Latest / UK Business Voices / How Gareth Webb and Anthony Holt Took On The Roof Moss Cleaners in High Wycombe
Transcript
- Gareth Webb and Anthony Holt spent more than ten years cleaning roofs for The Roof Moss Cleaners before they took the business on themselves in 2026. This is UK Business Voices. The name dates back to 2013, when the business's original founder started it. Gareth and Anthony worked for the founder, and for over a decade they cleaned roofs every day of the working week, mostly across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. That work covered every kind of roof. They have cleaned more than five thousand, from modern homes to roofs dating back to the eighteen hundreds. One long-running job was a boarding school in Berkshire, where they cleaned the roofs and gutters over several years, working from a cherry picker and an access tower, with no ladders on site, including on its historic clay roofs. In 2026 they set up their own limited company, G and A Property Services, to carry on The Roof Moss Cleaners. In their own words, they were pleased to have started the new company, and to build on the brand they had worked hard to build over many years. The way the work is shared hasn't changed much. The original founder still takes the first enquiries. Gareth and Anthony do the jobs, and they deal with each customer directly for the aftercare. Each of them now has thirteen years in the trade. In the next episode: how a roof is cleared of moss, step by step. The Roof Moss Cleaners is a roof cleaning company based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, run by Gareth Webb and Anthony Holt, who have cleaned roofs under the name since 2013, serving Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties.
