- 0:09Speaker 1: It's Andrew DiCecco, Eagles beat reporter for InsideTheBirds.com. And we
- 0:14Speaker 1: just wrapped day 16 of Eagles training camp. And it
- 0:18Speaker 1: was the lone open practice. This one was under the
- 0:21Speaker 1: lights of Lincoln Financial Field. It was a two-hour practice
- 0:26Speaker 1: and a lot to take away. By the way, the
- 0:29Speaker 1: total per the Eagles of people in attendance exceeded 45,000.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Just an outstanding turnout. Clearly, this is a city that
- 0:39Speaker 1: is driven by football above all, and the turnout was insane.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I mean, we got a chance to walk on the field,
- 0:48Speaker 1: those of us who covered the team before the game,
- 0:51Speaker 1: before the practice, and I took a moment just to
- 0:55Speaker 1: kind of look around, and I mean, the lower section of.
- 0:59Speaker 2: The stadium was completely filled.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Everyone was clamoring for Eagles football, and I thought that
- 1:07Speaker 1: The Eagles put on a good show. But let's get
- 1:10Speaker 1: to the practice report.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Who practiced? Who didn't?
- 1:15Speaker 1: And you'll see that there are some interesting names here.
- 1:18Speaker 1: The following Eagles did not practice. Offensive tackle Markel Bell.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Thumb leg.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Cornerback Ja'Corian Bennett. Knee. Tight end Grant Coccaterra.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Back.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Guard Landon Dickerson. Not injury-related.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Rest.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Cornerback Jonathan Jones. Shoulder.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Tight end Eli Stowers. Hamstring and safety Cole Wisneski.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Concussion.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Jonathan Grenard with the pectoral strain remains on the active
- 1:41Speaker 1: physically unable to perform list.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And limited for.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The Eagles on Tuesday evening was cornerback Mack McWilliams with
- 1:49Speaker 1: the shoulder. The transaction update, I mentioned that the Eagles
- 1:55Speaker 1: released safety JT Gray and running back Jaquinden Jackson on Monday. Well,
- 2:02Speaker 1: the corresponding moves occurred later Monday evening after the podcast
- 2:06Speaker 1: was recorded. The Eagles signed defensive back Jalen Mahoney and
- 2:11Speaker 1: running back Jordan Mims. Mahoney was recently of the UFL,
- 2:16Speaker 1: and Mims was recently with the Minnesota Vikings in training camp.
- 2:20Speaker 1: He was waived on August 12th. Let's get to the observations. Actually,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I do need to note that early in the team period,
- 2:31Speaker 1: Lane Johnson appeared to tweak something. He walked off the
- 2:34Speaker 1: field with the trainer, but he spent most of the
- 2:36Speaker 1: two-hour practice watching from the sideline. That's something to monitor,
- 2:41Speaker 1: of course, in his place. Fred Johnson came on at
- 2:45Speaker 1: right tackle, and that was the offensive line. Drew Kendall
- 2:50Speaker 1: came in at left guard, and he repped their all-practice
- 2:54Speaker 1: in place of Landon Dickerson. While we're at it, let's
- 2:59Speaker 1: just get to the O-line configurations. Left to right, Jordan Mailata,
- 3:02Speaker 1: Drew Kendall, Cam Juergens, Tyler Steen, Lane Johnson, and I
- 3:06Speaker 1: mentioned that veteran Fred Johnson stepped in as the replacement
- 3:09Speaker 1: at right tackle. Drew Kendall, I thought, did a nice
- 3:14Speaker 1: job filling in for Landon Dickerson at left guard. As
- 3:16Speaker 1: I mentioned previously, Kendall looks appreciably stronger relative to last
- 3:21Speaker 1: season and is playing at around 305 pounds, which should
- 3:24Speaker 1: help him at guard. The second-year offensive lineman has received
- 3:29Speaker 1: valuable reps this summer, both at center and guard. Jake
- 3:33Speaker 1: Majors briefly repped with the first team at center late
- 3:36Speaker 1: in the session, with Juergens returning on the ensuing series.
- 3:40Speaker 2: The second-team offensive.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Line, from left to right, left tackle Miles Hinton, left
- 3:45Speaker 1: guard Michael Morris, center Jake Majors, right guard Willie Lampkin,
- 3:49Speaker 1: although Michael Jordan, the veteran, also got some time there,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and right tackle Cameron Williams.
- 3:57Speaker 2: We'll start with the quarterback situation. Jalen Hurts.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Early in practice, he had a chance to hook up
- 4:02Speaker 1: with wide receiver Devontae Smith deep down the middle of
- 4:05Speaker 1: the field.
- 4:06Speaker 2: The pass, though, hung up in the air a little bit.
- 4:08Speaker 1: It allowed cornerback Quinion Mitchell to gain better position and
- 4:12Speaker 1: log the pass breakup.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Hurts threw to his right, delivered a strike over the middle.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Cross-body throw to Dontavian Wicks, and Wicks was open. He
- 4:22Speaker 1: targeted Wicks again shortly thereafter.
- 4:24Speaker 2: This time was on a heave into the corner of
- 4:26Speaker 2: the end zone.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Quinion Mitchell provided sticky coverage on the play, but ultimately
- 4:31Speaker 1: the pass was a little bit overthrown, just a hair
- 4:33Speaker 1: out of reach. But what I've seen from Jalen Hurts
- 4:37Speaker 1: and Dontavian Wicks is a developing rapport that's been apparent
- 4:41Speaker 1: all summer long. And I think with Dontavian Wicks being
- 4:46Speaker 1: the top starting receiver who's been available, you know, Devontae
- 4:52Speaker 1: Smith and Mekhi Lemon missed a lot of time. It's
- 4:55Speaker 1: allowed him to really established that chemistry with Jalen Hurts.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And I think in the short to intermediate levels of
- 5:02Speaker 1: the field, you're going to see him get peppered with
- 5:04Speaker 1: targets this season. Quinion Mitchell, by the way, made a
- 5:08Speaker 1: diving attempt at an interception after a Hurts throw, ricocheted
- 5:12Speaker 1: off the hands of Darius Cooper.
- 5:14Speaker 2: You got to have that.
- 5:15Speaker 1: That was an uncharacteristic drop for Darius Cooper. Quinion Mitchell
- 5:20Speaker 1: had an active evening. And so I also think that
- 5:25Speaker 1: While Darius Cooper had an uncharacteristic drop, so did Devontae
- 5:29Speaker 1: Smith on a play that looked like he lost concentration
- 5:33Speaker 1: on that. Devontae's almost automatic when it comes to catching
- 5:37Speaker 1: the football. He had a drop in this one, but
- 5:40Speaker 1: he also had a couple of really nice receptions that
- 5:42Speaker 1: we'll get to at some point here. But during a
- 5:45Speaker 1: red zone period, Jalen Hurts delivered a well-placed ball to
- 5:48Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley, who was running a wheel route in the
- 5:51Speaker 1: corner of the end zone with Zach Bond trailing.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Zach Bond had decent coverage on the play.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And I've highlighted what he's brought in terms of coverage
- 5:58Speaker 1: and just being a well-rounded player. But Saquon made a
- 6:02Speaker 1: nice grab. He went to the ground with it. And
- 6:05Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts threw it with a lot of touch. And
- 6:08Speaker 1: that's what you want to see. The timing certainly was there.
- 6:11Speaker 1: The quarterback two update. Andy Dalton was first up with
- 6:16Speaker 1: the second team. Tanner McKee, fresh off an encouraging performance
- 6:20Speaker 1: against the Patriots, got the nod on Monday, so the
- 6:22Speaker 1: rotations continued. During an early team period, Andy Dalton zipped
- 6:26Speaker 1: in a pass that was too tall for Darius Cooper.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Michael Carter II was the defender in coverage.
- 6:32Speaker 1: He had a better shot at reeling it in than
- 6:34Speaker 1: Cooper did. Dalton did, however, connect with wide receiver Elijah
- 6:38Speaker 1: Moore on a deep crossing route for a touchdown. There
- 6:41Speaker 1: was no one else there. He put it right where
- 6:43Speaker 1: he could catch it and run. So that was a
- 6:45Speaker 1: nice throw there from Andy Dalton. But aside from that,
- 6:48Speaker 1: nothing notable from Andy Dalton. But Tanner McKee piloted a
- 6:53Speaker 1: series that resulted in a Will Shipley touchdown right up
- 6:56Speaker 1: the gut. And on the two-point try, McKee attempted to
- 6:59Speaker 1: fit one in the back of the end zone to
- 7:01Speaker 1: wide receiver Hollywood Brown. While quarterback Keely Ringo was there
- 7:04Speaker 1: for the pass breakup, McKee delivered a pass on the
- 7:08Speaker 1: series that was a bit behind tight end EJ Jenkins.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But the 6'6 target hauled it in. and took a
- 7:15Speaker 1: thud from safety Andre Sam that knocked him off balance.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I thought that Rick Wolin had a really strong night.
- 7:24Speaker 1: There was a play down the field that it was
- 7:26Speaker 1: a timing play where maybe, and again, we always saw
- 7:31Speaker 1: this once, and this is not an indictment on the player,
- 7:33Speaker 1: but it looked like maybe the route could have been
- 7:36Speaker 1: a little bit more precise from wide receiver Makai Lemon,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and Rick Wolin undercut the route, made a nice interception
- 7:43Speaker 1: on the play, and There was another one later where
- 7:46Speaker 1: Jalen was facing pressure up the.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Middle, I believe it was. He doesn't get enough on it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: This is along the right sideline, as I'm looking at
- 7:55Speaker 1: my notes here, and he lofts it to Devontae, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: Reek-Wohan just steps right in front, picks it off, takes
- 8:03Speaker 1: it the other way for a touchdown.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Now, there were moments in this where Reek-Wohan had..
- 8:09Speaker 1: He's gotten beaten as well, but he's been pretty close
- 8:14Speaker 1: and tight in coverage there, and that's really what you
- 8:16Speaker 1: want to see. I think that he had a really
- 8:19Speaker 1: strong practice, and that comes on the shoulders of a
- 8:23Speaker 1: pretty nice showing there in New England on the second
- 8:26Speaker 1: day of practice there.
- 8:29Speaker 2: But that's something that I thought.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You want to see from a corner that has been
- 8:36Speaker 1: A bit of a mystery, a bit up and down
- 8:38Speaker 1: in his career, but I think you're going to see
- 8:41Speaker 1: a lot more of that this season because teams are
- 8:43Speaker 1: going to avoid Cooper Dejean. They're going to avoid Quinion Mitchell,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and I thought that he did a really nice job
- 8:48Speaker 1: there to.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Come up with that.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Really good pressure in this one. I thought Nolan Smith,
- 8:54Speaker 1: Jalix Hunt, Mauro Jomo. Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter had
- 8:59Speaker 1: some nice plays to.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Bottle up the running game.
- 9:02Speaker 1: There weren't a lot of holes for Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and Will Shipley to really run through. There's been moments
- 9:10Speaker 1: in camp where that has been the case, but it
- 9:12Speaker 1: wasn't the case tonight. And look, you may look at
- 9:15Speaker 1: it and you're hearing me talk about the pressures from
- 9:17Speaker 1: these players, and maybe you're starting to, you may have, concerns,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you may look at it, well, what's up with the
- 9:24Speaker 1: offensive line? Well, bear in mind that Fred Johnson was
- 9:27Speaker 1: playing right tackle and J. Lux Hunt gave him all
- 9:29Speaker 1: the work that he could handle. And I think from
- 9:32Speaker 1: an interior perspective, there's been moments where Cam Juergens, who
- 9:36Speaker 1: I think has had a nice training camp, Landon Dickerson
- 9:39Speaker 1: and Tyler Steen have really performed well, but the Eagles
- 9:42Speaker 1: also have really talented players on the other side as well.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So you're going to see that back and forth, that
- 9:48Speaker 1: give and take as you have, as you, if you've
- 9:50Speaker 1: read my observation, listen to these podcasts all summer. And
- 9:55Speaker 1: it seems like every training camp practice I'm noting performance.
- 10:00Speaker 1: from Jalux Hunt and Mauro Jomo. Jomo had two, three
- 10:04Speaker 1: sacks in this one, would-be sacks. Of course, they're not
- 10:07Speaker 1: taking the quarterback to the ground. They're letting these plays
- 10:10Speaker 1: go off. But Jalux Hunt was just... wreaking havoc, just
- 10:16Speaker 1: an active, rangy player, fluid, athletic, and when you're going
- 10:20Speaker 1: against Fred Johnson, J-Look's just.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Beating him like a drum, and really..
- 10:26Speaker 1: That earlier in training camp, there were moments where Jalux
- 10:29Speaker 1: was really.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Getting the better of him. But to be honest, Jalux has.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Had, whether it's Will Campbell in New England or whoever,
- 10:35Speaker 1: he's been delivering. And a Jomo is someone that I
- 10:39Speaker 1: think is going to have an absolute breakout campaign. He's explosive.
- 10:43Speaker 1: He plays with such an edge and doesn't quit on
- 10:47Speaker 1: a play. His motor is always running hot. And he
- 10:50Speaker 1: had a really nice practice in this one as well.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And again, Landon Dickerson didn't practice.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I'm someone who really likes to wear jeans, but it's
- 10:58Speaker 3: becoming really, really hard these days to find jeans that
- 11:02Speaker 3: aren't tight fitting or restricting, especially for someone who's active.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I like to go to the gym. I'm always out
- 11:08Speaker 3: and about. Even when I'm not active and I'm just
- 11:11Speaker 3: sitting in a chair, you start to get that feeling of.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Being constricted and restrained.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And I hate that feeling. Perfect example. Last year, I
- 11:18Speaker 3: did a fantasy football draft. It took three hours. And
- 11:22Speaker 3: I could just feel myself moving around my chair, adjusting myself.
- 11:26Speaker 3: But everything changed when I found the perfect jean. It's
- 11:30Speaker 3: a jean that fits me just right. It doesn't pinch.
- 11:34Speaker 3: It stretches nicely. Here's what makes these genuinely different from
- 11:38Speaker 3: other stretch jeans, all right? They don't look like stretch jeans.
- 11:41Speaker 3: They look like sharp, classic denim. They're so polished that
- 11:45Speaker 3: you can go straight from like a tailgate parking lot
- 11:48Speaker 3: right to a dinner reservation without anybody clocking you as
- 11:51Speaker 3: that guy who just spent four hours in a lot.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I just recently did another fantasy football draft and I
- 11:57Speaker 3: wore the perfect jean and I was just so comfortable. Look,
- 12:00Speaker 3: these things are flexible enough that you can actually move
- 12:03Speaker 3: around in them. You can bend to get that drink
- 12:06Speaker 3: in the cooler. You can sit in a chair for
- 12:09Speaker 3: a few hours. You can stand for the anthem at
- 12:11Speaker 3: a ball game. You can get up and guard somebody
- 12:14Speaker 3: in a pickup game wearing the perfect jean without even
- 12:17Speaker 3: hearing a seam threatened to give out.
- 12:19Speaker 1: All right.

- 12:38Speaker 3: using the code birds. Hey, football season is coming up soon.
- 12:42Speaker 3: And I know that's going to be so many late
- 12:44Speaker 3: nights for me. You know how many times the Eagles
- 12:46Speaker 3: are on prime time and I'm not going to be
- 12:48Speaker 3: going to bed until after well after midnight. And that
- 12:50Speaker 3: means the next day I can probably count the number
- 12:53Speaker 3: of cups of coffee. I would drink on two hands.
- 12:56Speaker 3: But not anymore. That's because for a while now, I've
- 12:59Speaker 3: been using ultra pouches. It is instant focus in a pouch.

- 13:33Speaker 3: and less anxious compared to people who use nicotine or
- 13:36Speaker 3: even when i drink a lot of coffee i will
- 13:39Speaker 3: totally be using them when i'm burning the candle at

- 14:07Speaker 3: where you heard about them. Please support our show and
- 14:10Speaker 3: tell them inside the birds sent you.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Cam Juergens.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I thought was fine. Tyler Steen, I thought was fine.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Drew Kendall, I noted as he had some really quality
- 14:19Speaker 1: reps as well. But again, when you have talented players
- 14:23Speaker 1: on both sides, there's going to be moments where both
- 14:26Speaker 1: were at different points. One group is going to look
- 14:29Speaker 1: a little bit better than the other. And that's just
- 14:30Speaker 1: the nature of it. When you have two dominant offensive
- 14:34Speaker 1: line and defensive lines, that's just the way it goes.
- 14:38Speaker 2: On the two point play.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I think I mentioned this, Keely Ringo with a nice
- 14:43Speaker 1: play to break it up in the back of the
- 14:44Speaker 1: end zone.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Of Hollywood Brown.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Keely's quietly made some plays, and he's gotten a lot
- 14:48Speaker 1: more reps lately when the Eagles are banged up there.
- 14:52Speaker 2: They don't have Jonathan Jones. They haven't had Ja'Cory and Bennett.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Sean Wade, he practiced today, but there were moments where
- 14:59Speaker 1: he's been a little bit banged up as well. And
- 15:02Speaker 1: so there's going to be opportunities, and Keely, I think,
- 15:05Speaker 1: is making the most of it. And when you release
- 15:07Speaker 1: someone like JT Gray, by the way— who is and
- 15:10Speaker 1: has been one of the NFL's top gunners for a
- 15:13Speaker 1: while now, if he's not on the roster, I think
- 15:16Speaker 1: that all but secures Keeley Ringo's spot if you had
- 15:20Speaker 1: any questions about his standing. Makai Lemon found the end
- 15:25Speaker 1: zone on this day, and that's what you want to see.
- 15:28Speaker 1: He lined up in the backfield. He caught a wheel
- 15:30Speaker 1: route for a touchdown. He was wide open. Moments like that.
- 15:35Speaker 1: As a young player, when you're really trying to find
- 15:37Speaker 1: your footing and your place in the offense..
- 15:40Speaker 2: That's what you want to see. I thought he made
- 15:42Speaker 2: the most of his reps, largely.
- 15:45Speaker 1: There were moments where you can see that he's still
- 15:48Speaker 1: trying to establish that chemistry with Jalen Hurts. He's still
- 15:51Speaker 1: learning the details of what he's being asked to do
- 15:53Speaker 1: in this offense. But he's been used a lot, whether
- 15:57Speaker 1: it was yesterday, today, as a motion guy. And so
- 16:00Speaker 1: I think that that kind of indicates how you're going
- 16:03Speaker 1: to see him used.
- 16:04Speaker 2: And what he needs more than anything right now, of course,
- 16:07Speaker 2: is reps.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And he's getting that and With that, you can expect
- 16:11Speaker 1: growing pains, but that was a nice moment for the
- 16:13Speaker 1: rookie wideout, and he made a nice play there. Devontae
- 16:17Speaker 1: Smith made a really nice grab. He stabbed it up
- 16:21Speaker 1: in the air. It was sort of a comeback, an in-breaker, and.
- 16:28Speaker 2: That was tight coverage there.
- 16:32Speaker 1: He was able to kind of use his body and
- 16:34Speaker 1: his strong hands to secure that one. He also had
- 16:37Speaker 1: a nice one on a tight window throw where it
- 16:41Speaker 1: looked like he almost came back to the football a
- 16:43Speaker 1: little bit, played it extremely well. There was tight coverage
- 16:46Speaker 1: there from Reek Wollin, but Devontae was able to grab
- 16:49Speaker 1: it and make something out of it. And Devontae is
- 16:53Speaker 1: such an automatic player, and I think sometimes he may
- 16:56Speaker 1: even get.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Taken for granted a little bit.
- 16:58Speaker 1: But, man, when you watch him work, sometimes it's like
- 17:01Speaker 1: poetry in motion. He is a smooth operator as a
- 17:04Speaker 1: route runner. and just having a really good feel for
- 17:07Speaker 1: how to read, um, defensive backs. And, and also just
- 17:12Speaker 1: the chemistry with hurts, I think is really, um, apparent
- 17:16Speaker 1: and it should be, they've worked together for a while,
- 17:18Speaker 1: but you get a sense that they both know where
- 17:20Speaker 1: each other's going to be on a given play. The
- 17:22Speaker 1: timing between the two of them is there much like
- 17:24Speaker 1: it is with, let's say a Dallas Goddard. And I
- 17:27Speaker 1: thought that Devante did a nice job there. There was, um, Yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 1: the one that Wolin had, I'm looking at my notes,
- 17:38Speaker 1: to Devontae, it was like a floater. He didn't get
- 17:42Speaker 1: a lot on it, and I outlined that, but that
- 17:47Speaker 1: was what I observed from that particular throw. I thought
- 17:53Speaker 1: that Zach Bond and Jihad Campbell were both really active.
- 17:57Speaker 2: They were rangy. They were covering ground.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I really noticed them in coverage a decent amount in
- 18:02Speaker 1: this practice, and it was just, it was, it was fun.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It was fast paced.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And I think it's good that the fan base got
- 18:11Speaker 1: a chance to see the Eagles out there. That's your,
- 18:14Speaker 1: you know, for some, that's their first chance to see
- 18:16Speaker 1: them up close and in person. And there was a
- 18:19Speaker 1: lot to glean from this practice. The Eagles always do
- 18:22Speaker 1: a really nice job of putting this on once a year. They,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I got to give a shout out to my guy,
- 18:28Speaker 1: Dave Spadaro, for really emceeing this thing.
- 18:32Speaker 2: He's doing the play-by-play. He's keeping everyone engaged. He makes
- 18:35Speaker 2: it really.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Interactive and fun for those in attendance. And I think
- 18:40Speaker 1: that Dave deserves a mention there. He does a great
- 18:47Speaker 1: job always, but in these joint practices, he really shines.
- 18:51Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean, it was just a, it was
- 18:54Speaker 1: an eventful quality, quality session. The Eagles have one practice
- 18:58Speaker 1: left tomorrow, day 17.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And I don't quite know what to expect. I don't
- 19:05Speaker 2: think it's going to be a long practice.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I would imagine that you're going to see a lot
- 19:09Speaker 1: of starters get some work because this is really the,
- 19:12Speaker 1: they're not going to be playing in the game on,
- 19:14Speaker 1: on Friday night, but it's another good opportunity to get
- 19:19Speaker 1: out there and, and, Who knows? I think back to
- 19:22Speaker 1: a practice in 2024 where I think it was the
- 19:25Speaker 1: last day Nick Sirianni did a situational thing or a
- 19:28Speaker 1: competitive series, I think it was, where he's calling a
- 19:31Speaker 1: player from offense and a player from defense at random,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and they're doing different things. I hope that that is
- 19:37Speaker 1: something that's in the cards for the final day, but
- 19:39Speaker 1: you're never sure. They like to switch things up. What
- 19:42Speaker 1: am I looking for tomorrow? Well, I'm looking for– well,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'll be personally looking at the quarter situation, who's stepping up,
- 19:52Speaker 1: who's making plays, who is there anyone who's sort of
- 19:56Speaker 1: taking a lead there because the Eagles are still toggling
- 19:58Speaker 1: between the two. It seems like they're still undecided on
- 20:01Speaker 1: who's going to be the quarterback too, which is kind
- 20:04Speaker 1: of crazy to think that we're now venturing into a
- 20:08Speaker 1: the latter stages of the summer.
- 20:11Speaker 2: So decision time is coming. It's fast approaching.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And I'm going to be looking at the linebacker situation
- 20:17Speaker 1: personally because the Eagles have..
- 20:20Speaker 2: A lot of talent there.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Vic Fangio called it the deepest position on the defensive side.
- 20:25Speaker 2: How many are you going to keep? You have Smile Mondin.
- 20:27Speaker 2: You have Chance Campbell. You have Deontay Lawson. Do you
- 20:31Speaker 2: need to keep five?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Is one making a case for the Eagles to keep five?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Who's shining on special teams? That's something that I'll be
- 20:37Speaker 1: looking at. Mack McWilliams, this is a big week for
- 20:40Speaker 1: him when you're looking at it from a cornerback depth perspective.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I think he's on the roster bubble. We'll see if
- 20:45Speaker 1: he's able to separate and remove himself from that.
- 20:48Speaker 2: A big week for him.
- 20:50Speaker 1: A big week for someone like Chance Campbell, who I mentioned.
- 20:53Speaker 1: A big week for..
- 20:54Speaker 2: I.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Think Keely Ringo is pretty safe. But for some of
- 20:59Speaker 1: these young offensive linemen, who I think have had a really,
- 21:03Speaker 1: really strong summer. I can't emphasize that enough. I think
- 21:06Speaker 1: Willie Lampkin is safe. But you have someone like Micah
- 21:09Speaker 1: Morris and Jake Majors. Jake Majors, by the way... especially
- 21:13Speaker 1: over the past couple weeks, he's come on a little bit.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And he can play guard. He can play center. It
- 21:18Speaker 1: seems like the Eagles like him. Nick Sirianni included him
- 21:22Speaker 1: in with that second group of offensive linemen before practice.
- 21:26Speaker 1: So he's someone that I will be watching quite a bit,
- 21:28Speaker 1: not only on Wednesday, but also, of course, in the game.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And I think the Eagles are going to have a
- 21:33Speaker 1: really tough decision there.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 21:39Speaker 3: long lines. We've all been there. But when it comes
- 21:41Speaker 3: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 21:46Speaker 3: the dispensary for sports fans. Just minutes outside of Philly
- 21:50Speaker 3: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast.
- 21:53Speaker 3: No hassle, no waiting. And they don't just care about convenience.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Camden Apothecary is all about the guest experience. Their staff
- 22:02Speaker 3: makes sure you feel taken care of every time you

- 22:09Speaker 3: at the fairest price. So whether you're stocking up for
- 22:12Speaker 3: the tailgate, the watch party, or celebrating a big win,
- 22:16Speaker 3: you know you're getting the good stuff without overpaying. They
- 22:20Speaker 3: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
- 22:24Speaker 3: service members, and healthcare pros. Camden Apothecary, top quality cannabis,
- 22:29Speaker 3: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans 21
- 22:32Speaker 3: and up.
- 22:34Speaker 1: The tie typically goes to the draft pick, Micah Morris
- 22:37Speaker 1: in this case. But I think Majors is a player
- 22:40Speaker 1: who can help the Eagles, give them a little bit
- 22:42Speaker 1: better depth. He's not a guard only. He's a center
- 22:45Speaker 1: by trade. So I understand that from a big picture perspective,
- 22:49Speaker 1: it's not something that many of you listening are going
- 22:52Speaker 1: to put a lot of focus on.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And I get that. But me, as someone who covers
- 22:57Speaker 2: the team, these are things.
- 22:58Speaker 1: That I've been monitoring all summer. And now things are
- 23:01Speaker 1: coming to a head. And I'm really interested to see
- 23:03Speaker 1: how things shake out. That's going to do it for
- 23:06Speaker 1: this episode of the Checo Daily. I'm Andrew DiCecco, and
- 23:09Speaker 1: I'll catch you all on the next one.
