• 2:19
Speaker 2: Montour's emotional return this last Saturday, when he announced his
• 2:22
Speaker 2: brother Cameron had passed away after a battle with als.
• 2:27
Speaker 2: Just hours after Montor got in front of the media
• 2:29
Speaker 2: to talk about his time away with family, he entered
• 2:32
Speaker 2: climbing Pledgerina wearing a shirt bearing the phrase Cam Strong.
• 2:37
Speaker 2: He came back into the lineup with the Kraken, facing
• 2:40
Speaker 2: the Edmonton Oilers for the first time this season.

• 3:20
Speaker 6: Everley wasted no time beating Skinner one up in cracking.
• 3:23

• 3:32
  Speaker 7: What a same?
• 3:33
Speaker 5: Why joined a cord?
• 3:36
Speaker 6: Joe a film angled his skate on that. He his
• 3:39
Speaker 6: stick was tied up. He angled his skate, which you
• 3:41
Speaker 6: can do to try and redirect that buck into the
• 3:44
Speaker 6: back of the head. But Joey, the cord came up
• 3:46
  Speaker 6: big on it.
• 3:47
Speaker 5: Here comes Ryan Winter, Jim.
• 3:48
  Speaker 6: They'll find a step on.
• 3:49
Speaker 5: Henry drops the car Shay stop al right, cart Jay,
• 4:01

• 4:11
Speaker 6: After blocking two shots in the defensive end of the ice,
• 4:13
Speaker 6: Ryan winderdon picks the fuck up, goes down that right side,
• 4:17
Speaker 6: turns the jets on, pulls all of the defenders to him.
• 4:20
Speaker 6: Waits till the last second. Feet at the tight cart Jay,
• 4:23
Speaker 6: he beat Skinner two nothing cracking now.
• 4:26
Speaker 3: Lusion Hopkins right wing boo shard back of the line,
• 4:29
Speaker 3: usion Hopkins drive sidle, Boo Sard fires scares uh bomb
• 4:38
Speaker 3: from Evan Boo Shard right side and by Joey the
• 4:41
Speaker 3: cord cracking lead trem to one two one for twenty
• 4:45
Speaker 3: one left in the second period.
• 4:47
Speaker 7: Bo Shark couldn't keep it on side, but here's ahead.

• 5:36
Speaker 6: In Oilers pull back to it in one, three, two, five,
• 5:40

• 5:43
Speaker 2: Everett fits you al Koniski on those calls as the
• 5:45
Speaker 2: krack And knocked off Edmonton three to two in their
• 5:48
Speaker 2: first matchup of the season, and also mark the first
• 5:50
Speaker 2: time the krack And have beaten Edmonton in consecutive games
• 5:55
Speaker 2: that dates back two last season. The Kraken led by
• 5:58
Speaker 2: Jordan Eberley offense with a two goal night, his linemate
• 6:02
Speaker 2: and center Matty Banier's continuing to produce and gain plenty
• 6:06
Speaker 2: of positive attention with a two assist game. Also frequently
• 6:09
Speaker 2: mashed up with Connor McDavid Throughout the game, he was
• 6:12
Speaker 2: held scoreless and veniers in the face off circle, he
• 6:15
Speaker 2: won ten to fourteen draws. McDavid held to a two
• 6:19
Speaker 2: for twelve clip in the game, Joey Decord turning in
• 6:23
Speaker 2: Second Star honors. He held Edmonton to just two goals
• 6:26
Speaker 2: on thirty three shots and ty Kartshe also Third Star
• 6:30
Speaker 2: honors as his fourth line with Ryan Winterton and Ben
• 6:33
Speaker 2: Meyers turning plenty of heads along with that massive second
• 6:36
Speaker 2: period goal that you heard, capitalizing for a two to
• 6:39
Speaker 2: nothing lead, which put the Kraken in pretty good position
• 6:42
Speaker 2: heading into period three before they finally closed it out well.
• 6:46
Speaker 2: The Kraken, taking a day off on Sunday, came back
• 6:48
Speaker 2: to practice at Kraken Community ice Plex. Now in the
• 6:52
Speaker 2: middle of a pretty wide open span for Rest with
• 6:55
Speaker 2: just one game in six days. Defenseman Ryan Lindgren met
• 7:00
Speaker 2: with the media to discuss more on that, plus the
• 7:02
Speaker 2: game ahead with montreal 's first off again we were
• 7:05
Speaker 2: talking about earlier. I mean, you guys have been through
• 7:06
Speaker 2: the gauntlet with like six games and ten days. I mean,
• 7:08
Speaker 2: what's the feel like now having like one game in
• 7:10
Speaker 2: six days now being back home.
• 7:12
Speaker 8: Yeah, it's a little weird obviously. Yeah, we've been busy
• 7:14
Speaker 8: the last little bit here, been on the road, you know,
• 7:18
Speaker 8: got one back at home. But uh yeah, it's nice
• 7:21
Speaker 8: to have a couple of days to you know, just
• 7:23
Speaker 8: rest a little bit. And uh obviously we got a
• 7:25
Speaker 8: big one tomorrow and got to focus on that. But
• 7:27
Speaker 8: uh yeah, it's been a business schedule for sure.
• 7:30
Speaker 2: With the record where it is right now, where do
• 7:32
Speaker 2: you see the benefit of having extra practice time to
• 7:34
Speaker 2: kind of help reinforce what Lane has been driven in
• 7:37
Speaker 2: here for the last few weeks.
• 7:38
Speaker 8: Yeah, exactly that just you know, go out there and
• 7:42
Speaker 8: you know, make sure that our habits aren't slipping. Yeah,
• 7:45
Speaker 8: it's always nice to have some practice time and look
• 7:47
Speaker 8: at some video and you know, see what we can
• 7:49
  Speaker 8: prove on.
• 7:50
Speaker 9: Right, this is the best started for the team franchise
• 7:53
Speaker 9: history wise. I know it's your first year, but how
• 7:55
Speaker 9: beneficial is it for you guys, not just to bank
• 7:57
Speaker 9: some of these points early, but also or the confidence
• 8:00
Speaker 9: that that can it's still in you as a group.
• 8:02
Speaker 8: Yeah for sure, Yeah, I think it doesn't still confidence.
• 8:06
Speaker 8: You know, obviously we're we're off to a pretty good
• 8:07
Speaker 8: start here, and you know, I think that's huge, you know,
• 8:11
Speaker 8: each and every year to to get those points early.
• 8:13
Speaker 8: And yeah, we like the way we're playing right now,
• 8:16
Speaker 8: and yeah, we just got to make sure we keep.
• 8:18
Speaker 9: It rolling, especially on that front. A lot of these
• 8:20
Speaker 9: games have been super tight and you know, coming down
• 8:23
Speaker 9: to the last minute, one goal games. How how beneficial
• 8:25
Speaker 9: is it to sort of rack up some of those
• 8:27
Speaker 9: wins on those tight games?
• 8:29
Speaker 8: Now, Yeah, for sure. You know obviously on that on
• 8:33
Speaker 8: that trip, we had a couple of games that we
• 8:34
Speaker 8: were uplaid and they're able to you know, come back
• 8:37
Speaker 8: and and win the game. So yeah, it was good
• 8:39
Speaker 8: to see last game that we were you know, up
• 8:42
Speaker 8: laid and able to hold on to that and and
• 8:44
Speaker 8: get the win. And you know, those extra points are crucial,
• 8:47
Speaker 8: and you know, especially early season. So yeah, it's good
• 8:50
  Speaker 8: to see.
• 8:51
Speaker 2: Which has been having money back as the human and
• 8:53
Speaker 2: back also as a player.
• 8:54
Speaker 8: Yeah, it's been great. You know obviously you know, praying
• 8:58
Speaker 8: for him and in his family and you know we're
• 9:01
Speaker 8: all here for him. But uh, yeah, it's great having
• 9:03
Speaker 8: him back. You know, as a guy, he's such a
• 9:06
Speaker 8: tremendous guy, such a great, great teammate, and you know
• 9:09
Speaker 8: it's a hockey player obviously, his game speaks for himself,
• 9:12
Speaker 8: and you know it's a huge having them back there.
• 9:14
Speaker 8: So yeah, it's it's just it's really nice to see
• 9:18
Speaker 8: him and have him back for sure.
• 9:20
Speaker 9: Tomorrow. You guys obviously just played them. It seems feels
• 9:23
Speaker 9: like a week ago or so. Is there a benefit
• 9:25
Speaker 9: to sort of seeing a team that quickly for you guys, Yeah,
• 9:28
  Speaker 9: I think so.
• 9:30
Speaker 8: You know, obviously you you kind of know what they
• 9:32
Speaker 8: what they like to do. They got a lot of
• 9:33
Speaker 8: dynamic players and you know, a really good hockey team.
• 9:36
Speaker 8: So yeah, we saw him recently, obviously, have some film
• 9:39
Speaker 8: on them and you know kind of know what they're about.
• 9:41
Speaker 8: So yeah, it should be a good one tomorrow.
• 9:44
Speaker 9: Particular elements of you know, the game that you or
• 9:47
Speaker 9: the defense core is specifically are trying to have make
• 9:49
Speaker 9: sure he's dialed up for that match up.
• 9:51
Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean I think, you know, Like I said,
• 9:53
Speaker 8: they got a lot of really skilled players and you know,
• 9:56
Speaker 8: really good, you know, crafty guys. So yeah, as a defenseman,
• 9:59
Speaker 8: he just you don't want to make sure you're hard
• 10:01
Speaker 8: on them, and you'll be inspired with the Bucks. So yeah,
• 10:05
Speaker 8: it should be a good test for us.
• 10:06
Speaker 2: The Krack and have already received one look with Montreal,
• 10:09
Speaker 2: of course that five four overtime loss coming two weeks ago,
• 10:13
Speaker 2: but the New York Rangers also getting one look at
• 10:15
Speaker 2: them in a four to three win in Montreal four
• 10:18
Speaker 2: days later. Rangers radio pip by play voice Alex Faust
• 10:22
Speaker 2: joined us on Crack and Weekly to discuss Montreal and
• 10:25
Speaker 2: where they're at right now, first place in the Atlantic
• 10:28
Speaker 2: at seven and three.
• 10:29
Speaker 10: Oh, for my money, I think the Montreal Canadians might
• 10:32
Speaker 10: be the most exciting team in the National Hockey League
• 10:35
Speaker 10: right now. And I don't think I'm speaking out of
• 10:36
Speaker 10: turn by saying that, you know, just the skill on display,
• 10:43
Speaker 10: the style that they play, the speed with which they play.
• 10:47
Speaker 10: When we were in Montreal, you know, Dave Maloney and I,
• 10:51
Speaker 10: you know, would at each TV time out look at
• 10:53
Speaker 10: one another and say, wow, these guys play fast.
• 10:57
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 10:58
Speaker 10: I think the biggest question is it had has been
• 11:00
Speaker 10: for the last couple of years. Is you know your
• 11:02
Speaker 10: ice love Kowski the evolution in his game, can he
• 11:05
Speaker 10: keep up? And I think we've started to see he
• 11:08
Speaker 10: holds his own from a physicality standpoint better than when
• 11:11
Speaker 10: he first got in the league. But man Cole call
• 11:13
Speaker 10: fields an elite sniper. Layne Hudson deserving of the Calder
• 11:18
Speaker 10: Trophy last year, he's skace like the win. I mean,
• 11:21
Speaker 10: it's it's like the Ka mccarr two point zero uh
• 11:24
  Speaker 10: kind of deal.
• 11:25
  Speaker 8: And then you've got a.
• 11:26
Speaker 10: Couple of guys that you know fit very different roles
• 11:30
Speaker 10: and and seem to work well. I mean, you've got
• 11:32
Speaker 10: some bulk with arbor Jack guy if you need to
• 11:34
Speaker 10: have him in there. Noah Dobson, who's just been such
• 11:37
Speaker 10: a sturdy defenseman in this league the last couple of years.
• 11:41
Speaker 10: You've got centered depth.
• 11:42
  Speaker 8: Now.
• 11:42
Speaker 10: I know Alex Newhook is out for a while with injury,
• 11:45
Speaker 10: and that's that's gonna be an area where they're going
• 11:47
Speaker 10: to be tested here. But you know, when he's healthy,
• 11:50
Speaker 10: you've got a pretty good lineup up the middle. And
• 11:52
Speaker 10: then Sam Montebo, who's you know, I think he follows
• 11:57
Speaker 10: in a great line of keepa kwahan goaltenders who have
• 12:01
Speaker 10: a flare for the dramatic. He plays that way and
• 12:05
  Speaker 10: loves to entertain.
• 12:06
Speaker 2: So big thanks again to Alex Foust for joining us again.
• 12:09
Speaker 2: More of that conversation up right now on Crack and Weekly,
• 12:12
Speaker 2: plus a preview of what's ahead when the Kraken get
• 12:14
Speaker 2: back to the ice this next Saturday and what will
• 12:17
Speaker 2: be their first third Jersey Night. That's against the Rangers.
• 12:21
Speaker 2: But before that one more dates with Montreal, who again
• 12:25
Speaker 2: is coming in on a heater, winning seven of their
• 12:27
Speaker 2: first ten games and recently beating the Vancouver Canucks last
• 12:31
Speaker 2: Saturday four to three. This will be game four of
• 12:35
Speaker 2: a four game road trip Montreal coming in at two
• 12:38
Speaker 2: and one, suffering their only loss of this trip six'
• 12:41
Speaker 2: five Last thursday At. Edmonton Nick suzuki is their leading
• 12:45
Speaker 2: point getter but also their primary playmaker thirteen points in
• 12:49

• 12:52
Speaker 2: points have come off of this without, Questioning cole Kaw
• 12:56
Speaker 2: field their most dangerous goal scorer right. Now he's got
• 12:58
Speaker 2: seven in his first ten. Games with the, Youngsters Oliver,
• 13:02
Speaker 2: Kapadin Zach bolduk and you'r Is slavkovski not too far.
• 13:06
Speaker 2: Behind they've got four a, piece With montreal right now
• 13:09
Speaker 2: averaging three point six goals per game that sniff and
• 13:12
Speaker 2: nearly top five in the ENTIRE. Nhl so The kraken
