Honda is shutting down its U.S. electric vehicle push, ending production of the Prologue by the end of 2026 due to lackluster demand. Instead, the automaker is doubling down on hybrids and gas-powered cars, unveiling 15 new hybrid models by March 2030—with the first hitting roads next year. This follows the cancellation of three other EVs planned for Ohio. While used Prologues will still be available, Honda hasn’t ruled out a future EV comeback in the U.S., but for now, hybrids and gas cars are the focus.
