- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, Commentatorial Alive from Philly. It's the
- 0:09Speaker 1: folly of Donty Foolsco shot us always Polly Foolsco here
- 0:16Speaker 1: with Tony Folsco and Tony. Huge week for Philly sports.
- 0:21Speaker 1: And let's face it for us, you know, we said
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Eagles and Phillies with total locks the win titles
- 0:28Speaker 1: this year. And sure enough our prediction coming true. And
- 0:33Speaker 1: you know, the the Eagles, you saw it. People, they
- 0:37Speaker 1: totally clowned the Cowboys. But you know, of course, the
- 0:40Speaker 1: foolish mainstream media's you know, they gotta say it's not
- 0:44Speaker 1: a true win because they beat the backup. You'll be
- 0:48Speaker 1: Cooper Rush and yeah, yeah, exactly. We're gonna set everybody
- 0:52Speaker 1: straight on this BS, including our guest today, Dallas Cowboys
- 0:57Speaker 1: writer R. J. O Chowa from SB Nation and their
- 1:02Speaker 1: site blogging the Boys. What kind of name for a
- 1:06Speaker 1: website is that? Anyway? You know he's using us in
- 1:10Speaker 1: our huge reach to get hits for his his website. There. Yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 1: do people even still read blogs? That's a great question, Tony.
- 1:19Speaker 1: You know we'll have to ask him that among other things.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But before we get to all that, uh, I'll top
- 1:25Speaker 1: some business. A message from our good friends at Penn's Oil.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Are you using oil in your car that's not Penn's oil, Well,
- 1:35Speaker 1: why don't you just take your car straight to the
- 1:37Speaker 1: dump and leave it there. Yeah, in fact, while you're
- 1:40Speaker 1: rafted dump, you should just leave yourself there to yep,
- 1:45Speaker 1: Pens Oil. Yeah, all right there. Now that we got
- 1:48Speaker 1: our business out of the way there, it's time to
- 1:50Speaker 1: get to one of our most populous segments where we
- 1:53Speaker 1: go over everything that happened and told you everything we
- 1:57Speaker 1: got right. As usual, it's time for where Polly and
- 2:00Speaker 1: Tony were right, Where Paul and Tony were right. Well,
- 2:08Speaker 1: we told you it would happen last week, and Sharonough
- 2:11Speaker 1: the undefeated Eagles remained undefeated, making mincemeat of the Cowboys,
- 2:18Speaker 1: winning by a decisive score of SI wasn't even close. Yeah,
- 2:24Speaker 1: but you know a lot of idiots out there, you know,
- 2:26Speaker 1: they're claiming that Phillies last two wins against Dallas or
- 2:30Speaker 1: somehow bs because they were against backup quarterbacks, you know, Cooper, Russian, Bender, Nucci.
- 2:37Speaker 1: But you know we've been saying this for is Tony,
- 2:39Speaker 1: We've been on this. It's harder to beat a backup quarterback,
- 2:44Speaker 1: Isn't that right? Don't. Of course, with backups, there's no
- 2:48Speaker 1: tape to study, so it's hard. Starters have tons of
- 2:52Speaker 1: tape out there. This is why teams have figured out
- 2:55Speaker 1: Tom Brady. Teams have more tape on him than Bill
- 2:58Speaker 1: Belichick does on all his hidden camp court has combined
- 3:02Speaker 1: terrific perspective that, Tony, and you know Bill Belichick. Let's
- 3:06Speaker 1: not forget lost the Super Bowl to a quote unquote backup.
- 3:10Speaker 1: You'll be in Nick Falls, you know, probably because his
- 3:13Speaker 1: VCR must have been broken that day. You'll work. Yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 1: strange how that worked out. Yeah, but you know, let
- 3:18Speaker 1: me ask you this, people at home and in your
- 3:20Speaker 1: cause wherever you're listening, who is hard at the beat? Okay,
- 3:24Speaker 1: ask yourself this, a QUB with around a wind percentage
- 3:29Speaker 1: or a CUB with a one ercent win percentage in
- 3:34Speaker 1: Cooper Rush, wouldn't that person technically be unbeatable? Yeah, exactly,
- 3:40Speaker 1: learn your algebra. Yeah, and you know, one more point, hit, Tony.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You know people keep calling Cooper Rush the Cowboys backup quarterback.
- 3:51Speaker 1: What paper has no sense? He had started the last
- 3:55Speaker 1: three games for them, that was his fourth game in
- 3:57Speaker 1: a row. Doesn't that make him the daughter? Absolutely? Let's
- 4:02Speaker 1: say you go to a restaurant, you order a starter
- 4:06Speaker 1: off the menu, like potato skins, but then all you
- 4:10Speaker 1: eat for the whole meal is potato skins. Then the
- 4:13Speaker 1: potato skins weren't the starter, they were your entree. Terrific analogic,
- 4:20Speaker 1: don'ty Alright? Moving on where Paul and Don were right,
- 4:25Speaker 1: Another thing we got bang on the head. We told
- 4:27Speaker 1: you months ago the Phillies were gonna win the World
- 4:30Speaker 1: Series this year, and sure enough, another prediction coming true.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You know. Of course, though the idiots and the haters
- 4:36Speaker 1: out there, you know, with this one, they're saying it's
- 4:39Speaker 1: unfair because the Phillies have a high payroll. What, No,
- 4:44Speaker 1: they don't. You know, we checked the stats on this,
- 4:46Speaker 1: didn't We don't. Yeah, this is just another case of
- 4:50Speaker 1: a horse narrative. Right before the show, we went to
- 4:53Speaker 1: a very reputable salary website, Spoke Track, and it clearly
- 4:58Speaker 1: showed the Phillies do not have that high a payroll.
- 5:02Speaker 1: They were actually way down on the list at number four,
- 5:06Speaker 1: behind the Mets, the Dodgers, and the Yankees. So if
- 5:09Speaker 1: you just look at those four teams, the Phillies actually
- 5:13Speaker 1: have the lowest a roll. Great perspective again, Tony. Alright,
- 5:19Speaker 1: next topic where Pauli and Tony were right. You know
- 5:24Speaker 1: another thing we've been saying for years, NBA talk has
- 5:27Speaker 1: become terrible and unlistenable garbage. And you know, JJ Reddick
- 5:32Speaker 1: over at ESPN, he actually said something today that was
- 5:35Speaker 1: finally worthwhile. You know what he said, why don't we
- 5:37Speaker 1: just play the clippy? He made an important suggestion to
- 5:41Speaker 1: some of the clowns in our industry. I listen to this.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I look at the Lakers season that we should treat
- 5:47Speaker 1: this season as a celebration of Lebron's individual greatness because
- 5:52Speaker 1: he will at some point hopefully pass Kareem a bul
- 5:55Speaker 1: Jabbar and become the all time leading score in NBA history,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and that should be This season is about spending all
- 6:01Speaker 1: day every day talking about their deficiencies. That's not great.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You know, he actually has half a good point there.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You know, if you if you ignore the wanting to
- 6:13Speaker 1: talk about Lebron stuff, which nobody wants. But you know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: what he's saying there was pretty good. You know, who
- 6:19Speaker 1: won or lost the game is totally irrelevant and uninteresting.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You know, NBA talk, You know, it used to be
- 6:26Speaker 1: better because what people used to talk about was the
- 6:28Speaker 1: important stuff, you know, like points per game, Korea, total points, milestones,
- 6:33Speaker 1: other things you know you'd look up in an almanac
- 6:35Speaker 1: and get the history, right, Tony, Yeah, I've been saying
- 6:40Speaker 1: this is where the NBA should copy bowling and what
- 6:43Speaker 1: made bowling so successful. Instead of having teams that nobody
- 6:47Speaker 1: cares about, just play the game and see which individual
- 6:50Speaker 1: players scores the most points, you know, like Seth Curry
- 6:54Speaker 1: hits three threes in a row. Wow, Turkey, I could
- 6:58Speaker 1: totally see that catching on, Tony. Right, And let's just
- 7:02Speaker 1: go to our last one here where Pauli and Tony
- 7:05Speaker 1: were right. You know, normally we don't talk NASCAR on
- 7:09Speaker 1: this show because you know, as you know, it's ratings poison.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But there is one story out there we don't need
- 7:15Speaker 1: to address. A NASCAR has suspended a driver, Bubba Wallace,
- 7:20Speaker 1: for deliberately bumping into another race and named Kyle Lawson.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Now we need to defend Bubba Wallace here, because you
- 7:27Speaker 1: know we've said this for years. It's something I've never understood, Tony.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You know, I don't understand why these races are always
- 7:33Speaker 1: just driving in straight lines and circles. You know or
- 7:36Speaker 1: didn't make more sense that you actually want to hit
- 7:39Speaker 1: the other car and knock him out of the race.
- 7:41Speaker 1: You know, it seems like an obvious strategy. You know,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I think the sport and I've said this would be
- 7:46Speaker 1: much better if they kept bumping into each other. Isn't
- 7:49Speaker 1: that totally obvious? Tony? Of course. You know, if you
- 7:54Speaker 1: really knew anything about racing, you know that NASCAR is
- 7:59Speaker 1: not the most popular format. The most popular format by
- 8:03Speaker 1: far is bumper Cause whenever I go to a carnival,
- 8:07Speaker 1: the longest line is always at the bumper cause that,
- 8:11Speaker 1: to me, is a clear sign of popularity. And frankly,
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm surprised NASCAR hasn't taken notice of it. You know,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm just as surprised as you are, Tony. And you know,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I hate to admit this on end, but I can't
- 8:25Speaker 1: believe we just gave that idea away for free. You know,
- 8:28Speaker 1: if you think about it, that's a billion dollar idea
- 8:31Speaker 1: that maybe we should consider doing ourselves. Yeah, don't steal
- 8:35Speaker 1: it or we'll sue you. Yeah, exactly. Well, that raps
- 8:38Speaker 1: with Polly and Tony were right then. Now, well, now
- 8:40Speaker 1: it's time to bring our guests on the line. So
- 8:42Speaker 1: let's know what he's not on the line. Where is
- 8:47Speaker 1: he j when he's running late? What what's he doing?
- 8:54Speaker 1: What's he's so busy doing? Yeah, we give him this
- 8:56Speaker 1: opportunity to promote. It's like the paston's two point. Oh
- 9:00Speaker 1: he's coming in. You know these writers, Tony, they go
- 9:03Speaker 1: on their own clock. They're so slow. Yeah, he's too
- 9:06Speaker 1: busy blogging the Boys or whatever. They're oh alright, oh
- 9:12Speaker 1: there he's coming. Oh well great, well alright, alright, fine,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you know, Tony, Tony, let's just move on. We'll be
- 9:20Speaker 1: professional about this. We're gonna be professional journalist. Here he is.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Let's bring our guest on the FUSCO Satellite network. Alright, guest, guys,
- 9:33Speaker 1: the manager and editor in chief of Blogging the Boys,
- 9:38Speaker 1: which is again a terrible name for a website. I
- 9:41Speaker 1: don't know who came up with that. Covering the Dallas Cowboys.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Also got a podcast, the Show and the esp Nation
- 9:49Speaker 1: NFL Show. Okay, alright, anyway, let's just bring him in.
- 9:52Speaker 1: O j o Cho, welcome to the show. Great to
- 9:55Speaker 1: be here, guys, blogging the Boys. It's it's great for
- 9:57Speaker 1: s c O. That's really all we after just after
- 9:59Speaker 1: tho page views. Um, so that was kind of the
- 10:01Speaker 1: whole point of the whole thing. Well, you know, actually
- 10:03Speaker 1: I was hoping that you would apologize for being late.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I gave you that option there. Uh. You know, it
- 10:08Speaker 1: just shows that everyone involved with the Cowboys as terrible
- 10:12Speaker 1: clock management. We thought it was just coach McCarthy. But
- 10:15Speaker 1: you know, also, you know, you'll learn to be a
- 10:17Speaker 1: little more professional next time. So I also failed the
- 10:20Speaker 1: challenge the idea that you said, just like Mark McCarthy
- 10:24Speaker 1: failed to challenge his his spot there in the end
- 10:26Speaker 1: of the first half. That's my bad too, all right.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I appreciate an attempting humor which also reflected the truth.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So good for you. All right, Danny well Litz, just
- 10:33Speaker 1: get to a topic here, all right. You know, idiots
- 10:36Speaker 1: out there they're saying the Eagles they don't deserve credit
- 10:39Speaker 1: for the win over the Cowboys because they beat a
- 10:41Speaker 1: quote unquote backup. Now that just sounds like salah apples
- 10:44Speaker 1: to us. You know, if you really look at it,
- 10:47Speaker 1: it's harder to beat a backup. Okay, you know there
- 10:50Speaker 1: are tons of film. There's tons of film on staters
- 10:54Speaker 1: like you know, Tom Brady, tons of film on him.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Now he's getting exposed and he sucks, but there's virtual
- 11:00Speaker 1: no film on Cooper Rush, and the Eagles still destroyed him.
- 11:03Speaker 1: So you know that was hard at it? Dude? Don't
- 11:05Speaker 1: you agree? You know? Um, On the one hand, the
- 11:09Speaker 1: Philadelphia Goos are the only team that Cooper Rush has
- 11:11Speaker 1: ever lost to, so you could wear that is some
- 11:13Speaker 1: sort of badge of honor. Um. But I would pose
- 11:17Speaker 1: it that you know, yeah, Eagles about a little bit
- 11:20Speaker 1: of tough time beating Dak Prescott. I mean that's kind
- 11:22Speaker 1: of you know, film or no film, that's kind of
- 11:23Speaker 1: been the bugaboo for the Eagles, and so, um, you know,
- 11:26Speaker 1: maybe maybe it worked out this time, but I do
- 11:29Speaker 1: think that that that kind of changes that this time
- 11:31Speaker 1: this time. Oh yeah, alright, Sorr, Yeah, Dak changes the calculus.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Let me give you some math. Okay, yeah, you're calculus
- 11:38Speaker 1: your nerd. Alright, So Dak Prescott alright, winning percentage around fifty.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Cooper Rush came in with a hundred percent and you
- 11:48Speaker 1: win percentage and you want to talk to us about
- 11:50Speaker 1: math and calculus? What are you talking about? Cooper Rush
- 11:54Speaker 1: was technically unbeatable. Yeah, that's true. I mean again, in
- 12:00Speaker 1: the literal world. Um, I suppose I need to reconsider
- 12:03Speaker 1: um the results of Sunday Night. Talking literal, suppose, what
- 12:08Speaker 1: are you Shakespeare? Alright, you know, beating this guy that that.
- 12:12Speaker 1: If they're beating the best, why play anymore? You know what?
- 12:15Speaker 1: What is there left to prove? If the Eagles have
- 12:17Speaker 1: already proven at all? I'm sensing the little sarcasm here, PAULI,
- 12:21Speaker 1: but I think he yeah, exactly, he's he's trying out
- 12:24Speaker 1: more of that humor there that you know they need
- 12:26Speaker 1: that in Dallas because they're exactly you know. But but look,
- 12:29Speaker 1: come on, you know, as a writer, you know you're
- 12:31Speaker 1: all about words, right you people down there? You keep
- 12:34Speaker 1: calling Cooper Rush the backup. Okay, he started the previous
- 12:38Speaker 1: three games, doesn't that make him the STARTA tony? Tell
- 12:41Speaker 1: him your analogy there? Yeah, ah j. If you go
- 12:44Speaker 1: to a restaurant and you order a stata off the menu,
- 12:48Speaker 1: like potato skins, but then all of a sudden you're
- 12:51Speaker 1: just eating the whole meal potato skins, then technically potato
- 12:56Speaker 1: skins weren't the stata. They where you're entree. That's so
- 13:00Speaker 1: there's there's right, there are a lot of people who
- 13:03Speaker 1: do that. I don't know if you guys have you know,
- 13:05Speaker 1: broken bread with people who try to you know, I'll
- 13:07Speaker 1: just have an appetizer as a meal. I don't need
- 13:10Speaker 1: those people in right, I mean, get a meal, you
- 13:13Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, we're not here to discuss.
- 13:15Speaker 1: That was just an analogy. This is a smart show.
- 13:17Speaker 1: This is not This is not t G I fry.
- 13:19Speaker 1: It is stay on topic. The starter. Um, well there's
- 13:23Speaker 1: a new starter then for the Cowboys this season and
- 13:25Speaker 1: Dak Prescott. The Eagles haven't beaten that one, so they
- 13:28Speaker 1: haven't beaten the current starting quarterback. Saying, let me get
- 13:33Speaker 1: this on record. You're saying that the wind isn't that
- 13:36Speaker 1: impressive because they didn't beat that mediocre starting quarterback. I'm saying,
- 13:42Speaker 1: the wind is the potato skins of all available options.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Guess what you are? You're out of options because that
- 13:51Speaker 1: kind of take gets you somewhere, and you know where
- 13:54Speaker 1: that is. I'm going through, Oh, showing you the door
- 13:59Speaker 1: because you don't crappy takes on the show words, what
- 14:09Speaker 1: what go padres? Is he off the line? Okay, hang
- 14:21Speaker 1: up the fuel. This is what we tell you people.
- 14:23Speaker 1: The problem with this industry media bias. Not one objective
- 14:27Speaker 1: statement in all of that. None. His blog should actually
- 14:32Speaker 1: be called kissing up to the boys. There you go,
- 14:35Speaker 1: don't eat great great one. Anyway, we're not gonna let
- 14:38Speaker 1: that ruin what was otherwise a terrific show. But we
- 14:41Speaker 1: don't need to thank God good friends at Penn's Oil
- 14:48Speaker 1: producer Jay. If it isn't one of our not good friends,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you're not a friend. What do you want us? What? What? Okay?
- 14:58Speaker 1: You said Dak Prescott has around career win percentage. Yeah yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: it's actually okay, Well that's called rounding. Yeah math, looking
- 15:10Speaker 1: math can't you can't just round down twelve. That's not
- 15:15Speaker 1: how statistics work. Oh yeah, well I'm going to round
- 15:19Speaker 1: your life expectancy down to zero. Yeah, here's math for you.
- 15:24Speaker 1: You plus less talking equals better. Number two. You said
- 15:30Speaker 1: the website you used to check and LB payrolls was
- 15:34Speaker 1: called spoke truck Yep. Yeah no, it it's called spot track.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well you know what I spot a total idiot. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: if you are listed on spoke track, your salary would
- 15:52Speaker 1: be zero. Yeah, round down that. Yeah enough. Last one,
- 15:58Speaker 1: last one, you said GASCAR should allow their drivers to
- 16:02Speaker 1: bump each other like bumper cars. Ye're terrific, way better.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Do you realize what would happen if NASCAR drivers bumped
- 16:11Speaker 1: into each other at two? Trust me? Would be great.
- 16:16Speaker 1: It's horrible idea, Yeah, kind of like hiring you. Yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 1: horrible idea? Was the original name your parents gave you?
- 16:30Speaker 1: So sad you know you could tell that was true
- 16:33Speaker 1: based on his reaction. Anyway, that's a good note to
- 16:36Speaker 1: go out on, you know, and they don'ty. Another good
- 16:39Speaker 1: note we next say, coming on the show Eagles hero
- 16:44Speaker 1: Nick Falls coming on. They're looking forward to that. And
- 16:47Speaker 1: don't forget to follow us on all our many platforms.
- 16:50Speaker 1: A huge on social media as you probably on up
- 16:53Speaker 1: that every way. But hey, don'ty. Great job as always, dame,
- 16:57Speaker 1: do you Holly? Another fluor Let's there you go. We'll
- 17:01Speaker 1: see your people next week. Bye, see you, h
