- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, ready?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome on in.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: It is that time of week here on a Monday.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: It can only mean one thing.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's the sooner's on a side.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: Softball show and boy, do we have a lot to get into?
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was a bizarre, sometimes chaotic weekend in college station.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: Ultimately, Oklahoma does the job.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's the two of three that the sooner's needed to leave no doubt.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: No shares, we're not chopping up trophies and sending one to Tuscaloost and one to Norman.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: your Oklahoma suitors are back to back SEC regular season champs.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we're here to break it all down.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: I myself Ryan Chapman, a couple miles north of me.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: We've got the great Ryan Aber, Mr. Aber, how is your weekend and how was it tracking everything from Thursday night in the Friday?
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: It was a it was a good one.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was certainly an interesting Thursday night with the handover of that game between you and I.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: As the the rain delay was not conducive to a morning radio schedule.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: for for you and then we finally figured out they're not going to pick up that game until Friday we get about what was a 30 minutes or so of action a little bit more than that maybe on Friday afternoon and then they cancel that game and then we have to play a doublehead or sun Saturday and then you know all kinds of craziness between
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: the possibilities for OU and where that lines up and you know Florida and Georgia playing each other and LSU and Auburn playing a double header and trying to figure out how all these pieces LSU and Auburn wind up not mattering once some of the the the tiebreakers were figured out but trying to figure out how all these pieces come together but we finally have an SEC tournament bracket and as you said OU
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: uh... figures out a way to escape and uh... take the regular season championship it's look i don't know but it cares about this but the logistics of as you said uh... you guys work around me here at the site which i really appreciate this because i'm usually trying to be in bed maybe not asleep but in bed on the path to slumber by ten ten fifteen
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: seeing as we have the early wake up called it to head up to franchise studios and all that fun stuff.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: And as we were coming out of, you know, Oklahoma does their mid week, Abranai, ever the planners.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: We usually just like do all of our planning on the sidewalk at Love's Field that everyone that's been doing game has walked by.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's where like the the sausage gets made for Abranai as far as like you're doing this.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing that great.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: And as we put together the schedule never did I ever think we knew that there were reign possibilities coming in all that stuff.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: Still, me, I assume that A&M, Oklahoma, and most importantly, the SEC, A&M and the SEC, would get together on Thursday and say, hey, we might not be able to play softball on Friday.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: We need to play all of these games to avoid the headache that we had a year ago, which was one team in the thick of the SEC race, playing one less game, having to go to win percentage all this time.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: One team, by the way, being Texas A&M,
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: That exact team that is hosted, I would have thought the life of me, SEC Network, be damned, TV, be damned, I thought at the very least they get together and go, hey,
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: even if we have to move the game up a little bit.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I know SEC Network really, really wants to cover the Kind of Welles home run chase, which is awesome.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's great that it's to the point that SEC Network is really trying to window games to get a program like Oklahoma and a player like Kind of like, that's incredible.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: Think about 10 years ago, a whole TV network, like moving their schedule around Oklahoma softball, it's unimaginable, right?
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time, I also assumed that they would understand, hey, we're doing picture and picture on S.E.C.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: Network any time she's up to bad anyway, could we start this game an hour early, join it in progress?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: We can just be really aggressive with our in-to-break out-of-break, hey, I know that we're still in Austin, covering Texas and Arkansas, but just an update.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what happened in the first inning.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what happened in the second inning.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we're going to go box and picture and picture because Kind of was kind of I thought in the SEC's infinite wisdom.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: They might figure it out away to avoid that.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: I also wonder, ABER, if the OU Texas Sunday game gave them a false sense of confidence, because that was another game that was like, if we play it right now, the projected thing we have, the perfect window of opportunity to get this thing done, and OU in Texas, even with an extra inning got out of there, and it's okay, everybody's fine.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: If that had played 10 more minutes,
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think that game would have been suspended.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: I guess they learned the wrong lesson from that.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: And in the end, you had the disaster that was Friday, which Patty talked about where they're taking finals.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: They're having to pick up.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're having to go.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: A gate breaks.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: We're lucky it's even broadcasting, because it looked just as hazy as it could be.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a disaster the way that was handed on Thursday night and into Friday.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it really was.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Although at least we got the TV announcer talking about what a French cleat is, which by the way, I've got some right here.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: We could do a demonstration of how that padding hangs onto the doorway there.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, what a disaster.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, I mean, can you imagine if, say, oh, you comes back in the top of the seventh and ties it?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have the, you know, the rain starts fairly sorely after and then, you know, you have to go back and finish a couple on Saturday and then probably come back and play on Sunday because you can't finish three games in one day just a mess and yeah, you would have thought it wouldn't have been hard just to move it up a little bit.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: give you a little bit of a breathing room to go ahead and get it in on Thursday and then you know call Friday a loss and then you know the double header we were able to get in with no problem on Saturday but luckily it finished with all games being decided so that we didn't have a situation like what happened a year ago but gosh what a mess mess this weekend turned out to be.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: also drastically changed just what I think the grand takeaways from Thursday were going to be because up until the moment I got delayed.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the last act of the first six in a third inning was Audrey Laurie tying her career high with H strikeouts.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: It was a game in which Ella Parker and Kai Miner were unconscious and it was also I thought, Ryan, a return of if you issue a free pass.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: If you make a mistake in the field, the best Oklahoma teams that we've watched 2021 and on, it's been like automatic.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: Two out-hitting errors equal runs, walks equal runs, and you look at what Ella and Kai-Miner did that officially scoring a couple of RBIs appease.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: You have the
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: the play that there are very, very few people in the country that I think are watching for.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, it's Talon Edwards going to feel this cleanly at second.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm going to round third anyway, just in case and then decide to go and just the insect recognition that happens that was ultimately not enough, but the kind of the insurance broke along.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then suddenly it flips to
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: Audrey Larry goes out there for just one at that.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: It then becomes of their playing the matchups, what Shane you just didn't look ready to go on Friday.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's five singles too, so it was a meltdown, but it wasn't a, oh my gosh, there's four walks in a home run and this and that, it was stuff that
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: And you heard, you know, whether you listen on the broadcast, whether it be the ESPN broadcast, or whether it be Chris Plank.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Jim Roger was like, listen, was it great?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, obviously, but if you look at it, it's not like we just got absolutely smoked.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: It was from seeing a single, like things five singles, all that totally drastically shifted just kind of the story of that opening game of this series.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no doubt about it and yeah, you just look at the play by play of that and just crazy way that it came to about after Audrey Lauer was lifted, you know, you sort of wondered, hey, will they just stick with Lauery here after.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: uh... she comes in and and gets that uh... first out or the second out of the inning uh... first out of the day on a uh... a sacrifice but to uh... move the runner up to third but they decide to go with uh... with uh... which i'm able to get it finished in yet
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: These were long at bats.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: What was it six-pitch at bat for the first single?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Four, what seven?
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: Then she did walk Perez, the intentional walk there.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then the single to Michaela Walk, which came on an O2 pitch, which Kendall Wells celebrated one a little bit too early there.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, certainly I know there were some, probably some consternation on the, you know, you coaching staff about one.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: The call initially because I mean, it was, it was close.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: I would have liked to have seen a little bit.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, with the strike zone box, things like that, nobody like that.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you didn't like them.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: And M's coaches didn't like him as you saw.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but Saturday, I think that's what boiled over to Adam, you know, getting his marching orders.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: The, like, it was one of those things where I think everybody watching is like,
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: Regardless of what the box was on TV, it was very clear it's like, we are seeing the same view and there are a bunch of pitches that seem to be in the same spot that half the time they're balls, half the time they're strikes, all the catchers look confused, which is usually if you've got two veteran catchers confused and someone that can do well it's caught all year long in this conference and then when it ends got, usually that leads to one person being the issue and it not being the players on the field.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely, and you could certainly understand the frustrations on both sides of things in that one, but yeah, just a tough way to lose the game for the Seniors, and you start to wonder, you know, after that one with, you know, having to sit around all night, you have a double header, you sit there and watch, you know, what goes on around the rest of the league.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, luckily for OU they got some help from Arkansas to get Texas eliminated from their portion of the race, but, you know, what's going on with Florida and Alabama and just a, oh, a wild little bit, but as Patty gas so does, even though,
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I don't know what was mentioned more over the initial part of the broadcast that Kindle Wells was on track to break tie and then break Laura Espinoza's record.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: We heard a lot about both of them or the fact that Patty Gesso had never been swept in a three-game series.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: We heard a lot of that and, you know,
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not one to say, hey, announcers, they want this to happen, they want, I get it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's the storylines, you talk about the storylines, you act like people aren't watching every single second of every single moment, I mean, you know that in radio, how you have to talk about the same things, several times, but for those of us who are watching it every single second, every single moment,
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: it gets very repetitive having to hear that stuff and also that's why that players that are really good wind up getting hated by other fan bases because they have to hear about it.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like we heard about Tre Young when he was, you know, in his run during OU like we heard about Tim Tibo sort of becoming that way with Kindle Wells for for sure, but OU was able to bounce
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: It was, you know, a bit of a rough go of it at times, but they were able to pull out those last two victories.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: We saw the same two highlight packages, a billion different ways, and part of that was because Kind of well, didn't actually get a ton of chances this weekend and get many bites at the apple.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: She drew six walks, a good chunk of those, I would say, were either to straight up intentional or hey, if we don't get out 01.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: let's just make this four pitches and get around it.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: And we know what it looked like when Jocelyn was getting walked to avoid the record.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: I actually didn't think it was that this weekend.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the same thing you saw on Oklahoma side of things that in a spot where they kind of got into a weird spot, I think that they liked the matchup better with work than they liked it with my apparese.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: So my apparese was given a free pass, a ton.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Also, it almost kind of forced items hand every time to say, is this the spot you're going to run for my apparese or is this the spot that you're
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to let them pick and choose like the big moment, which I think is an underrated part of that.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: For Oklahoma, I think a lot of it was Cassie Picker and hitting behind Kindle Wells, certainly led to that situation.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it all the time, right?
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: With Oklahoma's offense, it's like you got to take your medicine, where do you want to take it?
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, unfortunately, the week that, you know,
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: not the week, the month, the Cassidy Pickering has kind of been having.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: We wrote about it this week, was something that Patty Gassos say in all the right things.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: We've not lost faith in her, she's back, like I think building that confidence publicly.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: But I think you saw from Trishivore, the A&M coaching staff, they said,
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: If there's a slumping bat in this lineup, this is a gift from above.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just walk somebody and get to the, I don't care who it is.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get to the slumping bat.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: And the great news for Oklahoma is was Saturday that at bat where she gets the single, finally gets aboard.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: drives in a run.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: We see just the reaction she had on first, which Cassie is kind of like a cool customer.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: She's not robotic.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: She shows emotion, but I can't remember seeing that much emotion.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: Just for an RBI, her getting to first, you saw her spam all the celebrations with the dugout.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: You can see that that meant a lot to or then listen.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's the most Oklahoma softball thing.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: Most
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: to really reinforce things, get it going, Oklahoma hits blue, home runs, I guess, whether it be baths off the wall, things like that.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: But it certainly feels like if there's one thing to take from this weekend, if Cassie Pickering was able to bust out of that slump with her performances on Saturday, then that is where the death star becomes fully operational once again when it comes to the Oklahoma event.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because then those decisions, like the one you talked about that Trish Ford was having to make, become much more difficult, and, you know, you can at least roll the dice on the percentages when somebody's struggling, but when this offense is clicking right along, and especially, you know, when Pickering and the top of the order Pickering Garcia
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: doing what they've been able to do in that span then it becomes much more difficult to figure out how you're going to pitch to this OU group and I think that becomes much more difficult to pitch around Kindle Wells.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, you know, Patty Gasso made a little bit of an adjustment to align up in the final game to, you know, put Parker behind Wells and change things up there a little bit.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: That was interesting, but it, it just, you know, one of those things that, you know,
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: it makes and already really good offense otherworldly and for most of the year they've been otherworldly but there've been some holes that have sort of creeped up at at times with pickering struggling with a couple of the other struggles that they've had sort of briefly pop up.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: But felt like it was a really good sign for this group to get Cassidy Pickering going.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like you said that fourth inning single that she had on the first game on Saturday was big time.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: Not only for the team, because it drove in there first runs.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: of the day, but also for her to sort of get her just back feeling, you know, pedigasso talked about her being confident, and then she had no problems, you know, trusting her, but it's one thing to say, it's another to actually see it in action.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I think we saw something start unlocking for her, and then yeah, that home run right off the top of the fence.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: It looked like for a second that the Alfield had a nice little beat on it.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: It might have a chance to make a leaping grab.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then it bounces out over the fence.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: And just a big time play there to get them back on the right side of things after things got in a little bit dicey there in the second game.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: And you start having to look at some tie breakers, a little bit down.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: in the the SEC standings what what's going to happen with two, three, four, everything like that luckily for for some of us at least, probably for somebody at the SEC office, it was made fairly easy by OU winning the thing outright and texting him, being able to be slotted where they are, but just to you know, I think an important day on Saturday for Oklahoma's offense to
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: you know, unlocks some things and start feeling better about themselves and some areas that maybe they had struggled a little bit.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm about picturing bouncing back.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that the story on Saturdays across the board was players ability to bounce back.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that anyone that was sit into the mixer on Friday was overly stoked with how they perform, which, you know, most of all, obviously thought she came out pitch pretty well.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: I do wonder if Jim Rochon, Patty Gassel on their way back to Norman, we're like, hey, that fleeting moment where you're thinking maybe I should lift her after the first home run.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: Next time, let's go ahead and lift her there.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's supposed to send her back out for one more because that's where she got really into trouble.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: But then you look at that second game, said Burzon, who was just, you know, stuck with the bouncer out there on Friday.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: comes in, it was quick in and out as far as that went.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: She came in, not just the work of her feeding the infield, things like that, but the five strikeouts, which was a season high for her, as well, on Saturday.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like one of those, hey, hey,
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think we know that with what you know, it's like what the good is going to be really really good.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: The bad's going to have some walks and hit batters and then from there it becomes a can she get out of those jams without those runs coming home stuff like that.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: First on we've seen her go deeper.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen her just be tossed in for a little bit.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever the I think like it is what it is for us to season this up.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone's unlocking something on the last Saturday at the regular season.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: feels like if nothing else, really good confidence builders getting back on Saturday for what Shane you and first on after again, anyone that pitched on Friday outside of maybe Audrey Lauer even like I at that, no one was overly stoked and the crimson and cream coming out of Friday.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no doubt about it.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, it was was good for them to get, you know, with Chanio back, you know, feeling okay about herself for sure.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then, yeah, I did think Friday, maybe one good thing was the fact that, you know, they were able to get Berkeley's a chaos there.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: and get her some action in that kind of environment, you know, not sure how much it means for, oh, you moving forward the rest of this year, but certainly something that can help her development overall, but to get the pitching step back, Audrey Lauer to get her back in both of those games and to finish the way that she did, and then watching, you know, in Burzanne, just to sort of flush that taste out.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: from what happened on Friday, I thought was a big time for that group.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I think still, you know, any question we have about this team is just can the pitching stay at a really high level and be consistent for,
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a long stretch of time, whether it's in a regional, a super regional in the world series.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll certainly make it out of the regional, but you know, that's maybe the biggest question mark for this group right now, but you know, overall on balance certainly feel good about things and hope that Friday was much more of a blip.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: then a signal that maybe we could be going back to what we saw early in the season out of this pitching staff.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: This is certainly fast forwarding and putting out cart before a horse all that stuff.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I also wonder if we've seen in the years we're patting gas.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: is big on a staff approach.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: The second, they win that first game at Oklahoma City, throw everything out the window.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: She will roll out her ace every day if she has to, if she wants to, if she's in that mode.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't think this is an insult to anyone.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure that Audrey L'Aurie is quite the same as Jordi Ball at the time, or a Kelly Maxwell who's dug within herself to find it, or even maybe the confidence that,
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: I had a guess.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: I had the Sam Landry last year, but I do wonder again, if Audrey Lauery is given kind of the dominant look that we've seen from her at times this year, especially in like a Thursday game out there.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: It had a guess.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: So in general, it should just say, we've got a big staff that we can move to quickly afterwards, but we're just going to keep rolling Lauery out there as long as you play on the Thursday, Saturday, Monday, Path type thing, but I get
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: A long way ahead of it, it's something I'm very, very fascinated to see.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's something that I don't think will pop up really until, honestly, the world series, because I think that if Rachel should be fine, super-seated, if you get a good matchup, I think you're going to see, like, Larry, with Shane, you know, then we'll see from there that might be enough just to punch the ticket anyway.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: It certainly has been in basically every single SEC series thus far, but I am fascinated with that, it'll look like.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, that that's a long ways down the way.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: We've got another tournament to preview before we get to that.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's the SEC tournament, which will get to your in a second.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: Two things I didn't want to dive into before we get on to the happenings and Lexington.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: First off, we missed it for the softball show last week.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: If you listen to the full, soon as an SI podcast, USA collegiate, USA softball collegiate player the year, their top 25 list was announced last Wednesday, Kyminer.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: Kindle Wells, Gabby Garcia, Ella Parker, Oklahoma gets four of the 25 that led the country only six programs at multiple players on the list.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: If you look at it, there were only two freshmen on the list, Kai Miner, Kindle Wells.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: There were only four underclasses on the list.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: kind of minor kind of wells, Gabby Garcia three of that for I'm going to put a real tough spot on you Ryan Aver and be sure to let us know how much you disagree in the comments.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: But if you can only pick one sooner that you're saying hey,
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: When we cut it down, and then we cut it down again, so to go to 10, and then to 3, and all that stuff, if you could only pick one sooner to be, we're going to put forth this player as the candidate for USA softball collegiate player the year from the four on the list.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: Who would it be?
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think there's like legitimate cases for all four of the Oklahoma players that are on that top 25 list.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think there's great cases to be made, but I think just Kindle Wells, when you're making a run at the record, that is at the top of Kyle Shopball, home runs are sexy.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody knows this, everybody knows who the home run leaders are, things like that.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: And when you're making a run at a home run record that is stood for over 30 years at this point,
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's going to put you at the top of the list even if the other numbers aren't, you know, as good as some of the the other players there that we've talked about, but I think it.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to surprise me if anybody other than Kindle Wells, ESA Torres, or Megan Grant, wins this thing.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know there's several other fantastic players who have great shots and some that we're very familiar with, but those three have just been sort of transcendent in my mind this year.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I put Kindle Wells there.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: What about you?
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to kind of crazy the gear of the two way picture is probably not going to get a top free final set of that group, which is kind of insane, I don't know if tracks had like the, you talk about, I don't know if they've just had the wow factor because they've been, you know,
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: the weekends that you have in big tin play.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like gosh, do we have to watch Penn State?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Penn State.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like three softball games, they're head out to college park.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: I also would put Kind of Wells forward, but I think that Kima, first off, picking between these candidates is top and saying, it's like when we talk about MVP stuff in any sport, like the barrier to entry, beyond the solicits, you've had an incredible season.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is not mean you're any less of a player, but now we have to pick one.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: So let's nitpick things like that.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: If I were nitpicking, I don't know, Gabby has had the exact same defensive season she had a year ago.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: She's had some unbelievable play still.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: I always grate this off of the like, when Patty Gasso is right now on her clipboard in the dugout, when Patty Gasso and scored that an error, it's not going to go in the official scorebook is an error, but would Patty have scored that as an error for her own defense.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think she said just like a couple more than maybe she did a
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: We, I think, have certainly tried to talk about it, but the work that Ella Parker has done in right field to go from someone that's just been in every day D.P.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: the first two years.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about it, the shinsp ones a year ago, something that to just being a defensive plus out, it's not just like, oh, they're hiding her out there in right field, the three assists, almost making a couple of competitive catches at the wall here in the last four or five games as well.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: That would be like that if she had robbed a home run, just to put that on the highlight real,
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, if it's not going to be kind of, it feels weird.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like Kai Miner.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Everything she does out there in center on the base is her.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: Just a sending to that lead off spot has fit her like the club.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's been perfect.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you get the occasional warning shot, like you did in, uh, first AB game three, that second game on Saturday, that's going to be the next up for her that I have no doubts coming here of these next couple of years.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, she can.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like the evolution of Jada that we saw, she can go yard 15 times as well as all the other stuff that she it's kind of unbelievable how it feels like she's just walking in Jada's footsteps while also being her own exit player in her own right.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely, and I thought the weekend that she had at the top of that order was just fantastic with the triple to break the tie in the 4-3 win.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: And like you mentioned, the leadoff home run there, just a great weekend from our more examples of what I wrote about and what we asked Patigasso about last week is just how much more of a mature approach we're seeing from Kai Miner at the plate.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: And it's, you know, something that...
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy to say, hey, these freshmen are playing, you know, like upper classmen, things like that, but we're seeing this evolution.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think Kindle Wells has become a much more balanced hitter as the season has gone on and the approach we've seen, you know, evolve during that time.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing with Kai Miner, I think maybe even to more of a degree,
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: with the way that she's able to approach things at the plate and sort of give her team what they need at any given moment, but also to be able to just squeeze every bit out of things that she can.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the the triple numbers are just, you know, sort of crazy that, you know, oh, you hasn't had a hit or with this many triples and in quite a few years,
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember if she's passed the high number that Kaylee Clifton had her last year at OU but it's been a while even before that since somebody had more so just fantastic seasons for all four of these but again I think I got to go with Wells just because of the the numbers that everybody loves to talk about are the ones that she's been compiling.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: But in those numbers, she's still sitting on 36.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, everyone around here knows that.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're interested, if you care, I know that there's some, along here, I don't care just what totally get it.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're looking for home run race and things like that, we enter all square as far as the home run race goes.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: UCLA had a weird week in against Oregon.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: A big offensive weekend, they're not like productive, like you'd want it to be as far as the wind column goes, but that's the thing that you're not there.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: UCLA and Oklahoma both sitting on 173 if my math was hashtag correct is they entered the postseason.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: You've got kind of wells on 36, Chef Grant, Megan Grant, hanging out there with 35.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: George Woolery is she at 33.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think she's at 33.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: I believe 33.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: I've slept since I wrote that story.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: But either way, that's what you're interested in.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: They both have a, there's no like one of them has an advantage because they might play more games in their conference tournament or stuff like that.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: They both have three possible games if they make it a loop.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Championship game.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: But as we know, regional super world series, you're not guaranteed to play the same number games, what the set ups the same.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're into that kind of thing, that will carry on all the way into the postseason a postseason, which gets underway this weekend in Lexington, Kentucky, the suitors will be laying out on the beach, not actually.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: But they'll be waiting until Thursday to get things going, what is the nearest beach in Lexington, Kentucky?
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: Nevermind, they've got the late game on Thursday night, which
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: We hope we'll start on time.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: I can tell you right now.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: We might have another fun little hand-off situation if it doesn't start too close to being on time.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: They will get the winner of the eight nine game, which is either LSU or Georgia.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: Georgia, we obviously are very familiar with just from
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: couple of weekends ago coming into the field.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: They had the best rebound.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they could have asked for going home against Florida in the way that they handled business this past weekend.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then LSU, LSU has been fantastic in SEC play since that not a series victory, but a moral victory as far as getting off game against the Sooner's in Baton Rouge.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like that has kind of sparked them as they were so, so going into that.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: It seems that they've leveled out a little bit or played a much more consistent brand of softball.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: LSU battered Auburn this past
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: On one hand, not really in accomplishment, on the other hand, the offensive numbers that they did put up LSU certainly was something to raise your eyebrows at.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: What do you kind of make of this Georgia LSU matchup?
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think it could be the most intriguing matchup for Oklahoma when they finally were able to get underway on Thursday at the Lexington?
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, in my mind, it'd be LSU.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think LSU's top level pitching.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we saw them give Oklahoma problems down in Baton Rouge in the way that they were able to work.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: That line up there.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then you see what their offense was able to do.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, in the first game on Saturday, when they went 25, oh against Auburn, I know.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: Auburn, you know, not great this year and everything, but 25-0 is 25-0.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a long time since anybody scored that many points or that many runs.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: How to fire a few trees.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Again.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in an SEC game, so I think that to me would be the most intriguing, but I think if you're Oklahoma, certainly, I think you probably rather face Georgia, but I think either way you want that Georgia LSU gate to go about 52 innings.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, where people out on Wednesday night, but it'll be interesting, you know, we've already had some schedule machinations.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: For tomorrow Tuesday's first round games as they're expecting some weather in Lexington so we'll see if there's more of that coming down the pike and we'll have some more games pushback things like that.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I have a feeling it's going to be a late night on Thursday for the
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Good news.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I think a lot of Oklahoma fans will be up anyway if there's any crossover with the thunder happening some things like that.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe not the the worst thing in the world.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're kind of hoping that if they could just simply get.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: So Thursday without things getting shifted back too much, I think the weather clears up a little bit in Lexington, a little bit, I think it's like a 35% chance of rain on Saturday as of right.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I do not know if that's overnight, middle of the day, screw USCC, you're just gonna go another year without an SEC tournament.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what that thing's gonna look like.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: And as we know so much in this state, we can have a general idea what we think might happen on the weather front, but to predict it,
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: good luck.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to leave that to the weather crew.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: They are more accurate than I am, but my prediction is though, but that's an reflection on me, not them.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: We will see as far as that goes, as far as, oh, you side of the bracket, I hesitate to just like move a lot of chop forward just because you just look at what happened this past week in an SEC play as far as did you think that so like I don't know if Texas thought that they were going to
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: have the weekend that they did and still end up in the four spot like that kind of stuff left right sideways all of that.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: But technically the seeds on OU side if things go chalk on Thursday you'll have a four or five game for Tennessee and Texas or things go chalk on Wednesday four or five game Tennessee Texas on Thursday the winner of that gets the winner of Oklahoma Georgia LSU.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: And frankly, I don't think that anything can go wrong there Ryan, if you're telling me we're going to get a fourth edition of the Red River Ivory everyone around here says let's roll if you're telling me we get a first edition of owe you Tennessee in twenty twenty six.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: also awesome let's roll whatever kind of shakes out of the kind of similar with if Oklahoma takes care of this and goes all the way to Saturday you get to know you Bama sweet number one over I'll see in the tournament on the line you get an OU Florida sweet there's Oklahoma have revenge for last year's series in Gainesville if we get the gas so ballpark four I'm also doubted I feel like that's the beauty of the SEC is that
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's not really an uninteresting matchup possible as far as that goes because if you get something other than that, that means someone's made an incredible run through Lexington.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, you know, I think we'd be surprised, but I don't think anybody would be absolutely bold over if Ole Miss or South Carolina is able to put together a run considering, you know, South Carolina's been a top 25 team, a lot of the year Ole Miss is a team that's, you know, jumped up and bitten a couple teams.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just as Tennessee,
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: what they can do.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be a fascinating week, but I think it's going to it is going to surprise me if it's not either a Texas or Tennessee and yeah both of those would be fun matchups.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think just for entertainment purposes, I would rather see another OU Texas because we always, you know, you never know what Mike White's going to bring and, you know, especially the way that that last game down an Austin ended with the bat slam things like that.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: It would, I mean, it's always a fun environment when it's all your taxes, but would be pretty juiced there, but yeah, Tennessee would be fun.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be a really intriguing week, regardless with a lot of fantastic matchups.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's,
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: You look at on paper all the teams, so you understand, hey, there's going to be some really good teams that, you know, don't get the double buy, but, you know, Arkansas has been a top 10 team, most of the year, Texas and M's been right up there.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: Tennessee was a number one team at one point.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: and these are all teams that are playing on Wednesday before we even get into the top four seeds on Thursday.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: So should be a really fun week in Lexington.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just hope that the weather holds off.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_00]: I did Ryan look at the weather forecast for Lexington on Saturday and apparently the 20% chance of showers is during the day.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully, things will be cleared up by the evening time when I believe that in that game schedule for five, the championship game five Eastern there.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully, things will be clear there.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed for Tuesday and Wednesday that everything gets in alright.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then hopefully it will be smooth sailing.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: I would like to formally apologize to everyone if we have jinxed anything as far as the weather goes.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's our bath, that's ultimately our bath.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I was looking and we need to take this thing on tour.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oklahoma and Texas have played at neutral site games, but all in Oklahoma City, right?
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it be the Big Tell Tournament, the Women's College World Series,
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: not a matchup last year in the SEC tournament, which means I was scrolling.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the potential of Oklahoma and Texas matching up in some of the preseason tournaments, preseason events, that's usually pretty rare to see conference games in the non-conference portion of the season, obviously does.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was just a match in the thought of taking this out of your Texas on
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: letting the fine folks of Lexington experience just a little bit of, just like we know that the SEC is well, well, well, familiar with rivalries up and down rivalries in the SEC tournament, Nashville and Greenville, all that stuff.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be nice to finally take all you Texas on tour a little bit, be like, hey, these are two teams that just don't really care for each other and they're just going to do it out on a random Friday out here in Lexington America.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: I can't think of a better way to continue to usher in this like,
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: Also fitting that all you in Texas have come in, all you want the regular season, all you split the tournament last year, Texas was the national title, Oklahoma straight next to their ways and the regular season just be like, yeah, all you in Texas are playing for a spot and the answers you turn up it to be like, listen, this SEC thing's great, but all you in Texas softball has been the dominant force post COVID and it's gonna continue to be the dominant force.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: Without you caring, obviously, post that way.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no doubt about it.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, looking at the Texas OU series history, the last time they played a neutral site game that wasn't in Oklahoma City, way back in 2002 in Fortune, California, they played in Texas one, one to nothing.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: They've also played games in Columbus,
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the only times that OU and Texas have played outside of Oklahoma and Texas.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see if we get a different venue for that this time, but it would certainly be a great match up and certainly Texas is a team that really needs some more in the signature win category to bump up their potential seedings as their futures is taking a little bit of hit.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: over the last couple of weeks now we'll close here so something I did not think we would have to address but when you're talking RPI and then you move on to something pretty quickly I'm just going to try and give the booth to benefit of the doubt when the comment about Oklahoma being on the super regional like hosting teeter totter if you're only going by RPI
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan, poke on the ends of anything that's not a top three seed.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: Regardless of what happens this weekend, I don't know, I would be like stud.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that no one was even thinking that until those words were said, which again, I really hope was maybe a misunderstanding of their meant to say if you're only looking at RPI and nothing else, and then just never actually clarified.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: But either way, folks, I think Oklahoma's gonna be hosting the first and second weekends of the tournament in Norm.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that anyone's too worried about that.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no doubt about it.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw that and paused and was like, what the heck are they talking about?
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then looked at the graphic and got what they were saying there.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're talking on the fly there.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: You don't always get a chance to think about what you're saying before it actually comes out of your mouth.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they were trying to explain that in a way.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: And also probably the graphic is being made by somebody who doesn't understand.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: And you're having people who talk about it, who do understand on some level, but maybe it wasn't the most artfully prepared and shown and talked about on the broadcast.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that they got it understood that, hey, this is, it owe you team is certainly gonna be hosting there a super regional, but yes, their RPI would lend you to think that they're on the brink,
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's certainly many more teams that we could talk about that are actually on the brink of being in that conversation one where or another, but OU, breathe easy sooner fans.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be all right.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be, like you said, Ryan, a top three seed.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: When that thing comes out, it's just a matter of, are you going to be the one?
- 43:22[SPEAKER_00]: Or depending on how this weekend goes, is it going to be something different?
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: But they're going to be a really good position regardless.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you this.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: If they're the nine seed or lower, I'll just eat this Raiders hat live on YouTube or something like that, which famous last words.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, and speak it.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: You say people that just don't think for they spit, that's just me all the time, right?
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: That I don't have everything.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: Thinking is a verse to what I try to do here, which is okay.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now, it should be good, excited.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have to get the blanket out on Thursday night a little bit.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Get your favorite late night snack to watch the suitors and the thunder with, but it should be a really, really good weekend of softball.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: It was kind of weird.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still getting used to not being able to just go up the road to Devon Park, first to cover our conference tournament happenings.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: But that is ALK, especially with the product that's on the field every severe at the SEC.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: Turn it for us.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be back on Wednesday on the full generous on a side podcast recover everything.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: Here's just kind of our rough draft for the week.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: We're supposed to talk to Patty Gasseau and crew on Tuesday night as long as the travel schedule doesn't change or anything like that.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: So there's anything massive major breaking all that stuff.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: We'll cover it on Wednesday when we hit the softball portion of the program.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: And if that would just have some other straight thoughts and things like that, when we get to the softball side of life when it comes to Wednesday as far as the full
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even really have to hit the softball tab, because all of our softball stuff usually on the front page, we're running usually one to two softball stories a day, minimum this time of year, as far as that goes.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have full coverage, everything, Oklahoma's softball.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, as we have to have the entire season, but certainly as the postseason fires up, and we fire up the softball machine that much more.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you as always for everybody who tuned them.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: If you could,
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: If you enjoyed the show, share it with a friend who loves their early softball, if you hate the show, sorry, we'll try to do better next time, promise, we will.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: As far as that goes though, thank you to the great Ryan Aver for basically putting up with me as he does all this time.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back though on Wednesday here on the sooner's on SI podcast, whether it be on YouTube, just hit up YouTube's who's YouTube page John Hoover Media or we get your podcasts and we'll be talking to you.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: Who knows, maybe we'll throw in like a selection Sunday reaction after we get everything done and publish all that stuff because, you know, what else we're going to do?
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's up all season.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we do here.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: But until Wednesday for the big pot, big thanks to Abraham, Ryan Chapman, sign it up for you.
