- 0:50Speaker 1: Good morning to you. And I am not Michael Jordan's son.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I am not Michael Jordan's son. So I guess you
- 1:01Speaker 1: will have to let me go because I'm not Michael
- 1:05Speaker 1: Jordan's son. But if you are, you might've got some
- 1:08Speaker 1: handcuffs the other day and take it down to the precinct.
- 1:12Speaker 1: They still calling the precinct only on TV. You sure
- 1:18Speaker 1: you've been there, you've been there lately?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Okay, they'll call jail too. I haven't. I haven't been
- 1:25Speaker 2: there lately.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Michael Marcus Jordan, uh and and y'all get off of Marcus,
- 1:32Speaker 1: if you had a notable parent too, and you were
- 1:35Speaker 1: actually drunk, that might be the first thing out of
- 1:37Speaker 1: your mouth as well. Just imagine some of the stories
- 1:42Speaker 1: if all d UI cases were magnified. Some of y'all
- 1:47Speaker 1: are just getting off the hook and pouring fingers at Marcus.
- 1:51Speaker 1: But some of the debauchery, some of the incidents that
- 1:55Speaker 1: really could be told if they all were put up,
- 1:59Speaker 1: you know, just put up notable people. And then the
- 2:02Speaker 1: people that aren't put up, like you know, they don't
- 2:08Speaker 1: want to talk about that night they got.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Mister Johnson young man.
- 2:12Speaker 3: You know, Judge Curtis, You know, Judge Curtis.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I'm saying my fraternity bro.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You know, you know, Judge Curtis.
- 2:23Speaker 2: But the Super Bowl weekend is here.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Uh, finally we are inching towards Sunday night at six thirty,
- 2:32Speaker 1: when the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will
- 2:36Speaker 1: do battle in the Super Bowl again to see if
- 2:39Speaker 1: the cheese steak can beat the Bobby c down in
- 2:43Speaker 1: New Orleans.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Ticket prices, from what I'm hearing.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Is plummeting.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Oh so if you want to go, you might be.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I was talking about last night at the Hawk's game,
- 2:53Speaker 1: Hawks play Spurs last night, Victor women Yamba the Aaron
- 2:57Speaker 1: Fox in the Big Trade. The other day he was
- 3:00Speaker 1: on the court, scored about twenty four to twenty five women.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Yama even sent the guys a picture. H tallest basketball
- 3:08Speaker 1: player I've seen on a court, and not just tall,
- 3:12Speaker 1: long everything is long, fingers, arms, only twenty years old.
- 3:17Speaker 1: But a great game went down to the last shot
- 3:20Speaker 1: in the game, Hawks came storming back. Great crowd, sell
- 3:25Speaker 1: out crowd in there as well. Doctor J in the building.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Always good to see Doctor J in the building because
- 3:30Speaker 1: he as soon as I see him, I think about
- 3:33Speaker 1: when pimping was legal.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Wait, as he existed in a time where it actually
- 3:39Speaker 3: was legal to pimp. As my uncle's called it, the
- 3:43Speaker 3: good old day.
- 3:44Speaker 1: If you talk to your uncle, your dad was there
- 3:47Speaker 1: was a time in our society pimping was legal.
- 3:50Speaker 2: They made movies about it, They.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Had songs, all the all the songs about pimping had
- 3:57Speaker 3: that And every time I the Doctor H, I just
- 4:03Speaker 3: that's the first music starts to play, seeing like he
- 4:06Speaker 3: does has.
- 4:06Speaker 1: His own theme music when he walk in and he's
- 4:10Speaker 1: just an ambassador of basketball and everybody applause him. But
- 4:13Speaker 1: when I see him. My first dog is man pimping.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Legal pimping days are over? Yeah, yeah, they you could
- 4:22Speaker 1: just gather and pimp. Hey, this is interesting, doctor j
- 4:27Speaker 1: Donald Trump, Quincy Jones, and and you the jazz bar.
- 4:35Speaker 3: At you at Hugh Heavener's grotto. Yeah, at the jazz bar.
- 4:39Speaker 3: That would be even funnier. I'm sure it had to
- 4:46Speaker 3: turn into code for something, because after that night, they
- 4:49Speaker 3: wouldn't allow him to do it in public anymore.
- 4:53Speaker 2: When they wanted to do that thing again, they just go, hey, man,
- 4:56Speaker 2: jazz bar tonight.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Okay, legalized, but it was a great game last night.
- 5:01Speaker 1: The Hawks take on the Bucks on Friday, but in
- 5:06Speaker 1: New Orleans this game will take place. Ticket prices some
- 5:11Speaker 1: of the guys were talking about and I told them.
- 5:13Speaker 1: They asked me, why did I think? And I told
- 5:15Speaker 1: them it could be you sometimes forget and I know
- 5:21Speaker 1: a good two well, a third of the stadium it's corporate. Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 1: so a good third of the stadium is just and
- 5:31Speaker 1: that's been at and T but like it's the big
- 5:34Speaker 1: companies that have, you know, given tickets to their employees.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So you imagine a good third of the tickets there.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Another third is the looky loose, the people that can
- 5:47Speaker 1: just waste the money want to be on the scene.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Then you give a third to the fans. And I'm
- 5:51Speaker 1: not this is not documented, just throwing it out there.
- 5:54Speaker 1: It's kind of And then you sit there you think
- 5:58Speaker 1: with the Chiefs, their fans and base are closer to
- 6:02Speaker 1: a blue collar workers you know that region. Just talking
- 6:06Speaker 1: about the region, I don't know that the money there
- 6:08Speaker 1: could be some oil money from there, but I'm just
- 6:10Speaker 1: saying that the personalities even of the people that they
- 6:13Speaker 1: show that represents. If you've ever been to Kansas City,
- 6:16Speaker 1: it's more of a blue collar town. And you talk
- 6:19Speaker 1: about the cost of having to go to all these
- 6:23Speaker 1: Super Bowls consistently, yeah, it's not in that household because.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I went to one. I went to one, and we
- 6:36Speaker 2: had saved up if it ever happened.
- 6:38Speaker 3: And now number three, Hey, look now.
- 6:44Speaker 1: We can we can make it to New Orleans. Yeah
- 6:46Speaker 1: we can get make it game, but we can't get
- 6:49Speaker 1: the game no more.
- 6:51Speaker 3: And we're gonna be wearing Super Bowl The first Super
- 6:53Speaker 3: Bowls Jerseys where New Orleans.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And that's sometimes why you know, the Buffalo wild wind
- 7:00Speaker 1: mindset does pull for like a Buffalo, because that whole
- 7:05Speaker 1: fan base or that new fan base will rush, rush, rush,
- 7:09Speaker 1: because remember they haven't been in a while. They are rushed.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Now you take them four five, then it starts becoming
- 7:17Speaker 1: the economics of the city. Yeah, you know, yeah I
- 7:20Speaker 1: had the first two years. We went on and got
- 7:22Speaker 1: a mortgage for the tickets.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Now they talking about they's eighteen percent.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Interest, So we're gonna just have to go down.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And but but let the Dolphins of the rams go
- 7:33Speaker 3: and the places fresh new.
- 7:36Speaker 8: And you remember just recently the Kansas City had a
- 7:39Speaker 8: fan superfan that was arrested for Hey see Robin Banks
- 7:43Speaker 8: and stuff.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but what does that have to do with this.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I know we have that information, and I know when
- 7:48Speaker 1: I was talking about them, you wanted to throw that
- 7:51Speaker 1: What does that.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Have to do because you said that the fans some
- 7:55Speaker 3: household people were cross examining you, and yeah, man, I
- 8:00Speaker 3: just said the man he made an effort to be
- 8:02Speaker 3: able to go to the game.
- 8:03Speaker 2: He would he did what he had to do.
- 8:05Speaker 1: What does Robin Banks have to do with the He
- 8:09Speaker 1: was robbing banks to go to the game.
- 8:10Speaker 8: He was cool, he said he was on the Kansas
- 8:13Speaker 8: City fan that's what he when they did the special Homy.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah early, huh, it's just early. But the super Bowl
- 8:27Speaker 1: is finally here. I'll be glad when it happens. As
- 8:30Speaker 1: I said, I don't get to watch a lot of
- 8:33Speaker 1: Sports Center or any other sports shows because it's just
- 8:37Speaker 1: so many times you can keep trying to break down
- 8:41Speaker 1: how Nick sare, Yannie, what he's gonna do, how many
- 8:44Speaker 1: questions you're going to ask him. It's most likely going
- 8:47Speaker 1: to look very similar to what you saw the last
- 8:51Speaker 1: six months. That's what's gonna look like, some version of
- 8:55Speaker 1: that with a trick play. But at some point, you
- 8:58Speaker 1: are what you are. You don't changed much in two weeks.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Now.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You get a little here or there that they haven't
- 9:05Speaker 1: seen something you saw on tape that another team did
- 9:07Speaker 1: to them, and you try to put that in. If
- 9:09Speaker 1: you have that personnel, you try to put that in.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You practice a little more of the push push, and
- 9:18Speaker 1: but uh, ninety nine percent of what you're gonna do,
- 9:22Speaker 1: we've seen not an order in which you do it.
- 9:24Speaker 3: We don't know right right, but still switch it's still
- 9:28Speaker 3: gonna be nineties R and B. We're still gonna give it.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And hope he do that thing.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Oh, he'll probably do the thing.
- 9:35Speaker 3: I'm sure he said he would, right, Yeah, that's the
- 9:38Speaker 3: thing where we get him out on the edge, and.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That's that's how it sounds coming up through all Right.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Now, we're gonna do the Saquon Barkley where you give
- 9:46Speaker 3: him the ball and he does that thing.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I want you to know we already got our picks
- 9:50Speaker 1: in already. I don't have to worry about the show
- 9:54Speaker 1: swinging nobody. Everybody is already decided who they're rolling with.
- 9:59Speaker 1: That why I got it early. I didn't want you
- 10:01Speaker 1: to do it on air. We'll do it later in
- 10:02Speaker 1: the show, but I didn't want to be talking in
- 10:05Speaker 1: the next two hours because that's how we are the society.
- 10:07Speaker 1: We get influenced. We come in with one thought and
- 10:12Speaker 1: give us an hour and we on to the next.
- 10:14Speaker 2: So this is it the other guy, and.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I'm that other part of society that might have a
- 10:22Speaker 3: bad idea but refuses to be influenced. So I'm gonna
- 10:25Speaker 3: just roll with the bad idea, you know what I mean.
- 10:28Speaker 3: There's a there's I'm sure there's a balance, sports jock.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'm looking for that. I'm looking for that.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But we're gonna have a I mean, with the NBA
- 10:37Speaker 1: trades that happened last night, that was a lot of
- 10:40Speaker 1: the buzz around the arena as well with Jimmy Butler
- 10:46Speaker 1: being moved that we got to talk about. One question
- 10:49Speaker 1: put on your mind is Eli Manning Hall of Famer.
- 10:54Speaker 1: This year's Hall of Fame class will be announced I
- 10:57Speaker 1: think tomorrow or Sarah morning, one of those days. I'm
- 11:03Speaker 1: bringing that up because my good friend Willie Anderson, he
- 11:06Speaker 1: hit me last night and for the seventh year he's
- 11:09Speaker 1: come up short in that. And he was even informed
- 11:12Speaker 1: me that that hasn't been a right tackle he played
- 11:17Speaker 1: right offensive line inducted in the NFL Hall of Fame
- 11:22Speaker 1: since my great friend Jackie Slater in two thousand and one.
- 11:27Speaker 1: They haven't been a right tackle. And I told him
- 11:29Speaker 1: it's just a I guess that's our position. Make you
- 11:34Speaker 1: so so much team based because we play the one
- 11:37Speaker 1: position on the field that regardless of level pee wee,
- 11:41Speaker 1: high school, college or pro that just is not a
- 11:48Speaker 1: position that Garners awards. It's just not something it's never
- 11:56Speaker 1: going to be.
- 11:56Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It's once in a hundred years that an old line
- 11:59Speaker 1: was even in the Heisman that kind of thing, like
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's just not you're most likely not you can be
- 12:05Speaker 1: the best player on your high school team, but not
- 12:07Speaker 1: getting the player of the year. Nobody knows. They're gonna
- 12:10Speaker 1: give it to someone who has some stats, the guy
- 12:14Speaker 1: that can get twenty five sacks or the guy that
- 12:16Speaker 1: rushed for twenty five touchdowns, regardless of who is the
- 12:19Speaker 1: better player, it's stats are easier to see. We'll be
- 12:23Speaker 1: back with more the Sports Jock Show right after that.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Holy be checking up on you.
- 12:29Speaker 9: But if he knew you got a lot of freaking you, baby,
- 12:34Speaker 9: it's starting to rain to pop the roof in the champagne.
- 12:37Speaker 9: How Jason money in the day, He's to close to
- 12:40Speaker 9: few something even impossible.
- 12:41Speaker 2: But it's been between me and you, baby, John Boy.
- 12:46Speaker 10: Wayne Born of The Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dandy

- 16:31Speaker 1: happens every four years, the Super Bowl maybe and command you.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Greg is a statisian there over there, so stat what
- 16:40Speaker 1: is the little person? Statistician? Is that?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Is that the courtroom lady?
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Oh, as I call the oh nosy witch.
- 16:51Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. That's what I call her.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Ah wait, writing something down? Why are you a big
- 16:56Speaker 3: She's just making sure I see that's my point. No, no, sir,
- 17:01Speaker 3: you said it was ten forty five. Now I said
- 17:03Speaker 3: it was leven forty two. And what do you stake
- 17:06Speaker 3: course to knock for it was ten forty five. Strike
- 17:08Speaker 3: that you messed up, don't you strike that?
- 17:11Speaker 1: So you said she'd be snitching. Snitching, that's a job
- 17:16Speaker 1: in Kenny.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Oh document face whatever, whatever.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Oh well, the Chiefs and the Eagles doing battle. Patrick
- 17:26Speaker 1: Mahomes Jalen Hurts once again, gonna face off the defense
- 17:30Speaker 1: of Philly, as we call him around here, the Georgia
- 17:33Speaker 1: Bulldog defense. We'll get to work. They have about six
- 17:39Speaker 1: starters over there on defense right in Georgia.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all went in the first round, didn't
- 17:44Speaker 3: They didn't three four They got like.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Three d linemen.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah, in one year.
- 17:52Speaker 8: Called it the s the Philadelphia Eagles just the sec
- 17:54Speaker 8: period because if you the offense and the defense and
- 17:58Speaker 8: the whole team is.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Speaking of that, you see Auburn's basketball is we talked
- 18:03Speaker 1: about that?
- 18:05Speaker 2: I think you did, Like for the whole week you've
- 18:07Speaker 2: been saying no.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Actually, since they became number one, you you be just
- 18:12Speaker 3: calling in the middle of the day the Dinni's appointment.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Hold on, I need to take this.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Hello, Hey, did you know that Auburn basketball Yeah, all right,
- 18:22Speaker 3: all right, okay, poor.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Eagle to my Auburn basketball team. But the Eagles Chiefs
- 18:32Speaker 1: can't wait to see that game on a Sunday. The
- 18:36Speaker 1: big news here in the last couple hours is the
- 18:39Speaker 1: big trade we talked about, Luca headed to l A.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I don't get the whole thing because they keep reporting
- 18:46Speaker 1: it like Luca was traded to the Lakers for a
- 18:51Speaker 1: washing machine. They literally be talking about it like Anthony
- 18:57Speaker 1: Davis is a first ballot Hall of Famer champion. Uh,
- 19:01Speaker 1: if you look at his status, he's about twenty six
- 19:05Speaker 1: and twelve through his career. He's arguably the defensive player.
- 19:11Speaker 1: A couple of those years he's been on the All
- 19:13Speaker 1: Defensive Team.
- 19:14Speaker 3: And impec up a dresser for a man that's got
- 19:18Speaker 3: no no, he's years old, he's not and and where's
- 19:21Speaker 3: uh drip.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I'm saying you have seen drift?
- 19:24Speaker 3: I mean you see him a lot because if he's
- 19:26Speaker 3: sitting down a lot of times, and I'm saying, he's so.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Come, it's so astonishing. And I think if it really,
- 19:33Speaker 1: if you ask me, it boils down to that Mark
- 19:37Speaker 1: Cuban sold this team the majority of it to uh,
- 19:42Speaker 1: the corporation out of Vegas. Yeah, they were big in
- 19:46Speaker 1: hotels and casinos and we call them the family. Had
- 19:50Speaker 1: we even talked about would they possibly move him to Vegas? Yes,
- 19:54Speaker 1: because the NBA is looking and now, and then the
- 19:57Speaker 1: one of the CEO said, oh, no, we're never we're
- 20:00Speaker 1: doing that, which always says.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Yeah, we already building an area. Figure, Yeah, we're trying
- 20:06Speaker 3: to see that.
- 20:08Speaker 18: Get the money line right that they want a new
- 20:10Speaker 18: arena in Dallas or that there will be uh the
- 20:13Speaker 18: Brea casinos to the arena or something of that effect.
- 20:17Speaker 1: And this summer, Luca would have been looking at a
- 20:22Speaker 1: super Max deal and the new people. As I've always shared,
- 20:26Speaker 1: and if you play ball on the professional level, the
- 20:29Speaker 1: one thing you always know is when a new owner,
- 20:33Speaker 1: a new GM, a new coach come, You're not those
- 20:37Speaker 1: people's boys. No, you're not. It's now those numbers are
- 20:44Speaker 1: You can look up that seventy of the team and
- 20:49Speaker 1: coaches will be gone within two years of a new
- 20:53Speaker 1: head coach of new GM. You're not there and it's
- 20:56Speaker 1: nothing an outsider, yeah, and it's nothing to feel bad
- 20:59Speaker 1: about it. It's not like you're have fallen off it's
- 21:02Speaker 1: just whatever they see and however they vision it's a
- 21:06Speaker 1: different direction. Sometimes they can use your salary to make
- 21:11Speaker 1: that happen. It's almost like changing governmental administration. If I
- 21:16Speaker 1: can take what it is that you're making to make
- 21:19Speaker 1: more of my dream look like I want it, even
- 21:22Speaker 1: at the expense of you, I'll do that. And the
- 21:26Speaker 1: GM sitting there saying he didn't like that Luca his
- 21:30Speaker 1: conditioning and he thinks that championships has won.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Defensively, those are two big.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Keys because they went to the finals last year, and
- 21:40Speaker 3: those are two you don't have on your key ring.
- 21:46Speaker 2: You know that Kylerie is a winner.
- 21:48Speaker 8: He know Kyrie has a championship, but at the same time,
- 21:51Speaker 8: he knows the defense. Like you said, he sat there
- 21:53Speaker 8: and he said, we went to a championship. I know
- 21:55Speaker 8: we got a championship capability team. And so what's the piece.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Even if the piece is they gotta go, gotta go.
- 22:01Speaker 1: And it's just certain personalities that bring a certain way.
- 22:05Speaker 1: And you know once that person, if that same GM
- 22:09Speaker 1: or this same ownership came to Atlanta, then that would
- 22:13Speaker 1: have been Trey Young.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Bye.
- 22:16Speaker 1: For what they are trying to say, they're saying, we're
- 22:20Speaker 1: gonna kind of be more because the Dallas Mavericks, from
- 22:25Speaker 1: day one they drafted Dirt Novinski, have been all gass,
- 22:29Speaker 1: no breaks, their whole philosophy for basically the time Mark
- 22:34Speaker 1: Cuban and that era took over, the team has been
- 22:37Speaker 1: the first one to one fifty, throw the ball up,
- 22:43Speaker 1: slide your feet, shuff for the ball. It's been a
- 22:46Speaker 1: mindset won that.
- 22:50Speaker 18: When they won that championship, they finally had a roster
- 22:53Speaker 18: of decent defensive player Sean Mary and Tyson Chandler. So
- 22:59Speaker 18: they they do it every once in a while. So
- 23:03Speaker 18: but that has been the biggest thing. But the part
- 23:05Speaker 18: that has been comical to me is they speak as
- 23:08Speaker 18: though all they got back was a washing machine from
- 23:12Speaker 18: the Lakers, and.
- 23:13Speaker 2: But no, they didn't get it. They didn't.
- 23:15Speaker 3: They got a state of the art applying. Now it
- 23:18Speaker 3: be yeah, they.
- 23:22Speaker 2: The service.
- 23:23Speaker 8: But to the casual fan, Luca, I mean he was
- 23:26Speaker 8: that in Dallas.
- 23:27Speaker 3: No, No, I think what it is is where he
- 23:31Speaker 3: comes from. Anthony Davis was Robin. He wasn't Luca. Where
- 23:36Speaker 3: he was was the superman. He was Batman. Everybody deferred
- 23:40Speaker 3: to him. And now they're getting l A's Robin and
- 23:45Speaker 3: they kind of feel like they've been tracked.
- 23:47Speaker 1: But he's getting But you're only batman on one end
- 23:50Speaker 1: of the court. Well, I'm saying, but it's still a
- 23:53Speaker 1: black cake. And that's why him. I feel like Dallas
- 23:56Speaker 1: got the better of the better of the two because
- 23:59Speaker 1: the because Lucre is six seven years into his career
- 24:02Speaker 1: and hasn't become any better of defender. I can give
- 24:05Speaker 1: you a lack of defense in year one and two.
- 24:08Speaker 3: He has a coming see I think that, and he's
- 24:11Speaker 3: only twenty Greggsy, he ain't became any kind now, he
- 24:16Speaker 3: he it's not his goal.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I've tried to be a righteous man.

- 26:30Speaker 23: poverty a crime. That's why the Bell Project helps those
- 26:34Speaker 23: who can't afford it while fighting to in cash bail
- 26:37Speaker 23: because freedom should be free.
- 26:39Speaker 11: Brought to you by the AD Council.
- 26:43Speaker 24: And now back to the sports giant, Wayne Gandy.
- 26:50Speaker 2: In the radze.
- 27:01Speaker 17: Gonna do me right, I might just do you in.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Welcome back to the fore Shock Show. I'm this War Shock,
- 27:15Speaker 1: Wayne Kenny. We were talking about the Dallas Marion Ricks
- 27:18Speaker 1: Luca Donkish being traded that he should be able to
- 27:20Speaker 1: play here in the next game. I know he was
- 27:22Speaker 1: on the bench. I don't know what his health is,
- 27:24Speaker 1: but Dearon Frock Fox was out there last night. They
- 27:28Speaker 1: got traded on the same day. Typically in a trade,
- 27:31Speaker 1: long as you can pass the physical, you can play
- 27:33Speaker 1: two days later. So he should be able to play
- 27:36Speaker 1: if he's healthy the next Laker game, the same as
- 27:39Speaker 1: Anthony Davis, they should be able to play on for
- 27:42Speaker 1: the MAVs. The MAVs are offering a refund, which is
- 27:45Speaker 1: very strange to any of their season ticket holders that
- 27:51Speaker 1: are upset about the trade goodbye, which.
- 27:54Speaker 8: I don't know, I mean no, and see, and this
- 27:59Speaker 8: is Luke the second trade in the This is his
- 28:03Speaker 8: second trade, you know, the original we were just talking
- 28:05Speaker 8: about Trey. Now it makes Atlanta fans, as a Hawk fan,
- 28:10Speaker 8: look at the Hawks. Did they make the right decision
- 28:13Speaker 8: by that night trading Luca for trade? As you go
- 28:18Speaker 8: forward now looking uh with them that that team of
- 28:23Speaker 8: owners coming in now and moving trade versus our team
- 28:26Speaker 8: of owners, what Atlanta would possibly do?
- 28:30Speaker 2: I wouldn't you know, I don't know.
- 28:32Speaker 9: I.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Don't championship, the playoffs, and that first trade was during
- 28:40Speaker 3: the draft, wasn't it that? But I mean they had
- 28:43Speaker 3: neither one had proven who they were yet and both
- 28:47Speaker 3: have kind of shown that maybe they were. We overestimated
- 28:52Speaker 3: kind of what they were doing. We were jumping about
- 28:54Speaker 3: Luca's defense and how he's not getting any better. And
- 28:58Speaker 3: when you say it like that, it sort of sounds
- 29:00Speaker 3: like it was with Shaq and his free throw shooting,
- 29:03Speaker 3: Like Shaq just doesn't get any better, but he was
- 29:06Speaker 3: diligently working on his free throw shooting. He got him
- 29:09Speaker 3: a coach, he got himself in the gym, and he
- 29:12Speaker 3: was trying. And you know, out of one hundred free
- 29:16Speaker 3: throws miss maybe he started missing only ninety nine, but
- 29:20Speaker 3: he was trying. Luca's not attempting to play defense. That's
- 29:23Speaker 3: not on board.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I think that's the key to roll on to the
- 29:28Speaker 1: next The key to Luca being able to play defense,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I think in the Dallas Mavericks mind is the conditioning
- 29:34Speaker 1: right that you're not in good enough condition, so you
- 29:39Speaker 1: rest on defense. And I've gone and watched him play
- 29:44Speaker 1: and he really does do that.
- 29:46Speaker 2: He is all, well, he's supposed to rest on offense,
- 29:49Speaker 2: you're talking.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Right, but he rest is on defense. He tries to
- 29:52Speaker 1: get on someone, he plays off of me. He grabs
- 29:55Speaker 1: his shorts as though he like the game's over when
- 29:58Speaker 1: he's on defensive end of the court. So we will
- 30:00Speaker 1: see how that works out for Luca. But Jimmy Butler
- 30:04Speaker 1: is out of Miammi. He's headed the Golden State. Andrew
- 30:08Speaker 1: Wiggins is headed to Miami in a three or four
- 30:12Speaker 1: team trade that they put on pat Riley shipping Jimmy
- 30:17Speaker 1: Butler to the other coast so he doesn't have to
- 30:20Speaker 1: face him. But once a year down in MYAMMI and
- 30:24Speaker 1: Jimmy got his wishes to get out of Miami. The
- 30:29Speaker 1: Golden State Warriors went on and gave him a two
- 30:31Speaker 1: year deal. Jimmy is thirty five, thirty six. You put
- 30:34Speaker 1: him with Steph and now you got three guys that's
- 30:37Speaker 1: thirty five and up. I don't know how much damage
- 30:40Speaker 1: they will do, but Andrew Wiggins now in Miami. The
- 30:44Speaker 1: Lakers moved and got another piece by trading Dalton connect
- 30:51Speaker 1: who they just drafted to the Hornets for their center.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And Rob Palinka said he was going to look for
- 30:57Speaker 1: a big man.
- 30:58Speaker 2: That Williams guy's he's He's got a lot they were
- 31:02Speaker 2: looking for.
- 31:04Speaker 18: I think they were trying to trade from Miles Turner
- 31:06Speaker 18: from the Pacers, and the Pacers wanted Austin Reeves apparently, so.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I guess the Lakers weren't willing to come off.
- 31:16Speaker 1: So now you have Luca, Austin ree Lebron Rudy Ajamura,
- 31:22Speaker 1: and Mark Williams. Mark Williams and you got what about
- 31:29Speaker 1: forty games? About thirty games? Yeah, thirty thirty five games
- 31:33Speaker 1: to try to put that together before the playoffs to
- 31:35Speaker 1: see if that will work. So hopefully everybody gets healthy
- 31:38Speaker 1: and then we get to see how all these trains.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I think Chris not Chris the head coach of Golden State,
- 31:45Speaker 1: Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr, I heard him talk about that
- 31:49Speaker 1: the NBA needs to figure out how to do this
- 31:51Speaker 1: during the All Star break, that these teams shouldn't have
- 31:55Speaker 1: to play these three or four games with these limited personnel,
- 32:00Speaker 1: like when you when you do a trade. So now
- 32:03Speaker 1: you know, especially these team, You've got two of my
- 32:06Speaker 1: best players, and I got a game tonight.
- 32:09Speaker 18: And they moved they moved up, they moved up the
- 32:11Speaker 18: trade deadline because most of the time it was after
- 32:15Speaker 18: the All Star break that the trade Deadliney.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Can't it be doing? Why can't it be doing when
- 32:23Speaker 1: we're all dead for a week and we make all
- 32:25Speaker 1: these trades and then come back.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah, if you got to come from the All Star
- 32:35Speaker 3: game back to the house.
- 32:36Speaker 1: And pack, and logistically that would be for some of
- 32:39Speaker 1: us might just go from the All Star even I
- 32:42Speaker 1: can get a practice or two in you traded me
- 32:45Speaker 1: and I met the team on the road. I didn't
- 32:48Speaker 1: even get to meet them. I never practiced with them.
- 32:52Speaker 1: So if my game don't kind of just go along
- 32:54Speaker 1: with your scheme instantly, and a lot of times, that's
- 32:57Speaker 1: why I traded for you. I don't even know the
- 33:00Speaker 1: real play right, That's why I was Fox last night.
- 33:03Speaker 1: I was giving him a big kudos to go out
- 33:06Speaker 1: fresh off for trade two days later and score twenty
- 33:10Speaker 1: five points in the system. He just got to yeah, you.
- 33:15Speaker 18: Know, Chris Paul was probably telling him where to go
- 33:18Speaker 18: every single Playably.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Chris Paul is getting me more and more. He might
- 33:24Speaker 2: be a coach.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Listen, listen, I was going to about to.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Hit you with, yeah, man, I'll see all that the
- 33:33Speaker 1: Hall of Fame and then just flip around because I'm
- 33:36Speaker 1: about to.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Be I thought. When I saw him, I was like,
- 33:42Speaker 2: is that Chris Paul?
- 33:44Speaker 3: Because I really didn't know where he had gone and when,
- 33:48Speaker 3: and he was quite looked like he been at a
- 33:52Speaker 3: lot of business meetings.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yes, it looks like he is side to at least you.
- 33:58Speaker 1: His whole vibe is co gm. Even though he's still playing,
- 34:02Speaker 1: he still has more of an executive like you're saying
- 34:05Speaker 1: comandie vibe even last night, like he addressed them and
- 34:11Speaker 1: stood in front of them like he had called a
- 34:13Speaker 1: time out and was coaching all of from Harrison Bonds
- 34:19Speaker 1: to Fox like, and they were listening to him and
- 34:21Speaker 1: his life like all he need is a pullover. I
- 34:26Speaker 1: think he's gonna be quartersip quarters.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Anybody knows that anybody is in the position of authority,
- 34:42Speaker 3: but no.
- 34:43Speaker 1: That so Chris Paul, which point guards very easily, longtime player,
- 34:49Speaker 1: always a student of the game, very easily could do
- 34:53Speaker 1: like I said, Jason kid and have that dual press comfort.
- 34:57Speaker 1: That was the coldest thing in the world when Jason
- 34:59Speaker 1: kidd that.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah, oh man, this is the game.
- 35:06Speaker 3: But my single album is coming out, Flash's Lonely as
- 35:10Speaker 3: walking on that side of the table. Yeah, I'll be
- 35:12Speaker 3: releasing my album It's Lonely at the top. I'll be
- 35:17Speaker 3: your head coach next year up the same team. And
- 35:20Speaker 3: I just tell you I'm retiring. So it was like,
- 35:23Speaker 3: come on, Jacob, and I did retire. And you know what,
- 35:26Speaker 3: if you think about your retire you just stopped playing.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I'm not retired from just he just stopped playing. I
- 35:32Speaker 3: retired from. He that's all that was. That's what I said.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I was going.
- 35:36Speaker 1: That was so wild. I asked you guys earlier, just
- 35:39Speaker 1: because it is that time of the year. Uh, and
- 35:42Speaker 1: nothing Eli Manning in your mind, your first right off
- 35:49Speaker 1: the top. Now first time up, you kind of have
- 35:55Speaker 1: to subtract all of the commercial and get back to
- 36:01Speaker 1: remembering him as a player, because if you add the
- 36:07Speaker 1: pandemonium of his posts career, you can easily vote first ballot.
- 36:19Speaker 1: And I'm not telling you that's not how you feel
- 36:21Speaker 1: as him. A player with Tomatow, two time Super Bowl champion,
- 36:25Speaker 1: a player who was you know thing I love about
- 36:28Speaker 1: any player, and I think he's gotten lost in all sports.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Are guys that show up, Yeah, the A. C. Greens,
- 36:37Speaker 1: the cal Ripken. I think that's one of the biggest
- 36:39Speaker 1: things that has gotten washed away in sports, the availability.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Can you play the night big Kenny?
- 36:47Speaker 3: Hold on, hold on me, let me take that, let
- 36:50Speaker 3: me take that ankle back.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Onto my leg.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Eli is one of those guys.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I think I can make it.
- 36:55Speaker 1: He's gonna play, Yeah, he played it, Rainsley the snow,
- 36:58Speaker 1: he was gonna suit up. Does he have your vote?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Bad? Not the first time, not first ballot, comand.
- 37:07Speaker 1: You red now and don't don't throw the cowboy hate
- 37:10Speaker 1: on him. No, it's it's not that, it's just it's
- 37:14Speaker 1: just it's harder. I think it's gonna be harder for
- 37:17Speaker 1: quarterbacks now because like across Eras and all that.
- 37:21Speaker 2: So as of.
- 37:22Speaker 18: Right now, I wouldn't vote for him first ballot.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I was going to ask a question, are we voting
- 37:32Speaker 3: for him as a player from the National Football League
- 37:36Speaker 3: to go to the Hall of Fame on the first
- 37:38Speaker 3: ballot or a quarterback from the National Football.
- 37:42Speaker 1: League for the Hall of Fame?
- 37:45Speaker 3: Because what I would be hard pressed to do is
- 37:49Speaker 3: justify why not either when I've seen some of the
- 37:52Speaker 3: other guys go in and we were like, what.
- 37:55Speaker 1: The only thing I'm saying, so first ballot, yes, I
- 38:00Speaker 1: would say, you would say yeah, yeah, would you say
- 38:03Speaker 1: I would say no, thank you. I would say maybe
- 38:08Speaker 1: year five, four five. Down the road, Eli becomes as
- 38:15Speaker 1: we always say, he's more in the impact than he
- 38:20Speaker 1: is in necessarily the statistics guy, because he the Lynn
- 38:28Speaker 1: Swan category. Well one champions, they made big plays when
- 38:35Speaker 1: big plays were meant and it starts becoming you know,
- 38:39Speaker 1: I didn't have necessarily all these terrific four hundred yard games.

- 41:44Speaker 2: sing even big Jny what.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Back to the Sport Shock Show.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I'm in the Sport Shock Wayne Cany. Good morning to
- 41:52Speaker 2: you out there. This is in Lanta.
- 41:53Speaker 1: A great conversation doing the break we were we were
- 41:57Speaker 1: comparing what door And I've said that for a while
- 42:01Speaker 1: when you watch at the NBA level, I felt like
- 42:05Speaker 1: when the NBA opened the door to the ken Bai
- 42:09Speaker 1: Matambo and guys like Tracy McGrady, they opened the door
- 42:17Speaker 1: to now a lot of guys. I think Matambo allowed
- 42:22Speaker 1: Ben Wallace to be inducted. I think Tracy McGrady allowed
- 42:29Speaker 1: Chauncey Billups to be inducted. You you opened the door
- 42:37Speaker 1: as you was kind of alluding to Greg when you,
- 42:40Speaker 1: you know, open that seal of what is supposed to be.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Then if you put Andre Johnson in for Houston and
- 42:52Speaker 1: Tory Holt is sitting there thinking what about me? And
- 42:57Speaker 1: this is this is what I'm saying. I'm saying, you do,
- 42:59Speaker 1: you do, and that's why you have to be very
- 43:01Speaker 1: well once the and every because everybody really feels like
- 43:05Speaker 1: they're at the door.
- 43:06Speaker 3: I'm saying, but once there, all the seal is broken.
- 43:10Speaker 2: You know, we all are standing on the door. Hey,
- 43:13Speaker 2: I got some I got a piece of a standby,
- 43:17Speaker 2: I got an article of why I need to be
- 43:19Speaker 2: My bio says this my portfolio.
- 43:23Speaker 3: My point with Eli is that once that seal has
- 43:27Speaker 3: been broken, once the door has been opened, and one
- 43:30Speaker 3: gets in, now I have to justify why can't these
- 43:35Speaker 3: other guys come because they're equally matched. They basically they're
- 43:41Speaker 3: all the same. They're in the same category at least,
- 43:45Speaker 3: So why isn't this guy getting in? And he's pointing
- 43:49Speaker 3: to hey man, that dude got in it. So I'm
- 43:52Speaker 3: asking why wouldn't we let Eli in? Based on today's mystery,
- 43:56Speaker 3: because the seal has not been broken for quarterback or
- 44:01Speaker 3: oh see, And that's what I was saying when I
- 44:06Speaker 3: asked when I asked my question about football player in
- 44:09Speaker 3: the NFL or quarterback, we're judging eli by quarterback standards.
- 44:13Speaker 3: And now sometimes that's unfortunate because when it comes to awards,
- 44:17Speaker 3: the quarterback garners all of the awards because people always
- 44:22Speaker 3: see them as the beginning and the ending of a team.
- 44:24Speaker 3: But when it comes to restricting those awards, they will
- 44:28Speaker 3: always say, well, the quarterback didn't do they make them
- 44:34Speaker 3: those iconic positions, because if you didn't go out there
- 44:38Speaker 3: with one show to dislocate it and throw for two
- 44:42Speaker 3: hundred and fifty yards and win a Super Bowl, then ah,
- 44:45Speaker 3: maybe next year will vote.
- 44:47Speaker 1: And that's why when I use the NBA analogy, I said,
- 44:49Speaker 1: Ben Wallace, Yeah, I mean the KENBA opened the door
- 44:53Speaker 1: for Ben Wallace and Tracey McGrady opened the door for
- 44:58Speaker 1: Chauncey Billups. I don't know that there's a quarterback that
- 45:02Speaker 1: has been let in that was more questionable at the moment.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Can you the guys sing with somebody? Most guys you
- 45:11Speaker 1: kind of saw before they retired, Okay, this guy is well,
- 45:17Speaker 1: I mean, the most last backs to go in Brady
- 45:21Speaker 1: and Manning were the last two quarterbacks going.
- 45:24Speaker 2: I think Ken Ken Stabler, yet.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Manning is in. Drew Breestrees has just been in.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Yeah that's who next year. Then in that case Manning
- 45:37Speaker 2: Manning was the last one. Now you said kid's Stabler.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Now that's it's not good. I thought that was a
- 45:44Speaker 2: bona fide Hall of fame. It took years. It was after.
- 45:48Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say. And that's why I
- 45:52Speaker 1: said every to be in the NFL and call yourself
- 45:56Speaker 1: an NFL starter. That means he was knocking on the over.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Now it starts becoming what is going to differentiate? Is
- 46:05Speaker 1: it numbers? Is it impact? Like a Terrell Davis, Gail Sayers,
- 46:10Speaker 1: Guys that only gave you what you got this list,
- 46:16Speaker 1: So you know, it starts becoming what part are you measuring?
- 46:21Speaker 1: Is a Hall of famer just a dominant three years?
- 46:25Speaker 1: And when you do this, and that's the part where
- 46:27Speaker 1: you have to be because just like they want to
- 46:30Speaker 1: call every cornerback some kind of lockdown corner, hold on,
- 46:34Speaker 1: but he stopped one, dude, And now.
- 46:36Speaker 3: You're talking about it, but but but the but the
- 46:38Speaker 3: way the metrics by which they measure becomes but every
- 46:43Speaker 3: metric is different. I know I'm saying, but it becomes
- 46:45Speaker 3: difficulty because you say, like, the statistics are basically what
- 46:49Speaker 3: we're going on. Well, if in that three seasons, but
- 46:53Speaker 3: you just had the most outstanding statistics, we can't do.
- 46:58Speaker 3: People Gong Jampany, right, everybody's not going by statistics. There
- 47:02Speaker 3: is no collective mind of It's like there's no standard measurement.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Jason Taylor is in the Hall of Fame, but John
- 47:10Speaker 3: Apraham isn't.
- 47:12Speaker 2: That's a joke.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Now I've blocked both of them, so I'm not gonna
- 47:16Speaker 1: give you my opinion. But I'm just saying Jason Taylor
- 47:18Speaker 1: is in, and I'm saying it starts becoming. But Jason
- 47:23Speaker 1: Taylor was on teams where he made those splash players.
- 47:26Speaker 2: In their personality.
- 47:28Speaker 1: That's that's all. And that's what mats this whole thing
- 47:32Speaker 1: so subjective. It is no real actual outline of how
- 47:37Speaker 1: because in someone Tracy mcgrady's defense, the first seven years
- 47:43Speaker 1: of the tea mat was unstoppable. It was must watch TV.
- 47:51Speaker 1: It was unstoppable. It was like Grant Hill, Grant Hill
- 47:56Speaker 1: in that Piston uniform.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Before married to me.
- 48:00Speaker 1: He was taking reservation.
- 48:01Speaker 2: He showed us who like u oh a table.
- 48:04Speaker 1: For four Okay, I got you in the corner. You
- 48:07Speaker 1: put up his own music.
- 48:11Speaker 3: But something you said earlier that he got hurt and
- 48:13Speaker 3: he's been sitting on the bench for thirty seven years.
- 48:17Speaker 8: But something you said earlier, the posts part of the
- 48:20Speaker 8: the popularity part. I think that's the thing that is
- 48:24Speaker 8: put in on a lot of these votes with the
- 48:26Speaker 8: Hall of Fame in the last ten years.
- 48:28Speaker 1: It's best to get in the media.
- 48:30Speaker 3: And I'm gonna say nothing, but I'm under saying what
- 48:32Speaker 3: I'm saying before the media.
- 48:33Speaker 8: Because even with Kenny Stable, like he said, if you
- 48:36Speaker 8: look at them Raiders teams, you either Plunking or Kenny Sable.
- 48:39Speaker 8: But Kenny you think Kenny Sable? Was that a pending
- 48:42Speaker 8: me of an Oakland Raider. But in a lot of
- 48:45Speaker 8: people's eyes, like you said last minute.
- 48:47Speaker 3: And and and again, we're talking about sports is entertainment now,
- 48:54Speaker 3: a lot of people after sports go, you know, there
- 48:58Speaker 3: aren't any opportunities we can be mad at Eli.
- 49:01Speaker 2: When how long has Eli been retired? Five? You five year?
- 49:05Speaker 2: His first time?
- 49:06Speaker 3: So and he steal is in the media like he's
- 49:09Speaker 3: playing football Now there's nothing NFL that happens on any
- 49:14Speaker 3: channel that he's not mentioned, even if it's ingest an ad.
- 49:17Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 49:20Speaker 2: The bull he's up for rap catch, Well, give it
- 49:22Speaker 2: to the bull.
- 49:22Speaker 17: But if it from me to Foster waiting at Luther
- 49:27Speaker 17: Snail the float claw fall, that's when I get sick,

- 51:36Speaker 2: And now back to the sports jib, Wayne and.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Center Court on sports news gossip.
- 51:46Speaker 19: Blah blah blah blah blajo.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Crackt it it be about.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Welcome back to this what shock show them this what shocks?
- 52:11Speaker 2: Wayne Kenny.
- 52:12Speaker 1: We were talking about the Hall of Fame class that
- 52:16Speaker 1: has been uh this year. The finalist, Eric Allen, the cornerbacks,
- 52:22Speaker 1: you're Rod Allen, the d N Willie Anderson offensive tackle,
- 52:27Speaker 1: uh gerrar Evans, the Saints offensive guard, Antonio Gates, Tory Hote,
- 52:34Speaker 1: Luke Kechi Keachley, excuse me, Eli Manning, Steve Smith Senior,
- 52:41Speaker 1: Terrell Suggs, Fred Taylor, Adam Vinattouri, Reggie Wayne, Darren Woodson,
- 52:48Speaker 1: and Marshall Yanda from Baltimore. Those are the fifteen. They
- 52:55Speaker 1: will typically I think the night of tomorrow tell you
- 52:58Speaker 1: who the five or six are going to be at
- 53:01Speaker 1: this time. And we were talking about Eli, so we'll
- 53:03Speaker 1: get to talk about this on Monday. Who got inducted in?
- 53:07Speaker 1: And I think when you look at the list you
- 53:12Speaker 1: have based on position a class of a lot of
- 53:18Speaker 1: marginal where it's not clear cut like sometimes it is
- 53:29Speaker 1: when you give me the names as a former player,
- 53:31Speaker 1: all these guys are all the famers. But if you're
- 53:35Speaker 1: going to go by the standard, and you know, maybe
- 53:39Speaker 1: Antonio Gates, this is Tory Holp's about four to fifth
- 53:42Speaker 1: time up on the board. You got three receivers, Tory Holts,
- 53:46Speaker 1: Steve smithsonr. And Reggie Wayne. You know the NFL is
- 53:51Speaker 1: not going to put three receivers in. At best, you'll
- 53:54Speaker 1: get two of those guys in there, and then you
- 53:58Speaker 1: just start trying to Darren Woodson has to be have
- 54:00Speaker 1: been on pre for a while now, Safety out of
- 54:03Speaker 1: the Cowboys, so we will get to see. But we
- 54:06Speaker 1: do know Elias is the first time for him up
- 54:09Speaker 1: on the board.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Is guarantee. Adam Vanity, that's one sure shot.
- 54:15Speaker 3: Well, they just started doing kickers, but I mean he
- 54:20Speaker 3: I mean this guy, but he was they just like
- 54:23Speaker 3: they just put de Master in last year. They don't
- 54:26Speaker 3: really I would think that Vilitary I will and one
- 54:30Speaker 3: punter and now one uh returner in there.
- 54:35Speaker 2: So it's it's rare.
- 54:37Speaker 1: President Trump will be the first sitting president to go
- 54:40Speaker 1: to a super Bowl. Is that surprising to you? Yeah,
- 54:44Speaker 1: And that's kind of like surprises because we've had a
- 54:47Speaker 1: lot of presidents, at least not my lifetime, that loves sports,
- 54:52Speaker 1: from Bill Clinton to Obama.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Yeah, George, maybe it's always considered a security risk.
- 55:04Speaker 1: A sitting first sitting president first the World Series, well,
- 55:08Speaker 1: world Series, it's the first sitting president to go. So
- 55:12Speaker 1: they've gone before or after after they were in their presidency,
- 55:16Speaker 1: but the first sitting and I was like, man, and
- 55:19Speaker 1: mainly because anybody after Reagan I've known to love sports
- 55:26Speaker 1: and and and be open and choose a team and
- 55:29Speaker 1: all of that. Backtrack real quick. I got a question
- 55:33Speaker 1: about Reggie Wayne. When when these positions, like we were
- 55:37Speaker 1: talking about quarterbacks so highly touted, and when something like
- 55:41Speaker 1: that has another key position that is tied to it,
- 55:45Speaker 1: like a receiver, Reggie Wayne is Peyton Manning's premier receiver.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Harrison was Regie second, and but still he came along
- 55:56Speaker 1: and made Peyton Manning great.
- 55:58Speaker 2: So Peyton gets in.
- 56:00Speaker 3: I mean, these the dudes I threw too, like Marvin
- 56:03Speaker 3: did Marvin get in? Has he been dominated? He's in?
- 56:06Speaker 3: So come on, man, I mean we're gonna nominate our line. Basically, well,
- 56:11Speaker 3: this was our we all came through together.
- 56:15Speaker 1: And looking at this list, that's what I'm saying. You
- 56:16Speaker 1: would have to put Tory hold in before Steve Smith
- 56:21Speaker 1: or Reggie Wayne, because Isaac Bruce is already in, Kurt
- 56:26Speaker 1: Warner is already in, Marshall Falk is already in. So
- 56:30Speaker 1: the greatest show on turf only missing, only missing Tory Holt.
- 56:36Speaker 1: And as far as these guys go, that's what I say,
- 56:39Speaker 1: all of them. Steve Smith was the baddest man ever
- 56:42Speaker 1: been in a Carolina pouful pounds, you know, but he
- 56:45Speaker 1: tell you that too. But I get lost of why
- 56:48Speaker 1: Hines Ward is not on this, So it gets just
- 56:50Speaker 1: like what's going on? At some point you start being like,
- 56:53Speaker 1: hold up, when is it time to reshuffle? Because the
- 56:58Speaker 1: man who changed the block can rule. You know, they
- 57:04Speaker 1: changed the crackback block because he knocked the linebacker out
- 57:07Speaker 1: and censing that in the game, and from that day on,
- 57:10Speaker 1: after that play, the NFL next year said, you can't.
- 57:14Speaker 3: They changed their rule all the way down. You can't
- 57:17Speaker 3: peel me, he went. It went all the way down
- 57:20Speaker 3: from because the peel.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Back block was always what you was hoping to find somebody,
- 57:24Speaker 1: you know, run over and Kenny ain't looking. Oh boy, watch, watch,
- 57:28Speaker 1: watch somebody come getting me drunk. That's how it used
- 57:32Speaker 1: to be. And Hindes hit the guy up there in
- 57:35Speaker 1: Cincinnati and put him to sleep, you might have been
- 57:39Speaker 1: Burfett and knocked him out, and he was laying there
- 57:42Speaker 1: asleep on the field and best sleep he ever got. Work.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I was like, man, I feel good.
- 57:49Speaker 1: I'm saying, I feel rest, but and it just takes
- 57:54Speaker 1: go back to what I was saying. It starts being
- 57:56Speaker 1: almost like you got to get this person out of
- 57:59Speaker 1: the way to start, because because then next year somebody
- 58:05Speaker 1: of a true note. So Tom Brady hit the list
- 58:10Speaker 1: and then it's like, well that's the quarterback. So now
- 58:13Speaker 1: I got pushed back another year because of the Brady effect.
- 58:18Speaker 1: You get some guys that you just know, you know,
- 58:21Speaker 1: are going to go to the hall.
- 58:25Speaker 2: So Kurt Warner got in before.
- 58:29Speaker 3: Peyton, so I got to wait until next year because
- 58:34Speaker 3: they're gonna let your receiver in before mine. Kind of
- 58:37Speaker 3: thing I mean. And see, that's what I'm saying a
- 58:40Speaker 3: lot of this because three reularity. Julio Jones be on
- 58:44Speaker 3: here right it screams of popularity and media.
- 58:47Speaker 1: But if you put Steven Smith and Reggie Wayne in here,
- 58:50Speaker 1: then Roddy White is going to be.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Like, hey, hey right, he could come He actually all
- 58:57Speaker 3: come back to y Roddy a knock on. He waiting
- 59:01Speaker 3: on commands and to put Steve in, but looking at
- 59:04Speaker 3: next year to.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Validate his case.
- 59:06Speaker 1: He's sitting there like I'm cool with being out right now,
- 59:09Speaker 1: and then he gonna hear, man, you know Steve Smith
- 59:11Speaker 1: got in.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Yeah, what That's what I'm saying here. Come by the
- 59:15Speaker 2: I'm not gonna get that.
- 59:16Speaker 18: Next year Larry Fitzgerald will be eligible. So he I mean,
- 59:22Speaker 18: he's one who could jump over any of those guys
- 59:24Speaker 18: who do.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Oh he most definitely will.
- 59:26Speaker 1: And that's what starts happening.
- 59:28Speaker 8: Okay, when you jump, you know how it is you
- 59:31Speaker 8: online to be the next guy and then you get jumped.
- 59:33Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Stock Show right after this.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Come like your body.
- 59:42Speaker 28: He is asking me, all baby, when you're kissing me,
- 59:47Speaker 28: All baby, when you're loving me?
- 59:50Speaker 2: John Boy Wayne Born of the Sports Josh Show with
- 59:53Speaker 2: Wayne Dandy.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Yes coming up next.
- 59:56Speaker 12: And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance three
- 59:59Speaker 12: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:00:02Speaker 12: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:00:06Speaker 12: life insurance.
- 1:00:07Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:00:09Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:00:11Speaker 29: forever life insurance.
- 1:00:12Speaker 30: What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: What about you?
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:00:17Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:19Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:00:21Speaker 29: survive without me. That's when I'm made an appointment with
- 1:00:23Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:00:24Speaker 12: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:00:27Speaker 12: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:29Speaker 30: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:00:32Speaker 30: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:34Speaker 12: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:00:38Speaker 12: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:00:41Speaker 12: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:00:44Speaker 12: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: Log on today benefits or bills dot com? That's benefits
- 1:00:53Speaker 12: or bills dot com.
- 1:00:57Speaker 31: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 1:01:00Speaker 31: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 1:01:03Speaker 31: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 1:01:06Speaker 31: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 1:01:09Speaker 31: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 1:01:12Speaker 31: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 1:01:15Speaker 31: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 1:01:19Speaker 31: a positive. I knew I needed more tools in my
- 1:01:22Speaker 31: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 1:01:25Speaker 31: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 1:01:28Speaker 31: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 1:01:31Speaker 31: being that good role model as well. That model's good
- 1:01:34Speaker 31: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 1:01:37Speaker 31: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 1:01:40Speaker 31: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 1:01:43Speaker 31: and watching your.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Kids be happy.
- 1:01:47Speaker 32: Never stop being a dad.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: That's dedication.
- 1:01:50Speaker 32: Find out more at fatherhood dot gov, brought to you
- 1:01:52Speaker 32: by the US Department of Health and Human Services and
- 1:01:55Speaker 32: the ad Councils.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Enough, just enough, I don't have any hill, share your sucking,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: and we hold the world ransom for when you excuse me.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: While I whipped this out.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: Shoot broadcasting live and at leta to a chaut this
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: this is the sports Shock Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: You Bill began, you lean up?
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Gang?
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Can you plain show?
- 1:02:26Speaker 17: Frank me down?
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Do come to come to pod get it comes to Mark?
- 1:02:31Speaker 30: Is it just.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it, Biggin.
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: I'm gonna go on the.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Way you vegan.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sports Shock
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Wayne Candy.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Good morning. Tell you out there in this thing land.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: If you missed any of that first hour, please go
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: after the show the Amazon podcast, Apple Podcast, Audible, Deezer,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: iHeartRadio or Spotify and hear the replay. Command you Greg
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: the Bad producer, Big Kenny All in the studio, just waiting.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Six point thirty Sunday, Super Bowl down in New Orleans.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: The Kansas City Chiefs trying to repeat the Philadelphia Eagles
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: who are back in the game against the Chiefs, trying
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: to get a victory and go home with the championship,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: something they were able to do with Nick Foles just
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: a couple of years ago. So it seemed like Philly
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: hasn't had too much success, but they've had a lot
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: of success here in the last six eight years in
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: their franchise. They have really been an even under the
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Andy Reid administration when he was there Philly with Donovan
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: McNabb and the different quarterbacks that he had there at
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: that time. Mike Vick came through four minute when he
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: first got Carson Wentz in there. Philly has been a
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: team to be record with for a while now, and
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: they're back in the super Bowl, so maybe this time
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: they'll pull it against the three or two time defending champs.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Article was written the other day Tiger Woods announces the
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: death of his mother and a heartbreaking post morning my
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: biggest fan. And the part that threw me off about
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: why this writer and why you know, sports and media
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: just sometimes is the ending of this where it says
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: after she stood by him doing sex scandal, So you
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: read this man's post saying that his mama passed away,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: this iconic figure, and you felt like you needed to
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: sensationalize it by adding that tagline on the end when
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: you couldn't just show the man in the respect of
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Tiger Wood announces that his mom passed. There was a
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: whole lot of versions of tiger Woods and the great
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Tiger Woods that you embraced, and we all came to
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: new no could, at least for us that second like
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: him telling you his mom pass had nothing to do
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: with the sex scandal. But this is our media now,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: because I read it three or four times and I
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: kept trying to think, what did that have to do
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: with this man in this moment unless he posted that
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: posted it just like that. Yeah, but you added on
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: after she stood by him doing his sex Am I wrong?
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Guys?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: What it was?
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: That's basically you're right, you own it.
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: But because basically it has been since Tiger has made
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: the comeback, it's always a continuous of let me throw
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: this in on the tagline, not only Tiger, a lot
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: of the athletes. Well, I mean if they want to
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: throw in I mean not to bring up Michael, they
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: want throw in the dog fighting, or if it's the
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: gentleman to recently the kicker that was talking about women
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: should be in their place. It's just that it was
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: as ugly. It's just disrespectful. And I think that whoever
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: his editor or someone whoever.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Re read that.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: I mean, you supposed to have it used to be journalism,
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: that don't someone that's supposed to read the article.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: And you you would think the editor would say, hey,
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: let's pull back. Well, I always ask the question now,
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: I mean, and the fact that that was part of
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Tiger's history isn't the offensive part. It's that he's putting
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: it on the end of the announcement about his mother passing.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Why did he?
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Why did he?
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: Why did he put his mother wanted to wear the
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: red shirt? Because that's what was a big part.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: Like you know, when you if you were to look
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: at the story and the metrics of the story side
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: by side, the one that just says my dear mother
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: has passed got three likes.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: And seven views.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: The one with the tag after standing beside him with
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: the sex scandal went viral. That's why the And who's
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: wrong him for writing it or us for making it viral?
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: I mean we've all had him stand.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Yes, he for writing because you don't get to uphold
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: my personal constitution. I don't understand that. I'm with you
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: all day on that because he cannot.
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: I mean that man, this, this man did a like
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: back to what I'm saying, if you want to say
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: something good about what where Tiger's mother stood behind him,
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: where she told him that where she the things that
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: she instilling him as a young man.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: To be who he was a tiger.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: No, no, I understand that part and I am one
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: on the side of Tiger in mourning the loss of
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: his beloved, very special mother. I'm saying that when the
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: media outlet puts out this stuff that's offensive, nobody cries
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: that it's offensive and turns their back. They go and
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: they gobble it up. And so are we we Like
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: we talked about our leadership, that's this is the we
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: we are. These are the people writing these stories are us.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: These people are writing the stories for us because this
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: is the stuff we want to read. Nobody's caring about
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: why he wears the red shirt. They want to hear
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: about the bashed out windows.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: But Big Kenny, he's wrong for reading the article, and
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: you wrong for liking the article. Two people can be wrong, right.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: And and that's that's my whole points.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: This man has been in front of us for the
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: better part of thirty years, yes, and he's done many things.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: And for a moment, you can write a whole article
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: about the sex scandal if that's what you want to
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: bring up.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: I'm not telling you it's part of his past. I
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: just didn't think you need to have that at the end. Yeah,
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: I agree, I agree on.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: After you're saying he announced you could just put what
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: he announced as far as his mom dying instead of
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: going back because you adding that bottom part seems like
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: it's a personal thing for you. It's agad Tiger because
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: that sex scandal was in two thousand and nine.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: It was a long time.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: It was personally, But I'm saying we've had more reasons.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: Sandles right here at the show, am I right? And
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: that's why where's the editor at? Because it also shows
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: you that it's personal for them. Also for the editor
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: to allow the writer and to know.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: That's not necessarily how media goes anymore.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: These stories don't come from real people. This is just
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: a jumping together AI spots that. So it may have
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: been a robot that wrote this story.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and they got to include the entire history, the
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: pertinent information.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: And you're going to be remembered for the worst thing
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: you did, well, well, I didn't you talk about the
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: eighty two wins?
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: And you know the worst thing, the worst thing, Yeah,
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: the robots program for the worst thing. You know, they
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: got a different robot for that.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: It's going to be the arrest, the car accident.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Yeah, he might get that confused with my record, you
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: know what I'm saying that's the sex scandal again, and
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: then and then maybe the eighty two and I was
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: just wondering, Yeah, that's all I was the last part
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: because it was like, this is the part where we
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: are all failing each other where in the moment of
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: if I was if you were if you were missing? Yes,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: and I was announcing why you was missing, and I
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: was just trying to be a Kenny is out because
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: of someone else in the family. I don't need to
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: add in. You know, he after he his wife's back
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: in eighty two, right with eighty three. But listen, y'all
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: don't know what she did, y'all. I'm saying, I ain't
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: navigate violence. If I'm gonna do, just not say why
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: he's gone, right it is what is my whole is
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: how I just I'm gonna try to tear down him
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: in that moment. I just won't report why he's going.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Who was the young man that the college student that
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: went missing some time agoing The first thing they reported
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: is he staggered away from a club by himself after
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: a hard night of drinking and partying. And you know,
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: come on, I think it makes people somewhat less sympathetic
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: when you report it from that, ain't goer like, well,
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: you know, why.
- 1:11:49Speaker 18: Are we might make it might make it personal, just
- 1:11:51Speaker 18: to to make that person unsympathetic.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: That's a personal thing on them.
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: For him to make it sound like his mom, his mother,
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: she was gonna stand beside him regardless of what he done.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: So you know, we didn't need point.
- 1:12:06Speaker 18: The point was to we need to point out the
- 1:12:08Speaker 18: worst thing he ever done, and almost to the point
- 1:12:11Speaker 18: where yet his mother passed and he should not.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: We shouldn't. He should not have our sympathy or condolences,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: or he should not have Yeah, yeah we we and
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I should not. He should not like he was wrong
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: warning his mother's Yeah, like she was wrong. And I
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: don't even I didn't even remember it being a sex scandal.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I thought he just had che's on his wife.
- 1:12:34Speaker 27: Know he had.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: It turned out to be like twenty different limits and
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: that's it got. But he had to go to Third's
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: not judge, He had to go to Mississippi. The man
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: was mad with twenty different girlfriends. Those things happens. Keep
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: doing it right, if you do it right, and everybody
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: know how.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: To play the role in this. Why I said, when
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I saw doctor used to.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: Be a time winning. It wasn't called scandal. It was
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: just called other girl.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Other girl.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: She know what she knew, everybody playing their position.
- 1:13:13Speaker 18: Now by the time we get the tiger, now it's
- 1:13:14Speaker 18: just it's aye.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: You'll be back more a sports show right after this.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Get my windows bust out every weekend.

- 1:22:42Speaker 3: it's not out of the realm of reality. We're living

- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Dad?
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: We didn't all been stuck on the railroad with some

- 1:24:44Speaker 33: we push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by
- 1:24:49Speaker 33: the bootstraps. But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough,
- 1:24:53Speaker 33: when stress gets to us and we need to talk
- 1:24:55Speaker 33: to someone about what we're really going through. So we're
- 1:24:59Speaker 33: going to reach out because sometimes mental health is not

- 1:26:10Speaker 6: Loved one owns a gun, and for a while now
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: you've been concerned about their behavior. They're just not acting
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: like themselves. They've been distant, they've been unpredictable. They've been
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: lashing out. They've been saying things that make you worried
- 1:26:25Speaker 6: they might harm themselves or friends or family. Or you're
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: worried this loved one might hurt you. Maybe they recently

- 1:28:05Speaker 1: just war Shock win Candy. Good morning to you New Orleans.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Super Bowl parties all week. The game is Sunday. One
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: thing I want to ask you guys we didn't get
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: around to on Monday show was what's the purpose of
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: what Kanye West is doing with his wife? What is
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: that all about?
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: Legal pimping?
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: No, that seemed a little more creepier. I mean what
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: I'm saying is pimping. Does anybody have an understanding of
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: day sports shock? I always say it takes two, It
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: takes all kinds. Not only is he willing to parade
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: her around like that, she's willing to go and those things.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Uh just seem to be very uh expression.
- 1:28:53Speaker 18: He just sees himself as you know, it's an art installation. Yeah,
- 1:29:02Speaker 18: like an oh you got me stuck. What you do
- 1:29:07Speaker 18: know if you and you see an artist work like
- 1:29:10Speaker 18: these are their different works. This she is his his,
- 1:29:17Speaker 18: his exhibit, his exhibiting exhibit. You can go to some exhibit.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: Every woman.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: He does three guys laying on the floor tied up
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: in she through bags and that's my art.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: I designed that. And that's kind of Kanye. He's conceptual.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: He does that with a lot of said that.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: Turn that phrase again, conceptual art, installation, arstation.
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: That's what I'll be telling the police now, man, artist,
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: See I'm working in I'm working in greens and whites.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: It's a texture thing.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: It's textures. Man, I'm conceptual, it seems because at first
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: when he was doing I thought it was more of
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: like a shock and awe. But then when you do
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: it the same way all the time, it stops. It
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: just starts becoming what I expect. Right, there is no
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: shock nor awe to the effect. Now expected you to
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: show up and you know, but try to figure out
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: a way to get her as much nudity.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: In and at the Grammys she went, she through straight nudity.
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: And I think that a lot of people would imagine
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: that he's trying to raise the bar.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: But yet again, when your brand.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: Is outrage you have to be more outrageous each time,
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: and at some point you just hit the ceiling. What's
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: more outrageous than just completely buck naked on the red
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: carpet at the Grammys. Besides free porn. You see what
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: I'm saying, that's that's the only thing above that. And
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: we get that just on the timeline.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: So speaking of the Super Bowl, the NFL two things.
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: The NFL PA says no one will wants to play
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: an eighteenth game once again, the NFL and the Idiot
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Board continue to try to figure out a way to
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: let greed, because all these decisions are based on greed.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: Like our country is just becoming the wasteland that we
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: are becoming. It stems from greed that anybody in any person, man, woman,
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: or age will exploit themselves to make a dollar. And
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: most of us are just trying to make a dollar
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: for access. Do you're not trying to make a dollar
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: for need?
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: We just are.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: We're just all about the access. Do you remember do
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: you remember when that started? Excuse me, do you remember
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: when that mindset started? That whole As you know, a
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: lot of time, art imitates life. Michael Douglas greed for
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: a better word. It's good the Wolf of Wall Street.
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: We've romanticized having too much and being debaucherous.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: Witt it well, greed makes you go out and steal eggs. Yeah,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: Greed drives you to walk around the streets naked. Greed
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: takes all your pride and you end up with a
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: lot of extra what there was an idea that I
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: could you could understand doing things and desperation.
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: And I can almost give you a pass for that, right,
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: But there's no desperation. I was barefooted, yeah, and I
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: need yeah, And I broke into your house for some shoes.
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: But the other day of school, principal was a resident
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: for walking out of a colds with six hundred dollars
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: worth of stuff.
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: She just put it in her basket and walked down.
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: Now, this was the second time that she put first
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: time was three hundred dollars and they stopped it.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: Hey lady, where you're going. I'm gonna go to my car.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: You didn't pay for this stuff, but I'm going to
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: my car.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: You can't do that.
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: And she just walked away.
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: And then the second time she came back to the
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: same store, six hundred dollars worth of stuff, walked out,
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: put it in a car, went home, and the cameras
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: got her license plate and she was a school principal.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: We're just doing different things for more for attention and
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: to have more.
- 1:33:20Speaker 31: Yeah.
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Kanye West from what we know, because you never
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: know a person from what we've seen or reported, at
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: least on you know, it seems like he has enough
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: money to live to he died, So you're not walking
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: your wife around nicked because you're hungry. No, because I
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: could sit here and maybe step back, like, oh man,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: that's the only way, y'all keep the lights on now.
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: And he'll tell you walking around nd Yeah, because he
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: has a lyrics of it. He has a lyric in
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: one of his rhymes where he says richer than white
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: people with black kids, and that's that's pretty rich.
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: That's pretty rich.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: So it's just it's one of those things that if
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: you let it take you that far where greed is good,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: it just seems to take the morality out of everything.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: Like we're saying, even with sports, it's watering down sports.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: The greed of sports is going to be the thing
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: that reduces the sport. I know, everybody, it's one of
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: those oh you're too big to fail. No, I start
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: getting the vibe that sports is on the like the
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: eighteenth football game. You know what that does, y'all? Are
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: waiting on CT and you're worried about somebody getting a concussion.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: Fourteen years out of the NFL, I'm dealing with the
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: wear and tear. Every game is wearing tear each game
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: that you play. Yeah, you're waiting on this significant hit
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: that put me in a wheelchair, right, I'm talking about
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: pain management of the wear and tear that I wouldn't
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: give up. This is not one of those pity parties.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: I'm not telling you I wouldn't do it again. I'm
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: telling you you're just adding things to be adding. Nobody
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: has been sitting around like nobody wanted a seventeenth game.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: How about that. Nobody was on even on board on that.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: You just added it in so you can figure out
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: a way to make it head. That hasn't made it
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: the season any more exciting. People haven't even recognized it.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: Now you're considering taking another preseason game, try to make
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: it a full game. Now it's eighteen games, it's wear
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: and tear. Just like a kid in college and boys,
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: they took them sixteen games and won a national title.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Used to take twelve, Now I take sixteen. Everybody loved
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: the enjoyment of Travis. That's the corner of a Sazona
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: was in college three years and he played enough snaps
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: for five If he was just playing corner, you cut
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: all them snap. So he's did three years but to
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: make the bad produce a smile and be able to
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: do what he wants, he played five years of snaps
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: just wearing tear.
- 1:36:12Speaker 18: If the if Penn State and Texas had won those
- 1:36:15Speaker 18: semi fans, there would have been game seventeen for both of.
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: Them, which is.
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: Just those that extra number of games quarter of a season.
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: You know, it's like you played almost your season partly
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: through again. And it's all agreed. But now this is
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: what I know from being in the media business. If
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: I put it out there and somebody by we're doing
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: good that we're not concerned about the wear and tear.
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: We're concerned about the But your promoter and promote these
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: stories as though you do. Yeah, but that that that
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: generates money from another revenue.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: Stream, and that's what we're talking right, agreed, Right, Yeah,
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: that's that's the whole thing. Since everything is let by greed,
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: it pushes everything. You're gonna write a story that you're
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: fighting against injury, but then create another way to make
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: more injury.
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: By putting more games.
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: But you keep saying, gamb responsibly, gamble responsibly, Jock, That's
- 1:37:20Speaker 3: all I'm saying.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: So you don't want me to be injured when I retire.
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: You want to create something, make.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: More instead of smoking cigarettes, use a fight pen, and
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: gamble responsibly.
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: And I'm telling you that I'm telling you to drink
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: responsibly as a maker, As someone who makes, I want
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: you to drink responsibly.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: Uh. That NBA ring that involved John Tay porter Uh
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: formerly of the Toronto Raptors and Terry rose here formerly
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: of the Miami Heat. It seems or is he still there?
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: He's just on an administrative leave or something. Is he
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: still playing?
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: I don't think he was suspended or anything?
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: Okay with Terry Roseier, John t. Porter Uh Eastern Michigan,
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: Mississippi Valley State in North Carolina, A and T. There
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: is the Fed say all that is connected some kind
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: of way, and Big Kenny is saying that when the
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: Fed say it, it's some truth to it. Hold on
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: not name no schools schools again, Uh, North Carolina, Anti,
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: Mississippi Valley State, Eastern Michigan. We talked about them.
- 1:38:38Speaker 8: Ah.
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: Well, Terry Roseier and now I know just the school
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: Those are just those HBC.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: Those are the four. I don't know about the two
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: of them.
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: I know Mississippi Valley State and Carolina definitely HBC. I
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: definitely know mayar So and the ft say fast, just listen. Now,
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: let me tell you something about They didn't just link
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: them schools by happening.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: They don't.
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: They don't.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: It's not like bingo where they put them all.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: In a ball and a bigger ball and reach in
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: and just pull one out and again, with all of
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: this being successive information.
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: Somebody told something and now John there telling the listen man,
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: but no hard time. Twenty five They talking about thirty years.
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: Them people talking about thirty figs. Y'all might have seen
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: me out of the NBA, but my brother Michael listen
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: to make about fifty mili.
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: We're good.
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: But if you send me to prison and it's different.
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: They're not talking about twenty five years. They talking about
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: twenty five faig years.
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: We'll be back water sports hock show.
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: Twenty five regular years. I'll be out by Christmas. What
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: y'all got going on in Mississippi Valley?
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: Hey, I ain't. I don't want to talk about. I thought,
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: then you go there for us? I can't out erm mater.

- 1:41:16Speaker 28: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:41:19Speaker 28: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 1:41:23Speaker 28: It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 1:41:26Speaker 28: with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 1:41:29Speaker 28: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 1:41:34Speaker 28: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 1:41:37Speaker 28: This isn't an ad to scare you, but it is
- 1:41:39Speaker 28: an ad to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 1:41:42Speaker 28: Go to Real Deal on fentanyl dot com. This message
- 1:41:45Speaker 28: is brought to you by the Ad Council.
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: And now back to the sports Job. Dwayne gamsy.
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: Log. Say you can see a sports chaint, I'll sing
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: even the.
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: Big canny Welcome back to the Sport Shock Show. I'm
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: the Sport Shock Wing King. See that story about the
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: eggs we were talking about, Big Kenny, share with me
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: that up in Pennsylvania, one one hundred thousand eggs were
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: stolen from a trailer. We talk on Monday about uh,
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: the what was it golstones or the U in Brazil,
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: So all kinds of and I don't know how do
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: these things spread. Do you just think like it's one
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: ring or you just see somebody on TikTok and the side.
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: I mean no, no, you know how delicate it is
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: to steal eggs. You gotta be real delicate. We'll see
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: this like you can really push the truck you got. Well,
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: this is the thing, sports jock. There stogs and we've
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: all stolen now.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: Before.
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: No, I stole an egg one, Oh yeah, missed that
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: bird of my neighbor when I was in nineteen seventy eight.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: Her chicken used to get in our yard and I
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: was returning one of her chickens, and you know, I
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: was about six of it, and I took him back
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: into the chicken pen and I had discovered the brown egg.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: I didn't understand.
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: He was curious.
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, what is the brown I was
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: looking at like it was you saw the white one
- 1:43:47Speaker 3: before it? And see that's how fast. That's how they
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: give birth to theft, Like you get curious about it.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: Today's a brown egg, tomorrow is a diamond watch.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: Don't you know what.
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: About third grade.
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: You know, it takes some time. It don't just happen.
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, You need time to develop.
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: I wasn't.
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: Brownie diamond watch. I'm just saying I wasn't no degenerate.
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: I wasn't no degenerate. This life chose me, Jack.
- 1:44:19Speaker 15: I was like you.
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: It was a brown egg at first, and then the
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: next thing you know, it was a more expensive piece
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: of jewelry. Still same, same kinds. Well, I guess they would.
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: It's sold in the WAF house because houses have a
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: search off. And that's the thing about crime, once you
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: find out that there's a need for it. Uh.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: They have now tracked a lot of the.
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: Athletic thefts to a pawn shop in the Diamond district
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: where they are willing, and they have indicted these people,
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: saying that they were the one that made the market
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: for stolen uh athletes.
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: Good?
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: Are people cooking eggs that much? I never devil a hardball,
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: but eggs usually last mean exploration a long time. They're
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: good and I like them, but I do know they're
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: hiring cholesterols. I try to limit just eggs is a
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: big part of the game, right, Well, I can tell
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: I can tell.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: You keep mind me.
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: Just once a week though, see how to tell you that.
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: But I do bring the party. Try to get a
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: little fruit, a little fruit.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: You know, so he don't tell that part. Bring the vegetables. Vegetables. Uh.
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: The Washington commanders are getting slammed by a Native American group.
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: We've talked about this now a couple of times that
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: uh the group uh n a g A, which stands
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: for Native American Guardian Association.
- 1:46:00Speaker 9: Uh.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: They actually are arguing against the commander's name. Commanders. They
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: feel like it is disrespectful and degrading to their culture
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: and heritage, that their culture and heritage was decimated by
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: a series of commanders. Yes, the generals and collegians were
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: led by command reverse. Well, basically, when I read these
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: stories and we've been on the air since, this whole
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: thing has shaken out, and I remember us used to
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: joke about it seems that we've heard from all the
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: communities about this change except the Native community. Yeah, and
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: I used to be making a joke like I haven't
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: heard a Native American say anything anything about a name.
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: And now you find out that the family of the
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: image of Chief two Guns white calf, which was the
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: logo on the hell meant they're saying they want it back.
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: They never asked them to take it off. And now
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: the national group, uh, this National group, National American Guarding Association,
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: is saying they would rather them go back to the
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: Redskins than the commander and the commanders just like they said,
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: who do they put on? They said the walking races,
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: the races change without asking them.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Is it goes back to the owners situation with the NBA.
- 1:47:36Speaker 8: Like in that situation, remember when the guys around the
- 1:47:38Speaker 8: same time, we don't want the owners to be called owners,
- 1:47:41Speaker 8: want to be called governors.
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: Go so so, I mean this is.
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: See a lot of people are very angry with the
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: direction that the administration is going right now. And what
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: they failed to see is over the years we've talked
- 1:47:57Speaker 3: about it here on the show constantly that they has
- 1:48:00Speaker 3: been a looming overcorrection coming. We tired of you making
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: us call it this. We tired of you making us
- 1:48:10Speaker 3: make it that, and so now we'll eliminate any need
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: for that kind of consideration. You went and took something
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: that we were fine with and told us that we
- 1:48:21Speaker 3: ought to be offended. Man, You know what that's a
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: shame they're doing that to you, doing what that thing
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: they did. I don't know what you're talking about. We
- 1:48:29Speaker 3: gonna fix it.
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: What do you fix it?
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: Don't worry?
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: But you know what are you saying it happens in
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: our own community. Well, I'm saying it happens worldwide. But
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: it's always someone telling you what you need, and stop
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: telling me what I need or want.
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: I was one hundred percent fine with us being.
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: Called black blow people, and now we have to be
- 1:48:52Speaker 3: called misplaced and you know, I don't know what that.
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: Is Indigenous African Americans.
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: But when you get back to the root of it,
- 1:49:00Speaker 3: just like these people have said, not only have you
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: offended us by erasing the history that we were trying
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: to promote, number two, you replaced it with something that
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: we find defensive, because that's what erased our history in
- 1:49:14Speaker 3: the first place, was a commander. You cut into the
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: church's money because we used to get a license and
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: agreement for that.
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: Oh, Nick, we don't get nothing. We'll be back more
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: than sports Jock Hill right after this, Joh't goo awayne.
- 1:49:43Speaker 10: More of the Sports John Show with Wayne Dandius coming
- 1:49:46Speaker 10: up next.
- 1:49:47Speaker 11: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:49:50Speaker 12: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:49:53Speaker 12: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:49:57Speaker 12: have life insurance.
- 1:49:58Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my my wife,
- 1:50:00Speaker 29: we're just getting started with our family and thought we
- 1:50:02Speaker 29: live forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: What about you?
- 1:50:05Speaker 5: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:08Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:50:10Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family would
- 1:50:12Speaker 29: survive without me. That's what I'm made an appointment with
- 1:50:14Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:50:15Speaker 12: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:50:18Speaker 12: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:50:20Speaker 30: Now that I'm molder, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:50:23Speaker 30: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:50:25Speaker 12: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:50:27Speaker 12: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:50:29Speaker 12: need is the insurance informant to help you build a

- 1:52:00Speaker 10: When we put a spin on life and sports and
- 1:52:03Speaker 10: how they intermingled on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: Listens, what your care Listen, what your care listen? Give
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: it to your life. Wait for you to get it
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: on your own.
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: Exto delivered to you. But I'm not opened up.
- 1:52:22Speaker 17: The tart sprout, but did not stop my problem staying studet.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: Walk back to this War Shock show. I'm just Warshock
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: wing Ken. We were talking about the Washington Commanders. I
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: remember a lot of people felt like they were head
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: back to calling themselves the Washington Redskins. The bad producer
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: was saying the family would have cut now. I was
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: only emphatic about that because people sometimes soon as you
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: want to do something, think it's about money. And sometimes
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: you know, wherever you live, somebody names the street after
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: your father, and you never it was never about a cut.
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: You don't get money use street name of the street
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: after you. But then they come around and want to
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: change it to something else, and you're fighting because of
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: the pride and hold on not that of what you
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: felt about that being man that used to.
- 1:53:11Speaker 3: Be called Johnson Lane. I didne bought every child out
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: of raid and.
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: What you're saying, right, So I just I'm saying, so
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: I don't instantly instant, instantly infuse. Oh, they want to
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: get it for they probably felt a sense of pride
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: out around their house, and they've had all kind of
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: their great ancestors stuff on to be able to say
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: how because as I said, when all this develops, I
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: think the group gets to the Native American group gets
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: to stand and say whether they it should be them,
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: not me. It should be them who goes and says
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: they don't want the name. But I do know that
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: very seldom in life do you name something after someone
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: to mock them. Most often, naming some of your child
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: after the mother or the father, or aunt or grandmother
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: is more than an honor.
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: You don't some deadbeat dad. I'm not about to name
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: my son after him, black Tony my son.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: And like all these these names, was I was looking
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: for something that was fearsome. And I always said with us,
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: for here we go back to one hundred and fifty
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: years and we're sitting out here in the woods and
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: trying to cook that rabbit, and we hear that didn't
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: mean turn up, That meant yeah, that pan, let's go, baby,
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: we got you.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: Matter of fact, that sounds if you hear that.
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: Before you get out in the woods, you women, we're
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: gonna stay here close to the fire.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: So they named this team after something fiercer, Give me
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: that one more time.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: So that because and that's what you named typically after
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: things of honor and respect. Do you put the name
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: of something on you know?
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: Yeah? Can I say this, I do understand what you're saying.
- 1:55:14Speaker 8: Only said it because I didn't realize that they're getting
- 1:55:19Speaker 8: an original. They were part of the license agreement. So
- 1:55:22Speaker 8: I'm not saying that. I'm hoping that they do get
- 1:55:24Speaker 8: what they deserve, even from the prior one. But I
- 1:55:28Speaker 8: do understand the prior part of it.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: A huge deal here outside of all the trades in
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: the NBA, as we talked about, Jimmy Butler, Luca Duncan,
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: Kyle Kuzma now was with Milwaukee, Chris Middleton is now
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: with the Wizards. Talking about the team, they had to
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: change their name from the Bullets to the Wizards because
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: of all the shootings back in the day from in
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: d C. That's how they had to change that name.
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: But a lot of NBA trades.
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: Didn't changed the culture in DC, but she's still the
- 1:56:00Speaker 3: shooting is still there.
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: Yeah, but we're not We're not condone they're saying. And
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: so what are they gonna say?
- 1:56:07Speaker 3: That's magic shootings because we're the wizard, like we're responsible
- 1:56:10Speaker 3: for Van Dolph.
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, man, that's but the super Bowl
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: is here.
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: We would give the predictions right here. Uh, in just
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: a second, but just and we'll talk about next week. Uh.
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: The new president, President Trunk, has signed in order to
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: ban trans athletes from women's sports. And I think this
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: would be a huge story if so much wasn't going on.
- 1:56:35Speaker 30: Right now.
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: And this has been a big topic in our country
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: for a while.
- 1:56:40Speaker 3: Well, Georgia has already before the administration change, had passed
- 1:56:45Speaker 3: a law and goes into effect this year that they
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: call the Protections Acts of Protection of Female Sports Act
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: or something like that. And the thing and the thing
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: you can't participate at all.
- 1:56:56Speaker 8: And the thing with this one, though it's good, was
- 1:56:58Speaker 8: for the United States, but we have to get the
- 1:57:00Speaker 8: international to get on it because they still can compete
- 1:57:05Speaker 8: in the other international Canada, loop around your own front.
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: Door, That's what I said. Well, we're doing we can't
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: control international We can only control our American borders and
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: this act and you know, I'm quite sure we hear
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: more about it if once the Super Bowl settles and
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: all these trades and settle down one thing. Do you
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: think Jimmy Butler and you know we talked about Doncits
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: and Lebron, You think Jimmy and Steph can work just
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: off the cuff? You think that's.
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: I don't Jimmy gonna go down there? Hey, Steph, listen
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: to this?
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: What listen?
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: I don't listen down here, Jimmy, I tell you what
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: to do.
- 1:57:53Speaker 3: And Jimmy is he Jimmy Buckets and he's taking that
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: mentality I want and I'm Jimmy Buckets. He feels like
- 1:58:02Speaker 3: he's been rewarded for being the sore tooth in the mouth,
- 1:58:07Speaker 3: the squeaky wheel, and now he fin to go down
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: there with that mentality and Steph and you know, I'm
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: light skinned, bro, I'm nothing.
- 1:58:13Speaker 18: Had at contion. They quote already came out with Steph.
- 1:58:18Speaker 18: Curry's expecting basically Jimmy to show up to work. He's
- 1:58:23Speaker 18: had a history of not taking the first half of
- 1:58:25Speaker 18: the season serious and then pick it up in the
- 1:58:28Speaker 18: second half, he's expected to show up.
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: Be interesting to see Kirk cousins here in Atlanta. A
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: lot of people expect Kirk to be cut by the
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: time free agency starts, but Kurt says that he really
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: was battling arm injury right there that last month of
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: the season when he was throwing the ball, and that's
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: what really plagued him being able to throw that ball
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: the way we saw him, it was a lot of flutters.
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: I know you sent the.
- 1:59:00Speaker 8: Yeah, our good friend of the show. D Lead also
- 1:59:03Speaker 8: reported that Kurt was in a ping pong event last night.
- 1:59:07Speaker 8: He came out, he had on a Falcon shirt. Then
- 1:59:10Speaker 8: after that he changed into just the blank, plain black
- 1:59:13Speaker 8: T shirt and everybody's just wondering after the room would
- 1:59:15Speaker 8: come out about him possibly being cut.
- 1:59:18Speaker 2: Why did he change out of the Falcon shirt in
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: that event for the Super Bowl?
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: Was it a Falcon event?
- 1:59:24Speaker 8: It was an event for the NFL for the ping
- 1:59:26Speaker 8: pong paddles ping pong him, he and a couple other
- 1:59:30Speaker 8: players were playing it. So d Led tried to ask
- 1:59:33Speaker 8: him a question about the shoulder and the possibility what
- 1:59:37Speaker 8: was going on, but they denied Falcons me.
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: Pr denied d lead even.
- 1:59:42Speaker 3: Access and something our lord listener, Uncle Charlie's let us
- 1:59:48Speaker 3: know that I didn't know a dozen eggs cost in
- 1:59:50Speaker 3: California eight dollars up to twenty dollars. Yes, for one
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: dozen eggs, And he was like, where is that egg truck?
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: Because I mean, see, that's what I'm saying. You create
- 2:00:01Speaker 3: the mark if you if you came across one hundred
- 2:00:03Speaker 3: thousand eggs and knew you could sell them for twenty
- 2:00:07Speaker 3: dollars a dozen, would you turn it into the police?
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: Yes, me too, Me too. I'm saying straight up, which
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: I want somebody?
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: I want something about me and my spirits says that
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: what Mama Johnson and Mama Tweety taught y'all. Y'all just
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: be betraying, y'all turn the truck into y'all ain't the
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: kind of guys. I would not have been out there hustling, cheating.
- 2:00:40Speaker 3: My mama taught me to be an upstanding person. That
- 2:00:42Speaker 3: would still be salty if I came home be able
- 2:00:45Speaker 3: to sell a dozen eggs for twenty dollarsand gave it
- 2:00:48Speaker 3: to the police.

- 2:03:06Speaker 1: did hit her, but she claims he broke her leg.
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: But come to find out, Sophie, you still had sex
- 2:03:16Speaker 1: with him that night. Hold on now, so you slept
