- 0:14Speaker 2: With Jacob Hester.
- 0:15Speaker 3: And aren't you scared?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Live from the Haunts Studio. Here's Jacob Hester.
- 0:36Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in hour number two of O
- 0:39Speaker 4: t B from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Back like you never loved. All right, let's go around
- 0:48Speaker 5: the room. Who's got the highest qb R in the
- 0:50Speaker 5: NFL qb R in the NFL Give me a second,
- 1:00Speaker 5: all right, I'll.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Throw a name out there. And I don't want to
- 1:03Speaker 3: do this, but it's a Dak Prescott.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Okay, laundry.
- 1:08Speaker 6: I also feel like I need to think about this also.
- 1:10Speaker 6: I kind of liked the heads up in the the
- 1:12Speaker 6: whole point.
- 1:13Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:13Speaker 5: That's s QBR.
- 1:14Speaker 4: That's the whole point. It's rapid fire. I'm trying to
- 1:17Speaker 4: trick you here.
- 1:18Speaker 7: What's wild is I don't know if anybody is playing
- 1:20Speaker 7: better the.
- 1:24Speaker 8: Bakeryfield.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah picked what I picked Dak because I think his
- 1:30Speaker 3: because they take everything consideration. He throwing the downfield a
- 1:32Speaker 3: little bit more so. I think he has more yards.
- 1:35Speaker 6: Yeah, he got my dad like points.
- 1:38Speaker 7: Just got more yards.
- 1:42Speaker 5: I don't know because who's he play for?
- 1:47Speaker 8: That's so Dad Baker is a good point. He's been
- 1:52Speaker 8: playing well.
- 1:53Speaker 7: I don't know about QBR. QBR sometimes can be pretty misleading.
- 1:56Speaker 7: But Baker or and Dak, no one's playing better.
- 1:58Speaker 5: I mean he picks his Dak all right.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Here goes the top ten in QBR so far here
- 2:04Speaker 4: on this season at number ten, Mac Jones at number nine,
- 2:10Speaker 4: Matthews Stafford at number eight, Baker Mayfield at number seven,
- 2:15Speaker 4: Jared Goff at six, Josh Allen at five, Lamar Jackson
- 2:22Speaker 4: at four, Patrick Mahomes at three, Dak Prescott at two,
- 2:28Speaker 4: Sam Donald and at number one.
- 2:31Speaker 5: No wish Trevor Lawrence eighteenth.
- 2:35Speaker 4: No, it's a good guess though, but Spencer rally higher
- 2:38Speaker 4: than Trevor Lawrence.
- 2:39Speaker 8: Love that.
- 2:43Speaker 5: My whole point in doing.
- 2:44Speaker 8: This, so almost says Sam Donald.
- 2:45Speaker 4: But I was like, no, have guessed the name and
- 2:47Speaker 4: I've given you the top ten.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 8: Still, Toronco is this Tua I would love.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Two?
- 2:59Speaker 4: Is actually Conspenser because it's Justin Herbert right, No, just
- 3:03Speaker 4: hers fifteen say.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It's probably not j justus because there's Jordan Love.
- 3:08Speaker 5: No, he's eleven.
- 3:12Speaker 7: Reason Daniel Jones Indiana Jones.
- 3:16Speaker 5: That's the whole reason I brought it up. I knew
- 3:18Speaker 5: that none of y'all something, and I knew I could
- 3:21Speaker 5: give you all the.
- 3:21Speaker 7: Top knew that answer to his name is Daniel Jones.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So the top two qbrs in the National Football League
- 3:31Speaker 4: are Daniel Jones, who was kicked out of New York
- 3:34Speaker 4: and Sam Darnold, who was kicked out of New York.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Those franchiss is just bad.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Now, the Giants have won a couple of Super Bowls
- 3:40Speaker 4: with Eli Manning, so I get that. But it just
- 3:44Speaker 4: kind of shows you and tells you the guy that
- 3:47Speaker 4: you're always like that guy suck.
- 3:48Speaker 5: That guy is a bust a lot of times in
- 3:50Speaker 5: the National Football League.
- 3:52Speaker 4: So much it's about opportunity, who you're with, who's around you,
- 3:57Speaker 4: because you know your eye was telling you the story
- 4:00Speaker 4: during the draft when you selected that player in the
- 4:02Speaker 4: first round. Now, I'm not saying that's gonna last for
- 4:05Speaker 4: the total of the year, but looks pretty good so far.
- 4:08Speaker 7: So much as the tournament by your coach. Uh obviously
- 4:13Speaker 7: the players around you, but like your coach and the
- 4:15Speaker 7: way you're the same coach can't coach the same team
- 4:20Speaker 7: like two different teams the same way. Like you, your
- 4:22Speaker 7: coach has to be flexible and be able to design
- 4:28Speaker 7: plays and coach coach the plays that they're they're they've
- 4:32Speaker 7: designed with multiple types of personalities, multiple types of team chemistry.
- 4:38Speaker 7: Like not every there's no one two teams built the
- 4:40Speaker 7: same way.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah, and.
- 4:45Speaker 7: People sometimes people call it system quarterbacks.
- 4:47Speaker 5: It's not.
- 4:47Speaker 7: It's not a system, it's just a better offense.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Uh.
- 4:51Speaker 7: In the NFL, there's no such thing as like a
- 4:53Speaker 7: system quarterback.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Uh.
- 4:55Speaker 7: There's just bad offenses out there. There's bad programs, there's
- 4:59Speaker 7: bad coaches out there, so that it's the opposite of
- 5:02Speaker 7: a system quarterback. Like, yeah, if you get put with
- 5:05Speaker 7: some bad teams, you're not going to be very good.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 7: I was super fortunate to get drafted where I was.
- 5:12Speaker 7: I'm glad I didn't get drafted two rounds before then
- 5:15Speaker 7: go to the Jaguars or the Panthers. My career might
- 5:17Speaker 7: have lasted fourteen days.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Right, Wait are you talking about Yes, your point, but
- 5:24Speaker 6: you say system quarterback and you don't believe that that's
- 5:29Speaker 6: a thing.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Like I'm not in college.
- 5:30Speaker 6: I agree, Okay, I'm not agreeing or disagreeing. I don't
- 5:33Speaker 6: know what were you talking about. Were you talking about
- 5:35Speaker 6: Mac Jones? Because people were talking about how like Rock Party,
- 5:38Speaker 6: they say all the time that he's a system quarterback,
- 5:41Speaker 6: and then Mac Jones goes in that same system and
- 5:45Speaker 6: he's what tenth.
- 5:47Speaker 7: So I don't know, I'm just me like a system quarterback,
- 5:50Speaker 7: and I've never really given this a whole lot of thought.
- 5:53Speaker 7: You don't see it in the NFL. Like system quarterbacks
- 5:56Speaker 7: not a thing in the NFL. Yeah, you have better coaches,
- 5:58Speaker 7: you have better play college, you have better designers of
- 6:01Speaker 7: plays and game planners. But in college, there's system quarterbacks
- 6:06Speaker 7: that are doing something that's an outlier, like doing a
- 6:09Speaker 7: type of offense that you know, let's just let's say
- 6:12Speaker 7: Mike leaves Texas Tech for example, I would say those
- 6:15Speaker 7: are system quarterbacks because nobody else was running the air raid.
- 6:18Speaker 7: No one was throwing a sixty five times a game.
- 6:20Speaker 7: Those guys had a billion yards and most of them
- 6:23Speaker 7: never panned out and do a more traditional type of office.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Look at Will.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Rogers right in Missisipi State. He was there three years.
- 6:28Speaker 3: He was like every record. Rogers never did anything that's
- 6:31Speaker 3: a state I mean, I.
- 6:32Speaker 7: Mean technically a triple option quarterback would be a system
- 6:35Speaker 7: type quarterback in my opinion, because you're running a type
- 6:38Speaker 7: of offense that a defensive coordinator is seeing once a
- 6:41Speaker 7: year and it's really hard to game plan for. But
- 6:44Speaker 7: that quarterback's really good in that system and that's exactly
- 6:47Speaker 7: what But it doesn't like necessarily translate to other types
- 6:49Speaker 7: of football. In the NFL, you don't have that. You
- 6:52Speaker 7: just have good coaches and you have bad coaches.
- 6:53Speaker 6: Maybe like Tennessee too, because Joey Aguilar comes and now
- 6:57Speaker 6: he's like in Heisman Talks, Nico Yamali all the I
- 7:01Speaker 6: tried so hard to say and he sucks.
- 7:06Speaker 8: So I don't know if that's Tennessee.
- 7:09Speaker 7: That was like crazy like that. It's not a high
- 7:10Speaker 7: school offense there.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Run.
- 7:11Speaker 7: It's just a good offense. Right. They're not doing they're
- 7:14Speaker 7: not running plays in philosophies and mechanics that nobody else
- 7:18Speaker 7: is doing. That's just calling good plays and designing good plays.
- 7:22Speaker 7: Like is that Texas and Texas Tech was just so
- 7:26Speaker 7: different at the time, Like Mississippi State. Yeah, Like missip
- 7:29Speaker 7: State came in here and threw for seventeen hundred yards
- 7:31Speaker 7: in one game and it was against l s u
- 7:33Speaker 7: kJ was binge two weeks later. Yeah, that's different, But
- 7:36Speaker 7: to say there's a back. Mac Jones was in New England,
- 7:41Speaker 7: had a terrible time. Patricia was his offense. Matt Tricia
- 7:47Speaker 7: was his offensive coordinator. Who's going to be successful in
- 7:49Speaker 7: that season? Tom Brady wouldn't have been. He's probably been.
- 7:54Speaker 4: More successful Matt Patricia, who is a lifelong defensive coordinator
- 7:58Speaker 4: currently the defense coordinator for the Buckeyes.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Yeah right, Belichick made that stupid move to make Patricia
- 8:06Speaker 3: o C. Mac Jones went to the playoffics of rookie
- 8:09Speaker 3: People forget that he was ten and seven and went
- 8:11Speaker 3: to the playoff's rookie year. It's like, yeah, until Patricia
- 8:15Speaker 3: came there and screwed him up.
- 8:17Speaker 7: You gotta think like till Belichick, guys had a pretty
- 8:23Speaker 7: big falloff.
- 8:25Speaker 8: Oh my god. It's honestly, like it's kind of sad
- 8:29Speaker 8: to me.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Like, yeah, he thought he was a smart sky in
- 8:31Speaker 5: the room.
- 8:32Speaker 7: So okay, well I don't so like such a great
- 8:34Speaker 7: coach for such a long time. Yea, did he have
- 8:37Speaker 7: like a like I don't know, like a mental drop
- 8:41Speaker 7: because he did hire Matt Patricia as an offensive coordinator
- 8:44Speaker 7: did he forget that he was a defensive coordinator.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I think I think. I think Jake's point, like, you know,
- 8:50Speaker 3: he was so good for so long. He's like, this
- 8:52Speaker 3: is gonna work because I say it's gonna work, not
- 8:54Speaker 3: necessarily do with his homework, just like, yeah, oh I can,
- 8:57Speaker 3: I can do it.
- 8:57Speaker 5: It's gonna work. As I say, so, I agree.
- 9:01Speaker 7: And the chat asking if I'll go on record and
- 9:03Speaker 7: say the air raid is the trash offense now it
- 9:06Speaker 7: looks so fun.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Wants to know where the Jaguars play. Look, I'm from
- 9:11Speaker 4: tree Back, he's from Tyler, Texas.
- 9:15Speaker 5: We're gonna call it the Jaguars for as long as
- 9:18Speaker 5: we're here.
- 9:19Speaker 4: We could.
- 9:19Speaker 5: I know that. Come on, you're ready.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Oh, Palmer will come in here and be like, did
- 9:24Speaker 3: you say jaguars? Because I had to do an NFL
- 9:27Speaker 3: promo last year and I also say jaguars.
- 9:29Speaker 8: I'm confused.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I think the correct terms jaguar. He's like you said,
- 9:36Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Like I am settled down.
- 9:41Speaker 8: Wait, is somebody saying are we saying it wrong?
- 9:43Speaker 5: Is just say it real? Red? Now?
- 9:44Speaker 8: Jaguar has been the thing my entire life.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I'm going to keep Jaguars who different people who want
- 9:50Speaker 3: to be proud of it will say it's jag I.
- 9:52Speaker 6: Don't think I've ever heard somebody say jaguars like jag warn.
- 9:59Speaker 3: You ever hear the come tell me for the for
- 10:01Speaker 3: the car, jaguar, Jauar, Jaguar, Jaguar.
- 10:06Speaker 8: This is not how I say it at all, jack jaguar.
- 10:09Speaker 8: I've never heard.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I'm not saying that it was uar.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Jaguars that now we're saying it so many times that
- 10:18Speaker 6: it doesn't sound like.
- 10:19Speaker 8: A real word.
- 10:20Speaker 7: This word has lost all meaning.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Jaguars.
- 10:22Speaker 8: What even.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Jaguar?
- 10:26Speaker 3: The team in Jackson.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Someone of the chances that jaguar.
- 10:29Speaker 6: Was literally jack It was literally a Johnson Jaguar Johnson
- 10:33Speaker 6: High School.
- 10:34Speaker 8: Okay, So I think I know how to say jaguars.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, see that's that's her mascot.
- 10:40Speaker 8: I think you are.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Ah yeah, team plays there in Jacksonville ball Jaguars.
- 10:48Speaker 3: For I promise, I promise you the folks in Jacksonville
- 10:52Speaker 3: say jaguar.
- 10:54Speaker 5: There's no saying jaguar. I ain't doing that. Should we
- 10:59Speaker 5: call you want to?
- 11:00Speaker 7: You want to move him to London?
- 11:01Speaker 8: Like wait, where to go?
- 11:07Speaker 3: I haven't clown is Cowenn actually a really good.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I think he is. He's got to be
- 11:15Speaker 7: pretty good.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Right one.
- 11:18Speaker 3: They're four winning despite not being that great talent wise.
- 11:25Speaker 3: You look at what he did in Tampa's offense last year,
- 11:27Speaker 3: like Cohen's got a little something and he was good
- 11:30Speaker 3: at the Rams before that.
- 11:32Speaker 7: Dude, it's Frank Cringey. Then I saw it again the
- 11:35Speaker 7: other day.
- 11:36Speaker 3: It's it's the facial expression.
- 11:40Speaker 7: That comedic if he would have just done it straight faced.
- 11:43Speaker 6: Okay, so Matt, Matt is listening and he just sent
- 11:47Speaker 6: me a Google Jaguar pronunciation.
- 11:51Speaker 8: Okay, let's see.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Yeah, if it didn't say jag wire, I don't really get.
- 11:54Speaker 7: An audio of like Serie pronouncing it or something.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Jaguars.
- 12:02Speaker 7: It sounded like how we.
- 12:03Speaker 8: Said, I don't hear a difference.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Jaguar, that says that says jaguarsaid.
- 12:11Speaker 5: Jaguar wire back.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Yeah, turns out the red neck way is the right way,
- 12:16Speaker 4: even if it's not keeping.
- 12:18Speaker 8: He said old country as saying Jaguar.
- 12:21Speaker 5: We're just we're just system speakers.
- 12:25Speaker 8: We're system speakers. We're in the Jaguars.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Sheep sheep ball anyway.
- 12:33Speaker 7: Four and one, it was the coach that took him
- 12:36Speaker 7: to the a f C Championship.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Doug Peterson wasn't it?
- 12:40Speaker 1: Was it?
- 12:40Speaker 5: Doug? No? No, no, it was Borders.
- 12:43Speaker 3: It was Moron, yes, because he was right after Coland
- 12:47Speaker 3: is that right?
- 12:48Speaker 5: God?
- 12:49Speaker 4: That was a random season, really random defense was least
- 12:52Speaker 4: it was if Lenny was running back right for Nette.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Yeah, and to go back and watch the AFC Championship game.
- 12:59Speaker 4: They should have wanted they had chiefs.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I'm assuming that they had the two colored helmets. Oh yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 5: I was terrible. Ugly.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Does anybody mess up a uniform more than the jag
- 13:14Speaker 4: dash wires?
- 13:17Speaker 5: Alight? They wore their retros the other night, and those
- 13:19Speaker 5: are awesome.
- 13:20Speaker 8: I like the black ones.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it was uh, it was Marone. He was there
- 13:24Speaker 3: seventeen to twenty and that was fours what second year,
- 13:27Speaker 3: first year, So that would have been.
- 13:29Speaker 5: That would have been right there.
- 13:32Speaker 7: That Maroon was the head coach in Buffalo when I
- 13:34Speaker 7: was there for three weeks?
- 13:36Speaker 5: Wasn't that great? Of course?
- 13:38Speaker 7: That was you know, he was super casual when he
- 13:41Speaker 7: fired me.
- 13:41Speaker 8: Actually, Maron, I didn't even care.
- 13:44Speaker 7: Super cat Actually he didn't have one ounce of sympathy
- 13:47Speaker 7: in his eyeball.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Hey, Mat We're gonna let you go, all right, Bud?
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean good luck man pulled the brad Pit
- 13:53Speaker 3: on Moneyball Man.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Every time I got released, it was always like this,
- 13:58Speaker 4: like big to do and like emotional speech, and I
- 14:01Speaker 4: wanted it to be more like, hey, Budd, gotta.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Let you go. Here's your ticket.
- 14:05Speaker 4: That's that's just that's awful, Like why why do y'all
- 14:10Speaker 4: mess up? And now like your uniform, your main uniform
- 14:13Speaker 4: still is awful. Like where the ones that you wore
- 14:16Speaker 4: the other night every game, the Mark Brunel days, those
- 14:20Speaker 4: are awesome.
- 14:22Speaker 5: That's terrible. That is a fireable offense to whoever did.
- 14:25Speaker 3: That, even better than pants are white.
- 14:29Speaker 5: That is a bad uniform. Anyhos AnyWho? Good dad, h boy?
- 14:40Speaker 5: More OTV when we come back.

- 16:35Speaker 5: headpluts are great. It's changes things up uh, Doc, you
- 16:41Speaker 5: are from which state? Originally? Florida?
- 16:44Speaker 4: Okay, there's a team that plays in Florida in Jacksonville.
- 16:47Speaker 4: What team name is that?
- 16:49Speaker 5: The Jaguars.
- 16:52Speaker 7: He sayed, like us got a little new and I
- 16:54Speaker 7: got a little nuance in there, a.
- 16:56Speaker 8: Little different.
- 16:59Speaker 5: Jaguars.
- 17:01Speaker 8: I don't know if he's saying jaguar.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Yeah. I think he's saying a little bit yeah, uar,
- 17:07Speaker 5: he's a little bit more educated.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Alright, fair enough, fair enough, all right, I heard it.
- 17:19Speaker 5: I heard it took somebody from Florida. Though, because I.
- 17:22Speaker 6: Don't think I could say it, I might concede this argument,
- 17:24Speaker 6: but I'm still gonna say jaguar.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Yeah. Oh, I'm a thousand percent still saying it in
- 17:28Speaker 5: the same way. Doc. How you doing. Glad to have
- 17:30Speaker 5: you back on. I'm doing well, thank you.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Taking a look at some of the injuries across the
- 17:35Speaker 4: sports world. Uh So, last week we talked about two
- 17:40Speaker 4: guys for the Saints, Foster and Taysom coming back from
- 17:42Speaker 4: knee injury. It was funny like after having the conversations
- 17:46Speaker 4: with you, like I was kind of watching and seeing
- 17:48Speaker 4: like how they how they played, and how they plan
- 17:51Speaker 4: and how they cut.
- 17:51Speaker 5: And they timid here, they timid there.
- 17:53Speaker 4: It was funny because I like, I felt like I
- 17:55Speaker 4: saw a difference, like Foster was like, oh the hell
- 17:57Speaker 4: with it, let's just go and Taysom not that he
- 17:59Speaker 4: was like bathing or not, but you could tell like
- 18:01Speaker 4: it felt like in the back of his mind there
- 18:03Speaker 4: was like, Okay, let's to make sure that I'm one
- 18:05Speaker 4: hundred percent ready to go.
- 18:07Speaker 9: There's definitely a benefit to be a little crazy, and
- 18:09Speaker 9: I think it's faster. I think we all know Foster
- 18:11Speaker 9: and I say it in the kindest way possible. Oh yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 9: but yeah, there's something there. Sometimes you got a little
- 18:16Speaker 9: bit of that crazy gene and that that helps you
- 18:17Speaker 9: just to go out there, because yeah, it's scary the
- 18:19Speaker 9: first few times.
- 18:20Speaker 7: For sure, when you have a when you're coming back
- 18:22Speaker 7: from an ACL injury, Like what is the what's the
- 18:26Speaker 7: biggest like mental hurdle player? Is it like lateral cuts?
- 18:30Speaker 7: Is it full speed straight ahead? Like what's the biggest
- 18:33Speaker 7: challenge that you see mentally that as a doctor you're like, hey,
- 18:36Speaker 7: you're okay, Like, but I assume like mentally it's like, man,
- 18:40Speaker 7: I just I can't get past this one step.
- 18:42Speaker 9: I think you see it more just kind of the
- 18:44Speaker 9: side to side, the cuts, the because you start running
- 18:46Speaker 9: straight line pretty early in that rehab process, even sprints
- 18:49Speaker 9: straight line, so they've been doing a lot of that.
- 18:51Speaker 9: It's that first time they got to make that sudden stop,
- 18:53Speaker 9: that sudden cut, you know. And with with contact, even
- 18:56Speaker 9: though it's sometimes a non contact injury. I think just
- 18:58Speaker 9: the idea of getting hit, the idea of avoiding the hit,
- 19:01Speaker 9: there's just something there that kind of sticks, I think
- 19:03Speaker 9: with a lot of these guys.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Is there is there like.
- 19:07Speaker 7: Statistics medically, like after surgery, like an ACL on uh,
- 19:12Speaker 7: let's just say, right leg has been fully blown, blow
- 19:16Speaker 7: your ACL then fully repaired. Is there statistics out there
- 19:20Speaker 7: that say this ACL is one hund like a new one,
- 19:27Speaker 7: Like the chance of injury to that same ACL is
- 19:30Speaker 7: the exact same as if you've never or is a
- 19:32Speaker 7: chance of injury to it again A lot.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Higher question, but it's a good question.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 9: You So there is a lot of statistics, and I
- 19:40Speaker 9: won't pretend to pull them up off hand, but what
- 19:42Speaker 9: we do know is that there's a lot of variables
- 19:44Speaker 9: to go into it. There's some people that just have
- 19:46Speaker 9: genetic predisposition, you know, the slope of the tibia, the dynamics,
- 19:51Speaker 9: and then and then to be fair, some of them
- 19:52Speaker 9: with the type of.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Surgery there are there are different surgeries.
- 19:55Speaker 9: That we do, different graphs that we use, and then honestly,
- 19:59Speaker 9: the quality of the surgeon, and so there's a lot
- 20:00Speaker 9: of variables that go into it. A well done ACL
- 20:04Speaker 9: and somebody without a significant genetic predisposition should be just
- 20:08Speaker 9: about as healthy as the one they've ever had. So,
- 20:11Speaker 9: I mean, but there's there's all these different things to
- 20:13Speaker 9: go into it, so it's hard to kind of break
- 20:15Speaker 9: it down simply. But typically, yeah, we expect that once
- 20:17Speaker 9: it's healthy, it's going to be as good as is
- 20:18Speaker 9: the one they had before.
- 20:20Speaker 7: It's interesting because I've always heard people like throw out
- 20:24Speaker 7: like they are genetically they're more inclined to get this
- 20:27Speaker 7: or that injury. I never I just for whatever reason,
- 20:29Speaker 7: not thinking too deeply, and I always thought, oh, well,
- 20:31Speaker 7: they just have like weaker ligaments or they're you know,
- 20:34Speaker 7: blood type whatever it is, they're just butt. No, it
- 20:36Speaker 7: makes a lot of the angle of their bones are
- 20:40Speaker 7: a little bit closer or whatever to go and to
- 20:42Speaker 7: be able to hit that or nick that ligament.
- 20:45Speaker 9: Yeah, it's it's it's pretty interesting. There's a and again
- 20:48Speaker 9: i'll probably butcher if I try and real exactly. But
- 20:50Speaker 9: I went to a conference and there was a guy
- 20:52Speaker 9: who's a position who does ACL reconstructions over in Dubai
- 20:54Speaker 9: for the soccer team, and there's something with certain people
- 20:57Speaker 9: of the Middle Eastern descent that the instance of ACL
- 21:00Speaker 9: there is drastically higher and it has to do all
- 21:03Speaker 9: It was really very interesting because he's like the number
- 21:04Speaker 9: of acls I do.
- 21:05Speaker 5: He's a guy.
- 21:05Speaker 9: I'm he's a world expert now because he lives there
- 21:08Speaker 9: and does so many of them. This guy's like and
- 21:10Speaker 9: I feel bad I can't remember his name either, but
- 21:12Speaker 9: but it was really kind of interesting to hear how
- 21:14Speaker 9: many more they see. I mean that the instance was
- 21:16Speaker 9: through the roof compared to what we see here.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't think about that.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I didn't think about like bone structure and yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 4: I just always thought like this. My dad always told
- 21:24Speaker 4: me to drink milk for every meal and you'll be good.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Yeah I'm still good. Advice. I don't know, I don't know.
- 21:30Speaker 5: It seems to work out all right.
- 21:32Speaker 4: So obviously, Doc, we're not talking about specific injuries with
- 21:35Speaker 4: the team here, but when you have a bye week
- 21:38Speaker 4: and you're trying to make sure that okay, let's have
- 21:41Speaker 4: some of these conversations like this guy like I think
- 21:43Speaker 4: he can go. I think he needs to get out
- 21:45Speaker 4: there and get some reps or hey, yeah, you know,
- 21:47Speaker 4: maybe this guy, maybe we hold him back just a
- 21:49Speaker 4: little bit and next week when you're preparing for game week,
- 21:52Speaker 4: then he can get right back into the fray Like
- 21:54Speaker 4: what are some of those conversations like?
- 21:56Speaker 5: And how many you know?
- 21:57Speaker 4: I guess who do you get involved in those conversations
- 22:00Speaker 4: position coaches?
- 22:01Speaker 1: Like?
- 22:01Speaker 5: Where do you go with that? Yeah?
- 22:02Speaker 9: So it usually starts in the training room with you know,
- 22:04Speaker 9: so we'll use to sit down every we do a
- 22:06Speaker 9: clinic on Sundays after the games, and we'll sit there
- 22:09Speaker 9: each Sunday the team positions with our head athletic trainer
- 22:12Speaker 9: and then yes, sometimes you know, we'll get the input
- 22:14Speaker 9: from the coaching staff.
- 22:15Speaker 5: A lot of times the trainers are so.
- 22:17Speaker 9: Up to date on that they kind of already know
- 22:18Speaker 9: a lot of the input from the coaches, but sometimes
- 22:20Speaker 9: we'll kind of reach out and then it is going
- 22:22Speaker 9: to be a case by case, guy by guy. It's
- 22:24Speaker 9: when it really helps to know the individual's personalities. You know,
- 22:26Speaker 9: you know, some guys are gonna be the guys that
- 22:28Speaker 9: need those reps. You know that for them to feel
- 22:30Speaker 9: good on Saturday, they have to be in there. And
- 22:33Speaker 9: then for other guys, you know, you kind of know
- 22:34Speaker 9: that that their mindset, maybe especially some of the guys
- 22:36Speaker 9: that have been around the program long er.
- 22:37Speaker 5: That's like in the NFL, you'll see a lot of
- 22:39Speaker 5: the vets.
- 22:39Speaker 9: They get there every Tuesday, they're off or whatever, and
- 22:41Speaker 9: we just know that and so it's not a big
- 22:43Speaker 9: deal if that this guy sits on a certain day.
- 22:44Speaker 5: And it's kind of the same way.
- 22:45Speaker 9: We look at our team and we really got to
- 22:47Speaker 9: lean on the training staff and probably more than anybody else,
- 22:50Speaker 9: cause they really know these guys their personalities in and out.
- 22:53Speaker 9: So that's where that communication really comes in. And to
- 22:55Speaker 9: your point, it is it is something that's going to
- 22:57Speaker 9: be different for one guy another. Some guy were like,
- 22:58Speaker 9: we got to get him out there. We got to
- 22:59Speaker 9: see he can do you know, can you cut? Can
- 23:02Speaker 9: you plant? That way they can plan ahead and know
- 23:04Speaker 9: what we're getting into.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Do you still like, do you do game time decision
- 23:07Speaker 4: type workouts at the collegiate level, because I really I
- 23:10Speaker 4: don't remember. I know in the NFL it was always, hey,
- 23:13Speaker 4: you're gonna get here a little bit early, we're gonna.
- 23:15Speaker 5: Have some people out here watching, or then we're gonna
- 23:17Speaker 5: work you out.
- 23:17Speaker 4: We're gonna put you through what we think would be
- 23:19Speaker 4: a game simulation, like do you do stuff like that
- 23:21Speaker 4: in college?
- 23:22Speaker 5: We definitely will.
- 23:23Speaker 9: You know, we'll have some of the guys that if
- 23:24Speaker 9: we've been nursing. You know, we've talked a lot on
- 23:26Speaker 9: here about a high ankles. So if we're talking about
- 23:27Speaker 9: a high ankle injury and this guy's rehab and he's
- 23:30Speaker 9: looking pretty good, he's been running. But then on the
- 23:32Speaker 9: same time, you know, just like we talked about all
- 23:34Speaker 9: the ACL injuries, can you cut?
- 23:35Speaker 5: Can you plant?
- 23:35Speaker 9: You know, if you're alignment, can you come out of
- 23:37Speaker 9: your stance if you're a running back and you make
- 23:38Speaker 9: that cut. So a lot of times, yeah, we'll get
- 23:41Speaker 9: to the field early or even sometimes prior to that,
- 23:43Speaker 9: earlier in the day if we have the opportunity and
- 23:46Speaker 9: the training staff and maybe the coaches, they go out
- 23:47Speaker 9: there with them field and say hey, look we want
- 23:49Speaker 9: you to do these reps. And if they can't do it,
- 23:51Speaker 9: you know, then we're gonna hold them.
- 23:54Speaker 7: So Doc, we're talking a lot about like you know,
- 23:56Speaker 7: we know, the injuries are part of the game of football.
- 23:58Speaker 7: It's a collision sport, a lot of people cutting, a
- 24:00Speaker 7: lot of people doing things. But there's a scary side
- 24:03Speaker 7: of that as well, and we saw that pretty recently
- 24:05Speaker 7: in the Oklahoma game. Wide receiver catches the pass and
- 24:09Speaker 7: runs into unfortunately runs into the brick wall with his head.
- 24:14Speaker 7: Neck injury, head injury. Scary situation, and unfortunately that happens
- 24:18Speaker 7: every year. We see scary situations occur. As a doctor,
- 24:24Speaker 7: when something like that happens, what is first thoughts that
- 24:27Speaker 7: go on your mind? What's your first response to your action,
- 24:30Speaker 7: and you know, anything like kind of specifically about the
- 24:32Speaker 7: type of injury that that young man had.
- 24:35Speaker 9: So those are scary, I think probably if we talk
- 24:38Speaker 9: about the thing that probably for most of us that
- 24:40Speaker 9: were fearful of every time you go into a game.
- 24:43Speaker 9: You know, of course you have your cardiac events similar
- 24:45Speaker 9: to what we have in our hamlet a few years ago,
- 24:46Speaker 9: but that's fortunately even more rare. The neck injury is
- 24:49Speaker 9: something you're going to see. You know, you do this
- 24:50Speaker 9: long enough, you're going to have some neck injuries.
- 24:52Speaker 5: And so if you see.
- 24:54Speaker 9: Somebody down a collision injury, you know that's that's a
- 24:57Speaker 9: real scary event. In that play, if you watched it,
- 24:59Speaker 9: he comes straight in the wall and his head was
- 25:01Speaker 9: turned a little bit the side, but it was almost
- 25:03Speaker 9: that axial load hitting the top of the head.
- 25:04Speaker 5: And that's what we worry about, the motion.
- 25:05Speaker 9: That's why we tell guys, you know, keeping your head up,
- 25:07Speaker 9: because when you get hit right on the top of
- 25:09Speaker 9: the head, driving the head down into the neck, that's
- 25:11Speaker 9: the big mechanism we worry about. And so when you
- 25:14Speaker 9: get out there, you know that that's that's our first concern.
- 25:16Speaker 9: So we're trying not to move the individual. You don't
- 25:18Speaker 9: want to move the head or neck. You're trying to
- 25:20Speaker 9: assess is it a possible neck injury? Are they moving
- 25:22Speaker 9: their arms? Can they move their their arms, their legs?
- 25:25Speaker 9: Do they have pain in the neck. And if we're
- 25:26Speaker 9: worried about that, that's gonna be somebody that we're going
- 25:28Speaker 9: to try and keep as still as possible because the
- 25:31Speaker 9: concern is that you might have a spine fracture. Then
- 25:33Speaker 9: you move that individual, even a slight movement can shift
- 25:36Speaker 9: that vertebrae just enough to where maybe it wasn't a
- 25:38Speaker 9: spinal cord injury. So this is an individual who maybe
- 25:41Speaker 9: won't be paralyzed and won't have some of those you know,
- 25:43Speaker 9: devastating lifelong effects and if you're not careful, it can
- 25:47Speaker 9: turn into that even with very very subtle movements. So
- 25:50Speaker 9: so it's a really scary injury. That's something that we
- 25:53Speaker 9: have to really protect for. Like I said, we've had
- 25:55Speaker 9: a few of them, you know that every single one
- 25:59Speaker 9: scares you. Yeah, and we've been lucky with the ones
- 26:01Speaker 9: we've had at least here, but it's still a really
- 26:03Speaker 9: really scary event.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Uh, Doc, I do want to go back real quick
- 26:07Speaker 4: to the New Orleans Saints. So Chase Young edge rusher.
- 26:09Speaker 4: He's been out this entire season so far with a calf.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Now he hasn't been put on IR either though, So like,
- 26:16Speaker 4: if it's not bad enough to put on IR, but
- 26:18Speaker 4: here we are, you know, six seven weeks into the
- 26:20Speaker 4: season and you still haven't been on the field. Jay, Like,
- 26:24Speaker 4: it's hard to speculate, but like, what in a calf,
- 26:26Speaker 4: maybe it could keep you out for that long, but
- 26:28Speaker 4: not severe enough to go on the IR.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Yeah, So these are.
- 26:31Speaker 9: I mean, calf injuries are like a lot of injuries
- 26:33Speaker 9: where you're it's kind of like the hamstring, where the
- 26:35Speaker 9: severity can be all over the map.
- 26:37Speaker 5: They're so easy to reprovoke to.
- 26:39Speaker 9: Sometimes you think you're good and then that first time
- 26:41Speaker 9: you plant off, the first time you kind of got
- 26:42Speaker 9: to take a big step, you reaggravate it. You know,
- 26:45Speaker 9: you would think probably either a calf strain, maybe a
- 26:47Speaker 9: really bad Achilles tendonitis.
- 26:48Speaker 5: We saw that with Christomcaffrey last year.
- 26:50Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, basically missed almost half the year the
- 26:53Speaker 9: the Achilles injuries, which is.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Not unheard of. It's not common.
- 26:56Speaker 9: Usually a calf strain using Achilles tenanidis you're looking at
- 26:59Speaker 9: a few weeks more often than not. H My suspicion
- 27:03Speaker 9: usually is that it's an injury.
- 27:04Speaker 5: That got reaggravated.
- 27:04Speaker 9: I don't know that in this scenario, but if it's
- 27:07Speaker 9: something that was, say a true calf strain, usually you
- 27:10Speaker 9: can get that better in a few weeks. But maybe
- 27:12Speaker 9: you kind of reaggravated reinjured it, and then that can
- 27:15Speaker 9: be kind of a bear and you can kind of
- 27:16Speaker 9: fight the battle.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Doc.
- 27:18Speaker 7: I know over there, Brock, y'all have like the after
- 27:20Speaker 7: hours stuff happening for the orthopedics. Did y'all get an
- 27:23Speaker 7: influx of patients last night after the uh old people
- 27:27Speaker 7: geriatric flag football game at all?
- 27:28Speaker 9: Wait, I'm gonna have to check the report when I
- 27:31Speaker 9: when I get out, I'm curious to see.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Ye.
- 27:32Speaker 9: I would not be surprised if there was a very
- 27:35Speaker 9: heavy inflow. Usually we're seeing you a bunch of twelve
- 27:37Speaker 9: to sixteen year olds down that time.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Look look like the most important thing is you didn't
- 27:40Speaker 4: see two forty year olds in there.
- 27:42Speaker 5: That's right? Okay? Did we need to go? Maybe? No comment,
- 27:45Speaker 5: but are we there?
- 27:46Speaker 2: No?
- 27:46Speaker 5: Okay? Too gritty to be pretty okay?
- 27:48Speaker 7: Right, thought about using the elevator for the first time
- 27:51Speaker 7: this morning, but I didn't.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Had a boy, I would have made fun of you heavily. Doc.
- 27:57Speaker 4: I know something that we were talking about before over
- 28:00Speaker 4: the tenth is mental health Day. Obviously something very important
- 28:04Speaker 4: when you're dealing with athletics and that can that's a
- 28:06Speaker 4: wide range that could fall into that category.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Mental Health Day is something I know that you know,
- 28:12Speaker 5: something you want to talk about near and dear to you.
- 28:14Speaker 9: Yeah, it's it's you know, it's very easy most times
- 28:17Speaker 9: about sports injuries. Obviously we're talking about the achilles, the
- 28:19Speaker 9: acl the calf or whatever. And I think it's important
- 28:22Speaker 9: to remember that there's a whole other side of health
- 28:24Speaker 9: that is mental health. It's something that that we had
- 28:26Speaker 9: LSU take very seriously. I'm we have a great staff.
- 28:29Speaker 9: You know, we have sports psychologists on staff there. We
- 28:31Speaker 9: have psychiatrists that come out from our lay the Lake
- 28:34Speaker 9: that round out there on a regular basis. Our athletic
- 28:36Speaker 9: training staff does a great job with it. You know,
- 28:38Speaker 9: it's a it's a big passion that that that so
- 28:41Speaker 9: many of us there have, and you know, it's easy
- 28:43Speaker 9: to forget that that these athletes are are individuals as well.
- 28:46Speaker 9: It's easy to forget that you know, they're going to
- 28:48Speaker 9: suffer with depression and anxiety, all of these things, and
- 28:51Speaker 9: let alone with the riggers that come with being an athlete.
- 28:54Speaker 9: You know, I think we all had the unfortunate reminder
- 28:57Speaker 9: recently with Kyraen Lacy and now everything that's come out
- 28:59Speaker 9: over this past last week with him with such a
- 29:01Speaker 9: horrible situation. How how you know you can you can
- 29:04Speaker 9: think these people are on top of the world. They
- 29:06Speaker 9: can take one event, their lives can tumble out of control.
- 29:09Speaker 9: And I think it's important, you know, I encourage anybody
- 29:11Speaker 9: if they're out there and they're struggling with any kind
- 29:13Speaker 9: of mental health issues, especially with this week kind of
- 29:15Speaker 9: honoring that, you know, please seek out the help you
- 29:17Speaker 9: need to be whether you're.
- 29:18Speaker 5: A young kid an athlete. I can't say enough you're
- 29:22Speaker 5: not alone.
- 29:22Speaker 9: You'd be amazed how many of these guys you look
- 29:24Speaker 9: up to that are in the big league based fred
- 29:26Speaker 9: LSU that I've been through it. So so if you're
- 29:29Speaker 9: out there and you think you're alone, I promise you're not.
- 29:31Speaker 9: There are people that can help you for sure.
- 29:34Speaker 4: All right, there he is our guy, doctor Steven Etheridge.

- 32:43Speaker 7: I want to remind people out there that you got
- 32:46Speaker 7: a text message saying that one of the stations was
- 32:49Speaker 7: a little fuzzy out there driving around. We know one
- 32:51Speaker 7: four five nine kind of better in different parts of
- 32:54Speaker 7: the city. Hey, you can cut all that out. You're
- 32:57Speaker 7: in the area down eight point one HD two check
- 33:00Speaker 7: it out, crystals clear that.
- 33:02Speaker 5: H Those cars have got those automatic headlights. Got that
- 33:05Speaker 5: ball radio.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Actually switches automatically. He doesn't have to he doesn't have.
- 33:10Speaker 7: To do it to clear it.
- 33:14Speaker 4: Is that?
- 33:15Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 33:16Speaker 8: It is clear?
- 33:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:18Speaker 8: I know people have been, uh like asking you.
- 33:21Speaker 6: I've gotten emails about the fuzziness.
- 33:24Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, HG two Lacy.
- 33:28Speaker 6: But also I know that it's an issue that is
- 33:32Speaker 6: currently being addressed.
- 33:33Speaker 5: Okay, perfect elephant in.
- 33:35Speaker 4: The room with able to hear you our you guy,
- 33:38Speaker 4: Paul slave Paul I bet Paul reached for Jaguarre Ball
- 33:44Speaker 4: on radio.
- 33:44Speaker 8: It is important, absolute, says Jaguars, no.
- 33:47Speaker 7: Doubt yeah, but it is important when you're on radio
- 33:51Speaker 7: for people to be on the radio.
- 33:53Speaker 8: Absolutely, I agree.
- 33:54Speaker 5: So A C two, I'm waiting for one A C two.
- 33:58Speaker 7: It doesn't work. Go to one O four nine, one
- 34:00Speaker 7: of four five. You can switch back and forth.
- 34:01Speaker 8: So I don't think one O four to nine sounds
- 34:04Speaker 8: all that great either.
- 34:05Speaker 7: Something like in my neighborhood, it's better than one of
- 34:07Speaker 7: four five.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Because you're you're probably a little bit east of here,
- 34:11Speaker 3: aren't you, because see I'm out, I'm not Walker, I'm
- 34:13Speaker 3: way east of here. One four nine is great. One
- 34:16Speaker 3: of four five is not great where I'm at.
- 34:18Speaker 7: Well, you got options, We're just saying that, or a watch.
- 34:21Speaker 5: On YouTube check it.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Out, also live stream on the little bit upset on
- 34:26Speaker 6: the app or the website.
- 34:28Speaker 8: Wait what about doc?
- 34:29Speaker 2: Uh?
- 34:29Speaker 5: Doc pointed out. If you go to YouTube, you can
- 34:31Speaker 5: see us.
- 34:31Speaker 7: Dock pointed out when he came in any more in
- 34:33Speaker 7: Florida colors today, and I did not mean to do that.
- 34:35Speaker 5: That's all me.
- 34:37Speaker 4: You picked them to win. You're wearing their colors today.
- 34:41Speaker 5: You know.
- 34:42Speaker 7: That's how strongly that I felt about that.
- 34:43Speaker 5: When I picked Florida to win, I was gonna say
- 34:45Speaker 5: something else. But I think it would have got you mad.
- 34:47Speaker 5: It's another Florida point. Mm hmm.
- 34:52Speaker 7: Guess something else one you know else got mad? Head
- 34:57Speaker 7: coach for the Arizona Cardinals.
- 35:00Speaker 5: He did. We talked about it. You know who else
- 35:02Speaker 5: got mad? The NFL? Oh did they take some dollars
- 35:07Speaker 5: out of his pocket?
- 35:07Speaker 7: The NFL fined well Jonathan Gannon' yes, Jonathan Gannon find
- 35:11Speaker 7: him one hundred thousand dollars yesterday for one hundred physically
- 35:15Speaker 7: hitting his player. Now, the clips that were coming out before,
- 35:19Speaker 7: like midday yesterday, it was like, yeah, you could tell
- 35:23Speaker 7: he hit him, but you couldn't really see it. But
- 35:26Speaker 7: the crystal clear view from another angle came out. Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 7: he bobbed up his fist to hit him. Oh do
- 35:32Speaker 7: we have can we get the view?
- 35:34Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 35:34Speaker 7: I should have probably ask Taylor to pull it up
- 35:37Speaker 7: before I brought it up. But yeah, I've been good radio.
- 35:40Speaker 5: But we were jamming to Mario.
- 35:44Speaker 7: But yeah, he Yeah, he definitely hit him. So you know,
- 35:47Speaker 7: don't hit your players.
- 35:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't do that. I mean hit their pads.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Get him fired up. You can do that.
- 35:53Speaker 7: I'm all about old school. You can grab my face
- 35:55Speaker 7: mask if you want.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sitting here and I'm looking at all this
- 35:59Speaker 4: stuff on the desk looking I forgot somebody got mad
- 36:02Speaker 4: at me for talking about the Saints while having a
- 36:05Speaker 4: Charger's helmet on the desk.
- 36:08Speaker 8: That's stupid what he said.
- 36:10Speaker 5: Once you go cover the Chargers, don't talk about the Saints.
- 36:12Speaker 5: I mean, we do kind of talk about jokes on you.
- 36:14Speaker 3: We do a much bigger Saints helmet next to it.
- 36:17Speaker 5: I know, I thought it was funny.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I was like, oh, so you want somebody only pumped
- 36:20Speaker 4: sunshine for the Saints.
- 36:23Speaker 8: At Sunshine Pumpers. Yeah, o TV, ain't.
- 36:26Speaker 7: That been pumping some Saints sunshine?
- 36:30Speaker 5: Though.
- 36:30Speaker 6: I think we've been real pretty good, Yeah, pretty good.
- 36:33Speaker 6: I think we're being realistic, even Saints correspondent.
- 36:37Speaker 5: We're way more positive than him. Yeah. Now I think
- 36:40Speaker 5: a couple congratulations we gotta win.
- 36:44Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, isn't that great?
- 36:46Speaker 5: Offense?
- 36:47Speaker 8: Is like, I don't know about I don't know about the.
- 36:51Speaker 5: I don't know. I guess I feel all right, I
- 36:54Speaker 5: feel okay about it.
- 36:58Speaker 3: We were we were talking yesterday. Everybody's like, oh, the
- 37:00Speaker 3: season reasons out, it might be an upgrade. Tors Selly
- 37:03Speaker 3: Simpkins was the lowest graded player.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he had a twelve passing grade not grade
- 37:07Speaker 4: not grade twelve twelve yeah, not out of twenty yep.
- 37:16Speaker 5: But you know what the difference is. He was in
- 37:17Speaker 5: the first round pick. He's an undrafted free agent, so.
- 37:21Speaker 7: Oh so yeah, he's find them.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Well, here's your bright spot. Spencer's playing grade. He had
- 37:25Speaker 3: a bad line. What happens when he gets a good one.
- 37:28Speaker 4: He did actually run block much better than he passed block.
- 37:32Speaker 4: But again he talked about it. That's kind of why
- 37:34Speaker 4: you need Spencer back there right now. Like he's efficient,
- 37:38Speaker 4: making good decisions, good quarterback, and like when he does
- 37:42Speaker 4: have pressure, he's doing a nice job. Is still finding
- 37:44Speaker 4: a window to throw the football. He's not taking a
- 37:47Speaker 4: lot of negative plays. You might call him a check
- 37:49Speaker 4: down Charlie, and there was some of that for sure
- 37:51Speaker 4: in the beginning of the season. But also he's doing
- 37:54Speaker 4: a nice job of evading the rush and then hitting
- 37:57Speaker 4: his checkdown. Which I've never been in a quarterback room,
- 38:00Speaker 4: but I would assume when you have pressure and you
- 38:03Speaker 4: hit the check down, you get a positive check mark
- 38:04Speaker 4: on that play.
- 38:05Speaker 5: Yep, right check.
- 38:07Speaker 7: So now I think Nick did make the point yesterday,
- 38:12Speaker 7: like yeah, we could. I wish you'd push it a
- 38:14Speaker 7: little bit more, try to push the vote a little
- 38:16Speaker 7: bit more. But like when when you have a roster deficiency,
- 38:19Speaker 7: it's like turnovers are going to kill you. Turnovers like
- 38:23Speaker 7: it takes all any chance you got at pulling one
- 38:25Speaker 7: out against the you know, probably a superior team athletically,
- 38:30Speaker 7: like from from top to bottom on a roster, turnovers
- 38:32Speaker 7: will will absolutely kill you. I mean we saw that
- 38:34Speaker 7: this past week. But we won the turnover battle a
- 38:37Speaker 7: whole lot. Now, the turnover differentiate, uh differentiation there.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Was that's a big word.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Wherever Uh it's the score should have been a lot,
- 38:50Speaker 7: a lot more too, a lot less because of the turnover.
- 38:53Speaker 4: But you know, there's there's But we're getting better. I
- 38:56Speaker 4: think they're going to have their best offensive game this week. Yeah,
- 39:05Speaker 4: I think sas are going to have their best offensive
- 39:07Speaker 4: game this week. Now, does it lead to a win?
- 39:09Speaker 5: I don't know. That offense on the other side is
- 39:10Speaker 5: pretty damn good. I think yeah.
- 39:12Speaker 7: I think progressively, you're going to see this offense improve
- 39:14Speaker 7: week after week. Now you might have a week where
- 39:17Speaker 7: production a couple couple of things missed. Production might be
- 39:20Speaker 7: a little bit down but I think at if you
- 39:22Speaker 7: look at as a whole, if you look at it
- 39:24Speaker 7: like month by month, this offense is going to get
- 39:26Speaker 7: a lot better. You're going to see a lot more
- 39:27Speaker 7: plays being made. Sure, there's going to be bad plays
- 39:30Speaker 7: because offensive line deficiencies. Yeah, but that running games coming.
- 39:36Speaker 7: Kendre Miller is running great. I just think the receivers,
- 39:40Speaker 7: tight ends can get more camp like. People are going
- 39:42Speaker 7: to get more confident.
- 39:44Speaker 5: More confident one of having your tight end back.
- 39:48Speaker 7: Kellen Moore is going to get better at at having
- 39:50Speaker 7: the duties of head coach and being a play caller.
- 39:52Speaker 7: We already see I see him getting better and better
- 39:55Speaker 7: and better. So it's it's a group like we're it's
- 39:57Speaker 7: not unrealistic expectations. We don't think they're going to play,
- 40:00Speaker 7: We don't think they're win their division. Just want to
- 40:02Speaker 7: see improvement.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Yeah, what you saw last weekend, you hope to see
- 40:06Speaker 4: again this week. All right, before we take this break,
