- 0:00Sean McAllister: Welcome to episode 68.
- 0:02Sean McAllister: We are bursting with electric youth.
- 0:05Sean McAllister: After announcing a run of Vegas shows with Joey McIntyre, Pop Icon Debbie Gibson sits down with Vegas Revealed for her first in-depth conversation about the show.
- 0:16SPEAKER_03: Because he called me and he was like, no?
- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Why don't we do a show together in Vegas?
- 0:21SPEAKER_03: I'm like, hello, you're just asking me to stay home and do a show with you?
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: Like, what's the catch?
- 0:28SPEAKER_03: Uh, how much fun is that?
- 0:30Dayna Roselli: And we now have dates for the All-Star lineup at Resorts World.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: Celine Dion kicks off the entertainment with tickets on sale this month.
- 0:38Dayna Roselli: Plus, it will be one hot Vegas summer with masks, social distancing, all that, a thing of the past.
- 0:45Sean McAllister: And we have an inside look at Allegiance Stadium that you do not want to miss.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: All right, let's spin the wheel and get this going.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Let's go to Vegas, let's stay all night.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone to Vegas Revealed episode 68.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: I'm Dana Roselli along with Sean McAllister, and we're still on two separate coasts for this recording.
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: But you know what?
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: I'm on my way home soon.
- 1:19Dayna Roselli: Don't worry, Sean.
- 1:20Sean McAllister: It's gonna be good to have you back in Las Vegas, Dana.
- 1:23Sean McAllister: It feels like I know that you're actually home with your family right now, but Vegas is kind of your uh adopted second home, so it'll be good to have you back.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: Vegas will feel whole again once you're back on the ground here.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: And so much is going on.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: It's like I'm trying to keep up with it all, but I mean the big thing that I think that applies to pretty much everyone across our country, and then everyone's you know, sitting on their phones googling, does this apply to my state?
- 1:51Dayna Roselli: What does this mean?
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: Is the masks being able to come to off indoors finally?
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: The CDC recommending that.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, masks are coming off just in time for the summer heat to hit Las Vegas, and just in time for all of the show openings and restaurants to be fully opened, and uh casino properties back to full capacity as well.
- 2:15Sean McAllister: I think the only thing that we need to kind of throw caution to the wind with everybody in regard to uh this new mask recommendation from the CDC, Nevada is following the CDC guidelines, but it is up to each individual casino to make their own mask rules.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: So, you know, Nevada saying, yeah, we're gonna go along with this, but there is, you know, different places that you might come across that might have their own rule, like you said.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: We don't have all the details on that just yet.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: And so I think that we'll probably start to see different properties coming up with, you know, what they're gonna do, uh basically announcing things.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: So I think everyone really needs to keep their eye on Twitter and our social media because we'll retweet all the different kinds of statements and information that comes out all this week.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I think just a rule of thumb, keep a mask in your pocket in case you need it.
- 3:13Sean McAllister: But the good news is that, you know, by and large, we're not gonna be having to wear masks everywhere we go anymore.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: No, and those that's for people who are vaccinated.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: So I'm also getting all the direct messages, you know, from people going, well, how are they gonna know?
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: And this and that.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: It's like, well, basically, if you're not vaccinated, you're kind of on your own, you know?
- 3:33Dayna Roselli: I mean, well, at this point if you don't wear a mask, yeah, then that's on you.
- 3:37Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: We're kind of in every man for himself territory at this point, and be responsible for yourself and you know, keep in mind that the decisions you make could have a big impact on other people as well.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: And I know kids are being able to be vaccinated.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: My friend here in New York is getting her daughter vaccinated.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: She has an appointment on Saturday, and she's 15.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: So that's exciting news too.
- 4:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, and a lot of people are excited about that.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: And what we're excited about is uh what I mentioned briefly, that several casinos are back to 100% capacity.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: That all started with the Cosmopolitan and Wynn, because they had incentives for their employees to be vaccinated.
- 4:21Sean McAllister: If they got to, I think 80% of their employee base vaccinated, they were able to open at 100%.
- 4:29Sean McAllister: And now a bunch of other properties have kind of fallen in line with that, Dana.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was noticing Caesars and MGM and Station Casinos all putting out messages on Twitter and sending us press releases as well.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: So it looks like, you know, the casino floor anyway will be back to 100% capacity.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: I even saw the wind saying they're gonna take down the plastic dividers at the tables, too.
- 4:52Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I feel like that's huge.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: Because I think we all wondered, was that gonna be the standard now?
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: Like it was never coming down.
- 4:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's gonna be I mean, that's exciting.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: That feels like you can actually be around people again.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: It's true, it's true.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: And listen, we all keep, you know, track of different numbers and this and that, but I mean, the people who own these properties, run these properties, obviously the government and our local governments, they're in front of that research in numbers more than we are.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: And so if they're saying they think it's okay, that's a good sign that we are in a really good place.
- 5:27Sean McAllister: That's a very good sign.
- 5:28Sean McAllister: So if you're planning on coming to Vegas anytime from now into the future, it's going to start feeling like old Vegas again.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: And I say old Vegas, like 2019 Vegas.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we aren't talking Frank Sinatra Vegas, we're talking 2019, right?
- 5:47Sean McAllister: But it feels like that was decades ago, doesn't it?
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: Um, something else I want to talk to you about.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: And we mentioned last week you were going on this tour of Allegiant Stadium.
- 5:54Dayna Roselli: Now, this is a new stadium that, yeah, it was opened here in Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Raiders, but for NFL games and I think college games too, they weren't allowing the public indoors to watch these games.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: And so this season looks like we'll most likely have that.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: And I know they started to do public tours, and you and your husband went on one of these tours.
- 6:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it was so cool.
- 6:20Sean McAllister: I mean, do you remember, Dana, when T-Mobile Arena, when it was just getting ready to open, and like there were, you know, they would do media previews, and you could go inside, and it was just so shiny and new and pretty, and uh that's the same kind of feeling that we got stepping inside of Allegiant Stadium that hasn't been opened, you know, for a general public admission yet.
- 6:48Sean McAllister: And it was just so nice.
- 6:50Sean McAllister: And I know we talked several episodes ago to uh Michael Goddard, who's a local artist, but is known around the world as the rock star artist.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: He curated all of the artwork that's inside Allegiant Stadium, along with uh 70 plus local artists that he got together to create pieces of work.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: And Dana, there is art everywhere you turn.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: It is incredible.
- 7:16Dayna Roselli: I can only imagine.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: I've seen a couple little things that he's posted, but I'm like, wow, this is really good and really cool looking.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: Did was it did it really add to the stadium?
- 7:27Sean McAllister: It really does because there's so many different uh kind of points of view of Las Vegas and how these artists uh see the city and it's kind of interwoven with the football theme, and it's just incredible.
- 7:43Sean McAllister: So I think I'm gonna give an early tip right now.
- 7:46Sean McAllister: And if you're coming to Las Vegas, get one of the uh Allegiance Stadium tour packages.
- 7:54Sean McAllister: They also uh have a package that comes with um some cocktails at the end, which is what we chose to do.
- 8:01Sean McAllister: Of course.
- 8:02Sean McAllister: Because you know, after you do a tour, you want to sit down and have a cocktail.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: So that's what we did.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: But uh what was really cool, Dana, is that as we were going on the tour, they were rolling in the uh natural grass field that's on a big tray that rolls in and out of the studio.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: They have two playing surfaces, they have an artificial turf surface, and then they have a real grass surface that only the raiders play on, and that's on a big tray that rolls in and out of the stadium, so it can be cared for and I think it's one of the most unique features of that stadium, and it it was we were the first uh a group of public uh people to see that process happening.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: Wow, that's really cool.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you we you were sharing some of your pictures with me, and it was stunning, and all the different kinds of things that you were showing, and we'll post those on our Twitter.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: So after we post the podcast and everything, we'll we'll we'll put some of those up because pretty incredible stuff.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: I mean, that was the one thing that I know really was, you know, you were in awe about that, the whole grass in and out.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: But the and then you were in the Raideret's uh locker room too.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: I saw that.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: That looked cool.
- 9:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, that was.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: We we got to go into the the Raiderett's uh dressing room.
- 9:20Sean McAllister: Those are of course the the cheerleaders for the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: We also went into the Raiders team locker room, and also since the grass tray was being rolled in during our tour, they had to come up with something new to show us since we couldn't go on the field.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: So we went into the um like to the healthcare part of the Raiders locker room.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: That's where, you know, they get all their massages, the ice bath, the whirlpool, they had uh where they get their IV treatments.
- 9:55Sean McAllister: They have a a line, which you'll see in one of the pictures, on the floor that leads into the X-ray room, and that's the line that the players have to walk on if they're suspected of having a concussion.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Wow, interesting.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: I was like, oh my gosh, they have a concussion line drawn on the floor.
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: Interesting, really interesting.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 10:16Sean McAllister: And so they normally don't bring people into uh that part of the facility for the tour, but um, so that was kind of an exclusive bonus.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: Well, I was gonna say, if you had the cocktails before the tour, then you could have walked the line to see how tipsy you were.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: I think even on a normal day I couldn't do it.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: Well, that is so cool.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: And then tell me about this nightclub that the win announced.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: This end what is it, the end zone nightclub?
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: Did you get to see that at all?
- 10:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, so it's in the north end zone at field level.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: Uh, Wynn is putting in essentially a nightclub for 700 people.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: They had the booths all built.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: You could see the DJ booth down there, um, back in the the corridor, which only, you know, it's a service corridor where only the allegiance stadium staff goes.
- 11:07Sean McAllister: They had signage up to direct people to the uh win nightclub.
- 11:12Sean McAllister: And I mean, it is going to be a fully functioning nightclub at field level with a DJ, with bottle service, and you're just looking right out at a pro football game playing out right in front of you.
- 11:27Sean McAllister: I mean, only in Vegas.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: Only in Vegas.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: You know, I'm I'm I was sitting here when I read was reading all about this with my 85-year-old dad, and he was like, Man, they always think of something.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: They always think of something.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I know, you're right.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: They do.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: It never ends.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: It's like we can't just be normal.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: No, we can't.
- 11:45Sean McAllister: We have to go big.
- 11:46Sean McAllister: It's Vegas.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: Well, hopefully everyone will get to um go inside Allegiant Stadium for the Garth Brooks concert, which as we know it, has not been canceled, and that's set for uh July.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: So that's exciting.
- 11:58Sean McAllister: Which, and I haven't even told you this yet, Dana.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: Uh-oh.
- 12:01Sean McAllister: Uh, some friends of ours were uh selling their tickets to the Garth Brooks concert.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: So my husband and I are gonna be going to that in July.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 12:10Sean McAllister: Which public event at Allegiant Stadium.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Perfect.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: Well, we get that firsthand Sean McAllister look then.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: I got friends in low places.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: Does he sing that?
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: Or is that someone I was making I was I was like, wait, was that Tim McCraw?
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: No, okay, Garth Brooks.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: I got friends in low places.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: They'll be at the Garth Brooks concert.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: Awesome.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: Well, that's exciting news.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I think a lot of that's gonna keep popping up.
- 12:35Dayna Roselli: There'll probably be a lot of tickets for sale because the concert was switched so many times.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: There might be some people who can't make it here now and they'll have to sell them.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 12:43Sean McAllister: And uh people who have season tickets to uh the actual Raiders game, they had to pay a a seat license, a personal seat license as part of their deal.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: So I think season ticket holders get first dibs at event tickets as well.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: So, you know, they may just buy them up and put them for sale on secondary market.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: So you can keep an eye out for those tickets.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, and as much as you know, I wish Mark Davis would have let some people go watch the Raiders play when they were, you know, allowed to have a certain percentage, he was firm on not saying if everyone can't go, then I don't want anyone to go.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: And now I do feel like with the NFL season starting in the fall, late summer, fall, I mean, it's gonna be more of an event, which you know, Allegiant Stadium deserves.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, well, along those lines, um, this is kind of a rumor that I heard.
- 13:38Sean McAllister: I have not reached out to uh Garth Brooks's people to confirm this news, but apparently I've heard it was written into Garth Brooks' contract that he would be the first public event at Allegiance Stadium.
- 13:54Sean McAllister: So I have a feeling that because of that element of the contract, that's why we didn't have anybody going to Raiders games this past season.
- 14:05Dayna Roselli: Interesting.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: Okay, that could definitely be it.
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: And see, for anyone who thinks that me and Sean plan everything we're gonna say on this podcast, we don't.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: Sometimes I learn things from Sean while we're sitting here recording.
- 14:16Dayna Roselli: So I just learned that.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: I didn't even know.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: Well, and let me tell you, the this last, you know, week or so, actually being able to go out and about and you know, mingle with friends, I've gotten a lot of juicy nuggets.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: You do, I know.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: Isn't it the best?
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: Vegas revealed rumors.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: We have we've gotta, I mean, we're gonna throw those in every now and then because a lot of times our rumors turn out to be true, and the things that we hear from everyone that we know and gross in this city, you know, it is it's interesting stuff.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: And sometimes, you know, do remember, Sean and I always do try and confirm.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: We throw, like, just like he said, we could throw an email to Garth Brooks's people and see if that's the case.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: And if they answer, they'd answer.
- 14:55Dayna Roselli: If they don't, they don't.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: We tried.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: Nobody said we we get an A plus for trying.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: But uh, some people we have been in contact with Dana are the people over at Resorts World, where they have that all-star lineup of entertainers getting ready to go.
- 15:16Sean McAllister: Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and we now have show dates for those performances.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's really exciting to see it officially launched.
- 15:26Dayna Roselli: Celine Dion's gonna kick off with uh 10 shows.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: Carrie Underwood's gonna do six shows, Katy Perry, eight shows, Luke Bryant, six shows on the schedule right now.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: And Celine Dion will be the first one to perform in the theater, and she'll have a brand new show, and the opening night performance, I love this, is gonna benefit COVID-19 relief, and that's on November 5th.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, and that's I mean, that just goes right along with uh the giving spirit that Celine Dion has always had.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: There were a number of times uh during her run of shows over at the Caesars Coliseum that uh she would donate the proceeds from shows to uh different charitable organizations.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: And she was always so giving to not only the Las Vegas community, but you know, to organizations around the country and around the world.
- 16:18Sean McAllister: So it doesn't surprise me that Celine is gonna be doing that.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's gonna be fabulous and what a great cause.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: And Katy Perry is gonna take the stage on December 29th, so after Christmas, but um that will launch this eight-show run, which includes an exclusive New Year's Eve and New Year's Day performance.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: So that'll be cool.
- 16:38Sean McAllister: Sandwiched between Celine Dion and Katy Perry is Carrie Underwood, who has shows uh starting uh the first of December, really.
- 16:47Sean McAllister: And she's been doing interviews about her uh residency, and she is just so excited.
- 16:54Sean McAllister: And I love that Carrie Underwood is so excited about coming to Vegas and doing shows.
- 16:59Sean McAllister: First of all, I just personally think that she's great.
- 17:03Sean McAllister: But uh she knows that she needs to bring the party, she knows that her production needs to be bigger than anything she has ever done.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: And I just love hearing entertainers excited about uh the endless possibilities that are presented when you do a Vegas show.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: And I think uh it's interesting when we hear these big names because everyone's saying, you know, well, welcome back Celine Dion, but hey, welcome Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan, because they've never done residencies here, you know, they haven't been headliners.
- 17:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, and so that's gonna be so incredible.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: I cannot wait to see what Celine does with her show, what Kate what Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan do with theirs.
- 17:49Sean McAllister: And Luke, I have a feeling his is just gonna feel like a big party.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, it will.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: And uh what is he does those uh what is it, the underwear commercials?
- 18:00Sean McAllister: Luke Bryant?
- 18:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, he does underwear commercials.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: Doesn't he?
- 18:03Sean McAllister: He does?
- 18:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, hold on.
- 18:04Sean McAllister: David Beckham, like in his tidy whiteys?
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: Hold on, let me Google it.
- 18:07Dayna Roselli: See, I told you everyone, this is uh off the cuff.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: Hold on, Luke Bryant commercials, because I know he does them with his wife, who also acts in them.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: It is dun-da-da.
- 18:20Dayna Roselli: Google slow Wi-Fi at my parents' house.
- 18:22Dayna Roselli: Here we go.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: Jockey! Yeah, he does jockey commercials.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: He does?
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 18:27Sean McAllister: Just in nothing but his underpants.
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: Well, he's got a white t-shirt on, he's sitting in the couch, so there's a t-shirt involved.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: But um, yeah, he apparently does the uh commercials for the underwear brand jockey.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: They started airing during 2021 Super Bowl was the first one that aired in early February.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: So apparently everyone loves it.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: They're saying, you know what?
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: Good for you, Luke.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: And he looks great.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: And yeah, his wife's in the in the commercial as well.
- 18:56Sean McAllister: So she's beautiful, but maybe Luke will do some cross-branding in his show and you know, do a set in his underpins.
- 19:03Sean McAllister: That's what I was thinking.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: That comes full circle to exactly what I was thinking.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, I mean, listen, if you haven't watched our interview with the president of Resorts World, it's blowing up on our YouTube page if you want to actually watch the full, I think it was like 20 plus minutes, um, where he could just tell he couldn't really officially confirm that they were going to be performing at Resorts World, but confirm, you know, obviously they're the faces of Resorts World, they're in our commercial, but you could just tell he was really proud of this lineup.
- 19:33Dayna Roselli: And then another thing is that he talked about and kind of revealed in that interview was that we would start seeing a lot of women DJs being announced at the nightclubs, and that started to roll out.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: I know it's gonna be it's so exciting, and that's the first time that um anyone from Resorts World had uh spoken publicly about that.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: So I feel confident in saying that that is a Vegas revealed exclusive.
- 19:57Dayna Roselli: That's true.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, along those lines, more and more shows.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: I can't even keep up, but a few that caught my eye this week is you know, I know people love fish.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: I don't, but people do.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: And I'm talking P-H-I-S-H fish, the band.
- 20:13Dayna Roselli: They are coming to MGM Grand Garden Arena uh from Thursday, the 28th of October, to Sunday the 31st.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: And uh my former co-worker, Justin Bruce, he just loved fish.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: He goes to every single show every night in a row whenever they come to town, so I know that's a big deal.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's dedicated.
- 20:30Sean McAllister: So whenever I see I mean, I remember that from like my college days in a a room full of you know fishy smoke.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: It was, you know, back then it was a thing, and then I did it like, well, they when I met Justin, I he was telling me he was going somewhere for a fish tour, and I said, They're still touring?
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: He's like, Oh yeah, it's a big deal.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: So they'll be at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: Justin Bieber has rescheduled his world tour, and he's stopping at T-Mobile Arena in February of 2022.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: So the Biebs, the Beliebers will be excited to know that.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: And then co concerts at the beach at Mandalay Bay are returning too, and then we'll start July 4th, holiday weekend, and then there's a whole bunch of other dates after that scheduled.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: So nice to see those outdoor concerts, you know, coming back as well.
- 21:19Sean McAllister: Those concerts at Mandalay Beach are so fun.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: You wade in the water, you can sit down, chill out.
- 21:25Sean McAllister: Such a great vibe.
- 21:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it just feels like, you know, well, just you know, because they have the sand out there too, like you're by the beach, literally.
- 21:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:33Sean McAllister: Concerts by the beach.
- 21:34Sean McAllister: Not just a clever name.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 21:36Sean McAllister: And speaking of new shows, Dana, that is the focus of our incredible interview this week with the one and only pop icon, Debbie Gibson.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: Debbie Gibson and Joey McIntyre announced their limited engagement at the Venetian.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: Super exciting.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: It's called Debbie Gibson and Joey McIntyre live from Las Vegas, and it's going to be a The sand showroom, and they announced uh three dates to start, but since then they've actually added another date.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: And we sat down with Debbie just before the announcement and were able to talk to her about all sorts of stuff, about living in Las Vegas, also her new music that's coming out, her new album, also this show with Joey, and this new duet that they're gonna be releasing of Lost in Your Eyes as well.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: It's all so exciting.
- 22:27Sean McAllister: And we sat down and visited with Debbie at her home right here in Las Vegas.
- 22:33SPEAKER_03: I think a lot of people don't even realize that you live in Las Vegas.
- 22:37SPEAKER_03: I do, you know.
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: I, as you know, because we're friends, I'm kind of a homebody.
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: Like I'm either traveling, touring, like if, you know, doing my Hallmark movies or whatever, or I'm in this studio we're sitting in.
- 22:50SPEAKER_03: And so I, you know, and of course this last year, you wouldn't have seen me on any red carpets or anything, but I stay super low-key, but I've been here for a decade.
- 22:59SPEAKER_03: I can't believe it.
- 23:00Sean McAllister: Has it been a decade?
- 23:01Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: It's been a decade and I love it.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: I absolutely love it.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: I feel like so many people don't realize that we have so many great celebrities, talented people that live in Las Vegas.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: Like, why did you choose to live here and stay?
- 23:15SPEAKER_03: I know, I ran into Cara Top at a restaurant just last night.
- 23:18SPEAKER_03: Um Vegas moment right there.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: I know, and the funny thing is, like, even I was like, I'm so surprised to see Cara Top at this restaurant, and then I'm like, well, he's gotta eat somewhere.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: I am a native New Yorker, and while I was doing Broadway there, New York made perfect sense, and I love New York and the energy.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: But then I went to LA because I was like, well, let me explore TV.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: And I was doing the show American Juniors, which is a short-lived uh kid version of American Idol that nobody remembers, but I was there with Gladys Knight and Ryan Seacrest, and uh, and Lucy Hale was on the show, which is crazy.
- 23:53SPEAKER_03: And so I had an LA chapter, and then, you know, I was in a relationship, and my now ex was like, let's just, you know, take some weekend trips to Vegas.
- 24:03SPEAKER_03: And then he got into like, let's just go looking at the houses.
- 24:07SPEAKER_03: And then we were between LA and here, and I am not one for two residences because then you're like, where is that green jacket I'm dying to wear to this event?
- 24:17SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's at the other house.
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: Sounds like a high-class problem.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: It is a high-class problem, but it gets like complicated, confusing, and you can just go visit the other place.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: And this just started to feel like home.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: It is super low-key.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: The people are really grounded.
- 24:33SPEAKER_03: I live in a normal neighborhood.
- 24:35SPEAKER_03: I love my neighbors, like my pet sitters down the street.
- 24:39SPEAKER_03: I just, I don't know.
- 24:40SPEAKER_03: My life just works here.
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: And for LA and Showbiz, it's a hop, skip, and a jump away.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: And it's not like Showbiz all the time here.
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: You can just have a normal life and you can have all the chicness and the perks of the strip and entertainment and restaurants when you want them.
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: And I'm like very much, I live in those both worlds anyway, and I need that like super grounded home life.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: And I love, I just love my space here.
- 25:04SPEAKER_03: And uh yeah, I I really was pleasant so pleasantly surprised, and um don't plan on moving anytime soon.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: It's not home.
- 25:13Sean McAllister: Well, and and now the best part is that you have a show pretty much down the street.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: I know, listen, my buddy Joey McIntyre.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: Uh, first of all, he was the one who thought of doing Lost in Your Eyes as a duet on the mixtape tour.
- 25:30SPEAKER_03: And now he is the mastermind.
- 25:32SPEAKER_03: He gets all the credit because he called me and he was like, you know, why don't we do a show together in Vegas?
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: I'm like, hello, you're just asking me to stay home and do a show with you?
- 25:43SPEAKER_03: Like, what's the catch?
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: Uh, how much fun is that?
- 25:47SPEAKER_03: So I've never, other than coming through here with tours, I've never like help designed a show specifically for Vegas, and we're doing a limited engagement at the Sands Showroom at the Venetian.
- 26:01Sean McAllister: That's an awesome room, too, by the way.
- 26:03SPEAKER_03: I yes, I've seen shows there.
- 26:05SPEAKER_03: So it's really, really cool.
- 26:07SPEAKER_03: I love a room that feels grand yet intimate, like in kind of old school Vegas, and it has a lot of a lot going for it.
- 26:15SPEAKER_03: So yeah, I'm so excited about it.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: So tell us about the show.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: So you and Joey obviously are putting out this single of Lost in Your Eyes.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be amazing.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: People have been asking for it ever since mixed in.
- 26:26SPEAKER_03: It's literally like the most asked question on my social media in my DMs and in my threads.
- 26:31SPEAKER_03: And see what quarantine can provide.
- 26:33Dayna Roselli: Now it's done.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: It's done.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: It's done.
- 26:35SPEAKER_03: You know, a timing really is everything.
- 26:37SPEAKER_03: Like it just wasn't the moment till now for some strange reason.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: And we even we we recorded it live on the road and we listen, we're like, eh, no, I think we could do something that like harkens back to the original but feels really modern and current, and it just feels so elegant and spacious, and it's so exciting.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: It gets me every time to hear our voices together recorded.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: It's really wild.
- 27:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but yeah, so go on.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: So you No, I was just gonna say, so do you have you guys talked about the creative of the show yet, or you're not there yet?
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: I mean, what are your when they say we're going to see Debbie Gibson and Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block?
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: Are we gonna see a more songs with you two together?
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: Or are you gonna be doing separates, a little bit of both?
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: A little bit of both.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: So we are still working out the creative.
- 27:19SPEAKER_03: And uh yes, it's come up to obviously, you know, open the show together, duets, do our e our individual sets because we are so specific.
- 27:29SPEAKER_03: Like, what I love about working with Joey is that we're both super open and we're super specific.
- 27:35SPEAKER_03: Like, and we've both carved our own niche.
- 27:37SPEAKER_03: Like he's done a ton of Broadway, as have I.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: So we're still deciding like, are we gonna incorporate Broadway or like more pop Broadway?
- 27:44SPEAKER_03: Like, those are the questions that remain to be answered.
- 27:47SPEAKER_03: Um, so let me know.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: Go to my social media, let me know what you guys want to see.
- 27:51SPEAKER_03: And I know that like we both love giving an audience what they want.
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: I mean, like, if you came to that mixtape tour and you saw him do Please Don't Go Girl, it's like he brought the house down.
- 28:06SPEAKER_03: And he knows innately what an audience wants to see him do.
- 28:10SPEAKER_03: I know innately what an audience wants to see me do.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: And, you know, my new albums can be out at that time, so I'll be doing a combination of old, new.
- 28:18SPEAKER_03: I'll sit at the piano for sure.
- 28:19SPEAKER_03: I love kind of like doing intimate off the cuff moments in a show too.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: And yeah, so you know, we'll, I'm sure, have two or three segments together and do our individual sets.
- 28:33SPEAKER_03: And we're still fine-tuning, you know, what that means because when we sing together, we'll be doing some covers.
- 28:40SPEAKER_03: Um, and again, we've been throwing things out, and it's either an instant, like, oh, I like that idea, let me think about that.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: Or so we're gonna, you know, kind of make the master list brainstorm and go from there.
- 28:50SPEAKER_03: It's Vegas, anything goes, right?
- 28:51Sean McAllister: Absolutely, you can do whatever you want.
- 28:53Sean McAllister: And uh you mentioned the album, so you've been busy recording new music this whole past year, too, right?
- 29:00Sean McAllister: Or has it been longer than that?
- 29:01SPEAKER_03: It's actually been longer.
- 29:03SPEAKER_03: So it's really cool because like we're sitting here in my studio, and this feels like the grown-up version of where I demoed all of my original songs and did all the pre-production for what became my hit albums between the ages of 13 and 18.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: And so, like, the beauty of music now is I could be demoing something, which like I was demoing things like three years ago that became basic tracks and evolved into the production for the album.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: And then there's stuff that was like as recently as three months ago, like, oh, I wrote this new song, let's get it on there.
- 29:39SPEAKER_03: So it's been a process and a very organic one, which is my favorite, because a song would come from something in my real life, or something in my real life triggered a whole journey for a song, and it's just like rolled out.
- 29:55SPEAKER_03: And now I'm in the home stretch, which is like exciting and scary because, like everybody during the pandemic time, you started feeling like you were in this tunnel and like the real world did not exist, and so now it's like, oh, wait a minute, people are actually gonna be hearing this stuff, and I have to commit, which I'm very bad at doing.
- 30:16SPEAKER_03: You know, we could go on, and that's a whole other podcast.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: Um, but like I have to commit to the final mixes and commit to the the the song list and the track list.
- 30:25SPEAKER_03: So it's um it's been really amazing.
- 30:28SPEAKER_03: But you know, we were talking before we started rolling, and I was saying the thing I feel great about is the quality of this music, all the artists like DJ Ashba, who's also a local Vegas artist, former Guns N' Roses guitarist, now moving into the EDM world.
- 30:45SPEAKER_03: Yes, which is perfect because he played on some things like Dirty Work, Steve Smooth produced co-wrote and produced Tracy Young, and he added like these amazing pop rock guitar hooks to my stuff.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: And so he feels like a partner in crime on this album for me, which to the outside world feels very unexpected and like this odd pairing, but I'm like music's, music's music.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: And the fact that he's bridging EDM and his rock roots is so telling of like what you can do with music and it can like transcend all genres.
- 31:18SPEAKER_03: And and so we've been having a lot of fun with the music.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: Um who am I leaving out on this album?
- 31:24SPEAKER_03: Like, there's just been so many people.
- 31:26SPEAKER_03: My primary co-producer is 19 years old, his name is Sean Thomas.
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: Uh, he played my student in both my Hallmark movies.
- 31:35SPEAKER_03: I met him when he was 13, and much like Doogie Hauser MD, I knew he was a prodigy musical genius when I met him.
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: And then, like after the second movie, I said, What if I just sent you something to track up?
- 31:50SPEAKER_03: Because I knew he was like in Berkeley at the time.
- 31:52SPEAKER_03: He's now graduated Berkeley online at 19.
- 31:56SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Can can you just track something up for me?
- 31:59SPEAKER_03: And it came back to me and I was like, You are my musical counterpart soulmate, like we have to work together, and everything about the youthful modern energy and approach and the like, you know, hey, are you are you available for a Zoom?
- 32:14SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 32:14SPEAKER_03: And we're like doing a virtual mixing session at, you know, nine at night or whatever, or I would say 10 in the morning, but he's like a kid and he sleeps late.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:22SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm up at 6 a.m.
- 32:24SPEAKER_03: Like, who can work with me right now?
- 32:26SPEAKER_03: Nobody.
- 32:27SPEAKER_03: Um, but he's he's been an instrumental part in this album, and I'm so proud of him and happy that like his story is a part of my story now because I started as a as a young artist as well.
- 32:39SPEAKER_03: And I take talent at any age from wherever it comes, and I don't discriminate and I say, like, great, let's give this young person a chance.
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: And he has delivered like more than anybody in my musical life.
- 32:53Sean McAllister: That's amazing.
- 32:53SPEAKER_03: So, like, all the stuff you were hearing, like, he if even if he wasn't the primary producer on, he ended up, you know, having his hands in it at the end.
- 33:02SPEAKER_03: So it's it's been a really exciting process.
- 33:05SPEAKER_03: And my friends Orfe and Andy, who are Broadway stars, they sang on it.
- 33:09SPEAKER_03: And I used um three local Vegas singers, Jason Allen.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: Uh he brought along Serena and Tamyra, and they all graced this album as well with their voices.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: That was like the one and only in-person vocal session I got to do was here at Tone Factory just recently.
- 33:27SPEAKER_03: And um, yeah, and it's it's just been a labor of love, and I cannot wait for people to hear it.
- 33:33SPEAKER_03: So, this is your first time in 20 years putting out a full pop album?
- 33:38SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes, yes.
- 33:40SPEAKER_03: This is like, you know, I really feel the same way about this album that I did about my first album, because I've lived enough of a life chapter between albums.
- 33:53SPEAKER_03: Like I find that this is what happens as a pop artist.
- 33:56SPEAKER_03: You come with those first two albums, and even though my life experience was minimal because I was a teenager, it still was like a very prolific time because you're as a teenager, you're living your feelings in fast motion.
- 34:09SPEAKER_03: Do you know what I mean?
- 34:10SPEAKER_03: You're like, there's so much happening, so there's so much life to write about and you're in your young life.
- 34:17SPEAKER_03: And then the record companies get their the people, the executives get their hands and stuff, and it gets a little convoluted.
- 34:23SPEAKER_03: And then I'm like, oh, I'm trying to do things my way, their way, my way, their way.
- 34:28SPEAKER_03: Then you're like, I'm gonna go independent.
- 34:30SPEAKER_03: But as an independent artist, I'm like, well, I've been living the life of a star, and then there's less to write about that's really relatable.
- 34:39SPEAKER_03: The last uh 10 to 20 years of my life has been very colorful, very relatable.
- 34:46SPEAKER_03: I've lived through a lot of the things, health issues.
- 34:50SPEAKER_03: My mom and I parted ways in business.
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: I've had monumental relationships.
- 34:56SPEAKER_03: Um, and so there's been a lot of stuff, real stuff to write about.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: And so to feel that feeling through this music is really exciting.
- 35:09SPEAKER_03: It just feels like I'm at a beginning again.
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: You know, despite all the experience I've had, it's it's all it all feels very fresh and new.
- 35:17SPEAKER_03: So it's a it's a great place to be.
- 35:19Sean McAllister: And so, I mean, for an artist, there can't be any feeling that's better than that.
- 35:24Sean McAllister: And then to have the Vegas shows, and then to have your album coming out this summer, and then I see over your shoulder a script for Lucifer.
- 35:33SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes.
- 35:34SPEAKER_03: So, oh my gosh, this was um, this is dropping on Netflix on May 28th, and I've seen my episode.
- 35:45SPEAKER_03: Um and I'm so excited.
- 35:47SPEAKER_03: Tom Ellis, I was his first choice to play this role in the musical episode of Lucifer, and it was the quickest yes that ever flew out of my mouth.
- 35:57SPEAKER_03: I was already a fan of his from Rush and a fan of the show, and the fact that this was musical, and you know, I mean, I don't think I can say anymore because be I'm not, you know, the PR team will come after me.
- 36:11SPEAKER_03: Um, but it was like one of the most surreal career moments of my life, too.
- 36:17SPEAKER_03: Because I just never I mean, I I envision myself on any show in a way because I do feel like my acting life has become uh a very important part of my career through Broadway and through movies, TV movies.
- 36:34SPEAKER_03: But I I am aware of other people's perception of me, and I don't think people would have been like Debbie Gibson, Lucifer.
- 36:41SPEAKER_03: And so the fact that, you know, I the fact that I got that call was was super fun.
- 36:46SPEAKER_03: And uh you do such a variety of things.
- 36:49Dayna Roselli: I was gonna say, I mean, really, I mean, the list goes on, and I feel like there's I don't want to say there's not a lot that you say no to, but I say you're always willing to, yeah, I'll give that a try, or that sounds fun, you know.
- 37:00Dayna Roselli: You don't just have one thing in sticking.
- 37:04SPEAKER_03: You know, I I feel like that's one of those things that could be inspirational to everyone out there watching in any aspect of your life.
- 37:11SPEAKER_03: Don't limit yourself, you know.
- 37:13SPEAKER_03: Look at the big move you made.
- 37:15SPEAKER_03: Like you had your steady gig and you were like, I don't quite know what I'm doing, but you took the leap, the net appeared, you got creative, you had a bigger picture for yourself.
- 37:28SPEAKER_03: And I just feel like that's that's how everything great happens, you know?
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: Um, and what I don't know how to do, I'm willing to learn.
- 37:36SPEAKER_03: So even for Lucifer, look, look, Howard Fine is my longtime acting teacher, and I am like a theater girl in my work ethic.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: So I was like, Howard, I need to come in and coach with you before the taping.
- 37:51SPEAKER_03: Like I prepare, I don't wake up knowing how to do everything.
- 37:55SPEAKER_03: I even write songs that are so freaking hard to sing.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: This is what's a I realized this the other day.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: I went back and read the opening line of a song over the course of like a month.
- 38:06SPEAKER_03: I was like, it's not there yet.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: And the opening line of a song is so important, it sets the tone, it pulls people in.
- 38:12SPEAKER_03: And there has to be like in certain lyrics the right blend of like the technique, but the vulnerability in the voice.
- 38:18SPEAKER_03: And I have some weird, quirky vibrato that's like a little Dolly Parton, a little Gwen Stefani, a little a lot of things, and I've been like criticized for it over the year.
- 38:26SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, no, that has to be in this music because innately who what's unique to you is what should come out.
- 38:36SPEAKER_03: I mean, why do I want to go make my vibrato sound like everybody else's?
- 38:40SPEAKER_03: Like that's ridiculous.
- 38:41SPEAKER_03: So I become a technician and a surgeon with my music because I hear it a certain way when I write it.
- 38:49SPEAKER_03: And I'm not a Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion vocalist.
- 38:52SPEAKER_03: Like that is not what I was born innately knowing how to do best.
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: I was born knowing how to play and write, I believe.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: And then the singing I work ridiculously hard on.
- 39:03SPEAKER_03: So again, it's a thing, it's like if you have a vision for yourself, like put it out there and then be like, how do I get to that place that is what I'm hearing in my head?
- 39:16SPEAKER_03: Um, but I do think remaining versatile is like the key to longevity.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: I think all the greatest people because especially in pop music, trends change.
- 39:26SPEAKER_03: I also wasn't born knowing how to hit bullseyes in the pop world, like Madonna.
- 39:30SPEAKER_03: Madonna could be like, I'm gonna have a hit in every decade.
- 39:33SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I'm not a mastermind in that area, I'm not a strategist that way.
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: So when pop trends were doing that, I went, I'm gonna revisit my theater roots because I love Broadway.
- 39:44SPEAKER_03: And then you get to be at the top of your game in so many different worlds if you remain versatile and willing to work at your craft.
- 39:53Sean McAllister: And uh you mentioned your your overall vision and looking to the future.
- 39:58Sean McAllister: Do you see a big return to Broadway at all?
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: That is such a good question, you know.
- 40:04SPEAKER_03: Okay, so I see a smirk, so I don't know.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: Well, I think I'd rather return to Broadway as a composer and producer.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 40:14SPEAKER_03: I've written two musicals, and musicals are also all about timing.
- 40:18SPEAKER_03: They could be sitting on a shelf for 20 years.
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: One's been like 10 years, and there's gonna be a moment for those or something new.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: But one one I wrote with Jimmy Van Patten, of course, you know the late great Dick Van Patten, um, his son.
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: We wrote a musical called The Flunky, and Hillary Carlop and Katie Ford, who are incredible screenwriters.
- 40:37SPEAKER_03: We wrote a musical called Skirts, which takes place in the 60s, Year of the World's Fair, and very much about racial tension.
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: And like it or not, it's actually timeless and timely, even though it's a period piece.
- 40:52SPEAKER_03: So that's really you know, I think about like the eight show a week thing, and I have the ultimate respect for my fellow Broadway performers and community, but I did 17 musicals in 17 years, I counted recently, and that's between Broadway, West End, regional, national tours, and like for a minute, I'm good.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: I'm good.
- 41:17SPEAKER_03: I'm like you guys with the eight shows a week.
- 41:21SPEAKER_03: But I feel like I do also feel like right now I just have more to say in my musical expression through my pop music.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 41:31Dayna Roselli: And before we go, because I know you have a very busy schedule, we love people that live here to give us a couple tips.
- 41:36Dayna Roselli: Sean and I do our kind of secret tips as being, you know, longtime residents.
- 41:40Dayna Roselli: But a couple of your favorite places, let people know, because I know you hit up the local spots.
- 41:45Dayna Roselli: You don't have to give away any of your secrets that you don't want anyone to know about.
- 41:48Dayna Roselli: But is there something that you feel that our listeners, when they visit Vegas or the when they live, you know, the ones that live here should know about?
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: One of my favorite places to send people when they come here is Natya's secret kitchen.
- 42:01Sean McAllister: I was just there this week.
- 42:02Sean McAllister: You love it.
- 42:05SPEAKER_03: I love it, and I love that Natya is in the kitchen herself very often.
- 42:11SPEAKER_03: And the ingredients, so I, because I've dealt with Lyme disease and all kinds of crazy stuff, I'm very food sensitive, as you know, trying to take me to dinner as like a three-ac play.
- 42:21SPEAKER_03: I can't eat that.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: I can't.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: It's great.
- 42:23Dayna Roselli: Because if she says, I can't eat this, I'll be like, great, I'll eat it.
- 42:27SPEAKER_03: But but Natai's, um, like all the ingredients are so fresh and clean and like it's so good.
- 42:34SPEAKER_03: So that's a favorite.
- 42:35SPEAKER_03: One of my favorite things, which takes me back to my East Coast roots, is Dunkin' Donuts.
- 42:40SPEAKER_03: Oh yes.
- 42:41SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
- 42:42SPEAKER_03: Me and the dogs, I have three boy hot dogs.
- 42:45SPEAKER_03: They're somewhere.
- 42:46SPEAKER_03: Um, and we go through the drive-thru and I get them sausage patties because I'm just a decadent puppy mom.
- 42:53SPEAKER_03: And I get a French crawler and a regular coffee with cream.
- 42:57SPEAKER_03: It's it's like it is an East Coast thing.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: It's so good.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: It's like an institution.
- 43:00Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 43:01Dayna Roselli: And there are tons of Dunkin' Donuts in Las Vegas.
- 43:05Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, there's more, definitely more Starbucks.
- 43:07Dayna Roselli: So you have to go on the hunt for it.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: Yes, I love my Dunkin'.
- 43:10SPEAKER_03: I love my Natayas.
- 43:12Dayna Roselli: Good.
- 43:12Dayna Roselli: We love it.
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I haven't I haven't been hiking in a while because I always get lost in Red Rock Canyon.
- 43:19SPEAKER_03: I I get lost.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: I know, it's like, wait.
- 43:21SPEAKER_03: In the canyon.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: Uh, like seriously, I and then you the Jeep your GPS on your phone doesn't work up in there.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: So I get a little scared, but I really want to go back.
- 43:32SPEAKER_03: It is beautiful, and even if people come to visit and they just want to do the drive.
- 43:36SPEAKER_03: What is it like 15 miles or something?
- 43:38SPEAKER_03: You do the drive through the canyon, get the maps and stop and do the photo ops.
- 43:43SPEAKER_03: It's just gorgeous.
- 43:44SPEAKER_03: Like it is.
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: Here's what I realized about living in Vegas that's one of the things I love about it the most.
- 43:50SPEAKER_03: This is a destination that people vacation in.
- 43:53SPEAKER_03: So you wake I wake up every day and I go, I kind of feel like I'm on vacation when I see those mountains.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: And again, I didn't grow up with mountains.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: So I see those mountains and I'm like, I am transported.
- 44:05SPEAKER_03: And again, you see all the neon of the strip, and you're like, I'm at Disneyland.
- 44:10SPEAKER_03: Am I grown up at Disneyland?
- 44:11SPEAKER_03: And yeah, so I kind of feel badass.
- 44:16SPEAKER_03: I can say that on a podcast, right?
- 44:18Sean McAllister: You can say anything you want to do.
- 44:18SPEAKER_03: Living here, and I do feel like a lot of showbiz people, especially from LA, are talking about moving here.
- 44:24SPEAKER_03: But I have people like, I want to buy a house, and where should I go?
- 44:27SPEAKER_03: And so it's a great place.
- 44:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 44:30SPEAKER_03: It's a great place to visit and it's a great place to live.
- 44:32Sean McAllister: So and a glimpse into Debbie Gibson's Las Vegas experience.
- 44:36Sean McAllister: And now people can join that experience with the limited engagement over at the Venetian coming up the end of August.
- 44:42Sean McAllister: Tickets on sale right now.
- 44:44SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes.
- 44:45SPEAKER_03: Me and Joey Mack.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: Listen, Joey McIntyre is like just one of the sweetest, most like he's such an amazing professional partner to have.
- 44:55SPEAKER_03: And you know, I grew up worshipping Donna Marie and they've become friends.
- 45:01SPEAKER_03: And I think like, I don't know, there's this, you know, this the male-female duo thing.
- 45:07SPEAKER_03: I never thought I'd be a part of one.
- 45:10SPEAKER_03: And here I am, again, open to anything, and it feels, you know, reunited and it feels so good.
- 45:19SPEAKER_03: Because we're reuniting from the mixing.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: All right, Debbie, you look amazing.

- 45:34SPEAKER_03: Great to see you, Debbie.
- 45:35SPEAKER_03: Great to see you, Sean.
- 45:37Sean McAllister: And as we record this podcast right now, uh Debbie and Joey have added a show on Sunday, August 29th.
- 45:45Sean McAllister: That's because pre-sale tickets have gone so well.
- 45:49Sean McAllister: Uh, so we're excited that that limited engagement has become a little less limited.
- 45:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, exactly.
- 45:56Dayna Roselli: And now tickets are on sale to the general public.

- 46:23Dayna Roselli: I have um friends that wrote me from Florida that are saying, what hotel should we stay in?
