- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:08Speaker 1: Sophie Torber and coming up on today's show. Tammy Hembrough
- 0:12Speaker 1: and Matt Zukowski dramatically unfollow each other days out from
- 0:16Speaker 1: their joint Hux party. Steph Clare Smith has revealed she
- 0:19Speaker 1: will no longer be sharing her son's face online. And
- 0:23Speaker 1: Mia Plesic's very puzzling business move. But first, Sophie, there's
- 0:27Speaker 1: been another twist in the crumble cookie drama. Yeah, this
- 0:30Speaker 1: story is getting interesting. As a quick refresher, last week
- 0:33Speaker 1: there was a pop-up event in North Bondi and there
- 0:36Speaker 1: was a, was he a teenager? A young kid who
- 0:39Speaker 1: looked like they were from a private school. Not to stereotype.
- 0:42Speaker 1: who held an event pretending to be the cookie brand, allegedly.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And they were selling these cookies for $ 17. 50 a pop.
- 0:50Speaker 1: And from all accounts, they were quite stale because this
- 0:53Speaker 1: schoolboy had flown to Hawaii. He'd bought 700 cookies and
- 0:58Speaker 1: he decided to sell them off A lot of people
- 1:00Speaker 1: are saying he's quite entrepreneurial, but it hasn't really been
- 1:04Speaker 1: great for him because the backlash has been pretty intense.
- 1:07Speaker 1: But who it has been good for is the real Crumble.
- 1:10Speaker 1: So they released a statement saying they will accelerate their
- 1:13Speaker 1: plans to bring the brand to Australia following the controversy. Yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 1: so in this official statement, the Crumble team said it
- 1:20Speaker 1: has been amazed by the support of fans in Australia
- 1:23Speaker 1: over recent weeks. And as a result, they've been inspired
- 1:26Speaker 1: to bring their cookies to Australia and So us Aussies
- 1:29Speaker 1: can actually have a true crumble experience. I mean, if
- 1:33Speaker 1: this isn't perfect PR, last week we spoke about whether
- 1:36Speaker 1: this was a good or bad thing for the company.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Obviously it's been a positive because they've been able to
- 1:40Speaker 1: see how many Australians are so desperate for these cookies.
- 1:43Speaker 1: But also it's interesting that they preface that they want
- 1:47Speaker 1: customers to have the true experience because then again, all
- 1:50Speaker 1: of these people who purchased the fake cookies for $ 17. 50
- 1:54Speaker 1: and had a bad experience, they want to turn that
- 1:55Speaker 1: experience around. I love the fact that so many TikTokers
- 2:00Speaker 1: are creating their own version of the crumble cookie. So
- 2:02Speaker 1: Michael Finch recently did his own recipe for it. It's
- 2:06Speaker 1: definitely generated a lot of attention for this brand. Yeah,
- 2:09Speaker 1: and crumble have also released an official Australian Instagram account.
- 2:13Speaker 1: So previously the pop-up went under the name of crumble Sydney.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Crumble have taken crumble Australia and they've released this reel.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And in the reel, it starts off by showing all
- 2:23Speaker 1: of the news coverage that the pop-up event got. And
- 2:26Speaker 1: then it says, The real crumble is coming soon. But
- 2:29Speaker 1: my favourite part of it is that they have this
- 2:31Speaker 1: graphic and in the graphic there's a little koala holding
- 2:34Speaker 1: a crumble cookie, which I just thought was so cute.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Plot twist, this has been a stunt by the company
- 2:39Speaker 1: all along and they've paid this boy to go and
- 2:41Speaker 1: do it. We spoke about one of the organisers before
- 2:43Speaker 1: and the Daily Mail did this huge expose where they
- 2:46Speaker 1: named this Sydney schoolboy as being the boy behind this
- 2:50Speaker 1: pop-up and they even featured a photo of his mum
- 2:53Speaker 1: outside her $ 4 million Bellevue Hills mansion. But suddenly, three
- 2:57Speaker 1: days later, the photo of the mother was removed. The
- 3:00Speaker 1: boy's name has been removed. They still reference him as
- 3:03Speaker 1: a year 10 student from a prestigious Sydney school. But
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm assuming that the family have called in the lawyers,
- 3:10Speaker 1: but they're probably so pleased now because this statement from
- 3:13Speaker 1: Crumble has taken the heat off this kid because now
- 3:17Speaker 1: it seems like he should be being praised for getting
- 3:20Speaker 1: the cookie giant down under. How long will we love
- 3:24Speaker 1: each other for? Always and forever. It's been a big
- 3:29Speaker 1: week for fitness influencer Tammy Hembrough and her fiance, Matt Sikowsky.
- 3:34Speaker 1: The couple created headlines for dramatically unfollowing each other on
- 3:37Speaker 1: Instagram days out from their lavish joint hucks party. I
- 3:42Speaker 1: first was alerted to this when a listener in our
- 3:44Speaker 1: Facebook group asked if Tammy's profile was down and listeners
- 3:48Speaker 1: began replying that they also couldn't see her account because Originally,
- 3:52Speaker 1: when I had a look, I thought, oh, maybe she's
- 3:53Speaker 1: blocked us because we have been covering quite a lot
- 3:56Speaker 1: about her relationship with Matt, but it appeared to be
- 3:58Speaker 1: down for everyone. And it looked as though she had
- 4:01Speaker 1: temporarily deactivated her account because Within an hour, it was
- 4:05Speaker 1: back up again, but she was following one less person.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And that was, of course, her fiance, Matt. And interestingly,
- 4:13Speaker 1: Matt was also not following Tammy, which got a lot
- 4:16Speaker 1: of people talking. But that can also happen if you
- 4:19Speaker 1: block someone. Oh, she had clearly blocked him because if
- 4:22Speaker 1: you block someone, it removes that person from all of
- 4:25Speaker 1: your photo tags. And suddenly his name was not appearing.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So it looked like she blocked him. then deactivated her
- 4:32Speaker 1: account and then brought it back up. It was interesting
- 4:34Speaker 1: timing because Matt had been in Melbourne and he'd only
- 4:37Speaker 1: just returned to the Gold Coast when all of this
- 4:39Speaker 1: blocking went on. Yeah, and it was really odd because
- 4:43Speaker 1: he jetted back into the Gold Coast with his sister
- 4:45Speaker 1: Emma and he was still posting on his Instagram story.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So he was out at this marketplace, which he would
- 4:52Speaker 1: never normally post about. And it looked really wholesome. It
- 4:56Speaker 1: was this cute little nighttime market. And presumably his sister
- 5:00Speaker 1: was there for the couple's joint hugs party, which was
- 5:02Speaker 1: supposed to be happening that weekend. And what is most
- 5:06Speaker 1: interesting about this is that Matt's sister, Emma, also unfollowed Tammy.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And I wondered whether this was a tactic to make
- 5:14Speaker 1: it look like Tammy had done something wrong.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And it was all very odd because it's not as
- 5:19Speaker 1: if Tammy's sisters unfollowed Matt. And they recently did that
- 5:23Speaker 1: interview on Matt's podcast. where they lay the boot in
- 5:26Speaker 1: and said he was immature and all this kind of stuff.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So I thought they'd be the first one follow. Maybe
- 5:31Speaker 1: they thought, oh, this is all going to blow over
- 5:33Speaker 1: by the weekend. It's already awkward between us. I may
- 5:37Speaker 1: be reading far too much into this, but in one
- 5:40Speaker 1: of the Instagram stories that Matt posted at this market,
- 5:43Speaker 1: he shared a picture of a stall that specifically sold
- 5:46Speaker 1: Dash Hound merchandise and he captioned the photo, what a
- 5:50Speaker 1: cute Dashie store. This just seems like a really odd
- 5:53Speaker 1: thing to share about when you're having a fight with
- 5:56Speaker 1: your fiance. And instantly the dash hound rung a bell
- 6:00Speaker 1: for me. And I realized that his ex-girlfriend, Jen, and
- 6:05Speaker 1: she's the one whose name he recently was getting removed
- 6:07Speaker 1: from his ass. She owns a dash hound. Now that's
- 6:10Speaker 1: because Matt had a tattoo of her name. Yeah. So
- 6:14Speaker 1: his ex-girlfriend owns a dash hound who Matt used to
- 6:17Speaker 1: live with and was obsessed with. So the dash hound
- 6:20Speaker 1: is called Moochie. And Matt was always posting about it
- 6:24Speaker 1: on his TikTok before they broke up. Wait a sec.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So do you think this fight could have been sparked
- 6:29Speaker 1: by the tattoo removal? Because everyone was talking about it.
- 6:33Speaker 1: He'd recently shared this collaboration with this particular numbing cream.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I mean, she was obviously a hot topic at that time. Possibly.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I mean, I also think that maybe the sisters, you know,
- 6:44Speaker 1: sharing their two cents about him didn't help. But yeah,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I just thought this must be a subtle reference to
- 6:49Speaker 1: the old days of with his partner like was this
- 6:52Speaker 1: some sort of dig at Tammy I feel like you're
- 6:54Speaker 1: reading a bit too much into it but the fact
- 6:56Speaker 1: that the sister was also at this market is also
- 6:58Speaker 1: very odd why share about like if your ex lived
- 7:02Speaker 1: with like just say your ex had a dog that
- 7:05Speaker 1: with his partner and it was like this dog that
- 7:08Speaker 1: he loved why would you post about it it's like
- 7:10Speaker 1: you're almost trying to get your ex to message you
- 7:12Speaker 1: or something. Unless he was like, oh fuck, I need
- 7:15Speaker 1: to share something on my Instagram because I want to
- 7:17Speaker 1: see if Tammy or one of her burner accounts or
- 7:20Speaker 1: one of her business accounts has a look at it
- 7:21Speaker 1: to see if she cares. But he'd already shared a
- 7:23Speaker 1: couple of others. And he was like, oh fuck, I've
- 7:24Speaker 1: just got to share something. I don't know. But he'd
- 7:26Speaker 1: already shared numerous photos at this market. Isn't it the
- 7:28Speaker 1: most awkward thing though, having to re-follow somebody that you
- 7:32Speaker 1: have unfollowed?
- 7:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I mean, I've done that before with you guys when
- 7:35Speaker 1: I unfollow you in like a blind rage and I've
- 7:38Speaker 1: stopped doing it because I'm I know it sounds lame,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but it always pops up like, Oh, you've been friends
- 7:42Speaker 1: with this person for 15 years. This is Facebook stuff. Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 1: On Facebook. It's embarrassing when it's like, you've been friends
- 7:47Speaker 1: with this person for a year. And you're like, Oh,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I was really intrigued though, to find out more about
- 7:52Speaker 1: Matt's relationship with Jen. Like You have told me not
- 7:55Speaker 1: to describe her like this, but she's a normie girlfriend.
- 7:58Speaker 1: So she has no reality TV ties at all. I
- 8:02Speaker 1: just think it's an offensive term. Someone's a normie. It's
- 8:05Speaker 1: not offensive. It's a fucking pop culture term. She's just
- 8:08Speaker 1: a normal girl. That's what you're saying. Anyway, so Matt
- 8:11Speaker 1: is known for dating celebrities. So he previously dated Keira
- 8:14Speaker 1: Maguire from The Bachelor. And he, I don't know if
- 8:17Speaker 1: this is true or if this is just a rumour,
- 8:20Speaker 1: But it sounds like he said that he dated her
- 8:22Speaker 1: for followers. There was a lot of press around the
- 8:24Speaker 1: time that they broke up. So who knows how true
- 8:27Speaker 1: it was. It was probably sources said Matt only dated
- 8:30Speaker 1: her for attention. So Genevieve, she didn't really fit the
- 8:33Speaker 1: type of who he normally would date as well. She's brunette,
- 8:36Speaker 1: not famous. They started dating in 2021 and their relationship
- 8:40Speaker 1: was really on again, off again from all reports. And
- 8:43Speaker 1: in May 2023, Matt announced on his podcast that they
- 8:46Speaker 1: broke up. Now, I want to get our timeline up
- 8:49Speaker 1: here because that is four months before he started dating
- 8:52Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough. And when he announced the breakup, he said
- 8:56Speaker 1: that they were still very much in contact and he
- 8:58Speaker 1: didn't reveal the exact reason. But we could all read
- 9:02Speaker 1: between the lines because he said, I crossed boundaries that
- 9:04Speaker 1: I shouldn't have. I disrespected her in ways that, look,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm not proud of. Now, immediately, I thought this sounded
- 9:11Speaker 1: like cheating, but he followed up by saying, it sounds
- 9:14Speaker 1: like I cheated on her. Nothing like that happened. It
- 9:16Speaker 1: was nothing like that. I was more in a way
- 9:19Speaker 1: I wasn't loyal in situations I should have been. I
- 9:23Speaker 1: definitely lost my way and was brought into cultures that
- 9:25Speaker 1: are a younger version of me. And I should have
- 9:27Speaker 1: just been more true to who I am now and
- 9:30Speaker 1: not done that stuff. Obviously it was too much for
- 9:32Speaker 1: both of us, mostly her. And she broke up with me.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That sounds like he has either gone to strip clubs
- 9:39Speaker 1: with his friends or He's either maybe drunk too much.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I thought maybe drinking or drugs. I mean, we don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: want to point fingers, but even the fact that last
- 9:48Speaker 1: week on his podcast, he said to his podcast host,
- 9:50Speaker 1: Anna McAvoy, that, you know, that he didn't want to
- 9:52Speaker 1: invite her to his Bucks party because of his friends
- 9:56Speaker 1: and how Anna didn't get along with them. like they
- 9:58Speaker 1: didn't like i don't know if he's a culture but
- 10:00Speaker 1: he acted as if she didn't like the vibe around
- 10:02Speaker 1: them or the person he became they sound like sort
- 10:05Speaker 1: of those meathead sort of guys that you'd meet at
- 10:07Speaker 1: a festival i mean i've never seen i haven't really
- 10:09Speaker 1: seen photos of them but i wouldn't be surprised the
- 10:12Speaker 1: fact that he said he didn't cheat but he'd crossed boundaries.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I reckon strip club. Maybe. What is also quite interesting
- 10:19Speaker 1: is that after the breakup with Jen, Matt was forced
- 10:22Speaker 1: to move back in with his mum, but he was
- 10:24Speaker 1: only there for four months because it took him four
- 10:26Speaker 1: months to then shack up with Tammy Hambro on the
- 10:28Speaker 1: Gold Coast. To be fair, Melbourne rent is very expensive. Yes,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it is very expensive, but the timing says a bit,
- 10:37Speaker 1: doesn't it? Yeah. Well, Matt and Tammy ended up following
- 10:40Speaker 1: each other again the next day, but it's not first
- 10:43Speaker 1: time they have unfollowed each other. So back in April,
- 10:46Speaker 1: they unfollowed one another briefly, and that was following the
- 10:50Speaker 1: infamous Grand Prix DM fiasco. It's clear that Tammy and
- 10:54Speaker 1: Matt's followers want to know what led to this most
- 10:57Speaker 1: recent unfollowing. So one person wrote under one of Matt's posts,
- 11:01Speaker 1: why have you and Tammy unfollowed each other on Instagram?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Looks as though she has deleted a lot of photos
- 11:06Speaker 1: with you as well. Now, Matt, of course, did not reply.
- 11:09Speaker 1: One listener weighed in in our Facebook community saying definitely
- 11:13Speaker 1: something fishy going on. You should not be marrying someone
- 11:16Speaker 1: if you were finding yourself unfollowing them post arguments and
- 11:19Speaker 1: then adding them after again. That would be a big
- 11:22Speaker 1: red flag for me. There is no easy or quick divorce.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I've got to say, like, I have never unfollowed Dale
- 11:28Speaker 1: off Instagram and I can't even imagine unfollowing him in
- 11:32Speaker 1: the lead up to our wedding. Particularly if you are
- 11:34Speaker 1: a public figure and people on a daily basis are
- 11:37Speaker 1: keeping track of who you're following and unfollowing. You're clearly
- 11:41Speaker 1: trying to send a message there. Yeah, it's just bizarre behavior.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Another follower, which I tend to agree with, said, Matt
- 11:46Speaker 1: is a boy, not yet a man. I feel like
- 11:49Speaker 1: there must have been a lot of pressure on them
- 11:51Speaker 1: to reconcile after this fight, particularly when their Hens party
- 11:54Speaker 1: and Bucks party was only a few days away. I mean,
- 11:57Speaker 1: Matt had people flying in from Melbourne. I'm sure there's
- 12:01Speaker 1: been a lot of money poured into the Hens party.
- 12:04Speaker 1: It looked like a very lavish event. They had caterers,
- 12:06Speaker 1: event planners. Also, there seemed to be a lot of
- 12:09Speaker 1: partnership deals riding on this Hens party and Bucks party
- 12:13Speaker 1: going ahead. So financially... And also from a business perspective,
- 12:17Speaker 1: it would have been bad to pull the pin. Well,
- 12:19Speaker 1: this party did end up eventuating and Tammy looked incredible.
- 12:24Speaker 1: So she was really vibing Marilyn Monroe, particularly with her hair.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So she wore a white mini dress from Sydney designer
- 12:31Speaker 1: Aston Bridal. And I saw their TikTok account and they
- 12:35Speaker 1: were so excited to give her this dress. Yeah, well,
- 12:38Speaker 1: it had a corset top and this little puffy skirt.
- 12:41Speaker 1: with these draping bows at the front. It appeared like
- 12:44Speaker 1: this was a partnership deal because she kept tagging them
- 12:47Speaker 1: in the posts and then she also provided them with
- 12:49Speaker 1: photos and videos for them to share on their own
- 12:51Speaker 1: social media accounts. Now Tammy's bridesmaids did an amazing job.
- 12:55Speaker 1: They organized this beautiful long lunch at a very fancy
- 12:58Speaker 1: house on the Gold Coast. I wondered if it was
- 13:00Speaker 1: Tammy's house. It looked a lot like hers. No, it
- 13:03Speaker 1: wouldn't have been her house. It was a different house
- 13:05Speaker 1: that they'd hired out and they had an event company
- 13:08Speaker 1: called Next Event. It was very aesthetic looking. And as
- 13:12Speaker 1: I said earlier, there were just so many sponsorship deals
- 13:14Speaker 1: going on. So they had in the roundhouse who appeared
- 13:17Speaker 1: to supply all of the crockery and they also had
- 13:20Speaker 1: two chefs there. They were cooking up the long lunch
- 13:23Speaker 1: in the kitchen and Tammy tagged them as well. Just
- 13:26Speaker 1: to point out though, because we got so many influencers
- 13:27Speaker 1: who contact us and they're like, No, I was just
- 13:29Speaker 1: being nice and tagging them. So in Tammy's defense, she
- 13:32Speaker 1: may have just tagged them because they were doing a
- 13:34Speaker 1: good job. We don't know. I think she paid for
- 13:36Speaker 1: hair and makeup. I think often people just tag hair
- 13:39Speaker 1: and makeup because they build a connection with them and
- 13:41Speaker 1: a bit of a friendship whilst they're doing it. But
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't think that she's just tagging a caterer willy-nilly.
- 13:47Speaker 1: One of the cool details I liked from the bridesmaids
- 13:49Speaker 1: was that they created a cocktail list which was named
- 13:52Speaker 1: after Tammy's hall passes. And I don't know if I
- 13:55Speaker 1: rate some of these hall passes. Like there's Keanu Reeves,
- 13:58Speaker 1: Patrick Dempsey, Pedro Pascal. I don't even know who John
- 14:02Speaker 1: Kransky is. Is that how you say his name?
- 14:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I had to Google them as well. They're on the
- 14:07Speaker 1: older side, but I feel like Keanu Reeves is maybe
- 14:10Speaker 1: one of her old school hall passes. He seemed to
- 14:13Speaker 1: be quite popular, you know, back in the day. Now,
- 14:17Speaker 1: Anna McAvoy didn't make a surprise appearance. It looked like
- 14:20Speaker 1: it was a very intimate group of girls. I was
- 14:23Speaker 1: surprised to see Lily Brown there though. I didn't realize
- 14:26Speaker 1: they were so close. I know that she attended their
- 14:29Speaker 1: New Year's party, but I wouldn't have had her on
- 14:32Speaker 1: my list of people I expected to see there, particularly
- 14:34Speaker 1: because Anna didn't get an invite.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Well, I'm assuming Anna didn't go to Matt's thing. No,
- 14:39Speaker 1: there was only one photo that Matt posted the next
- 14:42Speaker 1: day of what looked like to be a bit of
- 14:44Speaker 1: a piss up. And the friends were just what you'd expect.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And he was wearing a convict outfit. Like on his podcast,
- 14:52Speaker 1: he said that he wanted to wear like a Western outfit,
- 14:54Speaker 1: but it's clear that his friends really didn't organize anything.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So I'm guessing that the convict is the old, like, oh,
- 15:00Speaker 1: the old ball and chain. She's locked me down. His
- 15:03Speaker 1: groomsmen might've organized his costume for him. Like they obviously
- 15:07Speaker 1: always stitch up the groom. I enjoyed all of the
- 15:09Speaker 1: social media content that came up because there was one
- 15:12Speaker 1: video which Tammy shared and she was up on a
- 15:15Speaker 1: chair dancing to Shania Twain. And she legitimately looked like
- 15:19Speaker 1: she was having a really good time. That's really as
- 15:21Speaker 1: rowdy as it got. And it seemed like the whole
- 15:24Speaker 1: joint Hux party was a bit of an afterthought. It
- 15:27Speaker 1: seemed like they were all very intoxicated when they got
- 15:29Speaker 1: there because after the lunch, Tammy then moved on to
- 15:33Speaker 1: the Star Gold Coast and they'd set up this beautiful
- 15:36Speaker 1: room with her. Again, I think this was also another
- 15:39Speaker 1: sponsorship deal because she was tagging them and they had
- 15:41Speaker 1: this huge suite And her bridesmaids had set up all
- 15:44Speaker 1: these white balloons and they had these cute photos of
- 15:46Speaker 1: Tammy and Matt's faces. But it just seemed like, you know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: when you're day drinking and it's just gone on for
- 15:53Speaker 1: too long and everyone's getting really messy. Like I just
- 15:55Speaker 1: kind of got those vibes. And Emily actually left the party. Oh, really?
- 16:00Speaker 1: So she stayed for the lunch and then She basically
- 16:04Speaker 1: said that she had escaped the hens to join her
- 16:06Speaker 1: husband at dinner. I'm guessing they're probably debriefing about the
- 16:10Speaker 1: whole thing.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Well, that doesn't sound good. I mean, the Daily Mail
- 16:13Speaker 1: have been trying to paint the event as some big
- 16:15Speaker 1: flop because they put up a whole load of paparazzi
- 16:18Speaker 1: shots and Tammy appeared to be crying in the photos
- 16:21Speaker 1: when she met up with Matt, but I don't buy
- 16:25Speaker 1: it because There were so many different photos in different
- 16:28Speaker 1: articles that they shared. And in one, she's kissing him
- 16:30Speaker 1: and smiling. And in the next, she looks like she's teary.
- 16:34Speaker 1: To be honest, I think she was touching her fake eyelashes.
- 16:36Speaker 1: That's all I think it was. I thought it looked
- 16:38Speaker 1: like he had given her a bracelet and she was like,
- 16:41Speaker 1: oh my God, thank you so much. Like she'd probably
- 16:43Speaker 1: been drunk. So it was a bit teary at the
- 16:45Speaker 1: sight of seeing her fiance. Well, the Daily Mail went
- 16:47Speaker 1: as far as quoting an anonymous insider who said that
- 16:50Speaker 1: Tammy was visibly upset and Matt was trying to comfort
- 16:54Speaker 1: her but it was clear that she didn't want his
- 16:56Speaker 1: affection and turned her back on him. Was the source
- 16:58Speaker 1: the photographer? Yeah, exactly. Well, they then also claimed that
- 17:02Speaker 1: another insider said that the whole blow up and the
- 17:05Speaker 1: unfollowing fiasco was down to Tammy bringing up a prenup. Look,
- 17:09Speaker 1: it's a really hard one because no one actually knows
- 17:12Speaker 1: what's going on in their lives, but that's why they
- 17:15Speaker 1: need to be really careful about the way that they
- 17:18Speaker 1: talk about their relationship online and also all of this
- 17:21Speaker 1: unfollowing business because people read so much into it. And
- 17:24Speaker 1: I know they've been sharing a few TikToks where they've
- 17:27Speaker 1: reacted to some of the media coverage as if they
- 17:29Speaker 1: don't care. But unfortunately, they're bringing it on a lot themselves.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Another thing the Daily Mail did that I thought was
- 17:36Speaker 1: really gross is that they captured photos of Tammy entering
- 17:40Speaker 1: her hen's lunch and they basically upskirted her. So she
- 17:43Speaker 1: was walking up this little staircase to enter the house
- 17:46Speaker 1: and they snapped in an upwards direction. So you could
- 17:49Speaker 1: literally see the outline of her bum. And I just
- 17:52Speaker 1: thought it was foul because, you know, she's got this
- 17:55Speaker 1: beautiful dress on. She is potentially unaware that presumably these
- 18:01Speaker 1: men are taking these photos of her and then they
- 18:03Speaker 1: just post them as if it's nothing. It's just, it's
- 18:05Speaker 1: really tacky and gross and just objectifying her. And I
- 18:08Speaker 1: think this is also why Tammy felt the need to
- 18:11Speaker 1: upload photos and Instagram stories on the day of the
- 18:14Speaker 1: hens because she probably wanted to get in first. Now,
- 18:17Speaker 1: the day after the hens, she also uploaded a carousel.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And as the caption, she wrote, Just call me Mrs. Zukowski.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And that seemed to elicit a really strong response from followers.
- 18:29Speaker 1: One wrote, please do a prenup. You may not want
- 18:31Speaker 1: to listen to anyone, but it covers your babies and
- 18:33Speaker 1: you worked hard for what you have before anyone came along.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Whilst another said, Tammy Zukowski doesn't hit. Now, Tammy ended
- 18:42Speaker 1: up replying to that comment and said, does for me
- 18:44Speaker 1: with a drooling face. Do you actually think she's going
- 18:47Speaker 1: to change her name?
- 18:48Speaker 2: She is.
- 18:48Speaker 1: So when she appeared on Matt's podcast at the start
- 18:51Speaker 1: of the year, she said that legally she'll be changing
- 18:53Speaker 1: her name to Tammy Zukowski. But it sounds like for
- 18:57Speaker 1: social media stuff, she'll keep it Hembro because it's too confusing.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Just a decision Josh and I made. Fitness mogul Steph
- 19:05Speaker 1: Claire Smith has revealed she will no longer be sharing
- 19:08Speaker 1: her son Harvey's face online. The three-year-old has been a
- 19:11Speaker 1: fixture on both Steph and her husband Josh's social media channels, Now,
- 19:16Speaker 1: Steph opened up about the decision in a question and answer.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Here's what she said.
- 19:21Speaker 2: And this has just been because he's gotten to an
- 19:23Speaker 2: age now where he's a little boy. He's quite recognizable.
- 19:32Speaker 2: And people have obviously absolutely meant well. But people who
- 19:36Speaker 2: have recognized me or recognized Harvey have kind of gone up.
- 19:40Speaker 1: To him and said, Hi, Harvey. And I just started to.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Think about how uncomfortable I felt with, like, especially when
- 19:46Speaker 2: there was times when I wasn't with him or Josh
- 19:48Speaker 2: and I weren't with him. And he was out with like,
- 19:51Speaker 2: I don't know, a nanny or a family member or
- 19:53Speaker 2: even at daycare. And someone would go up to him
- 19:56Speaker 2: and say, hi, Harvey. I feel like for a kid,
- 19:57Speaker 2: that would just be so confusing if strangers were coming
- 20:00Speaker 2: up to you and knowing your name.
- 20:02Speaker 1: That would be really unsettling to have people coming up
- 20:05Speaker 1: to your child, particularly when you're not there. Like what
- 20:07Speaker 1: a weird situation to be in. I mean, I'm sure
- 20:10Speaker 1: that people have the right intentions, but I don't think
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'd ever walk up to a child who I'd seen
- 20:14Speaker 1: on social media and just try and talk to. I
- 20:17Speaker 1: actually remember we were shooting a video at a childcare
- 20:20Speaker 1: centre and there was an Adelaide Influencers child there and
- 20:24Speaker 1: I recognised the kid instantly. But there's no way I
- 20:26Speaker 1: would have acknowledged it and spoken to him. It's weird.
- 20:30Speaker 1: And it'd be so confusing and it would give them
- 20:32Speaker 1: this really strange view of the world because then do
- 20:35Speaker 1: they just assume that everyone knows who they are? Now,
- 20:38Speaker 1: Steph continued saying that the situation also made it difficult
- 20:42Speaker 1: to teach him about stranger danger and who he can trust.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And it would be like, how do you, how can
- 20:48Speaker 1: you say, oh, don't worry, the people that come up
- 20:50Speaker 1: to you are nice. Yeah, but also potentially dangerous. But
- 20:53Speaker 1: if someone came up to him and said, hey, Harvey,
- 20:55Speaker 1: your mum has asked me to come and pick you up,
- 20:57Speaker 1: the kid would be like, oh, okay, I'll just go
- 20:59Speaker 1: with you. It really does show that by sharing a
- 21:02Speaker 1: kid online, that they are just so easily recognisable. Especially
- 21:06Speaker 1: when you've got millions and millions of followers. I mean,
- 21:09Speaker 1: Steph is one of the, I think, the most well-known
- 21:11Speaker 1: Australian influencers. I think she's a celebrity as well. She's
- 21:14Speaker 1: a famous model. And it also really shows this strange
- 21:19Speaker 1: parasocial relationship you can build with a child. I mean,
- 21:22Speaker 1: we've literally heard about Steph's pregnancies. We've heard her birth story.
- 21:27Speaker 1: We've seen photos of him brought home from the hospital.
- 21:29Speaker 1: We've heard about his tantrums. Like we have had a
- 21:32Speaker 1: fly on the wall look into this little kid's life,
- 21:35Speaker 1: which actually sounds so weird when you say it out loud.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And also Harvey's been a big part of her husband,
- 21:41Speaker 1: Josh's social media content, because On his TikTok, he was
- 21:44Speaker 1: sharing a lot of videos of his son sitting down
- 21:47Speaker 1: while he made a coffee. Well, a lot of them
- 21:49Speaker 1: were paid partnerships as well, which I totally understand because
- 21:52Speaker 1: Josh is the full-time stay-at-home dad. So obviously he's wanting
- 21:56Speaker 1: to work out a way that he can make money
- 21:58Speaker 1: whilst raising Harvey. And I think what has really added
- 22:01Speaker 1: to this parasocial relationship with this family is the fact
- 22:04Speaker 1: that Steph often opens up about her struggles as a mum.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And I think the reason she does this is because,
- 22:11Speaker 1: you know, she's a model, she's stunning, she's got abs.
- 22:13Speaker 1: She's got this $ 5 million house. So she's trying to
- 22:16Speaker 1: find some relatability by talking about her struggles as a mum.
- 22:20Speaker 1: But is it her trying to find relatability or is
- 22:22Speaker 1: it her just actually sharing about her life organically and
- 22:25Speaker 1: these things have popped up and she wants to talk
- 22:27Speaker 1: about them? I don't think she's that strategic. I don't
- 22:31Speaker 1: think there's anything wrong with being strategic. I'm just more
- 22:34Speaker 1: saying that I think that Kik have tried to build
- 22:37Speaker 1: this platform on relatability and it would be really hard
- 22:40Speaker 1: when maybe your life isn't that relatable and I think
- 22:43Speaker 1: that she is trying to create a community of mums
- 22:46Speaker 1: and and also that's her new life now so that's
- 22:49Speaker 1: also why she's sharing about it well do you think
- 22:51Speaker 1: she's going to have an issue though because she has
- 22:53Speaker 1: been sharing his face and about him for such a
- 22:56Speaker 1: long time now I would argue he's going to be
- 22:59Speaker 1: recognizable for a good number of years and especially like
- 23:03Speaker 1: even I've seen for example Leighton Hewitt and Beck Hewitt's
- 23:07Speaker 1: child Mia. She was photographed all the time at the
- 23:10Speaker 1: Oz Open and now they're even following her around as
- 23:13Speaker 1: an 18-year-old. The paparazzi seem to be obsessed with her.
- 23:15Speaker 1: It's so weird because it's not as if she's in
- 23:17Speaker 1: the public eye for her career or anything. They literally
- 23:20Speaker 1: waited until she turned 18 and then have all these
- 23:23Speaker 1: gross shots of her at the beach. It is awful. Well,
- 23:25Speaker 1: it's because she looks nothing like Leighton and Beck and
- 23:27Speaker 1: she's like, look, she kind of does. It's because she's
- 23:29Speaker 1: out partying as well. She's always smoking and stuff. They
- 23:32Speaker 1: love it. As most 18-year-olds are. But getting back to this,
- 23:35Speaker 1: I think because she's made a lot of headlines by
- 23:39Speaker 1: talking about him, because we spoke about it last year
- 23:42Speaker 1: where she said flippantly, oh, my toddler can be a
- 23:45Speaker 1: total psycho. And that made a headline. And a lot
- 23:48Speaker 1: of mums related to it and said that they actually
- 23:50Speaker 1: felt very heard. And then recently she generated quite a
- 23:54Speaker 1: big response by taking her son to the gym with her.
- 23:56Speaker 1: And we spoke about that as well. And Many mums
- 23:59Speaker 1: sided with her and said that they should be allowed
- 24:01Speaker 1: to go to the gym and it's really difficult for mums.
- 24:03Speaker 1: So it's really hard because it has become part of
- 24:05Speaker 1: her brand. So I wonder whether she will not be
- 24:09Speaker 1: sharing his face, but still be talking about him.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And it seems like Steph is also thinking ahead to
- 24:14Speaker 1: when Harvey goes to school, which isn't that far away
- 24:17Speaker 1: because she said that she's concerned that her being so
- 24:20Speaker 1: open about him could affect him in the schoolyard. Here's
- 24:23Speaker 1: what she said. He's also coming close to that school age. So, um,
- 24:28Speaker 1: like kids talk and they chat.
- 24:30Speaker 3: And, um, I know that with my profile, like the
- 24:35Speaker 3: likelihood of people bringing up to like coming up to
- 24:39Speaker 3: him in school or whatever and saying like your mom
- 24:42Speaker 3: does this or whatever.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Um, that's like one thing that I know, well, depending
- 24:47Speaker 2: on where I'll be in a couple of years, um,
- 24:50Speaker 2: that he might have to deal with, let alone like
- 24:52Speaker 2: him being all over my page as well.
- 24:54Speaker 1: And then, having access to that. I wonder if this
- 24:59Speaker 1: is in reference to some of the intimate topics that
- 25:02Speaker 1: she and her co-host Laura Henshaw share on their podcast,
- 25:05Speaker 1: because they've been promoting their podcast with a lot of
- 25:08Speaker 1: viral clips and a lot of the time it is
- 25:10Speaker 1: about their sex life. And it's proving to be a
- 25:12Speaker 1: very successful strategy for them. They're getting a lot of clicks,
- 25:15Speaker 1: a lot of views. I mean, personally, it makes me
- 25:18Speaker 1: want to tune in to hear about it. Everyone wants
- 25:20Speaker 1: the juicy details, don't they? Well, you know, they recently– well,
- 25:23Speaker 1: I think it was last year that they spoke about
- 25:24Speaker 1: that sex challenge that she and Josh did and I
- 25:27Speaker 1: fucking was hooked. I was like, oh, my God, this
- 25:28Speaker 1: is so juicy. Well, it must be so weird as
- 25:31Speaker 1: well when you have kids and they start off being
- 25:33Speaker 1: so young and not understanding anything and then the realisation–
- 25:37Speaker 1: that wait a sec, they're going to grow up and
- 25:38Speaker 1: they're going to be able to Google you and they're
- 25:40Speaker 1: going to hear all of the things that you've said.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Imagine reading that about your parents, oh, that they had
- 25:43Speaker 1: a sex challenge. I would not want to hear about
- 25:45Speaker 1: that at all. No child should have to read that. No,
- 25:48Speaker 1: but could you imagine in the schoolyard? I mean, a
- 25:50Speaker 1: lot of this information could be used as fodder against
- 25:53Speaker 1: a kid. I mean, hopefully not at five. No, but
- 25:56Speaker 1: I mean, kids, they have access to social media. It
- 25:59Speaker 1: is wild stuff that comes out of young kids' mouths.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Like our mum's a teacher and she can't believe some
- 26:05Speaker 1: of the stuff that these young kids know. Do you
- 26:07Speaker 1: think Steph's going to go back and archive old photos
- 26:10Speaker 1: of him or is it just moving forward she's not
- 26:12Speaker 1: going to show him anymore? I reckon it'll just be
- 26:15Speaker 1: a moving forward thing. I've noticed on her social media
- 26:18Speaker 1: she'll still share photos of him but his face will
- 26:21Speaker 1: be more concealed, like he'll be turning his head or
- 26:24Speaker 1: she'll have writing over the top of it. I think
- 26:26Speaker 1: it is a positive that they've made this decision. It's
- 26:28Speaker 1: really responsible to shut it down now because they're almost
- 26:32Speaker 1: having to say, look, we made a mistake by sharing
- 26:34Speaker 1: too much, which is really commendable to put your hands
- 26:37Speaker 1: up and say, you've probably done the wrong thing. And
- 26:39Speaker 1: I just think ultimately it's really sad that people have
- 26:42Speaker 1: to be so careful, but it is just the reality
- 26:45Speaker 1: of social media.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Hey guys, it's been a hot minute since I've been
- 26:50Speaker 2: on TikTok, but I'm relaunching myself.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Controversial Slickstick owner Mia Plesic has made a very odd
- 26:57Speaker 1: business move, launching a new mothering Instagram account with, wait
- 27:01Speaker 1: for it Sophie, the same name as Australia's biggest women's
- 27:05Speaker 1: media publication. Yeah, this is just wild. So Mia launched
- 27:10Speaker 1: this account on Friday and called it Mama Mia at Home,
- 27:14Speaker 1: which of course is the same name as Mia Friedman's
- 27:18Speaker 1: media company, Mama Mia, which has been in business for
- 27:21Speaker 1: For 17 years. Now, the bio of the account read,
- 27:25Speaker 1: busy working mama with a passion for her baby's health
- 27:28Speaker 1: and wellbeing. Follow for recipe hacks and tips. Now, surely
- 27:33Speaker 1: Mia is aware of Mama Mia. Like, you'd have to
- 27:36Speaker 1: be living under a rock to not have heard of
- 27:39Speaker 1: this women's media publication.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I mean, it's a.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Hugely successful news website and also a podcast network. I
- 27:45Speaker 1: don't really think that you can claim, oh, sorry, I
- 27:47Speaker 1: haven't heard of them. Yeah, I just don't get it because-
- 27:49Speaker 1: She surely knows about them. So she's just made this
- 27:52Speaker 1: decision anyway. I mean, why would you even want to
- 27:55Speaker 1: have the same handle as Mama Mia? It's so confusing.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I mean, at this stage, it is just an Instagram account,
- 28:01Speaker 1: but she is a serial entrepreneur and it's clear that
- 28:04Speaker 1: she'll be eventually looking to monetize it and grow it.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And I really feel like these days, Instagram mother accounts,
- 28:11Speaker 1: they are really the modern day equivalent of blog sites.
- 28:14Speaker 1: And that is fundamentally what Mamma Mia started off as.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And then they turned into a larger media company. But
- 28:20Speaker 1: regardless of if she turns it into a company, why
- 28:23Speaker 1: would she want to have the same name as the
- 28:26Speaker 1: biggest women's media publication in the country? I mean, is
- 28:28Speaker 1: she that fucking unaware? It's pretty brazen considering she has
- 28:32Speaker 1: a history of sending out cease and desist letters to
- 28:35Speaker 1: anyone who sells a similar product to her or a
- 28:38Speaker 1: business she doesn't agree with. I actually don't think she's
- 28:42Speaker 1: unaware of Mamma Mia. I think that she is being
- 28:45Speaker 1: strategic because- How? How is it strategic? Let me explain
- 28:48Speaker 1: it to you. She has received so much bad publicity
- 28:51Speaker 1: over the years that a source has told me that
- 28:53Speaker 1: she and her husband, Justin, have allegedly invested a lot
- 28:56Speaker 1: of money in SEO so that when businesses search for them,
- 29:00Speaker 1: all the negative shit doesn't come up. So if she
- 29:03Speaker 1: takes on a name that is already popular, like Mama Mia,
- 29:07Speaker 1: people are going to be searching for Mama Mia at
- 29:09Speaker 1: home instead of Mia Plesik and none of the negative
- 29:12Speaker 1: shit's going to come up. And also Mama Mia is
- 29:15Speaker 1: already a term that has a lot of traction with it. Well,
- 29:18Speaker 1: it's interesting because I just did a search of Mia
- 29:20Speaker 1: Plesik and there's only positive articles which have shown up
- 29:24Speaker 1: so far. So the SEO team are clearly doing their job.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I really feel for Mia Friedman and Mama Mia because
- 29:30Speaker 1: I would not want anyone to think that my brand
- 29:34Speaker 1: is affiliated with hers. And I don't necessarily think at
- 29:37Speaker 1: this stage that it's a breach of trademark. laws because
- 29:41Speaker 1: it is just an Instagram account, but it definitely generates
- 29:44Speaker 1: a lot of confusion. And if she has plans to
- 29:47Speaker 1: grow this account, it could turn into a business that
- 29:50Speaker 1: will then make it an issue. Well, it seems like
- 29:52Speaker 1: Mama Mia's lawyers must've got onto it pretty quickly because
- 29:55Speaker 1: When I checked on Friday, the account was already down.
- 29:59Speaker 1: They definitely got onto it quick considering it was a
- 30:01Speaker 1: public holiday. It's very clear from this move that Mia
- 30:04Speaker 1: wants to enter the mummy blogging space and she's already
- 30:08Speaker 1: been sharing a lot of her very strong views about
- 30:11Speaker 1: food and the uses of plastic on her main account
- 30:14Speaker 1: and she is strongly against manufactured baby food. And she
- 30:18Speaker 1: makes all of her own organic homemade solids. So that's
- 30:21Speaker 1: the next thing. That's the next business. She's going to
- 30:24Speaker 1: have a baby food brand. Yeah. Well, that's a very
- 30:26Speaker 1: good point. Yeah, because she wanks on about all of
- 30:28Speaker 1: this organic food. And before announcing her new venture on Friday,
- 30:33Speaker 1: she shared that she was cooking up bone broth for
- 30:35Speaker 1: her son as well as organic chicken liver. And she
- 30:38Speaker 1: shared this whole rant about plastic. So she said that
- 30:42Speaker 1: she is highly against plastics for her son. And she
- 30:45Speaker 1: said that microplastics are a huge problem that isn't taken
- 30:49Speaker 1: seriously enough. She continued saying that everything of her son's
- 30:52Speaker 1: is either glass, silicon or stainless steel. Now, this is
- 30:56Speaker 1: despite the fact that the previous Instagram story showed that
- 31:00Speaker 1: his vegetables were stored in plastic Ziploc bags. And she said, oh, no, no,
- 31:04Speaker 1: but my jars are arriving tomorrow. Now, she also revealed
- 31:08Speaker 1: that she'd purchased a stainless steel sippy cup to replace
- 31:12Speaker 1: the plastic one that she'd been using on her European vacation.
- 31:15Speaker 1: as that's all she could find there. She prefaced by
- 31:18Speaker 1: saying that she bought him a new plastic bottle every
- 31:21Speaker 1: few days and threw out the old ones because she
- 31:24Speaker 1: was so afraid of the microplastics breaking down in the water.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Doesn't that sound great for the environment? Why does this
- 31:30Speaker 1: just remind me of those TikToks which show people in
- 31:34Speaker 1: 2005 as teenagers and they're drinking like Red Bull and
- 31:37Speaker 1: eating Cheetos and then now in their 30s, like everything
- 31:40Speaker 1: must be organic. Yeah. Well, she also said that she'd
- 31:42Speaker 1: thrown out all of her non-stick pans that she only
- 31:45Speaker 1: uses stainless steel ones. She's throwing out her plastic utensils
- 31:49Speaker 1: and tupperware and bottles. It is giving very much vibes
- 31:53Speaker 1: of being a first time mom. I think she's gone
- 31:55Speaker 1: down one of those TikTok holes. I often get stuck
- 31:57Speaker 1: in those where everything you can think of in your
- 32:00Speaker 1: house is apparently toxic. She's even throwing out his soft toys,
- 32:04Speaker 1: which hurts my heart. So She's learnt that polyester is plastic,
- 32:07Speaker 1: so they'll be the next to go and his only
- 32:09Speaker 1: toys are silicon or wood. Wait a sec, isn't her
- 32:12Speaker 1: whole Slick Stick products made out of plastic? Exactly. Now,
- 32:17Speaker 1: in this post, she continued saying, I'm so passionate about
- 32:20Speaker 1: my little man's health. He has never drank tap water,
- 32:23Speaker 1: only filtered. I don't even know what this is. canned
- 32:25Speaker 1: gan or spring water. He's never eaten anything other than food.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I've cooked him all my breast milk. All the ingredients
- 32:32Speaker 1: are certified organic. His nappies are all natural cotton with
- 32:35Speaker 1: no dyes. I only use natural water wipes that are biodegradable.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Does she think that that makes up for the tens
- 32:41Speaker 1: of baby plastic baby bottles that she throw out during
- 32:44Speaker 1: her weeks in Europe? Like, Oh, thank God. I don't
- 32:47Speaker 1: want to judge her because I have this fear that
- 32:50Speaker 1: I'm going to turn into an earth mother when I
- 32:52Speaker 1: have children and There's something, I don't know, there's something
- 32:55Speaker 1: about it that I think people's minds flick over and
- 32:58Speaker 1: they go, I need to protect this baby at all accounts.
- 33:01Speaker 1: The only thing I find funny about it is that
- 33:03Speaker 1: regardless of how much you shelter your child from having
- 33:06Speaker 1: plastics or whatever she's doing, one day they're going to
- 33:11Speaker 1: turn into a teenager who goes to McDonald's. Like it's
- 33:13Speaker 1: just the reality. I agree to some extent. I think
- 33:17Speaker 1: that it's quite noble to find out what you're feeding
- 33:20Speaker 1: your kids and everyone has the choice of what products
- 33:22Speaker 1: and things that they feel comfortable with. I just feel
- 33:25Speaker 1: like knowing her and her background, it all sounds really
- 33:28Speaker 1: extreme and almost conspiracy theory-esque, particularly as she's a known anti-vaxxer.
- 33:35Speaker 1: She's marched an anti-lockdown protest and she was trying to
- 33:37Speaker 1: get a black market doctor to give her a COVID passport.
- 33:40Speaker 1: That's how extreme she gets. And I sort of feel
- 33:42Speaker 1: like saying, well, you're saying you care so much about
- 33:44Speaker 1: your son's health, yet you haven't even got him fucking vaccinated. Well,
- 33:47Speaker 1: on that issue, I do find it irritating when I
- 33:51Speaker 1: see some mums copying online though when they do pack
- 33:54Speaker 1: their kid a healthy lunchbox because who cops it for
- 33:56Speaker 1: packing the kid a healthy lunch? Sarah's day is actually
- 33:58Speaker 1: one of them I saw a recent TikTok and she
- 34:00Speaker 1: was showing all these healthy things that she's packed Fox
- 34:03Speaker 1: for his lunch and so many people were like tearing
- 34:06Speaker 1: her to shreds and then I saw one comment that
- 34:08Speaker 1: was like wait a sec like why are we tearing
- 34:11Speaker 1: women apart for actually giving their kids good nutritious food
- 34:14Speaker 1: and I actually 100% agree because sometimes you see these
- 34:18Speaker 1: lunchboxes and it's like pack 10 ton of tiny teddies
- 34:22Speaker 1: and everything's processed and whatever. And I understand that kids
- 34:24Speaker 1: need treats, but why is it that we're so critical
- 34:27Speaker 1: when other people go the other way and they try
- 34:29Speaker 1: and be healthy? Do you know why it is? It
- 34:30Speaker 1: is because of this, is the word motorboating? This absolute
- 34:34Speaker 1: like motorboating of it. It's like only- Pretentiousness.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Look at my perfect lunchbox that I've spent all of
- 34:41Speaker 1: this money and time doing. Like a lot of mums
- 34:43Speaker 1: are time poor. And the thing that people don't like
- 34:47Speaker 1: is the broadcasting about it on social media because it
- 34:50Speaker 1: turns into mum shaming because it's sort of like, well,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you're a shit mum if you have a plastic bottle
- 34:55Speaker 1: for your kid. This is what I do. When it
- 34:57Speaker 1: goes too far, I do understand that. But I think
- 34:59Speaker 1: sometimes there should be more education around, for example, it's
- 35:03Speaker 1: probably not a good thing to give your kids so
- 35:06Speaker 1: much food containing sugar for their lunch break because they're
- 35:08Speaker 1: going to be bouncing off the walls. This isn't about
- 35:11Speaker 1: sugar though. This is about shaming and putting pressure on
- 35:13Speaker 1: mums who are also probably trying their best and probably
- 35:15Speaker 1: don't have enough money to buy a plastic bottle every
- 35:18Speaker 1: couple of days and then dispose of it with no
- 35:20Speaker 1: care for the environment. Yeah. Everyone has the resources to
- 35:24Speaker 1: live this clean lifestyle. All I'm saying is I'm all
- 35:26Speaker 1: for education online about nutrition. And I think that sometimes
- 35:29Speaker 1: there does need to be better education for parents and
- 35:32Speaker 1: also children about what they're putting in their bodies. Well, Amy,
- 35:35Speaker 1: there might be an account for you to follow. A
- 35:37Speaker 1: newly renamed Mamma Mia at home. I'm not interested in
- 35:42Speaker 1: following that account. Do we need another Pete Evans? Like
- 35:46Speaker 1: he's sort of just disappeared. Do we need another one?
- 35:48Speaker 1: Just have someone that's a bit less extreme about it
- 35:50Speaker 1: and I would definitely follow them. I'm all for the
- 35:53Speaker 1: chaotic mums. I would rather see a chaotic mum who's
- 35:55Speaker 1: trying her best and is perhaps throwing some shapes or
- 35:58Speaker 1: some tiny teddies in with an apple. It's all about balance.
- 36:01Speaker 1: That's what people don't seem to get.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Well, I think that's all we've got time for today.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening to another episode. If
- 36:08Speaker 1: you have enjoyed it, could you please make sure you
- 36:10Speaker 1: are subscribed on Apple Podcasts and also Spotify. And thank
- 36:13Speaker 1: you so much again for everyone who has been leaving
- 36:15Speaker 1: us the nicest reviews. It honestly makes my day. Thank
- 36:18Speaker 1: you very much. If you haven't left a review yet,
- 36:21Speaker 1: it sounds quite greedy and thirsty of me, but could
- 36:23Speaker 1: you please leave one because it does really help our podcast.
- 36:26Speaker 1: This episode was recorded on the traditional land of the
- 36:28Speaker 1: Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to
