- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. On Thursday, July twenty third, Jess Staley appeared
- 0:08Speaker 1: before Congress to talk about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And look, I know this might shock you, but Jess Staley,
- 0:16Speaker 1: according to people that were there, wasn't exactly honest with
- 0:19Speaker 1: the committee about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And at
- 0:24Speaker 1: some point you have to ask yourself, when is the
- 0:27Speaker 1: committee going to hold people accountable? When is the Committee
- 0:31Speaker 1: going to start referring people to the DOJ. Now, of
- 0:34Speaker 1: course that comes with its own issues considering who's in
- 0:37Speaker 1: charge at the DOJ. But I think it's very important
- 0:42Speaker 1: that Congress does its job, and their job is oversight.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So obviously the DOJ didn't do their job correctly when
- 0:51Speaker 1: they were investigating all of this, and they didn't follow
- 0:55Speaker 1: all of the evidence wherever it led them. So now
- 0:57Speaker 1: Congress has a chance of rectify that, maybe not to
- 1:02Speaker 1: a point where we see justice, but at least where
- 1:05Speaker 1: we get a real investigation, because that hasn't happened yet.
- 1:10Speaker 1: There hasn't been a real investigation when it comes to
- 1:12Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and the shitty was up to ever. Okay,
- 1:17Speaker 1: now you can say that Glenn Maxwell investigation that was real,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but it was very narrow and it was targeted. They
- 1:24Speaker 1: weren't going after the associates or you know, the infrastructure.
- 1:29Speaker 1: They were going after Glenn Maxwell. And the reason that
- 1:31Speaker 1: the scope was so narrow is that they wanted to
- 1:34Speaker 1: control that blast radius. But I think that anybody who
- 1:36Speaker 1: has followed this story even a little bit knows that
- 1:39Speaker 1: Jess Staley and Jeffrey Epstein were a lot closer than
- 1:42Speaker 1: Jess Staley ever let on. And we also know that
- 1:45Speaker 1: Jess Staley has admitted that he had quote unquote consensual
- 1:49Speaker 1: sex with one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants. So that opens
- 1:54Speaker 1: up a whole ass other can of worms, doesn't it.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Today we have an article from the New York Post
- 2:00Speaker 1: and the headline ex Barclay's chief Jess Staley tells House
- 2:03Speaker 1: he's unsure he met woman in a snow white costume
- 2:06Speaker 1: through Jeffrey Epstein. I mean, it's just like with Doug band. Oh,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I don't recall, I don't know. Don't you find that ridiculous?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I find it to be a waste of time. You
- 2:19Speaker 1: have this guy getting up there and all he says is,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't recall, wasn't me. We weren't
- 2:24Speaker 1: really close the whole thing. And I think the most
- 2:27Speaker 1: frustrating part about that is there's no way to prove
- 2:30Speaker 1: that he's telling a lie, right if he says he
- 2:33Speaker 1: doesn't recall, Well, unfortunately we have to take his dumbass
- 2:37Speaker 1: at his word. But I think Nancy Mace was spot
- 2:40Speaker 1: on when she asked him if he had memory problems
- 2:43Speaker 1: or if he was under the care of a doctor
- 2:45Speaker 1: due to memory problems. I thought that was a pretty
- 2:48Speaker 1: good comment because guess what, it's absurd a man like
- 2:52Speaker 1: Jess Staley doesn't remember anything. How did he get to
- 2:57Speaker 1: the position he's in as far as professionally or was in.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm sure he has some kind of you know, memory retention.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And the sam goes for Doug Band. This article was
- 3:08Speaker 1: authored by Josh Christiansen. Former Barclay CEO. Jess Staley told
- 3:15Speaker 1: a House panel Thursday that he was unsure he met
- 3:17Speaker 1: a woman who wore a snow white costume through convicted
- 3:20Speaker 1: sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to a person familiar with
- 3:24Speaker 1: his closed door interview, which is obviously a lie. We
- 3:28Speaker 1: know for a fact he spent time with snow White.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But he's just gonna get up there and lie to
- 3:33Speaker 1: the committee because he knows that there's no teeth. What
- 3:36Speaker 1: are they gonna do? Issue am supoena and then a
- 3:40Speaker 1: strongly worded letter. How about we throw somebody in prison?
- 3:44Speaker 1: That would be nice. And again, when we're talking about
- 3:47Speaker 1: Epstein and trafficking, what do you think he was doing
- 3:50Speaker 1: with Jess Staley? He was just being a middleman. Oh yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I got this girl for you, and you know, I'll
- 3:55Speaker 1: introduce you and then maybe no, they all knew what
- 3:58Speaker 1: was coming. And the girl, here's the important part or woman,
- 4:03Speaker 1: she knew what was expected of her. The X Barclay's
- 4:08Speaker 1: chief maintained that he cut off contact with Epstein after
- 4:11Speaker 1: assuming control of the bank in twenty fifteen, but revealed
- 4:15Speaker 1: in other portions of his interview that he had a
- 4:17Speaker 1: sexual relationship with one of his finance pal's assistants, while
- 4:21Speaker 1: denying he had an encounter with a woman dressed as
- 4:24Speaker 1: snow white. So now he's on record saying that, so
- 4:27Speaker 1: let's find a woman who was dressed as snow white,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you know, like a real investigation would, but I guess
- 4:33Speaker 1: they have other things to do, way too busy doing
- 4:36Speaker 1: other things. But the Department of Justice released emails earlier
- 4:41Speaker 1: this year showing the two discussing the character, among the
- 4:44Speaker 1: twelve hundred communications from Staley's email account as the head
- 4:48Speaker 1: of JP Morgan's private bank to his client Epstein's private
- 4:51Speaker 1: email address between two thousand and eight and twenty twelve.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Maybe they're tracking you. That was fun. Say hi to
- 4:58Speaker 1: snow White, Staley wrote to he Epstein on July ninth,
- 5:01Speaker 1: twenty ten. I never met her, but you know, say
- 5:05Speaker 1: a load her. I might want to meet her, say
- 5:07Speaker 1: a lo to her. How does it even know who
- 5:09Speaker 1: snow White is? Did Epstein send him a picture for
- 5:11Speaker 1: his approval so he could bring her along? I have questions?
- 5:16Speaker 1: What character would you like next? Asked Epstein in a
- 5:19Speaker 1: response the following day, Beauty and the Beast Daley said,
- 5:24Speaker 1: Epstein replied, Well, one side's available. Another unidentified person emailed
- 5:29Speaker 1: Epstein on July tenth, twenty ten, the snow White was
- 5:33Speaker 1: fucked twice as soon as she put her costume on. Okay,
- 5:37Speaker 1: who is snow White? And who sent this email? And
- 5:40Speaker 1: why would Todd Blanche and cash, Patel and the rest
- 5:43Speaker 1: of these morons tell us there's nothing else to see
- 5:46Speaker 1: and nobody to investigate, and nowhere to go, unless, of course,
- 5:49Speaker 1: there's a cover up. Other emails in the doj Epstein
- 5:54Speaker 1: Library disclosed that the money manager told an unidentified woman
- 5:58Speaker 1: on June twentieth ten, I would love to take photos
- 6:01Speaker 1: of you in a snow white costume. You can get
- 6:04Speaker 1: it from the costume store. We'll get it, the woman
- 6:06Speaker 1: responded to him. So from an investigative point of view,
- 6:10Speaker 1: they have to find out who that woman is. They
- 6:12Speaker 1: already know and they should talk to her. And remember,
- 6:14Speaker 1: now this is a criminal matter. If what is being
- 6:17Speaker 1: implied is true, we're talking about a criminal matter. So
- 6:21Speaker 1: there's certainly levers that can be pulled by the government
- 6:26Speaker 1: to compel testimony. Staley also received from Epstein an unsolicited
- 6:31Speaker 1: photo of a woman on December twentieth, two thousand and nine,
- 6:34Speaker 1: which has been redacted in core papers. A source familiar
- 6:37Speaker 1: with his Oversight Committee interview said he shared further details
- 6:40Speaker 1: about consensual sexual encounter with an Epstein assistant at the
- 6:44Speaker 1: disgraced financiers apartment in New York City. So we went
- 6:47Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein's apartment right, and he had sex with
- 6:51Speaker 1: one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants who was being abused by
- 6:54Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. How is that not human trafficking? How is
- 6:59Speaker 1: that on jeff Free Epstein hooking him up with a
- 7:01Speaker 1: girl that's already being abused, that's in the pipeline. And
- 7:04Speaker 1: all the people that were pushing that narrative that there
- 7:07Speaker 1: was no human trafficking, they looked dumber by the day,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and the credibility, if they ever had any, is getting shattered. Staley,
- 7:17Speaker 1: who resigned from Barclays in twenty twenty one amid a
- 7:20Speaker 1: UK investigation into his financial ties to Epstein, had also
- 7:24Speaker 1: previously denied knowledge of his discussions with a now deceased
- 7:27Speaker 1: pedophile about a woman dressed as a Disney princess during
- 7:31Speaker 1: past court proceedings. I really don't believe anything, just Daley says,
- 7:35Speaker 1: and that's because, well, the dude's unbelievable. The emails were
- 7:39Speaker 1: first sighted in a lawsuit brought by the US Virgin
- 7:42Speaker 1: Islands against JP Morgan for allegedly facilitating Epstein's sex trafficking.
- 7:47Speaker 1: JP Morgan paid out seventy five million to settle that
- 7:50Speaker 1: case with the Virgin Islands and reached a confidential settlement
- 7:54Speaker 1: with Staley. God knows how much he paid them, And
- 7:57Speaker 1: again the Virgin Islands grit dough for what. What exactly
- 8:02Speaker 1: did the Virgin Island suffer here, besides eating at both
- 8:06Speaker 1: ends of the table, besides their politicians making a bunch
- 8:09Speaker 1: of money, besides people getting the largesse of Jeffrey Epstein.
- 8:14Speaker 1: What exactly happened? And how the hell did the USVII
- 8:17Speaker 1: come out of this looking like a victim when, in
- 8:21Speaker 1: my opinion, they were victimizers. At the very least, they
- 8:25Speaker 1: enabled Jeffrey Epstein. They protected him, They gave them all
- 8:28Speaker 1: those tax benefits, They let him do whatever he wanted
- 8:30Speaker 1: on that island. But sure, let's give them a shit
- 8:34Speaker 1: ton of money. In twenty twenty three, JP Morgan also
- 8:38Speaker 1: paid out two hundred and ninety million to settle a
- 8:40Speaker 1: lawsuit brought by Epstein's survivors. Staley was later asked by
- 8:44Speaker 1: the bank to remove all his accounts with the bank
- 8:47Speaker 1: due to his Epstein ties. The source said, imagine that shit.
- 8:51Speaker 1: They want to get rid of Staley, but they kept
- 8:53Speaker 1: Epstein for all those years. And then the other executives
- 8:56Speaker 1: lacked like they had no idea they did. We saw
- 8:59Speaker 1: the emails, we saw what Mary Erdos was saying. And
- 9:02Speaker 1: to think Jamie Diamond had no idea about Jeffrey Epstein
- 9:06Speaker 1: is a very hard pill to swallow. Now, I'm not
- 9:08Speaker 1: saying Jamie Diamond knew exactly what he was doing, but
- 9:11Speaker 1: to act like Jamie Diamond had no idea who Jeffrey
- 9:14Speaker 1: Epstein was, I just don't believe that. Oversight Committee Chairman
- 9:19Speaker 1: James Comer pull reporters before the interview with Staley that
- 9:22Speaker 1: there were internal discussions that JP Morgan was concerned about
- 9:26Speaker 1: Epstein as a client, that he was a high risk client.
- 9:29Speaker 1: But Jess Staley was the one person who continued to
- 9:32Speaker 1: defend Epstein. Well, that's why I told you he was
- 9:35Speaker 1: Epstein's white knight. Jess Staley was Epstein's everything in the
- 9:40Speaker 1: financial world. And without Jess Staley, a lot of this
- 9:43Speaker 1: bullshit doesn't happen. Let's be real, because it was very
- 9:47Speaker 1: important that Jeffrey Epstein had access to JP Morgan, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: that's what Jess Staley brought right access. We know that
- 9:56Speaker 1: he was very close friends to mister Epstein. Comer also
- 9:59Speaker 1: said While the banker has denied a close relationship with
- 10:03Speaker 1: Epstein in court, Staley did acknowledge to the oversight panel
- 10:06Speaker 1: that he visited his one time client during his thirteen
- 10:09Speaker 1: months in his stay prison in Florida starting in two
- 10:12Speaker 1: thousand and eight after pleading guilty to soliciting sex from
- 10:16Speaker 1: a minor. The source added, he wasn't in prison. He
- 10:19Speaker 1: was in a county stockade, and he was only there
- 10:22Speaker 1: for a few hours a day, So let's not call
- 10:24Speaker 1: it prison. Okay. Prison is someplace like Attica, not the
- 10:30Speaker 1: county stockade down upon Beach. The source also indicated that
- 10:37Speaker 1: Staley observed Epstein frequently withdraw large amounts of cash from
- 10:41Speaker 1: his JP Morgan account. Comer's committee has conducted nineteen interviews
- 10:45Speaker 1: as part of its investigation into the Justice Department's prosecution
- 10:49Speaker 1: of Epstein and release of files about its probe into
- 10:52Speaker 1: the deceased sex trafficker and his convicted accomplice, Glene Maxwell.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And if there has ever been a bigger shit show,
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'd love to see it ex Apollo Global Management CEO
- 11:03Speaker 1: Leon Black, one of those people previously interviewed by the
- 11:06Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee, is expected to turn over non disclosure
- 11:09Speaker 1: agreements that he signed with women connected to Epstein. Staley's
- 11:13Speaker 1: attorney did not respond to a request for comment. Probably
- 11:17Speaker 1: a good decision, honestly, because I think that Jess Staley
- 11:20Speaker 1: might be in trouble here, at the very least exposed.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So we'll see what Congress has to say or what
- 11:26Speaker 1: they do or if they refer him. But I think
- 11:29Speaker 1: that if anybody deserves an investigation at this point, it's
- 11:33Speaker 1: a guy that said he had consensual sex quote unquote
- 11:36Speaker 1: with one of the girls that were being abused. We
- 11:39Speaker 1: might want to look into that. And I don't know,
- 11:41Speaker 1: maybe it's just me, but we should probably ask the
- 11:44Speaker 1: girl who had consensual sex with right, that might be
- 11:48Speaker 1: a good place to start. So we'll see what they
- 11:50Speaker 1: come up with, and we'll see what Congress has to
- 11:53Speaker 1: say about Jess Staley and this testimony, and when we
- 11:57Speaker 1: get some more information, we'll get that added to the catalog.
- 12:01Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
- 12:03Speaker 1: found in the description box.
