- 0:14Speaker 2: AM six forty live everywhere on that their iHeartRadio app.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Happy Friday. It is July third. Tomorrow's the fourth of July.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Yay, two hundred.
- 0:26Speaker 2: And fifty years. I'm bummed that people aren't more excited
- 0:32Speaker 2: about it. And I get it. You know a lot
- 0:34Speaker 2: of people freaked out by the Orange Man, and that's fine.
- 0:37Speaker 2: But man, I go back to and if I didn't say,
- 0:42Speaker 2: Nil Sevader here with the Morning Crew, handle is off
- 0:45Speaker 2: today because he's the most American man in the world.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Sometimes I feel like he hates America that gave him
- 0:55Speaker 2: everything he could be in Brazil, who had even more
- 1:03Speaker 2: horrible slaves than America. Go figure, don't want to talk
- 1:10Speaker 2: about slavery. What I do want to talk about is,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I guess the whole thing America in a nutshell and
- 1:19Speaker 2: where we find ourselves today. I don't mean the soapbox,
- 1:23Speaker 2: but I will tell you I was talking to producer
- 1:26Speaker 2: in This Morning. My father was born in tu Larry, California,
- 1:33Speaker 2: to his parents who were here on a work visa
- 1:41Speaker 2: from Juantawato, Mexico. They were there in the fields. My grandfather,
- 1:49Speaker 2: i am told, had a background in education in geology
- 1:59Speaker 2: and so working in the fields and understanding the soil
- 2:04Speaker 2: and things like that, and my grandmother had children. Here
- 2:13Speaker 2: we go back. My brother Craig is the genealogist of
- 2:18Speaker 2: the family, and there is you know, apparently my dad
- 2:22Speaker 2: even had worked in the fields at one time, and
- 2:26Speaker 2: there were I remember very early on my dad was
- 2:31Speaker 2: a silk screener and designer when I was born, says
- 2:34Speaker 2: so on my birth certificate, which is crazy because that
- 2:38Speaker 2: was my first real job, was a designer at a
- 2:42Speaker 2: silk screen company, and I remember seeing the farm worker's
- 2:50Speaker 2: flag on the silk screens and the T shirts and
- 2:54Speaker 2: things like that. My dad was a proud Chicano, and
- 3:01Speaker 2: I remember him bringing me out to the front yard
- 3:07Speaker 2: with the flag on important days and putting it on
- 3:13Speaker 2: the house. He explained the importance to me of the
- 3:18Speaker 2: flag and the symbol. My dad was in the Navy,
- 3:22Speaker 2: but he didn't talk about that a lot. I saw
- 3:25Speaker 2: his uniform and there's pictures of him. He was dealt
- 3:30Speaker 2: with the radar and he always explained about the greatness
- 3:37Speaker 2: of America to me, and that was very powerful and
- 3:43Speaker 2: indelible to me and my life. Two when I bought
- 3:49Speaker 2: my first house with my wife, the first thing I
- 3:53Speaker 2: went out and did is by us a flag. The
- 3:58Speaker 2: thought of flying a flag on my home, my own home,
- 4:03Speaker 2: was a really cool moment. My wife and I were
- 4:10Speaker 2: together for ten years before Max was born, or now
- 4:14Speaker 2: nine year old son, and I was envisioned doing the
- 4:17Speaker 2: same thing, putting it up, explaining to him the importance
- 4:23Speaker 2: of that symbol of our freedom and what makes America great.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And I'm finding more and more that it's not only
- 4:36Speaker 2: faded with a lot of people, but it's taboo and
- 4:44Speaker 2: that bugs me. And We're going to get some news here.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I'm going to come back and I'm going to kind
- 4:51Speaker 2: of dump all these thoughts on you that I've been
- 4:54Speaker 2: having in my frustration with this and where I and
- 5:00Speaker 2: a lot of people go, oh, he's conservative and he's
- 5:03Speaker 2: a Republican. I'm not. I was at one time. Or
- 5:09Speaker 2: he's so liberal and he's a Democrat, I am not.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I don't belong to a party anymore, and I won't
- 5:16Speaker 2: belong to a party anymore. I think parties are for politicians,
- 5:22Speaker 2: they have to belong to a party because they're going
- 5:24Speaker 2: to need money from someone. But I think the rest
- 5:27Speaker 2: of us should vote, you know, our concerns and what's
- 5:31Speaker 2: best for the country, and that's not always going to
- 5:33Speaker 2: be one party, just isn't. It's a horrible system to
- 5:38Speaker 2: have a two party system. And the best we can
- 5:41Speaker 2: do with the two party system is if they work together.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And so that's where the problem lies. When we come back.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I'll explain a little bit more of this because I
- 5:50Speaker 2: just thought, man, I'm having these emotions and frustrations on
- 5:54Speaker 2: the two hundred and fiftieth birthday of the great experiment
- 5:59Speaker 2: that is the United States. So we'll talk more when
- 6:02Speaker 2: we come back. KY five Am, six forty Live everywhere
- 6:06Speaker 2: on the iHeartRadio app. Happy Friday, Ton You and Neil
- 6:09Speaker 2: Savador in the morning crew with you Handles got the
- 6:11Speaker 2: day off for the holiday. Tomorrow's the fourth and July. Ah.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I love this time of year. I'm a summer baby.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'm born. I'm I'm born one day from my mom
- 6:25Speaker 2: on July to eight. I do why it came out
- 6:30Speaker 2: that way. July twenty eighth is my birthday, I think
- 6:33Speaker 2: is what I was trying to say, So the summer
- 6:35Speaker 2: to me, you know, it always seems special, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: because my birthday was in that time. So the warmth
- 6:42Speaker 2: and all that stuff. I'm talking. I'm waxing on about
- 6:47Speaker 2: the American flag and everything that comes with it. To me,
- 6:53Speaker 2: the American flag, and you may feel different, but to me,
- 6:57Speaker 2: the American flag is a pride flag. To me, the
- 7:02Speaker 2: American flag is a black life matter flag, or should
- 7:07Speaker 2: be to be. It's a blue Lives Matter flag. To me,
- 7:12Speaker 2: it is our flag. That flag belongs to we the people,
- 7:20Speaker 2: and I fly that flag for all of those people,
- 7:24Speaker 2: the disenfranchised. I fly for anybody and everybody who walks
- 7:29Speaker 2: on this ground and calls themselves an American. We own
- 7:35Speaker 2: that flag. Washington doesn't own the flag. The politicians don't
- 7:40Speaker 2: own the flag. The right and the left certainly don't
- 7:44Speaker 2: own that flag. And we need to take it back.
- 7:49Speaker 2: We can still stay unified as the people of this country,
- 7:53Speaker 2: even if you don't like the president at the time.
- 7:58Speaker 2: And I hate that it's been co opted by the right,
- 8:04Speaker 2: or at least people feel that way. I don't. It's
- 8:08Speaker 2: my flag.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I don't think the right has co opted it. I
- 8:12Speaker 3: think the left thinks that the right has co opted it.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I think it's a combination. Actually, I think it's a
- 8:18Speaker 2: combination amy and I think it has to do with
- 8:20Speaker 2: the Christian right as well. I've said this as a
- 8:24Speaker 2: Christian myself. I'm not a fan, nor do I believe
- 8:28Speaker 2: I believe in dominionism or dominion theology. I don't believe.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I believe that I personally am guided by scripture. The
- 8:40Speaker 2: country is not. The country is guided by the Constitution. Handle,
- 8:44Speaker 2: and I got into it this week my first day back. Well,
- 8:49Speaker 2: that guy pisses me off sometimes because I love the
- 8:53Speaker 2: guy and I respect the hell out of him. Don't
- 8:55Speaker 2: get me wrong, he and I butt heads. We've known
- 8:57Speaker 2: each other for a long time. But I don't what
- 9:01Speaker 2: I get angry at with Handle sometimes is this lack
- 9:05Speaker 2: of fairness. One of the things I came to KFI
- 9:08Speaker 2: because of Handle. I loved his show and I find him.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I found him back then to be fair and call
- 9:15Speaker 2: balls and strikes, and I like that, not because he
- 9:17Speaker 2: was conservative or liberal. I don't care. I just want
- 9:21Speaker 2: people to think through things, think through ideas, and come
- 9:25Speaker 2: to good conclusions. And I always felt that about Handle,
- 9:31Speaker 2: and with it and then Trump came along and handled
- 9:34Speaker 2: change to me. And he has a wicked, wicked case
- 9:41Speaker 2: of TDS, if you ask me. And I don't throw
- 9:45Speaker 2: that around lightly because it's kind of a punchline or
- 9:47Speaker 2: a pejorative, but I really think that he doesn't think
- 9:52Speaker 2: clear when it comes to Trump. And it's not that
- 9:55Speaker 2: Trump's a great guy. I don't like the guy either,
- 9:58Speaker 2: but I don't think it's fair to not look at
- 10:01Speaker 2: both sides and say this is where the problem lie.
- 10:04Speaker 2: And I guess what I wanted to tell you today
- 10:06Speaker 2: is don't give the flag to anybody. That's your flag.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And I see this now more than ever, is that
- 10:15Speaker 2: people are and I don't see quite honestly, I don't
- 10:19Speaker 2: see the right doing this. I'm sorry, but I don't
- 10:21Speaker 2: I see the left doing this. And that is in California.
- 10:25Speaker 2: If they don't like the president the president is a
- 10:28Speaker 2: Republican in office, they fly the California flag. I don't
- 10:33Speaker 2: know if you noticed this, Amy, we live in a
- 10:34Speaker 2: similar area, but you'll find them flying the California flag
- 10:39Speaker 2: and not the American flag when there's a Republican in office.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Interesting, I haven't noticed that I have seen the American
- 10:47Speaker 3: flag upside down in my neighborhood.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah. That's another thing, is like, it's our flag. We
- 10:55Speaker 2: the people are more important than who's ever whoever is
- 10:58Speaker 2: in office, and we have to stand for that. We
- 11:03Speaker 2: have to apply that to our lives. We fly the
- 11:06Speaker 2: flag because we're an American and we the people want
- 11:10Speaker 2: the best for our country, not as some pouty snide
- 11:16Speaker 2: remark to whether you like the president or not. And
- 11:20Speaker 2: that flag must be We don't need a thousand flags
- 11:23Speaker 2: to say this is for my people, or this is
- 11:26Speaker 2: for my are our you know, the sexual, sexual orientation
- 11:30Speaker 2: or whatever. I see that flag as all those flags,
- 11:34Speaker 2: it has to be. If it's not those flags, then
- 11:37Speaker 2: we're we We all have lost. If not united, we fall,
- 11:43Speaker 2: and if not for we the people, none of it matters.
- 11:48Speaker 2: And you can't say, well, you know, I love this
- 11:52Speaker 2: when people are like, well, that says that in the Constitution.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And then when it comes to you know, and then
- 11:59Speaker 2: you'll hear people freak out, well Trump's trying to change
- 12:02Speaker 2: the Constitution. And and then you get somebody talking about
- 12:06Speaker 2: the Second Amendment and they go, oh, we should ban
- 12:08Speaker 2: all this. It's like, well, that's in the Constitution too. Yeah,
- 12:15Speaker 2: I just this picking and choosing and looking at all
- 12:20Speaker 2: these things differently is the same as somebody who when
- 12:23Speaker 2: they speed on the freeways because they've got somewhere to go,
- 12:26Speaker 2: but when the other guy speeds, oh, they're an idiot
- 12:28Speaker 2: and they're reckless. I can't stand people that do those things.
- 12:32Speaker 2: It's like, look at it all on a level playing
- 12:35Speaker 2: field and say that's not right no matter who does it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: If you're just going are r R R R when
- 12:43Speaker 2: you vote or d D D D D when you vote,
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're an idiot. I'm sorry. That's not a smart way
- 12:49Speaker 2: to do it. In in a in the game of chess,
- 12:52Speaker 2: you have many different playable uh icons on the board,
- 12:59Speaker 2: and those piece is do different things for different reasons.
- 13:03Speaker 2: It's to build strategy, and sometimes your strategy in voting
- 13:07Speaker 2: is to put the right party in at the right
- 13:10Speaker 2: time to fit that need. They do two different things.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It's almost like a mom and dad. I'm sorry to
- 13:17Speaker 2: say that, but it is. You've got you know one.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Often you've got the right that does things intellectually and
- 13:27Speaker 2: pretends it's emotional, and then you've got the left that
- 13:30Speaker 2: does emotional things and pretends it's intellectual. And they all
- 13:33Speaker 2: get screwed up. They all have a place, but it
- 13:36Speaker 2: will only work, only work. And we're seeing this in
- 13:39Speaker 2: California the most because in California we've been a one
- 13:46Speaker 2: party rule for so long. We have massive crap and problems,
- 13:52Speaker 2: I think more so than the country, and yet we
- 13:58Speaker 2: go just keep voting your part. Take back the flag.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It is your flag. It's not the Orange Man's flag.
- 14:06Speaker 2: It's not the president's flag. It's not any president's flag.
- 14:10Speaker 2: It's not Washington, DC's flag. It's not the Republican flag,
- 14:14Speaker 2: it's not the Democrat flag, it's not the Christian flag.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It is our flag. And if you don't fly it
- 14:23Speaker 2: because you think people are going to think you're a
- 14:25Speaker 2: Republican or a Christian or any of those other things,
- 14:28Speaker 2: I just can't find it in my head to understand
- 14:31Speaker 2: that as reasonable. More to come. On the day before
- 14:35Speaker 2: Independence Day, two hundred and fifty, Neil Savedra in with
- 14:39Speaker 2: the Morning Team. We'll be back with Morlan. You're listening
- 14:43Speaker 2: to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM six forty,
- 14:51Speaker 2: KFI AM six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Hey everybody, it's Neil Savedra. And the morning true. Today
- 15:01Speaker 2: we've got say I'm in for Kono, but Amy is here,
- 15:07Speaker 2: Will is here, and of course Anne is here. The
- 15:10Speaker 2: gang's all here. The day before the fourth of July
- 15:14Speaker 2: two hundredth and two hundred and fiftieth birthday and a Neil.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody weighed in on the talk back and they
- 15:22Speaker 3: had a good point. They said, why are you called
- 15:23Speaker 3: the fourth of July? Well, it is the fourth of July.
- 15:25Speaker 3: But they said you should say it's Independence Day because
- 15:27Speaker 3: that's really what it is.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I did say no, I said both. I said Independence
- 15:31Speaker 2: Day was the first thing because I tripped up on it.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Gotcha you remember I went, oh, I got Amy Amy.
- 15:38Speaker 3: King disease today.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it is Independence Day. Yeah, I called point.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I call Easter resurrection Sunday for the same person, you know,
- 15:47Speaker 2: because everybody says Easter. I go, well, it's a resurrection Sunday.
- 15:50Speaker 2: It's kind of more to it than that.
- 15:52Speaker 3: What do you call Christmas?
- 15:53Speaker 2: I get that Jesus Day? I go, baby Baby Days's birthday.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Hey are close to God like the big eyelashes. Jesus
- 16:05Speaker 2: loves you. So yeah, I you know, it's funny the
- 16:11Speaker 2: people I have said this before, and I will say
- 16:15Speaker 2: it again because that's what we do in talk radio,
- 16:18Speaker 2: and that is people don't listen anymore. They listen with
- 16:21Speaker 2: their triggers. They're waiting for you to say something to
- 16:25Speaker 2: offend them. And I'll and I'm going to tell you
- 16:28Speaker 2: what my my belief is on offending people. I don't care.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I believe that you have the right to offend. You
- 16:39Speaker 2: don't have the right to confuse. So as long as
- 16:43Speaker 2: I explain why I believe what I believe, then whether
- 16:46Speaker 2: it defends you or not is not my problem because
- 16:49Speaker 2: I doesn't matter what I say. If I say Jesus's Lord,
- 16:52Speaker 2: someone's going to get pissed off. If I say Jesus
- 16:55Speaker 2: isn't Lord, someone's going to get pissed off. So I
- 16:57Speaker 2: can't worry about offending people because that's you. You're the
- 17:00Speaker 2: one offended. That's But what I don't want to do
- 17:04Speaker 2: is ever confuse. I want to explain myself. So it's
- 17:07Speaker 2: funny how some people go, oh, you're always defending the right. Well,
- 17:11Speaker 2: it may come off that way, and I'll tell you why,
- 17:15Speaker 2: because Handel as he's as he is matured, is just
- 17:23Speaker 2: plain bashing them sometimes and that bugs me because I
- 17:27Speaker 2: don't think anyone owns the truth on either side. I
- 17:32Speaker 2: think they're both filled with idiots. And I try and
- 17:35Speaker 2: go by the person and who they are versus the
- 17:43Speaker 2: R or the dre Here. Someone once said told me, Yo,
- 17:47Speaker 2: you don't like talking about politics. I said, no, I do.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Nobody talks about politics. People talk about politicians. I don't
- 17:55Speaker 2: give a rat's ass about that. I give. I'm cureious
- 18:00Speaker 2: about the system, the way the system works, how you
- 18:03Speaker 2: can parse it, how's the best way to use a
- 18:05Speaker 2: two party system? Because it is it is flawed inherently
- 18:13Speaker 2: because when you have two parties, the assumption is one's
- 18:17Speaker 2: going to be right and one's going to be wrong.
- 18:19Speaker 2: It's never they're both wrong, or they both have a
- 18:23Speaker 2: good idea, which is the one that scales best every system.
- 18:29Speaker 2: There are thirty three plus different government systems out there
- 18:35Speaker 2: roughly that the countries choose from. I would say, even dictatorship,
- 18:45Speaker 2: I would say they all have benefits. I would say
- 18:48Speaker 2: the vast majority of majority of them are good on paper.
- 18:54Speaker 2: At home, I'm a socialist, absolutely all for one and
- 18:59Speaker 2: one for all. In my home, you go larger to
- 19:03Speaker 2: my larger family. I'm a communist. If there's something needed, yeah,
- 19:09Speaker 2: you do what you need to do. It's for the
- 19:12Speaker 2: greater good. But in my life beyond that, I'm a
- 19:16Speaker 2: capitalist because opportunity I think brings new ideas, invention, and
- 19:23Speaker 2: I think it scales the best. We have outscaled capitalism
- 19:28Speaker 2: right now, because once you start going to other countries
- 19:32Speaker 2: and buying their goods and not producing things on your
- 19:36Speaker 2: own and doing then capitalism breaks down. So we are
- 19:39Speaker 2: at peak scale with capitalism unless we find a way
- 19:43Speaker 2: to fix that. That doesn't mean it's not a great system.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I believe it's the best of all the systems because
- 19:50Speaker 2: of the fact that it is scalable. Socialism is not scalable.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Think about the socialistic parts of the United States Insurance
- 19:59Speaker 2: Company social Security. They become a Ponzi scheme eventually, and
- 20:06Speaker 2: now you get crappy service. Our medicine is great, our
- 20:11Speaker 2: insurance is what's bad. So I like to look at
- 20:14Speaker 2: the parts of what politics encompasses. But nobody wants to
- 20:20Speaker 2: talk about that. They don't want to talk about philosophies, ideas,
- 20:24Speaker 2: systems that work and that are scalable. They want to
- 20:26Speaker 2: talk about politicians and who cares politicians change. What you
- 20:32Speaker 2: need is to look at a big picture, play the
- 20:34Speaker 2: entire chessboard. You got a king and a queen and people,
- 20:38Speaker 2: that's all they want to play with, and they say
- 20:40Speaker 2: this is you know this, and this is that. You
- 20:43Speaker 2: know when you get people together at a sporting event,
- 20:48Speaker 2: you know how many bad things happen in fights and
- 20:50Speaker 2: things like that because you're rooting for the wrong team.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Could you imagine if there wasn't an NFL, are, a
- 21:01Speaker 2: National Baseball League, or any of these things, they each
- 21:04Speaker 2: had two teams, that's it, one on the East coast
- 21:10Speaker 2: and one on the West coast. You know how much
- 21:12Speaker 2: more violent things would be because now you're parsing the
- 21:17Speaker 2: country in a half and saying we're right and you're
- 21:21Speaker 2: wrong because you believe that and that's what we've done.
- 21:24Speaker 2: And that's where the assumption of right and wrong. You know,
- 21:29Speaker 2: when I was a designer, I never ever gave a
- 21:35Speaker 2: client two options. I always gave them three. If I
- 21:41Speaker 2: gave them three options, they'd like one. If I gave
- 21:44Speaker 2: them two options, they'd want more. Sometimes they'd go three, four, five, six.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But you give someone three options, that's a nice safe
- 21:53Speaker 2: way to make somebody feel like they've got a good choice.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It's very weird the way we work and to get
- 22:03Speaker 2: to the place where we are now, where we say
- 22:06Speaker 2: it's a light switch, it's on or off, is not
- 22:09Speaker 2: going to do it. It's just it's never going to work.
- 22:12Speaker 2: And you can pout all you want the other side's evil,
- 22:15Speaker 2: but they're not. Democrats don't want to destroy America. They
- 22:21Speaker 2: want to make America great, the same as maga hats,
- 22:26Speaker 2: just differently. They are seeing the problem from a different angle.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong, just like Republicans. But
- 22:39Speaker 2: you can't do that when your head's up the ass
- 22:41Speaker 2: of a particular party, you will not see the benefits
- 22:46Speaker 2: of someone else. And it's strange to me that you
- 22:49Speaker 2: can get like on the right with family values saying
- 22:52Speaker 2: you need a mother and a father, but they can't
- 22:55Speaker 2: see that you need a left and right. These are
- 22:59Speaker 2: the things that I'm talking about. And if it's too
- 23:01Speaker 2: complex for talk radio, I apologize. I'll start screaming about
- 23:05Speaker 2: one side being the problem, but I don't see things
- 23:08Speaker 2: that way. Kay. Bye, Am six forty Live everywhere on
- 23:12Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app. Hey, Happy Friday to you. Neil Savedra
- 23:15Speaker 2: in the morning crew here today, Handles got the day
- 23:18Speaker 2: off and we'll be back with you on Monday together
- 23:23Speaker 2: as one big, happy family. Today however, I mean everybody's
- 23:29Speaker 2: off for the holiday. They think it's because of the
- 23:32Speaker 2: day before Independence Day tomorrow, but it's actually Shannon Farren's birthday,
- 23:38Speaker 2: So there's that. AnyWho, Back to the show, shall we go?
- 23:47Speaker 2: Just talking kind of off the cuff about some of
- 23:51Speaker 2: the things going on in my mind, about just standing
- 23:56Speaker 2: up for America as a whole, not the right and left,
- 23:59Speaker 2: and so hard when you try and explain these things
- 24:02Speaker 2: to people, because people want to lock sides. So you
- 24:06Speaker 2: believe in an abortion then, or you do this, or
- 24:09Speaker 2: you want kids to mutilate themselves at a young age.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Well no, I don't want any of those things. That
- 24:17Speaker 2: sounds horrible to me. However, I am bound by two things.
- 24:22Speaker 2: As a Christian, I am bound by the Bible, that's
- 24:26Speaker 2: my belief system. As an American, I am bound by
- 24:30Speaker 2: the Constitution. I don't want to ever confuse the two.
- 24:35Speaker 2: This government should not be should not be guided by Christianity.
- 24:42Speaker 2: We are not a theocracy, nor should we be. There
- 24:46Speaker 2: are Christian roots to America. Absolutely, we are a culturally
- 24:51Speaker 2: Christian nation, absolutely, without a doubt. But we're not in
- 24:57Speaker 2: a Christian nation the way some would say. Trust me,
- 25:01Speaker 2: I've been to Muslim nations. It's a Muslim nation when
- 25:06Speaker 2: they wake your ass up at four or five in
- 25:08Speaker 2: the morning to pray. And I don't mean, you know, hey,
- 25:15Speaker 2: don't forget to they wake your ass up in the morning,
- 25:19Speaker 2: be everywhere to pray. That's a Muslim. No one's waking
- 25:24Speaker 2: me up at five in the morning to pray to
- 25:26Speaker 2: Jesus with a bullhorn or whatever. You know, that's that's
- 25:30Speaker 2: a whole different thing. So in America, people have the
- 25:35Speaker 2: rights based on the Constitution, not scripture. So yes, I
- 25:40Speaker 2: do separate those things. I unless doctors come out and
- 25:45Speaker 2: say this is what abortion is and it's a problem,
- 25:51Speaker 2: then it's not. I don't get a say in it.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I don't get to say what my beliefs are because
- 26:00Speaker 2: protecting the rights of Americans in America is more important
- 26:05Speaker 2: for everyone that aren't Christians, and they shouldn't be bound
- 26:08Speaker 2: by my beliefs or my laws of faith any more
- 26:13Speaker 2: than you want to be bound by Sharia lah or
- 26:16Speaker 2: anything else. So, yes, as a Christian, there may be
- 26:21Speaker 2: things that bother me, but a as an American, I
- 26:28Speaker 2: want people to have the freedoms that they are given
- 26:31Speaker 2: in the Constitution, not in my belief system. You know,
- 26:37Speaker 2: Primarily the judging that goes on in Scripture is for
- 26:41Speaker 2: other believers. It's not for those that don't believe any
- 26:45Speaker 2: more than Russia should tell us how to live here
- 26:47Speaker 2: in the United States because that's their laws. And people
- 26:51Speaker 2: get that confused. And no, we're you're supposed to be
- 26:53Speaker 2: judging everybody and pointing out all their garbage. No, you're
- 26:56Speaker 2: supposed to be a light and you're supposed to be
- 26:58Speaker 2: a guide by living in a way that people ask
- 27:01Speaker 2: you about the hope that lies within you. So it's
- 27:07Speaker 2: I know, it's much easier to just completely barrel over
- 27:11Speaker 2: with a big brush on everything, which is what talk
- 27:14Speaker 2: radio tends to do. And I'm sorry, if we're going
- 27:19Speaker 2: a little deeper than most, it'd be easier. I get
- 27:22Speaker 2: it for you. If I just said I'm this side,
- 27:25Speaker 2: you're on that side, you suck. I'm smart by but
- 27:30Speaker 2: these are the things where we are highly you know,
- 27:33Speaker 2: have problems. Do I want kids to make decisions under
- 27:39Speaker 2: the age of eighteen about being trans and cutting up
- 27:46Speaker 2: their bodies. No. But on the flip side, I'm circumcised. Circumcised,
- 27:53Speaker 2: and no one asked me as well, And that comes
- 27:58Speaker 2: from a religious placece initially, and also the thought in America,
- 28:06Speaker 2: a place of freedom and liberty, that some child or
- 28:14Speaker 2: some person is locked in a prison and they're not
- 28:20Speaker 2: free to be who they are is also equally as horrific.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Will I ever say that kids should be allowed to
- 28:31Speaker 2: have a sexual transitioning surgery? No, I don't find that
- 28:36Speaker 2: to be logical or reasonable, but should do? Would I
- 28:39Speaker 2: ever say that someone can't live who they are as
- 28:41Speaker 2: an adult? Absolutely not. So these are things that need
- 28:46Speaker 2: to be thought out instead of just reacted to emotionally
- 28:49Speaker 2: because somebody there's a need somewhere for somebody to have
- 28:55Speaker 2: a freedom that may not pertain to you, but it's
- 28:58Speaker 2: their right as an America to have that freedom too.
- 29:01Speaker 2: That's how much I believe in we the people, and
- 29:04Speaker 2: in the great experiment that is the United States of America,
- 29:10Speaker 2: not just your freedoms anymore than you know. The First
- 29:14Speaker 2: Amendment covers speech you like. And that's why so I
- 29:19Speaker 2: do separate those I lived my life, hopefully not as
- 29:24Speaker 2: close as I should based on scripture. But as an American,
- 29:28Speaker 2: I make decisions based on the Constitution and laws therein,
- 29:32Speaker 2: not on the Bible. That's my belief system, not everybody else's,
- 29:38Speaker 2: all right. What a special guest coming up, Bob Gerr
- 29:41Speaker 2: and Frank Woodward. He's a director, a great, a really
