- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It's a talk about Anything Tuesday. How about that tailor
- 0:23Speaker 1: eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Uh eight seven
- 0:27Speaker 1: seven ninety nine on Fox. Talk about anything Tuesday, NBA Playoffs,
- 0:34Speaker 1: whatever's on your mind, have at it.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Let's take people behind the scenes. Go ahead, Taylor.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Since we're talking about anything, can we can we talk
- 0:42Speaker 4: about maybe instilling a policy here. Everybody's gotta be in
- 0:46Speaker 4: their seats and ready to go too.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Forty five Wow, Wow, running a time, Wow, running a
- 0:52Speaker 1: tight ship.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I was here at two thirty. I is he is
- 0:55Speaker 3: not here, He'll be here any minute.
- 0:57Speaker 1: And I was going to say, let's take people behind
- 0:59Speaker 1: the scenes before before we get to the Knicks and
- 1:01Speaker 1: Hawks and Billy Donovan stepping down and Steve Kerr no
- 1:04Speaker 1: longer coaching in Golden State, before we get to all
- 1:08Speaker 1: of that, just taking people behind the scenes. We had
- 1:10Speaker 1: an interview to do at two thirty. Is he forgot
- 1:13Speaker 1: about that interview? I called is he on the way in?
- 1:16Speaker 1: And I said, Hey, no need to rush, but on
- 1:19Speaker 1: the way, if you wouldn't mind stop and get me
- 1:21Speaker 1: two double espressos, each with two splendors. Now, I didn't
- 1:24Speaker 1: ask him to do it at the expense of being
- 1:26Speaker 1: late for the show, Taylor.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I just asked him to do it.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I thought he would use his own judgment as he's
- 1:32Speaker 1: walking in right now, and I don't think he has
- 1:34Speaker 1: my two double espressos. He has my ten dollars bills
- 1:37Speaker 1: sitting there waiting for him. I'm not certain what is
- 1:39Speaker 1: in those cups, but that is not Starbucks.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I mean, wow, Taylor, you're famous for the.
- 1:45Speaker 5: I've never felt more like Anne Hathaway and Delaware's product.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Here's what you can't do.
- 1:49Speaker 1: You can't be late when Taylor wants everyone in their
- 1:51Speaker 1: seats at two forty five and then disrupt the show
- 1:54Speaker 1: without even looking at anything and cutting Mikey a off.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I mean, jesus, what a bad start for you. I'm sorry, sir,
- 2:03Speaker 3: clown Mikey.
- 2:04Speaker 6: You were saying, Taylor, you're famous for the blame pie.
- 2:08Speaker 6: How would you divvy it up for is he being
- 2:12Speaker 6: late here? How much goes to Stu Gotts? How much
- 2:15Speaker 6: goes to what?
- 2:16Speaker 5: Izzy?
- 2:17Speaker 4: So, without knowing much further details, I'm going sixty forty
- 2:23Speaker 4: Stu Gotts Izzy. And the reason why Stu Gotts is
- 2:26Speaker 4: getting a bigger slice of the blame pie is there's
- 2:29Speaker 4: always more to the story when it comes to Stu
- 2:31Speaker 4: Gotts that he just doesn't tell him.
- 2:32Speaker 1: There is nothing more to this story. Israel, goodie eas
- 2:36Speaker 1: is getting his computer out. He will come to a
- 2:38Speaker 1: microphone in just a second. It is simple, It is simple.
- 2:45Speaker 1: He couldn't make the two thirty. We told him it
- 2:47Speaker 1: was fine be here for the start of the show.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I then went rogue off the group text. I called him.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I said, hey, since you're not going to be here
- 2:56Speaker 1: for the two thirty, please get me two double espressos
- 2:59Speaker 1: each with to splengs from Starbucks. And I think that
- 3:02Speaker 1: he did. But how is that on me? I didn't
- 3:04Speaker 1: tell him to do it at the expense of being
- 3:06Speaker 1: late for the show?
- 3:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 4: My my bigger problem, My bigger problem with Stu is
- 3:13Speaker 4: we're getting ready to go. I could hear Sam getting
- 3:16Speaker 4: ready to count us in and I'm like, Ricardo, have
- 3:18Speaker 4: you seen Stu Gotts and he's like, yeah, he was here,
- 3:21Speaker 4: but he stepped out. And knowing Stu and that that
- 3:24Speaker 4: dang elevator that he almost gets stuck on every time.
- 3:28Speaker 4: I'm looking at the clock at three o'clock about to start,
- 3:30Speaker 4: I'm hearing Dan Byer doing his update, and I'm looking
- 3:32Speaker 4: at mikey a like, Mikey, this might be our chance,
- 3:35Speaker 4: this might be our chance to open the show.
- 3:38Speaker 6: I had Salakota on speed dials.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I'm sure you knew.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Anybody who wout my side of the story, or we're
- 3:45Speaker 5: just gonna keep rolling with this.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Just do it.
- 3:49Speaker 1: When I started talking is he is one of the
- 3:51Speaker 1: most honest people I know. He is the most honest
- 3:54Speaker 1: person that I know. And so you guys say it's
- 3:57Speaker 1: sixty forty. You're putting sixty on me, forty on Izzy,
- 4:00Speaker 1: and I'm saying absolutely not. It is one hundred percent
- 4:04Speaker 1: on Israel moodieres How about that. This is very much
- 4:08Speaker 1: a know your personnel situation. If you ste goats ask.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Me to do something that is a favor to you, yes,
- 4:17Speaker 5: I am doing everything in my power to get that
- 4:19Speaker 5: thing done.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I am.
- 4:21Speaker 5: And I already felt bad that I didn't see the
- 4:23Speaker 5: text about the two thirty interview until it was too
- 4:25Speaker 5: late for me to get here in time. So I
- 4:27Speaker 5: was like, you know what, I will hustle my face off.
- 4:31Speaker 5: I like my rear end. I don't want to hustle
- 4:32Speaker 5: it off. I'll hustle my face off just so you
- 4:35Speaker 5: can get what you need. And I did the math
- 4:38Speaker 5: on trying to get to the Starbucks, and I was like, oh,
- 4:40Speaker 5: I'm not getting to that Starbucks in time. Even if
- 4:42Speaker 5: I pre order that, there's no chance in heck I'm
- 4:44Speaker 5: gonna get here within like ten minutes to the start
- 4:46Speaker 5: of the show. So I was like, I know a
- 4:48Speaker 5: place I can swing by there, run to the bartender,
- 4:50Speaker 5: say hey, give me two double espressos and all the
- 4:52Speaker 5: splendor you got. And I got it a little slow,
- 4:56Speaker 5: but I got it. And then you know, it was
- 4:58Speaker 5: an elevator situation.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Super slow.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm familiar. What's the name of the gas station
- 5:02Speaker 1: you got this coffee.
- 5:03Speaker 5: For, not a gas in a restaurant. I can tell
- 5:06Speaker 5: you the name of the restaurant off the air. Come on,
- 5:10Speaker 5: Oh god, anyway, how are you, Miranda Priestley?
- 5:13Speaker 3: You're happy for the coffee. Let me take a sample.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I tell you a second, that's probably terrible. Oh gee, well,
- 5:19Speaker 3: I mean it's got that orange taste to it. I mean, yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 3: it tastes I don't know orange.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought it was more than ten bucks.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Went to one of those boutique places, Cuban Coffee.
- 5:33Speaker 5: So how's everybody doing?
- 5:35Speaker 3: We're not doing well.
- 5:36Speaker 1: The Knicks are todd one game, headed back to Atlanta
- 5:39Speaker 1: for a big game three on Thursday. Listen is he
- 5:43Speaker 1: I muttered under my breath to you yesterday. I didn't
- 5:45Speaker 1: want to say it out loud. I didn't want Tailor
- 5:47Speaker 1: to be upset, but I said the.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Knicks, we're going to lose that game. And the Knicks
- 5:49Speaker 3: lost that game. Yeah, yep, yes, you were on it.
- 5:53Speaker 5: I didn't think they were going to lose it in
- 5:54Speaker 5: the way that they lost it like a bit of
- 5:56Speaker 5: a choke job, not a bit, a definite choke job.
- 5:59Speaker 5: By then being up what double figures going into the
- 6:02Speaker 5: fourth quarter?
- 6:02Speaker 3: They were at fourteen in the second half.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, And it's not a great way to lose
- 6:07Speaker 5: when your best player that you are really relying on
- 6:12Speaker 5: to get you two expectations are the finals all of
- 6:16Speaker 5: a sudden, not only does not have a great offensive
- 6:19Speaker 5: game because Nikhil Alexander Walker is a heck of a defender,
- 6:22Speaker 5: but also he becomes a defensive liability when CJ. McCollum,
- 6:27Speaker 5: not CJ. McCollum Junior. CJ McCollum, right, he's the guy
- 6:31Speaker 5: who cooked you and specifically was wanting your matchup, he
- 6:35Speaker 5: said after the game when he was asked, you know,
- 6:38Speaker 5: if he liked that matchup against Jalen Brunton, and he
- 6:40Speaker 5: just asked the reporter, what do you think. As you've
- 6:43Speaker 5: said before, CJ. McCollum's super nice guy, not a jerk,
- 6:46Speaker 5: but it's pretty obvious he likes that matchup. So if
- 6:49Speaker 5: you're a Knicks fan, as Taylor is, I don't know.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I think you're.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Quite nervous right now.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Reggie Miller was a jerk and he accepted that role
- 6:58Speaker 1: at Madison Square Garden.
- 6:59Speaker 3: He didn't care. You're right about CJ. McCollum. He is
- 7:02Speaker 3: one of the most.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Even keeled, principal, nicest athletes that I have ever met.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But that building and Spike Lee in particular, we'll do
- 7:11Speaker 1: it to you. It will take an average guy and
- 7:14Speaker 1: make him evil, and that's what CJ. McCollum became Last
- 7:18Speaker 1: Night Evil in a good way. He was playing ball,
- 7:21Speaker 1: he was bawling out, and he beat the Knicks on
- 7:23Speaker 1: the road and he joins the group of Reggie Miller
- 7:26Speaker 1: and Trey Young as guys who have broken Nick fans hearts.
- 7:32Speaker 6: When is Spike Lee gonna realize he doesn't know how
- 7:35Speaker 6: to talk trash never because every time he does, somebody
- 7:38Speaker 6: else goes off just to shut him up.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like, maybe Spike Lee, you should shut up?
- 7:43Speaker 1: Yes, yes, put it on a poultailer. Maybe you Spike
- 7:48Speaker 1: Lee should shut up?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yes or no?
- 7:51Speaker 4: But is he This has been this has kind of
- 7:53Speaker 4: been this Knicks team mo for the past couple of years,
- 7:56Speaker 4: where they struggle to put teams away where it feels
- 8:00Speaker 4: like you get to the last like five six minutes
- 8:02Speaker 4: of a game no matter where this Knicks teams are,
- 8:05Speaker 4: where this Knicks team is, and it feels like you're
- 8:08Speaker 4: getting on a merry go round and the person operating
- 8:10Speaker 4: the merry go round takes the speed, cranks it up
- 8:14Speaker 4: to like six hundred miles per hour. Yeah, and it's like,
- 8:16Speaker 4: good luck on this merry go round, guys, You're probably
- 8:18Speaker 4: gonna throw.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Up very soon.
- 8:20Speaker 7: With Dan they I don't know how you guys feel
- 8:23Speaker 7: as Knicks fans, but as someone who was impartial, it felt.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Like, one, oh, sorry, there's two Knicks fans.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it felt like that.
- 8:29Speaker 7: Last night was the reel of his realization that we
- 8:32Speaker 7: could win this series, but we're not gonna win anything substantial.
- 8:36Speaker 5: That's the exact point that I was about to get to.
- 8:38Speaker 5: If CJ McCollum is doing it to you, yes, maybe
- 8:42Speaker 5: you can sort of game plan to stop CJ for
- 8:44Speaker 5: the rest of this series, but good luck the rest
- 8:46Speaker 5: of the playoffs, right, and yes, what's.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Next is Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown I mean.
- 8:50Speaker 7: Yeah, and no one And obviously you want the ball
- 8:53Speaker 7: in Jalen Brunson's hand at the end of the game,
- 8:56Speaker 7: but no one had even had a whiff of touching
- 8:59Speaker 7: the ball the final minute. Mike Brown botched his timeouts,
- 9:02Speaker 7: so you have no confidence in that. And their offense
- 9:05Speaker 7: looked atrocious in the last twelve minutes. The Hawks couldn't
- 9:08Speaker 7: hit a three in the right I mean, and they're like, well,
- 9:10Speaker 7: let's just go to the basket then and score, So
- 9:12Speaker 7: that's what they did.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Yes, if I could push back a little Dan, the
- 9:16Speaker 4: Knicks are the reigning defending Cup champions.
- 9:19Speaker 1: That's they do have a switch to make a point taken.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yeah, this his house money, Dan, We've already won a
- 9:25Speaker 3: title this year.
- 9:26Speaker 7: I mean, nobody knew how many timeouts they even had,
- 9:29Speaker 7: Like at the point, like that was even confusion. And
- 9:31Speaker 7: when Mike Brown was asked about it in the post game,
- 9:33Speaker 7: He's like trying to figure out what you're saying because
- 9:36Speaker 7: they completely botched their user or lose it because he
- 9:39Speaker 7: called the timeout, but they got like two forty five,
- 9:42Speaker 7: so they lost it. They lost two timeouts in like
- 9:44Speaker 7: fifteen seconds. So yeah, it was just, yeah, it was
- 9:48Speaker 7: a mess last night.
- 9:49Speaker 3: You think Tom Thibodeau was watching and smiling, He had
- 9:52Speaker 3: to be.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Thibodeau knew exactly how many timeouts they had every second
- 9:57Speaker 5: of that game. I'm curious to the Knicks fans if
- 10:01Speaker 5: CJ McCollum, who I'm gonna say infamously, even though it
- 10:04Speaker 5: didn't matter after he missed those free throws, if that
- 10:08Speaker 5: shot goes in by Mikhale Bridges, yep, is CJ McCollum forever,
- 10:13Speaker 5: forever the Knicks whipping boy, because he had that crazy
- 10:17Speaker 5: game and then would have ruined it that way by
- 10:20Speaker 5: missing those free throws and not having anything to like
- 10:23Speaker 5: stand on after two. Let's just say s talking games
- 10:27Speaker 5: at Madison Square Garden, that was so close to being CJ.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Mccoum's biggest nightmare.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It'd be an example of a rare guy who's the
- 10:33Speaker 1: reason they're in the game and the reason they lose
- 10:35Speaker 1: the game.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Exactly about that.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Yeah, it could have been a LaMarcus Aldridge all over again.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Damn buyer's point though, I have gone from very confident
- 10:44Speaker 4: as a Nick fan. I was on Amazon last night
- 10:46Speaker 4: buying brooms for a potential sleep.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Oh Jesus, that's the problem, Taylor.
- 10:51Speaker 4: I mean, can't jinx your tea listen due my Amazon
- 10:55Speaker 4: purchase history is not why the Knicks almost choked, or
- 10:59Speaker 4: why the Knicks choke away a lead.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Have you seen this James Dolan surveillance situation. If he
- 11:04Speaker 5: thinks your fans are jumping the gun, he might take
- 11:06Speaker 5: an ad a long time out.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Taylor, this is a terrible job. You're a Knicks fan.
- 11:09Speaker 1: We've been waiting for this moment for a long time.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You cannot buy the broom. Okay, I don't care if
- 11:14Speaker 1: you if it's if it's physically in your house, you
- 11:17Speaker 1: cannot purchase the broom before the sweep is complete.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Once they sweep the Hawks, you just find a broom
- 11:22Speaker 3: and use it. I mean, that's it.
- 11:25Speaker 4: No, So I was planning on going to Atlanta for
- 11:28Speaker 4: Game four with said broom, and then I was gonna
- 11:30Speaker 4: sweep the Hawk fans out.
- 11:32Speaker 3: But it's Dan's.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Point, that's cheaper than going to a game in Madison
- 11:35Speaker 5: Square Garden.
- 11:35Speaker 3: We've established would you have the brooms?
- 11:38Speaker 4: I've gone from very confident to now now I'm terrified
- 11:40Speaker 4: of this.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Yeares, of course.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Were you gonna have the brooms shipped to New York
- 11:44Speaker 7: or Florida and then go to Atlanta? Or are you
- 11:46Speaker 7: gonna have it shipped to the hotel in Atlanta so
- 11:48Speaker 7: it was there when you arrived in Game four?
- 11:51Speaker 5: Good question?
- 11:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I think these things.
- 11:56Speaker 4: If realistically the easiest thing would have been to just
- 11:59Speaker 4: go to Target and pick up the nearest room. Then
- 12:02Speaker 4: we kind of run into the problem on the flight
- 12:04Speaker 4: to Atlanta. Do I check in? It's probably like a
- 12:07Speaker 4: fifty dollars check in. I'm assuming it's the same way
- 12:08Speaker 4: you were check in, like golf clubs broom.
- 12:10Speaker 5: That's off.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Jesus, what happened?
- 12:12Speaker 1: You just fly to Atlanta, go to the game, buy
- 12:15Speaker 1: a broom at a hardware store?
- 12:17Speaker 3: I mean, why is it a hardware store? You buy
- 12:20Speaker 3: him anywhere?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Right?
- 12:21Speaker 5: Are you buy the right broo?
- 12:22Speaker 3: That's a hardware store. Well, the kids don't know.
- 12:25Speaker 5: I mean by the right broom. You could just fly
- 12:27Speaker 5: that home.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It's hardware store dot Com. That's where it is. Amazon,
- 12:30Speaker 1: that's their hardware store. Put it on the poletailer our
- 12:33Speaker 1: kids hardware stores Amazon.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I should have known he was going to have a
- 12:36Speaker 5: hardware store dot Com joke coming up and wasn't listening
- 12:39Speaker 5: to my broom joke.
- 12:39Speaker 3: But it's all good. What'd you say? Broom?
- 12:42Speaker 6: No?
- 12:42Speaker 5: Keep it moving.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I caught it as he was.
- 12:45Speaker 5: He was late because of your coffee.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Guys, a coffee.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Just finding a foldable and adjustable brooms here on Amazon
- 12:55Speaker 4: for fifteen dollars so you could easily stow this in
- 12:57Speaker 4: your carry on when you have to check it to.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Many questions and you start to realize that maybe Taylor
- 13:02Speaker 5: wasn't actually on Amazons trying to vibe room just that option.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Oh really, you telling us to stop asking question at
- 13:09Speaker 1: least I know when.
- 13:11Speaker 3: At least I know when. That is a very fair point.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 13:18Speaker 2: Live weekday sent three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 13:22Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio wipp.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Do have a quick correction to make stew guys, you do.
- 13:30Speaker 5: I mentioned that it got the Game seven Nuggets and Timberwolves.
- 13:35Speaker 5: It was the other way around. It was the Wolves
- 13:38Speaker 5: that won that series. Okay, not the Nuggets. All right,
- 13:40Speaker 5: thank you for clearing, but it was still it was
- 13:41Speaker 5: Game seven. Was a great series. Isn't the best rivalry
- 13:45Speaker 5: in the NBA? I don't know.
- 13:46Speaker 3: It's a talk about anything.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Tuesday eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox Whatever's on
- 13:50Speaker 1: your mind? Taylor has an idea since his idea last
- 13:54Speaker 1: week from soccer to fixed American Sports went viral, and
- 13:57Speaker 1: that's all that matters. He has an idea here, seg
- 14:00Speaker 1: here Taylor's idea from soccer to fix American Sports.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Iowa, Sam, give me the imaging.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Please, time now for how Taylor would fix American sports
- 14:11Speaker 2: with something from soccer.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Good welcome in everybody football on the pitch.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 4: If I ask you, guys, what do teams like the
- 14:24Speaker 4: Dodgers and Yankees have a lot of money. Correct, and
- 14:30Speaker 4: what do teams like the Marlins and Pirates.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Need more of money?
- 14:34Speaker 4: Honey, wins money first, But yes, Mikey, they do need wins. Today.
- 14:40Speaker 4: My soccer idea, I'm pitching you guys players going on loan.
- 14:44Speaker 4: So let's say, in this example, the Pirates have Paul
- 14:47Speaker 4: Skins under team control through twenty twenty nine. They realistically
- 14:51Speaker 4: say we're not competing this year. The Yankees come in
- 14:53Speaker 4: and say, we get Paul Skins for this season. We'll
- 14:57Speaker 4: pay his salary plus a let's put it at a
- 15:00Speaker 4: forty million dollar feet to the Pirates. So Paul Skeins
- 15:03Speaker 4: plays that year on the Yankees, and then after the
- 15:04Speaker 4: season he goes back to Pittsburgh. Win, win, The Yankees
- 15:07Speaker 4: get one of the best pitchers in baseball, The Pirates
- 15:10Speaker 4: get money they can reinvest in their roster to become
- 15:14Speaker 4: more competitive later on, and then try to build a
- 15:16Speaker 4: team that Paul Skins wants to stay and be a
- 15:18Speaker 4: part of.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Let me just say I love the idea, Mikey A.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'll tell you that he has figured out a way
- 15:24Speaker 1: to get Paul Skeins without giving up Cam Schlitzler, I mean, and.
- 15:29Speaker 5: That's really what this is all about.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Yes, so the catch and soccer players cannot play against
- 15:37Speaker 4: the team they're on loan from. And to do this
- 15:40Speaker 4: in the NFL or NBA, we're gonna have to get
- 15:42Speaker 4: rid of salary caps completely. But the same scenario where
- 15:45Speaker 4: if you imagine the Bengals last season, the Bengals are
- 15:48Speaker 4: out of playoff contention during this transfer during this transfer window,
- 15:53Speaker 4: so they loan Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase, that duo
- 15:57Speaker 4: out to the Texans who looked like they might have
- 15:59Speaker 4: been a quarter back away.
- 16:01Speaker 5: You know what's scaring me, Taylor, is I feel like
- 16:03Speaker 5: our brains might be like melding or something. Because I
- 16:07Speaker 5: was thinking of something very similar and of course the
- 16:09Speaker 5: sport that I care about NBA. I was wondering if
- 16:12Speaker 5: I should pitch this, But now I'm realizing that with
- 16:14Speaker 5: your detail of being on loan, it's kind of the
- 16:17Speaker 5: perfect way to do this. What I wanted to do is, yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 5: you have the NBA playoff. I'm sorry, the trade deadline
- 16:24Speaker 5: during the regular season. I want a reset, and anytime
- 16:29Speaker 5: in the first round a team can make a trade
- 16:33Speaker 5: with a team that's not in the playoffs. Now, if
- 16:36Speaker 5: we change that to just on loan, then it's even better,
- 16:41Speaker 5: right because that player, the team that is committing or
- 16:44Speaker 5: the giving up their player, doesn't have to give up
- 16:45Speaker 5: their player for next year. It's just for the rest
- 16:46Speaker 5: of the playoffs, doesn't matter, and they probably get something
- 16:49Speaker 5: in return as a result. That would be I mean,
- 16:53Speaker 5: I would put the deadline at the end of the
- 16:54Speaker 5: first round. But man, think about if you're the Knicks
- 16:58Speaker 5: right now, what do you need? You need a CJ
- 17:00Speaker 5: column stopper, Hey, Miami, he can we get Daveyon Mitchell
- 17:03Speaker 5: for a couple hundred thousand dollars. Boom changes everything about this,
- 17:07Speaker 5: not only this first round, but maybe the next playoff front.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I would applaud the guy who has the vision to
- 17:12Speaker 1: know that they need a CJ.
- 17:13Speaker 3: McCollum stopper.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Yes, I mean, I think all of New York is
- 17:16Speaker 5: begging for a CJ mccoum stopper right now.
- 17:19Speaker 7: Yes, Dad, if I and Paul Schemes on loan like
- 17:22Speaker 7: the Yankees, he would pitch every day that ends in
- 17:24Speaker 7: why like for.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Those two months. Yeah, I would use him like no other.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Right, there needs to be a detail, just some sort
- 17:32Speaker 5: of a clause in there. Hey, if he gets hurt,
- 17:34Speaker 5: he's yours forever.
- 17:35Speaker 3: So Taylor, what happens here?
- 17:36Speaker 1: If you make the play in tournament, let's say it's
- 17:38Speaker 1: the NBA, and then you get bounced out, can you
- 17:41Speaker 1: then take LaMelo ball on loan?
- 17:43Speaker 3: I mean that work.
- 17:44Speaker 5: See you now you're confusing the two. He just wants
- 17:46Speaker 5: it for.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Baseball, Okay, well no, no, but I want it for
- 17:49Speaker 1: all sports.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I think it's a good idea. I do. Like you know,
- 17:51Speaker 3: the Jets could start loaning players out in week three.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I mean it'd be great, right and Mikey, we might
- 17:57Speaker 1: not win a Super Bowl, but at least some players
- 17:59Speaker 1: on our team have I mean, I'm about that.
- 18:01Speaker 3: They already get that.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Get that with our quarterbacks.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Once they leave, they just leave. You're right.
- 18:06Speaker 5: They come back the next offseason though, they're like, you
- 18:08Speaker 5: guys winning it's so cool.
- 18:11Speaker 3: We should do that.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Well, that's the problem with on loan where Skens might
- 18:14Speaker 1: get to the Yankees tailor like it so much he
- 18:16Speaker 1: doesn't want to come home in the Pittsburgh.
- 18:18Speaker 3: I mean, well, you in soccer, they do have.
- 18:21Speaker 4: You could loan a player with the first with the
- 18:24Speaker 4: future option to buy.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Okay, Well, the thing is is you're sending out so
- 18:29Speaker 5: it basically this is the anti tanking thing, right because
- 18:32Speaker 5: if you're the teams that are at the bottom, and
- 18:34Speaker 5: you're just like, well, if I give away my guy,
- 18:36Speaker 5: if I loan out my guy and he gets really
- 18:38Speaker 5: used to winning, He's not gonna want to play here anymore.
- 18:40Speaker 5: I'm gonna have to really ramp up the winning with
- 18:42Speaker 5: my organization or I'm gonna lose this guy.
- 18:44Speaker 3: So Taylor, let's play out the baseball theory here.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Since you did root for Roman Anthony in the World
- 18:48Speaker 1: Baseball Classic because he's a Red Sox, what if the
- 18:50Speaker 1: Red Sox wanted to loan the Yankees Roman Anthony once
- 18:53Speaker 1: they've been eliminated.
- 18:55Speaker 4: This is a This is a scenario where the second
- 18:57Speaker 4: you put on the pinstripes, I'm rooting for Jesus, because
- 19:00Speaker 4: I mean, I've had the scenario somewhat to let the
- 19:04Speaker 4: NBA where in the in the NBA, people are like,
- 19:09Speaker 4: remember when Villanova ripped your heart out at North Carolina
- 19:12Speaker 4: in that twenty sixteen National Championship. How do you root
- 19:15Speaker 4: for those guys on the Knicks the second year on
- 19:17Speaker 4: the Knicks. I don't care about what you did to
- 19:19Speaker 4: me in college. I'm rooting for you to bring a
- 19:21Speaker 4: title to.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Me, right even though the day before you were on
- 19:24Speaker 1: the Red Sox though.
- 19:25Speaker 5: I mean, imagine problems if you're the Atlanta Hawks. Yes,
- 19:29Speaker 5: and you're gonna come back to the Garden for Game
- 19:32Speaker 5: five with.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Giannis tied it too?
- 19:35Speaker 5: And they brought Tray Young back to the Hawks.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Wow, they don't need him, they got c J.
- 19:42Speaker 5: But you have all the Knicks killers on one team.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, I love this idea.
- 19:47Speaker 4: We'd welcome Trey Young right now coming back to the
- 19:50Speaker 4: series because he would make them worse. We're losing to
- 19:52Speaker 4: to who the Wizard just put in the trade as
- 19:55Speaker 4: a cap filler?
- 19:56Speaker 3: Right? Well, how about the Knicks? They get Tray Young? Right?
- 20:00Speaker 5: No, no, we don't want them.
- 20:02Speaker 3: What happened to once you put on the jersey?
- 20:04Speaker 5: What you put on the jersey? Man with Zion Williamson
- 20:09Speaker 5: look good in a Rockets uniform?
- 20:11Speaker 3: Right now? Oh he get hurt?
- 20:14Speaker 5: Well, you only have to play a couple of games
- 20:15Speaker 5: till Katie gets back.
- 20:19Speaker 3: What an I do? So you're just bridging the gap,
- 20:21Speaker 3: that's all You're doing.
- 20:22Speaker 5: I mean, look, you got to play this right. Maybe
- 20:24Speaker 5: you don't keep them for the entire postseason. Maybe you
- 20:26Speaker 5: give him back a little earlier, and maybe you don't
- 20:28Speaker 5: have to give up.
- 20:28Speaker 3: As much for him. It'd be great. I like this rule.
- 20:30Speaker 1: It'd be great if no one in the NFL wanted
- 20:32Speaker 1: any of the Jets players.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company Live.
- 20:40Speaker 2: WHEKD said, three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Field. Yates gonna join us at about fifteen minutes.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I'll get to some sound from Craig Counsel, the Cub's manager,
- 20:50Speaker 1: in just a second, talking about the Dodgers and Otani.
- 20:53Speaker 1: It's ridiculous Billy Donovan steps down as the Bulls head coach.
- 20:57Speaker 1: The only interesting thing about that not surprising is he
- 21:00Speaker 1: What's interesting is he could have had that Carolina job.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Wanted to wait until the end of the season. Carolina
- 21:06Speaker 1: said no. And if you're Billy Donovan, if you really
- 21:09Speaker 1: wanted that job, you step down the second that Carolina
- 21:13Speaker 1: job becomes available, and you take the Carolina job.
- 21:16Speaker 5: So what's weird to me about the Chicago Bulls, I
- 21:18Speaker 5: say weird, It's not really weird. But they have a
- 21:21Speaker 5: tendency to run things very much like a family operation,
- 21:25Speaker 5: right like most people, most organizations will be pretty cold
- 21:29Speaker 5: and cut and dry when it comes to head coaches.
- 21:31Speaker 3: You win or you're out.
- 21:32Speaker 5: And Billy hasn't really want anything. But they loved him
- 21:34Speaker 5: like they loved him to the point where they said,
- 21:37Speaker 5: after they got rid of their GM and you know
- 21:39Speaker 5: basketball ops people, they said, whoever comes in and doesn't
- 21:43Speaker 5: want Billy Donovan as their head coach, then he's not
- 21:47Speaker 5: our type of guy for basketball operations. It's just like,
- 21:50Speaker 5: that's crazy. What has he done to, you know, to
- 21:53Speaker 5: deserve this level of respect, you know, outside of a
- 21:55Speaker 5: couple of good seasons at Oklahoma City with the crazy
- 21:58Speaker 5: talented roster. So that part was always confusing. And to me,
- 22:02Speaker 5: that's why Billy didn't do what you said, which is, oh, yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 5: I'm gonna go take that UNC job, because he just
- 22:08Speaker 5: wanted to respect the Chicago Bulls and the organization and
- 22:10Speaker 5: wait till the end of the season. And to me,
- 22:12Speaker 5: it's just like, no, man, you've had your six years,
- 22:14Speaker 5: go ahead, apologize, ask for forgiveness, not for permission, and
- 22:17Speaker 5: go take that UNC job. I think he's probably regretting
- 22:19Speaker 5: that right now.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Taylor, how do you feel about that news?
- 22:21Speaker 1: The fact that Billy Donovan needed to wait till the
- 22:24Speaker 1: end of the season to step down, did not step
- 22:26Speaker 1: down when that Carolina job was open. You're a Carolina grad,
- 22:29Speaker 1: you love Carolina basketball. What do you make of that?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:32Speaker 4: So, the reason why Carolina couldn't wait until the end
- 22:34Speaker 4: of the season because the Bulls last game was like
- 22:37Speaker 4: three days after the transfer portal opened up, and Carolina
- 22:41Speaker 4: needed some kind of assurance from Billy Donovan. Billy Donovan
- 22:45Speaker 4: could have finished the season out with the Bulls and
- 22:48Speaker 4: still taking to Carolina job. He just had to express like, Hey,
- 22:51Speaker 4: I'm going to take this job. I'm going to put
- 22:53Speaker 4: a staff in place and be able to recruit once
- 22:56Speaker 4: the portal opens. He was doing that, I'm not talking
- 22:59Speaker 4: until and then Carolin was like, well, if you're not talking,
- 23:02Speaker 4: we're moving on to Michael Malone. This is a classic
- 23:04Speaker 4: case of you snooze, you lose.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:07Speaker 5: It honestly felt like Billy just based on the series
- 23:10Speaker 5: of events, thought that he was going to return with
- 23:13Speaker 5: the Bulls and that he would be, you know, the
- 23:16Speaker 5: new GM or the new basketball president of Basketball Ops
- 23:18Speaker 5: would be okay with him as head coach, And it
- 23:20Speaker 5: just feels like the more time has passed, the more
- 23:22Speaker 5: he's just like, yeah, that's that's not fair for this
- 23:25Speaker 5: guy to come in and have you know, old news
- 23:28Speaker 5: Billy Donovan, the guy who's you know, playing Billy Donovan
- 23:32Speaker 5: as the head coach without giving me options. It makes
- 23:34Speaker 5: more sense. It's better for the organization if I just
- 23:37Speaker 5: you know, take the l and leave and you guys
- 23:39Speaker 5: can pick a new head coach with a new basketball
- 23:41Speaker 5: ops guy. So it just felt like maybe indecision snooze
- 23:44Speaker 5: you lose type of situation, or you know, maybe he
- 23:47Speaker 5: thought to himself, all right, maybe I could have gotten
- 23:50Speaker 5: the UNC job. I could also take a year off
- 23:52Speaker 5: and get any job I want that opens up after.
- 23:54Speaker 1: This, Taylor put it on the poll please at stick
- 23:56Speaker 1: out seven ninety on X Billy Donoving col in classic case.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Of you snooze you lose.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I think he's right kind of his I'm voting yes,
- 24:09Speaker 1: especially since you know he could have had the job
- 24:11Speaker 1: and finished out the season with the Bulls that were
- 24:13Speaker 1: just tanking.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Anyway, Yes, Craig Cancel council. This is interesting.
- 24:17Speaker 1: The managers, the manager of the Cubs talking about the Dodgers.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Is he the Dodgers. They don't need any help. They
- 24:23Speaker 1: have tons of money, they have tons.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Of great players. They're off to a sixteen and six start.
- 24:29Speaker 1: And here's Craig Council talking about a little special rule
- 24:32Speaker 1: that Major League Baseball put in plays for the La Dodgers.
- 24:35Speaker 8: There's one team that's allowed to carry basically one of
- 24:38Speaker 8: both and that he gets special consideration, which is probably
- 24:43Speaker 8: the most bizarre rule. There's not another player like that,
- 24:47Speaker 8: but one team gets different rules for that player.
- 24:50Speaker 1: So he's talking about the amount of pitchers you can
- 24:53Speaker 1: carry on your roster. The Dodgers are able because he
- 24:55Speaker 1: plays in the outfield and because he pitches, the Dodgers
- 24:59Speaker 1: have the ability to carry one more pitcher than every
- 25:03Speaker 1: other team imjor league based, right.
- 25:04Speaker 5: So they get fourteen when every other team gets thirteen.
- 25:06Speaker 5: And it's fine if the rule were something that could
- 25:10Speaker 5: apply for a number of players. But we all know
- 25:15Speaker 5: how unique show hey Otani is, and so to have
- 25:17Speaker 5: that written language in there, and you look around and say,
- 25:20Speaker 5: he's the only one, like you're making this language and
- 25:24Speaker 5: it's really just you're creating the rules. It seems like
- 25:27Speaker 5: two uppe's one man or one organization, when it shouldn't
- 25:32Speaker 5: be they get an extra spot. It should be, Hey,
- 25:35Speaker 5: this is the advantage of having a two way player.
- 25:38Speaker 5: You can bat and you can't pitch, so it's one
- 25:40Speaker 5: guy with the two spots. But yeah, I guess they
- 25:45Speaker 5: have to do this. I don't really understand why. I
- 25:48Speaker 5: understand Craig Council's complain. Now what the rest of the
- 25:51Speaker 5: league could say, Hey, get yourself a two way player
- 25:54Speaker 5: and see if he can pitch, you know, twenty innings
- 25:56Speaker 5: or you know, bat for twenty games, start twenty games,
- 25:58Speaker 5: and then you'll have that a special exception too. But
- 26:00Speaker 5: it's just like, that's that's not the way this has been.
- 26:02Speaker 5: You can't make one guy change the rules for everybody.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Yeah, fifty to fifty players that could also pitch don't
- 26:08Speaker 4: really grow on trees for that defense.
- 26:11Speaker 3: That's why there's just one.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Yeah, but me and Mike Ye have been pounding the
- 26:17Speaker 4: drum saying this Dodger team is bad for baseball. They're
- 26:21Speaker 4: bad for baseball. Then Craig Counsel says it, and everybody's
- 26:24Speaker 4: looking at him and like man, Craig Counsel's kind of
- 26:26Speaker 4: got a point. Welcome, Welcome to the good side, Craig Counsel.
- 26:30Speaker 4: We've been here.
- 26:31Speaker 3: The water is warm. Yeah.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I think everyone's just tired of the Dodgers, right, I mean, seriously,
- 26:36Speaker 1: they have an abundance of wealth and abundance of riches.
- 26:38Speaker 1: They don't need any more help, and yet major League
- 26:40Speaker 1: Baseball is giving them some help and Council's tired of it.
- 26:43Speaker 3: And I'm with Counsel.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know what it is, but it just
- 26:47Speaker 5: feels like because they're just doing this all with just
- 26:50Speaker 5: buying all the good players, it just doesn't feel like
- 26:53Speaker 5: the Dodgers are doing this like rich in tradition. I
- 26:56Speaker 5: know they are rich in tradition, but this feels like
- 26:58Speaker 5: new money, does it not, Well, it is money, yes, yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 5: that's any sports equivalent.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 4: And you're looking at the game yesterday show Aotani extended
- 27:09Speaker 4: his on base streak to fifty two games.
- 27:12Speaker 3: So that's quite the season, Taylor.
- 27:15Speaker 1: In your scenario where you're using soccer ideas to help
- 27:18Speaker 1: fix American sports, are the Dodgers are allowed to take
- 27:21Speaker 1: a player on loan? They should be banned from this rule, right,
- 27:24Speaker 1: They don't need more help I mean they don't.
- 27:27Speaker 4: So the good part about soccer is that there are
- 27:30Speaker 4: no caps. But there is a rule that maybe we
- 27:34Speaker 4: could use for a couple of weeks later. It's called
- 27:37Speaker 4: financial fair play, where you can only spend a certain
- 27:41Speaker 4: amount well your money. I think it's like a percentage
- 27:44Speaker 4: your money going out has to be a certain percentage
- 27:47Speaker 4: of your money going in. And if a team does
- 27:50Speaker 4: go outside of the financial fair play, they'll be doctor
- 27:53Speaker 4: or they'll be fine. It's normally the teams like Real
- 27:56Speaker 4: Madrid and Barcelona, but we might need to look into
- 27:58Speaker 4: financial fair plays. I'm gonna write that one down.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Why are you faking? I mean, what are you doing?
- 28:05Speaker 3: You're writing it down on a fake piece of paper
- 28:07Speaker 3: with a fake ben and the peter of the mod.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Doesn't seem rather unnecessary.
- 28:16Speaker 1: No, but I listen sometimes listen Taylor's voice. He's got
- 28:19Speaker 1: he's got a voice. He's got a platform. So does
- 28:21Speaker 1: mikey A. They can complain about it all they want.
- 28:23Speaker 1: What they needed was Craig Counsel, the manager of the Cubs,
- 28:27Speaker 1: to lend a voice to what it is they're thinking
- 28:30Speaker 1: in order to get something done. So I like that
- 28:32Speaker 1: it starts with Counsel and hopefully it picks up steam
- 28:34Speaker 1: because I am telling you right now, the LA Dodgers
- 28:37Speaker 1: bad for baseball. It's bad for I don't care what
- 28:40Speaker 1: anyone tells me. They are bad for baseball.
- 28:42Speaker 5: I love how Craig Counsel did it too, write he
- 28:45Speaker 5: was accusatory, but like asking questions like that's weird, isn't that.
- 28:48Speaker 3: That's one team? Does anyone agree with me? Anybody? Anybody?
- 28:52Speaker 3: Is that what he was doing there? Fishing for agreement?
- 28:54Speaker 3: I just didn't.
- 28:55Speaker 5: He didn't want to be, you know, the Colin Cowherd,
- 28:57Speaker 5: and just like with this great statement, like that's what
- 29:00Speaker 5: I think. It's just like, I'm gonna let you guys
- 29:02Speaker 5: think about this for a little bit because it's clear
- 29:04Speaker 5: and obvious. It's kind of a joke.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Mikey, what are you laughing at? Fishing for agreement? You
- 29:08Speaker 1: throw some chum in the water and see if anyone agrees,
- 29:10Speaker 1: you know.
- 29:10Speaker 6: I was just thinking of him being like, does anybody
- 29:13Speaker 6: agree with me? Besides idiots on Fox Sports Radio?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Anybody I need help somewhere, somebody.
- 29:19Speaker 5: We're not the best allies to have. I've decided that
- 29:23Speaker 5: Taylor and you got there the idiots.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Really.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I decided not to be insulted by Mikey's words.
- 29:30Speaker 3: There.
- 29:31Speaker 5: I meant me and Taylor, Okay, some coffee, Mikey, you good.
- 29:36Speaker 5: You actually might be the idiot.
- 29:38Speaker 3: It's terrible coffee. I mean, it's not espresso.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It's like they took a cup of coffee and they
- 29:45Speaker 1: made it seem like it's a double espresso. I'm familiar
- 29:49Speaker 1: with this. It happens to me all the time. It's
- 29:50Speaker 1: not espresso. I drink espress.
- 29:52Speaker 5: I ordered espresso. The guy went to the back seemingly
- 29:56Speaker 5: got a couple of espresso.
- 29:57Speaker 1: That's the key to the See, yeah, you gotta go
- 29:59Speaker 1: the back. You got to go to the back and
- 30:01Speaker 1: pretend you're doing something. And what he's doing is taking
- 30:03Speaker 1: his cup of coffee and putting a little bit in
- 30:06Speaker 1: two different cups with two splendors and passing it off
- 30:09Speaker 1: as espresso.
- 30:09Speaker 3: That's what he's doing.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I told him it was for Stugatz. He loves
- 30:12Speaker 5: his espresso. And he's like, I got you.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Bro bringing out the coffee.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yes, I mean I don't like this Dodger situation. Why
- 30:20Speaker 1: we making special rules for Otani? I mean, seriously, what
- 30:23Speaker 1: is happening here. I don't like it. Let's get behind council.
- 30:27Speaker 1: We're not the help that he needs, but at least
- 30:29Speaker 1: it's help.
- 30:30Speaker 3: It's help.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Nonetheless, Field Yates is going to join us coming up next.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Is he you excited for the NFL draft? It seems
- 30:37Speaker 1: like I know you're into the NBA playoffs. I don't
- 30:40Speaker 1: like when the experts when they tell me headed into
- 30:44Speaker 1: the draft it's not a great draft. I don't think
- 30:46Speaker 1: they have any idea if it's going to be a
- 30:48Speaker 1: great draft.
- 30:49Speaker 3: We won't know for.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Five years whether or not this is going to be
- 30:52Speaker 1: a great draft. It might turn out to be the
- 30:54Speaker 1: greatest draft in the history of the NFL.
- 30:56Speaker 5: So to answer your question, that's a large part of
- 30:58Speaker 5: the reason why I'm not hot on this NFL draft,
- 31:02Speaker 5: and it's because you're already taking away some of my
- 31:05Speaker 5: excitement by saying, Okay, they're not going to be very good.
- 31:09Speaker 5: So five years from now, I don't have to really
- 31:11Speaker 5: think about who my team is drafting. And oh, by
- 31:14Speaker 5: the way, my team is a team that's probably going
- 31:16Speaker 5: to be tanking this year.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Yes, Mikey, I.
- 31:19Speaker 6: Think you're wrong on the on the experts, I think
- 31:21Speaker 6: they can be we don't know on a player or two,
- 31:24Speaker 6: but I think overall they know like this isn't going
- 31:28Speaker 6: to be that draft.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I don't mind them knowing it.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I just mind them saying it like, this is a
- 31:32Speaker 1: time for you and I to fix our team. This
- 31:33Speaker 1: is our hope, this is our super Bowl Mikey, and
- 31:36Speaker 1: I don't want experts telling me we can't fix our
- 31:38Speaker 1: team with one draft.
- 31:40Speaker 6: So I don't it was a sunny day, then what's
- 31:42Speaker 6: a sunny dat.
- 31:45Speaker 4: So I don't really love the draft. But what I
- 31:47Speaker 4: do love about the draft is Stu You're saying, sometimes
- 31:51Speaker 4: it takes five years to know how the draft plays out. Yeah,
- 31:54Speaker 4: I love Once the draft ends, the first thing I
- 31:57Speaker 4: google is NFL draft grades and see what people are
- 32:00Speaker 4: giving certain picks.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Right, you love doing that?
- 32:04Speaker 6: Know the worst part about that, Taylor, The Jets always
- 32:06Speaker 6: get high grades.
- 32:08Speaker 3: They always get good players. They're always like, you know what,
- 32:10Speaker 3: I really like this guy.
- 32:12Speaker 5: And then you're just like, oh no, how many times
- 32:14Speaker 5: have you been to like Week four or five of
- 32:15Speaker 5: the season and said, you know what? I do remember
- 32:18Speaker 5: the Tennessee Titans got a great draft grade, and that's
- 32:21Speaker 5: why they're doing so well.
- 32:22Speaker 3: This season.
- 32:22Speaker 5: I never I think it lasts for about two weeks
- 32:24Speaker 5: and then you're just like, all right, get me.
- 32:25Speaker 3: To the season. But Mikey is right.
- 32:27Speaker 1: We always get great grades, right, but the players. The
- 32:29Speaker 1: problem is the players don't turn into grades until they
- 32:33Speaker 1: go somewhere else.
- 32:34Speaker 6: I mean, they all peaked in college, or they'll peak
- 32:38Speaker 6: five years after they leave the Jets.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Yes,
