off left and
- 27:27right, you know. But Savannah with her not a mufungo thing and her
- 27:33pasta, she was she was done. You know. The fritters seemed like
- 27:37they were good. The rest not great like her fritter, and then the
- 27:41dessert. They all killed it on the desserts, you know, but desserts
- 27:45looked incredible, like they were thrilling, but they did. The photography did
- 27:51an injustice to Danny because the close up slow mo rounded dessert, the little
- 27:59uh star was all melted down, melted, it was melted. Yeah,
- 28:02that was really rough to see. Uh. You know, Dan's tuna tartar
- 28:10seemed again like confusing because of the what was the fruit fruit? Grapefruit and
- 28:17the texture seems weird. But then they were like, oh, it's something's
- 28:18off, but it's incredible, you know. And then he killed it with
- 28:22that oxtail. I've always wanted to try oxtail. I've never had oxtail,
- 28:26but I've also like, it seems really good to me, and I want
- 28:29to like cook it. Have you guys ever had oxtail before? No?
- 28:33No? Wow, yeah, me either. So Danny's story about his food
- 28:37story was a very cliche thing that they all do, you know, when
- 28:41they tell their own food story. However, it's always going to be compelling
- 28:45because everyone's story is different. So I did love that. I love the
- 28:48ice cream thing in Brooklyn. And then then we got to that and Emerald
- 28:52really that touched him and Tom, you know, they both and I think
- 28:57to oh, I just got a chill to be able to execute an emotion,
- 29:06yeah, that the nostalgia, Yeah, you know that, I think
- 29:11tipped him over. And that's what food should do when you've gotten to a
- 29:17level of all of the technicalities are right and you know how to cook,
- 29:23but to be able to give people a feeling and it's like you're cooking with
- 29:30love, you know, it's like you're infusing emotion into the dish. And
- 29:33that's something that not everybody can do. So that's something that's like invaluable in
- 29:38my opinion. And obviously it's hard that, you know, and he was
- 29:42I think that he could bring those people into that experience and memory because it
- 29:52wasn't exact. It was a you know, an abstraction of the memory.
- 29:56It wasn't this is my grandma's dish. It was here's an experience, you
- 30:03know. So I think that really Pop popped him over. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:10I agree. Well, at the end of the day, it was
- 30:14great to see Kristen crown the new Top Chef through tears and join Pride herself,
- 30:19and to see her, you know, coming into her own as the
- 30:22as the host this season for the first time was really great to see and
- 30:26I just loved it. It was it was beautiful. It was a beautiful
- 30:30moment. Yeah. Sorry, No, I was just gonna say, they
- 30:34made they made. So Danny was on Watch What Happens as the bartender,
- 30:41and I thought, give him the second chair. I mean, he just
- 30:45won Top Chef. Let's not make him a friend of Watch What Happens Live,
- 30:48Like, let's put him in a chair. And I just thought,
- 30:52like, I mean, it's great that he was on the show, don't
- 30:55get me wrong, but I just thought, like, he just won one
- 30:57of your biggest shows. Yeah, award winning this. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:02I agree, Yeah, Okay. I was just gonna say I was very
- 31:07moved by Gail, who has been on the show for so long, the
- 31:15fact that she said to Kristen. Why am I emotional right now? I
- 31:19don't know, but what her she was so gracious, I know, it's
- 31:25ridiculous. She was so gracious to say you are our host, like you
- 31:29know what I mean, Like just like after that long on a show,
- 31:34to be gracious in that way of like I am elevating this neobie and thanking
- 31:44her for leading us. I was moved by that. Wow, you're blown.
- 31:48You're giving me the chills. It really was an incredible moment because Gail
- 31:52is a hard ass. Yeah, And when I watch Gail, I'm always
- 31:56like, I'm like respect because she doesn't apologize for anything. There's not I
- 32:04mean, ironically, I know she hosts a dessert show, but there's not
- 32:07a sweetness to her unless she wants to be sweet, like she doesn't.
- 32:13It's like you don't see that a lot of times, especially like with women
- 32:16in her position. So you're either a hard ass and that's it. And
- 32:22she there's like I love her personality for this, It's amazing. She is
- 32:29like a relatable human being for one a bad ass, you know, like
- 32:35and she is doing it all and you know, and same to say,
- 32:39like with Padma as well, all those years, you know, and she
- 32:44would get emotional every once in a while, but not that often. And
- 32:47I remember when she had to tell Kristen Kish to pack her knives and go,
- 32:52and she was she didn't want to do it so much, and her
- 32:55delivery, I will never forget it was the funniest way to deliver it because
- 32:59she was just like, I can't believe I have to do this because this
- 33:00doesn't seem right. She goes, Kristen, pack your knives and go,
- 33:06like she was asking a question like I can't believe do I really am I
- 33:09really saying this? Because it was like, you know, and sure enough
- 33:14she made her way back. But it just goes to show how much reverence
- 33:17that these people have for this show, and what an amazing group. I
- 33:22also loved that there's such respect in the kitchen for whomever the chef is that's
- 33:30calling the shots. For example, with Manny and Danny, when Danny was
- 33:36like, come on, let's go, let's go, let's double the time,
- 33:37and I want to do this. I want to do that, and
- 33:39Manny was like, yes, chef. And yet Manny he did say chef
- 33:44enough, yes, oh really, And I'm like, yeah, oh,
- 33:47I thought, oh, he didn't say it enough. Okay, I only
- 33:51heard yes chef okay. But I do love that they give each other that
- 33:54respect. It reminds me of military, you know, and it takes me
- 34:00back to when I was working in restaurants and these chefs were so they were
- 34:04sergeants, they were horribly mean. Their demeanor was terrible. You know,
- 34:10Deanna, we talked about the chefs that we've worked with before, Emily,
- 34:14have you ever worked in the restaurant business? I have, but not for
- 34:17I worked guys just straight, you know, like on the line, like
- 34:22cook prep, cook stuff. Yeah. Like, oh, okay, so
- 34:23you were on the other side bars. Oh, like I worked at bars.
- 34:29She worked at her. Yeah, you're working at jacks. Like it's
- 34:32all like line cooking, okay, but not a chef. It's not like
- 34:37this, okay. But still in the kitchen it can be incredibly heated and
- 34:43and so in many ways, I think that even though we're seeing the best
- 34:45sides of all these chefs, they probably on some level or monsters in the
- 34:49kitchen. You know, let's be honest. That being said, Uh,
- 34:53they can be a monster, but they can also give due respect, and
- 34:57I appreciate that aspect of it. I was definitely aroused by Danny's handle of
- 35:02the kitchen and him bossing around and like being as Yeah, I loved it.
- 35:08I was yes, I mean I loved don't want to be on the
- 35:12other end of it, but I was like, he is fully executing and
- 35:19in control. Deanna was roused. All right, well, I think wed
- 35:23it on that. I mean, I like someone taking control and not being
- 35:27a complete jerk, which was nice. So he j horn for that top
- 35:30chef, and it was interesting to hear Danny's talking about the chef that he
- 35:37when he went to go interview with this place. He said, here are
- 35:39some scallops, make make me something, And now he's opening a restaurant with
- 35:44that person, which was cool. Oh yeah, yeah, all right,
- 35:50well I think it's time to move on. Well, good thing that this

- 40:10I'm putting on my Love Island microphone. Dad, you're not watching us.
- 40:21She just puts something around her neck. It's like the necklace. Mic.
- 40:24Yeah, that is so unbelievable. I will put truly in the You know,
- 40:30Amy, you should post how to make your own Love Island mic Oh
- 40:32my god. It's a neck lamp and then you just like, I'll turn
- 40:38it off, and then you just tie a sock to the back, So
- 40:43I'm wearing a neck lamp backwards okay, and then a sky okay, Okay.
- 40:51You know what. Welcome to Love Island. We have first contested Emily
- 40:54Deesa's and she's wearing a mic. Yeah, let me make sure I don't
- 41:00want to burn out my neck lamp. Okay, yeah, I know how
- 41:02important that is to you. And they are truly so cumbersome and literally that
- 41:07size, like you're not even exaggerating they are that size. Yes, oh
- 41:12I know, and they always throw me off because I'm always what is to
- 41:21wear them? It's something else. I was watching and I was like,
- 41:22what is did they all just go to like a story? These rope necklaces?
- 41:27You know? They are. The technology that they have with this audio
- 41:31is really next level. The audio is so incredible because they're knocking them around,
- 41:38they're playing with them, they're smashing in them, they're practically banging,
- 41:44they're making out and you can hear and you can hear in the back row
- 41:47when someone's like, say, what do you want to say? True?
- 41:52Yeah, they're mouthing the words and if they're picking it up like it's The
- 41:55technology is unreal. So I'm extremely impressed with this. But thank you for
- 42:02representing the audio on Love Island because it's I mean, I should have brought
- 42:12a big old like metal water bottle and taped my acrylics to the side,
- 42:15because that's the other thing that I'm like they all have by the mic,
- 42:20like, but they all have these like mouth fetishes where they have to be
- 42:25chewing on these bottles and then it's yes, really it's like a lot about
- 42:30it. Yeah, it's like a lot. I'm like, do all this
- 42:32generation need to be you know, sucking on something at all times or chewing
- 42:37on something or saying the word like that you know what words hitting my ear?
- 42:46That new hitting it a little new is that they all say, you
- 42:52know, you'd say please, please say something to me one of you.
- 42:54Are you going to go to the Netflix Experience? Actually? Actually yeah,
- 43:06yeah, yeah, definitely. You know there's so much actually, there's so
- 43:09much, so many words and nothing really said. You know, like if
- 43:15we like, like, okay, why don't we just do a role play.
- 43:19It's us three girls, you know, we're talking about the guys.
- 43:22All right, you think you and Rob are going to go to the Netflix
- 43:27Experience? Like like that was you didn't say any like so please get into
- 43:32character? Oh sorry, sorry, all right? Take two? Geez all
- 43:37right, Like do you think that you no like like like like yeah,
- 43:45like the Netflix experience, like no, like yeah, like actually yeah,
- 43:52like no because like I just like, you know, and he's yeah,
- 43:57putting that up and I'm like, oh, you know and he's like yes,
- 44:01right, no, no, no, but yes, that's like yeah,
- 44:05that's what I'm saying because I'm coming in with like you know, I'm
- 44:09like here, you know, he's there, and we're all like yeah,
- 44:15you know, yeah, so I don't know like if he so yeah,
- 44:19like yeah, I'm gonna definitely go like I don't know, no, same
- 44:23same, same, same yeah, no, but yeah they're saying no and
- 44:29yeah, like they mean the same things. Right. So we are reporting
- 44:34live from soul Ties right now. Emily, Deanna and I are insulties,
- 44:38which you know, really ripped up our thread last night. That killed me
- 44:43when Emily was like I didn't know you could sleep in soul Ties killed me.
- 44:51Why are they all out there fucking insult tizes. I don't know,
- 44:53it's a great question. And are because I don't think anyone's banging right now.
- 45:00I think they've been told they can't bang. Yet I feel that I
- 45:05feel there's something because as out there as they are, they nobody has really
- 45:14gotten too busy, and I feel like that feels like a directive. I
- 45:19could be wrong. I think you would be right, that would be right.
- 45:22I mean, but you would think that like you could earn soul ties,
- 45:28like it seems like a reward. Did not have to sleep in that
- 45:30room with everybody. No, they could just go do it at any time.
- 45:36M hmm. I mean Rob is like it sounds like he needs a
- 45:39night alone to ejaculate. Wow, it was they all do lingerie party.
- 45:50I needed that as well. I watched one of the love you know what.
- 45:54The lingerie party was hot. It was there was no to exble.
- 46:00Thing was like I wanted to be on either side. I was like,
- 46:04I will be the person coming in and I will be gladly the person sitting
- 46:07down receiving. Yeah, it was how do you go like you don't wear
- 46:14clothes all day? So what I guess what I thought was like, why
- 46:16is this any different from like the string bikinis and the lace like lace and
- 46:24the blindfolds and the handcuffs and the bombshells that came in. I mean,
- 46:30here's the thing. Can we just start by saying I started watching the show
- 46:34and I am like, I will not be able to get through this.
- 46:37Then these things, these episodes started dropping like bombs in World War two.
- 46:42Sorry, and then I'm like, I can't do this. I can't keep
- 46:46up with this. Is this like a big Brother thing. I cannot get
- 46:50with this. There is a lot of resistance. Oh and I the second
- 46:53that Deanna said, just heads up, there is another episode to me.
- 46:59Last week another episode dropped and I was like, oh, so there's two.
- 47:02So I was like, okay, I'll hurry up, no problem.
- 47:05Then as the week went on, Deanna saying, like, f yi,
- 47:08I think another one did Emily's Like, Emily called me and I thought she's
- 47:14gonna bail out. And I don't blame her, you know, because we
- 47:16I logged on last night or during the day and I saw episode eight and
- 47:22I had only been up to two and I had a templins there the fremlins.
- 47:31They're feeding those bikinis. Yeah, yeah, I don't know if they're
- 47:36trying to burn them off. I don't know what's happening. Are they currently
- 47:38filming, like I don't know. It's so hard to say, but they
- 47:43are. It's definitely more Love Island than we bargained for most definitely true and
- 47:49had I had never seen it. Last night on the text thread when we
- 47:53were all watching episode eight preach it, and then when we found out there
- 47:58wouldn't be an episode nine. Men, we were all like, one by
- 48:00one, one by one, Oh, I wonder what happens. We were
- 48:06by by episode seven it was I was like this is good. Eight,
- 48:13eight was phenomenal. Eight was sick, and I was like, I can't
- 48:19live without this now. How did that happen? I've never been turned around
- 48:22so fast? Yeah, it was probably yes, you could. We could
- 48:27post screenies from our thread because there was a lot of resentment. I felt
- 48:34fast the volume of Love Island. I felt personally responsible that I was gonna
- 48:40have to drag you both through this, and I thought, I'm gonna have
- 48:44to cut and run with these ladies. I don't I don't think I can
- 48:45do this to them. Sorry, Deanna, gone, No, I mean
- 48:49listen, I sort of have been watching it more. I didn't power watch
- 48:57like you guys had to do yesterday. I had been sort of letting them
- 49:02show up and watching them while I'm cooking or cleaning, you know what I
- 49:07mean, like multitasking with them. So I didn't have that same crush of
- 49:13you know, volume to contend with. But yeah, I thought that we
- 49:19had. I thought, yes, I saw a new episode drops Thursday,
- 49:22and I was confused as to which day I was in, and I thought
- 49:25we had one more coming yesterday as well. You should have because we all
- 49:30thought, I mean, we didn't know what day it was. We're like,
- 49:32it's one dropping now, you know as we speak. So I'm glad
- 49:37we got to it, you know, I'm glad we got through it,
- 49:38and that there was a prize at the end of this run. How many
- 49:44fucking episodes do you think there's going to be? I don't really know,
- 49:49but I'm gonna assume forty at this pace. I think you're actually right because
- 49:54I did watch Love Island UK during the pandemic and it will but like not
- 50:00forty but kind of forty, and it was it was a journey. I
- 50:07think I watched the first two seasons and I was just sick from it,
- 50:13do you know what I mean? Like I had odd on it and I
- 50:15never touched another one because I just overdid it in a short period of time.
- 50:22But I do recall there being quite a few episodes. Yeah, you're
- 50:25right. I mean, it looks like twenty. It looks like it.
- 50:30People are saying thirty but a potential of thirty seven. Oh wow. Okay,
- 50:36we have to kind of like, yeah, consider this and how we're
- 50:42going to approach it, you know what I mean? Maybe, yeah,
- 50:45we'll figure that out in the thread after this. But we're not even recapping
- 50:52were an episode there are Okay, well, let's let's just get to it.
- 51:00First of all, I want to say that the avocado Toast situation is
- 51:06intense. You know, that's all liv is serving the purpose of a host
- 51:13on this show because they're doing this the arianic like I'm not going to say
- 51:16it, dipping in and out, but that's like she's barely on. Yeah,
- 51:22that's how it goes. Yeah, yeah, I know, I but
- 51:25I like, I look in she could do more. I could handle more.
- 51:30Absolutely, liv is like guiding the show. She's sitting down with people,
- 51:35She's asking the right questions in the middle. I know we're not there
- 51:40yet, but talk about we can go anywhere we want. Great when she
- 51:45was when they were sitting on that those couches at the very end, when
- 51:52our boy marched over to the new Bombshell and she goes like this there should
- 52:00like to Leah to like tell him off, say what you got to say,
- 52:07say it, do it, do it. I was like, I'll
- 52:10never recover from that, and I will be doing that for someone at some
- 52:15point, you know, doesn't go And I'm so glad that Leah was like
- 52:22fuck you and what a jerk. Rob is like I can't hear you,
- 52:28and thank you because here it comes again, fuck you. He's shorts and
- 52:37Sandy's man. He is like, let me make her the bad guy even
- 52:42though she's done nothing, and then then like I'll have a reason and then
- 52:47yeah, you're so cool because she's like stunned, hurt like that hurt it.
- 52:52Yeah it did it, really did. That was nuts to hear him
- 52:58gaslight her threw out the episode was I was spiraling for her because she kept
- 53:06I mean, there was so much Leah crying and the expressions she was making
- 53:14that it was like I felt so bad for her that she had to ride
- 53:16out this entire episode as just saying the same thing over and over like am
- 53:22I crazy? Like what's happening? I don't know what's going on and apologizing
- 53:25to him, Yeah, I just feel you wet for her. The performance
- 53:32he put on, oh my god, was honestly oscar worthy. Like the
- 53:39amount of tricks that he pulled out of a hat to have her on her
- 53:44back heels, it was. It was like a cautionary tale to all women,
- 53:50you know. Yeah, because he wanted to be with the other girl,
- 53:53period dot. So he's hitting her every which way and including tears to
- 54:01spin her around, you know, to the point where she is then apologizing
- 54:07to him. It was epic. Well, it was definitely a lesson in
- 54:12some watching somebody gas like another person right in front of your very eyes.
- 54:17That crying was so bad, I mean it really was. It was like
- 54:22Sandobalah on some level. And then him walking away and like putting his head
- 54:28in his hands and all this stuff. I just thought, this guy,
- 54:30he definitely has taken some you know, local acting workshops that didn't quite get
- 54:37him anywhere. He got his feet wet, But then to have him just
- 54:43just jump straight as an arrow into the water was next level bizarre. He'd
- 54:53be good on traders, that's the kind of shit I'm talking about. Traders.
- 54:57You need him hiding, yeah, like hiding under the pool deck.
- 55:01And I'm like saying to myself. What do you expect to hear she's saying,
- 55:05she's already said this to your face. She's just gonna say it again
- 55:07to this person, like what you just said? Nothing. I think he
- 55:13was really hoping for her to be a shithead. Yeah, a shy.
- 55:19Yeah, he was like, I hope she's a shithead. That's what he
- 55:22said to himself. Jump in the pool, and I hope that she's a
- 55:23shithead. Now do you guys think I didn't. I think he jumped in
- 55:30the pool and tucked under the tucked himself under the deck. I mean,
- 55:37is that what we're saying, Yes, yeah, that's what we're That's what
- 55:40we saw. That's what we saw. I think the initial power, you
- 55:45know pinas and now drop into the pool was was just to get away,
- 55:52like get away, it was, you know, he was too dry.
- 55:57Two different pool drops for different motivations, Right, did he drop twice?
- 56:04I don't know. I thought that's what you're saying. No. I thought
- 56:07he his initial drop was out of just like I don't know what to do
- 56:10with my body, right, and I have to drop in. I have
- 56:14to drop in, you know, yes, yes, And then the talk
- 56:17under was still motivated by. I want to get away from the cameras and
- 56:23I need to just not an look at me. I don't know what to
- 56:30do. Jerk off, obviously, release myself in a comfortable area. How
- 56:36do those guys make it? Go ahead? Yeah, finish what you're saying.
- 56:38No, But then I think he was heard the talk. I was
- 56:40like, well, I can't go anywhere now. I guess I'll you're hustle
- 56:44as much as I can. But I don't think he was motivated to listen.
- 56:49It's also hard to during that conversation to like like like a yeah,
- 56:58the thing coming out. I don't know how those I don't know how those
- 57:02guys recovered from having those two bombshells come in straddle them and make out with
- 57:08them. How are they not showing their their boners? I think I think
- 57:15the news spot's gonna be under that doc. You're just gonna see all the
- 57:19guys when alone under the dock and coming back up. They're like, Crop's
- 57:23gonna tip them off. And then productions gonna be like, you cannot go
- 57:28under the dock, can cut your golf under the dock. How many times
- 57:30you have to tell you go to good grades only it's your golf there,
- 57:36good vibes. Homies only has taken Fine, go over to I'm Living my
- 57:40Best Life. That's taken to Fine, go over to Let's Go. I
- 57:50love the music. They have one hell of a playlist and you know,
- 57:52you can scan their QR code and it pops up on Spotify and they are
- 57:57all bangers. Wow. They're all just slow versions of two thousands pop songs,
- 58:04right yeah, yeah, pretty much a lot of Bruno Mars, you
- 58:07know. But I just I love when it's like Rob is splitting away from
- 58:12Leah of course because he was just one of his fantasies just came true.
- 58:16And of course they don't have sexual chemistry anymore because some stranger bombshell came and
- 58:22straddled him and made out with him, and now he wants that. You
- 58:24can't top that. Leah had no chance in hell after that. Yeah,
- 58:30And this show is it's cool the way it's set up, because cool,
- 58:35you will cool. It's cool uncool, yeah, because they you have to
- 58:44stay with somebody even if you're half in, because you don't want to cut
- 58:47a single, right, So, and we're seeing that. Yeah, and
- 58:53now, and like I do think Rob was able to talk himself. I
- 58:57think he was into Leah. I just think Ron is just a little like
- 59:02Nat. He'll go wherever, like he just is onto the next stake.
- 59:06He's a snake, snake in the grass. I really like because we Amy
- 59:12and I loved him deeply. Yeah, so this is a blow. But
- 59:17it's got that Schwortz thing to him that makes him like kind of dumb and
- 59:22funny and weird ways, like he doesn't mind. He's hot, kind of
- 59:24being the yeah butt of the joke. And he's good looking. He's very
- 59:29good looking. Yeah, he's very cute. And they're also look I did
- 59:34think he had because when liv came in and I don't know if you saw
- 59:37that, Emily, but you know he was not interested at all. Yeah
- 59:44yeah, yeah, okay. And and so to see him flip over with
- 59:51the new bombshell and we saw it, listen, would any of us survive
- 59:57that? And you know no, probably not. Like when his blindfoldly,
- 1:00:01he was like, the look he gave her was just like what it's like
- 1:00:06forgetta call happened? Yeah yeah, So but his his testing out of women
- 1:00:14to see if they are down for his stuff, which is like bugs and
- 1:00:21outdoors annoying. I'm so annoyed by that to see if they pass his bug
- 1:00:27test or his like that. That to me, I can't hold it against
- 1:00:34him though, because that is the most important thing in his life. So
- 1:00:37how would someone But if they were afraid, it wouldn't matter, because he
- 1:00:42would he would just in his mind be like I'll protect you. We're gonna
- 1:00:45get you there. It doesn't matter. It's just him like no and his
- 1:00:50ass. I gonna have to agree to disagree. I mean, I look,
- 1:00:53if that's the most important thing to you, you know, much like
- 1:00:58Sarah on Dubai, he loves aliens, she wants to talk about it twenty
- 1:01:01four to seven. She does need to find someone who will endure that.
- 1:01:07And so I'm gonna have to put that she needs to find a fucking person
- 1:01:12that is good to her son. Yeah no, that's true, right,
- 1:01:15But she hasn't. She's not going to prioritize that aliens before that. But
- 1:01:20I would say, but Rob, if that girl knew Bombshell was like,
- 1:01:23oh my god, a spider, but was like he would have been like,
- 1:01:30I'll be the savior here, like what I'm gonna get you? He
- 1:01:32was already so far down the road with her. It wasn't going to matter.
- 1:01:37He was going to get her to like spiders. He had a bud
- 1:01:39on his face. That doesn't bother me. Rob's gonna stay with me because
- 1:01:46I'm not bothered by it. But no, go to good and bothered me
- 1:01:51and it didn't bother Leah and he left Leah. So yeah, I just
- 1:01:55wasn't. I just found what I might have been charmed by an episode ago,
- 1:02:00with him testing those things out, I'm no longer charmed by under you
- 1:02:06know, I charmed all. That's all. Okay, I understand I respect
- 1:02:09him doing I don't respect him at all. I understand why he's doing it,
- 1:02:14but I am not charmed now with do you like like I don't like
- 1:02:21or from women, and that's what he's giving them. He's finding out if
- 1:02:24he's testing them to see if they can align with his country ways, and
- 1:02:31that bugs me. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm gonna like if I'm on
- 1:02:35a date and if I don't throw out, if I'm not like past the
- 1:02:39bread Mother, you know, at some point, if I don't show them
- 1:02:44that I'm fucking crazy and like I do voices like straight away and they're not
- 1:02:49somehow like, okay with that, I better go and they better go because
- 1:02:53it's gonna be terrifying if you stay. I can't just throw out that I
- 1:02:58do like impressions on the third date. That's like saying you've got two kids,
- 1:03:01because that's weird. You know, I'm not saying it's weird in the
- 1:03:05sense that I'm a weird person. I'm just saying, you know, not
- 1:03:07everybody's gonna want to be with someone who does voices, So I can't just
- 1:03:12all of a sudden be like, you know, ooh, it's beautiful,
- 1:03:15beautiful, that's my Martha Steward anyway, you know what I mean, Like,
- 1:03:17it's gonna be weird, so kind through it, okay, because you're
- 1:03:22just that's revealing yourself. Yeah, he's testing and two different things, and
- 1:03:30the results for him don't really matter because he's going to fuck the bombshell,
- 1:03:37right, you know Leah with her like everything that she was doing as a
- 1:03:43result of his gains completely understood. Then he would go back and tell Andrea
- 1:03:47what she's doing, and of course she's gonna be like, oh right,
- 1:03:52yeah, no, that's not cool. And of course she's gonna look like
- 1:03:54a superstar because she's not the one who's hurt, and she's on the other
- 1:03:58side of it, so he's the thinking the world of her, Like,
- 1:04:00Oh, they're so compatible because she understands the situation. I was like,
- 1:04:03you're such an idiot. I know. It felt like middle school or something.
- 1:04:09It just was so stunted. Yeah, what ave I guess. I
- 1:04:15mean that's why they're doing Love Island, so I mean they have to be
- 1:04:18pretty one dimensional in that way. I guess that's probably a big plus.
- 1:04:23The comparisons that these guys are making towards the women right now is making me
- 1:04:27infuriated. And I can't wait until we get some bombshell guys coming in and
- 1:04:31scooping up these ladies away from these douchebags so that we kind of get I
- 1:04:40think it's fair game. I think it's I think the gals are leaning in
- 1:04:43kind of vapidly with the dudes initially, don't you well, Like Aarin was
- 1:04:49saying to Kayler, they have a pretty good thing going on. I think
- 1:04:53they're playing it really well, Kayler and Aaron. They're both playing the game
- 1:04:58of Love Island while still kind of sticking together. They're having their little fights,
- 1:05:02but they're also you know, stepping out and experimenting in other areas and
- 1:05:08somehow keeping their heads about them and still feeling feelings for each other. And
- 1:05:13but when Aaron said something like, well, there's some things that she does
- 1:05:15better than you, that she's better at, you know, that irritated me.
- 1:05:19And Rob kind of said the same things to Leah, which was annoying.
- 1:05:23Oh I see what you're saying. Yeah, I thought you meant like
- 1:05:27making kind of like superficial comments in terms of like looks or whatever, just
- 1:05:32to each to like the girl huddle and the guy huddle. Oh yeah,
- 1:05:36kind it's fair, that's fair. No, But what you're saying, yeah,
- 1:05:40that when Aaron said that, I was kind of disappointed because I really
- 1:05:45like Aaron from from being on Traders, and he's an emotional he's very emotional.
- 1:05:54Like he had to like leave the trader's table and run to what we
- 1:05:58found is backstage the Traders to get a shit together. And then a psychologist
- 1:06:02came over and it was like day two because he just hated the heat on
- 1:06:08him and he was like like weeping. But then as it goes on,
- 1:06:13you see he's like so like he's so affectionate with both men and women contestants
- 1:06:19in terms of just like supportive and hugging and like rubbing their like facts.
- 1:06:24Yeah, the guys I think are pretty sweet overall. I yeah, all
- 1:06:29of them are pretty sweet overall. Actually, absolutely, they just really want
- 1:06:32to work out. They just want to be trainers and you know, get
- 1:06:36with someone who's in medical and sales, right, I mean that's all that
- 1:06:40we have there on this island. They're all in the perfect place. They're
- 1:06:44all like the same person, and it's like watching a different species in my
- 1:06:49opinion, the way that they just romp around with their asses out. I'm
- 1:06:54like, gosh, good for you, you know, like I can't even
- 1:06:57imagine. And I'm thinking logistics. I'm thinking, is anyone on their period?
- 1:07:01Also, like oh, I you know, sweat in between the crotch,
- 1:07:05you know, they're sitting on these bean bags. Like what kind of
- 1:07:09marks are we making? You know, like just so much exposed. Do
- 1:07:14you think that they get airbrushed, right, because they they are like not
- 1:07:19a mark, like sometimes you see it by the end of the day wearing
- 1:07:23off, but something like at the beginning of the day, there's not one
- 1:07:25flaw on their skin. And I'm like, no, well they would that
- 1:07:29would be like a do they have an airbrusher there? Because that would just
- 1:07:31be like really smart. They have to, because like even the guys when
- 1:07:35they were working out, I could see part like Connor had a lot of
- 1:07:41tan up here but not on his lower abs, almost like the sweat was
- 1:07:45taking it off. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. And who is not a
- 1:07:48trainer? I think they're all trainers pretty much all trainers. Yeah yeah,
- 1:07:54I mean I do want to say, and I know we talked about it
- 1:07:57last time, but Hannah fout makeup is gorgeous. Oh yes, I love
- 1:08:02bedtime because they all have their makeup and their glasses and they're so cute,
- 1:08:09so cute. The the id she watches this back and and and someone like
- 1:08:15her who has that much makeup on you would think would wear some to bed
- 1:08:23because she's completely neurotic, right, I don't think she is. So I'm
- 1:08:29just like, it's rid of that rouge. The rouge. She has white
- 1:08:34here, dark here, dark like it is psycho and I want her to
- 1:08:43watch this show and just be like, oh I do. And then she's
- 1:08:45taking out so much hair. It's just so much artifice. It is making
- 1:08:51me crazy, and she looks cute as a freaking button without all of it
- 1:08:58they have. I realized, like makeup area is all sponsored products, and
- 1:09:02I feel like maybe she thinks she needs to use all of them. And
- 1:09:06I got the same feeling like when like back on Real Housewives of Dallas with
- 1:09:12Leanne Lockinch Yes colors in the Elf color palette eye shallows, I remember that
- 1:09:18Yes. I got the same vibe from her, and it's like, you
- 1:09:21don't have to use it all. It's just here, but you don't have
- 1:09:25to. I would put money down that Hannah is rocking that look, oh
- 1:09:31prior to the season. Every day of her life, with or without branded
- 1:09:35colors at the ready, Hannah makes you laugh so hard. She is the
- 1:09:43character that we need on this show. The amount of f bombs that she,
- 1:09:46you know, brings to the table and everybody swears like a just yeah,
- 1:09:51it's amazing when they're first meeting each other, like get the fuck out,
- 1:09:55no fucking way, fuck, and it's like wild to see it.
- 1:09:59I'm like, oh my, and I'm no prude to you know, you
- 1:10:02know, but it's a little elaborate, you know, it's too much swearing
- 1:10:06kids, But I did love that. She was like, I think it
- 1:10:10is I'm a bad bitch like you are a bad bitch. Like I just
- 1:10:14love her and she's so funny. I also want to say that Kendall seems
- 1:10:18like a really he's warmed up to me. He seems like he's there for
- 1:10:20a lot of people. I like him. Yeah, I like Kendall.
- 1:10:25I do to you. And the fact that he would like continue making out
- 1:10:29with Hannah even though he was like fully made up afterwards. I thought that
- 1:10:33was kind of full of him because I would have been like most skies hate
- 1:10:38that, but he was like, yeah, whatever, I don't care.
- 1:10:41Before we talk about those those dates that the Bombshells took their picks on,
- 1:10:45I want to mention two things to my favorite part. Well. One,
- 1:10:49Janey trying to distract Connor when he was talking to Andrea. She was doing
- 1:10:56those stretches with like her booty in the air. Was loved, hilarious and
- 1:11:00brilliant on all facets. Absolutely love that. And then when they're sleeping together,
- 1:11:08like they don't know each other from anything and they have to get in
- 1:11:11this bed. I could never do this show because I would full on have
- 1:11:16a night terror and I would because I have night terrors. Yeah, I
- 1:11:21get it, And I don't know how no one is like having those in
- 1:11:27this whole group or you know, I don't know how that's not happening.
- 1:11:30Gnoring, just snoring, farting. I would be worried, like because I've
- 1:11:35woken myself up in the middle of the night with a nice too, Like
- 1:11:39I'm just like what And I get embarrassed because I like Brett and I we
- 1:11:42just we don't really we don't rip them around each other, Like we just
- 1:11:44don't do that, you know. We we don't talk toilet talk to each
- 1:11:47other. We just don't do that. So literally in the middle of the
- 1:11:51night, like I've woken myself up with it, and I'm like, oh
- 1:11:55dear, you know, and I'm like, I probably and like he'll sometimes
- 1:11:59he was like he's like shifted in his sleep, and I'm like, I
- 1:12:00woke them up by farting, like I would be I would die. I
- 1:12:05would absolutely die. How are these people doing this? Like how are they
- 1:12:10doing it? I don't know. I mean I think that uh that,
- 1:12:16I mean, we also don't they're not miked at night right there they're in
- 1:12:24but it's still like I mean, how many people the odds of like somebody
- 1:12:29doing something embarrassing in the night, there's how many people in that room somebody
- 1:12:32is going to do. Like the odds are in the favor of somebody's going
- 1:12:36to be like, oh my god. Yeah, the flaming allowing them to
- 1:12:45not have those things put on camera, which is they're not cutting them into
- 1:12:49the show, which thank you, you know, but even just for safe
- 1:12:56like the six ake. I what if he had night DearS with that little
- 1:13:00gown in the bed, like that would be bad. It would be so
- 1:13:03bad. Maybe they maybe they're given a sleep test before this. That would
- 1:13:08be interesting if that's part of the regiment, because I would like Brad has
- 1:13:12told me that I've woken up and just been like get out, oh god,
- 1:13:15oh good, and he's like you're okay, and I look at him
- 1:13:19like insane and then I just laid my head back down. No, I'm
- 1:13:26told I am. It does not happen every night. It may happen like
- 1:13:31once a month, but it's not fun. I'm actually getting a sleep test,
- 1:13:35I asked my doctor. I was like, I need a sleep test
- 1:13:39because I'm concerned for my health and well being and because I don't know if
- 1:13:43like I have woken up in the night and like punched a hole in the
- 1:13:45wall. Wow, I haven't gotten physical, but I think I honestly think
- 1:13:54I've got what is it called sleep apnea. I think I'm not breathing and
- 1:13:58I'm gasping for air and that's what's causing my night terror. That's what I
- 1:14:01think. But well, anyway, we we need to move forward because you
- 1:14:05guys, how are you doing on time? We need to wrap soon?
- 1:14:08How you doing to go down? Okay? Have you seen the chats?
- 1:14:13I have a call at noon, but oh shit, Okay, I am
- 1:14:16going to try and I will go on mute and say, can you call
- 1:14:20me back in fifteen minutes when No, we can wrap this up right now,
- 1:14:25we can wrap this up. No, we're done, honestly, we're
- 1:14:27done. Okay. The it's just that I just want to say that we
- 1:14:30love the end these dates on the beach. You know, I did appreciate
- 1:14:34that Rob when he kissed Andrea that he was like, let me tell her,
- 1:14:39but then went on to like tell everybody in the villa, which was
- 1:14:42annoying, and it seems and she didn't let him tell her like she told
- 1:14:46him. She told Leah right and said, I won't do anything. I
- 1:14:51will say something to you first, which he did not, which he did
- 1:14:55not do. I was like, I was so impressed that he started to
- 1:14:59say that, and then he fucked and he's the villain. I was so
- 1:15:01happy that Cordell got a run with Nicole, delighted about that. And really,
- 1:15:08I've seen Andrea and Andrea, Andrea and Kendall really getting along, and
- 1:15:15I love that they seem like they're a good pair. Yeah. I agree.
