- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: How is my mic?
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, that's fine.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, I can hear you at all, so it's perfect.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: Hello and welcome back to your one and only source.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: We are your hosts.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Phoebe and my name is Caroline.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: And while we're finally meeting again on a Tuesday, hello everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: Have you missed us?
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, Caroline and I have been on the phone for however long,
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: a happy what why don't we work today oh I don't wish anybody a happy day that that has that word of it for me for you you'll meet a wish you a happy president stay as a president yeah president of what
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: The student body, the class, who are you in a row?
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, it was so not important to me that I completely forgot.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you haven't wished me a happy residence day.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: What were you president enough?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Currently, President of the Carolin Show.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean what were you the president of?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: I luckily don't have to say in the past tense.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: You, on the other hand,
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, look, I'm bringing you a place.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: We'll find you someplace to rain, okay?
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: But it sure is hell isn't here on this podcast.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha, this game.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just kidding.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe is in charge of me.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: I know it might not seem like that.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: To anyone else.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know that op, a bit optic, hey, you know what they say?
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: Don't judge a book by its cover.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe's in charge of me.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: And she scares the living daylight out of me too.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Every time they're like, have you ever seen a movie horrible bosses?
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, don't need to.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: I just really don't need to know exactly what it's like.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm about my sister.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, so here we are.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: I know we're not recording this action on Tuesday, but like the thought of the tell me lies finale being out into the world as people listen to this.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I stay out for that tonight.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: I do every week.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't last week, but I might tonight.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I just, okay, here's what I do need to say from like a social media marketing perspective, a little tip for the Tell Me Lies team.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: I get what you were trying to do with Groundhog Day.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: They posted something saying like six more weeks of Steven, six more weeks of whatever, but that's not the truth.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not true, apparently.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: So we were all horrified to find out the finale is this week.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I just feel like that,
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, he was a big mistake.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: I know what you were trying to do when I respected, but if you're going to do that, you better back it up with six more weeks of tell me lies.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really tired of the eight episode seasons of any show.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's not enough.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: Ten.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, minimum.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: Absolute minimum.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: 15, not the medium, but realistically, I want 25.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, of course.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing is that if it's truly a limited series we're getting one season, I will accept eight.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: But like, no less.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because then, and your brain is already like, ready to realize it, like, exactly.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, it's kind of the game.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's a long movie, at that point.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: Precisely, I get it, but release it.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't, but I'm wondering how they're kind of acting like they might.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they showed they know what's good for them.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm saying Megan Oppenheimer said something where she was like,
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: In Hey girl, I'll believe it when I freaking see it that you think that this ending is going to say she ate us and we're going to be like everything's tied up and I'm going to see a nice and dead in a ditch because if not, I don't think I'll be that dangerous.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: She was like I think it was a good ending.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: We could end here, but there are other avenues.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like there are other things that we could explore and I'm like, well, yeah.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like, briggly?
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: But you're going to show us that.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: And also, is this episode just an hour like everything else?
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it better be three.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, this episode better be three hours more.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: Minimum.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Minimum.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I'm saying.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it's nice because we've gotten a lot of people who I think have started watching tell me lies because we can't shut up about it, but then a lot of people that were also probably already watching it, but loving it.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: So you're enjoying this.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: And so tell me lies content for us is probably over after next week, but like hopefully not.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's really talking about it.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a good show.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: It is such a good show.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: It really is.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: And like
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: I did take you a second to get into it.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: My wrong about that.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, you said that last week too.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just think I There was another show that started around the time.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me lies started there both on Hulu and one was about adults And there was like lied to me that had me confused for all that show and I wasn't interested in that agree No, but so once you told me I think I had written it off, but once I started watching it, I was
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Chloe told me to watch it.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, I can't actually can't believe you're not watching it.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then I told Phoebe and Amber to watch it.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: And let me tell you, the situation room group chat is is alive and well.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, actually, if you wouldn't.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's going on in the 20 corner of the world.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's just in my pinned conversations on my phone.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's so informative.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like it.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: It started with Big Brother and we were like, yeah, it's probably a dormant in the off season.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Of course not.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, well, somebody's off season is somebody else's on season.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: And so we keep it active and we are up to date on, I mean, one of us is scouring every corner of the internet at all times.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: So like, that group chat is just right with information, right with the word.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's right.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, who cares?
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, do you have any guesses for what's going to happen in the finale?
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, because I still feel like there's like the school year's not even over.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: I can play so much that needs to happen.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean this is going to be?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: And also we haven't gone to 2015 in weeks.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: I need to know like how exactly we get to this wedding.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I just yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't think an hour is enough.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: to tell that story, to connect those lines.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think we need four more seasons, at least.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Four more seasons, you heard it here first.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: You're on an only source, four more seasons of.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Well, in Phoebe news, I finished Breaking Bad.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I watched El Camino, as you did.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I texted you about it yesterday.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you told me that you had a gripe about it, but I don't think, did you tell me you watched it?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was actively watching it when I texted.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that just sounds like a stupid that it took so long.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: I do feel that way.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I've tried to completely different.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: And like if you were going to do a sequel seven years after it, you couldn't then put us back.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Jesse Plumman was so young when he did that role.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: So like this seven years, he would just look so much older.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: What it didn't pull was more viable because Jessie had aged so much by the end of the show and like was weathered and worn down.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: But what did you think of the not about Camino because I never watched it, but about the finale, like about the ending of Breaking Bad?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it seemed perfect.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: To me it seemed like that's exactly what they thought was going to happen when they started the show and that's always to me that's a good indicator of a good finale.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't feel like...
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Walter didn't have an evil twin that was doing this the whole time and I had a period of time and he said hello sister we didn't have to hello brother hello brother oh yeah in the danger we didn't have to hear that or anything which was good I like wait he dies right Walter right now is in the Jesse rides off in the sunset in the car well like you think he's riding off into the sunset and then that's where El Camino starts
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's why I didn't watch it.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like I wasn't he because the vision of him at the wheel.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like I got out I want to Becomes the person not not they they put everything that happens in the family on Walter But Jesse is still like a wanted man
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Guys let him go.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, look, I'm fine with him out of the streets.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about you, but I'm fine with it He was fine before for the most part like what okay?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: You was kind of hurting himself vibes like which we don't love But like, let I think the damage Walter did was far more and Walter has a heart of gold No, which which what is the biggest twist in that show is that again, and I'll say it again Don't judge a book by its cover is the lesson of breaking bad
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: and tell your chemistry teachers that and I'm on to you.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on to you Mrs. Penino as a student.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: Start saying, hey, I'm gonna watch you do inventory from now on.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: And hey, I didn't say the lab I were signed up for just watching you close down.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Could I, where's that sign-up sheet?
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: You need someone.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: We need a security guard in there watching.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I did so good, right?
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: So thinking that Skyler was the ultimate villain of anybody's story.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't like her.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: I would probably be miserable as to miserable as to if I was that's what's so crazy about it is like again And I think we said this like Skylar should be so easy to root for and it's not and like also I think part of it with Skylar is the wishy washyness like there are times where she was willing
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: to breathe.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Some of the better fits, but then she just got so in her head about like, we can't be driving nice cars.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then that's the ultimate question of everything is like, what is money worth if you can't actually do anything with it?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: So if you can't, I think about that all the time.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: And like if you have to hide it in your walls and you can't spend it or use it, then like, why do you want it?
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's a power, power thing.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's what it becomes for, and he was able to rationalize at the entire time by saying, even if we can't use it now, they will get to use it when I die.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, which still true, right?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, probably not.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, because at the end, and guys, I'll put in the show notes spoilers for Breaking Bad, but in the last episode, he goes up to the people that he had that business with.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's one story line, I think they could have fleshed out a little bit more, because in the beginning, it seems like it's gonna be like a B plot line, like you're gonna keep seeing what that endeavor was and what it did to Walter.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then we never really get an answer like what happened between the three of them?
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: that got him teaching her to, I would be pissed if I'm altar.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm altar and I have to go to Motherfuckersburg, the party, my salvation, and I'm having to like, even contemplate making meth to pay for my cancer treatment.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: If that's even on the chase, I'm holding the place on fire when I walk in there.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think the crime I'm committing just isn't cooking math.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's what it is.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: At that point, if the thought cross is my mind, suddenly another crime has crossed my mind as well.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, in response to it, and so at the end, he ends up going up to them.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I actually liked this.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: moment where we got to see Badger and the other guy again, the other Jesse's two friends, Walter sneaks into their house and then he says on Walter Junior's birthday, who I think he was a really good actor.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: So you know, I got to meet him.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: I came to know I do remember that I think and you just like a talk and Chloe and very very he has the best performance in this show up next to Jessie like they made me feel the most I feel like but love me called Skylar a bitch
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: And all in and that's another part where it's like I should just only feel bad for Skyler because like he's calling you bitch because of the stuff You know Walters doing but that don't be such a bitch Skyler don't be a bitch challenge.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing is it's like it's like, but that is part of it's a feel so massaging a sick like to be like Oh, what I'm hating this one for like wanting to raise an normal family, but like
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's a soft opportunity hatred.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I'm a woman in that show.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I like his Marie.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love Marie and her purple fucking house.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I love Marie.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: And how they never mention the purple.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: But, and how they never mention the purple back to the fact that she is, she's a club dog.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, let her go girl, like you, we can go back.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Just be careful with the choreo.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: Because apparently they got a threshold.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: You go for it.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: And she goes to return that tiara.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: When Skylar goes to return it in the car.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're gonna call the police because this is stolen.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: And she said, oh, I got it as a literal gift.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then when she pinned front, Maria about it, Maria says, okay, but why were you returning it?
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, you were turning the TR, I got you.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: She's so fucking funny.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: She's the way you hated Hank.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: I like really was sad when he died.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think I became sad.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I think he just bothered the fuck out of me.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he was so annoying.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: He was going after your guy.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't like Walter.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: And how about on what's his name?
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Old man, Mike.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now in his relationship with Jesse and also I liked the parallels like the way that they showed Mark's relationship with his granddaughter and in the way that we see throughout the show it's a pattern of how Jesse treats kids and that's the difference between Walter and Jesse.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's how he's a fucking chemistry teacher and he works as kids every day and he
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you got here because of people like Mr. White, you know, who put him in this box of like, you're never gonna amount.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, even the scene where it's just happened, or I think maybe we see it in.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe this was an L Camino, I can't remember.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Could I finish it yesterday and then I watched the movie right after?
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think we might get a flash back in Al Camino to a breakfast that Walter and Jesse were having where Walter, they're talking about Jesse's future and how like Jesse could go to college and at first, Jesse is like excited to hear some of them believes in him.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: And Walter's like, what would you go to school for and he, Jesse says, maybe like sports medicine?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then Walter says, oh, that is awesome.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Or Walter goes, you fucking ate!
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Walter said, well, I think that like you could really excel and thrive in a business and marketing major.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: And Jesse latches onto that idea, like, that's so excited.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then Walter says, so like, all we'd have to do is like get your GED, which is easy.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: And like all these things, and Jesse's like, why would I have to get my GED?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: and he's like, well, and Jessica's I graduated high school.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: You were on the stage when they handed me my diploma and it's this moment where at first Jesse forgets the way that Walter and the way that everybody used to look at him.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: And he's the thing that I think he's always going back to with Walter is a father figure who doesn't make him feel
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there are times where he doesn't make him feel so bad about his life choice.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like he brings that vulnerability out of Jasey to allow himself to think that like this is someone who believes in him.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: And so then when Wal is like, like crashes down on him or whatever, it's like, it makes it so much worse.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he expects it from his dad.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's exactly.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: I love my dad.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: It was a great show.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a good show.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know I'd finish our reading about combo with this tweet.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think I sent you, but it's so funny.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: It says sometimes when I'm feeling stressed out, I make a list of actionable steps and imagine Mike Aerman trout saying, this is what you're going to do.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then all these people were telling me they're like, wait, there's actually is gonna really work for me.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is what you're gonna do.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna do that.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, yeah, it's all bleaching for me.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: There's a scene in El Camino where it's a conversation that Mike and Jesse had that we never saw, where Jesse's like, what am I gonna go do?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, where would you go if you were me?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not a real advice conversation in the way of like, Mike going and fixing it.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a real heart to heart between them and you can tell the just your really values his opinion and he says I would probably go to Alaska and that's where Jesse ends up but then and I'll come you know he hands the vacuum guy you know the guy who helps you hands him this letter and
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: We don't get to read it or see who it goes to.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe it's for the audience to have to do it.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: I bet it could be a little brother.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a little brother.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: It could be Brock.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little boy.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's like they fucking kill her, which I thought was crazy.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then it could also, I also thought there's a world where it's
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Walter Jr. Or yeah, I thought that's Skyler or maybe Hanks wife, like just because he stated that house.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many people but I'm like, I don't want to know.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: I want to know what he said.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: But also kind of cool that they don't tell you because it's like, like honestly, like if we saw Walt, like I'd say Walt lived and he wrote a letter, we'd be like who the, like it's probably going to a business partner.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's not, you know what I mean?
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like it says so much about Jesse as a character that we have so many ideas of like
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's such a good show.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, next I have your next one.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's homeland.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: And you will love it.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: You will be addicted to it.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Chloe took her so long to just take my advice and start watching it.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: She cannot quit.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: She's a political.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, that could sell me right now.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's, well, I'll give you the the general premise and everyone's watching right now.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a hunting terrorist right?
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, okay.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: So it's yeah, it's it's a post 911 world and Carrie Mathison is an FBI agent.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: And she's very erratic and she's like kind of all over the place 13 says.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: And the only thing that they're only going to care under she can play and and then she's got like her counterpart, which is Saul, who is Mandy Patinken and he sort of like keeps her you know level a little bit, but they're like they get shit done and basically they they're all these prisoners of war released back to the United States and they thought that these people were all dead and we find out whatever so sergeant Brody comes home.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: And she starts to think that he's turned, that he is actually working for bad guys.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone's like, you're crazy, you're crazy, you're crazy.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: And- But she's not crazy.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: But she might not be so crazy.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a good show.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to- I want to- She spends her hasty and grown up.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, literally Phoebe, she's Spencer Hastings.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: She is spent.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, not to rewatch it with that lens.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, my god.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, I just, that's it.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, my lettering is up and we've been through Hastings is the main character.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be locked in.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's so good.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: And like, it's one of those shows.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: We're just like never.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, you're going to have to show you a chance on a show like that.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: Not just like a cop show that's on Amazon crime.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, can we give her a fighting chance?
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: Just watch
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: You'll cut it, just don't watch the last, like, couple of loads or, like, maybe just the last one.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe, yeah.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: If anything, she's doing a British accent.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: Just don't get the hell out of dodge.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of dodge.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I want to switch gears talk about traders for a second.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: I have a lot to speak.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: What I know.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm spoiling it.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: I know Dorenda gets murdered.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm spoiling it.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually there's not that much I could spoil because you know Dorenda gets murdered.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I know who the new trader is.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, so I really, we don't find out who they decide to kill.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, wait, they're banished.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: We do find out who gets banished.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Just don't tell me that.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to care, but okay, it's like a nothing burger.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: You can probably guess.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: Guess the survival role.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: You might not even guess because it's such an all-thing burger Mark now or the or the guy the guy from Montreal Stephen.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, okay, so I'm sorry I know that's like, but why weren't we giving why weren't we giving him the Dylan Fron
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: at it and we wanted to give it to fucking colton, which I don't think he was really writing hard enough.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to talk about after we can talk about the show, the reunion?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: We've heard about the reunion.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, for sure.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, and guys, we are going to get into some gossip girl stuff, but it's a good time for you to get your little pop culture fix from us.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so I've been giving a lot of thought to traders at the
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: is playing and I'm not saying this is bad thing but he is playing the most selfish game I've ever seen anybody play on traders which again he's playing a good game I'm not saying it's a bad game I'm not saying it just isn't
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: the show for me.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like fun to watch.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I'm just like in no matter of what Rob, they're never going to let you be the last man standing.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: So like you're all you have to have someone else with you.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, if they don't mind you out.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I just, I get that he just like wants to play to win, but I'm like, you know, I'm like, you know, you're smart.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: They're sure.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: My issue with him.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: as he says that he's like he in all his confessionals and then he's such a fucking asshole to Candace who's treating it like a game and he's like yes Candace I have a feeling you're like taking this really personally and like he gives me like he gives me like war flashbacks to guys I dated that are like like deeply manipulative
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: like I'm sorry and like it's a yeah this is a game but it's also like the point is to have fun like right you guys need to be fun to watch what Candice is doing is fun for you guys to argue is it's fun and it's weird to me that Rob like it's it's weird to me that he his response so this is like a what's a game like you're taking it and it's like
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then I don't know, I don't know.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, okay, so I think he's playing a really selfish game.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's not necessarily a bad game.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's more than type of game I would want to see on Big Brother or something where it is sort of like every man for himself.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the deal.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: Rob!
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: thinks he wants to be the only one in the turret, but if we look back at the times he's been in the turret, it's been Lisa Rina and Candace running the show.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're sort of putting all the things into motion, and he's saying like, yeah, whatever you think, and then sitting back and at the round table, sort of doing his work.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like he's going to be directionless when he gets into the turret and it's just him and Eric like and he doesn't know what to do I don't think he actually has the game playing skills to make the moves he needs to make for longevity in the turret and if I were him What I mean and I think he chose Eric and he is more than willing to let Eric go like he is more than willing to let Eric He just blame I think he picked Eric because
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's safe robbers in his brain.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's safe in one of two ways.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, either they trust Eric so much that he's not a liability.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's not going to out rob.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: And also, it's no, no hard feelings if you leave.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like for rob.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I don't really care if you write.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, Eric gets out and he says he's a traitor that's a better thing for Rob.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's better for Rob, exactly.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so something that happened in this last game is Tara and Johnny.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: They let everybody know.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love them.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: They basically are like, look, we didn't have them let you guys know this.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we are best friends.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I'm really hell with you.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: Me watching this show.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, no, who didn't know?
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: Who didn't know?
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: to like we are a best friends like in a way that like you wouldn't have imagined you wouldn't cool I don't think brother you're like you guys have taught you guys have been skimming the entire time you sit everybody down in the house okay guys we have actually not been telling us and everyone's like okay you saw that sound for this where's the news you're both a bit you're both in the block by the way
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then they're like, wait, why are you two being so mean to each other?
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: You're both on the block and your speeches, you're tearing the other person down, trying to save yourself.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is, I thought you were best friends and I'm like, and that's why we're doing this.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: And that's, and you know what?
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: We agreed on this before you walk in this house.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: So world, then we can't be ourselves.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, there's not a world, but I like to picture for a second that there's a world where, for some reason, you guys get into the big brother house and it turns into a Johnny and Tara situation, where you guys do just kind of like have fun.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are on the block and you guys are not really interested in it.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are still just talking to each other.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: Julie Tinnon buzz is like please please we are this is a live show Can you stop we're like hang on?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: We're working out a bit give us a set No, I was thinking like I'm gonna be sorry.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: I have to be one on one stop as head of house Well, Clyde can I see you first and he comes in and he and and then the cameras on us and the live feeds are I've never had more viewers in their life.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: He and I are doing dance as we are like having so much fun.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: back to traders.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: So Kristen, she, the type of chef.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, she is like on to Eric.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: She says at the end of the episode, she says to Eric, Eric, you have not been speaking up at the round table, and it's making me question you, and she says this in front of a room full of people.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then she goes and talks to Robin, she's like Rob, like I really think.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: Eric is a trader like he's going to throw him under the bus he has gone up over this man under the bus so he's like okay okay okay so but Rob is definitely going to think if he's smart and I don't know but if he's smart
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to tell Eric, okay, she is really on to you.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: We got to get her out of this house.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now if I'm Rob, I know that the second we kill her, everybody's looking to Eric because in a room full of people, she just came for him.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: Eric is not strategic that way.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: He is like a nice guy.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: He is like a faithful who just caught himself in this situation.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he's going to be like, okay, yeah, like I believe whatever you think.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then Rob's going to do the work the next day.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying like, Kristen came to me last night.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: And she said that she thinks it was Eric.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone would have that and then Eric's gonna get out of the roundtable and Rob is gonna betray him at the roundtable 100% That is what I would do if I were Rob and I and my goal was to play the selfish game Now the other thing though is that so there are four names We don't know who's getting killed with their four names shortlisted for murder, and it's Tara Johnny Natalie and Kristen I think that was it
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just like the logic for me behind killing Tara or Johnny is zero.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: They were just at this round table and they made this huge case for Stephen.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: And they were like, I'm telling you guys, like, we are faithfuls.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: And they said to each other, they're like, well, how do you guys like know, like just because you told each other?
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like you were just bullied.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like they were like, I have really close friend Mark.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: Goes, if I had someone from dancing with the stars on here, I trust them, but I wouldn't just blindly trust them.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: Tara and Johnny go, I blindly trust you with my entire life.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know that.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: And they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they go, they
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: That is just terrible.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of marine Olympic level figure skating.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: I was like waiting for them to be like so.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little tough.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: How do I say this in a nice way?
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit of a lot of their medals.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: They're very well.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: Where's your mirror?
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: So they're like, no, I'm the whatever.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: So then they get the table to go against Stephen.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: Stephen's voted out.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously he's a faithful.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's why it would be stupid for them to be an option.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so why the fuck are they want to be on the table?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: You need to let and not only to know this is the first season I've ever been brooding for the faithfuls really what I guess I do As soon as I'm rooting for honest, as soon as Candace got out, I was like, okay, fuck you Rob, I'm done.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're in listen, this is me being biased as a brother for all
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think there should be rules about how quickly we can get the housewives off and what six and I can't be one for the other.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: Hello.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: Where's the entertainment dollio?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it just like it just, I does feel like there is a target on their back.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's like mean.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's actually mean.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's sexist and there are big personalities and so they're thinking like it's easy to think that they could be that because like well I come from an iconic
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, but so if I'm Rob, here's who I think needs to be killed, and this wasn't an option, but if it has to be Kristen, Kristen, and that's going to get Eric out, otherwise we need to be taking out Mora, we need to be taking out Mark, we need to be taking out these non issues.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: The people who no one has looked at, I don't know what time.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: I know if Rob's really playing a selfish game, he will get Mora out, because that takes heat off of him.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: They literally would never kill more other best friends.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, those are the people they need to kill so that at the round table, you live in other night.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: That gives you longevity because they're going to go for Tara, then they're going to go for Johnny, then they're going to go for Natalie.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: And if you play your cards right, they could go for all of those people before you.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why you need to kill the people who are so not issues at all, not Tara or Johnny.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then you need to let them just do their thing at the round table and make themselves look guilty.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then that's how you live longer.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you were on the show, here's a new retrader, here's what you would struggle with the most.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: But being in the round table, you're about to get out and you entered the circle of interest.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, not sure what she was going to tell me.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to tell you, he might have to get a gun out of his pocket and say Caroline.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: You have to say it.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: I have to tell you guys what I am.
- 30:46[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: You're just being a great player.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: You just being a great player.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Garling.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta go.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, then I fake faint.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is terrible.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: If you can't pretend to have a medical emergency.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally going to go against everything this circle of truth stands for.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember that girl in the bachelor who kept fainting?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it was, what was this fake?
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: Was it Rachel Senna?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Again, you couldn't waterboard that out of me.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think that was, sorry, can't get in the mile files was a great.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's the season that got me into.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: That was the first season the bachelor.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: I watched the whole thing crazy bitch.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, and who was this I call it?
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: I remember him being.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: I remember him being like.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: That girl has a degree in some kind of mental health.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: It was like Taylor versus Corinne, and it was like, hey, Taylor, this should be so easy for you.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that it isn't, I don't know, let's do some reflection.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, okay, one more thing I need to say about the traders before we move on.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I would do too.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I just think they need to do what Bravo does and they air it on NBC.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then how do you answer it on cut version on peacock and literally I don't care if it's six hours.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like give me I don't care if it's 100 dollars.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't care how much I'll take out a little bit like let me see it and actually loans can wait.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: I want to run down the theater for it.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think they should actually have it be like, OK, if you watch the traders, prove it.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: And we have the top 100 traders fans, which obviously both be in, come to this heat, actually get to come to the stable center and we're putting it up and you're all going to watch people, all those people.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: Only under people.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: And you're going to watch all of the footage from the whole season from the round tables.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: No one's protected.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, okay, let's go get into the reunion.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so obviously the reunion hasn't happened or we haven't watched it yet, but we've got a little bit of news about it a little bit of Intel and I'm Somebody had the nerve to retweet Lisa Renna's video that she made and she said you wanted a house wife.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you a house wife And yeah, I came for cults and this is hey, whatever she made a video talking about she goes she goes guys It's been handled
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: And she goes, she goes, I don't know if they're gonna show it, but it was done.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: They don't show it.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't show it, so it's right, you're fucking sexist, it's we're gonna protect this way gay man because he's gay Because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay, because he's gay
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: simply unlike a bull you have terrible fashion sense by the way.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: I still remember what he was wearing in his bachelor ret like intro video.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember this?
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, I remember because Kelly fell in love with him during his bachelor's video and got him followed him on Instagram within seconds and I think message him was like hey if it doesn't work out like I'm in.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, and guys, I actually just checked the time state of that message.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was this year.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: Don't even put that out there and I'll do that in my girl.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: But he was wearing a purple sleeveless hoodie.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I can picture it now.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: Give me a yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: She ate it cold and so much.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: She hated him then too.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I don't think she liked him on the show either.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: She was like a virgin, give me a break.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, oh, you're a virgin, we'll get out the show.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: I've never heard of the fantasy sweets come on for the Roddug sex.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm like no condoms this season, by the way.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to see what happens.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: Just kidding.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but never do that, and they should never do that.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, yeah, so apparently Lisa Rina brings it up.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: And says, you said you were gonna hold me hostage, and now I know that's something you're capable of or like whatever she says to him, but she brings up the holding her hostage comment.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then he walks off the reunion set and had to be like begged to come back under the agreement that they don't bring up the stocking allegations again.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: I can't answer to it and hey, by the way, if Andy Cohen's in that editing room, we will see it.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, because we will see it.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's, I mean, that if this was a housewife for union.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, she'll watch what happens and you think Andy's going to protect you one single bit.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: You're crazy.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm also just like, quote, and why would you put yourself in this position if that's off limits?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't want to talk about what you did, you shouldn't be a celebrity anymore.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: And you shouldn't have done it.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that for sure.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do things that you're not going to want to answer for or talk about later.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then if that does happen to happen, don't don't sign on to a Netflix documentary about your journey.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm trying to get out as part of your journey is of our of the of the world when you did that to this poor girl.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like also if it's also just like, there's so many layers to like how horrible it is.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm like, okay, let's say he's like, I still want to have a career in the public eye, but I did this thing that I have to answer for.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then how do you write your wrongs?
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: We need to know this.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: What have you done to cat for Cassie, so that she can heal from this?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: And where are you donating your money?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: Where are you volunteering?
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: Where are you like,
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, mentoring young men who struggle with things like this, like, I want to see what you're doing to write your wrongs because there are things you could do to be like, look, I made these horrible mistakes, not how do you don't have to.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not hiding from them and I let me help.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: How do I give back is now I have this platform.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's also what great.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, don't deserve it.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're going to give me a second chance, then I am going to make it worth it.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to, you will not regret it.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: And a spokesperson for the gay community, you don't get to be a spokesperson for the community when you actually do your history.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, great.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: On April 14th, he came out publicly.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: He shouldn't get to, he puts himself into this position to be an advocate for, in a spokesperson for the gay community.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but he doesn't.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're a bad example, and you really, it's a, it's a, it's a terrible person.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so I mean, the people can point to now and say, you know, bad people can do this.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: They can point to that and say, well, gay people, like, that's what they just, it's literally, that's what I agree.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not comparing what Kevin's base he did to what Colton did.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: They're both terrible in their own right, but they both.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: leverage the queer community.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, to try to rehabilitate the blame off of themselves.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, to try to say I know what I did was wrong, but here's why I did it I was gay.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a reason to do it.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know how many people in this world are gay and struggle so much with coming to terms with that coming out the Reception living their truth like all of these things all of the same can do horrible things
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: And they don't make mistakes like that, like, and by being someone with a platform who makes these kind of mistakes and then slap someone and they don't want to say, you know, no, I mean, no, you're right.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's not, it was crime.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you have now given ammunition to people who want to, you know, and by not answering for it and not owning up to it,
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're making the conversation that much worse.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I just...
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's really disappointing that, frankly, he even got to be on the traders.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then I also think on top of it all, and it tracks with the way that he treats women, clearly, but I think he's all... Take everything that he did to Cassie off the table.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: The way that he treats women, the way that he speaks to women, the way that he...
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the way that he...
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: He, like, infuriating.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Objectified as the wrong word, you might have a better word for him, say,
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: He saw Lisa as like a circus monkey.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to, I expected you to act this exact way and because you're not.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: Right, no one's talking about it.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, but, okay, well, Colton, we could also have the same thing for you.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and in fact, it's not like a huge, a huge pain point in the queer community is like the stereotypes that are often thrust on them and how people expect them to be an act and you know, whatever.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, Colton, do you want it?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because she's a woman, it's okay.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: You can do that.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_00]: I hate it because, yeah, like, I don't know.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: I just think I would love to get more queer representation on these shows, but not from people who are like that.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, well, I feel like they don't really could job of it with the drag queens and so many things.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to be clear.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I don't want to be misconstrued in any sort of way about, I don't think people can misconstru or so.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so either.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: But, and you know, I have fucking love pages for about going off about Colton on Gigglesquad.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, she's really, I'm loving her on Gagli Squad and Hannah is going to be her downfall.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I, I'm scared of it.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, um, neither here nor there.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, should we do another hang hides for a second?
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: Just quickly, guys.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, soon.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so nervous to talk about it.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I actually just go
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: they freaking all good.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: I want to go see it again.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing but he treats on Twitter.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: I know but I have been seeing some really positive ones as well.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: Me too, but the ones that are hateful like just like make me feel like I have worms for brains.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what at the end of the day, like I think the people who the criticism that the blood's not like the book, that criticism for me as someone who's not right the book, is this.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: Expand your brain a little bit like sheet first of all.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm real fun.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'll did not say that this was the book It is in quotes the title weathering heights is literally in quotes like she said Point blank this is literally she goes when I went back and re-read the book is an adult I said whoa I don't remember any of this she was like I read it as a teen girl and this Retelling that I'm doing here
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, it's taking one part of the story, because I did an intense, I'm probably going to read the book, but I did an intense like chapter by chapter.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, it's a sub-pretentious.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: I am Mimi and I at dinner after we got on the botchia after which was absolutely legendary decision.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: And we sat at a table actually quick tangent with the rootest kids in America.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, Caroline, Mimi and I both walked out of there.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: We were like, if we had acted like that, and Caroline, this is actually going to make you so upset.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to make you like nervous as a kid.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: One of them was a friend, a friend of the family.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, not, not a kid.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he was the rootest one.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: To ordering his food, he's sitting back with his bendy straw and it's like playing with it in his mouth.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: I already hate him.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: And the person, the waiter asks him what he wants.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_00]: And he goes, well, take it out as well.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_00]: Fredres.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: We're in a boxy restaurant with in the guy the people are screaming.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's fire I was like what what he was like fried rice and he was like and what okay?
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: He heard him that time I was like what kind of meat like chicken?
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want chicken?
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like the normal flavors of meat's for fried rice and he says steak which was an option So then they like get give him something else and he's like kind of and the the mall
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: than the little girl starts having tantrums, like whining, crying, all the time.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: I wish you would have looked over and said, he can't hear you.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: Speak up.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I were close, I think.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think if you're sitting a, a boxy table, the stranger is your family.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: And like, if you're like the family, if you're in the front grill, we couldn't get fun people.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: We had to sit next to some miserable ass family.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_00]: They all ordered water.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: Would you rather sit next to those?
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was the only person in a table who ordered a night coke.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: Hate that reality.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: Um, would you rather sit next to those people or me and the blonde bomb shows when we go to Habachie and we all have different storylines walking in and adding and Clyde start talking and lads other and accents fighting with each other about how they're probably going to get divorced, but they're saying really good friends and they still like to go to Habachie every Friday.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's clear.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_00]: But anyways, so we went in there and Mimi was like, I need to buy the book, I wanna read it.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I was like, I think I might have it on my bookshelf.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think I might just have a copy line around I do and I do I I came home and and yes, I do have a copy of it Untouched and it sends it's been read at least once by someone else by another you guys I don't know if I used book so looks like I've read them
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: They love that about you.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: I love that about you.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not um, I do have a copy of lettering heights.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably going to read it, but I just finished.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: I actually finished it.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I think in my brain it was like a massive book.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on the addition that you're reading.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them seem a little pocket one and the fonts aren't too small.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, what was I just saying?
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: We were talking, oh, we were just, you just finished.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I just finished a book that I really liked.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: My first calling Hoover, I read Woman Down, because it is about an author who has a movie adaptation made of her book and it ends up going really bad.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: And she goes into hiding and is too scared to write again.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: When did she write that after what happened?
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, well, that's a crazy cool thing.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you're at it.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: We find out that this is all press for the next movie that puts it in like her in together.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: She has like a three-page prologue where she's like and any similarities are completely accidental.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: I am not writing this about my life.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's obviously, or any other.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: But it's...
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: I actually loved it and yesterday I had like a bunch of stuff I wanted to do last night and I sat in my ass down and read the entire book because I just was like I just wanted to finish this book.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I would remember I was a woman down.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_00]: So reading the people we meet on vacation.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I am starting my final Emily Henry book.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: I just, they just opened a new romance book shop in Lawrenceville.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: And so Kelly and Kaylin, and I went on Valentine's Day.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: If I know what book Kelly went to her car to finish.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, I need to ask.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, that is the most Arya shit I've ever heard.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, actually this is so Arya art.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: you are taking your good personal front, or I'm on camera to go see the emerald fennel and I'm teaching with her in height.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: She gets up and leaves, never comes back.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: Get up and leaves to go sit in her car and finish.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: Look at what was supposed to be.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: She just lost because she just couldn't wait to see how it ended.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: literally Kelly gets up in these and like she and I have an understanding like we show up when we show up to the movie.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't really matter at what point in the movie we show up.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: We show up and freeze it down me in joy.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to be rushing ourselves.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to sacrifice comfort.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: Number two, if one of us gets up in the middle of the movie, we're not like you missed a shot.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, who cares go to the bathroom if you need us up there for 20 minutes.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't literally don't care.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm enjoying moving and then you come back and if and I've gone through my head now And I've like I'm like what does she have absolutely need to know that she might have missed like if there was a death or something And I'll be like hey just so you know this happened and she'll do the same for me
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: But if we're gone for a concerning, long amount of time, we will send attacks to be like, hey, are you okay?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, okay, I'm not going to send attacks.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she's just in the bathroom.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't want to be like, hey, you're taking your really long time.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, whatever.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: But then it had been like, I mean, she missed like,
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: from when Kathy officially marries Edgar and like the whole montage of all the like gorgeous outfits and Ed, which I was like this is such a fun part.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: She missed all of that.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: She missed like a ton of stuff.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: So then it's been like probably like a half an hour.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I want, and I like look over and I was like, she leave like, like, but I see there for blankets there.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, I was like, where is she?
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: She said text, I was like, are you okay?
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then she came back shortly after and I hadn't looked at the response from her.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then like, I'm getting in the car to drive home when I look and she goes, yes, sorry.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, had to finish the last chapter of my book.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: I just like needed to know how it finished.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: Taking off Kelly's sitting next to you for the entire first half of the movie like I got it I just need to know I'm just looking She's like I think I'm gonna die in this house Imagine she pulls out the book from her purse
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: I've been reading it for the reading life.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, she knows that her Kindle, that she does have a Kindle.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, you know, I was like, wait, that's so cute.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: But also, I was, but then she didn't really like the movie.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, well, maybe if you, I don't like, like, if you could have a more sure to help them all, maybe I'm going to tell you something.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: But, and yes, I did have like a little bit of a vested interest in them in the movie.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I want it.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted it to be good, but.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: I really like to, and here, what I was trying to say is like, this, first of all, the actual book, Kathy dies.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot earlier in it, and then it follows Heathcliffe's life.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: This movie is just about Heathcliffe and Kathy.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's really not about anything else.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: And,
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: Emerald Final was like it's like me as a teenager reading it that's what I remember that's what I latched on to and like I wasn't thinking in my mind as a teenager reading it the period appropriate and so everything like this is like the world that I dreamt up this girlish whatever tragic love story and she's like and it's not whatever but the things that I think she can't like one and I'll talk about this one like one criticism I'm seeing a lot is the character of Isabelle Isabella Isabella
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: I first of all loved her.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: I thought she was so fun when she heard the dog when when well first of all when she gives to the dog But then also later when she finds the dog again Like this is sharp objects X. Oh my god.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: And also I love and Margot Robbie was nasty.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: I like I Was in my front now.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: He about that.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that she needs to play a villain
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: I love realsville it and that's everything I keep Cliff and Kathy are both terribly unlike a ball like and that's okay they're not supposed to be like again there it is it is not meant to be like these are the good guys who should be rooting for them like at all but um one thing she changed about is Bella is like
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: in the, you know, in the book and sugar warning, like there's a lot of rape.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: There's also a lot of incest in the book.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of like torture and abuse and all these things.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing that I hate, you know, is someone who didn't read the book, appreciated is that now she's in a world where she has agency and like they took out the, like,
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: she gives her consent to Heathcliff.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: He asks her three times.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you what this is going to be do you want me to stop?
- 51:35[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want me to stop?
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, yeah, in my girlish fantasy, there is consent for things like this.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: And why are we so mad that they didn't torture this fucking girl and the way that they did in the book that you wanted her to be like, you wanted her to have no agency and be
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: completely abused and taken advantage of and have no sense of like like a choice that was made.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, obviously, I don't, I would never want to be in her situation and I don't like no proof.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I understand my work coming from in terms of the story means it clearly means a lot to a lot of people.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I think who knew they were expecting, I don't know why they were expecting.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a little bit on them.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_00]: but I think they wanted those themes to be explored in a thoughtful way, which is the way then read the book.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's exactly like Emily, I just want to say and in woman down calling Hoover said something I thought was really interesting.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, that's really good clipped.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: No, but she says so much more grace to our characters than we do to people in real life and I was thinking about that and like that is so true Like think about the stories that we read about people first of all whether or not you wrote the character Think of a character as you read the do these horrific things that you end up forgiving because of whatever It's different than in the movies and and like I don't know It would be great to see those themes explore, but that's just not what this movie was I also want to say
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think that we need especially, and I hate having to call it other women, but I think women who feel super smart and intellectual.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: We need to have a conversation about how they discuss work done by women.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying you need to be like everything that women make, but the way that I've seen people talk about this movie and the way that people have started to talk about ham
- 53:33[SPEAKER_00]: Don't I don't see this for one battle after another.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't see this for any of the other male movies.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_00]: I see it for these two because you think it's cringe at the end of the movie when Jesse Buckley taps her heart as she's finally giving herself permission to say goodbye to where kid that just died I don't like Jesse Buckley's smirk.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's why part of why she got passed in that movie later really like her just I think that's a minute and I know
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying we need to, because I know that the way that people will flip that is, like, well, we are allowed to criticize women's work, the same way it could.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, we are, for sure.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that the way you talk about it, and the way you talk about people who enjoy it, calling these people specifically women who watch it, pee-brained, people who ask stupid.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, maybe you also need to expand your world view.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I will say about it, just as I've thought about it more, and I really enjoyed it, too.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: Which I think we should be allowed to do and make her to the movies.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's just how we do it.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: This movie was fun.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: How do you feel about, I've seen a lot of people say.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: Emerald Fennel wanted the IP so badly that she wasn't willing to do something like a 10 things I hate about you or an EZA where you take the story and it's inspired by it and you do the same thing but it's not that's it's it's you know what you know what they did like the things yeah to things I hate about you's not called the
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: And if emerald funnel was going to say it's my interpretation of it, and it's, if this is not the book, should she have reconsidered calling it weathering heights at all?
- 55:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, my response, well, and that clarifying question, are you referencing it all like the modernization, like putting these stories in modern times?
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's part of why she probably opted to so-called it
- 55:38[SPEAKER_00]: still done it exactly how she did in court at something else and renamed these characters.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, okay, and rename the characters maybe.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think she could have called it Kathy and Heathcliff or she could have called it Heathcliff.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_00]: She honestly, she could have called it Heathcliff and kept the movie exactly the same.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: And just been called inspired by exactly a weathering heights story or something like that.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because if she named it Heathcliff, people would be like, But what?
- 56:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's about a girl too.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: She named him and this and this version of the movie.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about the book.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: She names him not.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_00]: It is her like family name in the in the book.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: And also,
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: she set her the lot you know whatever our souls are made of his and mine are the same I am Heathcliff Heathcliff is me whatever so like I think that would have been a solution I think she wanted but I also and I don't know the actual legalities of it but I wonder if because what I will say about Emerald Finals movie making abilities if there's an area she's weakest in it's writing
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: She is an incredible vision.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_00]: She is a mean.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot of sex.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot of just like and just think dialogue sometimes and ideas aren't super fully flesh.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, yeah, about salt burn.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the the commentaries there.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: but it's also like clear you just wanted to make an extra having a strawberry and movie which is great which I can I say I love an extra having a movie and like I so when I at first when you ask that question I thought that you were speaking more to like should we have put it in like a modern time first of all I don't think we could have but second of all I think that I love that it's like a period piece but it's a period piece that's that's not entirely the production design of the show the costumes like I know people have but
- 57:23[SPEAKER_00]: there's there was thought behind every decision that was made here and like it does contribute to an overarching goal.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: It just might not have been what everyone else is goal would have been for the movie.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly if she would have named it Heathcliff, Wuthering Heights the book is kind of Heathcliff.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like it it is about his story more more so because it continues on once Kathy dies.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: And so I still like I think putting it in quotes.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_00]: was fine because at the end of the day one of the things people remember most of weathering heights the book is the love story the tragic love story and and that's also the name of the place whatever the name of where they live like mm-hmm I don't know I
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think, I don't know.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think she could have changed the name, but I, in my opinion, have changed the outrage had people adopt it.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think they would have been outraged that it was named up for a man at the end of the name, but Heathcliffe.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_00]: And because he's an abusive blah blah blah blah.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think the outrage about Jacob already so would have.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's so what have existed a hundred percent which that's criticism.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm totally Yeah, totally about that makes sense to me.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think one of my issues with Emerald Fennel with this also was that she cast and I haven't read the book.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I know that there's also contention on what Heathcliffe's race is to remind us of, you know, people read it and interpret
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was an interesting choice to cast him as a white man, and then cast Nellie and Edward Edgar Edgar as people of color, when they are kind of the villains in the movie.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I completely disagree about Edgar, I don't think he's a villain at all.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think to Kathy, he is.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_00]: I literally think that, like, over just for a second, is guard the time.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_00]: Regardless of that, my point stands about Nellie.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think that was a weird, I think it's, and again, I think it proves that I don't think Emma Fennel was quite as thoughtful about those decisions.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think she cast as she liked best for the roles, which I think is an area of improvement for her.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think she has a little bit.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think she cast Margo and Jacob, because she said, I'm going to give me most beautiful people the most devastating people I can have in these roles.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_00]: In the names exactly, like I think that exactly, she said they will bring my devastating love story to life the way that I wanted to be brought to life and the way that I saw it in my head, you know, and it's like at the end of the day too, if you guys have different interpretations of other heights that you wanted to see, then you should go make a movie.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: because you think there's room, I mean, I think when she says stuff like that, I am just a little bit like, now you're an adult.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're a grown person making the work.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_00]: But also there's a quote in Wuthering Heights that's, I wish I was still a girl.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember the exact words.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I wish I was still a girl.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to find it.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know like I kind of like the escapism of that of it being but no let's be clear I'm 100% on board with and I haven't read the book so once I read the book maybe I will feel differently but with Heathcliff being a person of color or ambiguous race and the book I do think that 100% area for improvement 100% just kind of like more discretion the types of characters
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_00]: I do think Edgar was not a bad guy.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was the good guy.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think in terms of like, I just think that she...
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_00]: But you're right about, I mean, Nelly is the villain of this story, and, and yeah, she is one of the few people of color in the show.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: So like that is something where that could have been, but also, I think there's an important conversation around like, it's also an incredible opportunity and role, and if a person of color was the best person for it, like, should we not put them in the role that villainizes them because of that?
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, now, yeah, so, I mean, I think it's a really deep, multi-faster conversation.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_00]: It had been a little bit more.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: diverse or even like I don't know.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there are just a little bit of something else.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_00]: If the conversation on Heathcliff's race hadn't been happening, I don't think I would have even noticed that she chose Nellie to be a person.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_00]: And like and Nellie is like devastating character.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I think Edgar is not about guy is like literally he saved Kathy.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_00]: He continued to love her understanding.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_00]: She was having a affair.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: He
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, rightfully so was like, you can't see Heathcliff anymore.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then he didn't make nolly find a new position until she killed his wife.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_00]: I know what you mean.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_00]: I know what you mean.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think I was coming from a place of, I think if you are a teenager reading it and your Kathy and Heathcliff feel like
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_00]: this incredible group for them.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and it felt like that, watching the movie.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like it felt like you want Edgar to be the bad guy because we're rooting for kids of love.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's playing like you're seeing that Kathy does feel trapped in that marriage.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_00]: And to make him, I just, I think he was an interesting decision.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_00]: But not being said.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think everybody did an incredible job acting in the movie.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I thought so too.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_00]: I found the quote by the way.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_00]: This quote from Mothering Heights, I wish I were a girl again half savage and hearty and free and laughing at injuries, not maddening under them.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: Why am I so changed?
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: Why does my blood rush into a hell of tumult at a few words?
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I like that.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_00]: I like, she didn't say that obviously outright in the book, but she included that scene in the beginning, which I don't believe is in the book.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think I read that.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that we see that that's not context that's given in the book, they're like hanging.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's just seeing, but that scene of her in the way that she feels not speaks to that quote.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it's very much a movie about loss of innocence, a sexual awakening, like,
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's really, and that's what this retelling is.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I would definitely go see a version of this movie that is book accurate, where it is about, and I think there have been a ton of which people love where he's played by Ray Fines.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_00]: But I just think that like, in my opinion, Emerald Fennel said, this is what I'm going to do.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_00]: and that she did it.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then people are like, why did you do that?
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, well, she kind of, you're like, you knew what she actually, what she said she was going to do, she killed it.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she did exactly that, you know what I mean?
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just like, what they're saying to it.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're expecting the two green, I would go or the ones that are that's what I'm saying.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_00]: He like, keeping it in theaters, but at the end of the day, I mean, those are the movies that are selling.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: And all
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: Also like, we should just be celebrating the fact that these stories are continuing to live on, you know, and like also in that they're going to reinvent itself.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's part of getting old.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting all of this money like they like to be able to make something of that extravagant.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of a win.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, right now, guys, just so you guys know also, and in terms of the production design, Susie Davies is the production designer.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_00]: And essentially, unless they were on the moors, basically every single shot in this movie is filmed in a sound stage, none of it is on set.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_00]: None of it is on location.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: So all of these weather scenes were seen.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_00]: All of the back
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_00]: the way that the rain looked because it was done in a sound stage.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, looked so much.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_00]: more beautiful and like they they did a theory in in certain rooms they found these little like beads of clear whatever that they put to make the walls look like they were sweating when Kathy got sick like all of these details that for me like looking at the production design alone I knew immediately that this is not supposed to be like a realistic retelling of a story this is
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_00]: a dreamland version of this story.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_00]: She kind of has like an Alice in Wonderland vibe.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: She's a room that looks like her skin.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: And they actually took photos of Margot Robbie's arms and to glue them up and stretch them over and and I think it's called that in the book, the skin room.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's still called.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like the windows all open like all but all these things like they're not accurate but also
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_00]: This is a dramatization.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is a fantastical retelling of a specific storyline within weathering heights.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think the quotations do their job along with the press store.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_00]: And the way that they have, I mean, also like we knew we were walking into a movie with the production that we've seen the pictures of the costumes and the production design.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then we also knew that Charlie XX scored it.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_00]: So why were you expecting?
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like you know what I mean like I'm like I kind of knew what that I was going to watch by the way But I loved it the music was so fun Great like wasn't I would be getting into it and then I'd hear like auto tuned.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like okay have literally have you ever heard of Suspending your disbelief.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's just not true art consumers.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_00]: You have to do this in artistic peace and it's and there are plenty of pieces that in time were meant to just be art pieces that are not appreciated in the moment that we study years later.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_00]: And Caroline just have to say this does go back to the universal truth, which is English majors.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_00]: are insuffer-bearable.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think, I thought, I'm a rare breed.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I made a major who never had well-during heights and, like, good for me.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_00]: This speaks to something about English majors and people who really throw themselves into the academics of art is sometimes they can forget to enjoy it.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm also just, like, OK, you suspended your disbelief when you read the book.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_00]: why can't you now do it for the movie and also i'm just i'm so sick of hearing people see like happen with health with house made as well i'm so sick of seeing people see films and be like well it just was enough like the book oh my god are you not already expecting this like we didn't have the entire Harry Potter series go to feeders like come on see did you see it managed i've heard said
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_00]: She's a better than the book and the author agrees.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_00]: And when she said, she said, I had a absolute blast making it and they better put me in the second one.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and I'm like, yes, and say, oh, she listens to the podcast.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she doesn't.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_00]: I need to see that.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_00]: And there's a way to wrap up at this time.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I can feel free.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_00]: I need a man to say for it to be playing crazy.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_00]: Mrs. Winchester need Nina to just take over milly get out of here.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_00]: Nina it's your job now.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's all of saying um do you have like 10 more minutes
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, okay.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to talk about this article that came out rating the most toxic TV boyfriends because I do have some thoughts and it might not be the whole 10 minutes, but we did say we were going to talk about this and so we must.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I sent you the article, I think you saw it, right?
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this is from Harper's Bazaar.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_00]: The 15 most toxic TV boyfriends rated, ranked.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_00]: I had some, I had some notes, but I do want to say that Chuck Bass is at the very bottom.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_00]: He is number 15.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a perfect place.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a perfect spot for him, especially given the company he's among.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I haven't seen all of these shows, but as we get higher up, some things I want to know it.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_00]: I do, okay, we're just going to go to number one now, which is Dremel, please.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_00]: Steven, Steven, Marco.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_00]: Which, of course, although when I saw that Joe Goldberg was
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, ah, I mean, listen, if Joe Goldberg wasn't on the list at all, I would be like, yes, it's in the Marko's number one, but because we have a literal serial killer on this list, I mean, not to say Steven Demarko doesn't have it in him, but I just feel like maybe part of it is that the torment that Joe is doing to people as a boyfriend
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's not that bad.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for putting it in, well, exact, well, he's just a bad person.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's a bad person.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_00]: He does kill his partners and trap them and, yes, but he's a good boy from before that.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_00]: and then when they realize hey we're going to take this away from him and then when they realize he's crazy that's when he calls them but what I will say is he still is number two to be good what I'm saying is this is really just we are we are picking it hair is here because it is truly we're splitting hair is that this is how much they have to be like getting into it to say that he should be above Steven to Marko that's how bad Steven to Marko is exactly I mean
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_00]: It is growing like Steven.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's no like, it's instant gratification with Steven's torture.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_00]: And Joe, he does get delayed.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Joe, it's like he puts you out of your misery.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, well, Steven also is like, I'm going to torture you so much that you want to put yourself out of your misery and that you're going to go fucking crazy and Joe is like, I'm just going to love you.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_00]: They said about Steven and Marco, because they were like, why does he, I think they asked Megan Oppenheimer this.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, why does he give her the tape back?
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_00]: yeah he was like because it's not fun for him anymore he sees that she doesn't care if it gets released and now he's not going to go that over her head anymore right right it's not fun so he's like fine take it because yeah i'm not hurting you with it anymore yeah exactly it's yeah if you're already hearing yourself and now and they said i think he's a little bit disgusted with how she's grobbling
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I thought the same thing.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_00]: I also was like, he's like growing it out.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, he's like, okay, this isn't, all right.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_00]: I like that Diana stood up for, I feel like Diana is going to come in and just below this shit up and at the wedding.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_00]: I hope so.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_00]: She's the only one that can.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_00]: She's the only one that can.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_00]: So, and I think it's even interesting.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, yeah, hey, Pippa, Pippa.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I was a big pip-a-stand until the last episode.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I also, taking even what she did directly out of it, I just, she's so sort of involved.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she, the way them bring up, whether she's like, get the fuck out of here and like, dude, you're, you're, you're cheating on him.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely cheating with, she's, she is,
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_00]: More willing to get in a fight with Diana, than it meant that she could be wrong about Lucy being a victim and her relationship with Stephen.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_00]: She cannot hear Diana say, you don't get it.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get what Lucy's been going through.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Diana even sees that what he's been doing to Lucy, even is a multiplied from what he was doing to her, and to be the last.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_00]: But she,
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Dianna.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_00]: She's too close to right now.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_00]: She has to like, she's like, I can't and can't.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's for you.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_00]: She was able to hold her dad over Steven.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_00]: So it was like they were kind of playing again.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_00]: There was more power.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_00]: When it's like we're supposed to play chess and Lucy's still looking for pieces to play checkers.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, literally, she's like, I'm gonna be sorry.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_00]: Um, when people was like, you let's even have those pictures of you.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, Pippa shut the fuck up.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, come on, dude.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I just couldn't.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, number three, the list is Mr. Big from Sex in the City.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_00]: I lean, putting him in the company with the Steven and...
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I was like, Mr. Big and then Joe and Steven like it just feels like a jump for me.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_00]: Especially when you're at a sex where he's fucking list.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_00]: And Nate Jacobs.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Nate Jacobsies, we number three, not Mr. Beck.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it should go, I don't know where it goes.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then, well, yeah, I guess, then I'm Caroline has a soft spot for her.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_00]: I do, I do, I do a little bit about fits.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_00]: What about fits from scandal?
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_00]: I never finished scandal, so I don't know how to talk, because he has more than that.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's a cheater.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_00]: So Derrot.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, he's a president, and I'd say it's a freaking cheater, I don't know what that one.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_00]: And they're done that.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then number six, being all of Rory's boyfriends on Gilmore Girls, huh?
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Number six, we're having Mr. Big above all, like I just, I think that's all.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I also like all of Rory should be lower.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_00]: They should be down by Chuck.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_00]: as because he's got some girl in he should be on here 100%.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_00]: So he, okay, actually he might not be on here, but he should be.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_00]: As her fits should be much higher.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_00]: He shouldn't be number eight.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_00]: It goes nine Adam Sackler from girls.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Eight as her fits.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_00]: Seven Conrad Fisher.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Conrad should be closer to where Chuck is.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to come to her.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_00]: to be honest.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Conrad and Roy's boyfriends really need to be on the list.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_00]: They were teenagers.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_00]: These are all for Dan Humphrey, get him on this list.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Who else we put on the list?
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_00]: Ren Kingston.
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Ren, get there.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, don't forget for the other one.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_00]: Why you ever heard of him?
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say he's a, he's a boyfriend once to Skylar, he was, he was at one time a boy toxic.
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and he's toxic as all hell.
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I do think this even to Marco placement makes sense, but Nate Jacobs being number four underneath Mr. Big.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_00]: I, maybe I need to like,
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_00]: a brush up on Mr.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_00]: Baked and he kills someone and I forgot to tell you I just last night I was like, you know what fuck it?
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna start watching his accent in the city from the beginning again because I've seen like a bunch of episodes, but it's how I feel I've been watching it all in one It's always on ease.
- 1:16:16[SPEAKER_00]: I would always be like watching it, but I think I'm just gonna start I don't know if I'm on the show that I've heard in case you're wondering in college.
- 1:16:24[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you in college What she was a carry for sure
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, Carrie, and I think I was just talking to Mimi about this.
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think Carrie wants so badly, she will never admit this.
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Carrie wants to be like Samantha.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like she thinks Samantha is so cool and has her life together, but Samantha doesn't.
- 1:16:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's one of the beautiful things about the show.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_00]: Is the viewer, is that they're all like 32 at season one?
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_00]: With that, but you also see the insecurities in each of them, but then you're also seeing the way they see each other.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so, I think Carrie looks to Samantha in a way, like, oh, she's so cool and chic.
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_00]: And she can go sit at the bar, like, you know what I mean?
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_00]: And we do yoga in the morning.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_00]: And she can flirt with the yoga instructor, and like, she has this amazing life.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_00]: But then you see it from Samantha's perspective, and she's low key miserable.
- 1:17:16[SPEAKER_00]: I just looking good over the fact that you started this by saying, Caroline's a Samantha Charlotte hybrid in case you're wondering, but in college, she was a carry.
- 1:17:22[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what I hate about carry.
- 1:17:23[SPEAKER_00]: And, no, no, Samantha is not as cool as anything she is.
- 1:17:26[SPEAKER_00]: So what I meant, that's not what I meant.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_00]: No one will ever believe you.
- 1:17:31[SPEAKER_00]: The way you put a Amazon first set it is what I meant.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean it in a good way.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, I do like the Samantha Charlotte hybrid, and they said that person doesn't exist, but she does.
- 1:17:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but she does.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they've all got a little bit of a carry in them.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you're on your birthday, if you're a Samantha, if someone tells you, you're a Samantha Charlotte hybrid, just know that there's you started carry area.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a podcast, just know you're a carry.
- 1:17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I'm not a carry, don't say what I want to hear.
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't say what I don't want to hear.
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_00]: What the, you're a Mr.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_00]: Bag?
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, the truth of the matter is I'm not in this show.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_00]: This is kidding, I would never say that to you.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, anyway, let us know if you guys disagree enough for you up.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_00]: But it ends as a poor Mr. Big being number three on this list.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let us know about that too.
- 1:18:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, because I could be missing something, but I don't think that top three should be Steven Marco, Joe Goldberg.
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_00]: It just feels like being kind of...
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_00]: If I had in my way, I would have left.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's sealed.
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_00]: So the top three, and I don't know the order could change in any given day, but it's giving Steven Marco.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Goldberg, Nate Jacobs, or Ezra Fits.
- 1:19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Ezra Fits just should be up higher.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, he was writing this fucking book and he's a pedophile.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, it wasn't if he wasn't an adult when he met Arya.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_00]: He could be around, he'd be on the list, but yeah.
- 1:19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Because of the book and the gospel, it would be kind of, yeah.
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_00]: all these people who hate Chuck Bass and I'm like, but you're looking at this list and you can find arguments for all of these men.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_00]: Chuck Bass doesn't even scratch the surface of what some of these guys are capable of.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_00]: So this was honestly a good a win for us.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing I want to point out before we log off is pod crushed Penn Badgey's podcast is doing their final episode this week.
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_00]: And they've been teasing, slidayer, a dare reunion.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that late and Easter's going to be on it.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_00]: She was on their first ever episode.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_00]: And now was going to be on their last ever episode.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it comes that on Thursday.
- 1:19:52[SPEAKER_00]: I will be staying up till midnight to watch it so that I can put our findings.
- 1:19:57[SPEAKER_00]: The takeaway is the key points.

- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_00]: I was really hoping that our Valentine's would pop off a little bit more as they started them with the dare one, but whatever.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_00]: But I did kill it with the Valentine's so it's fine.

- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_00]: I thought, don't care, I'm peepering to you there.
- 1:21:32[SPEAKER_00]: You can call me that and be wrong.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_00]: They can call me that, they won't.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_00]: I can hold my own, because you know what?
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly think that I gave a good enough reasoning for how I feel about on this podcast.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think I gave a not pee-brained explanation of my argument for her.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: I feel that way too.
- 1:21:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I do.
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_00]: People are being so ruthless about this.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_00]: I have two degrees, so go fuck yourself.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_00]: I literally, I have two degrees in a podcast.
- 1:21:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, okay.
- 1:22:01[SPEAKER_00]: I take your PhD and raise you two bachelor degrees and a podcast.
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_00]: That and and they're in theater in English.
- 1:22:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, guys.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, love you so much.

- 1:22:20[SPEAKER_01]: And it's black
