- 0:48Speaker 1: He's based on apartment where it has just been a
- 0:54Speaker 1: chore around here and everywhere, working people in hospitals. All right,
- 1:05Speaker 1: So yeah, apologies, We're we're gonna be back. We're back,
- 1:11Speaker 1: We're back, We're back.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Welcome, Welcome, welcome, Thanks late, thank.
- 1:16Speaker 1: You for joining us. Nobody's here.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It's just it's just us. We're all alone. It feels
- 1:22Speaker 2: like the apocalypse before the dawn. Well some is that
- 1:28Speaker 2: before then? I don't know, it would be the dawn after,
- 1:32Speaker 2: you know, I'm thinking tomorrow's like the dawn before the
- 1:36Speaker 2: the future. People, thanks for joining us for this episode
- 1:41Speaker 2: of sports allegedly on this January twenty fifth, twenty twenty five.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And we've got not a lot of talk about college.
- 1:49Speaker 2: We could talk for three hours. We've had so much
- 1:51Speaker 2: stuff we haven't got to talk about. But we are gonna.
- 1:54Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna highlight a little bit on the
- 1:56Speaker 2: college national Championship. We'll talk a little bit about that,
- 1:59Speaker 2: and some coaching rivers and some things we've we've seen,
- 2:03Speaker 2: we've read, what we anticipate, but we're gonna start with
- 2:06Speaker 2: the obvious. It's Saturday night right now, so we're talking
- 2:09Speaker 2: about the NFC at AFC Championship games. We've got three
- 2:12Speaker 2: games left of the NFL. Depressing is that is? I
- 2:16Speaker 2: count the Super Bowl is the third, and so tomorrow
- 2:19Speaker 2: we'll start with the opening game from the from the
- 2:23Speaker 2: NFC two o'clock on Fox.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I count that as your manic depression.
- 2:28Speaker 2: That's when it starts. Yes, that's when it starts.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Where the UFL will be here soon. I believe it's
- 2:34Speaker 1: March twenty eight. Never believe no one pays attention to that.
- 2:37Speaker 1: We're running out. The new NFL is coming, all right.
- 2:41Speaker 2: So we got the Washington Redskins is who as I
- 2:44Speaker 2: will always call them, versus Glenders.
- 2:48Speaker 1: The Philadelphia Eagles, and nobody saw it coming.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Well, now don't say nobody, because we must say that
- 3:00Speaker 2: sports allegedly did have the Eagles and the Redskins.
- 3:03Speaker 1: We did have. We did have. We had them in
- 3:05Speaker 1: the play the playoffs. Yes, I just looked at the paper.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we had Dallas failing horribly.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Dallas was there with them.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Okay, well they we had him for the under We
- 3:15Speaker 2: had we had.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Philly, Dallas and Washington, but Dallas is under got them in.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Oh at the end. Then apparently so much for them
- 3:23Speaker 2: ever getting in the playoffs again. We'll talk about that later.
- 3:27Speaker 2: So anyway, let's get back to Uh, let's talk a
- 3:29Speaker 2: little bit about the game. Obviously, Washington beating Detroit was huge.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You know, well it didn't. Beating Detroit was more than huge.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It was I don't know how you put it. Uh,
- 3:44Speaker 1: it was how not to run an offense.
- 3:48Speaker 2: By what team?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Bye? I don't know that.
- 3:52Speaker 2: No, no, no, the Jared Goff that everyone has talked about.
- 3:59Speaker 1: You didn't even know I had four turnovers. I told
- 4:01Speaker 1: you had four. I only knew.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I only thought he had three. I forgot about that
- 4:04Speaker 2: last interception.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I forgot about.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So this guy throws up. Yeah. So Washington's new coach
- 4:13Speaker 2: decides to throw the ball forty times, and Washington still
- 4:15Speaker 2: has a a mnemic run defense. It's been very clear
- 4:19Speaker 2: that their defense is not strong, still horrible. Jared Goff
- 4:21Speaker 2: throws the ballis Gibbs was everywhere the first quarter. He
- 4:26Speaker 2: had over one hundred purpose yards I think by the
- 4:28Speaker 2: mid second quarter, and he rushes the ball a total
- 4:32Speaker 2: of fourteen times. Fourteen times for Jamier Gibbs. Gibbs a
- 4:37Speaker 2: generational the guy that I called to be one of
- 4:42Speaker 2: the greatest running back Robinson. He's still good too.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You only picked up Gibbs because you had to off
- 4:49Speaker 1: your fantasy.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I drafted him. That was Bucky Irving you're talking about.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But anyway, back to the point, I thought the player,
- 4:55Speaker 2: I thought the I thought that it was vice versa. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 2: but anyway back to the golf. I mean, the one
- 5:03Speaker 2: fumble was horrible, but you're throwing forty times and you
- 5:05Speaker 2: should be running the ball. I mean, David Montgomery come back.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He had seven carries for twenty eight yards. So between you,
- 5:11Speaker 2: between your two studs, excuse me, twenty one carries the
- 5:17Speaker 2: whole game.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Oh no, but wasn't there a pass that was Bill advised?
- 5:21Speaker 1: And he was a pick six? And oh you know
- 5:25Speaker 1: I my deal.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Time of possession obviously was last twenty six versus thirty three,
- 5:31Speaker 2: who had.
- 5:32Speaker 1: The ball for like nine minutes in the first.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So the Lions had the ball or I'm sorry I
- 5:38Speaker 2: had that was a college. They had more yards. They
- 5:40Speaker 2: had more Yeah that was Notre Dame first play. We'll
- 5:43Speaker 2: talk about that. But Lions had more yards. They had
- 5:45Speaker 2: more passing yards, they had more rushing yards, had more yards.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Oh my lord, those turnovers four interceptions is what it
- 5:56Speaker 2: says here. Golf had three? Did someone else throw another one?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Teddy Bridge wanted to toss one?
- 6:01Speaker 2: I don't know. We'll see. Oh, Jamison Williams.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I forgot about that one. Oh that was the wide
- 6:08Speaker 1: receiver pass. Dumb, dumb, dumb. That was when the offense
- 6:15Speaker 1: was getting cute and they were really trying to open
- 6:19Speaker 1: it up.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And just that offense tried to get too cute that
- 6:23Speaker 2: whole game. And I think, and I think, and the
- 6:25Speaker 2: Bears will realize it eventually. Get ready for the cutest
- 6:29Speaker 2: offense in the league. You've got the cutest nails, You've
- 6:32Speaker 2: got the cutest quarterback, the cutest play caller for the Bears.
- 6:37Speaker 2: And for anybody to say that this guy's this generational
- 6:41Speaker 2: wonder kid play caller, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see,
- 6:45Speaker 2: we'll see.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Oh, I know you were talking about Kayleb. No, No,
- 6:47Speaker 1: we're talking.
- 6:47Speaker 2: About Ben Johnson. But anyway, I just thought the game
- 6:50Speaker 2: plan I wanted.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Jayden Daniels from the beginning.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I thought that I thought the game plan was horrible.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I really thought.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I think I just never they could never get away.
- 6:57Speaker 1: The Detroit just could never get away. They could never
- 7:00Speaker 1: get a lead, to never get up because every time
- 7:04Speaker 1: that they scored a touchdown, here comes Washington is a touchdown,
- 7:09Speaker 1: and then Washington finally got to stop on them.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And Washington remember the plate was thirty one to twenty
- 7:15Speaker 2: eight I think, and it was the Washington had the
- 7:18Speaker 2: ball in their own five or on Detroit's five. They're
- 7:20Speaker 2: getting ready drive. It's four and fourth and two and
- 7:22Speaker 2: they're going for it.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and four down.
- 7:25Speaker 2: But Detroit comes out and they got twelve men on
- 7:28Speaker 2: the fucking field first down automatically, and it's like, what
- 7:32Speaker 2: are you doing? I mean, are you just it's everything
- 7:36Speaker 2: is just falling hard.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You were holding them, you were holding them, and then
- 7:41Speaker 1: twelve men was on the field because of communication area. Yes,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I do remember that, and that was a defensive coordinator's fault.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Or somebody's not counting, I mean, and then it turns
- 7:53Speaker 2: into first and goal.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I just then you lose your defensive coordinator to the Jets.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Who didn't we talk about you never go defense defense
- 8:03Speaker 1: for coaching.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I was surprised about.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You never get for player, you never go back to
- 8:07Speaker 1: back the former player.
- 8:09Speaker 2: And then Solid went back to San Francisco. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 2: but no, I just I thought the but I thought
- 8:14Speaker 2: Washington played. And you're right, Seawan, we talked. You just
- 8:16Speaker 2: mentioned the fourth down. You look at the teams that
- 8:18Speaker 2: are going for fourth down more. Washington is one team.
- 8:22Speaker 2: And yeah, and it's the teams that are actually making sense.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And I know we've joked about the big Bang theory
- 8:27Speaker 2: comment where Sheldon goes, I don't know, you know, he's
- 8:29Speaker 2: talking to his dad, who's the football or young Sheldon. Sorry,
- 8:32Speaker 2: he's talking to his dad about going forward on fourth down.
- 8:34Speaker 2: He's like probability because he was a football coach. If
- 8:36Speaker 2: you remember on that show, he said, probability goes. If
- 8:39Speaker 2: you punt, you don't score ever ever. But if you
- 8:43Speaker 2: go for it on fourth, the probability of you scoring
- 8:45Speaker 2: as much.
- 8:46Speaker 1: But you have to go forward on fourth at a
- 8:49Speaker 1: certain time.
- 8:49Speaker 2: You But no, I think I think everybody going past
- 8:52Speaker 2: the forty.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Now fifty should be passive.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Forty forty to forty five on their own or on
- 8:58Speaker 2: the opponents should go for it, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 2: And that's and that's what you're seeing is probably especially
- 9:04Speaker 2: if you have a dynamic running quarterback like Jane Daniels
- 9:08Speaker 2: who hands down who we predicted was the best quarterback
- 9:11Speaker 2: in the draft right here and and so far he is,
- 9:14Speaker 2: and he's the rookie of the year by far. He's
- 9:17Speaker 2: probably had one of the best rookie seasons in history.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He's also forgotten that he has opened up for the
- 9:21Speaker 1: running back that they have.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Eckler has had a kind of are you
- 9:30Speaker 2: talking about the other guy? But I thought Eckler had
- 9:33Speaker 2: a good game in this one. I'll go back and
- 9:36Speaker 2: look at his six six carries, forty seven yards average
- 9:40Speaker 2: seven eight. Brian Robinson Junior.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Is good too.
- 9:44Speaker 2: He's not the b Robinson that's generational, but he's pretty good.
- 9:49Speaker 2: But you know, Jane Daniels also had fifty one yards rushing,
- 9:52Speaker 2: So your team stat wise was those those rushing yards,
- 9:58Speaker 2: but it was obviously the turnovers is really what killed
- 10:02Speaker 2: Detroit when it comes down to it. And you look
- 10:05Speaker 2: at Tampa Bay when they played Washington, that one turnover
- 10:09Speaker 2: that Baker had that killed them too. It's it's exactly
- 10:13Speaker 2: why it's easy to lean Philadelphia to win this game,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I know.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But Jaydon Daniels has already made that proclamation. He wants
- 10:22Speaker 1: to be the first starting rookie quarterback to go to
- 10:25Speaker 1: Super Bowl. In the Super Bowl, yes, but.
- 10:27Speaker 2: We can talk a little Let's talk. Let's talk a
- 10:30Speaker 2: little bit about the Eagles before we get in the
- 10:31Speaker 2: matchup within the Eagles played, the Rams beat them twenty
- 10:34Speaker 2: eight and you know, and you look back at this
- 10:37Speaker 2: game though too, and the Rams probably could have won
- 10:40Speaker 2: this game in a normal conditioned.
- 10:44Speaker 3: You know that extra point that was missed too, well.
- 10:48Speaker 2: He missed that one at the end of the game.
- 10:52Speaker 2: That was horrible.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Didn't they go for two?
- 10:56Speaker 2: Not at the last because all they had to do
- 10:58Speaker 2: was score win.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Who is it that went for two twice and missed it?
- 11:03Speaker 1: They went for two? I think it was Philly or
- 11:06Speaker 1: was La they went for the No, it might have
- 11:10Speaker 1: been the Ravens. I'm thinking of the Ravens game. So yeah,
- 11:13Speaker 1: that was that one too. I've had a lot of
- 11:15Speaker 1: football and in a full week of where.
- 11:19Speaker 2: No so so the Rams. So the Rams weeks. I
- 11:23Speaker 2: think the Rams had a very good opportunity. I thought
- 11:26Speaker 2: Karen Williams I think had a bad turnover and uh,
- 11:30Speaker 2: well they had two turnovers. I don't know who that
- 11:32Speaker 2: other one was, but Karen Williams had a bad one,
- 11:36Speaker 2: and and Stafford played okay, twenty six to forty four
- 11:40Speaker 2: through the ball forty four times in the snow, which
- 11:44Speaker 2: you look around and you look at the Eagles sa
- 11:47Speaker 2: Quon Barkley over two hundred yards.
- 11:50Speaker 1: And then that became a running.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Well, sure, sure did. But Jalen Hurts had seven seventy
- 11:55Speaker 2: yards and he was.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Sacked for safety. But the two is very surprising.
- 11:59Speaker 2: But the you know, three hundred and fifty yards, I'm
- 12:02Speaker 2: sorry they they also uh And that was another weird
- 12:06Speaker 2: statistic that most of the people that out gained their
- 12:09Speaker 2: opponent lost three and fifty yards to four oh two.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Rushing yards is two eighty five to one eleven. Time
- 12:16Speaker 2: of possession was pretty even. And that's what's crazy about
- 12:20Speaker 2: that is because of all the rushing yards. But the fumbles.
- 12:23Speaker 2: There was two fumbles and lost by the Rams and
- 12:26Speaker 2: that killed them. And then plus you know, they had
- 12:28Speaker 2: the opportunity at the end to go for it or
- 12:30Speaker 2: to even drive, and they were driving and just didn't
- 12:33Speaker 2: get it done.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I finish, they.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Didn't, and and it was an opportunity squandered really by
- 12:41Speaker 2: them more than any other team.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Stafford with two fumbles one lost, and Kyrine had two
- 12:49Speaker 1: fumbles one lost.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah, no, just one, just one lost? Yes, yes, his
- 12:53Speaker 2: was his? Was the one that was as a bad one.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Jalen's got his recovered by Kenneth game though, gotcha because
- 13:02Speaker 1: this is Yeah. Cooper Degene also had a fumble, but
- 13:07Speaker 1: it was recover.
- 13:08Speaker 2: He also had a recovery, probably his own.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's when he had a.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Well but then you gotta look at it. You gotta
- 13:15Speaker 2: look at that well. No, Cooper could have got one of.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Those, didn't there, Yeah didn't they didn't They trade fumbles.
- 13:20Speaker 2: The more likely gainwell got really.
- 13:23Speaker 1: On top of being a part of the game.
- 13:25Speaker 2: No, that's game, will I mean, we have to we
- 13:28Speaker 2: have to be no gain, well was it? I didn't
- 13:30Speaker 2: watch it all either, I did, did you?
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yes, Well I don't.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I couldn't watch it all.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I watched most of this game because this game started.
- 13:37Speaker 2: But the second half was great. Yeah, I did watch
- 13:39Speaker 2: the second half.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Well, and it was like I had you, I told
- 13:42Speaker 1: you to watch that Houston l A Chargers game because
- 13:46Speaker 1: that was probably the funnest game I've seen in the
- 13:50Speaker 1: NFL in a long time.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Well, and you.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Know they had a block field goal that are blocked
- 13:55Speaker 1: extra point that they took back for two. They had
- 14:00Speaker 1: couple I think they had a safety, they had well,
- 14:04Speaker 1: they had a lot of fun. It was. It was
- 14:05Speaker 1: a fun game.
- 14:06Speaker 2: We'll talk about Texans too, because even that was that
- 14:10Speaker 2: that was a game. You know, you look at all
- 14:12Speaker 2: the games, you look at.
- 14:13Speaker 1: They knew coming in.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You look at the Rams, you look at Rams, you
- 14:17Speaker 2: look at Houston, you look at who Be, the Lions
- 14:23Speaker 2: and who and the Ravens, all four of those teams
- 14:27Speaker 2: and when you look at it, probably paid better than
- 14:30Speaker 2: their opponents overall. Oh yeah, and lost. They all lost.
- 14:35Speaker 2: And the key and the key strategy and generally most
- 14:38Speaker 2: of them was was was either bad penalties, the.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Bad everybody knew that Houston coming into this game, it
- 14:47Speaker 1: was going to be Houston versus the rest. All of
- 14:50Speaker 1: Kansas City fans say no, yet there are fans of
- 14:55Speaker 1: thirty one other teams out there that let and go No.
- 14:58Speaker 1: You all have a plus eight differential, I believe is
- 15:01Speaker 1: what it is. Well, I mean for the referees calls
- 15:05Speaker 1: going for them.
- 15:06Speaker 2: We'll talk a little bit about that too. I've got
- 15:07Speaker 2: some stats on the new ref that's coming in for
- 15:09Speaker 2: the Chiefs game tomorrow.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Oh there's a new one.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Well, there's a guy that's there and it's not favorable
- 15:14Speaker 2: the Chiefs.
- 15:16Speaker 1: So yeah, and you get you get a fifteen year penalty.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Whenever he's he there's already two players lunging at him
- 15:26Speaker 1: and he goes into a slide.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Oh you're talking about the Chiefs game.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Yeah, the Chiefs Texans game. Yeah. So, and everybody knew
- 15:34Speaker 1: that it was gonna be them versus.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We can talk about we can get moved to the
- 15:37Speaker 2: FC before we get back into the NFL.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Well, every game, well yeah, well the only game.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Is Eagles and talk about you want to talk about
- 15:45Speaker 2: the Eagles and Commanders.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Now, no, no, wait until we get to the end
- 15:49Speaker 1: of this.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Okay, so you want to review the last week. Okay, Yeah,
- 15:52Speaker 2: they talk about the game, talk about the Chiefs, then
- 15:55Speaker 2: talk about the Chiefs and Texans. Once again. Texans out
- 15:59Speaker 2: gained Chiefs three hun and thirty six yards two hundred twelve.
- 16:03Speaker 2: There was really no turnovers. Everything was Texas.
- 16:09Speaker 1: It's just it was the referees, and it was Houston's ineptitude, yes.
- 16:13Speaker 2: To score just there, just when they were there. It's
- 16:18Speaker 2: just it was and.
- 16:19Speaker 1: That stupid Mahomes pass when he was falling down Becauesse.
- 16:22Speaker 2: It was thirteen to twelve. Did you see that going
- 16:25Speaker 2: into the fourth quarter. Yeah, it was thirteen to twelve
- 16:27Speaker 2: going into the fourth quarter, and it was just they
- 16:32Speaker 2: just they could not get anything done after that. And
- 16:36Speaker 2: I thought, you know, honestly, to be honest, I thought
- 16:39Speaker 2: the Texans, excuse me, Dexan's defensive line played pretty well
- 16:45Speaker 2: because they only give about fifty yards rushing.
- 16:49Speaker 1: But you know, turn around and CJ.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Strike got sacked eight times. Yeah, you know, compare.
- 16:59Speaker 1: That to three. The defense.
- 17:02Speaker 2: In the regulation, well, we've talked about this before. That's
- 17:05Speaker 2: Steve Spagnolia and the defense for the Chiefs is what's
- 17:07Speaker 2: winning them games, but it's what's won them super Bowls
- 17:10Speaker 2: that the past.
- 17:11Speaker 1: We also know that Kansas City, at least, and then
- 17:15Speaker 1: the one before Kansas City is in the playoffs, Kansas
- 17:21Speaker 1: City is a different team whenever they get into the playoffs.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's almost the Brady effect where Brady was you know, well,
- 17:30Speaker 1: those those New England teams weren't that strong, but then
- 17:34Speaker 1: they got into the playoffs and would make it.
- 17:35Speaker 2: But a lot of home field advantage. Chiefs the same way,
- 17:39Speaker 2: played in a weak division, Chiefs the same way.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Well, three of those teams made it out of that
- 17:46Speaker 1: division into the playoffs under the ANFC West. Yeah, this
- 17:53Speaker 1: year they've benefited from the last few.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Years, That's what I'm saying. This year they made it.
- 17:58Speaker 2: But still Kansas City lost two games and eight no
- 18:03Speaker 2: at home field.
- 18:05Speaker 1: And the only reason why they lost that second game was
- 18:07Speaker 1: because nobody played.
- 18:09Speaker 2: That was the Denver game, because they was a give up.
- 18:11Speaker 1: They already knew that they had the number one seed
- 18:13Speaker 1: and went ahead and dine it. But yeah, we're gonna
- 18:18Speaker 1: need something.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Talk about the bills.
- 18:20Speaker 1: We need these referees.
- 18:22Speaker 2: That was. That was one of the best games.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I mean that is not It wasn't as fun as
- 18:27Speaker 1: the LA Chargers Houston Texans game, but it was a
- 18:30Speaker 1: great game. And you want to talk about a bad
- 18:33Speaker 1: coaching decision, which one in this game? The go for
- 18:39Speaker 1: two when you don't need to.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Go for two earlier one, the one that made you
- 18:43Speaker 2: go for two?
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yea, because you would have been down a point and
- 18:48Speaker 1: you could have just kicked it and you wouldn't have
- 18:50Speaker 1: had Mark Andrews drop it right at the goal line.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Poor guy.
- 18:56Speaker 1: All right, You know what it did though, all those
- 18:58Speaker 1: Buffalo Bills fans did get together and donate to his charity.
- 19:03Speaker 2: That was cool.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they were like they felt bad. They were like, hey,
- 19:06Speaker 1: you know, here's your charity. So I'm sorry you dropped
- 19:10Speaker 1: that ball. Thank you for dropping the ball.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Well, and they were oerver too. I was gonna try
- 19:17Speaker 2: to see if I could find over the till timing. Okay,
- 19:21Speaker 2: third quarter. Yeah, it was twenty one nineteen minute third
- 19:26Speaker 2: left in the third and they went for two, which
- 19:28Speaker 2: I thought was early too, right, yeah, right, there.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Was no reason to actually go for the two. Kick
- 19:33Speaker 1: the field goal, take the point and see what happens
- 19:35Speaker 1: when you get down, because they ended up.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Screwing up and they were they were on the road.
- 19:41Speaker 1: So Buffalo had ended up missing up extra point, which
- 19:45Speaker 1: would have made it to where you could have taken
- 19:47Speaker 1: it into overtime and had gotten that Baltimore was on
- 19:52Speaker 1: a heater in the second half. Yes, I mean Baltimore
- 19:56Speaker 1: just you would have they could not have been stopped.
- 20:00Speaker 1: But that one, that the two point conversions just killer.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, oh for two, that game, huge, huge killer. Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Sometimes these coaches, you know, it's almost you're almost better
- 20:13Speaker 2: off going for for fourth and two than going for two.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Sometimes you think about it because you got so many
- 20:19Speaker 2: more options because the field is so much bigger, you know.
- 20:22Speaker 2: But yeah, they went for I thought that was a
- 20:23Speaker 2: little early to go for two. Plus you think about it,
- 20:25Speaker 2: they're down, they'd only be down by one on the road,
- 20:29Speaker 2: bad weather, We're done by one and.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Still the last they got the last touchdown and.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Still the fourth quarter.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I believe, I believe this is one of the games
- 20:37Speaker 1: you and I talked about. It was coming down to
- 20:38Speaker 1: whoever had the ball last.
- 20:40Speaker 2: But hey, listen, like I told you before about those
- 20:43Speaker 2: four teams total yards four and sixteen for the Ravens
- 20:46Speaker 2: to seventy three for the Bills. Rushing passing was lower.
- 20:50Speaker 1: That rushing was lower, that Von Miller fumble pickup was
- 20:54Speaker 1: a killer.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Well, no, they had two fumbles in an interception, right.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I mean that goes back to the turnover. Detroit Ravens
- 21:00Speaker 2: killed themselves period. Some was coaching, I think more on
- 21:05Speaker 2: the on the Lions. I thought the game plan was
- 21:07Speaker 2: just trash for the Lions, and.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I became trash. I think they and.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I think the Ravens simply was just players just I mean,
- 21:16Speaker 2: some players were not making plays while the defense for
- 21:20Speaker 2: the other one was making plays. So I think that's
- 21:22Speaker 2: that had a huge part of that.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So I just like I said, you know, it was
- 21:27Speaker 1: gonna come down to whoever had that ball last. And
- 21:29Speaker 1: I don't even remember we took let's get we even
- 21:32Speaker 1: take scores on this on these two.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah, phone, it's on my phone. I think we all picked.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I have to go back and look. No, No, I
- 21:39Speaker 1: know that we did scores for the college.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Maybe we did?
- 21:44Speaker 1: Did we did we do it on the No, because
- 21:47Speaker 1: it was last week.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Remember we had taken that we had just done the
- 21:52Speaker 2: week before we did we did? We got Texas and
- 21:55Speaker 2: Ohio State, no hold on, and then that was the
- 21:59Speaker 2: other That's what I'm saying. And we were a week
- 22:00Speaker 2: behind Bill's. Of course I took Tampa.
- 22:05Speaker 1: So we didn't. Yeah we did, Okay, yeah, uh And
- 22:13Speaker 1: I got a question we've got I know you're gonna
- 22:19Speaker 1: I know this was gonna cause you to probably cream
- 22:20Speaker 1: your your man panties. I can't wait. We we've been chanting.
- 22:26Speaker 1: We've had the same three to four idiots that for
- 22:30Speaker 1: MVP the last what three years?
- 22:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you've got home Home and and Lamar Lamar.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I think Josh, Yeah, Jalen's been out there, Josh the
- 22:46Speaker 2: most likely.
- 22:47Speaker 1: This year we've had the same four idiots. What about
- 22:54Speaker 1: Mike Evans, he he's had but seven eight thousand the
- 23:00Speaker 1: yard seasons in a row nine just something, he's got
- 23:04Speaker 1: a record. Now, Uh, you have Saquon Barkley, Who's who's
- 23:08Speaker 1: breaking the single season rushing they've got. You've got Derrick Henry,
- 23:15Speaker 1: who's who's been on the heater every season that he's played.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Who else we got out there that that's not a
- 23:24Speaker 1: quarterback that does really well for the team that never
- 23:28Speaker 1: gets talked about for m v P. Were you looking
- 23:30Speaker 1: with the last time with the MVP was not a quarterback?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Lamar Patrick, Aaron Aaron, Adrian Peterson.
- 23:38Speaker 1: There you go, Adrian Peterson.
- 23:40Speaker 2: In twenty twelve. That's according to the AP. I don't know.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I think that's it. Whatever. I thought, that's the only
- 23:49Speaker 1: MVP that we had for the NFL.
- 23:54Speaker 2: That's possible.
- 23:57Speaker 1: So when do we have any of the defensive guys
- 23:59Speaker 1: getting m VP.
- 24:03Speaker 2: It really doesn't show. And even Sol Danley and Thomas
- 24:08Speaker 2: and was the other running back I remember that year
- 24:11Speaker 2: of Sean it was really good Marshall. That was when
- 24:15Speaker 2: the Rams Barry I think Terrell. That was the year
- 24:19Speaker 2: they won the championship to the first Super Bowl?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Why is it so heavy quarterback? So do you even.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Touched them all the most?
- 24:28Speaker 1: That's what makes does it even matter if you're on
- 24:30Speaker 1: the team to give the m v P. Not for
- 24:32Speaker 1: defense for regular season? For anybody? Has there ever been
- 24:37Speaker 1: and no, I don't think there's ever been a keep
- 24:41Speaker 1: going down?
- 24:42Speaker 2: Well no, I was just looking at Oh you mean defense? Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 2: just Lawrence Taylor eighty six.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Okay, so we've had one guy.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Which how a kicker won it in eighty two? Which
- 24:53Speaker 2: how bad was everyone else that year? You've got to
- 24:56Speaker 2: do better than that if a kicker won.
- 24:57Speaker 1: It, but didn't they win the Super Bowl.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Al page for the Vikings, which that was the Purple
- 25:02Speaker 2: people eaters? I believe years.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Right, But we're looking at we're looking at it all quarterback.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I just it needs to change. We need to get it.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Out of the I think what was it, Bill Belichick?
- 25:12Speaker 2: I think or Bill Parcells one of the other I
- 25:14Speaker 2: can't say that he that Lawrence Taylor's best player ever
- 25:18Speaker 2: ever he's been around.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Talent wise, Yeah, but he loves little girls. Was he
- 25:22Speaker 1: that it? Yeah? Allegedly, But anyway, cocaine and teenage allegedly,
- 25:28Speaker 1: it's it's true. They actually busted me. Wanted fourteen year old.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Girls and it's until proven guilty, and cocaine he was
- 25:35Speaker 2: proving guilty. Okay.
- 25:40Speaker 4: I think even said it because I have a problem
- 25:44Speaker 4: cocaine and teenage girls. Uh so, yeah, we end up
- 25:48Speaker 4: coming up with the with another Buffalo versus Kansas City game.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Do you do you find that? Uh?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Repetitive?
- 25:59Speaker 2: Not repetitive. No, I don't think this year is very
- 26:02Speaker 2: Is this.
- 26:03Speaker 1: The year that Josh gets over that?
- 26:05Speaker 2: I think hope. I think that's the story. But let's
- 26:09Speaker 2: not talk about them yet because I think that's the
- 26:11Speaker 2: bigger game. Let's start with Philadelphia.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Let's go Hilly Washington, all right. So they split the
- 26:15Speaker 1: games in the in the regular season, and I believe
- 26:18Speaker 1: it was like a three point swing the game that
- 26:21Speaker 1: the Commanders won Kenny Pickett was starting.
- 26:24Speaker 2: That's correct, thank you, thank you, thank you, correct, thank
- 26:27Speaker 2: you correct.
- 26:29Speaker 1: But I do believe that both of those were what
- 26:32Speaker 1: within six points of each other, three to six points.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Everybody don't think it matters this Philly's got a six
- 26:40Speaker 2: and a half. It's a six and a half point spread.
- 26:41Speaker 2: It's a two o'clock kickoff. I haven't The weather is
- 26:44Speaker 2: not going to be bad. It's gonna be chili. But
- 26:46Speaker 2: both playing chili. You're not going to see a bunch
- 26:49Speaker 2: of snow or anything.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Same way we're gonna see Grandpa Vic trying to hold
- 26:54Speaker 1: that line. Same way for the we're to see that.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Send him see in three and four at a time.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Just to you're talking about to commanders, Oh Fangio, Yeah,
- 27:04Speaker 2: that's gonna be a tougher defense. You talk about Vic
- 27:06Speaker 2: Fangio's defense, he's.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Going to be gauging. You know that he's going to
- 27:10Speaker 1: have He's he's going to have the cover that he's
- 27:13Speaker 1: going to be running the zone or a half zone,
- 27:16Speaker 1: half man depending on the zone. Can be killer.
- 27:19Speaker 2: What you have to what I've noticed about Jaydon Danas
- 27:21Speaker 2: is you watch the screen passes I do. You watch
- 27:23Speaker 2: the play action and then you want and then you
- 27:26Speaker 2: watch when you don't, When you blitz too heavy, he'll
- 27:32Speaker 2: beat you there because they'll send you. They'll send those
- 27:36Speaker 2: guys out into the field. As far as he can hit.
- 27:38Speaker 1: He can hit all of his receivers or he can
- 27:42Speaker 1: just take off.
- 27:43Speaker 2: The problem is, you know, Jaydenon Daniels probably top ten
- 27:46Speaker 2: deep throw passing.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Court, I said, and I knew, you know, I mean
- 27:51Speaker 3: from everybody.
- 27:52Speaker 2: That's why I wanted the bar throws a great deep ball.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Uh Philadelphia's defense a little week in. The secondary's good off.
- 28:00Speaker 2: They've got the guys back though, but they have gotten
- 28:02Speaker 2: a back, yes, but I still think that's their weakness.
- 28:05Speaker 2: It's that secondary because the front four, Jalen Carter you
- 28:08Speaker 2: said was going to be nobody, is one of the
- 28:10Speaker 2: top defensive UH line, and look.
- 28:13Speaker 1: What it took, what it took to get him to
- 28:14Speaker 1: do that.
- 28:15Speaker 2: You just had another just another year the evict and
- 28:19Speaker 2: but so you're gonna see, you're gonna you're gonna see
- 28:22Speaker 2: their see they're gonna be uh not vic anyway, You're
- 28:26Speaker 2: gonna see that they're gonna be bringing in there. I
- 28:29Speaker 2: think they're gonna bring I think what they're gonna I
- 28:32Speaker 2: really think. I think. I think what they're really going
- 28:34Speaker 2: to try to do is I think you're gonna see
- 28:36Speaker 2: a lot of three man rushes and I think you're
- 28:37Speaker 2: gonna see one of those defensive line come out, not
- 28:41Speaker 2: saying a spy or anything. I think you're just going
- 28:43Speaker 2: to to be able to free up a linebacker to
- 28:46Speaker 2: either be blitzing there too or or just I think
- 28:49Speaker 2: you're gonna see some interesting changes. Fangio is not known
- 28:52Speaker 2: for a lot of that changing up and fanciness. Uh,
- 28:55Speaker 2: but I think you're gonna see it now. To confuse them.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Best way to get to Jade and Daniels. Tampa did
- 29:01Speaker 2: it against them the first game they played. Of course,
- 29:03Speaker 2: he was a rookie, that was early in the year.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Tampa did it to him. You know, they only scored
- 29:08Speaker 2: twenty something points against Tampa in the first round. And
- 29:13Speaker 2: and you just got to have that different sets of pressure,
- 29:15Speaker 2: send him different looks, and and you've got to stop
- 29:19Speaker 2: the run. Don't let them run the ball, make him
- 29:23Speaker 2: have to throw the ball and run the ball. That
- 29:26Speaker 2: makes sense. Then if Robinson's going to be running the ball,
- 29:30Speaker 2: I mean.
- 29:30Speaker 1: It's offense versus the commander's defense. They have to stop
- 29:34Speaker 1: the run and make them stop you running.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, I mean it's it's make Jalen Hurts
- 29:38Speaker 2: win the game as his arm, not his legs. With
- 29:40Speaker 2: his arm, Yeah, with his arms. That's that's the way
- 29:43Speaker 2: the Commanders win the game. Make Kenny Wright and show
- 29:47Speaker 2: the world. Did I not that he's not an NFL quarterback?
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yeah? Did I not say that it was gonna end
- 29:52Speaker 1: up being the Eagles Chiefs Again.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I I do actually recall you might have said that, So.
- 29:59Speaker 1: That is going to be teams. As I signed up
- 30:01Speaker 1: a bench, it's gonna be it was one team that
- 30:03Speaker 1: went out. I forgot which team it was. It went out,
- 30:06Speaker 1: and I was I think it was when Detroit went out.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I was like, it's going to be Eagles, Eagles Chiefs.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah. That was a pretty fun super Bowl it was,
- 30:14Speaker 2: but still but pretty anti climatic because it's a It
- 30:17Speaker 2: was a very slow.
- 30:20Speaker 1: The forty nine Ers Chiefs game was the same way. Yeah, exactly.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Okay, so who do you got? Eagles, Commanders spread six.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I've taken the Eagles for our under the under the
- 30:32Speaker 1: table pill. Me too, And I ended up wanting to
- 30:34Speaker 1: change and you said I couldn't, so we stuck it
- 30:37Speaker 1: back with the Eagles. Uh. I think that the Commanders,
- 30:44Speaker 1: if Dan Quinn is able to get his running game
- 30:50Speaker 1: going and his that line protects Jayden Jayden, that they're
- 30:56Speaker 1: gonna win.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Well, I think they're going to be aggressive talking about
- 31:00Speaker 2: uh are coming out of the pressures, not on them.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I know that I'm not taking that six points commander's pressure.
- 31:07Speaker 2: There's nothing. I've heard the word house money thrown around
- 31:11Speaker 2: a lot, and it's probably right. They're there before they
- 31:14Speaker 2: should have got there. I think they won four games
- 31:16Speaker 2: last year.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Said that that Jaden was just a certain age on
- 31:24Speaker 1: my birth certificate.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I agree. I've got the Eagles too. I've got the Eagles.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I wouldn't bet the spread either. I think Eagles win
- 31:36Speaker 2: by three. Maybe a late score gets above the spread,
- 31:39Speaker 2: could be ten type deal. But I think you're gonna
- 31:42Speaker 2: see a lot of Saquon. I think what they're going
- 31:45Speaker 2: to try to really show. And remember Jason Kelsey's gone
- 31:51Speaker 2: and their offensive line is better this year, and that's
- 31:54Speaker 2: something that he said, you do have the number one
- 31:57Speaker 2: offensive line he is in the NFL.
- 31:58Speaker 1: He has also still helped with that.
- 32:00Speaker 2: But yeah, but I'm saying it's and that's why I'm
- 32:02Speaker 2: taking the Eagles. You know, they had some defensive problems,
- 32:05Speaker 2: so we got some drama problem and I think they
- 32:07Speaker 2: got a quarterback.
- 32:10Speaker 1: It was funny for this team that we thought when
- 32:11Speaker 1: they lost Stitching and uh, who's the other idiot?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Oh the guy that's at Arizona, not Connor.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Anyway, whatever we thought whenever Sirianni lost those two that
- 32:25Speaker 1: it was going downhill, Well all it took was another
- 32:31Speaker 1: you know, two years and you're back in then you're
- 32:35Speaker 1: you're back in the super Bowl almost well and.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Jonathan Gannon, not gan cornor Connor Gannon. But they started
- 32:45Speaker 2: out a little week the rumors were, oh gonna fire.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Well, all of last season there was that. There, there
- 32:52Speaker 1: was that wondering of what was going to happen with
- 32:55Speaker 1: the Eagles, and yes, Sirianni was for some reason on
- 32:59Speaker 1: a hot seat. I don't understand how you have a
- 33:01Speaker 1: coach who's who's doing this with these guys and he's
- 33:04Speaker 1: on the hot seat.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Well, I think you know there's drama there.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Well, I guess ownership there is not a but.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Doug Peterson, who Super Bowl was fired a year and
- 33:12Speaker 2: a half later, and then again then.
- 33:15Speaker 1: They brought in Chip Kelly and we saw that way.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Chip Kelly did okay for the buck Eyes as a coordinator.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I'm just saying, and how much money did they pay him? See,
- 33:28Speaker 1: you still get.
- 33:30Speaker 2: All right, So let's move on to the Bills and Chiefs.
- 33:33Speaker 1: We hate this game. I don't care, you do care?
- 33:36Speaker 1: Really care? What can't he win?
- 33:41Speaker 3: Come on one and a half point favorite now according
- 33:46Speaker 3: to ESPN, And I called it at Wyo, and he.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Was gonna come out and be a great NFL quarterback.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Two and a half point spread. It's moved a little bit.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I saw one and a half. Chiefs are three and
- 33:58Speaker 2: oh against the Bills in the playoffs since twenty twenty,
- 34:04Speaker 2: but they're only four and four against them in the
- 34:08Speaker 2: regular season. So and the Bills already won. Bill's already
- 34:13Speaker 2: won this year, thirty to twenty one.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I told you it's two different damn teams. Kansas City's
- 34:17Speaker 1: two different damn teams. You got regular season Kansas City
- 34:21Speaker 1: and then you got playoff Kansas City.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Well, I just clutt remember this name, cut Baked Clett
- 34:27Speaker 2: Bateman is his name. He's a referee for then kid
- 34:30Speaker 2: clip Well, I kind of like it. Actually, he'll be
- 34:33Speaker 2: the head referee c So Blakeman's case. Clin Blakeman's crew
- 34:39Speaker 2: refereed won Bill's game in the regular season. Is your
- 34:41Speaker 2: zero Chiefs schemes? Obviously? For example, the week seventeen against
- 34:48Speaker 2: Buffalo Jets. O were twenty three penalties, including the Bills.
- 34:51Speaker 1: So did kill it.
- 34:53Speaker 2: But as we get a little more into it, hold on,
- 34:58Speaker 2: let me find it. He is Anti Patrick Mahomes is
- 35:02Speaker 2: six and five in games officiated by Blakeman, his second
- 35:06Speaker 2: worst record against any other referees. That's good to put
- 35:10Speaker 2: that into, uh some retrospect. Let's see what did I
- 35:14Speaker 2: say I had? He's undefeated with eight He's undefeated with
- 35:17Speaker 2: eight other refs.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I'm trying from here.
- 35:20Speaker 2: He's undefeated with eight other refs in the league. Eight
- 35:24Speaker 2: he's undefeated and then ten and two against the Hockey
- 35:28Speaker 2: League not ed but his son I don't remember his
- 35:31Speaker 2: first but anyway, he's also meslie in the arms. So
- 35:36Speaker 2: so I think that the NFL, with all the grief
- 35:38Speaker 2: that they've got, actually threw a guy up that statistically
- 35:41Speaker 2: doesn't look in favor of the Chiefs. Which if you
- 35:46Speaker 2: do that, aren't you kind of saying.
- 35:52Speaker 1: You think it's kind of taking the heat off there.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Oh well, the Chiefs. One look at this guy's record
- 35:57Speaker 2: against him type deal. You know that's that's I'm aware.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I completely understand it's at the Chiefs weather's going to
- 36:05Speaker 2: be cold, nothing bad to a half point favorite. Like
- 36:10Speaker 2: I said, it's moved up a little bit. The games
- 36:13Speaker 2: at five thirty, so it's going to be a night game.
- 36:15Speaker 2: It's gonna get into the dark.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Twenty four thirteen, he got twenty four to thirteen meals.
- 36:20Speaker 2: I got the Bills too. I think they win twenty
- 36:23Speaker 2: four thirteen. I think they win, twenty seven.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Twenty three, twenty four, thirteen.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Twenty seven, rain Man, twenty seven, got rain Man twenty seven,
- 36:32Speaker 2: twenty four to thirteen, twenty seven, twenty three, And you're
- 36:36Speaker 2: twenty what.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I forgot twenty four thirteen. You should have wrote it
- 36:41Speaker 1: down when I was doing rain Man. I don't know
- 36:44Speaker 1: what I've gotten for the Commander's Eagles game. I'm just
- 36:46Speaker 1: gonna say twenty four to twenty one Philly.
- 36:51Speaker 2: What was it?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Twenty four, twenty one, twenty four twenty one Philly? I
- 36:55Speaker 1: did not know. I have a feeling that it's gonna
- 36:58Speaker 1: be thirty eight thirty two.
- 37:00Speaker 2: I got thirty eight twenty eight. I got thirty eight
- 37:05Speaker 2: twenty mine in parentheses thirty eight thirty because I don't
- 37:11Speaker 2: think that game could be I think.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Game is gonna get out of control fast, so especially
- 37:16Speaker 1: with with no inclement weather.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Well, and what's funny, this is gonna be cold. And
- 37:21Speaker 2: what's funny is is I took the the over and under.
- 37:26Speaker 2: It's about forty seven forty eight for both. Oh so
- 37:30Speaker 2: most people. I mean, we took the over on the
- 37:32Speaker 2: Philly Washington game, but I'll be on the under on
- 37:36Speaker 2: though You'll be under on the other game on the
- 37:39Speaker 2: Bills and just Josh.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I gotta do it. No, Josh, you gotta do it.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I think what really happens is who fucks this game up?
- 37:47Speaker 2: It's gonna be about turnover.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Don't say Taylor Smith because no.
- 37:50Speaker 2: No, it's about turnovers and what Buffalo has done in
- 37:52Speaker 2: the last two years. I talked we talked about this. No,
- 37:54Speaker 2: I don't know if we talked about on air, but
- 37:56Speaker 2: how much they've improved their tone, over ratio, the mistakes
- 38:00Speaker 2: they don't have near they they've led, They've led the NFL.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I think this year in turnover margin. Don't know about
- 38:07Speaker 2: penalty yards, but I know that they improved. You remember
- 38:10Speaker 2: Josh Allen three or four years ago would try to
- 38:12Speaker 2: be like Brett fav Ish when he was young, stay different.
- 38:19Speaker 2: He does it try to make those mistakes, and he
- 38:22Speaker 2: allegedly has worst wide receivers.
- 38:25Speaker 1: That's what That's what I was about to say, especially
- 38:28Speaker 1: with him coming into the season and everybody questioning the
- 38:33Speaker 1: wide receivers that they.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Have one fun stat to talk about tonight, Knox Kincaid
- 38:37Speaker 2: will be critical because Kansas City's defense is one of
- 38:40Speaker 2: the worst in the league for tight ends. Yes, we'll see.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I think that's I think that's play. That's that's a
- 38:47Speaker 2: player to watch. Obviously, you're gonna have big tight end play.
- 38:50Speaker 2: You're gonna have big James Cook play. As long as
- 38:53Speaker 2: uh Alan doesn't make the mistakes, as long as Alan
- 38:57Speaker 2: Allen doesn't make the mistakes, he doesn't have to win
- 38:59Speaker 2: the game. I think that Cook and I think that
- 39:03Speaker 2: he's been smart.
- 39:03Speaker 1: About winning it with his legs. Oh how many games
- 39:06Speaker 1: he had where he's had like the bad interceptions, I mean,
- 39:09Speaker 1: what was it not bad? I mean he had I
- 39:13Speaker 1: forgot his season. He had that one game, we had
- 39:15Speaker 1: three or four.
- 39:17Speaker 2: I don't think he did this year, did he?
- 39:19Speaker 1: I think, yeah, yeah, I swear he had one game
- 39:22Speaker 1: where I know.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I think he's he's been pretty consistent that that he
- 39:27Speaker 2: hasn't done anything. Now we talk about New England having
- 39:30Speaker 2: the easy AFCs. It looks like Buffalo doing.
- 39:32Speaker 1: That right now.
- 39:33Speaker 2: But no, I think it's going to be. I think
- 39:34Speaker 2: this final four everybody wants, let's be honest, everybody wants
- 39:39Speaker 2: Washington Bills as a super Bowl. And I think that
- 39:44Speaker 2: was the high end one. Yes, yes, And I think
- 39:46Speaker 2: they did. They lose that game. I believe they did,
- 39:48Speaker 2: kind of one of those weird wow they really lost
- 39:51Speaker 2: that game type deal.
- 39:53Speaker 1: So no, I think that I think it was the
- 39:57Speaker 1: one that we did not.
- 39:58Speaker 2: But I mean you look at his other game games,
- 40:00Speaker 2: his quarterback rating, you know, one thirty five. I mean
- 40:02Speaker 2: that was against the Broncos. They beat them, they beat
- 40:05Speaker 2: they beat the division rival, though, but you look at
- 40:08Speaker 2: the teams, the Rams, the forty nine ers, you know,
- 40:13Speaker 2: played horrible against the Colts. But then you take those
- 40:16Speaker 2: other games, I mean those are all good and consistently.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Jet Jaggs Dolphins.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Is he the m v P Probably And weird Lamar
- 40:27Speaker 2: had better numbers this year than he had in his
- 40:29Speaker 2: last MVP.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Joe Burrow is Joe Burrow.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Joe Burrd did have hell of a year.
- 40:35Speaker 1: For having defense. Yeah, Well, Goldig's back. So Pete. Now
- 40:44Speaker 1: I don't remember which Goldie it is.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Pete still a Misissippi, and I don't think they spelled
- 40:49Speaker 2: them all right, So we both were both.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I mean, I knew coming into this season they were
- 40:57Speaker 1: doing with the what the Patriots had, and we've gotten
- 41:00Speaker 1: rid of all the wide receivers and then here you
- 41:02Speaker 1: come with a guy named Julian Edelman and Brian Thompson
- 41:06Speaker 1: I believe, or Brian something Thompson something Kelly. I remember,
- 41:10Speaker 1: he comes in with these brand new receivers. Gronk's all
- 41:13Speaker 1: he's got. Who's held over?
- 41:17Speaker 2: I think? I think though, the one thing you look
- 41:19Speaker 2: at the team and the matchups is if you take
- 41:22Speaker 2: those teams and you take I don't know the best
- 41:25Speaker 2: players you know on each team, and you take the
- 41:27Speaker 2: top five, Kansas City has got the best talent, but
- 41:32Speaker 2: it's like they're thin everywhere. I mean, I think that
- 41:36Speaker 2: Buffalo's got some debt.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I tell you right now. Even just stopping this guy,
- 41:40Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey is gonna be a heavy key to this game.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Well, Von Miller is gonna have to play out of
- 41:45Speaker 2: his mind and play younger than he's playing.
- 41:47Speaker 1: They're gonna have to watch where Kelsey's at every time.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Well, it's always gonna be the backup, the go to
- 41:55Speaker 2: when it doesn't go right the first.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Well, and you saw what happened in the Houston game.
- 41:59Speaker 1: They lost him and Mahomes is falling down. They think
- 42:03Speaker 1: they've got a sack, but he's throwing the ball before
- 42:05Speaker 1: he touches the ground.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Do you think Buffalo maybe tries to be way physical
- 42:12Speaker 2: with Mahomes early to try to know? I thought about
- 42:16Speaker 2: that because I thought Houston really was rattled after some
- 42:21Speaker 2: of those calls and was kind of fearful of touching him.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I kind of wonder if you start to see some
- 42:30Speaker 2: more physicality towards him, Sean Mcker. But no, no, just
- 42:35Speaker 2: from the defense, just to try to be early, to
- 42:38Speaker 2: try to get in mahomes head if you can. I mean,
- 42:41Speaker 2: I don't know if you can or not. But I
- 42:42Speaker 2: mean we've seen some bad play.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Late night nutab or ate nuttab well, I mean.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Something, yeah, something to get him a little rattled. I
- 42:53Speaker 2: don't know, or do they try that or or And
- 42:57Speaker 2: that's another thing is that's if Josh makes mistakes or
- 43:02Speaker 2: one mistake, he's got to come back and just they've
- 43:04Speaker 2: got to keep that game playing. I think Joe Brady
- 43:08Speaker 2: is really shown a lot as an offensive coordinator that
- 43:14Speaker 2: he reminded me a lot of when Brian Daball.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Was there of me.
- 43:19Speaker 2: You know that they missed the kendor.
- 43:21Speaker 1: You know that when the read all that, the only
- 43:23Speaker 1: reason why it reminds him of you is because you
- 43:25Speaker 1: played in NFL football with your song offensive.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Yes exactly, yes, coordinator, but forty eight and a half.
- 43:35Speaker 2: I took the over, you took the under. So we'll see.
- 43:38Speaker 2: It's at the it's at.
- 43:38Speaker 1: The It's five thirty in the evening men game.
- 43:42Speaker 2: In Kansas City, and that crowd's gonna be pumped and.
- 43:44Speaker 1: They'll have shirts off and there's no hot women there.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Did you read the story about no one selling folding
- 43:51Speaker 2: tables to people in Kansas City unless you had a
- 43:55Speaker 2: license for Missouri and then so the bill spopped you.
- 44:00Speaker 2: I guess somehow changed that up and got people to
- 44:03Speaker 2: buy it for it.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 44:05Speaker 2: It's just funny and it's and I don't even know
- 44:07Speaker 2: how true that was, to be honest, I just read it.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I just read it before you got into here, and I.
- 44:12Speaker 5: Was like, God, that's just that's what I would love
- 44:15Speaker 5: to go. Yes that I was gonna say, that would be.
- 44:19Speaker 5: That would just be, that would be. And it's gonna be.
- 44:22Speaker 2: They're gonna be closing highways and byways down up there
- 44:26Speaker 2: because that place is gonna be wrong. Because listen, if
- 44:30Speaker 2: we should if Buffalo loses this game, it's like losing
- 44:36Speaker 2: that fifth super Bowl, I promise you, because this is
- 44:42Speaker 2: kind of their super Bowl right now. Is because it's
- 44:45Speaker 2: the chief It's the Chiefs exactly, playoff Chiefs, playoff Chiefs.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Remember they lost one year to the Bengals.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Well, I think the Bengals turned around to beat the
- 44:54Speaker 2: Chiefs the same year though, if that's the same year, maybe, and.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Then uh, and then they have lost to Kansas City.
- 45:02Speaker 2: So I said, I mean, it's it's it's they've got
- 45:04Speaker 2: to do this this year.
- 45:06Speaker 1: It's it's gotta happen. This young mustachio gentleman needs to
- 45:11Speaker 1: be kerl with the frog.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I know I'm rooting for him.
- 45:14Speaker 1: I know.
- 45:15Speaker 2: We have a lot of Chiefs friends and a lot
- 45:16Speaker 2: of Chiefs fans around here. We have Chiefs, but we
- 45:20Speaker 2: are we are We're kind.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Of chief out, chief out.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I think a little bit very chief though.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I mean it was cool when they were losing and
- 45:29Speaker 1: they were kind of good. But and now that they're
- 45:34Speaker 1: good good, Uh, you gotta deal with all the chiefs idiots,
- 45:38Speaker 1: especially in this area, who didn't exist before, but now
- 45:42Speaker 1: they're out there.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Well, I don't think I don't. I don't think of
- 45:47Speaker 2: any other team right now that people want to win
- 45:51Speaker 2: and get over that hump. Then the Bills. I hate
- 45:54Speaker 2: the Browns. It's just exactly. Everybody hates the Browns, but
- 46:00Speaker 2: the Bills are a lovable team. You know, if you
- 46:03Speaker 2: lose to the Bills, if your team loses to the Bills,
- 46:06Speaker 2: no one goes. I hate them, sons of bitches. Everyone's like, okay,
- 46:10Speaker 2: you know, because the nineties are so over. You know,
- 46:14Speaker 2: half the fans of the Bills right now don't remember
- 46:16Speaker 2: those early nineties.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I was trying to remember that coach's name for because
- 46:21Speaker 1: I can remember Jim Kelly, the Buffalo.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Marv LEI.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Yes, I was trying so hard. The other can you remember?
- 46:30Speaker 1: Because you could just see every time they lost the
- 46:33Speaker 1: sadness in his face. He aged.
- 46:38Speaker 2: He went from one hundred to one hundred and twenty.
- 46:40Speaker 1: He went from ninety eight to one hundred thirty eight.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Well, Marv is still alive. He's ninety nine.
- 46:48Speaker 1: For freaking that picture.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Good for Marv.
- 46:53Speaker 1: What's he doing?
- 46:54Speaker 2: You know, it's no it's funny to look at them.
- 46:57Speaker 2: He was the head coach of the Chiefs from seventy
- 46:59Speaker 2: eight eight, which I did not know this now that
- 47:02Speaker 2: I'm reading this, But then he went.
- 47:05Speaker 1: From he was eighty four. He was the head coach of.
- 47:07Speaker 2: The Blitz, Yes, and then disappeared as head coach for
- 47:11Speaker 2: a while.
- 47:12Speaker 1: He just disappeared all together.
- 47:14Speaker 2: And then all of a sudden was like, oh ship, hey,
- 47:16Speaker 2: come come on.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Wow. He was an Ella woods Ellewhat's coach?
- 47:25Speaker 2: Started at Saint Louis Country Day School head coach, first
- 47:30Speaker 2: head coaching God was New Mexico.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Listen up, Chelsea Kindergarten. Kenny's coming for you.
- 47:36Speaker 2: I Am gonna start somewhere. But you know, probably that
- 47:41Speaker 2: guy was probably more of the motivator the you know
- 47:45Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 47:45Speaker 1: He he reminded me of who is that damn coach
- 47:48Speaker 1: at Kansas at k State, Oh Snyder Snyder. Him and
- 47:53Speaker 1: Snyder always looked the same to me, and they always
- 47:57Speaker 1: they reminded me of each other. I would be some
- 48:00Speaker 1: rise of Snyder hadn't coached for him at some point
- 48:03Speaker 1: the Snyder was that idiot coach that would just come
- 48:05Speaker 1: out of nowhere and beat you and you're like, how
- 48:07Speaker 1: how did how does that happen? Yeah? Where did you
- 48:09Speaker 1: come from? Snyder? So?
- 48:15Speaker 2: And they ran the no huddle. That's what made him popular.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And then after that it was party on for the Bills.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Because I pop you, I'm a quarter back.
- 48:24Speaker 2: All right, anything else I want to talk about the championship. Yeah,
- 48:28Speaker 2: that's good. We'll let this out. So well, I hate there.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Ohio Still, Ohio State is the champion of the Big
- 48:37Speaker 1: Ten and the sec Uh Texas uh won the damn
- 48:44Speaker 1: Arizona State game. They should have lost? Could should have? Uh?
- 48:50Speaker 1: As Cantabo is going to the NFL. What do you
- 48:52Speaker 1: got him? Uh? Third round? Second round?
- 48:56Speaker 2: Would yeah? Steal in this second still?
- 48:59Speaker 1: Like I think just like Danny Statesman.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like he's gonna fall to think.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Yeah, They've got all these guys that are gonna come out,
- 49:08Speaker 1: and I'm like I'm looking at him, going that guy's
- 49:10Speaker 1: not better than him, and that guy's not better than him.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Well, I think a lot of it. Half of it
- 49:14Speaker 2: right now is a lot of talent.
- 49:16Speaker 1: And and as much as as much as Chicago needs
- 49:19Speaker 1: to fix their edge. Uh qute time Williams has been
- 49:24Speaker 1: hanging out with Ashton Genty. I told you that might
- 49:27Speaker 1: end up being there. Yeah, because he might be trying
- 49:31Speaker 1: to think Dallas tries to him. But we have to
- 49:35Speaker 1: pick before Dallas. That's what I'm saying. So, uh yeah,
- 49:41Speaker 1: Ohio State.
- 49:42Speaker 2: But gent Jamiir Gibbs, No, No, think I might be No,
- 49:48Speaker 2: he's just bigger later.
- 49:50Speaker 1: But I'm saying I think I think Scannaby.
- 49:52Speaker 2: So when you really look at and it's it's it
- 49:54Speaker 2: was great for Notre Dame. They have the easiest row
- 49:56Speaker 2: to get there.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I believe we said that Notre Dame was coming to
- 50:00Speaker 1: whoever held the ball last for that game because that
- 50:02Speaker 1: was going to be the closest game.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Well, Notre Dame beating Georgia was impressive. Once they beat them,
- 50:08Speaker 2: we knew they were in the championship. Was it even
- 50:10Speaker 2: though we picked Penn State. We did pick Penn State
- 50:12Speaker 2: to win, but Penn State very easily could have won.
- 50:15Speaker 1: And like I said, the thing I think there was
- 50:19Speaker 1: I think there was a conversation of who holds the
- 50:21Speaker 1: ball last in that game could win that game, that
- 50:24Speaker 1: Penn State Notre Dame game. Yeah game, Now, Notre Dame
- 50:29Speaker 1: beating Georgia was not that big of a surprise because
- 50:32Speaker 1: you got to remember Georgia was shipping the.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Bed backup quarterback played that game though too, not that
- 50:37Speaker 2: I think beck is great, but it was a backup.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Court Georgia and that kid went for money into miamifriends there. Yeah,
- 50:44Speaker 1: they think he's somebody and he's not. He's just it
- 50:47Speaker 1: looks like his kid and need to be replaced at
- 50:50Speaker 1: least one something. He's dying.
- 50:53Speaker 2: But they played Indiana. They played a backup quarterback at Georgia.
- 50:56Speaker 2: They played a Penn State team that never can win
- 50:58Speaker 2: a big game. And then you turn around and you
- 51:01Speaker 2: look at Ohio State, who played Tennessee, which I thought
- 51:04Speaker 2: was one of the best offensive teams in the nation.
- 51:08Speaker 2: They heeled them to seventeen points. They turned around and
- 51:10Speaker 2: played number one organ They played that one did the
- 51:13Speaker 2: number one? That one didn't surprise me, though I didn't
- 51:16Speaker 2: I never thought one.
- 51:18Speaker 1: You don't take the forty one twice.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Surprise surprised me. But the win did not surprise me.
- 51:23Speaker 2: And I think the domination of Texas. Uh was was
- 51:27Speaker 2: just going to be what it was. Texas kept it
- 51:29Speaker 2: within two scores.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Do you realize that that after that game, there was
- 51:34Speaker 1: so much speculation of Quinn years Is coming back for
- 51:37Speaker 1: his fifth year.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Well, and I think everyone was like please please no.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Now, I thought I thought the playoff. For anybody that
- 51:45Speaker 2: wants to say that it was, it was bad. I
- 51:47Speaker 2: thought I enjoyed it. I thought the playoff was great.
- 51:50Speaker 2: I think they need to change how it is.
- 51:52Speaker 1: No change the scene. It's fun. I don't I don't
- 51:55Speaker 1: like totally fun.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I don't like that Penn State, all right, I'm sorry.
- 51:58Speaker 2: I don't like that Boise got so high just because
- 52:03Speaker 2: they won that division as the non whatever power five.
- 52:07Speaker 1: I think, but they weren't. Technically, they weren't supposed to
- 52:10Speaker 1: have it.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they were, That's how they were slotted.
- 52:13Speaker 1: No, it was supposed to be the way that they
- 52:16Speaker 1: had looked at it. It was supposed to be a big
- 52:18Speaker 1: ten sec, big twelve acc It's supposed to be that
- 52:25Speaker 1: those four teams were supposed to have those first Yeah.
- 52:27Speaker 2: But they only had a few more losses and that's
- 52:29Speaker 2: why they got moved.
- 52:30Speaker 1: They got it, But that's that I don't.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Think that's how that should work. What they need to do.
- 52:34Speaker 1: So you said that they need to be stuck in
- 52:36Speaker 1: like a Notre dame and say played no, no, no, no no.
- 52:38Speaker 2: I think they need to take.
- 52:39Speaker 1: You no, that they could never get out by and
- 52:42Speaker 1: that I don't.
- 52:42Speaker 2: I'm okay with that because they don't have to play
- 52:45Speaker 2: a championship.
- 52:45Speaker 1: They have more money.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Well that's if they win.
- 52:49Speaker 1: That's okay, they're just gonna do.
- 52:51Speaker 2: I think they take the top twelve teams and they
- 52:54Speaker 2: see them. However that committee feels their best from one
- 52:58Speaker 2: to twelve to sixteen next year, I think there's a
- 53:02Speaker 2: I don't think it's yeah, and I think it could
- 53:03Speaker 2: be to fourteen and then a sixteen or next year anyway.
- 53:06Speaker 2: But no, I'm just saying, take the top twelve teams
- 53:08Speaker 2: as your committee, and you see them however you feel it.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Don't give me these fucking parameters that the conference champions
- 53:16Speaker 2: have to be one through four and then every at
- 53:19Speaker 2: large is behind you. Well, that's bullshit because you know
- 53:22Speaker 2: as well as I do that there could be a
- 53:25Speaker 2: four loss Big twelve champion team because of the amount,
- 53:29Speaker 2: and they win it and they're going to be set
- 53:31Speaker 2: up at some time behind a two loss SEC team
- 53:35Speaker 2: that never made it to the championship because the other
- 53:37Speaker 2: two teams had two losses.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Now here's a deal that BC did talk about before
- 53:44Speaker 1: they're they named their champion. They're going to have a
- 53:47Speaker 1: mini playoffs. They're looking into that, taking the top four
- 53:53Speaker 1: teams and making them play that that bye week and
- 53:58Speaker 1: then got into them.
- 53:59Speaker 2: But that one dipshit also suggested that they were going
- 54:02Speaker 2: to hold their acc first seed out, make them play
- 54:06Speaker 2: the champion and make number two and number three play.
- 54:11Speaker 2: And it's like, because you know, because you know, you
- 54:13Speaker 2: you know you'd get number one in you know, really high.
- 54:17Speaker 2: And it's like, well what and that's the problem and
- 54:20Speaker 2: what you do in all this this this rigam aurar bullshit,
- 54:24Speaker 2: rigam as. You're just trying to circumvent ways to not
- 54:28Speaker 2: play tough opponents. And that's why boys should have never
- 54:33Speaker 2: been ranked the third seeds.
- 54:35Speaker 1: The toughest opponent they played all season.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Was Orgon and they lost and and Oregon lost their
- 54:40Speaker 2: first game badly in the playoffs. Yes, that's what I'm saying.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Didn't I tell you that the OU won everything in
- 54:49Speaker 1: this totals?
- 54:51Speaker 2: Oh? I didn't know that.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Yeah, they had the eight and a half point spread.
- 54:54Speaker 1: They covered that, they covered the forty four and a
- 54:56Speaker 1: half over and they h and they got the four
- 55:01Speaker 1: hundred four the money.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Then it was the best team. I mean, you talk
- 55:05Speaker 2: about offensively, just a wonderful And I'm gonna have to
- 55:09Speaker 2: get you some formula to your never. I'm gonna keep
- 55:13Speaker 2: the was gonna try, was gonna try, and I'm gonna
- 55:17Speaker 2: keep the long goat.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I was gonna try to do Ryan Day, but I
- 55:20Speaker 1: can't because I don't have the old man eyes, is it?
- 55:23Speaker 2: No, they're tight eyes. That's not old man eyes. You
- 55:26Speaker 2: have old man eyes. He's had had, he's had tightened ice.
- 55:30Speaker 1: You have the eyes of a grid.
- 55:32Speaker 2: That's what I was gonna say, get my right and
- 55:34Speaker 2: day eyes right here.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Fu. So if I just go and get the grease
- 55:38Speaker 1: and just all black and just the hair and be
- 55:42Speaker 1: like I'm a champion, will Leonard God bless that child?
- 55:47Speaker 2: You know, twenty eight or I'm sorry, twenty one to
- 55:49Speaker 2: seven and a half. You know it didn't it felt
- 55:54Speaker 2: like it could have got closed. Well, you made it exciting.
- 55:57Speaker 1: You canna remember Notre Dame took the majority of the
- 56:04Speaker 1: time off in the first quarter. What are you digging?
- 56:08Speaker 1: But they took the majority of the time off in
- 56:10Speaker 1: the first quarter. Was that was a nine minute drive?
- 56:13Speaker 1: Nine minute eighteen drive?
- 56:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and seven nh and Aaron's like, oh shit, here
- 56:17Speaker 2: we go. And then Ohio State It's like, no, no,
- 56:21Speaker 2: I'm not gonna happen.
- 56:22Speaker 1: But Will Howard, this kid should never have won a
- 56:26Speaker 1: national title. He is. We watched him at Kansas State.
- 56:33Speaker 2: It's just he's smart. He was smart at Kansas State.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I thought, out of these two, who do you think
- 56:38Speaker 1: is gonna make it in the NFL? Will Howard and
- 56:41Speaker 1: Riley Leonard? Who do you think is gonna go deeper?
- 56:45Speaker 2: I wouldn't pick either one of them. I honestly think
- 56:49Speaker 2: Will Howard would. And the only reason I say that
- 56:52Speaker 2: he reminds me a little bit of a Colt McCoy.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Your hand.
- 56:55Speaker 2: What is that other guy that played at Missouri for
- 56:57Speaker 2: Chase Daniel. That's who he reminds me. You have? He
- 57:00Speaker 2: throws better than yes, have a better career. Will Howard?
- 57:11Speaker 2: Do you think we'll never will be a starter but
- 57:13Speaker 2: could hang around?
- 57:14Speaker 1: I would.
- 57:16Speaker 2: I think he's a horrible thrower myself.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, but you know there's those times that they
- 57:21Speaker 1: need those backups that just run and run and run.
- 57:24Speaker 2: And I thought Will Howard threw better. But I mean
- 57:25Speaker 2: you also got the best wide receiving class and you
- 57:28Speaker 2: know the whole nation.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Your oline came together at the perfect time.
- 57:32Speaker 2: And that defense, I know, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, Jamie, Jimmy,
- 57:38Speaker 2: Jim let us down. Know you you could be the
- 57:42Speaker 2: first interview on the sports allegedly once you take the job.
- 57:45Speaker 2: I mean, we're here for you.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I'll go up there.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Don't take Penn State because they just got rid of
- 57:53Speaker 2: you know, Tom Allen left that and he's really good
- 57:55Speaker 2: and he went to Clemson. Why do you leave Penn State.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Because you're hanging out with James Frank going all day?
- 58:00Speaker 2: Why do you leave Ohio State gym? Knowles, there's been
- 58:04Speaker 2: taught because there's a reason.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Do you think he's doing Ryan Day's wife? No?
- 58:09Speaker 2: I just I think there's a drama.
- 58:10Speaker 1: I just think there's should I do Ryan Day's I
- 58:13Speaker 1: don't know who Ryan Day's wife is, but probably not.
- 58:16Speaker 2: No, I'm sure she's attractive.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Let's look it up. He couldn't coach.
- 58:24Speaker 2: We looked up early at his wife, Like, no, I
- 58:31Speaker 2: just it's odd that the whole search because I think
- 58:34Speaker 2: there is something.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Oh what kind of name is that?
- 58:42Speaker 2: Christina Biro?
- 58:44Speaker 1: Is you not the name of the dragon that you
- 58:46Speaker 1: played on the PlayStation? Yeah, spiral at the Dragon.
- 58:50Speaker 6: I've never no, never played it. I never, you don't
- 58:54Speaker 6: play games, just in my normal life. Look at the
- 59:00Speaker 6: creeper face that he's got.
- 59:02Speaker 1: It'll be.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that guy does get a lot of grief and
- 59:07Speaker 2: he's a health coach.
- 59:09Speaker 1: I remember he took over for dumbass.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean what a follow up that is?
- 59:14Speaker 1: You know? Oh, she's first lady of O High State football.
- 59:20Speaker 2: All right, well anything else?
- 59:22Speaker 1: Uh? No, I just I did finally realize why Kirk
- 59:25Speaker 1: Herbstreet has that stupid dog with him all the time.
- 59:28Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, because his other dog died.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Oh no, it's a companionship for the road. Oh he's allowed,
- 59:35Speaker 1: he's allowed to take it anyway. And I'm like, why
- 59:37Speaker 1: does he have a dog. So it's just him and
- 59:40Speaker 1: the dog in the hotel room and night.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Well, they do videos and stuff, and I think it's
- 59:45Speaker 2: the pups now because the original.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Dog died or the Goldie. I don't know. I just
- 59:53Speaker 1: think it's creepy. Uh.
- 59:56Speaker 2: It's been a story on itself for sure.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, what do we have for rumors? Oh, I'm
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: beside the Jim Knowles.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: No, the coaching rooms are nuts.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Let's just touch on some rumors.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: One thing I want to talk about is Dallas Cowboy fans.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: I apologize that you said you hired Brydon Shottenheimer. Today
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: you're offensive coordinator, and you every every fan went, he's
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: on our teas a coach on our team. Now. I
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: guarantee you ninety percent of Cowboys fans didn't know he
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: coached on that team right now, And the other fifty
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: percent went, who is that guy? And the thirty percent
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: who knew him didn't really know him, but they think,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: is that Marty's boy because we remember him from the Chiefs. Yeah, bad,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: bad and bad.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: You don't remember there was the Schottenheimer curse. You could
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: make it all the way through the playoffs, but you
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: could never make it to the super Bowl.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: All right, exactly.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: And his dad was a great coach, super one of
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the beasts, and just could never were Maybe remember he
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: had Philip Rivers early in Philip rivers career and made
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Philip Rivers look really good and and Philip Rivers just
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: couldn't get it, couldn't get out of his own way.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: See there's the Bengals coach just landed at the Colts,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: and see how I liked him and I thought they
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: fired him was bullshit? Yes, yes, that guy had had
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: a couple of coaching head coaching interviews.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Well because they had Pete al Golden.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: No, I think that was just that was a scapegoat
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: for that was the first escapegoat.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Are you saying, Taylor escapegoat? Just scapegoat? Skate, just skate,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: not escape like the escape goat. What's up of this?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Chim Kelly looking at uh lead offensive coordinator in the NFL. Yep,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: he looks like my dad, no neck, just tons of fun.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Why would he leave Ohio State? It's his buddy. They
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: just want a championship? Isn't everything raided Ohio State?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Well, like I said, there was a there was a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: there was a report that backstage that Ryan Dad gotten
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: into it with somebody. I think one of the I
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: think Smith might have been involved with it too.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: The wide receiver.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Yeah, then we got Liam Cohen.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Bye, thanks thanks by fired in two years, but you will.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: He's upset that he's losing another off to the coordinator.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: And this guy got well bakery, I got a gu
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: fired baker.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Mayfield is a he did, which that jams a dipshit too.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: But I mean, if you're paying Liam Cone twelve million
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: a year, that's pure desperation. And what that tells you
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: about paying him that much a year means the the
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: rope is much shorter.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well CON's got that. CON's got a lot
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: of money.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: He does because he's an idiot.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: He's probably the Browns not as dumb as the Browns ownership.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: But well, hold on, now, hold on, hold on. At
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: least that at least the people they've hired in their
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: general manager spots have stayed. I think it's they're more dumb,
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: and they're more.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Dumb for keeping.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: But I think Shaw just wants to run everything, so
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: that's why he's even dumber. I think he's the worst
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: owner for a.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Minute, and then came back. I think whenever, whenever Block
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: was there, that he stepped away, he's a hundred percent
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: the worst owner to work for in the league. No,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: that's Carolina, No he's not.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: That's a new owner.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Now that guy's that dude threw beer on people.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: I think he's new. I think this shot is the
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: It's funny that the expansion teams of the Carolina and
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Jacksonville that came together are probably the two most idiot
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: owners and they're different from the original.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, you know, Oh you saw Ben Johnson was
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: allegedly looking at uh. I believe. Yeah. So we have
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: David Shaw from Stanford as his off as a coordinator
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: and he was looking at an ex packer to come
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: in as d as linebackers coach.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: I believe I know that that. Gosh, what's the uhm
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: rear H.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Randall?
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: No, the wide receiver coach for the Detroit Lions. God
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: damn it, they just signed he followed him. He's got
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: that he used to play for the Steelers.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I believe Randall Cunningham Randall, shifter.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: I gotta find that, dude.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: What is that out of the paper in there?
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: There we go Antoine Randall le I knew he had
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: a anyway.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: He's going to Okay, that was nothing that he's going to.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: I know he had a funny last name.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: He was going to Randall.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: It said two name last names, just kind of mant hell, Okay,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: anyway he's going. He's following Ben Johnson.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: There. Oh that's nice. He's a good coach. He was
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: a good player too, so he was I hated the guy.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Oh uh, Salah Sala's back with the Niners. Raiders are
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: looking at Pete Carroll.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Raiders hired Pete Carroll.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Well you remember, you remember that Pete carrolln and Jim
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Harmal had that big to do.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Oh, the f C West gonna be great. An f
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: C West is now Pete Carroll, Pete Carroll, you got
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Andy Reid, You've got Sean Payton and who am I missing? Yes? Yes,
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: so you had a great class. All this coaches, All.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: These guys are x NFC coaches. The NFC was good, man.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: They will come.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Over Eagles, forty nine Ers, Seattle and Saints.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: There you go, look at the look at the all right.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: So that's our fun Bobby Slow it got fired from
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Arizona or Houston offensive coordinator. That guy was hot commodity
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: last year and head coaching jobs didn't get any but
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: they fired him this year after slow start funny. They
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: beat the Chargers and killed them offensively, and then probably
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: could have should have beat the the Chiefs and and
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: they got fired. Makes you wonder what that move is
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: going to be there, if not somebody's already mentioned to
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: go in that position, because he was fired pretty pretty quick. Yeah,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: and and I don't think Demico Ryans by any means
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: is on the hot seat with all the injuries he had.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: They won the division again this year.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: So well, yeah, because his first two seasons, he's taking
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: his team to the playoffs, especially with a rookie quarterback,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: and then went back in the sophomore year. Granted, your
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: division did get easy. Granted your granted your division did
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: get easier because there was a huge flalloff with talent
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: and and wins there. But at the same time, you
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: went two years in a row, especially with uh, your
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: rookie sophomore quarterback. So what does that say about the
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: team that he's put together? Get an update for.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Oh my word, I didn't even hit schedule, just go, oh,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: we watched. That's a good win. Arkansas has not had
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: a good year, but that's a good That's a not
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: a bad loss. It's what you would call that. If
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Oklahoma would have had that, that would have been a
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: bad loss. So good win. That's SE's first SEC road
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: victory second and road or road victory road ricktor B
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: will be all right, thank you all for joining us.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Next week, yeah, Thursday, Friday, and we'll preview a lot
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: of the coaching changes final and we'll find a law
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: of that, and then Super Bowl.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess that's it for next week UFL.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Because then we'll we'll have another podcast before the actual suit.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Maybe what's going on in gymnastics?
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Oh good again? All right, all right, thank you, I'll
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: love you.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: M
