- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the Rogue Recap. Hot takes, cold facts, and
- 0:05Speaker 1: zero respect for the official narrative. Sit back, roll your eyes,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and let's recap Rogue Style.
- 0:29Speaker 2: What's up, guys? Welcome to Sound Bites episode. I don't
- 0:32Speaker 2: know anymore, and I'm not counting because I'm tired of
- 0:35Speaker 2: doing it, so you're welcome, America.
- 0:37Speaker 3: It's 19. It's 19. See?
- 0:40Speaker 2: That was a test, and you passed. You're welcome.
- 0:42Speaker 4: See?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Because I always have to say it, and I'm tired
- 0:44Speaker 2: of keeping count. This is a one-sided relationship, and I
- 0:46Speaker 2: don't like it, all right? You got to haul your
- 0:48Speaker 2: own weight here in this show.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Okay, Mr. Eggers? You obviously don't understand how most of
- 0:52Speaker 3: my relationships work, Linda, but sure. I get it.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Welcome to the show, everybody. Obviously, I am the host
- 0:59Speaker 2: of Rogue Recap, Linda McLaughlin. This is Eric Eggers. We're
- 1:02Speaker 2: here for Sound Bites 19. And if you're watching the news,
- 1:06Speaker 2: and I'm sure you are because you're listening to this show,
- 1:08Speaker 2: you know that everybody's lost their mind even worse than
- 1:10Speaker 2: it was last week. And I assume it's going to
- 1:12Speaker 2: get worse and worse because of the fact that we're
- 1:14Speaker 2: heading into midterm season. We're going to have even more
- 1:17Speaker 2: assholes to talk about. But we've got some choice individuals
- 1:21Speaker 2: for today, Mr.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Eggers.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I think we're going to lead with our dumbass of dumbasses.
- 1:28Speaker 2: He's actually a protester from January. But for those of
- 1:30Speaker 2: you not aware, there is a protest this Friday. Already,
- 1:35Speaker 2: the education department has our kids protesting ICE and DHS
- 1:40Speaker 2: on Friday.
- 1:41Speaker 3: So what I think is great about this clip is
- 1:44Speaker 3: it reminds like the northern elites, you coach the elites
- 1:48Speaker 3: of which, like I'm not saying Linda is one, but
- 1:50Speaker 3: she works among them. And I think their biggest surprise
- 1:53Speaker 3: from this is like, wait, school started? Because nothing actually,
- 1:58Speaker 3: it's still summertime. People are still at the Hamptons or
- 2:01Speaker 3: at Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket until after this weekend after
- 2:04Speaker 3: Labor Day. So I think they're surprised to find out
- 2:07Speaker 3: that the peasants among us, you know, the working class,
- 2:10Speaker 3: we've been slaving away in the coal mines of education
- 2:13Speaker 3: for the last few weeks.
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's weird, too, because the way we do it up
- 2:16Speaker 2: here is we let the kids go back and then
- 2:19Speaker 2: we give them a few days off just to tease them.
- 2:22Speaker 2: And then we send them back again. So like my
- 2:24Speaker 2: youngest is like, what do we do? I'm like, I
- 2:27Speaker 2: really don't have an answer for you. When I was
- 2:28Speaker 2: a kid, we went to school after Labor Day. That
- 2:30Speaker 2: was the rule. Now they start. I think they actually
- 2:32Speaker 2: start because they want to end earlier. So I don't really,
- 2:35Speaker 2: you know, I'm not in education, but that's my understanding
- 2:38Speaker 2: from my friends that teach. Like, well, the sooner we start,
- 2:40Speaker 2: the sooner we end. And if we don't take snow
- 2:42Speaker 2: days and.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yada, yada, yada. I'm like, all right. Well, maybe if
- 2:44Speaker 3: you were in education, you would have more empathy and
- 2:46Speaker 3: sympathy for the plight of these illegals who are mercilessly
- 2:50Speaker 3: and savagely attacked by these ICE agents, which is why
- 2:52Speaker 3: it's basically the new civil rights movement. It's like 1968
- 2:55Speaker 3: all over again. So that's why the students are getting involved.
- 2:59Speaker 2: So this, I'm going to read from this. So there's
- 3:02Speaker 2: over 70 schools that are reportedly planning to participate in
- 3:07Speaker 2: the anti-ICE walkout for this Friday, September 4th. And they
- 3:12Speaker 2: are already brainwashing the kids. It's a big It's specifically
- 3:16Speaker 2: in Colorado. That's the lead. I'm not surprised, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 2: the drug den of America. So Colorado statewide walkout students
- 3:23Speaker 2: say ice out. And you know, all the kids got
- 3:26Speaker 2: the fist in the air, you know, I mean, just
- 3:28Speaker 2: complete morons. But here's the sad part. There's two parts
- 3:31Speaker 2: to this. And then as we set up this cut,
- 3:33Speaker 2: the cut we're going to play for you is from January.
- 3:36Speaker 2: But the issue that I have here is the parents, right?
- 3:38Speaker 2: So like for me, When my kids started high school
- 3:43Speaker 2: and my youngest guy just started sixth grade, we talked
- 3:46Speaker 2: about everything. I knew the books that were assigned over
- 3:49Speaker 2: the summer. I knew what they were reading in English.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I went to every parent-teacher meeting. I have one tonight.
- 3:54Speaker 2: We're recording this on Wednesday, September 2nd. I'm in there.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'm like, let me see the library. What are you
- 3:59Speaker 2: guys reading? Do I feel comfortable with the flags that
- 4:02Speaker 2: I see hanging? I was that person. And so these parents...
- 4:08Speaker 2: Are they aware that on Friday, now a lot of
- 4:10Speaker 2: schools are observing holiday on Friday because of Labor Day
- 4:14Speaker 2: on Monday, which I don't actually understand. My kid's one
- 4:16Speaker 2: of them. He's getting Friday off and Monday off. I'm like,
- 4:19Speaker 2: I don't know. Anyhow, but so I'm wondering, do they
- 4:22Speaker 2: have the day off and then they're saying to these kids,
- 4:24Speaker 2: you're allowed to protest or is this a school day
- 4:26Speaker 2: for all of them in Colorado? Regardless, it is total indoctrination.
- 4:31Speaker 2: These kids are literally being put in a room going, well,
- 4:34Speaker 2: everybody's marching. So are you going to be the only
- 4:37Speaker 2: one that doesn't? It is such bullying and so much
- 4:40Speaker 2: pressure for these kids.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Well, let me tell you where they're not doing it
- 4:44Speaker 3: is in Florida, right? Because Papa DeSantis don't play that.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Our education commissioner doesn't play that. And so I do
- 4:50Speaker 3: think it's telling the states that are participating. You might
- 4:52Speaker 3: expect it in California. You might expect it in Colorado.
- 4:55Speaker 3: But I don't think you're seeing it in these states
- 4:56Speaker 3: where they have like common sense in education.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And just take a listen to this kid. Now, this
- 5:00Speaker 2: kid was from the walkouts they were doing in January
- 5:02Speaker 2: from the last school year. But he is a skinny
- 5:06Speaker 2: white kid. You know, standing there, this, I honestly, I
- 5:10Speaker 2: want to just punch him in the face so he
- 5:12Speaker 2: can feel some pain and have something to complain about.
- 5:14Speaker 5: The real gang members are the white supremacists in the
- 5:19Speaker 5: Department of Homeland Security. Thawing masks as they kidnap my
- 5:26Speaker 5: neighbors in unmarked vans. And no immigrant has ever stolen
- 5:31Speaker 5: my loved ones. We sit in the heart of this
- 5:37Speaker 5: evil empire, a wretched machine seeking only to shoot and
- 5:42Speaker 5: to explode. But this machine can only devour us as
- 5:47Speaker 5: long as we let it. My friends, get organized, stay militant,
- 5:52Speaker 5: and let us make the working class one dangerous force
- 5:55Speaker 5: to oppress.
- 5:58Speaker 2: So, aside from the voice crack that allows us to
- 6:01Speaker 2: fully understand that he's 14 years old.
- 6:04Speaker 3: It's like a South Park episode. It's so great.
- 6:06Speaker 2: God, you just make it easy, buddy, you know? And
- 6:09Speaker 2: here's the other thing. Tell me how you feel about
- 6:11Speaker 2: this and tell me if you think I'm wrong. I
- 6:14Speaker 2: often feel that when you're really passionate about something, you
- 6:18Speaker 2: don't need a notepad. You don't need to write down
- 6:21Speaker 2: your thoughts. Your thoughts come easily for two reasons. Number one,
- 6:25Speaker 2: you're telling the truth. And number two, you're informed enough
- 6:29Speaker 2: on the topic to speak from it from top of mind.
- 6:32Speaker 2: You don't need a list of what to say. He's
- 6:34Speaker 2: not even saying anything that profound. I'm like, you couldn't
- 6:37Speaker 2: just say that, that you needed notes?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Well, as you noted, he is 14. And so who
- 6:43Speaker 3: knows what's on the list? You know what I'm saying?
- 6:45Speaker 3: It could have been like all the memes and vibes, bro.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I mean, it could have just been like- A smiley face.
- 6:52Speaker 3: His buddy's on Snapchat.
- 6:53Speaker 2: You can do it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 6:57Speaker 3: But here's the irony is he's having this, you know,
- 7:01Speaker 3: kind of the speech and they're having this protest. But
- 7:03Speaker 3: the thing he said is like no immigrant has ever
- 7:05Speaker 3: hurt one of my loved ones, which is ironic because
- 7:09Speaker 3: literally this week we had hearings happening. So I would
- 7:13Speaker 3: just say the two things that stand out. Number one
- 7:16Speaker 3: is he's calling the people of ICE white supremacists. And
- 7:18Speaker 3: it reminds me of one of the clips you played
- 7:19Speaker 3: before when they were like cheering that somebody was leaving
- 7:24Speaker 3: and they're actually employees, you know. And so they're like,
- 7:27Speaker 3: you're racist. They're not white.
- 7:29Speaker 2: They were like Mexican.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I know.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I think the one guy was Mexican. The other guy was,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I forget what his nationality was, but they were both like,
- 7:36Speaker 2: they were like, bro, we work here.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Like don't assume because we're Brown that we don't work here. Like,
- 7:41Speaker 2: you know, who's the racist now? And it's always the same.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It's like these white old boomers. It's like they went
- 7:49Speaker 2: into all the retirement communities. They were like, yo, are
- 7:51Speaker 2: you bored? Are you lonely? Come be friends with us.
- 7:54Speaker 2: You know, I mean, what is going on?
- 7:56Speaker 3: That's a welcome to the no Kings rally. A hundred percent.
- 7:59Speaker 3: That's what it is. Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 2: A hundred percent. When I went to the No Kings
- 8:02Speaker 2: rally to protest the protesters, what was funny about it
- 8:05Speaker 2: was that they were like, everybody was older than my grandma.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And I was like, God, I was always told to,
- 8:10Speaker 2: you know, be respectful to my elders. But I think
- 8:12Speaker 2: I'm going to have to take a few of these
- 8:14Speaker 2: grannies out. I'm like, I'm sorry. Like the time has come.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It's arrived. But all seriousness. So this kid's a moron.
- 8:21Speaker 2: He's saying that no illegal has ever hurt anyone I loved.
- 8:24Speaker 2: And so there's a reason that the expression angel family,
- 8:28Speaker 2: it exists now. for the reason that so many people
- 8:31Speaker 2: have suffered at the hands of illegal immigrants taking away
- 8:34Speaker 2: loved ones. And so just yesterday, before the House Judiciary Subcommittee,
- 8:41Speaker 2: we had several families appear. And what they're trying to
- 8:45Speaker 2: do is they're trying to get these blue states to
- 8:47Speaker 2: look at their sanctuary laws and their sanctuary policies. In specific,
- 8:52Speaker 2: Marcus Coleman, who was at the State of the Union
- 8:54Speaker 2: last year, his daughter Delilah, five years old, Short of
- 8:59Speaker 2: a very long story, she was hit by a tractor trailer.
- 9:02Speaker 2: The guy came in in 22 under Joe Biden, gets
- 9:06Speaker 2: an illegal driver's license and a CDL from the state
- 9:09Speaker 2: of California, comes across, hits her in a moving vehicle.
- 9:13Speaker 2: She's airlifted out of the vehicle. She's in the hospital
- 9:15Speaker 2: six months. They removed a part of her skull for
- 9:18Speaker 2: four months. She now has palsy and debilitating diseases for
- 9:24Speaker 2: the rest of her life. And all of these injuries
- 9:26Speaker 2: brought on by this man. Who should have never been here?
- 9:30Speaker 2: Never got a phone call. Never got a we are
- 9:33Speaker 2: so sorry. No accountability at all. So this guy goes before,
- 9:37Speaker 2: you know, the House panel yesterday. Of course, you know,
- 9:40Speaker 2: Jaya Paul's there in all her glory. You know, it's
- 9:42Speaker 2: very you remember what she said during the Sheridan Gorman hearing.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I mean, I just like we have better things to do.
- 9:48Speaker 2: This is my third one of these. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Is someone's child dying not worthy of your time? I
- 9:54Speaker 2: thought you were a public servant. But he puts it
- 9:57Speaker 2: very clearly, you know, and actually to my point, that
- 10:00Speaker 2: I said earlier, he had this whole prepared statement. And
- 10:03Speaker 2: as he's about to start, he's like, I can't even
- 10:04Speaker 2: read this because you guys don't care.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I think that these hearings do another thing, too, or
- 10:11Speaker 3: at least they they have a goal of doing something
- 10:13Speaker 3: that doesn't happen without them, which is to get the
- 10:15Speaker 3: mainstream media, regular media to do stories on the fact
- 10:18Speaker 3: that these families exist. I think that's because, because all
- 10:22Speaker 3: the coverage has been about ice and it's been about
- 10:25Speaker 3: any negative, you know, interactions with regular citizens, but what,
- 10:28Speaker 3: what they have lost sight of is the fact that
- 10:31Speaker 3: like ice got deployed for a reason because you'd have
- 10:34Speaker 3: so many of these stories. And I actually give, Mark
- 10:37Speaker 3: Halperin-Cready has been talking about this for over a year, said, listen,
- 10:39Speaker 3: the media, if they were interested in trying to be
- 10:41Speaker 3: more balanced and have customers on both sides of the
- 10:44Speaker 3: political spectrum, then they would tell stories like this. Because
- 10:47Speaker 3: stories like this are in truth, I think, why Donald
- 10:49Speaker 3: Trump won re-election.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And I think, too, and then we'll play this clip
- 10:53Speaker 2: of Marcus Coleman and his daughter Delilah. You know, Marcus
- 10:56Speaker 2: has been trying to move forward with this bill, Delilah's Law.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It doesn't even go after illegal immigration. It just goes
- 11:03Speaker 2: after not giving out specifically CDL licenses to people who
- 11:08Speaker 2: are here illegally, cannot show proof of citizenship from driving
- 11:12Speaker 2: a fricking tractor trailer when they can't read the damn signs.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I mean, that is a moving weapon, period, end of sentence.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And if you are issuing CDLs to people who cannot
- 11:22Speaker 2: read the language and cannot follow the traffic laws, you
- 11:26Speaker 2: should be held as an accomplice. You are literally aiding
- 11:29Speaker 2: and abetting, period, end of sentence. But here he is
- 11:32Speaker 2: really kind of giving it to them, which I can appreciate.
- 11:38Speaker 6: I reject your guys' sympathy, to be honest with you.
- 11:40Speaker 6: There's no way you guys are sorry. Not one of
- 11:43Speaker 6: you guys have ever called me. Not one of you
- 11:44Speaker 6: guys have ever reached out to me. Not one of
- 11:46Speaker 6: you guys have ever sat there and seen me in
- 11:48Speaker 6: the hallways and said, hey, sorry about your daughter. You
- 11:50Speaker 6: guys do it right here while you guys are grandstanding
- 11:52Speaker 6: on top of your soapbox. This is when you guys care.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Right here inside this room is the only time you
- 11:57Speaker 6: guys care.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I mean, so sad. And his little girl was in
- 12:02Speaker 2: the room with him. So it's like, here's my daughter.
- 12:05Speaker 2: She is now physically disabled because of your policies and
- 12:10Speaker 2: your inability to see past all of your agenda items
- 12:14Speaker 2: to help a kid.
- 12:16Speaker 3: It's crazy, too. I mean, we talked about the whole
- 12:18Speaker 3: Stop Nick Shirley Act thing last week. But remember, the
- 12:20Speaker 3: Stop Nick Shirley Act was meant specifically to protect people
- 12:23Speaker 3: who might be caring for immigrants, even illegal immigrants. So
- 12:27Speaker 3: I do think it's unfortunately part of a larger pattern.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Why can't anybody in that room do anything to say,
- 12:32Speaker 3: you know what? You're right. It's dangerous for us to
- 12:35Speaker 3: have people in this country who can't read or write
- 12:39Speaker 3: operating something that requires literacy to follow the rules, et cetera.
- 12:43Speaker 3: But it goes against this protected class that's so important
- 12:47Speaker 3: to the constituents. So that's why you see moments like that.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And I think these kids who are walking out, right,
- 12:53Speaker 2: on the 4th, I would love for one teacher, one
- 12:58Speaker 2: of them, to have the bulls. Because I know there's
- 13:01Speaker 2: somebody in that mix that thinks like us. There's somebody
- 13:03Speaker 2: in that mix that doesn't agree with the go along,
- 13:06Speaker 2: get along crowd and is like, this is wrong. Who
- 13:09Speaker 2: could come in and say, hey, I'd like you to
- 13:11Speaker 2: see the testimony of, I don't know, just the last
- 13:14Speaker 2: six families that have lost loved ones and their kids
- 13:17Speaker 2: are the same age as you.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Let's just hope for all those kids on September 4th
- 13:21Speaker 3: that are walking out. There's not an illegal driving a
- 13:22Speaker 3: semi truck in the area. Yeah.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I mean, all kidding aside, because they have them walking
- 13:26Speaker 2: on the damn road.
- 13:27Speaker 3: I know.
- 13:28Speaker 5: I'm like, who?
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure we have like laws with
- 13:32Speaker 2: The schools that say not we are not responsible for
- 13:35Speaker 2: things that happen outside of campus, off school property.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Like all that language. I'm like, I don't know how
- 13:41Speaker 2: this works. But to me, it just seems like a
- 13:44Speaker 2: cacophony of errors. I have no idea where Jared Polis is.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I don't know why he's not stepping in as the
- 13:49Speaker 2: governor and saying, hey, guys, this might be a problem.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Maybe we shouldn't do this. Everybody's so afraid of going
- 13:54Speaker 2: up against the woke.
- 13:56Speaker 3: I just don't get it. I think where Jared Paulus is,
- 13:58Speaker 3: he's somewhere like on the street corner like, vamonos a
- 14:00Speaker 3: la gringos.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Well, speaking to the point of these kids going out
- 14:07Speaker 2: and protesting because they don't have a clear idea of
- 14:09Speaker 2: what it is, I saw Anne Hathaway yesterday. And let
- 14:13Speaker 2: me just say, because I want to be honest, I
- 14:14Speaker 2: despise Anne Hathaway. I think she's a pompous, elitist, stupid-ass
- 14:18Speaker 2: actress who reads words that other people wrote for her
- 14:20Speaker 2: and then goes about with this higher than thou. I'm
- 14:24Speaker 2: Anne Hathaway. Shut up, broad. Like, just shut up. I've
- 14:27Speaker 2: had enough. You literally are just an actress. I don't
- 14:30Speaker 2: get why we glorify actresses. I never have.
- 14:33Speaker 3: So putting that to the side, I just, I think
- 14:35Speaker 3: it's just quick. I can answer that one actually. It's
- 14:37Speaker 3: because they're wealthy and attractive generally.
- 14:40Speaker 2: There's a lot of wealthy and attractive broads that aren't actresses.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I don't praise them either. You know what I mean? Like,
- 14:44Speaker 2: you know, there's a lot of beautiful people in the world.
- 14:47Speaker 2: That's okay. But if you're a piece of shit, you're
- 14:48Speaker 2: a piece of shit, you know? What is that whole expression?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Lipstick on a pig.
- 14:51Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And I like pigs, but all that to the side.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I think this comment is one of the most disgusting,
- 14:59Speaker 2: ignorant comments I have heard. I mean, it's one of
- 15:02Speaker 2: those things where I'm like, wow, show me that you
- 15:05Speaker 2: have the devil inside you without ever saying it. I mean,
- 15:08Speaker 2: this was I think even like the panel was like, oh,
- 15:13Speaker 2: that's that's a lot. I don't know how I feel
- 15:15Speaker 2: about that. And what I will say, we're going to
- 15:17Speaker 2: play this. What I will say is it's out of
- 15:19Speaker 2: pure ignorance because you don't know what an abortion is.
- 15:23Speaker 2: And until you have seen an abortion or you have
- 15:26Speaker 2: met an abortion survivor, you cannot tell me that you
- 15:29Speaker 2: are an informed pro-life or pro-choice person. Because when you
- 15:34Speaker 2: watch an abortion, like a real one, what it is,
- 15:37Speaker 2: what they do to kill that child inside of the womb,
- 15:40Speaker 2: because a lot of these women, they go under. I
- 15:43Speaker 2: don't want to feel it. I don't want to know.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I want to wake up when it's over. why don't
- 15:46Speaker 2: you stay awake for a minute and watch the murder
- 15:48Speaker 2: that you're committing? But you're going to feel real different
- 15:50Speaker 2: about abortion. Cause that's how I was. I was like
- 15:53Speaker 2: 22 years old. I met an abortion survivor and I
- 15:57Speaker 2: was like, she's like, well, what's your position? I said, well,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I'm Catholic, you know, I'm pro-life, but I feel like
- 16:01Speaker 2: I shouldn't tell other people what to do with their body.
- 16:03Speaker 2: And she was like, have you ever seen an abortion?
- 16:04Speaker 2: And I said, no, I haven't. She said, oh, let's
- 16:07Speaker 2: watch one together. Then we'll see how you feel. And I,
- 16:09Speaker 2: it changed my life. It really, I really like, it
- 16:12Speaker 2: changed my life. Cause I used to never have an opinion.
- 16:15Speaker 2: And now I have a very strong opinion, but I
- 16:18Speaker 2: consider it to be an informed opinion. And if you
- 16:20Speaker 2: ever saw the movie or read any of the records
- 16:23Speaker 2: from the Gosnell case, you would understand the... I mean,
- 16:28Speaker 2: it's something out of the worst, most horrific horror movie
- 16:33Speaker 2: you've ever seen times 100. And that happened in real life.
- 16:36Speaker 2: People don't even talk about it. They don't even know
- 16:38Speaker 2: who Dr. Gosnell is.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I know.
- 16:40Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 16:41Speaker 3: But.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Let's play this clip. We'll talk on the other side.
- 16:43Speaker 2: This is Anne Hathaway at her finest. These are her
- 16:45Speaker 2: own words though, guys. Nobody wrote these for her. She
- 16:47Speaker 2: got these on her own.
- 16:49Speaker 8: When you are a young woman starting out your career,
- 16:51Speaker 8: your reproductive destiny matters a great deal. My own personal
- 16:54Speaker 8: experience with abortion, and I don't think we talk about
- 16:57Speaker 8: this enough, abortion can be another word for mercy. We
- 17:00Speaker 8: don't know.
- 17:01Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 17:02Speaker 8: It's not a world in which... We know that no
- 17:04Speaker 8: two pregnancies are alike, and it follows that no two
- 17:06Speaker 8: lives are alike. That follows that no two conceptions are alike.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 17:11Speaker 8: So how can we have a law? How can we
- 17:13Speaker 8: have a point of view on this that says we
- 17:16Speaker 8: must treat everything the same? And where I come at
- 17:18Speaker 8: it from is when you allow for choice, you allow
- 17:21Speaker 8: for flexibility, which is what we need in order to
- 17:25Speaker 8: be human.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I want to be in the meeting where Anne Hathaway's
- 17:31Speaker 3: agent was like, you know what would be good for
- 17:32Speaker 3: your career? Go on The View. and piss off at
- 17:36Speaker 3: least 60% of the country, right? Like just go and like,
- 17:39Speaker 3: not even to say, hey, we could have a thing,
- 17:41Speaker 3: but like to call abortion an act of mercy is,
- 17:44Speaker 3: I think, that's on that kind of a Linda Clancy
- 17:47Speaker 3: train there.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And it's a sad thing, you know, speaking of Lindsay Clancy,
- 17:54Speaker 2: I don't have this in the rundown for today, but
- 17:56Speaker 2: I did this in a show that I did the
- 17:58Speaker 2: other day. And these are regular women who, Regular, every day,
- 18:04Speaker 2: just walking around the park. Some of them have kids
- 18:06Speaker 2: with them. Being asked how they feel about Lindsay Clancy
- 18:11Speaker 2: and if they support her. Take a look at this.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Do you stand with her, yes or no?
- 18:15Speaker 3: I don't think she did it. Yes.
- 18:17Speaker 2: We feel she's very sleep deprived.
- 18:18Speaker 8: Her job as a labor and delivery nurse working night shifts.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And three children is.
- 18:23Speaker 3: A lot.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Do you have children?
- 18:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Would you ever hurt them? Yes and no.
- 18:27Speaker 3: As a mom or as a dad, I think that
- 18:31Speaker 3: you are not perfect.
- 18:32Speaker 2: So what are the consequences she should face for this? Obviously,
- 18:35Speaker 2: she's already in a wheelchair. He should go to jail
- 18:38Speaker 2: for negligence. He needs to take care of his kids,
- 18:41Speaker 2: and that was his responsibility. Is this any of your girlfriends? No.
- 18:46Speaker 2: This is your girlfriend?
- 18:47Speaker 7: I think you have to do some reflection on that.
- 18:50Speaker 3: I just have seen a little bit on TikTok of
- 18:52Speaker 3: the case.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I'm watching it on TikTok or like the live streams.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Where are you getting your news that the defense might
- 18:59Speaker 2: not be getting theirs?
- 19:00Speaker 5: I don't.
- 19:01Speaker 2: What did you say?
- 19:02Speaker 3: TikTok. Yeah, it's it's insane. And I do think it's
- 19:07Speaker 3: funny to hear that. But I don't think it's unfair
- 19:10Speaker 3: to connect the dots between Anne Hathaway being like, yeah,
- 19:12Speaker 3: you know, killing a baby in the womb is an
- 19:14Speaker 3: act of mercy. Because, like, if you think that's OK,
- 19:17Speaker 3: then eventually you kind of play it out. And that's
- 19:19Speaker 3: where the Lindsay Clancy thing. I will say this. You know,
- 19:22Speaker 3: you talk about like having seen. an abortion and like
- 19:25Speaker 3: and when you are confronted with the reality of it
- 19:28Speaker 3: because those all those women in the lindsey clancy video
- 19:31Speaker 3: it's like yeah i saw something about it on tiktok
- 19:32Speaker 3: you didn't actually watch this woman strangled her child right
- 19:36Speaker 3: if you actually were confronted with the graphic visual evidence
- 19:39Speaker 3: of it um imagining people would feel slightly differently about
- 19:42Speaker 3: it and the best example i remember from this is,
- 19:46Speaker 3: I don't know if you were working in radio in
- 19:48Speaker 3: like 2002 and 2003, but I remember very distinctly, I was,
- 19:53Speaker 3: so Glenn Beck started his, he had his radio show
- 19:56Speaker 3: and he had just moved into the morning, like after,
- 19:58Speaker 3: you know, 9-11 and they put him up. And so
- 20:01Speaker 3: he said, he was talking about this and he goes, listen, we,
- 20:03Speaker 3: you know, we've talked about this. It's like George W.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Bush and we're going to do stem cell research. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 3: that's kind of the conversation we have as a country.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Glenn Beck's like, we're going to do something that we
- 20:14Speaker 3: need to do. He goes, we're going to play for
- 20:16Speaker 3: you a live abortion on air. And he goes, and that's,
- 20:19Speaker 3: and people need to hear the radio on there. What
- 20:21Speaker 3: a live abortion sounds like. And he's like teasing on
- 20:23Speaker 3: Mondays on Friday, we're going to play a live abortion.
- 20:26Speaker 3: So then all week people are calling in Glenn. I
- 20:28Speaker 3: don't think we should do that. That's too much. It's
- 20:30Speaker 3: too graphic. But even for like a few days, he
- 20:32Speaker 3: made them confront emotionally and conceptually and philosophically what that
- 20:37Speaker 3: would be. And then on Friday he goes, okay, I
- 20:41Speaker 3: told you we're going to play this live abortion. He
- 20:44Speaker 3: played a clip of Al Franken's radio show. It was
- 20:49Speaker 3: so good. No, I know it was such a good payoff,
- 20:53Speaker 3: but it, but it was such an elite way.
- 20:55Speaker 2: To like, he became a Senator. Holy shit.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I know, but it was this real thing.
- 21:01Speaker 2: That's a whole other conversation.
- 21:03Speaker 5: I know.
- 21:03Speaker 3: I know.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You make an excellent point. And I, I was saying
- 21:06Speaker 2: this the other day as I was, I was talking
- 21:08Speaker 2: about what's happening in, in England and in France and
- 21:11Speaker 2: in Sweden and these ridiculous, um, rises in sexual assaults.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It is crazy. And I always get offended when they
- 21:20Speaker 2: say sexual assaults because it's not sex, it's rape. It's
- 21:23Speaker 2: rape and it is physical assault, right? It's this idea
- 21:26Speaker 2: that you are walking down a street or going to
- 21:29Speaker 2: the gym or with your children and they will rape
- 21:32Speaker 2: you and then they'll rape your kids in front of
- 21:34Speaker 2: you because they're from a third world country that A,
- 21:38Speaker 2: thinks you're less than the value of a mule. And B,
- 21:41Speaker 2: thinks that they are told by their God that it's
- 21:44Speaker 2: okay for them to suppress you and use you for
- 21:46Speaker 2: what they want. And they literally believe that. They don't
- 21:49Speaker 2: think they're doing anything wrong, nor do they care about
- 21:51Speaker 2: you crying, you screaming, the pain they're caught. Nothing matters.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But then you have these people who are making laws
- 21:59Speaker 2: and voting on it. So I'm like, okay, so do
- 22:01Speaker 2: we need to see the rape? We need to see
- 22:03Speaker 2: the rape. You need to see what it is for
- 22:05Speaker 2: someone to be raped. and not just raped, but gang raped.
- 22:08Speaker 2: If we look at the beaches of Suta, Spain, and
- 22:11Speaker 2: they're talking about these young girls, they bring them across
- 22:13Speaker 2: with them. They drag them through Morocco as they come
- 22:17Speaker 2: across the Suta, Spain. They take them into the hills
- 22:20Speaker 2: up in that little town and they gang rape them
- 22:23Speaker 2: and leave them for dead. When they bring them to
- 22:25Speaker 2: the police department in Suta, Spain, they say, we're sorry,
- 22:29Speaker 2: we're not able to help you. You have to take
- 22:30Speaker 2: her back to Morocco. Some of these girls are as
- 22:33Speaker 2: young as 11. So these are the realities of what
- 22:37Speaker 2: happens because ignorance is bliss. And we can say, poor
- 22:40Speaker 2: illegal immigrant. I will tell you what, I don't have
- 22:43Speaker 2: one shred of sympathy for one illegal immigrant from the
- 22:46Speaker 2: age of birth to the age of death. I have
- 22:48Speaker 2: no sympathy for them whatsoever.
- 22:51Speaker 3: And why?
- 22:51Speaker 2: Because I need to have one rule for all, which
- 22:54Speaker 2: is come to the country legally, bring us your asylum package,
- 22:58Speaker 2: tell us why you need a green card, put yourself
- 23:00Speaker 2: in the lottery. Those are the options that are available
- 23:03Speaker 2: to us at that point. If you want to have
- 23:04Speaker 2: a conversation about changing the system, sure, let's do it.
- 23:07Speaker 2: That's a great conversation. I love to have it. My
- 23:10Speaker 2: conversation is about the United States of America and the
- 23:14Speaker 2: angel families that live every single day with the hardship
- 23:16Speaker 2: of having lost a child because you want to stand
- 23:19Speaker 2: up with a bullhorn like the Dutero. and tell me
- 23:22Speaker 2: that ICE has to leave. So you know what? You
- 23:24Speaker 2: can kiss my ass. That's a bunch of shit. You're uninformed.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I don't feel like I have to qualify my feelings
- 23:30Speaker 2: to someone who can't even have the argument. They don't
- 23:33Speaker 2: even understand the things I'm saying. And to the Lindsay
- 23:35Speaker 2: Clancy case, full circle, I wonder if these women would
- 23:39Speaker 2: feel the same way if they saw the pictures of
- 23:43Speaker 2: her strangled children.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Right. No, absolutely. Because what have they seen? They've seen
- 23:47Speaker 3: her in a wheelchair, right? That's what they've seen.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:50Speaker 3: You know what?
- 23:50Speaker 2: I'd like to throw her out the window. Here you go.
- 23:52Speaker 2: You and your wheelchair out the window. Let's try again, right?
- 23:55Speaker 2: If it takes three times, third time's a charm. And
- 23:58Speaker 2: you know what? More people need to be outspoken about it.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I'm like, why are we in the camp of defending
- 24:05Speaker 2: a woman who murdered three children, five, three, eight months
- 24:09Speaker 2: with an exercise ban, face down, fighting for their lives?
- 24:13Speaker 2: What are we doing? How is this? And let me
- 24:15Speaker 2: tell you something. A year ago, a man- was put
- 24:19Speaker 2: on trial for murdering his five children. Do you know
- 24:24Speaker 2: what that man got?
- 24:26Speaker 3: The death penalty?
- 24:27Speaker 2: That's right. Very quick deliberation, two hours. I'm like, why
- 24:32Speaker 2: are we giving sympathy? Don't we all want to be equal?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Aren't women just as strong as men, right? Shouldn't she
- 24:39Speaker 2: be equal to a man? Put her ass in the chair.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Pull the lever. I don't want to pay for, as
- 24:45Speaker 2: Nancy Grace says, three hots and a cot.
- 24:49Speaker 5: I don't.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I don't want her in jail. I want her in hell. Goodbye.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Have a nice death. You murdered three kids. There is
- 24:57Speaker 2: no room for ambiguity at all. And these men that
- 25:00Speaker 2: are leaving their girlfriends, God bless them.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Get out now. It's a real movement.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Yes.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yes.
- 25:07Speaker 3: All right.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I'm off my soapbox. You know how I get about
- 25:09Speaker 2: these things, you know, and I can't stand the woman card,
- 25:12Speaker 2: the woman card about like this do-do-do Anne Hathaway. Our
- 25:15Speaker 2: reproductive destiny. Who talks like that? Stop it. I mean,
- 25:20Speaker 2: I get annoyed with the word family planning. My reproductive destiny.
- 25:25Speaker 2: What is happening? You are a woman. God gave you
- 25:28Speaker 2: the ability to give birth. Move on with your life.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Have a baby.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Be a good mom. Stop being a creep. Mercy? Mercy. Anywho.
- 25:38Speaker 3: All right.
- 25:39Speaker 2: So let's move on to our next favorite topic. Are
- 25:41Speaker 2: you ready?
- 25:42Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Hassan Piker. Assam Piker's getting some heat. You want to
- 25:47Speaker 2: set it up for me, sir?
- 25:48Speaker 3: Well, no, I think we have three different clips of
- 25:50Speaker 3: Hassan Piker. And it's not really about Hassan Piker. It's
- 25:53Speaker 3: about the people that are like actually up for like
- 25:57Speaker 3: positions of authority and power, like the nominee for a
- 26:00Speaker 3: Senate in Michigan, Abdul El-Said, who for some reason cannot
- 26:04Speaker 3: disavow or distance himself in a sufficient or effective way
- 26:08Speaker 3: from Mr. Piker. And I do think what's really fun
- 26:10Speaker 3: about that is like, There's a level of conceit and arrogance.
- 26:14Speaker 3: These guys think that they are actually effective enough communicators.
- 26:17Speaker 3: And they also kind of believe low key that what
- 26:20Speaker 3: he's saying is correct. And so here are the sentiments
- 26:23Speaker 3: and they, and they agree with him, I think is
- 26:25Speaker 3: really what it is. So the reason why you won't
- 26:27Speaker 3: see anybody disavow the quote unquote streamer from California is
- 26:30Speaker 3: because these, I think we have three clips from Hassan
- 26:33Speaker 3: Piker are, are, or at least in the ballpark of
- 26:36Speaker 3: what a Senate nominee from the state of Michigan believes.
- 26:39Speaker 9: Abdul El-Sayed is my guy.
- 26:41Speaker 7: Right.
- 26:42Speaker 9: He's a Rhodes scholar. He's a doctor. He's a stud, too.
- 26:44Speaker 9: He can do three plates on the bench press. And
- 26:48Speaker 9: I mean, that's besides the point. But, you know, I
- 26:50Speaker 9: like that personally. And, you know, I've known of Abdul
- 26:56Speaker 9: and I've hung out with them. You know, I've done
- 26:59Speaker 9: fundraisers online, small dollar donations from my community for his
- 27:02Speaker 9: campaign because he doesn't have any corporate PACs. He opposes
- 27:06Speaker 9: corporate PAC money. And he's APAC has said that they're
- 27:11Speaker 9: going to deploy 30 million dollars in his race.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 27:15Speaker 9: Because he opposes America's relationship with Israel. He wants to
- 27:19Speaker 9: he wants to reconsider our endless expansionist mindset in not
- 27:26Speaker 9: only the Middle East, but all around the world. He
- 27:28Speaker 9: says we got to take this money away from these
- 27:30Speaker 9: bombs and spend it on ourselves, spend it on health care.
- 27:33Speaker 9: He's been an advocate for Medicare for all. He wrote
- 27:35Speaker 9: a book about it. And he was in the Detroit
- 27:41Speaker 9: public health office. So he abolished 300,000 people's medical debt.
- 27:49Speaker 9: You know, he had this glasses program where he gave
- 27:53Speaker 9: thousands of people in Detroit glasses so they can see
- 27:57Speaker 9: and read. And he's a wonderful person, right? But he
- 28:02Speaker 9: wasn't getting a lot of attention initially. in his race.
- 28:06Speaker 9: And he reached out to me and said, oh, let's go,
- 28:08Speaker 9: let's do a campaign rally together. And I had already
- 28:10Speaker 9: done stuff with him. I traveled to Dearborn. We worked out,
- 28:13Speaker 9: played basketball, all this stuff. So I didn't really think
- 28:15Speaker 9: about it. And then all of a sudden, out of nowhere,
- 28:18Speaker 9: the entirety of the right wing and also a lot
- 28:20Speaker 9: of center right forces in the Democratic Party started writing
- 28:25Speaker 9: articles about the dangers of aligning with someone like myself.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Well, let's take a look at what is so dangerous
- 28:32Speaker 2: about that alignment. It is completely ridiculous.
- 28:36Speaker 7: It's laughable to say guys like myself, guys like Abdul El-Sayed,
- 28:41Speaker 7: we hate America.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I say I hate America all the time.
- 28:45Speaker 7: A lot of motherfuckers want to kill me over that take.
- 28:47Speaker 9: But at least I say it with my fucking chest.
- 28:49Speaker 2: People will be like, Hasan, you hate America.
- 28:50Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, I do. I do hate America.
- 28:53Speaker 9: God damn it. I hate America so much. We are
- 28:55Speaker 9: the bad guys. We are the bad guys. Why do
- 28:57Speaker 9: I hate America?
- 28:58Speaker 7: Because I recognize accurate history.
- 29:01Speaker 9: God, I hate America so much. I hate America so
- 29:05Speaker 9: fucking much. Sometimes it's like so stupid, dude. God, I
- 29:09Speaker 9: hate America so much. Bro, I hate this country, dude.
- 29:13Speaker 9: I hate America so fucking much, dude. God, I just,
- 29:17Speaker 9: I hate America so much. So fucking nasty. So fucking nasty, dude.
- 29:25Speaker 9: Hate America so much. I hate coming back. Dude, I
- 29:28Speaker 9: fucking hate America, dude. Why do I hate America, by
- 29:31Speaker 9: the way?
- 29:32Speaker 7: Because of America's continued allegiance with Israel. I fucking hate
- 29:37Speaker 7: America so much. Fucking hate America so much. i just
- 29:41Speaker 7: oh god we're we're a nation of fucking bloodthirsty monster
- 29:44Speaker 7: god i fucking hate america so much sometimes dude oh
- 29:49Speaker 7: my god it's just so fucking nasty just a bunch
- 29:53Speaker 7: of perverted fascist fat fucks in this goddamn country just bloodthirsty.
- 30:01Speaker 3: So the one thing that he said before how much
- 30:04Speaker 3: he hates America is that Abdul El-Sayed doesn't take PAC money,
- 30:09Speaker 3: which may or may not be true, although he's getting
- 30:11Speaker 3: ready to take, I'm pretty sure, some corporate money in
- 30:13Speaker 3: the Democrat Senate race and the Democrat Senate campaign committee.
- 30:17Speaker 3: You know who Abdul El-Sayed does take money from?
- 30:20Speaker 5: Please.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I think it's like... 18 of the same donors as
- 30:25Speaker 3: people who donated to a Republican candidate in Florida, Dan Blazerian,
- 30:29Speaker 3: who was running against Randy Fine. The one thing people
- 30:32Speaker 3: might not know about Randy Fine is his allegiance with
- 30:35Speaker 3: Israel is so strong, he is referred to as the
- 30:37Speaker 3: Hebrew Hammer.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I love Randy Fine. I love that guy.
- 30:41Speaker 3: So Dan Blazerian basically ran... he's a tool of Israel,
- 30:45Speaker 3: had like an AI video with some anti-Semitic tropes, et cetera.
- 30:48Speaker 3: So here you have a Republican in Florida, Abdul Al-Sayed,
- 30:52Speaker 3: who's Medicare for All in Michigan. They have no political
- 30:55Speaker 3: positions in line except for anti-Israel stuff. Dan Blasian, very aggressive.
- 31:02Speaker 3: 18 of his donors are giving money to Abdul Al-Sayed.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Not to mention the fact that he has Soros money,
- 31:06Speaker 2: he has CARE money. Yeah. He has lots of other money.
- 31:10Speaker 2: And what I love the most about the platitudes that
- 31:15Speaker 2: they say like one of his like hallmarks of his
- 31:17Speaker 2: campaign is healthcare medicare for all medicare for all medicare
- 31:23Speaker 2: for all okay great um how come your wife doesn't
- 31:26Speaker 2: take it in her practice so your wife is a
- 31:29Speaker 2: doctor in michigan by the way if we could i
- 31:33Speaker 2: like to say this as often as possible so bear
- 31:35Speaker 2: with me for one brief moment mr syed is not
- 31:39Speaker 2: a doctor he is a phd okay He has never
- 31:42Speaker 2: seen a patient. He has never treated a patient. He
- 31:45Speaker 2: has never prescribed medicine. He has never performed any sort
- 31:48Speaker 2: of surgery ever, ever, ever. So while the first two
- 31:52Speaker 2: letters of your title might be Dior, I am not
- 31:55Speaker 2: coming to you with a broken bone, the flu, or
- 31:57Speaker 2: any other major needs. You are a doctor on paper, period,
- 32:01Speaker 2: end of sentence. Congratulations on being a Rhodes Scholar. I
- 32:05Speaker 2: could give a shit less because you seem to have
- 32:07Speaker 2: the common sense of a net. Not to mention the
- 32:09Speaker 2: fact that you don't like football. And you dance like
- 32:12Speaker 2: you belong in a certain kind of club. I think
- 32:14Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 32:16Speaker 3: I was on a podcast with Tudor Dixon, who ran
- 32:18Speaker 3: for governor of Michigan. And she said, and so I
- 32:21Speaker 3: take her at her word, that like the actual, so
- 32:24Speaker 3: like he's running, oh, Medicare for all. He wants to give,
- 32:26Speaker 3: you know, kind of fundamentally change healthcare in the state
- 32:27Speaker 3: of Michigan. The area that he was actually in charge of,
- 32:30Speaker 3: you heard Abdullal say, or you heard Hassan Parker say,
- 32:32Speaker 3: he wiped out medical debt, gave away some glasses. Maybe
- 32:35Speaker 3: that's true. But apparently also they had like the worst
- 32:38Speaker 3: health outcomes in the state. So the track record of
- 32:42Speaker 3: the area in which he was actually in charge of
- 32:43Speaker 3: health care, not elite and maybe not that attractive for
- 32:47Speaker 3: the rest of the state or the rest of the country.
- 32:49Speaker 2: So you might remember the nickname that we had for
- 32:51Speaker 2: Pete Buttigieg. He used to be the secretary of transportation.
- 32:53Speaker 2: And then you went back and you looked at his
- 32:55Speaker 2: own city, which he was the mayor of. And they
- 32:57Speaker 2: call him Pothole Pete because he never fixed the damn
- 32:59Speaker 2: road when he was in the White House. And then
- 33:02Speaker 2: you look at, I call him sicky Saeed because everybody
- 33:05Speaker 2: was sick when he was the head of all things healthcare.
- 33:07Speaker 2: And now he's like, healthcare is my platform. I'm like, bro,
- 33:11Speaker 2: you are literally the doctor of ill. I don't know
- 33:14Speaker 2: what is going on or why anybody cares what you,
- 33:17Speaker 2: and this fascination with him and the fitness. Ooh, he's
- 33:21Speaker 2: so blah, blah, blah. I'm like, bro, you are not
- 33:24Speaker 2: that fit. Sorry, not sorry. Just because you wear a
- 33:27Speaker 2: tight t-shirt doesn't mean you got big arms. It means
- 33:29Speaker 2: that it's too small.
- 33:31Speaker 3: You see what Spencer Pratt started calling him Oompa Loompa Saeed.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Oh, I love it.
- 33:35Speaker 3: I love it.
- 33:36Speaker 2: I didn't see that.
- 33:37Speaker 3: A little squatty.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Oh, I love it. I absolutely love it. I mean,
- 33:41Speaker 2: Spencer Pratt, he's so like funny. He comes up with
- 33:43Speaker 2: the quickness. But I really struggle with these people who
- 33:48Speaker 2: are out here and they're trying to distance themselves from Hassan,
- 33:51Speaker 2: but they can't because Hassan is where all the money is.
- 33:55Speaker 2: And they know that. And now Hassan has buddied up
- 33:58Speaker 2: to the Bernies and the AOCs. So they're trying to
- 34:01Speaker 2: figure out, do we dissect ourselves from Hassan and hurt
- 34:05Speaker 2: our chances of the 2028? Or do we keep it
- 34:09Speaker 2: and lose 2026? They're really doing, I think, quite a
- 34:13Speaker 2: bit of strategic analysis right now and trying to figure
- 34:15Speaker 2: out what their next step is, because I don't think
- 34:17Speaker 2: they know.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Well, they don't know. And the polls have been off.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So I think they're trying to figure out what data
- 34:22Speaker 3: points can they actually trust? No, it's weird. But I
- 34:25Speaker 3: have seen the polling, you know, that he is he's
- 34:28Speaker 3: not up by a lot, but he is up fairly
- 34:30Speaker 3: consistently over Mike Rogers. So let's hopefully that pull is off.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I need Mike Rogers to start wearing really inappropriately
- 34:35Speaker 2: tight T-shirts and just like get out there and just
- 34:37Speaker 2: be like, yeah, bro, you know, got the guns. I mean,
- 34:40Speaker 2: I don't know. In any event, two more clips for today.
- 34:43Speaker 2: We have this woman. She is a Georgia Democrat. She's
- 34:48Speaker 2: on an election board. Oh, how fun.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Speaking of people that hate America.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Please, I should have played that back to back, right? Yeah.
- 34:55Speaker 2: This is literally just two days ago, and she calls
- 34:58Speaker 2: the Pledge of Allegiance offensive and not unifying. And this
- 35:04Speaker 2: is what she has to say when she's talking to
- 35:07Speaker 2: the DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections. What is it?
- 35:12Speaker 2: Deli Lohman or Dale Lohman?
- 35:14Speaker 3: Hey, Yankee.
- 35:15Speaker 6: Yes.
- 35:15Speaker 3: It's DeKalb.
- 35:17Speaker 2: DeKalb, whatever. DeKalb, DeKalb. Potato, potato, you know? So long
- 35:21Speaker 2: as I land in Atlanta, I'm good to go. All right,
- 35:23Speaker 2: listen to this one.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Citing the Pledge of Allegiance is not unifying, and requesting
- 35:28Speaker 4: it is offensive. I will not support it, and I
- 35:33Speaker 4: hope that it does not get brought up again until
- 35:35Speaker 4: we can be assured that this country has pledged allegiance
- 35:39Speaker 4: to all of its citizens and treats all of us
- 35:42Speaker 4: as Americans, which it does not and never has.
- 35:46Speaker 2: That's it.
- 35:47Speaker 4: So when we have multiple people making complaints about reciting
- 35:54Speaker 4: the Pledge of Allegiance, it feels like we have lost
- 35:57Speaker 4: the plot. Regarding the claim that this is somehow unifying,
- 36:05Speaker 4: I just want to remind you that our legislature convened
- 36:09Speaker 4: in a special session this summer to take voting representation
- 36:14Speaker 4: away from black people.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I'd love to see the proof of that. Something tells
- 36:21Speaker 2: me that there is a misnomer there. Just a bit. Just,
- 36:25Speaker 2: you know.
- 36:26Speaker 3: I'm going to guess that's a reference to them having
- 36:28Speaker 3: a redistricting special session.
- 36:31Speaker 2: 100%. Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, I would say... That is not a unique perspective.
- 36:39Speaker 3: What is unique about it is the fact that it
- 36:42Speaker 3: was forcefully and unabashedly articulated. But I think that is
- 36:48Speaker 3: what people assume Democrats think. And that's why when Kamala
- 36:50Speaker 3: Harris says, I love this country, no one thinks that
- 36:54Speaker 3: they actually do want to embrace the flag and embrace
- 36:58Speaker 3: a pride in the country for that reason. Um, and
- 37:02Speaker 3: so I would just say, yeah, that's a, that checks out.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I am sort of low key shocked that we do
- 37:08Speaker 3: still do the pledge of allegiance and the national anthem
- 37:10Speaker 3: as prevalently as we do at like school events, sporting events,
- 37:14Speaker 3: et cetera, because of the prevalence of that perspective.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Well, I will tell you, I have been at a
- 37:19Speaker 2: few school events where it didn't happen. And I went
- 37:21Speaker 2: down and complained and said, we should do a four
- 37:23Speaker 2: stop of game. We are not playing until we have
- 37:26Speaker 2: the pledge of allegiance and the star spangled banner. I am,
- 37:29Speaker 2: I am that mom. And I will pull my child
- 37:32Speaker 2: off the field and I will tell their coaches and
- 37:34Speaker 2: I will go stand in the middle of the field
- 37:36Speaker 2: and you can arrest me. You will play that song.
- 37:40Speaker 2: It's about to get very real. I'm not the one
- 37:43Speaker 2: going out fist fighting in the middle of the field.
- 37:44Speaker 2: That's more common than ever. I'm not doing that. But
- 37:48Speaker 2: this is the greatest country God ever gave man. And
- 37:50Speaker 2: what the pledge and the national anthem actually stands for
- 37:54Speaker 2: is your right to oppose it. Your right to say
- 37:56Speaker 2: that you don't want to say it. So you don't
- 37:58Speaker 2: want to say it. I remember two Jehovah's Witnesses in
- 38:01Speaker 2: my class when I was a kid. You know what?
- 38:03Speaker 2: They never said it because they didn't praise anything. So
- 38:05Speaker 2: they sat down. And I remember, I'll never forget his name,
- 38:07Speaker 2: Wallace Fields. And we were in like the second grade
- 38:10Speaker 2: or third grade together. I was like, Wallace, how come
- 38:11Speaker 2: you don't say the pledge? He goes, I'm not allowed.
- 38:14Speaker 2: I said, why aren't you allowed? He goes, I don't know.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I thought, that's right. This is the quintessential issue.
- 38:22Speaker 3: He's like, Linda, what do you want? It's the pledge
- 38:24Speaker 3: in Halloween. Like, welcome to my life, okay? It's like,
- 38:26Speaker 3: I'm out on all this stuff.
- 38:28Speaker 2: I remember bringing him like a candy cane and a
- 38:30Speaker 2: card for Christmas one year. You know, we were broke.
- 38:32Speaker 2: It was a joke coming up. And I remember bringing
- 38:34Speaker 2: him and he's like, oh, I can't take it. I'm like,
- 38:35Speaker 2: it's a candy cane. And I mean, I was eight,
- 38:38Speaker 2: you know, and I was already like this, but I
- 38:39Speaker 2: just was like, man, that's a shame, you know? Like,
- 38:42Speaker 2: and this woman is in a position of power and
- 38:45Speaker 2: she's feeling some kind of way that she can be
- 38:47Speaker 2: some kind of way. And I'm like, you know what?
- 38:49Speaker 2: You're a little bit extra on the Pledge of Allegiance.
- 38:51Speaker 2: I just got to say.
- 38:52Speaker 3: So check it out. Here's what I like about this
- 38:54Speaker 3: and how what you just said and how it leads
- 38:56Speaker 3: into what I think is our last clip.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Please.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Because what you're speaking to is like, listen, yeah, you
- 39:01Speaker 3: might you may be like Assam Piker and you may
- 39:04Speaker 3: there may be parts of this country's history that you're
- 39:06Speaker 3: not a huge fan of. But it is possible to
- 39:10Speaker 3: appreciate the fact that like the one of the things
- 39:13Speaker 3: when you respect or present the flag and pledge allegiance
- 39:17Speaker 3: to the country. You pledge allegiance to the ideals that
- 39:21Speaker 3: it represents and it fights for to preserve for you
- 39:23Speaker 3: every day. And that is the freedom to oppose it, right?
- 39:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 39:26Speaker 3: And so it is possible to have a little bit
- 39:29Speaker 3: of gratitude. and appreciation for what you do have by
- 39:33Speaker 3: the fact that you live in this country. Clearly, there
- 39:35Speaker 3: were many, many people under Joe Biden who wanted that
- 39:38Speaker 3: right and not ability. And as we heard from a
- 39:41Speaker 3: dude testifying who runs a birth tourism center in the
- 39:44Speaker 3: house this week, he took the Fifth Amendment. There's like 20,
- 39:48Speaker 3: there's like 2,000 families that are coming in.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Not only did he take the Fifth, but he wore
- 39:51Speaker 2: an upside down flag on his lapel.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Oh, did he?
- 39:55Speaker 2: I didn't see that.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Total scumbag. So the point is, there's lots of people
- 39:59Speaker 3: who do want to come here. But I like the
- 40:01Speaker 3: idea of intentional gratitude. And my favorite part of our
- 40:04Speaker 3: last clip is.
- 40:07Speaker 3: You know, sometimes bad things happen in life. Yeah. And
- 40:10Speaker 3: you have a few different ways of responding to it.
- 40:14Speaker 3: And it's hard for me to imagine, Linda McLaughlin, something
- 40:17Speaker 3: much worse happening to you. And it's hard for me
- 40:19Speaker 3: to imagine feeling more singled out by like none other
- 40:24Speaker 3: than God.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Ridiculous.
- 40:29Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 40:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Like of all the ways God could get your attention,
- 40:35Speaker 3: you know, you could have like a dead battery. You
- 40:37Speaker 3: could have, I don't know, like a health scare or
- 40:41Speaker 3: you could be struck by lightning.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Actually. Yeah.
- 40:45Speaker 3: And this guy did. Bro.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I jumped you, bro. I jumped you. Go for it.
- 40:50Speaker 3: No, I just say, and this guy, no. And this
- 40:52Speaker 3: guy did.
- 40:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:53Speaker 2: It's, this is pretty amazing.
- 41:13Speaker 3: So Linda, what's this guy's name? I don't know.
- 41:18Speaker 2: But let me see. Just says a Staten Island man.
- 41:24Speaker 2: You can tell by the woman, as someone who lived
- 41:27Speaker 2: on Staten Island for a few years, I can honestly
- 41:30Speaker 2: say she's like Yeah, you could come in. I'm calling
- 41:33Speaker 2: an ambulance right now. I'm like, my girl. I was like, yes,
- 41:35Speaker 2: power to the people. I don't know who you are,
- 41:37Speaker 2: but I love you.
- 41:38Speaker 3: So he struck by lightning and then in response to it,
- 41:41Speaker 3: what does he do?
- 41:44Speaker 2: Can I please come in?
- 41:45Speaker 3: No, he goes to church the next day.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Oh yes, I'm sorry. I thought we were still talking
- 41:49Speaker 2: about the moment, not the after. I apologize. He goes
- 41:52Speaker 2: to church that Sunday and he thanks God for sparing
- 41:55Speaker 2: his life and for letting him survive this lightning strike.
- 41:58Speaker 2: But I think what's interesting about it It's just that
- 42:01Speaker 2: he gets up and he's so polite. He's like, can
- 42:03Speaker 2: I come in? Like he's not crying. He's not screaming.
- 42:07Speaker 2: He just gets up his entire front of his clothes.
- 42:10Speaker 2: If you're listening and not watching, please watch this video later.
- 42:13Speaker 2: He's singed head to toe.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Well, I think that speaks to something with you as
- 42:19Speaker 3: reference is like, yeah, you might be terrified of God.
- 42:21Speaker 3: You might be terrified of lightning strike, but not all
- 42:23Speaker 3: that pairs in comparison to the terror you have when
- 42:26Speaker 3: facing a Staten Island woman.
- 42:27Speaker 2: That's right.
- 42:28Speaker 3: So it's like, hey.
- 42:29Speaker 2: She's like, you better get in here. I'm about to
- 42:30Speaker 2: call 911. I'm going to help you, all right?
- 42:33Speaker 3: But I do think it's cool that he didn't get mad.
- 42:35Speaker 3: He didn't do anything. He's just like, hey.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I think it's like you got to be in shock
- 42:39Speaker 2: because what is it? I actually thought about this, and
- 42:41Speaker 2: I thought I should post this to him, and then
- 42:43Speaker 2: I thought maybe he wouldn't like that if I did that.
- 42:45Speaker 2: But when he got struck by lightning, I thought the
- 42:47Speaker 2: two highest odds that have the most similarity is winning
- 42:51Speaker 2: the lottery and getting struck by lightning.
- 42:53Speaker 4: So I was like, bro.
- 42:54Speaker 2: If I were you, I'd be getting that lottery ticket
- 42:56Speaker 2: because you clearly are somebody who's in the running, right?
- 42:59Speaker 3: Just saying. Or thought experiment, surviving a lightning strike is
- 43:03Speaker 3: like winning the lottery.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Oh, dropping knowledge.
- 43:07Speaker 3: It also made me think of, I'm not sure, I'm
- 43:10Speaker 3: assuming you've never been struck by lightning. I don't know
- 43:12Speaker 3: if you've ever experienced anything that made you feel like
- 43:15Speaker 3: you were struck by lightning. The closest I ever came is,
- 43:18Speaker 3: do you remember? I'm sure you do. Back in 2008, 2009,
- 43:24Speaker 3: there was a guy who went down to the University
- 43:26Speaker 3: of Florida. I think John Kerry was giving a speech,
- 43:29Speaker 3: and he got tased. It was the whole don't tase me,
- 43:31Speaker 3: bro thing.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Yeah, okay. So that was kind of famous and became like, oh,
- 43:37Speaker 3: should the cops use a taser, all that stuff. So
- 43:39Speaker 3: I had a buddy who was in law enforcement, and
- 43:43Speaker 3: he was giving me a tour of the local police station.
- 43:46Speaker 3: He's like, look, man, if you want, we'll tase you
- 43:47Speaker 3: right now. And I was like, let's do it. So
- 43:50Speaker 3: he gave me, he put the clips on me. And
- 43:52Speaker 3: so I did get tased for like half a second.
- 43:55Speaker 3: And it feels like electricity is coming through the top
- 43:59Speaker 3: of your head and through the bottom of your feet.
- 44:03Speaker 2: So I just looked that up right now. And it says,
- 44:06Speaker 2: don't tase me, bro. Happened 18 years ago. This was
- 44:09Speaker 2: on September 17th, 2025. So this September 20, this September 17th, uh,
- 44:17Speaker 2: of 2026. It'll be 19 years ago though. That's pretty
- 44:21Speaker 2: wild actually. Oh my God. Well, in any event, we
- 44:24Speaker 2: are happy that guy made it. God bless him. And, uh,
- 44:27Speaker 2: I'm glad that he took the time to go and
- 44:29Speaker 2: thank Jesus for sparing his life. Cause he certainly did. Uh,
- 44:32Speaker 2: I am Linda McLaughlin. He is Eric Eggers. This is
- 44:34Speaker 2: sound bites 19. Thank you for joining us at Linda
- 44:37Speaker 2: Mick at Eric underscore Eggers road recap.com. We'll see you
- 44:41Speaker 2: next week.
